I utilize it so often I can't say that I don't find it helpful. My biggest thing is obvious inaccuracies, like how my name ha(d)/(s) photos of someone much older than I am. And my husband's info is nothing more recent than 10 years ago, the house we purchased together, email addresses, and phone numbers. We've been married that long and his girlfriend from high school is listed everywhere (yes, that bugs the crap out of me).

I did a search for myself to see what was contained in my online information. Instant Checkmate was one of the links that came up from a Google search. I pursued it, and some information appeared to be accurate, but then it stated that there was a hit on a criminal conviction. I haven't even had a speeding ticket for over 20 years. It takes forever and I never did get verification of my record.

Checkmate took over my phone. All I did was enter my name on a Checkmate.com page that popped up on my screen. I had recently received a trail week from PeopleFinders and cancelled the day before Checkmates came after me. Now I hear notifications and it's THEM making me complete pages that will take me to point of payment which I don't want. I've tried going back. All I did was search my name and now they took over my phone. I can't turn off its notifications and I can't unsubscribe! They suggest that there are bad records about me but there can't be. This morning I awake to "Stea **. Been arrested recently?" WHAT ON EARTH? HOW DO I GET THESE PEOPLE TO LEAVE ME ALONE?

I was checking out someone who has since been arrested. In that case your records indicated a problematic past. I am not adept at using internet to check on someone before. Your site was easy to use. A friend recommended I use your site for my personal use. Thank you.

I have been trying to opt-out of this database for weeks now. I have called them 4 times, used the Opt-Out page 7 times (I am yet to receive an email, and it has not gone to spam or junk), and 4 emails to Support@instantcheckmate.com have gone unanswered.

Found info to be very relevant, accurate and informative. I do wish it were a bit more in depth in some areas. But that's what I get paid for! He he. Wish it could provide pictures when available for accurate I.D. of those I am researching.

Naomi from Customer Service. I appreciated the help she gave me because I could not log into my account. She was very friendly and took the time to tell me what to do and to give me another password. Also when I checked into my name I saw a lot of wrong information. I was able to click on the flag and the box that came up explained if you are the person I love that! Also asking about how I rated my experience that is a wonderful idea and yes I would recommend it to a friend. Tell me who wouldn't. Keep this going and never change!

I am using my findings to fill in gaps in my ancestry research. People who have passed are available on Ancestry and other data bases. Living people are harder to come by. Your site is giving me about 80%-90% of what I need. It is working well for me.

For what we pay to subscribe to this service, we expect A LOT MORE UP-TO-DATE ACCURACY THAN THIS! It is ridiculous that it still shows him 2,000+ miles away from his true location. Why have your services if we can expect nothing more than this!?

I been on this site many times. Always found myself. I paid one time then cancelled subscription. Came back just to check on my "stats" and I do not show up at all. Some lady that is 50 does {I am only 29}. Then when I put in my age it came up with 2 30 year olds with different middle initial and one was from NY. I lived in NJ for 22 years and most of the rest of my years in pa! So what’s going on? I am on SSI, I went to college, have signed up for many things on many sites, have Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites including my own blog. Plus was arrested once. Had 8 days in jail and community service a misdemeanor! I obviously am on several different types of public, private exact places... So not finding me now makes no sense. I like because I cancelled my subscription. After a few days they deleted me. Just erased me from their site! Also could not find my mother or father either!

I’m trying long time to remove my name from that site but they don’t give me that option. They are violating my privacy by publishing some bunch of lies regarding my background. They are located in San Diego, CA.

Sometimes other programs pass me over to Checkmate and there's no way to log in when it goes through what seems like hours of searching. It would be nice if when it got to the screen to pay for the item, you'd also have an option to log in if you have an account. I've also noticed the information is not that accurate. I searched on someone I knew and it was saying they were born with their married name vs maiden name. One would think with all the information out there that Checkmate could pull up accurate info about who a person married and what HS they attended, etc.

Received a refund from this business so case is resolved. While I remain unimpressed with their data, I appreciated their willingness to resolve the issue.

After doing a checkmate on three individuals I found the information provided was incomplete and omitted know court judgments. Even when indicating a criminal or court record no information on the record is provided without paying another $19.99 which is not identified as additional cost when you first join. Don't waste your money on this website!

Good so far. Worth the price. Pictures are not actual. I found my cousin on here. Interesting facts about others. My picture was not right but facts were, I enjoy looking other people up. I look forward to looking more people up.

This is a good site. I like it so far. I just hope when I go to cancel it it is just as easy as registering and using it. It is kind of amazing how much information there is and that it is so accurate. I would recommend to a friend. I should have checked it out sooner.

Undoubtedly the most dishonest, unhelpful, worthless support I've ever experienced. I was repeatedly lied to (the card will be charged tomorrow, the card will be charged in 8 days, the information is correct, the information is incorrect, the supervisor said they will definitely take care of this, I'll talk to the supervisor... the lies go on and on). Just letting you know Gail and Nadine and both of their supervisors are either the laziest, dishonest, nefarious people I've ever talked to on the phone or the company itself is or both. In case you can't tell I don't like to be being lied to and to have something as simple as update billing information become such a major ordeal. I'm glad you want to be told about my experience with Instant Checkmate, I probably wouldn't have bothered otherwise.

Everything was very straightforward. After I spoke to lady at Checkmate her calmness relaxed my hysterics. Not good on computer and shadow wouldn't go away. It was really a terrific way to find out things and I would like to have a way to let you know when I have information as to where they are now. One was a tenant. His girlfriend was nowhere. Great Service and very big help to make sure you're doing business with ethical and honest professionals. We were also able to Check our OWN records and remove some large inaccuracies. I have been also able to locate former Army and Work associates with whom I have lost touch.

I searched for my junior high school math teacher whom I was curious about, and found all the contact information I wanted. For this search and for Instant Checkmate in general, I rate the service highly for accuracy, and completeness of data including location, phone, email, social media and date of birth, as well as some history of work and such.

Incorrect home addresses, emails, phone numbers, employment and education. Due to hacking and ID theft, information on this site, and others like it, will not be updated for accuracy. My advice to others looking for TRUE info is to go directly to the source (ex: state websites for court records). Sites such as this are clearly misidentifying people.

This site has been able to provide very important part of puzzle to put together my cases. In most part subject's connections, criminal history, financial history tells much more about the person.

Although I'd like more accurate phone contact numbers, criminal backgrounds and obituary info, I have found that you provide OUTSTANDING personal service whenever I have a question or trouble logging on. Your phone staffers are the best... I have called (3) or (4) times and I wish I'd have noted their specific names... But it doesn't matter... They ALL are patient, helpful, honest and understanding (no matter how computer illiterate I am). They seem to give it a sincere personal touch without following some script etc. Specifically, the night-crew has been great... (and I'm NOT the easiest guy to talk to on the phone). BTW: Where can I find the "Color-Code" info?

They are asking $34.95, but no pricing is given upfront, before you waste 20 minutes while they ask a lot of questions and are constantly "loading" information (which they will give you NONE of unless you pay $34.95). Some fake reviews online, most say it's not good info they provide, and anyway it's super SLOW.

Thank you! This is a great system and I love the slick, well laid out user interface. Easy to use, comprehensive data results. Only wish that the premium data was based on monthly flat rate fee vs per case. Has social media links that other websites do not have. Also seems to have more data up front after the initial search to help you identify the correct person to click on for a details report.

Renewing my membership for 6 mos at $59. I had an expired card when it came time to renew my subscription. I gave a new credit card expiration date and was told it would renew the following Monday. I have talked with several customer service people and no one has been able to program a renewal since about March 2017. Needless to say I am horribly disappointed and also disappointed with the new fee structure. The service itself is excellent. Easy to navigate. Great information.

Information inaccurate. Has people related that are not related. They say they pull from public records. Public does not mean legitimate records. There are no birth or marriage records with matching date of birth or details that could link these people to me.

I pay for the product already although every single time I log in I get harassed to upgrade. Take this whatever it is and select yes and no on constant popups. The only reason I still use it is because I'm too lazy to find something else and cannot figure out how to remove my credit card information and keep getting charged too. Might as well use it until I finally lose my mind. Hopefully you get the point.

Someone made four fraudulent charges to my credit card for payments to Instant Checkmate. I suspect the charges were made by an employee that got my number at a seafood restaurant in Aberdeen WA. Instant Checkmate should verify that the person charging online is the owner of the credit card before accepting payment.

The service used to be great. I would be able to go on and look up things the way I wanted to. Now, even though I have asked at least 20 times for the pop-ups to stop, I have every search interrupted with careless and callous pop-ups that are a complete waste of time. I used to refer people out to the service and I know some have purchased subscriptions. I have stopped referring people to Instant Checkmate because I don't want them to associate me with such an annoying experience. The information is good as long as you're willing to put up with the BS surrounding their incessant pop-up screens.

I googled my own name and it led me to this site. Upon reading some of the entries there was 2 with only 40% correct information. This site listed me as being dead not once but twice with 2 very different backgrounds. Some of the information was fact. But I am very much alive and was shocked to learn they had me listed as being dead for the past 28 years.

Poorly working location map, not user friendly. Attempted to move the map to better see one of multiple locations found and the map quit working. I used my cursor to move the map and then hit the '+' button to make it larger and it quit working.

Was on the 20 a month plan, then they were charging me over 80 a month without any notice until I started to review my credit card statements. This company should not be in business. When I cancelled the service, they asked me if I would stay if they only charged me 10 a month... What a joke.

I requested to find an individual. That person was dead. They kept sending me messages saying that person was in my town, which was a lie. He had never been to my town and being dead, would never be to my town.

I purchased a two premium searches. The first one I purchased had the right information on it, however, the information or data on the report I purchased was replaced by a different/wrong one. The name was still right but the information is wrong. I would like to know if I can get my money back or be given the right information that I had purchased to begin with.

I couldn't believe how thorough this company was. After obtaining a background check on a client's wife of mine. We were able to obtain arrest information that we were unaware of. Which won our case in court. Best money well spent. Hands down the best website ever. I honestly would recommend anybody who's wanting to obtain a complete criminal background on anybody.

Old information; not updated, and some flat wrong. Reverse phone search is wrong and old. Search links people who are merely associated by address or a neighbor, but that makes it appear as through linked or related people. Quality control is horrific.

When checking background and others background's that I'm very close with I was not impressed. Information given was very vague, conditional, and far from the present time. Why would other want to find out what they have witnessed up front scene. When it's behind the scene, hide facts, and proof of these acts is what others are after.

Two of us searched for our high school classmates from 50 years ago. Instant Checkmate was a life saver in helping us to find them. We learned that people changed their emails much faster than their home addresses. While we had both, the emails needed updating but in making sure people received our invitations, we did our second mailing via snail mail. We suggest you do the same. Thank you Instant Checkmate.

First and foremost that damn drop in that asks you if you want an upgrade is driving me crazy. Please is there a setting to keep it from dropping in and can't believe if information is true! When you look a phone number up the person name comes up correctly. When you click on background check the next screen has many people the same name. Why you just showed me the correct person. I want that person's background check.

I did not find this service helpful. Was looking for updated address information on a couple of folks and IC had only the addresses from 2 years ago, not current or even last year's address. I also was charged automatically for 3 months of the service after telling them I didn't want it. They were good about refunding the charges when I called to complain.

I was looking for a friend that I had not been in contact with for a long time. The site was easy to navigate. The phone numbers didn't work, but an address listed was correct and I was able to get in touch with him. The cost was reasonable.

I think checkmate was one of the best sites I've ever had experienced. It was perfect, not too slow, was pretty fast. I would recommend it to anybody. I don't think you should change anything except for maybe a little slow but other than that though it's excellent but my phone is price so that's what it is. So you're perfect don't change a thing. The above is a nephew of mine and I was trying to learn more about him. No one in the family has heard from him in years. I was hoping I could learn if he was still alive. Also hoped I could get touch with him and let him know that he is loved.

As far as I can tell from the reports I have requested the info is detailed and accurate. The site is user friendly and easy to navigate. I have recommended my girlfriends to use this type of service. The only other information I would like to see is if it shows the marital status in real time.

I can't ever get any information. It always wants me to pay and y'all are taking money off my card every month. Y'all want people’s money but won't give me what I want. I am not the same Jay ** you are trying to report on that is in NC. My grandfather come from NC in 1900 and the family of those people settled in FL. I'm sure there is still family in NC, but I would be only distantly related. Please don't confuse me with those people.

I'm finding the reports are becoming less accurate. Example: Kelly ** of Verona, Pa. has been deceased since 2003. I reported this to you THREE times over the past month and it still shows her living in Verona. I was her father and she was killed in a motor vehicle crash in Pittsburgh, Pa. on 3-9-2003. Also, I don't like the new report format and I'm on occasions unable to gain access to your database as well as your "sister" company BeenVerified. Shopping for a new company.

Instant Checkmate has been helpful in obtaining information on individuals. Obviously I would like there to be more complete information, but realize it is often difficult to collect data. I am annoyed by the constant pop ups offering further services for additional cost.

The website sucks. It keeps trying to make me pay again. And, no one I am looking for is ever found. I have wasted enough money on this site. On top of that, it seems very slow. There should be a way to choose if you want to skip parts of the profile.

The "I'm Not A Robot, reCAPTCHA" process is a terrible tool to sign in with. It is very frustrating and does not seem to work half the time. I hope the company does away with it. The service is great.

I use the service to search for people and then to use the contact info to communicate with them. I do not like the recent change of putting the timeline info up front. It duplicates the info that is available later in the report and takes up too much space. Very often I find the contact info (phone numbers & addresses) to be out of date, no longer in service, etc. I don't use the other info that is available and would like to see a plan that offers a lower price for just phone number and address.

Wonderful service that provides accurate and detailed information on searched names. Some of the features I particularly liked over other common and popular websites similar are that a birthday is included in the information. Additionally, the criminal record section is very thorough and complete.

Satisfied that I found quite a few people from my past and have gotten in touch with them. Not satisfied when I find a friend and it says they passed away and then I find out that they are still alive. Updates are needed because I know of a few who have passed away and it is still not noted. Some I can't find at all. Nevertheless, I do enjoy the site.

This site helps me find family relationships for living individuals - very helpful for find maiden names. So that females - can count too. I have found that there is no better way to help with the most difficult part of genealogy. Also having previous locations mentioned, helps find family history a little easier.

Checkmate was fast, accurate, and discreet. Both friends from 50 years in the past have been found and we were reunited. I love the way Checkmate protects the information of each person involved. Login's have become a real pain in the ** ever since you added the "Captcha" feature. Login's now require repeated attempts. NOT happy with the extra time & effort just to log into a long time account. I've had this account for a long time and am considering terminating it for this reason.

Great info. Individuals would be surprised to find out the info on this site about others. The monthly cost was a little high for me to continue & didn’t like the way you had to pay for "extras" that weren't included in the monthly fee. If you hire or rent/lease this site is a showtime deal. If you're dating it's a must.

I have a deal with you, a contract, for a set amount of $$$$. I get for the most part unlimited searches. I downloaded a search when I came back it was gone. I paid for it, you had no right to remove it.

I use Instant Checkmate regularly to confirm who I am talking to. I get many phone calls from salespeople and Instant Checkmate allows to me confirm who they are. I can confirm that I am not dealing with a spammer and that the person is properly representing themselves.

While using a "trial membership" with ICM I clicked on a banner that popped up on my computer screen. This immediately charged me $19.95 on my PayPal account without letting first log into PayPal to confirm the charge. I contacted PayPal and ICM to have the charge reversed. PayPal could not refund the charge until ICM approved it. It took MONTHS to get the refund because nobody at ICM would discuss the issue until they completed a thorough "review". I should not have been charged instantly in the first place. Now I cannot even re-establish my account to use the service again.

Most of the information I solicit is accurate. My main concern is that I'm not advised prior to my credit card being charged for an automatic payment. You should advise your customer of pending automatic payments. Otherwise, I like being able to find information on shipmates who served in the U.S. Navy in the Submarine Force.

Very pleased with the info provided. It makes it much easier to make the proper informed decisions. Will continue to use. It helps with keeping our office safe. It's nice not having to just take the word of the individual. There's actually fact on paper.

Loved the service. Quick and easy way to get useful info on doctors, long lost relatives, etc. Problem ALWAYS was access. EVERY time I'd try to log in, my name and/or password were rejected. I'd have to call Customer Service, and we'd walk through all the steps to give me access AT THAT TIME. That did NOT mean I could log on anew later. After awhile I just got fed up. You MUST make name/password acceptance foolproof. Try the log ins as a customer and see what you get. You make think it's even 90% working, but I clearly was in the other 10%. Good experiences overall. I don't like the I'm not a robot feature as I have to do it multiple times even when it's done correctly. I have found most info I've searched for. Love the phone look up! Wish there were more in the criminal checks.

The majority of information is incorrect on the people I looked up. So much missing on the "Criminal" background. I was charged 2-4 times a month and even though I was refunded... it was very annoying!!! If anybody uses this website watch your band account for the $4.99 charges they get ya for!!!

I have been on other sites but this one has been more accurate on providing great results in the past. I was able to get criminal records, previous addresses not disclosed, found relatives who lost contact with. Love this site. When I purchased a premium record and nothing there they agreed without discussion and verification checked... they refunded my 19.00 extra. I would recommend this site to others in need. I would suggest better yearly pricing. Three month, monthly, yearly too.

A Great Search Tool. I use Instant Checkmate to supplement my Ancestry.com tool. If I get stuck trying to find someone, I use Instant Checkmate to get moving forward again. I do wish it provided the ability to delete reports and searches instead of archive.

I have been able to obtain most of the information I have sought. However, I recently had to restore my computer to its factory settings and have not been able to sign into Instant Checkmate since. This is a source of constant frustration to me.

The reports are great. That's great. However the billing system is downright dishonest. They sell you a package and Bill you then they change the package and Bill you twice both the old amount in the new amount. When you protest they say they can't find your account so they don't give you the money back. Be sure to buy through PayPal. That'd be the best way to protect yourself. If you must get these reports possibly there's a better service.

The last time I tried to pull info on someone you guys changed the way you bill. Seemed like a rip off to me so I'm going to find another company that bills by individual reports instead of your new way. Let me know if you change your way? A lot of base hits is better than a few home runs!

When I first started with Instant Checkmate the search results were there. If you wanted more you paid for a premium report. Now with you get the report, you have to pay almost 20.00 for information you had previously gotten for the price of your monthly fee. I really feel I'm being ripped off and will be canceling my monthly subscription. Shame on you for getting people in then changing things up. Almost like a "bait and switch".

The service gives you just enough info to stir your interest and continually asks if you were satisfied with the information given as well as for more money if you'd like further info. Very much a bait and switch type salesmanship. Not overly impressed nor totally displeased.

I would like a little more information on the reports. I use it quite a bit to kinda pre-screen guys my 21yo will be meeting, and it gives some... but the last guy, I KNEW had been arrested for kidnapping, illegal home entry, and 2 other charges; but those weren't even on your report... let alone if he had committed PRIOR FELONIES!

A ripoff, you pay one price and they tell you what info you get. Then once you get the info nothing really is Available until you upgrade which means paying more. I feel it is just a way of getting people's money and giving information that really is not enough.

I really like this tool as a teacher. Since I teach at the College level, my adult students sometimes act very strange. This way I can look them up on Checkmate and determine if they have a criminal record. In Kansas we now allow concealed guns on campus. Two times using this alerted me to a dangerous situation.

Not worth buying! Couldn't bring up my own name or past names. Not worth buying! I canceled this service and was told just because the service didn't recognize my current or past name that I still owed for the service.

It's a good resource for finding out basic info about people quickly. I don't like the annoying pop ups asking me if I either "Love It" or "Don't Like It". Sometimes I get 2 pop ups for every search. Thanks.

There are too many pop up messages while trying to work in Instant Checkmate. For some reason, the first search I tried to do was capture received as his name but agents can't get it changed. Other than these, I have been happy with Instant Checkmate.

Seems to be a lot missed and most of it is criminal activity. On reports I've done there has been critical information missed and it has made it extremely difficult to accomplish my goals that I use this app for. I'm sure that most customers have nothing to compare your data to and have no idea.

It is very hard to cancel your membership, I'm still trying. No one to email, just an 800 number, no customer service. When you are dissatisfied, you just want to sever our ties with this corporation.

In the past I have found your service very useful. But for these 2 people, that is my searches in the last 5 months, I have found it to be a frustration only; as you have a glitch in your save program that throws away everything that has been done up to that point the minute I hit save. :(

Your services for finding people are the best. I've had the privilege to use and priced the most competitive for what you get I believe. I do wish there was a lookup by address but otherwise, it has everything I need!

I like my experience with Instant Checkmate. It's very easy to use. I have very good results each time. The site provides useful information for the searches I have conducted. You can easily maneuver through each section of the reports. I am well pleased with the service.

There are some benefits but many issues around inaccurate information and the most frustrating constant sales badgering in hopes of getting more money. The only real value surrounds looking up phone numbers and tie to names. Their trying to always up sell is annoying.

I find the Instant Checkmate program convenient and very thorough with their reports. I only wish I could print out a report to share with my Board of Governors. We usually stand around the laptop to read a report with unfavorable and favorable events.

I was very happy with the services Instant Checkmate provided. The results were accurate and the website was fairly easy to use. The only not-so-great thing was the price and ads (mainly ads). I primarily used the website on my phone's browser (a teenie iPhone SE), so ads/pop-ups were pretty distracting and took more time to pan through.

Should be one price for all information. This two level system is overcharging. Information provided at introductory level can be gained through free sources if one knows where to look. Oftentimes the telephone numbers are out of date and therefore useless.

The information available on individuals is adequate. We have used it successfully to locate people who have been difficult to find otherwise. The main complaint that I have with the system is that, although I pay for the basic plan, it continuously pops up windows wanting me to subscribe to a more expensive plan. Even though I click the "do not ask again", it keeps asking and asking. I am considering changing service companies because of the ads.

I use your service most every day to help in my genealogy research. With the help of the Possible Relatives I can piece family members together with their family branch. It has been most helpful in finding family members of adopted individuals.

This site has helped me locate some good friends of mine. And also helped me verify some of the people whom I have met information. I find it very useful and would recommend it if you're unsure of a person's intent or background.

The service would give you only basic information and for each level you were charged more. So bottom line it gave me nothing of what I needed. Most of what I paid for was basically common knowledge already by public information so why would I want to pay for that. It was that way on the 3 searches I did as well.

I do not like the new format at all, nor do I appreciate the system continuously asking me how I liked the report I received about a particular person. I'm not paying to have to give you constant feedback. I vastly prefer the previous format, not what is essentially a tree of results. I will not continue to use Instant Checkmate beyond my current agreement if you are unwilling to switch back.

I called last week to cancel my subscription and did not get a verification email. This site does not give me what I want. I cancelled once before, but thought I would give it another try. Not happy. Somehow I click on things twice or by accident without knowing it and then get charged twice. Not providing the info I am looking for so I am guessing this is not the site I want.

Unable to get copies of invoices that you charge to my credit card. Your customer service email doesn't reply!! Your phone customer service never comes to the phone and when they do they can't help!!! Called several times left on hold -- ten to fifteen minutes. No one comes to the phone. Call back get a customer support person who can't help.

My account was closed two days before it should have expired based on the way it was advertised -- monthly fee not 30 days! My card number changed and when I went to give the new number, discussion with the customer help resulted in a lot of "yes, buts. . ." and no contact by an administrator. Then I was offered a refund for the last month, which I never received, and no manager ever contact me regarding my experience. My problem was with the customer service, not with the actual service when it was operating. HOW YOU HANDLE YOUR CUSTOMERS MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE!

The bank canceled my card because of fraud; you guys did not notify me that my card was failing and you didn't allow me to continue my subscription at the same price. You wanted to charge me more money per month so I canceled my service. NOT GOOD!

It is nice but I am not sure if the information is accurate and updated. Price that is charged seems slightly high. I do like the idea of Checkmate and is good for the use if you are a business owner.

Every person I searched was inaccurate, sometimes not even the same person. I also only signed up for one month and they charged me twice. I have a dispute going. Just don't waste your money. The website is misleading. I have an arrest, it doesn't show up. My mother in law is pictured as someone else. The list goes on.

Not updated regularly enough. Too much old and inaccurate information. Also, cost for individual premium info has been raised way too high. I suggest a one-time premium membership fee as opposed to individual search charges. I believe the company will receive more new memberships that way.

I've been a member for several years now. But lately, the sign on process has become more difficult with all the items to check through. And then it doesn't always work and I have to do it all over again. I would think my member name and password would be sufficient. Besides, the information found on your site is as much as 20 years old in many cases.

I was a member of Instant Checkmate for over I believe a year and a half. The credit card that was on file for easy pay purposes was renewed. For some reason, I was informed at a later date that the credit card company had on file was not excepted. When I received my updated credit card with new expiration date, I immediately updated the information you had on file. For some reason, it did not take in your system. After calling one of your representatives, I was told rudely that your company did not have the new information on file. I offered to the person I spoke with to update the information at this time, and offered to pay any past due amounts was, but this was rejected. I was paying $14.95 per month and was very satisfied. I was told I would be billed at a higher rate, even though I was a member at $14.95 for over a year and half with no problems. I refused and terminated my membership because I believe this was highly unfair!

Not only does it require "membership", you have to pay addition money for the information that you really think comes with it. For the most part, it's a case of false advertising. It's very expensive to actually get what you think you signed up for. In addition, the auto renewal is hard to stop. I just had an auto renewal charge. I emailed them to no longer auto renew after this one, but received no acknowledgement that they received it or took any action. So I'm not sure if they will do what I asked for. I won't be using their "service" anymore. Very dissatisfied with the information provided, especially all the wrong information, basic information, like phone number and addresses. You know, the things we used to get for free in the phone book white pages. Don't waste your money.

Fast and fairly accurate... Like the % of chance by group of accurate info. Don't like the extra cost for a deep search after paying for the yearly service, should offer maybe one or two deep searches a year. Good Links on neighborhoods profile of people surrounding your search area.

I really like Instant Checkmate. Finding people is made pretty easy. However, it seems to have changed a bit recently. When I ask for a name, I seem to get last names that I did not ask for. I sort of like the old way. I do like the timeline. Also, the birth name for women is not accurate. My own shows my married name. Most of the women classmates also show their married names, which is not helpful. I like having women birth names to help verify the correct women. Also, there is a pop up now asking me if I am happy with the results each time I look for another person. That is annoying when I am looking for several people. I am in real estate, however, I use this mostly for keeping track of classmates. I am the head of the High School Reunion committee.

This is an outstanding resource. The information is accurate, and the site is easy to negotiate. Not only is the information accurate, but it is also extensive. The disclaimers are easy to understand. The cost for this service is reasonable. I use it several times a week.

Having to pay $20. For a premium report is a waste of money. I've experienced that there's little or no new information available. Offering an upgrade should only happen when there's actually more information available. In past years more details were available without having to upgrade the report to Premium.

I love the results once signed in, but hate the no robot part of signing in. Do not like the screens that always pop up by themselves over and over. Also, I have lately noticed a lot of filled in information on individuals that has been incorrect.

CheckMate is great. Only major problem is that it fails to account for Date of Death on the people reviewed. This is extremely important information. We have recommended the above on several times in the past. Would it be possible to obtain this info from you in the near future?

I showed that I had time remaining, but was unable to search, seems like I was blocked. So I chose not to renew. It was an ok service, but found SPOKEO was a little better search engine. For the casual time I spend searching it is a little too expensive.

I don't know yet, haven't spend enough time to determine if I can get my investment back. As yet not enough area to cover. I've got about 10% feedback from my inquiries. It lack broader range of e-mail look ups. Great idea but not as much information as I would like to see. The hit rate is not that great. Most people I search can't be found.

One of the pop-ups has a box that says "don't show this again" but that doesn't make it stop. I have found the service reliable and the information accurate. I use it in my volunteer service and in my work which requires me to know my customer. Instant Checkmate allows me to fulfill that responsibility. I have used this product for several months to locate classmates for my upcoming class reunion. It is difficult to assess the accuracy of the product but has been very helpful. I have been able to locate many of the missing.

I'm happy with the service. The basic service provides all the information I need. I use it to verify address of organization members who may have moved and not left a forwarding address. However, this last price increase of around 10 dollars without any additional service was almost a gouge.

A couple of the subject that I did a search for turned up with inaccurate information. I submitted flags with corrected information that Instant Checkmate never acknowledged or updated. Given that I consistently see information not being corrected I have to question the accuracy of any information that is pulled up.

The service is fast as has what seems to be accurate and credible information. However I was very disappointed to choose the service then go through all the timely steps to receive the information I had requested to only then be told if I wanted to view anything from the report I must pay for it. You should not advertise as being a free service. If the ad had been honest I would've chosen another site and not wasted all that time but this is only because I am struggling financially at this time. However, Had I had money I could've spent at the time, I would've been drawn towards your service if your ads honestly stated your fees.

On two different occasion, I tried to discontinue my membership. I tried calling the number provided TOO MANY TIMES TO COUNT. Never once did anyone ever pick up. The service provided was fine but if I can't stop my membership when I want to and as advertised, then I can no longer use, support or recommend this product and service to anyone. If there is another way to stop the membership please share. But, I tell you, the phone number did NOT work.

Someone tried to use my personal information to open up Credit Card Accounts. Instant Checkmate listed people associated with me. Among the people on the list were the people who were using my personal information. I was supplied with their names, addresses and phone numbers.

Research is so important in my business, as well as safety. Checkmate helps me do the very best for my clients and also keep me safe. [Found out I was working with a felon due to Checkmate's background check info]... Won't do that again before checking.

Wanting too much money for "add-ons". I hope my account was canceled when I asked for that two months or more ago. I don't agree with the "add-ons" being per person. I'm researching. If I pay an extra fee, it should take one to a "level" of not having to pay more for each person. I believe it's a ripoff.

Spokeo provides a much better experience. The ability to search by name, address, phone, email is awesome. I rarely use Instant Checkmate and often consider cancelling it. I would suggest you change your site to be more like Spokeo. The data and cost of both sites is similar. Yours is just harder to use.

As a person trying to use this service to look up somebody's information, this was a horrible experience. First off, the website gives you artificial loading times ("We're checking the reports! Please wait 10 minutes, even though the process is almost instantaneous!") while asking you more questions (you're paying for a service, yet the website is trying to milk more information out of you, about the person - I don't work for you). Next, after wasting 10 minutes of your life, and giving up your email address ("Give us your email address so you can save the report!"), it has to wait AGAIN.

Instant Checkmate was extremely quick to respond and resolved my issue right away.

I have used Checkmate for several years as part of my genealogy research. It has helped me connect with my relatives across the USA. The information is easy to read and the searches help a lot. I especially like the links to social media.

As a crime victim, I shouldn't have to give them more information than they've already made public. I called them. Explained I wanted my listing removed and would give them limited info. The extremely rude woman hung up on me. I've emailed repeatedly with information and request for removal and have gotten no response. Exploring legal action against these sites, brokers, etc. Why exactly are these companies allowed to not only unilaterally publish without consent, but make money off of publishing our personal and private information?

I've been a customer for several years. I HATE THE NEW INTERFACE! Nothing is showing anymore! Very bad design. I don't care about their timeline. I want to see their phone and locations. HORRIBLE! I will be investigating other services who are user friendly!

I use the service to confirm mailing address and birthdate to send my clients birthday cards. Facebook tells me their birthday too, but not all have Facebook and it waits until too close to their birthday for me to get a card in the mail and to them on time.

Went ahead and risked it and paid $35 for month of full access. It's not full access at all. They constantly want you to upgrade. The basic info shown is nothing like a PI background check. They even want more for you to save the info in a PDF, I mean for real. Most the data was no good. Phone numbers did not reach the person, social info was broken links. I've seen a real background check and this was nothing like it.

Instant Checkmate is manipulative in its implementation if not design. After playing what is essentially a gamified cow clicker to generate a report you will be asked to pay a sizable fee, despite no indication of a paywall until you've already given the site considerable time engagement. Fear not, for if you don't take action for a few minutes the site will "congratulate" you with a $1 5-day membership.

Try it - free trial. Really useful service for everyone who cares about knowing anything about people and for finding people you know a little bit about. If you're just worried about one person, you'll get the information you need for free so long as you cancel within the trial period. Yes, all of the information can be found on your own and usually for free, but that cost is dependent on you considering your time absolutely worthless. I seriously did find someone I've been looking for off and on since childhood (she had her Vietnamese first name on Facebook instead of the one I knew her in school by). It didn't tell me much of anything I didn't already know about most of the people I looked up except for a bunch of current phone numbers and a few addresses, but it has been invaluable to confirm information I'd already gained through regular Google research.

They have yet to remove my protected information, blocked me from Facebook although most other companies removed my information after I explained a crime victim and my life at risk publishing my information. They do not care if I get hurt or killed a veteran. They care about making money and that is all they care about despite the fact my address is protected under the law. Very sad.

I went on the website to determine if an acquaintance of mine was still alive. I found that he was but ever since that time I get frequent continuing requests to reopen the report. at the bottom of my computer screen. There is an X to delete them but no way to say enough!

I signed up for this thinking I could obtain the date of my long-ago divorce. After waiting a ridiculous amount of time to get the results, what I read did not include my current address, current employer or LinkedIn profile and most important, NO DIVORCE RECORDS. So then, thinking maybe if I get the Premium Search I would get what I was looking for -- NO! They will entice you with a message saying, "There's a big asset in your records, you should claim it," then you discover it's a house you sold decades ago.

Every time I try to locate someone from my past, I can always find the contact information and a report. The site is super helpful! I have used it for reunions and locate former classmates, professors, and colleagues. It is well worth the cost of the membership!

I paid $35 to see my own report and it is missing very important background information. I called to complain and I was told old records wouldn't show up. I checked a friend's record and their 20 year old record showed. I do not recommend this service.

My ex used your site to try and find negative things against me to interfere with me seeing my children. She never even paid for a review. Just screenshot the page where it says you folks have three criminal reports on me (included... she sent me the image with a rather nasty "gotcha now" type message). Which is outright FALSE. As I've never been arrested, never failed a drug screen, never had any convictions, and have even been registered with the Department of Homeland Security for employment and shown absolutely squeaky clean.

I had canceled originally, but after my company gained a lot of use out of it, I renewed. I've compared this service to BeenVerified - Instant Checkmate has consistently had more information in general and/or a correct information on people.

I'm not sure how people I don't know are linked to me. Otherwise, this is the best people searching tool I have ever used. The accuracy is very good with dates of birth and past residences. This is a good product to check for identity theft is a growing crime. Keep up the good work!

Everything is spot on. There's zero errors in their reports! After talking with people and friends about the accuracy of the reports, everyone was impressed. They all loved InstantCheckMate.com as much as I do. Keep up the super sleuthing.

I had the worst experience! I just found out I was being billed by Instant Checkmate for years! Good news first: they returned me 12 months worth of payments they withdrew from my bank account, but only after I threatened to have them investigated. Bad news: There is still approx. $1,100 of my money that they kept, customer service never replied to my email, operator asked for my phone number telling me someone will get back to me and no one did! Operator was not able to provide me with my contract.

It looks as if I have multiple Premium Reports for the same person. Am I being charged for each? In the last few months a bunch of errors have begun showing up in reports that were all correct up until the last time you "appear to have updated" your system. What's going on? Don't you test changes before you put them into the system?

You recently removed all information relating to persons being dead or alive, after I indicated to your Customer Service people that it was one of the main reasons I carried the expense of continuous membership. Unless you change back, I will be terminating my membership in the very near future.
