Ordered oversized tires for my truck on Wednesday afternoon. Tires arrived at the store at 10:30 Thursday morning. My truck was in the bay by 10:45 and the tires were mounted and finished by 1:15. Tires look great. I was advised about front brakes needing to be replaced. I will be returning to have this done

Used the show and tell approach so that I can see what was important and what could wait without pressuring me, also explain how the systems worked and offered financing to pay for anything. I might want to have done. I think the prices were fair or better than most of the other people around. I definitely will be back.

The crew was great. Great communication and seems to be driving fine. George was great to deal with, kept me informed all along and great customer service. The time I was sceduled was honored and I was told an hour to an hour and a half and it took 1 hour and 20 minutes. I am happy with the service I received.

Love dealing with these men because they know what they are doing and treat me with respect. I will always be back to these men. If you are in Sanford, don’t go anywhere else! Prices are great and the service is better! I had them check up my truck and fix a few different items. I’m always glad when they look at it and are honest about what they find.

Terrible customer service at the Chalfont, PA location. This was my second bad experience with Shea. This time Shea left me stranded without a car to get to work. I dropped off my car Friday evening for a Saturday appointment (for an annual state inspection). I had not heard anything by 2:00pm (Saturday), so I called to get a status. Shea told me that my car only needed wiper blades, which I agreed to.
I waited again for Shea to call and let me know when my car would be ready (which she didn’t). I called Shae again at 4:15pm to get a status. Shea told me my car was ready, but they closed at 5:00pm. She then told me they were also closed the next day (Sunday) for Easter. They are normally open Sundays. I told her I could not get a ride within the next 45 minutes. I asked to pay over the phone. She said Mavis would not accept payment over the phone, even though her lack of communication all day caused the problem. I needed more than 45 minutes notice. I live 6.5 miles away and would have walked if need be so I had a car for work on Monday. I work in NJ and need to leave for work on Monday at 6am. I could not wait until Mavis opened at 8am. I spent all day Easter trying to find a ride work on Monday.

Staff at the Kirkwood Highway (Wilmington, DE) location is outstanding. I have confidence in them and will return for other repairs as needed. They clearly explained what I needed and gave options. Excellent customer service. Staff was knowledgeable, efficient, & and respectful. Prior to purchasing a new full set of tires I had several questions regarding my specific tire needs. Making an appointment was easy and oil change was performed even a little earlier than the appointment time. The employees are friendly and professional and the oil change was done quickly and efficiently. They check the engine fluids, brakes and tires as part of the service. I have been a customer of Tire Kingdom for many years and I trust them.

I have dealt with four different Mavis Tire locations in Rockland County and they are consistently bad. They give you a difficult time with any problems that occur (bought 4 tires plus an alignment and upon pick up they advised me that no alignment was done and I needed to return the car in 3 days for the alignment another location replaced my battery and ignored that my NYS inspection sticker was expiring and therefore I was required to drive over 300 miles before the inspection system would function and my tires that were warrantied for 65,000 miles had tread of 4/32 after about 20,000 miles needed replacing which they charged me a premium for installation, alignment and balancing and after an oil change I needed to return because they did not completely replace my oil) and after 1 week with new tires on my car, I got a flat and Mavis advised me I needed a new tire at about $ 200 and I brought the tire to an honorable dealer and was advised for $ 30 they plugged the tire. I strongly advise not using them.

My tire blew out on route 81 N on my way back to PA from NC. The Virginia DOT changed it using my spare but I had 400 miles to go. I called NTB in Staunton from the highway and was told to come right over. I was greeted immediately, my tires were evaluated and I was given options for tire replacement. My tire was changed within 30 minutes and I was back on the road. Excellent service with a smile.

Excellent service and communication by mechanic and staff. The staff and mechanics provided a detailed description of my wheel alignment. Tara grappler the battery checks, shocks brakes, and they verified the battery life. They were timely and they assisted in setting up the appointment. Omg…it’s 9:24pm and Mavis here in Royersford closes at 8:30pm on today however Solomon and another worker are still here being very dedicated and productive to customers in need of help tonight and other cars currently in the Bay!!! Service from start is impeccable! Flat tire and I called about 5:30pm to ask for service - I didn’t arrive until 7:30pm and Solomon said they will take care of me! Professionalism quality and service from start to finish! Solomon was working on cars and tending to customer in waiting area while also working the counter in between cars he is servicing in the bay! Talk about customer service! This Mavis is on a different type of level when it comes to customer service!

The manager at Mavis was fantastic. He was very nice and thorough even though they were slammed. I brought my car unsure if I needed brake service or not. They always do a great job here. Been coming here for years. The name changed from Tuffy to Mavis but the same crew is still there. I went there for inspection. The first day they had my car the whole day. They told me 8 codes so they will do the muffler first. I came back today and they sold me stuff I did not need. Results no inspection and 3650 dollars later and was there over eight hours today. I will never go back there again. Bait and switch place. Now I’m in the hole and I explained my situation. They act like they care but do not. They just wanted my money. If I had time I would get a crew together and make signs and walk up and down the sidewalk. They took advantage of me. I told him that I’m a single father of three kids with now a max out credit account and not much left in my bank. That money I had in there was supposed to pay at least my electric I’ll but who cares? Don’t go to that Mavis.

I went to Mavis to have my oil changed, tires rotated and balanced, and a wheel alignment. Good, competitive pricing, and the car rides much smoother. The front counter person was personable, and even made a good suggestion on how often I should really change the oil. 02/22/2025 Scamming Customers for Fake Repairs. Beware!!! Mavis Repair Shops are not to be trusted. Here’s why: I took my 2019 For Escape to the repair shop in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The technician called me to the shop to explain the Left shock needed to be repaired. There was visible oil dripping from it. I worked as a mechanic for 30 years and am now enjoying retirement. I was dubious since I took very good care of my vehicles and when I asked more questions, I found the oil was CLEAN. I declined the service and thought this was just an unusual (and unethical) way to do business.
A few months later, I had a trusted mechanic put new tires and rotors on my car and gave it to my Granddaughter in New York. With only 45,500 miles on it and I felt confident she was getting a reliable car. Since the car was from Florida, she needed a NYS Inspection, so she took the car to Mavis in Cortland NY. The mechanic at Mavis said the left shock was “broken” and quoted the repair at $600 + Labor. My granddaughter became suspicious of the necessity of the repairs when the mechanic indicated he was aware of the FL Mavis visit. She ultimately declined to pay for the repairs so she could get a second opinion. Mavis charged her for the NYS Inspection fee ($21) and noted that the car “Failed Inspection.”
Next, my granddaughter took the car to a different national company for a re-inspection in Syracuse where she explained the earlier Mavis findings. They inspected the car and explained that there was nothing wrong with the left shock. The car PASSED Inspection. Mavis – shame on you for targeting older adults and young women to pay for unnecessary repairs.

Haris and Ro were both integral and helpful in getting the one replacement for my punctured tire that was in the Mavis warehouse. It was ordered on Thursday and installed on Friday quickly and efficiently. I purchased the set of four from a Mavis in Short Hills (Millburn), NJ. The deal was so good that Haris gave me a discount to come close enough. He helped me file on an online "roadside hazard warranty" claim with Nexen Tire.

Please, please don't be fooled by the reviews. This may be an "okay" place to get tires-and that's even a reach. This company is very much "give a mouse a cookie, he'll want milk..."and so on and so forth (emphasis on the HE-because this is very old boys club vibes). They like to parade around like they're doing you a solid, when they are definitely setting you up to spend as much as they can get out of you. This place sets a bad example for mechanics who are simply trying to do honest, hard work and make a living. I went to Mavis the beginning of November to get new tires on my car, and decided to get an alignment and an oil change. What I thought would be a simple job turned into an oil leak two weeks later. I brought my car back in, and was told it was an oil pan gasket and that the oil pan needed to be replaced-which I did. This cost for this service was $836.69.
The job took several days, and the car was still leaking oil a couple of weeks after. I called Mavis again, and when I took the car in-they told me that now the fix was the timing belt cover. The cost of this ended up being $1473. This was well into December now, the 18th to be exact. I drove my car the 1.5 miles home and the next day while driving my car-it was idling rough and struggling to shift gears. I had my car towed in-costing me $45. They told me that the timing belt was off by a tooth and needed to be reset. They told me that they'd get it taken care off, but ended up driving it to an undisclosed mechanic's personal property and would not tell me the location of my car. I ended up having to use my Chevrolet app, letting me know it was at 1481 Tuskawilla Rd-which is not a mechanic shop of any sort.
During this time, they had my car over two holidays, and ensured me that my car would be back to me by Christmas Eve EOB-I didn't receive any phone calls or updates and was unable to drive over to see my family for Christmas because of this. I also received a message from the manager stating that he would refund me what I paid to get my car fixed somewhere else-which he did not do. Between each of the "repairs", they had my car for a week at a time-if not more and didn't provide a single update unless I asked them to. The manager would text me "updates" from what I found out later to be his personal phone-which I found to be quite unprofessional and even uncomfortable at times. The updates were scarce, and I had to call every day just to get an update about my car. I got my car back, and not even a day later-it was leaking oil again.
At this point, I tried to contact someone in the corporate offices-and they relayed me message to a regional Manager named Tim **, who when he called me was brash, aggressive and really nasty. He went back and forth with me, and offered to pay for the repairs for the oil leak to be done. At this point, I questioned all of the work done on the car-as throughout this process, the manager informed me that he doesn't work on the cars himself, that he fired the mechanic that originally worked on my car, and that he sent my car to another shop to diagnose it because they couldn't quite figure out where the issue was. I no longer wanted to do business with them, and sent an email detailing all of this.
Tim never responded to me, nor my follow up email until after I contacted corporate again almost two months later. This time around he refused to refund me for the final fix of my oil leak (that was done within a few hours at another shop, and hasn't had any leaks since). Needless to say, PLEASE for the sake of your car, your money, your time, and your peace of mind-take your car ANYWHERE but here. I learned the lesson for you.
Dear Adrianna, on 11/26/24 you brought the vehicle to our location for an oil change service. The vehicle was found to have excessive oil throughout the engine compartment. The oil pan and drain plug assembly had been damaged from the last service providers of the vehicle. (we have photos of the preexisting damage). A new oil pan assembly was placed upon the vehicle and the vehicle was returned to you.
You returned with the vehicle on 12/14/24 with the concern of another oil leak. It was determined further repairs were required to the Timing Cover and front main seal. On 12/18 you dropped the vehicle at the facility for the repair. It was also found the vehicle required timing components due to age and mileage. (2015 Chevrolet Cruz with 156,000 miles).We have communicated with you through text via multiple members of the Mavis team throughout this experience.
The courtesy offer was made to reimburse you for the repairs you had completed at another facility (even though a warranty was not just expressed, it was written) You, instead, decided to dispute the credit card charge and unfortunately stopped the process of us to be able to assist you. The charge was concluded valid by your creditor and they suggested you speak to us again.
Unfortunately, this is a situation where your 2015 Chevy Cruz is problematic and is plagued with preexisting oil leaks and timing issue. Mavis does a multitude of repairs right on time and the first time. We do look forward to meeting, if not exceeding, your expectations within reason. Howell Mavis Tire Center does a great job servicing my vehicle. I've brought tires from there twice. I've had brakes, rotors and calipers done. I had shocks replaced, oil changes, tire rotations and wheel alignments and radiator flushes. The manager, Spencer, is one of the best people you'll ever meet!

I took my car in on 2/14/2025 to have all 4 tires replaced. My appointment time was 10am, but since I arrived early, they took my car back early. Once they were finished with my tires, they brought it out and I did a walk around to check it out. All 4 of my rims were damaged! I spoke with a staff member to let him know they damaged my rims. He basically called me a liar and said they were already like that. I did have a minor scratch on 1 that was already there when I purchased the car 2 years ago. I was told that they would review shop cameras but he still stood by saying it was like that, trying to make me out to be a liar. I was told that they would call the following Monday, but never did. My husband stopped by that Thursday and found no one reviewed cameras and he asked for regional manager. To this day, no one has called about this matter. I would not recommend going to Mavis

We initially took our car to Mavis Tire located at 1160 Smallwood Dr Waldorf, MD on 12/17/2024 for tire inspection. After Leo, the shop manager, professionally inspected all tires, we agreed to purchase 4 Continental CrossContact LX25 premium tires at $239.20 each. While the car was on the lift, the mechanic recommended we get rear brakes pad set and rear gas shocks along with oil change, which we agreed to. We do have an invoice (**) to confirm this transaction.
Leo said the work would take a few hours to complete and should be finished before closing at 6pm. The invoice stated the work began at 2:43pm. We called the shop at 5:30pm while in Waldorf at our daughter’s home and they said the car was ready. When we (me, wife, and granddaughter – driver of the car) arrived back at the shop, they had not finished with installing the gas shocks – a loose bolt issue. Because the car was not finished yet and our granddaughter had a scheduled school appointment at 7pm 53 miles away, my wife decided to stay at the repair shop while I drove our granddaughter to school. Leo assured my wife and I that it would not be a long wait.
Fifty-two days later (2/6/2025), while our granddaughter was driving in Prince George’s County during school, the car experiences a catastrophic road emergency. We contacted Leo at Mavis Tire, and he requested we bring the car back to the shop. The rear gas shock absorber bolt(s) disengaged causing the car to steer out of alignment, impacting the rear tire clearance and wear. Of course, Leo’s mechanics fixed the problem that day! But again, we are not through yet.
A week later after the realignment and shock repairs were done at no charge, there was a rear tire leak where AAA road service was called for the car. Upon Leo’s recommendation the car was taken to another Mavis/NTB affiliate located near her school. After scheduling an appointment and waiting two consecutive days, Mavis/NTB completed their own car service package (check brakes, shocks, battery, etc.) and recommended replacing the tire – now diagnosed as side wall damage - along with brakes/rotor, alignment, and air filter totaling $997.94. I contacted the shop manager, and he hung up on me. The location of the damaged tire leak was never revealed.
Since then, I have repeatedly called Leo back to meet with him at his location to have the tire - treadwear of 3,145 miles - examined. The tire has a mileage warranty of 65,000. His shop assistant always picks up the phone as Leo is now never in the shop. I have left my phone number with the assistant, but Leo will not return my calls. We live 2 hours from Leo’s location, so driving there needs to be planned. To ensure safe driving on the road we needed to purchase a new tire - Continental CrossContact LX25 – at a cross of $279.47, for which we should be compensated.

I had a full set of tires replaced. I had one of them done last week and the other 3 done yesterday. The associate I dealt with on both occasions was fabulous. She took the time to explain details; what needed done and why. (1 of my tires last week was pretty much shot out). She also informed me that my brakes will soon need work. I usually go to Marietta Toyota for breaks. However, if Mavis can beat their offer I will stick with you all. Driving alone when the tire gauge symbol went on in my car. I noted an obvious tire leak, and still had an hour to get home. Unable to find gas station with a working air station, I drove to Mavis and they thankfully were open on a Sunday. The staff was extremely friendly, quickly fixed my tire and no charge! Mavis store #1395. On or about 10/10/24 I had my 07 Chevy Silverado truck repaired by Mavis Discount Tire in Mountain Top. The service manager Rob I told him what was the problem with the fuel line and I wanted it replaced. The second problem was that it was hard to put fuel in the gas tank at a gas station the gas pump would keep shutting off. And I want the old parts. I knew what the problem was. I gave Rob a copy of the GM Service Bulletin that I acquired from GM. It tells you what it is and where it’s located and the procedure to replace it. I show him what it looks like. The repair. 1. Replace a sensor on top of the fuel tank, which has to be lowered to accomplish the repair. Repair was not done. Instead they replaced parts that were already replaced and charged me for the parts and labor.
12/5/24. I confronted Rob. He said he’d have my old parts put back on, and won’t charge me. 12/6/24. Went back for my refund. Rob says customer service send me a check in the mail in the amount of $365.91. He would have the Fuel Pressure Sensor replaced at no cost to me cause of their screw up by putting the wrong parts on. 12/26/24 Morning. Rob says it was all taken care of. Never received a check. I waited over 2 weeks. He was going to call customer service to find out were the check is, and would call me. (Never Called).
12/26/24 1:05 PM. Rob tells me I’ll get the check next week after New Years' mid week. The second or third, he call them on Monday to see where it is. I asked, "If it isn’t here now what are you going to do." He Replied, “I’ll find out why and if not I’ll write you a personal check and I’ll take their check.” It will get handled for you I’ll make sure that this gets handled. “After New Years January 2 or 3, I’ll find out, I’ll call down on Monday to see where it is and I’ll call you.” 1/9/2025 11:16 AM. Rob from Mavis Tire called and told me that he can’t give me the refund of $365.91. That all he can give me is $70 cash but he’ll make it $90. They are not BBB Credited even though the sign is on the door. To me that's false advertising. This how they treat Veterans.
Dear Vic, our Regional Manager, William, was able to investigate your claim extensively. It was confirmed that you came to us with an issue where your vehicle would continually 'stop' after you would pump gas into it. You asked our location to investigate that particular issue and provided a bulletin to us from General Motors that cited that the canister close valve would cause that issue. Our location then installed a new canister close valve, with your consent. You then returned to the location to advise that in the same bulletin it cited a potential fuel tank sensor pressure issue. However, that only occurred if your light came on, which luckily yours did not. The second job (fuel line sensor), wouldve costed $90 less than the canister job you needed so as a courtesy, a $90 refund was issued to you at store level. That would be the most we can offer in terms of resolution as we performed the work that you authorized and we didnt perform the work that was not necessary. We truly appreciate the opportunity to dig into this for you!

Mavis employees recognized a concern I had about leaving my wheelchair bound husband too long so they had an employee drop me home until the car was ready. My experience with Mavis tires in Birmingham Al Lakeshore store was outstanding. I was having a major issue about some tires that I purchased with NTB but due to the buyout or merger also the date of my tire purchase the information about the tires that I had previously purchased could not be found. I brought my car to Mavis in Barnegat NJ to get an oil changed and the mechanic took the car out and got into a accident then Maviis covered it up and then they told me to go on marketplace to get tires and rims for 400 and I said no. I asked for their insurance and they said they don’t have it. I call corporate and they did nothing. Finally I email the vice president and he say they will take care of it, he told me to call the regional manager which I did. He said he can get the estimate cheaper and take care of the car. When he found out the mechanic they used was more money they refused to pay it. They told me to used my insurance. That’s how they treat a 63 years old women. I just hope no one does that to their mothers.

Our Assistant manager took the car in and did an oil change, as your son instructed (the vehicle also had a check engine light on). I went to Mavis after a good amount of price/service research online because I knew I needed tires and probably needed brake work done. I had shopped and chose tires using the Mavis tire selection function but found it somehow made an error which was caught by Mavis service personnel and corrected with no change in quality or price to me. My 4 tires were mounted and installed faster than the service desk estimated. The complete safety check did indicate that I needed brake work on both axles so I arranged to come back the next day when the needed parts would be onsite. Once again my brake work was completed in less time than originally estimated. I must say that I am extremely happy and very satisfied with the products provided and the service provided by the service desk personnel and especially the shop floor technicians!

Went there got 2 tires, it was a good price, but when I got the tires, it was not balanced correctly, hit 60 mpg. The car was shaking like crazy. Went there the second time, wait 2 hour, don't know why my engine hood was open considering I only need a tire balance. They told me my car was all set, drove it down a block, heard a loud bang as if the axle broke, pull the car aside in the parking lot, realize I was missing 1 lug nuts and the rest wasn't torque down. Check the other side, same thing, the center cap was missing.
Finally got home, torque it down myself. Went back, they told me they forgot the center cap. I said no worries, took the car for a drive at 50 mpg. The car was shaking worst than before. Not sure if they know what they are doing, look at the wheel there was at least 15 weight on both side which is very odd. Fed up with the situation, went to a different shop. They rebalance the correct way, told me they could balance one tire, said there was something rattle in the wheel. Come to find out my tmp sensor was broken and I had to pay 130 out of pocket. Which would never happen if they done it correctly, on the side, not my steering wheel was not alignment correct when not center and it pull to the left, if I kept the steering wheel straight. I am very disappointed with the service.

Paid for new brakes on my family member car, bought tires and a warranty which they said was a lifetime warranty. Took the car back because the tire was bad. They told us they didn’t sell us the tire and wouldn’t honor the warranty even though I had the receipt and I had to have the brakes redone at Firestone because Mavis didn’t replace the parts they said they did. Horrible experience.

I went to Mavis Tire located in Elkin NC for a screw that I found in one of my tires, I spoke to the gentleman at the front desk and told him of my problem and he said they would take care of it. I left Mavis Tire to go to a restaurant that was walking distance away. I returned around 15 minutes later and noticed that my hood was up on my vehicle in the service area, but my tire with the screw had not been taken off my vehicle. I didn't want anyone doing any work to my vehicle but fixing the tire. I spoke to the gentleman again at the front desk and he wanted to know when my oil had been changed last that there was very little oil on my oil stick. My vehicle has very high mileage and a sticker from another garage with mileage to be changed 500 miles later on the windshield. I told them to change the oil since it was that close and to rotate the tires also and the vehicle was raised to begin the service.
I was informed later that my front rotors where damaged my back brakes were 90 % worn and front brakes were worn and a tie rod was loose after they had taken all my tires off. I have never felt any vibration from my rotors, I haven't heard my brakes grinding or squealing and the vehicle drives great, I haven't had any cause to be worried about any of these issues. I was getting aggravated with the service because at this time it had been close to an hour, I told them I didn’t want anything fixed other than the tire and oil changed.
They fixed the tire with the screw, rotated my tires this taking close to an hour because they were trying to up sale me on items that were not an issue at this time and were working very slowly as to add time for labor charges, they never got to the oil change because I was frustrated with their service and didn't want to wait and longer with something that shouldn’t have taken no longer than 45 minutes for the tire, tire rotation and oil change. I have had good experience at Mavis tire in North Wilkesboro, NC but wouldn’t recommend this Mavis tire in Elkin NC.

Mavis Tire in St Augustine Fl (207) helped us tremendously! We were on vacation and over 100 miles from home. Heading to a cruise port. Tire had a problem, kept losing air. We located Mavis Tire in St. Augustine. Terry, the manager, was extremely helpful. He assured us that we would have the tire fixed or replaced and be on our way. It was an extremely busy Saturday, and all the bays were full. Jamie - a fabulous female mechanic - discovered the issue - we had a problem with a different tire than we thought. I've been going to Mavis for at least 10 years, recently they are very inconsistent with their services, I noticed they're always switching their staff and management which is the reason. When doing a simple oil change they don't check vehicle fluids or air filters I always have to ask them to do that, let alone reset for when oil change is due and sometimes don't even place a sticker on the windshield. I'm looking for another spot to do these simple services cause I lost my confidence with Mavis. On my last recent visit the manager had a negative attitude toward me that was icing on the cake.

This was my second time trying to get an oil change on a company pickup. I’ve been to two different locations, one in my hometown and one south of my hometown. Neither one had OW-40 oil in stock, but did offer to get it. The first time I made an appointment at 8am, arrived at 7:45. The store opened up at 7:59 got checked in and the employee let me know he didn’t have the oil but would have on the way. Sat patiently waiting until 9:15 but still no oil and several people in front of me having work done. Ended up leaving. Second visit today to another store to try again, no OW-40 in stock, employee said he could order it but I said no thanks, had a nasty attitude to start with and also was nasty himself. Mavis won’t have to worry about me trying a third time. See a lot of positive reviews, must have some excellent employees in these stores, unlike the two stores I visited!

it’s a shame I bought the tires there, just fixed the car and passed inspection, I figured I could bring the car to them to rotate my tires, wasted 1 hour, while they took the car apart in order to have me get something done that I didn’t need, in returned they mess something up and the the car is vibrating and now I had to go somewhere else and get that fixed. Terrible. They see a woman and they think you are stupid.

I stopped into Mavis Tire on Oriskany Blvd in Utica N.Y. & asked if they could remove a couple bolts that were frozen/rusted on a bracket on my car that I needed to remove to complete a project I was working on. I was informed that can't get involved in that. Really? An auto repair shop that can't remove two lousy bolts from a bracket? Was it too difficult for them? The task would have taken less then 30 minutes which may be why they couldn't be bothered. So I left & took my car to another shop who were more than happy to assist me. But that's ok, Mavis/Cole, because I will never ever set foot in another one of your repair shops again. And those two lazy pencil pushers behind the counter can watch as other potential customers drive by as they sip their coffee pushing paper around.

Summary to Part 1 on Google (I was so stressed while typing that, my apologies). The experience I had at this location was terrible. After paying for an oil change on Aug 18, I discovered that it hadn’t been done correctly, if at all, which led to several issues with my car. I’d never previously had engine or oil warning lights, but soon after, both came on. I returned to the shop on Aug 31 to address the issue and was advised to buy genuine parts to fix the Engine light that came on first, which I did, but this only made the problem worse.
They also replaced four tires without consulting me on the brand, then instructed me to pay in cash for a “better deal” on labor. The immediate day after, Sept. 1st, both Oil light and Engine light came on. Despite promises, I didn’t get a receipt until I demanded it on Sept 3. To which the supervisor confirmed and I saw first hand (on video) Oil was extremely low. Supervisor also confirmed there was no leak, and after that, the oil light did not come on after she supervised it getting done.
The supervisor eventually suggested I go to a dealership for repairs, which they should have recommended earlier, saving me time and money. At the dealership, they found faulty parts that Mavis had installed, which added to the problems. When I contacted Mavis’ regional manager, Michael **, for support, he repeatedly hung up on me, and my emails went unanswered. His defense was that his team “just tried to help,” which left me feeling deceived and overcharged.
Part 2 (Revised): Is it normal to avoid documenting services and then produce a vague receipt only after customers demand it? This experience felt like being conned rather than “helped.” I’ve provided proof of every interaction and timeline, but Mavis refuses to investigate further or even read the emails I sent to Michael ** and their corporate office. Please remember that customers are the reason for your business—treat us respectfully.
All I want is a refund for the faulty services and parts that were never properly installed. For anyone with legal advice, I have all documentation, including pictures, messages, and bank statements. Mavis, if you value your reputation, address this situation to protect future customers and refund me what I paid. Reference number: **.

Absolute worst experience I've ever had at a car shop! Filed complaint on Better Business Bureau. They have 2 stars out of 5 and thousands of complaints in the past year, 488 in the past 2 months. Brought my brand new vehicle in for an inspection. When I went to pick it up there was a deep scratch on my driver side door right smack in the middle! When I told the manager he asked the service person who worked on it and he just shrugged his shoulder and turned white then he denied it.
A lot of lies I had to deal with, first they said there was foam around the metal bar near the door where it would have been opened, that's a lie. There is no bumper of any kind. Then they said you could see everything from the camera; that's a lie. You cannot see anything when the car door is open nor can you see a quarter of the parking lot where my car was parked, then the regional manager Elizabeth who was rude from day one and never got back to me for 2 weeks, claimed that my collision guy said that it must have been a disgruntled girlfriend since the scratch looks like the letter g. She said they wrote that in an email to her - that was an outright lie because I went to my collision guy and they showed me the email they sent to her and all they sent her was customer came in with scratch done at Mavis and the estimate of $937.
I have Elizabeth on recording saying this and proof of it being a lie so I will be taking that to court with me. So she lied to me three times and this is a regional manager of Mavis! I spoke to three collision people and they all said they get cars that were damaged from this Mavis very often. In fact one of them is working on one with $13,000 worth of damage right now. Do yourself a favor. Take pictures of your car, a video before you bring it there. They are unethical, unprofessional and very rude to deal with! I have been bringing my car there for years. I just spent $3,500 on it two weeks ago and this is the treatment I get!

I have to say, I was skeptical when they advertised free brake checks. Bill greeted and helped me out. I'm not sure who checked the brakes, but all was done professionally and honestly. They said after 46,800 miles the brakes were at 20% worn in front and 40% in rear. I will definitely return next year and have them check the brakes and if needed to be repaired, I will let them just because of their honesty and professionalism.

My brakes were making horrible noises and I was quoted an outrageous amount from the actual Hyundai dealer to fix things that were “supposedly” wrong with my vehicle. I took it to Mavis and not only did they tell me all those things were NOT my issue, they saved me HUNDREDS of dollars and even went around the entire city looking for a part for my vehicle AND had it fixed….ALL ON A SUNDAY! Workers are always busy, however, mgr? is not a people person, he lacks ability to communicate with the consumer. He is good at office needs but he never said a word to me except when I went in for a quote. He did however, that Mavis tires were junk! He needs to go back to the wrenches and maybe send him to school so he can represent your company. Not cut it down. The young lady was more help than he. Got the car completed, proceeded to drive home to get a bad shimmy on front end, they rebalanced but no change. I would like the opportunity to have my car looked at a different location, if at all possible. To maybe correct balancing / alignment. The same fellow that bal. tires did alignment and I don't feel comfortable with this outcome. Please advise.

I dropped my car off on Saturday before I went to work. The person behind the desk told me that I could pick my car up on Sunday morning when they opened at 9am. Sounded great to me! So Sunday morning rolled around and I got a ride to Mavis and arrived there at 8:59, and one other person was there waiting. So I wait as well. Then it's 9:10, then 9:20, then 9:30. I called their customer service line and the person there tried to reach the manager and then the so-called, "Regional Manager." and they said they can't reach anyone. Well I can't go anywhere because my car is locked up inside and I can't leave.
So I had no other choice but to keep waiting, 9:40, 9:50, still no one arrived. I called back again, and they STILL can't reach anyone to get someone here to open the door so I can pay and get my car. The clock strikes 10 am and still no one from Mavis is there! I've waited outside for a literal hour! Then at 10:10 am, FINALLY someone pulls in wearing a Mavis dress shirt and runs to open the door.
I ask him what the hell is going on and he's even more confused than I am! He was an employee from another store that was called in on his day off and asked to come open the store. He cashes me out and gives me my car and I ask him to be compensated for the hour of my time that I spent just waiting outside and he says I will have to call the actual manager, Nate, on Monday as he doesn't have the authority to do that. Fair enough. How was the work on my car? Great! Couldn't be better! My new brakes work perfectly and I can't complain one bit about the work they did. My customer service experience? AWFUL!!! I will NEVER go to a Mavis store ever again. Avoid at all costs.

I made an appointment at the Lecanto Florida location. My appointment was for 2 pm to get an oil change. At 2:30 they still had not pulled my car in. There seemed to be enough service people just standing around and visiting with each other. At 2:30 I told the front desk person I had to leave because I had scheduled other appointments for my day off. He gave me my keys and gave no explanation for the delay. I was very disappointed. This was my first visit to Mavis tire.

Do not use Mavis at all. I went in with 5 tires and asked for 2 new tires and a wheel alignment. When I picked up my vehicle I only had 4 tires. Not sure why they tried to keep my spare. When I drove out I immediately felt my tires shudder. Went back and would not leave till a manager took a road test with me. Upon returning I asked how they were going to fix the situation. The manager just told me they would refund me and there was nothing they could do for me so I left in worse condition than when I went in. Went to another shop where they did a wheel alignment which fixed Mavis's sloppy work.

Was overcharged for 4 tires back on Sat., 8/3/24 from the original amount shown on the website and in my reservation confirmation (for the record as of today the website still shows the lower amount) I sent an email right away on Mon., 8/5/24 to customer service addressing my issue and asking what I needed to do to get a refund. After no response, I sent a 2nd Request on Wed., 8/14/24 asking for someone to reach out to me regarding my original email request. Again, no response.
I went to the local store in person the following week on Wed., 8/21/24 and when the individual who was arguing with me ran out of excuses he told me I would have to talk to the manager, he was only an asst. manager and didn't have the authorization to do anything about it. The following day Thur., 8/22/24 I reached out to the corporate headquarters customer service number and was given their email address to forward my original email request for them to review, I was told they would research it, and I would hear back from someone. I was thinking OK I'm finally going to get some answers, but nothing, so I ended up sending another request to Corporate after 2 weeks with no response and that was Thur., 9/5/24.
To this date, over a month later, I still have not received any communication from either the local store or corporate, so I guess neither cares about customer Service. If it were only a minimal amount, I wouldn't have said anything but it's a total of $48 (plus tax) that I was overcharged and I feel the least I deserve is a response from someone. If they can show me where my information and calculations are incorrect then that would be the end of it. But no one has ever attempted to assist me regarding this issue.

A customer for 20 years, I find a new, less competent staff each time I engage for service. It took twenty minutes to find my profile, with several confused attending the call. To replace a tire they ordered took two days without any one staff following the service. I received a call reporting they had lost my vehicle key. The manager, Steve, was dismissive and aggressive in response to the confusion and delays. While the location is convenient for me, I am forced to find a service provider that retains proper customer service staff, and can consistently offer courteous, reliable service. Rates and delays, not to mention confused, unprofessional staff are the reasons to go elsewhere. Save yourself time, money, and needless stress.

My tire was losing pressure. Mavis Tire explained the process involved and a patch was suggested. Tire was removed, patch applied where a large screw had punctured it. Tire replaced and balanced. Professional and speedy work. Good service. I am to return after 25 miles for a retorque check of lug nuts and bolts.

They took me right in and was very courteous and professional. Work was performed on my 2023 BMW X-3. After the tires were put on they checked to see if I needed an alignment. I didn’t think it needed it, but yes, it was needed for the long for the long-term of the tires. I would recommend Mavis Tire on Kidder Street to all my friends.

I am quite pleased with Mavis Discount Tires. I take my vehicle there whenever it's needed. I bought my tires there so it's free tire rotation when I need it. Their prices are competitive. I can schedule my appointments online, which makes it convenient. I get my oil changes, too. The dealer overcharges and takes too long for just an oil change. At Mavis I've never waited over an hour for an oil change but at the dealer I had to wait 3 hours even when I had an appointment. I definitely recommend Mavis. The staff are kind, courteous, respectful and knowledgeable about the services they provide. I feel confident that my car is in good hands here.

I bought Michelin tires from Mavis tires on Ogechee Road in Savannah, Ga. They were mounted wrong way (tire rotation in the opposite direction on 2 of 4 tires). I had problem with my ABS and I took my SUV to a specialist mechanic who repairs foreign cars. They pointed out the problem and advised me to get it fixed or else my tread will wear out quickly so I took it back and the manager had a horrible attitude to start with. She said that "who told you that they are not mounted correctly?"
She then proceeded and called the specialist and had a few words with them. She mumbled that "she hates her job" and that she is looking for some other work. Then she mentioned that the mechanic who mounted my tires does not work over there and it was not her fault and she is going to refer me to a different Mavis tire to get my problem fixed. Is it my fault the the tires are not mounted correctly? I am a physician and have no knowledge of cars. To make a long story short, I had a horrible experience with Mavis tire and would never return there again.

I set up my appointment with Larry and he helped me during the process of my service and the end of it. He has good staff. At first I thought it would be a hassle since NTB has passed hands and companies. I am glad that with Mavis it gives us lifetime warranties on break pads. And not like in the past. He also honored my veteran discount as NTB did in the past. I was elated after he reassured me from past hurdles.

Recently, I brought in my daughter’s 2012 Honda Accord to check why the engine light was on. The person told me the mechanic would be there a couple of days later. They said the front tire was in dangerous condition. He then said I needed to get all new tires which was not true. I went on with it. 2 Days later mechanic said I needed 950$ repairs from the engine light. By then I was skeptical. I took it to Coggin Honda and paid again for diagnostic and they said that there were no issues. I went back to Mavis Ocoee manager, Moony and told him and asked for 167$ for diagnostic test refunded, they would not. I will never go back to Mavis. Also, you CANNOT write a review on their site.

It started with a great experience calling the center and getting specific and knowledgeable input from a tire tech consultant who knew the info I was looking for and answered in detail. I was then able to make a better decision on my selection. Tires were delivered to the dealer who was ready and started the job on time. Their work crew was far superior to what you see working at other tire dealerships and show their dedication to their job. The tech who did the wheel alignment was precise and meticulous. The car was road tested. From start to finish, it was well under an hour from start to finish but the job was not hurried. These people worked like an Indy pit crew knowing their job and accurately performing it. The proof was in the 75 mile ride home. Worth the trip! This is the place that sets the bar for standard a customer should get and does get when they go there.

I’ve been going to the Murfreesboro location (once NTB) for 20 years or so with random vehicles. I’ve seen numerous techs and managers go in and out of that place. I’ve only been disappointed once. Apparently only one shop will touch a Subaru, so I take my Subie elsewhere. All the other cars, including my “classics” come here for tires, service, and repairs I’m unable to do myself. There were a few times they let me pick my tires in the storage area, check tire dates, and safely let me check the underside of my used purchases (never could go underneath but got close enough to satisfy some concerns). As an avid car guy, I appreciate these courtesies. If I could recommend a service: proper headlight adjustment as part of a service package or separate service.

WHAT A SHOP!!! On Sunday I was lucky enough to get to the Mavis garage in Sunrise before my tire went flat. What an awesome store!!! I was able to drop the vehicle off, and get to work, at Amerant Bank Arena in time for my shift. The second part of the story is the car was ready when I got out of work. The three things that popped to me about that location were... Friendly staff, clean surroundings and excellent work! I just wish they were closer to where I lived.... They may be shortly though... There's a Tire Kingdom across Federal Highway, right by my neighborhood!!

I honestly had a good service with Tire Kingdom. Was travelling through Florida headed back home. The tire pressure light came on and I found this place. They got me in without an appointment on a Saturday, made me feel welcome, educated me on the "TPMS" function, congratulated me for my prompt action in getting off the highway and seeking action, and kept me updated in the whole process. I was treated so well there that I looked up the closest Tire Kingdom where I live, and plan to give them a try when I've the need.
Seth was quick witted and knowledgeable, and Stephen is very informative and excellent at deescalating the situation. His calm demeanor and Barry White radio voice soothes you. He is just so calm and takes all the anger from the stressful situation, packs it up, and sits it to the side. You end up looking at him, looking at the situation, then calming to his level.

Isaac ** the store manager of the Ossining shop has to be one of the most helpful and caring workers I have ever encountered at the various locations in which I’ve used as a longtime customer of Mavis Tire. He make sure all of my concerns are taken care of and just also a very pleasant person to deal with. Mavis in Graham has always been respectful. I went in the first time with a flat so they got a new tire and the second time I came in with a bubble in one of my tires they got me in and put within an hr. I will be going back when I need the 2 other tires replaced.

I have been using Mavis, several locations, for several years with no issues. Last month I needed a battery and alternator. The work was completed rapidly however the alternator belt was never checked and the original was put back onto the new alternator. After driving for a day I started to hear a noise. When I returned it to Mavis I was made aware the belt was never changed As I expected. I questioned their practice but was not provided an explanation and had to purchase a new one for $90. This seems a little unfair. You would think if a alternator is replaced a belt would go along with it. Not sure if it's just me that feels this way but if you ever need an alternator replace that Mavis please do demand that they provide a new alternator belt as well.. They took a really big chance that the original belt would not break and leave me stranded somewhere. This review would be a lot different if that was the case.

It always happens at the worst time, but Anthony made me feel like I was doing this for the safety of myself and family. He gave me his honest opinion and help in deciding which tires to go with. Around 4:30 on a Saturday evening is the worst time to have a flat tire. Not only do most shops close at 5:00, but tires for a Model Y Tesla are hard to find. After calling around 4 or 5 places (none had my tire size) it was suggested by one shop to call Mavis. Called them and they actually had my tire. Even had 4 of them. Told them I was at that point about 15 minutes away (it's now about 4:45) and they said they would wait for me. I pumped up the tire and watched the pressure as I drove there. They were waiting for me as I drove in. Jonathan got the job going and even said they would do a second front tire if I wanted to keep the tread depth the same on both fronts, which I did. He and his team were wonderful. They finished about 20 minutes PAST their closing time. And the price was very reasonable. Definitely recommend them for tire service.

I was around when Mavis Tire on Battleground Ave in Greensboro, NC was in construction. I wondered what this place would be unaware of what business was actually coming. Well, today I was able to experience exactly what this place would be for the community. The staff Del and Taurus were the best in customer service that I’ve experienced at any shop. They understood what I needed, made sure to help me in every way to not only obtain the best service in town but to also make sure that I could afford to have the service completed.

The folks at Mavis (Seabrook NH) were terrific. They offered expert guidance on which brake service was needed, versus service that was not needed. This honesty is very important, as my dealership recommended service that was unnecessary and would have doubled my cost. Mavis' service was prompt and done right. Had a negative experience in the Hamburg Mavis Tire a few years back. Started going to Jack Williams. I was disappointed when Jack was bought by Mavis. Went to the Hazleton location this time and was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman in charge was very polite, friendly, and respectful. Kept me updated, helped me resolve an issue with my order and the price wasn't terrible. About $700 for 4 new quality tires and an alignment. Planning on going again.
