RECORD EVERYTHING WITH THESE PEOPLE - THEY PAY PEOPLE TO LEAVE GOOD REVIEWS. ***6/1/26 now have permission after NINE MONTHS. IRS. IRS has ruled I am not eligible for the tax credit due to project completion dates and pay out from the bank which occurred in 2026. Currently waiting for the IRS to amend my return without the credit then I can file a lawsuit in hopes of recouping some funds at no fault of my own. ***

System is still not operating as of 4/28/26 since 9/2025. Still not operating as of 5/3/26 since 9/2025. Still not operating 5/4/26 since 9/2025. Still not operating 5/5/26 since 9/2025. Still no operating 5/6/26 since 9/2025. Still not operating as of 5/11/26 since 9/2025. From start to (still not finished), this solar installation has been an absolute nightmare.

The issues began early and never stopped. Members of their crew were openly speaking negatively about the company on-site, which immediately raised concerns about professionalism and quality. The engineered drawings did not match what the salesperson, Jacob, presented on the day of the sale, including the layout they were supposed to install. It became clear very quickly that what was sold was not what was actually feasible.

During installation, my property was damaged including both the siding and the roof. While I was eventually reimbursed, that doesn’t excuse the carelessness. On top of that, the crew left trash and metal clippings scattered all over my yard and deck, creating both a mess and a safety hazard. The delivery process was just as bad. Pallets of materials were dropped directly in front of our only entrance days before Thanksgiving, blocking access to our home with no consideration or communication.

Communication throughout the project has been extremely poor. Tom, the project manager, called exactly once and that was only to inform me they needed to switch panel brands because “the factory caught fire.” Even then, the change order was documented incorrectly, listing the wrong panel brand. They have continued to be dishonest about timelines and paperwork. I was repeatedly told that permission-to-operate paperwork had been submitted, only to receive a call a month later stating it was just submitted on 4/15/26. As of now, I still do not have permission to operate, and this project began back in August.

The installers themselves showed a complete lack of professionalism showing up in Crocs and, on a second visit, using metal shovels on a brand-new metal roof to chop away ice, causing additional damage. This level of negligence is unacceptable. Sandra, the office manager, has been completely unresponsive and does not return calls. I have effectively had to manage and push this project forward myself every step of the way.

There were also major oversights from the beginning. They never properly evaluated our electrical service and later determined it needed to be fully replaced due to age and configuration. Even more concerning, the salesperson Jacob instructed the electrician to “bury the cost in the project,” which raises serious ethical concerns. The system they originally quoted couldn’t even physically fit on the roof due to sewer pipes and other obstructions something that should have been identified during the initial assessment. This is a fundamental failure in planning.

To make matters worse, the extended delays have now put me in a position where I am being audited due to the timing of the tax credits and questions from the IRS a situation directly caused by their inability to complete the project in a reasonable timeframe. Multiple staff members on-site openly described the company as chaotic and disorganized, which unfortunately matches my experience. The only person who has shown any level of professionalism and follow-up throughout this process has been Tal **. I was told the mad dash to complete projects before the tax credits expired caused this... Here's a simple thought - DON'T TAKE WHAT YOU CAN'T HANDLE.

Overall, this has been disorganized, unprofessional, and incredibly frustrating. What should have been a straightforward installation has turned into a months-long ordeal filled with mistakes, damage, poor communication, and questionable practices. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company to think twice.

Stay away from this company. Taking your money and never install a system. Signed a contract in May and in November still nothing happened. Contacted them a multiple times and nobody responded. Do not sign with them.

I hate writing this review because I know how serious the consequences can be — especially because it is backed by a fraud, unjust enrichment, and breach of contract lawsuit that I have filed against Empire Solar Solutions. I entered into a contract with Empire Solar with the belief that they would install a solar system properly and transparently. Instead, after many delays, defects, and what I allege was misrepresentation to my financing company, I had no choice but to file a lawsuit.

My goal in posting this is not to cause harm, but to help others be more thorough in investigating companies than I was. Please read reviews carefully, ask tough questions, and verify claims before signing any contract. (For transparency I’ve made the full amended court complaint publicly available here. It represents my side of the story; the matter is pending and has not yet been decided by the court. ** Thank you for taking the time to read my experience — I hope it helps someone make a more informed decision. I've posted before (the muddy one) and after (landscaped with retaining wall that I had to put in with a new contractor).
