I ordered a coat for my toddler from The Children's Place on 09/09/22, it is now 09/22/22. I check the status and it's lost. I report this information to Children's Place. They refuse to refund or replace. I'm highly agitated with them. They give you different answers, once they take your money that's it. DON'T SHOP HERE.
Updated on 9/16/2022: Opened a claim for a shipment never received and shipped to the wrong address, and everytime I would call they would say it was still in process and then out of nowhere they said it was resolved, when they never even called. And now they keep sending me back and forth and now USPS nor the store are resolving the issue, and it's been 2 months and I haven't received the nor the package or my money back.
Original review: Made ordered and they delivered to wrong address and when they delivered and I called, they didn't even try to help and find a solution to my situation immediately and washed their hands with, "Oh just call the carrier and go from there." No kind of options, no kind of help, NOTHING. Very disappointed.
I ordered my son's school uniform pants from here on July 29, 2022. Bad mistake. My package was stolen out of my building's mailroom on Aug 2nd, 2022. The shipper (LaserShip) never put the package in the mail locker. Just threw it in the mailroom on some boxes. And now I'm out of the merchandise and my money. Because The Children's Place would not reimburse or replace the merchandise. I've read some similar reviews. I filed a complaint with the FTC and my local division of Consumer Affairs. I will be filing with the NY Attorney General Office as well.
My point is just don't write a review. Report them. With enough complaints we as consumers can stop this practice that they are doing. And the only way to do that is to report their behavior to the right agencies. This is what they're there for. We as the little people can't make but so much noise on our own. But together with our complaints can bring awareness to the right people. That can fight on our behalf. Most complaint filing is done online or you can call. Just don't write a review and then not report them. We have to let them know that it's not ok that you think you can just keep people's money. And the merchandise was never received. So numbers is power. Complain people. Complain to these agencies to stop The Children's Place online unfair practices against everyday hard working consumers.
I ordered a big order from them and they separated it into 3 deliveries. They sent 2 packages to the wrong address and refuse to fix it. I contacted the carriers which wasn’t easy because they had the wrong carrier. The carrier said that if Children's place gave the ok they could put the right address and reship it but children's place wouldn’t give permission. They have horrible customer service and don’t care what happens to the package after they get your money.
I ordered 3 pairs of sunglasses for my daughter which shipped on 5/13/22 and the package did not arrive until 5/28/22, 15 days later. That was not my issue. Children's Place packed 3 tiny pairs of sunglasses in a large box without packing material. It was a big box filled mostly with air. The box got crushed and the tiny glasses which were not secure in the box slipped out. I did not receive 2 out of 3 pairs of the glasses and Children's place refuses to replace them. They point the blame at the delivery carrier. My transaction was not with the carrier. My transaction was with Children's place. Until those items are in my possession, they are not mine. I paid Children’s place $9.65 for items not received due to their poor packing. I would like a replacement OR credit of $9.65. It’s not a large sum, but a large corporation should be able to make it right with a longtime customer. I paid them and they didn’t fulfill transaction.
Horrible experience with this company. I ordered some clothes for my boys and it was shipped to the wrong address. When I tried to call customer service but to my surprise they were closed. When I did finally get in contact with somebody I was informed that the package was already shipped and delivered and the only resolution I was offered was to try and contact the carrier to see if the carrier can go back and retrieve the package. When I asked why I wasn't given the information of who was delivering the package he couldn't answer that question. So now I'm out of money trying to dispute this with my bank and The Children's Place is blocking it claiming that there's no fraud. Well yes it is fraud. First off wrong billing address, wrong shipping address and the wrong individual received the package. I will never, never purchase from the store again and it's sad because they have really decent prices.
I would give them 0 if I could. Placed an order and it said, "Apply for a credit card and you will automatically receive 30% off at checkout." Applied. It said, "Congratulations. You were approved. Your discount will automatically be applied at checkout." Showed me what my new balance would be but when I checked out the 30% was not taken off. I emailed them immediately because their customer service center is closed on weekends. Gave them 5 days to respond.... No answer. Called and they refuse to credit me back the difference. Told me they will give me a coupon for next time. There won't be a next time.
I sent everything to my son directly because they live 2 hours away. Bought everything my grandson needs now because I was supposed to get 30% off. This is false advertising, they do not stand by their own advertisement. They told me to go return everything and repurchase it. I will return everything and never purchase anything from them again. Buyer beware!!!!
Place an order (#**) in March, apparently delivered on April 1st by Canada post, with nothing in the mailbox, contact customer service was told I was going to get a refund, placed a second order: Order Number **. Order Date April 7, 2022 at 3:49pm #**. F. D. ** to replace the one I never got (one item was already out of stock). Got it delivered straight to Canada post for me to pick it up. After over a month and countless phone calls and excuses still no refund. Used to buy my kid's uniforms from them either directly online or from Amazon, NEVER AGAIN.
Ordered from The Children's Place and ordered a pack of shirts size 5/6. They sent me size 4. Went to the store to return and they refused to return them due to no tags on the shirts. They came in a multi pack and had no tags when I received them. Customer service is a joke. They said no returns without tags and no exceptions. How can I return them with tags when they sent them with no tags. When I called back and disputed it they said I need to return to the store and speak to a manager. I spoke to the manager when I was there and she refused to return them. Customer service service said there is nothing they can do. No refund, no exchange, nothing. Awful service. I have never had a problem with customer service before but everything has changed now. Beware.
So I made 3 purchases, spent my last dollars on summer clothes for my son. They charged a second 'ret rev' transactions for each transaction. Basically return reversals without a return! I called and they acted like I was overreacting and said their authorization holds and will be returned within 3- 5 business days. First of all, I cannot afford to have this money pending, I'm a single mom on disability and I now have 90$ in limbo, my account is -62$, I've been charged a 10$ overdraft fee for my account being in the negative, not my fault because this is not a normal nor legitimate transaction! It's not an authorization hold, the money was taken and then a ' return reversal' yet no refund!
It's very Shady that they're doing this and I'm stressed because the money I'm supposed to get April 5th for my son's birthday cake and water table (birthday April 8) will not cover those things if my money is not returned to my bank account! I made an online purchase, I paid and now I feel deceived due to them using a deceitful way to take more money from my account. This is not acceptable. I would like my money returned immediately! Plus an extra ten dollars for the overdraft fee I incurred. I was not informed that any more than what I paid would be taken from my bank account and I did not authorize it. Very unprofessional of them. Who does this? I would suggest to not purchase things online with your own bank account and to use a prepaid Visa debit as to avoid this. I do not want to be stressed out as a customer. That's not the kind of experience I should be getting.
This is the second time that I ordered online but unfortunately, the customer support let you wait for 10 days more to get an update with your order. The last time I ordered, they said my package was lost but in the tracking Purolator didn't pick up my package from the warehouse. So after 2 wks of waiting they refunded my money. So right now, I tried it again and still there's no update, I don't know how they manage their business like this. It's so frustrating because I will use that order for my niece's coming bday.
PayPal added a wrong address to my order (which I cannot even find on my PayPal account to remove). I made a request to change the town in my shipping address within minutes of realizing the error. I am astonished that their customer service is so incredibly poor that they refuse to accommodate such a simple request. They also will not cancel the order even though it was only made minutes ago. They will ship the order and wait for it to be returned to sender, and perhaps after a month, I might receive my $300 back. Rest assured, I will never be shopping with you again in the future. Everyone complains that Amazon is taking an unfair share of the retail market, but perhaps that's because their shopping experience and customer service experience is so far superior to this nonsense. I have less and less sympathy for their competitors.
Did not receive package in mail. Was told by Natalie in customer service that my only option is to dispute credit card charges and I should reach out to UPS. No offers of assistance, help etc.. I strongly encourage you all not to use them.
You basically STOLE $140 from me by sending my order to the WRONG address! I have tried multiple times to contact you! You do NOT care that you sent my order to the WRONG home and claimed that you sent me my package! I never received it and I looked for it the second it was delivered per the notification!!! I am disputing the charge with my credit card! You will NEVER get my business again!!
Guys, PLEASE, STAY AWAY from online purchasing with this company. I always shop there at physical location, but since my bad experience online, I Will NEVER AGAIN order from them. I have never received my package from them. I have opened 5 different claims that are ALL stayed UNANSWERED. I called them and they told me they cannot issue me a refund, I have to ask my bank for it. What?!?! I used paypal. That's another headache that I have to deal with. They told me UPS shopped my package. I called UPS, they are telling that USPS was responsible for shipping my package to me. I called USPS, they are telling me it is not them. YET Children's Place is telling me it was supposed to be UPS. I sent them the email I received from UPS explaining that it wasn't them. They don't give a crap. I lost my money. Going on 3 weeks now, no package, no money refund. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! STAY AWAY.
Will constantly Flag and cancel orders that are legit. No wonder the company was involved in a lawsuit. Their shady practices are undeniable. How are they still open, I have no idea. This company needs to be boycotted.
The store does not honor Afterpay. It’s all false advertising. When you try and pay it tells you to try another method of payment. This store will not honor Afterpay. I know at least 5 people or more who tried to shop this store using Afterpay. It was declined.
We purchased around 22.57$ at OCT but didn't receive any email/mail/sms/phone notification that this is the minimum amount I have to pay or this is my billing date. I didn't receive any credit card Statement till date. I totally forgot about this activity and assumed I did the billing from my own credit card, and all of a sudden, my wife received a call on Jan 09 that around 89$ is pending due to late payment. I am literally disappointed with this type of unprofessional behavior and it's a kind of fraud in my view. I have already closed my credit card and not interested to fall in this loop again but would expect that they waive my late payment fee as it was not informed ever by any communication channel. Looking forward to see how it goes.
On Dec 28, 2021, I placed an order on Children's Place website. Need make changes, so I called their customer services. The agent told me that she canceled my order, I can place a new order. So, I placed a new order. They shipped both orders and charged both to my credit card. I called their customer services again. The agent told me that they shipped on Dec 29. The cancelation on Dec 28 is just a cancelation request, not a real cancelation. I asked him to schedule a pickup for the first order. He told me he cannot do it. In the new order, one item I ordered is a $19.98, 2 pack pajamas. The one I received only has one pack in it. I have to dispute on both orders. Waste time and money and feel troublesome.
Christmas pajamas for our grandkids were ordered on 12/12. On 12/14, we received an email stating that the items were shipped. Children's Place was advertising that items ordered would be delivered by Christmas which I felt was truly false advertising. On 12/20 I called customer service regarding the status of my order & was told to wait until 12/25 before inquiring again. I checked the status online on 12/26 which said that I should wait until 1/4. The tracking number provided no updates. I emailed them on 1/4 asking where my order was & letting them know that they were the only vendor who did not deliver items as promised. I received an email saying that there would be a credit to my account with no explanation for what happened.
I purchased an item online and used a coupon code together with a $10 rewards certificate. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong size and placed another order for the exact same item and price for an even exchange. I returned the wrong item in store but upon calling customer service, they said that they cannot do a price adjustment or reissue the rewards certificate or issue another one because it was already used. This is the worst rewards program that I’ve used and is certainly not worth it.
I placed a large order for my son for Christmas as many are currently doing, when I tracked my package noticed that it would be coming while out of town for Thanksgiving. The package was sent UPS SurePost, so I paid UPS 8 dollars to hold the shipment for pick-up at a UPS access point. Somehow there was a mix up and I received a email saying my shipment had been received at the access point, I go to access point to pick up and no package. As I am UPS searched it had continued its journey to my home via USPS and the driver delivered the box to the post office. With SurePost there is no way to hold the shipment for pick up which is important nowadays with package theft so rampant. Unfortunately I live in a area where packages of are stolen within 5-7 min of being put down, when I tracked my package this week it had been delivered to a person. That is all the tracking stated, no signature. Nothing. Just delivered to a person!!!! **.
I called Children's Place and have been getting the run around from both UPS,USPS and Children's Place about fault and Children's Place call center defaults to another country and all they do is read the script. This has been very frustrating since funds are tight this year! A package delivered to someone other than me, doesn't mean delivered. When speaking about this with USPS they confirm it is a known problem for my area and I now have to jump through hoops with USPS. Children's Place will not help me! After 14 years of supporting this brand I cannot unless I am in the mall, there is nothing to protect the consumer when doing online ordering, when everyone knows packages are stolen regularly nowadays!!!
Placed an order of 5 adult holiday pajamas on 11/16/2021. They claimed it was delivered on 11/20/2021 and that it was delivered to my mailbox! We have cameras and no such delivery was made. Also it's impossible for 5 adult pajamas to be delivered to a "Letter Mailbox" that barely fits regular size letter envelopes but yet they claim, 2 Large, 2 x large & 1 xx Large adult pajamas were left in my mailbox! I offered to send pictures of the mailbox & mentioned it's a multiple dwelling apartment building & they refuse to hear me out. I did dispute it with my credit card & saved a copy of my online chat with them as well & pictures. 'DISPUTE ANY CHARGES WITH YOUR BANK OR CREDIT CARD"!!
This company has by far the worst return policy of anyone! They will not return or refund without a receipt, even if they’re new with the tags still attached. To exchange, that item has to match exactly. That includes the exact same graphics on t’s. Unbelievable!!
I ordered from Children's Place on 11/15. By 11/16 I received a notification that my items have shipped. Great, right? Nope. Almost two weeks had passed and no package so I check the status. My package was out for delivery on 11/28 and then on 11/29 the status was updated to delivery delayed so I contact Children's place. First is hard to get anyone on the phone and when I finally did they said the status would need to be unchanged for 10 days before they consider working out a resolution with me. So I then submit an inquiry with the shipping company because guess what, they don't answer their phones either. I received a generic response and then they marked my package as delivered when they never showed.
I wait 3 days per the instructions on Children's Place website and when I called them back they tell me because the package is marked as delivered they cannot issue a refund and I would have to submit a dispute with my financial institution. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after being on hold for 30 minutes he gives me the same spill. Children's place and the shippers they use are robbers. Do not order anything from them because they definitely do not value their customers.
I have joined the fast-growing list of un-happy long time customers. Terrible service and blatant lies! They want me to accept that the items missing for several weeks are in transit simply because they have created a shipping label. That UPS label's tracking number on the UPS site indicates the package has not been handed over by TCP. Many un-happy customers...If I were CEO there would be a major shake-up! No competent CEO and board would allow a company to head in the direction TCP is heading.
I brought clothes from site at the beginning of November and here it is about to be Christmas. I still haven’t received anything. They refused to refund me my money until after Christmas. I will never order or shop there again.
I’ve been purchasing my kids clothings from TCP for years. The last year, it’s been terrible. The final straw was my order for Christmas, placed 11/27/2021. 5 items, all in stock. Was notified it shipped in 2 days and would be delivered 12/1/2021; Then delayed to 12/3/2021. Then no delivery, and no tracking information. TCP told me to take it up with the shipping facility - and if I don’t receive my order by 12/14/2021 I can do something about it.
On any normal circumstances, 17 days to wait for an order wouldn’t be terrible. But this order contains Christmas Day clothing. To wait until 10 days before Christmas to dispute an order seems like I won’t be having the order for Christmas. No one will get back to me. I used my store credit card to purchase this, which mind you- is 26% interest. So I’m paying more and more for items I don’t even have. Secondly, I’d like to comment on their accounting. I have automatic payment set up for my credit card to be debited from my bank account directly. They don’t debit until the day your payment is due. This result in the payment not posting for 24 to 72 hours. Two months in a row I’ve received a $37 late fee. It almost seems like it’s on purpose, cannot debit my account until the due date. Knowing that any transfer will take at least 24 hours.
Any other credit card this does not happen with, especially during Covid. I have four other credit cards I actively use, and none of them charge a late fee. Especially not for their own incompetence. I will not be purchasing my kids clothes from this store/company any further. They’re only worth it when they’re on sale, and honestly, their sales have been pretty bad lately. The cost of their clothes are gone up. Girls clothes cost more than boys clothes for the exact same item?? Take Your business elsewhere.
I ordered 5 pieces of clothing from Children Place on November 9, 2021. They use a company called On Track to deliver their packages. On Track said they delivered the package on November 23rd. At 6:15pm. I have a ring door bell. I showed no activity at my front door after 3:18 pm... I told On Track this and Children's Place this info.
I have talked to On Track 3 times now about my missing package. They gave me a case number and told me someone from Children's Place has to call On Track to verify the case number/ask them to look at the open investigation in order for me to get my refund back. No one from On Track has called me back. It's been 3 days. Childrens Place said they will not call On Track when it's their shipping company. Customer service person basically told me they don't do that. I won't get my refund back. To call my bank!!! I spent over 100 bucks. I don't have my package. They won't help me whatsoever. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never buy from this company again. I suggest you all dont support them either.
I ordered 8 items from The Children's place that said delivered however it was never delivered. I contacted Children's Place on numerous occasions to deal with the situation. Every time I was sent to contact the carrier then the carrier sent me to the shipper. I am so tired of being sent everywhere for answers with no resolution. I do not understand how a big company does not ensure the items that they ship and leave the customers without hundreds of dollars of items and no way to resend, compensate or get a refund for the items. Think twice before you order from Children's Place. You take the losses. The company only cares about itself. The customer does not matter!
In error I had made a duplicate order and immediately called the company to have the second order canceled. They refused to cancel it saying I would have to pay to ship it back to them despite how they hadn’t even shipped it yet. They didn’t ship it 'til 12 hours after I requested to cancel, they had AMPLE time to cancel it. So instead of doing the right thing for their long time client they instead just forced me to pay an extra $45 dollars for nothing. I will NEVER shop at this store again.
Children's Place shipped out a package that said was delivered but never came. When I reached out to them they refused to help me or refund my money. This company does not care about their customers and will rob people of their hard earned money. There is nothing I can do to get my money back. Children's Place told me to call their shipping company which also hasn't done anything to help me. Then they told me to take it up with PayPal which is also a dead end. I will never shop here again because this experience shorted me of 60 dollars worth of clothes that never showed up.
I ordered three sets of boys pj's and a girl's coat. I've gotten the alert on my phone that the package was delivered and when I got home from work, I looked for my package and it was nowhere to be found. I asked my elderly neighbor if a package was mistakenly delivered to her and she did not get a delivery. So I waited a few days to see if my package will arrive and still no package. I contacted Children's Place customer service and the lady told me that it shows my package has arrived and it is nothing they can do and will not be able to refund me or send me another package and that I will have to contact the postal carrier to find out where my package was delivered. I have been fighting this for a week now.
Never shop here ever! If your package is lost in the mail, they won't refund your money, because in their eyes it's your fault it's lost. So you just will be shorted out of whatever amount money you spent, they will tell you to address it with everybody but them. So they can keep your money basically they are scammers out to steal your money.
I've done many orders with them and never had an issue, but the last two packages that I ordered, I did not receive them, so I called for help. They kept sending me in circles and telling me to call a bunch of other people. It started getting frustrating to the point where I don't want to do business with them anymore. I still haven't gotten a refund or replacement for both my orders and I don't know what to do because I need my money back.
Bought a winter coat for our child. Size was much bigger than tagged. And way too puffy, so couldn’t be used in car seat. Brought to store to return less than a week later. Was told by clerk the coat was on sale, so, although we paid $80, we would only receive a $45 refund. This is robbery. Asked for manager. Manager Rudely said “do you want to the money or not”? Decided to keep the coat and donate it. Will never shop at this store again. If this store ever comes up in conversation I will tell this story. I will tell this story every time I hear a retail nightmare mentioned. How Rude!
I placed a 22 item order that was split into 4 different orders on the 5th of October and to date I have received 4 pieces. That do not even match, My daughter has picture day coming up at school and we have NOTHING to wear. Thanks to the lies told by this company in reference to delivery date. Customer Service could care less and I have made several calls concerned about my order and they could absolutely care less. If I can not grab it from the store I will never order from this place again. Thank you for ruining my daughters Pre-K Picture Day. :(
I made a purchase at the mall at the Children's Place & they offered the credit card and blah blah, so she said, "The good thing is you don't need your sales receipt if you need to return when you use your card. I said, "Yes I love that stores do this. It makes it so much easier." So I got the card, even paid it off at that same day, I talked with her saying, "I'm not sure if the clothes will be needed. We think there's a dress code but they aren't sure at the moment." So she said, "If you are going to pay it off & think you will be returning things it will only place your account in a credit of the amount." I said, "I know I love seeing that makes me feel like I have extra money laying around." So that's when she said it about the sales receipt.
But anyway I went to the store without the sales receipt. It was hectic in the store the day that I purchased this stuff. As all back to school parents I'm sure understand my frustration haha. But I went yesterday and they said they can't just run the card for the return. I said, "What do you mean all stores do it," & the lady and I talked about this the day I got the card & made the purchase. She said she doesn't know who told me this but it's not true, so I went on email 3 check for the emailed information that I got that they got my email address for. And I can't find it, she gave me a number and I called it right there in the store.
Meanwhile one of my kids is spinning in circles, the other holding himself cause he has to use the bathroom, the # she gave me was useless, so I tried to call the number on the back of the card & it buzzed in my ear (not like a fax just a strange noise). I said I need to go take the kids to the bathroom and I will be back, well the boy wet his pants on the way so I was all around frustrated.
I got on Google to see who do I call. There's even a spot that you can click for your receipts & I clicked it thinking omg was it this easy? Well it definitely wasn't. So I sat in the family bathroom trying to reach someone to help me with this & got put on hold switched to a different person a few times because they couldn't help me, & turned out once I got to hopefully is the right person they was closed. So today should be such a joy when I go back into the store this time after kids are in school.
I am going to try another store because they definitely wasn't trying to work, the only reason the lady did come to the register was because the girl on register was training and needed help. There were two other store workers standing there chit-chatting about when they went out over the weekend, so when she came up to help the girl she said, "I can help you over here." I thought well damn it's about time, because I was standing there for almost 20 minutes waiting. I wasn't trying to be rude. I could tell the girl was new but I also couldn't understand why two people were standing there just talking while there was a line building up. And then come to find out there's somebody in the back office as well. So I will never return to that store and if I could not get any help with this today they can keep their credit card and shove it up their **. I might just be one person but I hope this helps somebody in my forever rant...
So I ordered from Children's Place 250$ worth of clothes for my baby sister, they said they delivered the packages and I never received it. After calling them and OnTrac they still are telling me they can’t replace my stuff. I told them I have cameras and no one came to deliver my things and they still didn’t do anything… at this point I’m seeking legal counsel because this is crazy. I work hard for my money for them to not try to make things right when I never received what I purchased!
I placed an order 3 weeks ago. Tracked it down. Says package damaged in delivery. TCP never called to tell me or send me a new package. I had to call them and even after calling them AND speaking to a supervisor, they refused to send me a new package. How does this make any sense at all?
If your package got lost - they won't do anything. No one ever will reply to you via email or update on the status of the ticket. Calling won't do anything, after an hour on hold, they said that there is nothing they can do.
I order online and when selecting shipping to come earlier it said it would be here by Tuesday 8/17/2021 but now is Wednesday and still have not received it. I would have not wasted $20 on getting my shipment early if it would have came later than the date that was given. They give false dates online and will do nothing to make up for their mess up. I never Had a problem with ordering online through Children’s Place and I have never rushed an order But the first time I do and it was not worth it I had to go buy other uniform elsewhere and now at losing out on $20 when it was not rushed. Depending on ever ordering from children’s place online maybe will start shopping locally when my needs will be met. I spend a lot of money with children’s place and also refer a lot of people to shop here and now I will not be doing that. It is much easier In person and the customer service is better in person than on the phone trying to fix this issue.
Ordered online from them. One part of my order is to be delivered by Lasership (the carrier nor The Children's Place knows where my order is at) and I have one polo being delivered by UPS. Makes no sense. Now I am being told they have 7-10 business days to process my order. Will never buy from them again.
I was purchasing school uniforms for my kids but they promised a 30% discount on an order, the literally said price 100 with the credit card 70 but clearly is a fraud. They did charge me the whole amount, only gave me 1000 and my credit score went down, what a bad decision trust this company.
I've had this account for a couple of years. I pay the balance off every time I use it. I received a new statement with only a late charge. I paid it. The next month I received another late charge from the last balance that I paid off that was only a late charge. I called to get it reversed and it was a nightmare. They must outsource their calls to another country because there was a terrible language barrier issue. I couldn't understand the service rep and then she accidentally put me on hold and never came back. She hung up on me. I called back again and when prompted I cancelled my account. Then I selected to be connected again to a service rep. I once again got a service rep. A gentleman this time who I could hardly understand. I explained that I already paid the balance in full last month which only consisted of a late fee. I told him I'm not paying you another late fee upon a late fee and I asked him if he could reverse it.
He told me he couldn't reverse the late fee because the account was now closed. So I asked for a supervisor and finally I got someone who I could clearly understand. I explained my situation and he told me that I had to reopen the account before he could reverse the late fee. So, I reopened the account and he reversed it. I will close the account as soon as the reversal finishes pending. This took up an hour of my time to have a late fee reversed. I understand cutting down on cost but jeez you're outsourcing to people we can't even understand. And you can't get someone who speaks good English unless you escalate the call. Who has time for that?
I made an online purchase for two toddler shirts. I received a notification via email when my order got delivered, and upon checking it, there was only 1 shirt in the package. Although it said both shirts were delivered, they did not package one of them. I needed the shirts for an occasion I am attending out of town, and unfortunately they do not sell this particular shirt in stores. Although they issued a refund for the missing shirt, it was such an inconvenience. I am now on the search to find something similar for my son before my flight leaves tomorrow. I don’t trust ordering anything else from them online. Please do better Children’s Place.
I ordered some merchandise and received an email the merchandise was shipped. On May 4th UPS delivered the package and left it at the front door of my apartment building. Since the package was delivered at a time I was at work I was unable to retrieve it. I contacted children’s place and informed them I never received the package since it was delivered during the time I was working and no one was home to receive it, they informed me I had to reach out to UPS. I then reach out to UPS they say they can’t place a claim because the vendor children’s place needs to file a dispute on my behalf.
I reach out to children’s place and inform them of this and they say they can’t refund me my 200 dollars nor reshoot the merchandise because the package shows delivered even though it shows it was left at the front door. I have been going back and forth for almost a month being bounced between my bank who won’t file a claim because the package shows delivered, although it was left at my door, and No one wants to assist. Please beware of these situations because if it happens to you they will give you the runaround. In the meantime I have no merchandise and no money!!! Buyer beware!!
I have been ordering for many years and have never had an issues. However, I ordered a few items about a month ago and the items were shipped separately. I received one package but not the other. When I called customer service they basically blew me off. Told me to spend hours on the phone with my bank or the post office to resolve my own issue. They refused to either reship the item or refund the amount. This is the only retailer that I have ever tell me to solve my own problems. Most likely will never shop there again.
I am discouraged by this company's difficult website to maneuver. At no point is there a prompt to SEND order.. The screen whisks quickly to the order complete and there is no recourse to alter order.. This seems non customer friendly. Offer to give 30% was not honored on placing my first order using the credit card. Call service center in Columbia, S.A. operator was snippy, horrible customer service skills! When you sign up for the credit card you are sent an instant email which also contains the 'coupon codes' for 30% off. Once you place your order if you aren't aware that this code must be entered and you place the order there is No way to get customer service to apply the discount. When I receive this order for $138 it will be returned to the store and the credit card destroyed! This is a disappointment!
I placed an order on February 28th 2021 and received an email confirming the order was received. When I didn't receive any notification of shipping, I called customer service. I have now called customer service at least 4 times. It is March 17. Each time I call I get the same response, read from a manual stating that the order is confirmed and in process but not ready for shipping as yet. The customer service representatives were not able to provide any further information as to the status of the order. They provided no information beyond what was already provided in the original email. They apparently have no way of contacting the warehouse to inquire about the status of the order, other than to send an email, which always returns the same information already provided in the original email. One of the agents actually responded by sending me the same email again.
At this point, it looks like I will have a disappointed child at her birthday and from reading the other reviews, it seems possible that my order might never come. The customer service agents are unapologetic and continually repeat the same information. It seems clear that this company is unclear about what good customer service means. This is my first purchase with this store. I'm very disappointed and will not shop here again, of course -- given that it seems possible that shopping here is not really shopping at all.
I first ordered a $59 value of clothes, and it shows delivered but was never delivered to me! I haven’t heard back yet. Then I order $30 value of more clothes, it still hasn’t been shipped out! What is going on? I’ve always had a good experience with them!
I ordered three pairs of pants for my 6 1/2 year old daughter online, and unfortunately I chose size 5-6 instead of size 7-8. So the pants were too low in the waist and I wanted to exchange for another size at the store. The sales person said there was a stain on one pair (even though you could see the fold creases from the shipping and they smelled like new clothes)...and she refused to credit the pair of pants that were clearly never worn - my return was within the week. They were shipped to me and I came to the store with my purchase receipt. How frustrating and a waste of money. Never again.
I've made an order that I never received. Apparently it was stolen off my porch. I have been trying to reach someone as to what to do in this case and would like the items resent or refunded. Still no help.
After my mother bought a pant for her grand grandchildren, the size were too small, my mother lost the ticket. When we went to the store to talk to the store manager, the manager said that she couldn't change the item for another size because they do not have the item, we ask for exchange for another item and we will cover the cost difference, the manager said that her policy won't allow her to do such thing that we need to call the customer service number to get the ticket.
I have been doing this for the last 45 days and every time the customer service representative hang up as soon as I explain that I want to put a complaint against the manager, the customer service rep hang up the phone. This is the worst customer service I have receive, also I would recommend that this stores are investigate because this is kind of a scam. They allow you to buy the product without explaining the return policies and after they just do not allow the exchange or return.
Ordered a Christmas gift for a baby boy and told it was shipped Dec 3rd. I have yet to receive it (now Dec 19th). Now I will probably have to buy another gift if this doesn't come within the next day or two. Don't offer free shipping if you don't use a reliable courier. My advice to customers is don't select free shipping if you need the purchase by a certain time to avoid disappointment. Just pay the extra cost or shop somewhere else.
Please do not give this company your hard earned money. I ordered my son clothes. Have yet to receive. Going on 15 days now. I was emailed informing me one of the shirts they did not have. At this point I just wanted a refund. Not only was I never refunded for a shirt they didnt have. I got charged on my account twice for one order I have yet to received. Every time I check the shipping it says running behind. Every time I email or get a hold of customer service I get no reply or hung up on and told I cannot do anything about anything until I physically receive my order!! When I could be spending that money somewhere like carters where my order gets to me in a timely manner and I am an appreciated customer. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Don’t believe me? Look up the law suits against Children’s Place right now. Horrible service! So sad.
I ordered two separate items from The Children’s Place and never received it, totaling $150.00. When I call, the line is busy due to high call volumes and disconnects the line from me. They told me to file my claim with USPS and USPS tells me to go to UPS since the items were shipped through UPS originally and forwarded to them to deliver to me. Over two months and I have no clothes and no refund and can’t speak with anyone from CP. I am very upset and frustrated because the times were Christmas gifts for my children. This company is horrible and I wish I never ordered from there. Ruined Christmas!!
Ordered a coat for our toddler grandson on Nov 27th. It is now Dec 10th and still no coat! Customer service was rude and not helpful! Will not order from here again!! We live where it's cold and my grandson needs a coat. Never thought Children's Place was like this!!
I made 3 orders almost $500. The first did had not ship and I ordered a second order and I saw the order #2 shipped but not the first, I started making phone calls. Couldn’t get through. I sent an email, no response. I finally got the items almost a month later. Order #3, shipment lost, called and they said I had to file a claim with USPS. I said I want a refund because I didn’t have time to file a claim on a lost package like they told me to. It shipped to New Jersey and still no package. They take your money and have absolutely no repostar, no compassion and do not even attempt to resolve your issue. I’ll never order from them again. They stole my money!
I placed an order on September 16, 2020. On September 21, 2020 I received notification that it was shipping but be patient because it is taking longer due to Covid. I checked the UPS site and they were awaiting the package. It is now November 6 and they are still awaiting package. I have emailed The Children's Place to no avail. I have called customer service only to be told by the automated system that they are experiencing an unusual number of calls and to call back later--click!
I actually stopped into a store in Iowa City, IA and was told by the very rude young sales clerk that she has heard of orders taking two and three months. I was also told it wouldn't help for them to call customer service because they would not get in either!! But they would sell me the items I had ordered in the store which I had already paid for them via my credit card which was charged on September 21. I actually received an email asking how I liked the items I ordered! Really--wouldn't know! I will never order from this store again. They can also stop offering me their credit card!!
My order was shipped to the wrong address and shown delivered but wasn't at the delivery location. After calling the customer service phone number and sitting on hold for over 20 minutes I spoke to Baola and explained the situation to her. I was told there was absolutely, positively nothing that Children's Place could or would do. That I had to open a claim with the USPS. No concern whatsoever on $145 of winter clothes for my son that was incorrectly shipped by them to a wrong address. When I asked for the spelling of her name I was told by Baola "B as in you're a bully". Her supervisor when I told him about it told me he'd review the call to see if the incident really in fact happened. When asked to be transferred to their credit people to dispute the charge I was sent to a phone number that was fully automated with no options to talk to a human. Definitely will not be shopping with Children's Place ever again. Extremely disappointed.
I have reached out to Children's Place Online Department since 10/8 during their business hours 9am-5pm Est. The online service mentioned they were close. I also reached out to their corporate department same message. If you reach 800527355 or 18777522387. I ONLY needed to change my address to sender. This have been poor lack of service. This have left me extremely with a bad taste in my mouth about Children's Place. I also, want to point out their Chat Customer Service system wasn't available online. How can you guys stay in business what the following issue?
I purchased some items online. I thought (like everyone else) they would be delivered within a week... I was moving in 2 weeks. OK, so they're slow - I messaged their customer service after a week, asking for them to update my mailing address. They said they could not (even though they didn't ship it for another week). They told me to call USPS (which I did, and even though I had a change of address, they still delivered it to the old home). I reached out to their corporate contacts - no response. Children's Place is horrible - I will never shop online with them (when Walmart, Target and Amazon can deliver the next day) - and because of their corporate attitude on customer service, we will never shop here again. It cost me $50, but they lost a customer for life.
I’ve always been into the store and thought they had good quality and never had any issues. However with the COVID stuff still going around and my kids back in school I decided to order things online from them. Everything I ordered said it was in stock. I ordered about $80 worth of stuff and got a confirmation #, and thought everything was good. Within 2 hours I received an email saying that I wouldn’t be charged and that my order was cancelled but it didn’t say why. I tried calling every number I could find for them with no response. However the DID still charge my card. I sent an email to their customer service. Well no big deal they will probably just refund it, so LIKE AN IDIOT I tried to order it again. And AGAIN they sent an email saying they cancelled my order and I wouldn’t be charged.
And of course they took the money out of my account again. So I sent an email again. I had to end up going through my bank and disputing the charges to get my money back. I FINALLY got a response to ONE of the emails (As each one I put my specific order number on) with no real explanation as to why they cancelled my orders. I’m not an idiot address, name, bank info, it said it was in stock, but they sure charged me for it! They wouldn’t have given me my money back either (Even thought they said they would) like I said I had to dispute it through my bank as a fraudulent charge. This whole thing made me so mad I don’t even want to go into their stores anymore. I don’t like doing business with people that straight up try to steal my money with NOTHING in return.
I placed an order online, and I received 2 of the 4 items. I called their customer service hotline, 1-877-752-2387. It is the hotline for Children's Place and Gymboree stores. After selecting CP customer service representative, I got a message stating that there is a high call volume. Rather than hearing, "your call is very important to us, please stay on the line," the message hangs up on you. I called back and selected "All other inquiries." I was able to speak to a representative and get a tracking number. He was not able to provide an estimated delivery date, and referred me to the deliver service. CP's phone system needs to be repaired so it doesn't drop customers.
Did I mention Bad... Typical company... Started out, found some success, paid the top good money. They went on vacation and the rest is history.. No more of my business or anyone I can convince not to use them. Did I mention Bad...
I placed an order on September 18th. It took a week before I even received an email stating that The Children's Place had received my order. I waited a few more days and reached out to customer care to ask where my order was and when it might ever ship. No response was ever sent. I finally received confirmation that my order had shipped and the tracking showed it would be delivered on September 26th. Well that date came and went with no delivery. No, order status updates. No, "Hey sorry we are delayed." Nothing!! Radio silence.
I reached out again to customer service to ask where my order was and I still to this day have received no response to my first or second email. I finally found out my order would be delivered on October 3rd by checking the tracking myself. Again no delivery as promised. So I checked the tracking and once again it states the package will be late. I now have placed a third email to the The Children's Place. I seriously doubt they will ever respond. I also contacted Comenity to cancel my 'The Children's Place' credit card. This will be my first and last order with The Children's Place.
It's not even so much the ridiculous shipping times or the missed delivery dates. It's really the lack of customer care. Their prices are cheap! I'd assume their clothes are probably about the same quality as is their customer care, but I can't comment since I don't have anything 16 days later. Lower quality clothing is what I fully expected and was willing to accept for play clothes. I just kind of expected to actually receive something for my money. Parents looking for children's clothing... Rest assured your order would arrive quicker if you had someone start from strips of fabric, hand sew the items and then ship them by car from China. Order anywhere else.
I went to place an order and my total JUMPED up by $25 and every price changed as soon as I hit checkout, immediately called and they said they cancelled It, reversed charges and then days later recharged me and said there was nothing they could do when I called to confront them again. Now my package is apparently coming, even though the tracking number provided doesn’t lead anywhere and the only thing I can do is return the items if they ever arrive. Absolutely awful customer service and I will never be using their company again. I never ever write negative reviews but am so disgusted by how this company runs its business.
This is the second time I had an issue regarding the shipment and I called customer service on both times. They only like to read to you the issue, but do not know how to empathize and find a solution to the issue. The second one even laughed at me over the phone.
There's a reason this company is going out of business. I ordered a few items in May & June and they didn't fit. I just tried to return them, never worn & tags on, over the 45 day return policy even though I was told they had extended the return policy. They wouldn't allow me to return the 3 items nor would they allow an exchange. I called customer Service while in the store and they confirmed that their return policy is quite strict and they had no way of allowing a return or exchange but offered me a $20 dollar coupon and that I could gift the items I was trying to return.
I will officially never shop at this store again. If you're going to have such rigid return policies for children's clothing then you deserve to go out of business. We all know kids clothing doesn't always fit and who has the time to be driving around looking for their stores or spend more money on shipping than the actual items during COVID only to deal with such non-sense. Go to Carters or the Gap, honestly anywhere else!

After seeing all of the great discounts, I decided to order all of my 4 children's school clothes from them! Ordered on 8 7 20 received 8 11 20! Very nice clothes! I am happy, kids are happy! Everything fit!
I buy from this place often, so I wasn't expecting problems. I ordered some summer clothes for my granddaughter & had them shipped to my son's house. He told me when she opened the pkg, it smelled horrible! Rather than letting me return them, he washed them. I contacted Children's Place, can't even get a reply! They're using covid as their reason/excuse to not answer emails. My shopping with them is done!
I bought 2 shoes yesterday in The Children's Place in Vaughan Mills.. The other one no tag so they just write with pen on the receipt.. Then when I got home the other one not fit to my daughter so today I decided to change the size.. I told the cashier that I change the size of the shoes and I also got the size that I need. So she get the receipt and told me why in the receipt no tag but the shoes have tag.. I explain to her that yesterday the other one has no tag but the one is fit to my youngest daughter., Then the other lady came and ask me if change the size. I said yes.. Then she leave and bring my receipt and the shoes..
I'm waiting for almost half an hour.. Then I said, "What happened," the cashier told me, "You need to wait ma'am..," then the lady came and told me that maybe I bought the shoes to the other store and the receipt I bring is not the right one.. I said, "No. I bought it here.." Then when she go the cashier area she saw the other shoes (the one that not fit).. And she blame me that she asking me if that shoes (the one that I got) and she said I said yes.. She didn’t check first the other shoes (tag) before she leave and check... She’s the one who get mad and blame me.. And the cashier too didn’t approach me well.. She just laughing at me.. They didn’t say sorry to me because I'm waiting for too long.. They didn’t treat the customer right. :( I'm not happy with the service.
I applied for their credit card since 30% was offered off of my order. I have everything ready for checkout in my cart, I have all specific sizes and wanted to check out today. I was not able to do that. I spend long periods of time waiting for someone to answer the phones. However when they did answer, the employees were no help. I specifically had to call multiple numbers for the card then The Children's Place and no one was able to help me. Why advised something if the customer cannot applied the discount on their purchase. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had.
On June 15 I placed an order for 3 pants to be delivered as in previous orders to my son’s address and because of delays history, I paid an additional $20 on a $17.34 order for expedite shipping as offered. A month later and after several calls I received a text stating my package was undeliverable! Customer service couldn’t explain what happened and offered a full refund to my credit card. A week later they only refunded the items cost but not the shipping and told me get a credit on my rewards or go fight it off with UPS to whom I am a third party and didn’t directly paid or hired for services. Once they get your $ you will never see it again‼️
My order was never received, even though it says delivered we didnt get it. I called The Children's Place for more than a month, to answer or resolve, I emailed them over 10 times and received the same automated email and final after almost 3 months, I get a human reply stating it shows delivered, so I need to take it up with USPS. order#**. I guess orders have never been lost or not received in their world but I do have to say this was by far the worse customer service experience of my life and I have already gotten 9 of my friends and family to stop shopping there because of similar online or in store experience and I am going to tell everyone who will listen about their unwillingness to try and settle the matter by giving me a refund. I am speaking to BBB and will be posting to Yelp, Google, and anyone else who will listen. Never again will they get any of me or my friends money.
I bought my son 4 outfits and they sent it as partial packages. 1st I got 1 pair of shorts and 2 shirt. The second package was another pair of shorts so I literally had 1 outfit that matched. I was still missing 2 shirts and a pair of shorts. After a month goes by I finally get a email. My 3 package is on its way and would be here by the 8th and they had charged my card for those items but by the 10th I didn't have them so I call and they say it's because there was a problem with the warehouse and they never shipped me those items but charged my card but would give me 15$ in points to go order something else but when I tried it wouldn't accept my points. Needless to say after 3 phone calls I finally just got a refund and will shop elsewhere to find matches for my random clothes they sent to me. I won't shop here again!
In April I ordered a 6 month old body suit for my daughter. I was charged 12.59 for it. It took a month to come. I received it in May. On June 30 I was charged an additional 12.59 out of my account from The Children’s Place for no reason. I spent an hour and finally got through to customer service. The lady looked at my account and noted that yes I was charged for June the 30 because I wasn’t charged in April. She then puts me on hold for 20 minutes. The customer service agent then told me that I was charged the 12.59 in April and not in June. I asked her why, she said she saw that I was charged the 12.59 in June. She said she never told me that. I asked her why she was lying and she told me it was my bank's fault.
I began my order, the next day the items in my cart disappeared so I had to start again. I placed an order for 20 items. I have only received 4. Customer service number just hangs up. Higher than usual call volumes. Goodbye.
I read reviews prior to deciding to order several items from The Children’s Place. Reviews warned the company could make multiple charges to your bank account, therefore I decided to purchase a gift card to pay for the items I wanted. I purchased the gift card from Amazon for the exact amount I needed and amazon emailed the card number within minutes! I then completed the order and purchased the items. They were here within a few days. I also decided to “double watch“ the shipping history/dates by going directly to the shipping companies’ websites (USPS and UPS) and signing up for their text updates. This was helpful, as it did not always line up with what the Children’s Place reported through emails. When the clothes arrived, they were great and fit perfectly. So, overall, given the extra steps I had to take to ensure this, my experience was mostly pleasant.
I placed an order on The Children’s Place on June 5th, I ordered a total of 20 items. They canceled 6 of my items and delivered my last package on June 29! Through the delivery process they charged my account as every package delivered, keep in mind that you don’t get your full online order in one package. After they canceled my 6 items and told me that my items I paid for wouldn’t be delivered I tried contacting PayPal and also the customer service line for children’s place they both kept sending me to talk to both of them! I haven’t yet received my money back. The process of getting your order is extremely long and stressful and let’s not forget to mention they can cancel your items at any time and not give you the difference back! If I could rate my experience 0/5 stars I would. Don’t waste your time or money shopping with them, it’s a complete scam.
I placed an order online for 5 shirts 4 pants from Children's Place. On the website it states FREE SHIPPING!! So I thought everything was all good. I was happy with my purchase. I spent in total like $55.00 because like I said you get free shipping. I didn't use my debit card to pay (thank goodness) I used my Venmo account. Again they state on the website free shipping!! Next thing I know I'm a notification from my bank saying saying Children's Place charged my card $16.98. I'm like wait... what is going on right now.
So I call customer service... bam they hit me with "the lines are busy; please call back another time". OK... so I was like I will call back later... Called back and heard the same message. So then I thought to jump online and look at the reviews. Noticed everyone was having the same problem as me. So I keep calling customer service to no avail but wait... they are still trying to charge my card. They are currently trying to charge me $9.79. It's crazy!! I can't get through to customer service but yet someone can keep trying to charge my card. I will never order online from Children's Place again.
I purchased a lot of clothes, shoes and sunglasses the end of April. I received most of the items within a couple days I believe. I was getting a package every other day then it stopped. I got an email on May 9th saying a package would be delivered on May 10th on Mother’s Day. I’m like that’s odd but okay, but I never received the package. 22 items are still missing and I’ve sent a lot of emails to customer service. Called & still can’t get through. I got an email back saying they’ll contact me soon and gave me case #s for my claims.
It’s been 2 weeks since they sent that email and a few days since I sent another email telling them how unprofessional they’re being. To top it off I was charged for the items and it says they were delivered. I’m annoyed because I purchase double so my kids can match, & one of them has this shoe and that shirt or this shirt & those shorts. I sent pictures of the items I received & pics of items I didn’t receive, they could’ve easily sent what I didn’t get. I have never had problems from the store or online but if I don’t receive my items or my money back they lost a loyal customer.
I placed an order with a total of 8 items. USPS delivered my package to the wrong address and was unable to retrieve it. I called customer service to let them know what happened and they refused to give me a refund. I had proof of what happened, the post office emailed a letter apologizing for what happened and advised me to send it to Children’s Place. They still refused to give me a refund and kept advising me to call my financial institution. I’ve been supporting this store since 2009, and I am highly upset. I will never patronize this store again.
I placed an order online. The initial transaction was a success and I was pleased with it. Days later I started getting text alerts from my bank regarding purchases being made from there website and I wasn't even online let alone on their website. It happened twice in one day! I tried contacting them by phone and of course since COVID-19 is happening "they're experiencing higher than normal call volume and cannot accept any calls at this time". Before the call ends they ask you to try your call later except this is the message that you'll get every time. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT ALL BUYERS BEWARE!!! Unless you want to have your bank issue you a new card after your purchase I'd recommend that you steer clear of this company.
I placed an order online for some clothes with Children's Place on 27 May 2020. A few of the cheaper items got delivered but a large part of the order containing the more expensive items is still 'in process'. I have sent three emails and called numerous times. The call centre disconnects asking to call later and the emails are not even auto acknowledged. I have made the payment already and I am thinking of asking my credit card company to reverse the transaction.
I placed two orders on May 24th. I am still waiting on shipment! I have sent several emails with no response. I have called twice. Both times I was told that my items were packaged and ready for pick up. Their excuse is that the delivery people will not pick up. I do a lot of online shopping and this seems to be the only company that do not have a service that picks up items on a regular basis. Hahahahaha! The second call I caught them in a lie when they said that they were waiting for a store to package up the items and ship after they told me everything was ready and waiting. Then they tried to tell me that it takes 10 business days to ship.... It has been longer than 10 business days. This place is straight garbage! They will get not one more penny from me!
I was making 2 orders to Spain recently. I ordered many things because of the high shipping and tax costs. We had 6 coupons that we used and it was a super offer. After we made the order, Children’s Place just cancelled some of the items, because the order was probably too cheap and without any info they just send it to Spain. Without our favourite things and most expensive ones in the order. The coupons are used, we don’t have them anymore.
Couple days later we made another order and we put to the basket same items but regular price without the extra coupons. The order was taking much more time this time. Finally they did the same thing. Best items from the order they just cancelled without any information and sent the package. I was writing to them 9 days in a row now - no response! Lack of professionalism, 0 contact, 0 responsibility. Horrible customer service! Phone contact - nothing! Always hanging up the phone and never ending story with too much customers in the line! The only thing is the children’s clothes are nice. Other than that, they just do what they want without any respect to the customer! 1 star is only for the clothes. If I could I would give 000 zerooo!
Gymboree was my favourite clothing store of all time and was SO excited to see it pop up associated with the Children's Place and... only tiny sizes and not the larger sizes Gymboree used to carry. It was such cool/hippy-ish styling and every time I look it's just those teeny tiny sizes and that's it.
Before Covid-19 of I received orders sooner than now but still have received all orders within a 2-3 weeks of ordering. I like all the things I have received. The prices are great. People have complained because they ordered for a newborn, plan on a month before your things arrive. If they come sooner great, if not you are not going to be bothered. It is a bummer when you order and receive a message unavailable but Macys and other stores do the same thing. It's frustrating that the website and warehouse are not in sync. I know some things are sitting in closed stores but can't be accessed. I have never been charged for shipping.
I ordered on 5/20 and an authorization was put on my card for the amount of my bill. Then upon shipping, they charged my account the price of the item as every item shipped separately plus shipping which was suppose to be free.
The order I placed was split in separate shipments. Even though shipments are taking longer due to Covid, the shipment had no updated tracking as if the package was never dropped at the carrier. It’s been a month still no package. The Customer service number says they have high call volume and then just disconnects, I have sent multiple unanswered emails. No way to connect with anyone for refund or Updated shipping, and no product has been received. Will have to go through my bank for a dispute. Children’s Place is failing its customers So beware.
I ordered over $200 worth of stuff and wanted to return 2 things. Their 45 day return policy toy stores is no help as the 45 days are almost over but of course my bill came on time. I tried contacting them dozens of times with no response. A few items I ordered had not yet come after a month and the baby almost grew out of that size, so I sent an email to cancel the rest of the order. That was of course ignored and today the rest of the shipment came. I have never dealt with a worse company. They do not have bad customer service -they have no customer service!!
I placed an online order with The Children’s Place. My order was for the amount of $63. They took the full amount with an additional amount of $63. Customer service told me to call back so they can put money back into my account, and I never received anything back. So they pretty much robbed me for money. Now I’m having a hard time talking with someone.
This company is absolutely awful! I placed an order and was immediately charged in full. My items never arrived and customer service refused to provide any updates and they refused to refund my money. It was over a month and I missed the opportunity to give the items as a gift. The company still refuses to issue a refund. Stay away from them, they are crooks!!
First off I’ve recently ordered 25 pcs from this place for my oldest daughter granddaughter and newborn and 14 items were canceled the next morning. Now my oldest daughter (4) father and I co-parent Soo if I need anything We worked it out together. I my daughter is getting bigger while our time is standing still I decided to order from these people.
I tried to reach out to them in regards to my canceled order on the 22 of May no response. Got an e-mail later that day saying my order will be delivered on the 22 no order. Tepid calling the recording hangs up on me so I email them no response, I’ve tried tracking it through UPS. It should up in Los Angeles at 1:30am of which that’s where I am still no package. They said it was out for delivery and the driver was in transit still no package. So after sending another email today I thought I would read the reviews and was horrified. Now I have to share this with my daughter's father cause now I’m concerned about his credit card being misused by these people that allegedly took from others.
I ordered 10 items a month ago (not joking). After waiting 3 weeks they canceled 4 items off my order. Sent 3 items in 2 different shipments and the last remaining items are God only knows where. According to their tracking they were supposed to be delivered last week, they never showed. Now tracking says they’re in Florida for the last 5 days (I live in N.C.), it once again says it will be here tomorrow. I honestly don’t think it’s ever coming. When you call, the call center is closed and emails go unanswered forever.
I ordered from The Children's Place on May 12th because they are having a 60-70% off storewide/online sale. I understand that shipping is taking longer than usual. Lord knows I have so many Amazon orders out there I am still waiting on. HOWEVER I most definitely am not pleased that they have taken multiple transactions out that I did not make. I guarantee they are doing this because they will file bankruptcy so they are stealing from all customers and do so by drawing you in with the sale. I ordered $143.43 of product and saved $201. Since May 12th I have had 11 transactions come out totaling $546.50. I have bought from the actual store multiple times so I had no reason to believe they would do this. I cancelled my card because I noticed this going on last night after my bank was closed and The Childrens Place customer service.
I had 2 alerts for $107.35 and another for $68.91, which total more than my original order. That's when I started looking through my bank statement online. After multiple attempts today on calling The Childrens Place, it finally went through and I got a hold of someone. What a joke that was. She went through the transactions they supposedly made and told me they only charge when they ship. "No Lady (her actual name) your company is committing fraud and overcharging customers." I can't believe how often they are doing this to people after reading the reviews now. I really do believe they are about to file bankruptcy.
Customer Service is blaming my bank and after talking to my bank they are saying it's the Children's Place. I filed a Dispute on all transactions made from this company since I have not received but 1 item so far. I had The Children's Place send me all transactions they supposedly made and we will see how long it will take to get all my money back now. They (TCP) did send me an email and said they attached the transaction but go figure, it was not attached. I have a feeling this is about to be a nightmare.
I have orders from Children’s Place but it’s been a month & I have not received my package yet I ordered for my son's birthday is in June. Ordered it in April. Never again I will order from them. I understand that we going through some Tough times that’s I ordered in two months in advance.
I placed an order on April 14th 2020. I understand there were to be delays because of the pandemic happening. I knew my shipment would be shipped in multiple shipments as it usually is when I order a lot. I contacted customer service after a few weeks to just confirm my order had not fallen through the cracks and it would all be delivered. No response. Finally a few days after that, some items get shipped. Slowly my items get shipped and delivered. I was waiting on a pair of grey shorts size 4T and although the package was addressed to me, the order was fulfilled with an invoice and item for someone in California for a baby 9-12 months.
I live in Illinois. I tried to call and call and call and as others state it is an automated message no matter what time of day you call. I immediately also emailed and sent picture proof with my proof of what I purchased. After 7 days and a second email I FINALLY got a response that someone will contact me soon, but it was an automated do not reply email. I also had 5 items cancelled YESTERDAY from my order after I have been waiting on these for over a month. I will Never purchase from this company again. As someone said, possibly they're going to file for bankruptcy or have already. They have officially lost my business.
I ordered from The Children’s Place in April. Ever since then, I have had MULTIPLE unauthorized DRAFTS taken from my account! I noticed that they were taking money and canceled the card and the money is still being taking OUT! I can’t believe that TCP is actually stealing money from people during this pandemic. My orders took almost a month to come, and overall I am disappointed with my current experience. I tried to call customer service and could not get in touch with anyone. However, I’m wondering why my account is still being drafted after I canceled my debit card!!!! This is stealing!
I am so disappointed in The Children’s Place. I am aware and okay with the some items being delayed due to the COVID-19, however I am not okay with my card being charged multiple times. My account has gone into negative and caused multiple overdraft fees. I have money in my savings and cash. I just did not expect my account to have multiple charges from them! After the money is taken out of my account the first time With an email confirmation, why am I still being charged!? I had to cancel my card and get a new debit card! I will never make an online purchase with them anymore.
On May 11, 2020, I ordered $263 worth of clothes from them. Over the next 3 days, my account was charged over $700 for the order. After several failed attempts to get Customer Service to even acknowledge me, I mass emailed their Executive team. About 6 hours after that, I was contacted. I was then informed that the issue was with my bank and that they were sorry that I was confused. They completely pushed blame to my bank (that actually responds without me having to harass C level executives), and also my confusion. You can't make this up.
I strongly advise anyone to stay clear away from these corporate demons. I have proof of my claims and records of their atrocious response. I've filed a complaint with the Attorney General in my state and strongly encourage others to do the same. They are the epitome of corporate greed. While the lockdown shuts down small businesses forever, we are stuck with soulless entities such as this predatory "business".
Order on April 15 2020 and only got part of my shipment. I contact customer service and no one is responding to anything. Tried and tried again and it’s always a automatic response or a robot and nothing gets resolved. I just want what I order or my money back.
I place the order in March 2020 and it not shipped until today. I send email all I get is auto message. I call but also I got auto answer. I want my item or refund. It is international shipment. Wish for help with this problem.
We ordered items from Children's Place. That part of the order was sent and delivered to the wrong address. We contacted Children's Place but they will not do anything in regards to the items even though we did not receive them. They suggested contacting the post office but problem is part of the order had already been delivered to someone that is not us and part of it doesn't have tracking as it hasn't been sent. I even requested to speak to a supervisor and still was told nothing could be done. So we ordered goods that we did not receive and under Children's Place policy it seems that is an acceptable practice.
On April 22, 2020, I placed an online order for clothing and redeemed cash rewards. It took over an hour to place the order as I was ordering a large amount of clothing due to the rewards I had accumulated. Ten minutes after placing order I received notification the order was cancelled even though I had not cancelled it. My credit card was not charged. They are not answering phone calls, and not responding to my complaint via the case number I received back from an auto-reply. I have shopped with them for a long time for my grandchildren and spend a lot over the course of the year. This leads me to believe they are filing for bankruptcy as I would expect extra care and focus for online orders during the COVID crisis. I will be cancelling my credit card with them and going elsewhere as my time is valuable too, and I do expect a mistake to be addressed timely.
I bought 7 items from this website and two of these shirts were included in that order. I ordered this for me and my son April 16 however I only got two of my 7 items delivered. I have been robbed by This Company and am going public. A week later after my order went through another purchase came on my card for $17.99 then two days later $19.06. Someone is using my card information. I only got 2 Items of 7 Delivered to me. As matter of fact it doesn't even show me my complete order any more. Children's Place is Scamming People. Stay Far Away. My original order was only a total of 43.00. Why a week later all these extra charges? I have proof and I want my product or my money back. I dont know why you keep charging. My credit card. This will be public....
On April 24th 2020 I was alerted that 2 charges in the amounts of 56.62 and 36.72 had posted to my HR Block Emerald Card from The Children's Place. These charges were not authorized by me and no permission was given for The Children's Place to charge my card for these additional amounts. In April 13th 2020, I placed 2 orders on The Children's Place website in the amounts of 83.36 and 36.72 which were processed and paid in full. I have bank records to confirm these transactions were paid in full. No additional charges were made or authorized by me. I have attempted to contact HR Block Emerald Card Fraud Department and after contacting them numerous times during business hours have not been able to reach anyone to report this. There is only a recording that no representative is available to speak with at this time. I am also getting the same message when attempting to contact Children's Place and report fraudulent activity.
I placed an order on 4/13 and was charged $67.98 the total of my order. 4 of my 20 items My items did not ship until a week later but on 4/19 I was charged twice for $14.34 and $39.64 then 2 days later my other items shipped and on 4/22 I was charged $53.64. No one is in customer service. Multiple people on all social media outlets have complained. I’ve been calling since 04/20. Before the 4th transaction I emailed. I get no response in ANY communication outlet. I have still yet to hear from them and I’m afraid they may try to charge my card again.
Let me tell you why The Children's Place sucks. Every time my daughter and I place an order, it gets canceled. We can use PayPal, credit card, whatever. It gets canceled. They won't reset the place cash rewards that are earned even though they canceled the order. It's "already been used." She emails them, and they refuse to reset. They've stolen, SCAMMED us out of over 100.00 in rewards because of this. It's been happening for over a year. Every time we decide to give them another try, THEY CANCEL THE ORDER AND STEAL THE CASH. DON'T BOTHER WITH THESE SHAMS. YOUR PLACE CASH IS WORTHLESS!!!
I recently placed an order from Children's Place, and when I received the order conformation on email, I realized that I had been charged excessive tax. I live in a rural area in Oklahoma, and I realized I had been charged city tax. I called them the next working day, and I was advised that the tax would be changed to the correct amount. When I got my order, I saw that the amount had not been changed. When I called them, I just got the arrogant answer that that tax rate (10%) was in their "system", and couldn't be changed.
I called the Oklahoma Tax Commission about the matter, and I was advised that Children's Place did not have authority to collect city taxes from me, and that Children's Place had an easy system that any employee could understand, but that they needed to get the correct "system." They are just lazy and do not want to put out the effort to get it right. So they arrogantly continue to illegally collect taxes from customers. Other companies such as Amazon and Overstock can get it right, Children's Place can't. I have no complaint with their products, just their sad, inadequate management. It's just $4.32, but it's my $4.32.
After placing a pretty large order I decided to check out the reviews and I was immediately scared because most of them are negative. Thankfully my experience was very different. First of all, the sale was incredible!! I ordered 32 pieces of clothing for around $105 plus free shipping! One order was placed on 3/26 and the other was placed on 3/27, they put both orders in the same box and it arrived on 4/1. The clothes came neatly packaged. My only complaint is that some of the clothes appear to run a little small. I'll definitely be ordering from this company again, my kids love their new clothes.
I regret adding a credit inquiry to my credit report. I submitted two orders with 5 days in between, my orders are big $300 + and after getting the confirmation, I get a cancellation. Waste of my time, waste of adding an inquiry, I will be disputing the non-sense inquiry added to my report, why have it if I can get my orders? I also cancelled the card, I opened the card 5 days ago. Don't waste your time, read reviews, is retarded to order from this company. Moving on to Carter's!!!!
I have been ordering from Children's place for several years now for my children. I contacted customer service regarding an item that I did not receive they stated it was delivered and we would have to contact our Bank or USPS. If a customer orders from your website you should always go above and beyond to rectify the situation. It should never be the customers fault to fix a problem regarding delivery. I am no longer shopping with Children's place. Integrity is a very valuable asset. Hopefully you change this so that you can retain customers.
Be careful with this company and with PayPal they are a bunch of thiefs, I made a return in Centennial Las Vegas store on 02/01/20202 from an online order. They never refunded the money to my account! I messaged Children's Place 2/10/2020 and after asking what could I do since I missed place the receipt Paula **. didn’t bother replying, I talked to different ppl one of them told me to call this store so they could help me get a copy of receipt and the manager here didn’t bother calling me back.
I contacted paypal and after a few days they closed the case (on their favor) before the 10 days they give was up. I found the receipt PayPal said they issued a refund to my card (never did) after the case was completely closed PayPal took money I had and left a negative balance in their account. Cause they closed the case once again in childrensplace favor.If you are like me that buys from this company (over 10+yrs not giving them problems) all the time save every receipt you get for a few days, and double check your account within 3-5 business days if you made the mistake of paying with PayPal, if you can don’t pay with PayPal so you can your money back instore.
It’s been more than a month and I still have to call PayPal so they can fix the problem and give me all the money they took.
I have more pictures but I can’t upload most due to the information it contains that I can cover or removed, but you can see there when the purchase was made and that I never received refund like they said, PayPal wants me to wait another 20 days to help me solve the problem.
I placed an order 3 months ago. It was delivered to the wrong house. I went in to the store and bought the items because I needed them by that weekend. I called their corporate office and told them the items were shipped to the wrong house. They said I had to wait 3 weeks while they "Investigated" the dispute. Nobody once has called me back or emailed me. I have called them probably 20 times and every time they tell me to call back next week. I am working with Comenity bank who has helped more than they have but the charges still have not been removed. Never in my life have I dealt with such a terrible company. I just want to cancel my card with them and never shop there again but I refuse to be stuck paying for something I didn't receive. Every time I reach out to them it takes an hour of my time and I get nowhere. Just don't shop here.
Bought a pair of slippers for my daughter which did not fit her properly. Went to the store to return it (had return receipt with me) within two weeks and they refused to accept. Reason they gave was that I was missing the price tag on the slippers. The store manager said she cannot pull up the details using just the receipt. Called their customer care and they were of no help either. In fact initially they gave the same reason of not having price tag and just having return receipt is not sufficient and at a later point during the discussion, they gave a different reason altogether saying how do they know if the pair of slipper is new or used. Such pathetic are these people that they were giving nonsense reasons to not accept the return (Of course my daughter did not even wore the slippers for a day and they were brand new). They also refuse to exchange it for a bigger size. Never going to shop again here and gonna close my account with them.
After selecting items and having the cashier total my items at the cash register, the register system froze once it processed my debit card transaction. The money clearly showed it left my account when I logged into my bank account and even after a month the amount is still taken out. I asked for a refund and the store told me they couldn’t issue a refund because there wasn’t a receipt or anything showing in their system that a transaction was processed. BUT the money is taken out of my BANK account!!! The Children’s Place is stealing money from hard working citizens and they should be reported. An investigation needs to placed on this scamming company. News outlets need to investigate. I want my money credited back to my bank account for items I Was charged for and was not allowed to take with me!!!!
I tracked my package and it stated it had been delivered by USPS, but I never received it. I then called customer service and the rep and a supervisor told me that nothing could be done on their part cause the tracking stated delivered and therefore for me to contact USPS. I am very disappointed that after being a loyal customer for many years they couldn't replace my package. They basically don't care because they got my money and I have no package. I will never order from them again, so please everyone beware!
I ordered couple of jeans for my son but never received the package. The UPS service that The Children's Place use, telling me that it was delivered, while I never received the package. Dead end from that side. I called Children's Place and they wouldn't do anything besides referring me back to UPS. I get a runaround. Poor customer service.
I usually shop online for my children’s clothes. I’ve never had any bad experiences and deliveries were great. However on 1/8/2020, I needed to get a few things from the Forest Hills store in Queens, and the cashier was very rude. I do not understand how an employee of the store can talk openly like that. She spoke about her personal issues with another employee. She was rude to my daughter. I think someone like her need to be trained again and have better manners. She is a reflection of the company. Personal problems and issues should be addressed in the break room and not on the sales floor. I am here to shop not to listen to your problems.
As many of the reviews have already expressed, online ordering is quite the pain. In my case, it was no different. I placed an order on 12/17. Based on an email I received, orders placed prior to 12/18 at 5PM would qualify for guaranteed Christmas delivery. On 12/20 I received confirmation that my order had shipped. I checked the tracking as instructed and it showed a delivery date of 12/23. 12/23 came and went and my order was nowhere to be found. I checked tracking again and the delivery date had been updated to 12/24. 12/24 came and went and tracking showed "on its way" as the delivery date.
On 12/27 my order still had not arrived and I contacted customer service online. I went back and forth with them all day, with the same rep responding to my messages and telling me that since I placed my order on 12/17, it did not qualify for guaranteed Christmas delivery. That this offer was only for orders placed on 12/18 by 5pm, not orders placed by 12/18 at 5PM, despite the email I sent a screen shot of showing orders placed "by" 12/18 and not "on" 12/18.
The whole time I continued to check tracking and it continued to show "on its way". On 12/28 I called customer service and they don't me I would have to wait until 12/30, then call back if my order wasn't received and they would put in a search for the package. They also told me the same line about guaranteed Christmas delivery applying only to orders placed on 12/18 and that since I placed mine on 12/17, it didn't qualify. I repeatedly told them this was not acceptable since the email I showed stated otherwise. An hour later I was finally on with a supervisor.
It took the supervisor another half hour to issue the refund. Though they couldn't offer me an explanation as to why I was told by multiple reps that the Christmas delivery guarantee only applied to orders placed on 12/18. I told the supervisor that I didn't believe my order ever actually shipped out. I'm further convinced of this by the fact that they didn't say what I should do with the order, should it happen to arrive. I sent repeated feedback emails regarding my experience and never received one response. It's clear that they don't value their customers. Because of this, that will be the last time I shop with them. The store locations are no better. They are cluttered and jammed with merchandise. Checkout takes forever, even if you are the only customer in line.
I placed an order on 12/30/19, my package still had not been delivered as of 1/7/20. I called customer service and a very rude lady that I could barely understand said my package was returned to sender because I moved without a forwarding address. The only problem with that is I have not moved. I understand this is not something they did, but when I asked if I could reorder what I ordered and get the same discounts and use the same rewards I used on the original ordered she said "that's not how that works" with a very condescending tone. I have spent over $350 on clothes and was using my rewards from the money I spent on this order. She said all they can do is give me a refund in 14 to 28 business days, and ALL my reward points are used up and gone.
I placed an order on December 23rd 2019 and they cancelled my order. I called in to customer care on the 24th and I couldn’t get an answer as to why my order was canceled. A nice young lady by the name of Samantha opened a case for me and told me I would get a response in 48 hours with a follow up. Fast forward to Thursday 12/26 and I have still not gotten a follow up. Now I’m mad. I called back and was informed my a manager that a new case would be submitted and I would hear from someone with 2 days. (Assuming it’s business days) I still did not get a follow up on Monday December 30th. Frustrated, I called back and spoke to another manager who said by Tuesday I would get a response. Tuesday which is New Year’s Eve, I called back but their offices were closed. I ended up calling back on Thursday January 2nd. Spoke to another manager who’s now telling me 2 more days.
At this point I lost it. Waiting for over a week to place an order? Unheard of. I called their corporate office and made a complaint with BBB. Finally Friday 01/03 I got approval that I could place a new order. Their email didn’t outline why I couldn’t place an order just that it was not sufficient for processing and placement. BBB came through for me because I got an email stating I was block from placing orders because of a chargeback first July 2019 for $19. Apparently back in July when my order was placed the shipping address was incorrect. I called to modify the address and was unable to do so. Their Customer Service Rep advised me to call my bank and see if they could help which was what I did. I’m not understanding if I called in and they tell me what I’ll need to do and I did it then why am I being penalized? It was just a back experience overall and I hope no one has to go through this again. Ever!
First of all I love Children's Place plus I have 6 grandkids that enjoy wearing their clothes but my problem is I did all this shopping before the holidays and was able to catch all the deals and then I get the cash bucks to use after Christmas. Well everything is now marked 2-3x the price. I have 17 coupons meaning I have to spend $20 to get $10 off. I just spent $250 for presents. It's not fair and you have to use it in 10 days. Yes it's helpful but really I need to pay my bill off not buy full price.
I placed two orders online at the Childrensplace.com on December 27, 2019. The items were available when I placed them on December 27, 2019. I receive emails of order and shipping information once it was sent. I track my orders to see the status of them. The items were suppose be delivered on January 4, 2020. I was told both packages were delivered, I have received only partial items from each orders. When I called customer service I got the worst experience with both the representative and the manager Matiicka. Neither one of them were able to help me, answer my question or track the rest of my order. I was told I had to just wait for when It show up at my house. I will never order online with them or shop at the store. I suggest customer if you going buy items to go to store. Online shopping with Children Place your items gets lost and they steal your money.
I have a Children's Place Gift card, but I wasn't able to check the balance on the card. I followed the instructions on the back of the card by going to childrensplace.com/giftcardbalance, it just didn't respond. Then I called the phone number provided on the card, the customer representative told me that for security reason, he couldn't check the balance for me on the phone and I have to go to the store to check the balance. Terrible online system and customer service.
I always loved to shop in Children's Place however had a bad experience in this case. I had returned a couple of online order items and in store purchases in the store and got back a return receipt. I paid for the online order through Paypal and in store purchase by credit card. However I have not received my return for more than 2 months now. I have been calling the customer care for more than 9 times in these 2 months however every time I call them, they answer that it will be done in the next 48-72 hours. Escalated to managers too and they are not able to resolve it. I have not received my refund yet.
I have always liked to shop at The Children's place at Fallen Timbers, but this was a horrible experience. I had a few returns, that I ordered online. I had my receipts and I was purchasing other items. I just wanted to do an instore credit but the manager said it couldn't happen because it was past 45 days. I understand that but they had tons of the exact Jeans in stock. She said I could switch them for another size, but couldn't give me instore credit. I honestly feel like she was just power tripping. This made no sense to me! So needless to say I put all my items back and won't buy anything else from that store!! I see why they are always dead every time I am in there anymore!
December 2nd I placed a order for $56.00 and all went well. On December 11th I placed a larger order on-line, for clothing gifts for my granddaughters. I submitted the order and received a text message it was received. Today, December 23rd, I followed up to see why the order was still showing Pending on my PayPal. I contacted them and was told there was no order under my name because some of the items were sold out. Makes sense BUT why did they not continue and send me the items that were in stock. When I placed the order, the items were available. Today I find myself traveling to get missing clothes for their gifts. I am disabled and should not be out in holiday rush. Shoddy customer service/follow-up on The Children's Place part. Not sure I will order from them next Christmas as they are the only company I placed orders from that has not delivered.
I order two Christmas Dresses December 14th with the expected shipping date to be Dec 19th which was perfect. It was my daughter Christmas performance. It said delivered but I never received this item. Went online and was told to wait 3 days before calling them to see if my items show up. They did not. I called and they said they will launch an investigation and it will take 7-14 days. So now my daughters are out on Christmas dresses.
I was told, "Sorry you can't use your My Place cash," even though dates specified that it can be used November 11-December 25, 2019. Was told by a supervisor that there is nothing they can do I'll give you$10.00. I have $40.00 in my place cash that can be use towards my purchase how is that helping me. Warning never order from Children's Place.
I placed an order on 12/11/19 and haven’t receive it as of 12/19/19. I called customer service on yesterday 12/18/19 and was told that my order was in transit to the store and I should be able to pick it up on 12/19/19. Called customer service again today cause order didn’t make it to the store and was told the order was lost and that the only thing they could do for me is refund my money. I asked for a gift card instead so that I could go to the store and spend the money and I was told they couldn’t do it that way.. Christmas is next week and now all the sale priced items I ordered are full price again. I refuse to pay full price for something I already paid for and was lost. The customer service sucks. Hopefully I can find another store to purchase items at because I just lost 6 gifts that I now need to replace.
I placed an order on 12/9/19 and did receive it as of 12/18/19. There is no communication about my order and I called customer service and they basically told me to wait another 5 business days before calling back. This is why they will eventually go out of business because the service stinks both in store and out. This is also why everyone is now shopping on Amazon for everything. I should've followed my mind and order from Amazon instead. When I do receive this order (Hopefully by 2020) I am returning everything to the store and that's it with Children's place, no longer interested.
I went to Children's Place a few hours ago to return some items and exchange others. Asked the sales girl who was standing right beside me if I could take the shoes out of the bag and compare them to another pair in a different size. AGAIN, she was standing right beside me and said it was ok. Put the shoes back in the bag I had already purchased and continued looking at other shoes. When I turned around, she was staring at me as though I stole something and immediately turned away. I went to look at other items and she told a male employee to watch me. HOW EMBARRASSING! When I finished returning/exchanging my items, I told her she made me very uncomfortable and embarrassed to which she replied "huh". I let her know I heard her tell the male employee to watch me. She immediately dissed me and started helping another customer.
This was only my second time in this store as I was shopping for clothes for my niece and nephew. I was so hurt by this treatment, I couldn't wait to leave the store as I was trying to hold back the tears. The good mood I had about giving me niece and nephew clothes for Christmas was replaced with a dreadful feeling of embarrassment. I wish I had saw all the online reviews before going there. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT CHILDREN'S PLACE AGAIN.
I will never shop at the Children’s Place ever again. I had the worst experience with the customer service today. I had my son outfit for Santa picture mail to my house two weeks ago and just found out that they took the outfit back and charge me for the outfit on my credit card. For customer that shop online please be advise the worst customer service ever.
I ordered 5 clothing items for my grandsons. 3 items arrived and the other two never did. I spent over an hour on hold waiting for customer service on 4 different days before giving up. On the 5th day I called right at the time they would open and after 1/2 hour I talked with a customer service representative who told me they were sent. I told him they never arrived and he said I would have to contact USPS! I just wanted the rest of the clothing I ordered! Awful customer service and I had purchased many baby gifts from them in the past, but will never purchase anything there again!
Ordered 5 items and only received 3. Took more than 30 minutes to speak to a representative and he was only willing to transfer points to my account that equaled the value instead of giving me a refund for items I purchased and did not receive. I won't make the mistake of ordering from here ever again.
Allow me to preface this by saying I ONLY gave 1 star because I had to give SOMETHING. Ordered a dress for Christmas on 12/4/19. Received order confirmation ASAP (quick to take my money) and then a shipping confirmation over the weekend of 12/7/19. Dress was supposed to be delivered on 12/10/19. When I went to check the status on my delivery, come to find out, that email was DELETED from the company! The only email I have is the one that says basically, Thanks for your money, dummy, but the order still is being processed. Online communication is like talking to a shoe - you get NOWHERE. I charged it with my TCP credit card and called them, same response. Nothing. Don't waste your time, energy, money or sanity dealing with the sham of a company. People need to be made aware that they are scamming people out of money.
I tried to place an order using a coupon code but the code did not work at the time and of course customer service was closed so I placed my order and called the next day figuring they would refund the $10 coupon amount as any reputable company would. After waiting 40 minutes on hold I was told by a representative and the representative’s supervisor that I must not of entered the code because the code works. They basically called me a liar. They refused to refund $10 to my credit card.
Do NOT ever get a card with this company!!!! Not only is trying to pay your bill online as difficult as paying student loans through the government online but their bills come so late you're already past due and they charge you another $39 for that!!! Hence the reason I tried forever in a day to pay these guys online...which obviously didn't go so well either. Absolutely no for these guys....if you need to make more money The Childrens Place don't do it by screwing over your customers!!!
Today 11/27 I went to the store to pick up an order I did online, when I got to the store it was completely empty, I went to the register and greeted the associate by asking how she was doing and her answer was: what do you need? Excuse me?? What way is that to reply to a customer? I tried not to give too much importance and I told her I was there to pick up an order, she started looking and writing and it took her over 20 minutes to come back, by the time she came back there was over 7 people in line waiting, another associate came the lady that was helping me started talking to her, never make eye contact with me, and went back to the back room, I was so upset, it was just horrible. I get that today is the day before thanksgiving and been at work might not be fun, but they need to understand that they don't do the job for free, they get pay for it and it's also not my fault and anybody's fault that they have to be there.
I placed an order on 11/22. Order went through and later that afternoon got a email that it is canceled!!! No call nothing! I called, waited in hold 45min, told me was because the shipping address and billing were different! Well no s*I! I'm sending to my grandkids out of state!!! I had to call the bank for what to verify my billing. This is ridiculous!
I ordered three items. My account had an old shipping address so I made sure to change the address before ordering. Well it was shipped to the old address anyways. I received the first item but the other two never arrived. I called and they wanted me to lie to my financial institution and tell them I needed to dispute the charges. I am sorry, but I am not going to LIE and say I did not authorize those charges when I did. Then they tell me I need to call USPS because they lost the package. If it was sent to the correct address in the first place it never would have gotten lost. I asked to speak to a supervisor which I finally did after holding forever. She was so rude and said there was nothing she could do because the item already shipped.
I asked to speak to her manager and she said there was nobody else I could talk to, which is totally not true. I have worked in customer service and there is ALWAYS someone else you can talk to. I will NEVER buy clothes for my kids from here again. They are thieves who want you to lie and commit fraud to get your money back when they are the ones that messed up by shipping the order to the wrong address. Horrible, horrible customer service!
I placed a $300 order on 11/7, it was cancelled on 11/8 without any call or reasoning outside of an email. When I called Customer Care, they told me Loss Prevention cancelled my order because the shipping and billing address were different. They told me they cannot place an equal order for me and that I would have to go back online and replace the order then call back in for pricing adjustments. I escalated again for another supervisor who proceeded to tell me I needed to call my bank with me to verify me. I'm currently on a 45 minute call with them and the bank.. Well this was a waste of time. They wanted to verify my billing address with BOA for NO REASON, I still have to go online and do the order again at different pricing. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!
This morning I listened, in total horror, to my poor mother spending 2 hours on the phone with the Children's Place 'customer service' and 'manager'! There was some sort of 'glitch' in The Children's Place software that somehow managed to cancel my mother's order but still charged her credit card for it. Her goal is trying to get the correct size clothes for her grandson, in time for his birthday. Between getting the run-a-round and being on hold, she was on the phone for 2 hours!! Not only was she told that NO ONE there could help her, but also that it could take anywhere from 2-7 business days to be contacted by someone who could...UNACCEPTABLE!! My mother has been loyally shopping and donating with children's place for close to 15 yrs, shame on them!! And, they make it completely impossible to write reviews or contact anyone, absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!
Talking with customer service I've come to realize that I was not charged late fee and I was overcharged for a late fee I did not know but got a statement one month after stating I did not.. Payment was sent October 17th but they don't take payment through PayPal. I think that this should be changed with a company policy and I really don't like my Children's Place at all.
I placed an order with Children's Place on the 17th of October, I cancelled it within 30 mins. The authorization hold is still sitting on my account almost a month later and neither PayPal or TCP is willing to assist me. I've called countless times to have this taken care of and all I have encountered is agent after agent who could care less. Supervisors who hang up in your face and I've been promised a callback FOUR different times but to no avail. I contacted them again today and asked for the number to the Corp Office and the rude rep on the phone gives me a number to their front end customer service. I have never felt so disrespected than I have with this long drawn out fiasco and I see that absolutely nobody at that place cares a bit. Do not shop with this company. The service sucks.
I placed an online order. I received an email stating the order has shipped and a date range of when it would be delivered to the store. I had not received any pick up notification but went to the store on the last date it should have been delivered by. A Children’s Place employee absolutely refused to look for my order without a pick up email from them despite me asking multiple times.
A few days later I get an email stating that my order was cancelled because I didn’t pick it up on time. I immediately called customer service to explain the events that had happened and to ask that they just hold my order for a couple hours so I could come get it. They told me there was nothing to do, my order is cancelled. I thought it was surely a misunderstanding and emailed customer service. I then received a generic response that simply stared “we are sorry about the inconvenience” with zero effort to try and fix anything. I responded to let them know how disappointed I was with their response and asked to be removed from their email and text notifications as I won’t shop there again.
This is beyond belief!!! If you have The Children’s Place credit card, beware of the interest charges on late payments. I purchased uniform pieces for $38.90. The following month I received an errant late payment charge along with our bill for the $38.90. We paid the $38.90, and the late fee was canceled. One month later, today, I received another bill for the same items, only this time for $41.90. When I called, I was told that there was a two dollar charge to cancel the late fee, so I now owe the entire amount again plus the two dollars. Does any of this make any sense to you? It sure doesn’t to me. I have cancelled my card and will NEVER do business with The Children’s Place again.
I purchased a winter coat on 10/4/19. I was charged the full amount on 10/7/19. The item was shipped, and I received it (albeit after 14 days). Transaction complete.. or so I thought. Today, 11/01/19 I found a second charge for the same amount. I went to my bank, they said to call PayPal. Called PayPal. They said they could see that The Children’s Place did indeed send in a request for payment, and they could also see the previous order from October. They were stumped. Had me call The Children’s Place. Spoke to the rudest woman I have ever talked to in my life.
I explained that they had charged me twice for the same amount. That it was their fault. That the amount had been removed from my account twice. She insisted that I was mistaken. That didn’t happen. That it was just a place holder, and the money wasn’t really removed. But because I had already spoken to the bank, and they verified that wasn’t the case, and that the money was fully removed from my account twice, I knew that I wasn’t mistaken. I explained again that I had spoken to my bank, and that I needed the money refunded or I was filing a claim, which involves the police. She told me to go ahead. So that is what I did. I am disputing the charge. Went and signed papers at the bank for them to investigate. The police will be involved if the company is found at fault and don’t return the money. It would be considered a theft. Do NOT shop here. The clothes are okay, but not worth the customer service drama at all. It is below a zero.
I have been a customer for many years spending hundreds of dollars a year between my myplace credit card and in store! I made a online order that says it was delivered but I never received it. I called the company. They redirected me to the card service. Long story short neither one did anything for me so I’m out a couple hundred dollars as well as my daughter's school clothes!! I will be paying off my card and never doing business with this company again!!! Horrible all around!!!
Drowning in emails. I have called multiple times. I emailed many times. All to unsubscribe from the emails which I get multiples on a daily basis. They keep on promising me to take me off the list but I’m still getting multiple emails a day. I haven’t bought their products in years nor used any of their services. It’s ridiculous and I think they’re just continuing to keep me on their list to piss me off.
This company does NOT care in the least about resolving customer issues! The last THREE orders I have placed online have been cancelled by them. They send me an email confirmation, take the money from my account, then send me an email that they cancelled my order and won’t give a reason why. I called customer service and they had the NERVE to tell me my address didn’t match what the bank has on file for my credit card! I made her get on a 3-way conversation with my bank who verified my address AND that they took the money from my account. Now they claim they need to ‘verify more information’ but won’t tell me what information they need to verify. In the meantime, they took my money and won’t fulfill my order. There is not one person there who actually cares about the customer. They refuse to resolve my issue and I have contacted the BBB.
I bought this item for my son's birthday and my entire had family shirts to match that said the birthday dude’s mom, the birthday dude’s dad, the birthday dude’s brother, the birthday dude’s sister. And when I got my son's birthday shirt it was not this one that I ordered. I called to try to get the correct shirt before his birthday to be told it was a mistake but now they have no shirts left in any size and that I can just return it at my local store. Get NOTHING in return for my son's birthday shirt!! So now I paid for a shirt that I can do nothing with and still have to find my son a shirt in 6 days for his birthday to match my entire family. I will never order from Children’s Place again and will tell everyone I know who has kids. Poor customer service with no solution to a problem they caused.
I always pay my bill 15 days before the due date. For these last few months every time I pay my bill they don’t credit it to my account and add a late fee. When I call them they cannot explain why this is happening. They are crooks even the workers in the store. I always make my payment in person at the Children's Place store. One day I was in a rush I gave the cashier $40 for a payment. A week later I noticed the she put I made a payment of $35 she gave me back $5 which is a lie. I won’t never shop with this store never again. Be aware they are thieves and liars.
Placed an order & the package was showed as delivered but was not delivered. Called customer service & spoke with a "Kevin." Was treated rudely and did not want to offer to help. The call conveniently cut off. Now I have no product and no refund. I will not buy anything from this company and do not recommend anyone else deal with this company.
I have been a loyal customer to your store for 5 yrs. I purchase all of my sons clothing from there. I was finally able to get a credit card there and it helped me out tremendously because I am a single parent. I have never maxed my card out, I have always paid on time, and I even paid my balance in full a few times. Recently I started working on repairing my credit and my score has been fluctuating because of this. One of my initiatives is to pay off my credit cards so I chose to pay off children's place first because it had the smallest balance. Then to my surprise my account has been closed and when I reached out to them to find out why they said it was because of changes in my credit report. I am highly upset and offended that my account was closed because I am trying to clean my credit up to purchase a home and I feel like my credibility means nothing to Comenity bank. Also because they closed my account it made my credit score drop 31 points.
I placed an order a few weeks ago. When I look up the tracking number it says the package is on its way. The city its coming from is an hour and a half from my home. I have called Children's Place customer service a couple of times, not a rep or a Supervisor helped. Neither even apologized for the inconvenience it has caused. I have reached out to USPS and they say call CP. I reach out to CP. They say call USPS. I have emailed their customer services that I still have not received my package and nobody has answered that in two weeks! They are charging me finance charges on products that I have not received. That is AGAINST THE LAW! I have reached out and nobody has helped me. It's messed up.
I purchased the wrong item online because the items were not in store just yet. After using my Place Cash I need to exchange (I didn’t want my money back, I just wanted to exchange) I called the online customer service and spoke to 3 different managers. I explain to them what I wanted to do. What online support proceeded to inform me that if I wanted to exchange I would have to do so in the store, however I tried to explain to them the items were not In store. I asked them could they charge me for the new adult pajamas at the same price that I purchased the others and they said NO!! I really couldn’t believe this. A big company like this and there is no interest in pleasing a customer. As frustrated as I am with this company I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. I sure wish there was a way to get this complaint higher so they can see how they treat customers.
It a shame that they would double their prices during the time to spend the cash rewards. My daughter got a pair of jogging pants, sweater to match, a shirt and a pajamas set for $130 00 but I had $60 in my cash rewards so I paid $68. I couldn't wait for it to be over because I knew the prices would go back down. And they sure did but they saying the clothes are 40% off to get the prices back where they was before the my cash Awards special. So I added the price the clothes were today and it came to exactly $60.00. The price I paid in cash. Shame on the Children's Place for raising the price on their loyal shoppers. I was so upset. I wont ever shop there again.
So I have have $50 PLACE Cash, the items are in my cart already because I am waiting for the start date so that I can utilize my Place Cash. That day comes and they literally double the price of all the items in my cart. If they are raising prices during the time frame of using the Place cash then what is the point? It is a rip off! There is basically no discount! Will never shop here again! Sounds like a bunch of crooks!
I have been purchasing from Children's Place for many years now and today I had the worst experience. Or I'm not even sure what happened but I have used my same account for many years now also. I'm not sure if this is an issue with Children's Place over all or just the store I went to at Town Center Mall in Kennesaw Ga. I had received 8 of those place cash weeks ago and remembered it was time to use them before the deadline. So I went to the store today to get around 160.00 or MORE worth of clothes thinking 80 dollars would be deducted due to the place cash I had and me only paying around 80. I was okay with me paying more of coarse if I went way over knowing I was still going to get 80 dollars off regardless.
So when it was time to pay the place cash that I had in hand had supposedly been used already and I showed her the digital place cash I had also and said they had been used too. Obviously I had not used them since when I received them and as far as I know when you use them they keep them not give them back. Anyway I was only able to use 4 and obviously I did not want to put stuff back. My total came out to be $170 and at this point I was still okay with that thinking either way as they advertise every $1 spent is 2 points and every 100 points is $5 so I get home and log in my account and it literally says I have ZERO points after just spending &170 there meaning I should have around 340 points which would be $15 worth of their points. I'm very dissappointed in everything and at this point don't know if to shop there again and having to go through this whole experience again.
I'm very disappointing with Children’s Place. I ordered some clothes for my son and they shipped it to my old address. I changed my old address long time ago and when I ordered my items I checked my address shipping for make sure it was correct. I called customer me services and they told me to pick up my order at my old address. I will never buy in Children’s Place anymore!
I order my daughter school uniform on 8/10 and I received her package on 8/22. Thank God it arrived before school started. I paid the 137 before I read the reviews. So after I was soo nervous. I was starting to think that it's gonna be an issue with my order. Thank God everything work out.
Horrible customer service. I waited on the phone for 38 minutes and I spoke to a person who spoke very very little English and I explained to her the situation and she just kept repeating herself. I am cancelling my store credit card and filing a complaint with the attorney general regarding my money. I placed 2 separate uniform orders on the same at and still have not received them. I have called and emailed this company multiple times and only keep getting a automated email response. Someone needs to take a stand against scamming companies like this. Thank you, Andrea
OK, so I never had a problem in the past with the childrens place, there must be a big issue with them as a lot of people complaining. And mine might sound stupid because who complains about not paying, right? So I ordered back to school during Texas tax free weekend on 08/11/2019 and it states a ttl w/out tax cause they honored the no tax during check out.
I never got an email of it shipped so I emailed them on their website on 8/21/19. 3 they send me back a ship confirmation with the charge amount now charging me Tax. (And I wasn't even gonna complain about the darn tax.) I was just happy it shipped. But then come to find out they never charged my credit card? This may sound like a blessing however I read somewhere that a store can take months if they want to charge. (It's been a month now.) And I can't get anywhere with phone calls? This is annoying... Next time I'll just go into the store and purchase if I need anything.
I am truly disappointed with the children's place For I have confidently placed an order online (order number **) Only for my order to get canceled. And then when I called customer service. Customer service tells me that my order didn't meet the company's criteria and they have to contact my bank and verify my address information so therefore I provided the customer service rep my bank number. The children place customer service rep kept me on the phone for about an hour and 10 minutes to complete their verification process. Only for customer service rep to tell me that my order still remains canceled. And that the required company procedures was only for verification purposes for future purchases.
I am truly upset with this company titius form of operation. You guys wasted an hour and 10 minutes of my time with no resolution whatsoever. The rep only offered me $15 in reward points. I can't believe you guys cancelled my order and when I complied by allowing my bank to share my personal information for your verification purposes only to maintain my order cancelled due to your company rules why disappoint me multiple times. One by cancelling my order and two by not refunding me and three by wasting an hour of my time. How dare you put me through such distress.
From the 10th of August I made an online order and up until this day I haven’t seen my package. I called and report it and no one get back to me about my stuff. It said delivered but nothing came to my address. Children’s Place customer service is so poor. School starts next week and I can’t get the school bags that I order. It’s not my fault if UPS delivered my stuff to wrong address. You guys need to communicate with UPS about my package cause this makes no sense.
Ordered school uniforms from children’s place on Aug14th. They charged my card the same day. I have yet to receive my order. It's been saying processing for forever online and they have charged my card twice. Today is Aug28th still haven’t received my order. Customer service is horrible. They never answer or respond to an email. I will never order/ purchase from them again. Save yourself the headache. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM!! They are full of **!
I ordered school uniforms for my child with express shipping which was $15. Days after the express shipping time period when my order have not yet arrived I call customer service and waited over 40 mins to talk with someone. They apologize and was going to give me a refund for my express shipping and said it will be shipping in 48 hr, that time passed and still no confirmation shipping email. So I decided to call again and wait over 40 mins again for them to tell me I’ll receive a shipping confirmation that night with next day delivery!
They gave me false information twice and did not acknowledge it when I called them about my case. They told me it’s going to take 7 to 10 business days for my order to ship! Why do I have to wait a month just to get what I order when I wanted it in less than 5 days?! I end up canceling my order cause my child has already started school without the uniforms we ordered and they told me it’ll take 48 hrs to cancel the order and 7 to 10 business days to get a refund. They have bad customer service and don’t care for the fact I didn’t receive my order in time. Worst online order experience ever!
OMG please don't order anything online ever!I been ordering from The Children's Place for years for pretty much all of my daughter's clothes but after what happened to me I will NEVER shop here again. On August 15 I ordered my daughter some school clothes and The Children's Place charged me a total of $51.46. I got charged again on the 19th for the same amount. So I called the customer service number and was left on hold for almost an hour just for the customer service representative to tell me they only charged me once! Now this morning I got charged again from The Children's Place! That's 3 times they charged me already, words can't even explain how pissed off I am.
So I call the customer service number again today and was on hold for over an hour again just for the woman to tell me that they only charged me once and I'm not getting a refund. I don't know what the heck is going on over there but that system is messed up. They literally stole money from me and they won't do anything about it. I'm just wondering if the same thing will happen next week because every time I get paid the $51 is taken out of my account. And if that's not bad enough my daughter starts school tomorrow and I have no clue when her clothes will be here. Mind you the 15th was 12 days ago.... This taught me to never order anything online again.
Children's Place is a scam - should be put out of business and the Ceo, Jane T. Elfers should be ashamed. No customer service. I ordered a gift on 8-13-19. It took 14 DAYS TO BE SHIPPED (and only because I filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau of New Jersey). I would still be waiting for gift to be delivered. No response to any phone calls. No response to emails. People being charged for same items over and over on their credit cards. Where are the heads of this company - playing golf and enjoying big salaries while the customers are having to fight to get anything done. All the employees of Children's Place, including the Executive Board should BE FIRED! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CHILDREN'S PLACE. Scam.
