I purchased a Xbox One bundle for my son for Christmas. On HSN's website the price was advertised for 629 and it came with the game console, Kinect, controller, charger, a game and other accessories. However, when I received the item and we opened the gift on Christmas day it did not have the Kinect included. When I contacted HSN, they stated that it did not come with the Kinect and that I could be issued a 60.00 refund. If I wanted to go purchase one they are over 100.00. I do not believe that this is fair to the consumer. I think they scammed people into buying this and then didn't deliver. It was as if they knew this was going to happen and they are acting as if this is no big deal. If there is no fault why refund? Is this even legal. If I would have wanted to purchase a bundle without the Kinect, I would have ordered one of the less expensive ones. Someone please help me.

HSN advertises the Technibond jewelry with a lifetime warranty. What they fail to tell you is you need to save lots of information if you want to use that warranty. I contacted customer service and they gave me a phone number to contact the manufacturer of the technibond bracelet I had purchased. Guess what, the phone number was no longer in service. I have the manufacturers name and address that went out of business. What I don't have is the HSN order number. You must save the information that comes with the jewelry: manufacturer; HSN number; date purchased and the exact name of the item. Without this information your lifetime warranty is useless. AND - if the manufacturer is no longer in business - you are stuck with a piece of worthless jewelry with a lifetime warranty. Don't waste your money on Technibond jewelry. HSN does not stand behind this product that is exclusive to HSN.

Dec. 17, 2014. Found a Prepara ipad stand for my wife for Christmas. Site stated item #324762 was in stock and would arrive before Christmas. I ordered the item and received a confirmation email but the delivery date was 1/2/2015. I called the customer service dept to inquire why it wasn't being delivered promptly. I was informed the order was filled but was sitting at the warehouse and might be delivered on time but she couldn't provide any guarantees. I informed her I was not happy at all.
She passed me on to two more reps that told me the same thing. I told her I was very unhappy and probably would not ever again use HSN. Not would I ever recommend them. She asked if I wished to cancel the order and I said no. It was already in the works and it would be better late than never. She became irate and concluded the phone conversation. Later that afternoon I received an email stating they were out of stock on that item and my order was cancelled.

I ordered a projection light to light up outside my home instead of hanging lights. It didn't come in a few days. So called and was told it would arrive 12-15-14. 12-15-14 came and it didn't come. Told it would come on 12-17-14 - it didn't come. Called and told it would come on 12-23-14. Kinda late for lighting up the house for Christmas. Manager said sorry but it UPS fault. I have had orders delivered every few days from other companies. Most came within 3 days. Now I have to mess with sending it back finding a UPS place.

I placed three orders on December 5, 2014. On December 12, I received an email that my orders had been returned to HSN and that a credit would be issued to my account. I had not returned these orders. I had not even received the orders. Over the next few days, I sent four emails to HSN explaining I had not received the orders and that I still wanted them. Not one email was answered. I finally found through tracking that my packages were returned because of illegible labels were attached. I finally got through to customer service via phone.
I was told yes, the items were returned but no, they did not receive them back from UPS. The rep could not tell me how they knew they were being returned but, hadn't received them yet. UPS said they were received back at HSN on the 13th. I asked that if they hadn't received my orders back, once they did, would they put a legible label on the orders and return them to me? The answer was no, they needed to be checked for damages. I asked if I could place the orders again. The answer was no, they are out of stock. When I asked why I hadn't received an answer to any of my emails in four days, they are busy and can't get to all of them.
What a bunch of crap. My first and last attempt to order from HSN!!!!! Sticking with QVC!!!

Purchased a queen-size mattress from their consiurge collections... when it came from a company called Rio. I Googled mattress and it’s on amazon all day long for $200 cheaper. Less quality. How do they think they can send someone a totally different brand item and pass it off as the one in the presentation video? Bold face liars. I called and they ordered me mattress again but I have a feeling I’m going to end up with the same mattress as the first one sent.

Had ordered a laptop as a gift. After 2 weeks and no delivery I decided to call about the order. I was told that they couldn’t find my package even though a tracking number was assigned. They would not offer a replacement and kept insisting on a refund. I want the item not a refund. I will never do business with them again and will tell everyone I know never to use HSN because they do not believe in good business practices.

I ordered a beats buds 2 headset and they said I would receive it on 12/12/14. By the 11th I still did not receive a tracking # or who they had shipped it with. I emailed HSN and they replied quickly to say the would investigate and get back asap. At the end of their response they asked for review of their service. Within 3 days I emailed and asked again and received the same reply as before. That same day I received a notice of cancellation and also a automated call with their apology and a promise of a $5 credit.
At that point I was upset with HSN and told them so. I marked it as a bad experience and at that point knew I didn't want to use this company ever again. On 12/16 I decided to order a headset from Samsung, I made the order and received confirmation and tracking info within 3 hours. Just after I made my new order with Samsung I received a email from HSN saying my order from them was now being shipped.
I called HSN and spoke to someone who said that I would be transferred to their complaint dept and was for 27 min for a rep. Now mind you, on the email they sent, there was no tracking number, just a button that said "track." I pushed it and UPS said there was no information available. The HSN rep said it had been shipped already and could do nothing. She also said the money would be taken from my account and I couldn't stop it. I informed her that there wouldn't be enough money in the account since I made a purchase from Samsung. She informed me in so many words that it was my problem and I could send it back after I receive it and my money will come back to me after they receive it back. Normally this would not be a big thing but I am now on SS and don't have enough to cover the purchase. I will wind up being charged for a overdraft and I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS BS COMPANY AGAIN. Thanks for your time.

I have relieved three kitchen items that were previously used and returned to HSN. The first was an eight quart pressure cooker. It arrived greasy with scratches in the bottom of the pot. The second item was a Food Saver that was dirty and did not work. The latest item was a Curtis Stone everything pan. The pan arrived greasy with knife cuts and scratches across the non-stick surface. It is easy to tell when you get a used item just by looking at the packaging. A new item arrives in a box with one strip of tape down the middle of the box. Used items will have lots of tape over original tape. HSN should be sued for false advertising, offering new products and sending customers merchandise that other customers have returned.
I hope everyone that reads this will write a letter to HSN and complain about this type of false advertising. If you order a new product, you should receive a NEW product, not something someone else has tried and returned. I am looking into the possibility of a class action lawsuit against HSN. Customers are not getting the new item that they ordered and then they are charged a return fee by HSN. Totally ridiculous business practice. I am sure none of HSN’s staff, owners or employees would settle for a dirty used car if they pay a new price for one. Yet this is exactly what they are doing to their customers. Shame on HSN for promising brand new products and sending used, dirty, and sometimes broken JUNK.

I don't shop very often with HSN, thank goodness. I just tried to purchase 2 items had them in my shopping cart and doing checkout. Checkout asked me for my email & password. Upon completing these two items I come back to an EMPTY CART! I called customer service right away and waited 40 minutes. The customer service person just keep saying how the item I had ordered had sold out. Dah! But when I put the item in my cart it had NOT SOLD OUT! How does an item in your cart that you are purchasing disappear from your cart when you are doing checkout?? I even heard one of the salespeople say on air that "Go ahead and click on checkout to make sure your item stays in your cart." What a LIE! This is not the first time. I think this is a standard practice with them. NEVER AGAIN!

Consumers Be Aware - HSN has no regard for its customers! I have been a member of HSN for over ten years and bought much from them over the years. My mom passed away and I went on HSN to close my mother's file and to update my account (change my phone number and address). The automated system would not let me and so someone from customer service went through the process with me and assured me it was done. I then ordered things which never arrived. When I called to check, I was told the updates had not taken place. Another representative went through the process, and updated my account for me, told me it was updated, and then took my order for the second time. These items never arrived and when I called, I was told (1) my account had not been updated, (2) both orders had been sent to my old address and returned; and (3) my account had been closed by HSN for non receipt of packages. When I asked to speak to accounts so that the problem could be corrected, I was told accounts does not take phone calls, only letters. Basically I have been punished for my mom dying and for moving into her home and using the phone in existence there.

I purchased an item six days ago and have received the item. However, HSN has not provided a receipt or proof of purchase for the item. I have contacted them multiple but since their rep neglected to get my email address when I placed the order, they are refusing to provide a documentation of my purchase. This item is an electronic and is covered by a warranty and their liberal holiday return policy. Without a receipt of any kind, I am at their mercy should this item prove to be defective within the return or warranty period. This is an absolute scam situation being perpetrated by HSN. I was on the hunt for a DSLR camera and decided to try HSN since they will break up the payments every month. This was my first experience ever using HSN and it was horrible! I ordered the camera and everything was fine. Then a week later they contacted me saying they cancelled my purchase because they couldn't verify that it was me who was ordering the camera! So after you withdrew the money from my account and everything was cleared you go and cancel it?! I was then asked a series of personal questions so that they could help identify me after talking to the rep for 30 minutes he says he has no valid information about who I was. This was absolutely ridiculous! I've never experienced this with any online company before!
I took my money elsewhere and went to QVC where I had an amazing experience and actually got the DLSR for a better price and with an additional lense. I didn't have any "identity" problems with QVC. They were amazing! Also DO NOT sign up for HSN emails. They will bombard your email with tons of spam! When channel surfing this weekend I came across HSN selling "new" Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 units. The hosts worked this product up to make it sound like you were getting the latest HDX 8.9, the exact model that Amazon is currently selling. This was a total sham and the usual bait and switch con game so familiar with the hit and run electronics retail stores that used to permeate every large city in the USA so many years ago. HSN has taken it up a notch by being able to con and rip people off from all over our nation by doing it on national television. After comparing the specifications on both products offered by Amazon and HSN I came across the following points: HSN's Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a sub-standard model compared to the one currently being sold on Amazon. Compare it with Amazon's current model which has a 400 GPU, Wireless AC, and a faster processor. What you get from HSN is an older model with a slower 300 GPU, no Wireless AC, and a slower processor. But they don't say that on TV do they? They work it up by saying Amazon allowed them, and only them, to sell the same product Amazon sells at a cheaper price.
The wiseguys at HSN don't even know (or maybe they do) the products they sell and try to pass last year's tech as this year's latest. When I called HSN all they did was apologize and admit that it was the same model with different internal components. Exactly like a Ferrari with a Dodge engine, but hey it's still a Ferrari! According to the arrogant rep on the phone this is HSN's common practice. According to this rep it is also an industry standard to sell the sub-standard products as like or equal without stating such over the TV airwaves. I would like to introduce HSN's president to some wiseguys in Brooklyn that use the same industry standards as HSN. The real deal would cost you $30 more at Amazon and the upsell at HSN is that they are selling the same product for $30 less with a free keyboard and free shipping. I called Amazon to alert them of HSN's Crazy Eddie tactics and they too were apologetic about the whole situation. The person (located outside of the USA) that I spoke to was equally appalled at HSN's con man tactics.
Amazon was gracious enough about the situation and sent me a $20 credit to apply to the purchase of a new Kindle- the real deal. Knowing what the industry standard is according to HSN I will never again buy electronics from HSN or any other television con men who try to pass their outdated and sub-standard equipment as this year's latest and greatest. I'm returning the trash HSN is sending right back to their junk house in a heartbeat. HSN, just like the Crazy Eddie of the old days, is definitely insane! Bait and switch, not really SOLD OUT items, and downright nationally televised lies is what HSN is all about. Buyers Beware. Buy your products from honest, reputable vendors with hearts and souls. Avoid the television devils and goblins with pretty faces and infatuating voices who try to convince the innocent buying public that Hell is just like Heaven.

I was about to spent $300 at HSN. However, I noted that they asked if cards are debit or credit and that is a red flag. Over the summer, Paypal changed how it processed my long ago entered dual debit/credit card where we have dual use for cash and credit and are supposed to decide and agree to whether our cards are used as debit use via pin or by credit. Paypal was somehow allowed to bypass requirements for a pin number and to instead processed transactions as CASH which due to the number of purchases then went over my transaction limit and locked out my card use. If I had been traveling on a weekend, I would have been furious!!
BEWARE OF THIS PEOPLE! When you use your card and it's processed like cash by companies with these sort of discrimination policies, you have ZERO protection from the fraudsters (including when HSN behaves badly). You can see a guy on here who was wrongly charged over $2000 via a mistake order that took the money straight out of his bank and was also processed like cash @ HSN. DO NOT ALLOW HSN to have access to your DEBIT CARD!! It's like a free pass to your bank account that you have no protection against..
Anyhow, because HSN has decided that they will take credit cards from people who ONLY have credit cards BUT TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST THOSE WHO HAVE DEBIT AND TO THEN REQUIRE CASH from them and to thus REFUSE OUR CREDIT CARD OPTION - FOR Those of US WHO want to use OUR DUAL CREDIT/DEBIT as CREDIT. THIS IS DISCRIMINATION via HSN!!! They accept it from one person but not another and in doing so seek to limit card related charges for our cards but are accepting them from other people who use ONLY credit!! Furthermore, they seek to prevent us from having protections on our accounts; which are standard for these sorts of things for anyone who doesn't want to have their savings stolen. THIS IS WRONG AND SHOULD BE ILLEGAL.
Tell HSN and any other company who pulls this garbage that you will boycott them until they get their act together and treat all customer cards the same... which means accepting credit from ALL customers and not trying a work around for those people who have dual use cards!! SHAME ON HSN!! - who did not get my $300 order. Don't give them yours either!!!

I have been ordering this product for 21 years! I changed bank accounts last year & 1 of my flex pay did not get paid. I received a phone call from a bill collector stating this. So I paid right away. That was last Oct 2013. Went to order in Dec, they said I had a balance. I said I paid it. Well no confirmation, you will have to call the bill collector & find out why. So I ask for the number & called. They said that is paid. Call back, they say must be the other bill collection place, here is the number you have call. So I call, they went out of business. So let them know that. They say find your credit card statement to show us proof of payment. So I do & I email them a picture of it. Ok your blocked is removed - call to order your account is blocked. I go around like this 5 times over a 7 month period!! I speak to someone - they say you have a different account, meanwhile mind you I have had the same address for 18 years! Call this collector with this account number, so I do.
They say you a balance from 2009. Ok I don't know why, don't care, pay it. I was so fed up. I paid it. That was July 2014. It takes 7 to 30 days ok. I call tonight to order, there is still a block on my account. So I call the collector to find out why this is not cleared, they say found another account from 2010, there is balance. Really! What is going on. Mind you, I have been order every year about 4 times a year for 20 years. No mention of any balance until this flex pay issue that happened in 2013! There is something really wrong with this!!! SO FED UP, HELP!!!

On July 15th an exercise chair arrived via UPS. My son accepted the package. I was home but not in the front of the house. It was exercise chair that I considered ordering remotely via my tv but cancelled before the order processed. I am shocked it arrived. I ran outside looking for the UPS man whose truck was still parked out front but he was nowhere to be found. Of course the minute I went back inside as it was over 100 degrees that day, he jumped back into his truck and left. Not as if he was avoiding me. I never opened the package and it sat in my front room, in the box until today.
I loaded it in my car and took it to my local UPS store. They said they could not accept it and I would have to call UPS to come and pick it up. So I did that. UPS told me they could not accept it as it was past their 5-7 day time limit to pick up packages for returned items. I then called HSN, this is where the fun begins. The man I spoke with asked for the item number which I gave him off the return label that I am simply suppose to affix to the box and be done with it. He then tells me that is not one of their products so that alone set me over the edge.
I asked to speak with his supervisor. She tells me there is a 30-day return policy and I am still within the 30 days but in order for me to return it, I will have to pay shipping, for an item I didn't want to begin with. Apparently, they do give you a return shipping label but it didn't have a UPS tracking number on it and she could not explain why it did not have one. There was free shipping with this item but now I am being charged shipping just to get rid of thing. So she offered to send me a check for $20 toward shipping and I will have to pay the rest, which is scary.
She extended the time of return to 09/10/14 and it has to be back in the warehouse by that day or I am stuck paying for it. So now I have to wait for this lame check to come in as I am not paying for it myself cause I know something will happen and I will be out even more money. I think I am mostly upset at the guy from HSN who curtly told me that was not one of their products and the guy from UPS who tells they have 5-7 return policy even though HSN has a 30-day policy. I am also mad at HSN for not providing a UPS tracking number on the return label, especially when the item weighs 20lbs.
Just be careful when ordering from them as this is not the first time this has happened but before the items were smaller, and less expensive so it was not a big deal. Like when they sent me 2 vacuums when I only ordered one. Luckily, I was able to sell the other one. I have also purchased an iPad which died 2 weeks after I bought it. So now I need to take that in for repairs. I only used it 5 times and each time I was on it a half hour at the most. So please be careful when ordering from them, especially if you need to return the item.

I shopped with HSN since about 1987-at least that's when I started to tune in. I worked a night shift and at the time that was the only thing on TV when I came home - I would sit and watch. Within a couple of years I purchased. Needless to say like another reviewer mentioned - I spent much over the years. Most appliances I have, among other items are HSN. Lots of gift items as well. Really I've loved most of the products/vendors. There was quite a spell there where basically I kept everything ordered - believe me stuff ($) racks up fast. There comes a point where I would order but once received I became more selective - maybe some of that comes with age also? I would keep the things that really wowed me and send the rest back. I was happy, just fine with what I had.
Well, I did receive a letter before long - a warning letter about excessive returns. I was really surprised! With all I had spent with them! Their job is to entice folks to buy - well what do you expect then? Well, that was a warning. Nothing mentioned - is there a certain "percentage" of returns acceptable? They advertise, no questions asked. Money back 30 day guarantee - something seems off to me.
Well I continued to order. I used their high interest rate card, but always made the flex payment so I never, ever accrued interest using the card. Prior, I had been using another credit card - that was a different scene altogether. Well it was one day in March 2013, I called in to order something - it wouldn't let me order on automated, but instead routed me to one of their customer service reps. The rep said "I'm sorry to inform you, your account has been closed". I was totally shocked. I told the rep so. He said "oh, I hate when they do this to me - I hate having to be the one telling this to folks". I gathered from that - I was not alone in this.
When I called the HSN card company the woman I spoke to said "oh no, Ma'am your account isn't closed - you're a good customer". (In fact I was one of the old timers still allowed to send in a check payment. HSN had stopped that for most all other customers a couple of years ago). I told her HSN said it was closed. She put me on hold and spoke with someone else. They verified that it was closed and she was shocked. Well, it all kind of felt so weird in a way - it kind of felt like going through a divorce! A very yucky feeling.
I emailed customer service. I wanted something relayed to their CEO Mindy Grossman - not verbatim but...."I feel as though there is false advertising done at HSN. Please relay to the customer - whether it be on your invoice or a text. Let the customer know what percentage of returns they are at, what is the defining number that constitutes excessive. This would at least help the customer in tracking their purchases/returns. And please don't say you have a 30 day unconditional return policy".
I got a reply back from someone saying they would present this at one of their meetings. If they did - I sure don't see any changes. I remember one Jewelry channel - they used to post right on their invoice. If you have too many returns, we reserve the right to close your account. Gee HSN, at least be honest. I'm really wondering now after dumping who knows how many customers if HSN is hurting. I've noticed they show taped shows at night. And now they have an HSN2 that shows taped pieced together old airings. I did email them twice wondering if there has been any change on their part in regards to the account - "no - closed indefinitely". Oh well, their loss. I do miss their vendors; Jay **, Carol **, etc. I have purchased some of their items on the secondary market though. There really is a plus shopping local though - you help your city and you can actually see and hold and try on an item. Hey! That's a novel idea!

Yep, just watched Guy Yovan first presentation at 12 noon on the #366-198 Soda Stream Soda Maker he states "He uses it all the time." Also states "In fact I had friends over the other night (sure you did) and they needed soda water, and I said wait I have the soda maker. So I made them their soda water." Later in seconds, he slips up where he states "where can you buy this at this price! He states the lying part from since he uses this for his sodas, why does he state "that's what I spend per month on sodas"! Omg! Are you kidding me and these people sleep at night!
Here is another! Item 366-220 Hamilton Beach Open ease Automatic Jar Opener. Again it is Mr. Guy Yovan and his co-host, the blonde woman with no name.. who is using the opener on what they state can open all cans, jars, you name it, from 1-4". Amazing it jumps off trying to open a big 4" top for tomato juice and they move the camera but guess what, some of us are not STUPID, HSN! It never did open it. Guy catches it falling off and she makes quick for another bottle. Then another happens. It can't even open a peanut butter jar! But they talk about the older people who cannot open these items, how it will open it for them.
Amazing all these pieces of junk you will see at Goodwill or Salvation Army for 50 cents to a dollar! I would say I only hope it is their mom or dad that gets one and it can't open the items for them! But I care more than I do... Guy and HSN DON'T LIE TO YOUR OWN FAMILY, WHICH YOU ARE DOING. HSN did not inform me as a consumer that they did not provide return labels or absorb cost of return of Teeter-Hang Up at time of purchase. Did not inform customer that product had to be put together during sale. That was false advertising. When contacting Customer Service about why there was no return label, they repeatedly said it's not their warehouse, so it's the customer's responsibility. Again, they NEVER stated that when they sold it from their HSN, refused to arrange pickup.
I spoke to senior account representatives: Bill, Jessica, Aaron, Debbie & acct rep Sandra. Debbie refused to attempt to help and kept everything that could be done was and would not escalate this to allow me to speak to a supervisor and gave me a number to call and leave a message for Leadership at: 727-872-2500. I did. The story changed every time. They said a return label would be at my home on 6/18/14. Then they said it would be mailed out on 6/18/14.
They have refused to have this picked up even though Jessica told me it would be since this product hurt my back opening the box. They should be required to tell customer when the customer must pay to return item, when an item must be put together, & when item does not come from their warehouse which then changes standard return policy! They should be fined for not giving this information.

They lied. Do not believe them when they say you can return an item within the 30 days for any reason!!! To say that I have ordered thousands and thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from HSN is an accurate statement! I have never purchased any item over $79.00, ex a ring $79.00 and didn't like it but returned it within a week. Yes I have returned jewelry for size purposes.
Mind you I am not kidding I have purchased maybe $10000.00 worth of merchandise. My whole home is HSN stuff that I LOVE. I USED TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT HSN!!!!!! BUT THEY SUDDENLY blocked my account WITH NO WARNING, NO LETTER OF WARNING, and all my accounts were completely paid because I used a credit card. I have written about 5 long letters. I have called and spoken with a few supervisors. I sent certified mail two times to the corporate office. I have called the corporate office.
They say I returned too many items and that is why they closed my account. The one supervisor said to me, "I am looking at your account and you do not return too many items." I agreed! I normally bought 2 or 3 of an item and kept at least 2, sometimes returned one for size with all its tags attached and in the original packaging with all the inserts. OVER 75 PERCENT of time I returned items unopened!!!! in salable condition.
THEY CANCELED MY ACCOUNT. THEY BLOCKED MY ADDRESS. My two grown daughters who live with me have their accounts closed because we share the same address!!!!!!!!!! They have not been able to purchase any of their items that they love for make up, acne products, jewelry and they are none to happy. So now 3 unhappy customers are telling everyone NOT TO ORDER FROM HSN for how they treat their customers instead of having 3 happy customers.
I used to use ebates.com to place my order and save an additional 3-4 %. I sometimes wonder if I got kicked out because of that, because I was a faithful customer for years!~!!!!! 3 of my computers are from them, etc! My whole house is HSN. SOME OF MY MOST FAVORITE THINGS THAT I OWN CAME FROM HSN.I told everyone I was a walking billboard for them, until they closed my account to my shock and amazement with no warning and blocked my entire address and other family members accounts. Funny I ordered other products just a few days ago and ordered it on Flex Pay but was okayed the Flex Pays and I am paid the products in full but as soon as I decided to order the Kindle Fire, they want the full price upfront! Then why give the Flex Pay if you don't want to honor it. Or is it a gimmick used to lure people to buy it and then you deny the Flex Pay in order to scheme them to pay the price in full and that seems like a scam to me. To not honor the Flex Pay is a total rip off and a very bad publicity stunt to get people's attention, and then not honor the Flex Pay to get people to pay the full price. So why then give the Flex Pay if you don't want to honor it! Bad sales pitch if you ask me and I won't be doing business any more with this bunch and bad customer service as well!

Questions that I personally did not like them even knowing the answers to. I answered the questions correctly and was assured that my order would not be delayed. On 3/15/14 (the next day), I received an email that they were out of the Kindles and my item should ship in about 30 days. The email stated that after 30 days, they would automatically cancel if the Kindles didn't come in. My other option was to cancel myself. So of course I cancelled my $550.00 order. Before purchasing any high dollar item I check the return procedures. HSN claims that unless the specific items states otherwise, every item is eligible for easy returns. Big Fraud. After you purchase furniture you can't cancel the order after 24 hours and even though the item doesn't state that it's not eligible for easy returns, when it arrives, it states on the invoice that you're responsible for returning it. I figure, fine, I'd rather pay $35 to return their item than deal with them but when I try to process the return, they blocked the item saying I had exceeded the number of allowable returns. I have NEVER returned anything to HSN. After dealing with their horrible customer service and realizing their easy returns did not apply to furniture items I quickly cancelled my order for a set of mattresses. When I called customer service to complain, the agent refused to do anything, said there was nothing they could do.
Second problem - I also ordered a dining room set. I live on the 3rd floor of a walk up so I was careful to be sure the item would be delivered to my apartment. But when the shipping company called to schedule delivery, they informed me that they only deliver to the doorway. I contacted HSN customer service and same story - there's nothing they can do. The agent actually said that HSN is just a third party and they're not responsible for who the vendor sends the product to for delivery!! Okay, fine, I call the shipping company to schedule the delivery and they give me a 1-6 pm delivery window on a Friday.
I ask my son to come over and wait for the delivery, which means he has to leave his disabled wife at home alone for the day, but she just got a new motorized wheelchair so she says she can handle it. At 4:30 pm, I call the shipping company to make sure they're still going to deliver the furniture and I'm assured that I'm still on the schedule. At 6 pm I call back and I'm told they'll try to reach the driver and call me back. At 6:25 I receive a call saying, "Sorry, the driver didn't load your freight on the truck. When is another convenient time to deliver?"
Are you kidding me??? There is no other convenient time! That wasn't even a convenient time! So I tell the woman about my son leaving his disabled wife and she "seems" to be sympathetic and asks me to hold for a minute. She comes back on the phone and asks if I'll be home tomorrow, which is a Saturday. Now I know they don't normally deliver on Saturday so I'm skeptical, but the woman seems sincere so I say I'll be home all day. She tells me they will deliver between 10am - 2pm on Saturday. She lied. Name of that shipper is JFK Cottage. So, I'm still without the dining set, which I've paid almost $800 for and can't return to HSN. What a nightmare.

At that point, they told me I couldn't return the items because it was beyond their return policy. Where do I begin? I've never dealt with a company with worse customer service and more incompetent representatives. I placed an order and when I received it, part of the order was missing. No problem. I contacted them and while at first, they accused me of lying (it was silly as the missing item was a small accessory probably worth a few dollars), they agreed to send me a replacement. For some reason, that took over 2 weeks and when I got it, they sent me the wrong product. By the way, the missing item was a part that was needed in order to use the whole product. So I contacted them again, and a few weeks later, I finally got the item.
Then 2 weeks later, I went on the website to place another order and it said it could not be processed. I thought they were having a problem with their website so I contacted them. I was told my account was closed. They refused to give a reason. And of course, they didn't even send me any message in advance to inform me. None of this makes sense but I know now why home shopping channels, especially HSN, have a bad reputation. I guess if you complain about their mistakes, you get blocked like a mad ex-girlfriend.
To add insult to injury, a month later, the product broke. I've also noticed when it comes to electronic items, the hosts and guests often lie about the product features. I don't know if its intentional or not, but I even contacted the company because I think they take advantage of uneducated consumers. They also claim they offer risk free trials with full refunds. What they don't tell you is that they don't refund the shipping AND you have to pay for shipping the return. So that free trial can often cost you up to $20. All in all, I wouldn't do business with this company anyway. They can learn from companies like Amazon or QVC that are known for its customer service. HSN is definitely a second rate company (A lot of merchandise is also poor quality and overpriced so buyer beware).

I purchased an ASUS laptop from HSN, round April, 2013. From day one I have had tech issues with this computer. I have notified both HSN & ASUS. The laptop has been repaired on the phone twice by ASUS techs, & in their repair unit twice. At this point I'm totally frustrated & informed ASUS there is obviously a bigger problem than they are admitting. I've only had the laptop several months at the most & it's been under repair more than in use. HSN has pushed me past their so called 30-day return warranty, now I believe ASUS is trying to push me out also! Either way I have an extended warranty, but after all this I want a replacement & neither company is budging. I had to buy an IPAD to do my work on, because my laptop never works. Somebody help, I'm totally stressed.

I asked how can I resolve this issue and was told well pay for it. First of all most of the customer reps I have spoken to are very nice. This one has no idea on how to treat much less speak to a consumer. Was passed with a Supervisor which told me she could not help me and gave me the phone number to collections. Now if I owe since November, how did they allow me to buy last month. Really, I am about to think this has to do with my calling about returning a few things.

I ordered the Luminess Air make-up from HSN in September. It was a poor quality product that did not hold up to the host's details. I returned the product in September by dropping it at a UPS Store location. I had applied the label that was supplied with the product for shipping. What I didn't realize was that the label that was included in the packaging was not a prepaid label as the host had stated on the show and which was a normal thing. The product did not get returned to HSN and I am unable to track because I dropped at the UPS Store and they don't keep a record of products dropped and they stated that they are not UPS just a drop off spot. I can't even put a trace on the tracking number that I had from HSN because I didn't ship the product.
After fighting for several months with HSN they credited my account the money they had withdrawn in November 2013 and sent me an e-mail confirming what they had done. I thought everything was taken care of and I got rid of every paper I had relating to the dispute. Well NO. In January. they started withdrawing the flex pays from my account again. I called them and they said they had never gotten a tracking number from me and I explained that I had given it to them several times. Their comment was "you didn't return the product so you will be charged for it". I did return it but I don't have any way of tracking it.
Why would they credit my account and then start charging me again? I HAD, I mean HAD, been a customer of HSN for many years. I will never shop with them again and I would recommend if you do that you use a prepaid debit card so they don't have access to your account.

I bought items from HSN at Christmas time. Some I put on my LL Bean Visa and some on my HSN MasterCard with Flex Pays. I called last night to order their special and asked them what I had on my MasterCard. I should only have one order with 4 Flex Pays and she said that I have 88.83 on my MasterCard. I said no those are on my Visa. She said very nasty “You don't have any orders on your MasterCard.” So I logged in to my order status and now I see what's going on - what HSN is doing.
They’re moving all my Flex Pays from my LL Bean Visa over to their HSN MasterCard without me knowing and now they just put one Flex Pay from my Visa on to an old closed out HSN charge card years ago. And they removed my Visa at the top of the order and put the old closed out charge card to make it look like the order was placed on the old closed out card then my LL Bean Visa which is the card I placed the order on. I blocked both my Visa and my MasterCard. I don't what they’re doing or why or even what their motive is for doing it. When I called them last night, I got on their case and one women sounded like she was crying and had to put me on speaker phone and another was stuttering so nervous that she could barely speak. I Purchased several items as Christmas presents from HSN this year because of their "Easy Return" policy. They never mentioned on their presentations that the product was not being shipped from HSN and return postage may be required. They give this big sales pitch on how you can use it until Jan 31st and return if dissatisfied. Return labels were included with the items - all being shipped to the HSN - 17785 Center Court Dr Suite - 670 - Cerritos, CA - 90703- How is that another company? Also, the return address on the original package says it came from HSN at that same address. My daughter called customer service and got a very rude representative - when she told him we were good customers and shopped frequently - he replied sarcastically - "Well, HSN has been in the business 37 years - how long has your mom been a customer?" My daughter asked to speak to a manager - they did give me a $25 credit on a future order but that doesn't help with the out-of-pocket money to send back the items. I think they should make it clear in their presentation where the merchandise is coming from and who pays for the return shipping.

What HSN DOESN'T tell you when you purchase from them, is that many items do NOT QUALIFY for their easy return policy! Electronics and large items, like the Pilates reformer I purchased from them, ship directly from the manufacturer and are not part of the easy return policy EVEN THOUGH you ship it back to the HSN Fulfillment Center. Unluckily for me, I purchased my reformer in plenty of time to receive it for Christmas (October 2013). The big push by the host was this - "You could try it until Christmas because they were extending the return days for this item until 30 days after Christmas!"
There is no mention for the proper return FOR THIS item on the back the shipping label. The small and insufficient label they provide for the return doesn't even have the correct address!!!
So when I was confused about the return procedure, I called HSN. The first agent I spoke with told me that because my item shipped directly from the manufacturer, I would be getting a call from UPS to arrange for a pick-up of the item. HE FAILED TO MENTION MY ITEM DIDN'T QUALIFY FOR "EASY SHIPPING" AND I WOULD BE PAYING FOR THE RETURN. When I didn't hear from UPS in a week, I called HSN again. This agent tells me that my request for a shipping label was denied because my item never qualified for the "Easy Return" 30-day policy EVER. He went so far as to say that VERY FEW ITEMS ship back FOR FREE. He did give me the correct address to ship the item to - THE HSN FULFILLMENT CENTER - not the manufacturer! They blamed the manufacturer for not participating in the 'easy return', but it is obvious this is HSN's policy about high priced items.
Yesterday, I finally received a letter (not email or phone call) about being denied the return label. The letter told me to follow the directions on the back of the shipping label to return the item on my own. Since this address was different than the one the second agent gave me, I called HSN AGAIN to verify the return address and procedure. The third agent was very kind and understanding and I told her I was calling because I felt HSN was INTENTIONALLY DECEPTIVE on the TV, as was the first agent I spoke with who didn't seem to know that my item never would be able to receive a return label. It was an intentional time delay - as was the letter sent by snail mail!
I don't know why there hasn't been a class action lawsuit against these people yet, but after reading the complaints posted here, it seems to me that HSN is intentionally omitting information from the TV broadcasts and are withholding information about return policies upon the time of purchase. I would be happy to join a lawsuit against these people. I know that all those that purchased tablets and other electronics this Christmas will be facing the same problem if they wish to return their purchase. I will NEVER purchase anything from HSN again. It will never be worth the pain that this has caused me, and I refuse to deal with a company that is INTENTIONALLY misleading people.

On 12/31 I saw that it was in the UPS center in the adjacent town at 5:30 a.m. In the past that always meant it would be delivered that day. It did not happen. Today I checked and saw it was taken to the local post office. Why? Because that is how HSN set it up. Why didn't UPS just deliver it here?? THEN to make matters worse, I contacted our small post office to find out that no, I could not go down to pick it up since those packages don't get sorted until tomorrow! Which means I might get it on January 4th, Saturday. I called customer service and emailed HSN. No explanation could be given. Seems to me they could have kept it all on UPS and kept a customer. The first order I placed with HSN was a tablet for my mom for Christmas. I ordered it on Flexplay and it was delivered quickly and I was very happy with them so I decided to do a lot of my Christmas shopping through HSN. I next ordered a wall-mounted fireplace, a tv and a pre-paid cell phone. They told me the fireplace would get here by Christmas. (Today is the day after and it's not here.) It's been over a week and still hasn't left their warehouse. They cancelled the tv and cell phone because I chose the Flexpay option and they ran a credit check and my credit is bad due to my recent divorce. I understood I guess but what I didn't appreciate is the notification I received about the cancelled order claiming I was trying to de-fraud them.
(Apparently to them, anyone who tries to buy an electronic item with Flexpay and has less than perfect credit is a fraud risk, but instead of wording it that way, they accuse you of fraud!) That's no way to treat a customer!! I was livid and requested my credit card be credited back the money I'd already paid. They told me it would be within 72 hours. According to the aggressive, obnoxious HSN Hostess (who clearly knew little about the difference between a laptop and a tablet) AND the on-air product graphics, I was paying about 1/2 of the $2400 "Retail Value" for my tablet. Later that day I was on the phone with my son and told him about my purchase, positive he would be proud of bargain. Instead, he informed me he had seen the IDENTICAL tablet at Best Buy's for $698, about HALF of what I paid HSN. Yes, HSN always "bundles" their high ticket, name brand electronics to give them a higher "Retail Value" - this bundle included earphones, and charger and an auto charger - NONE of which ANYONE needs. Plus "$500" worth of software, such as "Hallmark Greetings" which one can buy for $30 anywhere and some version of "Word" which is good for 30 days, after which you much purchase the program. It is REALLY a scam - the REAL "suggested retail" was closer to $1000 than the $2400 they list.
More annoying than this "bundling" of Electronics to perhaps "legally" list suggested retails which are easily DOUBLE the cost of electronics that any wise shopper could find at "Amazon" and "Best Buys", is this "Flex Pay" gimmick. Flex Pay is simply HSN allowing their customers to spread their Credit/Debit Card purchases over 4 or 5 months. So a $100 purchase is $20 for five months - with no interest. This is nice, but what's in it for HSN? Easy, the host continuously refers to this item as a purchase "you can have in your home for only $20!" It's EASY for a customer to actually believe the cost of the item is $20. PLUS, it's a lie anyway because the first payment will include the shipping and tax. So that "$20" item is actually a $27 item "to get it home".
YES, I think MANY of the HSN customers are confused by this Flex Pay Double Talk. Listen to the average customer that is put through to speak "LIVE WITH A HOST". These customers ALL sound like 68-year-old widows - lonely and little to do but spend their money on crap they don't need from HSN. I have heard customers on the air being asked how "excited" they were about their purchase of the iPad - and they said, "Honestly, I really don't know what an iPad is"!
And this leads me to my final complaint. HSN has some of the most aggressive, obnoxious Hosts on the air. They have all the style and finesse of used car salesmen of the 50s. When HSN presents a computer or new electronic item, they have a few guest hosts who are EXPERTS in their fields - they can describe everything and every function of the laptop you are considering to purchase (because you don't know how to Google it and find it at Amazon). As this expert tries to chat, the obnoxious host continuously interrupts him - as if there is a competition for "air-time". One particularly obnoxious Hostess just says "Uh-huh" and "Mmm" and "Yes!" after every statement the expert makes. You CAN"T HEAR about the laptop because the HOSTESS is so fat and obnoxious.

I called about 3 or 4 times to make sure that all was okay, not having previously bought anything so important through a TV Shopping Network. I was assured the TV was in the warehouse. On the 19, worried now that I haven't heard from them regarding delivery, I called again, and at first they said the TV was in the warehouse. When I insisted, they said there was a problem at the warehouse. No further clarification was given me. They said that if it doesn't show "shipped" by the 21, they will cancel my order. I emailed their customer care dept, and I got stock responses back. The order was cancelled on the 22, at my express request, because all I could get from them was...nothing. When I didn't receive my order, I checked the confirmation email for a tracking number. While looking for the number, I saw that the address was incorrect. I called the post office to see if the package was delivered and to my surprise it was. I called HSN to inform them that the package was sent and received to and at the wrong address. I explained that the post office personnel said that they couldn't reclaim the package (which makes sense). I was told that they would ship another order out to my correct address.
So great, I'm thinking. Then I get a letter telling me that I am responsible for the misdelivered package. I called to inquire about the non-and sense letter and was told I would receive a call back from another department in a few days in response to the letter. No one called and after 6 days of calling I was finally told that the second charge has been removed from my account. After a total of 10 days I received my package.
I'm just glad I didn't opt for the recurring shipments. I can only imagine what errors would have been made! I did stumble upon their channel a few nights ago - they changed to channel 3 in area (smart choice on their part). I ordered another item my phone because the incorrect address was still attached to my phone number and therefore I could not place the order through the TV. I thought about it and the countdown was on for my item so I called to place my order. I asked the rep to confirm the mailing address and it was still wrong. I corrected her and three times during the call I had her confirm the correct address.
Needless to say, the item has yet to ship. I realize that I'd do better researching the item for a decent price and ordering from another company. Amazon hasn't failed me yet with over 25 orders placed in the past two years!

But when I called HSN to inform them of the bad shipment that I've received, they promised that they will take of the matter and even cancel their defer payment. But no, that was far from the case. THAT REALLY HAVE NO PRACTICAL USE since no instructions except multiple code it seemed for each and every app including SKYPE which I really wanted & need. Could not get sign on. Just kept bring back to #777777. I THEN CHANGED ALL MY SECURITY INFO, BANG the number 7777777 still there. Can't go any further.
3 different techs helped. Cluster program, disc programs, Acer, Microsoft so I could have codes... WHAT! Then the screen has a ghost usually peeks out from the right side that gives options, but if you're not fast enough it disappears before the cursor arrives, disappearing. Wow, get it if I get lucky. I have no way it seem to control it simply. If ACER came with simple instruction instead all the "SMOKE & MIRROR" ON THE SHOW THAT DUPED ME, I may have been satisfied after all. I purchased an HP Pavilion 6/g series notebook for my daughter in May for school. Three months later, when she opened it up, the screen (monitor) was all scrambled, full of lines, like cracks internally. It's completely unusable. I called HSN and was told they couldn't do anything about it. I'm a single mom and had to use their flex pay plan; otherwise I couldn't afford to pay the total amount at the time of $600, which was still a hardship for me. I will never purchase anything from HSN again because they do not stand behind the products they sell.

I purchased a laptop computer two months ago and I purchased the three-year maintenance agreement with it. Their website says the agreement will be mailed within 3-5 days. Two weeks later, it had not arrived and thus began a series of calls. I cannot know if it covers all I expect until I read it. I was told to wait a week or two. It has been two months plus and still nothing. Now the agreement company tells me they never send it prior to 30 days, which is the time you can return for a full refund.
When I questioned customer service, the male operator was flippant and said it won't cover what I am interested in but it is too late to return. I spoke with his supervisor who was even ruder. They did not care at all and I expressed disappointment in HSN not backing a product fairly. I cancelled my account and they made no attempt to resolve the problem. I won't order anything again. Now my mom is trying to order from them and they have cancelled her account for no reason, probably because I am her daughter. These people are treating me as if I have stolen from them or not paid them.. I need to shop from my house as I am semi-handicapped but more than that, they have insulted me when they know I pay them ahead of time. Someone should look into this, evidently no one is. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes as far as orders and shipping problems go. It's like they're saying to you, "Sorry it's your problem, deal with it." Which is rude and unprofessional and I don't want to deal with a company like that. Won't be ordering from them anymore. Once was enough.

Ordered a 47" Westinghouse TV for my husband for Father's Day. Received it and set it up. After a couple of days noticed a spot on screen. Called Westinghouse and described it and was told it was a defect and that I should send it back to HSN. So I called them to get the procedures and they told me they were sold out and were going to contact manufacturer to see if they could send one to exchange. I returned the TV on a Monday by UPS and called them and this time they told me they had some TV's in stock and as soon as they would receive the TV back to the warehouse they would send one out to me. So UPS showed the delivery to be back to them on Thursday.
Called on Friday and they said yes they received back the TV I had sent but they didn't have anymore TV in stock; they had sold out. So again I get told that someone is working in contacting the manufacturer to see if they can get one. So I wait again till the end of the week and they tell me "No we are sending you a refund check." I told them I didn't want a refund, I want a TV. This is not my mess up, it is yours. Asked them if they could replace it with another and they said No. This company has no sympathy or consideration for their customers. I will never buy from them again. I purchased a Samsung TV and was very excited but a week into enjoying the TV, it stopped working properly. I wanted to keep it but it had too many issues. Samsung says I should not be having those issues with the TV and suggested I have HSN replace it. I called HSN and it started off great. Then Senior Account Manager said, "We are sold out." After escalating the issue, they decided to offer 2 different replacements which were the older version than the one I purchased... I refused both. Then they offered another TV which was great and discounted the item.
Since HSN did not know when they would get it, I proceeded to order the TV. I started calculating the Taxes and what were my monthly payments and initial payment amount. The taxes on the item were $40 higher and the initial payment for $200 more than their amount. I asked the Senior Account Manager to tell me how they were getting those amounts and all they would say was the system does it for them. I thought it was strange that training on HSN system, the trainer did not break it down for them. I continued to push for an answer and finally she said that the system used the original price instead of the discounted price and this was after 3 calls. HSN taxes should be calculated according to the state the customer is in and on the discounted price.
On the fourth day, I started calling again. A representative was told to tell that she had left for the day. I was transferred to another Senior Manager which placed me on hold for over 5 minutes. She said that she had to get everything together. I laughed because the Senior Account Manager that had left was helping the other Senior Account Manager. What they did not know is I will utilize the Consumer Agency so I concentrated on the Florida agencies for resolution. With assurance of the agency, I placed the order and they will follow-up. I'm still waiting on a call from their Escalations Department.

I've been with HSN since 2007. I've shopped every year, every month, every other month and have spent so much money money on them through the years. Just this past year in October 2012, I was doing early holiday shopping for my family, friends and special people in my life. However, a lot of my orders that I've ordered came damaged, leaking, broken or just torn (broken, empty boxes). I had my order that was left by UPS totally empty and nothing was in it. I contacted HSN in. They had me on hold, switched me from service rep to one supervisor to another for two hours. Finally I was told that in order for me to get a full credit for the order, I need to file a police report and call UPS. Then call HSN back to give them the police report number, and they can process my refund. I did just what they told me so and was told by the account manager that HSN will credit me for the order I never received. That should be the end of that.
Three weeks later my bank card was charged for the orders over and over again by 8-10 times. The same day I received in the mail a total of fourteen letters from HSN telling me that if I do not return my order back to HSN, I will be charged for the third installment by the end of the month. Again I called HSN back and spoke to more than ten service reps and account manager. They said they will take care of the matter and I will not be charged again. I since have called every week to HSN. They again told me to fax my police report and send a copy of the report. Then and only then will HSN refund my money, although they have told me weeks before that it was taken care of.
After calls and calls from October 2012 to the weeks into December 2012, once the account manager finally cancelled that order and refunded me my money. Although my accounts was charged with so many times and overdrafted my funds. I've asked HSN to put a notice on my account that I have a problem with the account, so please respond to me by phone or email to let me know of any unauthorized charges. I then went under radiation treatment for cancer and was very sick. In February 2013 and March 2013, I was feeling a bit better and had authorized the nurse staff, who cares for me, to order products from HSN. I will pay for it.
I was told by my nurses that a lot of orders were broken, leaking and was not sealed at all. I told them to return and I do not want any gifts ordered to be unhappy purchases. Again, an order was returned to HSN. To my surprise, the nurses told me two weeks later that the same box/order is back from HS. It now was even more damaged and leaking all over my front porch. I checked my tracking number and it stated that it was in HSN's warehouse. I then called my post office and asked if they can help me with this matter. The manager at the office checked that the package was returned by me to HSN, and that all the information it has. They were questionable of how the package should be at HSN's warehouse, but somehow had a new label. They sent it right to me again for the second time.
The postal manager advised me to call UPS and have taken the package so that I and UPS can track the package. I did so, along with calling and calling HSN. I spoke with so many representatives, account manager and was told that there was something wrong with the order and the return was not in the same condition as it was first sent to me. You need to call the security department. Then from the security dept, they told me to call the manager who blocked my account. I called and called. The man messaged me, but he never called me back. Then the end of February 2013 to April of 2013, HSN never once called me, never once emailed or sent me one letter to inform me what was wrong with my account.
In May 2013 I called back and asked to speak with a manager. A woman came on and told me that she was the account manager. She told me my account was closed and a manager had reviewed it, and had closed it. "Is there any other business that you have with HSN today?" This is my story and it happened to me in such a bad way, which left me asking HSN... Where is your customer service? Where are my rights as a consumer? What happened to my account, which left my lost? I questioned the nurses that care for me if they abused any orders or returns, but I will never know because HSN felt they don't need to contact any customers for any reasons. They just close your account with NO REASONS given and that's the end of that.
This is wrong. This is not what they claimed when their host repeatedly said on air everyday..."If you're not happy for any reasons. If you changed your minds, even if you used up the whole bottle and end up with the empty jar, we will be more than happy to refund you your money. We here at HSN wants you to be happy at any thing you purchase from us. So for any reason you're not happy, just send it back to us and we'll take good care of you." This was not the case. HSN failed again and again to do the right thing. They abuse their power and caused me many months of jumping hoops, many phones, emails, overdrafts and charges on my account again and again, when the matter should have been closed.
Whenever any HSN employees tells me not to worry and they will take care if, they NEVER did. Worst was when I sent my returns to HSN and it arrived at their warehouse. HSN just reprinted a new label and resent it back to me, forced me to keep the products that were leaking, broken and smelled. Then they just closed my account all together??? Still today I never found out what happened to my account - what went wrong or even who did what and why. It was closed without any notices.
Shame on you HSN! Shame on the lies and the abusive power over your longtime customers. People should have a choice and consumers should have their rights to know what happened. HSN felt they should give me any form of communications or services. Shame on HSN for taking my money, but giving me nothing but pain and bad services, if any at all.

I returned a dress using their smart return label on Feb. 28th. Every day I checked on it and finally on March 7, 8 days later, HSN told me the post office scanned it in Chicago where I live. Why was it still there 8 days later? They then said it was insured and I shouldn't worry, but they insisted that even though it was in the post office possession, that I would continue to be charged until they received it in their warehouse. And if they ever did refund me, I would be rebilled if it never arrived in the warehouse. Now they can see that the item is due to be delivered to them today, and I am told they still are not going to reimburse me for this item unworn and with the tag still on it. If they acknowledge that I haven't had it, then why are they making me wait for a refund?
I have had some other bad experiences with them. The customer service people are often arrogant, condescending and smug, talking to you in sing song voices as though they are speaking to a child. I read quite a few reviews on this site as well as Pissed Consumer, and I recognized some of the stories told. I love Andrew Lessman vitamins, but I also am not shopping with HSN anymore. They implied that my account had been flagged not to issue me refunds. Why? Because I spend thousands of dollars with them, and I assert my right to ask for a refund two weeks after I have returned an unused item? They have dropped the ball one too many times.

February, 2012, I purchased a Hoover Upright from HSN and the day it arrived about a week later, it didn't work. We called HSN and they said, "Call Hoover! Hoover was unable to solve the issue by phone, so they said they would send a FedEx Label via email to pick it up which they did. But they sent a link rather than the label and after printing, it disappeared.
Three weeks later we had heard nothing. So, we called Hoover who amazingly only showed they sent us a label but didn't have the label number verifying it had arrived. They could not help me. I called HSN and told them I was getting ready for my first payment on a vacuum cleaner I never got to use. They said, "I hope you get that resolved." After many frustrating emails later, they determined that even though I had done exactly what they told me to do, they would not help me solve this issue and I could continue to pay for the vacuum cleaner I don't even have.
They refused to investigate Hoover or FedEx on my behalf, even though towards the end they said they would. The next call, the man was very rude and said that because I went to Hoover instead of them, it was my responsibility (bear in mind that that was exactly what they told me to do). On October 31, 2012, I placed an order with HSN that totaled 6 line items. I received the initial shipment from HSN (shipping time impacted by Hurricane Sandy), but it was missing 2 of the 6 items ordered. After waiting an appropriate amount of time to see if the missing 2 items would be shipped separately, I contacted HSN customer service. A very pleasant representative took my complaint and promptly shipped out the missing 2 items (which had already been paid for, but not delivered). Fine. Issue resolved by early December 2012, or so I thought. Then on February 9, 2013, my credit card was charged for the 2 missing items from the original order (paid for at the time of the original order) resulting in my being charged twice for these 2 items. This was done with no notice from HSN by phone, email or USPS mail.
Is it legal for any company to simply charge for items identified by the customer as short-shipped several months later with no notice? HSN was aware of the short-shipment and rectified the problem by reshipping the 2 missing items. Why then months later would they charge my credit card for these 2 missing items, especially without contacting me about it first? I'm sure they conducted an internal investigation and even contacted the shipper, but how would the shipper know if all the ordered items were delivered? I'm not claiming the shipment didn't arrive, but I am claiming that the order arrived without all the items originally ordered (short-ship).
I did receive the 2nd shipment of the missing items from the original order. 2 months later and with no notice or advance communication, my credit card is charged for these 2 items (again). Of course, I contacted customer service immediately upon noting these charges on my credit card statement and demanded that credits be issued immediately. I was politely informed that my request would be sent to customer accounts and if they had any questions, they would call me. A minimum of 5 business days is required to process my refund request at customer accounts and then additional time is required to process the refund to my credit account.
Does HSN have the right to charge me for items previously identified as short-shipped without any prior explanation or notice? Why did they reship the 2 items missing from the original order without charge in December if there was any question? The whole thing seems to be a very liberal use of my credit card under less than forthright circumstances. As soon as this issue is resolved and I receive my refund, I intend to cancel my HSN account forever. Seems they cannot be trusted.

Total disappointment all the way! This was a gift for my son for Christmas and it was his only gift. The look in his eyes when he opened this was priceless! First, I was worried that I wouldn't get it on time and luckily, I did receive it on time (not that it mattered). I gave this to him on Christmas Eve so he would have some time to get it together, set it up and play with it because we have 30+ people over on Christmas Day and it's hectic. My son played around with it for maybe 90 minutes because it was late and he had to get to sleep. On Christmas Day, after everything calmed down and dinner was over, he got it out of the box to use it and he couldn't get it to come back on. We tried everything. We even tried searching for help online. Since it was Christmas, there was nothing I could do that day.
The next day, we made some calls and found out this was a big issue with these tablets and several people were having the same problem. So on Dec. 28, 2012, I notified HSN and told them I would be returning it and I would like a replacement. The same day, I took it to UPS because they would be closed the next 3 days due to the weekend and New Year's Day and I wanted to get it on its way. They gave me a delivery date for Jan. 7 which I thought was a long time to deliver it, but what can I do? I started calling HSN to find out what was going on with it once I seen it had been delivered (I tracked the package). They noted the delivery and told me that once it ships, I would see a tracking # on my order so I could track its whereabouts. After another week, still no tracking # so I called and had a live chat with them. They told me they give the warehouse 8 days to re-ship.
I waited another 8 days and still no tracking # or anything indicating it has been shipped yet. Again, I had a live chat with them and they assured me it wouldn't be much longer. I told then that my second payment was due the following day and that I am not paying for something I don't even have. She told me she could back the payment up for a month to give time for me to receive the new one. Twelve days after they received my return, they emailed me and told me that the serial # had been peeled off therefore, they would not be replacing my tablet, nor were they going to refund my money! Are you joking me? I don't know anything about a serial # and that tablet was packed up to be sent back 2 days after Christmas. The item was defective so how do they know there was a serial # attached in the first place or how do they know it didn't peel off with the packaging? What would the purpose be for me or my son to remove the serial # off the tablet? That would be pretty stupid on my part seeing how I knew I had to return it.
Reading all the reviews on this tablet, I think they took a big loss on these and tried to save their **. The point is they had my return for 12 days and I called immediately and they know this tablet came from them! So my son is without a Christmas present and I am out $360. The HSN person took my new address and said she would change it and get the product sent to me. I didn't receive and I called back and was told that HSN couldn't change the address, that I would have to call UPS. I did and UPS told me that I couldn't change my address, that the shipper had to. I went back and forth between HSN (who told me that if they got it back, they would refund my money) and UPS until finally a wonderful UPS lady changed the address for me and it shipped to my new address. I was told they could cancel my order and they could not remove my name or my credit card from their database. I will never order anything else from them and will let all my friends know how they treat customers. After reading all the complaints, it’s only a matter of time before they will be out of business. Some people I have spoken to intend to go Facebook and Twitter and spread the word.
It seems they want money and do not care about their overall customer base. I do not believe that they cannot remove my credit card and name from their database. I have contacted legal advice from counsel to see if I have legal rights and if I can take any legal action against their company in Florida. It does not seem they want to make wrongs to rights and their bottom line is what matters. I requested their corporate office phone and address, and the customer supervisor told me she only had a PO Box. I chuckled and demanded a physical address as well as a phone number. She hesitated and maybe I would not follow up with action one way or another. I do not feel comfortable with crooks having my card number and name in their files, and I will take any action to get it removed legally. I have yet to receive credit on my card from the cancellation.

I ordered a Samsung home theater system (HT-4500) and received it yesterday. I went to Best Buy today to pick up some accessories and noticed that the same model number that I had purchased from HSN looks completely different from the model at Best Buy. I decided to look at the Samsung website and it was the same scenario there as well. Not only did I receive last year's model but I also paid $299 for the old model when the new model is selling for $269 from the retailer itself! Typically, it would be more on the Samsung website. Then I looked at my other options from HSN and realized that they are selling last year models for more than the current model is selling for in stores for most of the products. I do not recommend shopping here unless you do your research!

I have been a customer with HSN since the late 1990s, but this last year here in 2012, it has not been pleasant, especially when purchasing anything electronic. They seem to be more than willing to sell any manufacturer's defective or need-to-move merchandise to their less than savvy customers. As well as playing with dates to lock you in, all I can say is I got duped more than once, so it was time we parted. It is such a shame they are willing to lose long time loyal customers.

I purchase several items from HSN (total of 3), a skirt and a purse by IMAN and a body shaper. The skirt screamed cheap before I could even get it out of the bag so I immediately returned it. The body shaper was "okay" but not worth the price. The IMAN purse, in the course of one week, fell apart. Once you zip the zippers up in one direction, they would come apart in the other direction (and this was with all the zippers on the purse). The purse was cheaply made and of very poor quality but cost over $200 (HSN did not apply the free shipping discount that they promised).
I called the HSN rep to ask to return it, they emailed me a UPS shipping label. I went to check my account for the credit and somehow UPS is not showing the item scanned and HSN is saying that they didn't get it and that it's on me to try to settle with UPS. So, I paid for a purse that I don't have. This was my second time ordering from HSN and my last, never again. They don't care what kind of crap their selected vendors sell to their customers and it is a headache trying to return the defective/poor quality items. This is a very expensive lesson learned.

Finally, on the 10th day after the order was placed, HSN informed me that the order would not be filled. Adios, goodbye. No attempt to satisfy me with an alternative TV. That was a very important factor in my ordering. I could have just as easily gone to a store and bought a tablet and walked out with one in my hands. The customer service clerk was nice but told me that Joy Mangano does not warranty her purses! The HSN return policy says I have to return the purse in 30 days. Since it was purchased in July, I'm out. Joy Mangano is always described as the greatest inventor of our time but she will not warranty her product and neither will HSN. I was ordering some Beats headphones for Xmas, one pair in pink and one wireless pair in white. When I clicked on submit, a popup appeared which told me I had to call their number to complete the order. In speaking with the Customer Service rep, I asked her to change the white pair to black in which she complied. I specifically asked the rep if there were only 2 Beats items in my order, one for pink and one wireless for black. She acknowledged, yes. The next day when I reviewed my order status, the Customer Service rep had added another pink and an additional black onto my order and posted the warranty insurance to the wrong headphones as well.
When I called Customer Service again, they said the items had already shipped from the Beats warehouse and there was nothing they could do to stop the now over $1,000 order of headphones on my credit card with the incorrect warranties. She said she would go against their normal policy and at least find it in her heart to send me a free shipping label to return the items that were in error. However, she also blamed me for placing the order on HSN.com although I was not able to finalize the order and had to call the number that came up in the popup. She also said that because these items ship from the Beats warehouse and not the HSN warehouse, that it would take months to issue my refund.
Are you kidding? I am now waiting for the items I ordered from HSN and will be sending them back immediately with all of the other Xmas shopping items I purchased. It seems they have a problem with me ordering an item, checking it out at home, and returning it to them because (a) it was the wrong size, (b) I simply did not like the item, and (c) it was not exactly as presented on air. The letter said, and I quote, "We value your business, but place an order if you sincerely intend to keep it, or if you keep continuing to see the same return rate, we will close your account. In many cases, we are unable to use the refunded merchandise [not true] and forced to take a loss." I have been a customer for over 10 years, purchased a lot of merchandise over the years, spent plenty of money, and resent this particular letter sent to me. I bought one of their green skillets for approximately $89.00. I ordered from their website in which I had just sat down and registered a new account. I ordered with my PayPal account and they also had my new address as verified. I waited 3 weeks and called them as I had not received the item. The agent informed me that it had been shipped to my previous address (I had moved from there 7 months prior). He said there were two accounts for me in which the original had been opened a few years ago. He said he saw where the problem was and had corrected it. He made an entry that the item was returned so that I could get a refund. He acknowledged that I did order the item using my new address but somehow when it shipped, they had the old address, which is odd because it should have raised a red flag with PayPal because the address they shipped to was unconfirmed.
Now 2 months later, after I thought it was all done and taken care of, they have taken the money back out of my PayPal account as if it is a new transaction! I have spoken to HSN on the phone several times and they tell me the same thing. They said it is my fault that they sent it to the old address and I have to pay for the item. They said that the only way they will refund the money is if I return the item to them! I went to the old address right away but the new tenants claimed that they know nothing about the package. UPS just set it down on the porch and left, so there is no signature. The manager told me they can't refund me if I don't return it.
Well how did the original agent do it? Somehow my statement "I can't pay for it or return it if I didn't receive it" just isn't working. It's my fault because I moved?! They are taking no responsibility in it at all! Funny thing is I tried to find this original account they were talking about and I couldn't find it. I only had one other email account in my life and it said there was no account with that email address and I don't remember ever setting one up on their site. I have ordered things from them in the past, but I can't help it if they didn't update their info when I registered on the site. They said if I had ordered on the phone, then they would take full responsibility. Why is it any different if I ordered on their site? They advertise their site and tell us to use it!

Overcharge in interest: I bought a computer and a printer, and I was paying more than the minimum amount. I was down to about $700 when I made a $300 payment last month. I just got a bill that was about $130 less than the previous balance. When I looked at the interest, it said $157.63. I called, and they told me that when I bought the computer and printer, it was a 9-month promotion deal and that if I had paid it off entirely within the 9 months, I wouldn't have had to pay interest. I checked my previous bills, and there were interest charges on every single one of them. Talk about rip-offs.
I didn't know I was on a 9-month promotion to begin with; otherwise, I'd have paid the entire balance off within that time. But they were charging me interest all the way back to the beginning of the purchase. When I questioned them about the interest I had been paying all along on the account, they had some off-the-wall explanation about the double interest. I will see to it that the balance is paid off and will never ever purchase anything from them again. Talk about double dipping and usury interest rates. I paid interest all this time, and they charged me interest all the way back to the purchase date and wouldn't do a thing about the fact I wasn't aware of it being a promotion. Somebody needs to add this in due to hidden fees and makes the consumer at the mercy of the banks, which awarded themselves with large bonuses and are not really caring about the consumer and how they are scamming us!
This should have been mentioned to me when I spoke to the manager and when the alert came up. It should have been told to me why, instead of having to call Customer Service! I am sad to see all of these complaints, mostly about Christmas gifts and returns. Yes, while it is disappointing to not get the item by a holiday as expected, they also gave me a great idea of printing the info out and including a picture of the item which I did and they were just as excited to open that as they were the actual item when it arrived. No one seems to take into consideration that once it leaves the company you may order from they have no control over the USPS or UPS. So even if they sent the item on time if there was a delay with the mail or UPS, they can’t do anything about that. I have also sent several items back for a refund and never had one problem as they let you keep item in your home for 30 days and also give an additional 15 days to send it back to them.
But I can understand them not taking items back that are several months past that. While you may have things that happen in life as we all do, that isn’t their fault either. They have always been very professional with me anytime I call about an issue. Maybe being nice to them instead of screaming and yelling and demanding you fix this right now is not the way to go. I am sure everyone has heard you catch more flies with honey. So please keep in mind these people you speak with are trying to do their job as best they can. How would you feel if someone called you everyday screaming and yelling at you all day everyday?
