I contacted a Walgreens location in Pensacola, Florida on 9th & Cervantes approximately 10 hours ago to transfer a prescription from a Georgia Rite Aid, to Florida for my son who is visiting his grandparents for the summer. I initially spoke with a very pleasant lady, who took all of my info, and then assured me that someone would contact me within 2 hours to let me know what the copay could be. Nearly five hours later, and no one had called, so I called again, and I was told by a gentleman that they were “still working on it,” but that my insurance had “done their part,” and they just needed to finish filling the prescription, but it would definitely be ready by 4:45pm, and someone would be calling me to give me the copay details... 4:45 came and went, and no one called. I called back 2 hours later, and the automated system said that they were “still working on my order”, and to call back in about an hour.
I hung up and called RIGHT back to speak to an actual person, at which point I was connected to an INCREDIBLY RUDE, and unprofessional pharmacist by the name of “Chris”. I did my best to explain my situation to Chris, but he is one of those people who allow you to get maybe 5 words in before loudly and rudely talking over and dismissing you. Chris blatantly lied and told me that they’d been waiting for ME to contact THEM because my insurance declined to cover the prescription-despite the fact that their OWN automated system had JUST stated that they were still working on it, and instructed me to call back in an hour, and despite the fact that my son has been on this prescription for years, and we’ve NEVER had an issue with Tricare (Military insurance).
He then proceeds to rudely tell me how busy he is, and that in the time he’s been on the phone with me (approx. 4-5 minutes by that time) he could have taken care of 40 prescriptions and that my expectations of someone calling me back were unrealistic... even though it was Walgreens own employees who had told me that someone would be calling. He made me feel as though my concerns were completely unimportant to him - as if I wasn’t ONE OF those customers who also needed their prescription filled. When I offered to call the insurance company myself to find out what the problem was, he “suddenly” saw an update in the system with indicated they were “working” with the insurance company, and that the automated system would probably be calling me back within an hour to let me know that the prescription was ready. That was 2 hours ago, and no one has called.
The sun has literally gone down, and my son still doesn’t have his medication, despite the fact that this process began this morning, and was supposed to take 2 hours at the most. I just called back a few minutes ago, and once again, the automated system is STILL saying “we’re still working on it, please call back in about an hour.” I then called again to speak with an actual person, and ask the name of the pharmacist on duty, and was told “Chris”, but when I asked for his last name, the woman on the phone asked “Where are you calling from?”
I told her I was calling from Georgia, and needed to know his name because I was about to file a complaint against him, at which point she said “Well, I can’t tell you my pharmacist’s last name,” which is fine, because once I file my official complaint with the corporate offices, I’m sure they’ll figure out Mr. Chris’ last name... not to mention that it’ll likely be printed on my son’s prescription label, IF he EVER happens to get his medication! Walgreens is a joke-of-a-pharmacy, and they have demonstrated to me unequivocally that they couldn’t care less about the needs of their customers. This is my first negative experience with them, and it will definitely be my last, because I’ll never patronize their awful store again!

I have been using Walgreens to fill 3 prescriptions every month for treatment of major depression that are necessary for me to be able to function. Without all three my depression becomes debilitating by increasing anxiety, suicidal ideation, sleeping problems and overreacting to any stress. My doctor faxed my prescriptions to the store and they insisted it never came, they said they would call my doctor which they did not, and this scandalous disregard for my health went on for 5 days until the missing fax materialized and the prescriptions were filled. No apology, no explanation and without my meds I decompensated reduced to crying, unable to take care of myself i.e. hygiene, eating, leaving the house.
But the latest Walgreens fiasco was their refusal to fill my prescription for ** after it was ordered and customer service verified it was filled. I went into the store and I was told it would be ten minutes, then I was told they did not have any more, I could go to another Walgreens, and after I asked for a partial refill they gave me 3 pills (1 day supply). The manager who was behind the register set a very poor example of how not to behave and continued her smug attitude by telling me the rest of the prescription could be picked up on Monday 3 days later. I paid for the 2 completed refills and the 3 pills. I was visibly upset by their treatment of me and left the store crying.
Of all the rude, mean spirited experiences I have endured in this store this was the worst. The callous disregard for customers who are depending on medicine to keep them healthy, the unprofessional and careless disregard for dispensing medicine and the rude, snide and inappropriate remarks by employees does not meet any standard of decency.
Walgreens' employees cannot maintain a level of professional, honest and unbiased behavior and because the store management tolerates endemic bad treatment of customers they should be investigated by a federal agency. Bad behavior is one thing but outright lies and deception should not be tolerated. Walgreens is a public health risk.

Dropped off prescription after waiting hour and half. Then they call. Say it was ready. I sent my dad pick it up. And they send him to three different stores two different towns. Their employee was mad because I complained waiting hour and half to drop off prescription. I ended up in hospital for 5 days with infection because I did not have my meds. Sending my dad three stores after they said it ready. Playing games with my life.

Walgreens denied me script of ** after verifying script with dr office and providing DL. Walgreens personnel are being allowed to be the police of people. If a person has a valid script, who is Walgreens, that supposedly serves the public think they are? This isn’t about pharmacists. It’s about allowing employees from a lousy chain decide other people's lives and that’s not their job. Will never step foot in Walgreens again!

The Cheyenne and Rampart pharmacy used to be a great pharmacy, up until they decided to start making the decision to stop filling my prescriptions. When I'm experiencing severe pain from old work injuries and a motorcycle head-on collision accident, it's not fair that they decide who receives their medication or not. I can completely understand that they have been cracking down on the usage of controlled medication, but when there's nothing else a patient can do to help eliminate the pain, it's like they don't care how much a patient will have to suffer without their meds.
Considering I'm on a fixed income and disabled, I'm not able to locate another pharmacy who will, especially only to discover that other pharmacies are refusing to refill my prescriptions. If they're going to start deciding who can and who cannot receive their much needed medication, then I am inclined to say that they will also be included in the discrimination lawsuit that will be filed. What's the purpose of running a pharmacy if a patient can't have their prescriptions refilled?

The pharmacist is very unprofessional. She writes notes on your hard copy prescription after you tell her don't write on it. Even if your insurance goes through she still won't fill it because she goes back and see how many times you got it early. She act like she is a doctor.

Went to get some pictures made today and management was called to the front to help me... She stayed by me for about a min or 2 then called a cashier to come help me. The cashier did not know much then she walked off and I had to ask a customer to please help me. The customer told me they have rude people that work in this store and they never want to help anyone. I found that out myself. I never complain before I just let it slide when I have been in there before today.
Today was the icing on the cake... rude and poor management. The management was called to the front of the store about 20 mins later as the customer was helping me with the pictures and she never came to the front to help a customer with questions she had about something that happened the day before with some make up sale. That customer was some hot... When I left I was not happy because I really do not even know if the customer and I did the picture order correct but when I go back to get my pictures if they are not right. I am not paying for those and I will go to CVS before going back there... That store should have been reported years ago... Someone should go in there with hidden cameras to see the way customers are being treated.

About 3 or 4 days ago I went to buy hearing aid batteries. I told the lady that I wasn't sure they were the right size and she said that you can bring them back. So they weren't the right size so I brought them back. When I brought them back they only gave me $5 and change versus $7 and some change... they shorted me $3. They gave me $3 in a gift card. He said this store policy... well I've never heard of that before. I had taken stuff back before and never had this problem. She said because of the reward $3 of the reward points went on the card and I'm like that's not cool. I said I had the receipt. I really bought in this to a few days ago and when I told the lady that the I don't know if these will fit she said I could bring them back.
She never told me I was only going to get back so much money and $3 of a gift card. I told her to take back the points. I also told her I don't shop at Walgreens. I don't need anything for $3 at Walgreens. This is totally a rip-off and I will never be going back to Walgreens. I am going to be posting this on Facebook. I'm going to be complaining. I am putting them on blast because this is total stealing from customers. $3 but they made out of my money that I paid money for... so if people don't end up using that $3 card and they have made out $3 that is stealing.

I ordered a prescription online on the 8th June 2018. Online asked for the prescription to be ready by 10 AM on the 9th, the online application concurred. I got to Walgreens about 11:30 AM on the 9th, but the prescription was not ready. I had to be somewhere by noon that day and could not return until after they closed. I left and since I'm on insulin, Walgreens by not fulfilling their obligation put my well being in jeopardy. I will be looking for a new pharmacy and will contact AARP as well.

I'm not surprised to see this many unhappy customers of Walgreens pharmacy; I'm now one of them. My mother was assured by her doctor while in the hospital that he would send her PX to Walgreens. THREE days after being released from the hospital she finds that Walgreens still has no PX for her. First she calls the automated line, which informs her there are no meds for her. Then she speaks with a rep at the store on the phone, who also tells her they have nothing there for her. Fortunately she received a courtesy call from the hospital when she got off the phone with Walgreens and she is able to tell them about her PX.
The hospital rep said she would call Walgreens immediately. Within minutes she calls my Mom back and said Walgreens told her, "Yes, we have a PX for Mrs **". What is going on with these people? This is not the first time she has had issues with them. She also has received robocalls in the past saying a PX is ready, but when she gets to the pharmacy they tell her they have nothing for her! Or she is told it is too early to pick up a certain PX because it was just filled the previous week (it wasn't). So what is a sick person to do? I'm extremely upset because they are playing with people's lives--this is completely unacceptable!

Walgreens Pharmacy at Pembroke and Mercury Blvd. - This place is a nightmare, they change prices at their convenience, are extremely rude, not professional at all. Walgreens needs to clear that staff out, and get some good help or this will be closed down soon.... Go the extra 1/2 mile and visit CVS, little more expensive but if you want to be treated with respect you will.

Phone recordings are poorly planned, annoying and waste too much of my time. Walgreens Pharmacy staff refuses to give cost unless they have a script. Others are more responsive and allow me to shop for lowest cost. Store stock is poor, although shelf is EMPTY if I ask they go in back and bring out what is NOT ON THE SHELF. Poor way to run a retail store. Often have lines at check out and slow to send someone to open another register. Pharmacy sends out phone messages for refills of one time prescriptions. Often out of advertised sale items on second day. When asked they say “That’s all THEY sent." Who is THEY? Wife was in store, asked if they had Flu shot. They said YES. Came home and got me (4 blocks away) when asked for a flu shoot they said “sorry no”. Can’t trust staff to be clear. To put it bluntly you can’t count on the Lombard store. Often disappoints.

After my doctor moved his practice I wanted to continue using Walgreens for my prescription needs. I have been a customer for about 10 years. I went to Walgreens store #6157 because it was closer to my house. I am taking pain medication due to several accidents and have been on Social Security Disability since October 2008. When I presented my prescription to the person at the pharmacy she made a comment that in the future this could be a problem because my doctor now practiced at an Urgent Care, that also provides family medicine. I was told that the nature of Urgent Care in her opinion should write prescriptions for a month. I was told that they would have to verify the prescription because I had never been to this particular Walgreens. They said that it would be about an hour and a half. I decided to wait. After about 30 minutes the pharmacist said that they were waiting for the doctors office to reply.
After another 45 minutes they said that they still had not received a reply so I called my doctor. They said that they had not received any requests. The pharmacist had contacted the office where my doctor previously practiced. He became visibly upset when I told him this. I gave phone to the pharmacist who at this point was becoming increasingly agitated. He said that he needed to have the doctors diagnosis and the treatment plan before he would fill the prescription. When the pharmacist returned my phone they told me that the pharmacist seemed to have an attitude. He then stated that he would not fill the prescription and hesitated on returning the prescription to me, I had to ask for him to return it. When I asked for his name he refused to provide it and said to call the manager.
I did not know that the pharmacist was able to make diagnosis and could question a doctors prescription. The same doctor that has been writing the same prescription for almost 8 years. I have filed a complaint with Walgreens and the California State Board of Pharmacy. I was shocked by the treatment that I received after the pharmacist laughed at me and flat out said that he would do nothing to help me. I am a disabled vet and was at the store with my service animal who was so traumatized by the pharmacists tone and behavior that the dog started to shake uncontrollably. I ended up driving about 14 miles to my previous Walgreen location and had my prescription filled within 10 minutes.

My husband is diabetic and needs take insulin every day. He ran out of his syringes and I went to Walgreens to buy them. The girl who waited on me said it would cost $100 dollars for 100 syringes. I have never spent that much before for his syringes. I ended up going to Walmart where it cost me around 14 dollars for 100 syringes. I told a number of people and they said to call Walgreens back and check since their price sounded wrong. I talked to the pharmacist and he told me it wasn't $100.00 but only $19.00. I almost gave this girl a hundred dollars because my husband needed his insulin. My husband has been very ill and this added so much more stress onto our lives. Be very careful when dealing with Walgreens. I will never go there again after this.

I picked up the prescribed medicine for my child. Without even telling me, the one (Adam) who gave me the meds also gave an old prescribed medicine which the doctor told not to take. As soon as I left the pick up drive thru, I noticed that and I called them to return. They said they can’t accept it. They should refund in such cases. They refused to take it back. Very disappointed for this reason. This is how they make money? By cheating customers? So unsupportive! Or they should ask when they hand over the medicine at least in those cases. If it would have been long, then I should not have asked. I just took the medicine.

I am a bone marrow transplant patient, for ease and convenience usually use Chronoscripts a Walgreens pharmacy. Today was an exception, my doctor at Sylvester Cancer Center in Miami submitted an electronic prescription at 3ish today for an antihistamine and magic mouth rinse to the Walgreens on SW 137 Ave. & 8 ST. Miami Fl. My husband went to pick up the meds at 8 pm, was told prescription was not ready, to go back in an hour - on the side the pharmacist made a comment to the pharmacy technician, said, "An hour was not enough time, we have too much to do, can't you see how much work we have?"
I waited over an hour and called to confirm meds were ready for pick up, calls are answered by a call center, the person told me the meds should have been ready at 7 and proceeded to transfer me to the pharmacy... ** answered, I provided my information and he said they didn't have any messages, I clarified the hospital always submits the prescriptions electronically, he checked & found it... but said it was the same prescription twice for the magic rinse, said they're unable to prepare it because the specifics were not provided. I couldn't believe my ears, I asked for the pharmacy manager, he said the pharmacist's name is **.
I expressed my discontent, not even a courtesy call was made to me, no regard for the client! A few minutes later as I had started to write this review, I received a call from the young men I spoke to, said they found the antihistamine prescription (like magic) and it was ready for pick up. In as much as I know it will help me pass this evening until I see my doctor tomorrow, I WILL NOT be picking up my med, it's now 10:04 pm est - not today, not ever. This is not my first terrible experience at this neighborhood pharmacy but I assure it's the last. Disappointed yet again.

Our family prescriptions have been filled at this Walgreens location (301 and Gibsonton in Riverview, FL) for 12 years. In the last 6 months or so, the overall management of the Pharmacy department has really taken dive downward. I must also mention that part of the problem can be speaking with a customer service rep at a centralized offsite location, even when you call the main number of the Riverview location.
Being told prescriptions are ready, then show up and they are not. Being told that prescription can be ready, then showing up and there are no longer refills. The CSA should know this when we spoke. Then the medicine must be ordered. This is not a good thing when it's seizure medication for my son. Thankfully, we had a backup supply from the doctor. Drive-thrus not working properly. My license and HSA card got stuck in the tube, I had to return to work, so they needed a few hours to get it out. That meant I left without my ID or HSA debit card. Staff not being consistent on having me show ID or not. Staff not processing my Rx under my insurance and automatically applying a discount card. My son's medicine can be $1000. I want to pay the full amount so it goes against my high deductible. Using the discount card cannot be used with insurance. This happened a few months before I caught on.
Turnover in staff has shown that training has not been given to new staff. Short staffed on many occasions. This location sees a lot of traffic all times of day. It is on a major corner of 2 major roads along with a growth in the area last few years. Again, saying they can fill my Rx, then going there to find out they are out (miscommunication between the central contact center and local store staff). Then, they must find the medication at another location and plan to drive across town. could go on and on, but you get the message here. Lacking of staff, leadership, communications. They need to look at their overall interfacing processes between the store, automated systems like text SMS and the customer service staff at a centralized contact center. And overall, their prices are jacked up... So I will be looking and shopping around at other stores.

This Walgreens location (I can only speak about this one) is completely unconcerned for their customers! For over a decade they have been pushing their 90 day supply refill on every piece of literature I've gotten from them! But today on one of my few days off they called me and woke me up pushing their 90 day supply with this supposed "courtesy" call. No a SALES call! A genuine courtesy call would have been one to let me know they were no longer going to be open 24 hours! A big thing to someone who doesn't always work a standard shift but not one call, text, email. Nothing!
Or maybe a call that they were substituting my regular medication with something that looked nothing like the usual pills and of course I couldn't call and make sure they were correct so I could take them that night because they were no longer open 24 hours! I called to speak with the manager about this "courtesy" call but was put on hold for 10 minutes more of their "courtesy"! Walgreens needs to learn that a courtesy call should be a courtesy to the customer not to their business! Maybe it's time to find out if another location is better or if it's all of Walgreens that doesn't understand the definition of "courtesy"!

They change generic types so often. Each med has changed the generic brand at least 3 times each since I got Med D. One!! Year ago! The shape and color change. It’s hard to keep up with meds. Since now they are all white. And I’ve felt so bad for past 1-2 months. Thought I may have them confused. I looked in pill identifier and called another drug store! Two of my meds aren’t even the generic for my medicine! Not even for my Health problems. I have felt terrible last few months so looked at pill identifier. Instead of **. Although in ** bottle and is small white pill. With same #. Just has another number on the back. I got ** for high blood pressure and diabetes! I have low blood sugar. No high blood pressure thankfully. I didn’t have a seizure. I. Have had them before when my blood sugar got so low! I’m Just totally like a zombie!
Instead of ** I got generic for **. For sleep! Might’ve been reason for drowsiness WHILE I was driving! And inability to get motivated to do things I need And have to do! I am furious. And the pharmacy was like No big deal!!! Then He called back to say, "Oh I’m sorry for the mistake." Really! This is my life you are playing with! Wish I had the energy to sue these people! I’m sure I’m not the only one they messed up on! Reporting them tomorrow! And going cold turkey??? from these meds! I have written a note to my doctor and if I have a seizure or withdrawals from this mess. Told my husband to show the pills. And sue Walgreens!!! Since they have lots of Med D patients they think get out as cheap. That seniors are too dumb to notice! As they can! More $ for them. I’m checking my husband meds tomorrow. He got 1 refilled yesterday. And it’s a different generic! I will find over the counter meds. At least I know what’s in them!
I had a little bump up. In my car. Maybe I should report this to my insurance. Let Walgreens pay! And I drive my granddaughter from school! This makes me furious! This is our lives they are dealing with. All this talk about patient abuse. It’s Doctor’s and pharmacist! They prescribed these drugs. Now causing people to go to rehab CTR’s. Became they cut meds back. Or things THEY prescribed! Now they in a panic. Even if you have taken the drug exactly! As they prescribed!
Pls. Go to pill identifier online. And see what you are REALLY taking. Wonder how many they kill every year??? Think I’ll have someone clean my house. And do projects I haven’t felt like doing. And send bill to Walgreens. You wouldn’t believe the crazy things I’ve done. I had already cut one back to every third day until thought could stop entirely. Since the refill and new generic was when I started feeling so bad! Don’t trust the drug store!!! This is scary and greedy.

I started into Walgreens - Insurance company hell about 3 weeks ago. I got a Walgreens notification that my seizure medication was due for a refill, so I thought, "Great, let’s do it." I hit the button. I kept getting phone calls that it was ready, so I drove through my pharmacy to get it. The pharmacist said that there was an issue with insurance not wanting to cover the medication, saying I had run out of my seizure medication early. The pharmacist said I would need my doctor to call in a new prescription for the insurance to cover filling it “early.” I asked why I got a refill notice if it was “early.” The pharmacist said she didn’t know. Ok whatever, I thought. I paid out of pocket for an extra 8 day supply of my seizure medication just so I wouldn’t have to deal with this for a week or so, figuring I had counted wrong or done something wrong.
Fast forward. I started getting phone calls that there was an issue with my medication. What the Heck, I thought. So I went back to the pharmacy and asked why I was getting phone calls. The pharmacist said that I had picked up a 30 day supply 8 days ago. I said I had picked up an 8 day supply. She said “ok, I will have it ready in an hour.” Finally, I thought, I get everything back on track. Two days later, I remembered to go back through, and was again informed that I was picking up early (again), and that they’d have to call my insurance company. I said ok, but I wasn’t picking up early, this all started with the app telling me to refill automatically.
Later that day, I was getting agitated by this back and forth. I called again when I started getting robo-called again about a “delay with your prescription.” I was then incorrectly told that I had picked up a 30 day supply two weeks before. I once again told the pharmacist that that was incorrect. I explained. She then said, "Oh your insurance won’t cover your medication at all now, because it’s early." You can see how I’m pulling my hair out at this point. She said that since my file is marked as picked up early, the insurance won’t cover my meds for a month. I explained I never got a 30 day early supply. Over and over and over. Good thing I had extra at home.
I kept trying to work this out but it seems like it’s just getting worse. I have given up. I am transferring my prescription to a different pharmacy first thing on Monday. I know that there are people out there trying to take advantage of pharmacies, and that they have to account for everything. I just feel like for something like this, it was fine. I would strongly advise against using app notifications for Walgreens. It really screwed up my insurance. I’ll be paying out of pocket for a month. Oh well.

I was treated disrespectfully at the drive thru when dropping off my Mother's Rx. She informed me that I could not pick up the pills until Sat because of when they were picked up the previous month. I asked for the Rx back to hold until then because the last time I put them on hold they neglected to tell me that I still had to call them in too. When she handed me back the paper Rx she had written the wrong dob on it & scribbled it out & wrote the correct one. I was also picking up 2 Rx's for which she asked for the address (she had just confirmed that with my ID). I gave her the address & then she asked for it again. At this point I noticed the scribbling on the paper script & also felt that she was incompetent & harassing so I asked for the pharmacist. A girl came to the window & passed herself off as the pharmacist. I told her the other girl was incompetent to which she said "she isn't" & to be nice.
I then asked her for the scripts I was picking up & she proceeded to ask me the Dr. name. Shouldn't they know that. More harassment by wasting my time. I asked this supposed Pharmacist advice regarding ** patches for the pain of shingles which I was going to come in and purchase. She who is not a Pharmacist proceeded to give me medical advice saying they would not help and I shouldn't bother purchasing them. So she lost a sale and ** is recommended for Shingles pain. I will be transferring all of my Mother's Rx to another pharmacy chain. I already personally stopped using Walgreens yrs ago because of poor customer service. Thank you for your attention to this matter. In my opinion the one who passed herself off as a Pharmacist committed a crime. I have been going to this pharmacy for her for yrs & I know who the Pharmacist is & he was there. I saw him walk by as I was driving off.

I have arrived at this Walgreens at all hours and days and without exception been welcomed by whomever is cashiering at the store entrance. Every member of the team whom I've sought help from has stopped what they were doing and assisted me, always with a gracious manner and reflecting knowledge of the store and its inventory. On rare occasion they didn't know the answer they asked a colleague and that colleague was kind and helpful to both their team member and myself!
The crown jewel is the very smart, articulate, calm, kind-spoken Pharmacist SUNEET! What stands out is SUNEET's calm, unflappable demeanor despite surges of seemingly insurmountable volume of humanity at every window seeking his knowledge. All handled in a stellar, gracious, professional manner! The Pharmacy team, each and every one is exceptional in their efficiency and ability to deal with the often observable impatient, rude, inarticulate public! However, I have observed these occasions many times and can testify that the Pharmacy team is ALWAYS nice, patient and a professionally remarkable team!

Walgreens is the worst drug store/pharmacy chain in the country! I have these Avalon Organics Full Value Coupons that I wanted to use and so I went on to the AvalonOrganics.com website to find out where they sell them. It turns out that all three (3) drug store/pharmacy chains sell them, including Walgreens, however, when I called several of their stores, they told me that I could only purchase the Avalon Organics products on their website. I then asked about using my Full Value Coupons on the website and was told that it is not possible! I was extremely angry and upset over the fact that the Avalon Organics are not sold in their Walgreens stores (by Walgreens' personal, stupid, unprofessional choice), but only on their website instead and the fact that they refuse to honor my Full Value Coupons to purchase them from their website.
Since I was so angry and upset, I decided to contact their customer service office and complain to them about it and basically was told the same, damn thing! However, I did ask if they could transfer some of their online Avalon Organics products to one of their local Los Angeles stores in order for me to make the purchase and that was refused as well! I got so sick and tired of dealing with these losers from Walgreens, the worst drug store/pharmacy chain ever that I decided to publish negative reviews about this horrific experience and to never come back again! I am definitely not recommending Walgreens to anyone! RiteAid and CVS do a much better job and do not abuse, nor control their customers like I was by Walgreens back in early March of 2018. Thank you!

After 1st review, I went back to Walgreens with intent to "finally" get my Rxs. Talked to head Pharmacist Kathy **. Found out none of this even needed to happen! Robert ** should have called other Walgreens in the area to have my Rx filled immediately instead of holding all 5 of my medications. Robert ** arrogantly accused me (** woman) and the Hispanic woman behind me of "taking too much medicine" showing his bigotry re: **. I showed Pharmacist Kathy the bloodwork and MRI results received 1 week before this interaction with Robert **. Bloodwork truly reflects if medication isn't being taken correctly. Mine was excellent AS USUAL, proving Robert ** making unnecessarily biased accusations!
Pharmacist Kathy has been my pharmacist since store 1st opened... well before my 1st brain surgery in Sept 2015 and second in June 2016. She saw me through all of it, including when dosages raised post-surgeries and the fact that I weaned myself back to pre-surgical medication amounts with my doctor's help. My disorder is Genetic. It's a genetic form of Multiple Sclerosis called "Ataxia". So the ** I take also helps keep my brain from swelling. 3 help with pain and inflammation so I can function. The last helps with the blood pressure that the pain meds raise. Robert ** decision to leave me without medication for days at a time is DANGEROUS!
He seems to think he knows better than my regular doctor and surgeons that I see 4x yearly. I have had "short-counts" before. Now I'm having my pills counted every time before leaving the store. I spoke to Pharmacist Kathy the same way I spoke to him. She didn't feel in any way threatened by my questioning. What makes Pharmacist Robert ** think "he" should NEVER BE QUESTIONED. His lie about store manager holding up release of medications was exposed. His lie re: speaking to my doctor was also exposed. I was speaking to him on phone while my husband was driving us to store. It takes 7 min to get there. Pharmacist Robert ** took 3 min of that 7 min arguing with me about calling my doctor.
Why didn't he want to call my doctor? Another employee inadvertently revealed he'd been in consultation with another patient in the time it took us to arrive. My grandmother was 1 of the 1st licensed ** nurses in California. I grew up helping her care for patients. My daughter is an RN. I know medications must be carefully counted and monitored. I willingly, purposefully do what's necessary for my healthy improvement and safety. Pharmacist Kathy knows all this. So clearly Robert ** doesn't see patients as individuals. He desperately needs Retraining or an entirely different job! Pharmacist Kathy needs a different pharmacist to work with.
Original Review: March 18, 2018
I have had 2 brain surgeries. I see my doctor monthly, always within 2 days of each previous month's date. Have bloodwork every 3 months. Walgreens shipment of drugs was not available for 1 of my medications. They held up ALL my Rx based on 1 late shipment. Because of late pickup 1st time every month. After that for next 3 months. Later by 2-3 days for ALL my medication. So I'm up to 7 days late for medication pickup. Walgreens didn't "note" their error though Robert readily acknowledged that the late shipment did indeed happen. Pharmacist Robert ** claimed he called doctor. First time "ever" told my doctor wouldn't release to me in over 8 years. So I believe Robert ** boldfaced LIED!!
I am not now nor ever have been At Risk with medications. We put Rx on Tuesday. Told it would be ready Thursday. Thursday told to come back Friday. Friday told to come back Sunday. It's Sunday today. Told to come back Monday. Robert ** told me he could have released on 16th previous month but didn't. Instead they kept "adding" days. I didn't yell or curse or name call. My husband said Robert was having fellow employee call sheriff's department. I simply called 2 times then showed up at store to talk to pharmacist. Why the "run around"? Robert showed me the prepared bags. Will they tell me tomorrow they are not going to release the Rx? It's been done 4 times already this week alone. Releasing my Rx today, then on 15th next month would put my pickup date back on track. My appointment with doctor is on 13th of every month through end of September 2018.

I am writing about Walgreens on Lyon and Florida in Hemet Ca. The pharmacy is making me mad. I have a new prescription called **. In December I tried to get it for the first time and they gave me a partial and said it would be ready the next day. I went back 3 times and I was going out of town for Christmas. I stopped at another Walgreens and tried to get it filled but they said since another store gave me a partial that they couldn't fill it because it was already started and the original store would be paid for it.
After the holidays I forgot all about it. Walgreens never bothered to complete the prescription. I went in February and my Dr wanted me to take it. I went to Walgreens again and they said they were out but gave me 4 pills and said come back tomorrow. I went back 5 more times and each time when I gave them my info, they would say “there is nothing here for you”. I tell them that they gave me partial. Then they look at the computer and then they suddenly can find it. (I think that's weird.) They tell me to come back tomorrow.
I had a stroke a year and a half ago and I am new to using a pharmacy all the time. I cannot drive myself. It is a pain to ask for a ride 5 times. 9 times if you include December. I waited till the middle of the night and called to complain. I explained what was going on to Connie and she said they will order it. I said that's what I am always told. I asked who is the manager and she said Kim. I said, "Please have the manager call me because I am really upset and I want to speak to someone or I will write a complaint and send it to anyone who will read it." I was very clear about it. She said she works from noon till 9. So far all I have received is an automated message saying that my prescription is delayed. Add insult to injury I bought a thermometer on sale and it has a bad battery. My guy was sick and it said his temp was 95.

Almost every time I give Walgreens a prescription to fill it's delayed substantially. Their "reasons" for the delays include: "They need to get approval from the doctor" (the same doctor who wrote the prescription to begin with); they must obtain approval from insurance (even though I've been getting the same prescription from the same doctor through the same pharmacy for years); they can only fill the prescription on the same as the last one was filled (even though it's several days past and I'm out of the particular product). The "funny thing" is, when I call them on their BS, they say the prescription will be ready in an hour. If you want good service on meds you must have, don't use Walgreens. Instead, drive to Mexico, or Canada, or heII, China, the wait will be shorter.

On 3/6/2018 I was told that I was unable to physically pick up a prescription that was faxed to Walgreens from my local hospital. Due to the fact most of Walgreens computer systems crashed down on 3/6/2018 My husband has bone cancer & we spent the previous night in the hospital with pneumonia. The prescription was for a antibiotic. A very strong one too. Because their system was down we were told we either have to go back to the hospital (which we were there for 10 hours in the ER) or we can buy it outright for 160.00 because Walgreens couldn’t process it through Blue Cross due to THEIR COMPUTER ISSUES! My Husband is even more sick with his pneumonia now.
So basically because Walgreens system failed my husband waited almost 24 hours after leaving the ER to get an antibiotic. We ended up being able to get it from another pharmacy. I’ll never use Walgreens again. I plan on filing complaints to the highest. GOODBYE WALGREENS FOREVER! Provide your employees with training in customer service and proper etiquette towards customers. Also I spent a total of 7 hours of my workday trying to convince Walgreens that we need this prescription. We use Walgreens on a regular basis & you would think they would of offered us at least one pill to get him through until THEY RESOLVED THEIR ISSUE NOT MINE. Even if it wasn’t a work day it was 7 hours of my life I’ll never get back!
Even typing this is a waste of my time. I’m sure WALGREENS COULD CARE LESS! All I can say is I WILL NEVER USE WALGREENS AGAIN. The ** we purchase for bone cancer which is over 20,000 a month without insurance will no longer be purchased at your stores. I wouldn’t even buy a can of poop at Walgreens! This isn't a fake review either so stick your zero tolerance for fake reviews up your system down computers! One more fact I need to mention, we were told we couldn’t pick the prescription up to take to another pharmacy because it was faxed to the pharmacy from the hospital. I plan on telling everyone I know this story. I’m through typing my experience & I need to go attend to my VERY ILL HUSBAND!

I have been going to a neighborhood Walgreens for at least a year now. I missed my doctor's appointment so as good as my doctor has been to me he gave me a 7-day supply which really helped since it's a benzo. A week later he wrote me out the regular prescription that he does for 30 days Walgreens filled it and took out 7 days worth wrote 30 days supply on the bottle but when I received it seven were missing when I got home and of course it was a mistake I did not count them in front of them because I didn't want to embarrass the pharmacist.
From now on I will embarrass the pharmacist because I did without a benzo for a full week and they did not give a ** at ALL! Then they told me to bring in both bottles the one that had the seven the one that had the 30 on it. I said what would that prove you wouldn't know you wouldn't understand because they weren't counted in front of you and you think I'm just trying to get a 7-day supply free off of you now I'm having problems of trying to get my benzo prescription filled again, and since my insurance agency wants to fill it on the 26th day they are not having it. They don't want to hear anything. I have complained to Walgreens corporate office twice. I have called the Walgreens local pharmacy that I go to once a month and they don't want to hear anything.
They don't understand that there was two days in January the 30th and the 31st and they want to give it to me on the 27th so even if that's 28 days which it is really 29 they're telling me that it's on time and it's actually early is not early my insurance agency wants to fill it tomorrow which is on the 25th so if you count 25 + 2 2 days out of January 30th and 31st and 25 days in February that comes out the 27. Their mathematics are way the ** off but I'm debating whether or not to go to another chain retail pharmacy and see if I'll have better luck. I doubt it. I went to Walgreens today to fill my prescription on the 28th day after my last fill, as this makes it easier for when the next month starts, I don't have to go to the pharmacy on THE DAY OF. Due to the fact that my doctor writes the notes on my prescriptions weird, the pharmacist denied filling it because he claimed it was 2 days early. Walgreens is always very weird about filling controlled substances so I just brushed it off and asked for my prescription back so I could go to a different pharmacy that goes by actual dates and insurance approval (which I'm right on schedule with as far as that goes). So, when the pharmacy tech came back with my prescriptions, there was huge green marker written on both of my prescriptions saying to not fill it for 2 more days, which is ABSOLUTELY OUT OF LINE.
The pharmacists are consistently rude, paranoid, and cold about issues like this and I'm sick of it. I'm done shopping there in general because of this, which I know won't make any difference in the grand scheme of things but as a consumer, this is my only recourse. I'm about convinced that the young twits at Walgreens are running off customers on purpose. People who have prescriptions for controlled substances have gone through the trouble and expense of a doctor, for professional guidance, and paying a pharmacy, where it is tracked if there are questions. Treating people like addicts has a psychological methodology behind it that usually results in first indignation and then shame. No one wants to be sick. No one is proud that they have a disease. This is a tactic that a drug dealer would exploit, forcing law abiding citizens to self treatment, in a back alley. The street price is less than the insurance company because some thieving tech has cut out the middleman. They may even be dipping into the meds themselves. Read the countless customer complaints online of missing pills from Walgreens prescriptions.
My problem is that because I told a young Middle Eastern pharmacist that his store policy was not the law and that I shouldn't have to come back at 8 AM to get the prescription that my doctor has written every month for years, when I'm on my way out of town on business. I'm not wasting my company's time to rent a car out of state while trying to find some unfamiliar pharmacy, when it has already been filled. If you call the DEA, and let them know that your doctor has written this prescription, which is a NEW prescription every month, they will let you know that as long as it isn't more than two per month, because they expect some overlap at the end of the month, then it is just Walgreens company policy, not the law.
So, I explained that to the young man. He in turn flagged my account. Now, every time I have gone in to get my meds, or any other meds, like my antibiotics today for strep throat, my account comes up flagged for early refill. The best part, I had already gone to a different pharmacy because I was done with Walgreens. So, why punish people for pointing out the obvious? Their two day rule for same prescription is illogical when it's not the same script and is just a way to be abusive to customers. I'm more curious how many pills are missing from their counts. Oh, but they're on the up and up because they make people wait two days and inconvenience them to come back at 8AM. This is how people exploit the system and get patted on the back for it.

What the hell -- THREE FULL DAYS days to do the two hour drive between Sacramento and San Francisco? My headline is correct -- a stagecoach could absolutely do that journey faster. Whoever is responsible for training their CSRs should be fired. They don’t know their own policies, and provide incorrect information. The supervisors are worst, just looking to ignore issues, and close the case so they don’t have to deal with any issues. Won’t use again. Terrible way to treat customers.

I was in town (74 miles from home ) for dental surgery. The dentist had given me a prescription (18 ** pills) to fill before the surgery and this store was nearby. I received the prescription in less than 15 minutes and was out the door. While waiting for my surgery I was looking at the bottle, opened it and there were only 13 pills... I called the store and after 6 transfers and 4 people I told the pharmacy management that I was shorted 5 pills. She explained if this was true the pharmacy bottle of ** would have 5 pills too many. When she came back on the phone sure enough the pharmacy bottle inventory was over by 5 pills, I could come to the drive up window and get the remaining 5 pills, and she was sorry about that.
This call took a total of 9 minutes and 24 seconds. I was fortunate that I found this error before leaving town and having the surgery. I did go to the drive up window, told them my address, showed my driver's license and received the 5 pills. I have never been shorted a thyroid pill in over 35 years, but I have never had it filled at a Walgreen store. This is the last time I use the Walgreen pharmacy.

It doesn't matter which store you go to, Walgreens has the worst pharmacy. Long waits. No customer service whatsoever. Incompetent employees. Rude employees. Unfortunately I was forced by my employer to change from Publix to Walgreens. I cringed because I knew the experience would not be good. That was an understatement. Not only can they not fill prescriptions correctly (every time, and I have ongoing prescriptions) but if you have a question for the pharmacist you will never, ever be connected. The incompetence of this organization is astounding. It's unreal. That's why they go into contract with employers. Otherwise no sane person would voluntarily subject themselves to this torture. You'd think that as human beings the people that work there would have some kind of compassion or at the least some kind of work ethic, but sadly, no.

The girl looked on the shelf. Told me the content and I told her I wanted the caplets. She gave me a box. I paid for it. Got home and realized she had sold me ** with no ** in it at all, not for headaches was for nasal decongestant. She obviously did not read the box and I took her word for it that it was the same. I went back to the store and told them she gave me the wrong thing. I was told by the manager I could not return ** no matter who's fault it was.
So I was out money, had no headache medication, and screwed for $6.82. Which may not mean much to some people but I am live on a fixed income and $6.82 means a lot to me. They did not care. Did not even offer to find the right medication, just said, "Too bad." I went to a different pharmacy and they said I should have got a refund or an exchange of the right medication. Now, I know why my friends and family no longer go to Walgreens. They could kill people by giving them the wrong medication. You need better people, some who can read their own medication boxes or pay attention when someone tells them something.

I'm having a very bad experience & horrible customer service at the Walgreens Pharmacy & Clinic located at 26288 Kuykendahl Rd, Tomball, TX 77375. The pharmacy/clinic forgot to fax a pre-authorization from their clinic PA - Dr. ** to my insurance company. They apologized for forgetting to send the fax, but this has caused my prescription refill to be delayed by over 1 week and my medication has completely run out. When I called the insurance company they told me they are just waiting on the pharmacy/clinic to provide them with the information they need.
I have been getting this prescription refilled at this location for 3 months, but I have never experienced this problem & have never in my life had to wait a week to get a prescription of 30 pills refilled. I have called the pharmacy & clinic to ask and they refuse to help me. Please assist me getting this issue resolved so I can get my prescription refilled! Today I am having a shoulder replacement. On November 5 I turned in a prescription for ** at my local Walgreens located at 680 Burleigh Blvd on Tavares Florida. To make a long story short they lost my prescription. It was even admitted to me several times that the girl who had taken my prescription had misplaced it and it could not be found. As anyone in the medical field knows a replacement prescription for a controlled substance is impossible to get. The young lady in the pharmacy was kind enough to call my doctor and tell her that yes the prescription had been lost but a phone call is a poor substitute for pain management. I went to the manager of the store and then the manager of the pharmacy asking simply for a letter stating that yes the pharmacy had lost my prescription. I just wanted a hard copy so I was not to be made out to be drug seeking.
I left the store that day completely unsatisfied as the manager brushed me off to the pharmacy and the pharmacist insisted that he would call my doctor, which had already been done. But was not willing to give me a simple letter stating that my prescription have been lost. So what was my remaining option? Call the corporate office. It has been two weeks since I called corporate and was assured that my message would be passed along to someone who could remedy the situation. And here I am 14 days later still not satisfied with the situation and very irritated. In my opinion Walgreens behavior and actions in this situation has been an epic fail. Obviously Walgreens is not concerned with patients well-being as they claim to be. Next time I walk in or out of the store and somebody yells "be well" at me may we'll be my last visit. Maybe it would just be best if I transferred my prescriptions elsewhere, and advise family and friends to do the same.

This complaint is on Walgreens Pharmacy on Hwy 42 in Prairieville, La. My son was discharged from the hospital with a spinal fusion. I placed in 5 prescriptions to be filled. My husband picked up the prescriptions and received only 3 medications. I called the pharmacy and was told one was over the counter and the other was not covered. I asked why didn’t someone tell my husband. The person at the pharmacy said they were sorry and they should have but Medicaid does not cover the medication. I told the lady my son has two insurances in the system Aetna commercial and Medicaid as secondary. She said the medication is not covered under both insurances.
My son went on for two days without the medication and was in excruciating pain. I contacted the doctor’s office and spoke to the Physician Assistant whom was furious that my son did not receive the medication she ordered. She asked for me to go to the pharmacy and speak with them. I did just that and told them that I have Aetna commercial in the system as the primary insurance. I then received the medication but only to find out that the pharmacy only had a stock of 29 pills left in which the doctor ordered 33 pills. I had to take the 29 pills because my son was in so much pain from not receiving his pain medication for two days.

Last Sunday I tried to use the drive thru, and after 10 minutes as the only one in line, someone finally responded (1 person on duty). My advice is to find another pharmacy. We were treated rude by the staff at Walgreens and left and was with Callahan Pharmacy, Stayed with them for several years. It was so nice and every month our prescriptions were filled and ready for us. Not only that but when we walked in. We were called by first names and they knew everything about us. Unfortunately, Callahan Pharmacy Closed and we were told that we would have to go back to Walgreens. They had bought out Callahan. Since we have been there it has been nothing but problems.
My husband is on a lot of pain medication. He has 4th stage liver disease and chronic kidney disease and has had 12 surgeries since having a steel beam fall in his arms and snatching all his muscles from one side of his body to the other requiring multiple surgeries and then complete shoulder replacements. They refuse to take the prescription on day early, but have to call the Physician every month to see if the prescription was written by him. I had to stand in there and argue with them to verify the prescription on Friday. I know that we could not pick it up until Saturday.
After telling them that I was leaving the prescription and walked out. I went back and got the medication, Now after several months of being with them and hearing other people wanting to get signs and picket the Store because of the way the pharmacist manager treats people. Once my husband took his medication to the store and dropped it off around 10:30. Didn't make the desk of the pharmacist until 11:30. At 1:00 the pharmacist came out and told him that they had to call the Doctor on this medication and they were out to lunch until 1:30 so he might as well go home and come back later. (Which is 22 miles round trip) She told him that was not far.
Maybe not far but when you have to keep driving back and forth down there and you only have a income of 760.00 Social Security and you can't take your medication cause you will not drive taking medication. So he suffers until they get their stuff right. I have had to stop him from going because they get him upset every time he goes into the store. I have been sick for several weeks and he went to get his medication and they had to give him different pills from 3 different pharmaceutical to make up his full supply. This month he goes in and they don't have his medication even tho we get it every month. At this time they are totally out of the medication.
I had to just about beg someone to call other stores to see if they had the medication. She came back and said that they were all out of this medication. So I had to take the prescription and leave Nassau County to try to go find this medication, I went to Walgreens on Normandy Blvd. Complete Different experience. Justin waited on me and was so nice and got the prescription ready for me. He treated me like he cared about the customers. Such a nice feeling after dealing with I believe her name is Corrine.
When my husband walks in he feel like she is treated him like this because he is ** and has tattoo's and he is on strong pain meds. Which I might add he has dropped 50 mg his self trying to get off the medication because he would rather die than be treated like a Drug Addict by the Callahan Pharmacy. So I am back to hearing my husband cry in his sleep because of the pain he is in. I have spoken with several of the employees there who say that this Pharmacist is just plain nasty, not because we are ** as she treats everyone like this.
Time to get a new pharmacist with a heart who care about people. You know that this man comes in every month to get his medication why not keep it in stock as the other pharmacy did. I had to drive 100 miles round trip to get his medication. The order number is not for the medication I am speaking about but it doesn't come from Callahan Walgreens Pharmacy.

It has been prescribed for me by an actual doctor (very much cheaper as a prescription), but the prescription ran out (3x90day supply) and I have not been back to the doctor to get it renewed. Today, for example, I ordered my prescriptions yesterday through the phone service. Somehow, one of the refills went to a different location. I called my location pharmacy and they said "No problem, we'll pull it over and fill it here and it will be ready in an hour." Then I called back and added an additional refill to the order and I asked how much extra time was needed. I was told, "We already have your existing two prescriptions filled and we can have the extra done in 30 mins." I waited until 9:15 pm to pick them up at the drive-thru, only to be told that the store didn't even have one of the originals in stock!
I waited for over 30 mins at the window, then to add more insult, the girl asked me if I could move to lane 2 because all of the cars piling up behind me weren't using lane 2! I told her my medication will not fit in the tube so she told me to come in to the store! Really!!! This happens to me every time I go there! So, once again, I have to park and go inside the store, only to find a huge line, on top of all the cars in the drive-thru being helped before me! Then, because they were out of stock, after I was told it was filled, they gave me a lower dosage. Made me pay for the whole thing, and now I have to go back AGAIN and deal with this place in two weeks to get what I paid for! The medication is not a controlled drug. Last time the pharmacy withheld 75 mg of the medication for three days and I was too sick to pick it up. By the time the pharmacy decided to release the 75 mg to me as I was going into withdrawal. They claimed I was getting double therapy even though I spoke to the pharmacist days earlier and told him I take two different strengths. The insurance company had approved the medication but the drugstore was holding it for two more days claiming they were waiting to hear from insurance. Really? I fixed that.
I called the insurance co and stayed online while insurance co spoke to pharmacy. So why can't pharmacy call the insurance co? They claim they were waiting for a call? The pharmacy telling me I have to take an extended release medication In separate doses is odd. I've taken the medication exactly the same way for 6.5 years. All together. No problems exactly the way instructed by dr. Why is Walgreens telling me otherwise? Why are they holding my medication putting me in withdrawal for three days? What is the issue with Walgreens now?

I placed an order for refills on 10/6/2017 and paid extra for faster shipping. Starting two days ago I have been calling Walgreens trying to find out why I haven’t heard anything about my order. Every time I get a different, conflicting, useless answer. I am now on hold for the last hour, having been told when their phone system answered that I would have to wait at least 7 minutes. I tried getting some useful and truthful information from a chat session but that person was also less than useless. I don't think she even understood my simple question of "what is the tracking number?" on a package that was supposedly shipped a couple of days ago. My insurance company made me switch to the Walgreens mail-order service. I have told them of my horrible experiences. Hopefully they will be flooded with similar complaints and will find a different company to deal with.

I have used our local Walgreens for over ten years, but got so fed up yesterday that I am pulling all my prescriptions and going to CVS. My daughter had a 3 months prescription there on automatic refill and went to pick up her second month. She has had this same 3 medication there since January. They told her that they couldn't give them to her because it was too early. She only had a week's left of pills. After a few days they texted her and told her that they were out of her medication, but they should get some in. The day she was on her last pill they texted her and said due to technical problems they would not have her prescription until the next day. That meant she would have to go a day without any. I was shocked to hear this and called them up and asked them what was the problem and if they could just get the medication from another Walgreens.
The person on the phone said they ran out of the medication and no they couldn't send the prescription to another pharmacy. I was very angry and swore and she hung up on me. I drove up to the store and she told me the same thing. I was very upset and she called the manager. I talked to the manager and told him that when he took my subscription, I thought that he was obligated to fill it. And explained that there are many psychological med that you just can't stop taking because you have very bad reactions. He didn't seem to care and said that sometimes they don't have enough because they have too many people coming in. He said he had to fill the prescription that came in. I explained that my prescription came in two months ago and he didn't fill mine.
He was turning me away. He said that was just the way it was. I left dumbfounded. Not only could they not fill my prescription, but they couldn't send the prescription anywhere else so I could get the meds. What a terrible way to do business. He never said sorry, or "we will try to do better." He just said that's what happens. Why would anyone do business with a pharmacy that can't guarantee that they can fill the prescriptions when they are due? They would be out of business if they told everyone that brought in a prescription that we may not be able to fill the prescription, but we'll take it and you won't be able to get in anywhere else if we can't fill it.

My savings club expired 5/18/17. I have been trying ever since to get the promised refund, it is now 10/6/17. I just got off the phone with them for the umpteenth time to try and resolve. I have literally spent hours on the phone with them over the last few months. At first they were going to refund it to my card. Upon checking, that did not happen. Called again, same thing. Finally was told they would mail me a check. That didn't happen, so when I called back today, they said the funds had been deposited in August. At this point, I don't really believe it, but will try again this weekend. The difference will be that if the funds are not there, I will leave the merchandise on the counter unlike the last time. Then I will be forever through with Walgreens. Be warned about this savings club. You must initiate the refund, they don't just do it. Read the fine print. Even after numerous contacts, I have been left in limbo.

Do not expect to be helped if you call in. They'll put you on hold, transfer you, then you'll restart the process over and over again... I ordered through their website for ship to store and they never notified me it was ready (which the shipping notification says to wait for). Three weeks later I start digging and see that they signed for it yet didn't have it ready and couldn't find it. They charged my credit card for three weeks without providing the products I paid for. My boyfriend had the same problem when he had it shipped to his house (it took two months then he called and canceled his order) too. On a larger scale, it sounds like a free line of credit to me. Stick with Amazon. You'll get much better service that way.

Worst pharmacy EVER!!! They pick and chose what scripts they want to fill and who to fill them for! They have taken my scripts and held them and told me to come back next day and when I went back they said they didn't fill them! Due to the type of medication there is a demand for these drugs and if someone they know comes in before you pick up your medicine they will give it to someone else. They are breaking the law by first holding onto your scripts so you can not fill your scripts anywhere else.
Then when they tell you to come back after Ckg their inventory and I know they had my medicine. They gave away both my medications to someone else and handed me back my scripts the next day and said they didn't have my meds anymore!!! Why??? Because they gave them to someone else!!! I would not be surprised if they get paid and kickbacks from their cash paying customers. They basically pick and choose who they want to fill for! I am so done with this pharmacy. Last year I switched to Walgreens AARP Medicare Rx insurance, because it was attractively priced. Well. I have saved money over my previous plan, but only at the cost of endless aggravation. For example, I just got off the phone, from my FOURTH try to get a prescription refilled. I got my doctor to send a new Rx, because WG screwed up the previous refill. Anyway, if they've missed any possible mistake in the 9 mos I've been using their service... This was a new one.
On my last call, the helpful rep corrected a mistake by the previous rep, apologized, said she would keep "close track" over the new order. Well. Several days passed. I got a cryptic phone message and letter regarding some *other* order number, so I called back. The new rep (never the same twice!) first said the meds were back-ordered. I questioned this (very common drug), so she asked the pharm, who said the order was entered wrong. Rep said she'd ship it "expedited". I pointed out that, last time they shipped "expedited", the shipper had (literally) thrown the package into our yard! She said they'd use FedEx this time, and email me when it shipped. We'll see.

We received a call from the pharmacist (who was very nice) saying that the price was going to be over $600 and Blue Cross Blue Shield was not going to cover it because of our deductible not being met. This was for a generic brand! The Dr. informed me that pharmacies charge different prices and to shop around. I have been going to Walgreens for 3 years to get my **. I had been going every two weeks but asked my doctor if I could go once a month. It was too much twice a month. I had got my dates mixed up from the switch and had taken my prescription a few days too early a couple of times and Walgreens would only let me pick it up two days early. Well since hurricane Harvey some of my friends who were on them as well told me my Walgreens was out. I didn't have a car this month either and CVS is across the street. I was early again I guess but CVS gave me the ten and the clerk said if I filled the 10 it would cancel out the whole prescription. I know that is not true. Usually they give you what they have and you can come back when they get the order in.
So I went ahead and got the ten and decided to ask the pharmacist. The clerk told me to sit down and wait. The pharmacist was looking at it. I guess he called my doctor to get approval to fill the 50 on a new prescription. I don't know? So the clerk told me that I have a refill on the 50 and they didn't know when a truck would be there. So I call Walgreens where I normally go and they have them. I didn't give Walgreens my name and ask could I have a refill transferred there. They said, "Yes, what is the prescription number?" so I gave them CVS's. I assumed it was being taken care of. I called the next day to see if ready. Whoever answered looked my order up and said no it didn't get transferred because it was a new prescription.
So today is Monday all this other was on a Friday. I called CVS today is Monday to see when their truck would be in. They told me this evening around 5 pm and what is my name and DOB. I gave it. She paused for a min like she was reading something and told me, "Yes, the truck is coming in but you cannot pick up your prescription until tomorrow." What has happened is the two pharmacies has talked and Walgreens has told them probably that the reason I came to CVS is to get my prescription early which is not true. I did not have a car!!!! And CVS is across the street from my apts.
Bottom line is now CVS is telling me I cannot pick up my prescription and tomorrow will be 30 days. Why are they playing God. I am on ** so I want be a drug head but you get treated like one even if you're trying. They had no business discussing with each other when I picked my prescription up and should not set a deadline. The Walgreens Pharmacy staff are frazzled and overworked and make an astonishingly large number of mistakes. A recurrent problem that I have is I will order a refill of a particular prescription, and then when I go to get it they have a different prescription ready for me. They call it an internal error when this happens. It is a maddening situation, because I will have staff try to tell me that I ordered this other prescription when I did not. They will even change the records in the system to make it look like I ordered a different prescription than I did.
This is insane. The most recent time this happened I wound up having to go to the pharmacy on four occasions and I had to call my doctor's office when the pharmacy insisted that my doctor had not authorized a refill yet. According to the nurse at my doctor's office, Walgreens is notorious in their Healthcare System for pharmacy errors. She let me know that my prescription refill had been authorized by my doctor several days previous. When I went back into the pharmacy for the fourth time to explain this, finally instead of telling me that I had ordered a completely different prescription somebody told me that because I was on another medication that was somewhat similar that somebody had made the determination that I was no longer in need of the other medication which I take for a completely different reason, and had changed my refill to this other medication which I did not need a refill of.
This is absolutely insane. It makes me sick to think of elderly and or very sick people driving in inclement weather over and over and over to this stupid Walgreens Pharmacy because their employees are making changes like this. It should not be happening. The only reason I use Walgreens is because it is the only Pharmacy which is convenient to my home. However, Walgreens does not deserve my business or anybody else's. The other thing they did which is absolutely obnoxious is they started this Rewards program where you accumulate points for your purchases which can be redeemed for cash amount of merchandise.
Out of the blue, Walgreens decided that they didn't approve of people accumulating substantial amount of reward dollars, so without announcing it they zeroed out everybody's accounts so that people had to start over from scratch. There were many people, particularly elderly people, who had accumulated $50 plus worth of rewards that they were just saving up for a special day to go on a shopping spree. How dare Walgreens steal this money from these innocent people without even letting them know that this was about to happen. It is outrageous. Walgreens is all about greed, greed, and more greed. I noticed I never received a text Monday after work to let me know that my prescription was ready to be picked up. This was odd because I had never had this happen before. I went by Walgreens to pickup my medication that I pay cash for and pick up what I can when I have the money to do so. I get to the window and tell them I'm there to pick up my prescription and after what seemed like 2 minutes the lady comes back and tells me that the pharmacist said I should have enough to last until tomorrow that he will fill it tomorrow. I told the lady that I'm not using insurance that I pay cash for my medication and I could pick my medication up whenever.
My doctor wrote me a one month prescription and I could have picked it all up the first day if I chose to but because it's so expensive I pick it up when I can and not that I should have to explain to them but I wouldn't be in town until the end of the week and I was leaving out tomorrow morning. Well that didn't matter to the pharmacist, his reply was for me to find a Walgreens wherever I was going and have it filled there. I spend at least $600 a month there at this particular Walgreens but after this I will never deal with them again. When someone is written a prescription, who gives the pharmacist the right to tell them when they can pick it up especially when it's part of an existing prescription and the person pays cash? I could have picked it all up the first day I dropped it off but evidently because I couldn't afford to shell out $400 bucks that day the pharmacist thinks he can dictate when I can pickup the rest. Won't be going back there!

When trying to redeem that value - the store clerk reveals that it is not valid. This has happened now 3 times to myself so far and apparently others have complained as well for their situation. I brought it to the attention of their customer service hotline. She added the points last time and apologized. Ok. However, it has continued to happen and this is unacceptable customer care. Why can't they spend the extra money and get that coupon machine fixed already.
Furthermore it leads me to suspect what kind of billing practices or points practices is that company engaging in. On the face of things, it appears to be nothing more than a sham and a corrupt attempt to gain access to an individuals personal data for marketing purposes but with no real set and properly working rewards points system in place. I went to the drive thru to fill a prescription written from my doctor. I’ve been going to the Walgreens in West Long Branch NJ for a while and it’s always a pain in the neck, but tonight was the last time. I handed the person my prescription and license. She said all was good and just stop back or come inside. I asked her just to confirm that all was good before I parked and came inside. She said yes and she did spend some time working on it so I figured I'm ok to come in and get my prescription. It’s 9:00 pm mind you so I'm not looking to hang around too long, but also I was being nice and patient.
I come inside and they page me in about 10 minutes- lo and behold they say they can’t fill my prescription because I'm "too early”. They contended they filled my previous 30 day supply 30 days ago, but didn't pick it up right away (because I was on vacation and actually had to lower my dose to make it home because Walgreens gave me a hard time the month before) and they go by the "pick Up date not the dispense date" so I would have to wait three days! LOL!!! This must be a new rule because my insurance company filled the prescription but Walgreens wouldn't dispense it. It’s also the smug attitude and lack of respect for my time. They could have told me this at the drive thru instead of wasting my time and aggravating me.
I will never ever ever go there again and am happy to go to Shop Rite, Rite Aid or CVS and give them a try. I was a long time customer there and filled mine and my wife's prescriptions and my kids and I spend money like a drunken sailor as well, so definitely their loss. Who needs them anyway. Earth to Walgreens- not everybody is a drug addict trying to get over on you- some people are actually just trying to get the prescription filled so they can get home to their families. Jeez - It’s like they had four people staring at me like I was some kind of crook! You’re not detectives people. Stop changing the rules every week and just fill the damn prescription (if all is in order).

When I first started using Walgreens regularly about 2.5 years ago, we had no problems whatsoever. Phone calls were smooth, interactions were smooth, flawless communication between Walgreens and my family's doctors, etc. About 8 or so months ago, they hit the toilet. The website was revamped and therein started the issues. I have gotten the all clear or go ahead to transfer scripts or fill scripts over the phone, told they'd be ready that day. I went to pick up these items and of course, the actual pharmacy has no idea what I'm talking about, can't see this, can't do that. It is ridiculous.
On 8/1/17 my step daughter (14yrs) wanted to spend a week with her father and me. Great! We love having her. She does take meds and needed three scripts filled. Her mother said she was fine with us transferring to our local Walgreens, as they live over an hour away. So, I called the Walgreens store and at first, the operator said I needed to call the store directly. Ummm, I told her I did, and she said "okay, let me see on my computer" (yes, Walgreens, we know it's a call center nowhere near the actual store, you're not fooling anyone). So she finds the information she needs, she says "oh, okay it's just a simple transfer of meds, you can pick up all three in about an hour".
Okay, well I let her know I didn't need them until the following day but was giving plenty of time to arrange. She said the extra time was unnecessary, but thanked me. I asked if I needed to call back to confirm (been down this road before), she said "no, it is already taken care of". Great! Not so great when I arrived at the pharmacy the next day. The tech told me at first there were NO meds in her computer for my daughter. Then, said "Oh yeah I do see something, one med." I said, "No, there are three. She said no. I said to check again. She checked again. Then said "oh yeah, hahaha, the doctor just approved this evening. Hahaha". She was laughing and I was frustrated.
So then she says "oh we don't have any other information and it looks like this is a Wisconsin Walgreens". I said, "yes, so what?" She said "oh it has to be filled in Wisconsin". I said "so you're telling that the person on the phone lied when she said it was handled and I didn't need to call first and check on it because I know you all are fairly incompetent. You are also telling me that my daughter will go without medication and you all seem to be fine with that. And lastly you are telling me, my daughter can never leave the state of Wisconsin if she is anywhere near to needed her meds filled. Is this what you're all telling me?" The tech shrugged her shoulders and at that point, I said "no more" and left, disappointed with this pharmacy yet again, aggravated, and upset that they were messing with my daughter's health at this point.
I have begun the process of transferring my scripts to Walmart for myself (5 scripts monthly), my disabled mother (9 scripts monthly), my disabled father (4 scripts monthly), and my husband (3 scripts monthly). I will also no longer be able to entertain any shopping needs there for any reason. I do not abide by corporate abuse and actually paying to be abused. Kiss my rear end Walgreens. Never again, and now I have to tell everyone I know yet again, about the crap you give people who are already frustrated, have PTSD, anxiety issues that you insist on exacerbating, and are in generally poor health (hence why were are at your pharmacy, to begin with). Goodbye and good riddance.
My final question for this pharmacy last night was, and still is, why over the phone is everything just great, just super and taken care of. Then, when you get to the pharmacy, they don't know what the hell is going on. How much confidence do you believe your patrons have for a company who cannot manage to communicate accurately and effectively from phone to person? None, that is how much. I refuse to allow you to abuse our family any further with your crap communication policies.

Yesterday I found out I've been overcharged for several years. The medicine was increased from $25.49 to $86 in a month. I have Medicare ID. This year I paid out of pocket for schedule 3 until I met $205. The meds on sch. 3 have $45 copay after contribution is met. This month I had $20 left to pay until $205. So they charged me that plus $45 copay for a med that costs $25.49. Questioned pharmacist, he said, “Well that's the price” and wouldn't allow me to dispute. I said if he will pull up computer screen it will show actual price I've been paying. He said they don't have that in computer, I should've saved every printout. I had called UHC and they said Walgreens must've raised the price. Pharmacist dived current printout and said, “See that's the price.” I said, “I know that's what you're charging this month and I want to know why it went from $25.49 to $86.” He then went to give me back my Rx. I left without filling it.
So it was then filled through OptumRx for $28. Also the other schedule 2 meds were shown on printouts for literally at least $100 per Rx more than actual price per UHC. For years I've paid $45 copay for $25.49 med and UHC has been overcharged by thousands. UHC and OpumRx only pays a small fraction of what Walgreens tells me is real cost. Now I just read that they overcharged Medicare, Medicaid and insurance companies. If you have no insurance you pay full price of more than 300% actual cost. Walgreens also kept $45 copay and billed UHC. I've been paying for 5 years and only found out what they're doing yesterday. I want to know how to address this. They won’t acknowledge that I found out the truth. Fort Wayne IN.

I have been going to Walgreens for years and have accumulated many points that I wanted to use for something later. I was told a month ago that you were now going to expire the points. Not happy, but just had to live with it. Today I went to the store. I have 67,000 points and wanted to use them to pay a $40 checkout. But your new rules would not allow me to spend more than $5 or $10 of my balance. I entered my zip code 3 times correctly with the manager watching, and it would not accept it then on the 3rd try it wouldn't let me use ANY because we tried too many times. I am disgusted with Walgreen's program now, can't use points, can only use the amount YOU decide and frankly, this stuff gives the impression of a real cheesy operation. Maybe you just want us to have the feeling of getting something, not the actual reward. I have spent a lot of money in your store and loyalty should count for something, but apparently not.
Somebody needs to realize that your policy is penny-wise and pound foolish. You have created the impression of a greedy corporate office when such loyalty costs you a little money. So shopping loyalty is worth less to Walgreens. I am done. Let's see if you even respond to this with some ACTION, as your words mean nothing.

The only reason I ever go to Walgreens is because it is my insurance's preferred pharmacy. I have never seen anything like it. Each and every time I go there or call there, there is a problem. I waited at the drive thru for 40 minutes while the pharmacist argued with this irate women. She asked the lady to pull off to the side to allow the increasingly longer line to go thru the drive thru. She would not listen. Same thing happened just a few weeks ago while I was in the store. Why are they allowing these people to back up the whole line for such a long time.
I brought 2 scripts in on Monday, they needed to be taken simultaneously. They needed to order one of the medicines. Tomorrow is Friday and I still don't have it. I asked her why they didn't check to see if another Walgreens had it. Her response was that I never asked her to do that. Please, that's a bunch of crap. It was this same pharmacist that promised that she would call me back in 30 minutes so she has time to assess the situation. She never called back. This happened a few days in a row. I must have called there a half dozen times over this few day period. Each time I called I was put on hold for no less than 20 minutes. That's 2 hours of hold time. That's INSANE. The stories I have. The list just goes on and on. I am actually surprised that you are still in business. You guys are so caught up in this big business bureaucratic bull that you totally.

Two years later our insurance under Obamacare no longer covered meds at CVS so back to Walgreens we went. If anything the service is WORSE than before the pharmacists and staff are never friendly, have only had my medicine in stock twice, have lied that my Dr. didn't call it in when I know for a fact they had and have flat out denied a prescription fill ONE DAY early due to us going out of town. I am done with these people. I guess I will try one of the local supermarkets, maybe they will at least have some personality, compassion or at least have my meds for me when they are needed.

This has happened to me a couple times but the manager Mr. ** over the pharmacy at this location really does care about customer service. He's very consumer-friendly. He always has a smile and he's more than willing always to correct the problems within the store when they arise right away before they get out of hand. The PR and customer relations this man serves to his consumer is an absolute Plus. If you go into this Walgreens ask for Mr. ** if you have any problems. Last month they had given me a partial supply because they were out of stock. No phone call when I ordered the refill... Just waited until I showed up and then told me that I could go to Hy-Vee or Cub to get it. They will not have the drug until September. This is a VERY common High Blood Pressure medication. They have been out of stock for month and expect 2 more months. They can't even bother to notify me or my doctor about the issue. At least 5 times I have sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes. I feel I partner with my physician on my healthcare and he and I do this and it's his and my business and we agree and I do not go outside the boundaries of this partnership or ask for anything above and beyond. I called to have my prescription refilled yesterday which can only be refilled monthly according to my insurance plan, and the pharmacist asked why I was calling 3 days early for this. I told him it was because I was out of refills and I was being proactive. (I'm in the medical field also and I know how this can be especially coming up on the weekend) he had the audacity to ask if I was "sharing" my script with another person or selling my medication because I should not be out 3 days early.
I couldn't believe he said such a thing. I have never in my life been asked such a thing or been accused of such a thing. I'm unsure of how to react or if a complaint to anyone would do any good. Unsure how I will continue to handle this, but Walgreens needs to school their folks on how to communicate with their patients/customers. Such accusations are very offensive.

Today was another cashier a different individual, who gave me a different price higher than yesterday, but both days the pharmacist was there overlooking the pharmacy. That is conning the customer. So I Just walked out without purchasing the product. Instead I had to rely on someone Going across the border to order something for the blister on foot. I recently had my hometown family pharmacy close down (Mikes). Mike did his ^due diligence for CVS as they I presume ^bought him out or something as he referred all his staff and customers to them and Mike is a great man whom I have personally seen handle a junkie and keep his cool and get them to calm down and leave as well as he seemed to genuinely care how ^your day was going.
CVS wouldn't take my insurance so since I work 60+ hrs a week I went to Walgreens as CVS ^told me they did. Initially they all seemed happy, thoughtful and professional. They ^told me it would take about 20 min to fill and on top of that if I gave my cell they'd text me when it was ready. By the way this is C.B. ^location and I never have written any reviews good or bad for 38 years. Lol! Well the 20 min ETA turned into a hour+ and being used to Mikes I was smh^!!! Only to ^tell me I was 3 days early? "No sir I actually have my old Rx". "Well ^it's too early come back" blah blah. So I did and was polite, patient and understanding. Arrived and picked it up on the day he ^said only to find out the price with my insurance was the same without it at Mikes lmdao! By this time I was burned on the hoop jumping and misinformation.
Went home only to see the pharmacist gave me a particular generic brand that has a rep for being possibly or hell I'll ^say it is diluted so to get the same treatment of any and I mean any other generic! You have to take them at 3 to 1 ratio. Before taking any I went back but was not only ^told "not my prob" but was treated like a junkie lmdao smh! I have had same job for 15 years and work in a very professional field and company. I ^do however have a mohawk so very likely I was stereotyped. I was stuck with them and even still managed to make them last for 28 days not 30. So having learned my lesson I went to a different pharmacy yet again and had another surprise.
The same pharmacist put one date on my actual Rx bottle and a totally different one in the system. Meaning it looked as if I was even more ^than 2 days early. The new pharmacist ^said "just go ^there and they will fix it." I did and not only would he not but he this time he ^said "^there is nothing wrong with generic I gave you." Ok maybe just standing by his product. However ^then he crossed line by ^saying and I quote "It may not give you the same high or same rush but it works the same." Smh lmdao!
While I won't ^say the Rx I take I will ^say that even a non Doctor knows that if you suffer from the affliction I ^do that the medication works opposite for those of us who really have it and therefore I don't get high or anything resembling it. On top of it all ^due to his mistake he refused to fix I now have to go 5 days without my Rx on top of the 30. So I ^say it sure seems like they have a soup ** attitude ^there and don't want or stand by ^their business slogan.

I had an instance a couple of weeks ago with someone new in the drive through, she was just rude and not at all friendly like I'm used to. I was picking up a prescription for my mother which I had gotten a text that it was ready 2 days prior. This woman said, "We don't have anything for her, what are you looking for." I told her that I had received a text that it was ready 2 days ago. She proceeded to tell me, "Well I'm sure they have put it back if you didn't pick it up." I said, "Well okay can you fill it for me" (knowing that if I don't pick it up that same day I always get a reminder text). It was mainly just her attitude that I didn't like. But I thought well maybe she's from another store filling in for someone, so I just let it go.
Well today I went back and she (Stephanie) was there again and I got the same attitude from her. She said, "It's not ready yet. Can you come back in 15 minutes." I said, "Well I was here 20 minutes ago and that's what the other lady asked me to do, so now I'm back... How long will it be." She said, "Will you just circle around so I can wait on the car behind you." When I circled around the other lady that was there helped me, she's always very nice and polite and apologized for my wait. I saw the other lady (new woman) standing over to the side and I asked what her name was and when I was told she just stared me down. I've always been very happy with Walgreens but I will not go if the new woman is there. The next time I go and she's there I will NOT deal with her. I have a feeling that Bella Vista Arkansas Walgreens facility gleefully mistreats customers and laughs about it later… all the way to the back. NEVER again going back to Walgreens. I have being going to the Bella Vista Walgreens in Arkansas for refills on medicines with a coupon that my physician gave. I have never had any problems with any pharmacy formerly as per coupon use or, if so, was quietly told the reason. Today, when I went to get a prescription refilled, the attendant chit chatted about veterans and the government in a churlish way, which gave me the impression that she did not really like vets and vets receiving benefits. She looked up private information and asked me how I pronounced my Slavic former name, not in use for many years. My husband is a veteran. The clerk stated that this coupon given to me by my physician couldn't be used.
There was a long line, and she went on to lecture in an extremely loud tone that I could not use this card. If I had filled the prescription previously, this was an "illegal" act. {I am not so sure if that is true.} She used this increasingly loud, reprimanding voice as if I were a criminal. She was ready to place my prescription in the waste basket. I asked for the prescription back and I made another RX purchase which I deeply regret. My husband (the VET) later called the Bella Vista Arkansas Walgreens store manager. My husband told me that the store manager said there was a big disagreement between his wife and the attendant. The clerk had been at Walgreens for 28 years and "knew what she was doing".
So, the manager blamed the conflict on me. In truth, I found the clerks statements very hard to believe as she had such a condescending, disrespectful attitude. I then spoke to the manager and TRIED to say I had to find the truth out from another source because of the clerk's mean-spirited harsh approach, which would be my doctor or my insurance. The manager was too busy sticking up for the attendant. BUT... this clerk treated me as if I was a crook. So, she has worked for Walgreens for... 28 years? Really? I am shocked. A good company would have found a new attendant replacement 28 years ago.

They just kept hanging up on me and making me wait so finally I got tired and tried the Walgreens on 10152 LAKE JUNE RD, Dallas, TX 75217 and the results were completely opposite. Friendly staff and not giving people the run around.
This is common all over Texas. There are plenty of businesses that allow their employees to mistreat their customers and at the same time there are plenty that have very friendly staff. I have found that it all depends on the attitude of whoever is in charge over the unfit staff. They are not fit themselves to run a business and interact with customers.

Walgreens Store #09044 Palm Beach Gardens FL on 6 Jun 17 - Bought 10ea. Advertised cost buy 1 get one free of various vitamins, a 50% full price sale reduction, instead of the 50% reduction they only gave me a 20% reduction for being a "senior" over 50. They shouldn't ask you if you are a senior, then throw out any discounts that are higher than the senior discount. Don't be confused, I was not expecting a 20% senior discount on the already 50% discount. I was expecting a 50% discount as advertised. They overcharged me 30%! Be warned, check your Walgreens receipts with a calculator! I did go back to the store and they made it straight but not without pushback on me, and never once did I hear the word "sorry", I believe it was an intentional scam, and the only thing they were sorry about was the fact that I caught them.

Today I spent 2 hours at my doctor's with my three children and picked up my ** script there. We left the doctor's and went to the Walgreens that is closest; the same one that I have been getting my script filled at, once a month, for the past 4 years. We are leaving for Florida tomorrow so when they refused to fill it because it was 2 days early I was shocked. I take no other meds at all but have taken my ADHD medicine for the past 12 years. I had my share of problems in the past with Walgreens and would not use their pharmacy except the brand that I take is the only kind I can. This is due to an earlier allergic reaction to another brand. Trust me I tried other pharmacies. However, I thought that after finding a Walgreens that did not require a doctor's confirmation phone call and a call to the insurance company every single time I was finally out of the drama.
Then today I realized that they had a new pharmacist. Now I will have to attempt to get my script filled out of state. I think it is insane after being a customer for so long and filling the same exact script from the same exact doctor every month that filling it two days early would be an issue. I know that their policy allows them to fill it up to three days early at the pharmacist discretion. Basically, if they don't think I'm a drug addict then they can fill it, so I guess they think I am. Not only are they causing me a lot of issues with my trip, they are also insulting. But I have no choice but to continue using them. I thought that was supposed to be illegal.
My pharmacist is not a doctor. He did not go to medical school and he has no right to decided when I or anyone else should or should not receive a prescription written by a highly respected doctor. If my doctor thought it a concern then he would not have put today's date on it. They are not trained to make these types of medical decisions and according to the DEA's policy, they are suppose to fill it. Apparently, Walgreens believes it is its own government and that they do not have to follow federal laws.

I have been a chronic pain patient for 20 years. I have a prescription dated yesterday, a personal note on the prescription from my doctor, but Walgreens pharmacists refuse to give me my prescription because they "aren't comfortable with it" because it's being refilled early. They ran it through my insurance, who covered it, filled it, just won't sell it. This is NOT the first or only time I've had problems with Walgreens. Every time I attempt to refill my pain medication, it takes an act of God to get! I understand pharmacists reserve this right, but as a patient and consumer, I reserve the right to be treated fairly and without bias!
I understand there is an epidemic, but I'm not part of that problem. What I don't understand is why a pharmacist is acting as my physician now. They are not medical doctors. They do not know me, the situation, or circumstances. This mistreatment has caused so much anxiety that I can no longer refill my own prescriptions, anywhere. I have to make my husband take them. This mistreatment has triggered my depression, making me feel hopeless and worthless. Again, I understand pharmacists are trying to prevent abuse, but the only thing they are preventing is continued business. I am not part of the problem and shouldn't be treated like I am.

I've been a customer of Walgreens for more than 10 years and the previous pharmacy for another 10 years. Since they expanded to the new building, the wait times have become ludicrously long. My wait times are on average 35 minutes, I've documented then and have done the math - I'M TALKING ABOUT PHONE CALL WAIT TIMES!!! Not only that, but then leaving a message to have somebody - the manager or pharmacist or ANYBODY call me back never happens. I'm disabled and I can't always go into the store. I called for the manager FIVE TIMES today, AFTER 35 to 45-minute wait each time I was told he was on the phone and he would call me back on a few minutes. Then when I finally called back at 5:30 they said he left for the day!!! WITHOUT EVER calling me.
I see this is a common trend now with all Walgreens across the board as I continue to review them. Walgreens is turning into the big box stores like Home Depot and Lowe's that put the little hardware stores out of business with zero customer service. And the customer service that you DO get is CRAP!!!! WILL WALGREENS GET THIS? OR AM I JUST PISSING IN THE WIND TO HEAR MYSELF SPEAK? PLEASE LMK. I want Walgreen's corporate to know just how RIDICULOUS this store (Rossville Ave Staten island, N.Y.) is. Please advise. Thank you.

Walgreens on Washington St in Hartford are TERRIBLE. This is a long story but I feel it's necessary to tell it because others need to know how bad their store is. The other day I went there to fill a prescription. While I waited I walked to the medicine aisle to see if the had a certain brand of product I needed. I returned to the pharmacy area and pulled out of my purse a makeup kit I was given as a gift and applied some lipstick. When I was done at the pharmacy I was on my way out when 3 store employees cornered me and said, "What's in your bag mam?" I looked at them in dismay because they were so rude and loud and I was completely caught off guard. The 'manager', a black woman told me to come with her to the office. They told me to sit down and for the next 45 minutes I was accused and treated like a common criminal for a theft I did not commit.
I asked why they were doing this and I was told that a store employee said she saw me in the makeup aisle putting something in my purse. I was never in the makeup aisle!!! I told them to look at the cameras and they would see that I did not steal anything. She said in a derogatory tone, "Oh, we will, don't worry". I said, "Good, then you will owe me a huge apology cause I'm not a thief or a liar." Let me tell you, that before all three of them huddled around the screen, they kept giving me dirty looks and flat out had decided I had done this. The 'manager' then said, "Just admit it, you did this, you can sign a paper saying you stole and will never come back here or I have the power to call the police and put you in jail."
By now I was terribly upset and kept trying to defend myself because they hadn't even looked thoroughly at the video and had made up their minds. She then said, "If you don't sign it and cause you have no ID I'm just going to call the police," I said, "PLEASE DO!!!" She antagonized me saying things like, 'You are lying', and 'Oh it's such a nice day out. I bet you just want to go home, well you can if you just admit what you did.' I kept saying I would not admit to something I did not do and that I wanted to know what the camera showed. She said in a very demeaning tone that they did not have to show me ANYTHING because they already knew. I told them that the employee was lying but it fell on deaf ears.
After many dirty looks and her with this mightier than thou attitude, because she even had the gall to say that whether I go to jail or not, is in HER power alone, and being judged as guilty, they finally came out and she said, "Here's your makeup back mam," which by the way they happen to sell the same makeup. I then said, "I would like an apology now for them judging me before they had the facts," that really bothered me the most, they were awful in the way they treated me, and they looked at me with blank stares, and yes NO APOLOGY!!! In fact, all the 'manager' had to say to me was, "Well I never accused you." Are you SERIOUS!? That is ALL she did and more.
As I left I told them that yep, that's what I thought, cause I proved them wrong and now they look stupid. They would not give me a simple "I'm sorry." I am absolutely DISGUSTED with this store and the level of total incompetence, and that they right away treated me like a common criminal. I will NEVER go back there. One of the employees that cornered me actually had the nerve to say 'have a nice day mam' with sarcasm. When I did not reply he said it again as if I had wronged HIM. I am not only APPALLED at how they treated me, but this store as a whole is terribly run, and the staff are a miserable bunch and rude and unprofessional. So beware, if you go into Walgreens in Hartford CT, on Washington street, this could also happen to you. They are just HORRIBLE. They should be ashamed of themselves because they make other Walgreens stores look bad. I am simply DISGUSTED.

I was a customer at the Walgreens on 7 mile and Middlebelt, used GoodRx with no problem there, ever. But one day I was on a boat and basically my purse fell into the Detroit River as I jumped between the dock and boat. So I told my Dr. and he understood and wrote me a new script, but insurance won't pay for early refill. It's out of your pocket. And I found out that day that the pharmacy manager doesn't have to fill it, under her discretion. I don't have a car, I rode my bike to my Dr., to the pharmacy that said, "No, I am not going to fill it", I rode my bike in so much pain for 21 miles to get my meds. She also yelled it in front of everyone, showing no respect to me, and throwing her "power trip" around in front of customers and employees (What's the consultation area for?). It was obvious what she was doing.
I wrote to Walgreens, and received a call from store manager, who basically told me it is her decision, but apologized for her behavior. She was disciplined and treated me with respect, after the complaint was made. It made her a better person, and treated me with respect after the complaint was made, but it never changed how crazy busy they are making me wait 2 hours to fill my medication, that is definitely because they have a horrible system in place on how they fill meds, they need to change the system to run smoothly and efficiently, they have enough staff back there, so that's no explanation on unorganized the system they have in place. This part of the story is Part One, Walgreens I thinking all areas in Michigan are horrible, and act like they are efficient, they are far from it. Part two if gets worse, coming right up, lol.

I asked them to call other Walgreens pharmacies and none had them, and Walgreen would not transfer the 4 prescriptions to other pharmacies so I had to ask my doctor to resend to other pharmacies.
After my surgery, I had to pick up eye drops which again this pharmacy does not keep in stock and after calling numerous other Walgreens, found one and I had to travel there. The pharmacist was incredibly rude. She completely shut down when I was talking to her and then lied saying that it was United States law not to allow a controlled substance not to be refilled more than 2 days early. I told her that wasn't true which only made her more mad. She crossed her arms and said VERY rudely "Well it's our store policy now."
It seems like every year there is a new pharmacy manager right out of school who has no interest in customer satisfaction, they are there to be a roadblock to people getting their medication. They automatically assume anyone with a controlled substance is an addict. This manager LIED to me about a law and then was nasty and rude when I said it wasn't true. I told them I am going to transfer this script to another pharmacy. She didn't care as long as I wasn't getting it filled today. I was in the doctor's office May 4th 2017 and I receive my regular prescriptions that I get every month. I took the prescriptions to my Walgreens Pharmacy 1215 Dunn Avenue. They didn't have the meds that I needed so they told me to go to another Walgreens on the next day which would have been a Saturday because most Walgreens do not fill on the 29th day. They fill on the 30th day so I waited until Saturday I went to the Walgreens on Lem Turner and Dunn. Went in there they said that they could not fill my prescription because they are not my home pharmacy. But my home pharmacy is closed on Saturday so I went to the Walgreens on Soutel. They said that they couldn't fill it because it's some code that's not in there. Both tell me I have to make them my home store which I am standing here with four prescriptions that needed to be filled and they could have filled them and that would have been my home store.
They said starting filling your prescription at this store and that's how you make the change but OK I am here with them and there's nothing wrong with the prescription. It's the same ones every month. They're crazy so I am with no understanding of how to change my home store. No prescriptions. Not one of my meds until Monday and it's wrong. Doesn't make sense because my Walgreens Pharmacy on Dunn told me that I can get it filled at Walgreens on the 30th date but neither one of these Walgreens wanted to fill my prescription. One of my prescriptions is an anxiety pill. I have what you call Prolonged QT syndrome and my doctor will give me this pills to help keep me calm because it's triggered my prolonged stress is number one cause of it going off and everyone for some reason don't want to fill or can't fill and they completely gave me a runaround all day this Saturday.
Tricare made a big mistake when they came back to Walgreens because each one of the pharmacist told me something different. Neither one of the pharmacy was on the same page each other. They have no idea what pharmacy rules are and I really thought that all the rules was the same at every Walgreens Pharmacy. I left with no understand why I couldn't get my meds that I get every month. The same time every month is in the system, is in the registry and I could not get a fill without going back to my main Walgreens. I don't how do I change Walgreens. One my Walgreens is not open on a Saturday. So confusing, so frustrated.
I'm filing this complaint because Walgreens is a joke. If there's an emergency be aware that if your Walgreens is not open 24 hours and it is an emergency you will have trouble filling your prescription because they're going to tell you, "You have to wait until your home Walgreens is open." Consumers be aware of that and if it's any narcotics you cannot get it filled. None of the Walgreens will fill it. None of the Walgreens even though they're looking at your prescriptions and seen that you filling every month. They will not fill them so will be aware and stay up on Walgreens because they're a joke.
Miss CVS. I wish Tricare would go back to CVS because Walgreens is rude they will give you the runaround and they just don't care. Monday I guess I'll see what happens. Like I told Walgreens if anything happens to me between now and Monday I will sue them for not being able to get my meds. I might just looking to a lawyer. Anyway never seen nothing like this, not acceptable.

So I went to my car and called the store from my phone. I asked for the store manager on duty. The person on the phone said that they were the manager on duty. I asked for his name, which he said was Carl. Carl's voice sounded familiar to me so I asked Carl if he was the front cashier that I spoke to about the rude pharmacist. He said yes, he was whom I spoke to. I asked Carl, "you're the store manager of this Walgreens and you don't know the name of the store pharmacist on duty?" I asked Carl for his last name, which he refused to give. This kind of service is so, so wrong on so many different levels. I'm thinking about speaking to an attorney about suing Walgreens about this service.

I been a customer of Walgreens for over 10 yrs until last month that I had to switch to CVS due to a racist pharmacist at my local store. He came with over 10 excuses to not give me my meds and in the top of that when I went to the Walgreens I used before I moved to this city, they called him to ask him why he didn't fill my meds. He blocked me from all the stores causing me travel back to my house and switch all my meds to CVS.

The doctor called in a prescription for me at 1:00 PM. I went to the drive-through at 4:05 PM. One car was in front of me. I got to the window at 4:35. I could not see anybody in the window because it was filthy dirty, I did not hear anything over that loudspeaker, I managed to see there was someone standing there and I said, "If you are talking to me I cannot hear you." She did not say anything. I said, "I am here to pick up a prescription for Carlette **."
The person held up a bag real close to the window and I was able to see the name, so I said yes that is it. She opens the drawer and the prescription is in the drawer, I placed my debit card in the drawer. She then closes the drawer and runs my card through. Then opens the drawer with my receipt. No thank you, no hello welcome to Walgreen... Not a word was said to me!!! I was so frustrated I did not even look at the price. I drove away and looked at the price then I realize maybe she did not run my insurance. I called the store and was on hold for 26 minutes so I hung up very very frustrated. I shall never go again.

The Walgreens in Goodlettsville, TN has some of the rudest people I have ever meet in the pharmacy. Ask to be taken off the auto call, because I am not using this medication now. Was argued with about how this lets you know when meds are needed. I informed them if it's an important prescription I will be watching it. Appears this is one of their sell tactics to automatically call and set up more refills. If it's important I know when it's empty! Just another time when they prefer to fill your prescription at their convenience, not the customer's. How long does it take to put 30 pills in a bottle? Good luck here.

Called in a refill to Walgreens pharmacy on their phone system for a skin treatment cream. The system said that it would be ready the following day after 10:00 am. When I arrived I was told that they had to contact my doctor because I had used a 30 day supply too fast. The clerk said "I don't know how large of an area is affected, but that was a thirty day supply." Found this to be a little bold of a statement to make in a public area full of people waiting for prescriptions. I'm fairly sure she wasn't qualified to judge anyway. I left and they called the doctor they claim and had him issue another prescription for another product.
When my wife picked up the prescription, they told her that they changed the prescription because the insurance wouldn't cover the other cream until 30 days went by. I would have liked to have had the option as a customer to pay for the medicine myself rather than face their control of my health. The current situation is this, I called in the cream again yesterday and again the system said it would be available for pickup today after 10 am. This morning Walgreens called and said that there was a problem with the insurance again. Now it's 1:10 pm and I have no idea what they're doing. Thanks for a place to vent!

Walgreens on Silverlake Rd. Fenton Mi and their newest pharmacist Courtney are horrible. I understand many of us seem to complain due to a scheduled drug we are prescribed by our doctor. First let me say if you feel we are truly addicts who are only complaining because we can't get our "drugs" you could not be further than the truth. Of course there are many who abuse these medications but many of us do not and deserve respect and to be treated with respect, like normal people picking up our prescriptions without judgment and stating that medication out loud which clearly goes against HIPPA laws but Walgreens seems to be exempt.
Yes the DEA tried to crack down stating that narcotic drugs are killing more people than any other drug. However I highly doubt that. Alcohol has always been a number one killer but you can walk in a store and get 151 proof vodka without as much as a look? Unbelievable! A bit of history about myself, I never needed any prescription drugs! I was healthy and took Advil for a headache that's it!! Life happens and diseases creep up and no it's not always cancer that requires pain meds. Many diseases cause terrible and chronic pain and if you're faced with taking a medicine like ** for life or suffering I believe most will choose the medicine.
I have tried EVERY other home remedy out there, yoga, ridiculous things I see online, barbaric surgeries that have made me worse, medications where I lost my hair and gained 30 lbs, I have tried everything! My DOCTOR has been on this journey with me and is ok with prescribing pain medications so that I may have some quality of life.
However, Walgreens has appointed themselves physicians and the judge and jury when it comes to if you will get your pain medication through them. In my case Courtney the pharmacist at my local Walgreens has made it her point to make this an impossibility and has went against all HIPPA laws and common decency. She will not be fired however because every year this pharmacy has a new face. Seven years of coming to Walgreens off and on and I lost count of how many pharmacist they have had. All pharmacist there; no different than the last because Walgreens corporation will defend the unethical decisions and actions of their pharmacies.
Since being highly fined (Look up Walgreens fined by DEA) when the DEA first made ** a scheduled drug some years back, it was never a scheduled drug prior to this new law which has caused many of us in chronic pain to suffer. Every case is different but perhaps if you ask some of us we can share our story of why we are even getting a pain medication. Does anyone honestly believe that given the choice of absolutely no pain or a lifetime of pain meds that most would not choose no pain?
If ever they want to try and find a cure for what causes my pain I will be so very happy but in the meantime pharmacies like Walgreens needs a course on human decency 101 and to be reminded why they even have a job in the first place. Lying about not having a medication, stating insurance does not cover something it has for over five years, stating very loudly "I will not refill your NARCOTIC", being rude, slow, making up rules as they see fit, using their "discretion" to call your doctor and state you should not be on a medication, refusing to refill my prescription and just being an overall jerk have been my past and more recent experiences with Walgreens and other pharmacists.
Something has to be done! Pharmacist are NOT physicians and if they feel want to be, they should have simply went to medical school to be a doctor. I know the politics involved, I came very close to being in the medical field myself but life events stopped this. It's simply an epidemic lately but nobody will be accountable let alone make a change that will allow customers the right to be treated with a minuscule of respect.

I am truly hating the Walgreens and BCBS partnership. Walgreens is by far the worst in customer service in the pharmacy business. Always understaffed, and a long wait is almost assured every time I go. 2nd BCBS of IL PPO is the worst as well. They tell you, "We cover 100% generic," but I get a cough syrup mix prescribed by the doctor, and I ask for generic, and I get generic, but then I am told by Walgreens that the drug was denied. I ask why, and they say, "I don't know."
I called BCBS of IL and they say that one of the drugs in the mix is not covered. I ask and press and say that all the drugs in the mix are generic, and they say that even though it is generic there is a list of generic drugs that are not covered. So, I was misled through my employers information that says all generics are covered at 100%. Nevertheless, I was upset, and was hit with a bill of $40 for cough syrup. This is after waiting an hour in line at the Pharmacy line. Thank you for a truly great customer service experience from 2 companies that are very poor at customer service! !

I had 13 teeth pulled at the dentist. I went to fill my meds. The pharmacist called the dentist and told them I am on a patch for pain (I am for my back but it's not a narcotic). Thanks to them the dentist canceled my pain medication. Now I am stuck with 13 teeth pulled out and the whole bottom stitched up and nothing for pain. I am now moving all my meds over to a different pharmacy and NEVER using them again!

Everyone at my pharmacy is pleasant and knowledgeable and very helpful. I especially like the text message alerts when my scripts are due for refill and the one touch refill order app. Walgreens has a convenient 24 hour drive thru and that is important to me as walking is difficult.

We have found Walgreens Polaris to be great. They have a good pharmacy and are very helpful. We shop there for most of the non prescription meds we use. Plus skin care, shampoos, toothpaste and many other products we use. They have a great rewards program. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
