I was in there shopping a few days ago. I went to check out. The cashier was leaning over saying "yuck". I thought maybe she had seen a spider or something. I waited. I then witnessed her putting her socks and shoes into a shopping bag putting flip flops on her feet!! She put one of her feet up on the bag stand. Continued touching her feet. During this transaction she was rude, but this is not my issue. She proceeded to TOUCH my beverages with her hands that she did not wash. Nor did she sanitize, since touching her feet. I contacted Walgreens customer service twice since this incident and have not received one reply back. This is a sanitation and safety concern. Not to mention that this company does not care to reply to its customer's concerns.

I had the worst experience at this Walgreens. Searching for Wild Adventure tickets at a discount I called and was told that they sold the tickets there. I was sold the wrong tickets instead was sold Adventure Landing Waterpark. I called to see if they could return my money. The manager would not even come out and talk to me I had to talk to a associate. I return within minutes and was rudely told that they would not return my money.
I called customer service and even the company that issued the tickets. I called another Walgreens and they said that the store I brought them should refund my money back. I also found out that Walgreens don't even sell Wild Adventure tickets. In my opinion I would dare shop at this store or go there to buy any type of theme park tickets. The bad thing about this situation is my children missed out on their church outing this weekend. So please just buy online or even 7 days in advance tickets online, I should've done that in the beginning.

Up until today, I would have given this Walgreens 5 stars. I am a very loyal regular of this Walgreens pharmacy in which I get my medication for my ADD. Got my monthly prescription this past Monday - as I do every month. It wasn't until last night that I noticed the bottle seemed a little low. I administered a count and the bottle was exactly 30 pills short of the 60 total pills I should have been given for the month. I was shorted by half! I didn't think to count the pills when picking up because I've been going to this pharmacy for a few years now and have never had any issues. It's just become so routine for me.
Considering I'm an event planner with very little additional time on my hands, I have been very loyal and in a sense reliant on this location because it has always been quick, easy and painless... which is SO crucial for me. Needless to say I became anxious because of the strict regulations on this particular medication and I already knew it was a possibility that the pharmacy was going to tell me that there is nothing they can do and I would end up having to deal with being shorted.
I did go in to the store immediately after I noticed I was shorted and spoke with the pharmacist working at that time. The pharmacist was very helpful in my cause... She even counted the inventory and it was apparently spot on... of course! She recommended that I come in the next morning when the pharmacy manager was on duty and speak with her. I did exactly that. I walked up to the counter and the pharmacy manager already knew who I was and immediately mentioned that the inventory was counted and it was spot on. Kudos to them for efficiency but that doesn't solve the issue of me being shorted by half of the prescription.
No one stole my pills... I keep them very secure. I don't abuse these pills by any means - as I have never asked for additional pills or asked for pills early. My dosage has been exactly the same for years. I've even dropped my prescription off when they did not have my medication in stock and was willing to wait a few days until they were back in stock, just so I wouldn't have to deal with going somewhere else so my record is completely clean and consistent. I mention this to the pharmacy manager and all she can say is "Exactly, you've never had any problems here." This was incredibly frustrating!
The message in that tells me: A) It's a mistake on their end that they can't immediately see - and/or - they feel they are right in this situation and not willing to look into it. B) Some serious shady business is happening at this pharmacy and they are covering it up (my personal opinion). I called Walgreens corporate to see if there is anything they can do. Apparently it can be a couple of days before I hear back from someone. A HUGE inconvenience considering it's dealing with my mental health and I am going to be out of my medication for 2 weeks. This could not happen at a worst time considering all of the projects I am working on and how focused I need to be in the next few weeks.
Thanks Walgreens for the HUGE frustration and for treating me like I am some sort of liar or abuser, even after being as loyal of a customer as I have been... For as long as I have been. We will see what the outcome is from corporate. I can only imagine how many people this pharmacy is slighting. Count your pills if you go to this pharmacy or simply just take your business somewhere else. I know I will be.

Had a tech try to tell me ** is a schedule II narcotic, when it's a schedule V. Keep insisting it was. Pharmacist told me he was discontinuing my pain meds because I didn't need them. Told let me break your neck a C1, C2 level with multiple surgeries. She claimed since I could walk I didn't need. Who are these people? I been with them 3 months and they are doctors without an exam? Guess this is my fault for wanting to save time in traffic. Going back to my old pharmacy now. Wow Walgreens love your business model. I am on pain medication due to a back injury I sustained in an accident at work. I have been on this medication now for a couple of years and am slowly weaning myself off of it at my own pace which is fine with my doctor. Walgreens has filled this prescription for me for a good year. My local Walgreens closed down. I drive to the next closest Walgreens and tell them this same story and ask that they please fill my prescription. I tell them that I have severe back pain and if I do not get my medication I will go through withdraws and can get very sick even possibly die.
No - they don't care - they tell me this medication is addicting and bad for me?? Really - "I have a doctor but thank you and I know that, but I have a valid prescription - you can call my doctor." I need my medication. No - they don't like that my doctor prescribed this for me so they don't want to talk to him. IS THIS LEGAL??? I thought they took orders from the doctors and just filled it. Obviously Walgreens has drive through doctors now who won't fill your prescription if they don't like the medication you're on. Am I in America?? What the **? Walgreens I hope you know that one day someone is going to really take you up on this and I hope you lose your **!!!

My name is Pastor Rita **. I have put up with Walgreens many years but moving to Las Vegas is really bad! I attempted to fill my ** 5 mg at Walgreens. I didn't fill it immediately cause I wasn't out. They kept the script for 8 days. They did not call to say they wouldn't fill it. When I called this morning they said I did not meet the requirements of a new policy they are implementing at their store. I asked the pharmacist what if I can't fill it by tomorrow I'll be out. She very rudely and sounding like she enjoyed this said, "I guess you will go into withdrawals"!! I only take 4 medicines, ** is the only one for position. I find it appalling a pharmacist did not care at all that she was placing me at risk. As researched I found Walgreens is doing this all over the USA putting critically ill patients at high risk and leaving many in pain. I believe Walgreens needs to be boycotted!

I was told that it is Walgreens' policy not to accept phone in credit cards for prescriptions. I had to drive 30 minutes to pay the $5.35. Walgreens should come into the 21st century and accept phone credit card authorizations!!

When refilling a prescription in May 2016 at the Walgreens located at 10600 West Parmer Lane in Austin, TX 78717, I had to wait while they corrected the amount. I had motioned for the car behind to use the other lane since there were 2 at the drive-thru (the driver smiled and waved Thank you to me). The Pharmacist herself, ** , came to tell me to either pull around the building and come back through or she'd call the Cops. I was stunned. When I asked why, ** snapped at me that I couldn't hold up their business. There were no cars in sight except myself so I told her to go ahead and call the Police which I guess she decided not to do.
I waited for the correction (approx 5 min) and had hoped ** would have had enough time to reflect on how she'd acted and apologize. Instead, when she herself came back to the window I explained that it was regrettable that she wouldn't be calling the Police. She very hatefully stated that they'd had to call the Cops on several others for holding the line up. I couldn't believe her behavior and using that as an excuse for her rudeness. In addition to the other customers that she must be responsible for running off.
I tried to notify Walgreens through their corporate portal (twice) but it won't allow you to go beyond choosing the store location. As I was there to pick up heart medication (generic Plavix) I can't help but wonder how long before **'s BULLY tactics will result in harming a customer permanently. With today's "SUE" mentality, I'm certain Walgreens will regret taking no disciplinary action or enrolling her in some sort of Customer Service Improvement program. I will be using someone else from now on as This Loyal Customer will no longer use Walgreens or take their abuse. I had even purchased a discount prescription card which I will no longer need nor renew.

I am out of state on emergency care of my parent. My regular dr called in medications at this store. The store left msgs my scripts were ready. When I went to pick up 6 hours later they were not done. They then filled 3 of 5. I had to pay for those. Then wait another 30 minutes for others then pay again. When I got to my parents house two were incorrect. I had to call my pharmacist in another state. He checked to see if I could safely take the incorrect meds. He was NOT a Walgreens employee! I was not the only one to receive bad service. A little lady before me went through the same thing. The clerk said he had been there 16 hours. There was no caring, just bad behavior unless it was a cute young lady they were moved to the front of the line. I will never use this store again and don't plan on trying another one. Thank you.

For 25 years I have been a loyal customer of Walgreens, both for myself, and my family. I am over 70 and take 8 meds per day, many of them are 2x per day. That means in a year I fill over 100 scrips with Walgreens and they profit. I am not medicare, but carry top of the line Blue Cross with full scrip coverage. I am now leaving Walgreens for other suppliers such as Sam's or Costco or CVS or whatever. Will find the best for me. But here is why. This is how they operate. They will honor a fill on the generic drug at a low price to you, but they are getting the price from the insurer that is allowed per the list. If it is a patent/proprietary drug, you pay a copay that can be substantial, and they get a payment from the insurer that is also substantial.
More importantly, if they can, they move the scrip to a "30 day" fill, not 90 as written, and will bill the insurance company for the approved price every 30 days, and they get more money this way. If you run out of pills, they tell you that you have to wait; if you squawk they offer to "sell you" a few pills to reach your insurance refill date; they do not push the insurance company to fill even if you ask them to call your carrier; and here is the big kicker: If you say you will fill your script by paying for it, under the Walgreens script savings plan where you are a member, they tell you no. Why? because they want to fill with insurance in a few days where they make some real money. They do not want to generic fill, because that is all the money they will get, and they will "lose" the script money for another 30 to 90 days!!
You are denied your meds and denied a fill under their own Walgreens program where you paid to be a member; presumably so you were secure you would not run out. So if you "lose" a bottle, or one of two bottles, or leave one at your winter home by mistake and are 2,000 miles away, they shove you around and try to make more money off you. In short in their quest to make money, they do not make it easy for you to get your meds from them and to get service. Further they do not, in the end, compete with other low cost suppliers who offer the same price service such as Sams, Walmart, Grocery stores, Costco, CVS, Riteaid and so on.
So as long as i was getting just "good" service from Walgreens, I went along with their "scams" on using the customer and his insurance and getting the most money they could. But when it becomes denial or lack of service, to push and keep their money making greed, I am done with them. Did you also notice that they do not show you what they are paid from the insurance company? Could it be they do not want you to know what they are making off of you and your insurance by being their customer? And my friends, you do NOT get Walgreens rewards for the money they get from the scripts from the insurance you bring to them. Bad service, bad greed, bad games played on customers, and in a way, rigged.

My complaint is with Walgreens pharmacy staff at the store in prospect Heights Illinois, on camp McDonald and route 83. The pharmacy staff has very poor customer service plus they are not honest. My medication was not filled in full. I received half of a very costly medication I paid in full for. The management refused to admit any responsibility, they showed zero respect for my feelings. Zero respect for my future cost. They offered no reasonable answer on how this could happen. Instead all responsibility was put on me. Shamefully they involved my Dr in a disrespectful way. Shamefully. They did tag my account for future medication for a error THEY made!
I will never step foot in a Walgreens again. Consumers beware!!! Save your!!! Prescription BAG! Prescription BOTTLES...RECEIPTS... If you ever have a problem without the proof I listed...all these items you will not succeed. Walgreens will hurt you. This is shameful for a big company to hurt the small people that put trust in them.

I find out when I get home the coupon is good for one day. Today after getting all I wanted. So all you can do is throw it away which means no savings. Unless you keep going in and out all day each time you get coupon. You know my daughter through ins has spent close to $100.000 in drugs. Yes $100.000 for the HIV drug. Through gross incompetence, the Cleburne Texas Walgreens filled my ** (diabetic medication) with a mix of ** and a very potent anticonvulsant medication that looked similar and which I had not been prescribed. After inadvertently taking several of the anticonvulsant pills, I had such a severe dizzy reaction, I thought I might be dying and had my son take me for medical treatment. The dizziness remained for several days after ceasing use. Upon returning the pills to the pharmacy, the Walgreens pharmacist acknowledged that the prescription had been incorrectly filled. For the emotional damage and breach of trust to me and my family, I believe Walgreens should compensate me to ensure that they take such errors more seriously.

I went to Walgreens on Pole Line Rd in Twin Falls, ID. I made an order for some hand cream, since they do not carry it in the store, but online. I ordered on a Monday, paid for it, and was told that when it arrived they would notify me that it had arrived. One week went by, and I check on the following Tuesday (6 days). The item still has not arrived, and was told to wait for the call.
I went in on Friday (10 days after I ordered) and requested that I receive an refund for the item that I no longer wanted to wait any longer. They checked and checked again and found the order on their shelf. I asked how long it has been there and no one could tell me. It had a ship date of the day I ordered, but no arrival stamp. So who knows how long it has been there. I was then told that since they didn't carry it in the store and I had already paid for it I was stuck with it. Ultimately I am stuck with it, and have a very bad taste in my mouth for the service and the rudeness of the clerks on duty today.

I have repeatedly experienced rude and intrusive pharmacy staff conduct at my local store. I have many, many monthly Rx's that have been filled for over 10 years and never had a problem with any other drugstore until switching to Walgreens. I have done some major research online and see that I am NOT alone in my experience. They have criminalized me for 1 of my narcotic medications that I have been on for many years and NO, I'm not addicted. I have even seen an addictionologist to ensure I would never have another problem in addition to many health problems.
Despite them giving me constant grief over this, they have incorrectly filled my meds, even as far as misreading one of my meds and somehow managed to fill it with a major controlled substance and they did not catch the mistake. After I discovered it, I took it back to the store and returned it, and made them aware of their mistake. Seemingly that was OK to them but my PRESCRIBED meds are a problem.
I have heard the techs and pharmacist make rude comments about customers after they leave the store and wonder if I am too one of those people? I have read so many really bad customer-hating comments posted by Walgreens pharmacist and techs online as well as watching YT on this subject. "WOW," is just all I can say. No one should ever use a business, especially a drugstore where you are not only hated, but criminalized because you are sick. I have never seen anything like this, ever. I will be taking my business to CVS where they do treat their customers respectfully. Their pharmacist even want to phone the doctor to ask "why" you are on a certain med. This is totally unprofessional and discourteous to customers. And their prices, well no one would shop there for that. And their "reward" point system is absolutely a fraud compared to CVS. If people only knew, everyone would be boycotting Walgreens.

Then why have the phone number to call and place orders over the phone? And then you go into the pharmacy and you are told to wait another hour? So I am very upset.
At this point I go outside, I call the phone number back, speak to the same lady that I had previously spoken to. She says "yes your prescription has been released - ready for pick up". I said "then why when I just went in there ** told me that I had to wait an hour? I have been using Walgreens Pharmacy for about 8 years now and believe me I've had a ton of medications. I was ran over twice, broke my shoulder, my jaw in 3 places, my 7th vertebrae, my Achilles tendon was reconstructed, have two plates and 7 screws in my ankle, have a plate and 4 screws in my wrist, have glaucoma. I have ibs, I have ptsd, I have insomnia, I have restless leg syndrome, I am a manic depressant. Shall I go on. Yes I have given you so much of my business and time." She tells me to hold on. She goes to talk to him and gives me a line of "there was a problem with the insurance and sometimes you have to wait an hour more."
**. I've never had insurance problems. I work for cdcr. I have blue shield insurance. So as she is telling me that I may have to wait another hour I look at my watch and it is 4:27 by this time and she is telling me I may have to wait another hour when I was promised my prescription at 3:00. I asked to speak to her supervisor. He was ABSOLUTELY no help either. He puts me on hold then ultimately he hangs up on me then I get online and I notice all of the complaints that people have submitted to you regarding Walgreens Pharmacy. Why is it that just like you have people call to place their order. Why do you have this site for them to file complaints because it seems that nothing is being done about them.
I am disturbed by the training of the pharmacist. The people at this pharmacy were very unpleasant and they were laughing at me when I spoke with the assistant of manager. I will never go back to Walgreens again. The customer service at the pharmacy has been terrible. Rude. I pay my taxes. I deserve better than this. Walgreens do your JOB! People wanting to take or threatening to take their business elsewhere. Horrible business. No customer service.
What's the deal. Why has Walgreens allowed their pharmacy personnel to be so rude to customers and these are not just any customers - they are ill people, dying people, traumatized, depressed, frustrated, hurting people. Walgreens Pharmacies are understaffed. Pharmacy workers are expected to do too much. Walgreens' corporate greed endangers customers and staff. I removed all of my 92 year old parent's prescriptions from a Walgreens in Massachusetts because there was problem after problem from the automated phone service with inaccurate notifications resulting in unnecessary trips to the store and general confusion over the status of scripts.
One year ago my supermarket pharmacy closed and the nearest pharmacy to me was on Bridge Street in Philadelphia. I was welcomed to long lines, unfilled prescriptions, incorrect notifications, expensive brand names where generic would be fine. The staff however is great. But their workload is too great and the pharmacy is understaffed and forced to cut corners.
My most recent monthly script took almost two weeks to fill and 5 trips to the store. The auto refill said the pharmacy would contact the doctor to renew the script. Autocall "Your script is ready". Went to store; stood in line. The script is not ready. Autocall "Your script is ready". Went to store, stood in line, it was a different prescription they fill automatically. I asked about the other script and was told they have to contact the doctor. I explained the auto refill said they would do that 5 days ago. It was Friday and I asked for enough pills until they can fill it. Monday around 11AM received an auto call "that the prescription that was supposed to be ready Monday at 9AM was delayed." In the afternoon, I received an auto call "Your script was ready".
I got a ride to Walgreens on Wednesday around 3PM. Stood in line and was told my doctor never called back and probably would need to make an appointment before he approves it. I said, "I just saw him and I take this for my heart since 2003." I called my doctor--left a message. Asked if I could get some pills until this gets squared away especially with the auto messages I had received. The pharmacist said she could not do that. At 3:57, my doctor office called to say they had received a request from Walgreens at 3:21. I said, "You should have received one from Walgreens Monday of this week and also early the week prior." She advised that the only other request for me had been on April 28 for ** (a big money maker for Walgreens).
Finally, I paid to get a ride back to Walgreens and wait while I picked up my script. There were 6 people in front of me--1 being served, at least 2 cars in the drive thru and 8 people waiting on scripts including 1 lady who waiting several hours earlier. THERE WAS ONE CLERK HANDLING ALL THESE CUSTOMERS. Everyone there works like a slave. It is a shame. Pharmacists, like assembly line workers, are filling prescriptions, dumping them into large bins with scores of other filled scripts to be sorted through and placed in alphabetized baskets. The customer clerk rummages through the bins looking for recently completed orders.
Understaffing, overworking and, based on employee turnover, underpaying make a formula for disaster. A disaster that endangers customers. I have been at this Walgreens to hear the pharmacist call a young mother with a newborn to ask her to return the medicine that she was given and she would get the correct script. Apparently asked if there was any harm because the mother administered it to the infant, the pharmacist said, "No but bring all you have left back". It is my opinion that Walgreens Corporation is a dangerous company that is more concerned about automation and maximum output from each employee, making more profit with less staff than serving customers with respect for their time and more importantly their health and well-being.

I questioned why was the GoodRx price was not honored. I was told by the pharmacist that they no longer accepting that plan. I emailed GoodRx to tell them that they needed to update the website because Walgreens was not a participant in the program.
I received a prompt email from GoodRx stating that all of the pharmacies in the program was under contractual obligation to fill the scripts according to the price agreement. My mother contracted shingles about 3 weeks ago and her DOCTORS prescribed the shingles vaccine. I emphasize Doctors because their pharmacist refused to give her the shingles vaccine stating that their so-called training doesn't let them give the vaccine if it's been less than a year. My mother went alone and when she told me about this I was concerned. I never heard of this and found it really strange. I looked up the CDC website and it states that ANY point one could get the shingles vaccine even after an outbreak. Her first doctor instructions were to come back for the prescription vaccine once her shingles erupted and scabs started to fall.
Today my mother went back for her follow-up appointment and her original doctor was not in but they still gave her the prescription to get the shingles vaccine. The pharmacy refused to give her the vaccine, they even called her doctor (the one that was available) and so she did NOT get the vaccine!!! I called the Walgreens pharmacy because I thought there was a translation error and my mother seemed confused about what her doctor prescribed. I spoke to one of the pharmacists about why would they go against a doctor prescription PLUS what the CDC website states. The CDC also that even after an outbreak one could get the vaccine. The pharmacist could not give thorough nor intelligent explanation other than just stating Walgreens policy. I am disturbed by the training of the pharmacist explanation! Not only that - This has now instilled doubt with my mother's doctor's prescription and goes against what they had prescribed!

Found some items, filled my cart with toys went to the cashier to price check serval items, it rang up full price. So I told the cashier I thought they was on clearance for 90% off? She then said okay I will give it to you for that price. So I paid for all my items for that sale price. When home, this was around 12:17 pm and later on in the da,y I notice a bag of my stuff was missing so I called the store to see if I had left anything in cosmetic and a girl picked up. I told her about my bag with the toys and stuff then she told me to hold.
Then a guy pick up I assuming he was the manager cause I been to this location for a year now and know who was the night manager sounds like (I dealt with him before in person). So he comes on the phone and tells me there's a problem, that the cashier that rung me up wasn't supposed to give me it for that price and if I wanted the items that I had left to return them and pay the full price. Or get a refund for the items. So my question is can he force me to do a return for items I already paid for and make me pay full price when I already paid my money? He seem so rude on the phone to me and I have read the policy rule etc. doesn't say anywhere that they can force me to make a return and pay full price. My complaint was the drive-thru at Walgreens Store # 11307 824 N. 3rd St. Bardstown, Kentucky, 40004. I was appalled at the customer service at their drive-thru. First, I had one vehicle in front of me at 9:10 A.M. to drop off my prescription, and when I finally did get to the window, after 10 minute wait, the guy there was so smug, repugnant in every sense of the word, slow as a turtle in spring, and looked upon me as if I was some third-rate citizen. I am 56 years old, and an American citizen as long. Not one smile from this over-paid, unrefined, arrogant receptionist.
As he asked my name, and I handed him my prescription, he said "20 minutes". So I went home, waited about an hour, headed back. I returned to a 4 car line in wait. I then looked at my clock, it was a little after 10:03. They moved no one forever, and there's no one inside this store either, as a pharmacy goes, because no one I know goes inside to drop off their prescriptions when it's so easy to drop them off, at the drive-thru. Well after 30 minute wait, yes 30 minutes for 4 cars, pathetic, then arrived at the window.
The female receptionist now, seem to have one big attitude, yet, I always make the best out of a bad situation, and in vain, tried to be polite, and make small talk. She never even acknowledged me there, until she asked for my name. I proceeded to hand her my license, then in her voice, asked for my address, which is totally ridiculous when you have my own address on my license. Yet, this disturbed, hateful, disrespecting, uncivil gal never said sorry for your wait, or thank you. If I owned this store, I would fire every single one at this store at this "present" time. This pharmacy charges copayment amount as usual but when you go back at the end of the year to get your print out for the yearly medication purchased for tax purposes they only document partial amount of what you actually paid them (if you paid $50 they document $18) and what I understand after I've talked with the pharmacist today is that I must have given someone a coupon in which I never knew you can do that if you have insurance and in return he said unless I get him a receipt or something that there is nothing he can do about it. Well I've picked up this medication once in June last year and I either paid cash or debit and I had someone pick this medication for me and I know that is what they've paid because they showed me the receipt.
The medication was ** which I have stopped taken for two reasons. I felt really bad when I took this cholesterol medicine or any other cholesterol medicine and that I had to pay a $50 copayment on top of that. The last refill was at the end of January 2016 when they were told not to refill back in June 2015 but they did again in at the end of November which I had to pay $50 and $80 at the end of January 2016. I decided to buy a bottle of **, I was heading to the pharmacy counter which had a very long line. The line was really long, like there were 20 people in front of me.
When I reached the counter, the guy told me to go to another cashier. I told him I was waiting in line for over 30 mins and I am buying just **. Then he said "the pharmacy prioritize drop-off and pick-up only." I asked, "can I not purchase it here?" and rudely repeated "drop-off and pick-up only." Then I asked him, "just tell me yes or no, can I not purchase this here, since I was in line for 30 min?" Then the pharmacist, I'm guessing, stepped up and rudely said, "we give priority to patients, as you see we are busy as it is. There's a long line of patients behind you who just want their medication." I looked at her and said, "but I'm buying my medication too." So she just said, "oh my God!" Then rudely grabbed the ** and asked for me to pay for it. After I did, I told her, "so I can pay for it here." She didn't say anything but sarcastically said "have a nice day" and instantly yelled "next!"
So I just bought ** 100 tablets for $13 and change and took the train home. 3 blocks down my apartment is another pharmacy where I bought the first machine, took one and accidentally saw the same ** bottle being sold for only $8 and change. I was quite upset so I decided to buy this and just return the ** I bought for the next day. It was a $5 dollar difference. It's not much for a lot of people, but for me that's like my fare to and from work for one day. So anyway, I return the next day, since I didn't want to go back to the pharmacy, I went to the cashier to get a refund. The cashier then asked, "did you purchase this downstairs?" And I said yes, then she said to go back downstairs and get the refund. So I did.
When I got to the pharmacy, the same pharmacist was there. There was another line although not as long. When I got to the counter, I asked the old lady cashier for a refund. She then told me, "I can't return them." I told her, "I didn't open the box and I have the receipt and it was only yesterday." Then she said, "you can do this in the other cashier." I was already losing my patience so I said, "they told me to do it here." She looked at the pharmacist and said, 'step aside please, I will page the manager." So she did, and started ringing up other customers.
No manager came after 10, 15, 20 minutes. I went over to her and asked, and she paged again. 10, 15 minutes a guy came and asked "why?" She explained what I said and he just darted inside the pharmacy to open another register and gave me a refund. I started complaining and he explained to me that the reason the pharmacy chooses to prioritize patients is because they are understaffed and there is long line and about the prices, he said they just follow what corporate dictates. Looking around, I realized that people who work in this store hate working there. Most of them sound like immigrants who didn't have other options and couldn't speak English well. I am with Walgreens some years now. In the beginning I only had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to get my prescription filled.. I am using Walgreens, it is only around the corner from where I live. I have 2 very bad knees, walking is impossible now. So I wait at Walgreens without going home and coming back. Things have changed for the worse. Some month ago I notice the workers at the pharmacy made me wait for 2 and three hours, I wondered why, they did not tell me.
I get my prescription every 30 days, and at times it falls on a Sunday. This one guy, took my prescription I told him I wait, I waited and waited and waited, I went up to the counter and ask about my prescription. "Oh" he said, "I haven't got an answer yet." I ask him what kind of answer. He said "I left 2 messages and got no reply", I ask him again, "Who on earth did you call on Sunday.." He said the pain clinic, I told him "Are you crazy? There is no one there on Saturday or Sunday." He told me "I can not fill your prescription till Monday." I was furious, with severe pain. I went to Walmart and got my prescription filled, people like that idiot should never never work for any pharmacy. He should be thrown out.
After that incident things got better. I was even ask if I choose to wait, I wait. And in 20 to 30 minutes I have my prescription. When I went to get my prescription filled on the 1-5-16, I handed the prescription to the woman and told her I wait. About one hour after a man showed up and ask all kinds of idiotic questions, where did I get my other medication, I told him I do not get any other medication, how long I am getting my medication.. I told him look it up on the computer. Then he ask again "You don't get any other medication??" Now I got mad. I told him "No. This is not your business. To get my prescription filled is your only business, get my prescription filled." Well he said "It will take a while." I told him it has been a while already, he made me wait 2 more hours. He should get thrown out, and never work as a pharmacist again.
Another woman one time suggested to get a different medication. I told my doctor. He got mad. Those people have no right to interfere with doctor's decisions and prescriptions, they should keep their mouth shut and concentrate only on filling the prescriptions.. Something has to change at Walgreens pharmacy. People are leaving and going to other pharmacies.. For good reasons. Disrespect towards the customers. Mean and hateful service, letting the customer wait 2 extra hours before I can get my pain medication, this is outrageous.

I have been a customer over 20 years with Walgreen's and went to drop off a prescription inside of Walgreen's because this is supposed to be quicker service. So the first plan of action they attempted to discourage the customers with is to tell them it is going to take 45 minutes to get it ready while I wait in the store. So at the counter I asked them if I drop it off then how long will it take to come back and pick it up. And the technician told me about a hour but had a texting system that would text me once it was ready.
So I went home and about a hour and 15 minutes later called the pharmacy and it had not been filled yet. What offended me most at this point is that the tech told me that they were running about 3 hours behind and hopefully they will have it filled by when they close at 10:00. I told the technician that I had went into the store at 5:15pm and dropped it off at the counter which is supposed to be a faster service that they offer and the technician told me "if I did not like it I could come and pick up my script and go somewhere else". I do not see a reason why Walgreen's would let a employee treat a customer in this matter. Not going back and doing a follow up call this am with the manager there.

I have been a customer of Walgreens pharmacy for about 5 years. There were times I got completely frustrated with them and switched over to Walmart and a local pharmacy, but their app is very convenient so I kept returning. However, my last several experiences with their techs really make the app useless. The techs rely so heavily on the automated system it does not seem as though they know how to communicate and call in a timely manner when there seems to be an issue with a prescription.
My last visit, the techs never called that there was an issue. Five hours later, when my husband went to pick up the script, they said there was an insurance problem. At 6:45, when I called, after waiting on hold for 10 minutes to speak with a live person, I explained to the tech how I had dropped off a new prescription with a different dosage amount. The tech said they couldn't rectify the script because the insurance company was closed and to check the next day. After asking to speak with the pharmacist, the story changed. I also found out that she had lied about the insurance company being closed.
After speaking with the pharmacist (who was nice), I picked up the script. The tech did not apologize for the inconvenience and was extremely unprofessional. If this was the first or second time this happened maybe I'd brush it off, but after the 4th or 5th time, it's unacceptable. They really need more staff who are competent, have better training, and who focus on customer service.
The Walgreens brand claims to be so focused in health and humanitarianism efforts. But they should really have more focus when it comes to the front lines and the local community. Perhaps spending more of their money on their staff, than on their commercials. It's nice to see on the commercials of what they are trying to do to help the world, but it looks like smoke and mirrors when at the local stores, there is such poor service. The automated systems may be convenient, but that lack of common sense, personalism and professionalism, makes Walgreens seem like just another big company who cares more about profits than the people. I will be going elsewhere and will no longer be using their services or shopping at their store. I strongly recommend anyone who is looking for a pharmacy to research other locations.

One of the worst pharmacies I have ever used in my life. They have declined rapidly the past few years we've used them and now the place isn't worth the time. Not a single one of the pharmacy techs or pharmacists has ever indicated that they give a single thought to helping customers or doing their jobs well. The best you can hope to get is the one girl who is at least polite, while the rest are surly and entirely unhelpful. They must also be chronically understaffed because they are seemingly unable to handle more than one customer every 10 minutes. Large lines will back up if more than 2 people need assistance and it's typical to have just one person servicing all of these customers, often jumping between counter and drive-thru or not doing either and just typing crap into a computer for 10 minutes while customers stand around staring at them.
We have filled numerous scripts that were not ready when we were told they would be, sometimes waiting 2-3 days to refill. They will also encounter occasional issues with filling a script and simply ignore it, never contacting the patient to inform them of this, just letting us wait around wondering. The level of incompetence at this pharmacy is incredible and seems to only get worse as time goes on.

I've been a customer of Walgreens store since I was a small child. I remember my parents bringing me there for prescriptions anytime I was sick and I always preferred the store even over the competitors like Eckerd's and now CVS. But now I'm really questioning what kind of service I've been getting all along and why I haven't given much consideration to other competitors. My change of heart began today, hours before I decided to sit down and write this. I needed a physical exam and wanted to use my insurance to have it done before the 1st of the year for tax purposes. I decided to give the walk in clinic a shot.
I went to the clinic closest to my house, 601 E. Commercial Blvd and I found that there were four people checked in ahead of me, two with appointments already. I signed in, figuring it shouldn't take too long to be seen. My name appeared as 5th on the list and so I sat and waited. I noticed it was 6:10PM and the 5:30PM appointment still hadn't been seen. I was undeterred though, especially since I had to get this done before the new year and because the next few days didn't have evening appointments available, the only time I was available to take this appointment since I work normal business hours.
As the night neared 7pm, my name was second from the list, I was excited. I saw the nurse practitioner take out some trash and walk back to her office. While she was inside, I noticed one of the names come off the screen. I thought it was odd, but I didn't complain since I was up next. I know I didn't see anybody go inside the office, so I assumed it must have been a call to cancel the appointment.
My name sat on the next up list for some time until I noticed that my name was no longer on the board. The board said that the clinic was now closed. I approached the pharmacy and spoke to an employee who said not to worry. He said the nurse was still in her office and I would probably be next as long as I signed in earlier. I sat and waited another 10-15 minutes and finally the door opened. I was relieved because it was already 7pm and I was ready to get the exam over with and head home. When the nurse emerged from the room, she was carrying all over her belongings including her purse. I was worried because it looked like she was leaving.
I saw her walk over to the counter and speak with the pharmacy. I could hear one of the technicians tell the nurse that I was still waiting to be seen. She refused to acknowledge that fact and began discussing other business, knowing I was sitting in the chair behind her. Another patient she had seen earlier had a question for her and looked surprised she was leaving because apparently she had unfinished business to discuss.
The nurse then turned to walk away and she discussed something with the other patient that was waiting for her. The nurse then looked at me and said I'm sorry, you'll have to return tomorrow, the computers are down. I told her that I was signed in and she gave me an expression of surprise (a very very unbelievable one. Good thing she doesn't act for a day job). She then had the audacity to say that she called the names and that I wasn't there, though she had no clue what my name was.
I had nothing that I could say to her because at this point, even if I could somehow convince her to drop her belongings and help me, would I really want her to?? I mean, after all it's one thing to make a mistake or even blatantly disrespect a customer, but it's a completely different thing to be dishonest!!! She never called my name or attempted to. I wonder what other things she falsifies or what other important details she skips over. The other patient who heard the nurse's excuse was vocal to me and said she knew I had been there the whole time and really didn't know what to say to me. I asked to speak to a manager and they sent a shift manager who said she would contact the store manager, but that my complaint should mostly be directed to the clinic office.
Wow, I can honestly say that in my entire life, I've never ever had such a poor customer service experience. It took me quite a bit not to yell or lose my temper or belittle this lady who in one swoop wasted 2 hours of my time and caused me so much more of an inconvenience because now I have to reschedule this exam. I hope Walgreens finds a way to improve this kind of behavior. I understand this may come to down to my word vs hers, I encourage you to review video cameras and the guest log and see how this incident really happened. I just don't know what else to say, but I am truly angered by what happened to me today.

This store is always in shambles whenever I go there. It is not maintained well. The customer service is some of the worst I have experienced. I even get no help and attitude when there are no baskets for me to shop and I ask for a basket. The shopping baskets are being used to store merchandise by the way. If you ask for help finding an item, forget it, you are in for a rough time. And so many prices are mislabeled, that I always have to argue about price at the counter, and the clerks are too lazy to go check the price tags when I tell them it was labeled at a different price than what they are ringing me up. If they do, they are rude, take forever, and make me wait forever. They never end up honoring the labeled price, even though it's their mistake. So many items are priced incorrectly. The customer service at this store is just appalling, I only go here as a last resort at night, or on my way home from the subway, if I really need to.
Several dairy products were room temperature, not cold at all, and were spoiled because of this, including yogurt, butter, cream cheese, and cheeses. Some of the dairy items were visibly spoiled due to inappropriate temperature, including yogurt containers that were expanding with gas. I spoke with the manager, but I was told that they did not agree with my concerns and nothing would be done about it. They did throw out the bad yogurt but they refused to acknowledge a problem and refused to lower the temperature in the dairy case, which is room temperature. The clerk raised her voice at me and rolled her eyes. What about items that don't expand with gas? You won't know they are spoiled until you get home. Spoiled dairy items are dangerous, people can get food poisoning. The food quality overall is terrible. And the attitude of the manager is just unbelievable.

I just left this store. I have been coming to this Walgreens for the past 7 years and I may not always have had the best experience, but the good definitely always outweighed the bad. Today, however, is not that day. I'm in the store browsing for stocking stuffers and have been in for a good 15 minutes or more when my 5-year-old daughter says she needs to use the restroom. I stop shopping and take her to the cashier knowing I need them to unlock the door to the restroom when the cashier tells me there's no public restrooms.
You obviously see me shopping. I'm right in the makeup aisle right across from you, and you're the one who greeted me in the first place and now you're telling my 5-year-old she has to wait for me to purchase something to use the bathroom? Then your fellow cashier decides to say ‘call the manager’, and you stupidly stand there like an idiot. I declined that since when I first walked in you had another customer with another cashier saying the manager was paged 5 times and never answered. My child's not gonna be able to wait that long.
Thank God my house is just 5 minutes away, but you people should be ashamed of yourselves. How pathetic can you be to tell a 5-year-old she has to wait for me to buy something in order for her to use the bathroom. And of course I'm walking out on your apology not listening. I don't have time to wait for a half-assed, insincere apology while my child has to use the bathroom and you won't let her. Forget me ever coming here again.

Person who had surgery brought RX for a low dosage "controlled" medication to Walgreens Pharmacy. The past RX's had been filled at Walmart. After waiting a week for Walmart to get this Med in with no luck, they told us to try Walgreens. They had called & confirmed that Walgreens had this RX in stock. I called Walgreens to discuss that patient had a "Pain Contract" that specified Walmart as the place RX had to be filled. Pharmacist advised me that he could fill it but any violation of said contract was between patient & Doctor. This was just after 4:10 pm CST. The patient arrived at Walgreens appx 4:30 & gave RX to pharmacy clerk explaining the circumstance. Well over an hour later, he called me to say they couldn't fill the RX.
I called to talk to pharmacist. It took several attempts to get anyone to answer their phone. Finally, a clerk answered & I requested to speak to a pharmacist. After 53 minutes on hold, someone gets on the line & I explain the problem. After 5 minutes of hearing Walgreens policy re: controlled substances, I asked if I was talking to the pharmacist (an assumption I'd made as that's who I was holding for). Answer was, "no I'm a tech". So I asked for the pharmacist & after another 30 plus minutes on hold, I hung up.
The patient had been waiting in Walgreens for well over 2 hrs. When he went to ask what was going on. The Tech said pharmacist (Don) needed to confirm validity of RX before he would, not could, but would fill it. I finally got to talk to him & I said I'd call the dr. & have him call them. 2:40 minutes into this fiasco, the tech calls patient & returns RX as doctor had not called yet. They refused to keep the RX there waiting for approval. I had asked if pharmacist could call Walmart pharmacy to confirm RX. He had said no. He had to speak to Dr. When I called Walgreens & spoke to Pharmacy mgr. I was told that RX had been approved (Apparently Dr had called) - I told him what happened last afternoon & evening, he recited Walgreens' policy on "controlled" meds. I pursued it & he said it was "at the discretion of the pharmacist" who was on duty at the time.
He told me how long it takes for an RX to get to the pharmacist after it's given to clerk. He said they are very busy & then told me by talking to me for 12 1/2 minutes, he'd been keeping 6 people waiting for their RX. I asked for corporate phone number & proceeded to call them. When I got a customer service rep on phone & told her it was a pharmacy related complaint she took the info about location of that Walgreens, etc. Then she proceeded to read me their policy re Certain RX meds.
I said I'd still like to talk to corporate & was told they do no call backs regarding pharmacy issues. She kept repeating their policy. I believe I was told the same thing at least three times. She kept telling me that all corporate would do if they did call back would be to read me their "policy" but "they won't call back". I asked her if I could just get to them to make some suggestions, she parroted the same policy info. She was a customer service rep who offered no services, just spit out their policies & rules. I told her they needed more pharmacists on duty or to stop taking prescriptions in to fill at a certain point. The abuse of the customer is a flagrant disregard for the welfare of patients or their caregivers who come to get needed medications. The stress of dealing with Walgreens & their indifferent Corporate offices is not worth any discount you might get.
It seems that by keeping pharmacy customers in store for extended periods of waiting they get a good amount of discretionary income from other purchases made in the store. Walgreens is not out for the people. They are looking out for themselves. By the way, according to what I've read, these "pain contracts" are not legal requirements of any state, town or province. In other words, when the doctors office tells you you need to sign one because it's the law... It's only the law of the legal jungle so doctors can protect themselves from any liability caused as a result of a pain RX. There is no law like this on record anywhere in US. We did get the RX filled the next morning at a cost that was $12.00 more than Walmart. We do have insurance.
We had stopped patronizing Walgreens on a regular basis due to another of their policies. It was in 2000 on Christmas Eve when we ran into the South Florida Store to pick up a some ornament hangers & a few other things. There was a man in a wheelchair sitting outside the store selling flowers. He was a double amputee with difficulty using his arms. We talked with him & he said he was a Veteran. We told him we'd buy some of his flowers on the way out. We were in store for about 15 minutes. When we came out, he was gone. We went down the road to pick up a few more things before everything closed. On the way back past Walgreens, we saw this Vet sitting in a little planted median off Walgreens parking lot & almost out of site.
We pulled around & went to ask why he was there? He still had all of his flowers as he'd just been dropped off when we first saw him. He said the Mgr. of Walgreens made him leave. It was against "their policy" for him to be there. We bought the flowers he had left & waited with him for his pick up ride to arrive. He had had some nice soul make a call for him. It was Christmas Eve & nearly closing time when Walgreens made him leave. After that, we only went to Walgreens if there were no other options as they do stay open all night except certain holiday(s). Walgreens needs to review their policies & start caring about the customer a little more.

I used to shop at Walgreens often, weekly during lunch. When I would purchase beauty aids (soap, shampoo, cold meds, deodorant) I would be denied check out service at the main counter and told I have to use the beauty supply counter, which is NEVER manned when I arrive. I'm told they will "call her". Many times this takes several minutes. Once she was on lunch and I waited 6 minutes for someone to arrive when all along, the main counter is customerless and could be checking me out. I've been late return to work several times and I know this cannot be a company policy. Unsure why this happens but someone needs retraining and redirection on customer service and procedures.
I was outwardly denied service 2 weeks ago and told "my manager said I'm not allowed to ring up beauty aids at this counter". I had one bottom of hair color, a bottle of shampoo, a bag of popcorn, 2 sodas, several over the counter cold meds and tissues. How can this be? How can I be denied service at a main counter when I purchased products in that store. I can see a prescription drug? But all other products? Sent note to their consumer affairs with no response.

She comes to the window and tells me that she cannot fill the script for the pain medication or muscle relaxer without calling my doctor on Monday.
I would totally understand if I was a new patient but I live at the same address and same medication from before when I was a regular Walgreens customer. I just looked at her because I'm now in a panic about how much pain I'm going to be in. If Walgreens says they follow their GFD policy and patient care is that highest priority how is this caring for me? You have to call my doctor to say, "Hey, did you prescribe this and for what?" Obviously he did since his name and DEA number is on the written prescription.
Needless to say, it's Sunday, 3:30 am and I've had no sleep because I'm in so much pain I'm at the point of slitting my wrists. There is a particular pharmacist at my local Walgreens in Hendersonville that always gives me a hard time with my prescriptions. Other friends of mine have complained about the same pharmacist on multiple occasions. He refused to refill my prescription so I complained about him to the store. I have never had a problem with any other pharmacist in the decades I've been going to Walgreens.
When I complained to the store about this pharmacist, I told the store manager that I had other people that wanted to speak about this pharmacist as well. I just received a letter in the mail stating the "Walgreens will no longer serve you as a customer." I was not interviewed by any supervisors. No one contacted me about my complaint. No one followed up to find out about others I know who wanted to complain. Nothing. They just dismissed me completely. The District Manager of Hendersonville has her name on the letter. I'm going to go above her and tell my story.

Some months back I took a new 6 month script that the Dr. wanted me to take. This was in Walgreens in Cushing Okla. First fill was shorted 50 pills, when I took it back OF course they said the counted twice... But finally after having to stand there and argue with their help the pharmacist double checked and found they had errored. OK for 2 months, the 4th monthly refill of a 6 month refill, eras time. But Walgreen said I didn't have any refills left, I had filled 3 times, from a 6 time prescription, then it was I couldn't refill because I hadn't filled all the 6 quick enough. Crazy. OK so I went and got a new script, which of course my Dr. wanted to know why back before the 6. Walgreen rule??
Today after going through all this and feeling like they messed up the count again. I just waited till the refill date on bottle. Which I tried to refill. BUT... Now they refused to fill because they say I have to wait another week. I pointed out that their bottle said today. They said that means nothing and they will determine when I will be allowed to refill. Talked to me like I'm a 65 year old idiot, rude, to whole vocabulary I'd like to describe these people. DO NOT USE WALGREENS.

The Corner of Unhealthy has become the likely slogan for Walgreens. I have been a client of the Walgreens/Pharmacy located at 101 E. Lakemead Parkway in Henderson Nevada, for many years. I feel like I have suffered every year that I have been with them. Like many, I too am a creature of habit. I like consistency, knowing the employees, and knowing what I can expect. This pharmacy has placed me in unhealthy precarious positions many times. Please do not get me wrong. The manager of the pharmacy is named Jamie, and she is a lovely soul. Mike is another pharmacist that has been great. Anyhow, Jamie has been very helpful. However, when she is out, things GO WRONG AND QUICK. I have lost count of the times that I have had to go without my medication because of another pharmacists misinformation, or incompetence, and egotistical, bad arbitrary decision making.
I am disabled and must utilize medical transportation at times. I cannot count on two hands how many times that this pharmacy has told me to come in to pick up my scripts and I have gotten there to find out that they were not filled because of some STUPID and arbitrary decision or incorrect information. Or that they were not filled because they were out of stock AND though another Walgreens HAS the medication, that they cannot FedEx it to their Walgreens. Or that they were not filled because someone forgot to order them. Or I have been told that the scripts WERE NOT ready for pickup only to check again and find out that they WERE READY for pickup. Or that they will call me when the scripts are ready but then that do not call me.
I am talking about the same medication that I have been taking for YEARS from Walgreens. I call Walgreens on Tuesday's during the month to make sure that the mgr Jamie places the medication on the order form. In addition, I am so disgusted with constantly being told that Walgreens has 3 days to fill pain medications. I think that they should advertise this fact on television. I wonder how many customers that they would get with this info. lol I have repeatedly reportedly this issue to Corporate. YET, there has been NO RESOLVE. The district manager, and executive team needs to get into this store and help Jamie out. It is just not reasonable that things only go right if she's at work. This is a 24 hour store. Surely she cannot be there 24 hrs a day.
I have had more issues than the ones that I've listed.. This store has harmed me financially, physically, and mentally. I am still trying to get resolve. If this is happening to me then it is happening to others. WALGREENS NEEDS to stop allowing the BAD Egotistical Pharmacist to make arbitrary medical decisions because they will only make a corrupted one. I can never refer anyone to this pharmacy unless it improves. For my sake, I hope that it does.

Went back 35 min later - got told they didn't even start on my prescription because they ran it thru insurance which I told them before I was self pay. Said to come back in 15 min later. So I did.
I had massive amount of pain going so I was relying on this med to get the pain under control. Then the lady said to me, "It's going to be longer. We just had more people come in with prescription," so mine was put aside. I told the lady, "I've been here 3 times and now I have to come back a 4th time." Seriously. I have been filing my local RX's via Walgreens when I do not have to use the other terrible company. I use them mainly because they are 24 hrs and I can go before and after work. When you drop off an RX they take at least an hr to fill it, and they are rude. Why does it take over an hr to fill an RX. When I go during somewhat busy hours, the line circles the store, and I think they move slower. I have called the manager, and filed out each survey and it gets worse. I don't understand. The cashiers are unfriendly, the store is not that clean, and the people handling the drugs have no clue. Today I called 115th and Halsted to see if they had the chicken pox vaccination and the tech told me yes so I drive all the way there and the pharmacist tell me they do not have it, he has to order it. He also tell me to wait a few seconds he will call around and we waited and after 20 minutes we left. They are NEVER consistent and it takes me 4-5 trips to the pharmacy EVERY single month just to get them to sell it at the correct price. Today, on my fourth trip this week attempting to get my prescription, they suggested that I just buy it at the cash price and apply for reimbursement later. First and foremost I would like to say "Thank you" to those who have had stressful and demeaning experiences at Walgreens and have written about their encounters! I thought I was the only person dealing with this company's incompetence. They treat you like a criminal when you have legitimate scripts for medicines such as anti-anxiety and pain medication. Whom do these pharmacists think they are? They have God complexes and purposely delay giving people their medications.
My doctor gave me a script for pain medication for my back and the pharmacist in Temple Terrace, Florida was so rude, invasive, and absolutely apathetic to my situation. She tried to in a subtle manner imply that the script was not from my doctor! My doctor works with five other doctors in a primary care medical office. The idiot pharmacist saw another doctor's name on the script and tried to say that I had taken a script from another doctor! This was a triplicate electronic script with my name and address on it and signed by my doctor. I was infuriated and immediately contacted my doctor to rectify the situation. Meanwhile they finally gave me my meds 2 days later without an apology.
I feel that if I were an elderly Caucasian woman they would not have questioned the authenticity of the script. It is revolting to have to deal with the idiocy of this company, but what is even more surreal is that these pharmacists have the power to delay our medications without any justification. Please spread the word regarding this company, a group effort to inform others and take a stand is the only way changes can occur.

Before I left the Main Street location, Mitch, the pharmacist, checked on a prior insurance problem for me and gave me specific information as to how the billing error could be resolved. He was very busy, yet took the time with the Walgreen's filing problem. Several days later the error in processing was resolved over the phone via Walgreen's internet service by a very professional representative (hold time was 8 minutes!).
After leaving the Main Street location and going to the Long Hollow Pike location in Goodlettsville, Alex and Jennifer were very professional and polite in handling my needs, including helping me resolve an issue with a prescription for my (unknown to me) now "rare" antibiotic - tetracycline. The end result was, with pharmacist Jennifer's knowledgeable advice, an approximately $900 prescription was changed - after I made a call to my doctor and suggested a less "rare" alternative. The final cost for the alternative was $28.00. Thanks Jen for helping a 72-year-old senior citizen on "fixed income" keep the budget balanced for an entire month! You did not have to help, BUT YOU DID! Retired AT&T Manager.

I have an anxiety disorder and I haven't been able to sleep the last month due to an event taking place. I saw my primary caregiver, whom I've been seeing for over 10 years. She prescribes Ativan(?), sends it via fax. After the appointment I run some other errands and I make it back by 8pm - 3 hours after my doctor called it in. First of all, neither prescriptions called in were filled yet and 2, they had to 'contact my doctor because there was a problem with my prescription'. Then, they tell me they attempted to call my doctor but because it was after 5, nobody answered the phone. Duh. So at 8pm, I end up calling another pharmacy nearby asking them to please transfer my script because I needed it to sleep! The other store who's always filled any prescription fax order was unable to fill this particular one because Walgreens had a problem with it.
I call Walgreens Saturday morning and was asking why I couldn't get my meds and the pharmacist stated it was the law to contact the doctor for ANY scheduled meds. I did some research of my own and prescribing laws state that schedule IV or V drugs can be called in via electronic script or fax, but it had to have the prescriber's signature. Some schedule III and all of schedule II drugs need a paper written prescription directly from the doctor in ink. Besides the actual law, I know my doctor wouldn't submit an invalid prescription as it's never happened before. I was unable to have any anxiety meds ALL WEEKEND.
Monday rolls around so I call my doctor to have them take Walgreens out of my profile and to ask them to send the new script over to the other store, so they do. I told my doctor Walgreens tried calling the office; but my doctor has no record of receiving any calls from Walgreens! I feel like they intentionally wouldn't fill my prescription because it was a weekend! I've also had problems with them filling my vyvanse - a stimulant. I had to literally run out of meds before they would be able to fill that one.
I feel like Walgreens pharmacy marks me as some kind of drug abuser and purposefully makes it difficult to get ANY scheduled drugs filled. So to sum up, they refused to fill my anxiety meds, wouldn't transfer my prescription to a store who WOULD fill it, and in other instances make me run out of meds before I can fill a new one! What the heck is their problem?! I'm still very upset.

Let me start off by stating that this is not a review of Walgreens' "neighborhood" pharmacies. It is directed towards their "Online Pharmacy" which has to be and is the most colossally incompetent organization on the planet. How in the world did Walgreens get the authorization to offer online services when they can't find anyone with an IQ over 30 to work for them? They are by far the most inflexible, pre-programmed, unmotivated individuals I've ever dealt with. They make K-Mart look like NASA. Imagine an organization that supplies medications of all types and has absolutely NO clue how to work with their customers, insurance companies, doctors, etc etc. They set their own rules and expect everyone to follow them.
Four months ago I changed insurance plans. For some absolutely bizarre reason, Walgreens "online" randomly decided which medications they would and would not ship me given this change. During this four month battle the replies I received from them had nothing to do with any laws, my coverage, my age, the state I lived in or about half a dozen other fabricated and falsified excuses they came up with. What it all came down to is that Walgreens no longer wanted to pay the shipping charges. Think twice before ever signing up for this "Online" service. However, if your view of convenience is physical and mental torture with visions of people in black leather outfits, then it's a great place to go.

I ordered 4 boxes total before I used up the contacts from my vision center. The first time I opened and put the contacts from Walgreens in, I could not see anything with them on, I could see better without them. I opened all the boxes and tried a pair from each box hoping it was a bad one in the box and the rest would be good. They were not, they were all bad. I wrote a note to Walgreens explaining what happened and put the contacts I didn't open in the return envelope with the note. I did not hear anything from them for several months.
I wrote an email to them and got this response: "I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. I have located your order and the status of the refund. Per the notes from our warehouse, your order could not be refunded because all the boxes you returned were opened. Our Contact Lens policy states that only unopened boxes of contact lenses can be refunded for the full purchase price of the items. I apologize for the inconvenience again. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!"
I wrote back saying how could I know they were the wrong contacts without opening them and why even send a return envelope. And asked for a partial refund. Never got another response. Felt like I was scammed. Ended up giving Walgreens $350 for nothing. If anybody thinks of using this service please use great caution. I reordered from my vision center and the contacts were perfect, could see normally again. Not sure what Walgreens did, the numbers on the boxes were right but the contacts were not even close to being the correct ones.

8-17-15, I went to Walgreens in Bellingham WA at Guide Meridian and Bakerview Rd. I was getting a prescription for my 90 year old mother of liquid ** . The pharmacist gave me 2 bottles of mixed medication and one bottle of powder and a small bottle of water to mix with the powder, because he said the medication would expire before I needed the third one. Six days later (Saturday) we realized we were going through the medication too fast to last the prescribed 15 days. We were 1/2 way through the 2nd bottle on day 6. When I started checking the bottles, I noticed that the doctor had instructed that 67 ml of water should be mixed with each bottle. The bottle of water they had given me had only 33 ml of water in it. Doing some rough math, I determined that each of the bottles had only had 33 ml of water put in them.
8-23-15, I went back to the pharmacy Sunday morning to ask them about it. The pharmacist (Paul) insisted that he had done nothing wrong. (That was actually true, as it was a tech that mixed the medication). Receiving no instructions from them about how to treat my mother's medication, I returned to the pharmacy on Monday to talk to the manager Sheila. No instructions, or apologies from her either. 8-24-15, I then tried to go above Sheila by calling Walgreens customer complaint. They refused to put me through to anyone higher. I continued to call various Walgreen numbers until Jessica said she would put it through.
8-29-15, I received a phone call from someone who said he was at the corporate office. I explained what had happened. He said he would take care of it. I have never received a phone call back since that time. No one has called to see if my mother is alright. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Location: 1910 W Braker Ln Austin, TX 78758. So I seriously just had the worst embarrassing experience at Walgreens. As you guys know I love makeup and I'm starting to do tutorials so I try out new things. Sometimes it work sometimes it doesn't which is why I love to shop at Walgreens. So I went in to return some items that didn't work and for us oily dark skin girls you get more bad than good. So I start pulling out the products. The cashier tells me “Umm hold on let me go speak to my manager cause our policies change all the time.” I didn't think anything of it. Sometimes if it’s over a certain amount they want to put it as a store credit. I thought maybe that's what she was talking about. Well the manager ** says that "We have some concerned about frequency of your returns" and advised that that don't get credit for the products which I have no idea what that means.
An employee was helping find a concealer and I was talking about how much money I've wasted on the bad product and she informed me I was able to make returns as needed. Keep in mind I live right next door. I'm in this store almost every day for the last two years so I asked her “What do you mean by we? Who is we and are you all actually reviewing my receipts? If so you would know I keep way more products than I return and I usually exchange products and I'm in here every day.” Keep in mind I've made 6 returns in the last 5 months but I've made more than 20+ purchases within that timeframe. She said she knows that but they will no longer accept my returns. At first she said her and the district manager reviewed my receipts. I told her I want to speak with her manager since they are discussing my returns. She changed her story and says she and the shift managers reviewed receipts. So then I ask her “May I see the receipts?”
This lady then back tracks and say they watched me on the video surveillance cameras from the times I'm come in the store which shocked me speechless. So now I'm being treated like a freaking criminal. Now at this point I'm pissed. Its people standing behind me as she telling me this, so now I'm being talked to and treated like I'm stealing from the store and not like I've spent hundreds of my hard earned dollars at this store. I explained to her I do make up and I buy a lot at once and it’s usually new products. I'm not going to keep a product I can't use and I have always followed the guidelines of the returns policy. Now after this lady has embarrassed the hell out of me she now wants to apologize and they were just really concerned she would not provide the names of the "we" people due to their privacy but yet they were able to invade mine.
Then she goes on to say “I didn't know you did makeup.” How would you? No one asked me anything but the cashier knew and why apologize now when you could have asked me these questions before you prejudged me? You just told me 5 minutes ago you won't be accepting my returns from now on. You’re discussing my purchases with the staff. You apparently have a look out poster for my face because the cashier went to go talk to you about my return and the return policy hasn't change and now you wanna say sorry after you find out. I do makeup tutorials so I asked for the number to make a complaint. This lady gives me the wrong number 1800 wagyess. I go back to the store told her the number is wrong. She doesn't apologize for providing the wrong number. She goes to the office to get another number and she knew it was wrong because she hands it to me and says it may or may not work.
This is the only number I have. I call that number and it’s disconnected. Keep in mind I waited 6 minutes for her to give me a wrong number. I hate to blame my experience on race but I can hardly believe a white woman would have had the same experience especially pulling video surveillance. Really? I have never been so disrespected or treated like a criminal in my life. I'm spending money at Walgreens almost on a daily basis. I was told by a cashier I was able to make returns as needed so this was really unexpected. I will never shop at Walgreens again which is a huge inconvenience for me. I buy everything from Walgreens - garbage bags to milk.
I get my meds filled there but on pride alone I will not step foot back another Walgreens. I did nothing wrong but now I don't want to even show my face in this store because how I was treated and knowing the employees have been brief on my purchases and have been told to contact management for my returns. I feel violated and I will be seeking legal advice on my rights as a consumer. I didn't break any laws. I followed the returns policy but I was treated as a criminal.

This is the worst I have ever seen Walgreens operate. Either that store is new management or Walgreens is on the way down. This was a well-insured patient and I am a well-respected doctor. This is a recipe for failure for Walgreens. That's all.

I went to Duane Reade for the first time ever in nyc. First was at 1150 avenue of the Americas and the second was at the 4 E 42st. The first one was so rude. He was young but very slow to begin with. He talked and took his times "serving" the customers as he enjoyed biting his lips and peeling of its skin with his fingers despite the long queue. I simply asked the cashier if he was gonna put my things to the plastic bags and he answered me rudely, "are YOU gonna put those in the bags?" and said that 3x with a rude expression and tone. That was nothing though compared to my second visit.
I was just looking around the snacks area when I encountered a tall man standing in front of me holding a huge plastic shopping bag. He looked at me for a while as I walked by and continued what he was doing. He took a box of hair dryer from the shelf and put it into his plastic bag... and I thought he was one of the sales. He wasn't. I looked at him from the corner of my eyes and followed him as he walked casually out of the store with that unpaid product in his bag. The store's alarm rang as he walked out casually, and the customers who were queuing saw and was staring at him while the cashiers pretended as if nothing happened and just didn't even look to see what happened. The alarm went off and everything was back as if nothing happened.
Then, I went to my mom who was looking for medicines. Unfortunately we encountered this rude couple who kept on talking about doing "IT" and ** with his girlfriend and they just kept on being loud, disturbing all other visitors there. What was unbelievable trashy was how he couldn't control his loud mouth that he had to talked and spit while talking, but not on the direction of his girlfriend, but to my MOM who was beside him. Man turning 45 degree to just SPIT on someone must have been tiring. I was SHOCKED. We did nothing but felt pity and sad for him, maybe they just lack affection and love. Then I met him at the cashier again. I was feeling unwell and having sore throat. I coughed badly near him and he got all annoyed, "Get away from me if you're gonna cough like that! Eww!" whining like a child indeed. I just walked away happily, clearly he doesn't have manner. Simply coughing is nothing compared to what he did to my mom.
As I was paying, I talked about this to the cashier but all she did was ignore me and did not help me with anything. Maybe because they were all the same that they defend each other. I even talked about the stealing incident and she pretended as if she didn't hear a thing. Everyone was very rude. I asked for help but got ignored. I said "thank you" to a sales but she just ignored me and got busy with her phone. I will NEVER visit this store again. It is just a collection of people of the same kind - rude and ignorant. Even I, a young child, know manners. Yet those adults sadly have no clue of the word MANNER at all.
I hope this experience of mine will be read and considered by the Duane Reade higher ups and consider what to do with this. Additionally, PLEASE hire people who TRULY wanna work instead of slack offs who spent their time listening to music with earphones or playing with their gadgets during work hours. Much displeased.

I dropped the prescription off and the guy told me 45 minute wait. I returned an hour and 15 minutes later and the guy said it wasn't done and I needed to wait another 15-30 minutes. I am in severe pain and all the guy would say is "we had 50-60 prescriptions in front of you, you need to wait." Most awful customer service I've ever received. I will never return to Walgreens.

There is a 24 hour pharmacy about a minute's drive from my home, which I have been using for about a year. I switched to them from Costco, only for the fact that they are 24hr, and works with my work schedule. I love the Costco in Lakewood, CA. The staff there is amazing and has been for the last 5 years of my life but their hours did not work with my work schedule.
This part is not the pharmacist's fault. They have been out of my Anti-Anxiety Medication the last two months in a row. This month will be three. I was told that all Walgreen's were having an issue and that there was no stock of it. They were not sure when it would be in stock again. The first time they checked at a nearby sister store, and they had it in stock, so I went there.
The second time, neither store had it in stock, and I needed to leave out of state so it was important that I had it as I did not want to be stuck away from home and have a panic attack. I had a still valid refill for an weaker prescription that I had been switched off of but it would have to do since all the pharmacies I contacted (even those not being Walgreen's) were not stocked. All of them stated it was on backorder.
Due to it being a different prescription and a weaker dosage, I didn't think to ask if there would be a problem when/if my regular prescription came back in stock. They didn't offer any words stating that there would be an issue either. About 25 days go by, and I'm out of the weaker prescription because, well, it was weaker and one pill would not do the job sometimes. So I call to see if they have it in stock at my regular Walgreens and they say, "No, still on backorder." So I call the alternate store, and same thing. I contact other pharmacies that are not Walgreens and the same issue. Finally, I decide to contact a Walgreen's in a neighboring city. I figure it should be no issue since they are in the same family.
I call and talk to the Pharmacist at the Lakewood Walgreens, near my old Costco, as they are 24hr as well. Perfect. The Pharmacist then states, "Oh, you are taking this anti-anxiety medication, so I can't fill the other since they are basically the same thing." I state the issue, and what happened with it being out of stock. He then proceeds to tell me that the Walgreens near me is not out of stock, and he isn't either but that he is putting a hold on the medication since it is "the same thing." I told him that I got where he was coming from, but that it wasn't the same thing. This is why my doctor switched me, because the old one was instant, while the new one was time released, and the dosage was .5 mg higher per day.
Andrew (Pharmacist) then decides to make it a pixxing contest and tells me "Don't tell me how to do my job!" which shocked me, as I wasn't being rude and explaining the situation to him. So I cut it there and said, "Fine - what do I need? Do I have my doctor call you?" To which he responded that even if the doctor called, he would not fill the prescription. He would only fill a prescription of a higher dosage of the old prescription. This confused me. I said, "You said they are the same thing, and that you can't fill them because of that, but now you are saying you will only fill it if the doctor gives me a prescription for a higher dosage. So if they are the same thing, and the prescription on file is for a higher dosage, don't you have what you need right there?" His own logic seemed to irritate him. I was just trying to make sense of the situation.
I asked if I could get a corporate number from him, which he mumbled off to me and hung up. I called back and a different counter person picked up, so I asked to speak with Andrew. I wanted to make sure I had all my information correct for when I called with my complaint. He then stated "If you have your doctor call me and state that you are no longer taking "X" medication, I will fill "Y" medication," which was a different story from what he'd told me just seconds earlier.
So now we have two issues: Either my regular Walgreens is lying about their stock, or Andrew was lying about my Walgreen's stock. I'm going to go with Andrew lying, since he stated that he couldn't, or rather wouldn't, fill my prescription even if the doctor called - but when I asked for a corporate number, the next time I called back, he stated that he could fill it if my doctor called. Which brings us to the major issue here - You have a pharmacist with absolutely no customer service skills, that is working customer service.
He lied to me about stock and about not being able to help even if my doctor called, tried to get under my skin so that I blow my top and he could play victim (?) if it was brought up (I'm guessing here) but my top didn't blow - his did. This is a bad reflection on Walgreen's. I can understand being out of stock, as many other pharmacies were as well and after searching online. It looks like this prescription has had these issues previously where there was a manufacturing issue and many pharmacies across the US have run out, but what I can't understand is the pharmacist being rude, and then throwing a fit when his logic is repeated to him to show why the prescription can be refilled, and then refusing to help even if my doctor calls - then the tune changing when I ask for a corporate number.
It should not come to this. While Costco is going to be harder to work with because of my schedule, they had the medication, and the prescription was transferred. I explained the issue to them, and their pharmacist was quick to grasp what I was saying and filled the prescription with no issue. Someone else will have to pick it up for me, since I'll be at work during their open hours and won't make it in time to Costco to pick up my medication due to this wonderful L.A. traffic, but this one incident with "Andrew" was more than enough to get me to leave Walgreen's for good.
If Walgreens just fills spots with anyone who has a pharmacology degree, but no CS skills, I can see them losing more and more customers. Also, they are way overpriced. The one off the shelf medication I do get from them is $30, while the same off the shelf med is $5 at Costco, and $8 at Walmart. I have insurance and can go to any pharmacy. I just used them for the 24 hour convenience but convenience is not worth the rudeness.

I've been with Walgreens for nine years now. And yes I'm looking for another job but getting one here is not easy. Moving here from Texas to Washington I thought was a good move but it's not. My hours were cut from forty to 32-34 a week. I make barely over $1000.00 a month. A $7000.00 cut on my tax return. That I can prove. How can a person live on that? They can't. If it wasn't for my son I'd be out on the street. One thing about managers at Walgreens they have their pets. They get away with not doing their work and if you say anything they always have an excuse why it wasn't done so I don't say anything anymore because it does no good.
I've watched them hire people and cut their hours to one day a week because they didn't like them. So they would quit. One girl I work with brings her kid to work and he sits in the break room. Didn't know we had daycare. The ASM has kept her granddaughter also at the store. I didn't know this was allowed but the managers make their own rules to go by. When it comes to raises their pets get the raises but the others get corporate ones. 10 to 20 cents. They should move management to different stores and the ASM also. Their pets sit in the office talking to other managers and not on the floor working. They're on their cellphones and not helping the front cashier when they call for help.
I've seen the manager playing games on his phone also. That's why the camera is turned off in the office. No proof. Also management treats us like we have no brains at all. They are very demeaning to workers. Not the pets they can do no wrong. I use to like working here but no more. Walgreens needs to clean house on managers. They also need to take care of their employees which they don't. I've been working here for nine years, been passed over for head of department and making over, barely, $1000.00 a month. Actually, I thought it was 2-3 days early and explained I have gastroparesis and have been vomiting my medications. I explained this happened a couple of times but I saw the whole pill so I took meds again. This is NOT something I should have had to explain to the pharmacist!
While I understand it is now a "controlled substance" I had a proper rx from my doctor dated two days prior but Brandi held firm about not releasing my medication until she could contact my doctor. By this time it's 5pm and all pharmacies close at 6pm on Sunday's so there was absolutely nothing I could do. Had I known earlier, I could have taken script to ANY OTHER pharmacy and it would have been filled. I went back to pick up my other rx I had left at 5:55pm. THIS WAS AN ARBITRARY DECISION MADE BY ONE BAD, EGOCENTRIC PHARMACIST THAT HAD NO BASIS!! My doctor had written the rx, my insurance was willing to pay for it, she just "wasn't comfortable" issuing me my meds when she knew I was completely out. I am a senior citizen who travels alone twice a year from Florida to New Hampshire and I use a TracFone for emergencies and to keep in touch with family. This year, I accidentally dropped my phone on a tile floor and destroyed it the night before leaving Florida. I rushed to Walgreens at 9:30p.m., bought a new TracFone, charged it for 3 hours and then had my minutes transferred to the new phone. Unfortunately, I didn't try the phone until the following night when I stopped in No. Carolina. I could not receive incoming calls and the only way to disconnect an outgoing call was to remove the back of the phone and take out the battery. When I got to NH, I immediately called TracFone and LG.
After hours of waiting on hold and being transferred from person to person, their response was that I had to return the phone to the store where I bought it (Florida)! I called the Walgreens store in Littleton, New Hampshire. Talked to Shannon, the store manager. I told her I was a Balance Rewards customer, explained the problem and asked if she could do anything to help me. She said she would replace it. I drove to Littleton only to find that they did not carry the model I had. At first Shannon said she couldn't help. Then she said she would send an e-mail to surrounding Walgreens stores to see if anyone might have my model. She called me the next day to say she had located one in Southern NH. Then she arranged to receive the phone, did the exchange, and returned the defective phone to the supplier at no charge to me.
Shannon could have ignored me like TracFone and LG but instead, she went above and beyond her job requirements to satisfy a Walgreens customer. It was a wonderful experience to deal with someone so professional. THANK YOU Shannon!!! I may drop TracFone service but I will remain a happy Walgreens customer, that's to you.

When the delivery date passed I called LaserShip and found the package coming from NJ to MA was in FLORIDA! Then I got the following from LaserShip: Thank you for your tracking inquiry. I apologize but your package has arrived to the wrong LaserShip facility. We are currently forwarding the package to the correct facility for delivery and expect the package to be delivered no later than 7.8.15. Please let us know if there is anything further we can do to assist.
Today is 7/11 and still no package. I again wrote LaserShip and received the following: Thank you for inquiring. Your seller has requested that this package be returned. Please contact your seller for further assistance.
Neither d.com nor LaserShip notified me of this. So I called D.com and they will send out the order again with free expedited shipping. I said I would certainly hope so and in good faith they should have taken something off the order. They took $10 off the $36 dollar order. I will not buy from them again.

Then when I picked up the remaining amount I was owed, they tried to charge me a second copay! While things eventually get resolved it is very frustrating to have the pharmacy tech insist that the doctor that they sent the fax to was on the prescription. These patches are a very strong pain medicine. Each prescription comes with sheets & labels explaining how to apply the patches along with warnings & safety information. After an Internet research on expired ** Patches I have learned that expired patches could possibly release not enough or too much of the medication. I understand that pharmacists must go through checklists while dispensing prescriptions. How can an expired expiration date slip through that checklist?
Was I in harm's way by wearing the expired patches? Will Walgreens replace the patch I had to remove early? The safest way to dispose of the patches is to flush them down the toilet. I flushed the one I removed early & I'm going to be 1 patch short this month if Walgreens doesn't replace it. I hope returning these to the store is going to be a simple process. Tonight I went into Walgreens as I have for 20 years to fill my pain medication with a new prescription from my primary care physician and I was told that they were out of the drug and did not know when the distributor was going to send in that medication. I knew this did not make sense as I had been filling this same drug since at least 2003. They advised me to go to another Walgreens to see if they had the drug in supply. I went home and called another store and asked for the pharmacist. This pharmacist ** told me they wouldn't fill it either. I asked why and she told me it was because I was prescribed ** and it was a dangerous combination even though my drug was prescribed as needed.
I had been getting these same prescriptions filled for many years at the 8th Avenue and Langley Avenue store and I was told the DEA was watching the pharmacies as well as the doctors prescribing the medications. My primary care physician has been treating me for over 15 years and is very well respected in the Sacred Heart Health system. I asked the pharmacist what I was supposed to do and she told me to use another pharmacy so I said "Well I guess I need to take all the prescriptions that I fill to another pharmacy," and she said "No just that one." I said "Walgreens boasts how they take care of their patients and how safe it is to use one pharmacy for all your needs and now I have to use two pharmacies."
I said "Well you tell me what else I can do," so she said I would need to go to a pain management doctor and get my prescriptions from him and then Walgreens would fill them. This makes no sense to me because my PCP physician would be still ordering my **, Walgreens would fill it and my pain management would be prescribing the same medications but yet that's not dangerous as long as they are coming from two different doctors. What sense does this make? Okay so now I have called my pain management doctor and told him the story and he laughed and said "No problem, we will write your pain medications."
Now I have a new problem. Because the prescription for my pain med was printed and a copy goes to the DEA I cannot receive another prescription for three months because there cannot be a duplicate. Now Walgreens is refusing to fill this prescription and I have to wait three months to get a new one so what is more dangerous, taking an occasional ** with my pain med or completely cutting me off from the pain meds I have been on for years for disc bulges in my neck and back. Now Walgreens has to take a look at what harm they are creating by refusing my medications for one more prescription until my 90 days is up. I am ready to call my lawyer and go up the ladder if I get no help from Walgreens corporate. I was a dedicated patient that used Walgreens for my lifetime and this is how they treat me.

Walgreens in Magnolia on Hwys. FM 1488 and FM 1744 filled my medication wrong. When I went to the doctor yesterday, my blood pressure was low and cholesterol was really high. She said it had to be the medication. When I picked two medicines up on May 27th, I noticed one was for a generic that I had never gotten. The receipt said the name of my usual medication and had the correct co-pay on it. I should have questioned this but I just assumed it was the generic for what I take. After taking this medication for over three weeks, I noticed I was really tired. When the doctor told me my medicines had to be wrong, I checked when I got home. The generic med was a blood pressure med. So I was getting double dose of blood pressure medicine and no cholesterol medicine.
When I called the pharmacy, they said they would look back at their records. They would not admit the mistake. I told them the receipt is right but the med in the package was wrong. They have no record of me getting the generic blood pressure medicine. This was dangerous to my health as I have had a heart attack a few years back and have stints.. My prescriptions are all being transferred to another independent pharmacy in Tomball. It will be less convenient for me, but at least I know the pharmacist and trust him to give me the correct medication. Please all of you check your medications when you pick them up. Don't just trust that the pharmacy will just get them right. Read the label and open the bottles to make sure it is what you are used to taking. I have had a couple of problems with this Walgreens. I moved Thanksgiving Day 2014 from Arizona to Colorado. Nov 4 I went online to BC/BS of Arizona to see if I had any refills left, I did. So I ordered it and received it before I left. I have the form and where the box says # of refills - it is blank. The post office had my forwarding address effective Thanksgiving Day. In January I noticed my credit card had a charge on Dec 21 from Walgreen's for $30 (that "was" my co-pay). I called them and asked why I was being charged? I was told they mailed my prescription. I said I didn't order it, nor have I received it. I was told there was nothing they could do. It was mailed and I could call the post office and see if they have it. I was given an 800 #. I tried for 4 days during my lunch time never got through.
I tried calling when I got home from work but they were closed. So I decided to let it go I wasn't going to bother with $30. Then I received a letter from BC/BS saying they paid for my prescription in December of $144.70 and that I needed to pay them back. I called the number on the letter and left a message. I then called an 800# - they had no clue as to what I was talking about even with me giving them a claim #. The lady who signed the letter finally called back from BC/BS a week later and left me a message. She was going to put my claim on hold for 30 days and I needed to call the RX department and file a grievance.
6/24 I did just that - They had no idea what I was trying to ask of them. They gave me a # and told me to call the Pharmacy department. Guess what - they couldn't help me either. Told me to call Walgreen's Mail Order. I explained the situation and ** said she would put me on hold and ask someone. When she came back on the line she said "because this is 7 months old we cannot help you". I said "but I have a letter stating that BC/BS paid the claim" and the representative told me to file a grievance. I explained I filled out the proper paperwork with the Post Office prior to my move. (They have forwarded all my mail since then). I said "I don't know what is on your packaging if you say 'do not forward?' but I never received the prescription nor did I order it."
** put me on hold again. She came back and said she was told there was nothing they could do since is was 7 months old. If I had contacted them earlier they might have helped. I said "I did" in January when I saw the charge on my credit card for Dec 21. I explained that I never received a prescription. I don't know if it was returned to you, lost, stolen. But I never received it. She said "the only thing that is in this record is that we removed the auto fill in January." I asked her name and asked her manager or who she talked to, she said the "help desk - **".
This is just wrong I have done everything I think is right to solve this problem and no one will help me. I will NEVER NEVER use Walgreen's again nor will I step foot in any of their stores. Maybe this seems silly to some of you over $144.70, but I refuse to pay for something I did not receive. On my credit card bill it says Walgreen's ** AZ. 12/21/14. No order #, but I will put my member # below in the box so you can locate my account with them.

He can get his infusion at the comfort of our home while the nurse comes over and does it here. Their nurses are awesome. They know what they are doing. They are very experienced and polite. Extremely patient as well. The negative part of Walgreens is what goes behind the scenes. The operations.
Scheduling... They tend to forget to make the schedule. We are the ones who call in and remind them to make the schedule to do the infusion. When they make the billing... they almost harass you to death... lol. It's like Remistart does not exist to help support the patients to pay part even majority of it, to the point where in it messes up the billing process. The people in Patient Pay - Corporate Center (specifically **) oh my Lord! What a horrendous person! She doesn't even want to work with you! I don't even know why she is in that position. She cuts you off in the middle of you explaining what's going on... You try to tell her how Remistart works and she has her own explanation... I tell her that Remistart provides us with a debit card so they can charge it so we can pay off part of the bill. But she insists of a different form.. What the heck is that? That's an extreme negative! We are the clients... Where is she? She needs to go back to training!
You try to call Billing... and nowhere can you get to them... Their Billing statement takes you somewhere else... I even spoke with another gal from Walgreens Reimbursement and she tried to get a # for me and she couldn't even find one. Now that's pretty sad. They cannot schedule an infusion for the patient until we settle billing even if it's their mistake... So they would rather the patient suffer until they get paid... Corporate over health. So... Since no one called me to say that it was ready I called them on 5/13/2015 to find out that they DID not have my son's medicine at all and they DID not notify me that they DID not have and when I mentioned this to the lady she tells me and I quote "You can come pick up your prescription" and take my business elsewhere if I don't like how they run things.

We received flu shots this year at Walgreens in El Sobrante, CA. The pharmacists handled customers and cash before us. The pharmacist had torn gloves that were never changed to administer the shots. He dropped something on the ground, picked them up & came into the shot room to give us our shots. After the injection, he placed his hand/finger (with the torn gloves) over the opening (not cotton) then used the same gloves and process to inject my wife. Also after sitting in the drive-thru line for 20 minutes, after being called & told, "Your pills are ready," they can't find them & make you drive around again & get back in line. You then have to drive through the homeless people who harass you.
Our purpose to alert the store manager about this was in hopes they would correct these issues. The manager said she would review the tapes to verify our complaint & never responds. I switched to mail order to avoid going to my local store because of their practices & found out you lose your reward points when refilling by mail order. I called corporate about the loss of points, explain why I no longer go to this store to pick up refills & she initiates a new complaint. I request a return call from corporate. They shove it back to the store manager who calls me 3 times today & says our complaint was fraudulent.

I brought in 2 paper prescrips as is standard for my grandson's adhd meds. When I called to have the 2nd one filled, first they said they couldn't find it. They said they would call back and I waited over 30 minutes. I called again and was told they actually filed the wrong one and that I would have to go back to his doctor to get another one. This was a saturday. He was out of meds and doctor's office closed and he was going to be going to school on Monday with no medication. Not good.
2 weeks later I call to have my prescription refilled. (3 refills on bottle) I get a text saying it can't be filled. I call and ask why and they say I need my doctor's permission. I call my doctor and leave message. Half an hour later I get a call from pharmacy apologizing for the mix up and that my prescription is ready. Just too many mistakes. I've changed to a different pharmacy.

I went through the drive through, the clerk told me that if I didn't pay the fee on top of the co-pay, I couldn't have the prescription. The "fee" is an accounting foul up because of diabetic supplies that were sent by our former family doctor. If they knew they didn't have the contract to fill these things, why did they fill it? They said "No Charge" and would bill the insurance. They are demanding $35.39 to be paid and if not, no prescriptions!!! I've been a loyal customer for over 35 years, their loss.

Drugstore.com suffers from very lax security - I found a charge of almost $100 on my debit card from them and then found that I was locked out of my own account. Apparently, someone had gained access to my account, changed the email address and my password and then used my debit card info to purchase products. Drugstore.com failed to alert me about the email address change - the sort of thing that one expects from a seller - and they also failed to let me know about the password change - a very big red flag. I won't use them again. I've been a customer for years but they've given me problems in the past (billing FSA to my debit card despite my having a valid FSA card on file) and shipping broken items. I won't be to sad to move my spending elsewhere.

The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription because the doctor who ordered it had an office in Antioch CA and one in Stockton CA. They told her that they do not fill scripts from out of county doctors, and so refused her her meds. But one of the advertisements Walgreens does is that they will fill your prescriptions anywhere in the country so that you never have to worry about being out of your meds. Antioch is only 40 miles away and my wife has both Medical and Medicare. Medical is statewide and Medicare is countrywide. She has never had a problem like this before.
Walgreens employees are rude and not informed of company policies and also of the laws regarding medications when Medicare is the provider. Humana is the prescription provider coverer. She went to Safeway and had no problem getting this filled and she has never used Safeway pharmacy before. Needless to say she will never be using Walgreens again. When I went to the counter the pharmacist said they did not have the prescription I needed and they would have to order it. I told her I just talked with someone and they said they were working on it. She told me they didn't have the correct dosage and I asked why they didn't call me back and tell me this? I would have been more understanding if this exact thing didn't happen to me last year with my own prescriptions. That is why I personally switched to CVS but I was picking up my son's while he was at work. I had gone in 3 times and they still didn't have my prescription because the distributor they use was out of them. They kept telling me it would be in a couple of days and it never was. This was the type of prescription that you need to take every day or you would have withdrawals.
I asked if they could contact another store and they told me they all use this distributor. I understand problems arise, but I think it would be courteous of them to call their customers when they don't have a prescription ready or available. I asked who I could speak to file a complaint and she said she was the pharmacy manager. Well I want to write an official complaint with the company if anyone knows who I can send it to. From what I have read, there are many people out there who are fed up with this pharmacy. Needless to say, I will NEVER use this pharmacy again. Awful!!!!

I don't normally use this pharmacy, but I went in for convenience. Long story short, I gave his info to the pharm tech and was told to wait for 20 minutes. I shopped and went to pick up the meds. Told to come back in 6 minutes. (Strange. OK.) Went back. Was told by the kid on register that there was no script. Spoke to original tech. She ignored me. Pharmacist says she needs to verify authenticity.... Huh?
OK. Now I'm fuming. I was told that it would be a 20 minute wait. I'm sure that the reason for the wait was because the med was narcotic. Pharmacist says she's working on it. There are NO other customers. Three people behind the counter. No one even started to fill it for at least 40 minutes. Finally done, nearly an hour later. Kid has med in his hand. Scans the printout and walks away from the counter to the pharmacist. More standing around. I don't get it. Walgreens pharmacy has regulations regarding filling meds. They claim it's for the patients safety and protection. Pharmacist = God? Uh uh. Doctors in Massachusetts are generally cautious about writing pain meds, as there is so much scrutiny. Don't treat us like addicts. And if we are??? Not your problem.

In fact doctor's assistant had faxed to them three times. I even had received email sent from Walgreen earlier that day informed me the refills are ready for pick up before noon but I end up had drag my poor mother. Went there second time but the refills still not ready!
The staff even lied to us said doctor had declaimed three refills which was total ridiculous! My mother said I should have them transferred to cvs or costco in the first place instead being humiliated by such irresponsible pharmacist and this had reached the level of absurdity. I've called/stopped by more than twice and can not believe they still not get the job done!!! It's a shame because I select this place simply because it is really the closest one to my house. I can not agree more to the other poor guy who wrote a review last Nov. said that he had been treated the same like what I've been treated today...
