Submitted a prescription and verified full amount was available. Picked up partially prescription, was told that's all they had in stock. Refused partial, split the script with another Walgreens location. Submitted balance of script to next store and verified they had it in stock. Arrived to pick up prescription only to find another partial. Was told it is my insurance that limits the amount. An antibiotic that has now cost more in fuel alone than the drug itself. I have made my last trip into a Walgreens, anywhere.

I currently live in Tampa FL due to my current job, but my permanent residence is in North Carolina. I have had to go above and beyond to prove I currently live in Tampa with the Walgreens on Gandy Blvd and Westshore, and recently heard that they will not fill any rx for me including my pain medication from my pain management doctor, as I've had 3 back surgeries with possibly another on the horizon.

I was told they can't fill any prescription as I don't have a FL driver's license, even though they've copied my passport and utility bill. I don't know what to do as I'm here for 3 more months. I have never been so mortified before and was told by them I should try hypnosis as her husband helps in pain management since my dosage has increased. What do I do? Is it true that this is a corporate Walgreens issue or a local pharmacist???

Stupid discount card. When I entered the phone number correctly, it did not take and I ended up paying 50 PERCENT MORE for the product. 50 percent. MAJOR RIP-OFF. Come on - I'm in their system. They have all of my information, and still I don't get the discount. I don't see the need for this phony discount crap anyway. Why don't they just give you a low price to start with. There are other stores I can shop at that don't use the spyware.

Who's doing anything about these many complaints about Walgreens??? Walgreens also rob customers. I know back in 2009 I was freakin robbed by them. They also falsely accuse customers of thievery and all kinds of things and then turn right around and do the very same thing and they freakin get away with it. Complaining about does nothing. So what in the hell is the point. They also refuse to get products in that I and others request. They know nothing about the co.(s) or products they are freakin selling.

If a staff person is rude they do nothing or they stand up against the customer complaining and they make threats against the customer, it was done to me several times. If I could and wasn't soooo damn poor, I would sue them and many others. This is bullying and it is not just kids that are being bullied, it's all and no one has to take it. Any store that does this to any customer should be close down and held accountable until things are set right. That includes websites like this one. You know us, who are you???? I had to make an account just to put this here. And it has private info.

So again and who are you and why must I and others have to set an acct. just to put a complaint in about Walgreens???? United we stand, divided we fall. Public where are your rights and will you all keep taking this? Complaints are enough and my experience is always ignored. So are you going to take it and keep taking it and let the ** mistreat us and steal from us or will you bubble people, do nothing and some of us remember don't have a voice and it's not just kids. United we stand, divided we fall. STOP THE ABUSE AND BULLYING AND DON'T FORGET YOU CAN BE NEXT IF YOU DO NOTHING. We are all family and I mean all. Become the solution, don't ignore and become the problem. It's up to all, it's up to you...

The new Pharmacist that started working at 200 West SR 436 and Wymore Road a few months ago is the most condescending, sarcastic, disrespectful and unprofessional person I've ever encountered there or anywhere. She seems to have a power trip and has no respect for loyal Walgreens customers. I've overheard her interact with other customers and she is the absolute worst! Her attitude and demeanor are best suited for the DMV, not a neighborhood pharmacy like Walgreens. I would NOT recommend anyone spend any money at this location until they clean house in the Pharmacy staff. I wish I remembered her name but she's the only afr.am. female Pharmacist there. She has the most disgusting attitude and she violated my privacy making these horrible and untrue, claims about my Rx activity. PLUS with another Pharmacist they recently hired shorting my Rx amount of pills in a previous visit, this Walgreens has turned into a disgrace.

I decided to count my pills after having a sched II script filled there in July and found I was shorted by 5 pills. After being a faithful customer for several years I now regret every dollar I've spent there. The worst part is, the store Manager and Walgreens' Corp. allow their Pharmacists an obscene amount of decision-making power and control and they are not held accountable for their mistreatment of customers, no matter how egregious! I've filed a complaint with Corp. but was dismayed when I was told how Walgreens may or may not even contact me since they trust their Pharmacists make the best decisions and are not doing it out of malice.....in my situation I beg to differ!

Last week in front of other customers and Pharmacy staff, the Pharmacist (only black female) made false claims about me Rx shopping and lied about my filling "several" scripts at a Publix recently. She stood there shaking her head and refused to listen to me, emphatically stating she recalled speaking to Publix after I requested my Rx to be transferred there. I told her that was untrue and was immediately panicked that my info had been shared and/or used so I asked for the Publix phone number and the person she claims she spoke with. I never ever authorized an Rx transfer ANYWHERE and the only time I filled at Publix was a month prior when I went to that Walgreens first and SHE was on staff and actually informed the counter clerk they did not have my meds in stock. So I went all over town until I found a Publix that did have it. I called the number she gave me but it was not Publix, it was a Target! And the Pharmacist's name who she was so sure she spoke to was also incorrect, there is no "Mary" there!

This rude woman stood there at the counter and stated with all certainty while looking in her computer that I've been filling my scripts at various other pharmacies recently and she remembered this phone conversation with Publix Pharmacy. Even when I asked her many times if she was sure about this info she kept shaking her head with the sickest smirk on her face telling me "Oh no, I see it right here. Oh yes, you've been to Publix and had scripts filled there several times recently and since that is against Walgreens policy we can no longer fill your Rxs here anymore. I'm not going to argue with you about it." I pleaded with her to give me more info about the alleged script transfer, when it happened and even asked her to check her system again explaining how I'd come to them first before having ONE script filled at Publix a month before. And how other than that script, I have gone to that Walgreens each month like clockwork with the same scripts from the same doctor for the past year or so!

I should not be penalized for going elsewhere when they are unable to fill my script because they don't have it in stock! She seemed to enjoy embarrassing me in front of the other customers and store staff and refused to listen or give me the respect I've earned as a customer there. As I walked out I asked her if this ban would apply to all Walgreens and she replied with that same sick smirk and sarcasm - "It will." I have never experienced this type of behavior and unprofessionalism from anyone at this pharmacy before now. I have been spreading the word so that people are aware of how Walgreens does NOT value their customers and allow their Pharmacists to treat customers however they please without repercussions or accountability.

It seems Walgreens is having issues at our local facility in Hillsborough. They are gaining a reputation with locals caused by a disingenuous staff in the pharmacy dept. I've been shorted on the count of class 2 narcotics filled which I then learned to have filled elsewhere. Lately there have been nothing but delays in filling anything other than generic prescriptions. Family members taking meds that require daily dosages to avoid seizures are delayed. Walgreens answer is to send prerecorded messages stating they need to contact the prescribing physician - which is false. The physician called them days before to avoid a gap in usage. Needless to say they are either inept at logistics or just don't care.

Not all Duane Reade do this but both the Duane Reade 1 on Columbus circle 58th street (worst) and the 1 on 57th street 8th ave being second worst, they do a lot of unnecessary following people around. I'm ok very ok of the numerous cameras there to watch out for potential shoplifting but they over do it by following people and making customers feel scared to shop there. They are putting people in the spotlight when they do that. I will not shop at these stores anymore, it felt like racial profiling. It should stop, someone should do something.

My husband and I decided to switch to Walgreens since moving into our first home. Previously we had used CVS but upon moving we were very disappointed and disgusted by the way the pharmacist was treating his customers. Needless to say Walgreens seemed to be better. When did all pharmacy employees become so bitter and accusatory??? Over the past 3 years my husband has been through numerous hospital stays along with many medication changes. He began getting so uncomfortable dealing with the staff - I began getting them for him and saw first hand their behavior.

My last encounter was not serious at all but just to let everyone know, I dropped his prescription off FRIDAY to be picked up a little after opening (we had plans to leave town!!!) Monday!!! Of course at 9:30 it wasn't ready. Really. Our last name is **. I specifically told the rude TECH I would be there that morning. PHARMACISTS AND PHARMACY TECHS get over yourselves!!! You don't have to be so judgmental just because of how someone is dressed or looks. Many men work hard to support their families and get dirty doing it!!!! I will not use Walgreens pharmacy anymore and will be spreading the word!!!! I easily boycotted CVS. Now it's your turn. You should take your complaints seriously!

Compliant with FL laws, Pain Mngmt, & all levels of narcotic use for spinal cord injury, repair & progressive diseases; I've used Walgreens, Tampa, FL, Busch & Armenia Ave, over 30 yrs. Having weathered & navigated several months of, "truck not in for a week", "first come first serve", "not enough in stock, so you'll need another prescription", & " Pharmacists can independently decide which rx to fill, per their comfort level", this week hit the final nail flat! My husband, as usual, went to drop off a script, due 8/31/14, 2 days prior to the fill date, to ensure availability for fill on Labor day-due date. A floating Pharmacist from the Temple Terrace store (seemingly a Manager), advised him that this dosage would no longer, EVER, be filled there because the "store could get in trouble" and "all kinds of flags go up".

Furthermore, my husband was told that a specific different, stronger, narcotic I've taken for years (we weren't attempting to fill), needed to be "increased in strength" by the doctor"; or, "the formula should be changed". My insurance has authorized my medicines, historically with no communication to the contrary. This RX submitted had been increased by 1 pill per day (authorized 2 months ago), by my Physician & Humana, in lieu of what this Pharmacist said must be done. My doctor & I had discussed the matter already. Is it legal for a pharmacist to override a physicians orders?

This Pharmacist added, "in my store, if we know a patient takes certain medicine we make sure it is there". WELL...my pharmacists attempt to accommodate my standard monthly prescriptions in a timely manner. If he had reviewed my history, perhaps he would have seen that they do and perhaps WHY. It shouldn't be my job & I shouldn't have to pay an extra Dr. appointment fee or what else may be required (again) for an unexpected and arbitrary decision by any pharmacist in disagreement with my doctors; especially "to keep the pharmacy out of trouble".

I will now wait, with much stress, until my regular pharmacy staff is available after the holiday ends; and possibly do without medicines, suffer more, re-arrange transportation availability, cancel other appointments, wait until the physician's staff is available to help and pay extra money out of pocket (again) to, hopefully, remedy this situation. These costs decrease my funds for other pain relieving procedures & tests. I'm a disabled Senior Citizen, not a junkie. Just what do legitimate pain patients with serious conditions which cause severe and chronic pain do so that pharmacies respond with the PRESCRIBED CARE by a legitimate physician? I understand they must preserve their licensing. I must preserve my life and the limited quality of it! Some preservation of dignity would be appreciated. The order # is last Month's because every month I must provide a new prescription.

My husband & I have been using Rainbow City Walgreens pharmacy for several years. We have never had any trouble with anyone, in fact all the employees was impeccable. A couple of months ago, a new pharmacist came on board, and it has been a terror ever since. She has went out of her way to be very disrespectful to us, and never tries to assist us or help us. My husband went in 2 days ago to pick up refills, and had a question about one of them, and she told him if he didn't leave the store, she would call the police. She was continually telling us she was the PHARMACIST MANAGER. Her name is COURTNEY. We spend a lot of money at this store every month, but need to change Pharmacies, as we fear she could even tamper with our medicine!!!

Well for a few months there was a night manager who at least twice asked me did I shoplift. I was appalled. It was the Walgreens right across the street from me at Royal Palm and Riverside dr. in Coral Springs, Florida. Then some weeks later I was ambulanced to the emergency room at 5 am because I was going to drive my husband to work that morning, I wasn't fully awake and went to boil water for coffee, it must have been boiling for a while because when I grabbed the plastic handle, it scalded my hand and caused my reflex to toss it and then the scalding, boiling water landed on my other hand. I was in excruciating pain, couldn't even drive to hospital as I didn't want to remove my hand my cold running faucet as ea. moment I tried I was in pure agony.

So that morning a friend came by. I was still in pajamas and all wrapped in gauze, probably looked like hell lol. But my friend urged me to go fill my ** and antibiotics from the ER. So I got in my car and followed her there. They knew we were friends as we both spend a pretty penny in that store several times a day most often. I know her because our children attended the first grade together. Didn't know deep detail about her. Long story short, she must've put a magazine in her purse, as I was awaiting the pharmacist with my medications. I heard a verbal altercation between her and one of the store clerks. Then she turned to me across the room and said "come on Marcella let's go." I had no intention of leaving with her because a) we came in separate cars and were going separate ways anyway and B) that is my neighborhood store which is not only most convenient esp. if I am ever w/o a car, but also I'd grown friendly with 99% of the staff, and this was like a tri-daily thing for me.

So she left and I later heard her brag how she walked out with computer software in direct sight in her shopping cart w/o paying for it, screaming at them to go to hell that she spends a fortune in that store. I think nothing of it. I am a 46 yr. old suburban housewife with a 6 yr. old, and would never steal (in my late teens/early 20's I did, but since it's not even part of my thought process). My meds were ready. I turn around and there are two Coral Springs Policemen there and they tell me when I'm checked out they need to speak to me outside. I assume they want some information in regard to my friend, instead they acted like I was an accomplice who got ditched and left behind.

I told them "No my car is right there, we came separately." They gave me a 90 day no trespass order!!!! The daytime mgr. said he always has to watch me. I am totally confused. I am a homeowner who spends plentifully there. My appearance is usually extremely neat, attractive, clean cut etc. but of course on that day with barely any sleep, right after a night in ER in pajamas, hair disheveled etc. they treated me (cops and mgr. daytime) like a homeless criminal. And the mgr. who was always so pleasant to my 6 yr. old and myself, turned on me like a homeless degenerate. I think the 90 days is up but I feel so insulted I hate to share my time, money etc w/ them, that if my car were inoperable I think I'd walk or take a taxi out of my way.

A couple years ago, I got a RX. There was a confusion of some sort & I believed I did not received it. When I said so, instead of the benefit of the doubt, which used to be given, the pharmacist, Andy, said under his breath "I don't believe you" or something of that nature. On the way home, upset, I found it at a light. Went back & discussed it with the store mgr., they apologized for what he said. I have been ill since 1990. I am diagnosed with MS, CFS/FM. I do the best I can. After that, he would not fill for me. He maintained that I should find a Dr in the area. I had already tried 4. I was unaware of Pharmacists now having the say over where one finds solutions.

One Dr. Prescribed medication that made my right side of my body incapable of anything. Another Dr. attempted to do an antiquated test that has been shown to have nothing to do with Fibromyalgia since the early 2000's. I then moved on to a seemingly sane Dr that wanted me to see a psychiatrist for the CFS/FM. I have a world renowned Dr. that is in Houston. It costs me thousands to see her each year. I will soon be forced to live there probably, away from family because though I use insurance every single time I fill, though I take as prescribed & don't fill early, insurance would scream, though I am not a drinker, partier & do not look like one, I have to cross state lines to seek treatment. I was unaware that I was now living in Russia.

I live a life I don't have to lie about. I care deeply how I am perceived & am the best I can be. That I am ill, I did not ask for. I could be functional perhaps if all of this were less stressful. But it isn't. I am angry that I have to go elsewhere & Walgreens let one court case dictate how they now treat their customers. I guess longstanding customer & being active in the fitness industry screams JUNKY. Ya'll will go down the tubes soon & I don't know that I will be happy or sad. Probably both. Oh yeah, when I called in & talked to a customer service rep? Yeah, that will do a lot of good. A stump has more empathy. Go Walgreens!

Geez I don't even know where to start. Well back in May of 2013 I had my 2nd beautiful child. Who also came with many many back problems. I was sent home with pain pills and my doctor of 5 years told me and wrote on my prescription as needed for pain he said if you need more do not hesitate to call. The time came and I needed more about 3 weeks later. My doctor had no problem and filled it. That is until Walgreens gets their greedy hand on my **. They said "I'm sorry ma'am. You're too early.. You're prescribed 1 tablet 2 times daily." I said AS NEEDED FOR PAIN. She then tried to tell me that it was because of my insurance - I told her give me the paper script. She did and I went somewhere else.

That following October I had surgery and was prescribed **. Of course they had a problem filling my **. They then CALLED my OBGYN be the scripts were from 2 different doctors!! My ** obgyn doesn't perform surgery dumb **. I will skip ahead a little.. July of '14 I lost my insurance and I couldn't help. I had made it perfectly clear as I was only filling week by week I said does that mean if my insurance kicks back in I'll be able to fill the remaining left on my full month no matter how soon they said yes... Well that time came and they denied me. They also tried to deny my reimbursement because I didn't have the stupid leaf they put on your bag and she said it wasn't in her system but when I went into my Walgreens account WOW there it was. She tried to deny it but I'm not just going to let them get $400.00 from me AND my insurance company.

So the last straw was this week when I picked my prescription up. I noticed that next morning there didn't seem to be the right amount - I counted and sure enough I'm missing 13. Well ** for me because that's a week worth of medication for my month that I'm ** out of luck with and they can't do anything about it because I didn't notice until the next day. I know my fault for trusting a pharmacy to have the correct amount of medicine that they have printed on my bottle. So yesterday we went to pick my husband's prescription and they never called him or anything but she asked the last name, looked at her computer, grabbed the bag, went to put it in the slot, THEN went to say "by the way we only had 14 so in a week we will fill the rest." I said Nope take that ** back - give me the paper script. That's **. She's like well if we get them sooner you can get the rest. I said no paper script and you're losing 2 customers. I hate Walgreens and will never go to them again.

One of his assistants, **, tried to find me the goods but could not so offered me Listerine. The only problem is that I had 3 $1.00 Scope coupons and wanted to use them... She would not allow it (CVS will) and then decided to give me 3 other Scope Mouthwashes. I could not get my balance rewards but were given 5,000 points.

What are the managers of these stores doing - Walking around looking pretty? They get these ads weeks in advance and should be checking that these goods are in their store. This week, the first day of the sale on 8/17, I went to the same Walgreens to buy Colgate Optic White toothpaste 5 oz. 3.99 w/ 3.00 balance rewards. The cashier told me that I could not buy it because the register rewards would not print. Why do I always have to use wear and tear on my vehicle and gasoline to go to these stores and not get the goods? This is not fair to the customer - it's false advertising - and then when I call a manager or write a letter - I am the "bad guy".

Told Dr. advised to use a locally owned pharmacy. No issues, they'll even deliver to my home! WALGREENS broke the law & seems they still are, w/ all the stories on here of wrong pill counts in prescriptions!

I hope they go out of business, not only were THEY were playing "drug dealer" in Florida, but also stealing people's medications by shorting the counts! Why were they even allowed to keep their pharmacy license? Then treat customers as if WE caused their problem? Did I get a call asking why both I & hub stopped doing business there? Nope & can't imagine it happening! Folks, don't put up with this, find a local mom & pop pharmacy, you'll be amazed at the lies you've been told! The last few of times I've been to my local Walgreens pharmacy, I have noticed really long lines and waits - like from 6-10 people waiting in line and the wait close to 30 minutes, with one pharmacist and one staff working the counter. I have always had a great relationship with my local Walgreens pharmacy staff so no complaints there, they were clearly working hard. I'm not an overly impatient person and generally try to take lines in stride. The first couple of times, I just assumed it was an unusually busy time, or that someone had called in sick, but this last time, I asked the worker what was up and she said that the company was cutting back on staff.

This last time was right after work at like 6:00pm and they have one person working the counter with people waiting up to 40 minutes in line? A multi-billion dollar agency, with a near monopoly on local pharmacy options. The message seems to be to consumers and to the overworked, stressed out staff, "get over it." I'm thinking over getting over to a small, local pharmacy, if one still exists or at the least to a CVS.

I am disgusted with Walgreens and the treatment I've received recently at the Walgreens in Banning Ca. **, the pharmacist I personally dealt with filled 1 of the 3 rxs that I requested to be transferred from a cvs in different city, the day prior. I did this transfer for "convenience" as I was in town and not wanting to drive 45 minutes back home to pickup rxs that cvs was more than helpful in filling. First rx for **, was never transferred as I had requested to a male tech on 8/2/14. The 2nd rx was transferred and even filled, according to the emails and texts I had received approximately 15 minutes before arriving to walgreens drive thru. The third rx for migraines, was supposedly missing my insurance info, yet she was able to fill 2nd rx for pain?

When I pulled up to drive thru, I was greeted by tech who said it would be a minute. Then ** appeared, stating she couldn't fill pain med (the med I have emails and texts stating ready for pick up). She went on to say I had too many "baby amounts" filled recently by several doctors. I explained that previous record should prove, I've been prescribed same pain med for YEARS by same physician specialist at qty 240 monthly. This up until 6/23 being my last rx from specialist. Now, since 7/21 (had surgery this day for bilateral breast lesions removed) I've been prescribed#30 twice by surgeon and was taking as previously prescribed by specialist. 2 every 6 hours. Then this rx, from my primary care doctor, for #100 1 every 6 hours. Ergo...MONTHLY RX NOW IN HALF. Wouldn't that be a positive change in my records?

On 8/3/14 when insurance stated they would cover, ** the pharmacist who felt she could make assumptions without even speaking to the prescribing doctor who is aware of previous physicians because they all work under same medical clinic, denied filling and basically wasted my time. Since then, I contacted her today 8/4/14 regarding this matter, and her new excuse was I could fill it locally in my hometown and since they could look up local providers, then local Walgreens would be able to fill. I thanked her, as I understand these young pharmacists are scared to fill ** without running background checks..or as we seem to see all too frequently lately with walgreens due to THEIR mistakes and recent lawsuit..Pharmacists at Walgreens are overriding physicians with 8+years of med school, because they feel like they have final say. In this case, ** has created a major problem with my pain rx..It is on file but not fillable at local Walgreens due to her notes. So she lied to me..stating it was due to out of area and not knowing the doctors in my rx history.

CVS, who is the pharmacy I will use for everything from now on..Can't get Walgreens to transfer back pain rx and now even the ** is "placed order" with Walgreens. I'll be out of my pain medication tomorrow 8/5/14 & if Walgreens read their own patient handouts that come with meds..patients should not abruptly stop this pain med if have been taking it for some time. So, tomorrow when my body goes through god only knows, and my bp rises and body suffers from ABRUPTLY STOPPING PAIN MED...is ** from Walgreens in Banning CA, or my local Walgreens going to pay for my hospital bills when my body goes into misery and blood pressure, not to mention already uncontrolled pain levels go through the roof? I'll be filing a report with the BBB tomorrow against that Walgreens and the pharmacist in question. To anyone needing a pharmacy, never fill even an aspirin at Walgreens. CVS ONLY.

We got a prescription of antibiotic for my little baby and requested a pharmacist consultation just to be sure we get proper instruction since it's the baby's first antibiotic. The pharmacist @ Scott and El Camino Real in Santa Clara did not bother to tell us the important fact that the medicine had to be refrigerated! I gave the medicine to my baby for 5 days and after day 3, he got terrible cramps in his tummy. I was told it was side effect of the medicine! On day 4, when the medicine changed color, I read the instructions in fine print (which I wish I had read on day 1 instead of trusting that the pharmacist had told me everything I needed to know)!

Not related to the above incident but I find this particular Walgreens moved under new management when they changed locations within the mall. The old and experienced staff was fired and new young people were hired. Now I have nothing against young people as long as they are trained and behave in the manner required of their profession. This is clearly not the case!! Last, their customer service is just terrible. I should say abysmal!!! It ranks in the top 3 worst experiences of my lifetime!! You sicken me, Walgreens of Santa Clara - except you are the last place I will go to to get medicine for it. Ha ha.

On Friday evening at 8pm I stopped in at my local Walgreens pharmacy to drop off my usual scripts. While waiting, I couldn't help but overhear a conversation on the phone between the fill in pharmacist "Justin or Jason" and a customer. Clearly the pharmacist was very angry and short tempered. Nevertheless, I still greeted him and provided the usual id. He made no attempt whatsoever to greet me but that's ok, he's clearly having a bad day. While he was scanning my id a car came through the drive-thru. Once again, he was very short and slammed the phone down and continued to help me. Upon his return, I noticed that my id was cracked down the middle.

This has happened before years ago with another walgreens and initially was not a big issue. However, shortly after explaining that he broke my id he basically said that I was lying. On top of this he continued with his childish behavior and denied filling my scripts based on his notion that I was giving him a hard time. I asked for a manager and ended up with the very inexperienced night manager. The scripts never were filled and considering the fact that these meds are necessary daily and the only way to keep me out of the hospital. Clearly this very young individual enjoys the power to veto whom he feels should or shouldn't have their scripts filled. This is a huge liability on Walgreens and should I have ended up in the hospital, legal action would have clearly been my next step. This pharmacist, Justin or Jason without a doubt should be fired due to his gross negligence and totally unprofessional demeanor!

I am currently on crutches due to recent hip surgery. We were visiting Milwaukee and my daughter fell sick. I needed cold medication. We stopped at Walgreens. We parked in handicapped parking and I went into walgreens on my crutches. I stopped at the register and asked the clerk where children's cold meds where, and if I could use a bag to carry my items. I was unable to carry a basket or push a cart. She was very helpful, gave me a bag and guided me to the back of the store for children's meds. I get to the meds and start to read the labels and all of the sudden I'm surrounded by a large African American male manager and on the other side of me was another store employee.... The manager was horribly rude, in my face... I really had a hard time understanding him because I was so scared and intimidated.... He was saying something to the effect of he's taking the bag away and telling me that I can't have that bag because I could use it to shoplift....

I told him that I asked for the bag because I cannot carry a basket or push a cart with crutches.... He just continued to hover over me and I said "fine, give me a basket, but I can't carry it".... The manager had the other employee go get a basket... The manager continued to intimidate me by standing into my personal space. I was shaking and I told him to please stop hovering and he said something about not until he had the bag. I let it go... I think that's when he walked away.

I went back to finding my daughter's cold medication. I found what I needed and put it in the basket. I could not carry the basket so I had to push it with my crutches across the floor from the back of the store. That manager stood in the next aisle and watched me struggle. I was so embarrassed but I was not going to leave without the things I needed. The girl at the front register (and I think it was another manager) felt so bad for me. I was so embarrassed, intimidated.... Helpless... How dare you!

I noticed in May I was not getting Reward points for my RX's. I questioned the pharmacy and was told that sometimes it takes a few minutes to show up on a pharmacy RX. I started keeping my own record. In early June, I realized I had not received one point on my RX's. I called the Walgreens customer service number and was told since January I had not be given any points due to my government insurance. I told them I had private insurance. As a matter of fact, it has been the same private insurance for the last 2 years.

I was told by the Walgreens customer service agent all this incorrect coding started with the beginning of Obama care on January 1st! They have so many people calling in about this. They would open a case number and look into it. I asked about getting my points from January. She told me all she could tell me is she was told to enter the information and it would be investigated. She could not tell me if I would get my points, how long it would take to investigate, or when this would be corrected so I can start earning points again.

Well I called back this morning, two months later, it is still be investigated. They still can't tell me if I will begin to earn points, get points from previous RX purchases, or have my status corrected. I told her I think 60 days is a long time to wait for a solution. I then told her, "I have been doing business with Walgreens for years. You have another 30 days to get this investigated, get it right, and give me the points you owe me. After that point, I am moving all of my business to CVS down the street. Please take a look at my account to see all the money I have spent in the last year with an average of 15 RX's per month. That is 7500 points per month, 52,500 up to this point, or $50.00 Walgreens owes me!

Imagine 10,000 consumers not getting points. That is 1/2 million dollars in Walgreens pocket! She is telling me this is a big issue for Walgreens. So, my 10,000 consumers may just be a small percentage of the number not getting their points. So another example is 100,000 consumers or 5 million dollars Walgreens has of our hard earned money! Not only is this wrong but, I have been polling other customers that have the same issue. This screams class action suit! “In closing, I am giving you 30 days to get this right. If not, I am moving on to CVS, Walmart, or the Medicine Shoppe. Furthermore, I will let everyone I talk with know what Walgreens is doing.”

I was given no choice in the strength, and I thanked them, and went to my car. I opened the bottle right there in the parking lot, as I needed to take a dose, I was crying from the pain. There was 13 pills in the bottle, with the 18 circled on the label. I was shocked.

I IMMEDIATELY went back inside and back to the pharm counter, I was livid. I had just spent over an hour in crying pain waiting for this to be resolved/issued so I would not have a hellish weekend, and they told me I was the thief, that they had allegedly double counted and NEVER make mistakes. I was told that I would have to get a hold of the manager, a Chad **, and beg HIM for my 5 pills. It's a Friday, and he may or may not be around until Monday, as I was told quite rudely. I called my oral surgeon and he said I'm screwed, that he can't help what Walgreens chose to do, and I will have to be in pain because a pharmacist decided to steal my opiate medication. Too bad. This is beyond sick. The consequences are, I get to be in intense pain and have no recourse or legal remedy.

They told us it would be ready in 3 weeks because they send out their video. Went to pick it up on day promised - not there. After going through hoops, found out they lost it in the store and never sent out. All they could do for me is offer $100 to make me happy. This was my only copy. Our family had taped it for us and we wanted it converted to a DVD to watch. I planned this day for the last year. We also have two little girls. I would love to have showed them when they're older their parents' wedding day. The corporate office was very unhelpful. They said a $100 is all that it is worth. There is no way you can place a price on this. This is still an open claim. I plan on filing in court. The girl that threw it away on accident is still working and has not faced any punishment. So I had to get on partial unemployment. I finally got out of that store and moved to the store downtown. I worked there for three and a half years. Then I transferred to one closer to my apartment. They changed management to another woman who was also a bad manager. Should favors to others. I kept a journal on her and I still have it. To made a long story short, when I moved to San Antonio I was making 9.55 an hour. Now five years later and having my pay cut when I moved to S.A. Make 10.01. Sad working for a company and in 8 years making 5 cents more.

At 5:45 pm, I picked up my prescription from the drive through (They close at 6 pm on Sunday). The next morning when I took my prescription out of the bag and opened the bottle, I noticed it didn't look right. I counted the pills and I had 12 pills. 8 were missing. I know this is a narcotic and since I did not count my pills in the store, there is nothing I can do to prove it. I did call and they counted their stock and said they were 3 over, not 8. I asked for the manager to check the security footage and call me back. 4 hours later I called back and the pharmacist said she filled it the day before and there was nothing on the security tape. She also said she recounted the pills and they are 3 SHORT not over.

I told her she has a problem in the store. If their stock is short and now a customer is also saying they have been shorted in their prescription, someone is taking these pills. She said she filled the prescription at 5:15 pm and that she put them all in the bottle. I said I picked up at 5:45 pm and somewhere in that time, someone took 8 pills out of my bottle. That store has a problem and I do not want anyone else to have to go through this. My insurance company paid for pills I did not receive and I paid a co-pay for pills I did not receive. I also went to the Walgreens website and filed a complaint through their online customer service dept on Monday 7/7/14. I will be filing a police report this evening.

I worked at Walgreens in Winona for almost 8 months. During that time there I have learned that Walgreens as a company has no standards for their Managers. I had a manager the first 2 months that was awesome. He was personable, kind, worked hard, everything I thought a manager would do. Then, out of nowhere, he got fired, and we had another manager come to work there. Instantly, people were unhappy. He was, rude, abrasive, offensive, and just plain mean. The morale of the store was obviously declining. Customers were even complaining to us about this abrasive store manager. Not only did he have a rough personality, he was a frequent person to pick favorites. He would be extremely nice to some employees, and treat other employees like trash. I myself am in Recovery, I have been for over 2 years, proudly might I add. Multiple times the store manager had made remarks about alcoholism in college, and "disgusting crack addicts" outside of his other store, with me in the room. I know that he knew about my recovery, because that "open door" policy, was a scam. I would confide in the ASM and she would immediately tell the store manager everything I said about my personal life. Completely unnecessary.

Knowing that the pharmacy was always busy not having enough Techs, I volunteered to begin training so that I could grab IC3s back there; seeing as the photo department was constantly down. I was given a "we don't have hours for you to train back there right now". Which I completely understand, but then it was months, and I heard nothing. They even had signs up saying that they were hiring full time pharmacy techs. I expressed my frustration with a Shift Lead and she said "Oh, yeah. I bet it's because you're sober". And if that is the case, I will be filing a lawsuit immediately. They hired a woman to work in pharmacy full time, but instead of having her train back there, they stuck her in photo in my position, giving me no shifts in the photo department, and 6.5 hours at the front register a week. Now you tell me, how is someone supposed to survive on that kind of money. When I expressed that concern, the ASM told me to give myself a raise by selling more suggestive sell.

I lost trust and hope that I would enjoy working at Walgreens. When I was hired I was so excited. I loved what Walgreens stood for. Now after seeing how they run that store, I will never shop there again. I have quit, and plan on filing these complaints with everyone I can. This is a poorly run store. From the photo department always being out of stock and losing customer's orders, to the managers chosen to run and represent the store. I am embarrassed to even admit I worked there, just like I was embarrassed to have to admit to customers that we were out of stock in the photo department regularly. I trust that this will be filed accordingly, and action will be taken. I am disappointed in this company, and am not afraid to speak my mind about it to everyone I can.

I've been using Walgreens pharmacy for years. The location I go to is right down the street from my house. The prescriptions that are there usually stay the same. The script that I fill every month is a medicine I've been taking for a long time. Well, many months ago, the medicine had a shortage. It was called **. My store I use all the time ordered it and a month later it still never came in. I went to another Walgreens down the street from that one and they didn't have it. They ordered it and a month later it still never came in. Now I've been without it for two months.

I started looking around and they had it at Walmart. I got it there for a few months, without having any choice but to get it there. Finally my Walgreens had it for a couple months. Then they were out of it. I chose to try store #9300 and they had it. I was so happy because it's been a struggle trying to find the ** because of the shortage. The very next month, I attempted to get it at store #9300 and I was asked why I didn't get it at my original Walgreens I usually go to and I explained it to her about what I went through. I was surprised that she didn't know about the shortage. She then got very snotty and told me she won't fill it but to take it back to my original Walgreens I go to and have them order it.

I got really angry and told her that I did that remember I just told you and there's a shortage. That whoever is out of it won't get it in for a long time. Whoever still has it is where I have to go to. It's the same kind of store, it's Walgreens, just a different store location. I told her if it's because ** is an controlled substance then to feel free to call the other store or my doctor if need be and you will see that there's no problem. She then very rude Said that if she filled the ** then I must fill all of my prescriptions at her store. Granted I have a lot of them that is on auto fill at my store and my store knows my doctors and their numbers and when to call them when I need a refill and also I pick up a prescription every week or twice a week and is right down the road. So she is telling me to change all of that if I want my medicine.

I was so upset. I was cooperative and I didn't see why she was doing that to me. I knew she could get away with it too because it was a controlled substance. I almost cried and I gave in to her demands because her store was the only one that had my ADHD medicine and I'm lost and unfocused without it and it is the only ADHD medicine my insurance will pay for. I went back a couple of times and filled a couple more prescriptions there and realized the inconvenience of going there. I like my Walgreens on the corner of 54 and Collier. I thought you can fill a prescription at any time at any location. I just filled my ** 3 at a Walgreens in the Apollo Beach area a few days before that and had no problems with them. I decided to never ever go to store 9300 ever again. Even if they have **. I'd rather not have it.

This is about Wal-Greens in Malvern, Arkansas. On Monday June 17, it took 2 1/2 hours to get two scripts filled after it was called in by a doctor's assistant. This meant 45 extra miles of driving for us. My daughter was too sick to wait. We live in a town of less than 10,000 people. We have four other pharmacies. This just isn't L.A. Since Wal-Greens bought USA Drug out in our town, this is how the story goes in the pharmacy about 85 percent of the time.

On Friday June 20, after passing by Wal-Mart, Dollar Store and Freds that sell a wide range of cosmetics I chose Wal-Greens to buy some of these items on my want list. The nail polish was my main item of purchase. The stickers that mark the sale items are not clear and concise. I believe onlookers need have to have great eyesight or glasses and a general knowledge of how this companies pricing system works for this to be an optimal shopping experience. When I went up to the cashier, to pay what I thought was about 3.00 dollars was about 8.00 dollars. She said, "It has to be directly under the sticker".

"Come back and show me, I want to be sure," I said. After putting on my glasses and reading more than the initial price that I could read without my glasses, I still needed a knowledge of how their company's pricing system etc worked. I would have had to look at the color of nail polish on the bottle skew number and match it with the numbers on the orange sticker. This became just to darn difficult. I shook my head at the cashier. "What" I said. She became annoyed when I indicated this was confusing. She said, "Most people don't have an issue". Without meaning to brag, I have more education than at least 85 percent of our town's population, and I believe they have had issues with this system from others that would never speak out. She walked away from me without answering my questions. I had taken up about two minutes of her time. "I have to get back to my register," she said. I was the only other customer at that moment in the store. When I walked up to the front of the store and saw this, I mentioned how empty the store was. She told me they were short staffed. I wonder what bean counter in corporate that bought out USA didn't foresee this.

So now, they are short staffed and the staff they have didn't want to give good customer service. I have a family of four, and our scripts will be filled at Young's pharmacy from now on. I am not going to deal with this nonsense again. We waited for the transition to smooth out after the buy out of USA. It is never going to become satisfactory. They were short staffed because of call ins. Well. . . Goodbye, farewell. I just didn't know it should be that difficult to give good customer service.

They want to look in my bag, but it had my medical info/papers in it, so I refused.

I want Alli but with its issues I knew this work just as well. I take it to the counter and my purchase was over $50.00. I'm questioning the clerk and he tells me the price is 40.99 for the Xenical because I don't have a REWARDS CARD. I'm thinking he had to be joking.

So I go back and look. Sure enough he was right! Double the price because I chose not to use a reward card and share my private information to sign up for it. How ridiculous is that. I could see a few dollars but DOUBLE. I told him I would not purchase any items at all from this store again. That's crazy. Thing is I always go in Walmart for cosmetics and never thought much about it until today when I would have to pay double the price. So unfair because I chose to keep my privacy.

I use their online site to order my meds and the meds of both my parents. Instead of this being convenient, it has become a minefield. The website shows different dates of refills that their prescription bottles do. It is constantly removing prescriptions that still have IN-DATE refills. Because of this they have had me taking my parents to the doctor not every six months, but every five. Now I'm having to go to the doctor for refills every FOUR MONTHS. JUST FOR REFILLS because Walgreens can't count and apparently just enjoy thieving my time and money. RIDICULOUS.

Their automatic refills "service" interferes with new prescriptions by trying to fill those with no refills instead of the same med that DOES have refills. And that causes me to, again, stop and call on each one in order to get it filled correctly. The staff isn't exactly the friendliest bunch, which doesn't help. I am trying to care for both my parents and instead of a partner, Walgreens have become just one more obstacle to trying to keep them healthy. There is never an explanation. I get nothing more than the standard PR answer.

I try to go out of my way to be friendly and helpful most of the time, after all I am a nurse but you mess with my child's meds, my child who has asperger's and is dependent on his meds to help him lead a stable, happy life, you bring out the crazy in me!!! Anyway this isn't the first time I've had Walgreens give me the wrong number of meds and accusations fly. Just wondered if anyone else has had this experience with Walgreens.

14 years ago I adopted my special needs granddaughter. She is Autistic, Bipolar, ADHD, Mentally ** with social and behavioral issues. Because of her special needs she is on three types of medication. Up to this year, all prescriptions for my granddaughter were filled through CVS - I had no issues with them. They would fill them 5 days in advance, and send me a text they are ready. When United Healthcare took over they demanded all be filled through Walgreens. Immediately I had issues. They didn't transfer over all the prescriptions; it takes the 48 hours to get approval on medications. They won't call and get the approval - they wait for it to come back electronically and they will not pre-fill. They will not fill the prescriptions until the day they run out!!!

Twice I have had to yell at them because my granddaughter has run out of meds and they need two days to fill them. They're response to me is, “Call us on the day it's due.” I have never had to deal with a company that has so little regard for the public. It feels like they consider anyone on state aide or state funded medical are low life scum and we should feel gracious that they give us any time at all. I have filed a formal complaint against Walgreens with the DDD in the State of Arizona, with the United Healthcare Customer Complaint Service, and with Walgreens. How hard is it to CARE!!!! If I were FORCED to use them I would take the meds back to CVS who happens to care and provide excellent customer service to their customers!

I had my prescription sent to one Walgreens and they stated Public Aid doesn't cover my medicine so I've been paying out of pocket 40.00 dollars then I received a discount prescription card and I was paying 27.00 dollars. Now 8 months ago lost my job and I haven't had. No money and I've been borrowing money but after awhile people get bothered when you ask so I went to the doctor and she submitted the prescription to a different Walgreens.

After 3 months suffering public aid paid for it and my co pay was 2.00. OMG you do not understand how I feel this Walgreens went out of there way to get my medicine where I didn't have to pay all that money all they did is lowered my MG and advised me to take the equivalent amount that I was taking before and on top of it they have 8 refills. Do you know I lost out on so much money and they take no responsibility for it?

I have been a Drugstore.com customer/fan for years placing dozens of orders (if not well over 100). However, since they were bought by Walgreen's perhaps two years ago, their new owners have seemed to go above and beyond to create reasons for people to shop elsewhere. First, they quietly changed their free shipping minimum from $25 to $35. Then, prices started to creep up, following by promotions that used to be "$10 off $40" becoming "$10 off $50" and this week has now become "$10 of $75" (Why buys $75 in HBA in one order?). Then, to cap off all this, they have moved or closed distribution centers.

They would almost always ship my orders in 24 hours (or sometimes in a few hours!) and I would get them 90% of the time the next business day as they were all shipped from a center two states away. NOW? It can take 2-3 days for an order to ship and my most recent one had to go half-way across the country taking A WEEK to arrive. I wrote them and got a pretty curt response that basically said "we change distribution centers. We delivered in our promised window. Tough." I could believe it and immediately stopped doing business with them. Walgreens may temporarily making more money one each order with these cutbacks in promotions and service, but longtime customers like myself are fleeing.

I used Walgreens Pharmacy in Newton NJ to fill 2 medications I depend on monthly exactly 7 days ago. I too was shorted 30 pills on a controlled substance prescription. I arrived at 4:45 pm after work and dropped off my two prescriptions to be filled and waited. After an HOUR and a HALF they told me they just had to ask the pharmacist something and then they would be ready to ring me up. My first thought when I got the order was that the bottle felt light, but being unfamiliar with the generic tabs they carried, I relied on the qty on the bottle that was circled. Over the weekend, I noticed that I had what amounted to 6 DAYS supply left in the bottle when I should have had 3 WEEKS.

The kicker is I am ALONE in my home, no company has come over and NOBODY knows the medication I take. The medicine stays in my drawer day after day. I went to the Pharmacy today for help, assuming they could check their logs and rectify this obvious mistake. After an hour and a half, the store manager told me "she checked the tape and it shows that I got the full prescription." Obviously I can't see their evidence and they said I was welcome to file a police report, but as far as they are concerned, its my problem, good luck with your cold turkey, have a nice day. The stigma with this medicine is bad enough and I am working hard to come off it, but mistakes happen and there are dishonest people.

I just want to know that Walgreens has a system in place that shows on this 'tape' an unbroken custody chain of pills in the bottle (showing each one going in) - bottle in a stapled sealed bag - bag handed to customer. If they have this, then I will ponder the mystery of who broke in to my house to steal SOME of my medicine and leave everything else. Otherwise it is just another example of a corporate employee pulling a 'CYA' move and basically committing insurance fraud and theft at the physical and monetary expense of others, with no recourse for the little guy. I filed a complaint with the company. Hopefully they do their due diligence and take care of the customer if there is any indication of wrong doing. Then again, I will have to rely on their 'conclusion'. WHAT CAN WE DO?

She was loud and disrespectful. Her name was Alley, Alice something like that, plus I went to get my photo that I put in 2 days before it was supposed to be done, and they were not. I had to wait 30 mins and the stock people don't know where anything is and spend most of their time hanging around the store, talking sports and music. The manager seems to be clueless, he was a bold dark skin man who seems to be new because he didn't know prices, locations of products, pretty much anything about the store. The third time this took place, I actually counted them in the store and they made it good, however, this does propose they may have a problem since it is a controlled substance. I am not the only individual this has happened with.

I would have continued my loyal service with Walgreens had they not allowed my husband's EX Wife who has only worked in this store since January of 2014, to tell me she is going to have me trespassed from her store. I was unaware that Brittaney **, a store shift manager, can choose to make these types of decisions against any customer based on her personal life situations. This is the SECOND time this has happened to me from Walgreens! I told them first of all, if they knew they couldn't fill my prescription then they should have told me beforehand and given me the option of taking it elsewhere.

Also since the medication didn't come in as expected, they should have called other pharmacies and back-up suppliers to ensure the medication would be available! No option or course of action was advised when I asked "what happens after tomorrow if you don't get my medicine in"? This is unacceptable! Walgreens will NOT get any more of my prescriptions! I purchased 2 American Express gift cards for both of my sisters as a Christmas gift. Like I do every year. I threw the receipt away because I have done this same exact thing for years and never had any issues. I have the cards to my sisters and they go to the mall together to go shopping. They had all their items at the register in front of other people and were embarrassed because the cards did not work. They put everything back on the racks and left because there was no money on the cards. I got the cards back about 2 months after I had purchased them.

Went back to Walgreens to try to get a copy of my receipt. I even had my bank statements saying when I purchase the two cards and how much. They told me to call the number on the cards. I did and American Express tells me there was no money ever put on the two cards. It was like I went in the store, grabbed the cards and walked out without paying. My bank statements shows that I paid the amount and the exact date and time. Walgreens would not give me a copy of my receipt and tells me that they are sorry and trying to blame it on American Express. But it's not American Express's fault. It was the cashier at Walgreens that didn't do it right.

Every time I go into Walgreens, they have new employees. I think Walgreens will hire anyone because the employees seem not to care and are very unprofessional. I even called Walgreens help desk and they tell me they delete everything "receipts" after 30 days. Why would they delete anything? All they can tell me is that they are sorry. Sorry for what? They should be thanking me because instead of my little sisters getting $100s for Christmas, I gave Walgreens $100s for Christmas.

I am furious because Walgreens tells me that there is nothing they can do. There's gotta be something. If this was a few bucks, I would not really care. But this is a lot of money that I paid. So last year all my little sisters got from me was a big embarrassment at the mall in front of a bunch of shoppers and workers. I will never step foot into another Walgreens ever again. Walmart is pretty bad but I'll go there before Walgreens from now on. I have done everything possible to take care of this matter with Walgreens and they really don't seem to care to resolve this issue. I even have the proof to show them "bank statements" and I get nothing but an "I'm sorry dude". Walgreens needs to step up to the plate and hire employees that know how to do their job and can be professional.

Had to call him because I don't remember his information. I came back and they made me wait for half an hour for them to call the insurance. Now, I needed his address, WHAT!!!! First the card, then the DOB and now the address. It's not enough having the card. I don't talk to my ex because his new wife physically hurt my child. They made me waste 3 days running around gathering the information and obviously my ex will not provide me with his address. Afraid that I will hurt his new wife. Another complain is with my prenatal vitamins. I get the pharmacy and they tell my pills are in another location 15 miles away. Losing a previous baby make me concern so in need of my pills I drive all the way to that location. Once I get there they tell me my pills is in another pharmacy 20 miles away. They made me drive around in order to get my prescription. Now we have plenty of other pharmacies if you avoid going to Walgreens please do so. I never had any problems getting my medication filled till December of last year. Every time I try to get it filled they tell me they ordered it and it will be in the next day but it's not. They never even ordered it! I regularly have to go 46 days without my medication and in extreme pain. Because of that I call a couple days before I need it filled, it's a 28-day supply mind you, and tell them I'm going to need it in a couple days to please order it since it's never in stock. Then I get a message to call the pharmacist and he reads me the riot act saying it's way too early for me to fill it even though my insurance covered it. He made me wait a week to get it.

Now I've moved to Colorado and I'm having the same problem but this time they put my last refill on hold and told me I couldn't have it because my insurance will only cover 5 refills not 6. So I called my insurance and they said it's covered and that Walgreen's never even put the prescription through to the insurance to even see if it was covered. Now I've moved to Colorado and I'm having issues again. They told me they ordered it Friday. Today is Monday and it isn't here because they didn't order it. I finally got it put through and they said it's not covered. So again I had to call my insurance who says it's covered that Walgreen's put in a discontinued NdC #. They said they'll try and see if they can get it here tomorrow. Seems to me like the pharmacists have a personal issue with dispensing my medication regardless of the effect going without it has on me!

My original visit was on 5/5/14 around 9:30 pm to drop off a prescription for IV fluids for my cat. I brought in the prescription from my vet, along with the NDC numbers of ones that I knew were in DEHP-free bags. The young lady typed in a bunch of things and said she ordered it, and that it should be in by Wednesday. She verified my phone number so they could call me when it came in. No call on Wednesday. I called the store on Thursday. They said they had no record of it in the system but the paper prescription should be in the store, so they transferred me to the store.

The lady at the store said they had the fluids and that I would be able to come pick them up, no problem. I did my grocery shopping, then went to Walgreens to pick the fluids up. When I got there, they had no record of it AND they did not have the paper prescription that I had dropped off on Monday night. Apparently, they lost the paper prescription in the just over 2 days since I had dropped it off. The pharmacist said she'd need to call my vet to get the prescription over the phone. So, she did that, and after about 30 minutes was ready to sell me the fluids. Thankfully, I thought to verify on the bags before even leaving the counter that they were DEHP-free, because they were NOT. So, they lost my prescription, ordered the wrong thing, and the pharmacist looked in the system and found they can't get DEHP-free fluids in from their distributor.

This was the worst experience I've ever had with any pharmacy. It's a good thing this wasn't a life-saving medication that I needed today. Everyone was pleasant enough, but not terribly helpful. The girl should have told me when she tried to order it that she could not get the DEHP-free since I had the NDC numbers for those AND stated to her several times that I need DEHP-free fluids. They also should not have lost the original prescription, and they should have verified the fluids were correct before wasting my time waiting for them to call the vet.

These are the people we're supposed to trust our lives to, and we can't even trust them to do their jobs right? I have taken my business elsewhere. I'd rather pay more and get the job done right than to save a few dollars on something that contains chemicals that could cause cancer in my cat. I realize your employees are only human (that was the excuse that was given), but they need to remember that mistakes made in the pharmacy can cost lives whether by giving the wrong medicine, delaying the medicine being given, or giving something that can cause an allergic or adverse reaction and the standard of caution and care needs to be much higher than was taken in this situation. There were way too many points of failure in this situation, and it has made me lose all faith in Walgreens. With so many other choices these days, I doubt I'll ever go back to the store or the pharmacy. It's a shame, because Walgreens used to be a name you could trust.

On April 3, 2014, I received two boxes (20 cans each) of canned celebrity ham products that I had bought from Walgreens. When I opened the boxes, I was horrified to find that nearly all the cans were severely damaged with seals broken and lids popped open from the cans having slammed against each other due to Walgreens' willfully negligent shipping practices. My food arrived contaminated as a result. I later found that the boxes had been packed at two different Walgreens shipping centers. The boxes were at least twice the size of the contents, the boxes were very flimsy, there were no dividers used between any of the cans, nor were any of the cans even taped together to prevent damage that Walgreens had knowledge that could and would otherwise occur.

As padding, all they did was to throw a couple of green colored air bags inside the boxes before they shipped my food to me. I contacted Walgreens right away by phone. They denied ever having any customer complaints. I was told that they would call me back. When they had not done so, I sent them an email with a number of pictures of the severely damaged and contaminated products. I am a retired paramedic and am astute to how serious food poisoning is, and how such poisonings can cost a diabetic patient, a heart patient, a young child, or an immunosuppressed cancer patient their life, or make anyone seriously ill from kidney failure. There is no reason to believe that their shipping departments would have just picked me out to send me cans of food that were so egregiously unsafely boxed, that my canned food would incur severe damage in shipping and my food would arrive with seals broken from impact, lids popped open, and ham exposed.

This has been a pattern and practice of Walgreens cramming orders out the door without regard to the safety of the public, and it does not seem to matter what arrives to the consumer after they have the consumers' money. The most dangerous cans were the ones that only on close inspection had the seals compromised and broken, but were not so easy to see, and would have been placed on a pantry shelf by any consumer, especially by any vision impaired person. After my email to Walgreens, I advised them that they will need to send me the materials and labels to return their contaminated products, since I cannot lawfully ship hazardous materials in the Federal mail system without appropriate hazard warnings. They told me to discard the 28+ severely damaged and contaminated cans and the other cans that were dented.

I filed a claim with Suntrust Bank's fraud department, claim number **, for the return of my money of around $160 from Walgreens. On May 05, 2014, I received notice from my credit card company that Walgreens refused to return my money. I have a number of pictures that I had taken of the boxes and damaged product contained within their shipping boxes, and am profoundly disappointed with Walgreen's lack of integrity, the level of blatant denial and fraud by which I feel they operate, and their willful and wanton disregard for the safety of the public by which this corporation operates. They took my money and knowingly shipped me products that I could not safely eat, while trying to ignore their responsibility, and while hoping that I go away, along with any other consumer who reports a food safety problem on the part of their corporation.

Perhaps denial of responsibility for wrongful actions, lack of concern for the health and safety of the purchasing public, and lack of accountability are how some big businesses operate these days. An FDA or CDC warning not fall through the cracks on these matters and should be issued for consumers to check any canned goods on their shelves that may be harboring pathogenic organisms due to the negligent shipping practices by Walgreens of canned food products. In the past, I have recommended Walgreens to others because I thought that they were a good company, but companies change with management directives, and monetary goals begin superseding consumer safety requirements. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Walgreens to anyone anymore. I have attached here just a few of the pictures of the damaged and contaminated canned ham cans that I received from Walgreens, of which Walgreens also received pictures on or about April 09, 2014.

I would say I love Walgreens, but there are definitely definitely definitely some baaaad and evil managers that work there that make you wish you never even thought about shopping at Walgreens. But in the end, it makes for a great laugh. =D.

Overall, I do think Walgreens is a very good store for deals but can be extremely stressful/frustrating at times as I'm sure some of the other complaints demonstrate. Walgreens could truly be the #1 if they'd knock out of some of the anti-customer things they allow to happen. Also there are substantial issues with the slowness of their computer systems....which cannot be blamed on anyone really. There just needs to be an upgrade with less "tracking" and needless entries of redundant information.

I said “I want to if it’s the right price but you guys should change the price display". He sent one of the girl working there and she helped me saying him that it’s $26.99 and still he was trying to sell it for $29.99. It's not about $3 but the way he spoke with me as I'm lying. There are the pharmacy customers lined up at regular counter since there is some system issue at the pharmacy. I'm wondering "how come other DR employees sell prescribed drugs without pharmacist?” (I work for major healthcare firm - I'm familiar with HIPAA) and the MoneyGram wasn't working. Neither employees nor customers satisfy at this location. Worst management. I hope things will be better one day.

First of all, I believe that there are three sides to this story, mine, theirs, and the truth. Mine is that within hours of the purchase, I went to return it at a different store location and they told me the same story - no receipt no return, only store credit or an exchange - but this manager added and said if I return it to the original Walgreens store where I made the purchase, then they'll have my debit information, proof of purchase and return it for me, end of story. So next day I was hopeful no problem except I was told there's no such thing; again no receipt, no return.

And so I requested for the manager to take a look at yesterday's camera footage and he came back and said yes I was given a receipt, and so knowing that I didn't receive a receipt by checking all over. Reflecting back, I'm not ignorant. I would remember if I did or not knowing that it was only a day earlier and so I patiently asked if I can see the tape to be sure. Right away he said no, not gonna happen and so I would have no way of knowing evidence of any kind. Question now is can I have someone who is trustworthy to look into the tape and tell me other than this manager, someone I can trust.

I was humiliated by being lied to when I know deep down that it wasn't my fault but the cashiers, everyone makes mistakes. We're humans. She didn't hand me the receipt so therefore I end up with store credit and worst yet be lied to about it, insulting my intellect. At this point honestly it's not about the return that I care about but about my dignity, about getting to the bottom of this and asking did the customer have a receipt to begin with and if so he deserves the truth. All of this is within the camera footage the day of the purchase with or without the receipt.

A pharmacist at a Walgreens in NJ refused to fill a prescription for a woman who was on a small amount of **. She told me, the healthcare professional, that the person needed a more recent MRI and could not be on this medicine forever. She then informed me it was her right to refuse to fill the prescription because I did not have a plan of care for the patient. This prescription was for a woman who is seen regularly in my office and has never exhibited any behavior of misuse or abuse of her medication. She uses one pharmacy to fill her prescription. And yes she does have a plan of care prescribed by me, the licensed medical professional.

The pharmacist suggested that Walgreens' policy is that the pharmacist can decide apparently very arbitrarily whether or not to fill prescriptions based on their personal criteria. It really is way beyond their scope of practice and I believe a violation of HIPPA regulations to ask questions regarding the treatment of the patient. I suggest find an independent pharmacy, get to knows your pharmacist and boycott Walgreens and their corporate atmosphere that puts patients' care at risk!

My retinologist recently prescribed ** to increase blood flow to my eye. I dropped the prescription off at Walgreen's in Long Beach, MS. When I picked it up, it was a generic, but the label didn't tell what it was the generic for. I began taking the drug the next morning before leaving to meet a client in New Orleans. While having lunch with my daughter before returning to the Coast, I started to become sleepy but thought little of it at the time. On the way home I became dizzy and sleepier, finally dozing off several times and waking up in the other lane. When I managed to make it home, I looked up the generic name only to find that it was generic for ** (an anticonvulsant med).

When I went to Walgreen's with my complaint, I was not met with the profuse apologies I expected. Rather, my complaint was taken by the asst mgr who said she would give it to the mgr when he came in shortly. I heard nothing from them until my daughter (an attorney) called them to ask if they fully understood how serious their carelessness was. Their solution was to refund me the cost of the prescription @ $31.00. I made it clear to them that I would never entrust my health to them because of their incompetence in filling prescriptions and the cavalier attitude with which they handled complaints about serious mistakes made by pharmacy employees.

We live in Southern Illinois, but my wife has been coming to Barnes Jewish Hospital / Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis since 2008 for treatment of her ovarian cancer. It's a 126 miles each way from our house, so when she has consecutive days of appointments or treatment, we stay with her cousin who lives just south of St Louis in the town of Hillsboro. Unfortunately, my wife's cancer has been progressing recently and she has recently had a PleurX drain surgically implanted to drain the excess fluid forming around her lungs.

Recently she's been in a lot of pain and I have finally convinced her that there's no shame in taking the prescribed pain pills to help her cope. Yesterday afternoon, she received a new prescription from her oncologist and instead of staying at the mega hospital's pharmacy to fill the prescription; we hurried out of town to beat the evening rush hour traffic. When we went to the Walgreens in Festus, MO to get the prescription filled (5mg **) we were lied to, treated like common criminals and then denied the prescription.

When I submitted the prescription with my wife's Medicare card, I was told "That doesn't pay for it... it takes money." No problem, as I keep five credit cards and a minimum of $400 cash in my wallet... I had it covered. Then I was told I had to have ID. I gave them my ID. They told me it would be about 30 minutes to fill the prescription, so we left and went a couple miles away to eat dinner. As we were pulling into the restaurant parking lot, Walgreens pharmacy called my wife's cell phone and told her because of a "DEA law they couldn't fill the prescription."

This is obviously a lie. DEA isn't legislative, its law enforcement so they don't pass laws. When I went back to Walgreens to retrieve the prescription and confront the lie, the tech and then the pharmacist stated it's not a law, but Walgreens policy to not serve pharmacy customers who reside more than a few miles away (actually I think they said 25) and I needed to drive over 100 miles to my home town to get the prescription filled, then drive 126 miles back for my wife's 8 am chemotherapy appointment the next morning. I understand that ** is highly abused, but if you're too afraid to dispense it to legitimate customers, maybe you should just say so and not carry it at all.

I don't appreciate essentially being accused of being a drug addict and I really don't appreciate having to sit next to my wife while she cries in pain that could have easily been brought to a manageable level with the prescription written by her oncologist. The policy and conduct of both Walgreens and its employees is outrageous and discriminatory. The pharmacist made no attempt to check the validity of the prescription. All she had to do is make a phone call or even look at my wife and see the half inch wide drain tube covered by bloody gauze pads coming out of her abdomen. We had dozens of documents in the car relating to the new chemo drug trial my wife is participating in. I think any reasonable person (including a DEA agent) would have thought we had more than enough supporting documentation to validate the prescription.

My wife is an employee and as such we have Walgreens insurance. We CAN use any pharmacies other than Walgreens. My last prescription took three weeks to fill as I had to try 4 different pharmacies before one would fill it and then had to wait 1 week to get the meds. I suffer from several severe pain causing disorders including severe degenerative disc disease, severe arthritis, severe polymyositis, severe fibromyalgia, and severe mitochondrial myopathy for a decade. I was just contacted by the doctor's office today, Wednesday, on a prescription filled on Friday, saying that the pharmacy had called and would not fill my prescription unless they made it for 90 days.

This is a direct interference between my doctor's medical care, his requirements for my pain management in me getting my medications. If we are unable to go to other pharmacies as other people's insurance allows them to we should be able to file a class action lawsuit against Walgreens forcing them either fill her prescriptions without interference or allowing us to shop around.

Either they never have my monthly medication in stock, or in turn suggest I go to other Walgreens in the area, or shop other stores such as Safeway, or tell me they requested refills from my doctor when in fact they had not done so causing me another 72 hrs. of chasing a prescription, or telling me my doctor never refilled a prescription, although it may be on their answering machine but they are too busy to check it (have numerous times literally been told they are too busy), or are too busy to look at the fax machine (also told too busy to check); auto dial me to say my rx is ready but when I go to pick it up, it really isn't ready and they know nothing about it; play stupid when I ask why I receive a message to come pick a refill up but they cannot then find it, etc., etc.

Possibly receive a text saying an rx has been filled, but not true. They have put my health at risk so many times by their incompetence I NEED to find another pharmacy. They have been fined literally billions of dollars for narcotic violations and now I see what happened: regular customers literally get to pay for their mistakes by hiring people who have no idea what they are doing or saying, etc., etc. My bad. I saw this coming and dealt with it for years and have now had it. I am going to a mom and pop store. They care and take care of their customers. Walgreens sucks. To say the least. I give them about $2,000 a month in retail business but am now more than happy to take my money, and my insurance company's money, elsewhere. When talking to a "Manager," they just look at me with the deer in the headlights look and say what they need to say (can't stock my meds because too expensive to sit on shelf for 30 days), but never do anything about it.

Every time I go in there to pick up an rx, there are always numerous people in the same boat in line shaking their heads trying to understand what happened; where their prescriptions are; what is Walgreens doing to resolve questions, etc., etc. I could go on for years. I am leaving. Such a shame. Used to be a good company but I guess their employees now have to deal with their mistakes and have to pay their fines somehow. And that is by the lack of ANY customer service. Thank you for listening. DO NOT SHOP AT WALGREENS. YOU WILL JUST WALK AWAY SHAKING YOUR HEAD AND BEING FRUSTRATED. Do not be like me thinking it's just a temporary blip on their radar and it will change. It won't. If you need a regular monthly medication, do not believe it will be there for you. It won't. But a suggestion to go elsewhere will always be available.

When I questioned, they said the doctor had changed the dose. Called the doctor's office. They said the dose had remained at 4x daily, not changed, and that they would contact the pharmacy for me. This same **, etc is not paid by my prescription insurance. Medicare pays for this stuff. Now that I am receiving my third installment of this medicine, I have endured three different messages that my insurance company has denied coverage. So I have to call in each time and tell them to put it through medicare.

** 120 doses Twisthaler quit working. Took it in and pharmacist Kyle tried to fix it. When he couldn't, he gave me another one. Got it home and discovered it was only 30 doses. Called Kyle and he said not to worry about it because it was a freebie (Well, not to my way of thinking). Same visit to see Kyle, asked about how to use the twisthaler and the nebulizer. Very vague answers. Subsequently asked Allison (pharmacy manager) and got lengthy yet concise information. Feel much better about it now. Same visit to see Kyle. A technician came to him with a question from a customer who was in the store. Will this medicine be compatible with my other medicines? Keep in mind that I had a seizure yesterday. Kyle's answer was that IT SHOULD BE OKAY. Now, that is positively scary.

Contacted the pharmacy on either 3/3 or 3/4/14 for ** refill. Kept getting automated phone messages that my doctor wasn't responding. Called my doctor's office Friday the 7th. They told me Walgreens had been sending the request to the wrong fax number. The request had finally arrived at my doctor 3/7/14. Prescription ready 3/10/14, 6 days. Unacceptable.

My insurance company has negotiated with Walgreens for lower prices. Otherwise, I would still be using Costco. I'm not at all happy about this and will be sending a copy of this letter to the insurance company so maybe they don;t make the same mistake next year. It only took two months of dealing with Walgreens for me to become totally fed up.

I have had experience with several different companies/debit cards including Green Dot, Mango to name a few. I thought this would be a good idea since I shop Walgreens as my preferred store and like the rewards program, this was a natural choice. However, this experience has not been what I would expect from Walgreens. First, I read that your payroll could be cashed at Walgreens stores and added to your card with no service fees. Direct Deposit is available, but in some cases I need to cash my checks. When I ran down to my local Walgreens to cash my first check (FL) the manager did not have any idea of what I was talking about. Had no idea on how to manage my request...eventually had to call the number on the back of the card, as if she had no training what so ever on "their" card. Really? Most of the cashiers have no idea what this card is and that it is tied to my reward points account. Poor.

My first Direct Deposit took longer to set up than most my co workers AND my paycheck that is supposed to be available every other Friday....Balance and it's affiliate Bank, does not post my check until nearly 2 PM in the afternoon on Fridays. My previous debit card (Mango) had no problem posting my account at 2 AM on Friday, giving me access to my money upon the beginning of the day. Do not know why Balance Card has an issue with this.

Customer Service is far from helpful. When I had an ATM issue recently, no money was dispensed, no reason a malfunction. Balance held my money for 1 full day before they were "able" to reverse it back to my account and it was a significant amount of money that I was unable to access for a full day. It was a malfunction of an ATM machine....I received an error message but NOT my money and this Balance Financial/Bank holds my money hostage and will not reverse it! And, the final default was when I used my card to pay my hairdresser (a small business). A hairdresser! Not a gas station, not a restaurant, not a hotel....a Hairdresser. Balance has a policy to hold 20% more than what I was actually charged. Bill was $140, merchant charged me $140 and my account was charged $168.

Upon my complaint, I was told by an agent, it is our policy for certain types of charges....yes I know...gas stations...restaurants..etc commonly hold back a small portion upon authorization until the money is claimed by the merchant and then the balance not used is returned to my account, many times days later. Random 20% hold backs of my money is not ok with me, for not particular reason other than this is a "type" of charge that is targeted, a small business....never happened to me with any previous payment method.

This policy is beyond a customer service problem, this is annoying and simply not acceptable or something I would expect from a major national chain with a store on every corner. Frankly, I would rather have a 7-11 card than a Walgreen Balance Financial Reward Card. You do nothing but cause me accounting problems. I will be sending my card back to you in little pieces and you can keep your Rewards program too. Confusing and does not work half the time....check your receipts because you are not getting all the points credited to you, check it out but leave the card at the store. DO NOT BOTHER. Consumer Beware.

So he counted out a fresh bottle instead of the ones that were supposed to be ready and then said, "See there is no way we could have shorted you as it is all tightly controlled and then we put them in the bin for you." I then asked him what was to prevent someone from accessing the drugs between the counting and pickup. At this point he was physically shaking in nervousness and said he was contacting the DEA to report the shortage and he said he was contacting my dr. to reduce my script as I don't need the amount of pills prescribed. After 20 minutes of this nasty woman playing games my doctor's office came back on the line and said that they suggest I never go back to that Walgreens for she was nasty and rude to them as well.

Now I understand this is a monitored drug, but, there was no reason for this pharmacist to be rude to me or to the doctor's office. I received a call from the Walgreens in the 8000 block of Westheimer in Houston TX that my prescription was ready. I had not submitted one so I was surprised. I do have an ongoing prescription of two kinds of blood pressure pills. About a week prior I went into the Walgreens and paid in full for this same prescription so I didn't need it refilled now. But when they called I looked at my other pills and saw that I only had four so I asked if they could refill that also. So I went to get both prescriptions. The pharmacist waited on me. She could not find one of the prescriptions. She could only find the one I had ordered on the phone that day when they called me. The one they called about was not there. So they filled a prescription I had not submitted and called me to get it then when I go to get it they don't have it.

So what happened. She says when they do that - keep in mind this is not something they should be doing and she must know that - it means the prescription was not paid in full. I explained, I paid for it in full and she said the person who rung it up probably made a mistake and I need to pay her additional money for the prescription that I paid in full for over a week ago. This may be a scam she is running. She may call lots of other people and tell them they have to come today and get their prescriptions then tell them like she did me that there is no prescription for them to pick up but they need to pay her more money.

Walgreens needs to immediately investigate. If she is running that scam, charges need to be brought and the company should immediately terminate her employment and make full restitution to any customers she's stolen from. The pharmacist raised her voice and actually told me that I will get other phone calls every day until I pay her additional money for the prescription I got last week that I paid in full for. I paid for the prescription I got today in full of course. It concerns me that a pharmacist, who acts so strangely is filling prescriptions as she seems quite on the edge and highly unethical and seems to thinks mistakes are ok and the customers' fault. A pharmacist could literally kill someone by making mistakes so her behavior is a huge concern to me and should be for Walgreens.

My wife just started to work for AIG which carries United Health insurance. In that she just started, she had not received her medical card yet. She got a touch of bronchitis, acute and stopped in at the Walgreen's take care clinic. Since she had not received her medical card, she paid the full amount of $117. She turned it into United Health who sent her paperwork that her responsibility was only $12 and that Walgreens owed her $104. For nine months now, Walgreens said they would pay but never has done so. Walgreens were contacted several times and even by United Health, they have yet to pay.

Drugstore.com is a fine site to use as long as you don't pay via PayPal AND ship to another party. For example, I wanted to send a care package to a sick friend & pay via paypal. There were some issues with site functionality in that I had to keep re-selecting the shipping address. When I completed the online order, and received the order confirmation, it indicated that it was being shipped to me, not the selected party. It would have helped if there was a pop-up that indicated you couldn't ship to another party using paypal. I called customer service & was disconnected twice. The third time I got a customer service rep who gave me this rambling lecture on how I couldn't ship to another party using paypal unless I added a default address and how was I supposed to know that? I asked to cancel the order and she told me it was probably too late & was probably already processed even though I had placed the order just a few minutes before I spoke with her. I doubt they have people sprinting through the warehouse grabbing my items in 10 minutes, so this was a bit hard to believe! She got a bit testy then in an unpleasant tone, told me I could always return it.

So now I have two choices - I can pay $$$ to return an order that was amazingly processed in 5 minutes or I can pay $$$ to ship it to my sick friend, knowing that it will get there a bit later than desired. Either way, I lose money & time. Not happy - will probably NOT use Drugstore.com again. Wouldn't it be nice if this Fortune 1000 e-commerce site made an effort to warn their customers about this glitch on their site? After all, I use paypal all the time when shopping online & this is the first time I haven't been allowed to ship to a 3rd party. I just wish Drugstore.com would alert their customers to this issue BEFORE they place an order, so they don't have to go through what I just did.

Purchased two gift cards along with other purchases at my local Walgreens. When I got home, the gift cards were not in the bag with the other items, just the gift card receipts. Call the store right away and talked to Justin who said he was the manager. Explained what happened and he said he would call me back after reviewing the security tape. He called me back and said the gift cards were put in my bag and said he didn't know what happened to them after I left his store! What kind of customer service is that? Why would a customer take the time to call and go though all this hassle? Did I mention that both gift cards were for only $15 each? I will never shop at Walgreens stores again. Can't wait to tell everyone at work about this! Worst customer service ever by a company! Manager (Justin) could have checked with cashier to see if they were still at the register?

I paid for the prescription and on returning home, I found that a ** 70/30 was charged $314.54 with no discount at all. Then, I searched on Google for prices, and found the ** can be provided around $275.

I went back to Walgreens yesterday and complained about the price, they blamed the computer for not giving me the discount. I held the Walgreens card and demanded an explanation. The people at Pharmacy called the store supervisor (?) to provide a refund and a new charge of $272.99, a difference of $43.00. There was no explanation and nobody will admit any wrongdoing.

I have been a customer of Walgreens for years. I live in Hollywood, FL. My doctor's office is just over the county line in N. Miami Beach, FL. I never had a problem getting my meds (pain and otherwise) from my Walgreens in Hollywood until this whole stupid DEA/Walgreens fiasco happened. My Walgreens now NEVER has my pain meds in stock, nor does any other pharmacy. My doctor has switched me to different pain meds hoping I might be able to get THEM filled but it's always the same story. I started driving to other Walgreens. The one just down the street from my Dr's office had my meds but told me because I live in Hollywood, I must get my prescriptions in Hollywood. Yesterday, I again tried my original Walgreens but, of course, they were out of my meds, had no idea when or if they would get more and can't order them. They never know when or if they are getting them.

I drove right down the street to another Walgreens drive-thru (it is almost impossible for me to walk at all, let alone go inside every pharmacy.) I don't have a scooter/cart, my wheelchair is too heavy for me to lift in and out of my trunk, and I am not able to push myself in it anyway because of my weight and the pain in my shoulders. (Since my husband died 3 years ago, I am alone and don't have anyone to push the wheelchair). The young girl at the drive-thru window took my prescription, looked it up, looked ME up, and told me they had the med in stock. She then took my prescription and looked me up on the MAIN database because she commented that this was a new medicine for me. I told her, "Yes, it is a new medicine." I asked her if they took prescription discount cards and she said to me, "Oh, aren't you so and so (some woman's name that began with a "C") and have Aetna Ins?" I told her no, I wasn't that person and unfortunately had no ins.

All of a sudden, she said, "I'm sorry, I just noticed that your Dr. is in another town. It is Walgreens policy that you must go to a pharmacy near your Dr's office, or go to your regular Walgreens." I explained to her I had already done that first thing that morning and they had none and weren't expecting any in. I also told her I had gone to a Walgreens down the street from my Dr and THEY said Walgreens policy is that you must get your prescriptions in the area in which you LIVE. She repeated at least 5 times that I need to go to my regular Walgreens and have them order some for me, knowing that they can't do that. I told her I had been driving around for hours trying different pharmacies and she just kept repeating the same thing over and over like a robot. She then put my script and license in the bin and just walked away.

I drove back to my original Walgreens, went inside (no easy feat for me) and asked to speak to the pharmacist. I asked him what is Walgreens policy on filling pain meds. He said all Walgreens have the same policy. You must get them filled at a Walgreens in the area where you live. I asked him if it mattered whether you had insurance or not. He said no, that doesn't matter. I told him what the girl down the street had just said/done to me and he couldn't understand why she did/said that. That means that the girl at the Walgreens just down the street LIED to me for some reason. I am so tired of always being in pain and being at the whim of these horrible, unfeeling, uncaring pharmacists and pharmacist helpers. I eat Ibuprofen like candy and am destroying my stomach, liver, and bladder because of it. I have to drive around for hours for days at a time trying to get these meds that I legitimately need. My car is falling apart and has over 321,000 miles on it already.

They won't tell you over the phone if they have a pain med in stock, so you must drive to each and every pharmacy, just to be told they don't have them and don't know when or if they will again. I don't understand why, in this country, we legitimate pain patients have to go through this and why we are putting up with it. Why does the D.E.A. have all this power to do whatever they want? In the beginning, they said they cleaned up the pill mills to save lives. I understand why they got rid of the pill mills and the greedy doctors and pharmacists who were seeing patients from other states on a regular basis. Now that all that has been cleared up, why do legit Florida pain patients have to be put through the ringer and suffer like this? I personally know of 3 people who killed themselves because they couldn't get their meds, didn't have the option of driving around for hours for days and days, and couldn't stand the pain they were in. What are the poor cancer patients doing and all the elderly people here in Florida, (myself included, being 60 years old,) who are in pain? I don't understand any of this insanity.

If the D.E.A. started all this to save lives, I hate to inform them that they are making thousands of legitimate pain patients suffer and many of THEM kill themselves. But I am sure that they consider us all lowlife, unworthy drug addicts who are better off dead; in which case, why did they start all this insanity in the first place? Whenever I go to a pharmacy now, I get looks of suspicion and treated as if I am drug addict trying to scam them. I truly believe that there must be something that can be done to fix this problem. This is, after all, the U.S.A., not ** Germany. I have often said to people that I'd have better luck getting my meds in Bosnia. When I said it, it was supposed to be a joke. Now, I'm not so sure it is.

I KNOW this is way too long, but it is IMPORTANT. If you can NOT read it all skip to paragraph marked 'A' at the bottom. IT MIGHT sound like fiction BUT every word of it is true. I would place my hand on a Bible. As a customer, I could give a hoot about coupons and discounts. I WANT the OLD PHARMACY ATTITUDE & SERVICE BACK.

We have used Walgreens since the 80's, Dallas TX. Jupiter FL., New York & Boca Raton FL. Joy in Dallas. Very quick, knew my pharmacists, clean stores well stocked stores. Hey, they even called you for problems. WOW. Moved to Jupiter, located the perfect store. I loved my pharmacists, John, U.S. hwy store. GREAT attitude, went way beyond the normal to help. My husband and I require quite a few meds. If needed, he would look around, call , give the option of have it brought in or go to that location. He even built a secured drop off red mailbox to cut having to stand in the wait line.

We moved to New York for ONE YEAR. It was huge and was basically hell UNTIL I found a small prescriptions and emergency items only Walgreens with a real throw back to the old school pharmacists named Steve on 9th St. and 42nd. St.

    1. He would keep my (special meds he pre-ordered) for me to get each month in a vault so they would always be there for me each month.
    2. He even helped me locate (by phone) a couple of meds. Walgreens did not carry at a mom & pop store right down the street. They even used my insurance. He sure did not need to do that.

    3. Once, when both my husband & I were just out of the hospital, that night IN THE SNOW, he had one of the cashiers deliver my meds because his delivery guy had already done the runs for the day and I needed the meds. SHE REFUSED my tip. New Yorkers NEVER refuses tips!

    A. Then I returned to Florida. In that ONE year I was gone Walgreens was fined for some drug issues. Guys, it is now like trying to get drug from **. The pharmacists have turned into drug czars:

    1. Walgreens WILL NEVER have the THREE PRESCRIPTIONS at the same time that I require monthly.
    2. The inspection process on controlled prescriptions is IMPOSSIBLE.
    3. The pharmacy will NOT tell you IF ANY WALGREENS STORE have the meds. You have to get in your car and drive store to store.
    4. No store will process your prescription UNLESS you have a prior history with them which narrows your shopping areas.
    5. Your driver's license must be up to date with the proper address AND be in that neighborhood if you are new. IF all that is correct, then the processing time is at least 12 hours. You have to leave the hard copy while they work on the process so you can NOT even see if another store has the meds (which eliminates continuing to shop for another store in case during the clearing process they sell ALL of their monthly allotted amount they said they had when you dropped off your hard copies (THIS HAPPENED TO ME).
    6. The pharmacist are LESS than nice. They truly have turned into nasty, evil, augmenting drug czars with one answer - 'we DON'T have it at this time, and we are NOT allowed to discuss with you WHERE in the Walgreens chain you MIGHT find it. NEXT CUSTOMER'.
    7. I have spent (in ONE day) in a cab, because I can NOT DRIVE for health reasons, OVER $140.00 looking for and NEVER finding my legal meds.

    8. Finally I use a service provided by my insurance and mail them away (which is scary due to the time it takes) each month.

It is horrible; all of this is due to the lawsuit settlement. We, customers, with legal prescriptions are being punished for your settlement. I detest the new elitist attitude of the new pharmacy. They do NOT feel they are there to serve but to police. It is very sad. I miss the old Walgreens. The friendly store that truly tried to service and help people. HELP!

Neither government agency investigated and told me the pharmacist was correct and I could not prove Walgreen staff was responsible. Attorneys will not take because there is no profit (cap imposed by state) and Walgreen staff state, "We are above the law." The only way to make an impact is forming a citizen group that will boycott pharmaceutical/legislative partnership. Who will be brave enough to sign up and follow through? I understand the HIPPO law, I understand the secret Good Faith Policy Walgreens is enforcing after they were fined $80,000,000 because our state is home to pill mills that write unnecessary narcotics. But most of the people who are having their rights trampled here aren't even being run through this policy for asking the pharmacist the other types of prescriptions. And those who did try to fill a pain med prescription haven't had bogus scripts. I am in remission from pancreatic cancer since 2006. When I had chronic pancreatitis which offers extreme epigastric pain that feels like a white hot sword has been thrust into you and pushed all the way to your back & nausea like no one can possibly imagine (It's so bad that just seeing a TV commercial for food can make you start vomiting.

My daughter and I both have legitimate medical problems that require pain meds. Since the D.E.A. fined Walgreens $80 million in June 2013 for not properly controlling the sale of painkillers, it seems the innocent patients that truly need the med are being harassed and denied their pain meds at Walgreens in the State of Florida. We are not drug addicts nor are we drug dealers.

These are some of the abuse that I go through every time trying to get either my pain med or my daughter’s. Walgreens pharmacy abuse the HIPPA laws by asking private questions in front of other customers who are standing in line behind me or sitting near me waiting for their meds. "If your daughter is so sick, why isn't she on a higher dose?" “What's wrong with your daughter? Why does she need pain med?” (She has chronic Lyme disease that affected her bones, muscles, heart, CNS and now her brain.)

They told me that my daughter's ID was expired and they didn't care if she has problems going to the DMV because cancer patients can do and so could she? (My daughter just started walking this year.) Sept 2013, I went to another Walgreens and the pharmacist accused me pharmacy shopping, in front of other customers. I went there to get my daughter’s Allinia, which my other pharmacy didn't have. To save time I gave them her pain and ** med too. This same pharmacist called her physician to verify the prescription.

Today Dec.6, 2013. I went to my Walgreens yesterday and they said to come back today. I come back today and they said they are out of the pain meds, try another pharmacy. So I go to another Walgreen and the pharmacist starts yelling at me and asking why I am here, I don't live near here (I live 5 miles away) and my doctor is in another city. She told me I need to go to a doctor near her Walgreens?? I have an autoimmune problem, have been rear-ended 3x, have had a doctor near her Walgreens leak my spinal fluid, another doctor near her botched my biopsy of temporal artery. You think I want to go to any pain doctors in Palm Harbor, FL. I think not!

That doesn't give these pharmacists the right to discriminate against certain patients especially since I have been going to these Walgreens since 1988. Something has to be done regarding the unethical treatment of legitimate patients. They gave the wrong heart med and another wrong med to my daughter, funny how Walgreens keeps that quiet.

11/19/13 - I enter the store I use for prescriptions at around 7 p.m. (I'm flying out of town early the next morning). I have paper prescriptions I hand to the "floater" pharmacist ** an Indian or Pakistani because I was told I was out of refills on them. I said I'd wait for all to be done. 3.75 hrs. later, I was missing the prescriptions and leaving the store with one returned who refused to give me her name and a couple of refills. She refuses to fill the anti-depressant I have been prescribed by a Dr. Irl ** who has treated me for years for depression, insomnia & anxiety (Voted one of the top 10 Psychiatrists in S. Florida, he has been my doctor regardless of which town I have to in S.E. Florida). His record is spotless.

But this young woman refuses and says the drugs are dangerous in combination. Then she refuses to fill the paper prescription because it's for too many tablets for the 30-day supply. I tell her that's the dosage he prescribed and has before - she will see that if she checks in the computer. She sees that's true. But says she'll call the doctor (it's now after 8 p.m.). I'm leaving for California and must not stop those prescriptions "on a dime" as they have serious effects if that is done. She then refuses a prescription my endocrinologist prescribed for my type 2 diabetes and my Synthroid. Spoke with the assistant mgr. on duty. He goes into the counter area to talk to her & check these meds on her history of me - she sees that this has been what I have taken and that it's the same doctor. He shrugs and gets my script back. I get my insulin but not my **. She also refuses an ointment my eye surgeon prescribed.

None of these is on the narcotics hit-list Walgreens has in this secret policy but I didn't know about that policy on the 19th. I come home after being extremely ill without my proper medications while away i.e., try a glucose monitor telling you a score of 525.). The store I called for the Store mgr. when I got back (store is W. Commercial Blvd. & NW 64th in Tamarac, FL where I currently live). 12/2/13 I called and got ** the night pharmacist who told me there was a faxed prescription in from Dr. ** on the 19th and didn't they tell me that and why she didn't fill it made no sense to him. Then I called at night 12/3/13 and again spoke with the Assistant Mgr. **. I made it clear I needed a call back from the store mgr. as the Pharmacy Mgr. was out till next week. Finally I got to spoke with ** 12/4/13. He spoke with me for over 2 hrs. convincing me not to get an attorney, not to get the media involved, saying all would be filled but they didn't have the script.

I looked and found it and went to the store. At the drive-thru a pharmacy tech took the paper script for this medication and said they'd call tomorrow to verifying it. I had no idea why. When I asked him to ask the pharmacist when it might be ready for pick up, a new "floater" came to the drive-thru window telling me she would not fill it under any circumstances and it had to do with an in-store policy she would not explain or name. As I drove away, I stopped in the parking lot and called the store. They no longer pick up and one is routed to a call ctr. anywhere in the country. This night I spoke to a Jane in Tucson, AZ. She said there's was no legal reason for refusing the prescription now or back on the 19th of November. She saw nothing wrong but had no clue about the "secret policy" of this store the pharmacist had mentioned as her reason for not filling the script.

I asked for her supervisor and got someone named Jeannette who agreed to call the pharmacy and ask why ** would refuse the prescription. After a while on hold, Jeannette came back on the line and said she was told it was because the Good Faith Policy was run by this pharmacist and at her discretion because she thought the medications I have been prescribed didn't "mix" and she could refuse it. I asked what this Good Faith policy was and Jeannette said she didn't know. I said I wished to read it and she said to Google it.

Bottom Line: I am ill due to their negligence. I am pulling all prescriptions tomorrow and going to CVS. I will bring all the news stations' camera crews down there if possible and alert the newspaper to what has been done to me. I recently had eye surgery 10/25/13 and had a small prescription (7 tablets) of pain meds filled after the hospital released me at another Walgreens location. If that's what tripped this insanity - I will be fighting for pain & suffering and any doctor bills arising from their screwed up games. My doctors (from my PCP to any specialists) are all doctors with clean records and none have been party to any "pill mill" activities.

I am totally disgusted with Walgreens!!! You have stolen from me and are not willing to do anything to remedy the situation! I purchased a BLU starter pack from store #07206 and found that the batteries did not work. I went to the store and they said that they were not willing to give me an exchange on the faulty merchandise. They said I had to call corporate and that corporate would at least give me some kind of gift certificate or something. I just got off the phone with your customer representative, and like the person at the store, was unwilling to do ANYTHING about it! This is stealing!! You are using the convenience of saying that it is state law not to give refunds.

Well, first off, there is no sign anywhere saying that you do not give exchanges or refunds on electronic cigarettes. Secondly, your corporate customer rep said it is written on the back of the receipt, IT IS NOT, your own customer rep was BS'ing. Even if it was on the back of the receipt you sound stupid saying that because you get the receipt AFTER the purchase! It is like saying here is the contract after the deal is made.

I am so sick of people not wanting to take responsibility! Walgreens is all about "its corporate policy" or "the system does not allow us to do that". We do not live in a world of men anymore. People just like Walgreens, are content to rip off customers and just blame policy, or the system, or another department, or the government, etc. Nobody at Walgreens has the courage to say yes, it is our problem selling you faulty merchandise, here is your replacement or store credit, etc... What would happen if everybody did what Walgreens does? Can you imagine, I could tell all the people I pay bills to "sorry, it is family policy not to pay in cash, we have a barter system so there is nothing I can do about it".

Yes, if we all took a page from Walgreens, bills would not get paid, wrongs would not be righted. What if I went into Walgreens and started opening merchandise to taste, try or smell and told the store staff "It is my policy to sample the products before I buy them to make sure I like them". Yes, what if starting now, I decided to go into all the Walgreens stores I could find, and opened item after item, just to see what it was like? Like a 40 dollar bottle of vitamins here, a 30-dollar toy there, a bag of dog food, bottles of shampoo, candy bars, etc... Having to take all kinds of stuff off shelves because the wrapper, box, or container have been opened. It would get expensive!

If Walgreens can avoid being responsible adults and business people with ethical standards, then why can't their consumers do the same? So in summary I am going to post this on every possible blog I can and obviously by word of mouth tell all that I can about this situation. Your corporate customer rep after telling me that she would not do a thing to remedy this situation AND again, saying that policy is on the back of the receipt which is NOT true, ended by saying "Is there anything else I CAN HELP YOU WITH TODAY?" What a sarcastic thing to say!! She presumes that she helped me with the first issue which could not be further from the truth. Instead she should say, "Is there anything that I can do to shift responsibility to you or the government or anybody else regarding another Walgreens purchase?"

My husband and I are very furious at the Walgreens on Washington Road and Belair Road in Evans, Ga. My husband was diagnosed with kidney stones late this past Saturday night and was rushed to the ER. He was prescribed 20- 5mg ** for pain. He had them filled at a Rite Aid right by our house on Sunday morning at 8 am when they opened. He was taking them as directed but around the clock because he had not yet passed the stones. He had a CT scan, was on ** (sp) to help with the kidney stones as well. The next day (Monday) he had a follow up appointment with a urologist that he was referred to. The urologist prescribed him an additional 15- 5mg ** since he still had not yet passed the stones. He tried to get them filled at a local Walgreens (our usual pharmacy) around 7:30 pm Monday night, approximately 36 hours after the original prescription was filled.

Walgreens told him that it had not been 2 days since his first prescription was filled and it was a 2-day prescription. He also said that our insurance would not cover it. My husband thanked him and almost left to come back the next day but the pharmacist continued by asking him why he had gone through his first prescription so quickly, why he needed them today, and he didn't feel comfortable filling the prescription at all. My husband was FURIOUS. He went off on that pharmacist and told him that he had NO IDEA what was wrong with him and had no right to judge him or make him feel like a drug addict pill head. These scripts were written by an ER doctor AND a urologist who are both affiliated with the same hospital (they share charts). If both of these credible physicians think it is okay and in my husband's best interest to take this medication, what right does the pharmacist (who has less medical knowledge than a REAL doctor) have to tell ANYONE that he is refusing to refill the prescription.

To make matters worse, we called the insurance company that same night to verify that they weren't able to cover the prescription cost until the next day, and they told me that they could cover it that day! The pharmacist LIED to my husband. He just didn't want to fill it because he profiled my husband. My husband is a server at a restaurant and he went to the pharmacy in his work clothes, which is black pants, black shoes, and a black shirt. He didn't look his best but he had been at work for almost 12 hours in a double shift. I think how they treat their customers is inexcusable and something needs to be done. I will not REST until Walgreens PAYS for how they treated my husband during this difficult time in his life. If there is a class action suit against them and their treatment of patients and refusal to dispense medication, I would like to join. I already filed 2 direct complaints with their corporate office but of course I haven't heard a word back yet. They better know that we aren't going to go away.

This month as usual I went to fill my prescription at Walgreens. I have never had a problem with getting shorted pills the last 37 years of my life, so I usually don't count them when I get my prescription. They are pharmacists, right? Are they not supposed to have some kind of professionalism? There was even a piece of "something" in my bottle which looked like some kind of chopped pill... The reason I counted these was because the bottle they gave me was too small to fit the amount of pills which were supposed to be in the bottle.

Good thing I did because I was shorted 8 pills, and I cannot be short this type of medication or I will have seizures. Well I called Walgreens and they did not care whatsoever about the fact that I was shorted, they said that they double and triple count their pills. That does not explain why some foreign object or pill was in my bottle. They said that there was nothing that they could do and treated me like **.

Even if you have been going to Walgreens for years, I highly suggest that you count your pills right there in the store in front of them; because as soon as you walk out those doors, it becomes completely your problem. Where my wife and I live, there are not many pharmacies so we will definitely keep everyone updated. I honestly think they just rush and try to get as many scripts filled as possible. I was wondering if anyone knew if I could sue them if I seize because every time I do not have my medication, I seize. I am honestly terrified and am so afraid for those two days and half of a next day. Please help.

I proceeded to go back to the pharmacy where there were a couple of people ahead of me so I waited my long awaited turn. The two young men who were loitering came back to the pharmacy where one of them loudly made some comment about the army in an aggressive attention getting fashion. My inner protective alarm went off, as would, I hoped the employees, namely the pharmacist and the nonexistent security.

When it was my turn, I gave my prescription where the pharmacist blurted out in front of these rambunctious, hoodlum types, "I'll check on your **." Oh my God, she did not just say that! Why couldn't she say "your prescription"? Then she proceeded to blurt out my address with the apt. number in front of these guys. I was in shock that she could be so careless. I was speechless. She then told me when it would be ready. I told myself there is no way I'm coming back at that time... Flabbergasted, I turned away where this kid I have been talking about yelled, "Ma'am, do you sell your **?" Full of fear, I said no and got the hell out of there, doing of looking behind in my rear view, and have been ever since. I stay at my friend's house and dyed my hair. People kill for this drug, rob whatever. I'm not taking any chances.

It's been two weeks and because of this pharmacist, I'm living in fear. My roommate calls me this morning telling me last night at 3:30 in the morning, some female pounds on the door yelling, "I need to use your phone to call my case manager!" My roommate, thank God, said, "Get away from here or I'll call the police!" where this woman says, "Please don't call the police!" Like I said, I haven't stayed at my house since this Walgreen's disaster. I have no proof that the two things that happened are related, but it's very possible.... It's just too bizarre. These pharmacists and their techs need to keep our info private!!!! Especially when it's a prescription that is very much in demand on the street. This world is crazy and she made my life be in danger!!! I am so upset!!!

I have been dealing with Walgreens pharmacy for 10 years since moving to Florida. I have never had a good experience with them. Not once. My last experience tops them all... I went there and dropped off a prescription from my Doctor for an anti-seizure medication. After picking it up, I received a call from them that the girl filled the wrong milligram amount. I could not get a ride back until the next day for them to fix it. THEY made the mistake. THEY never apologized and soon thereafter they decided that even if my medical insurance paid for me to pick up a prescription THEY were going to hold it hostage until the VERY day it runs out. To me, they are playing fast and wild with my health. It's disgusting. There is a woman there named Jennifer that works there and I constantly hear her discussing me with her co-workers when I walk in. It was finally confirmed when I was in the drive-thru and my boyfriend was at the counter asking the pharmacist a question. Completely unprofessional and dangerous behavior. All over a mistake she clearly made. How sad.

I'm really suffering regarding not having my medication. The one in question is **. I take 90mg a day and have done so since 1993. I have to buy through Walgreens since this is part of my Medicare Part D plan through AARP or I'd gone someplace different long ago and would never ever purchase another medication from Walgreens after the ordeal I've been through. Had to take back Pfizer brand ** due to an ineffective lot# and have replaced with a newer one. I'm on day nine and still haven't been able to have it replaced.

My main issue is the rudeness of the pharmacy staff from Techs to Pharmacists. One tech who looks to be right from college is the rudest woman I've ever had dealt with and then when confronting the Store Manager, he wasn't any better! I just wanted to find out when to expect my replacements in since being told it only be 3-5 working days. She said, they still aren't in and asked her when I could expect them? She then said, "we'll" call you once they are received. I had to speak with the store manager and he asked her to call and find out when they are coming in, then said to her, "Allison" doing a wonderful job. Great job, can't even get her to find out when they are arriving.

Then I found out after she called them my ** hasn't even been shipped and this was 8 days ago. They still have my returns lying out and asked if I could have them to take to another Walgreens. She said, "NO," they must be sent to Pfizer. SO I had to ask, why do you still have my meds lying on the counter from 8 days ago. Never received an answer as she walked me off. From retail I've done in the past, if doing this to a customer, would had been fired!! So, I can't get my medication and having serious withdrawals along with my symptoms coming back for which it's prescribed. I basically feel like death worked over. I'm almost ready to contact an attorney. Please do yourself a favor and avoid Walgreens, Kokomo, IN 46902 on South LaFountain St.

I called large companies and the local ones. I was able to get a one month Rx for $22. My Rx was written for 3 months but because I was paying out of pocket, they filled it and gave me refills. Another option is to go to Pfizer's web page and see if you don't qualify for free Rx. There are forms to fill out. One from you and one from your doctor. Every three months you call the doctor's office, they call Pfizer and Pfizer will send 3 months to your doctor's office for free. They also have a discount program if you don't qualify for the free Rx.

I asked this young lady, "Can I get this filled here?" and she looked at the Doctor's name and the name of his office and said they were no longer filling ANY prescriptions from this office. She had this smile on her face and she also sneered about it as she was telling me NO. I got a hold of the Manager and got him involved. I then placed a call on the 16th of October and have yet to have anyone contact me about this Walgreens' employee who needs a lesson on customer service skills. It's been a TOTAL runaround with these people as I have even talked to the executives in this department and still have gotten nothing done by them. All they are good at doing is LIP SERVICE. After one year of paying this cost, I had to decide either to get off the medication which would have been very detrimental to my health or change to a more affordable treatment. Before I actually made a decision, a friend suggested I try Costco Pharmacy as a last ditch effort and to my incredible surprise their cost for the exact same medication, dosage and 3-month supply was $99.00. My husband who has many health problems including chronic pain has been filling all of his prescriptions at Walgreens in New Jersey for several years. He has been on ** 30mg for approximately 4 years. As of last week, we were given the run around stating that there is a shortage. We called his pain management doctor and explained this to him. He told us to take the script to another Walgreens. We did so after Walgreens in Bellmawr, NJ held the script for an entire week stating that the ordered the medication for us. On 10/11, we went to Walgreens to check on the status and were told that the medication never came in. So we proceeded to follow the doctor's orders and go to another pharmacy.

We took the script to Walgreens in Magnolia, NJ, was told that the medication was in stock but they had to verify the script with his doctor. 2 hours later, we received a call from the pharmacist stating that she could not fill the script due to their "GOOD FAITH POLICY". When I asked what that policy was, she would not explain it to us. When I asked her should we contact his doctor's office, she stated, "You can do what you want but I can't advise you to do anything." I think this is absolutely ridiculous that Walgreens can do this to people. What happens when someone dies from withdrawal due to Walgreens' practice? Who gives them the right to say who should be on what medication? Something seriously needs to be done about Walgreens.

He was put on hold and transferred several times for 45 minutes. When someone finally gave him a fax number, it was the wrong number (not even a fax). Finally, after more holding, transferring, faxing, they said they would have the medications ready by 9 p.m. (when we would arrive in Bakersfield). When we got to the pharmacy at 9:30 p.m., they did not even have the prescriptions! I was told I had to come back in an hour. When I came back at 10:30 p.m., I had to wait in the drive-up window for 15 minutes before someone would even ask me what I was there for.

The service at Walgreens is horrible. We always have to wait in long lines, whether it is walk-in or drive-thru, while there is a bunch of employees standing around and talking to themselves, never in a hurry to help customers. The Walgreens we go to is on the corner of Callaway Drive and Hageman Road in Bakersfield, CA. We have had enough and transferred to another pharmacy.

When we transferred our prescriptions, we received a call from a Walgreens rep. After telling him all of our complaints, he basically said he has heard them all before and there was nothing he could do. How sad! Walgreens cannot help with poor customer service. In my experience in business, that will eventually lead to its failure.

I've also been questioned by a call center pharmacist telling me I don't have the authority to call in meds when I've been doing so daily for many years!!?? I'm an RN with a BSN. Did something suddenly change I'm unaware of? Or is Walgreens getting cheaper with their quality and quantity of employees??!! They used to have some of the most educated pharmacists who knew the answers reliably but now what I'm getting are pharmacists who argue with me and tell me insurance "won't cover" this or that, especially a vacation override for a child.

I tell them, call the agency as yes they do. They verbally tell me finally okay, they'll call. I learn child went without meds entirely because Walgreens assumes they know better and never even bothered to call the agency and told me, "We don't keep a record of calls we make to Medicaid because we don't have to!" Well Medicaid does keep a record of every call! They verified for me that "Walgreens never called" them for the approval. Since when do they get to blow off doing what is requested by the provider in the best interests of the patient, and not even call the provider back to report they couldn't get it and why?? I could get through but they needed the pharmacy to call them directly as the vacation override is like a refill too soon. They even lazily frequently told patients the insurance wouldn't cover scripts they brought in this summer without even attempting to run them first! Instead, poor people had to find their way back to dr's office only to have RN call pharmacy and instruct them the preferred meds changed and it would be accepted. Just a ridiculous waste of all of our time and money! Walgreens also lost out on sales due to this stubbornness on their own staff's part. Wasting doctors' and nurses' time with call centers is just unacceptable to me!!

I avoid Walgreens because of past dissatisfaction. Husband had surgery and wanted a root beer float. This is Sunday. I am looking at the sale ads for Walgreens. They have his favorite ice cream on sale (Blue Belle). They also had 12 packs of A&W, 7-Up and Orange Crush on sale. Plus I cut the coupons for honey and kettle corn out. I checked to make sure I had enough money in the bank as we had spent a lot with the hospital bill. I had more than enough. Drove all the way to town to get these items. Husband waits in car while I run in.

All sale soda items I wanted are out, but all soda products that were on sale were gone except diet which we do not drink. I asked where all the sale items are. They acted very nonchalant about the question. Just, "We don't have any." One person did check in the back, but very nonchalantly said there is none. I was very disappointed as I knew my husband said, "If you go to Walgreens, you will be sorry." Well they did have the honey (1 left) and the kettle corn. I was so worried they would be out of the ice cream. They had that, thank goodness. Their disconcern was very aggravating.

I settled for 1 2-liter bottle of A&W and 1 2-liter bottle of Sprite. Oh they were 2 for a dollar I guess. Go to the counter to pay. Same girl is at register. She asks if I have a rewards card (you need one to get the sale prices, it has been along time since I have visited a Walgreens). No I do not have a card. She gave me one of course. Proceeded to pay for items with debit card. Did not go through on 1st try (people behind waiting patiently). 2nd try, her comment was, "This has been acting up." It does not work. I take my last money out of my purse and pay her as I am embarrassed and angry. Leave and go directly to bank.

My husband gets a small amount out of bank with no problem. I am no rocket scientist, but I can think of at least 10 things I could have done to make my situation better. We called the store the next morning and surprisingly the manager was very apologetic. Offered to put some aside for us. No thanks, I will probably never go out of my way for a good deal gone bad again.

This is about the Walgreens in Monroe, MI. I recently decided to switch pharmacies since Walgreens is open 24 hours a day. At least the one by my house is. My other pharmacy was only open Monday-Friday 8-6 which is not very convenient for anyone who works. I went the first week to have my script filled which is for ADHD, although I take it due to my severe sleep apnea and fatigue. When my husband and I got out to the car, I opened the bag and pulled the bottle out to check that everything was correct.

Well it was visually obvious as soon as I pulled the bottle out of the bag that I did not have the correct amount of medication. This medication is taken twice a day, every day. So I opened the bottle and counted to make sure before I made any accusations. There were only 30 pills. I went back into the pharmacy immediately and spoke with the pharmacist who read on a computer that the correct amount had been dispensed. I told her there was no way and showed her my receipt that said I had paid for them less than five minutes ago. She went back behind the wall to check something (their count I'm assuming) and when she came back, she apologized and gave me the correct amount.

One week later, I went to have two other scripts filled. One of these was a controlled substance for anxiety. Since I do not take it every day and my husband picked these up for me, I did not open the bag until the next day. Once again I was supposed to have 60 and there were only 30 pills in the bottle. When I called the pharmacy, they were less than helpful. They stated they had dispensed 60 and that their count was right. Well the bag was still stapled when I had opened it. So if the pharmacy tech is telling the truth and I know I am telling the truth, that means whoever dispensed and/or packaged them in the bag stole 30 pills from one of their former customers.

I called corporate to complain and they told me someone would call me in two business days (on a Monday). It is now Friday and I just called corporate back to inform them that I never received a call back. Needless to say, I will be going back to my old pharmacy. Yes the hours are more inconvenient but the staff is trustworthy at least.

Secondly, the Pharmacist had to approve the fill and the topper.... they had to contact my Doctor. I had never been treated like this at any other pharmacy as long as I had been on pain medication. For years I used Happy Harry's here in Delaware. They were a small independent chain in Delaware. When it was Happy Harry's, everything was wonderful. The prices of everything in the store were better. They always had some great deals / sales and the pharmacy was excellent. Walgreens ended up buying out Happy Harry's and that's when everything went downhill. Recently they have been screwing up my prescriptions.

I am a diabetic, so it is very important that I receive my medication. Here recently they have been automatically refilling little things, like pen needles (that I already have probably 15 unopened boxes of) or pricker needles (once again, 15 unopened boxes). They call and tell me to pick it up within 48 hours. All of a sudden, it went from 7 days to just 2 days. They automatically refill every single little thing except for my main insulin. My once daily insulin even gets automatically refilled numerous times. But my main insulin, I'm lucky if I can even get them to fill it, much less refill it. There is always a "problem".

Today was the last straw with this awful establishment. I was running low on insulin, so I figured I'd call Walgreens and see why the heck they hadn't filled my prescription from 08/08/2013. They said they didn't have anything on file, to check back with the doctor's office. So I call my doctor's office. They said everything was filled out and faxed over on 08/08. Walgreens calls back with their automatic fill / refill reminder. It says that my insulin is ready for pick up. Oh, wow! I got it filled without any "problems"! I go pick up my insulin. I get home and notice my insulin is actually pen needles. I haven't had a problem free insulin fill / refill in close to a year. Ever since right around this "Rewards Card" thing went into effect, somehow my prescriptions have been getting all screwed up. They blame the doctor, the doctor blames the insurance company and the insurance company blames the doctor, the pharmacy and of course me.

I put up with Walgreens way too long. As soon as I got home and realized their mistake I went to Rite-Aid's website and transferred my prescription. It's pretty bad I have to contact all three (the doctor, pharmacy and insurance company) when Walgreens screws up, because they won't admit it and end up playing the blame game. Usually the doctor's office holds all the answers. The insurance company is useless in trying to figure out any of this. I sure hope other Walgreens pharmacy customers at least get the proper prescription and don't get lied to.

I immediately called the pharmacy and told them of their error... She says, "Oh, let me check our inventory for any overages" Guess what? Their inventory was correct, imagine that. Since they are a class II controlled substance, they can't give me the difference without a new prescription, which my Dr. said they would not do! Seems to me, someone at the pharmacy is lining their pockets with other people's pills. I have been short before in the past because when I got halfway through my prescription, I would be short by 2 or 4. I think this is total BS. Seems like as long as you leave the store before you count them, it's your fault... So as long as they say their inventory is correct, they can STEAL whatever they want to!!

On November 11, 2011, I sustained a bad fall in one of Walgreens stores located in Palo Alto, CA and injured my right shoulder and neck. Unfortunately, due to my age, I have experienced a lot of pain and I have had received medical care as well as missed work time as a result of this injury.

Unfortunately, Sedgwick Corporation, who works for Walgreens, has assigned Mr. James ** as their adjustor for my case. Honestly, he has not performed well and his services are inadequate due to his inability to handle this claim fairly and reasonably. My expenses are high, not to mention the pain and suffering that I have endured. Mr. ** is uncooperative and refuses to settle this claim to cover the expenses and I am extremely frustrated. Per my Attorney, Sedgwick & Walgreens refuse to review the correspondence sent to them regarding medical treatments and expenses incurred due to this injury. I am disappointed because Sedgwick’s services handling this claim has caused me grief and it is not being reviewed adequately and my Attorney has gone back several times to get this resolved fairly.

There were two witnesses as the Walgreens at the time of the accident and the Manager took a report and pictures of the flooring at the time of the accident so there should be no doubt that Walgreens is at fault. My Attorney stated that the Sedgwick’s Adjustor is not cooperative and unwilling to help or provide pictures/evidence and other documentation pertaining to this accident.

To resolve the problem, I would appreciate that your organizations inform all seniors. Please let me know who I can get the word out regarding senior and AARP members who may be loyal customers of Walgreens. They may also experience this unacceptable treatment from Walgreens and/or Sedgwick regarding their services to seniors. What does it take to for Corporation’s to provide fair and equitable treatment to senior’s who rely and depend on community pharmacies.

This is very bad and that is why I am soliciting your immediate assistance because I am very disappointed with this situation AND Walgreens because seniors should be treated respectfully at all times. Although Sedgwick is hired to represent, please note that they are not cooperative and are not demonstrating characteristics of a reputable company. I trust this is not the way that wishes to conduct business with valued customers.

I have used Walgreens mail drug service for years. Did a pretty good job. Then catamaran took over. I called up for my quarterly refills and asked for the costs. I was given 4 values... one for each drug. When they came in the mail they were $25 each. I called and said I was over charged. I was told it was impossible for anyone to have given me the values. (yea right like I made this up for about $35). Then I called the head of benefits at my spouse's company. I was given a customer service number to call. I called and was told they will get back to me in a day or two... what BS... I have since contacted my credit card company, the FTC, and the state Attorney General. This company has millions of customers... we pretty much have no choice... multiply my $35 by millions of customers... you get the picture.

Catamaran's story is they are trying to integrate all of the new customers and offer more... I have designed software since the 1980's... The software is not the problem, unless they are making it the problem to generate more profits... "by accident".

I have a prescription for several medications, some are for the heart, some are for the blood pressure, and then I have medication for pain. I had always used Walgreens for yrs until recently they refused to take Blue Cross Shield and directed me to CVS. So for about a yr I have used CVS who never seem to have my medicine. I ended up without insurance this yr. and since I had no insurance decided to go back to Walgreens. I had used my discount card for my other meds and it help greatly. I stopped there a while ago to get my pain meds filled and was seriously treated like a criminal.

After being told last week that they accept my card now suddenly they don't. The pharmacist stated, "Yes, I have the medicine but won't fill that by itself." So I pulled out another prescription for my heart (which I didn't need filled yet). He shook his head and stated, "That one will cost you 468.00 and pain meds 200.00." I stated I can't afford all that and he laughed at me and stated "oh well!" so I got out another prescription that I don't need filled yet but thought maybe it was cheaper and he then tossed them all back at me and said, "I'm just not going to fill it. None of them!" All because I was trying to figure out how to get my medicine as cheap a possible.

I knew where to go and get it filled with no problems, but it’s so high I wanted to try Walgreens and use a discount card. This Pharmacist humiliated me and made me feel like dirt on the bottom of his shoe. As I walked out I spoke to the manager, who took my complaint. But that was that. I went and easily had it filled at the expensive place. I'm so sick of being treated like a criminal when I'm paying dearly for my medication and have so much pain I usually can't walk. I can't move my neck and my back is broke. I suppose that makes me a criminal. I will get some relief tonight because I paid $317.00 (one medication filled) for my medication somewhere that they don't treat me bad.

I have a very serious scoliosis since age 8 and have had several surgeries for which I see this doctor. I went to your drive thru at the pharmacy, and told the employee that I wanted to drop off the prescription my doctor wrote me and fill it later because I still had some left from June. When I did try to fill it, your employee told me they don't do that and could not find my prescription. If that is not company policy why didn't she tell me when I tried to drop the prescription off and give it back to me instead of saying ok and letting me leave? Now I have been without medicine for three days and by the way your Battlefield Parkway store holds prescriptions for me all the time, so is every store policy different? It was your employee's error not to give me my written prescription back. I will not use your store again on Ringgold Road and I will be posting this along with what I see online today as 428 complaints.

I began using Walgreens about 8 years ago. I had all of my prescriptions filled there and they were located within a great location of my home in Ft Lauderdale. I've been on several prescription medications for over 20 years due to heart disease, stroke, thyroid and recently Degenerative Bone Synopsis. I've been taking pain medication for approx 2 years now due to my back. At first I noticed not only on every street corner a new Walgreens being opened but about 2 years ago I noticed the cost of some of my medications going up three and four times within a year. I started paying a copay of $7.00 for one of my scripts and during that year it went to $12.00 then $ 18.00 then $22.00 which was more than my copay. Then I began having issues of the pharmacy telling me it was too soon to refill when the script was written for one tablet every 4 hours. They refused to refill and told me I had to come back 4 days later.

I took the script to a different local pharmacy that same day and it went thru Insurance and was filled with no issues. At this point I and a few friends of mine decided to pull our prescriptions from Walgreens. I now use Walmart's 90 day $10.00 program for 95% of my scripts. In April I was let go from my job due to disability and have been going thru the stages of Social Security Disability. In the meantime I lost also my health care. I still use Walmart's 90 day drug plan as it doesn't require insurance, but they don't handle my anxiety and pain medications. I pay cash for now for my doctor's visits as well as my medications. I recently had a followup with my doctor and He refilled my pain medication. I decided to take it to Walgreens since it was right next to doctor's office and was told they don't have any and have been waiting 2 to3 weeks.

I then did the drive walk in and check at CVS and another Walgreens. I was sent a prescription discount card, the CVS said they also were waiting 2 to 3 weeks come back the following week, then I decided to try the local Walgreens in my neighborhood. They had the medication so I asked her to tell me the cost cash price using the up to 75% discount card. The cash cost I was given was $246.00. I asked what the normal cost was and the rep at the pharmacy said $250.00. I said a $4.00 discount, she tried pointing the finger at the discount card company and said, "They get you by stating up to 75%." I took the script and made a final decision to never step foot back into a Walgreens again. I contacted the discount card company and to my surprise was told it was the pharmacies that made the prices of the discounts not the discount card company. Walgreens is the one that determined to offer less than 1% discount.

I decided today to take the script into a local pharmacy I've dealt with before that script cost cash that Walgreens wanted $250.00 for cost me $89.00. WOW, I WAS SHOCKED..... I now give Walgreens NONE OF MY BUSINESS as well as any of my friends and my roommate have all moved all of their scripts to other companies. TOO BAD, WALGREENS, YOU THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO OPEN A STORE COCOON EVERY CORNER AND THEN OVER CHARGE YOUR CUSTOMERS. LET'S SEE HOW LONG YOU LAST IN THE MARKETPLACE.

I live in between 2 states because to be honest it has been too much on my body to stay up north in the winter. So we travel back and forth about every 6 months or so. I have 1 doctor who writes my pain prescriptions and only went to Walgreens like I was told. I've been doing this for the last couple of years. Over the weekend I went to get my meds filled and was denied because the pharmacist thinks I spend too much time in one state than the other and Walgreens policy is the doctor's office needs to be in the same area as the pharmacy. I told her I go to the doctor every 2 months and get 2 months of meds so when the date is up, I fill them where I am. Why does it matter if I am in Ohio or Florida or wherever?

As long as the prescription is real and I never had a problem with doing anything illegal with my meds. What is the issue? Medicare knows I have 2 addresses and so does the doctor. So why are these pharmacists playing doctor? I even asked since I've been going to that exact pharmacy (however she is not a pharmacist I ever saw). Can she fill it this last time and I will talk to my doctor and figure something out next month? She told me no and that I need to go drive back up north to fill it. I left with no medicine. These pharmacists know darn well that people on pain meds need them or they cannot even get out of bed. We are on them for a reason not to be a junkie! I feel so stupid, like I am bad for taking my medicine. They have got to find a better way to handle this problem rather than to punish the patients really in pain! It just isn't fair to us...

I have had numerous problems getting my pain meds filled at Walgreens however I also have approximately 15 other medications I get filled there because I have stage IV colorectal cancer so I am just finally switching after this last episode. I brought in my valid prescription from my oncologist for 15 mg **. I am also on 30 mg **. The pharmacist questioned why am I on two different dosages. It seems obvious that one is for greater pain and the other is for lesser. She then told me I should just cut my 30 mgs in half! The doctor should make this suggestion not someone without a medical degree!

4 out of 5 times when I go to get my pain meds they interrogate me about these two medications even though they know me, I have been on the same meds from same oncologist for a year and have been getting them filled strictly at Walgreens. There is nothing to indicate I am seeing more than one doctor, going to various pharmacies etc. They are also aware that I have cancer. This pharmacist (don't know if I am allowed to use her name) refused to fill my script only because she thinks I am on too much meds!!! I have stage IV cancer!!! When I reminded her I have cancer she smirked like I am making it up! Maybe if I lost my hair and weighed 90 pounds she would fill it??

They are obviously profiling and playing doctor. Walgreens management has given them the green light to do whatever they want and 90% of them are now on a major power trip. When I became irate she called the manager over to escort me out of the store and threatened to call the police! I was simply trying to ask her WHY she made this decision! She was extremely rude, condescending and didn't care that a person with terminal cancer won't have their meds. There is a class action lawsuit against Walgreens via a law firm Morgan & Morgan (877) 667-4265. I encourage anyone who has had similar problems to join in with us.

At approximately 8:30 the morning of July 9, 2013, I attempted to fill a prescription for generic ** at the Walgreens pharmacy at 300 University Ave., Palo Alto, CA. The pharmacist on duty refused to fill the prescription without first contacting my doctor. I asked why that was necessary, as I have filled the prescription numerous times from different doctors at Walgreens pharmacies for years with no such limitation. "I have to find out if your doctor still feels you need the medication." I responded that the prescription clearly authorized four refills. That should be sufficient, even if I were a customer unknown to their computer system, for the pharmacist to fill the prescription without bothering my physician with superfluous queries, or insulting my intelligence.

She informed me that, there is a real problem with these drugs getting on the street; a tautology that merely added insult to injury. When I noted that she had not answered, or even addressed, my question, she said she would speak to me in a moment. Even as the only customer I, in good faith, accepted her claim to be too busy at the moment to speak to me. She lied right to my face... Instead of coming to speak to me, she loosed security on me, in the form of an assistant manager (with no familiarity with, let alone knowledge of, the procedures in dispute). By that time, I had had enough of this insulting treatment.

Clearly, this pharmacist decided, in her own misguided discretion, to make an exception to normal procedure in my case... Responding to my reasonable question with an explanation that merely stated the obvious only fed my growing suspicion of her (perhaps unconscious) racial bias... My prescription was not accepted on face value, as it should have been. I not only dispute the reasons given, but protest the insulting inference of some sort of duplicity on my part.

My treatment (both patronizing and demeaning) after making my concerns known I found even more offensive than the unwarranted extra vigilance applied to my prescription. I contend that the fact that I am an African American male cannot reasonably be discarded as motivation (whether conscious or unconscious, whether combined with other factors or not) for the discriminatory manner in which I was treated at this pharmacy. Please let me know what I have to do in order to transfer my pharmacy account to CVS Pharmacies.

I waited until the day of the 28th shortly after midnight. The pharmacist on duty informed me of a policy I was unaware of. That policy being Walgreens does not begin the next day until 4am and not 12am as most would think. My complaint doesn't require much more explanation. 12:01am is the start of the next day no matter how you look at it. If this had been a law I would have no choice but to comply. But this being a Walgreen Policy an exception should have been made. My doctor specifically wrote the script to be filled on 07/28/13. Why is 4am now the new turn of the day? Has anyone heard of this and is there anything I can do to show my anger for being told something that seems so untrue and doesn't make much sense?

I tried to call, they didn't answer. I tried again line busy... so I went in today, advised him he could contact my doctor, but I didn't think it was legal for him to asked a 3rd party beside my doctor for my medical conditions under HIPAA laws.

He had me wait over 30 minutes while he contacted my Doctor, came back, told me he had to contact state. I say no problem call whoever he needed to. I waited close to another 30 minutes and he said he wasn't filling scripts. I asked why, did he call My Doctor and did he call the state, what was wrong? He told me he didn't have to say why he wasn't filling and that laws had changed. Asked him what laws and asked where were they posted. He give me a yellow sign saying he had a right to refuse to fill any prescription. My son was with me, asked him when it went into effect. He said a few months ago. My son told him that was not the truth because they had filled same meds last month, in June.

We walked to front and asked for manager, told him what had happened and Manager said it was true, new state law. Son asked him when it went into effect. He said March. I advised scripts filled there last month. I asked he isn't it illegal to ask a 3rd party for my medical condition. He said I was wrong, he could ask. I said my doctor but not my daughter... I call customer service twice. 1st person said no new laws she knew of, but he has the right to deny anyone he wanted to. Asked her how he could based on looks, how can he do that? She disconnected call. I called back... told this person what had happened. Asked to document..... I would like to know why he refused my scripts? I was not on any medication, they are all overdue. I told him he could call anyone he needed to.

I don't believed my appearance should warrant this. I am a 56 yrs old black female, very modest in attire and don't go anywhere when I am on meds. Don't they have cameras in these stores? I asked if I am being profiled? Has anyone had a similar experience? I have never heard them ask anyone else what is another persons' medical condition or refuse to fill meds base on how someone looks. There were other customers in area. It was truly embarrassing.

After having my Social Security Disability benefit come to effect, I had to change from a group healthcare insurance to an individual policy. I had used a neighborhood Walgreens for several years, with the insurance simply asking for a $10 co-payment for my two most important prescriptions. With my new insurance, and a fixed income at just 53 years of age, I really needed to choose where and how to purchase my prescriptions. There seemed to be three possibilities: Walgreens retail, Medco which connects to Premera, my insurance company, and a new entity recommended by my insurance agent.

What I can't figure out is why there is such a price difference, and why it is so hard to get actual prices from Walgreens! ** is my primary medicine. I went from a $10 co-pay to the Walgreens pharmacy workers quoting a price of $423 per month! I simply can't afford that. When I asked the staff if they had included my new insurance info from my card, they typed the numbers for 20 minutes and couldn't get them to work. They told me they would call the insurance company the next morning.

I called late next morning and they had not called. When I did speak to them later, I was told that if I did not pick up my medicine that day it would be "returned to the shelf". It had taken a long time because I had to ask if the price (at $423 rather than $10) was accurate, and they couldn't/wouldn't. I had to send my daughter. She was quoted, and paid half of the original quote, $216, with no explanation for the still way too high cost. The next day, my second prescription was also half of an exorbitant amount. I had to have it, as I was leaving town on vacation. I absolutely cannot afford to pay these prices. So I am completely done with Walgreens.

When I priced Rx 'n Go, recommended by my agent, the cost was $150 for what was $230 and $50 for the second over $200 prescription. I will be using this "by-mail" pharmacy rather than the local Walgreens. The whole system is a giant mess. We are all changing insurance (according to my agent) in October 2013 in prep for Affordable Care (?) in Jan. 2014. But certain businesses are totally screwed up and will be going down. Most of us cannot afford what they are insisting is the "true" price especially when competition is offering a price 25% of the dummy. Bye, Walgreens. You stink.

I picked up my prescription on 6/3/14 and after taking two separate doses, my pain was not relieved at all. I thought pain level must be too high to bring down pain, but it always takes the sharp edge of pain off. I gave many opportunities for the medication to perform as it is prescribed. No relief - I don't know what to do. Customer service is 99.98% bad. My husband had regular problems being overpriced in the past and asking them to look at the Insurance computer history is responded from pharmacy staff with eye rolls, dirty looks, completely unprofessional.

Walgreens CEO, you need to have a managerial new leadership style and especially treat your pharmacy customers with helpful spirit. We are your bread as we have long term illnesses, must be in your store and buy other products from your store while we wait for medication. If I contact Walgreens about ** being imposter pills possibly being a product of black market pills and get the unprofessional response most long term customers are used to, this is my line in the sand - I will go to Rite Aid. Walgreens, fix your unprofessional, disrespectful Pharmacy employees before you lose all that business to Rite Aid or another company. I am tired being treated like a criminal. I have been going to a pain clinic for 15 years and every time I get my prescriptions filled, I get treated like dirt. Every three months, they call the doctor even though it has been the same doctor and the prescription is the same and even when it makes me wait to fill the prescription late so I am out for 3 days. They feel they have the right to deny patients medication not because it interacts with other medications but only because it is a narcotic.

If a doctor prescribes it, what right does a pharmacist have to deny filling it? I have seen this happen to numerous people. They need to stop judging people; they do not walk in their shoes or feel their pain. Any other prescription is given so they don't run out but I have had to go days without because of them and I know others who have had to also. Plus if they don't have the medication, you have to drive all over to find it. They will not call other Walgreens and if you fill somewhere else, you might be denied the following month because you did not fill it at your normal pharmacy.

To my surprise and dismay, the refill prescription was nowhere to be found, which left me in a very bad way because this was pain medication. The pharmacist that I personally gave the prescription to denied ever accepting it. So fair warning, be careful with leaving your prescription paperwork with Walgreen staff.

In Dec. 2011, I was given a script for ** 750 mg 10 tabs. Walgreens charged me $339 for these 10 tablets. In 2012 again, I had a script for ** 750 mg 10 tablets. This time, Walgreens charged me $319. I had always been a good faith customer of Walgreens, so I had no reason to dispute the price. Then while at another pharmacy, I had asked the pharmacist about the price for this drug in this amount. Imagine my surprise when she told me it ranged from $79 to $89. I went to Walgreens and asked if they had made a mistake in charging me over $600 for a prescription that should have cost me around $200. I was told by Walgreens that this was their "cash" price for these drugs.

I asked why such a discriminatory practice was in force, "cash vs. insurance" price, no answer. I called the headquarters, was given this answer as well and then when I began talking discrimination, they then switched their tactic and said that maybe their suppliers were more expensive than "other" pharmacies. I then told them that I had researched all the manufacturers of ** in the US and abroad and that NONE of them even came close to Walgreens prices for this drug. My husband and I flew to New Orleans for a quick weekend trip. We were excited and wanted to have a good time. I found that I had forgotten my medication, so my daughter told me to go to Walgreens and they would fill it for me since I have my prescriptions filled there. I called, and the woman I talked to said it would not be a problem. We picked enough pills to get me through the three days we were to be there. I told the pharmacist that my pills weren't the white pills she gave me, but she assured me the manufacturer had changed, so even though the pills had changed, they were just like what I always take. I thought since I was in the south, this sounded like a valid explanation. I took the pill (after missing my night dose of my regular pill) and we were off to walk around and see the sights.

About an hour later, I was feeling funny - extremely tired, and just had an unnatural feeling. I told my husband that we had to go back to the hotel. I never thought of checking my pills. I, all of a sudden, felt panicky, and I had to find our return ticket confirmation numbers. I tore the place apart looking for them. I started to cry uncontrollably, and nothing my husband said or did could pacify me. I found myself in the middle of a full-fledged panic attack. My heart was beating so hard, I could feel it in my neck. My head hurt and I couldn't concentrate. My husband said my face changed into someone he didn't know. He couldn't leave me alone because he thought I might jump off the balcony. He called my daughter, and she talked to me and told me to look at my pills and look them up on the internet. Sure enough, they were the wrong pills.

I called the pharmacist and waited at least 15 minutes until someone answered the phone. The pharmacist told me they were certainly my prescription! I told her I looked them up on the internet, and they definitely were not my prescription, and she went and got the bottle and said the bottle said they were my pills. Then she had her "ah-ha" moment, and she told me they were made by the same manufacturers so the manufacturer put the pills in the wrong bottle. I knew then that she was lying because they are NOT the same manufacturer! She was trying to lie her way out of the mistake she made! I had three terrible days because of her mistake, and I cried the whole time.

This morning, I talked to her district manager and although very apologetic, I am not satisfied with his story about doing something about it. There are safety checks I asked about, and he and I both know they weren't followed because the pharmacist was alone there. I was hurt physically and mentally. Our long-awaited vacation was ruined. This happens too often, but nothing is ever done! I can't quit Walgreens because I don't have a choice where I go because of our health insurance. I am in fear of going back to the Walgreens pharmacy!

As a patient taking many prescriptions for life-altering diseases and surgeries, I have come to realize the pharmacists and techs at the Sebastian Walgreens do not care. No matter what my well educated and long time pain management doctor prescribes, Walgreens never has the correct amount. They will not fill several doses so that the rest can be picked up in a few days. Instead, they void out the rest of the script and apply the total to my 30-day count for insurance. There's nothing like getting screwed twice.

I also believe this Walgreens will lie to the extreme and fill other patient scripts that are cash payers before they will fill an insurance paid script. By the end of the day, the store quota has been met and I am so stressed and aggravated that I have to wait another day or 2 or 3 for a refill (if I am lucky). The employees do not explain the real goings on and treat me as an unintelligent being from another planet. My doctors have intervened on my behalf so many times, and I am afraid I will lose him. I have been shorted hundreds of pills over the years and have spent more time waiting for these people to care even a little. I have spoken to other employees in different store departments and they won't fill scripts there.

I guess they see the panic in too many patients' eyes and see the fear in the faces and don't want to be one of us. If I can't get cooperation from these pharmacists, I might as well kiss them good bye. Oh, that's right, I forgot; they have 3 scripts that they will not return. Anyone know of a class action lawsuit I can join up with? These people are controlling my life more than my diseases...

One of the medicine bottles had an older manufactured pill in it that looked nothing like the other pills. Adding to that, my area Walgreen's pharmacy has run out of a medicine I've taken and gotten from them for many, many years. Don't they audit their inventory? The odd-ball pill I received, and the very recent change in pill size and color was NEVER pointed out to me by the Pharmacist or staff. The savings with using the W Card isn't much help either. Just today, 6/8/13, I called 2 other pharmacies and got lower prices for these 2 medicines. I will slowly but surely get all of my prescriptions transferred to a different pharmacy and be done with Walgreen's. Very poor service!

I am angry that a Walgreens pharmacist has the power over my doctor to monitor my pain medicine usage!!! I, too, have been a chronic pain sufferer for over 10 yrs. 6 yrs ago. I had to retire on disability after a failed fusion on my back & a ruptured brain aneurysm. I saw my doctor today who wrote me out a script for 15 mg **, qty 120. My regular Walgreens did not have the full 120 & offered to call the Hockessin Walgreens at Lantana Square. The pharmacist at Lantana said they had that amt. & could fill it - so I made the 15 min. drive there only to be told by the very same pharmacist who took the call that I would not be able to have it until 6/2! The reason given is because my last prescription for this same medication was filled on 5/2, so I would have to wait 30 days even though my doctor wrote me the required BRAND NEW script & dated it with today's date of 5/28/13!! I asked if this was for insurance reasons - because this is what they've told me in the past. She shook her head but gave no other explanation.

I am on Medicare & already knew that my Insurance carrier was not the reason for the hold up because I have called & they have told me they would cover the cost of a new prescription after 25 days! After I asked again why she wouldn't fill it, the pharmacist then changed her story & said I could have it 6/1. I explained that I could wait until 5/30, but would be completely out of my medicine after that day. She still would not give me any explanation as to why or who was making me wait! All I could do was take my script back & leave!

When I got home, I called another Walgreens nearby & at least the pharmacist there was honest with me & told me that Walgreens had changed a lot of things in the past 2 mos. & now they were monitoring my usage & that my prescriptions needed to last 30 days & they looked at my usage for the past 5-6 mos. & were keeping a cumulative tab on how many days "early" I was getting them refilled!!! A CUMULATIVE TAB??? All of a sudden I am being accused of doing something wrong, when I wasn't even aware it WAS wrong!

For at least 4 years, I have been allowed to pick up my ** prescriptions anywhere from 25-26 days after the previous one was filled. How dare Walgreens all of a sudden make me into some kind of criminal & FLAG me for what WAS allowed standard procedure at all of their pharmacies in Delaware!! My doctor & I are ALREADY keeping tabs on my usage!! Who the heck made Walgreens the new keeper of my pain meds??? According to their new record keeping, I was flagged for having my prescriptions refilled 1-3 days earlier than their new 30-day policy! Where was the letter I should have been provided with? Why all this shadiness Walgreens?? All you had to do was send a letter or email advising your longtime managed pain medicine customers of your new policy - instead of just lumping me in with your known drug abusers - of which I am not one of!!

I am already so tired of being in constant pain - it is so unfair that I am continually having to deal with insensitive people who are looking at me like I'm doing something illegal every time I need to pick up my much needed medications when I need them!! I am really frustrated by this & I really feel like my rights are being violated by Walgreens!

Most pain management doctors only work on select days, and his wouldn't be in until Tuesday. He was not told this is a procedure done by Walgreens, but that it was a "law".

We then got in a screaming match over the phone to his doctor's receptionist over her inability to contact the doctor through an emergency line. Needless to say, he's going to find a different pain doctor. We did find a place that would fill it after looking high and low, but we wasted time/energy/patience due to it, as well as losing a doctor. Our family has received our prescriptions from the Walgreens pharmacy in our city since the day it opened, around 1980. We've had some extensive illness in our family, including a five-organ transplant, so we have purchased hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of prescriptions. During the past year, and perhaps before, we have had very erratic charges in our co-pays even though we have excellent insurance common to all three family members who use Walgreens. Using Walgreens records as source data, I have made a spreadsheet of these differences for an eleven-month period in 2012 which showed an unusual discrepancy between the usual common charges and the different charges for the very same medicines and dosages at different times. The total questioned discrepancy amounted to a little over $900 for the eleven-month period.

In polite letters, I asked the Walgreens store manager, then the pharmacist, then the Walgreens CEO, then the Walgreens regional manager, and then the CEO again on two more occasions since January of 2013. I also forwarded the correspondence to the Chairman of The Walgereens Company Audit Committee. No one has ever responded and I am wondering if others have had any similar experiences. I am an experienced corporate director myself and disinterest of this magnitude seems unusual to me. Have others had problems with Walgreens?

I feel that I have been either overcharged or my insurance company double-billed. I came to pick up prescription on Friday, May 3, and was given a partial delivery of a 30-day supply, and charged the full amount of $57.78 as if I received a full 30-day supply. The clerk told me they were out of supply and to return the following Monday to receive the remainder and no charges would apply. When I returned, the first clerk tried to have me pay $250, then refused to give me the remaining order due saying that the Insurance Company's coverage had expired. Yes, I changed insurance on May 1, but this order should have been completed prior to that.

It was called in prior to May 1 and was only delayed in pick up - when I arrived at the store, the order was in their waiting bin, ready for dispensing. And no discussion was had at the time I picked up a partial fulfillment/paid my deductible, about expiration of insurance. And in my assessment of the situation, the pharmacy should never have agreed to give me a partial order and accept my payment for the deductible if the insurance company did not first check for eligibility prior to fulfillment of an order. No one else goes into Walgreens and receives prescription fulfillment without either payment in full or insurance confirmation. Now Walgreens wants information on my new insurance carrier (which is delayed because the employer was bought out on May 1 and has not had time to issue insurance cards to all employees).

But my point is this: If Walgreens had verified funds approved from the old insurance company and gave me the full prescription on Friday, May 3 (but did not because the branch did not have adequate supply on hand), then this would have not been an issue. I think the Green Valley at Horizon Ridge branch Walgreen's in Henderson, NV is trying to collect from the old and new insurance companies for the same prescription dispensing and I think that is wrong. I have submitted a complaint to Walgreen's customer care online system for two times without reply. Maybe other consumers should know.

Prescribed 30 days at a time, in a last minute dash I was able to pick up the new script from the doctor's office and get it to our local Walgreens in time for my daughter's morning dosage of **. Standardized testing was starting the next day at school for her. I dropped the script off; my husband picked up on his way in from work. Script went into its usual place... the crisis was averted. Focused on 2 children testing each day for 5 days, I administered meds for the next week or so. With a new refrigerator note to call for a refill when we are down to a week of pills, I found myself with phone in hand preparing to call the doctor’s office when I realized... "we just filled this prescription!"

I counted the pills and double checked with my husband. We have a one parent medication plan in the home so it was a long shot, or perhaps the pharmacy ran short... He immediately called. No one answered; a detailed message was left. I think that was a mistake. They never called. He called back the next day and was told they have audited everything and we should just get another prescription from the doctor's office. The script was for 30 days. We gave 7 doses. There were 8 pills left in the bottle...exactly half. Odd.

They were rude and disrespectful. I know this is a controlled substance so it seems as though there should be some time of paper process for logging this. If their audit showed the pills were not there in the store, it means they are just not there. It doesn't mean they are here with us. We have never had any problem with this and my daughter has been taking these meds for almost 2 years now. We have only been using this pharmacy for the past 6 months or so... no excuse for rude; no concern for professionalism. It’s over for Walgreens. Unfortunate for the next pharmacy we will count every pill before leaving the desk. Sorry, customers behind me.

My doctor wrote the Rx for the 3 boxes but they won't give me my Rx because they want more money ($35 every 30 days vs $35 every 3 months). On my other Rx's almost every time I go, it is a $60 copay. They just want money.

While traveling in upstate NY, I stopped into the Tarrytown Walgreens expecting the same level of service I experience regularly at my home store in NJ. To my great disappointment, I felt very uncomfortable in the store as virtually every clerk and salesperson spoke exclusively in Spanish to each other. Never was I asked if I needed help nor was I provided even a basic measure of customer service. The only time I was acknowledged at all was when a check out girl announced aisle 2 is open as she stood behind a closed register. Thinking she was opening that register, I walked over to her as she proceeded to count cash and talk to another co-worker in Spanish as I stood there confused and bewildered. Last I heard, Tarrytown, NY was still in the USA. Next time, I will take my business to CVS.

Poor Customer Service, wrongly being treated as a thief - I was at store #05697 in Tacoma, WA on Sun., 21 April 2013. I had a cousin with me and we went different directions in the store to find items we wanted. I had already checked out, and he was just getting in line. I didn't get names, but I know who they are. Here's what happened:

Cousin looked at a pair of ear buds (costs $12) that were freely displayed for anyone to look at, on a wall hook. Intending to buy them, he kept them and walked around the store to do more shopping. Associate B (the cashier by the door) did see my cousin remove the ear buds from the hook and walk away with them. Something happened here - unknown - but there must have been an alert/code put out somehow (maybe by the cashier/Associate B at the front door, maybe by loss prevention (LP) people, maybe by security camera monitors, who knows)?

Anyway based on what happened hereafter, someone put out a high alert - watch this customer, he's probably trying to steal something - code to other store associates. Rather than just watch and observe, and/or just make their presence known until/unless customer left the store with the ear buds. They believed he was stealing. They chose a far more complex, rude strategy - three to four associates were milling around cousin, and the store manager was one of those four. By not stopping this (with words or looks), she basically condoned the rude set up that was inflicted on my cousin. Associate A decided to be proactive, rather than wait to see if he walked out the store with them, and obviously did not have proof that he was stealing them. Otherwise, that is just what they would have done but no...

Associate A pulled my cousin out of the check-out line he was in and asked him where he put the ear buds because she needed to know what the price of them was. What the heck? Cousin has some learning disabilities, he cheerfully went up and down the aisles looking for the ear buds, couldn't find them, came back, shrugged his shoulders, and apologized and let her know that. She said she had to have them and basically sent him (using words, stance, looks, body language) back to look around again. She definitely was intimidating him, like making it a crime that he changed his mind about buying something, and set it down somewhere, rather than put it where he got it from.

Cousin cheerfully/politely went up and down the aisles a second time - trying to find where he set them down. They were nowhere to be seen. He came back to Associate A, shrugging his shoulders, and apologized again saying he couldn't find them. Associate C had joined the scene now, right next to Associate A, and asked what was going on. Associate A told her the customer set down some ear buds and was looking for them but couldn't find them. Some words were exchanged that couldn't be heard, and then Associate C was heard saying, "Why would he do that?" Associate A said, "Maybe because he doesn't want to 'buy' them."

Anyway, Associate A was on a real power kick right now, because she requested/told/intimidated to my cousin for him to go up and down the aisles a third time to find the ear buds. Meantime, there were more customers in the store, and even without hearing what was going on, what with all the associates in the area of my cousin, and what with the gestures and body language being displayed by all, it was clear to all, just by watching, that something was 'up' and my cousin was at the center of it. And another associate showed up - she obviously was very much aware of what was going on and did open a cash register nearby, all the while tracking what was going on with Associate A and cousin. Associate B (at the front register) was also obviously tracking/watching closely what was going on, and so was Associate C. Wow! Wow, Wow! Something was so not right here.

Associate A was still on a power kick of some kind, because when cousin returned from the third time, shrugging, and apologizing, and still not finding them, she asked/told/'intimidated' him into going and searching again a fourth time. Remember, he is developmentally delayed/learning impaired, so he did go again. He went cheerfully and politely and searched a fourth time.

Around the second or third time, when cousin stated he couldn't find them, Associate A said words to the effect: "How can you not find something that you just set down such a short while ago?" There was definitely a loud message/implication being screamed out here: "Duh, of course you can't find them anywhere, because we all know where they're at, don't we?" What the heck? Based on his medical diagnosis, it is entirely possible he did forget where they were set. It is possible that he may have returned to the area he believed he set them, but due to other customers browsing through shelves/racks/bins, they may have shifted/been shuffled so as to not be visible by now. She was totally wrong to send cousin four times to search for an item that he set down when he decided not to buy it after all. And she did this not once, but four, yes, four times.

It is not a crime to change your mind about buying something. It is not a crime to set something down (that you looked at and decided not to buy) in any location rather than to which it was when you picked it up. It is not a crime (even if was witnessed by associates or security camera monitors) - it is not a crime even if a customer put something in their pockets/bodies whatever even if they were seen doing this. It does not become a crime until/unless the customer leaves the doors of the store without paying for it.

After the fact, it became clear that no one saw him hide this somewhere on his body, yet it also became very clear that someone was very nervous/apprehensive about the possibility that cousin may have it concealed, may steal it - and so he was treated unfairly and rudely even.

The end result, cousin's parents called the store the next day to talk to the manager. The parents told the manager there was a weird situation that happened the day before and they started to explain. The manager said, "I know exactly what you are talking about, I was there." "What? you were there, and you let this happen?" his parents were saying, "not once, not twice, but four times, you observed your employee publicly humiliating our son by sending him scurrying all around the store searching for a misplaced item? You allowed this? When in fact, it was this associate's job even to replace misplaced items to their rightful place, not our sons? You allowed this to happen in front of several other store employees and several customers as well, and you did nothing, said nothing to your employee to stop this? Maybe, it would have been acceptable (probably not, but) maybe it would have been acceptable/tolerated for Associate A to ask this of our son once, but to intimidate him into doing it four times, with the same result, is unforgivable."

The manager apologized on the phone, and did say they did review the security cameras and were able to go right to where the ear buds had been placed. Why didn't they have one of those four associates (the manager perhaps?) looking at the security tapes even as cousin/son was being sent back and forth/back and forth? Parents did then call Corporate Customer Relations next and explained what happened. Parents explained to them, and to the manager, that this could not have happened at a worst time.

Cousin/son is a very nice young man, and even the store manager stated this, but he is getting lots of teasing and peer pressure to not be that way, not be such a polite and friendly "rule-follower." This type of situation, if he shared with his friends, would just give them more fodder to use in trying to influence him to stop being so nice and dare him to 'prove' he can hang/handle things such as lying/stealing. Cousin's parents did tell Corporate Customer Relations they would like to hear back from them in a couple days, but haven't heard anything as of yet.

His parents and my family are not doing business any more with 'this' Walgreens, perhaps not ever with Walgreens at all. Neither of our families use the store for prescriptions - we do "on the go/impulse shopping" there, which we could easily do elsewhere. This store is just convenient because it is closest to the street and on the corner. There are plenty of other stores, nearby though, so not going to Walgreens would not be a major problem.

They were out of stock. I asked for a rain check, but they refused. I contacted Walgreens online chat. They said it is up to the store to give a rain check. What rubbish! If you don't have an item in stock, it is customary to give a rain check. Walgreens is anti-consumer. Do not give them your business. Take it some place else like CVS.

I shopped here for mostly for organic energy bars and also a few green and natural personal products. However, I'm not really happy with their customer service at the moment and will likely take my business elsewhere. This morning, I sent Drugstore.com the following message: "I placed order ** on 10/10/12 and received it on 10/15/12. I went camping/hiking in Limekiln State Park on 11/2/12. I ate either one or two of the PROBAR Simply Real Whole Food Meal Bar Apple Cinnamon on this trip and do not remember a problem. (I may have just not noticed any mold, or it may have taken longer to develop.) However, I went caving in Santa Cruz on 12/9/12 and when I opened one of the PROBAR Simply Real Whole Food Meal Bar Apple Cinnamon, I saw some fuzz on the outside of the bar. I stared at it for a while, not sure if it was actually mold or just a sticky film of sugar.

"Since I was hungry, I took a bite but I started to feel more and more uneasy. Figuring it was a fluke, I threw it away and opened another bar I had of another flavor. Later, on 1/13/13, I went day hiking at Mount Tamalpais. I tried another PROBAR Simply Real Whole Food Meal Bar Apple Cinnamon. This one was fuzzy, too, so I threw it out. At this point, I remembered that the last time I ate this bar on 12/9/12, it had the same problem. Thus, I checked the expiration date and saw that it had expired in October 2012. Basically, it looks like I was mailed a case of meal replacement bars that expired on 10/20/12 - ten days after I ordered it and five days after I received it. Therefore, I would either like a replacement case or a refund. If necessary, I can mail you the uneaten bars that I still have lying around in storage at your expense."

They responded that they have a 30-day refund policy but they would only make a one-time exception by providing me with an in-store credit for any uneaten bars that I return to them. In case it was lost in my long description, ** Drugstore.com mailed me a case of energy bars that expired 10 days after I ordered it and only five days after I received it. Of course, they should take responsibility for that. As for their 30-day refund policy, it took me three months to realize that there was a problem with the bars. And, yes, to be fair, I delayed partly because it had been a few months since I had ordered the energy bars and wasn't sure Drugstore.com would do anything about it and partly because I had other things going on at the beginning of this year.

So because of Drugstore.com, I unwittingly ate two expired bars (yech!) and threw out two other moldy bars. But they will give me an in-store credit for the remaining eight if I mail them back to Drugstore.com. Never mind that the entire order expired before I eat any of it and that I threw part of it away before I realized it was a problem with the entire case. I do not expect to shop at Drugstore.com again and would not recommend it to anyone else either. However, if you choose to shop there regardless and buy any large quantities of perishables from this company, I strongly advise you to check all the expiration dates as soon as you receive them even if it is burdensome to do right away.

I have been filling my pain meds at Walgreens for the past 2 years or so. Every month I come in on time (never early), but regardless the pharmacist and staff give me the hardest time. But I don’t complain as long as I get it filled, because I know the dirty little tricks they tried to pull on me in the past like lying and saying it’s not in stock but refuse to order it LOL... Anyhow, last month when I went to refill my pain meds, I noticed 2 new pharmacists, and soon after, the problem began. As soon as I presented my script, they refused to fill it and I politely tried to explain to the morons that I had been coming here the past 2 years getting this filled at this exact location and for the exact same meds and exact same doctor.

Would you believe they refused to even look up my history in the computer and tried to humiliate me in front of the other customers and employees? Her reason was simply that neither she nor the other pharmacist felt comfortable filling for this particular doctor. Wow, really! So I raised hell and told them both where to go and how fast to get there. Then, I went to a second Walgreens location, only to be given the same sorry excuse and again humiliated! So I decided to formulate a plan; since they wanted to lie and play games, I would do the same damn thing.

I drove yet to another Walgreens location, the 3rd one! I took theater class in high school, so I decided to make use of my skills. I put my shirt on backwards, dusted off my walking cane, jacked my hair up a little bit, began drooling, dragging my feet like I was mentally ill, and walked in the store with my script. I got to the counter and drop it there for the pharmacist to see. She took one look at me and one look at the script. Needless to say, well, I walked out Walgreens with my pain meds in less than 20 min. without saying a word! So if that’s what I have to do once a month at this location, you guys better look for me on the big screen real soon! Academy award goes to me! It’s a damn shame one has to even go through this BS, but I decided I would outsmart the fox.

I really do not like to complain but I feel the Walgreens Pharmacy that I have been using needs to be investigated because if it is happening to me, then it is happening to others. To start with, I have a very bad back and have had multiple surgeries to try and fix it to relieve the pain. I have a prescription each month with a specific number of tablets of a controlled substance. I take them as prescribed so I am sure not to run out. For the month of March, I ran out three days early and was really confused as to why and just figured that the pharmacy made an error.

We are all human so I did understand but was a little upset that I had to go three days without the proper med doses to help me through the day. Then I filled my prescription today and decided to count them just to be sure, because I know there are a lot of problems in the world with controlled substance. To my surprise, my medication was two days short of what it should be. I have always trusted the pharmacy and never even considered that this could happen but I guess it does. So last month, 15 tablets were missing and this month 10 tablets are missing from my bottle. If they are taking a few from me, then it's a pretty good possibility that they are taking from other people as well and it could end up being a very big problem for others.

I am not trying to get back what was taken. I just would like for the pharmacy that has been filling my prescription to be investigated so it will not happen to other people. The last thing I would want to be doing is picking up my medications and dumping them out to count them to make sure they are all there. I should not have to and I do not think it would look good on me or the store. Due to the fact that I had problems with this store in the past with other issues, I plan to trade pharmacies so this will not be an issue for me anymore, but I hope that the problem is resolved so others will not have this problem. Thank you in advance.

April 1, 2013: I don't drive so I had my mother go to our local Walgreens (store #6589) located on Mahoning Ave and St Rt 46 Austintown, Ohio. She went up to the pharmacy and handed my Rx for anxiety. The lady looked at it and said, "I can't fill this until April 3rd because she got this filled on March 5, 2013," then handed it back to my mother. My mother came back home only a few minutes later and said that they will not fill it. I asked her if they ran it through the computer. She said no, she just looked at it and gave it back. So my mother had to drive to the other Walgreens, which is about a 20-minute drive. The pharmacy there took it, ran it through and said it will be ready in about 5 minutes.

This is not the first time they have done this to me. The Walgreens in Austintown, Ohio are very rude and lazy. When I handed them my prescriptions for my pain and anxiety, they looked at me like I'm a druggie and sometimes refuse to fill it until the 31 days. The other time I had to go through the ER. The Austintown, Ohio pharmacy is a 24-hour store. My husband went in to get the Rx filled and they said they can't fill it because they don't take our insurance, which is Medicaid. She gave the Rx back to him with a smirk on her face. He came back out to the car and we had to drive 20 minutes, and this Walgreens had no problem filling it.

I've called the management to complain about the service and even then they were rude. Fair warning: If you don't want to get treated like some druggie or just because you have some other type of insurance, don't go to Walgreens (store #6589) located on the corner of Mahoning Ave and St Rt 46.

Their website shows the prescription was not filled until February 26, 2013. On March 25, 2013, I submitted a prescription for ** to the same pharmacy. The representative stated that the prescription could not be filled until April 1, 2013, because I had not picked up the previous prescription for ** until March 1, 2013. In response, I stated, "You are going by the pickup date of March 1, 2013, versus the dispensing date of February 25, 2013." The representative responded, "Yes."

Questioning Walgreens' use of the pickup date, on the morning of March 26, 2013, I called Medicaid and spoke to a representative by the name of Dawn. She ran a trial claim for a prescription of **, and she said that it was accepted and approved. I explained to Dawn that Walgreens was using the pickup date versus the dispensing date. She stated to call Walgreens Pharmacy and asked when the prescription for ** could be filled. Immediately I called the same Walgreens Pharmacy. I asked the representative by the name of Maryann when my prescription for ** could be filled. She pulled up my profile and stated it could not be filled until April 1, 2013, because I had not picked up the previous prescription for ** until March 1, 2013. I questioned her about using the pickup date. She stated that it was the law to use the pickup date, and she could do nothing about it.

In response, I told her it was not the law because I had just spoken to Medicaid, and they ran a trial claim for the **, and it was accepted and approved. I told her it was Walgreens Pharmacy policy to use the pickup date and not the law. Today, March 29, 2013, I submitted the same prescription for ** at a Walmart Pharmacy. They filled the prescription, and Medicaid accepted and approved it on their computer system. This clearly substantiated that Walgreens Pharmacy has created their own policy to use the pickup date versus the dispensing date. It is Walgreens Pharmacy's dirty little tactic to delay filling prescriptions.

As I am disabled, I am not always able to pick up my prescriptions on the same day I drop off the prescription at a pharmacy. I do not drive, and I have a caregiver drive me to the pharmacy. Furthermore, I schedule my appointments with my primary physician based on the dispensing date of ** and not the pickup date. The bottom line: A person could run out of his prescription because Walgreens Pharmacy is using the pickup date versus the dispensing date for **.

Do not go to the pharmacy at Walgreens in Toms River, NJ that is near St. Catherine's Boulevard. They are all liars, and yes, this is a fair comment. They have screwed up so many times that I do not have the time to write them all.

In one instance, I brought a script to them and they stated to me that there was a new law where if you are on Medicaid, your doctor must register with Medicaid. I said my doctor is registered with Medicaid, but they said no, he isn't. I brought the script to the Walgreens about 7 miles from there and they filled it within 5 minutes, no problem. They called Medicaid and got the info. The Walgreens on St. Catherine's lies and tells you they called Medicaid when they didn't! On another occasion, some know-it-all named Mike at Walgreens on St. Catherine's said I couldn't fill my prescription on the 29th day. I had to wait until the day I would be out of pills to fill it.

I called my doctor and he said that they always fill it on day 29, and on day 28 sometimes, if there's going to be bad weather. I brought that one to the other Walgreens and it was filled in 5 minutes again. Another time, I wanted to make sure of my pill count and they shorted me by 6. Unfortunately, they said that since I didn't count them in front of them, I might have taken the missing pills. I expected it to be right. In other words, I have to dump them out in front of them when I get them and count them along with the pharmacist! Are you serious? The pharmacists there on St. Catherine's hold grudges and play God with your meds if you anger them. I have filed complaints through various sources, including Walgreens headquarters.

Do not go to this pharmacy! If you have scripts there, transfer them to a nearby pharmacy or the other Walgreens, not the one near St. Catherine's Blvd. People think they are going to play games with my medication and try to cover their errors? On another instance, I had a script and the girl at the counter told me that I had to call Medicaid and get a prior authorization, so they gave me a number. I called, and they told me that only a pharmacy can call for prior authorizations. There are a few more mistakes made. I will continue later on today. Remember, they lie about calling your insurance company. If they say they will call, watch them. Keep your eye on them and listen to what they say on the phone, that is, if they even call.

Am I angry? Yes. There's been over 8 mistakes that have cost me dearly. Do not go there. Please, trust me. Something suspicious is going on there. They automatically refill things that you don't need anymore, just to make money. This pharmacy should be closed down. They don't know the lengths I'm going to go through, including handing out flyers, posting things around the area, also in the local paper, but I will make sure it's all legal. I have 7 people from the area who are willing to picket outside. They really don't know what they started. At the end of this, I see it says "contact an attorney" and you can check the box. You don't think they are working with Walgreens? Come on! But let's see, for fun.

Walgreens Pharmacy had been continually submitting claims to my insurance company for medications that I had not received or picked up. So I asked the pharmacist on duty to explain to me why this was happening. She told me that many times, the medications are billed to the insurance company but later restocked if they are not picked up by the patient. I then asked her why they would bill the insurance company if the medication had not been ordered, picked up or paid for by me, the patient. She began to get very irritated. She said that I needed to listen to what she was trying to tell me or else she was going to call the police! I was shocked!

So I asked for my EOB copy back so that I could leave the store. When I reached for it, she grabbed it and it ripped/tore. She said to me, "I am going to make sure that you do not get any more medications filled here again." She looked on the EOB and got my name, address (profile info) and put into the system, "Do not fill for this patient."

I have never seen anybody in a professional position behave this way and overstep her authority over such a trivial matter, just because we don't agree with an Insurance statement! Really! Something was definitely wrong or off with her that day. Even later when I contacted the pharmacy manager, she apologized for everything the pharmacist did at first and promised to remove the "Do Not Fill for this patient" off my profile. But two weeks later, when I called in to get my last medication refilled, it seems she forgot everything she said to me, even the apology and the part about how remorseful she was. Instead, she stated that she was not there that day but she was told that I had come in and upset the pharmacist. So I guess, it's okay for a pharmacist to threaten to call the police on a customer simply because the customer disagreed with her over an EOB statement. And I still do not understand why I am getting these fake EOBs.

I think, perhaps, she should not be working in the public arena with this type of demeanor or unsettling attitude. That was not the way to handle anything and I feel sorry for Walgreens because many more customers will be lost if they have to interact with this nutcase. There are many other pharmacies in the Tupelo, MS area that are more professional and accurate than Walgreens could ever be and I will be using one of these and encouraging my family and friends to do the same.

When I go to Walgreen to get my pain meds, the people treat you like crap. The lines are always long and everybody I talk to hates coming there. When I have been there, I have never heard a good word about Walgreen. I will be taking my business elsewhere. You call to complain and they say they will call you back, but they never do. I don’t know how they stay in business. Store # 05335 Port Saint Lucie 772-878-1505

I use Walgreens and have been using them for a while now. Well, it has been problem after problem after problem. I have finally had all I can take. I bring my daughter's prescriptions in monthly, worth over $600, which is no loss for Walgreens and, every month, I have the same problems. I ask if they have my daughter's med in generic in stock. They always "yes ma'am" without checking. So this last time, when I asked the girl if she was sure and if she could check, she said, "Yes, ma'am, we do have it in," and never even began to check (this is a monthly tradition between me and Walgreens; it was).

Well, I give the lady my ID & insurance cards once again, like I do every month because, according to them, I never gave them my children's insurance information. The ID part I understand. Well, the lady told me to come back in about 3 hours (once again, every month)! I live about 15 miles from the pharmacy, so I came back to get my girl's prescriptions and guess what? Wow, they did not have it in stock, surprise! No, not really, SOS! As I got my prescriptions back so I could bring them somewhere else (this being the same girl I dealt with when I dropped them off), the girl was being really cocky like I did something wrong. So I asked her, "Weren't you the one who told me that you had them in stock?" And she said, "Yes," no "Yes, ma'am," no respect at all, nothing.

So I told her that I was tired of dealing with this every month (did I mention every month) and that I needed all prescriptions back, so I could leave and get my children's meds filled, and while she was getting them, I realize, hey, wait a sec, she never gave me my ID or insurance info back. So when I asked her for that, she said, "I gave them back to you already." I argued with her and told her, "No, ma'am, you did not." She replied with, "Yes, Ma'am, I did." So I got my prescriptions and told her that I was not going anywhere till she looked for my ID and insurance info.

Well, she looked for about 2 seconds and said she could not find it. Well, I called today and guess what is at the pharmacy waiting for me? Wow! It's my ID and Insurance card. So, I spoke to a manager and basically I got the vibe that she was not listening and if she was, she didn't care. Needless to say, I will never ever give Walgreens my time or effort or money! I could understand once but every month over and over is just pure laziness!

I have made many complaints to the customer care hotline about the inappropriate comments made by Walgreens’ employees. One back in December 2012 in Omaha, NE, at the 30th and Turner Blvd. location, where me and my fiancée heard **, an employee, say, "The ** in Walgreens are getting on my nerves,” at the Walgreens. Then again, on 1/31/2013, when I was trying to get my prescription filled from the University Medical Center in Omaha, NE, the pharmacist on duty, by the name of **, took the prescription for **. When I asked for ** and politely gave him my identification, which is now required by law, he made the rude comment about making **. I don't make **, and I was very offended by that comment. If you would like to contact me, please call **.

This has got to be the biggest "lack of customer service" store next to Walmart. I have had terrible customer service with several of these stores and am not going back. Their pharmacists walk around like Walmart employees (1 mph) and can't do two things at one time. From what I have seen, making $100,000++ a year - you would think they could do a better job than that. I wait on hold for upwards of 15 minutes with their answering machine saying I'm next in line - the whole time. Once I was sitting there and there was on one there beside them. Huh? I'm going elsewhere and recommend everyone else does too. Lack of customers will teach them good manners if they want to keep their jobs. Plenty of customers tell them they're doing their job just fine. Think about it.

Walgreens Pharmacy at 500 Geary Street can't find prescriptions phoned in by my new physician on 1/8/2013. I have given them the name of the physician and they still can't find the prescriptions. I have diabetes and have been out of one medication for days while they play games contacting the physician. This is like having no medical coverage at all.

Stereotype, I am a long time shopper of Walgreen. Lately, I have noticed that they have taken a lot of African American product out the store; for example, Pantene shampoo and conditioner. This company makes all kinds of shampoos and conditioner and has recently made more and Walgreen has overflowed their shelves with these new products taking out the ones for women of color. Also, hair dye black and blonde are not the only colors we use on our hair personally.

My hair is brown and this is what I was looking for when I went into the store tonight. Instead, I found one box of black and on box of blonde and it's sad because there was almost a whole role of hair dye but none for me. Oh okay, they do have a tiny space in the store for African American hair product but even with that, I was insulted. The section is called specialty hair. I questioned that. What is specialty hair? I am a woman of color. I relax my hair instead of perming it. I hot curl, blow dry, wash and style my hair just like everyone else. So why are the products for my hair in a specialty section? I am insulted.

For the last six months, I have been purchasing my prescription of ** from my local 4 points Walgreens. I had been paying $104.50 per bottle. We have a new Randalls that opened up close to my house that offered a $25 gift certificate to transfer any prescriptions. I took advantage of the offer and when I picked up my exact same prescription from Randalls Pharmacy, it came to $24.50. I am a senior citizen on a very limited income, with no prescription insurance and I was absolutely furious. A difference of $80 for the same medication! I went back to Walgreens 4 points and was told by Josh that he would contact his DM regarding this overcharge.

A week later, Josh said he had spoken to his district manager and offered me the difference in price in a Walgreens gift card. Obviously, they agreed I have been overcharged or they would not have offered me this compromise. Unfortunately, I cannot pay my bills with a Walgreens gift card nor would I ever shop in a store that was blatantly overcharging the public. I want Walgreens to do the right thing. I want a full refund of the difference in a cash or check. That would be $400 and I want them to adjust their prices to coincide what others are offering. How many people and insurance companies are being ripped off by their excessive prices? I cannot afford to pay an attorney to contact me, but if one is provided pro bono, I would be happy to speak with them.

For years, I had been dealing with Walgreens in Roseburg, Oregon. Most of the time, they were very easy to work with other than having to straighten out problems with my medications. But today, when I called in my refill for an inhaler, I didn't expect to have a problem. Normally they just filled it. But about an hour later, I received a call from the pharmacist saying that they were no longer accepting my insurance. I was livid. I was told that starting the first of January 2013, they had stopped taking my type of insurance.

Well, this was news to me as I had never been notified of the change. Since I was not aware of the change, I now have to go out of my way to find another pharmacy to fill my scripts. Walgreens was closer to where I live, but now I have to go further to fill them. Thanks Walgreens for your superb customer service. Not! I will never give Walgreens any more of my business in the future. And I would recommend that you find a pharmacy that will not just deny your insurance either.

I had called in a refill a ** on or around November 11, 2012. The mg should have been ** 20/25; instead, I received 20/12.5 mg. After about a week, I noticed my blood pressure was not going down and this was unusual. I informed my cardiologist of this, and she told me to make an appointment with my primary doctor which I did. Before that appointment, I ended up in the emergency room where my blood was 210/111. I had a stroke level reading. When I visited my doctor and noticing the mgs he was giving me, I found it was the original dosage of 20/25. When I looked on the bottle of the last prescription, I noticed it was 20/12.5 which is not my dosage. This has happened before back earlier in 2012. I live alone, and with my blood going as high as it was, I could have had a stroke or even died in my home and no one would have known what happened. This is the second time as I mentioned this has happened, and I will be seeking legal counsel regarding this matter.

I am currently being treated for a chronic back issue by one doctor for the past 5 years. I went to the dentist on Jan. 02 of 2013 to have a tooth pulled. I received a prescription that is similar to the prescription for my back pain, but the prescription from the dentist was a lower dose. Walgreens Rx refused to fill this prescription from the dentist as opposed to never having a problem with fulfilling these in the past, and I was told to take the medication that was prescribed by "my other doctor" who is not a dentist for the pain.

The problem is, as I told the pharmacist, I am under a strict regimen with the meds prescribed by my orthopedic, and I only take them at certain times during the day regularly but because of the strength of the meds, I cannot sleep at night if taken at night. This sounds a little illegal to me in the first place. I have a legal script from dentist that was refused.

Is not Walgreens actually suggesting I commit a fraud, in that I use the prescription I already have through another doctor paid for by my insurance without his knowledge thereof? Fraud occurs when prescriptions are falsely acquired through insurance under the name of another individual. My orthopedic is monitoring the use of this medication. And how am I going to explain where these extra doses are going?

So, in essence, this pharmacy flat out wants me to overtake a monitored prescription at a higher dosage that dentists do not usually prescribe in the first place given through a separate prescription from another doctor and without any notification or proof of the pharmacy contacting my orthopedic about this. The way I see it, it seems this is illegal micro-management of my prescribed meds.

On 12/17/2012 I ordered two bottles of Olay Total Effects anti-aging as advertised in their website. But when I finally received the item, it was a totally different Olay Total Effects and nothing like in the picture. When I spoke with their customer service with this issue, they said they had just updated the picture after I had placed an order. She said I could return it back, but will be charged for another shipping fee of $4.99 and refund will take 30 days. This is some kind of shady business and is misleading consumers. Very unhappy! Bad customer service.
