They have a good customer service, we purchase tires but they were a little expensive. Even though we bought the cheapest ones. I think they should lower the prices on tires. In the past we had the oil and filter change service, and the price was ok even though it was not a full synthetic oil.

I had my suv inspected today at Mavis in Lincolnton North Carolina today. Very happy with the service provided! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and the service was prompt and professional. The representative Chip was very helpful. I would recommend this location for any future visits.

The front desk was very accommodating with ordering tires in advance and setting up appointment. Was in at 8:00 am and out the door by 10:10. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING WITH HAVING to now drive to Mavis Mount Sinai, which by the way was accommodating with my wheel alignment service. Having that Rocky point wheel alignment machine has been broken since February!!! How does a tire company allow the lapse of 5 months go by without replacement parts for wheel alignment machine?

Needed 4 new tires for our boat trailer. Dropped off the old tires with rims. They were extremely helpful taking them out of my car and putting the new ones in. The tires were in stock and I picked them up within a few hours after a phone call from desk!

Bill is smart fast and awesome! Got a flat before my trip - they turned it around so quickly! Great service - I would recommend them. They had to order a tire for my car and it came in and was installed the next day. They have also removed tacks that I thought were nails for free!

Have always had great experience at my Mavis store. Darryl and Tom take of me and don’t try to sell me anything I don’t need. Prices are very fair. I’ve been bringing my vehicles there for years. Trustworthy and honest. If I need something done that they don’t do at the shop they have recommended someone in town and it has always worked out. Would highly recommend.

They did not do an alignment when they said they did and the inspection took forever and then they said they couldn't align the car the second time because of the bolts. Took it somewhere else and they aligned it and it didn't need struts either. Never again!

A.J. took a real interest in our purchase, did most of the work, and followed it through to completion. He remounted a spare tire on the spare rim and mounted on the spare rack. The Goodyear Endurance tires (of which he had 4, just as needed) were what I came in needing. We were both very pleased with the final result.

I had my vehicle sway on the construction areas. Put new ball joints and tire rods in - Steering wheel straight and did not pull either way - Got off work early to have front end alignment done, had front end alignment done. Car now pulls to the right and steering wheel is off to the left to go straight. See photo. Took it back within 5 minutes - Response I received was "it's an old car and that is the best it gets. Replace the u -joint in the steering column." They did not attempt to resolve the problem!! I would not recommend this location.

I called for an appointment, and they said they could fit me in right away. I arrived and they got me in, gave me a time and cost estimate which I thought was very reasonable. The work was completed more quickly than expected, and the final bill was cheaper than quoted. Very happy with the speed and service.

The Somerset Mavis team was very helpful in providing quality new tires (Goodyear Assurance All Season) with alignment at discounted prices for my 2019 Lincoln Nautilus. During the installation process it was determined that the chrome capped wheel nuts were defective, and despite it being Sunday, the team was able to locate replacements (some temporary) to facilitate return of my vehicle. New wheel nuts were ordered Monday and installed Tuesday. I will be a return customer in the future.

Terry and Charles are always a pleasure to do business with at the Oregon Pike location. They are very knowledgeable and extremely fair! I’ve been a helicopter mechanic for 27yrs and know maintenance well, these guys are always on point and beat local prices on products and service! I had 2 tires replaced on my car on a Saturday afternoon in Columbus, GA. Before I scheduled my appointment and had the tires special ordered I verified with the store that they accepted the Goodyear credit card. The Goodyear credit card has promotional rates where no interest is charged for 6 months. When my tire change was complete it was late afternoon near closing time. When they ran my Goodyear credit card the transaction did not go through. They tried several times but it never worked. They called the Mavis support line but they are closed on the weekend.
I called the Goodyear support line and talked to them for quite a while where I found out that my card was still active, had an available credit limit of well over the cost of the new tires that I purchased, and that they were not seeing any transactions on my card, not even declined transactions. They told me to have Mavis call them from the store's land line and perhaps they could help. Mavis called, they tried a few different things, but they still could not get the system to complete the transaction. So now Mavis presented me with only 3 options at this point. Use a different form of payment (without a promotional rate), apply for Mavis's store credit card that has a promotional rate, or leave my car at the shop for the weekend until their customer care line was manned again.
I offered to have them take the new tires back and put my old ones on but the mechanics had all left for the day and the Store Manager would not do it. I asked to talk to the district and regional managers but they were not answering their phones. I wound up having to apply for their store credit card just to get my car back which affected my credit rating and I should not have been forced to do that just to be able to leave with my car.
Dear Mr. Pitcher, we do truly apologize for this hardship with the Goodyear card. We see in our records from your commit ticket in our system that our store tried running your card through First Mile program multiple times, as well as reaching out to the corporate for Goodyear to see if they could manually process the credit card. Our store also put in a commit ticket to have our I.T. team look into First Mile to see if there was an issue with it and I.T. confirmed it would have been an error on Goodyear's side if the card didn't process. At that point when you had asked what options were left, the store advised you could use another form of payment or we had a financing option as well that would offer the same promotion of Goodyear card. You had then agreed to the Mavis/Synchrony option and entered all the information on the application. Once approved you were able to use the Mavis card as the form of payment and thanked Justin and the store for their efforts and shook his hand before leaving the location. We were under the impression all was well and we truly apologize if it wasnt. Mavis did a phenomenal job on my 2017 grand caravan. They made sure everything was good since I am moving to Florida and driving down there. The manager Chris and his mechanic Edward jr, did a great work on the car. It’s driving way better then how I brought it in. They took care of everything and expressed to me what else needed down if I wanted to. I definitely will continue to come to Mavis in Bayonne. They has a good team there.

I came in expecting to replace both front and rear brakes. However they found my front in excellent condition and so we did the rear. Because of the "savings", I was able to afford doing some other maintenance on my vehicle. Definitely helped me trust that I was recommended things my SUV actually needed. I felt like I was more than $$ to them.

They are always so nice and helpful and very knowledgeable. I would recommend the Dallas GA location to anyone. I have been getting my oil changed here for years and recently they replaced my brakes and rotors. It was seamless and such an easy process. They communicated very effectively as well. And for a busy Saturday they were on top of everything. I will continue to use this location for future oil changes and other services as needed. I drive a Volkswagen and the nearest dealership is about 30 minutes away. I enjoy having a local shop that can service my vehicle with no issues.

I wish I could say something good about this shop. It's in my town and the people are friendly. But I go there for a service to my car. Basic state inspection. They give the car back saying I have an oil leak, and as a footnote, I need wipers. "Get the oil leak fixed somewhere and return so we can install the wipers," I was told. But they sent me off with one wiper, telling me don't turn them on because it will scratch the windshield. I get the oil leak fixed elsewhere. When I returned they say, "These wipers are a dealer's item. We don't carry those wipers." I explained I had both wipers when I came here. But they just gave excuse after excuse. Similar thing happened with a rear light. I'm never going there again. This shop is Total embodiment of incompetence.

I came in as a walk-in with a list of items I wanted to take care of and the staff walked through that list with me and was able to take care of my windshield wipers right on the spot as well as give me a referral to another local business that could take care of the work that Mavis could not. Wanted to buy new tires for a 9 hour trip in a few days. After making an appt on a Sat, I arrived and they were overrun w customers. I offered to come back the next day and they were appreciative. Called 1 hr before my new appt time to make sure the time was still good - said that I could come on Mon if need be. I was assured the time was good and that I would be out before 2pm. I told them I had a 2pm Appt. I pd for my new tires at 1:57pm which caused me to miss my appt. Also, my seat and steering ew changed and I can't get the setting back. I had asked for a quiet tire and my new tires are noisy. Now what?

I recommend Mavis Discount Tire Service. I did have a little trouble with time, but they were upfront about the problems with the car ahead of mine and completed my car after that. I have nothing but good words to say about the Mavis on Middle Country in Selden. I received excellent service, excellent pricing and on time work. I drove out of there happy and that was with less money in my pocket and still very happy. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family. They just don't do tires. Continuing customer for the past 5 yrs. All 5 of my family's vehicles are serviced at Mavis. AJ and staff are the best. I would highly recommend Mavis. AJ sold me on his knowledge 5 yrs ago when I stopped in looking for tires. Before I walked in he addressed me with the size right off the bat and was extremely helpful. I’ve been loyal ever since.

It is awful, terrible customer service. I took my truck there to fix a small puncture and now the tire they worked on causing vibration as if out of balance. Took the truck back there and told them the issue, but they were more interested in arguing than helping, coming up with made up excuses. When I told the manager (Mark) that I will not be going back, he replied he didn't care because it doesn't cost him any money. Took the truck to another tire shop and they were immediately able to find that Mavis did a shady repair and balance job and were able to fix it. Terrible experience, will never go back.

I spoke with Mavis customer service and they explained that the $39 mount and balance charge is the same price whether they actually balance the tires or not. “The $39 is the mounting fee and the balancing is free”. It gets printed on the receipt as both generically. They also informed me that even the regular rubber valve stems are billed generically as TPMS ones. Still doesn’t seem like the correct way of billing it out. Especially if the store doesn’t explain the wording of the charges. The customer service representative was extremely polite in explaining why the charges appear the way they do and gave a $25 voucher to use at a future visit.
I still don’t agree with the statement listing services that weren’t included and don’t understand how TPMS valves are the same price as standard ones. I do feel they listened to my concerns and the voucher is appreciated since they weren’t obligated to do anything. They should also update their pricing on the frequently asked questions to reflect the $39 cost instead of $20 like it says. Charging almost double from what it says it costs online still doesn’t seem right. The page shows as being updated on 5/13/24 which obviously isn’t correct.

I have always used Mavis for all of my tire needs. This time I needed 2 12” tires for my jet ski trailer and they were unable to get them. But they did say they would mount them once I got them if I brought them in. So I received the tires brought them in and had them mounted. No balance. Just mounted and was charged $101.60! I couldn’t believe it. That’s the same as the tires' cost. The bill shows I was billed for mounting and balancing along with TPMS valve stems which they don’t have. I asked the guy about it being charged for the balancing and sensors that weren’t done and he said “I’ll take care of you next time. Find you a coupon or something for a discount”. I couldn’t believe that’s how it was handled. After that experience there’s not going to be a “next time”. I was expecting $50-60 on the high side but $101.60 is a complete ripoff. I highly recommend finding somewhere else if you don’t want to get taken advantage of.

Came in to get flat tire repaired. Seems like good service and it was done right. I go into car this AM and the tire is dead flat! Now I have to give it some air so I can get to Mavis again. I’m losing work time now as I wait until the tire guy gets in to fix his mistake. Terrible service!

The mechanic identified an issue I had discussed on a previous visit. So I had the work completed and he was correct that my brakes would last as long as they did. Mike and his team at the Wilkes-Barre, PA, Kidder Street location are wonderful. I have taking my car there for the better part of the last decade. They have always treated me well. Today I had two tire affected by pieces of a screw and metal.. They took me right in, and because I had road hazard protection on my tires, they patched me up, and got me out within 25 minutes, and that is with walking in!

I called for tires, they got me in within an hour and the service was quick and professional. The bill reflected what I was quoted and they didn't try to sell me what I didn't need, unlike Goodyear. Goodyear Quoted me $1600.00 for 4 tires (because that is all they had in stock). They took off my inspection sticker and told me I couldn't leave until I purchased the $1600.00 tires, what a joke.

I had an apt for 3pm for an oil change and tire rotation. I had a written printout. AJ told me that Mavis does not honor its appointments and they were "way too busy" to do my car. He left me the option of leaving my car, with no way home, in the rain, and they would try to "get to it" on Monday. I pointed out that I work and I would need my car. I told him I would wait, but could they do it today. Nope. They don't honor their commitments. Period and too bad.

Great service. Manager really seems to care about customer satisfaction and the reputation of his store. Pricing is competitive. I highly recommend the NTB/Mavis Discount Tire in Sugar Land, Tx on Highway 90. They do outstanding work, are efficient, offer very competitive pricing, and are very customer-friendly. Denver is the manager, and he is phenomenal. He is very patient, knowledgeable, and understanding when it comes to customer concerns. Great service- took me right in with no appointment, which was much better than the dealership who sold me my tires to begin with. Note- it's not necessarily that dealership's fault that they're busy, but they're ALWAYS too busy, and have not been there for me multiple times when I've needed them. I've spent quite a bit of money with them, and I think it's only fair to expect some give and take. Anyhow, quite a different experience at Mavis Discount Tires- The staff was accommodating, friendly and transparent throughout the process- Tried to fix the tire, gave me a fair price on an in stock tire when they couldn't. Unprofessional, Bad Customer Service, not trustworthy, bad crisis management too! Okay, this is my experience. Few months ago, I went there once, waited for about 2 hour and 1/2 hours and finally got my tires replaced, and brake pads replaced. (So I thought it was a good service, and maybe giving the 5 star, and be a regular customer since I work close to this place.) Then I have another car, I thought of giving them to fix again. This time is totally bad, like 180 degree change, bad experience.
Monday, (First Strike) - I first called them first, got the quote. They said bring the car in, drop it off, will be done by 3:30pm, (because I work close by, so I decide to do so). Then they called me saying they get the wrong part for my SUV. I went back around 3:30pm and tried to pick up my car and they are closing up the tires and said they can't do it today because they got the wrong part., and advised me to bring it back tomorrow. The manager literally said "See you tomorrow".
So I trusted him, the next day, Tuesday (Second strike) - I went there first thing in the morning around 8am. The door was not opened until 8:15am, the manager wasn't there, only the assistance manager which was useless. I left my car there thinking they have the part and all the info. and I should be able to pick it up today. Lo and behold, I called the shop and the ass. manager said the shop manager was not in today, and there was no mechanic available and asked me to bring it back tomorrow again.
I asked if he can contact the manager, the ass. manager simply said no mechanic is available, very rude and he called me rude. I told him I was promised two times and he had nothing about it, didn't even try. So, I went back and picked up my car with nothing done and guess what, I saw two mechanics working on other cars but mine!! Shouldn't mine be high priority? (I guess they want to lose me as customer - was about to give them about $1000 brake pads, rotors fixed, guess they didn't care!)
Wednesday (Third strike) - The manager Lashawn finally called to apologize but guess what time he called. He called me around 4:30pm. Isn't that too late? If I drove that car, and if I changed my mind, I could have dropped it off today, and have it done before end of day. But this call basically is asking me to bring it tomorrow! So, what is there is some sort of emergency tomorrow again? If he was sincerely apologizing, he could have called me first thing in the morning so I can have it done today. But that is way too late. It is modern cry wolf. This place cannot be trusted!!
What kind of crappy service is it? First you promise customers same day, then you said wrong part, then asked Customer to come back the next day, then the manager (Lashawn - however you say it) did not show up, and no mechanic was available to do it. I wasted 2 days for this crappy service. They called me late in third day, and expected me to bring it back the fourth day?! What if there is another emergency in fourth day?
I will never go back to them again even if I have to pay the dealer more money... (or go to other shop)! You may have seen lots of good reviews, but one bad review from me will be enough to lose one customer or more.. I was thinking to be the regular customer, but because this incident, I don't think I would go there anymore!

I bought a full set of tires from Mavis in late December for about $900. These are supposedly 80,000 mile tires. At first when I was driving the steering felt wobbly, I had assumed it was just my truck driving different than I'm used to so I let it go. Then when I backed up there was this weird knocking sound, over the next few weeks the steering wheel began to drift, I had to hold the steering wheel at a 15 degree angle just to go straight. I thought it was a power steering problem. I decided to add power steering fluid to the system and while burping the system I found a loose bolt on my alignment adjustment. I tightened it to get it road worthy and upon further inspection found that the the tread on both front tires is GONE.
I hadn't looked closely at the tires as I hadn't put enough miles on the truck to merit a tread inspection. I took the truck back. They want ME to purchase two new tires for about $500 to fix a problem their tire change created. They offered to rotate the good back tires up front and fix the alignment for $80. I had to pay them to do something to "fix" the mistake they made.

I had my car worked on at Mavis Bartram. I had an oil change and tune up and a camshaft position sensor changed. I brought my car in with no oil leak. After Mavis worked on it, I have an oil leak. I told Elisa and John the manager about it. They said they didn't have time to look at it. No apology or sense of responsibility. Very unprofessional and unacceptable.

I got new tires on my car. They changed the filters in my car. I was very pleased with everything they done. They changed my front wiper blades too, very satisfied. I asked for quotes for brakes and rotors. They gave me quotes for brakes and rotors. I will be taking my car back to them to get my brakes and rotors on. Everyone there seem very nice. They were very pleasant people and they all knew what they were talking about, I appreciate them.

Mavis Discount Tire had a promotion if using a Wells Fargo card that would provide a 10% cash back bonus. When setting up an appointment they charge a $25 deposit, and then the remainder is charged at the time of service. In the fine print of the promotion it says that the cash back bonus will only be applied once, so you only end up getting cash back on the deposit since it's the first charge instead of the much larger charge for purchasing new tires. I called Wells Fargo who said it's Mavis that sets the terms and they were unable to do anything about it. I called the store that installed the tires and they said they would look into it and call me back - have heard nothing. I sent an e-mail to Mavis corporate and was told I would receive a response in 48 hours - again heard nothing. The promotion is completely dishonest and the lack of response is telling. I will never bring my car back to a Mavis Discount Tire.

They always do a great job. Been go to this location for over 10 years. Vish always makes sure the repair or whatever issue needs to be addressed is fix. They let me know when there is something that needs to be addressed that I wasn't aware of and I always let them fix it. Preventative maintenance is better than finding something too late that cost more to fix or replace.

They were very prompt in service and took me in exactly at my appointment time. I backed my trailer in and they jacked the trailer up and started right away. The whole process only took an hour, which was very impressive to me considering they had to take off old tire, put new tire on rim, balance and then put it back on the trailer. I've been to Mavis Tires 3 times (in 2 different locations) now and every experience was excellent. One time, they fixed a damaged tire, another time they replaced a tail light and 1 other time I had all 4 tires replaced. Each experience was quick, efficient, very reasonably priced with great quality. I would go to them again and highly recommend their services.

The manager Issac in the Yorktown store totally maned up and made the tough call. He truly was unaware of what had happened and may have been blindsided by my review. Now with a better understanding of this visit and a previous visit involving the alignment, Issac has promised to make things right. The weekends are convenient but really for getting things done in a pinch. I know that the quality control guys the real brains of the operation work long hours 5 and 6 days a week and sometimes you get a filler mechanic on the weekends. What happened to me was a one off. Not saying don’t ask questions and be an educated consumer. Stay on your toes but if you have a big job going on you may want to do it during the week and have a guy like Issac in your corner as an advisor and advocate.

Be prepared. You will be taken advantage of. One loose bolt will cost you hundreds of dollars in labor and hundreds more in parts. There is no stopping them. Large turn over and employee advancement and relocation conceals the heavy abusers of customer deception so you don’t know who you’re going to get. Some mechanics will discount and talk the talk giving coupons and preferential treatment. Careful when they walk you out to the garage to show you something, that’s the killing field where they seal the deal using scare tactics and misleading information. Remember you drove your car in. You can still drive it out! Never enter into an agreement you can’t afford without getting a second opinion. NEVER GET ANYTHING FLUSHED! Major scam used on everyone that enters the shop!
Beware. Be warned. They are a tire place. Buy tires from them all day. They are great. Inspections open the door to chaos. Repeat after me “No thanks. My son does all my work." I leave 1 star for tire service not for price but for convenience. 0 stars for dragging me out to see my car on the lift that needs hundreds of dollars of repairs because the mechanic left the rear toe adjustment bolt in such a position to make my rear tire point out to the side. He told me I had a bent control arm and it needed replacing. Fortunately they we too busy to order the part and after two days I just got it home and went to YouTube. 10 min later it was fixed!
I feel so abused and deceived. I’ve spent so much money over the years with my four Volvos at Mavis. I know what they do. I sit in the shop and listen to the speeches and sales pitches. I just try to pick and choose what my time is worth and maybe toss them a brake job here and there but it’s never 100% always a vibration or a clicking but I can live with that. My daughter had a leak in her tire. I had to stop, put air in it twice before I reached the Mavis tire location. I made an appointment and the Manager Mike ** got me in and out in a timely manner. My father went to Mavis in Lexington SC. The old franks tire location Mavis bought out. My father works for Michelin and took his tires and van to that location to have installed. They up-sold him an alignment. He reluctant to agree as I have a shop but couldn't fit him in and he was there anyway so he agreed. They gave him back his van 5 minutes later. He questioned how a 4 wheel alignment could take only 5 minutes. He left and noticed his van didn't drive well, vibrations and pulling. When he told me this I told him to bring the van to me.
I put the tires on my certified balance machine and none of his tires were balanced. I then put it on my hunter new alignment machine, his alignment was way off. And the grease marks I put on the adjustable points were not even moved. I told him to take my printout back and get a refund. My father is a Christian old-school farmer. He said no, that thieves never get ahead and he would just let all his co-workers at Michelin to not go to a Mavis again. They stole $200 from a senior citizen combat veteran. Mavis is thieves

This place is really good. Although the exact replacement tire was not in the shop, I was advised they could get one by the afternoon. I made an appointment for when they said it would be there, and got there a bit later to give them a little more time. I had a discussion with the manager about patching the old tire, but ultimately decided to just buy a new one. Mavis replaced the tire with the screw in it, and I was on my way. No trying to upsell, no long wait, and David is a pleasant manager. A very decent experience.

Picked up foreign object damage while 200 miles from home. Drove in and drove out with a superbly fixed tire in EXACTLY one hour - ON A SUNDAY! Polite and professional staff. Thorough repair by competent mechanics. No shoving in a plug without even dismounting the wheel (yes, I've seen that). I watched them work from a bay window in the waiting area. Highly recommended if you need emergency work and you are in the Blacksburg, VA area. If I lived closer they would get all of my tire and wheel business.

I purchased tires for my f150 from Mavis/Hazlet. They were very professional and worked with me to find the correct tire/price that suited my price point. As fate goes, the next day my tpms system alarmed. I brought it back to mavis and found that the sensor was bad. They fixed the issue quickly at minimum cost to myself. I had a negative experience with this company. They replaced all my tires with the most expensive option. However, after just three months, a bubble appeared inside one of them. It seems they are dishonest and solely interested in taking people’s money, despite me already having a warranty.

The staff was super helpful in communicating when and how the job would be accomplished. The project took less time than was quoted which was a nice surprise. The tires themselves seem nice. Also received an alignment. Upon driving the car noticed how well it drove and how well the tires rode.

I had a great experience with dropping my car off and picking it up. I needed inspection and oil change and Kapeel took good care of me. My son will be bringing his truck there as well. This is the second survey I’ve received in less than 24 hours. I completed the first one when I was pulling out of the parking lot. But by the time I got home and parked my car, my tire light was back on. I’ve got an appointment at the dealership this week. I’m confident the repair was made, but, they didn’t do anything about the notifications. So maybe the repair wasn’t made… I guess I’ll find out.

I had the brakes repaired on both my wife's car and my car. The repair was done quickly and efficiently. I also received an estimate on getting new front struts installed, which is a fair estimate. The manager Mike, drove my car because I asked him to check the car out for other issues. He informed me that he didn't notice any other issues other than the struts and the brakes needing to be repaired.

I drop by the Burlington location of NTB hoping to get my vehicle inspected on a Sunday. When I arrived at the location everyone was so very busy. However this team took my name and number and stated that although they were busy, once they slow down and were able to breathe they would call me and I could come back before closing to have my vehicle inspected. I had I flat tire on the back rear of my car. The store sold me two tires when I only wanted one then they changed my two front tires that were perfectly good tires that were align perfectly to the back of the car which I indicated not to do this and they did it anyway damaging my alignment. Went back, talked to the manager and the store manager the said they would look at it again which in this case they put the tires the way they were but by now the alignment was damaged and now he wanted to charge me for the alignment they damaged.
The store manager didn’t give me his name. The other manager was Eddie which by the way I called back three times to get his name and they kept saying they couldn’t hear me and hanged up so they wouldn’t give me his name. Not only they were trying to get money out of me but they did for every customer that was there. They tried to get more money out of every single customer there. I don’t recommend it to no one and I will call their customer service number and inform them of their tactics and unprofessional behavior. I wouldn’t even give them a one star review.

I have a 2003 Honda Pilot with over 230,000 miles on it. It needed an oil change and some broken bolts on one of the wheels replaced. I didn't have an appointment, but the work was finished when they said it would be plus they checked everything else over to give me a status report on the overal condition of the car. Nicely done!

I wouldn't recommend anyone to come to this place for car repairs or maintenance. Here's why: Last Saturday, I got four tires replaced at Mavis Tires & Brakes in Hoffman Estates. Since I don't drive much, I didn't notice until Tuesday that one tire had dropped to a pressure of 14, when it should be around 35. I had to go and refill it. Thinking I'd check in over the weekend, I was shocked by what I found. It was unbelievable—they insisted it was the car owner's fault and nothing to do with them. What a coincidence, right? So, within a week, I had to replace another tire and pay for it myself. My experience here was beyond disappointing. I had planned to replace four tires, but ended up replacing five. I won't be returning to this shop again. I'd strongly advise steering clear.

Tire rotation was performed on 01/27/24, there was vibration in the steering when speed is more than 50+mph (usually in city speeds no feeling of vibration was there). Tire balance was performed today 02/04 as a result, and upon delivery, when driving out of the driveway the front left wheel came off! So they wrote an incident report and I requested a copy (they didn't hand me a copy out of courtesy). When I reached home find the date written on the incident report is incorrect, as if the incident happened last year!!! So the onus is always on the customer, to ensure they get what they deserve.

I was able to explain to him in details, through our conversation, over the phone, of what has happened (basically to iterate, to my original concerns) and expressed how upset I am with the ordeal. Tom was VERY calm and was able to listen to my concerns, without interruptions. Of course.. Tom explained and went over ALL the services I received at the Mavis location. With the receipts, services rendered at the store and notes. Tom evaluated everything and provided me with a VERY reasonable resolution, which both of us agreed to. AMEN. Tom also reassured me of the purchases and services were still under warranty. Thank God Jesus and thank you VERY much, Tom. God bless you and your family.

If you VALUE your vehicles, PLEASE DO NOT go to Mavis. Such an incompetent business/mechanics/manager. - ** - - Mavis Tires & Brakes - - 377 S. Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach, FL. I purchased (4) new Michelin tires @ this location & added additional service on my tires, just in case I get a mail in it, or some other repairs may be needed, etc. I had to replaced front brakes, rotors & front sway bars. Also .. had probably 2 oil changes, as well. I spent over $4,000 @ this location, within 2-3 months, I would say so, not needing to go back and check my receipts/dates.
My issues/complaints: I had to come back because I hear some weird sounds/ noise when I was driving, going over small bumps. Took my car back to Mavis. They told me I had to replace the sway bars and they show me what the problem was and this was making the sound/noise, according to them. Another time, I came back for the same noise/sound and my brakes were NOT performing as it should. ONLY had them replaced a SHORT 2-3 months back. It would NOT grip when I brake and when I do brake, the whole car shook, pretty bad. ** (Mgr.) @ Mavis said that I have a bad caliper, which is making the noise. He quoted over a $400 job. I refused. I said just to replace the brakes/rotor and the sway bars. He told me, he won’t do as I asked, then proceeded to walk away from me (SO RUDE!!). He came back a few minutes later and told me, he’ll replace one sway bar, the front brakes and rotors, under warranty.
The next thing I know… ** said that it was my strut making the noise/sound - which mind you, was THE SAME sound/noise since the beginning. And now.. he quoted another $1,000 for one side of the strut and labor. Of course .. I refused. At this point, I don’t believe ANYTHING he tells me. If I needed additional work done on my car, I was planning on going to a professional mechanic, whom has been in business for 48 years. (When I received my car back, the noise was still there and I did noticed something unusual, it looked like they actually replaced my brakes and rotors, because they looked NEW.
I never noticed that when I replaced them the first time. I have a feeling, they NEVER replaced them, the first time. Oh dear God Jesus. That’s VERY frightening, just knowing what had happened?!?) Just VERY deceiving !!! When a business is incompetent like this, in providing me with inaccurate diagnostic - - I refuse to do business with them, anymore!! “Fool Me Once, Shame on You; Fool Me Twice, Shame on Me!”. I will NOT be ignorant again!!
I contacted corporate office and spoke to a young lady there, supposedly she typed/wrote down my complaint. She stated that the regional manager for the area of this Mavis location, will contact me. It’s been over a month or so and I haven’t heard anything from the regional manager. If I didn’t purchased my tires here, I would NEVER come back. But…. I have no choice, due to my warranty on the tires @ Mavis. When I came back to check on my tires because the light came on, which I did check my tires this morning, but towards the end of the night, check tire light came on. They couldn’t find anything wrong with it. So, they drove my car, for some weird reason, which I couldn’t understand - because I brought my car in, regarding to the “Check Tires” light came on.
When everything was done, ** and the mechanic brought to my attention, my tires were over inflated by 2-3 PSI and then also reminded me the strut is what making the noise. SERIOUSLY??? Now, mind you.. other mechanics and Tire Specialists, recommended inflating the tires 2-3 PSI, if you do a lot of traveling. I NEVER had this issue before. At this point, just VERY frustrated with anything that comes out of their mouths. Another thing to mention, as well …. As I was waiting on my car, **, the manager attacked ** by screaming, loudly at him. ** is one of the employees that works in the office. VERY nice gentleman and so is **. **was VERY unprofessional!! There was NO need to attack/scream at **, whom is a grown man and VERY professional, kind and a nice man.
I finally brought my car to the owner of another mechanic shop - whom has been in business for 48 years. I disclosed my terrifying ordeal with the owner. All he could do was shook his head in disgrace and felt sorry for me, of what I went through at Mavis. He replaced both of my front struts/shocks for a VERY reasonable price. He also advised me, the rotors to my brakes were installed improperly/backwards by Mavis. This is so UNBELIEVABLE and yet, I was NOT surprised. I was VERY infuriated, when my new mechanic told me this. Thanks the good Lord Jesus, the rotors were taken cared of immediately, because just the other day, I almost collided into another car, because they jumped out into traffic. Thank God Jesus everyone was okay and thank God Jesus for the other professional mechanic, I went to, whom noticed this incorrect installation of my rotors at Mavis.

I wanted to shout out to Tim and the team at Tuffy Tire and Auto Service in Wesley Chapel Fl. I needed to get a key repair done on my car in advance of a long trip. I called Mavis Tires and got their call center. They didn’t have the tires that I wanted in stock so the man said he would give me another set for $780. I agreed to this and went in to have the tires installed. After they were installed they handed me a bill for $876. I complained but they told me that the price they quoted me didn’t include tax or disposal fee. I was never told this when talking to call center. I tried talking to the man in charge and did once but he would not call me back after he listened to the recording of my call center conversation. Also they upped the price of the tires before they gave me a discount on them. The whole deal is underhanded and I will never set foot in there again.

Buyer beware! I recently purchased (3 sets of tires for 3 separate vehicles) from Mavis in SEMMES. I also purchased their insurance for the tires. My wife had a flat on her car. Took the tire to Mavis (SEMMES) in the bed of our truck. Young man looks into the bed, within seconds states; "Nope not our tire, can't help you". I called Mavis. They confirmed I bought the tire through them, confirmed the insurance. So, I take the tire to Mavis SEMMES. Same young man starts writing up the work order. Stops in the middle of writing it up and goes to help someone that pulled in behind me. No, they didn't have an appointment.
Manager comes out, states, "How may I help you?" I said, "I need this tire pro-rated and replaced, as the tire had separated, no punctures." Manager states, "You're not going to talk to me like that. I don't have to service you!" After speaking with the regional manager about their rudeness and lack of customer service. He stated they would replace it. (That's why I had insurance). No comment for their rudeness or lack of customer service. Long story long. After being totally dismissed on my purchase. After being put through all time pain and anguish. After few weeks of owning their tires and 2/32nds of wear. It cost me $87 to get Mavis SEMMES to honor my purchase and the purchase of their insurance.

Excellent and honest. I could have saved a few $, but I like going someplace where I can trust the folks working on my vehicles. They're very professional and cater to my every vehicle needs. They communicate and are attentive to my concerns along with giving positive recommendations. I can almost always get service same day I call and scheduling an appointment is easy. Any work I've had done has also taken less time that I figured. I drive at least a hundred miles a day and I'm hard on my vehicles. I like how easy Mavis is to deal with. Excellent service and friendly people. Vehicle was taken in service bay as soon as I arrived. Tire problem was shown to me and advised me of my options. Tire was replaced at no charge due to previous Tire purchase and was not offered the road hazard warranty. Very pleased with their honesty.

I have used Mavis Tire in Batesburg twice in the past year for a tire repair. Both times I was able to get my tire repaired quickly. I got an oil change and tire rotation last week. I find this shop to be very efficient. Customer service is excellent. Wait time is minimal. Price is competitive. I highly recommend this company.

Despite the shop being busy upon arrival, I was greeted with a smile and felt welcomed. My car was taken shortly after and my wait time was an hr. Granted, I only had an oil change, but I’ve been elsewhere prior and waited 2-3 hrs just for an oil change. This is my second visit to Mavis, and I will surely be back.

When I arrived the front desk was so friendly and was eager to help. I didn’t know what was wrong with my tire. It was making a thumping noise. The guys there assured me that they would find the problem and they did! The Assistant Manager Guy contacted me before anything was done. They allowed me to drop vehicle as a walk-in. I knew I would have to wait a little while but they even took me home and picked me up after my car was ready! Such a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely go back! SCAM ALERT: Brought my car in at 60K miles to Cheektowaga Union Rd location for a brake and suspension check, knowing that a rear suspension issue existed. Was told by Ali the manager that I needed new shocks in the rear for $550 and that both ball joints in the front end needed replacement for another $850 and possibly an additional $350 for other brake work, like new pads, may be discovered when they replace the ball joints. I decided to wait on front end work and get a second opinion. Different mechanic just told me my front end ball joints are in perfect condition and that front brake pads are 3/4's worn if I want to change them out now for $240 or wait a little bit longer. Shame on Mavis for dishonest business practices. Do not recommend. Go elsewhere. Untrustworthy.

Very disappointed with Mavis Discount Tires. I bought two high brand tires from them and they were warranted for like 70-80K miles. However, in less than 6 months and haven't driven 6k miles, the tire are so almost to barebone. I understand sometimes items are defective and what not, but the disappointed is how Mavis has been handling this. I went to the store that I bought tires from few times and they make one excuse after another. I finally called the customer service and filed a claimed about this. They said they will send it to the warranty department and they they should call me back within 24 hours. After a week, nothing.
I called back and they sent another email to warranty department... Another week and nothing. So, I did this 3-4 times.. I would recommend that everyone should stay away buying from them. If something goes bad, you'll start your frustration process. Many other stores you will go to the store and they can inspect the tires and take care of it. The Mavis will charge you so much and with nothing backing it. Worst experience ever.

I scheduled the appointment and then went to my car. I looked over the receipt and noticed that they charged $19.99 me for tire rotation that was supposed to be free. After I got that amount refunded. I went to another place to see about getting rear shocks as they told me that's what I needed only to find out I didn't need them! Dear Joanne, we are so sorry for this incident. We were able to find a ticket in the system for you that was assigned to the Regional manager, Sean. Sean investigated the incident and found your vehicle had been towed in to our shop after an accident. The condenser and radiator were both compromised (due to the accident) and we replaced both items since they are within our repair menu. We ordered those parts directly from Audi. After replacing those items, it was determined you had an internal sensor issue as well as some other damage that we, unfortunately, couldn't fix being a tire retailer and not a full service shop. We suggested you go to a full service dealer for the remaining items that required repair as a result of the accident. We do apologize again however we never want to take on a job that we are not able or authorized to do.

I’ve been going to them for over 10 years and I’ve never seen the company this bad. This past year all I wanted done was to have my rotors that I bought through them warranted but instead the general manager made it difficult! Never took care of me and just blew me off, And if I had more space I would share what I saw today.

Finding this place is a godsend. I hesitate to share this only because I want to keep them for myself. They are so honest and very pleasant to deal with. Took my car in because my brakes were making a funny noise on and off. They checked it all out and told me it was the abs. Now they could of run me up a bill, I wouldn't of known but they didn't. Matter of fact my visit was free of charge. He explained everything to me and no work was needed at this time. These guys are great!!!!

I was desperate to have my car inspected. In the past, I've experienced auto repair shops that wouldn't pass my car until I repaired something or other from them. Mavis Discount Tire was AWESOME! They accepted my car for inspection and gave me a list of RECOMMENDATIONS to be repaired. They didn't FORCE me to repair anything. They inspected my vehicle and gave me the inspection sticker. Because they were so honest and forthright, I will definitely return to Mavis in the near future to correct their repair recommendations. WOW... an honest auto repair shop.

I have never had such a good experience with repair services as I enjoyed today at this facility on Hammock Ridge Rd in Clermont. The manager Tom went beyond in assisting me with my issues and I left a very grateful customer. I cannot say enough about the kindness and consideration shown to me and now I will sing their praises from the mountain tops (if I find any here in Florida). Very Disappointed in the way they serviced my vehicle, I brought in my Subaru Outback for new rotors and brakes and an oil change, My car was left for 3 days and they were only able to do an oil change in which they not only NEVER drained the dirty oil buy just poured oil over the dirty oil and overfilled by at least 3 quarts. The oil overfilled and filled up all of the valves causing my vehicle to lag. This was verified by an independent service station, When I called and spoke to a Manager he promised me all of the bays at his shop had cameras and he would review, and get back to me right away.
Again waited till the end of day and called the next day to say I never heard back, the one Manager Aron told me he would have the manager I spoke with get right back to me, that was early Friday morning. Never heard back from anyone. They will NOT take ownership of problem and apologize for having left my car for 3 days and no one was able to get their hands on new rotors for my brakes. They also broke one of the pads that did NOT need to be replaced by trying to remove with a screwdriver, Again, verified by a third party. DO NOT TKAE YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANY REASON! NOT HONEST. I gave them the opportunity to return my calls but nothing. So now it's up to me to notify the public and do my part to help save people the aggravation that I had to go through.

After coming out of work today, I had a flat tire. I used a small compressor that I keep in my vehicle to fill it up enough to get me to the shop. I brought it to the shop with approximately four hours and 15 minutes to close. The mechanics were already busy with the entire loading bay full of vehicles being worked on. They were still able to get to my vehicle before close and fix my issue so that I could continue my school and work schedule tomorrow without interruption

I’ve had an amazing experience in both of Cicero, New York and Geneva, New York locations. With four cars in our household we’ve needed service a few times in the last couple months and the staff went above and beyond each and every time. I highly recommend Mavis! I needed air in my tires and they pulled it in the shop when the air compressor wasn’t working. I also stopped by to get air again and even with them being closed an associate came out and assisted me and noticed something wrong with my tire.

I went to Mavis Tires in Camillus for an inspection and to have new tires put on. They took my car in on time and explained how bad my shocks were and showed me the damage it had done to my rear tires and what it could do to the new ones if not fixed. They helped me with my financing on the flexshopper account and helped me so I was able to get the work I needed without spending a dime that day. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

This is the worst experience I've ever had at any establishment. So I set an appointment with this office that they say they don't have. I tell the rep at the desk that my tire is brand new I have a nail in it and you can hear the air pour out. My husband pulled into an empty bay because there were no cars in the lot and one car up in the air at an occupied bay. The young lady at the front desk states you can't block my bay. So my husband goes out and moves it. The one man that was working in the shop stared at both me and my husband as if we had extra limbs and made both of us uncomfortable. I asked if he was the only person working because he seemed to not want to be all there. Walking like a zombie dropping tools everywhere in the oil collector (bin) etc.
She stated there was another tech and there, he walked out and started my truck without even noticing that the tire was completely flat and driving it would bend the rim. so I stopped him and said hey I don't want you driving on the rim.. and it will further damage the tire. can you put air in it first.. He looked at me like I was crazy and stated either you want me to fix it or you don't. I told him if it requires further damage I'm good. so he hopped out left the door open and the car running and went back inside and sat down. My husband used his own air pump to put air in the tire and drove home and called AAA. I will NEVER return and it's down the street from my home.

Brought my 2015 GMC truck for a tire repair. Got a call that my truck was ready so I headed to Mavis and when I got there the police were there and they informed me that while the mechanic was driving my truck in their parking lot he crashed into another car. My truck was not drivable at the time. They had to pull the bumper out so that it would not pop the tire. After 10 calls to the store, many calls to corporate, my truck is still damaged and all they keep telling me is that they have to check the camera footage. Don't care who is at fault, I just know I dropped off my truck in perfect condition at Mavis. Shame on them for not taking care of it already!!!!

I took my vehicle to Mavis twice to fix a leaking tire. Both times they patched it, but not very well. When the tire leaked for the third time, I drove my vehicle to Discount Tire for a permanent solution. Unfortunately, because of the way Mavis tried to fix the problem, Discount Tire was unable to repair the tire. So I just purchased a brand-new tire, even though the original tire had fewer than 10,000 miles. Don't take your vehicle to Mavis. They don't seem to specialize in tire repair.

I really like my local MAVIS dealer. I can get great personal service AND FREE AIR! Love it. MAVIS is first for my car needs (tires & battery). The personnel are very friendly and helpful. The wait time was exactly as they said. The waiting room is temp controlled and neat.
