Finance of America is well-rounded, especially the representative in the past that I worked with. He was fantastic. Every time I had a question, I could call him and he'd answer it for me. He was great. Basically, he told me to tell him what I needed and what I wanted, and then we would work it out together. I've had brain surgery so I get confused, and he would explain things sometimes three times to me so I would understand it 100%. I enjoyed working with him. I've already recommended them to a couple of people.

The guidance that I got from Finance of America was okay. However, there's definitely a lot of inspections that I've had to pay out of my money. That didn't fit too well with me. I paid the appraisals and they took it off that now. I had an air-conditioning and heating for my unit to put and they withheld the portion of it for that. And now I'm trying to get them out here to inspect it so I can reclaim some of my money.

I wanted a reverse mortgage to have some extra money, and I got a letter in the mail that it might be time to do it so I responded. The guidance we received from Finance of America Reverse was pretty good and we're very happy with the service we got.

I knew my house increased in value and I didn't want to take out a loan because I couldn't afford to pay it. So I looked into reverse mortgage or a reverse line of credit and got what I paid for the house plus the rest of the equity in there. I read some reviews about Finance of America Reverse and it felt like the right place to go. My loan officer was absolutely wonderful and answered every question. My son-in-law had questions and he took the time to speak with him three different times. And I would email him with a question or concern and he would get right back to me. He was really great. We're happy that we did what we did with them.

I was very confused and frustrated; so there was many fax, text and phone calls to walk me through it all. I received kind words and encouragement through the entire process. It seemed some of the things they were saying were beneficial to me. I looked at several different websites and they stand out and is the best, so we went with them and they did a good job. Olivia the loan officer answered my questions and was able to explain how the process worked. The only thing I would complain about is that every time you take a large chunk of money out of your equity on your home, it has a pretty high interest rate. But overall, I've had a good experience with them. They were very professional.

The guy from Finance of America Reverse that I talked to was very personable. He was never pushy and was always helpful. The appraisal guy who set me up was nice as well. Then a lady rep sent me a list of the people that I have to consult with to make sure that I'm not being coerced. It was very cool. Everybody didn't feel rushed to get me off the phone to answer my questions and get me going. They seemed invested in me as a person.

I went thru the loan process with the help of a very competent and efficient representative Nicole **. She was always available and returned calls in a short time. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone in need of mortgage help.

I selected Finance of America Reverse because they sounded like a reputable company based on some comments that I went through. I was very pleased with their loan officer. She was very courteous and made me feel like she really cared. It's a good thing and it helps me. She still occasionally calls to check on me.

Ernie from Finance of America Reverse was real nice, walked us through the mortgage and answered all of our questions. We had a real good rapport with him and he was a lot of help. We were concerned that we might be losing the rights to our property and our house, but he assured us that we weren’t and told us all the options we had. Finance of America Reverse sounded like they knew a little bit more than what everybody else knew, so we decided to acquire their services. Working with the loan officers has been good. They explained to me the process and answered any questions I had. I'm happy with my experience with them.

I first came to know about Finance of America Reverse through the US Government Consumer Affairs. I talked to a couple of people and the gentleman from Finance of America Reverse who took care of me was so friendly and helpful so I went with him and we became really good friends. I wasn't as impressed with the other company. It was a good experience with Finance of America. Everything went just like he said and I got things done like they wanted me to do. They were very friendly. I didn't have to wait too long to get my money and everything is going okay in my life right now.

I considered Finance America Reverse and one of their competitors. I was immediately impressed by the responsiveness and amount of detail provided by FAR and especially the person who became my loan officer, Diana **. Since I had not done a reverse mortgage before I needed more explanation than I suspect others might, but at no time did I feel as though I was intruding as Diana was always cheerful and ready to help. Little things like appraisals and signing details were explained to my complete satisfaction. The documents were easy to understand and on items I wasn't sure about Diana always provided detailed explanations, even to my attorney who had one question.

The reverse mortgage specialist I worked with, Amber **, at Finance of America Reverse was amazing. Constantly on top of everything, responding immediately and explaining details perfectly. Since this product has had a lot of negative publicity, I was quite hesitant at the beginning. However, Amber was so patient and made sure I understood the product and the process. I'm not sure I would have gone through with the loan without her guidance. She is a wonderful asset for Finance of America.

We recently acquired a reverse mortgage with Finance of America. I would highly recommend this company. The face of companies are measured by the direct contact one has with its employees. Timothy ** was our contact person. He was courteous, friendly and in constant contact with us throughout the process. Jasmine **, very personable as well, was our processor. Both highly professional, kind and always available, an asset to Finance of America.

I had a really good experience with Finance of America Reverse. Olivia, the one who handled my finances, was fantastic. She’s one of those that tells you that she’s honest. I pretty much know by everything that she’s talked about that she is somebody that likes her job, believed in it and wants to do the best she can for me. That all depends on if I’m smart enough to really understand what I went through, but I feel like I made a good decision. I have a question I want to ask her and I will call her because I know she’ll be available for that.

I Googled the best reverse mortgage outfits and Finance of America Reverse came up as the number one outfit so I called them. I got a hold of someone down in San Diego and he’s a real nice fellow. We started talking back and forth and we went through this process for about a week. He did what he had to do, I did what I had to do and it came together. I was really satisfied. Any questions we had were answered and that was really good, and it went through. But because everything was done away from us, we didn’t really know when things were paid off. They told us upfront what was happening, but we didn’t get paperwork until we were down the road a little bit. Otherwise, it's been a really good deal. We still live in our house, we still have a lot of equity in it and the choice of paying that off. They were good people at FAR and they were there to help. They also told us that we don't have to pay taxes on that and that it'll have no effect on our income tax.

Working with Finance of America Reverse was a new experience for me. I got sick and got on disability so I got a reverse mortgage. The loan officer was all right and the guidance I received was fine. I thought I was gonna get more than what I got and they didn’t say why I didn't get what I expected. Nonetheless, I'd recommend them.

I had contacted Jason ** from Finance of America to inquire about a reverse line of credit. In doing so I was very pleased how Jason explained the complete process to my husband and I. Through the process if I had any doubts or questions I would email Jason & within 15 minutes he would email me back with the answer. Finance of America Reverse was okay in explaining everything but on my second reverse mortgage with them, I was promised $20,000 but it ended up at $9,000. Casey, the woman I talked to, was the one who promised me everything. But then she left the company and somebody else took over. Then I was told I could only be given $10,000. Then when it finally got down to the final paperwork, it was just $9,000. I didn't like that at all.

I received a letter in the mail stating that I could probably get some more money if I refinance my existing reverse mortgage. There were two different companies I talked to and Finance of America agreed to pay the closing cost in which the other company would not do so I went with them. They made clear of what I needed to do. I needed to get another counseling certificates and everything progressed step-by-step like clockwork. It was good all the way. I got my check in the mail and next year I'm gonna get another one.

I wanted to get rid of a note and a reverse mortgage would give me an extra free mile of travel and Olivia, the lady I always go to at Finance of America Reverse, did a super, duper job. I hope the company has more people like her. There was another lady, Pearl, that I got rid of and the supervisor had to kick in. Pearl got involved with something that had to do with me finishing up a room. She told us we had to do this and that but she was wrong and it was a really big mess. But the company is great. I already recommended people to Finance of America. My brother is already in it. He was just about finished with the acquisition where it's all the things he was gonna do. And I've got two other friends who are also trying to do it.

At the time I made a decision to go with Finance of America Reverse, I thought I was getting more money than I received. But the appraisal apparently turned out to be ridiculous. The appraisal has to be done by someone who knows appraisals. As far as I'm concerned they didn't know enough about the appraisal, the way how this home was built, the way it was constructed. It's a contemporary home and in the state of Florida, you don't have many contemporary homes. They set some guidelines for appraisers to follow and since they have nothing to compare on, they count bedrooms and square feet. That's not the way you would do this. If you get a good appraiser, you get more money. Having said that, I'm not dissatisfied with the service and I would recommend them.

I contacted Jason regarding a Reverse Mortgage a few months back to determine if a reverse mortgage was right for my financial circumstances. Jason was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I learned a lot about a reverse mortgage and was effortlessly guided through the process. There was really not much effort expended on my part. A reverse mortgage was the only option we had with what we needed the money for. We went on the internet and looked at some reverse mortgage companies and some reviews and it felt right to go with Finance of America Reverse. Ed, their loan officer, helped us get propped and he was fabulous. He was very compassionate, helpful, and wonderful. He answered every question I had and in detail, so there were no stones left unturned. I would recommend Finance of America Reverse to anyone that wants to go with that company.

The rep from Finance of America explained reverse mortgage a lot better than a lot of other ones. He was upfront with everything so I chose him. He helped me with getting all the paperwork and looking at all my stuff that had to be paid up. The guidance I got from him was excellent. We signed a copy with a notary at my house but I need a copy of that with all of the reverse mortgage signatures on it.

Finance of America Reverse was helpful through the process. Realizing there's a bunch of paperwork, we got through it and got my money. I thought that the appraisal was way low. In my mind my property was worth $150,000 but they came in at $97,000. I talked to a real estate agent who sold a house I had once before and he said that the appraisal is not really that far out of line.

They say that customer service is a lost art, but Finance of America has an employee, ELLEN **, that excels in customer service. I started this process over a year ago, and due to extenuating circumstances (broken back and auto accident) I could not complete the transaction. Ellen ** hung in there and all the time was giving me different options. After my recovery, my reverse mortgage went very smoothly - very quickly and I was extremely satisfied.

I was interested in a reverse mortgage and that started phone calls, and one of those phone calls was with Finance of America. Their rep Barbell was very helpful and she wasn't pushy. She was very upfront about everything, gave me information and allowed me time to think about it, which was what I needed. She told me what a reverse mortgage entailed and if I decided that that's what I wanted to do, she stated what my requirements were and explained that that would have to have a counselling session. At each step that we would get to, she would let me know that I was not obligated to go through with anything if I wasn't comfortable with it.

I applied for a rev. mortgage so I could update my house after many years. I was very pleased with Matt ** in the Indianapolis area offices and his supv. Mike ** for their prompt help. After paperwork completion I learned that some additional settlement costs were added which were not included in the original quote to me. I called and learned that it is their company policy to pay any taxes they are due within 90 of closing. I had to call to find this out. So I called the L.A. tax collectors office for info. and got nowhere after waiting an hour on the phone (typical of big city don't give a hoot bureaucrats!). I went online and saw that the taxes were NOT paid. After waiting to possibly see if the transaction had finally been completed, I sent an email to Matt ** asking for help to clear this up. He apparently forwarded my email to Crystal **, somewhere in their system (?).

Nigel made it an enjoyable experience for us, so if you are looking for a Reverse Mortgage, this is the place to go and trust.

I taught for 30 plus years, but I had taken out 15 before my husband died, so I didn't have that much. I only had a retirement, but all the years end and I can't make it on what I draw, so I got a reverse mortgage. I usually could get Finance of America's loan officer right away, but he always returned my call if I didn't. The experience went well. It was fairly quick, not like a regular mortgage.

The proposal from Finance of America Reverse was the best one among those from several other companies when I did my research. I spoke to one guy from Finance of America the whole time over a period of six months and he seemed to be knowledgeable. If called him with questions, he'd always call me back and he'd also email back very promptly. I wouldn't even get a call back from other companies that sent proposals within this range for three or four days and sometimes none at all. So not only his proposal was the best one, but his interactions with me and helping me work through my questions was very helpful. My 89-year-old mother is wanting to do the same, so we're looking into this for her as well.

I had some bills that I needed to pay off so I did a reverse mortgage with FAR. I've had an experience with another company that wasn't positive and when I explained to the young lady at FAR what I had experienced, she assured me that that wouldn't happen with her company. She was truthful with me, and it all worked out in my favor. Everything was positive. The team answered my questions and gave me the answers that I needed. All of the answers that I got from them were truthful. I'd recommend Finance of America to somebody else.

We were interested in a reverse mortgage for our retirement so we can live comfortably and Finance of America seemed like the better choice than the others. However, the guy who did the appraisal seemed like he was dragging his feet about things. When we called him, he told us that he then didn't have to come out here. There were things said that he had a negative attitude about. He's working for a reverse mortgage so he needs to show who he's representing. But I am still satisfied with the reverse mortgage because Jayson, our sales representative, represented the company very well. He was very good and helped us out.

Finance of America Reverse offers a superior product and their customer service is beyond reproach. I've thought about getting a reverse mortgage for a long, long time now. I initially looked at three or four other companies and then settled on Finance of America Reverse. They were great and have been quick to respond.

I picked Finance of America because they were very dedicated. I had debts to pay off and they told me that I can pay back the reverse mortgage without any penalty whatsoever so I decided to take it. So soon I'd pay off these debts and I'd get extra money. The representative was very efficient and he was very insistent that he kept returning my calls and did a good follow-up. They're very informative when we were discussing my option.

We have a home that none of the rest of our family are interested in after we're gone. So, we decided that reverse mortgage would be the way to do it. We had nothing but good relations with FAR reps. Wow, what a great experience with Marina. She started the process by replying to my request on a Sunday. Very unusual. It was up hill from that 1st phone conversation. The process was drawn out but that was not Marina's fault, government works that way. Anytime I had questions she seemed to be always available to answer even though she had numerous other clients to deal with. When my mum passed I wanted my sisters to be able to stay in the home. So I thought reverse mortgage would work fine for them. At first the company was, "Oh this will be easy, good credit score, super equity in the home, should take no time to close..." Well it's going on 3 months now and still nothing. I bent over backwards for this company, paper after paper, explain this, explain that... It went on forever and still going on like I was doing all the work. They were doing very little. It has turned into a nightmare and now I have to go look into another company to try and get this loan closed. They're all gung-ho in the beginning then drop you and let you handle the mess. I was able to get more information from the Finance of America rep that I was looking to clarify who I wanted to go with and some of the others that I had contacted were not giving a good vibe. I called to inquire about paying off the loan. After faxing the request I had to call them several times to follow up. After calling and complaining I had to email and request it. It took them more than a week to reply! After sending them the payments with a little extra to cover hidden cost, I just waited. As I am writing this review after 4 weeks I am finding out that they transferred my loan to AM West Mortgage. I called them. Guess what. They cannot find such a loan in the system?! I called back Finance of America Mortgage. They say it might take the company up to 30 days to have my loan in their system. I would not recommend or work with such a company ever again. Very unprofessional and inefficient.

I recently inherited a house that needed a lot of work and a reverse mortgage was the only way I can afford to do everything I needed to do. I started looking at reviews online and Finance of America had very good reviews, so I went with them. The loan officer was very informative, seemed to really care about my concerns and interests, and answered all of my questions. And even since I closed the loan, I've talked to him a couple of times and he’d just call to see how things are going.

The only way I could retire is to go through reverse mortgage. I went with Finance of America Reverse and I like their rep a lot. I was really confused with the rep because she wasn’t very clear and then the person that talks to the counselors sounded very frustrated when I was asking questions because I was completely in the dark as to what a reverse mortgage is. They weren't patient to break down what we do and don’t do and what to expect. They need to be more specific and more detailed as to what reverse means. I'm still not clear on it. All we know is that we don’t make a payment, but now I'm getting statements about interest and I didn’t know what those meant. I also didn’t know that it will depend on the credit score if they'd take you as a client because I was trying to refer somebody and if you don't have a good or decent credit, Finance of America doesn’t want to work with you.

I'm 82 and reverse mortgage is the best option for me because I don't want to move nor sell the house. So, it works out the best to have a little cash for the kids when I go. Carol, a broker in California, was familiar with Finance of America Reverse and with the reverse mortgage I had before, and she recommended them. She was real nice. There was all that paperwork, but it's a necessary evil. She was the go-between in all of that paperwork. The guidance that I got was all good. They laid out all the information in front of me and we discussed everything before I decided. The other reverse mortgage company I had was pretty good too, but Finance of America Reverse didn't charge for the closing cost.

Finance of America Reverse sent me a letter. They said that I'd end up getting around $22000 for my house and that sounds pretty good. They sent this guy over and he went through the yard and the house. He came back and he said it was 24. It doesn't come to what the other guy was working with. So I told my wife I should sell. I tried selling this house, at first we weren't happy 'cause we had just painted it. We also converted the garage into a second bedroom and we had put stairs going up the attic and it has windows on each side in two rooms up there. It's about almost 40 years old. I cut out part of it and built an eight foot fence out over there. We decorated the whole yard. My wife worked on this for about two months.

I wanted to keep our savings that we had but still had money available. We were also wanting to do some remodeling so we decided a reverse mortgage was the best way to do it. I needed some things done in my house and my social security check wasn’t going to help me get it done. I didn’t know that previously I had applied in 2014 with Finance of America Reverse, but they were under a different name. I had already compared them with other companies before and they said they had changed some of the programs so I was interested to see what those changes were. My son-in-law helped me with my reverse mortgage which was the best action I could think of at that time. I hit it off with the girl from Finance of America that called me. We talked about my situation financially, family, where we lived and hobbies. She's about the same as age as me, and answered all my questions. She convinced me to go with them. I didn't really know that much about reverse mortgage and she explained it to me in a very easy way to understand. Overall, they're very easy to work with and it didn't take much time. They would set everything up, including the meetings with the notary. And any paperwork that had to be done was easy to do.

Finance of America's rates were better compared with other places, and they have excellent service. They worked in my favor, my behalf. They stayed on top of it. There were different court proceedings that I had to attend that delayed a lot of the closing and they were right on that. They just walked me through it to the very end and they act in my behalf. They wanted to put the loan together for me and they made sure that they did that. They conquered what they were after and they did an excellent job.

This gives me the opportunity to express our appreciation on how Toby ** took us through the reverse mortgage. Could not of asked for anyone more qualified person. He was there for us through each step of the process and was available to us when we needed him. We had a great experience. Very knowledgeable about reverse mortgages.

We were interested in doing a reverse mortgage. I've been paying on mortgages for over 30 years and I'm tired of it. This way, I can pay off the mortgage, pay off a few more bills and have a little extra money available if we needed it. It took time for us to get the appraiser from Finance of America over here but once we did that, everything went along. I felt comfortable doing it. The rep that I had contact with was a very nice guy. He helped me as much as possible, and kept me informed. And anytime I have any questions, I can always call him back. So we were very happy.

We made a mistake of paying cash for our house and it's a lot of equity wasted so we decided to get some of our equity back. My son-in-law works for Finance of America Reverse and he got all the information for us instead of others so it was convenient. The loan officer's fine but somebody back there jacked his room for nine months. Part of it is we live on an island in State of Washington and everybody on the island is on Wills. For some reason somebody took a disliking to Wills and we kept getting more and more paperwork we need to fill out. It was stupid taking $75,000 off a $700,000 home.

The guidance I received was very good and we communicated back and forth on text messages, email, and phone calls. I was happy with them. Very nice, professional people to work with.

While I was checking out a bunch of companies I found on the internet, several called me back but were concerned about the problems that I might have. Josh, the rep from Finance of America Reverse was one of the other ones who was willing to help and told me that he will take care of whatever problem I had and will deal with it. In the end, the other problem really didn’t matter. However, I scheduled a required class and it was a waste of time and money, but I understand that people need to understand what they're getting into. Despite that, I would recommend Finance of America to someone who would ask me about it.

I needed some home improvement projects done, but I was running out of funds and I found out that I had more money going out than coming in. So at that time, the reverse mortgage seemed like the best option for me. Also, I feel that there's a better protection with a large company compared to a smaller one that can go out of business. So I went with Finance of America, and they've been very good for the most part. They were persistent but not pushy, and I found them helpful. They'd get back to me on a timely basis and answer my questions. The counselor was very professional and informative. I've read all the information ahead of time so it was easy for me to follow her.

I first went to One Reverse Mortgage, but they did not keep the service. They would transfer or sell the services to somebody else, and I didn't like that. So I went online and looked up some of the other companies, until I went with Finance of America, and my experience with them was very good. The representative answered all my questions, and if I needed some supplementary information, she'd send it to me. The guidance I received was pretty good. In other words, I was really sold on the idea that looking for a reverse mortgage for my particular situation was what I needed. My overall appreciation of them was very good.

A reverse mortgage was the best option for me since I had so much equity into my house and didn't know what I would need in the future. So, I was interested in a line of credit. I liked the loan originator that I was talking to at Finance of America Reverse. He seemed to be upfront. I had checked out different companies and felt more comfortable with them. My loan officer stayed in touch. If I had a question, he got the answer for me. There wasn't any high pressure to complete the loan if I didn't want to. These loans are very complicated. I have an advantage, having been a mortgage originator myself and into real estate before. But the average persons don't have a clue what they're doing with these loans, and these should be explained to them better. Everybody at Finance of America were very nice and efficient. I had a good experience with them.

I'm turning 75 and still work. I want to live a little comfortable when I retire. However, I didn't know where else to turn to. Then my family told me about Quicken Loans. I went there and put my name and address, then seconds later, I got calls. I got someone from Finance of America and I felt that I could trust this person. He wasn't pushy and it also felt that he was telling me the truth. He sent me the paperwork so I could look over and he told me that it was all up to me. Reverse mortgage is part of my retirement plan. I have more medical bills than I can deal with. I've spoken to a different company but went with FA because of the person I spoke to on the phone. She's the loan officer and was real nice and very willing to answer questions. I didn't get this nice warm, fuzzy feeling from the other person. However, I got the impression that FA was going to service the loan as well, and apparently it's not. I'm very uncomfortable when things change between the entity that gives the loan and the entity that services the loan because I've been badly treated by a loan servicer in the past. When a company turns the money over to a servicer, you just don't know what you're going to get. I need to give it a longer chance to see what's going on, but I was very disconcerted by the letter I was sent and the hoops I was put up with. I was not happy with that.

My wife is 82 years old and has Parkinson's disease. I didn't know how much medical bills we're gonna end up with but I knew that $700 a month off of paying Chase Bank, which I always hated doing anyway, would really help out. So I did a reverse mortgage plan with Finance America Reverse. I'm trying to set aside some of that every month for taxes. As long as I can keep those things going, I think everything should work out fine. Reverse mortgages are not for everybody, but I think it was just what we needed.

But the only thing that bothers me a little bit is I had some repair work to be done, minor stuff. I told them upfront that I do my own work. But I was not going to do it in the heat of summer, and that was okay. I'll probably get it done yet this month because it's finally cooling off.

We had two issues. First was our limited income, because the mortgage was too high for us at this age. Second was the fact that I had a lien for an IRS, that I wanted to do a reverse mortgage to pay both of them off so I could get them off my credit record. I went through bankruptcy in 2003 and even though we kept the house, I still finance it. I put on my credit as a lien, so I wanted both of the liens off my credit report. Nobody bothered to call me back, and then Finance of America Reverse called me.

Finance of America lets me make up my own mind. They said that they couldn’t give me any advice or show me what to do so I had to do it on my own. They gave me the summary of the options, but they couldn’t say which one was best. I thought it ended up well and as it went along they kept calling me and telling me what was to be next. They were good and they kept in touch as long as it was necessary.

Everything went very smoothly and I never had any problems with any phase of it. I would recommend them to anyone since I've really had a good experience.

I was not aware that there is an amount of money that I had to pay the government, and I cut myself short on money that I might need for extra things. My father did a reverse mortgage before and made out really well. This was during the Clinton days and everything was booming. My brother who was a financial advisor was helping him out. 15 years later, my brother said to him, “Hey, look at you. You’re starting to run low on money here with the reverse mortgage. Let’s go back in and see if we could refinance.” They went back in and gave him the same amount of money that he originally got for the 15 years. He got a whole new 15-year policy at the same money because the value of his house has gone up that much because things were so good in the day. But that was only like a one-time shot. Now, the guy I worked with from Finance of America Reverse told me that I could do the same thing. Any year things look good, we could refinance and maybe get more money in there.

I looked into a reverse mortgage because I want to retire. I have social security and a small retirement from the school, but it’s not going to be enough to live on, especially with the utility bills. So, not having a house payment meant so much, since every month now, I’m putting money back into my savings from my insurance and taxes, and it still gives me over $200 to have on my to-do list. My experience with Finance of America has been excellent. Mark, the young man that led me to it, was excellent in every way all the time and answered all my questions every time I called him. He might have gotten sick of the telephone calls, but he never acted like it.

My house was paid off and I wanted the money for my wife so she could pay the taxes in case something happened to me. The Finance of America Reverse loan officer seemed to know what he’s talking about. I knew when I paid the house off and that I wanted to go with the reverse mortgage so he didn’t have to convince me. They just took care of what I needed. So far it’s been exactly what they said it would be and we haven’t drawn anything out but they're sending me a bill saying how much I had in there. They are very nice about it. I had a hospital stay-in and have put them on hold for a while for about 15 days or so. They’ve done very well and the only thing that I requested is the amount that I asked for upfront. It was there when they told me it’d be there so I’m really satisfied.

We thought having a reverse mortgage was something that would make life easier. So we got Finance of America Reverse because they have got better ratings in the Better Business Bureau. The loan officer, John, and another one helped us a lot along the way so we understood what was going on. Overall, they are pretty good.

The loan officer from Finance of America Reverse worked diligently to get the loan for us. That’s big a plus for me because the first company I called never got back in touch with me. However, I still have an issue with Finance of America. I really would like to get more information and it just seems as if the information I was looking for was not forthcoming. Some questions were not answered yet. The loan officer said he was not available, but he would get the VP to try to answer the question for me and I haven’t heard from anyone since then.

She always calls back when I leave a message and usually within 15 minutes so I never had to wait for anything. The whole team that I worked with was very good and responsive. They were always there and worked in an expeditious manner so it actually happened a lot quicker than I expected. I was very impressed with the service as they went above and beyond.
