    I was browsing their website for tires and I filled out a form for a price match for a Goodyear tire. The initial price for the tire was 94.99 and they had an installation discount running so the total price of the tire was going to be 113.98. Well I price matched on WM for 74.85 for the same time so I filled out the form and eventually received a call. I was told they could match the price of the tire plus the mounting fee so it would be 94 plus tax. I decided to think about it and call back.

    After shopping around, I decided I would take that offer but when I called back I didn't have the original extension so I just went through the main number I was told they couldn't PM that price because it was a Walmart rollback and the best they could do is 103.99 + tax which wound up being the original price. I told him I wanted the original price I was quoted but he said there was nothing he could do and I was told to just call the extension of the original person I talked to which I obviously didn't have. Bad customer service and a huge waste of time.

    We were long time customers of Sun Tire here in northern Florida. Mavis recently bought them out, I was hoping that we'd like Mavis the way we did Sun. We absolutely did... Went in for something simple, just needed a leak repair. Made an appointment, showed up about 15 minutes early. Manager said they could get me in really soon. Within about ten minutes, my car was back being worked on, and about twenty minutes after that, it was done. Manager said that there was a nail in the tire and that they'd patched it. I mean the front manager is a nice dude but the manager in the service at that store I found to be not a reasonable person.. This Mavis on Jericho Turnpike is the best so far.. I told him and he says, "I can beat that price."     Experienced severe wobbles when rotors heated up after Mavis installed new rotors & pads. Mavis replaced and same issues again. Brought back and was told it was the strut not brakes. Was told to buy strut at Mercedes and bring back for Mavis to install. Cost of strut $500 and not returnable. Did not buy strut and asked Mercedes for diagnostic. Not the strut, the rotors once again were bad. Changed the rotors at Mercedes cost $880. Went back to Mavis, they gave me full credit of approx. $350. This involved 5 trips to Mavis not including time at Mercedes.

    Glad to get the credit and had to deliver old struts back to Mavis, but no sorry for your inconvenience and the aftermarket product appears to not hold up to the needed temperatures that Mercedes produce. Would advise those with certain cars to inquire beforehand before having a rotor replacement done at Mavis. I attempted to e-mail Mavis owners, but have not heard back. Had I listened to the Mavis desk person, who btw left 3 days after he told me to come back with the paperwork from Mercedes, I would have wasted another $500 on the strut which was not damaged.

    I went to Mavis Tire because my car needed an oil change and the yearly inspection. The mechanic took care of the oil change and then told me that the car needed about $1200 worth of work to pass inspection: new tires on the driver side and new struts. I was really surprised because all of the tires had been replaced during the year. I couldn't afford a bill this high and put off having the inspection for 3 months (a no-no, I know) while I saved up. After I had the funds available I decided that if significant work was needed I'd go to the dealership to have genuine Honda parts installed. After the car was thoroughly checked, the customer service came out to tell me that all was fine, the car passed inspection without needed any work at all. The bill: $37.

    I went to Mavis Discount Tires at 865 S Central Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583. I called before I arrived to the location for inspection. Ken the store manager took my vehicle information and explained to me that I must wait for my car outside the store. All 8 of their chairs were turned down on the floor. I was the only customer in the place of business having service done. I asked for a chair to be placed outside the front entrance, because I just had a new born baby and 9 vaginal stitches without pain meds. Ken stated he was told by higher managers not to allow anyone from sitting. I stood outside for one hour and while waiting for a customer service to call the Scarsdale location to have Ken place a chair outside with a plastic.

    I watched Ford stand around the main desk on his cellphone and Ken take a test drive 2 miles with a customer in his Audi. When Ford called me inside to pay for my vehicle, I approached Ken to asked him if a customer service rep called him about placing a chair outside for me. Ken said, "No" and kept looking up the guy with the Audi tires while the owner was waiting inside. I paid for my vehicle and went back outside for my car to be taken out the shop. After calling back customer service a third time, I was told a manager would get back to me in 48 hrs. No call back was made, so I called Mavis Discount Tires on 4-1-2020 and no manager was available.

    I purchased 2 tires from Mavis. I didn't have the tires mounted on my vehicle at all. 3 days later I take my vehicle in to get the tires mounted at another shop to find that my rims were in rough shape due to corrosion. I go back to mavis to return the 2 tires I bought and was told they had to contact the regional manager for approval. Apparently this will take 3 days? The service advisor was just brushing the situation off and refused to contact the manager in front of me. Not sure why I can't return the tires. They were never mounted on my vehicle.

    Brought in for an inspection. Failed it because of the rotors. Car is 2 years old and has 30000 highway miles. I wouldn't let them replace them. They yanked my sticker.     This was the worst service I have ever experienced and the NTB crew needs to be brought back. On 03/02, I call and schedule an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. The appointment is scheduled for 2pm. I drop my car off at 1:40pm and try to get set up in the system with an individual who doesn't speak the best of English. I go next door and wait until 3pm. I come back to the store at 3pm and my car still hadn't been taken in for the oil change. A gentleman tells me that, "they don't have their systems fully up and running or their scheduling." Funny how my appointment was scheduled for 2pm.

    It's now 3:30pm and I'm approached my another employee about how I have 1 bad tire and need rear rotors and breaks. I tell them to go ahead and replace. It's taken 2 hours for this to happen. I leave and ask that they call me when it's done. It's now 5:45pm and still no call. My husband takes me back to the store and as I'm walking in right at 6pm (store closing time), a gentleman states he just tried to call me. I'm up there to pay and YOUR machines are not working. I tried 2 cards and both were declined. Three employees are standing there staring at me like this is my fault. I'm told IT is closed. I'm told to come back the next day. I refuse and offer to pay with a check.

    Tuesday morning I'm on my way to Madison and then Milwaukee. I'm on the interstate and about 65mph and my car is shaking so bad, I can't even go the speed limit of 70. I call the store and get the gentleman that doesn't speak English well. He advises I need to bring the car back for them to "check" it. I said, "This is ridiculous, no thank you." Even more upset than I was on Monday when my car was in the shop for over 4 hours.

    Today I take my car to another place of business where they show me that I have a bad right tire. I look at the tire and it looks JUST like the one I saw on Monday at the Janesville store. So your store replaced the incorrect tire on my car and charged me for balancing but clearly the tires were not balanced. I am now $600.00 deep in this car when all I wanted was an oil change and tire rotation. I'm so PO'd about this and I want my money back. I missed 2 half days of work trying to get my car back in order before I brought it into your store. I also don't understand the invoicing. Why am I being charged tread wear of $21.00? I would like a full refund of $480.06 or I will be disputing the charge.

    After for a treat getting out to Mavis tires for a price comparison they assured me they could beat any price on the web, upon my return to the Franklin Avenue store with a lower price. They gave me an appointment and ordered my tires, on the day of the appointment I left early from work and called me was only to find out that the tires had not arrived yet. They told me they would call, I never heard from them again that day.

    I called the next morning and asked again, they told me they would give me a call, I never heard from him again, day three I called still no response except that they would call. Therefore I called corporate and filed a complaint, that was Saturday past, today is Tuesday 3 PM and still no response from Mavis Corporate, I don’t understand. I’ve called the store numerous times, I asked if they were going to deliver, they keep repeating yes. I could’ve had my tires delivered three times by the online competitor by now..     On 2/26/2020 I WAS VISITING my hometown of Syracuse NY. I had a tire failure and proceeded to call Mavis Discount Tire 2527 South Salina Street. My order was **. I talked to ** who gave me a price. I asked him if that included tire transfer to my rims and spin balance which he assured would be included and all a part of the agreed on price. He made an appointment for 9am two days from the day of my call which was 2/24 and assured me my tires would be there. I arrived shortly before 9am and told ** I had an appointment for 9:00am. He stated I had many before me. I was in no position to get a ride home. My tires did not arrive until after 10am. My truck was put into a bay but sat for quite a while.

    I asked ** the assistant manager a few questions and asked if they could do an oil change and check my brake light bulb. ** assured me they would. I wish the guy working on my truck was as motivated and honest as **. The guy working on my truck could not find his impact wrench for some time and when he finally did it took him forever to get my tires off and back on. At 1:30pm my truck rolled out front. ** told me the oil change was not done nor the bulb checked. He was quite apologetic and frustrated. He offered me an oil change in the future. I told him that I know it was not him causing the issue and that I have been a boss also. I was just grateful to be able to head home safely.

    I take the Throughway often due to my family living in Syracuse and My living in NH. I was no sooner on route 90 east and my truck shook all the way home for 6 hours. On Monday upon arriving home I called Stratham Tires and made an appointment to check my tires. They called me out into the garage area to view my tires and rims. The weights on the rims were rusted and were way off balance. They turned out to be the old wheel weights from my replaced tires. That cost me $60 which was supposed to be done at Mavis. The icing on the cake was I check and set my mileage and mph on my dash... My oil was set to 100%. The mechanic wanted me to believe the oil change was done. ** found this not to be true and did not charge me but what the hell. This mechanic needs to go. I am a retired Deputy Sheriff and it's not too hard to figure out this guy is a useless tool. Someone owes me $60...

    I have gone to Mavis for multiple cars and multiple jobs. First of all Taiga tires are horrible and they went bald in 30000 miles from light driving. I go for an oil change. They do not change my oil filter nor rotate the tires after they told me did. Yet the brake dust is still on the front rims only? They replace my alternator and run a wire in between metal in the front which caused it to cut the wire. I sent my van there to have the starter checked. A $50 fee and they told me the battery terminals were loose so they tightened them way too much...They were never loose...The real problem was the wire was cut that went to the starter ..so exactly what did I pay for? The struts they installed in my car make noise and I was told by other mechanics but Mavis technicians just say they don't hear anything.

    The wheel hubs went bad in hardly any miles that they replaced. When you call corporate you get some distant minded unprofessional call center rep that just forwards you to the Mavis location...What exactly is your purpose? This place has seriously disgusted me. A tech was suppose to have the area manager call me... NEVER HAPPENED! And not only that Mavis seriously does not know how to do an alignment. After trying many times they say my car is defective...I took it to Firestone and it drives straight as an arrow. Too many bad experiences with this company. They may have slightly better prices but you get what you pay for and they need your car for many days to not be able to repair it correctly. What I am typing here is all true. You will see for yourself. Thousands of dollars I will not spend with them ever again.

    This place is the worst. I went in to have brakes replaced and mentioned I was having electrical issues and was going to the dealership after they were finished with the brakes. One of the mechanics thought that it might be that I needed an alternator after hearing about the issues I was having so I agreed for them to test it. Later that afternoon they called and said yes, I needed an alternator and that should fix all the issues. They replaced the alternator and brakes but never actually checked to see if the issues were resolved. I had an appointment so could not leave my car that day.

    I called as soon as, I got home I called back and the manager, Jim who heard the entire original conversation encouraged me to bring the car back to them so that they could fix it. After having my car the better part of 5 days, they could not fix it. They put a part in my car, I did not need. They are liars and thieves. I escalated this to corporate and Ebony ** was supposed to call me 3 different times. I never heard from her, rather she told Jim to tell me there was nothing they could do. Take your car to this company at your own peril.

    If selecting no stars was an option I would choose it. I had brought my 2012 Nissan Rogue to The Mavis in Schnecksville where I had a rear differential replaced (very expensive fix). After leaving Mavis my vehicle continued to have problems. Although not as severe as when I brought the vehicle, it was still not running correctly. On multiple occasions I brought the vehicle back to Mavis and let them know that since I had left the vehicle was not working correctly. Every time I had brought the vehicle back to this location I received terrible customer service and was brushed off as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I then had no other choice but to have another mechanic look at it. He then verified it was the differential that had been replaced and that I should return to fix Mavis for them to fix it.

    YET AGAIN the gentlemen at Mavis told me is not the rear differential and that I should return to the mechanic I had taken the car too so he can reinspect the vehicle. On multiple occasions I have tried to have mavis re look at the vehicle without avail. They have been no help to me. Since I have no choice but to fix the vehicle I have recently had to take the Vehicle to a Nissan Dealership to get a diagnostic done on the vehicle (140$). Lo and behold the issue is the REAR DIFFERENTIAL. After investing 1,000's of dollars in this vehicle and mavis I have been chasing my own tail for too long. Enough is enough. I know I am a woman and may not know much about vehicles but I should have never been brushed off the way I was.

    To fix my vehicle I will need to invest a few more thousands of dollars to fix a part of a vehicle that was never fixed properly. VERY POOR WORK AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. Also I called Mavis they told me they are unsure if they can help me. I am at my wit's end. This is enough!!!! I purchased 4 tires with warranty. A month or so later got a puncture in my tire. Mavis would not replace tire because I did not drive it long enough. Terrible work, very unhelpful and straight thieves. The way I was treated was terrible. They should be ashamed.

    I found Mavis Tire on the Internet while searching for tires. There was a local store in Valdosta, Georgia, which I contacted by telephone. I had already chosen a set of tires and was looking for a good price point. A "Bernie" quoted me a price of $ 781.51 for the total price of a set of four BF Goodrich G-Force Comp2 A/S P245/40ZR19 94W tires. When I arrived at the Valdosta location @ noon on 02/23/20, I found that this particular tire \]= was neither in stock or at their local warehouse. The "sales associate" did not honor the quoted price, attempted to upsell me to an entirely different tire (with half the tread life of the tire I specified).

    I expressed my displeasure at this "bait and switch" technique politely and attempted to use the facility air hose as to not totally waste a trip of an hour from home to dealership. Adding insult to injury, the air hose did not work and the "sales associate" made it clear that my failure to purchase the wrong tire at an inflated price made me of no interest to him. Unless this matter is satisfactorily adjusted by Mavis Tire, I will take my business elsewhere and relate this anecdote to anyone I know who is thinking of buying tires from Mavis Tire Company. APPALLED AT THE ENTIRE EPISODE!

    I'm a old shipyard mechanic but I've done many brake jobs, bearing replacements, etc. on my own cars. I came in for rear brakes and an inspection of the two tires I hadn't had replaced by Mavis in New York the month earlier. There was a brake special for $99 for two wheels. Perfect. After inspecting the vehicle, they called me to say that I needed 1 new rotor because of metal to metal scarring, 1 new set of calipers because the unit had seized, new pads and a "break line flush." The price was just a few dollars short of $800.00!

    A garage buys its parts from the same people you can, and they add a percentage of mark-up. Reputable garages will buy parts at a discount to save you money, even though it costs them some profit on their markup. A rear rotor for a Honda Odyssey is $25.00 to you and me, calipers are about $50.00 and brake pads are $25.00. The numbers I was quoted for these items were 3 to 5 times higher than those prices. There was also an extra hour of labor added to what was included in the $99.00 brake special. This is Middleburg, Florida. Our local guy who just retired would have charged maybe $300 at the most. Certainly not $800! And before he would charge you almost $200 for a new rotor, he would have just turned the old one... or just charged you $40 for a new one. They also told me that one of the suspect tires had a nail in it. I asked them to fix that, but skip the brake job.

    When I came to pick up the car, they had me sign some paper that detailed how they had told me of all the defects on my car and that I had refused service. They also didn't charge me anything because they didn't even fix the tire that I had asked them to fix. I did the brake job myself. The "bad caliper" was fine, no leaks and it returned easily to it's home position. The rotor was within spec thickness, so I left it but it did have some shallow scarring. Total cost to me: $34.00 and 20 minutes. (I would have replaced the back rotor if I were a business, for aesthetics, but as an option to the consumer since it's just the rear brakes which don't see the kind of wear the front brakes do. But not for an extra $300.) Then I inspected the tires. No patches and no nails. They are mounted on Aluminum rims so on cold days, they lose air. Then they will hold pressure for a week at a time.

    If they had just remounted the tires, and done a rear brake job and charged me $200 or less, I'd have been happy. Now I'm never going back again. And if YOU don't know anything about cars, YOU should avoid them too. Go find Orby.

    About a month ago, I called the Hopewell Mavis and spoke with Edward regarding needing two new tires on my vehicle as well as an inspection and oil change. Edwards was extremely kind and helpful in finding me the best price tires. He also suggested to me that I call the call center as they can get possibly work with me more on the price range and I was looking to staying in and he also informed me that the brand tires I was wanting would be able to be in their store in 2 days. I was very appreciative for his honestly and that he suggested this as I would have had no idea that was an option if he hadn’t.

    I called the call center and spoke with Sean I believe was his name. I gave him the size tire I was looking for, the brand and the type of my vehicle and Informed him I got two tires last year from them, as I have been a long time customer. He offered me two different kinds of tires that were in the price range for my vehicle. I questioned whether the tires he was quoting me were going to be compatible to my vehicle and match the other two tires I just got from you last year. He assured me yes. I asked why I couldn’t get the same brand tire as last time so they all match. He informed me that they either don’t make them anymore or he has no idea when they would be in stock again.

    I said, "When I spoke to Edward at the Hopewell Mavis, he said they did have them and could get them in 2 days." Sean advised me again that’s not at all possible because they don’t have them anymore. He kept rushing me off the phone and I couldn’t make a decision on the two quotes he gave me. I had a hard time because I wasn’t sure if they would be compatible to my vehicle and kept questioning it. Sean kept telling me they were compatible. So I did, and he booked the tire sale.

    About 5 minutes later, I received a phone call from Frankie at the Hopewell Mavis. He was very concerned about the order I just placed and immediately wanted me to know what happened. He told me he called the call center himself and told them that the tires they sold me were not at all compatible with my vehicle and they should have never of sold them to me. They were the wrong size tire completely and the tire they sold me was a summer tire. I drive a Grand Jeep Cherokee. Frankie made sure I was informed of the wrong information I was given from the call center and told me exactly what I needed on my vehicle.

    I was so thankful to him for his expertise. Because of this incident, Frankie went above and beyond to make up for the trouble and misinformation I was given from the call center. He helped me to get the tires I originally wanted and requested, got me the earliest appointment and took me in immediately for my appointment when I arrived and made sure I didn't have to wait which I was extremely grateful for. His costumer service was professional, courteous, extremely helpful, very knowledgeable and exceeded my expectations.     I brought my vehicle in on Sunday 2/9/2020 for a noise that was heard on the front left driver side. After being inspected they told us first the noise was a heat shield hitting the car at the back end. We were there just about a month prior for new tires ($900) and were told we should replace the axle and struts. Well having heard the noise they said my axle was leaking grease and that should be replaced. So after agreeing to have the driver side axle replaced, 2 front struts and 2 control arms replaced. Told us it would be done that evening. Got a call saying they had to wait for a part that would be in Monday morning. Called several times and was told it would be done that evening. When I got out of work at 4. I was told they had to order another part and it would be in in the morning. I had to arrange for transportation to and from work. Called on my break and was told it would be done that afternoon.

    My friend picked me up from work and drove me to Mavis where my vehicle was still on the lift not done. I was then told they were waiting on another part. At this point I had to have my friend get me a rental car so I can get around as needed. So Wednesday I get a call saying the vehicle is ready to be picked up. Yay! Finally! ($1500). I go after work and pick up my car and it wont even drive out of the lot. Check engine light is now on, and the car will barely move. I was beyond upset! They call me this morning saying that my vehicle had a preexisting problem and my differential was bad and blew my axle (which was just replaced). They can get a differential with over 1k miles on it for $750. Are you ** kidding me??? My car had no issues with the differential! They screwed up my car big time!!

    If they can't do the job right they shouldn't be doing it at all. So my car, which ran perfectly fine when it was brought in there now has major issues. This is not ok! I transport my kids in this car and they tried sending the car home with me worse than it was when I brought it in. I feel so manipulated by these guys who work in that building. And the one guy was very rude whenever I spoke to him. I am out lots of money and still no vehicle.

    In late January my 19 yr old daughter took her car to the Mavis Tire located in Concord NC to have a nail removed. They gave her a huge grocery list of things that were wrong with this car. They also told her that the oil cooler and radiator needed to be flushed. So the next day to the tune of $400.00 they were supposed to replace the oil cooler and flush the radiator. She got the car back and the oil pressure light was coming on after being driven for a few miles. The next day the car was taken back and the technician had broken the oil sending unit, and they were trying to say that the car had a blown head gasket. I paid them to replace the oil sending unit. I left with the car and I drove it to a qualified Volkswagen technician.

    After many diagnostic tests, the qualified technician doesn't get a positive test for a blown head gasket. So I began to call customer service, I am told several times that Paul who apparently is the district manager will call me by the end of the day. A week later, I have not heard from Paul. So I call back again, I am told that Lee who is apparently the regional manager will be calling me back. Lee calls and he is very pleasant to talk to, and I am thinking that hey now I am going to get somewhere with this. So I tell Lee what's going on, and he wants to speak with my qualified technician. I arrange this.

    The next phone call I get is from my qualified technician telling me that Lee was very rude to him, and states that pretty much there are conflicting stories, and that my daughter asked them to check the oil residue in the coolant, and that she asked for the repairs. But the grocery list that she was given when they were supposed to remove a nail from her tire reflects differently, and that ALL calls and conversations in the store are monitored. Well I call Lee back and I ask him to hear those audio recordings and I am told no that those recordings are for the use of Mavis Tire only. He was very rude to me and pretty much called me a liar in not some many words, but I have the grocery list of problems they found while they were supposed to be removing a nail from the tire.
