Last week, I bought 11 plastic crates to organize my garage. The price was $5.00 each. Today, I received the new Wal-Mart ad where the same crates were on sale: 2 for $5.00. I went to the store, and the lady at the customer service counter informed me that they do not match prices, even their own, but that she would check with a manager. After talking to the manager on the phone, she informed me she was right and that the manager said to return them and purchase them again. That is so stupid. I am not going to take everything out of them, but I will stop shopping at Wal-Mart. I live in a small town, hopefully not much longer; and they are the only place to shop. Now, I will drive 20 miles and shop in a real grocery or clothing store.

Last week, we bought a new bag of Iams mini chunks. Both of our dogs have been having diarrhea for the past week. I narrowed it down to the food, as our big dog stopped wanting to eat his food and he never refuses to eat. Our poodle has had diarrhea for the last 3 days. I am taking the food back to Wal-Mart and will be letting them know my findings.

On Friday, 7/30/09, I went shopping for Iams Meaty Beef & Rice dog food. There were 4 cans on the shelf; three of them were badly dented. I asked a stock person, who was unloading stock for the pet department if there was any in the back. She said no. I went back today (8/4/09), and there were four cans. Two of which were badly dented. My question is "Why does it take so long to replenish stock?"

I am writing to voice a complaint against Wal-Mart and to see if someone can help me with an encounter I recently had in one of your stores. I was in need of a new television set. So on July 5, 2009, I began my search online at www.walmart.com to compare several different television sets, 3 in particular, in order to make an informed decision about my purchase.
The 3 television sets I compared indicated differing information as to how they could be purchased - the first said "Out of Stock Online for $648.00," the second said "Not Sold Online for $598.00," and the third said "In Limited Stores for $698.00." The second television set was the one I was interested in, and since Wal-Mart's online website indicated it was not sold online, I clicked the Find in Store button. There were several stores in my area listed, including the Kannapolis, North Carolina store, which was where I went to purchase this television set.
When I went to that store after Wal-Mart's online website directed me to do so, I tried to purchase a Vizio 42" television for your online price of $598.00, which was priced in the store for $697.00. I inquired about purchasing this television for Wal-Mart's online advertised price of $598.00. Imagine my surprise when a sales associate informed me that their store, Wal-Mart, was not affiliated with walmart.com and specifically that Wal-Mart stores do not match walmart.com.
I could not imagine why walmart.com would direct me to a store to purchase an item when the Wal-Mart store will not honor its price. This type of behavior would appear to be along the lines of false advertising and is, at least, a misrepresentation of advertised prices. If walmart.com and Wal-Mart do not match each other's prices, one would think there would be some type of noticeable disclaimer indicating such and/or that walmart.com would operate under a different name since they clearly and obviously, as I have been informed, are not Wal-Mart.
Yet, ironically enough, for example, both entities advertise $4 prescriptions and many other items, which would appear that they do, in fact, consistently operate together. If nothing else, common sense would dictate that if I could not purchase an item online for a set price and was referred to finding a store (not a walmart.com store, but a Wal-Mart store) to purchase said item, that the prices would be the same. Why price an item at all online if you cannot even purchase it online? Where could I purchase this item for the advertised online price?
After my most frustrating experience and while still in the Kannapolis store, I spoke with Pete, the assistant manager about this inconsistency; and I was further given information that Wal-Mart did not match other Wal-Mart prices and/or walmart.com. I later even called 1-800-WAL-MART and spoke with someone named Corissa, who gave me the same spiel. I have now been told by Wal-Mart employees at varying levels (sales associate, assistant manager, and customer service representative) the exact same thing about their inabilities to now make me a satisfied customer. If only Wal-Mart's consistency in telling people what cannot be done would match their inability to be consistent in the pricing of items, I imagine I would not be writing this letter in the first place and fewer people would complain about the treatment they receive at a Wal-Mart store.
I realize that I am only one person and that if I no longer shopped at Wal-Mart, it would make no reflection at all in their sales; but I would think that Wal-Mart would operate its business under the same guidelines and adhere to what should be a high standard of customer satisfaction. I would like to point out 2 statements that I found on Walmart.com:
(1) "The secret of successful retailing is to give your customers what they want. And really, if you think about it from your point of view as a customer, you want everything: a wide assortment of good-quality merchandise; the lowest possible prices; guaranteed satisfaction with what you buy; friendly, knowledgeable service; convenient hours; free parking; a pleasant shopping experience." - Sam Walton (1918-1992); and
(2) Another Mission - Another walmart.com goal providing easy access to more Wal-Mart is evident in the more than 1,000,000 products available online and in the innovative businesses that walmart.com continues to develop, such as Music Downloads and 1-Hour Photos, which gives customers the convenience of ordering products online and picking them up at a local Wal-Mart.
In short, walmart.com is passionate about combining the best of two great worlds - technology and world-class retailing - to give customers a wide assortment of their favorite products, Every Day Low Prices, guaranteed satisfaction, friendly service, convenient hours (24 hours, 7 days a week), and a great online shopping experience.
I have yet to receive friendly service or to have a pleasant shopping experience, nor do I see where either walmart.com or Wal-Mart have provided the best of two great worlds to the consumer. How is it that you can order products online and pick them up at a local Wal-Mart when the two supposedly are not affiliated with each other? No one I spoke with even offered any advice to me as to how I could purchase this television set at the advertised online price. As a matter of fact, they acted as if they could care less about my problem and went about their business, which is how many Wal-Mart associates usually act.
Not once was I even asked what could be done to make me happy, which would appear to me (your average consumer) to be a shining example of true customer service. While realizing that Wal-Mart has the monopoly that it does on retail purchasing, it is my sincere hope that one day they will truly care about their customers, the people who made Wal-Mart what it is today.

I went to Wal-Mart on July 27, 2009 and used my sale ads. I was told that they would not take one of my sale ads because they said that the store ad was a generic meat that they sold at the store while the name of the meat that was on sale was called Terry’s. They would not give it to me. They always say that they take all sale ads, but they don’t.

I went to the store, developed prints, and made CD. On 7/29/09, as advertised, books are $7.00. I made up the photos for 2 books and got in line to pay. The clerk said they did not have the books for the photos. They were ordered 2 days ago and have not arrived. She said she could hold pictures and would call when books came in. I said ok. I stopped at the store on 8/2/09, and the books still had not came in. It was said they were ordered again. I feel if you advertise an item, they should be in-store.

I shop for groceries in Walmart in Selma all the time. Today (8/01/09), I picked all the items I was going to purchase. The cashier rang all my items up. I gave her a blank check and showed her my driver's license. She typed in my driver's license number. But she typed it in wrong, therefore, my check would not go through. She and the key tech did not call the 1-800 number while I was in the store. They just voided my purchase and checked out the next customer. I had to leave out the store and go to the parking lot to call the 1-800 number myself. The lady that I talked to told me I should have not had to leave the store. She also informed me that the cashier entered the wrong driver's license number. I was gone only 15 minutes and they had taken my items out of the bags and thrown them back into the basket. The cashier was too lazy to correct her mistake, and I was treated unfairly for a mistake someone else made. And she was too selfish and lazy to correct it. I had to do it myself.

Well, it was really crowded on July 31, 2009 and I was in line for quite some time to cash my check. The lady in front of me had a MoneyGram form to fill out and so the cashier motioned for me to come forward so she could assist me while the other customer was filling out her form. I had folded my check to put in my wallet so it had a crease in it. It took a few tries for the cash register to accept it and by this time, the other customer was finished so the cashier, while she did count it as it came from the drawer, just handed it to me. I felt bad for it taking so long for my check to go through and the line was so long that I accepted it without counting it myself and I was comfortable with the cashier. I do know her personally and she has been an employee at Walmart for quite sometime.
I had to go to work that evening and I didn't really count my money until the next morning and was fifty dollars short. I called Walmart and I spoke to a lady named Heather in accounting. She asked if I still have my receipt and I did, so I was able to give the information that she asked me for. She said that they would call me back. Another lady called me back and she said that they checked the tape from the drawer and they were not long and that their protection manager viewed a video tape of the transaction and that the cashier had counted the money back to me twice and he also viewed that it was indeed the correct amount of money.
I asked, "Could I view the tape?" She said that she had never been asked that before and she had to ask someone. She left the phone for half a second and got back on the phone. She said that they could help me no further. I mean that lady tried her best to rush me off the phone. I mean, who was on my side? No one. I hope Walmart is satisfied keeping a mother of three and a very honest, good person keeping my phone bill money in their greedy pockets.

While I was shopping in your Midland store this morning, I asked a man, who I believe works in the automotive department, if he was aware of where the liverwurst was kept. He assisted me to the area he believed it was kept which was the deli department. He asked the girl behind the counter if she knew where it was located, and she practically bit the poor man's head off. Now, I would kind of understand if the department was busy, but she was standing around doing nothing. There was no reason for her to talk to him like that when he was nothing but polite with her. This is the second time I've experienced rudeness in the deli department. Today's date is August 1, 2009. I was there at approximately 11:30. It was the older, heavy-set woman, not the younger girl.

I ordered a cheaper camera I found on Walmart.com that was not available in the stores. It’s a Vivitar ViviCam 5022 (order number **) which I purchased by credit card on July 17, 2009. I have tracked it all week hoping to receive it by tomorrow, August 1, 2009, because that is my 15-year HS reunion. I had been calling customer service and the on-site store checking the status, but no one could tell me anything because no shipping info had been updated online since July 21. Today, I received an email that I was being issued a refund. I called customer service and was told my order was lost, so they were refunding me my money. This terribly upset me because I don't have a camera for my reunion. I won't see the refund for who knows how long and I do not have the money to go out and purchase a new camera.
I have been back and forth on the phone between Walmart.com’s customer service to their manager, Shante, who was mean and loud and not helpful, and to the on-site store manager who told me they are separate companies so she couldn't help me either. So no one cares about my situation and no one is willing to do a thing for me. Hopefully, I will at least see my refund sometime soon. But as for taking pictures of my 15-year reunion - it’s ruined. And this is a huge deal to me, as it should've been to Walmart.com or its separate entity, Walmart!

I feel I was unfairly targeted by members of management at Wal-Mart. Today, I was called into the office for "lack of productivity" or slow productivity. My department manager, as well as other co-workers, can vouch that I am a good employee. I don't cause any trouble and I always do what is asked and required. I was given a verbal coaching and now I am facing termination. The reason I feel I was unfairly targeted is because over the course of my employment at this particular Wal-Mart, I've seen various employees slacking on the job. When I say slacking, I mean sitting down and not lifting a finger while others are sweating and working hard.
Members of management know who is working and who isn't, yet they refuse to coach those individuals who are not productive. I was singled out for an unjust reason and now I may be out of a job. And for what reason? Their reason lacks merit. I'm a good employee by all definitions, yet they want to get rid of me. Maybe they are trying to cut costs due to the current economic situation our country is facing. I'm not sure, but I don't think it is fair to put someone in unemployment for an unjust reason. I think if you're going to coach or write someone up, be fair about and coach everyone who it applies to and not just a select few that members of management want to get rid of. Be fair across the board - that is all I'm asking. Is that unreasonable?

Kelly (in electronics, I think) stated to me "You don't know how to read." It's the first thing she said to me when I asked her a question about buying a Vizio 32-inch TV, and I stated there was no TV of the make and size on display. She stated that it's because it's a cheap TV, at which time, she went to the same place in the back where she left me standing there not knowing if she was going back to where she was to start with or going to look.
After a wait, I heard a scratching or dragging sound. When coming through the door, she was dragging the TV (not on a dolly), bending the box, and getting dirt on whatever part of the packing was in contact with the floor at that moment and with total disregard for the groceries in my cart. She threw the TV on my milk bread and everything else in the cart, and she started walking away, while I was trying to ask her a question about the TV. She pulled it out and dragged it over to the counter, where I could ask her a question, since she could not move as fast while pushing the TV.
So, I asked if she could tell me if the remote either lights up or is reflective, at which time, she took out something, opened the box, then complained to me that it's on the bottom. It was not. She then pulled it from the box and dropped it or something else from the box, at which time, I requested to speak to the store manager. She said no and went into the backroom. After a long while, she came out and ignored me; and a short time later, assistant manager Jeff came out and said he would speak to her and ask if he could be of any further help.
I received a call from Dan (store manager), who also apologized for Kelly from electronics on 07/29/09 afternoon. Showed (Kelly) Wal-Mart website printout before all this started had me confused why Wal-Mart website gave the Vizio 32-inch model VOJ32 for $498.00 and a good rating to have Kelly tell me it's garbage. I ended up leaving without the TV. I have been shopping in Wal-Marts for many years and have been satisfied with both service and products, but after this experience, I am more confused about the TV. Both quality of Vizio and the service of Kelly are beyond words.

We bought Great Value Purified Drinking Water with flavor enhancing minerals, 24-500ml (0 78742 11433 0), purchase date 07-27-2009, distributed by Bentonville, AR 72716 (NGK03121B). At first, we thought it was our cooking of a different product when my wife had a big pain in her stomach. But over the next couple days when making our daughter her formula, Similac, her eating habits changed. She spit up a lot and cried more. We thought it was the weather. I finally tasted the water today myself. And over the few days of experience, I've concluded the problems we are having is the drinking water listed. Above from birth, our 3.5-month old daughter has only had bottled water. We stopped by the nearest store at the moment on Monday night and picked up a pack of 24 bottled lowest priced bottled water at the Kennewick Wal-Mart on 27th avenue, Washington 99336.
I tasted this water at 9:15 am today and it tasted dry and not so good. I hope I'm wrong on this but we went to the local Winco and got the water we've been getting since our baby has been born. I asked my wife this morning if she had drank the water last night. She said yes and she did have stomach cramps. We have stopped using the water immediately and hope this can be resolved. Question, shall we take it back to the store or hold onto this water? For further investigation?

Wal-Mart in Cedar Falls, IA has recently remodeled the inside of their store. The aisles are now wider, but the inventory has gone way down. They have less name brand groceries and more store brand. I'm sorry, but not everything tastes good in the Great Value Brand. They don't have near as many grocery selections as they did before, and the prices have gone up significantly. For instance, Duncan Hines Cake mixes have gone up 30 cents. Cereal and crackers are higher. Paper products are higher, and the selection is way down. But, they can get more people comfortably in the aisles now.
You can't buy as much stuff but you can get more people in there. They have no craft section anymore and no fabric section. But, it is "so nice" to be able to walk in a wider aisle. The aisles were fine before. It used to be nice to go to the Cedar Falls Wal-Mart. I would not go to the Waterloo store. It is not as nice and not as clean. But it is no longer any fun to go to the Cedar Falls store either. You can't find everything you need anymore. I am so glad there is a new Target across the street that just opened.

We purchased a Hometrends patio set about 2 years ago from this store. On July 25, 2009, we heard a loud boom and went outside to investigate and found the glass top had exploded into thousands of pieces. We worked for several hours picking up and vacuuming the deck, but days later we are still finding small shards everywhere, especially under the deck which is located over the entrance to our walk-out basement. I of course cannot use the deck until I am sure every shard has been picked up and disposed of properly. The problem with this is I have four dogs and we use both exits out of the house many times a day. The deck is also my only means of using my power-chair because I am disabled and cannot walk for only very short distances. But my dogs are the real problem. I am so afraid they might get glass in their feet. So far we have been lucky and this has not occurred.
I now understand that there have been hundreds of complaints about exploding patio tops. Why hasn't something been done about this problem? Surely, all the consumers who have experienced this problem must have some rights - at the very least, an agreement to replace the tops with a quality glass or return the purchase price of these sets. What has to happen before we are recognized about our valid complaint? Does someone have to be seriously injured before any action is taken on this problem?

Today, I went to your store in Oakland to purchase a laptop computer. All in all, this is the worst shopping experience I have been exposed to in years. The store was not very busy and the department selling laptops had no other customers. At the iPod counter, there were two ladies in conversation. I waited and asked if someone could direct me to the laptops. I was told go around the corner and I will see them. It took me some time to locate them, but was not going to ask again since clearly I was not welcome to do so. I had some questions and went back to the counter and asked if anyone could help me. I was directed to the next counter.
Five ladies were behind the counter having a conversation. No one acknowledged I was there. After approximately 4 minutes, I addressed Pat if someone could assist me purchasing a laptop. All of them just looked at each other like I had asked the strangest question. Finally, a young Asian lady got the key and said, “Come with me.” Clearly, she did not know much about the products and I had to ask specifics about the specials. She told me there were none. Clearly, there were several stickers noting “special" on a label. She went to ask for assistance. All 4 ladies approached the area with the "manager" discussing if her photos would be developed in a timely fashion; if she would give them in today, when could she expect to get them returned? I was perplexed.
I had been waiting for 15 minutes trying to figure out the type of laptop to purchase and get someone to assist me when an employee interaction seemed to have priority. Finally, with much complaining, Pat and the other 2 ladies retuned to me. Since no one knew where the "specials" were, I asked if one particular LT was on sale - a big mistake. Very quickly I was put in my place and was told she (Pat) was working there and knew better than me what was on sale, etc. I apologized for causing any problems when Pat said to the young Asian girl, "Here are the keys. I am not dealing with her. You were helping her, so finish it." She clearly tried her best to assist me. A gentleman customer observing this display told them to "hold it down".
All three sales clerks disappeared back to the counter discussing my inadequacy in purchasing a computer. By this time, I was clearly upset. In a very rude fashion, I was asked for my credit card and ID. When I told them I would definitely write a letter of complaint and gave them my name, all now made sure the name tag was not visible. Finally, Michelle, the training manager, came to my assistance and was very apologetic and demonstrated concern and caring about consumers and the store itself. Very refreshing. My computer system failed in my office and in order to save the files, I had to purchase a computer very quickly and was looking for the most economic way to do so. However, I do not think I will repeat this fiasco. No longer will I shop at Walmart in Oakland and will inform my friends and clients to be aware.
At the present time, the job marked is in such distress and I cannot imagine your store having employees with such poor consumer ethics. If this had been any of my employees, he/she would be looking for a job post hastily. Hopefully, you will give this matter some value to prevent future problems. I may add that it will be very unlikely for any one of your employees to confess any wrongdoing. It was clearly my fault indeed, how could I disrupt their conversation? And, no, there was no training being conducted at the time.

They brought me the wrong bike (exact model minus the basket). Then, I went to the back to retrieve my daughter's bike. I was told that the bike "is fine, that is just how it is." There were no offers for an exchange, refund, or anything. My daughter can't even pedal the bike because of the dragging rear hub. It squeals and grinds - a very obvious defect! Out of curiosity, I checked what the other bike (the first one they brought up) was in for; and it too was in for a noisy rear wheel. I then went and checked other bikes similar to my daughter's, and all the bikes on the rack had the same noisy rear wheel. Wal-Mart is selling junk and is aware of it! Your store is filthy. Your staff is unbelievably rude, uneducated and slow. I can’t believe your managers are allowing this kind of behavior to continue. If one of your staff members comes in smelling of B.O. so bad that the smell makes you want to puke, you should send that person home. The fish in this store are pitiful and ate up with fungus. The fish tank is filthy and uncared for. Something needs to be done or Wal-Mart has lost my business. Brenda should not be over the fish, if she cannot properly take care of them or the customers. She is the rudest employee I have ever dealt with. What happened to customer service?

She was very rude to me. She then kept watching me and my husband's every move. She was talking about us to another employee saying, "Would not listen." I asked to speak to a manager. The manager then came to the employee and asked what happened. She said we were cursing at her. That was not true. He then got in my husband's face yelling at him in front of the whole store. He told us to get out. He had to other employees with him, one who I think didn't even work there. The manager was rude and very physical telling my husband he belongs in jail. I feel that we were discriminated against because my husband and I have tattoos.

On the Wal-Mart flyer dated Sunday, July 26 through Saturday, August 1, there was a Compaq Presario CQ60-419WM laptop computer advertised for $298. The ad clearly stated that the item was available at 8:00 a.m. on July 26, 2009, that quantities were limited and that there would be a minimum quantity of 10 per store. No rain checks were available. I arrived at the store at 7:45 a.m. today, July 26, and headed directly to the electronics department. A line had already formed and there were five people ahead of me, making me the sixth person for the 10 available. There was no one in the department when I arrived and when someone finally showed up, they were unable to help us and got a manager. Upon his arrival, we explained what we were there for and he went into the back warehouse area to get the item. Upon his return, he explained that they only had five of the item and that three had been brought to the front checkout area for purchase. He returned with the two that were still stocked and they went to the first two in line. As the others in line thought, wouldn't a limited quantity electronics item be available in the electronics department?
This is not the first time this has happened at this store. Co-workers of mine have had similar experiences where an item is advertised for a specific time or quantity and they have not fulfilled their advertisement. I had made numerous attempts today to email Wal-Mart customer service concerning this matter and their site keeps kicking me out! I only want what I am entitled to, which is this computer at the price offered as I was at the store and met the advertised criteria. I would be more than happy to pay the $298 and have the item shipped to me, but I do not feel that I should have to pay any shipping or handling charges. Please help me concerning this matter.

Everything was going fine until the guy asked to see my ID, which didn't make sense because I was using my ATM card to pay for it. So, I handed him my ID and he walked off and almost 1 hour later he came back and told me, "I have to deny the purchase because there is no way to tell if this ID is real or not." Just for the record, I'm originally from Reno, NV and I just moved here and haven't gotten a new ID yet.

This is sort of a new store and I don't know my way around there. So, I saw somebody who seemed to work there and she had a name badge on (assistant manager Tasha). I asked her where the cleaning supplies were and she pointed here and there, which didn't help me at all. When I told her I didn't understand the direction, she got really snotty and just walked away from me. I don't think they should get such an attitude at their customers. I think I'll go back to Target where the people are much nicer. My daughter was nearby and she said this attitude was uncalled for and she's not going back either.

Sheesh, okay, I understand that people have stolen things before, (but!) the least they could do to stop anyone else stealing items such as your darn perfume, would be to put a special counter there with a cash register and that would stop a lot of people feeling like criminals. Thank you.

I bought a 46 inch Polaroid LCD HDTV from Walmart. I bought the in-store warranty for 2 years. It has been 1 year and 8 months and this TV is already completely tore up. It started with a pinstripe blue line down the center of the screen. I called the number on the warranty slip. They came and got it 3 weeks ago. After about a week, I got curious about what was wrong with it. It was our only TV. I could not get anyone to answer the phone. I called for days, all I got was a recording. I called the phone number on my receipt and reached the New service center - Walmart's warranty center. I have been lied to over and over again. They have told me repeatedly that it would be 3 days.
I finally got a hold of the man who picked up my TV and he sent a message to the repair place in another state. The verdict is that my TV cannot be fixed. It needs a new LCD screen and they cannot find one to fix it. The gentleman told me that he had emailed this company called New and told them this. He also told me that they would deny it and they did. I finally got a hold of a young lady just today and I demanded to speak to a supervisor. He said that it would be 3 more days before he could tell me anything. They are still looking for a part, the LCD screen. I asked, "What happens if you do not find one?" He said he would call me in 3 days and tell me something.
So hopefully, we will get our broken TV back tomorrow as promised. At least I will not feel like it has been stolen any longer even though it is still broken. This has been a terrible and exhausting process and it still is not resolved. The people at the warranty center are like robots. They all say the same thing and they do not return your phone calls. I have always been a Walmart shopper, but I will never again buy anything from them.

I am a victim of check fraud. Someone stole my checking account number and printed it on a check with a name other than mine. My bank has resolved me of any fault, but Wal-Mart has sent it to a collections agency under my name. Now I have suddenly become the wrong-doer instead of the victim. Getting a letter from a collections agency threatening that my credit will no longer be good at 300,000 merchants and banks is very disturbing. I am a 61-year-old retired nurse who has never done anything illegal in my life. Having someone steal your checking account number is a terrible invasion of privacy and very unsettling. But to then be harassed by a collections agency for something I had no part in is even worse. Perhaps Wal-Mart could investigate a situation before they give someone's good name to a collections agency. This has caused me unnecessary stress and emotional strain. When using my debit card, the machine asked if I wanted cash back. I pushed the black button on the key pad for no. It then went to the next screen to confirm the about which should be $3.48. I pushed yes to accept it. In return it gave me $20.00 cash back, which I did not want or request. My daughter and I were shopping for my grandson's birthday gifts and party supplies at your Renton, WA store. One of his requests was a Spiderman pinata. We found the pinata hanging in a display (too high to reach) in the shoe department. We asked Brandon (store manager) if he could get it down for us and he said he would try to find someone to help get it down. We waited and no one came back. We decided to proceed to the checkout area and get help there. We saw Brandon standing at the checkout area talking to another employee. I asked him if he found someone to help us and he laughed. "Well, I was stopped three times and couldn't find anyone," he said. So I asked him, "Are you going to get it for us or find someone?" He did nothing, just stood talking to the other employer (not about business).
Then the sales lady at the checkout told me, "You can't talk to him like that because he is a manager." A manager? What kind of people do you hire to be managers? We then asked the sales clerk why there was no one in that department to help anyone and she said they must all be at lunch. Why would everyone be at lunch or on a break at the same time especially at a very busy time of day which was between 6:30-7:30pm? If we had not had a small child with us, we would have just stood in the line until someone helped us and that would have caused a major inconvenience to the other 8 customers in line behind us. We left the store without the pinata.

I purchased a product to kill Japanese beetles. I live in an apartment with a small deck 7' x 9'. I needed to kill the beetles in my plants on my deck. I made the mistake of getting a product for trees and shrubs that attached to a hose to apply it. I tried to return the purchased product and was told at the customer service center that any product with hazardous contents could not be refunded. I was told the policy was posted in the garden center.
I walked to the garden center and asked the salespersons where this sign was. They knew nothing about it, except it was at the customer service counter only. I went back to the customer service center and advised them that there was no signage in the garden center as they had told me. They contacted the garden center and they verified that there was no signage to the effect of no returns on any product with hazardous materials. The customer service center then called the assistant manager and was told that even though there was no signage stating that any product with hazardous contents could not be returned, they would not refund my monies.
If this is to be your policy to cover your rules, don't you think maybe it would be a good idea that being fair to the public and keeping your shoppers coming back. It would be a good idea to post the signage at all points of purchase, including the shelves that display the products, the check out registers at all points, not just some points and right now just the customer service center. It’s a little late after you purchase something that you find out that there is a policy (not published for the general public) only shown at the point of return and not at the point of choosing or purchasing a product. It’s like, we have your money and you can't have it back if you buy it.
At age 69, I should know better than to shop at non-specialty stores. If I want garden products, go to a nursery. If I want clothing, go to a clothing store. If you want drug store items, go to a drug store. I am now more likely to believe all the stories of poor customer service and putting the customer first that I have heard about Wal-Mart.

Same rep then went up front and asked for someone to come to the paint department. In the meantime, another gentleman came looking for paint also. This man went to get us some assistance two different times. We both still waited and we left after a total of 25 minutes. I had to buy some vitamins. They received the card within less than a week. When they tried to use it, it was declined. My son recently moved to TX and is just getting established. He has 2 young children. They needed to purchase food.
I emailed Wal-Mart twice for assistance with the declined card. I received 1 response telling me to call services Monday through Friday at 9am-5pm. My son called both American Express and Wal-Mart to no avail. I called Wal-Mart, only to be told they could do nothing to activate the card; they were having having problems with American Express. I just had eye surgery and was unable to drive. Finally, I was told that they would try to expedite an authorization to have the charge activated. I was given a number to check the card's status. That number was unavailable 10 minutes prior to closing of the published office hours. It's the weekend. I have to wait till Monday to pursue this issue. If you go to Wal-Mart to save money, think twice, or at least take somebody else with you to keep a close eye on what the cashier is typing in the meantime you're putting your things on the counter. Be careful! The cashier always mark the same item 2 or 3 times! Apparently, they don't know how to count. Maybe, they didn't go to school.
I had 1 begonia, but the ticket showed up 2, just to give an example. Ok, it doesn't matter; it's only 95 cents. But today, it was amazing. I had 2 packets of razors, $5.97 each. She marked one and the second one, and she said, "Oh, it didn't take it." So she kept marking, and I said, "Both are the same price!" So she erased one (I looked at the screen to be sure about it.), but then she marked one more time again. And I didn't see it till I was at home. How am I supposed to come back and claim for that?
This has happened several times with different cashiers. Are they trained for that? I mean, "get 2, pay 3" and "get 1, pay 2." Oh yes! Save money, live better, great deal! They always make mistakes when over-typing the number of one same item, but never for less. If you are a busy person as I am, don't go shopping to Wal-Mart in a rush. And always take your time to check your ticket before leaving the check-out register. This never happened to me at Publix.

I carried my grand daughter and her husband to our local Wall-Mart Super Center last night where they found a TV stand for $19.00. When we got to the check out, it rang up $24.00. I had checked the bar code number and it matched the number on the sticker on the shelf with the $19.00 price. After they were made to pay $24.00, I went back and checked and found that it was stocked in both the $24.00 and the $19.00 spots. Like most on a limited income, they had counted their money and figured they had enough to buy the item. Stockers should not put items they do not have room for in another spot on the shelf as that is very confusing.
My real complaint is that the bar code number was on both prices and a stocker should pay attention. I don't feel like they should have had to pay the higher price and the lady checking on the problem didn't really seem to want to hear what we were trying to tell her because she kept saying that she went by the item number and not the bar code number, which should not have been on both price stickers on the shelf. A little training could go a long way at Wall-Mart in several places in the store. I have said so many times that I was not going to shop there again. This has pretty much made up my mind for me. I actually tried to get them not to buy the item and told them that I would take them elsewhere. Thank you.

This past Sunday, June 28, 2009, my family and I were at the Walmart located at Livermore, CA 94550. My son and I decided to visit the pet department with the dozens of fish tanks and many varieties of pet fish. As we began to view the fish, we took notice that almost every tank contained at least one dead and/or decaying fish. To make matters worse, we noticed that living fish were feasting on dead carcasses.
It was our (and another two customers') belief and knowledge that most of the dead fish in all the tanks had been there for quite some time as they had been decayed to the point where only skeletons remained and live fish were feasting upon any remaining flesh. There were so many dead fish in one tank, that the water filter intakes were jammed with dead fish bodies (I have pictures). There were fish skeletons, floating fish with white eyes, decaying fish on the bottom of tanks, and mounds of dead fish clustered into groups. It was apparent that all their fish had not been fed in days if not weeks.
I was so saddened at this horrific sight, that I summoned the store manager with the assistance of a cashier. After being informed that the manager is off on Sundays, I requested the assistant manager. Pam and Sam, both with Assistant Manager name tags, met and proceeded to follow me to the pet department. I explained to them that as a pet fish owner, my observation is that the fish are not being cared for properly nor being fed regularly. Pam's attitude and demeanor changed and she proceeded to inform me that they clean the tanks daily. I proceeded to inform her that fish don't just die overnight and turn into skeletons nor clump into groups with decaying eyes and bodies. Furthermore, most of the pet fish Walmart sells do not eat dead carcass unless they are really hungry or starving. Becoming more defensive, Pam stated that they have to report the number of dead fish they find (I'm unsure of this and curious) and proceeded to delegate someone to immediately clean and remove the dead fish from the tanks.
Later, as I was checking out at a cashier, Pam and her cronies, approach and inform me not to strike any conversations with the cashier and threatened to remove me from the store. I informed her I was only making casual conversation about the weather, and why did I have to leave the store? She again reiterated, to not make any conversation with the cashiers and to finish my transaction (in excess of $100 that day) and to leave the store.
I did not feel I had done anything to merit such action, other than to identify a form of cruelty and inhumane action for living creatures being sold in a national chain store classified as pets. I informed her that I would be contacting Corporate and also post my concerns along with the pictures I took on the internet. If Walmart chooses to sell pets, they need to ensure the well being of any living creatures albeit fish. I am very disappointed at Walmart's policy and behavior towards customers who identify such issues and then are thrown out of the store. More care and compassion should be provided to fish as many young children visit the pet section to view the fish and also consider them to be pets. Young children should not be subjected to see such neglect happening in a public environment such as Walmart.

July 1, 2009, we were in the store about 6:00 PM, a lot of the shelves were bare. We could not find products we usually buy at Wal-Mart. Also, we could not find an employee to ask for help. As we were checking out, my husband went to the customer service desk and asks to speak to a supervisor. He asked about a product, they didn't know if it was available or not. Did not try to help find it or call someone to help.
We do a lot of shopping in this store, but it is not stocking like it use to and the employees could care less especially the supervisors. We go to a town 65 miles East and one 150 miles East, they are stocked and so helpful. It’s a shame this store is going down hill!
We had no damage except we are very disappointed in our hometown Wal-Mart. We've had a small local store open up and we (and a lot of people we've talked to) are going there if Wal-Mart can’t stock or care about their customers.

I had given her the necessary information but she did not have the card or the bill with her. I understand the policy of the store; however, the personnel was rude and disrespectful to her.
The next day, I went to the store to speak with the manager regarding my concern. She was not available in person so I was told that I need to speak to her over the phone. While I was there, I noticed that the store seems to be handled in an unorganized fashion. Also, the elevator and the escalator were both out of order. We went to go use the bottle return. All of the cans/plastic machines were not working except for one. We used that one, which soon stopped working. We had to wait for a long time for someone to come fix the machine. When they did, the person was rude. We also only had 2 machines fixed and they kept messing up and not letting us return bottles. After about 45 minutes of trying to return bottles with the machines going down and them constantly messing up, we decided to leave. We took our money and went to Meijer’s, whose machines worked fine. We did not even get done returning all of our bottles and had to take the rest to Meijer’s.
The service desk seemed to not care about our problem and they stood there talking amongst themselves for about 3 minutes before they addressed me. The next time I went up there, there was a very long line. I want to add that I had to tried and convinced my fiancé that we should go to Wal-Mart instead of Meijer’s because I believe Wal-Mart's prices are cheaper. Also, we live in South Warren, so going to Meijer’s is 3 miles closer to us than going to Wal-Mart. However, I regret doing this because of the hassle and time that we wasted. I also wanted to add we often return our bottles, so we will not be coming back to this store since this seems to be such a problem. We will be going to other places instead since we return bottles frequently.

So I will go back to Wal-Mart one more time to buy my groceries and if it is still so hot that it makes me sweat and can’t breathe, I will no longer shop at Wal-Mart. I will go to a store that is not making customers suffer while they shop. What will Wal-Mart do when some worker has a heat stroke in the store from putting up stock and getting too hot? Is it really good for all that food to get hot then cool, then hot again? I was also asking myself if that could be good for their products to get hot then cool.

The customer service manager was very rude and was basically calling me a thief. It turns out that the TV that was in the box was originally sold in September of 2008, which means that someone did not do their job correctly when the last person returned it. There is no way I would work any employees under these conditions. You are putting these people's lives in jeopardy because of the extreme heat. You get out of your climate controlled office and go to work for one hour in a hot box. See how you feel and how well you can operate. Don't tell me that you cannot afford to repair one evaporative cooling unit. You all waste more in five minutes than it would cost to repair that unit. My purse was in the child carrier section of the buggy. I asked the check out clerk to please call my number and see if it would ring, which she did. It went immediately to voice mail. That meant it had been turned off and I never turn it off because it is for my business.
I realized immediately it had been stolen. When I asked the store employees about checking the cameras they refused. They said the cameras probably weren't working properly. The Dallas police officer that was working security was busy texting on his phone and said, “Oh the cameras probably aren't pointed in the right direction because we're remodeling.” He didn't even offer to get a unit to take a report or anything. I shop a lot at Wal-Mart, because I enjoy the big discount items, the items that are moved from their department to a separate section (isle) that is major mark downs. On 6/21/09, I purchased 8 items at the self-checkout, self-checkout because that's where I check-out every time when in Wal-Mart. No problems while shopping are checking out except the 4th item scanned, it didn’t register that I had already dropped in the bagging. The cashier had excellent view of my scans and products, and not a problem when she cleared the scanner for me to continue checking out. Paid with cash, got a receipt and change. I waited for my friend to check out at the same spot, we continued to exit out of the right front side of store door. The clerk greeted us to 'have a nice evening' and took my baggy, he was very nice.
We passed through a section, stopped to get a soda and that is when the female clerk approached me and stated, "We have random spot checks and you happened to be the certain # customer to be exiting our store, could I see your bags please?" I then handed her my receipt, opened my bags for her, to the so-called Spot check, to which I also know there's no such policy! At this time she said, that I did not ring up an item that was in my bags and insisted I give her all my bags. At this point, I was getting a little upset and told her "No, you're not going anywhere with my purchased items, we will look together at the receipt matched to items." She had already snatched my receipt back away, so I then told her to mark the items on the receipt as we emptied my bags. Then she wanted to act stupid and asks me where the binoculars were on the receipt, I then answered, the only one that doesn't have a CK. besides it, the 4th item scanned! She then took the binoculars and my receipt, and disappeared.
I went back in the store ask the clerk where did she go? I found her coming from customer service and she said that the UPC on the receipt did not match the binocular she was then holding, said they were $35.97. I told her to give me the $9.97 back for the ones I had scanned then. I told her whatever the difference is, let me pay it now and be on my way. I totally don't know the Wal-Mart policy and I now feel that I should have insisted she call DPD so they could have done a report, then I, without a shadow of doubt could have sued Wal-Mart **. This complaint is a little late because I didn't know about this consumer complaint source. On 01-01-09, I went to Walmart, where I like to do my one stop shopping. Phillas was one of the front door greeters (but anything than that!) I am a disabled veteran and use a handicapped cart. When the other greeter Cookie sees me coming, she gets the scooter out for me and then when I leave, she helps me transfer my merchandise to a regular buggy because Walmart won't let me take it to my car where other grocery stores not only let me take it to my car they send a clerk to help me. Well, I knew from previous visits that Phillas wasn't going to help me because she is too busy visiting with friends or other employees.
I went to the handicapped cart and turned it on but it won't move, I looked for another clerk to help me but there was only Phillas. I walked up to her where she was still visiting and said, “Excuse me, I can't get the cart to work" Phillas got very upset saying "All you have to do is turn it on." Phillas then got on the cart and turned the switch and it moved. Phillas then put her hand out palm up and said "there!" I said "I didn't like the way she was addressing me and I would call the manager."
Phillas took her name tag and shoved it in my face. I told her she was supposed to be helping me instead of visiting. Phillas said, "I wasn't visiting." I got on the cart and said "I've had enough of your lip!" I went to the customer service counter and asked to see the manager, at the same time Phillas went to the first checkstand fastlane, away from her job station and was talking to the checker and pointing at me. The fastlane checker then left her job station and walked out into the aisle and gave me a dirty look for at least 30 seconds. Well the manager never showed so I took the cart back to the front door where Phillas was visiting with someone else. I left and went to Fry's.
When I got home, I called Walmart and spoke to an assistant manager, I told her what happened, she seemed to be OK with Phillas visiting with her friends and at the end of our conversation she said, "Try to have a nice day." I wrote the president of Walmart in Arkansas a letter and sent the store manager a copy which to date, I have not been contacted! I haven't shopped at Walmart since. Walmart lost a $300.00 a month customer and it's made my shopping twice as hard on me as a disabled vet.

Of course, my complaint of no one helping you is probably as much a general complaint as any but I do have one that I and others just can't get accustomed to. We pay for our purchases at the cash register. With our purse and or wallets open, we carefully wrap our receipt around our card and snug it away for safety. Then we leave from the cash register to the exit door to now be stopped by another worker wanting to see our ticket. I just left the cash register so if they are concerned something is not correct, why not pull the cashier's ticket and not make us stop in the middle of traffic and unsecure what we have just so carefully secured safely away.
I find and consider this harassing the customer. Can't Walmart come up with a better arrangement? I have seen customers walk off saying, "My receipt is put away." What will Walmart now do, harass that customer for patronizing them? Can't you come up with something better? We all expect this of Sam's because that has for some reason always been their policy. I think you need to direct your checking toward the cashier's ticket instead of the customers. I am hearing more and more people say they have started shopping at Target's and the Dollar stories. I wonder why. No harassment!

Walmart continues to deplete the character that originally made Sam Walton's philosophy their customer service tradition: "Customers first". It would seem that children ran the company these days. Last night I went into Walmart Conway SC. Because of difficulty in finding a video cam, I saw a manager who was talking to one of the employees about a TV that she had bought, and was not working. He was instructing her in the steps she needed go through to get satisfaction. I waited and waited on him to no avail. I began searching again but still couldn't find it.
Finally, I saw **, the dept manager and two other employees who worked in the dept. I assertively walked up to them and waited. They completely ignored me - all three. I simply asked the manager where the cams were and he replied, “This man will help you (referring to **) and then walked off. ** turned his head away from me and began talking again to **, who appeared to be an assistant to the manager. They both totally ignored me. So I waited on them. They simply walked away from me and I went on my way again trying to find a web cam. I did find it on my own, but by then I was angry that Sam's service had so badly sunk into a company that employed three young men, who could care less if I bought something from Walmart or not; who carelessly appeared to be arrogant enough to ignore a potential sell. In my company, that callous attitude would be grounds for automatic dismissal.
I bought the dang cam but vowing to never go back to Walmart again. Most people would have walked out. I still think I should take it back and state the reason for my returning it. I also spend on the average of around $120 a month on medicine alone (that is with my insurance) and could easily be over $300 to $500 with copay. I am going to move my monthly prescriptions to another national chain drug store. Never did I ever have to wait if I called in my prescriptions in the past. I only left this chain because Walmart was closer to my home. I'll go back to good service and give my $3500 in all I buy to the locals. Walmart can keep their conceit, their arrogance, their greed, and their loathing of their customers.
By the way, they don't seem to have a complaint dept. or a place to vent one's concerns online. I wanted to write corporate headquarters but they have no customer service dept. that has a complaints link. When I entered "Complaint" the only response I could get was, "Did you mean Comply?". Humorous. Perhaps they are so caught up in their own arrogance that they actually think all people everywhere feel privileged to actually shop with them? The joke is on Walmart. I could write a book on all the times they have failed miserably to perform good service but I, like them, no longer care about whether Walmart continues to be viable or not.

Walmart used to be a favorite place to shop till 6/19/2009 at 6:15PM. The manager's name was Tavorris. I asked the vegetable/produce associate person that the paper roll was empty and I was shifting through the cherries of which the bags were wet/leaking. Thus, I was hoping he will just get the paper. Anyhow, while I was waiting outside the area, I peeked inside and yelled for somebody in a friendly tone like hello. The person came and accused me of calling him names and he started calling me names and stuff like "why don't you come inside and we will take it up there". He was either hearing wrong or stressed out. So I asked for the manager and waited another 30 minutes for him to arrive.
I first took him to the two towel dispensers to show him that they were empty and that's why I had asked the person for some and he called me names. Mr. Tavorris went inside and told me that I had to leave and if I had any complaints, then call 1800. I was shocked and asked him how he could believe the young lad and not me? I am 52, this kid was maybe 22. Besides, why would a normal human being just go crazy and call names to people, especially a customer who has no relation to anyone there? I told Mr. Tavorris the same thing. Do realize that I go to Walmart at least twice a week because I live nearby and I know quite of the old timers there. I also run a local business, which is a fairly famous place and even people who work at Walmart come there. I wish I had the produce kid's name.
Anyway, Mr. Tavorris called the cops and out of defiance, I waited for another 30 minutes or so for the police to arrive, only to tell me that I had to leave because Mr. Tavorris was the manager and he had the right to do so. I would have to file a complain at the station. I was tired and I left. Logic, why would I just call people names for no reason? Besides, I thought I was helping them by letting them know. Insult, waste of time, anger, felt reverse discrimination.

I bought a plunger. The only plunger that was even in stock at the store. The plunger was $2.97. I love shopping at Wal-Mart and have always thought that they have fair prices for products. But this is by far the worst $3 I have spent ever. The plunger that I bought is so flimsy that it turns inside out the instant you put it in the toilet. I have bought a better plunger from the Dollar Store before.
I think that Wal-Mart should invest in a better plunger. Well, at least the Springdale Wal-Mart and the Fayetteville Wal-Mart in Arkansas. In Washington Wal-Marts, they have better plungers. I know it seems like something stupid to complain about, but I thought I always got my money's worth from Wal-Mart until now. And it really sucks when you have to go to buy a plunger at 1 a.m. because your toilet won't drain. Next time, I'll buy one for double the price at Walgreens. Thank you for your time.

I waited at the deli counter for 15 minutes for the man to find an opened package of meat I had wanted then I had to wait for him to find the right slicer to use. When I went to check out, the cashier didn't know whom to give cash back on a check. I had my four-year old grandson with me and he was waiting very impatiently and running off before I could finish my transaction.

I frequently visit several different Wal-Marts in our area. This is Texas in the summer, and it is hot! I've noticed the stores getting hotter and hotter, and upon inquiring, I have been told that corporate has told the Wal-Mart stores to stop keeping the stores as cool. At one store, I have witnessed an ambulance outside the store, picking someone up on three different occasions. Could this be heat related? As much money as they bring in every year, I think they can afford to keep the store cool. I'm going to Target.

I am a 53-year old man that shops at this store on an average of two times a week. I am also disable and depend on the riding carts at the stores. The problem is every time I go in your store to shop and use one of those carts, in less than 15 minutes, it runs out of power. Now, your store staff has always been courteous when this happens and that's a good thing. But their comments without them knowing it border on being an oxymoron. They politely tell you when you're getting on the carts, "Oh, this one's green. It should work and if it stops, come get another one." The thing that immediately comes to mind is "how?"
Most of us who use these carts are limited in how far we can walk unassisted. I, myself, use two standard crutches that I leave at the front of the store with the greeter when I shop. This means that when one of these carts run out of power totally, you are stuck somewhere in the store without the ability to contact some store personnel for assistance. What I would like to describe to you is the strategic planning that goes into a routine trip to Walmart.
On one of my trips last week, I wanted to price and buy a 32-inch television. But as I made my way down the far aisle towards electronics, the cart started blinking. I turned around and made it to the floral cooler before it totally died. To me, that was a victory because the week before, I got stuck in the middle of the candle aisle and had to pull myself up front by pulling the shelving until I got a store associate's attention. This was really embarrassing. For a person with a disability, that feeling of helplessness is the worst.
I know that this is a long complaint but I want you to understand what I feel each time I go into their store. I believe that there is a solution. I have told the store employees before who politely agree but have taken no action. Here are my suggestions:
Contact the manufacturer of that cart and see what the life span is for those batteries. I have personal knowledge that they last about one year and then need to be replaced. If they are older than a year, they will not take a complete charge. Also, if the machine goes all the way down, it has been my experience that it must then be charged for at least twelve hours. Again, maybe this is different for their carts.
Lastly, I would like to express that the very last time I was in this store was this past Tuesday night. I shopped for ten minutes and then remembered I wanted to look at TVs. The only word I can use to describe how I felt would be scared--scared that I would not make it, scared that I would be stuck. No one should have to feel like this to shop at Walmart. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I do not need a lawyer. What I want is a reasonable accommodation regarding this matter.

This is a follow up to the complaint I sent on June 14, 2009. Walmart has resolved the situation in a reasonable manner. They actually upgraded the console to a bundled package. I'm a bit confused. Walmart stated they were unable to reach anyone in authority at Sony. According to two different people at Walmart, one a district manager, the only phone number they had for Sony was the 1-800 customer service number. It seems odd, that two large corporations who have a business arrangement, have no way to communicate with each other when they have problems or concerns. I would suggest consumers check the contents of purchases prior to leaving the store. Also, if your item has a serial number, be sure the serial number on the box matches the serial number on the item itself.

My husband will sit up front until one is available or I get through shopping. But what is so upsetting is the people on these carts. People, kids that are quite capable of walking. Adults and kids playing on them. They are taking advantages of this service and hurting seniors that need this service. Door greeters say they cannot say anything to these people because the manager will not do anything about it. I think this policy should change and those carts be available for people that you can see by their appearance that they need these carts. We would appreciate if you could assist in this problem. Thank you.

I had just heard a friend of mine tell me last week why he doesn't shop at Walmart anymore because of the long lines. Well, listen to this, all of you hard working consumers. I had just got off from work and when I arrived home, I realized that I had forgotten to pick up some blank CDs for some music I was recording. So I decided to go to my neighborhood Walmart. There I find the blank CDs that I needed and proceeded to the counter to pay at the department with one customer in front of me, and the clerk tells me that the customer in front of me was his last customer of the night. So I said, “Oh, well,” and proceeded to the front checkout lines only to find only 5 registers open on a Saturday night around 10:00 pm. Each line had a minimum of about 40 people and this is at minimum.
I asked for the manager and asked him what he could do about this situation and he replied, "Nothing, all the other registers that you see off are not working because we are remodeling!” I then asked him was there anyone of higher authority that I could speak with and he said, “Yeah, 1-800-Walmart.” By now I am very unhappy as a consumer and placed my CDs on the candy rack and politely walked out and told the little old lady at the front door, “Excuse me, ma’am, could you please tell someone in higher management that you have lost a customer that will never return.” I then went up the street to CVS and found the same CDs for $5 less and realized that the experience at Walmart was well worth learning that CVS has the same product for a cheaper price. I went home, plugged in the machine, opened the game CD and found the console did not work. 45 minutes after purchase, I returned to the store to exchange it. Yes, I had the receipt. I was told the serial number of the console did not match serial number on the box. Unfortunately, they did not check the console serial number when I paid and I did not know there was a potential for discrepancy. Had I been aware there was potential for a problem, I would have asked the clerk to compare serial numbers prior to purchase. I then attempted to return the game, it is useless without a functioning PS3. The store refused to refund/exchange the game. I would strongly suggest folks purchasing a big ticket item, check the serial number of the actual item against the one on the box and do so in front of the store clerk.
If anyone has experienced a similar problem, please let me know how it was resolved. The manager thinks I should "eat" the loss. The assistant manager has maintained his customer relations skills although the manager lost his cool and became mouthy on the store video. Also note, policies can be broken by stores at any time. I was not aware of this either. I returned to the store with several witnesses and a camera. Friday, I spent well over two hours there. Saturday, I spent considerable time there. I don't understand why they can't run some type of check on both serial numbers. The corporate told my husband to return to the store on Saturday. They said the manager can always approve any exchange or refund. There are a few more details, we took notes. According to 3 different people at Sony, they have received 500 complaints about this same type of problem occurring at Walmart. Perhaps they should apprise consumers?

Then, they said they had an associate that gave them a written statement saying he or she saw me running in the park with my children (completely false by the way). They wanted me to see their doctor but I didn't. Under Pennsylvania law, if your employer does not have their doctor’s information posted in the employee areas, you are free to see your own doctor.
Later, I called the store manager to ask if I can come into work and he said, "No, you cannot come to work until you see our doctors. You refused terms of employment, which gives grounds for termination." Yes, he fired me. I got a worker's comp lawyer to help me with this situation. We called the store back and again they denied that this was told to me. The way that I was treated was very unprofessional and I was showed nothing but disrespect. I will never let this go nor change my story because this is completely 100% true and I will not be bullied into saying something different. I hope someone in the main office sees this and contacts me.
I was fired and mistreated with no evidence to prove this because there are only witnesses who will lie. With 4 children to take care of, one of which is autistic, I will have no choice but to go back on public assistance. I and my family are the only ones that suffer from this experience while those who disregarded company policy have no consequences. So, thank you for the worst work experience. I loved it. I made an attempt to use it again in June when I noticed it had a leak. I took it back, hoping to exchange it. I had my receipt, and the power washer still looked new. But, it just leaked; so i just wanted to swap it out.
I went to customer service on June 8, 2009 at approximately 8:50 am. I approached the associate with whom I was not greeted, which is very unlike any other experience I've had. As my 4-year-old son was using the toilet, and myself and my 6-year-old daughter were waiting for my son to finish up, a black female was screaming out, “If you don’t hurry up in there, I am going to beat your **.” Keep in mind this restroom has only two stalls as my children and I were taking up one of them and two little girls were taking up the other stall. So I had opened the door and said, “Excuse me, ma’am, but who are you talking to?” She said, “I’m ** talking to you, **.” I replied, “I’m sorry, ma’am, but my 4-year-old son is on the toilet and there is nothing I can do, so you are going to have to wait like everyone else.” The black female yelled at me again saying, “You better get his ** off the ** toilet right now cause if I peed on my clothes, I am going to beat your guy’s **, and drag him off the toilet myself.” I then yelled at her and said, “Don’t you tell me that because my son has cystic fibrosis, and he can’t help that he is using the toilet and there isn’t enough stalls, so you have to wait, and you don’t have any right talking to me like that.”
Then two black males entered the women’s restroom and they were calling me all kinds of nasty names like, “**, you need to hurry up and shut the ** up or I’m going to beat your **.” Then a bunch of Walmart employees had entered the restroom and the two black males left the restroom and I screamed for someone to call 911 because I don’t have a cell phone. Then a woman came in and took her two little girls out of the stall next to the one my son were using. As that happened, the employees left the restroom and the manager came in and told me if you don’t calm down and stop yelling, I am going to have to escort you out of my store. Hs name is Laddy **. I said, “I am calm and you need to escort the black female out of this store, not me, because she is threatening me and my 2 children.” As I pointed to her, he slapped my left hand with his right hand, and he said, “I am going to call the police.” I said, “Yes, please call the police and I am going to sue you for hitting me. I know my rights,” I told him. The store manager then said, “Well, it was an accident. I’m sorry I hit you, but if you want the police to come here, you will have to call them yourself!” I said, “Why did you hit me? You are not supposed to do that. All I wanted was for you to call the police, and if you won’t call them, may I use your phone to call them?”
He told one of the employees to let me use his phone. The woman dialed the police station’s number, “non emergency " keep that in mind. I waited for almost two hours for the police and no one came. I called the police 3 times and the last call, they informed me if I wasn’t being attacked right now, then I should just go home and wait for the police because they are too busy right now. Please also keep in mind that all the Walmart employees were just laughing at the situation saying, “Look, there’s a black girl and a Mexican fighting over the toilet.” They were just laughing hysterically as I felt my life and children’s life was in danger and no one had the common courtesy to help citizen arrest these people, or to help me by calling the police. So here I am at home waiting for the police and the deputy had just called me and said he’s too busy right now, maybe he could handle it by tomorrow or the next day. So what am I to do if no one, and I mean no one, is willing to help me?

I bought a 50-pound bag of dog food a week ago. I was feeling my dog bowl up and nosed there was mold in the dog food. Then I looked at the bag, and I noticed that the date on the dog bag was "use by Nov 05." My dog have eaten a lot of the dog food. What should I do?

I'm 13. I know a lot about fish. That's all I do; it's my thing. I went to Walmart to buy a few stuff like chemicals or filter cartridges but today I wanted to buy a few Neons. I looked for support and found a person. He called for someone. No one came. I tried a different person. No one came so I got another different person. He helped; I asked for Neons. He gave me 2 Neons that were dying and one that was not even a Neon, so I took them home and they died when I got inside (I rode my bike with the fish 3 miles from home; they live for months in my tank from our local fish store). Walmart tanks are using one filter so that's always bad for Cichlids (in tropical tanks) goldfish and tropical fish. They had Plecos in very clean tanks and the very dirty tanks were just fish suffering. There were lots of dead fish eaten and dying, not to mention all going through the same filter. Bettas are in these tanks there either dead or trying to kill the other fish. I'm about ready to work there for free and clean the tanks and give the fishes second chances. Please only go to Walmart for fish chemicals or filter stuff, never fish!

I am very unhappy about the aquarium departments of Walmart. Two separate stores always have diseased fish or at times are unkempt. In particular, is the selling of a very special fish called a green spotted puffer. They are far too small as babies and sensitive to sell - it's extremely difficult to keep because they need to be kept by species only. They require a special diet of snails and blood worms. Most of the little babies I have seen suffer terribly in both your stores, barely hanging on most with Ick and other parasites. These are extremely intelligent little fish. I honestly would say these Walmarts might sell 5 out of an entire tank of 20 plus. I rescued one that would have died a horrible slow death. Most associates know nothing about what to tell customers about these fish either. Having all the tanks on one filter system is horrible for all the fish - tap water should never be used either. With the Betta fish, sometimes many are dead or have 1/2 inch of water (polluted) to live in. Please do something. I don't feel the customers should see this kind of abuse.

I bought a GE digital coffeemaker, model 169164, this morning. I brought it home, plugged it up, set the time, washed the pot and started to run plain water through the pot to clean. The coffeemaker came on okay and began to drip water for about 30 seconds, then beeped twice and cut off. I thought maybe I had done something wrong so I started over again. I unplugged it, plugged in again, put in more water, mashed the button to begin and it did exactly the same thing. So I guess tomorrow, I'll return to Walmart with my receipt and let them have this defective coffeemaker to do with as they choose. Hopefully they won't put it back on the shelf for someone else to have to go through this nonsense. I wish I had read all these remarks/reviews before purchasing this THING and I put that in caps because it's certainly not a coffeemaker!

For all you people complaining about video games, if it has been opened, no one (not just Walmart) will refund your money. The most they will do is exchange it for the same item. Also, it is not just Walmart that gives people a hard time when returning things. I have never (knock on wood) had a hard time returning anything at Walmart because I use common sense when buying and returning things. Never, and I mean never, buy any expensive electronics at Walmart. Go to Best Buy or any other electronics store and always save your receipt. You never know when you might need it. Just pick a drawer at your house and stockpile them.

I ordered a PN-40 three days ago. I paid for one day shipping. I got the GPS two days later only to find out that the GPS which I bought was not new. It was previously used. The PN-40 was not functional, scratched up and re-packaged and sold as new... very illegal. I contacted Walmart which was extremely difficult as there was no phone number anywhere to be found! I had to find a phone by googling Walmart customer service number. I went 15 rounds with them. Strangely enough, the customer support person knew exactly what had happened to me, the first red flag. It seems that it happens very often to a lot of people. They made it possible to send it back by sending me a prepaid mail label back to Walmart (nice). They refunded the one day shipping charge, reordered another GPS to me but sent it ground!
And here is the biggest reason why I will never order from Walmart.com. Walmart.com is only a portal. The product and items you purchase from them is not owned by Walmart which is the name and company that I have relied on buying from, but from a third party fulfillment, God knows who. Because of this disconnect, Walmart.com cannot assure me that the next GPS they will send me will not be used or previously open. Oh, one other bit of info, the warehouse people who shipped this used GPS forgot to remove the sales order from the first person who purchased the GPS I got today. Buyer beware.

I went in and got some fishes and some fish stuff and I had no cash on me to pay for it, so I gave the cashier my credit card and my ID and they refused. I mean like it was a valid credit card and a valid ID and they wouldn't take it and they refuse to sell it to me. I think Walmart has taken advantages on certain things. I think that they should have let me use my credit card. I see no reason not to.

I placed an order only for personalized ring from Walmart.com on April 30, 2009. They gave me between May 4th and May 17th of 2009 to receive the order mailed to my house. I have been waiting for about 3 weeks with or without the weekends included and it always say that my order is being processed. It is taking entirely too long for 1 item, and for future references, I will not order things online with Walmart.
