Why is it when Walgreens gets my script on WED. They wait till Saturday to request special authorization that is not needed. Further they do this on a Saturday when the office is closed. Do you believe this is helpful to a patient who needs this med. No. It's delayed three days and you are out of medication.

8 yo grandson accidentally overdosed on his insulin. MD sent prescription to 24 hr pharmacy. Pharmacy won’t answer phone to see if prescription will be ready & store mgr REFUSED to go tell pharmacy that an emergency call was holding. Had to drive at midnight from another town to find that the emergency medication is not ready and they’re in no hurry to fill it. Worst customer service ever from pharmacy and store manager. Will be filing a formal complaint with pharmacy board and Walgreens corporation, not that they care anyway.

Worst customer service ever. I showed up to get my 3rd shot here. But on 9/6/23 I got 2 shots but didn’t get my $10 coupons for them. The pharmacist said they were put on my Walgreens’s app. Well the internet sucks in this store so couldn’t use them to shop. This place should have some kind of internet so customers to be able to use it to shop. Thinking I need to probably transfer my prescriptions and shots there. Which is down the street from here on Sycamore Avenue in Vista, CA.

They said never received. This is all the time. I always have to ask for a supervisor to get proper help. They also have people working there that do not understand English so it makes it hard for you to get proper help.

I used to use Walgreens pharmacy but switched to Walmart pharmacy because I was sick of the hassle of having to deal with Walgreens. I ended up having to use Walgreens again to pick up a medication because I needed a pharmacy that would be open late at night. I went through such a hassle just trying to get one simple medication filled, which reminded me of why I’d left Walgreens in the first place. I sat on hold for a half hour for them to claim they hadn’t received my prescription from the emergency room doctor. Called the emergency room department who assured me it had been called in and that they’d gotten a confirmation receipt from Walgreens.

Called Walgreens again, sat on hold for a long time to find out that it was in fact called in in the first place but they were out of stock and had to be transferred to a different Walgreens. Then it took 5 hrs to be ready at a Walgreens on the other side of town. I then waited for 45 minutes in line when picking it up. I will never, ever use a Walgreens pharmacy again. They need to get it together. Maybe they’re understaffed…idk but it’s not worth the headache.

Even if app says prescription is filled, prescription is not filled and after waiting in 30 min line have to wait another 30 minutes for them to fill prescription. Walgreens has become an absolute disaster and now they are adding vaccines and urgent care and they can’t do the basics of filling prescriptions. Total lunacy!

I called the Nashua NH Walgreens (Amherst St), on 9/23/23 to check on the status of my prescriptions that were called in by my Doctor on 9/21/23. The phone for the pharmacist rang and rang and no one picked up. After several unanswered rings, I hung up and called the pharmacist again and got the message there were two callers ahead of me, then one caller, then the phone rang and rang and again no one picked up although it appeared after several rings that the call would connect and it appeared that I was then immediately placed on hold. This happened several times over and I could not get through to anyone in the pharmacy. As I could not get through to the pharmacy, I called and asked to speak to the store manager. The manager, Dan, took my call and offered to connect me directly to the pharmacy. He said I would be connected and not to hang up.

I was then put into the same non-responsive on-hold music and eventually even that was disconnected on the Walgreens side. At this point I am disgusted with the way customers are treated at Walgreens. I no longer care to speak with the pharmacist or to check the status of my prescription with Walgreens as I am having my doctor send my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Walgreens, you've lost a customer and I recommend that anyone else having issues with Walgreens that they do the same as me and use a different pharmacy. It should not take 5 phone calls (waiting on hold) and additional time on their website to find out whether a local store has the Covid vaccine. I telephoned my local store and they said they had it but that I had to make the appointment online. The website said they did not have any within a 25 mile radius. The first time, the call was routed to a call center. The call center transferred it to the store. The store transferred it to the pharmacy who was closed for their lunch hour. I was told to call back in 10 minutes. Several times after waiting for an extended period, my call was dropped even though I had not moved. Eventually a pharmacist said they do have it but they only have enough to fill for the appointments that are already scheduled. Is there some reason that they could not share this information with the other people that work in the store including the pharmacy techs??? They have the worst customer service!

I entered my info and the bot said I would be connected back to the team member. After waiting 2 minutes, the call disconnected. I had no idea if the order went thru or not. The last time I ordered online there was also a problem and I had to straighten it out in the store. This chain of stores is not worth my time or yours.

You could have the exact same thing sent the exact same day every single month and Walgreens still will act confused when they get your order. They’ll never save the correct coupons so have fun showing insurance every month. Even though it’s the same, literally every single month. He was pressuring me to do my own research to find the drug. He simply walked away from me.

Later I asked another pharmacist over the phone to help me find this drug and found the name and manufacturer. I came back in with the information and another pharmacist took the name looked it up and said I could order it stating the price as if I couldn't afford the drug...but finally telling me I could order the drug with my physician's approval. The staff at the front counter register was also rude to me. Refusing to bag items bought at store... I finally requested a bag to put my items into.. She finally bagged my items for me. WALGREENS DRUG STORE #03102- One of our patients went to this store. Was her insurances did not covered her medication and she needed to pay out of pocket. The patient informed our office and we called the pharmacy. When we spoke to the pharmacist she states that a simple generic cough medication such as ** was not covered my most insurances (which we knew she was lying, we had prescribed other patients this medication and had no issues picking it up from other pharmacies). We asked that could it be possible, the patient has Medicare and Medicaid. She had not even try running the claim through Medicaid. We then were informed by the pharmacist that it is not covered and she can use a coupon to lower the price, which was $56.

We called a different pharmacy (local one) the pharmacist was so kind to process the claim and realized that the only reason Medicaid was not paying was because due to the patient having also Medicare as primary insurance, she also a managed plan to pay for her medications (Empire Plan) which the pharmacist informed us that it lets whoever runs the claim know about such plan. Thanks to them patient was able to obtain her medication at no cost.

So, all WALGREENS DRUG STORE #03102 had to do was do right by the patient and ask her to provide the Empire Plan card which has all the information needed in order to process the claim for the medication. But, no. It was easier to just lie to the patient (was it because she is an elderly?) and ask her to pay $56 for a medication when she was insurance. 1. Staffing shortage - Every store, not just one. I actually feel bad for the pharmacist and technicians. The phone consistently rings because no one can answer it. If you call a store be prepared to wait, sometimes over a half hour. The shortage makes a hostile working environment and a bad experience for the customers.

    2. Product shortage - A lot of times medications are on back order and it may take over several weeks to get one prescription filled. If you get a partial order, the rest of your order is cancelled then you have to get another prescription from your doctor. Time after time this makes me run out of my medications and I get sick or go through withdrawals. Some of my medications takes 3-4 weeks to start working again. The shortages of medications are adding to the pharmacy's bad reputation.

    3. After I get my last prescription filled, I'll be switching pharmacies. It's to bad. I looked up how much I spend just in prescriptions per year and it's around $10,000. So I've been getting my medications for ten years from the same store. So by me switching stores, Walgreens pharmacy just lost $100,000 in a ten year period. That's a bad business practice if you ask me. Something else, more and more people are doing the same thing. No wonder Walgreens is failing.

I won't not recommend them at all, but I have to use them for my DME. I have never seen a pharmacy that is incompetent like this one is, don't think they know how to bill insurances correctly. It's all I've gotten from them is the complete run around for almost a week. They obviously don't give a damn if their customers have what they need and rely on to live. I get better service from Wal-Mart's pharmacy. At least they do their job and do as they say. Unlike Walgreens who doesn't, they told my Dr's office they would send over the prior authorization papers so I can get my DME and they never sent them over. So aggravated and fed up with them and their **. It's really bad when you can't get your diabetic supplies that you rely on especially to survive.

I would have told this Walgreens off but I didn't want to get kicked out of the store., they have employees who are not sure if they submitted your insurance correctly. Really are you kidding me seriously!?!? They constantly have a billing error where my insurance will not cover them, when especially my insurance has told them numerous times of what it has to be billed under. And they refuse to listen and I'm in the middle of all of this. If they did their job and do what they say this wouldn't be an issue. Even though they have had the prescription for more than a day, they haven't bothered to order the medicine until I call. Sometimes calling doesn't help, because when I arrive, it was entered into the computer wrong (as cash pay) and they didn't fill it because it was too expensive for 'someone' to pay.

Had they checked my account, they would see it's me. Same prescription, same insurance each month. So I spent 45 minutes in line, and another hour or more waiting on the prescription. Last time I went in and had to wait for them to fill it (after my normal phone call before I came in), they didn't give me the full prescription. I'm ready to move my family's business to another pharmacy. This last problem is not being able to fill a regular prescription because I obviously had been shorted pills last time. I run out and can't get a refill because the insurance says it's too early. This happened 3 months ago and now again. I had to speak to 4 different operators. The last one pulled a "Hello, hello, please call back." And hung up!!! Well, that blew the top of my head off!!! I could write a book on their mistakes. I'm done!

People tried to explain to me that Walgreens Pharmacy was always the better of 3 or 4 different pharmaicis on the Fort. WRONG! How many times do I really need to get a pre-authorization from my doctor. Who has to argue about medication that YOU NEED? I wonder how many patients you've turned away because YOU can't find their information. It's sad. Good luck to whomever set foot there.

When large corporations cannot serve their community, they need to CARE ENOUGH about their customers to make arrangements to fill their critical scripts. I live in a small town and my SSRI, Effexor, was sent there. After several days of being "in process", they now post a "temporarily closed" sign with no instructions for customers on when or if it will re-open. This has caused me to go into severe withdrawal and has disrupted my work and basic functionality this week. This is a drug that should never be stopped abruptly.

I can't imagine some of the life-saving drugs that people had to jump through hoops to get scripts transferred, etc. They made no effort to transfer scripts to other Walgreens locations or to contact customers to instruct. THEY DON'T CARE enough to take the simple initiative to at least attempt to help people. They just closed and basically said, "You're on your own people". Very unprofessional and reckless!!!! I'm now on day 6 of no meds while my doctor's office scrambles to reallocate. The only good news about this is that I've been forced into withdrawal and I'm going to ride it out the best I can. I never want to be in this position again and my trust for pharmacies, especially Walgreens is completely gone. I'm sure they'll delete this because they'd never want their customers to know the truth. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!

The main Walgreens.com and app has contradictory information. For example some prescriptions I’ve filled as of the last month and it shows last filled January 2023. My endocrinologist called in 6 months of ** a month ago, app shows no refills.

It’s a mess as well as the pharmacy itself is and issues I’ve had at the stores with a pharmacist not feeling comfortable refilling something vital to my diagnosis ordered by a psychiatrist/neurologist. The next day another pharmacist called the Dr and had to have the doctor reorder it because the woman canceled it completely. Ironically I’ve been on it 4 months and the same Walgreens filled it all those months with no issue. The app, the main .com and physical locations are all a hot mess. The .com often freezes. I need more ** and since their app shows zero refills instead of 5 I guess I have to call her office. I am done with Walgreens. Moving all my prescriptions…surely I couldn’t find a worse pharmacy. Last week, on Saturday around 6pm I went to Walgreens, (located at 3317 Montrose Blvd. Houston, Texas,) to get my medications that I was taking since 2015, 8 years now. My doctor prescribed me a 3 month supply, which I received before. The person up front told me to wait 20 min. I did. Then he told me that pharmacist have to talk to me, because she doesn’t want to give me 3 month supply. She talked to me very briefly and said that she doesn’t feel good about giving me 3 month supply. I pointed out to her that it was given to me before and also a few times it was not in stock for couple of month and other meds do not work for me, so my doctor wants me to get 3 month supply. She said no. Then I told her it’s ok and give me one month supply and I will be talking to my doctor about getting two more month somewhere else. The pharmacist left.

I waited and waited for another 25 min. When I asked the nice men working upfront what is going, he said that she is discussing it. After another 15 min the shift lead Tony came to me and said that she refused to prescribe me anything, even one month supply. All this time she did not come back to me and explain me anything, not even looked at me. The pharmacist name is Phoong Lam. I felt that her personal unfairly dislike of me was very discriminatory. The Walgreens vision is ”to be leading partner in reimagining local healthcare and wellbeing for all”. How is this feeds into my story? To me it’s sound like she did not include me in the category “for all”. If someone in retail store would not sell me a dress, it’s not dangerous, but denying medication, that was prescribed by a doctor, sound to me like putting my life in danger!

Items out of stock, shelves disorganized... The pharmacy is the worst. They send emails, texts, and phone calls to remind me to reorder meds I don't need. When I received a 90 day supply, they harassed me after 28 days to renew it. I asked them to stop and they could only turn off all communication, so I never know if a script is ready. Calling them requires several levels of robot messages, none of which are ever helpful and then a long wait for them to answer the phone. It is usually not someone in the store I called, so I have to go through everything again.

I have some coupons for copays. They tell me I don't have to present them each time because it they are in my file, but they often try to overcharge me and are mad when I tell them they missed the coupon. Is it my fault they billed it wrong? Recently they charged me a great deal more for med. I questioned it and they said it went up (15xs?).

I called my insurance and they said it was an error but I had to get the money back from Walgreens. They said it was not an error. The first pharmacist actually yelled that I should call my insurance and not go to them about it. I complained about her, and the second pharmacist said they charged me the correct amount. Since I complained, he told me not to return to that store. Not that I planned to, but I think others should know that they cannot be trusted, or believed, and you just might end up being overcharged. They also lied to me about the packaging of another med. My mother has been having nothing but problems using Walmart Pharmacy in New Haven, Ct at 87 Foxon St. They continually give her issues with her prescriptions where they won’t tell her which of her medications are filled when specifically asked. She has had so many problems, she told them she wanted her prescriptions transferred to a different location which they blatantly ignored! Then when she tried having a prescription called into the new Walgreens location she wanted to use she was never told the New Haven office had the order sitting there.

Long story short I went with my elderly mom to pick up her blood pressure medication which she hasn’t been able to take for 4 days and when she was finally told by the new pharmacy it was sitting to be picked up at the previous location. So we get all the want to the New Haven location and get in line to only be told by the general store manager pictured in this complaint that the pharmacy was closing due to sickness.

There were 5 other customers in line and when I explained how this was an emergency and my mother needed to get her blood pressure pill the general manager did NOT CARE!!!! I’m guessing his name may have been Roble by the pic I took but told him if something were to happen I would personally be holding him and Walgreens liable. He still didn’t care! He was not empathetic, nor showed any remorse to that fact that my mother could have a heart emergency without her medication.

When I saw there was 1 person behind the counter I inquired and said, "You mean knowing this medication is for a heart condition and knowing your pharmacy was neglectful in getting her prescription to her in time that you’re not willing to allow her to get her med with the other 5 customers." His answer was, “No because there could also be someone else who comes in also!” This general manager does NOT belong manager and should be fired IMMEDIATELY for risking the health and well-being of a customer on heart medications.

I was so upset when I left the store I immediately contacted the North Haven Walgreens pharmacy and spoke to the pharmacist on an urgent basis. He without hesitation transferred (all) my mom's prescription and not just the heart medication she needed. We immediately went to that pharmacy to pick it up. I will be leaving reviews and sharing this info all over social media due to the continued and constant incompetence and risk not only the New Haven pharmacy put my mother at but also the general manager of the store who did NOT care if a patient lost their life!

They will not return a product unless they get your info! They referred to their policy that is in very fine print and on the back of a receipt. So, I need to make a purchase in order to see the policy to return? She then said their policy is also on the front door. It was on the back of the door and only visible when exiting and again, after a purchase is made. Again, customer service was horribly arrogant. I went to CVS and they laughed. They accept returns without being laser-focused on getting your private information. They will not return my money.

Pharmacy hours are only open Mon through Friday 9-5pm. The pharmacy is NOT open on the weekends. How is that sufficient for a customer that works a daily job to pick their prescriptions after that time, it's not. Had to drive 30 minutes to pick up prescriptions for several months. One store lists open 24 hours online but that is not accurate with the store actual hours. Wait time in drive thru is at least 20 minutes. I'm not a complainer but this is disgusting. How about putting accurate store info online, not long wait lines and most importantly closing a pharmacy at 5pm and closing it over the weekends. What a joke.

I received an e-mail approximately 2 hours after placing my order (placed at 8:00 AM) saying my order has been delayed. I called the store for more info at 10:30AM. The manager (I guess) answered and simply said no employees showed up for work today, so the store is closed!! She could not give me any idea when I would be able to pick up my order. Fortunately, she was able to cancel my order. It is no wonder that Walgreens reviews are so poor.

I went there at 1:30pm to pick them up and was told that one was ready and that the other would not be available until after lunch. Looking at the clock to verify the time I commented that someone had called and said that they were ready for pickup. She said that they would be available after 2:30. Now 5:09 pm and still no call that they are in fact ready.

Tried submitting the online form to consumer relations and when I hit the submit button it cleared all the responses; not once but twice. Called consumer relations and got connected to someone who said his name was Louis. Could tell right from the get go that this was going to be a waste of time and it most certainly was. Absolutely awful wait times, customer queues & service. Store #04730 - Mill Creek, WA. averages 15 minutes per car in the drive-through - usually 4-5 car waiting at any given time so you do the math. The average wait time at the pharmacy counter is 45 minutes to 1 hour. Upon calling the pharmacy, I have sat on "hold" over an 1.5 hours only to have the call dropped and having to start again. It is always blamed on staffing shortages, pandemic, excessive demand - you pick the excuse. Drug inventory shortages are becoming more prevalent due to management metrics on inventory stocking levels & associated carrying costs. The result is multiple trips to obtain a complete prescription fill.

Management is aware of these issues but unable or unwilling to do anything about it as it is easier to push the inconvenience down onto the customer. Customers vote with their $'s and feet so do yourself a favor (unless you like the abuse) and DO NOT do business with this location or Walgreens as a company, they are absolutely the worst pharmacy I have ever had the misfortune to deal with!

I have used Walgreens for 20+ years. Well it was never the gold standard of customer service, recently it has reached a new and horrible low! This July I was going on a week’s vacation. I had run out of my blood pressure meds, so used the Walgreens app to renew my prescription; I checked the app and it said my prescription was ready. Off I went to pick it up, BUT, guess what? It wasn’t ready! The pharmacy assistant told me they had to put it back because the prescription was up that day, even though I had one refill. I went on vacation without the meds, meanwhile getting a new prescription called in by my doc.

When I returned, I ordered other basic scripts on the app. When the app said they were ready, I went to pick it up. NOTHING was there, the tech told me! Worst of all, he began to lecture me as if I was the idiot here. I should do automatic refills. Then I wouldn’t get so upset! I kept trying to tell him to check the spelling of my last name. He just talked over me and kept lecturing. I finally just drove home and called the manager. She said,” oh all of them are here. He must have spelled your name wrong.”(!!!!) So in two days, I double check on the app, where it says they are all ready. Off I go again, waiting for 40 minutes (again- did I mention how long you wait at the Middleton Walgreens?!) Well guess what? Two of the scripts are not there.

This time I am lectured on how I should call ahead so I won’t “get so upset” when my supposedly ready scripts aren’t ready. I want them to look at the app on my phone so they can see how the app says they are ready- again I can’t get a word in edgewise and go home. Later on, I remember I had called and talked to the manager and she said they were all ready and on the shelf! Next my daughter goes, 4 hours later. The 2 still aren’t there! They tell her it will be an hour to fill them; she says, “No, it won’t. Fill it now!” They do, but lecture her more on calling to check they are really there. I don’t think I was all that upset, btw, no screaming, threatening or personal attack. I just tried to get them to listen to me, at one point saying, ”You just won’t listen to me!” I also wrote corporate and got a “Give us another chance. We value you as a customer.” That was before the last two events! CVS anyone?

I plan on changing out of my Walgreens Rx plan as soon as it renews. Cannot wait to drop Walgreens.

When the staff came back, I tried to refill prescriptions, and it is obvious the understaffed situation makes it extremely difficult for the pharmacy personnel and customers wait in long lines due to mistakes made by the pharmacy. For me, they filled a prescription that I did not request, AND secondly, they did not fill the correct prescription when my medication changed. The day before I picked it up, the staff told me they would fill my new prescription but when I went to get it, the prescription was for the older medication.

South Lyon, MI - Fire this entire staff, horrible! They are Out of Prescriptions, always. A $Billion Dollar$ company who made their money selling drugs is out of prescriptions. Plus, a $Billion Dollar$ company who made their money selling drugs can't be bothered to hire anyone to answer their phones. I've tried for a WEEK to get a necessary monthly script from these fools. After 4 days I used their Online Chat, just as useless and immoral as the South Lyon employees. They stated Fri. it would be back in stock on "the next business day." I asked Monday? Yes, Monday. And it's Monday. Guess what, not in stock!

I tried to call this South Lyon location, I sat on hold for 20 minutes, no one answered. I did the Live Chat again, they asked ME why the pharmacy hadn't contacted other Walgreens to see if it was in stock. Do I work for Walgreens? That's YOUR job. The Live Chat lady said she was doing that, then ran into some "system error," transferred me to someone else, now the 3rd person, who couldn't be bothered to read the transcripts of the last half an hour. She told me simply to "call the store."

Unbelievable. They also lied and stated that they receive in their meds on order every 24 hours, and they couldn't see any info. about my Refill. What, do you mean the fact that I ordered the Refill, is that what you can't see? I called the South Lyon jerks again. First call, after 10 minutes, someone picked up the phone, hung it up on me. The next call, after 25 minutes of their headache-inducing message that there was 1 person in line in front of me, I finally hung up.

And this was after a year and a half of their screw-ups at this location. I agree with the other Reviewer, fire them, hire new people. The last time I used their drive-thru, I could see 7 different people in the pharmacy area, so not sure why they're not answering their phones or why they're Kmart-level picking up the phone and hanging up. Why don't they have prescriptions in? One that I buy every 30 days?

Last month, and it's the SAME every month, my doctor's office called these jerks. 3 times. To see WHERE my prescription was and WHY it wasn't being filled. Walgreens told them, "Oh it will be in tomorrow, then tomorrow, then tomorrow." After a week of that, I called. They Had My Medication In Stock, They Never Bothered to Tell Me, They Had No Notes I Was Waiting for This Prescription. What? It was simply sitting on the shelf. No one contacted me. A year and a half ago, I mistakenly transferred all of my prescriptions via their website from Rite-Aid to Walgreens since I moved from another area.

This was all thru their computer system. I go to check, first they were in limbo. Next, they deleted FIVE of my prescriptions, no lie, they were gone. Finally they could see them, after much going back and forth, getting corporate involved. How does the computer loose your transfers? Walgreens answer to all this? "Well just make a dr. appointment and get new copies of your prescriptions, then bring them in to Walgreens." They also told me that they had called my doctor's office and that they said they had, "never heard of me," and that I was "not a patient there."

At a doctor's office I'd been going to for 7 years? I don't think so. Turned out, they were contacting the WRONG PROVIDER! Wrong company name, wrong doctor name, wrong phone #, wrong fax #, wrong address, which was all correctly supplied to Walgreens. Gee, no wonder they'd never heard of me. You can't get any dumber than these people. You really can't. A $billion dollar$ company who doesn't care about their customers, making sure you're safe, have the meds you need, they just don't care. And sadly, they were allowed to also buy-up half the Rite-Aid's too, so now it's double incompetence. I am going to look to the grocery stores or a pro home delivery, Walgreens is garbage, South Lyon Walgreens is absolutely unprofessional trash.

I was diagnosed with shingles and was prescribed 2 medicines. With my usual pharmacy being closed already & Walgreens being half a mile away I asked that it be sent there. Upon arrival, one pharmacist said they were already working on it & asked for my insurance card. She comes back several minutes later and tells me I have the wrong card - I need to give her my prescription card. I've been with Cigna for over 20 years- never had one of those & my other pharmacy had just filled a prescription using that same card a few months back. I take the card and show her where it says "prescriptions - yes RXBIN# **." The other pharmacist comes over and says that's not the right # they need to bill insurance. So she proceeds to tell me I can't get my medication unless I can get a prescription card.

I ask her to write down exactly what #'s she needs. This is on a Saturday at 4 PM I am in immense pain and being told to start eye drops asap to prevent permanent damage. I drive home extremely frustrated & pull up my insurance plan on their website to see if I can print a prescription card. Well - it doesn't exist because the 4 #'s the pharmacist wanted were all on my original insurance card that I had given them and pointed out to them. So I drive back now with my husband because the pain is too intense for me to drive. I had filled in the #'s she wanted on a separate piece of paper but pointed out they were all on the insurance card. She turns the card over and starts explaining to me that they are not on the card. I point out yes they are - they are on the front. She then says that's not where they usually are and that the other pharmacist missed it.

Well I had literally pointed it out to both of them just 20 minutes earlier but ok fine. She then proceeds to tell me that they close at 6 PM so no guarantee I will get the medicine that day. It is now 4:30 PM and I then proceed to tell her she was supposedly already working on my order when I got there previously at 4 so I will go ahead & wait. I hear her explain to 6 other people that they will be closing at 6 & she is very busy, and helping people in the drive-thru as well, etc., etc. Well the whole time I'm there not one drive-thru customer and she spend more time going on & on about how busy she is and how she is leaving at 6 that she could have done at least 2 prescriptions in that time.

So now it's almost 5 PM and she tells me she doesn't have the eye drops. I ask her to check other Walgreens only to be told, "if I don't have it here the other Walgreens probably don't either." So I ask if I found it could she transfer it to another pharmacy and she says yes, "but it's a whole process and I'm leaving at 6." So I start calling around to other pharmacies. In the meantime, my other prescription is ready & is handed to me by the Walgreens store manager who is now helping. No double-checking medication, name, consultation etc. I ask if it's safe to take with other medications I'm on & the pharmacist looks at me and says, "ummmm yes" without even looking up at me. Now I wasn't that concerned because the Dr. knew what I was taking but always like to get a second opinion but I don't have any confidence she even really heard me. Now the fun begins!

I found the eye drops and that pharmacy who did check within a 30 mile radius of me requested a transfer while I was on the phone with them. I waited 2 hours & called & they didn't receive the transfer so I called Walgreens back. They said they never received the request. I asked for the phone & fax # that they would like it sent to. Call the other pharmacy back they request it again - this went on for 8 HOURS! I finally called an hour before closing. I decided I would just ask, "how quick can you transfer a prescription to another pharmacy?" and was told, "it takes just a few minutes no problem!" So I then say it's been requested multiple times that day & they still haven't received it. She looks up my name and says I don't have any open prescriptions and no refills available and that's why it's not getting transferred.

I kindly explain to her that is not in fact the case. Then she proceeds to tell me there was an "incident" with the pharmacy tech and some things were impacted by that and that she's working on overtime but can see if she can help get it done. The other pharmacy calls them back and they finally get them on the phone and have it filled for me within 15 minutes. BTW I look at the bottle & it tells me there are 4 refills available. When I arrive to pick it up the pharmacist then tells me she just received the fax - 4 times.

Also, they had no problem finding all my insurance info on the card to bill my insurance. So basically if Walgreens worked more efficiently they wouldn't have had to deal with all my phone calls, the calls from the other pharmacy, and send a fax multiple times. I understand being short-staffed, but do your job and stop complaining about it to the customers and spending so much time telling people what time you close! I feel like this is a disaster waiting to happen, under-staffed, lack of caring or any attention to detail, and someone coming off the store floor to hand out medication with no consultation.

I asked if the manufacturer would stand behind their products. She replied that I could try by calling them. I asked for the manufacturer's phone number. She said it was on my package insert. (It’s not there). I went back asking for manufacturer's (Mylan) phone number and she gave me a number to call. I called that number and it was for financial services!!! I go back for a THIRD time and after a LOT of searching she found the elusive number for Mylan. I’ve left a message with Mylan so we’ll see what happens with that.

Seems kind of odd to me that when a product that Walgreens sells and is defective it is left up to me to work it out. What do I need Walgreens for? These patches are not cheap and are NOT covered by my insurance. I have 1 box that has not even been opened. Can’t get a refund or replacement for any of the 3 boxes. I called Walgreens corporate office and explained what happened.. They replied “So you’d like to make a complaint?” I give up. Moral to this story if you choose to use Walgreens do so at your own risk. They do NOT stand behind their products and their customer service is non-existent. What else can be said?

I went to Medicap Pharmacy for 20 years, got the same pain meds from the same Dr and the same amount each month. I am on palliative care, Medicap sold their prescriptions to Walgreens without telling anyone not even me. Walgreens bought these prescriptions knowing that 80% of Medicap's patients went to a pain clinic in Frederick Maryland. Walgreens knew that they would not accept the patients' prescriptions from that particular pain clinic before they even bought the prescriptions for Medicap.

I was told when I called Medicap that my prescriptions were sent over to Walgreens. As I went to Walgreens to pick up my prescriptions I was so embarrassed by the pharmacist over my pain medication over them telling me that they would not fill this amount, they don't care how sick I am, to find another doctor in my own area. My doctor's office is only 35 mi from where I live, there is no good pain doctors in Berkeley county, if there was I wouldn't be going where I'm going. Needless to say that Walgreens pharmacist had me in tears that day. Someone needs to stop these pharmacies for hurting sick people, it's not right.

Who closes a pharmacy as early as 6 PM anyway?? This is inconvenient at best and totally irresponsible of a company that is relied on for life saving medication to 1) not have accurate hours posted online and 2) not have more flexible hours than closing at 6pm. Since when do pharmacies have bankers hours???? Completely unacceptable.

For the last month and a half we have had problems getting our prescriptions filled at the Walgreens on the corner of Highway 18 and Navajo Road in Apple Valley California. Last year we switched to this pharmacy because we moved and it was the closest to our house. It had not been a big issue until recently. I am not sure what is going on but they have become impossible to deal with. Several times they closed the pharmacy without notice, stating an emercency. How many emergencies are they having. My doctor and my husband's doctor called in our prescriptions and they claim they did not get them. So we called the doctors and they called them in again. Still Walgreens claims they did not get them. My doctor said that was ridiculous and called mine to a locally owned pharmacy and my medicine was ready in 30 minutes.

Walgreens said they would have to send in a request to my husband's doctor and they would fill the meds as soon as they heard back from him, even though the doctor insists he already requested they be filled. The next day I got an automated call from Walgreens saying 2 of the prescriptions had been filled and were ready to be picked up. The third was still waiting for the doctor. So, I went to Walgreens and waited another 45 minutes just to be told there were no meds ready for my husband and they would have to contact the doctor again. Then I showed them a bottle that said there was 1 refill available on one of the meds, and asked if they could at least get that one done right away. I was assured the one would be done later that day and they would call me. They did not, of course.

The next morning I got a call that said it was ready. Before I could get to the store to pick it up I got another automated call that stated there was a hold on my husband's meds and they would not be ready until some time next week. As soon as I could I drove down to the Walgreens and there was a sign on the door telling customers the pharmacy was closed (again) due to yet another emergency. Do they realize they are a pharmacy. They are there to fill the prescriptions that doctors prescribe to patients.

These prescriptions are for medications people need. It is not a luxury, it is a necessity. Now they have caused a huge issue with my husband's insurance because according to them the meds were already filled. My husband could end up hospitalized or worse and I might not be able to get him his meds for another month because of Walgreens ineptness. They are the ones that messed up the insurance charges. This is completely unacceptable and I strongly advise people to stay away from this Walgreens location.

The Walgreens pharmacy located at FM1488 and FM2978 in Magnolia, TX has the worst customer service and employee attitude I have ever seen (in my opinion). I trade at the HEB pharmacy about a mile away, and very pleased with their performance, attitude and advice. However, my wife has been trading with Walgreens's for years. So I recently went to pick up a script for her which had been phoned in by her doctor about 4 hours earlier. So after waiting for the pharmacy to re-open after it closed for a "lunch break" (yes, really) at 1:30pm the employees finally reappeared - all seemingly in a bad mood. Not sure why, but it was clear they did not want to be there and go through the motions. Some were downright rude to their customers. In the meantime there are about 6-7 people waiting in line inside and about 12 cars in line outside. Of course their convenience store operation was open for everything from cosmetics to candy.

In fairness, I suppose due to state, federal and corporate regulations the pharmaceuticals area must be closed and locked if no licensed pharmacist is present - makes sense. However the nearby HEB, Kroger, Wal-Mart and CVS pharmacies do not close during the day (ever). Maybe they have enough business to keep 2 licensed individuals on staff. I questioned the store manager who, of course, deferred the situation to corporate. Other customers waiting in line voiced the same concerns even though they had known about the closure policy for some time.

Bottom-line - it seems completely absurd that a national pharmacy chain would close it "primary" business department in the middle of the day (everyday). And oh, BTW, my wife had to wait 45 minutes for a flu shot after being told initially it would only be a few minutes. They later apologized and admitted they forgot she was waiting. It seems the company and its employees have not fully engaged with the role of customers in the company's success. Having read many very negative reviews about Walgreen's service prior to writing this one it's pretty obvious management has taken its eye off the ball. Oh well, best of luck Walgreen's. We are now in the process of moving her business to HEB.

I don’t take time out to post reviews, I’m a firm believer in if you don’t like the business or establishment just don’t return. However for this unjust experience, I had to make an exception. I went through the drive thru to have 2 prescriptions filled. I noticed they took a little longer than usual to come to the windows with my medicine. ** which I was told is the pharmaceutical manager appeared at the window & asked if the copy I had was the only copy. I responded with yes. His was response was “Since the prescription was not written in the immediate area, we can’t fill it”. I asked if he needed verification from the doctor, and ** response was “No mam, we don’t. We just can’t fill it.”

I drove off and said to myself, well maybe he didn’t understand my situation so let me go inside to have a conversation. When I went inside I explained to him that I got into a car accident in Atlanta & I reside in Augusta. His response was “I can fill the **, but not the one containing **, because it's a little controlled substance (**) & I don’t feel comfortable”. I questioned but I didn’t argue because I really needed the medicine due to my condition. I asked him a question to see what kind of response I would get, and asked “is there a policy saying you don’t have to fill the prescription?” He said there was. Then I asked if he could show me, he told me he couldn’t. Mind you the law that was passed in 2001 is public information.

10 mins passed as I was waiting on my **, he then placed the prescription on the counter saying “he can’t fill the prescription for either.” I asked for a valid/ moral reason and his response was “It’s just best”. When I pulled my phone to record for my own personal record I asked again for a valid reason and his response was “mam, I can’t give you another reason other than the 1, I just gave a few minutes ago”. Both prescriptions were written from the same doctor, both were on the same kind of paper, and both prescriptions applied to applicable state laws. He agreed to do 1, then made a decision to not do the ** either. When I asked for a moral reason, he could not provide it and told me “The only thing I can say is, I apologize for any inconvenience and we are not able to fill your prescription”. Then he mentioned he did not give me consent to record him, that’s when I knew he was either not knowledgeable of pharmaceutical laws and state laws or he assumed I wasn’t knowledgeable.

After ** laughed in my face and didn’t want to give me a moral reason for denying to fill the prescription after agreeing he would, he told me to leave. So I ended up calling law enforcement to have a civil conversation. Due to the police officer not being familiar with Code 480-5-03, he asked ** if he could just fill the **. His response to the police officer was “I just would rather not”. Since the officer was not familiar with the law, he did his part & provided a solution for me to go to another pharmacy. I left and went to CVS down the street, and both prescriptions were filled after the manager simply made a phone call to verify.

Since I was forced by my medical plan to go solely to this place I've been dreaming about going to another pharmacy. I haven't been to a pharmacy that hasn't run circles around this pharmacy. Their professionalism, efficiency, accuracy, sworn to serve, and duties are far the standards required at a pharmacy. They also feel your prescriptions shouldn't be filled when their counterpart prescription insurance says they won't pay. I've never seen a doctor's prescription that says only fill the prescription if the insurance pays. Rather this needs filled and see if the customer wants it. These people were hired to follow directives and we don't need their personal judgments when dealing with our health. Again it's great to be getting away from these so-called health providers. I hope their repeated actions don't affect others' safety but can't see it otherwise.

She continues to tell me it's not her problem and she can't do anything about it. Basic counting tells you if you have a 15 day supply of a medication Nov-2-Nov 16 is 15 days. However her excuse not to fill my medication is "not her problem" and she can't count the day I picked it up EVEN though I TAKE THE MEDICATION AT NIGHT! Incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. There was complete confusion as to a check in process to follow, with no one offering instructions. When I inquired, I was told to wait in a "line" which turned out to be a mixture of people for prescription pickups and Covid shot appointments. I later deduced that there was a separate check in window for Covid shot appointments and there should have been a separate line for Covid appointments, but no one was told this. When I was finally able to submit my forms to a pharmacy worker, I was told to wait for follow up. After 20 more minutes I was given some paper work to hold on to and told to wait for a call for the shot. 45 minutes later I got the call and a booster shot that took about 30 seconds to administer. I encountered over an hour wait for a 30 second shot.

Only two people were ahead of me. No explanations were given when I asked why there was such a long delay. The person giving the shots must have simply stopped working, or left for almost an hour. This was absurd given that I scheduled the appointment a week ahead, arrived very early and that the actual action took less than a minute to complete. The few people ahead of me also only would only have needed 30 seconds to be given the shot. When I got the first two vaccination shots (at a different facility) everything followed the pre scheduled time without any delay and significantly more people were being treated. The Walgreens staff are incompetent by comparison. I will avoid this store in the future.

I've used their text message system for refills and requests to contact my Dr, and I've also used the link they send to my email. The text message system never seems to work. Then my refill request sits, unfilled, and requests for more refills from my doctor go unnoticed- often for days, until I call to see if it's ready yet, which it generally is not.

Then my other problem happens (when it is that much closer to when I need my medicine), more often than not, when the refill request does go through, it is out of stock. I've asked about why they never have it in stock, especially considering I fill it every month & so you'd think they'd order enough for the clients who need it every month, but the only reasons I've been given have been that it's a brand name & that they fill a lot of prescriptions.

Both of these problems have caused me to come close to running out of medicine. I don't like the "McPharmacy" feeling at Walgreens, and little amount of care that is given to each patient. As soon as I can get my prescription filled elsewhere, I am going to switch from Walgreens immediately. I miss having a pharmacist who doesn't see me as just another number.

Evening of 9/14/2021, submitted an ER doctor’s prescriptions for a narcotic pain killer and anti-nausea medicine to Walgreens pharmacy. Walgreens is the “preferred” pharmacy under our AARP United Healthcare Medicare plan. I was told to come back in one hour. Returned after one hour. Was given anti-nausea med but told they could not fill narcotic. Questioned clerk and was told they did have “some”, but not all of the pills ordered. Walgreens Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacist on duty in Monroeville, did “unjustifiably” and in violation of good pharmacy practices (confirmed, as I understood it, in later conversations with her Store Manager and District Manager) refused to partially fill the narcotic pain killer prescription “just” prescribed my wife by an ER doctor for a humerus bone with two (2) fractures (i.e., breaks). (Note: In the end, it turned out that Walgreens had 15 of the 20 pills prescribed.)

I was informed that I could go back to ER and have prescription rewritten for number of pills they had, a number the pharmacist refused to tell me -or- I was simply left the option to go somewhere else. Being a camper in the area for the first time, as far as I was aware, there were only two other pharmacies in Monroeville. One independent, that I had seen was closed when passing by it and a Walmart. Tried Walmart. Walmart’s product was out of date and therefore could not be dispensed. Went back to ER and doctor called Walgreens to get pill count and wrote new prescription. Returned to Walgreens. Submitted new prescription. Was told by Pharmacist that she would not fill prescription until next day (reasons: basically, understaffed and too busy), therefore was forced to leave Walgreens for the third time without the pain killer.

At that point in time, approximately four plus (4+) hours after my wife had been discharged from the ER and sitting in our car the whole time, unless the pharmacist was detached from reality, she had to (in my opinion) been fully cognizant of the fact that she was “possibly”, if not probably, sentencing my wife to a night of agony. Based on all of my subsequent web searches and telephone conversations with Walgreens management, this Pharmacist violated pharmacy procedures/practices, elements of Pharmacist’s oaths I was able to identify, and (in my opinion) the most rudimentary elements of human compassion and simple good manners. I have filed complaints with Walgreens corporate, the District Manager, the Store Manager, and Alabama’s Board of Pharmacy (Case #**). My Albop complaint goes into much more detail and I assume is, or will become, public record. Worst experience with a pharmacist in my 68+ years!!!!

They took the prescriptions but wouldn't fill them because it was too close to closing time. That was irritating but even though the Dr had stated he needed to start these as soon as possible we hoped the 12 hour delay wouldn't be a problem.

The next morning I showed up at 9 am, the first customer in the drive up line and was told after some language communication issues that it would be 10 minutes. I came inside to use the restroom while waiting and was treated very rudely by a store employee but ignored it. Went back to the pharmacy and was told that they hadn't even started to process my grandson's medications and it would be 20 minutes more. Went outside to do some work from my phone, came back in and was told it would be another 20 minutes. Almost an hour now.

I watched the pharmacy staff standing around chatting with each other doing nothing to get orders filled. Watched the pharmacist talking on the phone. I finally lost my cool when, after another 20 minutes, the order still wasn't filled. I made some comments on how rude and inefficient this staff at this store was. After a wait of an hour and a half+ I finally got my grandson's medications, but I had to be rude to make that happen.

Every person on the pharmacy staff, including the pharmacist should be fired. Not one of them did a single thing to expedite the process of preparing this prescription and were rude when they were called out on it. Either they don't have any idea how to work efficiently or how to speak to customers even if there had been a legitimate reason for the delay or they chose not to. I personally felt they used it as an opportunity to be rude to an old man. Needless to say no one in my family will be going to any Walgreens for any reason ever again. Too many other options and though this store is conveniently located it didn't turn out to very quick. It is not worth the wasted time and being treated poorly.

After 3 days of back and forth phone calls between Walgreens, my doctor and my insurance company they would not fill my prescription. Remera said I was disrespectful, because I questioned why a pharmacy can override a doctor's prescription. Then I called corporate to complain. 30 minutes of holding, and still holding. Stay away from Walgreens San Fernando store.

I just had to switch to another pharmacy because my prescription wasn't ready after I was told earlier that it was. When I asked when it would be ready I was told that they won't have until Sept 30 2021. That's 2 months away! I'm not supposed to go 1 week without them let alone 2 months. I find this unacceptable and it shows that the well being of monthly customers aren't being taken care of. Use at your own risk.

The Walgreens brand bandaid has not enough adhesive. Needs to be replaced too often. Poor quality control manufacturing. This product is cheaper than top brands but their short life use, requires more than twice of bandaids to its purpose. On the long run I’m paying much more than other brands.

The pharmacy located at Lake Dow and Highway 81 in McDonough Ga is horrible. Not because of pharmacy employees but because of lack of training or lack of caring by pharmacy custodians and outdated equipment that is necessary to perform their jobs!!. I have many different insurances including TriCare which they have a total lack of knowledge on how to coordinate benefits. Having outdated equipment seems to be one of the main roadblocks, proper lack of training seems to be another. Looks like upper management oversight does not exist. In my opinion this pharmacy is there as a profit center and nothing more. I will never do business there again.

The wait in line is always 10 minutes, and often 20. There's a line for pick-up, A line for Covid shot registration, and a line to get into one of the shot booths. The waiting area, and restroom are only accessible if you cross through ALL of these three lines. The staff is doing its best, but they are always backed up. A drive-through is advertised, but it's a spot in the parking lot, and they bring it out to you, IF you call them directly and get through the menu for a "drive thru". I have stopped using them, too risky!

Re:4445 US Highway 98 N, Lakeland, FL 33809. STAY AWAY if you are DISABLED!!!! I called to check on the status of a refill that I had submitted a few days ago. I spoke to Vesai **, a Pharmacy floater. That is the name I was given. I explained to her that I have epilepsy. You would think someone working in the pharmacy would be trained regarding disabilities. Many epileptics, like me, cannot drive. After 3 minutes, she told me that she WOULD NOT WASTE any more time on the phone with me and DEMANDED that I go in to talk to someone. Hello??.. I CANNOT DRIVE. This is not something to DEMAND of a DISABLED person because you JUST DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING YOUR JOB!!!!

She spent 3 minutes talking to me, most of which was hard to understand through her very thick accent. The rest of the time was me being placed on hold. I told her I was never called about the refill that was requested or about any issue with it. She stated there was a mistake on my prescription and my insurance would not pay. I asked if I could pay and if I could set everything up with her because I need my medication today (the whole reason I submitted my refill request early). This is the point where she tells me that she CANNOT WASTE any more time on the phone with me. As she was trying to hang up the phone on me, I stopped her and told her that I needed my medication desperately. This is not something you do to a DISABLED person who CANNOT drive and is out of the only medication keeping you from seizing.

NEVER doing business here again. I called a different pharmacy and the pharmacist there explained to me that it is an easy fix and would not require me to drive anywhere. They would take care of everything for me UNLIKE Walgreens. Apparently, Walgreens has been sued many times for discrimination. If I had known this I would not have taken my prescriptions there. They need to better train their pharmacy staff.

First off I am disabled. Life threatening seizures. Not always can I drive or have someone pick up my prescription for me. I attempt to have all on a constant basis.

*All of the staff that I had an excellent relationship with, with the exception of 1 have left. Only Tammy is left. She is a good person. The pharmacist that caught a life threatening problem with a medication is no longer there. He left almost immediately. Cannot find a hero in my life.
*I constantly get texts telling me to come get my Rx, or that I will have to reorder it. That I can have it on auto order or have delivery but not both. I have several times been unable to drive and get them, or find someone to pick them up.
*My orders are constantly short. These are Neuro drugs to help prevent seizures. I have life threatening seizures.

*A new staff member "A" has a nasty attitude and argued with me about my Rx's. I have no trust in her. Dislike talking to her. Rather have the flu.

I have reported all occurances to my insurance, and doctors...they have encouraged me to find another pharmacy.

This is the second time the Sioux City pharmacy screwed up my drugs, this year. The prescription dosage amount was changed by our doctor several months ago. So I have received the correct prescription at least once. Today I picked up the prescription and it is the incorrect dosage. My point is that the pharmacist are not monitoring the drugs they dispense. I see no reason to trust Walgreens.

Visited a local Walgreens in-pharmacy clinic seeking Urgent Care. The Walgreens website still shows that their clinics offer Urgent Care. (See: https://www.walgreens.com/pharmacy/healthcare-clinic/locations.jsp) When I went to the pharmacy to sign in for an appointment, I was informed that the clinic was closed except for vaccinations and that Walgreens had sold the clinic to a local hospital group. When I mentioned that there was no update on the Walgreens website, the technician apologized profusely, saying that they have been begging and begging for a change to that, but it sounds like their requests have been falling on deaf ears -- either at Walgreens or at the local hospital group.

I called the 800 customer service number for Walgreens to report the inaccurate information on the website. While waiting to speak with a representative, there was a recording that said that all Walgreens Clinics are now CLOSED. So why still promote the clinics on the Walgreens Website? Why still have the signage on the Walgreens buildings? It also sounds like the clinics have been closed for several months--clearly enough time to make corrections to the website and in-store signage! But NO... They probably want to drive business into the store. Well, hello, Walgreens! Think again. I did not make any purchases after being turned away!

I go back to Walgreens to exchange them only to find out that ALL of them were expired also. 2 trips to Walgreens, no allergy eye drops and miso much as "I'm sorry" from the store manager.

Walgreens required I drive over an hour for a COVID-19 test, which they apparently lost. They have no number to call for results-- they refer you to their customer service partner, whose call center reps and supervisors only insult you when you call-- claiming they are only accountable to their "client"-- and that's not you! It's Walgreens. Over ten days now and no test results-- Walgreens claims 24 hour turnaround time-- their partner says that is not true. Certainly, this test to nowhere shows there's a huge problem with Walgreen's testing. (P.S. Their partner records the calls-- so it should be easy for Walgreens -- the CLIENT-- to follow up and address this problem.) Given COVID-19 mortality in the USA, I sure hope Walgreens takes this seriously.

Local Pharmacy with delays in filling prescriptions have occurred in the past. Now it’s an all time high. When, I ask why they respond it’s due to COVID. When asked pretty much any question they give the COVID response. How such a disaster of a company was given the vaccine to distribute is beyond justification.
