I ordered online for in store pick up for the first time. The Target advertisement is "fast, easy". Well, after taking a while to be acknowledged, along with others waiting for pick up, I waited 30 minutes to get my item!! The worker had to go in a distant part of the store to receive the items. These items should be in that back room, by their desk, waiting for customers to pick "fast, easy".!! While waiting staff had no smiles or full understanding of handling customers. This is really poor service. Improved speed, location of purchases, and worker training greatly needed here!!

I purchased a Nintendo Switch through Target, and the experience has been nothing short of frustrating. The package was left in an unsecure, highly visible spot at the edge of the sidewalk instead of a safe location near my front door. Unsurprisingly, it was stolen. Despite reporting the issue immediately, Target has been unhelpful. I was bounced back and forth between Target and my credit card company with no resolution. This was clearly a result of poor delivery judgment, and yet Target refuses to take responsibility. As a long-time customer, I expected better. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I won’t be making any major purchases through Target again.

Do not order anything from Target online! I placed an order on December 22, 2025, I was sent tracking information and a date of delivery. Today is the date of delivery and now Target is telling me they don’t know where my items are or when they will be delivered. I asked for a refund and they refused. I spent 431.00 on the items and 35.00 each for two protection plans. I want my money or the items. They said I can’t go get it from the store. I can’t get a refund and they don’t know where my items are!!!

Ordered an item for my dad for Christmas. They delivered it to the wrong place and I don’t even know where it is. Now I can’t even get a refund or have it redelivered. Customer Service lady was sweet. But the fact that I have to have a case number for a misdelivered package that is on the is insane.

Terrible customer service I received today by calling the 1800 number. The associate was very kind and nice. I called and waited the first time about 15 mins to be connected, I explained that I ordered an item that was supposed to be delivered on December 20th. Today is the 22nd and no sign of the item. I go to check my app and delivery has now been changed to Jan 2. I am upset as this is a Christmas gift. The first rep is trying to help me out, but when he realizes he cannot, he decides to transfer me to their heads department. I get disconnected. I am very upset now, but call back and nicely explain to the next rep (also very nice) everything about the item and also what happened in the first call.
She had already read all the notes and knew I was telling her the truth. So now, after I waited another 15 mins to be connected to a rep, she tells me only someone from the head department can help with this situation. Places me on hold, I wait another 10 mins and finally get connected. This terrible person picks up the call named Heber. He is not nice at all and telling basically that I am out of luck and he will not do anything about it and the only thing I can do is to wait till Jan 2. I asked him a bunch of times if he was sure that he was not going to help me and over and over he was saying “No I can’t help”. I will make sure to contact the headquarters department tomorrow morning about this!

I had ordered several presents to be mailed directly to people in December 2024. Part of the package was delivered and things happened. I did not go back to review if the remaining gift was received or not. Due to several different circumstances that happened, I did not become aware of the lost item until October 2025. My fault for not checking back. However, when I used the chat feature with customer service, I was told that they would be refunding the money back to my Target card. I went on today, 12/22/2025 and the credit never applied. When I called customer service, I was told it was too far past the return date and I was out of luck. No willingness to help at all. I understand that they may not be able to credit the money back, but the attitude from the representative was horrible. I am so sorry that we had several major things happen in our lives and I failed to notice a missing present. I will no longer be ordering from Target.

I placed an order today to groceries at Target for pickup. The order is not seen on my app. Target took the money and when I call customer service the hold time to speak to someone is 62 mins. I finally get a person and she says, "Well there is an issue with orders not going through." I told her my money was deducted from my bank. She said wait to see if it gets refunded. She said there is nothing she can do to help me. Target is becoming so horrible. They just expect people to be ok with 212.45 just being taken. And they have absolutely the worst customer service. Target use to be so professional and a great place to shop. I will have to go to Walmart for now on. Shame on Target.

Ordered an iPad online for delivery from Target. Received an empty box that was retapped and a charge on my target card for the cost of the iPad. So far customer service has not replaced the product or credit my account. Supposedly they did an “investigation” but will not shared their findings. Still trying to resolve but have very little confidence target will resolve. Will need to engage an attorney and/or go to small claims court. Imagine Amazon, Walmart etc., delivering an empty box and not rectifying the issue. Now I know why target is a declining business.

Yes this Target is a Beautiful store. A great place to shop but only in the store. It’s definitely not a store to order products and have delivered. You can read the other negative reviews. I had the option of picking up this television within two hours and it was only 2 miles away. After reading the reviews how they come damaged I called a couple of hours later if I could pick the television up. Hannah at Target customer service said, "No. Your order it’s still in process and pending. There is no assigned driver but once you paid, we cannot cancel it. Feel free to return it if you want." Four days later, a message from FedEx that they’re looking to get me a replacement and a new delivery date. Another 24 hours no delivery date set. In my opinion definitely do not order from Target for the Holidays unless you want to take this kind of risk.

I had an issue with an item that I ordered at Target.com. I was sent the wrong item but it was labeled as the right item. After 2 days, 2 stores and several incomprehensible calls to Target.com, it was finally solved by a sweet woman at the second store. After all this I was sent an email to rate my experience. I definitely did not give glowing reviews. The experience was abysmal. The next morning I got a grotesque email (attached) from a target team member's personal email. She had gotten my info from the survey. It was a complete violation. I sent all this to Target but it doesn't seem like it's an issue.

Target means such a big chain of stores shocks me when they resell returned items that are broken. Beware when you shop here. You could be purchasing a large expensive item that’s already been returned and broken and target knows, but they’d rather just push it off onto the next instead of taking the lost themselves. Never shopping here again.

I called to CLOSE my Target Red Card account and received an email saying that "an authorized user had been removed from my account." That's weird because I was the ONLY person on the account. Two customer service reps continued the lie by saying, "I see that your account is closed." If that's the case, why can't you email me that it has been closed? It took two more phone calls and finally reaching a supervisor who admitted that my account had not been CLOSED. I asked the supervisor to repeat what she said to be sure that I heard her correctly. She confirmed that my account had not been CLOSED but that she would close it right now. This was a deliberate tactic of the two customer service representatives to keep my account OPEN. Is this Target's new plan to rebuild its business? BEWARE! If you want to close your Red Card account, insist on speaking with a supervisor.

This seems about right…. 1.7 stars. Obviously they are so big that they no longer care about taking care of their customers when an issue arises. I tried addressing my issue today with an employee and was quickly shut down as she cited company policy without listening to anything else I had to say. When I called to talk to a manager, I received the exact same treatment and was told I could find the number for customer service on the website before he hung up on me. In no world should a customer who shops weekly at ANY business and has spent thousands of dollars with, be shut down and treated with such little regard. Empty apologies & citing company policy is NOT customer service.

Whatever you do, NEVER trust this disgraceful store. They are nothing but money-hungry. They have people standing in line for Black Friday for a bag that they were never going to get. Doors open at 6 am, and they out here giving people gift bags at 3 am instead of making them wait in the cold until 6 like everyone else. The whole thing was a ploy to get people to waste their time to stand in a line in hopes of getting a bag that was already gone missing out on other deals. The staff was rude and inconsiderate.
I turned around and left because I refuse to give con artists my money. I am honestly not even sure if I want to give this corporation any of my finances going forward after this, and if so, it damn sure won’t be this ** store with rude management and employees. Call me a Karen if you would like, I don’t care. SMH and I thought this was a good company. Back to Walmart for this girl. Target is shameful. SMH false hopes from a greedy company, once more damn shame.

Some unauthorized charges were made on my card sometime in May/June. I have complained to the fraud department. They promised to resolve the case after I had to fill their paperwork. They said it will take 90 days to refund the money. Now it is November and they ask me to call every week and each time they say that the case is not resolved. It is very annoying and time consuming. No one has an answer as to why it is taking so long to resolve the case. I have stopped shopping at Target.

I'd like to tell you about my most recent visit to a Target store. This was in Glen Allen, VA, across from what was once Virginia Center Commons Mall but for all I know is representative of ALL Targets. I walked in and there were no cashiers, only self checkout available. Major red flag. I kept going, because I was looking for something specific and I'd already checked Wal Mart. Not having any cashiers to ring me up was something I could worry about if I found what I was looking for. Place your bets at this point whether I did or not.
I wandered about a bit, looking for the specific section the device I was looking for -a vacuum sealer- was likely to be in. On my way, I passed the music and movies section. Since movies and electronics are the only thing of personal interest to me (with a single exception) in the entire store, I stopped to look. There were a few vinyl records. NO cd's. NO movies. Only books. I love books, but not THOSE books, and not when I'm looking for movies. Strike 2.
I finally found the section I was looking for(and it wasn't easy) but not the item. To be fair, a lot of stores carry items on their websites but not in stores these days and it was just as well because by that point I wasn't thrilled with Target anyway. But if I'd wanted to shop online I would have stayed home, not driven half an hour up the road. So strike 3.
On my way out, I stopped to see if I could find the one item I DO occasionally come into Target to buy, or at least I once did, because I could only ever find it at Target: Icebreakers duo in grape. This really isn't Target's fault, because I just now discovered that those aren't MADE any more. No one has them. Target couldn't have them in stock even if it wanted to. But this little detail did not mitigate my disappointment while ensuring that I found absolutely NOTHING I came in looking for or interested in. There was a huge lego tuxedo cat I found, which was cool... and I'll give Target that. If you have a mountain of money there are a few cool things to buy that you know you don't need... but it was way out of my price range as a non-essential item.
I ended up ordering said vacuum sealer from Wal Mart's website. It wasn't really any cheaper than it would have been on Target's website... but the important thing was that it didn't come from Target, if you get my meaning. I suppose I don't blame Target per se... The world is changing and all that. But they have nothing I want and no one to ring me up and I really don't want any of my money supporting that state. And, frankly, I haven't forgotten about the bathing suits for "trans kids," either, and I was none too happy about that even though that happened a while ago now, which is precisely WHY it was Target I checked last. Obviously I left without making a purchase. Take this as you will.

My husband and I ordered a Nintendo Switch for our son for Christmas. The total was $514.00. It was supposed to be delivered on October 31st. Instead, we received someone else's package. It has a totally different name and address on it and weighs less than half a pound. I called Target to get a refund or get a new switch mailed to us and they told us there was nothing they could do because it says "delivered." So now, we're just supposed to be "out" over $500. We are extremely upset about this. We have been Target customers for over 30 years, have a Target credit card that we use all the time and have never had any issues.
We are absolutely floored that after talking with multiple "supervisors" that we cannot get any help or a refund. We still have the other package, as well as a driveway video of the delivery driver dropping off one package that day, and it's not our package! Never going to Target again. Very, very disappointed that they would not help us, when this is clearly not our fault and we have overwhelming evidence!

This is the third time this has happened at this location, and I believe the store employees are racist at this store, as neither me not my son did anything wrong. I generally like Target. The stores are clean, bright, and well organized. The employees friendly and knowledgeable. What I have a problem with is the "Circle" loyalty program. It is not user friendly. You have to read the fine print to be sure the items you buy, are included in the deals or rewards. Also check your receipt to be sure you get all the discounts. Some of the sale items run out quickly.

Target has completely gone down the tube, they have a constant promotion that if you spend a certain amount you will earn target 360 for free for a year. So what they did was while making a purchase offer me a free 14-day trial of Target 360 that they then turned around and sent me an email stating I earned with that purchase a free year of Target 360 but it had to be claimed by a certain date they would not allow me to cancel my 14-day mind you to activate a full year that I earned and deserved! This is bad business to after the day passes I had to claim the free year by they then tell me because I did not I cannot. Does that make any sense? So definitely be careful if you're trying to honestly earn through their rewards program as it has become evident they'll do anything they can to get you to spend your money, screw you out of what you earned to tell you you have to spend even more money and start all over. As a result I close my membership

My complaint is with the problems that I had with Target online, that caused me to not to be able to access anything for Target online! Ever since they opened the Circle, I never got any emails, bills, or any notices! I had to call to make payments, which wasn't a problem, but even going to the store, if I didn't have Target on my phone, they couldn't take my payment. So my account got behind, and not being able to access Target online, I couldn't fix it. I finally got a lady on the line that said she fixed everything. I, thinking it was all good, go to the store and find out AT THE STORE, THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED!!! No notice, but I got a bill in the mail, with nothing about the account being closed. It is horrible that you closed my account for missed payments caused by your account that caused the only 2 missed payments. I will never shop with you all again. I ordered 2 chairs from Target online for $140 each $298 total purchase. I paid $75 with a gift card and the rest on my debit card. After a dew days I check on the status of the order and it said they shipped one chair and the other was canceled. I contact customer service twice and they confirmed one chair was shipped and the other was cancelled because there was an issue with their inventory showing in stock. They never notified me of the cancellation otherwise I would have canceled the entire order, I'm looking for matching chairs, I don’t why it's so hard. I see the new receipt and it says they have now charge my debit card for one full chair $149 and kept my $75 gift card. Their solution was to find a me a similar item (mismatched chairs) or for me to refuse delivery or take the arm chair to a target store to get my money back.
Now I have to wait on the holds to be released from my bank account so I can have access to my funds, wait on the chairs to be delivered so I can refuse delivery, start the whole shopping deal again and be without chairs when I needed them for an event. Of course nothing was offered for the inconvenience so I ask what could they do for me as an upset customer, Luis and Erick senior escalation specialist in guest services said there is nothing else they can do but a $10 gift and that they typically don’t even offer that because to them they resolved the issues. And Erik also advised me to call FedEx to refuse delivery, so I did, and I can’t refuse the item because it doesn’t require a signature so I must call the sender and see if they could do anything about or I have to wait around and catch them when they deliver it. If you don’t want the hassle pick a different online store.
