Walgreens charged $29.98 for 4 2" passport photos. Other companies charge $7.44 for 2 passport photos, half of Walgreens price. Plus the lady did not show me the photo before printing it or offer the option of another take when the photo was really bad.

I received a message from "Walgreens" that a prescription was due. I ordered it and received a response that it would be ready with a scheduled pick up time. When made a special 30 mile trip to pick up, the pharmacy tech informed me "it was too early." I explained that I had received instructions it was but that did not matter. I spoke with manager "Mike" and was informed that the message was generated by a "third party" and that he would speak with his manager about the problem. I requested to be contacted, but nobody called. I got another message that another Rx was due. Again the same run around. So TWO wasted trips.THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS!!! I have written before and nobody ever responded. Website contact form does not work. I will be posting this on Google and every forum I can find. I am now in the process of transferring all my monthly scripts to Optum Rx, mail order. Thanks for nothing. Edward **

I recently took a paper prescription in (narcotics can't be transmitted by the doctor's office, or so they tell me) and got a call a few hours later telling me they were temporarily out of that med. Fine, no big deal, I said because I still had a few pills from my last script. A few days later, I still hadn't heard anything so I gave Walgreens a call back to see what the deal was. The person I initially spoke to put the pharmacy manager on the phone and he told me they didn't know anything about a written prescription and that they wouldn't have kept that on file. You're going to first tell me you're out of the meds, lose (or someone stole) my prescription and then basically tell me tough luck?!? I called my doctor right then and there so they could handle it and make sure the written prescription was never allowed to be filled. I never found out what happened to the written script but luckily, no one was able to use it. That was my last time ever using Walgreens.

Consistently refuses to keep my son's medication in stock. This last time, they had the prescription for more than 2 weeks and still had not ordered it. Was told they would order when they order it, but that they don’t control what the truck brings. By now my doctor had sent the prescription over 2x. This is a prescription that my son has to have filled and has been on for almost 2 years so it’s not like it’s new and they weren’t aware.

The staff does not know how to process medical supplies thru Medicare. We actually had to have a Medicare rep call the pharmacy and walk them thru it last month. Well guess what, this month the same problem happened again where they said Medicare denied it. With all of this frustration, this is the last, very last straw with Walgreens Pharmacy. I have sent letters to corporate, spoken with store manager and the Pharmacist directly and we continue to have issues. There is something wrong there, don’t know exactly what but we are done with it. Also, they could have told us on Friday that it was denied so we could have called Medicare then instead of us having to find out on a Saturday, which means Walgreens does nothing till Monday. Well guess what Walgreens, Medicare is open on Saturday on the general customer services number I found on Google. You couldn’t even try to reach them for us. Laziness is also your issue. Bye.

Received opened household products from walgreens.com. Spent forever on the phone to get replacements sent to me. Realized after a couple weeks they shipped to a local store instead. Local store showed the packages were shipped but in 4 weeks not received. Spent a half hour at the store with manager trying to figure it out but couldn’t. Called Walgreens again to just get a refund and not deal with them anymore. Spent another 50 mins on the phone holding and processing to get my refund. Hours of my life all for products totaling $15 that I never even got. Never again. I’ll stick with CVS and Target from now on, thanks. Ridiculously poor customer service and quality control.

When I receive partial prescription they charge full copayment. When they fill balance they charge full copay. I was charged three times for same prescription. When asking pharmacist about charges he said it’s because of the insurance I chose. I was never notified that they would keep charging me because they didn’t have enough product. I have also been experiencing lost prescription and the doctor shows me they were on the list sent to pharmacy. When I tried to talk to pharmacist about problem he did not care just blaming everything on my insurance co. I am checking with insurance but don’t see how it is their fault that pharmacy loses rx and don’t keep meds in stock. Bottom line is I will not shop at Walgreens again. They called and offered free prescription but I will not accept. Don’t want to ever deal with this pharmacy again. Walgreens in Inverness, Fl. Needs to teach customer service to their rude pharmacy.

The last time picking up a prescription, I had to pay because the technician did not know how to bill straight Medi-Cal. He kept saying the system wanted him to bill another provider, which we had not enrolled in yet. He told me that I had to call Medi-Cal myself and find out what the issue was and “when the snag is cleared up, you can bring in the receipt, we can resubmit the charge to the insurance and we will issue a refund.” He said nothing about any time limits. This was on July 12. I spoke to a Medi-Cal rep on July 29, who informed me there is no problem and we should not have been charged. I returned to Walgreens on July 30 to be informed by a different technician who tells me “sorry, we do not issue refunds past 7 days”. How is it that the store has one policy, but the pharmacy has a different one. And it is not posted anywhere.

The previous month, yet another tech was able to bill Medi-Cal properly and I was not charged. This time, I am penalized due to no fault of mine, but their incompetence. And are expecting me to do all of the leg work: call Medi-Cal, request reimbursement, file forms, make copies and wait for the state to send me refund check, when all they have to do is type a few keys on a computer. Its not as if I want to return something, just refund money that I never should have had to pay in the first place.

I have been a customer of Walgreens Pharmacy for a long time. Recently I have been receiving calls about their Save A Trip Program. First what upsets me is they use my own Walgreens phone number even though this is a call from a call center in Florida. Each time I have received this call I have told them I DO NOT WANT THIS SERVICE. Today I received a call again with my Walgreens phone number on the caller ID but the call is coming from a call center. The person on the phone would not take no for an answer. He kept telling me I obviously didn’t under the service and continued on his sales pitch until I hung up on him. This the problem: If I block this call on my phone it blocks my pharmacy from being able to call me.

Second I had a stranger selling a Walgreens Program that had all my personal information including all my prescriptions! I am so uncomfortable about this. I am getting a new pharmacy today. I think this a very deceptive act on behalf of Walgreens. If I want another service from Walgreens I will do it in person at my own pharmacy. I have used this particular pharmacy located in Dallas Texas and have been so very happy with the high quality of respect and care I receive from them. What is sad is I have to move all my prescriptions to another chain of drug stores because it is more important to you “Walgreens “ to hire a staff of aggressive sales people, misrepresent the location you are calling from, and won’t take no for an answer.

My online Walgreens account has been closed also. They are extremely negligent in their duties and responsibilities to customers. I am furious at this point. Smh they got a bad review from me because every time I call that pharmacy and that pharmacist is there she's very rude over the phone.

I have to go speak with them in person today and I won't be doing any more business with Walgreen's because of this. You can't just change folks medicine without permission from the person or doctor because had she asked me if it was alright to change it I would have told her, "To be safe I'm going to check with my Doctor first." Several weeks ago I called Walgreens to report an issue regarding a Walgreens branded product that didn't perform to expectations. I was referred to the manufacturer. It had been several weeks and I hadn't heard anything from the manufacturer; when I called them to check on the status of my report, they said that refunds needed to come from Walgreens. So, I called Walgreens customer service department again and explained the situation. This time I didn't get the runaround and was pleasantly surprised when the representative promptly and cheerfully "deposited points" into my rewards account, enough points to cover the cost of the branded product that did not meet my expectations.

The reason I've designated the experience as only "4-stars" instead of five is because although the experience speaking to the representative was very pleasant and I am happy to have received points, it's not a "100% satisfied" situation to me because of how the Walgreens rewards program currently works. My understanding is that now when points are built up, you can't use a whole lot of them in one transaction; points seem to work more like coupons now where perhaps the most you can apply to a transaction is maybe only $5.00. If $5.00 is the maximum that can be redeemed in a single transaction, that wouldn't be enough to even cover the replacement cost of the unsatisfactory product in the Walgreens brand, much less to purchase a name brand replacement.

Yes, they've awarded points to cover the cost spent for the unsatisfactory product (and even with extra points beyond -- for which I am grateful!) but it would be better to be able to just get a free replacement product and not have to pay sales tax twice (once on the original unsatisfactory item and again when it's a new sale for the replacement, but with points that work like a coupon). (Tax generally isn't collected on even exchanges.) If all the points received could be redeemed all at once, then that would be a five-star experience!

I have gone to Walgreens for years. It’s a busy location and there were always mistakes, but I stupidly stuck with them. One day the entire staff was replaced with different techs and pharmacists. The manager, J, told me it was her 1st time managing, and that was obvious. The older woman pharmacist, G. ran all over her. She argued everything- not only with me but I observed it more times than I could count. I always had to ask her to stop interrupting me because I couldn’t finish the question. G also informed that what the doctor said didn’t matter, she overruled all doctors.

Another issue was shortages. I was short of heart medication and potassium. It was one each, twice with the potassium. Then I was short a controlled substance by 5 pills. I always open them in front of family members and count because they too have issues with shortages. I knew there was no way I could prove I was short that many but called and asked if they could at least check inventory, and see if another prescription was filled when mine was since it was near a holiday and even more chaotic. I was told in the past a recount takes an hour. The tech asked me to bring the bottle back, which I did. Six minutes later the abusive pharmacist G said they had already done a count, had circled the number on my bottle, I was wrong and could call the manager and walked away.

When the manager came in I called, told her what happened, said yet again I said I had no way of proving it but since I was going to have to let my doctor know because it affected my treatment I wanted to see what happened. J the manager said she would watch the tapes, and said her counts matched and she didn’t see the tech putting any in his pocket.

I told her the tech was always helpful, and I didn’t think he would steal, that either they were in someone else’s bottle or the floor. I did tell her I found G’s behavior odd, as I didn’t understand why she was so rude, I had made zero accusations and didn’t understand how she could have heard the whole situation, waited on other customers and done a recount in six minutes. J said they would do a recount at my next pickup for my medications in front of me, but didn’t know if G would be willing so I would have to wait until she was in. That’s crazy! I was resigned to switch after the holiday because this was not working.

Unfortunately my doctor’s office sent my last prescription to them as it was still in the system. I called to ask why it was sitting there, and the tech was rude, put G on the phone who said they would no longer fill any of my prescriptions and if I didn’t like it call J on Monday. I was floored - now I am wondering if someone did steal those pills. How do I know the counts matched, the manager watched the tape, etc. Here is where I find things legally cloudy. I called another Walgreens and she called the other one, said this didn’t come from corporate (who I had called twice about G and never received a call back), it was that store only. The last I talked to J, the manager, she said things would be checked on my next visit. Which means G is behind this, it would appear, since there is no one else. With missing controlled substance pills, my question is why? And no notification?

On 6/30/19 I placed my first and probably last online order with Walgreens. I opted for the online ordering option for vitamin supplements, shave cream and dye-free low dose aspirin because I could save add'l money plus get a rebate. I carefully looked at the delivery time frame and saw that I could get it delivered to my home in 1-2 days and it would be longer if I had it delivered to the store and picked it up from there. Using Walgreen's estimation of 1-2 days for delivery, I figured I'd get the package no later than Wednesday, assuming there might be a processing day in there too. I got an order confirmation email right away and on Monday, July 1st I got a shipment confirmation saying the delivery would be Friday, July 5th. I am disappointed in the shipping/delivery and don't recommend to anyone who is in need of products quickly. WM, Sarasota, FL

Walgreens is running a game on patients that frequent their pharmacies. The plan is called the Exclusive Smart90SM/Walgreens Program and for the laymen, also known as the Walgreens 90 day prescription program. It was initiated in 2009. Basically, it works like this: you purchase a ninety day supply of medications and the out of pocket cost or co-pay is higher than a thirty day fill. It must be a maintenance drug, i.e., pills that are necessary over an extended period of time. Patients are taken off maintenance medicines everyday by their doctors and switched over to another med. So if you’re at the thirty day mark, you are stuck with sixty pills. So, the patient has already paid the co-pay, if not the entire cost, if he or she has no insurance. Walgreens pharmacy already has their money as does the drug manufacturer. The patient has no recourse.

Walgreens website states about returning drugs: “By law, we cannot accept returns of prescription products for reuse or resale.” Sixty wasted pills, why not find a way to redistribute them? Or refund the patient. At my Walgreens pharmacy, they really push the ninety day program. Innumerable texts, telephone calls and the pharmacist more than willing to speak to you about it.

Inventory management is very bad: they often don't have drugs in stock. They say they need to place an order, expecting customer to return the next day to pick it up. What is the point of a pharmacy -- you go to them with a prescription and they should have it. This has happened with 3 different drugs -- so not unusual for Walgreens. More importantly, drug quality cannot be relied upon. Walgreens does not ensure quality medications.

Twice have been given medicine that was COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE. One was a pain killer after surgery, for which I even filed a formal FDA complaint. This was supposed to be a strong pain killer, and I have a low tolerance for drugs, so I was very surprised when the dosage did absolutely nothing. Then I took a second pill, which I never need to do. NO EFFECT. That's when I contacted FDA and gave them all the data (because there are problems in general with controlled substances being intercepted by people who are stealing the drugs and replacing with fakes, so I thought it important that FDA be made aware that Walgreens was selling something that was obviously fake). When I told Walgreens about the issue, they had no interest, even when I told them that FDA had been formally notified. Walgreens couldn't care less and probably continued to sell that drug.

Second was a generic version of **. Completely ineffective. I had been using CVS pharmacy for years for this drug, so I was very familiar with how effective it should be. Only when I switched to Walgreens did the generic stop being effective. Discovered that Walgreens uses a different generic supplier than CVS -- and apparently this supplier is providing a terrible version. They could use a better supplier (the one CVS uses) but Walgreens apparently doesn't care about efficacy as much as they do about their profit margins.

Had my doctor prescribe brand name, then Walgreens doesn't have it and has to special order it. What?! It's a common medicine. Pharmacist says, "Well, we only have 1 patient that uses this, so we only order enough for that 1 person." That's absurd for a large pharmacy. I ended up switching back to CVS. (I thought their service wasn't good because they're so busy, but at least their drugs actually work as intended). Walgreens has quality control problems!

I requested a refill on my meds and chose delivery - I was told within a few days I would receive it. It's been 15 days and I still don't have it. When I submitted it I noticed they had my correct street address, but wrong city/zip. I immediately called and they corrected it, or so they told me. I noticed on tracking that they tried to deliver at incorrect address and therefore sent it back.

When I called again they had not updated address but since I was out of my meds they said they would contact local Walgreen's and I could pick up a few at no cost to me to get me by until mine came in. I get a message from Walgreen's stating it was ready. I drive 40 miles to get it and was told I owed the full cash amount because it was too early with insurance to get them again. After numerous attempts to tell them what happened they refused to do anything. I told them to just keep it and I left. So now I'm still without my meds and I'm leaving tomorrow to go out of town for a week. NEVER will I do this again.... Very disappointed in not only the delivery service but the staff at the local Walgreen's.

Walgreens final complaint. Initial call to Walgreens was at 10:18 PM to refill ** (90 day supply). I was on hold for 2 hours 14 minutes. Second call at 1:24 AM, spoke to Gina, explained the situation and that I still needed to reach the pharmacy. She said she would put me on hold and page the pharmacist to pickup. He did in < 2 minutes. The pharmacist on duty refused to give me his name. I asked 3 times. I then asked if he was refusing to give me his name and he said to me (2-3 times), “You can call me Doctor.” I told the Doctor how long I was on hold and he angrily told me he didn’t put anyone on hold. “I was at the register all night dealing with customers.”

Personally, I was afraid of pursuing the matter, lest he refuse me my prescription. After taking the prescription information, the Doctor went on to berate me about getting the Walgreens app. “You need to get the app.” He said I should get a smart phone. I told him I have one and his response was, “Any blind person can use a smart phone.” During the whole interaction this Doctor was extremely rude and antagonistic towards me.

Walgreens, you are the same corporate pharmacy, along with a PCP that screwed up my insulin prescriptions, in 2014-2015. The result was a trip to urgent care and then the ER, suffering a mini stroke (TIA) and blood sugars over 500. My memory and cognitive abilities suffered during that time and I believe I still struggle because of the TIA. But, I believe the culprit was this same “Mr. DOCTOR”, located at a different Walgreens. I would go to the pharmacist explaining I kept running out of insulin. He insisted nothing had changed in my prescription over time and I, the patient, was doing something wrong. “No, Walgreens and the PCP were not on the same page.” That pharmacist was usually distressed, angry and rude to me and others.

My third call was at 1:31 AM to speak with a store manager to make a complaint. Again, Gina responded and said she was the manager for the night. She was very polite, caring and represented Walgreens professionally. She gave me the pharmacist first name, Curtis. Gina agreed to speak with him and leave a message for the day manager to call me. Curtis, on the other hand, a Walgreens professional, showed nothing but insolence and disrespect towards me from the first word out of his mouth tonight. Walgreens, please understand: “NO one deserves to be treated this way, especially the sick and handicapped!”

The Rx was not in stock and was needed to be ordered. I was informed on Wednesday that the Rx would be processed for ordering, I explained that I would pay cash price for the Rx.

I called the pharmacy on Thursday to check the status and was informed at that time that the Rx had not been ordered because the pharmacist had not yet cleared it. I was promised that an “additional” order would be placed for the Rx to prevent any further delay in getting the Rx in a timely manner. On Friday, I went into the pharmacy after being placed on a non ending hold by phone. I was informed that the Rx would be $200+ and I made it very clear that I was going to pay full price, no insurance. Then the pharmacy tech and pharmacist proceed to tell me that the Rx is out of stock and ask would I like them to order it.

AN ORDER WAS NEVER PLACED PRIOR! I have hypothyroidism and certain formulations of my Rx require frequent adjustment and generic Rx do not work for my condition. To find out that a medically necessary prescription is being delayed on behalf of the negligence of the staff is extremely disappointing. For this reason I am filing a complaint. All I asked for was sufficient communication and in return I was lied to and now have to find another pharmacy with more competent staff.

A customer service rep actually told me that he himself ordered something April 5 and it was delivered April 16. My order of April 15 was still "in progress" as of April 23, at which point I cancelled it (and went to Walmart.com, which delivered my items in exactly 2 days). It took two phone calls and 3 emails to track down what the heck is going on with their distribution. And after cancelling my order, I received confirmation one day later without a word or hint of an apology.

Apparently, the moronic execs at Walgreens.com think it's perfectly natural to wait for over 2 weeks to receive the items you ordered and paid for. Does anyone remember Drugstore.com? After 20 minutes I BEGGED for them to find someone to help me. This is a regular thing at Walgreens...You wait in line forever.

#3. I got a prescription for a medicine that was $150 with insurance. Same med cost $11 at Costco without INSURANCE! Yep. Prices for meds are very different at different pharmacies. Many people dont know this.

I am a hospital pharmacist. I admit that I haven't worked retail in 25 years, but Erik the pharmacist that filled my husband’s prescription last week was obstinate and unreasonable. My husband had surgery last week and they prescribed 12 pain pills that did not last very long at 1-2 tabs q4h prn. The surgeon had told us he would call us the next day to check on us, but didn't. We messaged him on Friday to call us and he didn't, so on a Saturday we were forced to call the on call person because he was in such excruciating pain. We needed to get something for the him.

All the providers have EPIC and quite clearly can see everything my husband is on when sending the e-prescription to Walgreens (not our regular pharmacy but since it was a weekend we were forced to suffer through this) but Erik refuse to override an interaction about something for the insurance to bill saying his license was on the line and he wouldn't override the insurance billing interaction (multiple sedating medications) because you could overdose on the stuff! 15 tablets of ** with 12 previously filled 3 days before postop. Really?! So he tried to call the provider, but couldn't get through and he was going to lunch soon, so he kept saying I should pay cash and take away the prescription now without counseling because since he was so worried about the interaction who cares if I paid for the Rx with cash (which was supposed to be entirely covered by insurance no charge) so he would have no liability????

But once the insurance was billed I could come back to get a credit the next day if I returned within 7 days. Clearly this was a scam to pay cash nearly $20 for something that I shouldn't have to pay for through insurance and bill the insurance at the same time. Because I called the insurance and they said it was billed for and why did they charge me $20. When I hauled myself in there the next day to get my credit, both cash and insurance receipts were dated and timed 4/6/19 @ 1:07.

I think it was a scam to get me to pay cash and get the insurance to pay whatever amount they pay and hope I wouldn't take the time to get my refund. It was an unnecessary ordeal when my husband was in severe postop pain and it required me to come in to the pharmacy twice. I almost asked to see if I could fill this elsewhere like OHSU since they have more experienced pharmacists that probably don't get bonuses for profit sharing like Walgreens does. I will never go there again. I would rather ride my bike 3x as far to avoid dealing with a new grad who has a grudge against people that need pain medication. And I will be reporting this to the Oregon Board of Pharmacy for failure to counsel.

I was very upset, for not being advised in the store of these changes before I purchased this prescription - **. I phoned to the store to speak to a representative in the pharmacy. When I reached an individual and explained my issue, I was placed on hold several minutes, with the phone ringing again and placing me on hold. I hung up and went back to the store, highly upset. Had I been told verbally and made aware of the changes with their manufacturer, I would not have purchase the prescription which looks nothing like my original medication. I was told they don't take back return prescriptions. And I could not receive a credit or refund. I would not accept the bag back, I am not going to use that medication, would not have purchase in the first place, if I was told of the changes. No apology on their part, for not verbally notifying me of this change. Dissatisfied Customer. Lois **. Baton Rouge, LA.

Five years ago I tried filling my son's ADHD meds & ended up going to more than a half dozen stores to find a pharmacy that could fill his prescription. This made me look like a drug seeker. Went to Target which turned into CVS. Their system is amazing & they keep enough stock for their regular customers. You can give them 3 mos. worth of subscriptions on file. You can call & actually get through to be added to a daily list when you're ready to fill. When the scripts are ready, they text you.

Simple! At Walgreens you can only do 1 month at a time. EVERY SINGLE DETAIL has to be separately added EACH time they access you at the register. The place looked like a mess. It took 2 1/2 hours to fill a script! If Walgreens wants to be efficient & make more money, they need to look at how CVS Pharmacy treats their customers! CVS has an amazing system that is super efficient & doesn't keep you waiting forever like Walgreens! Walgreens doesn't make you feel like your business is important and that you are a valued customer. We have many prescription options. Sometimes convenience of the process is much more important than the location of the business. If you want to have your prescriptions filled quickly & efficiently, go to CVS!

I had a Dr appointment on Tuesday and just waited to pick up the new prescriptions my appointment on the 12th would have. I took my time approximately 1 hour to arrive. Nothing ready! Even the prescriptions from Sunday. I spoke to the tech/caused and was told they would do them and would be about a half an hour. I walked around the store then I drove for a haircut then filled my car with gas, I also stopped at local scuba shop to have 3 tanks filled. I returned to the Walgreens and still has to wait. Finally they called me and said it was too early to fill one I knew this was not correct but after putting up with this mess I paid for and left. I was told the prescription I needed would be ready tomorrow evening.

As I arrived home I received a text and email saying the prescription was ready to pick up!!! It is almost 10 miles each way and decided to go without, even though I did have withdrawal symptoms. Today, 4/9/2019 I received a text and email saying a prescription was ready. I had another Dr appointment so I would just go after that. I arrived at the Walgreens who said the prescription that was texted ready to pick up is ready but I have to wait 2 more days to get bit along with another medication that they messed up last month. When I returned home I get an email and a text stating the prescription is ready to pick up! I called and was told it is ready but not to pick up. It's sad that life saving drugs are controlled by morons!! The only reason I have not pulled out and have used a competent pharmacy is I have 11 prescriptions and that makes it difficult to do. I cannot continue to have possible life threatening withdrawals due to incompetence!!

I've been going to Walgreens Pharmacy in Peoria Heights, IL for 7 or 8 YEARS now. I hate this pharmacy and their rude pharmacist & personnel. A couple of years ago, I picked up my 7.5 ** after work. When I got home, ONE HALF of the bottle was GONE!! You could see the white powder where it had been filled to the top. So before work, I drove up in the drive thru & told the pharmacist this. He immediately said very snotty & rudely "We're not giving you anymore pills"!!!

I told him I didn't need any "more" pills, my Dr. gave me enough monthly, I just wanted the other HALF of my prescription!!! I had to drive away in disgust as he didn't care & was so rude about it. I told him someone there had stolen my pills. Every month for about 6 months thereafter, I would WALK in the store, get my pills, dump them on the counter & count them one by one. As they stood there looking at me hatefully, I simply said "Half my pills were stolen last month so I am now going to count them individually every month." After 6 mos I went thru the drive thru again, but I would take out the pills & look at the bottle to make sure it was filled to the top. Of course, they treated me so bad for this & didn't care they had a thief. They would circle my quantity & they were counted twice after that.

Last month, I realized that this ** company has been literally GIVING ME (90) 3.50 ** meds instead of the 7.5!!! Last month my prescription was called into CVS by mistake & I knew right away when I picked up the pills that they were the 7.5 ones & I'd been getting ripped off for at least a year maybe!!! Months & months anyway. The 7.5 pills have an edge on the side, are bigger & say 7.5!!

I called my Dr.'s office & they didn't give a **. They're as bad as the pharmacy about not caring. I don't know what to do at this point. I haven't called Walgreens yet to confront the pharmacist about it. I have a few pills with last Oct. date with Walgreens with the 3.5. I've thrown the other bottles away so don't have one from 2019. I just picked up my March pills from CVS & they're the same 7.5. All this time Walgreens has been giving me 3.5 when it says right on the damned bottle 7.5.

Somehow, I know I need to let the medical board or someone know. Not right to let them get away with it but I have a feeling they will. My Dr.'s office didn't care at all. Not. One. Bit. I'm going to keep going to CVS. I have chronic back pain & have had 6 epidurals in my lifetime. I have to sit in a chair in an office for 7.5 hours 5 days a week. My back is always aching by end of day anyway. I have about 4 more yrs. before I can retire & don't know how I'll make it. Then to have to put up with Walgreens is so so awful & unfair. Why would they not give me the 7.5??? I get these monthly & have for almost 10.5 yrs. now. People treat you so bad for needing pain pills & it really is so unfair. My co-pay is $10 & insurance picks the rest up.

If me asking about refilling my prescription when they were not due for refilling, which was genuinely not my intention, gives them reason to believe that there is a problem on my end, then I do apologize for the mixup. However, I do not appreciate having to wait for medication that is much needed for my pain when I was told it would be ready today. (FDA regulations do not allow refills or more than a month’s worth and the order is send electronic directly to the pharmacy). I have been taking the generic ** made by Watson without any issues. Then one month I noticed the pills were still generic, but made by Mallinckrodt. I also noticed that my pain level for that month was higher than the last month and at times unbearable. I was having the side effect of itching on my arms and hands which I rarely experienced with the Watson product. I really didn’t think much about it and dismissed it as a bad month.

Now I’ve gone through the routine again and picking up my script which was filled with the original generic Watson. After the first week, I noticed that the itching I experienced last month had stopped and my pain was under control. This is when I did a little research and found a huge amount of information on the internet from patients experiencing the same issues with the pills manufactured by Mallinckrodt. I figured the pharmacy ran out of the Watson medication and used another manufacturer until their shipment arrived. Another 30 days go by when it’s refill time again and I discover that I have received the Mallinckrodt product once I’m home. So I called and spoke to a pharmacist and told her of my reaction to the Mallinckrodt product and asked that they note my account to use only the Watson brand.

That’s when she tells me that they had just signed a contract to get their meds from a new supplier and that they were using Mallinckrodt only. I did ask that they order the Watson generic for me due to my adverse reaction to the Mallinckrodt product. I was actually surprised that she said no and I had no other option. She didn’t try to help me with any suggestions, nor did she seem a bit concerned with my issue with the Mallinckrodt product. I then ask what name brand they carry that matches my script so I could have my Dr request what they did carry. She said she could not give me that information and that was the end of the conversation.

Went to fill my ADHD med and the pharmacist noticed the address of my PCP. He asked me if location was correct. I replied, yes. He then asked if I worked there. I replied, no. He then said to me... "Seems far to drive just to see PCP." I replied, bothered by that remark, yeah...so. He then asked if I worked there again. I replied, "No and why do you need to know my place of employment?" His reply, "It's my job" and handed me back my prescription and told me to take it somewhere else.

I was shocked that a professional would act so unprofessional. I was in disbelief of what was happening. I then told him albeit, get upset the reason why I travel to PCP. I then pointed out I been a outstanding customer there for 4 years and never had any issues in the past. Things just got worse from there. He did not listen to me, then tried to put his bad behavior as my fault. He already discriminated against me the moment I handed him the rx. He did not take anything into consideration like looking up my purchase history of this particular medication, or that I been filling there for 4 years.

I am absolutely disgusted by James, the Pharmacist. To make things worse I tried filling a few days later and was told by a different tech that I cannot fill at Walgreens because I got into a altercation with the pharmacist. WTF, no I was trying to fill a rx and questioned his reasoning as to why he needed certain information. I would have been happy to give it but did not feel my place of employment was a needed info to fill a rx. I called him out on his BS and stood up for myself and I am the problem? Huh! Or is the type of person to treat woman unfair and say it is them. DISCRIMINATION.

I order two prescriptions over the weekend and different points online so got the one and never received the control substance that I run out of tomorrow. You can’t stop cold turkey. I pull up the tracker and find that the service mailed and delivered it to an address I have not lived at for YEARS!!! Now this person has my medicine and personal information. When I called I was told this is my fault because I placed it online! Really...really. I didn’t type my address in. It’s saved in your system.

Furthermore you shipped it to the right address in Dec. In Jan when I placed an order I saw after I ordered it that it was being shipped to that random address and I called immediately and asked why and to have it stopped and removed immediately and I was told it was done and I received my medicine. And again I received my other medicine 2 days ago which is a different prescription. But it’s my fault. This is now the 2nd time this has happen to me. And then I’m Told, “Well we can’t refill because you have to wait 30 days because insurance won’t approve it!!!” You can’t stop the medicine and you lost my medicine and charged me extra for 2 day shipping!!! Police Report will be filed tomorrow, board of health will be contacted, insurance and anyone else. This is wrong on so many levels. This company should be sued and ashamed of themselves.

Let me begin by saying this is a consistent problem with Walgreens Pharmacy. First, reaching them by phone is nearly impossible. Today alone, I was placed on hold for periods of 12 minutes up to 29, before I hung up in frustration. Again, THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM EXPERIENCED ONLY TODAY! After many attempts to reach them I asked to confirm they had my refills ready and was told yes. When I went to the drive through there was another wait of 15 minutes. When I got to the window I was told they didn’t have enough of the meds to fill the entire order. So they gave me 2/3 of the quantity. Now, I had originally called about this on Monday evening.

I spoke to a pharmacist, not a technician. I asked if they had received the order from the doctor because I was planning on picking the med up on Tuesday morning. (I had run out on Monday night and this is a med you are NOT supposed to stop taking abruptly.) He checked and said the order was there and I could pick it up Tuesday morning. On Tuesday I called before I left to pick up the refill. I was then told THEY WERE OUT OF STOCK... They would have to order them and they would be there the following day.

Again, I am not supposed to stop taking these and I had been without on Tuesday and also Wednesday, as they did not get the order ready for pick up until nearly 3:00 on Wednesday. Then they only had half the order. To add to the problem, I had to pay a $50 co-pay for my partial order. They told me they had contacted the doctor and he will issue another order for the remaining pills. Of course I will have to pay ANOTHER $50 co-pay then. I called my insurance company and was told Walgreens should not have processed it in this manner. They said there is a process that Walgreens should have been aware of that would not result in me having to pay another co-pay. I am switching my pharmacy to a different business and will never give Walgreens another dime. THEY ARE TOTALLY INCOMPETENT!!!

After getting the 2nd rude person to stop giving me all the reasons why they couldn’t give me any information about whether I could fill my prescription at this Walgreens she ended the call by saying “no we don’t have it in stock”. Returned Thursday and they said I didnt have any refills. Went home and printed the Walgreens site indicating that I had 5 refills. Returned and as worker stared at his computer screen confused and uncommunicative, chatted with another worker who then said we'll have to call that doctor and quizzed me why the doctor's name was 'different' which I explained was the Physician's Assistant (guess they don't like those in Florida). Pharmacist comes over and indicates they'll have to fax the doctor. By now the doctor's office is closed and they've sat on it for 4 days. Meanwhile I'm out of my script and will be feeling it physically.

In retrospect, I think they perceived me as a 'drug abuser'. No eye contact. Poor body language. Lack of customer service skills As an ataxian with less than perfect body presentation, why am I placed on the defensive? Why are my doctors scripts not treated with more respect? I told the pharmacist they were not encouraging trust. I asked what was really going on here, with no response on their part.

I live in a different city and wanted to pick it up early so I didn't have to come back, which I've never had an issue with before, because my doctor wrote me a prescription with two refills on it on purpose, since she was aware of my situation.

Rather than explaining, this so called "policy", on a "controlled substance", the pharmacist, whose name was DARRIN, was incredibly condescending and unkind. When we continued to ask questions of him and try to figure something out, he threw a fit and refused to offer help or solutions, telling me that my reason for coming early, was not a good enough "excuse". In the past, I have had transphobic and rude pharmacists, but every time we were able to find a solution, so that I could get my prescription. Or will have the others but not one. Same with the Johnson City location. Causing me to have to drive to TWO different pharmacies 20 minutes apart to be able to get all of his prescriptions.

The past few days have been the last straw with them. I dropped his prescriptions off Monday at about 1 o'clock, and said we'd be back about 6 to pick them up. She said, "Okay, no problem!" My son cannot go without his medication and the Walgreens that had his prescription was CLOSED and wouldn't open until WEDNESDAY! TWO DAYS WITHOUT HIS MEDICINE! We couldn't just call and have it transferred because it is a narcotic and requires a paper copy which I COULDN'T GET.

My husband went first thing this morning to pick it up and they only had ONE ready, saying the other couldn't be filled until the afternoon. The afternoon came and went and we called about 7 and they STILL DIDN’T HAVE IT READY. Going on three days without proper medicine. My husband asked why they closed early while he was there and the girl said, "Oh, the manager decided to close earlier." EXCUSE ME??? You have people to DEPEND on you to be open when YOU SAY YOU'LL BE OPEN and you decide that it is perfectly okay with no real warning to just LEAVE EARLY??? I am so stressed out because my child could go into a seizure if he goes cold turkey off these meds. Told me she called people on “list” to come in for their shots and I asked if they were coming tonight - 20 before closing - she would not answer. Just kept saying they were being held for people not there.

Not only are they judgmental, I can never get one on the phone, and when I do they are rude. They are understaffed, and do not care about their patients. They ONLY reason I have continued to use them is because of my health insurance. I'm a former pharmacy tech from Walgreens, and I am mortified by their customer service!!!

I have been a customer at Walgreens for over 20 years. I also take my prescriptions to other pharmacies wherever I can get a better price. I took my prescription to your store on Oct. 28 and was given a hard time from a male staffer and told he would not fill my prescription if I did not get all my prescriptions filled there. I get three of my prescriptions from Publix because they are free and some from Walmart because they are $4.00. I have no insurance and try to get them filled at the cheapest place. I said ok and asked him to transfer them.

I came in today to get a refill and I was refused a prescription refill and told from your staff to take my prescription to Walmart and get it filled since that is where I got most of my refills from. I am disabled and can hardly get around so having to come back to your store was so hard for me to get my written prescription. I have a legal prescription and should not have been treated like I was a criminal. So you will never me see me step in your store ever again. This was Store #5327 Lakeland, Florida.

Today I waited 15 minutes at the drive-in window. Finally I blew my horn in frustration. A woman came to the window and asked me what I wanted. I told her that I thought 15 minutes to get service. She said they were waiting on people inside that were ahead of me. Then it became clear that there was only one counter person and they were having trouble with an order. Cars pulled out of line and left. This not the first time. It is business as usual for them.

When I did get a partial refill I still had to pay full price for the prescription. I have also personally witnessed the pharmacist handling the pills and then put them in the pill bottle. This is contamination of patient medication.

This is reference to the recent transition from Rite Aid to Walgreens at the 954 Joe Frank Harris Pkwy Store in Cartersville, Georgia. 1st: My physician called in a prescription for asthma inhaler to this store. I received an automated call about a prescription that had insurance issues, the message didn't give the medication name or who it had been prescribed to. I called the store, I stayed on hold for 20 minutes waiting to speak to someone about this issue and to determine, if it was mine or my husband's prescription. I spoke to a cashier, who was asking someone I assume was a pharmacist, and she kept asking if I heard the other person words. I said I could hear her talking, but couldn't understand what was said. The cashier repeated her words, which weren't of much help for my issue.

The cashier did determine it was my prescription and that they had an issue with my insurance. I gave her my husband, who is the primary on our insurance's number for verification, then I was told they would get back with me when it was sorted out. I go online to your website for this store and sign up for an online account, only to find they were using my old information from when I was a customer in Rome, GA at Walgreens. In the communication letters, sent out by Walgreens, it was said the transition would be smooth and it is anything, but smooth! Didn't your company have the records from Rite Aid of their pharmacy customers to transfer over to your system?

I am looking for another pharmacy myself. This is unacceptable business practice! 2nd: My husband had called in his prescriptions over the telephone and then went to the store to pick them up. He waited over an hour, only to get one of his prescriptions, they were out of stock of the others. He said it was the most unorganized chaos, he had ever seen!

Walgreens policy on returns of sale items is unfair and their policy at the store level gives managers no flexibility to do what is right by the customer. Through November 2018 Walgreens ran a buy 1 get 1 on selected vitamins/supplements. I thought I was buying two bottles of vitamin C along with other items. Once home I saw that I had mistakenly bought Lysine. They were next to each other on shelf and basically identical in appearance. Within 24 hours I went back with the product and receipt to get a refund. It rang up at $6.54 versus the $11.99 I paid and I was told that was their policy. I left without doing the refund...thinking that cannot be in this day of increasing awareness of the need for great customer experiences but a call to their customer service line proved that the is the policy.

At this point I wanted to learn more about this, I used to work in corp marketing of OTCs, and thought how crazy is this. I went back thinking I could just do a swap since the 1 vitamin C product I did buy was just 9.99 and the Lysine was 11.99...swap a lower priced product and for a higher priced one that Walgreens gets to re-stock. No dice, would not just put the product back and give me what I wanted in the first place. I love that Walgreens supports a variety of communities and is regarded as a well run corporation. But this is crazy and I only wonder what is the annual revenue on this scam of a policy that is not noted anywhere that is noticeable. Shame, shame, shame. They have now lost 5 customers (my family) and everyone I can warn. Just not a justifiable policy...oh yes the person who tried to help me find vitamin C on the third trip told me I had 30 days to return the item...what solace is that if I only half of my purchase value back?

This evening around 440 p.m. my son and I went to pick up his RX. The RX was transferred from my regular pharmacy (they do not carry that med). I waited for 30 min in line to be helped. That in itself is unacceptable. Once I was helped the initial Walgreens representative pulled my RX and then kept walking away doing other things. The next representative, a manager stepped in to say they had no info of insurance forwarded from my regular pharmacy. To my complete dismay, she immediately started to look my son up on IEHP. I had to stop her and tell her we had Blue Cross private insurance. Why did this manager assume we had Medicaid/IEHP? Very rude! I handed her my insurance card and then she handed me off to a 3rd representative!

This next woman had to link my son to my insurance in order to process the RX. She took 20 min only to then put the initial RX back on the shelf and tried to have me sign for a RX that was not my son's! She linked billed and tried to hand me ** for a patient named **! My son's name is ** and my son's medication was a topical cream! I had to look her in her eyes twice and tell her this was a mistake, this was someone else's medication! She then spend 15 more minutes trying to link the correct person to my profile, pull the right drug (which she had placed back on the shelf)! It took Walgreens close to an hour to almost give me the wrong med!

At no time did anyone apologize for this. My entire experience (beginning to end) was a nightmare! When I turned around the line for pharmacy pick up was to the other side of the store. All of these seniors standing waiting. I am a RN and I truly feel awful that this Walgreens is providing this horrendous service to my community. These people may not know better, or may not be as perceptive of mistakes as I am therefore they put up with it. Walgreens must speak to this facility ASAP. I however will not return to bring my RXs/business there ever again.

I have been a long time customer at the pharmacy in Wisconsin. I did have some problems, but nothing like now. The entire staff disappeared, which seems fishy. The new people are morons, and the pharmacy is extremely short staffed. There is no consistency. I have been shorted pills, I have had a few extra of others. The pharmacists are extremely rude. It used to be the old ones came over for a consult, now they just wave while they talk on the phone. Big help. Controlled substances are a nightmare - I have been told everything from having to wait to pick them up after I run out to 1-3 days. This makes going away impossible because you are supposed to guess, or leave without medication and go into withdrawal.

The worst is that a pharmacist incorrectly entered a prescription, which would have affected the next refill (he put it for more days than it was, and I would have run out of pills). A technician caught it and told me, otherwise I would have never known. I contacted Walgreens customer service and they said they trust their pharmacists (and I have this in a chat online). That is more scary - they back them screwing up a prescription in black and white and leave it for you to deal with. I still have to get this straightened out. To say I am furious is an understatement, and I wonder if they do this hoping they force more calls so you look like a drug seeker and get cut off. The ironic part is that the manager wouldn't fill my prescription the first time until talking to my doctor "so it would be easier every time." Not really. And she had a script, paid by insurance, and still caused this. I honestly think these hack pharmacists are just mad they couldn't make it in medical school.

Because my husband was not sure which name I used at the pharmacy and hesitated for about 3 seconds, the employee immediately began to berate my husband as if he were trying to "pull a fast one" or attempt fraud in some way.

My husband is from the south, very soft spoken and very polite, even though this whole situation was very loud and in front of several customers! He came home and I went back up there. By this time the employee had called my doc and insinuated I was trying to get pain meds from more than one pharmacy...or something! I straightened her out and made her call my doc back in front of everyone to admit the mistake she had made. I admit I was loud enough so that everyone would hear me! It was only fair.

I stopped using Walgreens that day. But recently had to leave the wonderful lil mom and pop pharmacy I used for the last 5 years because the feds said they were no longer allowed to dispense **! Back to Walgreens...they would not give me my ** until they receive a full treatment plan from my doc on how he intended to reduce the strength of my meds. She explained this loud enough for others nearby to hear also explaining that this is required because of the controlled meds I am on also so others could hear right over the counter! What right does a lousy pharmacist have to know my private health details...other than what is needed to. Cover safety??? Who gave them the authority to get between me and my doc??? Where is HIPAA in all this? Now that all those people know my business??? I was out of my meds as of this morning for the first time in 14 years. He said NO and that I must go to the front desk and wait in line for the normal cashier to charge my payment and then send someone to the restroom to assist me. I made it to the front of the line, handed the cashier $20 and my one bottle of ** ($6.99) and my Walgreens card, and begged him for the bathroom code before I peed my pants. He tried to leave the register to help me out, but the woman next to him told him that he wasn’t allowed to leave his register to let me into the bathroom. He had to call over the intercom to make someone meet me at the restroom while I tried not to pee my pants.

I am DISGUSTED at this level of customer service. I work in the healthcare industry and I completely understand that drug users attempt to use public restrooms to shoot up. But when you have a reoccurring, paying customer in an emergency situation attempting to use the restroom for one minute to simply urinate and then pay and leave, it is completely ridiculous the way I was handled today.

I went in to get some candy bars that were on sale. But as usual Walgreens is out. So I asked the clerk for a raincheck and she said no! I asked why and she said cause a shipment is coming in later in the week. I explained to her I live 2.5 hours away and she said how many do you want? I said 12... you would have thought. I asked for 200 the way she reacted. She said I can't do it for that many. Talk about a real PEACH! So I called the manager no answer twice I called nothing. People get real if you say it's on sale expect people to come in to buy it and when there is not a limit please be kind.

This is a complaint regarding store # 2325, 290 Broadway in Lynn, MA and pharmacy operations there. I’m a soon to be a 60-year-old disabled man who’s currently taking care of a senior parent, my Mother who has both dementia and a form of leukemia. Both my Mother and I have our prescriptions at this Walgreens, with me receiving my through mail order because of my previous dissatisfaction with the in-store process. Up until now I’ve been unable to switch my Mother over to the mail-order option and have had to rely on in-person pickup for her prescriptions.

From the beginning, I was explicit in please requesting that all my Mother’s prescriptions have the auto-refill option, that I was to be notified when they were ready for pick-up, and contacted with any and all questions or concerns. I strive to be clear and avoid confusion in my communication, but there’s always the unexpected. Back in February 2018, my Mother required a refill for the specific medication that she requires for treatment for her dementia. At the time of pick-up, I reiterated my desire for all my Mother’s prescriptions to be auto-refilled and was assured they would be. I also followed up with a phone call asking again for everything to be auto-refilled and was given the same assurances that my request would be honoured.

On Friday, 8/31/18 after being notified of a refill being ready to pick up, I went and got it thinking that it was my Mother’s essential dementia medication. When I got home, I saw that it, in fact, was an entirely other prescription when I called the pharmacy they told me that the dementia was ready to be refilled and had been ready to refill. There was no explanation why it hadn’t been auto-refilled as previously requested or even why they didn’t tell me of its availability when I was standing right there in front of them.

On Sunday, 9/2/18 I went to pick up this dementia medication I asked why my previous requests for having it auto-refilled were ignored and why they couldn’t have filled it on 8/31/18 when I was right there? The pharmacy tech was very apologetic, though she had no hand in any of this, the head pharmacist on duty never engaged with me, never even made eye contact, and simply asked the tech if the screen had been adjusted for auto-refills in the future. I was the only customer at the pharmacy at this time and would have welcomed the opportunity to engage with the pharmacist, but he couldn’t have cared less.

On Tuesday, 9/4/18 I contacted Walgreen’s customer service at 1-800-925-4733, incident # ** and I was assured that I’d be contacted by the area pharmacy manager named, Peter. Since then I’ve called back to Walgreens on 9/7 and /17, and to date, I’ve heard back from no one. On the three calls, I’ve made the people I spoke with took notes and couldn’t believe how bad my experience was and how it made no sense. But, still, no follow up contact from Walgreens corporate with today’s date being 9/19/18. All in all, this is the worst pharmacy experience that I’ve had with some epically bad and apathetic customer service. My Mother relies on me to take of things like her prescriptions on her behalf and if I wasn't doing this for I have no doubt that she'd be still waiting for this important drug. The worst of the worst across the board!

First of all I should point out that I have a chronic illness and I am on a lot of medication. I had a great relationship with my Rite Aid pharmacists and techs. Never any issues in several years. Then Walgreens bought them out and shut down my pharmacy. The first thing they did was refuse to refill my chemo shot which I had been on for months. They said it wasn’t approved for SQ administration. Like I said I was on it for months. They kept saying they would contact my Dr but I missed 2 weeks of my chemo. They wouldn’t allow me to transfer it because the pharmacist said it wouldn’t be safe. They finally filled it and nothing had changed.

I also noticed they were weird about filling my **. If I was there picking up another med I wasn’t allowed to pick it up even when it had been 29 days. Some months it had been 30 days but I didn’t want to argue. I know how people with chronic illness are viewed in today’s society so I just let it go. My breaking point was today. It was 30 days yesterday 9/17 but they were out. The tech said it was able to be filled. They just had to order it. Woke up to a voicemail saying they did an audit and since it was filled early once 3 months ago that it couldn’t be filled for 2 more days. It was filled late 2 months after that! They didn’t audit that part. It’s insane. It’s **! I told them to transfer my prescriptions to CVS. CVS filled it with no issues. Same pharmacist that wouldn’t fill the chemo.

Walgreens on Rock Island and Atlantic in Margate Florida... the worse pharmacy to ever go to. I have been on the same medications for years... No problems No issues... Non Narcotics... I never seen this pharmacist before, and he refused to give me one of my medications, because he said it might make me bleed from being on a blood thinner. Again, same medications for years I haven’t bled yet, and he Didn’t feel comfortable giving it to me wanted to contact my doctor's office, my doctor is out of the office by noon on Fridays so now I have to go the entire weekend without my medication because of his judgemental opinion.

I would think they would have addressed this years ago already, so I asked how long is this pharmacist been here. His name is Randy and he’s been at this location for a while. Well I’ve never seen him and they won’t give me my medication until they speak to my doctor, it is not right or fair for a pharmacist to have control over somebody’s house. This location needs to get their act together, it’s easier to get a controlled substance than it is to get a non-controlled substance how crazy is that.

Lost my prescription twice, lost my insurance information twice on two different occasions, and are overall extremely unprofessional. Oh, I’m also 37 weeks pregnant and never got my prescription today because of these idiots. I feel like something fishy is going on behind the counter and I'm going to have a lawyer dig it up. Walgreens is not where you want to go for prescription medications. They call an elderly woman to come pick up her medicine then deny her right when she gets there. No communication skills. The people are so rude. They act like they hate their lives. You signed up for the job. Help your customers instead of putting them through hell or the hospital.

Investigate this Walgreens and all Walgreens or I will. It would be worth the money. I just recently transferred to Costco pharmacy and it's so much better. They are so much more understanding and better at what they do. They actually care about your condition and don't hold off on giving you your medication. Or go to an individual/independent pharmacy. My local Rite Aid was closing. I was assured that all of my prescriptions would transfer "seamlessly" to Walgreens. I had a 6 month except for my antidepressant medication. I had filled only 3 months at the R-A pharmacy. I went to the W website when my refill was due and my Rx was listed with available refills. I ordered the Rx and the reply stated it wouldn't be ready until 8 pm. At 8:15 I go to pick up my refill and the tech at the window says my Rx is expired. This is not possible because my doc only writes 6 months at a time. My bottle says 1 refill, I then realized that Rite Aid had typed the original date wrong. It said 2017 where it should say 2018.

I tried to explain and was told they do not have access to the RA computer system. WHAT!!! How can this be "seamless" if they don't have access to the original Rx. I went inside because there were 4 cars behind me. I asked the tech how they can help me get my medication because it's a long holiday weekend and I am completely out. I was told there was nothing they could do to help, and I will have to get a new Rx from my doctor. This is unacceptable. They should have been honest with customers and said we would need new prescriptions instead of saying it would all transfer "seamlessly".

The man in front of me was told he couldn't get his medication because they didn't have enough pills to fill it and they don't do partial fills. He had been told it would be ready at 8 pm also, and they did not notify him of a problem either. That is not his problem that they don't have enough stock. I have never seen a pharmacy in my life that wouldn't do a partial until the remainder was available. I am taking my business elsewhere, and I am telling everyone I know to do likewise. Leitchfield, Ky Walgreens does not care about its customer's needs at all.

I have PTSD, social and general anxiety. My doctor prescribed **. At first, it was working great. Mind you, I had only been taking one a day, instead of two, because I thought once I was off Medicaid, I wouldn't be able to afford them. I had mistakenly looked up the price for the name brand, instead of the generic, which I currently take. So about a two months ago, I started taking them as prescribed, 1mg twice a day. Last month, I realized that they weren't working. I thought maybe I was building a tolerance. So, against my better judgment, I stopped taking them for a week, and I took them again. Still nothing. So I took a dose from an earlier bottle, and felt it within 30 minutes. I called Walgreen's and they couldn't do anything about it, especially since the label was all but rubbed off, and I couldn't see the date. That was completely understandable.

Cut to this month, and I decided instead of taking any of the previous prescriptions that had accumulated, I would take this months. So I took my usual dose, and I felt nothing. I took my dose the next day, still nothing. SO once again, I waited a week, suffering through several panic attacks and unable to sleep. After the week, I took my dose again. It was as if I had taken baby **. This time, I ordered a 10 pack of ** urinalysis tests, and waited yet another week for them to arrive. Once they did, I took my daily doses for two days, then I took the test. It tested negative for **. I took three separate tests on three separate nights, all while continuing to take this month’s prescription, and they all tested negative, and I couldn't feel any results from them.

However, when I took a dose from the previous prescription I mentioned, It worked within 30 minutes. I slept like a baby that night. The next night, I took another urinalysis, and no surprise at all, I tested positive for **. I contacted my pharmacy again and told them my situation. They gave me the runaround, saying that maybe my tests were defective. So I called Walgreen's customer service line. After being put on hold, the woman told me that the store manager would get back with me within 48 hours. Two days go by and she never called. I called up there, explained my situation yet again and asked why the manager never called me. The woman said that the manager had been out for two days, but that she worked that night, took down my info, and assured me that the manager would return my call. That was Saturday.

Today, I went to Walgreen's to pick up my mom's meds. Afterwards, I asked how I can transfer any future prescriptions to CVS, briefly explaining the situation, and the manager never called me. Instead of trying to help, or apologizing, the pharmacist merely said, "Well, we can't exactly control what our suppliers sell us and guarantee they'll work." This is NOT what you want to hear from a pharmacy, especially when a huge majority of people's lives DEPEND on their medication not working. So now, thanks to Walgreen's and their ineffective medication, my mental progress has declined, and I actually feel worse than I did before I even started taking the medication. They've proven time and time again that they couldn't care less about the ineffectiveness of their medication, or that they are losing two customers.

My mom has been a Walgreens customer for over 10 years. Since I pick her meds up for her and take care of her refills, she wants me to transfer her prescriptions over to CVS as well. If you are taking ** and are unsure if they actually contain the proper ingredients, order a ** urinalysis test kit from Amazon or eBay, and confirm for yourself. All of these medications are regulated by the FDA and it's a damn shame that a huge chain such as Walgreen's basically gave me a statement, saying, "We can't guarantee what we sell you is even going to work. Next customer in line, please."

I have worked all of my life double shifts and have always had a respective place in society and to be treated like I was was so humiliating all because I wanted to pick up my medication and because they filled my prescription too early and I suffered. They wouldn't take any info or any kind of responsibility. They basically told me to away and not come back for another week...

I went to the ER department and they gave me a prescription and I was told to go have it filled at a Walgreens in New Britain and the pharmacist there was ruder than the first Walgreens in Bristol CT. Unbelievable how badly I was treated. Then to top it all off the Dr tried to call in a prescription for me and they tried to give him a hard time about it. I was like they had it in mind that I was a junkie so they didn't want anyone to do anything for me even my own Dr. It almost killed me and I ended up in the hospital because of it.

I am ready to go on the news with this. If anyone wants to get together and do this let me know. I am ready to take this higher up and hope this never happens to anyone else. The district manager got ahold of me today and said it is illegal for any pharmacy to fill a narcotic prescription prior to 24 hours before it is due to be picked up. If anyone else has any issue please do not hesitate to speak up and get yourself heard. Walgreens should be shut down.

Over the past several months I've placed 3 online orders with Walgreens. Two of the orders were canceled without any communication as to why. They held the funds on my debit card for several days even though the order, after being confirmed, was not honored. When trying to contact customer service they simply said they didn't know why and they were sorry for any inconvenience. When asking them to follow up they refused to provide any case number and said they would simply pass the information onto the appropriate department. They would not provide any commitment for follow up. When asking to speak with a manager about the issue and lack of ownership they sarcastically replied "it has been a pleasure working with you, thank you for choosing Walgreens".

Walgreens has, unfortunately, purchased several of the Rite Aid stores in my area. I've tried giving Walgreens a chance but they continue to fall short. In addition to online orders being canceled I find that most of the items they list on sale in their weekly flyer are not kept in stock in the stores. I've been told by some people that use to work for the company that they had been instructed to pull sale items off of the shelves for the week and put them back after the sale is over. After being frustrated from wasting time driving to the store I decided to place some online orders. Just as frustrating!

It is disappointing that a company of this size finds so many ways to send a clear message - they simply don't care about the consumer in so many ways. I don't have these issues with Rite Aid, ever! I can say that I won't be returning to Walgreens and am happy that they didn't ruin, sorry, I mean purchase, all of my Rite Aid stores. I feel bad for those many people around the country that won't have an option but to shop at Walgreens. They are in for some challenges for sure.

Waited 10 days for Rx. Never got it. Was told to be patient and not in such a hurry. They also claimed communicating with my Dr. Big lie. While I was at counter had Dr. office on phone. They refused to speak to him. Said couldn't touch my phone. Well apparently they can't hear on speakerphone. I now have to find a new doctor because day 10 I exploded on him and Walgreens, also guys for those of you who haven't heard they now own Rite Aid so be careful switching pharmacies, doesn't matter which one. They're all the same. The only one worse is CVS.

There is a traveling pharmacist that works at the Irondale location off of Montclair Road in Alabama from time to time, and unfortunately out of the past 2 times I’ve come here I had to encounter her. I’m not quite sure what her name is, but has thin long brown hair and about 5’11”. I’m aware of Walgreens “policies” - should truly called fabricated policies. I’m prescribed ** for my narcolepsy - a neurological disorder that greatly effects my sleep and daily function in life. My first encounter with this lady she refused to refill my prescription because *HER* policy is 2-days prior. And she clearly needs to be educated on the fact that *HER* policy is false seeing as it is a 4-days prior to the last date filled that I can get it. All other pharmacists that have worked here or at other locations have all said the same thing as well as my insurance.

My second encounter happened this afternoon when I went to go get my prescription filled early since I’m leaving for out of the country this week. Obviously I can’t get my medicine overseas (you’d think she’d use her brain to realize that). Before even calling my doctor, I spoke with my insurance and was cleared for my early refill. I then called my doctor and explained what was happening and I got the approval and picked up my prescription. After this, I came to this pharmacy and was waiting on it while it got filled. Well over 30 minutes had passed and luckily one of the employees that knows us asked us if we were still waiting. Turns out that they felt that it was too early to refill my prescription and trying to make me feel dumb for even trying. Well, obviously I’m filling it early for a reason!

They let me sit there for over 30 minutes clearly trying to avoid telling me this, but I didn’t let this affect me. Now what did affect me was this “pharmacist” trying to tell me that they need to speak with my doctor to make sure it was approved. ** is a controlled substance and that means a physical prescription - no call ins, no automatic refills. I’m not quite sure if this lady has poor education or just zero common sense, but obviously I had a physical prescription that I had given to them. That is literally your proof that it was approved by my doctor. So, since SHE FELT that she needed verbal approval, they didn’t fill my prescription. All while saying this to me with a distinct condescending tone.

Walgreens apparently feels that their pharmacists should be allowed to police people. And that is far from being okay. I do not appreciate feeling judged and/or discriminated against due to the medication that I take and the countless other stories I have found about other Walgreens pharmacies. She has delayed me TWICE in my medication that is vital to me to function daily and normally. I can’t imagine how many others she has done this to as well, but it is NOT okay. It is in fact disgusting that she is allowed to still be a pharmacist for Walgreens let alone a pharmacist at all.

It is so wrong that pharmacists feel they are allowed to act like they are doctors or police. It is wrong for a company to allow pharmacists to act as a doctor or police. You are neither. You fill medication and give advice on how medications can affect you. That’s it. That’s all. Walgreens needs to change their “policies” or I feel that a very large lawsuit is about to headed their way.

I returned to using WalMart. Better service for everything. Including lower prices/cost of my meds. Being handicapped too difficult to go inside store. Always a long 1/2 waiting time to use drive thru window... 1 of the 2 lanes ought to be for handicapped only, but isn't. The store is understaffed (been told that by pharmacy staff as well and the clerks). Good Bye WG... FYI - WG is installing drive thru in the near future as well... For the Lake Geneva, WI. store... 53147.

Completely discriminated against & singled out due to the medication that I take, refill times are different for me at this store than anyone else, rules are different for me each month depending on what mood the pharmacist is in, completely disrespectful on the phone and in person, the treatment I’ve been subjected to has been ridiculous and would never be acceptable at any other business in the USA!!!

I went to get a prescription for my wife and they wanted to charge me $70 and I had already paid $40 and I told the lady that. Well it seems we did the same thing last month which each month's total was $110 each month. She went on to tell that that was what it was supposed to be and I said, "Lady I know what I pay," (being very angry at this point) so I asked to speak with the manager which I did & didn't get anywhere (she was new to the job). Anyway when I got home I called corporate office & told them the dilemma and they said they would research it and call me back. I waited a day and they called from the store I was shopping at and informed me they owed me $80 which I got the next day. Well I found out the next few days the way they charged me was illegal, what they were supposed to do is give me the partial & not charge me until I picked up the remainder.
