Okay so is it just me or has anyone noticed that when you light the 3 wick candles the wick starts to pop and crackle sending black wick charred pieces all over surfaces/carpet/walls and it's not so easy to scrub out of carpets. I'm afraid to leave the room for a second for fear that it might start a fire. :/

I purchased the scentportable holder and appropriate refills from Bath & Body works for my car. In essence, it is a clip on version of car air freshener. I have used it since last year. However, to my horror, I found it last week with the scented gel melted and dripping out of the sealed container. It dripped all the way down the side of the car stereo on the dashboard and has permanently damaged the dashboard as it also melted some of the paint off the dashboard.

I prefer and so LOVE the Bath & Body Works oil, but after they were discontinued, I had to opt for their Wall Flowers, which is their scented wall plug-ins. I was (am continue to be) extremely disappointed. I purchased 6 different fragrances box sets, along with 4 plug-ins which you need to use the fragrances. I had several Christmas themes scents including several regular scents for after the holidays. Well, I plugged in all four units in four separate parts of my house (LR, Hallway, Bath and Kitchen) and to my surprise, all four units only gave off their fabulous scents for maybe 2 or 3 days. After, the 4 or 5 days, nothing. Not even a hint of a fragrance.

I checked and doubled checked all 4 units, even unplugged, replugged, shook the fragrance, etc. Nothing. They still felt warm, which indicated they were working, I guess, but nothing. I let them all run until empty and refilled all 4 with new bulbs, and like before, 1 or 2 days of nice fragrance and again nothing. I still have them plugged in and still replacing them each time they run out. Also, just note, my plugs were all different. Simple to elegant. Please do not purchase. They do not work. Why did they discontinue their oils? They were most effective.

On Memorial Day of 2013, I decided to try out the Forever Red Spray my sister gifted me with. I took a shower and sprayed myself, arms, legs, stomach and neck. The following day, there were a few pimples that I ignored. Later that day into Wednesday, I was a full blown disaster. I looked and felt like someone sprayed me with acid. Doctors said it was one of the worst reactions they've ever seen. Because it was direct contact, I was in constant pain and agony. I went into anaphylactic shock and had to be rushed to the hospital getting an epinephrine shot that left me in seizure state. I was put on every steroid and meds there is for allergic reaction, but unfortunately it had to take its course.

My son wept every time he saw me. So far the healing process is torturous and embarrassing, walking around in 80-degree weather with a scarf and long sleeves every day. The pictures are so despicable; it leaves everyone with mouths open. I'm enclosing the before and after pic of my arm. B&BW is so sorry and offered me a $25 gift card, then a $100 gift card. Really B&BW, like I would use anything from your store ever again. I know that this summer is shot for me because now the healing process has me looking like a leopard. In spite of it all, I must say, Thank God, I did not spray my FACE!!!

I noticed there was a funny looking "wet" spot on the ceiling of my bathroom. Thought it was a roof leak. We checked the roof and crawled up in the attic - no water damage found of any kind. Came back down and realized the damage on the ceiling was directly above the plugged in Wallflower. It was a sticky mess, took off 2 layers of paint, has taken months to dry out in order to be able to sand it down and re-paint. In the meantime, have read numerous other complaints about these Wallflowers taking paint off furniture, floors, tile, etc., etc. They should be taken off the market!!!

I have used wall flowers for as long as they have been around. I have new ones I just bought 6 days ago along with new bulbs and some that are a few months old. I know they can burn out over time or be less effective so I buy new plug-ins frequently. Usually they are plugged in, in a open space on a wall or in a bathroom. I notice sometimes they get gunky as the scent disburses and I throw the old ones out.

Anyway, I had a 6 day old one with a brand new bulb also and one that has been plugged in about 2 weeks with half a full bulb that is a couple of months old. Both of these were plugged in under different windows in my home. When vacuuming today, I noticed the window ledge look wet or bubbly. I touch it and melted semi-gloss paint was all over my hand and it smells strong of the plug-in. Please note the plug-in IS FACING UP IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION. THE TOP WHERE THE SCENT LEAVES IS ABOUT 6-8 inches from the window ledge...so what is in this scent that is so toxic it can melt paint in less than a week? What the hell have me and my family been breathing in for years? This is scary and I am seeking answers diligently... Please check your plug-ins. This can not be good if the fumes alone can melt paint.

We plugged in a new oil pod into the warmer on the wall on our counter. It was right side up and was working fine. We went on vacation for 9 days, came back and there was oil dripping on the counter a little ways away from the warmer. It was not connected to anything, we were baffled. After looking around, it appeared the warmer oil must've gotten hot and blew up on the top of the cupboard, then was dripping down onto the counter. We tried to wipe this off the cupboard, but it was too late. It appeared to have eaten off the top finish of the wood. We have never had issues with them before, and this was really strange. I will monitor my other ones, but this is probably the last time I use this warmer. I don't like how this got so hot it blew up all over, potentially wrecking personal items or endangering children. Disappointed.

I went to Willow Grove Mall and asked the salesperson for the tiny scented oils by your company or White Barn to put in my heat warmer I purchase from your company. The sales lady informed me they were discontinued, and recommend to get the wallflower refill and cut it open at the top. She said "That's what I do." Got home and did it. Chipped the glass and spilled the oil everywhere, plus my birthday sweater is ruined. She should have recommended the wallflower kit. I would have brought it plus I had a coupon. I'm so disappoint about the discontinuation of the small oils. And may seek online. I will return the other oil I purchased and am unsure when I'll be back. PS. So mad about my darn sweater.

After purchasing Velvet Sugar Body Lotion I applied the lotion to my body after exiting the shower and drying off. The "body" lotion caused a huge rash and chemical burn across my neck and chest. I took photos of the damage to my skin as I needed to ingest medication and immediately wash it off my skin and apply calamine lotion for the intense pain, severe burn, and throbbing itch. There are no allergens listed on the product, nor are there instructions that the lotion cannot be used on any body part including the chest. Please change your packaging to include a list of abrasive ingredients or allergens that could cause an allergic reaction to your customers. Your products are not inexpensive and customers deserve to know if there are any side effects from using your product as well as a guideline to where on the "body" it can be used if not meant for the entire "body" as it says.

I have suffered from an acute reaction- respiratory, neurological and cardiac from exposure to Bath and Body Works lotion. (Respiratory difficulties, angina, coordination impairment, pain, and subsequent migraine, as well as rash). I did not come in direct contact with the product, just proximity to use. I have the P-450 Polymorphism, which is essentially an impaired metabolic pathway related to detoxifying substances...food, medications, fumes and aerosols.

I am very careful about where I go, and very careful what I am exposed to. What I "smelled" was kerosene and/or/diesel and then what smelled like old moldy cinnamon...then BAM. This exposure literally dropped me to my knees and continued to affect me for days. I have two friends who are not chemically sensitive or in frail health who break out in a rash just being in the presence of someone who uses Bath and Body Works lotion product. I thought that was a little over the top until I was recently exposed. I have also noticed a relative's child "act-out" in proximity to a person who was wearing this product. The child was fine and in their normal disposition at other times.

While I appreciate that about a larger number of people "smell" blossoms, fruit, or musk, I "smell" and react to the petrochemicals and altered "natural" substances. I'm an adult, my mother insists she needs to use something because it was a "gift". I can walk away or avoid her and I've learned never to be in the same car with her. I've been able to pattern match and avoid...my heart goes out to the little ones who cannot avoid, and are essentially held captive to this second-hand toxin, while the finger gets pointed to the ones who "act-out" or have "idiopathic rashes" due to these products.

It's ironic...something so dangerous to our little ones is marketed to the people who care for our little ones....our mothers and our grandmothers.

The quality of the 3 wick candles at B&BW has really gone downhill in 2014. They burn too fast, are really smoky when extinguished, and the fragrances are not strong enough to fill a 12x12 room. Even when you light 2 together. The unlit candle smells nice in the store, but when you light them, nothing. I spent so much money on their before Christmas "sales" on candles that didn't smell much more than a cheap-o one you can buy at the 99 cent store. Miss the Slatkin candles soooo much. White Barn is not a replacement at all.

I have been using wallflowers for about 6 months. A couple days ago I bought some new scents. I put one in my kids bathroom and another in my bathroom. Last night my daughter told me something greasy was all over her toothbrush. Sure enough the wallflower in her bathroom that had only been plugged in one day had exploded! The wall has stains from the oils and it ate all the sealant around the edge of the wall.

This morning my husband went to get in the shower and noticed an overwhelming scent and found the wallflower in our bathroom had leaked the entire bulb of oil down our wall and covered the counter and are the sealant around the edges there too. Two different wall flowers, two different scents; both giant failures! We do not have electrical surge issues or anything like that at our house (have yet to replace a light bulb). This is simply a faulty product. I have more than $50 in refills going into the trash because I don't have the receipt and don't want a store credit since I will not be purchasing anything else from BBW.

I love the WALLFLOWERS which is the main reason why I go in there. I have about 6 plug-ins and disperse them all through my home and it smells wonderful! I only go when they are on sale (which is often). I have had the simple "White Conical" ones that you can buy from their website for $4.50 since they first came out and they are still going strong!

While I was in there the other day buying refills I started looking at new fragrance plug-ins. The sweet saleslady came over to tell me which ones were on sale. I said, "Oh, I already have about 6 I bought years ago, I'm just looking." She said, "You know you can replace them when they get old and stop working right?" "No, I didn't." She continued, "Yes, you can bring in your old ones and we will exchange them for new ones. It doesn't matter how old they are and you don't need a receipt." Wow, I had no idea. So, another perk. I won't have to buy new ones when these go out. That's a nice bit of information to know! So, if you're still reading this ASK your local B&BW if this is true. I haven't tried it yet but I don't see why the helpful saleslady would tell me a story. I also love their lotions, body wash, and body sprays. What is not to love about Bath and Body Works? Really? First off, let me start by saying that I have been a loyal customer of Bath & Body Works for well over a decade. I have been stocking up on their seasonal Vanilla Bean Noel products every year for the past ten years and have never had an issue with them until now (but then I'd also never had to deal with their customer service until now).

Last week, during their CyberMonday sales, I ordered my usual Vanilla Bean Noel products, and today I received an email that part of the order was cancelled - the lotions to be exact. I was a bit confused as to why, so I called customer service. I was then told that the lotion was no longer in stock. When I explained that I no longer wanted the rest of the items (because I only placed the order to get the items that were cancelled, and did not want to pay for the shipping cost without those items) I was told that the rest of the items had already been shipped. I then asked if they would honor the price that I bought it for online at one of their in-store locations. I was told that they had no control over this.

I've dealt with a few customer service problems in the past, and this by far, has been the least helpful. Some of their seasonal products are hard to come by, and I was surprised that they would not honor this deal at one of their many locations, considering I placed an order for them. I'm very disappointed, especially considering how much money I've spent over the years as a loyal customer.

I love the Bath and Body fragrance plugins. They are a little pricey but I still buy them because I love them so much. HOWEVER, I feel I have been somewhat exploited as a customer. The plug in receptacles stop working after a short while. As a customer, I don't expect to pay for something over and over like this just to use the fragrance bulbs. The receptacles should last much longer. It seems the company may make the life span shorter just to make customers to buy more often to make more money. They should make enough profit from the fragrance bulbs alone. The older receptacles lasted much longer. I will look for another product all together instead of using the Bath and Body products in the future.

I am so upset with bath and body! I have been a long time shopper and loyal customer however I'm very frustrated with their "mix match mentality" they are moving towards for some odd reason. I feel that this is becoming a "McDonald's" experience when this is their specialty. I went in to buy a couple gift sets in the holiday fragrances and every fragrance I picked up did not have a matching component to it whether it was a hand soap, candle or lotion. This made it very frustrating to try to put something together for our bathrooms (soap and lotion) as well as gift sets for Christmas gifts. When you are paying this much for a high end products in a store specialized for this inquiry in particular I do not feel I should have to mix-match fragrances for gifts or even for my home. Who wants to wash their hands with apple hand soap and then put Christmas wreath lotion on and pay full price for this. No thanks. Very dissatisfied!

We bought a scentportable (one with glitter) and lots of fragrances to go with it. According to bath and body works, the scentportable should be placed on sunvisor and I did. It is poorly constructed, the oils smell nice but don't seem volatile to actually behave like a car scent. Instead, they last forever. They do not come with any sort of instructions on how to use.

On one hot summer in Southern California (where I bought the above items), the fragrance leaks onto our passenger leather car seat and caved into the leather leaving an ugly scar on the seat. Replacing just the bottom seat cover will cost us about $850 replace (I have a 2013 PRIUS). I wish I could sue Bath and Body works to the tune of $1,000 for making a defective product that is not suitable to be a car scent. Unfortunately, I don't keep receipts, which are under $50 and therefore, I cannot sue them without all the proof. I do have my credit card receipt for the purchase I made at Bath and Body works. I would like to warn everybody who will listen, not to buy these scentportables. They are not effective as car scent. I have attached pictures and you can see that the glitter has come off the plastic and seeped into the leather. I have been a B&BW customer for many many years. I've had many experiences with them and have been very happy with them overall. The in-store customer service is wonderful and every store I've been in with the exception of one. (There is always going to be an exception to the rule and I don't feel the majority should be judged by the one bad apple.) The online customer service has also always been great. Most of the products I've used have been worth every penny but having said this B&BW never fails to offer you coupons every time you go into the store as well as in the mail and in your email. This makes purchases pretty affordable. I've read some of the other reviews and the only thing I can say is if you are bothered by the products in such a way that you can't breath, have headaches, etc... you probably have allergies, asthma, whatever and this is no fault of the company. Basically you know what you're buying when you buy a scented product. If it bothers you don't buy it or don't blame B&BW. Be sensible.

The only complaint I do have is that when I have purchased holiday items that malfunctioned (aerosol spray hand sanitizer) and tried to return them, the store could only refund or credit me $1 to $2 despite the $5 I paid. I purchased several of these for gifts and it was embarrassing when they stopped spraying within two or three uses and then the store would only give a pittance back or toward an exchange. Their answer to it was that it was a holiday item. I don't feel this should matter if it is a malfunctioning item rather than an item that someone just doesn't want. Having said this I've learned my lesson on that one and just won't purchase holiday type items any longer and as that's my only complaint. I'm happy to continue being a long term B&BW customer. Especially now that they have the new hands free soap dispenser. I love that they are always coming out with new things! Keep it up guys!!

I have been a faithful shopper of B&BW for many years. I love their products. The last couple of times I went into their store to use a 'gift certificate' they sent me in the mail, there were so many stipulations and conditions it didn't make it worth my while, ESPECIALLY, when I would try to offer to pay an extra 2 dollars for an item I needed but unfortunately was two dollars above the dollar amount they required on the card. I tried to give them MORE money, not less!!

Then, my daughter got home the other day with my free trial size I sent her to get me, she got the lotion instead of the body wash. We were moving and the receipt got lost. I walked in with the lotion, the sales rep saw me walk in with it so it wasn't like I was stealing it, I just wanted to swap it out for the body wash. Unlike most stores where they would just send me on my merry way we had to go up to the register. That was okay, until another associate told me I would have to pay a small difference since I didn't have the receipt for what was an EVEN SWAP!! That did it. I left the lotion AND the body wash on the counter, told them of my recent disturbing history with them and walked out, leaving them to decide what to do with the extra lotion I just gave them. I was pissed.

I wrote to them on their website. I haven't even gotten a confirmation email that they received my complaint. I told them that I work in retail for a smaller company than theirs, we have promotions too and rules handed down from our corporate office to follow, but our store manager is entrusted enough by the company to accommodate a customer when things like this come up. They are a much larger company and should have a way to let their store managers override problems like this. The excuse they gave me that it was because of how their registers were set up is not acceptable. I promptly told them that I will give them 6 months to fix this problem and if it still exists I will purchase my B&BW products on EBAY. That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

Notice the bubbling in the picture (never mind the leaves - it's Fall and everything makes its way into our foyer). We now have to replace the entire floor in our foyer area because there is no easy fix. I realize that these are not meant to be on their sides, but who knew it would ruin a floor so bad? And if the oil does that to hard surfaces that are meant to take beatings, imagine what it's doing to our lungs? This is NOT good.

First off, I would like to state that I am not, nor have I ever been, an employee of Bath & Body Works, just so that there is no confusion and nobody thinks that my "positive" review is due to being affiliated with Bath & Body Works, because I'm not. I have been a customer of Bath & Body Works since it opened, in 1990, for all you ignorant people out there, that is nearing 25 years, and have seen the product lines evolve and change. Some changes were for the good, some, for the bad. I see countless reviews here regarding the wallflower plug ins and people whining like babies about how the wallflower leaked and ruined their shoes, ruined a wall, ruined a leather car seat in their "brand new car" (boo hoo cry me a river, moron!!) ruined the wood in my home, etc.

Let me just say that if you people used the wallflowers correctly and didn't just carelessly leave them lying on its side, it wouldn't leak!!! If you would FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, it wouldn't leak!!! You name the product, you people complain about it!! The most disgusting part of this is you actually blame the company for your misuse and carelessness of a product and then you think that Bath & Body Works owes you something!? You people are disgusting excuses for humans!!

I have personally used EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT that Bath & Body Works sells and besides a small crack in a plastic bottle of the signature collection body wash (in which Bath & Body Works gladly exchanged due to their 100% guarantee), I have never had ANY issues, none!! Since 1990! The following is my list of positives and negatives of Bath & Body Works:

    Positives:
    1. 100% money back guarantee. Even if you do not have your receipt, the company will offer you a gift card for your return, EVEN if it's been used! Used does not mean, use it all up and return an empty bottle for a refund, used means, you "try" a product and the scent doesn't agree with you, so you return it.
    2. Variety. BBW has a huge variety of scents and products for just about anyone's taste.
    3. Coupons. BBW ALWAYS has some type of coupon available. You just have to be smart enough to look for one.

    4. Online delivery. I normally purchase online if I'm not in a hurry and need an item "immediately". This is due to the EXTREMELY POOR quality of customer service in stores! I'd like to deal with those morons as little as possible! I've placed many MANY online orders and they have all come very quickly and most times ship the same day I place an order!

    Negatives:

    1. Price. Although money is not an issue for me, Bath & Body Works IS on the pricey side. Every few years when BBW changes the packaging and claims they have "reformulated" or "added shea butter" to make their products "better", the price ALWAYS increases (aka: goes UP). For example: currently the new packaging has been out since 2013 and the signature collection body wash went up to $12.50 from $11.00. Before this, it was $10.50, $10.00, $9.50, and so on. I am going on the price labels on various bottles I have from years past. I have some favorites that I stocked up over the years so the price labels are still visible. There is no good reason for the price to go up on these items. The new "formula" has also changed the way the products smell.

    2. Customer service. As of the last couple years, I'd say since 2009 or so, the customer service has been steadily going downhill. As of the last year, since 2013, the customer service in Bath & Body Works is declining even faster than ever. This is not just in one or two stores that I've experienced this. It's in ALL stores across the U.S. I can say this because I've been to several stores in Milwaukee, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Phoenix and New York City. I manage to find a BBW store wherever I travel to, because I never take enough body wash or sanitizer with me, and there's always a BBW store nearby!

The best service I receive is normally from college aged kids, you know, those kids who this is just a fun part time job for them and quite possibly their first job ever! The old women and gay men are the very WORST as far as customer service goes!! They either hover over your shoulder and continuously watch you and/or harass/bother you while you just want to browse on your own terms and makes a person feel extremely unwelcomed and like the associates are watching your every move, even though you are clearly not doing anything worthy of being watched for! The employees are very pushy when it comes to new products and just about stick a new product right in your face to FORCE it on you to smell or try it, BIG MISTAKE, Bath & Body Works employees!!

The bottom line? You people need to stop complaining about issues that are 100% YOUR FAULT, not Bath & Body Works fault! Blaming BBW for the wallflower "ruining your shoes" because you carelessly let it leak with your shoes nearby is like blaming BIC because you dropped your lighter on your shoes and the lighter lit your shoes on fire! It is like blaming Neutrogena because their acne cream bleached your favorite expensive sweater even though you were dumb enough to put your sweater on right after you used a product with benzoyl peroxide which bleaches anything it comes into contact with!

You people need to use COMMON SENSE! In all your complaints that Bath & Body Works is at fault because their products did this or that, ultimately, it is YOUR FAULT for not practicing COMMON SENSE!!

For two months I've been having problems with my eyes and have visited the eye doctor three times. No treatment helped my runny, itchy, blurry, buggered up eyes...until...sitting in my car I realized the BBW air freshener was irritating my sinuses, and then I made the connection, immediately pulled over & dumped the air freshener and within 4 hours my eyes felt better and symptoms started resolving. I don't know what is in these things but after taking sick time from work and all the time being miserable, it's not worth it. I will take a stinky car any day over that misery.

Also, some years ago I used cucumber melon body butter given to me as a gift. I applied it nightly. About the same time I was having asthma attacks and it took three weeks and countless doctors & meds to realize I was having an allergic reaction to the body butter. I quit using and within two days the asthma symptoms subsided and eventually went away all together. These products are very harmful to me and probably countless others who don't associate their symptoms with using BBW products. Won't ever buy again.

I love Bath and Body Works and have never really had an issue with any of their products. This complaint is more about the customer service issues. The last time I shopped at a BBW, The sales associate went through the usual spiel trying to get my email and phone number. I told her I already receive emails (I do) and she told me, "There's a points system. You get points". I gave up and just gave her my information. Later, I looked it up. There is some sort of points system, but only on a mobile app, which I don't have and was not even aware of at the time. In conclusion, this was an obvious lie to get my information. I knew that at the time, but my later research confirmed it.

Frankly, I'm tired of giving out the same personal information every time I shop there, just so that companies can get their demographics, or whatever else they use it for. Also, I don't feel very secure giving out my phone number and email address verbally in public. My other issue has been, when the sales associates look at you like you have two heads if you don't want whatever free item they are giving away. "But it's FREE." Umm, that doesn't mean I want it. My overall experience at BBW stores has been overwhelmingly positive. These are just a few issues I've had. The "points" bs was very irritating to me. I don't appreciate being ** like that.

I have been using Bath and Body Works lotion since I was a college student and am now 40. I noticed when they started removing their original fragrances and replacing them with new ones, every once in a while, my legs would itch after a day or two of use. Finally, it got down to only 2 or 3 fragrances that didn't cause a reaction. I went to the store and asked if they had any other complaints. The worst reaction I have is to anything vanilla scented, which is my favorite. Of course, the staff didn't know of any ingredients in the vanilla fragrances that weren't in, for instance, the White Tea and Ginger and Coconut Lime Verbena, which do not cause any reaction for me. Now, almost all of my safe scents are discontinued and every new one I try causes horrible itching to the point I break the skin. So, after 20 years as a loyal customer, I am finally going to have to look elsewhere. I would like to add I have no other allergies Nor have ever had a reaction to any product I have used but this. I can't help but wonder, am I the only one and what the heck are they putting in this stuff that is so irritating??

I'm a big fan of BBW. I know it's a bit expensive, but it's a little luxury and also helps make my guests feel welcome when my powder room has beautiful soap in seasonal scents. The latest collection of hand soaps (not the foaming ones, but the thick ones with scrubbing particles) that we purchased in summer of 2014 were about half the concentration of previous ones. We have older ones still in the house from 6 months ago -- still unopened -- so we used these to compare, and there is definitely more water and less fragrance in the new collection. So basically I am paying double now, since I'm getting half as much soap. Not to mention we would use more bottles (in other words more environmental waste) with the watered down formula. I'm very dis-pleased. Now this seems like more of a rip-off than a luxury!

I know it was older as it's a discontinued scent. Anyhow, within minutes of applying the lotion I felt an intense burning sensation and panicked and hopped back into the shower to get it off ASAP. When I first brought the lotion home it didn't do this but I have had it a few months now. I had shaken it up before I applied it so it was appropriately mixed up. From this point forward I will only be buying the newest lotions and I won't be buying as many of them so they don't sit on my shelf at home too long. I will keep them in circulation from this point forward.

I really love most of BBW products, but in the last year I've noticed a definite change in the quality of their products. It all began when they "reformulated" (read: cheapened) their body lotions and shower gels. They supposedly included shea butter in all these new products and even put a new top on them to indicate the newly reformulated products.

I immediately noticed a difference in the absorption of the body lotion and I didn't like it. So, I only buy the older products from their online sales. I don't bother to go into the store any longer. In an effort to bolster their bottom line, they cheapened almost all of their products and, of course, kept the prices high. For me, if the quality isn't there and the company charges outrageously high prices, I look elsewhere. I predict BBW will only be an online retailer very soon.

The picture below is of BBW products I have purchased in the last 45 days. I enjoy every collection from hand soaps and shower gels, to wall flowers and candles, to true blue and aromatherapy. Yes, there are some scents I could care more or less for, but Bath and Body Works makes a great product nonetheless. My house smells great, my car smells great, I smell great and my skin always feels great.

I use True Blue hand cream, foot cream and cracked heel treatment and would recommend these items to anybody because they do have that desired spa quality. I have very sensitive skin and have lived with dermatitis all of my life. I never have problems with BBW lotions or body creams and the Aromatherapy luxury bubble baths are the only bubble bath products I can use without breaking out in a rash, it's a plus that they smell amazing and relaxing as well. I grew up in a family that loves Bath and Body Works products and I have used these products all of my life with no complaint.

Let me start by saying that I worked at bath and body works and long before I worked there I purchased their products, therefore my opinion is not biased. Anyway, I can't even begin to describe how ridiculous you all are for complaining about the wallflower when YOU'RE the ones not using it correctly. For starters, why would you EVER think that putting something that is open with oil in it down on it's SIDE was a good idea? It never occurred to you that this was going to spill everywhere? It has nothing to do with bath and body works products and everything to do with your stupidity. You don't think the glade ones would damage your varnishes either? Let's be real here. There's no warning label that they could put on the wallflower to prevent stupid from happening, unless they literally put on there "please do not buy if you are stupid and do not know how to use this properly."

For those of you crying about how the scent portables have ruined your perfect leather car seats, I have had my scent portable since last winter and I've been buying and using them for years and this has NEVER happened to me, so again, I can't imagine how one could even achieve such idiocy. Again, sorry but it's you, not the product. And finally, you don't just break out in hives or what have you from fragrant lotion unless you have skin issues or sensitive skin to begin with, in which case why the hell wouldn't you do a patch test before smothering it all over your body and then blaming bath and body works for your skin reaction. Common sense goes a LONG way people. Try using it, maybe you won't have so many complaints.

Once you unwrap the clear plastic and remove the lid, make sure that you are inserting the bulb correctly and plug it into the wall upright. The oil/chemicals inside bulb will eat plastic/counters and wood finish, so be careful! As far as the fumes/fragrance, there is a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee if you don't like the product or you are not satisfied with it. The plug itself has a guarantee of a yr to be replaced. However it is important to replace the bulb before it burns out. It is good to save the caps also. If you get tired of a fragrance you can cap it and use something else. I have been a good customer with this Bath and Body Works for well over 20 years. My little boy just took his first steps in your store. I'm on first name basis with most of the staff and consider them friends. I suspect our problem began when I began making some candle returns and there was a discrepancy over whether I was able to use a store coupon.

The person handling my complaint is one of my closet friends, but it was not able to be agreed upon. She left me standing at the counter with 2 of my children and went to the back. After 15 minutes of just standing there and her not returning and the other 3 associates ignoring us, I was forced to leave my $65 purchase sitting on the counter, much to my 11 year old daughter's dismay.

It was her birthday and she had birthday money to spend. I went to the nearest BBW and they accepted my coupon, no questions asked. My daughter's day was saved. Two weeks later, we revisited the first store and it seemed all was forgiven. The ladies were nice and helpful. However after 5 minutes in the store, 2 mall security men came in and went to speak with the manager, they stayed for the remainder of my visit which was 20 minutes and left 10 seconds after we did. I didn't realize it, my children were the ones who brought it up.

After a few weeks, they mentioned that every single time I go into this particular BBW that security shows up, stays the whole time I'm in there and leaves seconds after I do. I thought that it was just a coincidence seeing that I had never been in trouble with the law in my life and I considered them to be like family. So from then on, I made it a point to watch when I'm in the store and sure enough the same thing happened again. I feel targeted and actually I feel stalked. This has upset my 11 year old daughter to the point of her having trouble sleeping.

She will ask me not to go back in there. She said she was afraid that I would be arrested! The security men also scare my 2 year old when they come up to us and begin following us. He has cried on occasion. I am very upset to say the least. I never did anything to deserve this treatment and my children certainly haven't. I feel like we are being discriminated again, or at the very least, harassed.

I have been a great customer for 20 years and now I am afraid to go anywhere near this store. Nothing that happened the day I came in with my children on my daughter's birthday warranted this type of retaliation. I just told the associate that I didn't understand why I couldn't use the coupon they gave me and asked her to explain it. She's the one who started acting strange to us by leaving us there alone and never returning. Thank you for letting me tell my story. Up until now only my family knew. It really has bothered me a lot. Thanks again.

You should know that I am an avid shopper at B&BW; keep on hand at all times hand soaps, Spa Blue, room sprays, anti-bacterial hand gels, fragrance mists, body creams, and yes...the Wallflower! And it is this Wallflower that has me wondering... Am I the only one suffering migraine headaches that could be attributed to this product?

In the past six years, I have almost continually had this product plugged in to various areas of my home... with a wide range of scents at one time! For the same period of time I have battled migraine headaches. I have spent major $$$ on prescription medications for the h/a, as OTC products are of no use! I've had MRIs, CTs, and X-rays to rule out tumors or sinus problems, hormone levels have been checked! I have also experienced burning sinuses, sore throats, memory lapse, and I generally don't feel good most of the time! All of this has me wondering... If the ingredients in the bulb can eat through shopping bags, paint, wood, ruin fabrics and leather...what might it be doing to me? Am I alone?

So I unplugged it and put it on the table. Somehow it flipped on its side, maybe someone moved it without noticing, and it's leaked. Some of the stuff got on my new favorite shoes... They got ruined!!! Then I put it next to the window. After few days I was cleaning it and noticed that paint got bubbled and melted under that thing, made a hole through the wood.. I wonder what that molecules of this stuff can do to my lungs when I breathe them in...

I have been a loyal customer for years and never had a problem with their products. Looking on here I have seen people have had problems mostly with wallflowers. The correct way to use one is having it right side up, having the bulb upside down or on a coffee table sideways makes it leak in, no fault to the company that is you're doing. You must have the bulb facing up, and if you have a power outage or you let the bulb run dry that can damage the plug in. You also must unplug it, let it cool then put a new bulb in. This is an insider trick. Those plug ins should last a year - anything longer than that is great, anything less than that is either poor quality or mistreating of the wallflower. The photo I am including is a wallflower I have in my home and I've had it for over a year and it works amazing.

The Halloween line is basically pretty much non-existent anymore, and THIS YEAR sheesh talk about a super climb in prices and again, the scents are not even that good. I used to go to BBW almost 2 times or more a month. Now I barely go because each time I hear of a new scent and go to try it out. I am seriously unimpressed! $3 for $10 on MINI-CANDLES!? 3 for $12.00 on mini travel body care and now the full size body care is up to between $12 for body lotion and $14.00 on body sprays!!! I'm not trying to sound like I'm super cheap, but I appreciated their old prices especially due to us all living in this struggling economy. I'm not sure what has happened to the Bath and Body Works Wallflower units but seems they burn out usually within a month... I'm lucky that I can get 3 months use. I've been buying this product for YEARS and believe it or not, have some of the same units from 7 or 8 years ago that STILL work. Lately (probably for the last year), I've found that they often burn out sooner than the fragrance bulb lasts and that's very concerning to me at $8.00 or more per unit. I have a 7500sqft house so I don't have just one or two units I buy. I literally have probably 10 units throughout my house - I love to change the scents seasonally. People joke about how many fragrance bulbs I have stored in my linen closet (an entire shelf is nothing but bulbs and candles).

Unfortunately because I do have so many units in this large house, I can't continue buying new units so frequently so I will have to look towards another product that will last. Reading the complaints, it's apparent and blatantly obvious that there's a problem with the manufacturing of these units. Sure wish BBW would listen to their customers and fix the problem because they have the biggest selection of fragrances out there. However, I recently bought something similar to Wallflower at Yankee Candle and have been VERY satisfied thus far... fragrance even seems to last longer than BBW but perhaps it's because their warming units WORK!

First off, I am a former employee of BBW. I was there for just a year so I know quite a lot about the place... the good and the bad. I will try to be nice seeing as my parting with the company was not the greatest so there are some hard feelings but I have seen so much on here I feel like I could be some help. So to all you people who talk about products not working or being too smelly (strong), here's my advice. Anywhere you buy a product, it may have a malfunction or just doesn't work. IT HAPPENS EVERYWHERE!

If it does with this, the good thing is you can take it BACK! Oh, and if the smell is too much, TAKE IT BACK TOO! Who cares they are the dummies who have a 100% policy! Oh and also with the smells, TRY IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT! Most stores who sell beauty products have testers! SO USE THEM! Trust me; the worst thing is to not try something and then have to drive all the way back to find something else. Make it easier on yourself!!! Now to the return policy... YES, they have 100% refund policy BUT that doesn't mean you abuse it. If you have had it for a year or more and it's half gone, yeah, they are going to be a little upset because you're getting a brand new item for free!! And, they have to toss the one you bring back! That's right. I said anything used that you return is WASTED!

So if you think you're not going to like it, don't wait; just return it or give it away. BUT they should NEVER be rude to anyone making a return no matter how annoyed or frustrated they may be. Also, I would like to add that just because one store is one way, it doesn't mean they all are!!!! Every store is different (people wise). It all falls back on the management so if you have a problem with an associate there, take it up with them because it's their fault they even work there! That's all I have to say.

They employ their stores with petty and condescending employees who pretend to be your friends to your face then treat you like some kind of a thief behind your back. I spend hundreds of dollars in multiple locations monthly, being open and up-front with each employee. They all know me, and each one has accompanied me with several purchases multiple times a week. When I make returns, I seldom take the time to hunt receipts. After all, 100% guaranteed and all, right? No, wrong. I prefer gift cards so I can keep track of my BBW spending. I'm careful never to spend unnecessary money. I mean, what the heck, whether I pay cash or not, all I ask is for a merchandise credit.

Anyway, I went in the store today and I was informed that I was very close to the no-return list! Seriously, I have everything in that store practically, and every employee knows me and they treat me like a thief. It's inexcusable if this is how they treat loyal customers who have every right to return multiple items when they obviously don't mind me purchasing multiple items, most cases at $80 to a $100 purchases. I am so close to finding every single receipt and returning every single item and see how they like running a store on an empty register. I will not be treated like I have stolen anything from a store I once had so much loyalty and respect for. Your return policy is smoke and mirrors, and your employees are smug, rude, and obnoxious backstabbers. Well, I wasn't happy and I wanted to bring it back, but I guess you don't like customers who just keep recycling their purchases even when you are the ones making the profit, not the customers!!!

My family, which consisted of myself, my brother, his wife and three kids, and my mom walked into the Bath and Body Works in Katy Mills Mall. As soon as we entered, we were swarmed by employees watching over us like hawks. My brother and his kids were at the display counter looking at the items and a couple of employees walked up behind and whispered "Watch these people. They look like the type who steal." My brother’s kids are very well behaved and we gave no impression of wanting to steal. Not wanting to cause a scene, which we very well could have, we walked out disappointed. We will never return; very sad.

I purchased the Wallflower fragrance at Bath and Body Works a few weeks ago for the first time because they were running a special on them. It smelled really good after I plugged it in, but the scent was so strong that I unplugged it after it had been plugged in for a few hours and set it on the table. Well apparently, you are not allowed to set it on any surface because it leaks and ruins any surface it touches. Needless to say, it leaked on my table and disintegrated it down to the bare wood! The liquid ate away all the finishing and all the paint! It was one of the most shocking things I have ever seen. I can't believe this is something that is safe for consumers to breathe in. There is no warning label that states how dangerous this product is and I have never had this happen with any air fresheners in the past. The product is something you plug into the wall, so you cannot set it upright when you unplug it. There is no safety on the unit to prevent it from leaking. I've called Bath and Body Works and they did not seem surprised by my complaint.

I have purchased wall flowers for years and love the scents. But lately, I have noticed that the oil does not last as long as it used to, and I am replacing them quite frequently. I suspect that they changed the formula to add more alcohol or whatever substance might evaporate faster. Also, the devices keep burning out. I thought it was very interesting that six of the devices I bought on the same day died within a couple of weeks of one another at almost one-year mark. The store would not take them back until I complained to corporate headquarters. In the store, they first told me they only guarantee them for six months. I am now thinking of going for a cheaper Glade or other product very soon.

3 wick candles burn terribly, drown in wax. I have bought at least 15 of the 3-wick candles in the last couple years, since I enjoy many of the scents. It never fails that they barely stay lit due to excess wax. I guess I always hope for a better batch, but it's a reoccurring disappointment. As instructed by their staff, I never trim the wicks and I burn them for a couple hours at a time, so as not to create a small well around the wick that may create this problem. Why can't they get it right? I've heard many people share this same complaint, but their store staff act like they seldom hear of this. The small, single wick candles never have this problem, but they're not as practical for frequent use.

I bought a Wallflower for my daughter's bedroom. It was plugged in and my husband felt it and thought it was too hot to leave plugged-in for long periods of time. I took the Wallflower out of the socket and put it on the window sill. It leaked onto the painted window sill. I noticed that the paint was bubbled up and gooey and the chemicals have totally ruined that window sill paint. I ran with the Wallflower to the bathroom counter top that is cultured marble. I put it on there while I attempted to clean up the window sill (which the paint just rubbed right up when I tried cleaning it up). The Wallflower, in the mean time, continued to leak onto the counter top. It is so potent of a chemical that a plastic green comb started to dissolve!

There was green stain on the counter under the comb where it had literally took the plastic layer of the comb completely off!!! I wiped this up and luckily, the counter top was not stained. A day later, I noticed that some of the Wallflower chemicals had ran down the front of my custom made bathroom cabinets. I saw the bubbly texture and as soon as I tried wiping this up, it took the finish and protective layer of polyurethane completely off!

This product ruins whatever it touches, and they want to plug it in the wall? If it can dissolve these tough finishes, it surely has to be flammable. I am complaining, because they do not make consumers aware of the damage the liquid can do to your house and furniture. There is no way to fix the cabinets as they were custom made and painted, and I can not even begin to match that color as well as it would have to be taken out of the bathroom and refinished in an environment that would allow the layer of polyurethane to go on evenly.

I feel that Bath and Body Works should be responsible for informing consumers of this risk, and I feel that they should pay for the damages their product did to my home. I just read numerous other complaints on this site, of the same product doing similar damage to other surfaces it touches. This is not the type of product that they should have people heating up in their homes. Other manufacturers have to give consumers warnings, how can this one keep on letting consumers ruin their homes and furnishings, without their making us aware of the potential damages? I never would have bought nor used this product if I had been warned and informed. Maybe this is why they keep getting by with it? So they can continue to make a profit. I paid maybe $20 for their product, and now have about $1000 in damages/repairs from one product alone. Please advise.

I have purchased wallflowers from BBW for over 15 years, people would walk in my house and want to know what "the beautiful smell is." About 1 year ago (11-30-10), the wallflowers no longer put out any smell when I replaced the smelly part.

The Store in West Jordan UT (Jordan Landing Shopping Center) told me that they were fazing out the white tulip design and I needed to replace them with the new design that took the new style oil. I purchased 2 (they were quite pricey) and they worked wonderful. At Valentines Day, I went back to purchase more, however they had been discontinued! They had dozens of new smells that fit the white Tulip plug-ins. I was told to go smell the candles if I wanted to know what the new smells would be. They were wonderful, so I purchased 6 for $20.

I took them home, replaced the old smells with the new---not one of them gave off any smell! The new oil apparently does not seal as well as the pre 2/14/2011 because the oil ran down the walls and bubbled the pain in my new house.

They will never get another dollar out of me. I feel their practices have become very deceptive and their prices are inflated, so they can have sales that results in the same profit margins. At the same time, their products quality have been compromised.

What an insult to return an item. I received a warning after 6 returns. So, I returned or exchanged a few items, amounting to almost $30.00. Two returns items did smell like soap instead of scent.

Other items, I changed my mind. What an insult for this company, to hire a contractor to monitor returns, and they take your driver's license. I think many of their items at discounted prices are expired. With the competitive atmosphere as is, I would suggest to Bath and Body Works to drop this return authorization contractor. I wanted my money back due to my mom having cancer and cannot handle the smells of perfume. I spoke to a girl named Emily and asked for my refund. I had my receipt for almost all my items and I paid cash money for them. She told me that she cannot give me my money back, that Bath and Body Works do not give cash back on anything. I proceeded to tell her that I was just there on 12-20-11 and received a refund from her, and she pretty much called me a liar in front of a lot of customers, and half of the customers there are my customers in another business.

I do not appreciate her being so loud and pretty much calling me a liar. I asked her to look up my last refund and she said there was no way to do that. I remember clear as day Emily checking me out and giving me a refund on 12-20-11, even though she did it under someone else’s log in. She did in fact give me a refund for $49.31, and in return I didn’t leave the store that. After she gave me my refund before I left, I saw some things that I wanted to buy so in return I purchased $74.90.

I have spent a lot of money in their store and I know for a fact that when you buy something and pay cash there, you get a full refund with receipt. I pointed out to Emily that on the back of the receipt it says with original receipt, that exchange or refund will be provided and she just kept telling me that I was wrong, that I was getting a refund on a merchandise card. I didn’t want to purchase anything in there today. I rather had the cash so I can give it to my mom so she can buy something she liked for Christmas because she can’t buy scent stuff because of the chemo and it makes her sick with the smells. I am sorry to complain and this is the first time ever I have made a complaint anywhere. I would just like to be apologized to and receive my cash refund so I can give it to my mom before her surgery on 1-5-12, so she can buy what she wants. Shannon from the Northtown Mall in Spokane, Washington helped me in the transaction. A friend and I were shopping during the semiannual sale. When I approached the counter to check out, Shannon kept asking me questions, like "You didn't just bring these in, right? You aren't asking for a refund, are you?" My reply was, "No, I actually want to purchase them. " She then said, "Oh, because you people don't usually shop here." I said, "Excuse me?!" She said, "Oh, um never mind, I meant something else. Will this be cash because I need 3 pieces of ID if it's on a credit card?"

A white friend of mine was with me and she said, "Excuse me! You have never asked for 3 pieces of ID when I use my credit cards! Why is she (meaning me) being asked for something that I was never asked for?" Shannon just looked at her and looked at me and said, "Well, um that's okay, I guess and I hope I don't get in trouble for not getting those pieces of ID." We left that store disgusted! I told my friend that at the store in Kennewick, Washington, they are just as racist. My friend and I will never shop at Bath and Body Works again! If you are white, they love you! If you are not white, they will show you the door!

On 1/29/10, I sent the following email complaint to Bath and Body Works customer service: I have been looking at products listed as clearance items on the website. I first saw the True Blue Morocco line on January 4, 2010; when I added 4 tubes of scrub to my shopping cart, but I did not check out. I checked back again on January 23, and found that the items were significantly discounted, so I added a few more things to my shopping cart. Still, I did not check out, because I went to check in the store to see if the products were available there. I figured I would save on the shipping that way. The sales associate told me the line is no longer offered in the stores, it is a discontinued collection and that is was probably only available on the website.

I am expecting a $15.00 gift card from BBW, as credit for a problem that I incurred in one of the store locations. I had planned to use this card towards my on line purchase. I have been checking my shopping cart almost daily since the 23rd, to make sure the items are not out of stock, while I wait for the gift card. When I checked in today (1/29/10), all of the prices have increased to double (or more) what they had been. I was shocked! It has been my experience that clearance usually means the price decreases over time, until all of the stock is gone. Come on BBW- you are probably tired of hearing complaints from me, but this just seems unethical! Clearance/discontinued items should remain discounted until the supply is depleted.

I am still interested in making my purchase, I have everything saved in my shopping bag, and I would like to know if the lower clearance prices can be applied? I really love BBW products. I purchase them regularly, a lot of times at regular prices. The few times a year I happen to catch a great sale I try to stock up. I want to continue shopping here. I truly hope you will correct the situation and the pricing. Thank you, again, for your time.

And in return I received this email as an explanation: "Thank you for your email regarding sale prices on our merchandise. Bath and Body Works.com is offering selected merchandise as "clearance" or "discontinued". The merchandise is offered at a significantly discounted price, then when consumers show an interest and there is a demand for the products; the price is suddenly increased in an effort to collect more money for Bath and Body Works. This is economically damaging for consumers. It is being implied that the items being offered are in limited quantities, and are at the lowest prices possible.

It is common practice for merchants to offer clearance/discontinued merchandise at a steadily decreasing price until the supply is depleted. This is an understandably different situation than the regular line items being offered at a sale price, which would be for a specific period of time and subject to change with or without notice.

Last night my boyfriend and I were shopping around the Bath & Body Works in the Woodfield Mall, I am a seasonal associate for Bath & Body Works and I absolutely love it. I received many customer compliments in my store this past Holiday Season so I thought nothing of it when I went into the store in Woodfield excited to use my 20% off an entire purchase that was given to me from a previous purchase at my home store. I planned on purchasing several of the new hand soaps that we just launched yesterday 1/18/2010.

When I entered the store I was smiling, friendly with the associate who greeted me and began to shop. My boyfriend asked innocently, “Can't you get these at your store?”. I replied.,“Yes, but my store closes at 6 pm. I don't work until Sunday and I am here. I'm not using my discount I am simply using a coupon.” The associate heard me say this and went and got the store manager who was exceedingly rude from the get-go. She began to ask questions like I was a criminal.

“Where do you work?”, “What are your hours at that store?”, “What do they sell there?”, “You can't shop here, you may only shop at your own store for shrink purposes”, etc. I was beyond irate. I said, “So you mean to tell me that my money is not valid here? I am shopping as a regular customer not an employee”. She said, “I don't know what part of this you don't understand. You can not buy anything here!” I was in shock, I could not believe I was being told I could not spend my money there. I said, “That's insane. I'm just a regular customer, I don't want to use my discount I just want to buy these things now so I don't have to go out of my way tomorrow.” She said again, “You may not buy anything here.”

Needless to say I was irate and humiliated, not only did you say my money is not good enough but you also embarrassed me in front of numerous customers. I would never have believed this if I heard it from somebody else but wow, talk about horrid customer service skills. There are 6011 different ways this could have been handled. To make matters worse, when I left the store and walked by a few moments later, she glared at me as I passed by the store like I was caught shoplifting or something. Nice.

My husband and I went to the Bath and Body Works at Willowbrook on Saturday, January 9. At that time the Aromatherapy body wash were on sale "buy two get two free". So I picked up 4 and one small candle which I was told was not part of the sale. The saleslady who told me that the candle was not part of the sale rang up all our items. We left our line and then my husband checked the receipt.

Our bill should have ringed up as follows: 2 Aromatherapy body wash at each and 2 free, plus 1 candle at $9.50. However, as it turns out, the saleslady rang up 3 Aromatherapy body wash at $13 each, 1 free body wash and 1 free candle. This was only a few dollars off but I was curious about the mistake. I asked the saleslady closest to me who happens to be the manager. She rudely informed me that I should get in line and that really upset my husband. We were hoping that because of the mistake, she would be nice enough to correct it right away. But my husband was upset and I was getting upset too because of the woman's attitude. I can't believe she was yelling at us in front of all the customers!

When she had the chance to check the receipt she "showed" us how she has "refunded" the difference. But we pointed out that the receipt did not show a new total! It turns out that made a mistake again but she did not tell us what the mistake was. Neither did she apologize for the error or the inconvenience it caused us. We are not going to shop in that store anymore. I will also warn my friends to always check their receipts, or maybe not shop there. I hope her manager sees this and reprimands her for her bad customer service.

I went into the Concord store on Jan 9th to check out what was new in the semi-annual sale. I saw a product in the 50% off bin. A clerk came over to hover over me and I told her I had bought that product a week ago at 75% off. She went to the store manager and the manager came over to me and stated that product hadn't been at 75% off and she herself had just placed it out Thursday. I don't care what she thinks I was there on 12/29 and the clerk came and dumped a whole box of this product in the 75% while I was shopping.

I don't like some rude clerk calling me a liar. She said she would honor the price if I had my receipt but I didn't keep the receipt. The point was there was no reason for the woman to call me a liar. I will never shop in that store again and I thank her for saving me $30 that day and hundreds in the future. Bath and Body works needs to work on customer relations big time. I wrote to corporate; they don't care. It's a shame one bad employee can hurt sales at a store I'm sure is hurting for business.

I grabbed a towel, put it over the wallflower and pulled it out of the outlet where it lay on my kitchen counter and continued to smoke until it cooled off. Nothing was wrong with the bulb, it was screwed into the port properly, it was not cracked.

I contacted B&BW via email and got a response saying my email was being looked at by a 'higher up' area. I never heard back. On Facebook, I posted a comment on a B&BW post about it and a rep contacted me via FB to help me with the problem, except that I never heard back from her again. Since then, I've contacted B&BW 'contact us' site 9 times and never ever received a response. There were 3 associates working that day, and two of them were checking customers out, and one on the floor. So I went to the front to ask them if I can use the restroom. And one of the associates said that they don't have one. I said ok. Then it wasn't a few minutes later when two white women asked to use the restroom, and the other associate let those two women use the restroom.

So the other associate said if they're going to allow use of the restroom, one needs to form a line. So I said that I was not standing in no line when I asked him first. And the associate who told me that they didn't have a restroom said, "Well, miss, it's not a public restroom." And I said to her that the two women they let use the restroom were from the public. So we had to leave for I can't go to their restroom.

The Monday after Christmas, I called and talked to the store manager named Tammy, and I told her what happened. She told me that she would have been mad. I told her I was black and the other women were white. And I think there were enough associates to let me use the restroom. And I am still angry about this, because no is no and it should have because of color. Also, there was no sign hanging up saying no public restroom.

I went in with my fiancee… happy, hoping to find a gift for someone, and also hoping to get my employee discount (I work seasonally for another store location). I was followed all around the store. I was insulted by the way they watched me as if I was going to steal. And BTW I mentioned nothing of my working there, so I know the techniques they use when they are suspicious, like handing you a bag, asking you tons of questions at every stand you go to, etc.

So, I get to the register and innocently ask how to use my employee discount, as I just started and never used it before. The associate asks me my name and calls a manager up. The manager comes and asks, “Do you have your printout?” I said, “Which printout?” I said all I have is the B&B Visa. She said, “You go to that website.” And her tone, it was so... rude! She treated me like I was lying. She said, “Anyone can come in here and claim discount, but how would I know unless you have that printout?” She said, “By the way, you can only shop from your store,” and flat out said, “You can’t buy that stuff here. You can't shop here.” I just stared at her (the embarrassment - there were people in line listening to the whole thing). And lastly, she says, "By the way, you wouldn’t get any of that stuff discounted anyway. It’s already on sale." I just stayed quiet burning inside. My fiancee ended up paying for the items and we left.

    To Whom It May Concern:
On Saturday, September 19, 2009 my daughter and I along with her friend went to Bath and Body Works in Cedar Hill, Texas. Upon entering the store I heard a loud voice say, “Hey girl come on in”. I ignored the voice and continued to the counter. I asked an associate for help and immediately she came from behind the counter to assist me. My daughter and her friend were looking at the lip gloss. I overheard the same loud voice say to the girls “do you want to get this lip gloss”, and my daughter responded yes, but I have to ask my mom. The same loud voice begins to yell from across the room, “Mama!, Mama!, Mama!”, as I ignored him which now I could clearly put a face with the voice. The man, who I assumed was an employee, approached me while I was being helped already. He said, “Try this Mama”, and I said, “I’m not your Mama”, and he said, “Well you’re someone’s now try this” and he proceeded to apply lip gloss to my lips. I said “What are you doing”? He replied, “All African American women love this.” I said, “How do you know I’m African American?” He said, “It doesn’t matter this is what you need to look sexy and anyways you can pretend all you want, I know you’re a Sista”, meaning a Black lady. I was so embarrassed. My children and customers, as well as employees all stared in disbelief. He continued in the same tone. He said, “So now you’re going to be hard-headed and ignore me.” I tried very hard to act as if this wasn’t happening, but it was IMPOSSIBLE! I was violated and had racial remarks thrown at me several times. I was harassed and felt humiliated in front of my daughter. I asked the associate that was helping me if this guy was the manager since no one else in the store thought to ask him to stop. I was so frustrated and disappointed that Bath and Body hired someone that didn’t live up to their high standards. He was very unprofessional and disrespectful. If this was an approach that he uses to get people to buy or to make a sale, he needs to be trained again. It was totally embarrassing and I’ve never had an experience in my life like this one, especially not at Bath & Body Works, in any state. I couldn’t tolerate his behavior any longer. I left the store without making my purchase, which, by the way, would have been a big purchase since I was shopping for a Bridal Shower and needed several gifts for the games and hostesses. I was so upset that my entire day was ruined. I would appreciate if someone from your corporation would contact me as soon as possible in regards to this incident. Now everything in my room smells of it. My bed sheets and clothes, and even my hair. Even when I go to work, I get that lingering smell from my hair no matter how much perfume I use. I removed it the same day from my room. But I still have that nauseous feeling.

I am sure they used some chemicals that have caused it. It must have definitely given out some fumes that penetrated deep inside my bedding and clothes and my hair. I will be going to the doctor tomorrow to get a checkup. I checked on BBW website, they don't have any phone numbers given and all I could do is fill out a form, which I am sure they will not be bothered about checking.

I am a frequent Bath and Body Works Consumer. lately I have thought of finding new fragrances elsewhere. My time is fragile. I was in the Mall of America Store, the larger of the 2. This particular store sells more specialty products than other BBW stores. About a month ago I was there and asked questions about a certain acne product that is higher priced than most retail store acne products. I asked many questions including what their return policy is. I was told that they guarantee all their products 100% and if it did not work for me than I could bring it back. The BBW host even stated not to worry, even if the product was empty they would still guarantee this product as I explained to her that I need something for my back and chest. I paid for this item at around $38.00.

On 8-13-08 I brought the item back to the store and wanted to just exchange it for something else that might work better because this item did not work for my acne type or just get store credit as in the mean time I had lost my receipt knowing I would not be able to just get a refund. It did not matter to me about a refund because I am, or was, a huge consumer of BBW. I was promised a 100% guarantee. This statement is clearly on their receipts of purchase as well.

The clerk stated to me that she needed to ask someone something. She came back and only would give me a store credit of 10% back. She stated to me that it was over half used and that it should not take a month to figure out if it works and that I should have tried returning the item after 2 weeks. I stated to the clerk that I do not get to the Mall of America that often. She also stated to me that every retail store out there has their policies in place for a reason. She stated to me that I would not be able to buy a pair of jeans from a store, wear them for a week and then try to return them.

I was furious with this. Especially when the clerk encouraged me to take the product home and acted like it was not difficult at all and gave me that cushion to say here, try it. If it does not work we will refund or exchange for something else.

I had also purchased a gift for a friend at the time I purchased the acne medicaton. After the clerk sold the product to me, her receipt printer malfunctioned. I asked for a gift receipt and I was told not to worry about a gift receipt because they will exchange the product of equal value if my friend does not like her gift. They say this with all of their purchases. My friend stated to me that she had a difficult time exchanging without the receipt.

I will never buy or test anything from BBW that requires time to get results. I am contimplatng buying anything at all from them anymore. I am sick and tired of this type of service. Obviously this is just not the clerks policy since she had to ask her manager what she should do.

The use of gas driving 25 miles to purchase this at a larger BBW store and then another 25 miles back to exchange. Not all BBW stores offer this item. Them embarrasment I felt as the clerk scolded me in front of her staff and other customers.

I purchased a wallflower from Bath and Body Works; they are the scented oil dispensers that are plugged into the wall. I sat it down in its upright position, and it must have been leaking. YES THEY LEAK! A GOOD PRODUCT WOULD NOT LEAK! It leaked on to my BRAND NEW cherry bedroom furniture, and when I wiped it off, it had eaten the finish off my dresser! It left an indentation the exact shape and size of the wallflower's bottom piece. Mind you, it was only on the dresser for a matter of minutes, and like I said it was in the UPRIGHT position. I contacted Bath and Body Works to file a complaint as well as to investigate if anything could be done to rectify my situation. Upon speaking to a woman (Gigi), I was informed that I am not the first to have this problem. She offered me a gift card for $25 and a replacement wallflower! What would make her think I would chance my belongings again with this product is beyond me!

She then said someone from insurance would contact me. They did! But only to inform that on the box it says that the product may leak. WOW! She said they could not issue damages to me as it says on the box that is should not be placed on finished surfaces! I for one never read either of these things and will be investigating this further! My question is how can they continue to sell a product that is used in peoples homes, kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, etc. so at any given time if their product leaks they are not responsible because they warned you it could leak! WHERE EXACTLY IS IT SAFE TO PUT THIS HOME ITEM? It would seem to me that they should pull it off the shelf until they can ensure that it does not leak. For instance, if you plug it in and it happens to leak into the electric socket directly below it, this could cause a fire. They are not responsible because they told you it may leak. They should have a visible warning label printed BOLDLY for all to see. If this were the case, would people still purchase the product? I think not. At least I would'nt have! What a crummy way to do business!

My dresser that was less than a year old is worth over $500 and is now damaged. Unfortunately for me it is part of a set.

First, It ran down from the vents and onto my console and gear shifter and into the cup holder. I pulled over and tried to wipe up the liquid which had an oily consistency. As I gently blotted and wiped the material of my car started coming up. Literally peeling back...

I put cold water on each surface in my car that had the Bath & Body Works car air freshner that leaked on it. First, the black material came up, next the faux wood, then the surface near my vent and the gear shifter surface was literally bubbling up and eating away at my cars interior. This is going to cost me hundred or not thousand of dollars it get repaired if it's even possible to repair. My car is a4 month old, 2006 Saab 9.3 convertible, a $44,000 car. And this substance turned my finger nails black.

For a store manager I expect a more professional attitude. I have never seen had a sales person treat customer's with the level of indignation I saw in her. While I was looking at the body wash selections she actually told me to hurry up or just leave. I was only looking for 2 or 3 minutes. Just an unprofessional and nasty person.

I will shop elsewhere and because if Bath and Body allows people like her to work for them then my money will be spent where they want my business.

I purchased a neck warmer from B&B in December 2003. It was in a plastic box minus the cardboard bottom. After heating it per the salesladys directions (2 min.), my microwave caught fire. Yes, fire. I then noticed the metal zipper under the material. I called your customer service number and spoke with the rudest man, Mike. I explained the story to him. He refused to accept the fact that I had purchased the warmer without the cardboard label/bottom even though, at my request, he had one and saw it was indeed possible (for even a 2 year old) to remove the cardboard bottom.

I asked to speak with a supervisor due to his attitude. The supervisor was helpful and polite. I explained the situation and she said she would put Mike back on for my address (they would send a new warmer) and for the stores information. I told Mike I had purchased a blue warmer due to the scent. He said he had a red one open and they were just different colors, all smelled the same. He took my address and that was it.

I received the red one this week. Ugghhh. The scent is not the same Mike! He was also pompous enough to state in his letter the directions and to note that he had highlighted them for me on the cardboard. Mike, I can read directions when they are provided. This accident occurred due to the store selling me a warmer in a plastic box without the cardboard bottom/directions (probably a return)!
