Store 13080, 3081 S. Range in Denham Springs, Louisiana. I shopped Walgreens frequently and always noticed extremely long check out lines and few employees on the floor. When I worked there, I discovered why there is such poor customer service. The managers are all sitting in the managers office. I worked 9 hour shifts, with supposedly a 30 minute lunch and 2-15 minute breaks. I was stationed at the front register and was never allowed to take my breaks because management would not provide anyone to relieve me and they would never leave their office.

After 1 month of working under these conditions, I finally walked away when I desperately needed a restroom break at the 2 hour mark and the manager denied my request to leave the register for 2 hours. After being on the register for 4 hours without a break, I finally walked away. When I passed the manager on my way to the restroom, I stated that she needed to get someone on the register. I tried my hardest to work, and would voluntarily skip my breaks because the holiday traffic was very high. But 75% of the customers complained about only 1 register being open all the time, not just during the busy holiday season.

A very big issue is the Customer Surveys. I was instructed to selectively point out the Customer Survey forms on the back of each receipt. The managers knew of the extremely poor customer service and instructed me to only point out the survey if I had a very happy customer who would guarantee a positive feedback. They proudly stated that they had a 89% positive rating.

When the look of surprise came to my face after hearing of the high rating, she laughed and stated, "Yes, I know that is crazy, which shows you to select customers for the survey very carefully. Don't let most of customers know about the survey. Fold the receipt so they don't see that information." I have repeatedly denied to my friends and family that I would write a message to the District Manager of Store #13080 on S. Range in Denham Springs, Louisiana. My friends and family have wanted me to let upper Management understand how this store is giving Walgreens a very bad name and reputation.

Walgreens makes huge dangerous mistakes and is never held accountable for them. One is when they accidentally gave my husband someone else's medication that ended up being a heart medication. The only reason he knew is he noticed the amount of pills was wrong. It was not until I looked at it that I noticed it was not his prescription at all. Luckily he had not taken one yet. Also Walgreens does not hire enough help. You can sit sometimes for 40 min in the drive thru until your car nearly overheats. They occasionally will jip me on a pill or will have only a broken half.

I noticed that some pharmacists at Walgreens are better than others. Their automated phone system is for the birds. It will leave me inaccurate messages. It's to the point I never trust it anymore. I just got a call from their automated system that said my prescription is not ready, they are contacting the insurance. Interesting since I just picked it up 5 minutes ago. I also got a second batch of my ** that I just picked up 2 days ago and they just gave me another brand new bottle. These are just a few of many many mistakes that are made on a monthly basis. I go to Walgreens pharmacy because it is so close to my house and is cheaper with their club card.

I was accused of shop lifting and I was put in a chokehold for no reason by a male employee. No man should have to put his hands on a woman. I know cameras are in the store. I want to prove I did nothing wrong. He also said I go in the store and do it all the time which is a lie. I had injuries to my neck which I had to go to the emergency room.

I went to Walgreen's off Freedom Drive in Charlotte, NC to pick up my prescription. The pharmacist at the drive-thru window asked for my name, DOB, and address. I verified all my information. Paid for the prescription and I drove off. As I was driving, I noticed that my prescription felt different, so I opened it and looked at it. To my surprise, it was not prescription. This person had my same last name, but the other information was totally different.

I circled around back to the drive-thru window and advised the pharmacist that she gave me the wrong prescription. She was apologetic for the ordeal. I was confused, because I verified everything and she still gave me someone else prescription. I asked to speak to the manager, Mr. ** came to the window. Mr. ** was apologizing and giving me an excuse for the mix-up. I advise him that I verified all my information, and it was not the same on the information leaflet. I asked Mr. ** how do they suppose to safeguard their customers?

I told Mr. ** that this is a violation of the hippo law. I told Mr. ** I wanted to bring this to his attention. I feel like this mistake could of have been my information in someone's else hands. This is unacceptable and negligence on the incompetent of their staff. I will have my medications switched over to another pharmacy, because I do not feel safe.

Evergreen Way Store, Walgreens. Sent my husband in to pick up syringes after work. He was basically ignored. He was told we needed a prescription. So he asked if they would call our vet at Pilchuck animal hospital. They refused. We were out of syringes. I thought we had another box but as it turned out we didn't. I drive in to talk to them and I think I took our old box, maybe the container of insulin. They apologized and gave us a whole box of syringes. Said next time all we needed was the plastic bag syringes come in. The Walgreens closer to us, I decided to call on Mukilteo Speedway heard my experience. The woman said she'd order the syringes and all we needed to do was bring the bag in. So this time, my husband went there with the bag and was refused. He asked them to call Pilchuck vet. He was refused. He said he asked 4 times.

So I called. The woman, store manager said they offered to call the vet. He said she was blatantly lying. So I called Evergreen store and they said the pharmacist head on duty decides. And to bring the prescription in. Remember, before they said just bring the bag in. That's fine, all we need is consistency and to know what they want but obviously they're too busy to hardly look you in the eyes, let alone tell you consistently their requirements. I'm done with Walgreens. I can see why their rating is so low. I don't recommend Walgreens and am even moving our prescriptions for this reason. Ok, I'm Mobile and hope this reads ok. Thanks for opportunity to review. Didn't purchase.

03/021/2015, my wife went to store #12126 in Machesney Park, IL. to get just 10 capsules of Gabapentin, 300 mg out of the 90 on open prescription but told them not to count this against the 90 on the prescription as I would only need ten until 03/24/2015. They agreed and sold her 10 for $16.00. That left 80. I saw my doctor for my severe lower back problem on 03/24 and he agreed that only the Gabapentin would work at this time @ 5 capsules /day. I called Walgreens store 12126 and spoke with the Pharmacist about the 80 left and she instantly and flatly said I couldn't get them. I told her the situation and to call the Doctor's office which she refused to do and I know in such short time she could not possibly have checked the computer. Besides she didn't ask my DOB.

Yesterday evening my wife stopped there with the current empty bottle and she said "no problem, we'll have it ready tomorrow." Today, 03/25/2015, I stopped to pick up the 80 and the pharmacy people handed me a bottle of 150 capsules for $10.00. I have called the Complaint Dept. @ Walgreens and placed a complaint for total ignorance, idiocy, stupidity, and the lousiest customer service I have ever had. They said I will be called by someone higher up within two days. I think it's time to switch to CVS as all local pharmacies in this area have been squeezed out. I might even go to Walmart!. Walgreens is disgusting, doesn't care, and can't even get their story straight.

Have been trying to return the package but they say it will take up to 21 days to get the return form. When I told them I'm a victim of credit card fraud, drugstore.com told me I shouldn't worry about because I was not the one who was charged for the item. This is part of a larger scam. No wonder why credit card fraud is so hard to stop...the stores protect the thieves, so they can keep their sale - in hopes that the credit card company will eat the cost.

One afternoon I stopped in Walgreens after work to buy a book bag. I asked a employee in the cosmetic department if the store carried the bags. She replied, "No, but you must check in the your bag you are carrying at the front counter." I asked why? She stated that people come in the store stealing. I told her that I wasn't stealing and that a sign should be posted at the front door informing customers of bag checks. The Walgreen employee told me that I must leave my bag at the counter if I wanted to shop there. I left the store angry feeling stereotyped and discriminated against. I called the store manager and informed her of the incident I had. I was told that bag checks was not store policy and the employee normally don't act that way and she would talk to her and report the complaint to her supervisor.

Ive been on the same Rx since 10/2008. Due to my husband's employment we travel the west coast most of the year and I transfer my prescriptions as well as keep in close contact with my doctor. I've never had any problems with my prescription other than insurance wise until now. I had my dr call it in to the Walgreens at 111 W Washington, Escondido, CA 92025. I informed them that I only pick up 30 at a time because I pay cash for them right now. She says,"Ok we will order them and you can pick them up tomorrow." The next time I go to pick up the second set of 30 I'm told they've got to order them and I can pick them up a day later again. 3rd set of 30 rolls around and it's the same story. I asked the Pharm why they've got to order 30 of my Rx each time when the prescription says 90. Why not order all 90 at once? She tells me their "strictly regulated" and can only order the prescription worth at a time. Ok the whole prescription is 90, order them...

It's week 5 now, my dr has called in a new Rx, in all the chaos they "lost" my refills, He called it in 2 days early so that they could order it. I call to check on it and now the story is they won't release the prescription until tomorrow as it's a day early. I picked the first one up on 2/21/2015, today is 3/24/2015. I have two days of them left in my bottle and it was called in 31 days ago. How is the prescription EARLY? I know when I go in they won't have it because they have to order it. I will not be doing business with Walgreens if they allow the pharmacy to create and carry out their own regulations of our meds despite the doctor's orders considering they themselves don't have PHD's. My dr recommended I file a complaint with the California Pharmacy Board and I'm waiting to pick up my Rx tomorrow to finish it and mail it off.

Hello. I have worked near this Walgreens 6360 E Evans Ave Denver, CO 80222 for 3 years now and I have given them enough chances to amend their bad staff or bad attitude. The young man that works in the pharmacy not only is unfriendly but in 2014 July, when there was an insurance mix up, he told me he would call my insurance to figure this out, and for an entire week, I called to check and he told me he is working on it. I finally showed up on Friday because I didn't want to wait for his "call back," it turns out he has done nothing and had to wait 45 mins for my medicines while he called the insurance. Then, he again made a mistake in the quantity and he made me wait another 45 mins to fix it. Then, he advised me that this was very inconvenient for him and for me to at least complete the survey. Then, I promised him that I will never return here.

I had to run there 9 months later for 3 items that I was looking for specifically for a friend. I think he recognized me and straight out told me he has no idea of this medication when Walgreens carries it. He is not the only rude person in this pharmacy, except the front desk lady, everyone is unhelpful there. When I wanted to go back to the dental section to see if I can find those items without the pharmacist help that I didn't see before, the girl that was restocking the dental section closed the isle down and told me, "this isle is closed" and I cannot enter to check again. I go to other Walgreens locations and everything is fine. It's this one in particular that I cannot seem to ever get anything done in. Thank you.

Walgreens pharmacy is making me to feel as though I am a drug addict seeking drugs. I hate that my body has to be rattled with pain constantly, and I don't take the meds as prescribed. When I drop off my prescription sometimes I'm unable to pick it up for several days. Would a drug addict do this, of course they wouldn't. They have flagged my chart so it doesn't matter which one I go to I get the same treatment. They contact the DEA to see when my last Rx was filled. I hate Walgreens. Been going to Walgreens Pharmacy in Orlando Fl on Michigan St, for over 5 years - (switched back from CVS) with the same meds and same qty. Brought my scrips in on Friday 13th cause that was the day of my appt. - last month's scripts were filled on the 13th also but Feb caused some confusion which I do understand -- no problem. My problem is with a single staff member. When my wife went to get my meds when they said they would be ready, they weren't. Had to take time from her work to get them for me as I was not able to get to the store. Upon getting there she (wife) said that they should have been ready, that's when its issue comes in.

The tech that was assisting my wife when the person I had a conversation with on the Friday before came to him and was telling him that I was upset, this is that guy that was being a PAIN when I couldn't fill cause it was to early. (filled last month on the 13 the day I brought them in this mo. was the 13th but February messed it up -- understandable) which was totally untrue!!!! She said this loud enough that my wife heard it and was very offended by her comments. When she got home she asked me to describe the lady that I had talked with on the Friday I tried to bring them in, upon doing so she said that the same lady was talking bad about me to the other pharmacist.

I was very courteous, and very monotone, nothing I thought as offensive/defensive -- Which I wasn't either. I called Corporate to complain and was treated very professionally! and said I would get a call in a couple days -- well I got the call from the Walgreens Pharms manager ** in less than an hour!!!! nice to see there on the ball! ** was very supportive and professional about the situation and said he was going to take care of it and asked if he could anything else for me. I said no as I just wanted to bring it to the attention of someone that would care.

I am writing this so that maybe others that get this kind of behavior, might have the same xp with the store manager. I will be going back next month, so we'll see if there is a prob filling them again, or if My Complaint to corp is going to get me blackballed from filling there. All in all I don't really have a major problem with Walgreens. I just didn't like someone employed there that was having a bad day saying untruths loud enough so other people could hear -- just so happend the one that heard it was MY WIFE. there is such a thing called HIPPA.

I have been on long term chronic pain medication since 1998. I go to my doctor once a month and get a prescription each month to take to the pharmacy, I sometimes have trouble finding my prescription but usually Walgreens has it, even though most of the pharmacists treat me like a drug addict. I get exactly 30 days worth of meds each month and I never run out early, I take my prescription as directed. I have noticed on several occasions that the pharmacist makes comments like "Are you sure you aren't using more than one doctor and more than one pharmacy?" I can't believe they can even talk to me like that!!! Because there are 31 days in December and 31 days in January I tried to get my rx filled one day early in February and was told I could not do so, when I asked why I could not have it one day early I was told it was the law.

I work as an insurance biller in a doctor's office and I know I can get the rx filled at 29 days, I don't ask it every month, I have to have a prescription from my doctor so I can't get it filled til I had the script in hand! So, when I went to fill my prescription filled last night, I was told by the pharmacist at the Walgreens on Leaphart and Hwy 1 in West Columbia SC that she would get it ready, come back in an hour because they are busy. I came back an hour later and the pharmacist told me she had not gotten to it, give her a minute and it would be done. I had taken my last pill two hours earlier and needed it filled for the dose for Friday morning.

She came over, with a very clear attitude and said that I tried to get her to fill it early and she wasn't doing it. I told it wasn't early, I took my last one today, I explained to her the two 31 days months, at that point she stopped me. She said I should have gotten it filled early in February, I told her I tried but she, she personally, refused to fill it early, said it was the law and I needed to monitor my medication better. I told her there was nothing wrong with how I take my meds, I take them as directed! She then said it was a law that I could get it one day early, so I asked her which law was right??? I guess it is the law that works to her advantage at that particular moment! We now go to CVS! I have had so many snide comments made to me from Walgreens pharmacists, if they are so jaded they should change professions! Some of us are really honest people! I won't go back!

I insisted and she stated that I should come back the next day that she was going to speak to her manager. She kept the medicine and the coupon. I came back the next day and another attendant stated that the manager said no. I asked for my money back and he refused. I was very upset because I wanted to buy this medication at another pharmacy. The attendant stated once the medicine is processed there is nothing they could do. I told them I never took the medicine and that they had it and it was never opened that the carton was intact. The attendant refused stating that the manager had said no.

I am a chronic diabetic with kidney disease and spend about $600 a month (at Walgreens alone) in medication along with all my family members. We are now buying our medications from CVS. This manager did not even want to speak to me. He is a coward and unprofessional and should not be running the store. Line as usual, very long-- there is never more than 1 or 2 clerks at the registers during rush hour, after work. A male clerk checked out, I put in my points membership number, No points registered. He said "you need to spend 30.00 after your rewards discounts it went down to 29.00." "Ok," I said and threw in 2 packs of gum and a candy bar, balance came to 30.20 before tax and 31.67 with tax. It kept showing 'Processing'. I checked on Friday night and it still showed 'processing'. On Sat. it was delivered to my address, not the ship to address I had specified. After it was delivered I got an email say it had been shipped. Also it had been shipped 2 days earlier and the status was not updated on their site. I then had to ship the item to the person I was purchasing it for. I once again sent Drugstore.com an email, no response. I will never purchase from them again.

I have been with a pain management doctor for over 7 years, and also with Walgreens. I never had a problem filling my prescriptions. I have to go every month to get them and do a pee test. I walked into Walgreens, left my prescriptions, and waited until they were done. I sat there for an hour, finally they said they were not going to fill them, because the combination is not good. I have been detoxing for over 3 days, and can hardly walk. What gives them the right to take my life from me.

I have been a customer of Walgreens for many years. A few years ago, I had to have a spinal surgery due to a severe and life-threatening cervical disc herniation that was causing severe spinal stenosis. Due to continued problems I had to have another surgery to revise the first a year later, and unfortunately have had to endure numerous procedures and am in pain management due to permanent nerve damage caused my the stenosis and other related problems. I've always used Walgreens. Sometimes I'd go to other pharmacies, but it's always been my pharmacy of choice.

Naturally, as a pain management patient I have gone through a myriad of medications until finally landing on ** for breakthrough pain. This combination seems to work well for me. Additionally, I take an antidepressant and an anti-anxiety medication but those I have taken for almost ten years. Actually I used to take ** instead of **, until I realized that ** actually had some muscle relaxant qualities that would help in my spinal treatment, so I switched over to it a year or so ago. I have always gotten these prescriptions filled at Walgreens. I have been shorted on ** several times and have reported it to corporate. Lately, certain pharmacies are requiring a written prescription for narcotics. Fine. We have those.

There is a shortage of narcotics amongst pharmacies so you always have to call before going for a refill. You can no longer do this. You have to drive all over town to find your medication. To add insult to injury, Walgreens told me today that they can't fill my **. I asked why and since when, as they have been filling it for months. I was told this was a corporate policy that has been in place since October of last year. Why then, have I been getting my prescriptions each month? They could not explain why. When I asked to have just my ** filled (because I was out and already going through withdrawals), they refused. The pharmacist offered to fill it if I would agree to change from ** to something else. I was gobsmacked.

So now the pharmacists are overruling my doctors, changing and denying their treatment orders?? I have been sick with opiate withdrawal all week and had to call my doctor's nurse to have HER call Walgreens, and they told her they would fill my prescriptions this last time but that I would have to go somewhere else next time. Since when did the pharmacy gain the power to determine patient treatment? Luckily I am on a pretty low dose of methadone, but there are people out there who are sick or maybe even worse from withdrawals because the pharmacies are playing God with their medical care.

This is absurd! This is discrimination. This HAS to be illegal! I have never in my LIFE been this angry over an issue and I am not going to stop until I find an active class action lawsuit or I have one of my own started. There are thousands of patients out there in the exact same boat as I am and I refuse to accept this. Surely there is something that can be done to stop this unfair and unjust and positively inhumane action!

Keeping mind that all the time I was there, they kept playing the same advertisement about Medicare Part D while they told me it is not their policy to help me. I'm on Medicare Part D but they did not even look at my card. They just said that my script was not written correctly and I do not meet their criteria. The guy that was waiting on me just handed the script to someone else and she told me that. It felt very discriminatory to be refused help from a pharmacy. I will never go back there or any Walgreens again. Made me feel like I was at Chick-Fil-A.

Why the hell does anyone come here? We were told by CVS that they would have the pain medication we needed, but once we got there, they said that they couldn't fill it because we've never been there before. When I asked how it was possible to fill any prescriptions with them as new customers there when we hadn't before, the girl literally just "shrugged" at me. My father was in a horrible motorcycle accident where he broke both legs.

While I get that they're trying to prevent scammers and junkies from getting a hold of pain medications, what the hell are people supposed to do when they've never needed a prescription from them before because they were in perfect health but had a terrible accident? I later overheard the girls talking about me while I was waiting to speak to their pharmacist, and whispering things like "I know I've never seen her before" like I looked like some kind of criminal. I am so offended, and so infuriated by the way they treated me and refused to help assist in the situation at all.

I then called Kaiser the next day and found out they had entered more than one script but the one was cancelled.

Finally, the next day the pharmacists filled it due to my dr. calling them. Then today, I called the doctor to get the remainder of my other pain med since at first she did not fill the full 30 days worth. My husband went to the Walgreens pharmacy and that same pharmacists told him there is no way he would fill it since I got a fill on the 16th (this was not my regular dose I was short by 10 days) and he won't fill it for 30 days no matter what the doctor said. It was horrible because he has no idea what my history was like and if he just picked up a phone instead of flat out not filling it maybe he would have understood my situation.

I had back surgery on February 19,2015. Fusion l4 and l5 third time same place. I was in pain but stood at the drop-off counter. I watched Libby as she was on the phone taking down someone's request. I know I stood there 15 minutes waiting then she sees someone whose prescription was ready. She called Mr. ** up so I moved out of the way respecting his privacy for using the debit machine. Mr. ** left then she takes the old man behind me prescription. I was truly ready to cry with pain at this time. She saw me standing there before she called that man up to get his prescription. She never said, "One moment please," or "I will be a minute" or anything. After she got the old man's script, she finally got mine. She said, "Are you going to wait?" I said yes. I also wrote my birthday down for her so that much would be done on my script. She takes my script, says "Let me see if we have it in stock." I told her, "As of this morning, you did. I called."

She checks anyway, fine by me. The script was for **. I can't help how the doctor writes but she said they couldn't fill it cause it was dated for 3/2/11. The doctor writes his 5s like that cause I asked about it before I left his office. They showed me where the rest of the 5 was. I said, "Oh ok." So I explained this to her. I even asked if they would call the doctor. I understand it is a controlled substance and there are strict rules to enforce now but I had just had surgery a little over a week and was hurting. Just wanted to get it filled and go home and lay down. She told me no to calling the doctor. I would agree to that part but if I was in her shoes, at least I would have explained to the registered pharmacist that she had surgery, could we call the doctor instead of her driving 20 minutes away then come back and have to wait a hour. That's what she said to me first - it would take an hour.

My point is that on the message that comes on is about swapping your meds to them. Why? If someone treats you the way I got treated, then no. I like Walgreens and have even drove from Eclectic to Montgomery to get a certain kind of ** which is a good way from my home. The Walgreens I used today was in Wetumpka, AL. I do not like going in there for this same reason - the bad attitudes. I'd rather drive 40 miles one way than to go to the one in Wetumpka, Alabama. So I ended up leaving in tears cause of back pain and I did not want to have to drive to doctor's office in Eclectic just to turn around and go back and sit a hour. So I got the kind I did not like at another pharmacy. All it took was a little kindness from a rude person. I usually overlook ugly rude people but not today. If I had to do all over again, I would call all the little pharmacies and checked with them to see if they had this kind I prefer to take.

I think from now on I will do that. Small businesses are kind. They need the money and I think I will be glad to give them all my scripts from now on. It's people like me that can make a small business a great success. I should know, my husband has a small business. Word of mouth is our advertising. Maybe before you all hire someone, you should see how they treat the ones that give you all your paychecks. I know a few folks that use you all. I will be more than honored to tell them my story.....

I was diagnosed with Shingles last week and am now dealing with postherpetic nerve pain. My family doctor saw me today and prescribed ** and a sleep aid. The Vicodin prescription had to be hand written, and I delivered it to Walgreens at 3:00. My doc sent the others in via computer. At 4:30, I received a robo call from Walgreens saying that my prescriptions would be delayed and I would be notified when they was filled. I called the store back immediately, knowing my doctor's office closed at 5:00, and being Friday, would not be open again until Monday. After going through a myriad of numerical options, I finally got to the pharmacist, who said the sleep aid was ready, the ** was "processing," and the ** was waiting on approval from my insurance company. They would call me when it was ready.

At 7:00, I called again to be told the Vicodin was still "processing," and the ** would have to wait until Monday when they could contact my doctor to verify the dosage. I made a comment on Facebook, and within 20 minutes, my doctor called me to see how I was doing. (We have mutual friends on Facebook, thank goodness.) I told her what was going on and she blew her top. She called Walgreens, only to find out when WALGREENS input the amount for the **, they input the wrong number of pills per day, so my insurance company wouldn't cover the dosage (which was 6 pills a day too many!) As for the **, it was still "processing." She told them there was no reason for it to be processing for over 4 hours and it needed to be filled. Now. Doc called me back and told me my prescriptions would be ready in 20 minutes, and if they weren't, to call her directly.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Walgreens has held up my prescriptions. My daughter broke her arm two weeks ago and when I went to get her pain meds filled after her surgery, the clerk at the pharmacist said, "You know we don't have enough medicine to fill this, don't you? We just called and left you a message." I had been in line at the pharmacy for over 20 minutes, so I did NOT know that. I asked her if they had enough to get my daughter (who is 11) through the weekend. She said, "What if we don't?" I told her I'd get the Rx back and take it to another pharmacy! How rude! Turns out they did have enough to get her through the weekend, and she didn't need all of that, but there's just no excuse for the rudeness of the clerk. I'm definitely changing pharmacies. I don't pay what I do for health insurance with pharmacy benefits to be treated like this.

My husband went to pick up his prescriptions, and they gave him the one that was discontinued ago along with the new medication that is supposed to replace it. We caught it at home before he actually took duplicate medication, so fortunately he didn't get sick from that. He had an adverse reaction to the old prescription, so it could have been pretty bad. I thought pharmacists were supposed to look at what they hand out so they won't do that. Not only that, but when he called to report that he thought something was done in error, they blamed that one of his other doctors had prescribed the older medication. However, they had put the name of the doctor who changed it on both. We had just been in there a day ago because of the same problem. We aren't going back. They wouldn't even refund money, even though giving him something he shouldn't take was their error.

The Walgreens on the corner of Deer Valley and Davison in Antioch, CA has given us problems time and time again. We are done dealing with them and will not be going back. They have gone from not understanding the quantity on a prescription (thereby causing me countless phone calls to them, the doctor's office, and insurance to try and rectify their mistake) to not giving us the correct dosage to a medicine and doing nothing to fix the problems. With this latest issue, I had carefully measured out each dose of my child's antibiotic, as I always do, with the measuring device Walgreens provided. I was extra cautious, because as I told my husband when I administered the first dose, it didn't seem like there was enough medicine in the bottle. Well sure enough, we were short a whole dose.

I went back to the pharmacy to let them know and to get the missing dose so my child could complete her full course of antibiotics. But instead, I was told I received the correct amount numerous times. Then, the pharmacist told me I didn't have a refill to get more. Then, she said she couldn't just give me the missing dose, to fix their mistake, she'd have to give me a whole new bottle and she'd want to get paid for it. She said, to get that one missing dose, I'd have to pay full price because my insurance wouldn't pay for it. My insurance wouldn't pay for it because it thinks I still have a dose for one more day.

So instead of apologizing and giving me what was missing, the pharmacist wanted me to pay $51 for essentially one dose, when I paid $15 for the prescription. Why am I paying for anything? You didn't give me enough in the bottle! This Walgreens pharmacy makes mistakes at your expense and does nothing to fix it. They don't care and they are rude. We are done with Walgreens.

Apparently their machine was broken and they never thought to call the customer whose orders were placed. That was a fun day. Long story short I ended up at another Walgreen's on the other side of the city at 9 pm on Christmas Eve. That was fun. Second time was Valentine's. I ordered a book that was advertised as same day pick up later to find out it takes several days to arrive via mail. Empty handed Valentines Day gifter, I was.

Third but not least, I spent weeks and weeks and hours upon hours getting a birthday gift together for my husband; a photo book. I paid and placed the order for it to arrive the Friday, the 20th, before his birthday. Much to my surprise I, get an email the day prior stating it was just shipped. Expected delivery was Monday, the 23rd, two days AFTER his birthday! Customer Service was useless only offering a refund in shipping. After all the hours and editing a 96 page photo book, as if shipping was supposed to help my situation. Another empty handed special occasion! I'm disgusted, appalled, and furious. Next few months fill again.... we finally had enough and switched him to Wal-Mart, who has been WONDERFUL!!! We have had not a single issue with Wal-Mart for 8 months. This month the long acting pain med he takes was on backorder.. told us try back next week. We left went on vacation. We had prepaid for 5 days.... came back, still on backorder. My husband drives all over and after no luck because small stores don't want to accept insurance, he decides to try Walgreens... what a joke...

After them holding script for three days they decide they will refuse to fill. I then talk with head pharmacist and explain why script is over a week old... tell her I can show proof of being on vacation and ask her just why doesn't he fall under your Good Faith Program... I then tell her I would like a copy of her Good Faith List so I could report her Rachel to Health Dept. and am told of course that I can't have a copy they are property of store... wait.... they can call my husband's Dr... disagree with their plan of treatment, as pharmacist.... but I can't have a copy of the record???

Isn't this against Hipaa Laws??? I mean if you're going to refuse a patient, then why not let them know why. I WILL NEVER USE THEM FOR ANYTHING AGAIN, I took script back to Wal-Mart, who still is out and ask if they carry medication that Dr now gives protocol when meds can't be filled. She spoke to me with respect and helped me immensely to figure out whether they carried this other medication... she even suggested first trying other pharmacy and when I told her about my Walgreens experience shook her head with empathy. ** Walgreens, people wonder why Wal-Mart is so popular and loved!!!

I went back up, decided I will not buy this, and left it on the nearest counter. When I left the store, no alarm went off but I was pulled back into the store. I offered to show him everything in my pockets, but he found nothing. He then patted me down. In my many things in my pocket, things he found a package of Halls and asked me where I bought them. I said in the store. He asked for a receipt and I didn't have it.

He put me in a room, closed the door, almost fully, recorded the conversation without me knowing, and started questioning me about the $1.99 Halls. He took them and would not return them. I decided to leave and 6 policemen rushed in and put me in a corner. It was horrifying. They made me (threatening to handcuff me) sign some trespassing thing. I finally did and asked for my Halls back - it was probably scanned (I paid cash). So I could prove I paid for it. Police said it didn't belong to me - it belonged to the store. I left.

I have lived in this neighborhood for more than 30 years and a board of director of the local synagogue. My kids and wife and friends shop there often. Should I have to wait outside when they go in? Should I have to explain why? If I do go in, and the police were called would that not ruin my reputation and status in the community?

My girlfriend is having this exact issue. We went to a Walgreens in Altamonte Springs Florida, across from Florida Hospital Altamonte. She has a spinal stimulator for pain management, and it has broken, and is now malfunctioning and sending electrical shocks straight into her spinal cord. To have this implant put in it required drilling holes in her vertebrae...this is NOT a small procedure. This of course is causing great amounts of pain.

We went to the pharmacist with a prescription given by her doctor, and we have no problem waiting for it to be verified. The Pharmacist we find out later blacklisted her, and now she cannot get ANY meds from Walgreens, even cold medications. So not only can she not get her pain meds, she cannot go to any Walgreens for any medications whatsoever. We found this out when she went in and they treated her like she was some kind of crackhead criminal.

My girlfriend is a 25 year old blonde girl, who is clean cut, was wearing a Ralph Lauren shirt when we walked in, and carries a $300 Dooney and Bourke purse. I drove up in my Audi. We are far from looking like meth heads, or pill poppers. We just want her to get her pain meds so she can stay out of the hospital, until she can have her surgery to fix her stimulator. She has been on pain meds for 9 years, and we brought all the documentation to prove this.

The Pharmacist was a real a-hole for doing this to her. My mother is a retired Director at Florida Hospital, and later AETNA. We have the means to make sure many people hear about this, and make sure Walgreens Corporate hears about our bad experience. I hope NO one thinks of using Walgreens Pharmacy, as they will blacklist you for no reason.

Walgreens Pharmacy guaranteed me a price of $68.00 for my medication that I was paying $125.00 for from a different pharmacy if I joined their RX savings club. The family plan costs $40.00 a year. I transferred my RX. They did not have the medicine in stock. When my RX was ready, instead of $68.00, the RX was $178.00. When I asked them why, they told me it was because the RX had been out of stock. I wasn't really shocked, because years ago they had given me ear drops instead of eye drops for my infant daughter. It's a good thing I was paying attention because they sure were not.

I stopped using their pharmacy years ago, but I was trying to save money so I thought I would give them another chance. I told them I didn't want the RX and my original Pharmacy, which is Dierbergs, was kind enough to transfer my RX back to them. Walgreens said they would transfer it back for me, but they neglected to do that. My advice, steer clear of Walgreens Pharmacy.

I went to Walgreen's to refill a prescription. I was told I would have to wait at least a half an hour. I advised the person taking the prescription that I would wait. I did a little shopping while I waited and returned to the pharmacy waiting area. After 50 minutes, the woman at the register asked me what my name was and what I was waiting for. I gave her my name and told her I had been waiting for almost an hour. She spoke to one of her counterparts and then returned to the register and told me that they didn't have the prescription I had been waiting for.

Why in the world didn't someone inform me that they didn't have my medication when in the beginning? Why did I have to wait 50 minutes to be told that they didn't have it???? This is truly not good customer service. The woman finally offered to contact another location to see if they had it but they didn't have it either. They ended up having to order the medication for me to have to come another time to pick it up. Do you mean to tell me that it took 50 minutes for someone to realize they didn't have it?? This is really not acceptable!

On my initial visit at Walgreens pharmacy, the pharmacy assistant was very welcoming and pleasant as usual, my narcotic script was handed to pharmacist and he then stated he would not fill due to it being I filled one 3 weeks earlier but a different mg. I said yes, but it's a med change increase therefore it's acceptable and insurance agrees. He then called my doctor who was seeing patients and could not get to the phone so had an APRN who is also licensed to write scripts to approve it. He then told me he still would not until doctor called back. He then handed script back to me with his writing "do no fill until this date." He is not a doctor or even a licensed DEA numbered script writer. I was upset and asked to see Walgreens policy in writing that he needs to speak to head doctor from practice, he said it's his policy.

I then went to fill it a week and a half later cause I did not need the medication and still had some left over, and the next pharmacist would not fill due to script being alter. I explained to the other pharmacist who did it, he still would not fill. These pharmacist do what they want even if it's not the DEA guidelines or policy. It's a disgrace to the medical professional who really care for patients. Regardless why I receive the medication, cancer, car accident victim, lupus, leukemia, all patients should be treated the same. I will NEVER go to Walgreens again and will tell everyone I know NOT to either. It only takes one person for word to travel.

Lately it seems Walgreens has begun to do everything in their power to either not fill certain medications or make you feel incredibly uncomfortable when doing so. I have a pain management Dr, I have been filling pain meds for about 4 years now, almost entirely at Walgreens. I just recently had my 4th back surgery so the surgeon took over my care until I was released back to my pain mgmt. Dr. saw some meds have been changed. I tried to explain this to the pharmacist and even brought paperwork from the hospital to try to prove I'm not a junkie or a seeker. They had my history printed out on a piece of paper reviewing.

The pharmacist told me she would not fill it because I should have had plenty of the Norco left. Well, I did, BUT the surgeon did not want me taking that, he changed it, so I tried to get what he wanted filled and was treated like a criminal. Embarrassed, uncomfortable, uneasy and never going back to Walgreens again. Not only that, but they say it will take an hour and half now because they need to run a report, well they don't even tell you they won't fill it until after the hour and a half. I have completely legal and legit Rx for this. Walmart had no problems filling it. Bye bye Walgreens and I'll be sure to share my experience with everyone I know.

As an 18+ year employee with Walgreens, I would let it be known that I have been devalued by this company to the point that my wage is permanently been capped. Having not even a cost of living raise in almost 3 years has left me on the corner of foreclosure and bankruptcy, yet the workload has increased, as well as the expectation of loyalty and the demand of secrecy about their payroll practices. Although it is not my intent to begrudge the powers that be their obscene rates of compensation, it most certainly is my intent to expose their utter disregard for the well-being of the very people who make it possible for them to draw such comparatively outrageous profits.

It is my fondest wish to become a person of value once again by the employer I have loved and been loyal to all of these years but it appears that it won't happen any time soon. So my message to anyone reading this letter is to not be surprised that the quality of service as well as the quality of workers you've come to rely on will become a thing of the past, and much sooner than you think. I am, with much sorrow as well as resentment, planning some kind of exit strategy although, at my age, is becoming increasingly difficult.

I usually fill all my scripts at CVS. However, this occasion 4 CVS didn't have ** 75 mcg in stock. I went to Walgreens in Mt. Ephraim to see if I could fill it there. The assistant took my insurance info and my Driver's License info. She was ok. Not welcoming, but more "I'm here to do a job" candor. It didn't bother me as I tend to sympathize with pharmacy personnel as their work is stressful and monotonous. She returned my Insurance ID which is AETNA MEDICARE HMO but kept my d.l. and handed it with my prescription for ** 75 mcg, 15 patches, 1 per 48 hours. It is prescribed to me by my pain management company.

After waiting 10 minutes I got up to ask the assistant if she still had my d.l. which she said the pharmacist had it and that she would be right with me. I sat back down and about 4 minutes later the pharmacist called, "Mr. **?" I politely declared my presence and as I approached the counter she was handing back my license and prescription, saying she CAN'T fill it because (verbatim),"You don't meet the criteria." I asked, "Criteria? What criteria is that?" Pharmacist, "It's a long list of criteria set by Walgreens." I asked, "May I see the list?" "No! I'm not allowed to show it to you." "Then may I ask you to tell me what criteria from this list did I not meet?" I asked. She replied with an abrupt and annoyed manner, "I told you I can't tell you. It's a very long list!"

So I said, "Is it because I've never filled a script here or because it's a C2 Drug?" "No," she replied. I then asked, "Do you fill C2 drugs including this one? Pharmacist replied, "Yes we do." I asked if the ** I needed was in stock. She said, "Yes! But again I'm unable to fill yours because you fail to meet the criteria." I then said, "This is wrong and what you're doing is wrong. I have a legal legitimate prescription I need filled because I'm out of these patches and you won't fill it for me because of a "criteria" I can't meet because you refuse to divulge it to me." She sarcastically said, "If you'd like to complain I can get the manager." I said, "Why would I complain to the manager who will defend you? Now you're insulting my intelligence." I proclaimed to her, "I'll contact the Department of Consumer Affairs and complain to them!" And with a grin she said, "Okay, you have a nice day now," and walked away.

I'm not a drug addict, dealer, criminal. I have a clean driving record, and no criminal or misdemeanor offenses on my personal record. I take all my medication as prescribed, pass all urine screenings but most of all, I never wanted to be on ANY narcotic meds. I fought through years and years of some of the most debilitating back pain. When I would see a doctor about my back, at one time getting steroid injections, I was always offered pain meds, not as a friendly gesture, but of concern by the doctor for my well-being, and I'd always refuse.

In 2009 getting epidural steroid injections in the month of August, I was prescribed 5 mg **. I took them as directed then went off of them in September as I felt I no longer wanted to be on them. On November 25th, 2009 my L4 disc herniated while I was setting a tile backsplash. When that happened intuition gave me a warning that I will not be doing tile much longer, as Doctors predicted. They all said, "Joe, one of these days your back will quit on you and you'll drop to the floor like a sack of cement." And so it happened as they said. With the help of a few steroid injections and ** 5 mg, I made it until the first 14 days of Dec. 2010. In Jan. 2011, I officially closed my tile company, to this day a heart-breaking memory that I still cry about.

I never wanted to be in this position. I'm now permanently disabled and all my days are a battle for me to overcome this nemesis of mine: retractable chronic severe pain joined with any untreatable, incurable disease inflicted upon me by a careless Surgeon or his Attendant who tore a hole in my spinal cord approximately 1" long in the Dura layer down into the most delicate part of our anatomy, the ARACHNOID. It is the SUPERHIGHWAY of all sensory, voluntary and involuntary, motor skills and organ function.

And it was hidden from me for almost 9 years when a CT MYELOGRAM picked it up and saw the formation of scar tissue inside my spinal cord and the Cauda Equina was tethering, twisting, sticking to each other, and forming Hollow Spinal Cord Syndrome. I sent 17 years of my own collection of all my health records to a World Renowned Anesthesiologist, Dr.Antonio **, who for 7 weeks scoured my reports and images and formulated a 24 page Independent Medical Review. He found more evidence of back and spinal cord injuries, caused by Steroid Injection, that Radiologists from hospitals, SJRA, STAT IMAGING had all missed due to lack of due diligence, in my opinion.

Anyway, I digress. This is the 2nd time that WALGREENS PHARMACY in Mt. Ephraim located at the corner of Black Horse Pike and Kings Highway has treated me with ill-regard for my overall health, safety and welfare. The first was over ** Prescriptions in which this incident that occurred over a year ago, the Pharmacist, who was Asian and was difficult to understand when she spoke. I unfortunately kept asking her to please slow down when speaking as I could not understand her. I apologized, even though I speak English, to her as to not cause an uncomfortable situation. She insisted upon telling me that my Neuropsychiatrist with degrees in Pharmacopeia and 34 years of practicing, he was wrong. I was taking too much meds., failing to read the time intervals and giving me her unwarranted beliefs, of which I care for not.

This store, at least the Pharmacy, needs to be flagged for its ill-begotten practices and a full investigation by the Pharmacy Board and possibly DEA. I don't practice nor pretend to know anything about today's Medicine. However, I am well read, know my rights and also know that IT IS A VIOLATION of law to refuse a patient the medication they need when a legitimate and legal prescription is presented. I went to 7 different pharmacies today. I was under the belief that the PRESCRIPTION DRUG MONITORING PROGRAM was put in place to prevent Doctor shopping. This information, still, is NOT PLACED IN A PROMINENT PLACE for the consumers to be informed of their rights and why it was formulated.

I also thought, from what I read, that it would not interfere with the continuous supply of necessary medications needed for the citizens of New Jersey who are in need of monthly meds. I've ran into problems of supply and demand. Bringing undue stress upon the infirm and their local pharmacies. I had feared this happening, because whenever government gets involved, all be it good intentions or otherwise, the tax payers get punished. And all this over a handful of bad apples and an angry Senator who lost her 15 year old son to an alleged ** overdose in which he purchased online. How does a fifteen year old get a credit card?

It's not working, this PDMP. It has caused pharmacies, and not a couple, I went to 7 within a 5 mile radius, to be out of much needed meds and undue stress on a lot of efficient, diligent pharmacists. Please stop WALGREENS from their unjust and illegal activities. Or, the public, will file class action lawsuits against them. Sick people, people in pain, diabetics, people getting off of narcotics NEED THEIR MEDS IN A TIMELY AND EFFICIENT MANNER. It's sad to think that a life or lives could be lost because of the shenanigans at Walgreens. I for one, with your help will work to end it. Thank You For Your Attention. I do apologize for the wordiness. God Bless You All for the hard work you do.

I can call them 3 hrs after my doctors send a script over and they don't have it. By this time, the doc's office is closed but then it magically appears around 8:00 or 8:30 pm and they close at 9 pm.

So I have to wait until the next day & hope it doesn't mysteriously disappear again before I can pick it up the next day!! I had enough with dealing with these 2 stores and transferred my entire family over to CVS. I have 2 special needs kids, one with cerebral palsy & one with a congenital heart defect. The sad thing is that I'm ALWAYS very nice to them but they turn around and treat me like crap. I've never spoke to any of them about it and decided it was best to make the change. All 5 of us are on monthly meds and my kids get at least 6 prescriptions a month or more.

So Walgreens will be losing a lot of money from my family because of their behavior & ATTITUDES. I've even called their corporate office and spoke to a supervisor but got treated the same. So the change to CVS, that recently took place on FRIDAY, hopefully will be nothing like Walgreens was. For over the last 8 yrs I've stuck with them after time and time again, they let me down with their mistakes and attitudes. HELLO CVS! Please save me and HELP ME get my kids their medicines (and not 2 days later, please). Thank you & best wishes to ALL!!!

I assume every pharmacy have their own rules and procedures but a little sensitivity goes a long way. My wife had her doctor call in a script for her depression meds at the local Walgreens. When my wife went to pick it up, the tech asked if she wanted a 30/60/90 supply. My wife said a 90 day supply and when the tech gave her the cost, it seemed a lot higher than we normally paid but my wife needed the meds and bought them.

At home, I called my prescription plan company and they stated that the co-pay rates went up Jan 1st but the price would be almost $50 less if ordered for mail delivery for a 90 day supply. My wife went back to Walgreens with the script bag that was still stapled from the store and advised them that she only needed a 30 day supply to hold her over. They refused, saying the drugs had been ordered and she should have asked for the 30 day supply initially.

I went back today and tried to explain the situation to the pharmacy manager but she refused, saying that the drugs had left the store. I showed her the unopened stapled bag but it was useless. I told her and everyone else within ear range that we would never purchase another item from Walgreens. On a side note, we called the local CVS pharmacy and after hearing the situation, they stated that they would have taken back the unopened script. Guess who's getting our business from now on...

I have been on the same controlled medications for years and used to use Rite Aid until I had a very bad experience with one specific pharmacist that I didn't want to affect me again. So I began to use Walgreens, which worked fine for a little while but for the longest time now has been an absolute nightmare. Everytime I have gone to fill my two controlled Rx which I VOLUNTARILY CHOSE TO REDUCE as I introduced a host of additional meds, I have experienced a revolving set of lies, half-truths, insults and remarks about me using my Rx "inappropriately". I am Type I bipolar and have had numerous suicides in my family, and I do not smoke, drink, or take any drugs aside from my medications. I noticed it was a PERSONAL thing when I was able to fill the Rx with certain pharmacists while others showed me the door.

Aside from this insane (and apparently acceptable) treatment, I fit within an extremely small margin of manic depressives that respond miraculously well to **; despite the evidence in the computer, my psychiatrist and all other forms of validation, I am STILL LIED TO. I say lie because that is precisely what happens. The last time I went in for my Rx they told me no less than 6 distinctly different reasons why I could not get my medications. As each one was suggested and I was able to immediately explain, provide explanations and evidence, etc. they simply added a new reason...UNBELIEVABLE!!! I, just like the rest of you, was treated like some kind of junkie for having fully legitimate and validated psychological problems. I am 31 years old, not 15 with some sketchy looking prescription that seems forged.

When a pharmacist looks at me and says (this is only one of many examples): a) I can't fill this because it's too early (it wasn't), b) I can't prove that you've taken this before here (legally that does not matter), c) there are no records of you getting this amount before (she refused to look in the computer which had more than 5 years worth of documentation, which showed that I was prescribed MORE for several years and CHOSE TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT MYSELF), d) I can't validate that you've gotten this filled by calling another pharmacy (THAT IS PRECISELY WHAT PHARMACISTS DO ALL DAY!!! THEY CALL DOCTORS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, OTHER PHARMACIES, ETC. FOR EXACTLY THAT REASON!!!), e) there are even more in just that one situation but I think that proves my point.

Being treated like (and openly referred to as a "pill-seeker", i.e. "junkie") an addict, being OPENLY lied to and denied medication that puts my life in serious danger, being made to wait hours only to be refused my legitimate Rx, as well as being subject to an endless amount of other unethical and (most importantly) ILLEGAL forms of treatment, I am completely washing my hands of Walgreens and will be more than willing to take part in ANY form of legal action taken against them to advocate for the abused patients. This, right here, is exactly what is wrong with big business and how they are untouchable no matter what their crimes.

I am deeply disappointed in my experience with Walgreens, a feeling I have had more and more frequently over the years whenever I deal with this company. Walgreens used to be a great company. Not so anymore. Customer service is a joke. I recently had a contact lens order cancelled because of a discrepancy in my prescription, which is fine, but they made no attempt to notify me of this whatsoever. When I finally called to check where my order was, the only solution they offered was to re-place the order and wait another week or more for it to arrive. Now, I realize they are under no obligation to offer free expedited shipping, but they should have nevertheless, especially since if they had brought this problem to my attention I could have dealt with it days ago and my order would already be on its way, if not here. This is one in a long string of poor customer service experiences. I have lost my patience with Walgreens, and they have lost a once-loyal customer.

But he said a year ago one pharmacist in another Walgreens denied me so he can’t do it. I need my medication to work and support my family and begged with him and it’s up to him if he wants to do it. He lied and lied right to my face and could have done it but just didn’t want to. I was so angry and Walgreens is the worst.. period.

I need to fill a pill minder for a blind person because she can't see what pills she is getting, and stroke affects her also. Walgreens never has enough on hand to fill a full prescription. They want to give you five and make you come back for the rest in a couple of days. That messes us up. It sets us up for errors in filling her med box because its always missing something (** this time. This has happened twice with **. Even baby ** they couldn't fill a complete months prescription). You can't just fill it, tape the second week shut and let her do it. And she can't do it by herself so it messes up two people... her caretakers and her. Plus prescriptions change over different vendors so trying to determine by the shape or color of the pill that is already in the med box is a major headache when you have to come back to it. We have to go look them up online. Plus, we leave town and they evidently expect us to sit around and wait for our next pill.

I don't want to drive all over town and multiple towns chasing drugs down and have to count and verify them all over again. IT'S SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Why aren't they running all over town to find them? They should take that on, but they don't... they dump it on us and expect us to deal with it. This has happened over several Walgreens stores in different states. Walgreens has a stocking problem. Just in time simply isn't good enough for this case!

I went across the street to CVS to check out their price - it was $47.00. They now have all my business. I had called Walgreens on the 30th of Dec. here in Colorado Springs to obtain a refill on my sleep medication and was told it would be ready on the 1st of Jan. after 10 am. I've been told this before, just to drive down there and then for some reason, there's a problem and it's really not ready. So, I called to verify at 9:30 am that it was going to be ready and was told it would be. I get there and the pharmacist informs me that I can't get it filled because it's too similar to an anti-anxiety medication (that some people also use to get sleepy apparently) that the same doctor prescribed to me (and has been doing so for quite a while). He then said he would have to verify with my doctor that I wasn't trying to "get away with something," but since it was Jan. 1st, that the doctor was closed, so he wouldn't be calling today.

I was upset because I wasted my time driving there and also for being treated very poorly, spoken down to and made to feel like I was doing something wrong! He told me that I knew why he wouldn't fill it, because of my "problem" of being on the sleep medication for so long! I said I didn't understand where this was coming from and he said he explained himself and that he wasn't answering any more questions. I was so frustrated that I went to another Walgreens a few minutes from that one and their pharmacist said he didn't see what the problem was and that he would've filled it, but it was a type of med that couldn't be transferred to another store and he said it sounds like I was "stuck". I agreed!

This pharmacist was on a power trip and you can tell he enjoyed it. Why go to the doctor to get refills on a med when they won't even fill it?! When I got home, I called my doctor's office to leave a message and they were NOT closed today. I have one refill left after I get this one (who knows when) and I can't transfer it, but after that, I will NEVER shop at Walgreeens again. Sorry for the long rant! =) Happy New Year!

My Rite Aid was out of my pain meds. I take 2 different kinds. I checked everywhere and they were out except one - Walgreens that I had used in the past. This pharmacy manager refuse to fill my pain meds cause she said she needed to talk to my Dr cause I don't need to be on a breakthrough med and extended release pain med. I told her to look at me and look down.

I am a double amputee, and in March having my left leg amputated cause I suffer from a disease called Charcot Disease, and since you think you are a Dr. - What I have is where the bones in feet start breaking and bones deformed to where they come out my foot. And I go in March to have foot and below the knee amputated, cause the Charcot has attacked my left foot, hence I already lost my right leg, and she still refuse to fill it. I hate going to Walgreens. The corner of happiness... Lol whatever. The past two years I have been self administering my allergy injections. My allergist would write a prescription for the hypodermic needles and the serum was delivered by mail. One night after leaving the gym I arrived at the Walgreens located at 1101 Hill Road Pickerington Ohio. It was approximately 7:30 pm. The pharmacist came from behind his work station and came to the drop off counter. The first words out of his mouth were "Whats Up." His greeting caught me off guard. From previous experiences of micro aggression I knew there was going to be a problem. I handed him the prescription. He took the prescription and held it to the ceiling lights checking for validation by the water marks. As he was doing this I made eye contact with the pharmacist assistance and I could tell by the expression on her face she was ashamed. Ashamed for me and also ashamed for his actions. Without looking at my customer history or asking for identification he gave the prescription back to me and said we are not going to fill it. I asked him why. He said, "It's my decision." I chose to take the higher road that day!

The next morning I went to my office and Googled Walgreen's Corporate Headquarters to make a complaint. I explained in great detail how I was profiled, humiliated, and disgraced. Within two hours of filing the complaint the racist pharmacist contacted me with a boiler plate apology. I explained to him I have been a federal employee for almost 30 years and a federal manager for almost 25 years and I have never been so humiliated by the way he profiled me as a drug addict or drug dealer that day.

I forgave him for his action and moved on until this afternoon. Today my doctor's office called in a prescription to the same Walgreens and the same pharmacist. Months later he has not changed. I can also sense the prejudices and stereotyping has been passed onto the personnel that he supervise. They also exhibit displays of negative attitude and rudeness towards people of color. Today I made another formal complaint with Walgreen's corporate office.

She had my grandson's Medicaid account already established at the Walgreens on Main Street in Weatherford and tried to get one RX filled there. It was a nightmare. They kept telling her it hadn't been authorized. This went on for days.

She finally confronted them to find out what had to be done to get his RX. How could it not be authorized if the Doctor had called it in. Then they told her that the Doctor had to authorize it with Medicaid so they would pay for it. She called the Dr. right away but had to leave a message. Before she left the parking lot the Dr. called her back and told her that by law they had to give her three pills until the RX was authorized for payment. She promptly went right back into the pharmacy and got the three pills after a loud confrontation with the GM of the pharmacy. I called just a little while later and talked to the same GM. He was cold and unconcerned that he had denied a 12 yr. old with Leukemia the medicine he needed to keep from throwing up the chemo and chemo side effect pills he has to take to fight his cancer. He never admitted that he should have informed us of the law and given the three pills to help a child with cancer. My grandson's mother has already transferred the RX back to Cook's Pharmacy.

Now when my grandson stops having to go to Ft. Worth every week for treatments his mother intends to change his RX's to CVS. We will talk to them first to make sure that they intend to have the customer service we need to, hopefully, keep my grandson on the road to recovery and to be able to fight this cancer for the next three years. In fact, I was on the phone with him with the card in my hand and information readily available. The pharmacist REFUSED to assist him because they needed the BIN# and an actual copy of the card to provide him with his prescription. Why wasn't this requested in the past? Why are the pharmacist looking for a bin# and there is no bin# designated on my card? We did explain this to the pharmacist that a bin# was not on the card and he said he could not help us until he gets the card.

I feel like my husband was discriminated against because he is an African American, non-Spanish speaking male, who has Staywell (Medicaid) as the last insurance in your system. How can you demand a bin# to complete transaction and that's not listed on our card? My husband came home and drove back with the card. The card was given to the pharmacist who then stated that the bin# wasn't on the card and he will have to search for it. So, again why were we refused cooperation originally if he could have searched for bin# with the verbal information and not the physical card? This was a waste of our time, gas, and energy.

I do not appreciate this company making our lives so difficult when we could have chosen another pharmacy. I had faith in Walgreens and I supported Walgreens. I have been a customer for many years. Now I will make it my priority to report them to your office, the BBB, my local congressman, local news stations, and via social media if need be. A pharmacist should take pride in providing the public with much needed health aids and be willing to go above and beyond without a negative attitude and hostile reactions. I highly recommend Walgreens conducting a companywide customer service skill building webinar to strengthen their team's ability to deal with customers. At the end of the day, people use Walgreens by choice not by force. I would prefer an approach on a more personable level and fair treatment.

So here's our dilemma. My poor wife has rods in her back, an artificial disk implanted, fused vertebrae, and now a bone spur growing into her spine. She is in constant unyielding debilitating pain every moment of her life, asleep or awake. Because of some rotten apples in our world, pharmacies are limited to how much of certain medications they are allowed to carry in stock so supplies run out very quickly. Because they are afraid of getting robbed, they can't or won't tell you when their next shipment is due to arrive. You have to physically go to each store in person everyday hoping to win the lottery and find one who has it (they can't or won't tell you over the phone).

Well, in a 50 mile radius, my wife found ONE pharmacy who had enough to fill her prescription - Walgreen's. Little is it known that Walgreen's has become so benevolent that they know more about your medical condition than even your doctor! Because no one in our vicinity has it, she drove the 25 miles to drop off her prescription. Little did she know it rose a red flag. Walgreen's doesn't accept her insurance so she is forced to pay cash. That's strike two. And now that they've denied her fill, it'll be a strike three for any future fills.

The pharmacy did call her doctors to make sure it's a legitimate Rx, but it's still up to the pharmacist's discretion whether to fill out or not. And because Walgreen's have decided they know more than her highly respected and highly trained and educated pain management doctor, Pharmacy Manager Richard ** decided to let my wife suffer and writhe in intolerable pain.

I wanted to convey our experience to anyone filling necessary medications and hope you find anywhere else other than Walgreen's. As a side note, they call this "Good Faith Dispensing." I'm not sure where the "Good Faith" falls in this, but when I pressed the issue, he clammed up and I was thrown from the store. As it turns out, they aren't allowed to discuss this policy with the public, this policy they use to torture and alienate needing patients.

I went in to get my meds filled at the closest Walgreens to my doctor. ** 10/325 at 45 pills, take one every 4 hours. It had been 25 days since my last fill. I usually fill at Mom and Pop cause Walgreens are so obnoxious but it was a Sunday so i had no choice. I was 15 DAYS past my refill date. Anyway real quick, this is what the pharmacist said to me: "I'm sorry sir, I can't fill this for you because this doctor writes way too many of these small prescriptions for pain and that is not how you treat chronic pain."

So why do I need to see a doctor? If the pharmacists know how to treat chronic pain then why not go straight to pharmacist? I am not going to rant. We all know what this is. These are pharmacists that are in the wrong industry and get a kick out of ruining peoples days lives. Supported by a corporate culture that encourages this. I assume it is because they got fined 80 million dollars for raking in the cash on scripts. So instead of ranting I will just say this: I and all my friends and even strangers I chat with while online, all will discontinue going to Walgeens for anything. I go out of my way to tell people my story and I suggest all of you do the same. This company and its employees are ridiculous. Just don't go to Walgreens. Problem solved people. Of course, make sure you, like myself go out of your way to tell everyone you know how you were treated at Walgreens.

However they can't guarantee that the replacement will have a later expiration. In fact, it may be even shorter! Alternatively, I can return the product for credit. Either way, I have to use their shipping label at a cost to me of $4.99. I am not likely to do business with them again.

Nothing filled and the specialist come in and spoke w/ David and he denied that no one came in never heard of this person coming in. He lied and we was outside and the state said he had to save his ass or lose his job. This Walgreen no case action suit is coming. Get your doc to sign you up for the $$$. The first part of my issue was I was shopping late at night, which resulted in the cart reflecting discounts I didn't actually receive. There was a sale running and even though the cart had been refreshed several times, between double checking products and visiting Paypal for payment, the discounts didn't go away until AFTER I pressed "confirm order". That was when the total went from $36 to $45.

Then the biggest issue was the shipping address being incorrect. I had picked the correct address on Paypal and drugstore.com showed the correct address on their site, until once again after I pressed "confirm order". This was when it showed it would ship to my OLD address, 3 hours from where I currently live. I called them within 5 minutes and the girl said there was absolutely no way for them to edit the shipping address, but she could put in a request to have the order cancelled. She said there would be a chance it could deny, but I had to give it 24 hours.

After 36 hours I notice I still hadn't received an email about the order, like the representative said I would. Also my order was still showing as processing on their website and I was now showing 2 charges for this order pending on my bank account. I call them once again and the lady tells me the cancel request was denied, and since I paid with Paypal I would have had to call within 1-2 minutes in order for it to be likely to cancel. Then she tells me she can try to correct the shipping address, but that wasn't guaranteed either. So the first girl I spoke to said there was NO way for her to edit the address, but this lady says there is.

Now I'm in a position where I have no idea where these products are being shipped to and I feel like this website is doing nothing but giving me the runaround and trying to steal money from me. I will never, EVER shop at drugstore.com again after this experience. One of the first priorities of an online retailer should be having a system that allows for addresses to be corrected up until it leaves the facility. Why do they not have someone double checking addresses right before it goes to ship? This makes no sense to me and has caused me nothing but stress and frustration. I warn anyone who uses this site, if you pay with Paypal, make sure the only address listed on your drugstore.com account is your current one. If you don't, the website will automatically chose the incorrect one and you'll be up a creek. And one last thing to point out, under the order there is an "edit order" button, but it's been grayed out since I placed the order and I've never been able to click it. What is the point of this??

I went to the Walgreens at 5555 Edmondson Pike, Nashville, TN on Friday December 5th. I took my pain medicine prescription there every month like I always have been for 7 years. (Not the same Walgreens but ALWAYS a Walgreens store). I left and within 15 minutes the tech called to tell me that they could not fill my script due to the Dr leaving the DEA number off. She told me to come back and pick it up because the doctor's office was closed and they couldn't get in touch with anyone to get the number. I went back to pick it up and was told that I could bring the script back the following Monday when my Dr office opened and they would call and get the number needed to fill the script. When I got there after the tech handed the script back to me, she told me to hang on, the pharmacist wanted to speak with me.

The pharmacist came over and first questioned me why I was at a Walgreens out of my area. Ok, they are considering 15 miles away from my house out of the area which is just stupid. I told them that I work in that area, not that is any of their business. She then questioned me as to why my Dr was 2 hours away from Nashville. I explained to her that I haven't lived in Nashville long and due to a complex, lengthy medical history, I have chosen not to change doctors since I have been seeing the same one for almost 10 years for a medical condition and am comfortable with my Dr. Also, 2 hours every 3 months is not too far for me to drive for excellent medical care. After all of that, the pharmacist said to me, "I am not going to fill this prescription, you can take it elsewhere". I asked “Why not?” And she said “Because your Dr is not in the immediate area.”

I then asked her what she suggested that I do. She said I either need to drive 2 hours away every time I need a prescription filled or find another Dr. Keep in mind, she had this conversation with me in front of other workers in the pharmacy and other customers. She should have at least had the decency to ask me to come in and speak with me privately instead of putting my private information on blast for everyone to hear. Instead she was insensitive and rude. She flat out did not care and she does not need to be working with the public with that kind of attitude.

After being in tears for 2 hours, I called walgreens corporate and filed a complaint. I got a phone call back today from management at that particular store who told me that walgreens nationwide as a company has decided to no longer fill prescriptions that are not written by Doctors in the immediate area. In the mean time, I had already gotten all of my prescriptions filled by a locally owned pharmacy with no hassle and no questions. I explained to them my situation and they called my Dr to get the DEA number and filled the prescription! That simple. Walgreens just does not care anymore. They have gotten so big, they can make up their own rules and treat people like crap and make them feel like a drug addict! I will NEVER fill another prescription at Walgreens nor will I even so much as purchase a piece of gum there. I hope they get what's coming to them. They can't treat their lifelong customers this way and expect to keep getting return business.

I had a cervical spinal fusion surgical procedure October 7, 2014 at Jacksonville Mayo Clinic. I was discharged October 9th. I fill prescriptions occasionally at the LPGA Holly Hill location, however this particular day I needed ** in liquid for 10 days and a muscle relaxant as well. The pharmacist asked why did I need the prescription. The prescription was on a Mayo Clinic prescription form with adequate information for him to make contact for verification. He never read the liquid prescription based on the 10 day supply, which was prescribed for swallowing affected of the surgery. I had a prescription for 100 pills of ** that was to be fill on or after October 18th.

After getting the prescription for the first two filled, the pharmacist was very rude and treated me as if my prescription was fake. On the 19th I returned in the drive thru to get the other prescription filled. This time the pharmacy tech (never greeted me), just took the prescription, walked to the back, I guess to confirm with the pharmacist. She came back and said "We don't have it." I replied "That's okay, when will you have it?" She said "Wednesday". I said "okay, Wednesday is good". She returned my Rx to me and never said another word, she was very rude. I will never go there again.

Publix Pharmacist took the prescription, called the doctor and filled the prescription on a Sunday within 30 minutes. She was very professional and she went over the information about the drug and its side effects. Sorry Walgreens has never explained anything to me. Walgreens should not allow their pharmacist to determined who should or should not get prescription medications. They should utilized contact information and work with medical providers as well as provide better customer service procedures. The technician (if she was in fact a pharmacy technician) was not professional. She never greeted or closed the conversation. That needs to be addressed. I am not a drug addict and I certainly don't want someone treating me like one. I was raised in a family that took all prescriptions to Walgreens because they are a national chain pharmacy. Walgreens has always been my family prescription headquarters --- innovations --- like this one -- Walgreens should reconsider their options.

In October 2014, I was yet another one of the Victims of their Good Faith Policy! Ha! I've shopped at various Walgreens over the last 20+ years depending on where I was living. Only years ago at the College Park pharmacy did I encounter any unprofessional attitudes with a female pharmacist there. Skip ahead to current situation, when possible on a couple prescriptions like antibiotics and such I'll shop where something’s free or at an extremely lower price point. Since, Walgreens has 24-hour locations spread out I may have to use a different location. I used to have a Walgreen s pharmacy card as well but, let it lapsed. Anyway, I only get one controlled prescription, **, which my doctor switched me to because my original medication was always unavailable due to shortages.

Now of course the same has happened to ** and the price has been high. The first month I started I was able to get it filled right at Redbug. This was right around the corner from me. Then, each month after they were out as was all the stores in our neighborhood. The pharmacists generally are rude when I go inside with my ID and I'm in their system, obviously each time updating my address info although they're not always great at entering it or hitting send? Who knows? Well I'd had luck for 3 months refilling it at Walgreens on 17-92 & Oxford I believe. Come October, as I decided to first go through drive-thru to see if they had it because, I'd been running errands, groceries, etc. I went to the lane with the window, so I could talk to a person and it was the same young man that's waited on me every month. Where upon I was told, that (I always come in and wait) that it would be 1 1/2 hrs. I said ok but “You have it in right?” He said “Yes but, they needed to check on.” Vague answers. I said ok. Now, they know my doctor’s right around the corner by where I live and I've told them I'm glad that at least I can count on them to have it.

Turns out I've been rejected as a pharmacy client and they never called my doctor. As I proceeded to and they called asking what was the problem even giving them my diagnosis code. But, it didn't matter. I've now came to understand that it may be because I hadn't updated my address since moving across town & in with my boyfriend (who's a teacher) and not always having enough in my checking account, I pay cash. Now, each month I've had to look all over 2 counties for my medicine. I'm miserable due to generics that are different than Walgreens. This month (November) I waited almost 2 weeks for Publix to get in and fill my script with the one brand I specifically asked them not to. So, back to doctor? More money, more searching? I feel embarrassed. These various Walgreens treat people like criminals. I've never been in trouble for anything and now I'm made to suffer and sick (Actavis) from inferior generics. It's not a pain medication, which I realize has been problematic for pharmacies but, why punish everyone? Still suffering in Orlando.

After filling the same medication from the same Dr at the same Walgreens where they knew me by name I failed the Good faith criteria on proximity of Dr, pharmacy, my house? Because 1) I pass another Walgreens, Winn Dixie, and Mom & Pop place that Do NOT carry my meds or take my insurance, 2) don't fill anti-inflammatory every month when I'm ordered to take 2 months/off 2 due to risk on another diagnosis, 3) accused of filling early because pre new regs Dr wrote for 28 days. They were rude, obnoxious, refused to explain and stated I was now flagged in all 8000 some odd stores nationwide and report sent alerting DEA of their decision to refuse fill? One RPH can decide I'm at risk for diverting meds to the street, question my Dr's order, and not even be required to verify any of that?

Walgreens is a multimillionaire dollar company who got there on the coattails of the customers and how shameful and tacky to spit in the faces of those whose backs they climbed to get rich on. They are a disgrace to the profession of pharmacists and I sure hope folks stop shopping there and hit them where it hurts the most since money seems to be their only objective.

They practiced lax policies for years, worried about being rich and getting richer, violating laws even to do that and then try to recoup their losses and cover their rear-ends by turning away long-term customers? Not giving one minute thought to the pain and suffering they have inflicted on another human being? I hope the REAL pharmacists who take their education and humanity towards the sick move on and refuse to work for a company that treats the chronic sufferer in such a way without any kind of warning whatsoever.

They all know that the national shortage of some of these meds, the policy on pharmacies accepting NO NEW patients, the limits on what they can order and setting that aside for their regular customers make going elsewhere to get the meds virtually impossible leaving many patients with no medication and yet they don't care. I am 60 years old and had to postpone a knee replacement surgery last month fearing I would be left with no pain treatment due to a pharmacy deciding if I did or not and overriding a Dr's order a Dr who has my entire medical history not whatever was told to them. I hope some good lawyers pick this up in a class action suit and goes after them for discrimination and violating our rights to adequate healthcare.

They can't deny him service. They said ,"you're right." So what is the purpose? Also said that's like me coming in the store buying milk and Juice and being told I will sell you milk but not juice. Walgreens' bad customer service is going down the drain. Where do they make these rules up at? I think I need to have a lawyer look into this. I know it's discrimination in this somewhere. I said “By who?” Because he didn't explain so I went back and show pic with tip of finger cut off and was stab and beat all in police report and he was on vacation for a week, said I would have to talk with him. Why would I have to live through this every time I get my prescription filled? So I will never use Walgreens again. I told the woman the month before it was domestic violence, when the man ask I said it was from 5 broken ribs. 4 months before that puncture my lungs and bruised other, he said “That wasn't good enough.” I also have pic of my husband stab 14 times in same attack, almost died. Do I have to tell them every time why I need my prescription? Should I ask my lawyer what I can do?

After being denied the ** by the clerk, I requested to speak to the manager and was told that the only way I could purchase ** was with a driver's license. When I asked, "What about people that do not drive?" The manager replied that "they just can't purchase it". If this is Walgreens' policy, it is ridiculous. If it is the manager's policy, then he is about as smart as a box of rocks. Anyway, after many years of shopping at Walgreens, they will get no more of my business until I receive an acceptable explanation. After all, your computers accept other forms of ID.

I am a physician who prescribes medications through Walgreens. I have been very unhappy with their customer service this past year. As pharmacists are too busy giving flu shots, doctors and patients wait endless hours on hold. As phone calls are not answered in a reasonable amount of time by a pharmacist, physicians and patients are taking their business elsewhere. I simply cannot continue to support a company that is so flagrantly rude to physicians and patients. Walgreens should make a decision about whether they want to continue the business of filling prescriptions. If so, get sufficient staffing and don't take pharmacists away from the job of filling prescriptions.

I had been filling my scripts with Walgreens for years. Most recently the head pharmacist changed. She declined to fill my scripts based on the "GOOD FAITH" guidelines! When I asked her what that was and where I didn't fit in, she simply told me that she couldn't tell me and that she would not fill any of my prescriptions controlled or non, and that NO WALGREENS, A.N.Y.W.H.E.R.E. would either. Upset, I contacted corporate and asked what happened and what I needed to change to fit into their "guidelines" and was told that based on what the pharmacist decided (she judged me on her own prejudice) that I wouldn't be able to fill at any Walgreens ever again and that I should go to the competitors.

Thus they could care less if they lose a customer of many years just going on one person's opinion. She never called my doctor to verify my scripts. She never checked to see what chronic illness I have that required the medication prescribed. She just JUDGED me and decided to FLAG me. Walgreens has basically told me "** you don't come back." I have been getting ** and a few other meds filled at my same Walgreen neighborhood pharmacy for 9+ years now and they all know me by name. I just ran into an issue of them being out of ** and the same with all other Walgreens pharmacies in the area. They don't know when they will get more in stock so anyone trying to refill through them will most likely run out of their needed pain meds. They clearly let this happen on purpose through poor planning as they have a certain customer base that uses their store on a regular basis and fills their stock based on this. I went to Publix and was told Publix and most other pharmacies have the medication in stock and that this is a Walgreens issue. I've always been treated very well by my Walgreens’ staff but this lack of supply of what is now a Schedule II med seems a bit fishy to me - like they just don't want to deal with it. I will be switching over to CVS, Publix or Costco pharmacy soon if this keeps up. It looks like they may not want to keep many of their long term customers. They also said they had a partial fill in stock but could not partial fill my script due to new laws.

After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I was told it'd take one and half hour to fill scripts. I went back after two hours and it still wasn't done. Went back for A THIRD time, waited in long line again, and got my meds. They were busy so they had Walgreens staff helping out at the register. She handed me my package and took my money.

When I got home, there was nothing to measure the cough syrup with. When I called, the pharmacist that answered the phone said that 7.5 was half a teaspoon! I asked for another pharmacist and she said it was a teaspoon and a half! We're talking cough med with **! BTW, when I told the person answering the phone that I wanted to talk to a pharmacist because they forgot my measuring thing, she laughed and said "They always do that!". I am in pain management and had been using Walgreens for all of my medications which includes two different narcotics for over a year. Same pharmacy unless they were out of stock or did not have enough to fill. Two months ago I was told that this was the last time they could fill my pain meds because of new regulations but to check when it came time to refill. So, when I went in with scripts in hand, was turned away. I went to several other pharmacies and no one had it in stock. I took a chance and went to another Walgreens who told me “No problem. We will have it filled in about an hour.” That hour turned into five days of overwhelming hassle.

First they had to call the Dr., then forms had to be filled out and faxed back and forth, then the pharmacist decided that MY doctor was prescribing one pill with too high a quantity and the other should be a higher dose, and then he demanded my Dr's office to provide him my medical records!!!! HELLO, who the hell does he think he is to make these types of demands. My doctor is wonderful, caring and very astute in planning my treatments and to give me what I need to be able to function and perform daily. I was so furious. I took my prescriptions back and found another pharmacy. I was totally treated as if I was some drug addicted sleaze (I am 56 not some young girl looking to get high) and then came the final insult.

All this time that I had been filling my scripts there, I came to find out that they were overcharging me on my co-pay. Everywhere else that has filled my **, the co-pay has been $30. Walgreens always charged me $65. I feel that this is fraud on their part. I have heard that there may be a class action suit from others that this has happened to. I think you should be aware of the poor customer service at the LOOK boutique, Duane Reade,1350 Broadway, NY. I personally feel that I was unfairly treated and even directly discriminated based on national origin. On October 20th 2014, I went on a class trip with 27 students from the Atelier Esthetique Institute to visit this LOOK boutique.

I found the ANSR BEAM LED light with a sign on the shelf that item is ON SALE for $74 instead of regular $148. When I went to pay, the cashier (with long dark curly hair without a name tag) in a rude manner refused to charge the sale price, regardless that she let my classmate to buy it for $74 about ten minutes earlier.

The manager, Mr. **, explained that the sale was ENDED, took the sign down, and refused to sell the ANSR at sale price.

My question is for you: "How is this possible to sell the item to one student for the advertised sale price $74 at 7:30 PM and ten minutes later, at 7:40 PM, the sale was ended and the price went to $148 for ME?" I believe that this situation is not only demonstrating the discriminatory preferences because I speak with a foreign accent and my classmate speaks without the accent, but is also the violation of the US Retail Pricing Laws and Regulations.

In conclusion, as a result of this unpleasant experience, Walgreens has lost our business. Over 20 students decided to buy NOTHING at this location and left. The teacher, Ms.B (Oxana **), was also very disappointed because that the skin analysis computerized system was down and sales associate is lack of common courtesy to apologize. I wish that the customer service would be better at the LOOK boutique because there are many great items to purchase.

In my entire life, I have never encountered a business as unprofessional, unethical, dishonest, & deceptive as Walgreens. My mother & I have been customers of the Walgreens on Boonsboro Rd in Lynchburg, Va. I completely stopped getting any scripts filled at that store several years ago because of extremely judgmental & hurtful remarks made by a pharmacist named Jane. Much like many other Walgreens pharmacists, Jane overstepped her duties often & acted like she was a doctor. She denied to fill a script one time because she didn't think I needed it. Her ego is huge, & she is very uncaring & mean spirited to anyone she has deemed not worthy of medication. I quickly left the store & moved to another pharmacy, where I have encountered NO problems. But my mother remained at Walgreens & soon also became fed up with Jane's laws. Often Jane refused to refill her scripts, even for ibuprofen, claiming they were too early. However, they were never early & instead several days overdue. Either the woman is ignorant at math or being very difficult.

My opinion is the second because she seems to have fun watching people suffer. The very final straw with Walgreens happened recently when Jane defamed us to our dog's vet, stating very false and inflammatory remarks about us. My dog has seizures, & Jane refused to fill his seizure meds when my mother asked they be called there because the store is close to her house. Jane first claimed it was too early - clearly a favorite excuse for her. However the last script was for 30 days, & this new script was called in 35 days later. My dog had been out of his seizure med for 5 days & was at a high risk of seizing. But Jane clearly didn't care. Jane talked to the vet & told him VERY false & slanderous claims about us. This was a new vet, & he then refused to help my dog. Both my mother & I called corporate headquarters to attempt to file a complaint, but they clearly didn't care also & ignored us. My guess is they get lots of disgruntled calls from customers & just don't pay attention to them or help in any way. How unacceptable for a corporate headquarters of a company to treat customers with such disregard.

I continued to call corporate when they failed to return calls that they promised to make. One time, they said they dropped the complaint without even talking to us or telling us. Finally I talked to a rep that was rude & made every effort to defend Jane. How on earth can anyone defend someone that has clearly lied & caused harm to a patient? Apparently Walgreens does! Finally this rep told me that she'd get the pharmacy manager to call me, & she called today. OMG - what a complete joke that girl was!! It turned out that she is just another pharmacist at the same Walgreens where Jane works. From the start, she was extremely rude to me & my mother. She made several very false statements that blew me away because there is clear proof they are false. She treated us with no respect. Even though neither my mother or dog has ever gotten any scripts early or caused any problems for the pharmacy, this pharmacy manager (& clearly a friend of Jane) told my mother that she could never get a script filled there again.

My mother had already decided to move because of the pharmacy's deceitful & hurtful tactics. Still though, a pharmacy should NOT be allowed to ban a patient just because he or she has filed a complaint. Are they trying to scare other people away from filing complaints? Walgreens is by far the most unprofessional company in the US, & they need to be shut down. They were already punished by the DEA for selling drugs without prescriptions. Without a doubt, they need much further punishment for their inhumane treatment of people. Also, it is not acceptable & disgusting that corporate has such little disregard for the customers that have had problems in their stores. They need to take complaints seriously & at least listen to the customers without judging or defending their pharmacists that have clearly done something wrong. I am willing to bet this company will go under in the future. I have read too many horror stories of other customers trying to get needed pain meds filled, & it is sickening how much the company lies to not fill the scripts.

To anyone reading this, do not go to Walgreens for any need, unless you want to be treated like trash. And if you have been treated poorly, don't be surprised if corporate does nothing. Corporate doesn't care. A class action lawsuit is in the works against this company, & I hope that will bring some form of closure to all of the people that have been hurt. And to Jane the pharmacist, I truly feel sorry for you because you have to resort to such low tactics to make yourself feel better. You need to grow a heart & take basic math lessons again. My dog is doing great because I found a great pharmacy that cares about him. I tell everyone now, "Avoid Walgreens." And they are listening.

I asked what is the Good Faith Policy and she refused to tell me. But she did indict that she had the meds just would not give them to me. I informed her that she could call my husband's doctor to verify the script that my husband just had brain surgery about a month and half ago. She said that she refuses to call doctor. I went and spoke to the store manager (**) and I explained the situation and he called her. She informed him that it was that she just did not feel comfortable filling. Even though my husband's name is in their system and he has had in the past the med script filled before. I wanted an explanation and no one could give me one.

I asked the Manager what the good faith policy is and he would not tell me. So then I called the Walgreens 800# and the rep stated that they stand behind the pharmacist and the Good Faith Policy, again for the 3rd time I asked what is the Good Faith Policy and again no answer. Just that is Walgreens policy. The 3rd Walgreens I go to is in Deltona, Fl where again I am informed that due to the Good Faith Policy they will not fill the script. Again I ask what is the Good Faith Policy and again no answer. But this pharmacist did tell me not to bother going to another Walgreens because no one is going to fill my husband's script.

I feel like why are they operating as a pharmacy when they will not fill scripts. And why does the pharmacist able to override a doctor's orders, so why don't we just have pharmacist write scripts instead of doctors. And lastly I do not like how it has made me feel like a criminal when I am almost 40 yrs old and have never been in trouble a day in my life. As for Walgreens goes I will never step foot in one of their stores every again (and I have shopped at Walgreens for over 20 yrs) and I will tell anyone and everyone that will listen to me what they have done to me and my family. My husband had a brain tumor removal in mid Sept. of this year, so he has to live with pain till we can get his pain meds. Need a 24 hour pharmacy: read my story from tonight before you make your choice between Walgreens and CVS on Main St in Lebanon. This is the review I posted on Walgreens FB page. Actually if I could give a rating of 0 stars I would! Tonight at 5:30/5:40 I had left the emergency room with my 3 yr old son who's sick and running 104 temps for the past 5 days... Anyways make a long story short we had already been to Dr on Fri and today ended up at ER... I had one prescription for ** liquid that he needed filled! It was 5:30pm so the other location closed at 6pm on Sundays, so I came here (Walgreens on West Main) to the 24 hour location.

I pulled up to the window advised the tech that I wanted to wait for it but didn't want to come inside bc he was running a fever and miserable. She said “Give her about 15 minutes.” I said “Great, thank you!” I went and parked in front of the twin Red Box kiosks and sat there for about 20 min and went back to the line. When I got to the line there were 2 cars in front of me and we sat there for approx 40/45 min while they filled their prescriptions. By the time I got to the window to pick the medicine up it had been an hour since drop off, and bc of the waiting on the 2 cars in front of me there were like 4-5 cars behind me.

The lady (a different tech) advises me the prescription is not ready and that she will mark it waiting now and for me to circle back around and get in line. I advised no, I would not drive back around and explained the why! She walked away about 5 or so min later the pharmacy manager came on the intercom and advised I needed to circle around or come inside as she had other patients that was being held up bc I wouldn't go around... I tried to explain to her why I didn't want to go around and wait another hour or go inside with a very sick baby, yet she wouldn't hear it. She told me to move or she would call the police!

Finally I did move. I went and parked and took my son inside with his 103/104 temp by this time and my other 9 yr old son... and I get to the counter and put Brayden on it - the pharmacy mgr then says, “Are you Ms **?” I said “Yes ma'am, I am! Here I am, is the prescription ready?” She says “Yes, but it's not checked. I can't check it arguing with you!” I explained again that I just want the prescription. My son is sick I shouldn't have had to wait any longer or have to come in bc someone else messed up and didn't mark it waiting or get it done in the 15 min as promised. However it had already now been way over an hour. One bottle of liquid **, that's all! She brings the prescription over, puts it on the counter, says “You can take it somewhere else to fill.” I said “No I want the prescription. It's sun after 6pm and I shouldn't have to go somewhere else now after waiting all that time here.” She said “Well I'm calling the police.” She picked up the phone and calls Lebanon Police to escort me from the store with my prescription. I say “Don't bother” and left of course. What do you do then!

So I went across the street to CVS, pulled up an hour and 30/40 min after first dropping of at Walgreens and they filled my son’s prescription and were very nice and courteous, and within 5 min I was on my way home! Because of the service tonight, my son as sick as he was tonight and the whole situation, I will never do business with this location or any location in the future! I highly recommend that anyone needing a 24 hr pharmacy go to CVS on W Main right across the street and for that matter go to them period instead of Walgreens! I know I will! A huge thank you to CVS for valuing their patients and providing quality patient care!

I have no order no or receipt because the pharmacy told me to go to another pharmacy as she was calling the police to escort me out. The shift lead for the store was there to witness the events that happened once inside the store I had asked her to go with me to the pharmacy. There was at least 3 technicians there at the time in addition to the pharmacy manager. There was no store or asst store manager available. I had asked the pharmacy manager for the store manager while at the drive thru. She advised she was the only manager there and she was the pharmacy manager.

My 3 year old came home asking why the lady called the police to come get me. My 9 yr old was a bit shook up as well. I explained that police are good people. I am thankful to the couple in the car next to me in the parking lot that told me that we have another 24 hour pharmacy now and it was across the street and before Walgreens was our only 24 hour option. So not only was my son sick, he was then upset wondering why mommy was crying and why the lady was mean and calling the police to get his mommy!

I have never been in trouble and didn't intend to be tonight, but I was extremely upset by the situation tonight and I was emotional and who wouldn't be. To be told that she had other customers to take care of, and btw this is not the first time she has told me this - happened with my daughters prescription as well and I had to get the store manager involved to get the situation rectified! This pharmacist does not need to be working in direct patient care and that is something Walgreens needs to address immediately!

He understands his pain med is strictly for his back, however, he claims without it, he'd die. Says the pain he feels from the Neuropathy is equivalent to standing in a block of ice. His feet feel 'cold' like frostbitten feet may feel. And the pain med takes that 'coldness' away. So thank God he has this strong, pain med because without it, poor guy would be suffering 100% more so! We believe God will one day heal him. Until then, he has this and other Meds.

Okay. So WENTZVILLE, MO 24 hour Walgreens is our Walgreens. We moved here recently, 5 months. I've been picking up his prescription from the Dr.'s office, have taken it to Walgreens to have filled for pickup the next day. I make that a habit now because this Walgreens is incredibly disorganized. I've picked it up at 5am-7am. But today, I was informed I couldn't get it until 8am. I was told that's their policy. So if that's so, why was I able to get it in the past earlier? Then the guy tells me he should have a couple more days of Meds. Who does he think he is? Where's the compassion?

My husband takes his Meds 3 times a day, like clock work. Occasionally he is in so much pain, he takes 2. He may do this ONLY 3-4 times a month. Like if he has any appointments, he's on his feet, causing him double the pain. See, my husband was awarded early retirement from Chrysler due to his health problems. That's how bad Neuropathy is for him. Making things worse, the insurance allowed the script to go through today. So it comes down to this tech, a glorified pill counter, playing God. There isn't any compassion here. I was treated like a drug addict on the phone. I was talked down to. That pharmacist doesn't know my husband! He needs that pain med! We did nothing wrong.

Last month, he got his pain medication on Oct. 10th. Says so on the bottle! He argued and told me my husband got it on Oct. 11th... while talking down to me like he was better and we are some low-life drug addicts! All I know is what it says on the bottle. That's what I go by and more importantly, that's what the insurance goes by! This month, I'm having it filled today, Nov. 8th. 1 day early. 29 days since his last fill. October has 31 days, remember? Anyway, there wasn't ANY compassion whatsoever. Talked down to as if we are druggies! And that particular pharmacist I feel was trying to play either Doctor or God cause the insurance says he can have the Meds. The pharmacist wants to be in complete control it does appear.

The reason I try to get ANY meds early in the morning, is because if I don't act early, they get busy and can't handle the business. I've sat on hold for 30 min before finally hanging up. This isn't out of the ordinary either. This Walgreens is ALWAYS like this! Drive through takes more than an hour, most of the time, to get your business taken care of. You can't call to make sure your prescription is ready for pick up because you won't get through...unless it's early, I've found. So you go up there just to wait, JUST to find out if the script is ready. If it is, you've ONLY burned an hour waiting in line. Waiting that long isn't only the drive through, nope! It's an inside problem too!

So If your script is ready for pickup, great! If not, you'll be waiting for another hour, probably longer. I have never dreaded doing errands. When I know it's a day I need to pick up prescriptions, I ABSOLUTELY DREAD IT! I wish there was another pharmacy close by. There's another Walgreens 2 blocks away from this one. But they don't have a big inventory therefore I'm forced to go back to the terrible one. If CVS carries my husband's pain med, I think I'll be going there starting December. I just can't take Walgreen's employee's arrogance or time consuming issues any longer. If you live in Wentzville, I encourage you to find a more organized pharmacy...maybe CVS IS the answer.

I tried our new Walgreens. It's only been there a couple of months. I was forced to go to their pharmacy because my old Pharmacy couldn't process Medicare B. I spoke with Walgreens pharmacy first. He was curt but answered my questions. He did offer to get the info from my doctor for diabetic supplies. Told me to call them back later. I did and was told they were ready. When I got there it took them forever to process me as a new customer with insurance coverage and everything. When I walked up, the pharmacist was talking to a social contact it appeared. Didn't assist me and I waited for a clerk. I got my supplies and no one offered to explain anything to me. Parts were missing when I got home. I went back. The clerk tried to help but the pharmacist said I would have to call the 800 number for the company to get the missing parts. The pharmacist would not speak to me or assist in any way. I called a customer service number and she put me into contact with another Walgreens store that was willing to give me the missing parts and help me use the equipment if need be.

There's no excuse for that kind of unprofessional behavior of the first pharmacist. He filled the prescriptions for the supplies and took no responsibility for them at all and didn't care that I needed the missing parts. He claimed my doctor didn't send him a prescription for one part of the supplies but was vague about helping me get a reimbursement when she did. I paid for the lancets out of pocket. Other pharmacy did it several times. He just wasn't going to help with anything. It took another store to help get my parts and I wasn't even his customer.

For over a year Walgreens has failed to properly add completely fill prescriptions. On the bottles if you have 90 pills they will charge you for 90 pills and only give you 20-40 and cross out on the bottle the 2 given. They put partial refill available when it should be the full amount given. They charge you for all the pills at once and when you get the others they owe you they charge you again and the insurance company.

Oct 31 was to get a partial refill they owed due to either no more in stock, waiting on delivery etc,. insurance issue which the insurance company was never notified, computer down etc., online checking for progress states insurance issue. Called them Nov 2, computer problem, online said ins. issue. Finally spoke to druggist, admitted computer problem and one in stock. They owed my husband this medicine lyrica. He was having withdrawal symptoms and I explained this to them on the 4, again no pills, the 5th called ins. company, they never rec. request to look into it, said the prescription they were told by walgreens was not written correct by doctor. Have copy and it reads correct. Finally walgreens said they do have it but must pay another $230 or more to fill. Went to walmart, had it filled for less than $21.00. This must be stopped.

My husband went Walgreens to fill my morphine script. He came back and opened the sack. My script was filled incorrectly. My doctor had raised my dosage from 30mg to 45 mg and my husband called to check on it with the pharmacist. She treated my husband like he was stupid. She denied the possibility of having an error. Eventually, she went back to my account and stated that it was correct. I should've received a 30 and a 15 but there were no 15's so for me to "Just cut a 30 in half and that will work just fine". What she neglected to do was include the information that you CANNOT cut a ** in half. In doing that it changes the effect of the script of ** because it was time released.

I'm not finished yet unfortunately. She gave me the incorrect number of pills! I should have had 30 tablets of 30 mg PLUS 30 pills of 15 mg. and by following those instructions, I was beginning to see the bottom of the pill bottle way too soon because I was given only 30 pills. I never received the 30 pills of 15 mg. My husband and I started counting pills to see what the count was and it worked out where I was only able to have one a day, occasionally 2. During my next doctor's appointment he just about had steam rolling out of his ears. His added comment was "That could've killed you". We were very upset.

I have several factors that make this an even uglier situation; we were on vacation for one week and I was in bed the whole time because I was so sleepy and tired. It really knocked me for a loop! I didn't feel right at all. After coming home, I remained sleepy and tired. After finding out we hadn't been given the correct amount I was only able to take one a day, occasionally 2 for extremely difficult, painful days that left me lying around for another 3 weeks. I even went into some very uncomfortable withdrawal pains. I went back and forth from freezing to burning up and sweating profusely. The part I hated the most was when I was hot. I'd have random spots of freezing cold.

Another Walgreens pharmacist near our home read the script and let out a loud gasp when she saw we were supposed to cut those pills in half. That could've kill me. She said that those cannot cut, chewed, ground or any other form of mutilation. That becomes a whole different can of worms. I'm a retired nurse and we are VERY careful with medication. It is treated just like I was in the hospital administering pain meds to a patient. We also have it in an upper cabinet completely away from children. Walgreens should have a fail proof, secure system. The issue is not that a pharmacist or tech has now filled over 3 million, it's how many scripts were filled incorrectly or possibly killed!

After the first conversation with the pharmacist (that could not possibly made a mistake), the Pharmacy Manager would tell us one thing and then not follow through. At Walgreens, when a mistake has been made, an incident STAR report has to be filed. Not doing this has caused more than one Walgreens pharmacist to lose their jobs. We were told last Friday, October 31, 2014, that that report has been filed and a copy of that report would be sent to us. After 6 days, without receiving our copy, my husband called Walgreen’s corporate office and they assured us that there was NO STAR REPORT made. My husband called the pharmacy manager again to no avail. He was also told that we were not ever going to have a copy of it.

My husband got more information and different phone numbers to call. He called the pharmacist where the mistake was made and guess what he said? "I can assure you that report has been filed." My husband had already figured out he was a bit deceitful so he asked him, "When did you file out the report?" His reply was "I'm just now doing it." Other the wrong instructions on my script and insufficient amount of pills they gave me, this is just about 4 or 5 lies that had been told to us from two pharmacists. They just brushed us off like we didn't even count; AND WE DON'T COUNT is the hardest pill to swallow. Pun intended. Their I'm better than you attitude is not the way people should be treated when dealing with their health issues.

I've read a thousands of complaints about lots of issues, I'm sure other pharmacies have their pages too, but this is MY LIFE and they darn near killed me! My doctor said that, allegedly, some Walgreens are in big trouble for selling their overages out the back door. As I sit here writing this complaint form, my husband is on the phone trying to get someone to listen to us. We get "this is the wrong number for this", they have lovely recorded messages to hear, but we'd like to have a phone number where someone answers it during normal business hours. Miracles can happen, as I paused to construct my next comment, he finally got someone on the phone that we can hardly understand her (sorry, not trying to be difficult). This lady has just told my husband that this was just a minor incident! LADY, I COULD HAVE STOPPED BREATHING! Minor for Walgreens, major for me!

I had my tonsils removed this morning around 8:45 and dropped my prescription off at 12:44 PM and asked them to please rush the prescription because I was in pretty extensive pain. It took over 2 and a half hours to get a message letting me know it was ready for pickup, and upon arrival, after waiting over 15 minutes to even be greeted, I was told that it would be 101+ dollars. I immediately called my insurance company (Anthem) who told me that the cost should only be around 7-8 dollars for the generic and around 11 for the non generic version. I asked to speak with the pharmacist on duty and was rudely interrupted by an employee, who identified herself as "Lauren", and said "she would handle it". After explaining the situation to her and letting her know I was on the phone with member services, she walked away mumbling that "she wasn't aware I work for the insurance company" in a snide tone.

At this point I have been without medicine for over 5 hours, and the last thing I care to do is argue or be talked down to by one of your employees, I can hardly speak as is. After multiple rude comments I asked her for her name and she rudely gave it to me, spelling it slowly as if I were mentally handicapped. As I was walking away she proceeded to say "these are the type of people we have to deal with" and shouted "Be Well" in an extremely sarcastic tone. The fact she used the Walgreens slogan, their trademarked slogan at that, in a demeaning way speaks wonders for the true colors of their employees, their hiring process, and the ethics within the company. There were multiple other people behind the counter, none of which said a word to her. I went to CVS across the street and ended up getting my prescription within 30 minutes, and for a little under 10 dollars. Losing a customer is one thing, but losing all respect for a company is another. This experience left a very bad taste in my mouth and I want the situation rectified.

And the stupid thing is the manager came over and put the manikin back up on the shelf after it fell on me. I did not touch the shelf, I had candy in my hand looking at it when it fell. What if it was someone really old? A hit to the head the wrong way can really hurt someone.

On Friday October 31 I came to Duane Reade at 535 5th avenue to make a picture for Russian visa. I waited at a photo station for 15 min, looking around for someone to help. Even after I addressed pharmacist to help me find a photo specialist - I still had to wait until Elizabeth, photo specialist of Duane Reade, came. I explained to her the format of the photo I need, gave her the details of the scale required, told her it's for Russian visa- I even had a list with notes for her. But she wouldn't listen - she made American format picture she's used to make, and gave it to me. I told her it's wrong, It's not the format. She scanned the picture to the computer, found a template for Russian visa, made the picture smaller to fit the format. As a result half of my body was cut off!!! I told her it looks wrong, but she said nothing can be done- this is a format and sold me picture this way. The visa center did not accept this picture, so next week I had to go back to this Duane Reade to change it.

When I found Elizabeth, I kindly asked her to redo the picture. She start arguing with me I want something impossible and it lasted for about half hour. She called some help to prove me wrong, allegedly even spoke to manager. I am not sure the other lady who spoke to me was a manager, and she told me same thing. They finally agreed to redo the picture for me. All Elizabeth had to do - is move a little further to make sure my body below the neck is visible. Nevertheless she printed it in American format first though one computer, then scanned it to another computer. My question is - why not transferring picture to the right computer through cable on the first place? Moreover she made me do all the job scaling the picture to the Russian visa format, which was extremely easy to find in the computer. I did it successfully and she printed the picture for me. Then she claimed I have to pay for the wrong American format picture she had to print to scan in order for me to reformat it!!!!!!

I was shocked! By that time being talked down to by the ladies, wasted time on the whole humiliating process of explaining to alleged professionals, who are supposed to know better than me how the service is supposed to be done. Because it was 2 pictures printed - she said one is an exchange, another one I have to pay! I end up paying for the picture again $13.05. As a result - I was double charged, humiliated and put down to tears. Elizabeth and another lady were so mean to me that I don't want to deal again directly with them. It was a highly traumatic experience for me.

Simply put, I picked up my prescriptions and discovered that there were two different pills inside one medicine bottle... 7 different pills in my 90-quantity bottle. Yes! 83 oval pills, and 7 round pills. I called and spoke to the pharmacist who apologized and said he would find out if it was manually or machine dispersed, and tried to pacify me and asked me to bring the medication to him which I did and requested a call from whoever was his superior as he was hesitant to give me any contact information or names...

He promised someone would call me in the morning... This was 11/03/14. No one has called yet as of 11/5/14. I doubt he actually reported it. I want to let the world know... Scared for myself and many others who may have taken pills they weren't prescribed... As well as hold them accountable for insurance fraud... Shouldn't there be full disclosure of any variation of medicine dispersed to the patient???? I don't know how to proceed but I'm so upset and frightened.

I have been working for walgreens for about 1 and a half years, I was working approximately 38 to 39 hours a week. The last few months I had some family issues so I had requested certain days off since I do not have set days off that I could work around. Also I had to move my daughter off to college and my son was in the hospital. Since then I feel they are retaliating against me or something. They have moved me out of cosmetics, cut my hours back to 8 to 15 hours a week (if that last week they didn't even have me on the schedule). I also feel when I am there they have started treating me very rude and most of management doesn't even talk to me. Ever since I started working there I noticed that they have their favorites there and that certain people don't do the work they are supposed to and it seems I’m being told to do their jobs as well, while they sit in the warehouse or office talking or pretending to work. They keep adding more stuff for me to do while I’m there and if I don’t get it done I get scolded for it.

One day I had 3 couponers come through my line towards the end of the night. I wasn’t going to have time to face and count drawers and all the closing things that needed to be done. So I called the manager that night and he came over pissed off and yelled at me in front of the customers for not calling sooner. He had walked over several times so I figured he should have managed the situation knowing was behind and help me out. I am not the only one recently that have gotten this very same treatment and hours cut and they have also recently hired more people in the last couple weeks so I feel they are trying to get us to quit for some reason. If I was doing something wrong I would think that it would only be fair if they at least talked to me and told me what I was doing wrong so I can fix it.

Pain management patients beware! I have been on pain management since 1991. After my pharmacy was out of my breakthrough pain medication due to the D.E.A. placing restrictions on how much every pharmacy can get in a years time. So anyway I called around to locate my **. After calling at least a half a dozen pharmacies, I called a Walgreens, gave them my full name and date of birth. As anyone who takes **, it is a well known fact that a pharmacy will not tell you anything about these types of meds over the phone, which is why I gave them my info so they could look up my profile. I was told that they did in fact have my medication in stock and had the appropriate amount. I drive 20 miles, wait for 30 minutes, and then they call me to the consult window. The pharmacist who by the way was the same person I had spoken to on the phone tells me that they will not fill my prescription. When I asked why, and explained that I had talked to her on the phone, she then tells me it is because I also am prescribed **.

To make matters worse, when I get home I googled "Walgreens refused to fill my prescription" and to my horror, I find out that it is a new policy Walgreens implemented, and it gets worse. Because I was turned away for a legitimate RX that I've been taking for years and have had the same pain management doctor for many years, Walgreens then contacts the D.E.A. your doctor, and all other Walgreens! Therefore "blackballing" you as a customer! It turns out that Walgreens got fined 80 million dollars for filling bogus prescriptions. So their incompetency puts us pain management people under the scrutiny of the D.E.A. and our doctor, as if they are more competent than the doctor who wrote our medications in the first place! What ticks me off about this the worse is that this pharmacist pulled up my profile over the phone and could have prevented me from going there in the first place! I just called the head pharmacist at a store I use every month to fill my ** and explained this to him.

I expressed how livid I am about this and that it could've been avoided had Walgreens informed us patients/customers about this and that my profile was pulled by this pharmacist while I was on the phone with her, and why the hell wasn't this explained before I drove 20 miles out of my way to get a medication that I've taken for years. Now my doctor may change me to something that does not work. It's unjust! It is also a violation of our privacy! HIPPA? How many of us know will get pulled over by our local law enforcement, and even though we've taken these meds long enough that they do not cause us to be impaired, but with them knowing our prescription regimen, haul us in for a urine test and lock us up for driving. I'm almost 55 years old. I don't have anyone to haul me around to the doctors office or get groceries, etc. This is just one possible scenario. There is supposedly a list of 13 meds on Walgreens list, that according to the search I did, they are keeping secret. I felt like I was trying to pass a forged RX, at least this is how I feel. Maybe it's because I have long hair.

It really seemed to me that when she ran it thru my insurance and saw that I had a zero copay until 12/31/2014 because I'm in what is called the catastrophic coverage gap, due to being disabled with a Medicare Advantage plan. Either way, it's just wrong, period! My doctor would not write this if I did not need it. I guess Walgreens feels like they are more competent than my pain management physician. If they are so competent, why did they get fined 80 million dollars for filling bogus prescriptions? I guess now, their incompetence will get taken out on us patients that need these medications for being so unfortunate to have to live in chronic pain. If it were not for pain management, I would move to Oregon, become a resident so I would have the right to die in dignity by the right to doctor assisted end of life. We pain management patients need to stand up and fight this. It isn't right. I'm contacting an attorney to see if I can sue them. Maybe this is eligible for a class action lawsuit. All I know is that I feel violated for my not so good health.

We even had them transfer other scripts from her old pharmacy. Got a phone call the next day saying the scripts were ready. I picked them up. We specifically said to fill all of them at the same time which they didn't do. I figured the pain medicine was not ready yet.

I went to the Duane Reade pharmacy on Broadway, between Prince and Houston Streets in New York, having recently accidentally ingested a food that I was violently allergic to. It had been many years since I had such a reaction, and I didn't have my medication with me. I told the people behind the pharmacy counter that I was urgently in need of an **, due to an anaphylactic reaction. I gave them my doctor's contact info for the prescription and gave them my credit card. I wanted to take a ** to tide me over while they contacted my doctor, but they refused to give me water to help me swallow the pill, even though I explained that my throat was swollen. By then my throat was closing. I let them know I was in trouble and that, left without treatment, I could go into shock and die.

The pharmacist behind the counter still insisted that I fill out my phone number. The number they had in their system was an old number. The first few digits came up. There are three numbers in my family that begin with those numbers. My hands were shaking at that point, as I tried desperately to guess which number was coming up in their system. The pharmacist, Lillian, was standing there, coldly watching me suffer as she held the epi-pen which she refused to give me. I even tried to snatch it from her hand, but she pulled it away from me, in spite of my obvious distress.

Finally, she decided it would be ok to skip the phone number and gave me the medication. I administered the medication to myself. Once I felt better, I asked for the store manager. I explained the situation and asked him to speak to Lillian and ask her to apologize to me, so that I would know that she had learned not to treat customers so cruelly in the future. He refused to have her apologize. I don't believe that either one of them have any idea that they did anything wrong.

I have been taking ** for quite some time now due to multiple major shoulder reconstructive surgeries. The closest pharmacy to my home is Walgreens. Since my last surgery I have had NOTHING but problems with them, don't ever try and phone the pharmacy, they just ignore your calls... The last time I did I waited 45 minutes on hold only to be hung up on. I went to pick up my medication recently and was left standing at the counter while at least 5 employees chatted about how "tired" they were... The employees are flat out RUDE and overcharge those who are uninsured.

Most recently (with the new laws on **) I was given a paper script from my orthopedic surgeon. I took it to Walgreens and again after standing waiting for the techs to finish their chat about the weather, during the busiest time, 6pm.... I was told that they are sold out and had no idea when they would have any in stock. She then told me she has already called around to all the area pharmacies and no one has this medication (note I didn’t witness this call, she just said "I've already called around, no one has it").

I guess the government and their new laws didn't account that MD's would have to write the largest qty they could due to refills being denied. As of this morning I have changed pharmacies and will not return to Walgreens.... ever. They have to be the most un-customer friendly store on the planet. Good job guys and "Be Well."

This day has been infuriating, thanks to Walgreen's. I tried to call in a refill for the ** that I have been taking for 15 years, for bone-on-bone knees, kidney stone attacks, and arthritis in the spine - was told last Friday that the Feds changed the law to disallow refills, so I waited until Monday to get a new Rx from my doctor, who has been treating me for 2 years. I wish they had told me not to go to Walgreen's, because you have an outrageous new 12-step procedure you have to go through AFTER you turn in the new Rx. Not only is Walgreen's adhering to the new regulations, but have implemented their own STRICTER policy (what gives them that right??)!

Believing that I FINALLY will get my prescription filled, a pharmacist at Walgreen's tells me that "no, we have to call your doctor now," along with 10 other steps!!! What's next? Do I have to go pick the doctor up and bring him to the pharmacy to examine me in front of the pharmacists??? All this because thieves and addicts and crooked doctors are abusing the medicine that makes life tolerable for those of us who have legitimate pain issues - instead of penalizing all the honest and worthy customers, how about putting more cops on the force to find the abusers and arrest them?

Walgreen's is handling this like they are law enforcement, or as if they have people breaking into pharmacies and stealing pills, which is not happening! The new federal guidelines ONLY include no call-in refills, and your doctor can write 3 prescriptions only at a time, to be used one month at a time. This Walgreen's "12 Step" interrogation plan is ridiculous, and you will lose thousands of loyal customers because YOU ARE NOT THE GOVERNMENT, OR DOCTORS - YOU ARE DISPENSING MEDICATION; NOT WRITING PRESCRIPTIONS - SO STAY OUT OF OUR BUSINESS AND FOLLOW DOCTORS' ORDERS TO DISPENSE OUR MEDICATIONS! If I don't receive my Rx tomorrow, I am calling a lawyer and taking my business elsewhere. BUREAUCRATIC BALONEY!!!!

Sent script to be filled by daughter who is caregiver. Was advised won't fill, need to speak with doctor. I Have been on this medication for years.. Pharmacist Stated "I see doctor changed a medication and you filled it elsewhere." The pharmacist proceeded to put in system throughout Walgreen's "do not fill, doctor needs to approve" according to a worker there, advising me my doctor refused script. I stated "No way, my script is legitimate and how did the doctor disapprove the script in hand on a Saturday, didn't replace it with something else and let me SUFFER!!" MY PAIN IS SOOOO... BAD. And after he wrote it and I have not been changed from this med. fill, forcing me to not be able to get my script filled as usual. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. THE PHARMACIST IS PLAYING WITH PEOPLE LIVES THAT NEED THEIR MEDICATION. I'M NOT NEW TO THIS. IT HAS BEEN SINCE 1987 when I first was placed on pain meds following an almost tragic auto accident and many more after that, leaving me disabled. And continually and constantly in pain.

WHO IS THE PHARMACIST TO QUESTION THE DOCTOR CHANGING MEDS. WHAT ABOUT HIPPA. IF IT WAS A TRUE CONCERN THAT THE COMBINATION COULD HURT ME, SHE WOULD HAVE STATED THAT TO ME WHEN I ASKED WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM. SHE SEEMS TO HAVE LITTLE FAITH THE DOCTOR KNOWS HIS JOB AND HIS PATIENT OF OVER 19 YEARS. I went to several Walgreen's to get my prescription filled and was advised by all next week. That was unusual so I went back to the original one I always get scripts from and it came out that it was true, the gentleman said it was in the system the doctor disapproved and needed to be called on Monday, making me SUFFER and be without meds for two days.

I explained to the pharmacist I was out my meds. She was not concerned. This type of medication you shouldn't be without. My blood pressure has been elevated since I have not had my meds to take. She is causing undue pain which has elevated my blood pressure. Someone please help me. This is not the first time she did this. Its just the first time I did not have other means to get meds. She stopped my ability to get my meds from another store because she had questions that never should have been second guessed. Please help me take this to the proper channels so she can't and won't do this to no one else. Unwarranted!! My Health should not be spoken about without my permission to this pharmacist who is not concerned about the welfare of the patient and the oath that she took.

I really want to know what is so pressing to speak to the doctor about that don't bring into danger to the patient that she felt she needed to stop dispense throughout Walgreen's of needed and always received medication throughout the stores. That I submitted a accurately signed and filled out script date was to dispense by the 21 yet I proceeded to get by the 25 so that was right and not before time. Doctors numbers/signature in correct color located on script as always. I really need help with this because she hurt me more than she helped me at this point. Walgreen's need to pay attention to its patrons and their well being more and make sure they work at assuring needed medications are given.

She wanted to hold on to the script as though I stole it to call my doctor on Monday, yet not telling me what it was in reference to. Just that she saw the doctor changed my meds. I got them from next door to them. What is she saying, I can only come to their store? Even when they won't fill my scripts? WRONG! I got to only 2 pharmacies, Walgreen and next door to them. WELL" MISSY", THE DOCTOR IS AWARE OF THIS. ITS BEEN FOR YEARS. USE TO BE ECKERDS AND THE STORE NEXT DOOR ONLY!! SO... again why did you stop my meds.???? I'm now looking for another pharmacist to fall back out. I will not partake with Walgreen's again as long as the pharmacy's manager ** pretends to be concern. Sounds as though she just want to be nosy. Remember hippa and don't share my business. She not my doctor.

On 09/19/2014 I turned in a "rx" for pain medication (**) at my local Walgreens. They told me that due to their new policy they would have to contact my doctor to confirm the "rx" and that it would be up to 72 hrs to get a response. This was on a Friday and my dr. Office like many others are closed on weekends and to make matters worse policy dictates you can only turn in "rx" for controlled substance 1 day early. Normally this would not be a problem but at this point I was going to be out for 2 days.

The following Monday after inquiring about my "rx" I was told to contact my dr. To help speed up the process (keep in mind that I have never had to do this before). At this point my dr. Could not understand what the problem was and she would get back with me when she found something out. Now it is Tuesday and I call Walgreens and they say they are still waiting for a response from my dr. And that I should contact them. At this point I am thinking my dr. Is stalling for some reason but she told me that she sent the info Walgreens needed and DID not know what the hold up was.

Now it is Wednesday, or day 4 in pain, with no pain meds. I call Walgreens and they denied my rx because I DID not meet their "criteria!" Why? After calling my dr. Again and telling her what happened she told me to pick up the rx. From them and go somewhere else. CVS was happy to see me and have my business. If I read all these complaints right, Walgreens is going to "criteria" themselves out of a lot of customers and revenue! It is one thing to refuse service to a customer but to pass judgement that is just wrong.

So, I've been on the same regiment of medications for about 15 years, the same practice for 14 and the same doctor for 5 years. Among those medications is **. I've never had trouble filling this before but all of the sudden, it's a big hassle. I always check my prescriptions on Thursday evening and fill my weekly pill boxes. If I'm short, then I use the Walgreen app to refill via scan. The next morning the prescription is ready, usually by 10 am and I get a nice convenient text telling me I can come pick it up. So one week ago I did just that...and I never got my text/email telling me it was ready so it slipped my mind. When I ran out on Monday night (last pill was Sunday). I scanned the refill again. So Tuesday evening, when I hadn't heard from them, I dropped by. The Pharmacist, whose name is Chris, said, "sorry it's not in the system and it's a 'controlled substance' so I can't give you any partials" even though I told her that I had used the app and was now out.

Now, first off, she insulted my intelligence. Of course ** is a controlled substance, otherwise I wouldn't need a prescription. So are statins, antidepressants, ACE inhibitors, etc. and ** is on schedule IV. I might understand if we were talking about a schedule II drug. Anyhow, I asked her to please send a request to my doc so I can get that taken care of. Next morning (Wednesday morning) I drop by the pharmacy mid morning. They never received a reply from the doc and claim they sent the request twice. So the doc's office said they never got any requests, and so I had the doc fax them the prescription. The doc did that Wed afternoon. On Thursday morning the pharmacist (a different inhumane beast) said that they had to call the doc back to get confirmation. Great!! So now I wait for that. If I can get this prescription from them at all -- it will be the last time I ever darken a Walgreen's ever again. And I think I get about 5K worth of prescriptions from them every year. What a bunch of vicious, uncompassionate bureaucrats. Blech!!

Well, it seems that the poor clerks and pharmacists at Walgreens, my local Houston TX store, are under siege. Today Walgreens at the West Road location actually turned off their overloaded phone system. The phone system was actually made to hang up on everybody. When my niece went in to pick up my properly scripted prescription for Norco, she was greeted with "We don't know when we will get your prescription filled. We don't have any in stock and it may be two to three weeks before we get any in."

At this point it seems the only folks affected by this law are the prior consumers of **. Now the drug stores are treating us like criminal drug pushers. I realize that there are a lot of people in the drugstores now with improperly scripted (non-triple script) requests for Schedule II drugs. But what about us legal folks? We still have the same pain we had prior to October 6. I am a cancer surgery patient with chronic pain. Now the DEA in all its wisdom and power has decided we are all potential illegal drug users who, regardless of need for the pain meds, are all wild-eyed drug abusers. This is not the case.

So here we are with millions of dollars being taken off the table for the major drugstore chains and others. And, so far, it seems that the drug stores are simply participating in the rollover and punishing legally scripted patients. I have dealt with Walgreens for fifteen years. Talking to the harassed pharmacist last night and then again this morning, it was evident that they were in a siege mentality. The pharmacists would only repeat the party line saying things like, "Do you want your script back?" or "We don't know when a shipment will come in of the **" or "We realize you are a long time patient and we understand what you are going through but we can't prioritize anybody's script!" .. Actually I feel sorry for the workers as they are being made to withstand an incredible amount of pressure. I hope that all the major chains will realize they have just hung a yoke around all employees' neck by not having a workable plan in place for implementation on October 6th.

I get disconnected from the customer service store link as well. I finally contacted customer service through the 800 phone listing and reported the phones not working...that is after another 10 minutes of being on hold. The representative tried to transfer but could not connect either, she said she would email the problem. After waiting several hours, I tried my store again...same issue, no connection. I even called another local Walgreens and had the same outcome, their lines aren't working either. So, my thoughts of local phone line outages proved wrong because this other location in another city is down as well. Again, I called customer service and after waiting 15 minutes they finally said the phones were down. Well, just found out from my neighbor this is not the first time their communications have been down.

It's now 2:45 pm and phones are still not working. If their phones are down...at least find a way to let the public know! It's even more frustrating to sit there and listen to the long winded ads hoping for connection, then go through all the prompts to be disconnected...totally rude and inconsiderate...then have the nerve to tell us to "be well" but cannot fill out prescriptions. Thank you for the temporary hope Walgreens. Our family has been using this location for years, relocated to CVS since Walgreens stopped Anthem but transferred back when started taking our insurance again. I am writing from Greenville, SC. On Friday, October 17th, my 61-year-old husband had extensive oral surgery, including the pulling of four teeth and the implanting of bone grafts in those four locations. The periodontist said he should expect to be "in quite a lot of pain," given the depth of the roots, and the length of surgery and gave me a written prescription for Norco. I went to my local Walgreens on the way home, with prescription in hand, and the pharmacist said, "Oh, that has been back ordered." "Well, my husband JUST had surgery," I replied. "When do you expect it in?" She blithely replied, "Oh, it could be months and months. I don't know." I felt panicked. I asked if any other Walgreens, in this city of 300,000 might have it in stock, told her that he needed to take it immediately, according to the doctor. Her reply was, "No, every Walgreens COUNTYWIDE is back ordered. PLEASE DRIVE ON."

How could this be??!! I was, quite frankly, astonished. I did indeed call EVERY Walgreens and was given the same vague story. The doctor's office was closed, it was late Friday, and my husband spent the weekend in great pain taking massive doses of Advil to try to alleviate the suffering. I find it INEXCUSABLE that we were not given that no explanation was given, no substitute advised, or any help provided AT ALL. Neither of us abuse drugs of any sort, and this is EXACTLY the kind of surgery that NECESSITATES a pain medication, simply for humanitarian reasons if no other. Had we known no pain medication was available, we OF COURSE would have postponed the surgery. Walgreens is no longer going to be our pharmacy, thereby losing hundreds of dollars a month in various prescriptions, all non-narcotic, for the two of us. However, that will not mitigate the suffering my husband endured.

I am a 9 year chronic pain sufferer with very bad lower back degenerative joint disease. Following a number of unsuccessful invasive therapies, I was prescribed a ** therapy for pain control. I have seen the same doctor the entire time, and have always "followed the rules" in my narcotic use (no "doctor shopping", taking the medication as prescribed, etc.). The Georgia State Assembly on 10/6/2014 adopted a change in the classification of ** preparations from Class III to Class II, following Federal Law which did the same. The Georgia State Law clearly allows any ** preparation prescription refills to be honored, as long as the ORIGINAL prescription was written and initially filled prior to 10/6/2014. OK, so far so good. I last visited my Pain Management physician around the 1st week of August, 2014, and was given my routine ** prescription, which had 2 refills. I had my prescription filled on or about 8/18/2014, had my 1st refill one month later on 9/18/2014.

Today (10/18/2014), when I phoned my neighborhood Walgreens (whom I've used for at least 5 years), I was informed by the pharmacist that due to the law taking effect, I could not have my 2nd refill honored, and that I would need to bring a new 1 month prescription from my physician. This caused me a fair amount of concern in that I had planned to leave for a week's vacation to the beach the following morning, and my interaction with the Pharmacist had taken place at 5:30 p.m. on a Friday evening, completely removing the option of seeing my physician to obtain a new prescription before my trip. My long awaited beach trip was starting to look a little less enjoyable.

After carefully researching the language of the law, I called her back to point out the apparent misunderstanding of the law and she then told me that, while I was correct in my interpretation (well thank you, I already knew that), Walgreens had opted to not "upgrade their software" to allow for these "grand-fathered" refills to be filled. "Corporate policy" I was told. I immediately contacted Walgreens’ Consumer Line and spoke to a very nice representative who told me that it was NOT Walgreens’ policy to willfully ignore these prescriptions, and that my refill must have been denied at the discretion of the Pharmacist. So I called the Pharmacist back to inform her that Walgreens seems to have no such policy of ignoring the provisions allowed in Georgia State Law. She checked with her manager and told me very plainly that Walgreens has elected to NOT program their system to recognize these refill requests. And that was that.

So here I am, as I'm sure MANY other Walgreens’ customers are, with a completely valid yet totally useless refill for my ** preparations. No medication, a bad back that I wouldn't wish on my ex-wife, and no recourse whatsoever to remedy this situation in a timely manner. So in my opinion, Walgreens, AS A CORPORATE ENTITY, has elected to completely circumvent Georgia State Law, inconvenience untold number of patients, and has indeed caused unneeded pain and suffering for myself and I'm sure many others. I plan to explore a legal response to this unbelievably callous attitude from a company whose motto is "Stay Well". But for the time being, all I have is: SCREW YOU, WALGREENS!

Well five hours later Walgreens called back to inform me that I can no longer get my prescription filled there because I don't meet their "good faith" policy guidelines. I asked the pharmacist why, what had I done and she said she wasn't allowed to tell me. I asked her who could I speak to and she stated no one because they don't have to tell me. I'm completely disgusted by Walgreens and I can't believe this happened to me. I have never done anything wrong and I have a legitimate prescription. I have never abused any substance in my life. I don't understand how they can do this to people.

I was going to Venice, Florida Jacaranda store for past years when relocating to Venice, FL. I own a mobile home at ** that rent out. I had a problem last week and went to my pain management doctor including the police to report an incident I experienced. My doctor had to write an additional prescription for the month of October. I went to the Jacaranda location and the normal pharmacist that knows me called the Center Rd. pharmacy and sent me there because he could not fill it. I go to Jacaranda monthly around the 18th of each month. Dropped my prescription off and told it would be ready in 1 hour.

I received a call from your pharmacist ** from Center Road on a voicemail, "he could not fill my prescription today" and wanted my oncologist's name, etc. I explained at the present time I only see a pain management doctor and a primary doctor. He violated my privacy rights per my attorney. He also told me I could never get my prescriptions filled at a Walgreens that I did not meet Walgreens criteria but would not explain WHY? I have valid credentials. I was treated like a convict. Now I have left a message for the Jacaranda location to see if I may return?

If I need to meet Walgreens criteria I have it. Please call me. **. My attorney has indicated I should not be treated like this. And I should be able to return to my regular store. I am a former open heart surgery nurse and realize Pain Management is not favored. This is a discriminating issue with your pharmacists and violation of rights to the patient. All I want to know if I may return to the Jacaranda store location and continue my customer relationship. My doctor has even said ** was rude and out of line.

I have been using the Walgreens in Eustis Florida for 7 years now. I have had a lot of problems with my son's medications either not being ready for weeks at a time or else they will split the medication into smaller doses than what the doctor wrote for and make me pay my co-pay 3 & 4 times for the same prescription. They have really gotten greedy with how much medicine they will mete out to us at once, and worst of all they held my pain medicine script written by the same doctor same drug for 3 days claiming they needed to call the doctor to get confirmation even though I have refilled it at their store for years, then blamed it on some new policy! My "new policy" will be to find another pharmacy. Btw I spend a LOT of money at that store, but no more.

My oh my. The spin these chains are putting on their refusal to refill valid Rx for ** after the DEAs new ruling has gone into effect shows how little these chains care for us consumers and how much they can & do try to control whatever they can in pursuit of the almighty $$. Walgreens pharmacist told me-- "I can't refill your prescription because of me DEA ruling." To which I replied, "yes, you can because the new DEA ruling allows for refills of Rx already in the system as class II until April 8, 201." She then replied, "we don't know if state of Texas will be in alignment with that ruling so we need to wait & see." "Hmmmm, I looked it up on Texas website where it says Texas will follow the ruling as written." She added that the big chains had checked with each other & decided not to honor the refills since their systems can't handle the new requirements.

"I knew it!! I worked for Fortune 500 company & the only thing that would motivate not refilling and thus taking our money would be that the cost of new staffing, etc to give us our refills with all the new paperwork WOULD COST MORE THAN YOU CHAINS STAND TO MAKE ON THESE REFILLS," "Well," she added, "I can't refill your Rx for **." I added that her comment was a half truth, "you can't, because Walgreens won't let you, not because of the law."

I'm sure it is hard for a big chain to make changes in their system to accommodate the DEA ruling, but why do chains get to decide which bits of the law they are going to honor? The DEA gave chains an out on this one, but I'm sure the chains want us to think the DEA is the bad cop. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for finding ways to keep drugs from falling into the wrong hands but surely they could figure another way to do it? Why harm those of us with real pain from multiple surgeries or accidents or whatever defect causes chronic pain making life very difficult? Why did the DEA allow "only" 45 days for implementation/compliance by everyone involved? Hmmm, the DEA says they usually allow 30 days for most changes to be implemented. And the bickering goes on, but mostly by us who are harmed/affected by big chains and the DEA's bad ruling. Shame on you all.

Once at home, we discovered that the pharmacist had just taken someone else's script and put my stepson's name and info sticker over top. My husband called the 800# and was told to call the pharmacy manager and that they had no way to contact individual stores. My husband protested knowing they would give him the run-around. I waited all night and they were not filled. I went into the store the following morning and they told me it would be an hour. My 6 year old and I waited for an hour. Then the pharmacist called us up and told me that I no longer fit their criteria and that they would not fill them. Ever again. I use the same doctor, there have been no changes in my prescriptions. I get them filled on the day they are due. I had back surgery in mid July and I am so not amused. Since I do not fit their criteria for medication any longer, my money no longer fits their criteria either. And we used that store for everything imaginable. There were times we spent money there more than 4 times a week. Bread, milk, personal products, cigarettes. No longer. Luckily I found another pharmacy immediately, but I still went 24 hours without anything for pain.

The doctor's office spoke to the pharmacy and I contacted the 800#. I was told I would be contacted in 2 days. On 10/3/14 I went to Walgreens to speak with the Pharmacy Manager who said that this is the first she is hearing of this. I was infuriated. She did offer to give me my co-pay back as a refund but that is not my main concern. What is most important here is that my son has been suffering due to Walgreen's mistake. I did contact the 800# again today who assured me that the email had been sent on 9/30/14 to the Pharmacy Manager. This matter is now being escalated to the District Pharmacy Manager and I was told I would get a call back in 3 business days. I am awaiting the call to see how Walgreen's plans on handling such a serious situation. This is also a matter in which I will be seeking legal consultation.

Ever since the implementation of Walgreens 'Good Faith Dispensing' program that has pharmacists second guessing Board certified pain management Doctors, it has become a nightmare getting prescriptions filled. What's especially bad is when ones prescription plan is Walgreens since my spouse is a manager with nearly 20 years and I am disabled due to several painful autoimmune disorders including mitochondrial myopathy, polymyositis, Addisons disease, as well as degenerative disc disease and severe arthritis in both knees. I have been on various pain regimen for 10 years with no issues until this asinine policy was put in place. Because of policy changes within Walgreens, pharmacists now report directly to the manager. My partner has the misfortune of having a very antagonistic relationship with the head pharmacist and he has used this policy as an excuse to get back at my partner by saying he is no longer comfortable filling it.

He had filled it prior to the policy. My spouse brought it to the attention of the pharmacist district supervisor who said he would fill it just this once but never again, not addressing the fact it had never been an issue before or why it was being an issue now. When the prescription was reissued, I actually called him to see if he would tell me that and I recorded the call (allowed in Texas) and he flat out told me he did it only as a favor and wouldn't fill it again as for possible ramifications. I was told I was lucky he hadn't entered it in the Intercom Plus (an internal Walgreens system) as a denial or no Walgreens pharmacist would fill it. Now I have a Walgreens pharmacist who will fill it but can't or isn't allowed to carry the quantity in stock. He is allowed to order it once I bring the prescription.

He orders all new meds just once a week. I brought it in and was told the order was placed the day before. It would be 7 days before it was in. 7 days of massive pain, sleepless nights, even taking ** and a new muscle relaxer with a built in sleep aid. I slept a total of 19 hours over those 7 days. My spouse went to pick up my prescription and guess what. It didn't come in. Now I am supposed to wait 7 more days. I don't have the option of going elsewhere as we are STUCK with Walgreens since they force us to use them. Tomorrow I file a complaint with the Texas Insurance Commission, Illinois Insurance Commission, Texas Attorney General, my Congressman and Senator. I am in so much pain that killing myself seems my only option, thanks to Walgreens actions and incompetence.

I've been associated with a lot of other pharmacies but NEVER one as bad as Walgreens. Just had my prescriptions transferred to Walgreens by the pharmacy they bought out (a private pharmacy). Had more problems since that transaction than ever in my life. Couldn't even talk to anyone today on the phone to get a refill. Stayed on phone for about 30 min, cut off twice and finally had to get in my car and drive to the store. Talked to the very young pharmacy mgr, and she said no one else can I talk to about the LOUSY service. Can call the 1-800 # but the complaint will just come back to her to inform her of the problem. There is not enough staff to handle their problem & the young mgr. can't do anything and said they have already told her they won't hire anymore personnel to correct the problem. I'm probably going to transfer my business to another pharmacy. Don't know where because I understand CVS is just as bad.

I was retaliated against to the point I was forced to quit. I became very ill, mentally and physically. I believed in the pharmacy America trusts and never imagined something like this could actually happen. Especially at 57 years of age. I have become an activist against workplace bullying. I attended the shareholders' meeting last January in Chicago. I shared my experience and the CEO, Greg Wasson, said Walgreens has zero tolerance for retaliation and invited me to speak to the human resources president, after the meeting. I did and was introduced to a corporate attorney. He promised to get in touch with me to reach a resolution. I had to finally call him, only to have him try intimidation by calling me a liar. Walgreens is unethical and ruthless. Definitely not the corner of happy and healthy. I plan to continue public protests and WILL be at the next meeting. Nobody should endure the pain I have suffered at the hands of this horrible corporation.

It's ridiculous and I believe dangerous and life threatening especially when it comes to people's meds that they need or could die. There should be no excuse for mistakes or there shouldn't even be any mistakes when dealing with people's life. A vending machine can do their job better.

I went back to work in December and the Walgreens is on my way to the office, making it convenient to purchase refills. So I transfer my prescription and the co-pay is $7.00, not a problem.

I lost my job a month ago and lost my insurance. I went to Walgreens to get the same prescription and the lady behind the counter (not the pharmacist) tells me the prescription is $137.00. I asked her to double-check and she comes back with $89.00 if I buy the $20 Walgreens savings plan. I point out to her that the prescription is advertised in the low cost list for $7.00 (I assume more for the 120 tablets). She say she cannot find it. I cancel the prescription, take it to Walmart again, and I am back $18.00 with no insurance and no saving club fees. Now I have to look up my medical expenses and see what was the insurance company was been billed for! Even when the ** (Generic) is advertised by Walgreens at the low price, the pharmacy still wants to charge an exorbitant amount.
