    I ordered a Sub-Zero Column Refrigerator and a Sub Zero column Freezer almost three weeks ago, costing over 24K. I have called several times wanting answers on delivery. Was told someone would call me within 24 hours. No one called. I waited another day, no call. I am currently on hold for 55 minutes and counting trying to get answers to when I can get these delivered. The worst customer service I have seen. No one can get me an answer. I was told someone would get back to me within 24 hours. Unbelievable. DO not order from this company. I never get on reviews or say any negative things due to being a business owner myself, but this is unacceptable!!!!

    Sales/Help/customer Service is abysmal and dreadful. For an on-site inspection of our cabinet for which a wall oven (if purchased) would be installed, the sales rep (Miguel) not only charged us for the site visit but also charged us a 6% state sales tax for it. After notifying the 3 Depts mentioned above of the sales tax erroneous add-on did they refund our debit card. It took almost a month for AJ to submit the correction. Caveat Emptor w AJ Madison.

    DON’T BUY FROM AJ MADISON!!! 🚩🚩🚩 The moment I've got the product I ordered I told them it’s the wrong item. They said that the policy for returning is 35% returning fee aka 550$. Zero customer service. The customer service’s manager was totally disrespectful. You’re not human to them. You’re just money. You’ve got the wrong item? Your problem. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy from them! This is how they make their money. One phone call can cost you a few hundreds. Be aware!

    I purchased a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator from AJ Madison spending $3200, thinking I was ordering from a reputable company. I couldn’t have been more wrong. For that price, you’d expect a smooth, professional experience. Instead, what I got was a nightmare. When ordering a refrigerator you have to purchase a waterline and then delivery charge—thinking that meant installation too. Apparently not. Buried in the print is a requirement to pay extra for installation. That’s on me for missing it, but come on—$3,200 and they drop the fridge in your house and leave? The delivery guys literally brought it in, pointed out that the water line I was required to purchase didn’t even fit the fridge, tossed the trash in my driveway, and left.

    I contacted customer service via chat who informed me that installation wasn’t included and claimed that all water lines sold by AJ Madison are compatible with every refrigerator. I sent photos proving otherwise. Only then did she admit there was a problem and offered a return label—but no solution or support to actually get the right part or help me get the fridge installed. When I asked if they could recommend certified installers (since Fisher & Paykel requires certified techs to avoid voiding the warranty), I was told installation would cost another $100 and an additional $125 for dispatching a team to my location. I ended the chat. I then reached out to see if they had a company I could contact to come handle the installation and was told by another agent that they did not have certified Fisher & Paykel technicians, they use "handy-men".

    In the end, I had to find a Fisher & Paykel-certified professional on my own and pay out of pocket just to get the appliance I already spent over $3,000 on up and running. DO NOT ORDER FROM AJ MADISON. Their customer service is unhelpful, their communication is misleading, and their policies are designed to nickel and dime customers at every step.

    I would give them 0 stars if I could. Completely misleading delivery timeframes and awful customer service. No communication unless I called or emailed repeatedly. Was told many dates and times that were never correct and my order ended up taking over a month to arrive when I was told 7-10 days. Will never buy anything from them again and highly advise you to shop elsewhere.

    Very dissatisfied with AJ Madison's customer service. I received a new Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. The shipper had me inspect the 5 appliances I received from AJ Madison. Each appliance had individual shipping bases. These appliances are heavy. There was no visible freight damages noted in the receipt and inspection upon delivery. However, when the appliances were ready to install, the dishwasher was lifted out of the shipping base. On the back corner there was obvious damage. It's hard to believe the unit, when loading into the base unit, this damage wasn't observed.

    When I contacted both Fisher & Paykel, I let her know I wasn't certain if the damage compromised the operation of the appliance. She suggested I install and if there was internal damage, Fisher & Paykel could arrange for a service tech to come out and determine the extent of damage and make repairs if possible. A few days later I received an email from Fisher & Paykel to say this was a dealer (AJ Madison) issue. I contacted AJ Madison's customer service representative (Dale). He said the 48-hour window between receiving the appliance and making a claim for freight damage had passed.

    I let him know this was hidden freight damage. He passed me to AJ Madison's customer service rep (Micheal). Micheal denied responsibility and said there was nothing they could do. I let Micheal know, whomever packaged the unit for shipping would have noticed the damage, and this unit should never have been sent out as new. It's unethical for the dealer (AJ Madison) to have ignored the obvious damage ... which by the way, looks like a forklift hit the unit. There was no visible damage to the base shipping material.

    Unfortunately, I did not read customer service reviews prior to purchasing a through-the-wall air conditioner from AJ Madison. On March 11, 2025, I ordered this appliance over the phone. The salesperson did not ask me any questions. I ordered a unit exactly like the one I was replacing which no longer operated. The cost before taxes was $1099, plus a $99 delivery charge. On March 18, I received notice from AM Transportation Logistics that the unit would be delivered on March 19, between 1:00 and 5:00. Madison contracts with this shipping company and they have NO customer service whatsoever.

    If you cannot be there for their scheduled delivery, you must call and cancel. They will reschedule without ANY input from the customer. If the new delivery time is not convenient, you must again call to cancel the delivery & they will again reschedule without any input from you, and so on, and so on. The unit was delivered as scheduled. However, I had to find & pay someone to remove the old unit and install the new one.

    Madison informed me that they do not install AC units, even though it involved only sliding the old one out & the new on in & plugging it in. When I finally had someone do that, we discovered that the plug was quite different from the old unit. It turned out the new unit was 25 amps instead of 20 amps like the old one. It would have cost me well over $1000 to have the rewiring done. Why didn't the salesperson discuss this with me when I placed my order. (When I was finally able to reach someone on the phone at Madison, she admitted that should have been done.) They did, in fact have the exact same unit in 20 amp & offered to replace the wrong one. However, I was told it cost almost $400 more. At that point, I had no choice but to accept it.

    Madison told me AM Transportation would pick up the wrong unit (which was in the wall by then) when they delivered the correct one. On April 11, I received notice that the correct unit would be delivered on April 14. When the new delivery arrived, they refused to pull the wrong unit out of the wall, saying they could not "uninstall" it. (It did not require any "uninstall," merely to be slid out of the wall. Madison had failed to inform me that AM Transportation would not remove it. So AM Transportation did not take the wrong unit nor deliver the correct one, but just left. I expected Madison the call me the next day to address this problem, but they did not. Instead, I had to call them & speak with someone totally new to me and explain the entire situation. It was THEN I was informed I would have to have someone come to pull the unit out & place it in the carport to be picked up. A $125 redelivery charge would be incurred.

    I told them I would need more than 24 hours to arrange for someone to remove the unit. Instead, I received notice from AM Transportation that the redelivery was scheduled the following day. Of course I had to cancel it since I had not been able to get anyone to remove the wrong one yet. So I had to cancel that delivery. Again AM Transportation scheduled delivery without any input from me. Fortunately, I was able to be home at that time, and FINALLY, they picked up the wrong unit & delivered the correct one. Now I just have to get someone to install it. Hopefully, it will be correct when it is opened!

Keep telling me it's a special order. Well, why did they tell me 4-6 weeks when I placed the order? I feel scammed honestly.

    The sales people and customer service at this company are both terrible--which means you are given terrible advice about what to purchase and zero support when you try to fix it. We are thousands of dollars in the hole and still don't have what we need to finish our kitchen. If only we had gone to Lowe's or some local appliance store.     I'm still waiting on my appliances. My delivery has been canceled twice this week because they say they don't have a truck route coming to my area. I live less than 40 miles from the trucking depot. They have continuously not communicated with me updates of canceled delivery. Unacceptable. Don't buy from them!

    Recently ordered a Fisher Paykel refrigerator through AJ Madison. They arranged delivery but the delivery guys did not knock on the front door with the door knocker, nor did they drive their truck in our driveway. Thus we did not hear them come onto our property, and I was one room away from the front door. Our window was 11:00am-3:00pm. When we called at 3:00 to see when the delivery was coming we were told they already tried to deliver and a new delivery would be an additional $125. AND they couldn't tell us when the next delivery would occur. All we heard was excuses. Shame on AJ Madison for hiring a crappy delivery company. Both my wife and I are business owners and AJ Madison is no longer on our call list. All for a lousy $125.

    You will not be able to return the kitchen appliances unless the box is unopened. The wrong refrigerator was shipped to me and I was not able to return it, change for a different one nor get a refund. I was lied to by the salesman, I was told that if there are any problems with the refrigerator I will be able to return it. I ended up with refrigeration that didn't fit my kitchen. Be alert.

    Ordered the LG Studio WashTower on January 27th because the delivery date was February 5th. I even called to place the order to be sure this delivery date was correct since I was without a washer/dryer. I received a shipping confirmation the following day and one a few days later saying it would arrive in the local warehouse in 5-7 days and then I would hear from them. I received an email on Feb. 5th that it had arrived and they would be in contact within five business days to schedule delivery.

    I have contacted AJ Madison numerous times to find out when this would be delivered and they are now telling me it is tentatively scheduled for Monday, February 17th. This is way after I was told by the salesman it would be delivered. Numerous calls to customer service have been no help at all so far. I am supposed to hear from a supervisor today but I’m not holding out any hope since they have been useless. Their website currently says if I order that same Washtower today it will be delivered on February 20th. This is a blatant lie! Wish I had read these reviews prior to ordering.

    Remodeled our kitchen 3 years ago. The American range stove we got from them was shipped missing the back and broken window on stove door. After 2 years of use the electronic board is out and will cost 1000$ to replace. Customer Service. is a complete joke. Between the lemons they push and the lack of interest in resolving issues, can not discourage someone buying from them enough! Get your hard earned dollars to a quality company and not a bunch of crooks!

    AJ Madison's customer experience could not be any more painful for a customer. I ordered nearly 18k of outdoor cooking/refrigeration equipment and spent 4 months dealing with a customer service nightmare. It all starts when taking delivery of their products. It's 100% imperative that every box/crate be opened and the products inspected for damage. They don't say this but their 3rd party transport carrier is a related company, AM Trucking (assume it stands for AJ Madison). I requested my delivery be made when I was home but they came anyway and had my daughter sign for everything.

    My $8k grill had multiple major dents on the cover. They told me that all damage needs to notated at delivery or they are not going to be able to do anything. I found it "convenient" that they wouldn't deliver when I was there; and they were in a hurry to leave. It then took four months of back and forth with multiple departments for me to ultimately take over a $2k loss on a purchase. It was a horrendous experience and horrendous end result! I will never ever purchase from AJ Madison in the future!!!

    We purchased a panel-ready Miele dishwasher and a metal panel. As we now know, the panel was missing the bracket and hardware to install it. At the time, we just knew it wasn't attaching. We called AJ Madison and they didn't know what the issue was. They told us to call Miele. That led to nothing. Eventually we called the AJ Madison parts department and they didn't know what we needed or where to get it. Finally, we called customer service again and the agent told us "it should've come with hardware". Great! He said he would get this figured out.

    Weeks later we received an email from AJ Madison: your request is outside of the 15 day window, so we won't help you. (This 15 day window only referred to returns in all the literature we received.) It took them well over 15 days to even admit that they had failed to send the part. The worst part is they STILL will not tell us what we need. We paid $300 for a useless sheet of metal. Awful, awful experience, especially considering the price.

    I wish I had checked yelp before purchasing through AJM. First, don't order from them if you're in any kind of hurry to receive your appliance. Second, the appliance doesn't work and after reaching out to AJM about I've received no indication that they're taking any action. Since the item is under warranty I reached out to manufacturer myself. AJM has no professionalized customer service / success org. It all feels very ad hoc.

    Very simple, I am a general contractor and flip a lot of houses in my life, and bought appliances many times. Doing business with AJ Madison was a nightmare. Just stay away from them, my story is too long to explain but one thing I can tell you I spend christmas without a frig because of them.

    We purchased a range and Dishwasher from AJ Madison. We experienced many issues with this order. It is very difficult to get ahold of customer care representatives-- I spent over 5 hours on the phone trying to deal with the many issues. I would Routinely get put on hold for 35-40 minute. Customer care representatives would NOT escalate calls to supervisors yet they were unable to deal with issues. Our order was promised two weeks before it arrived. To appease us for the late delivery they offered us free installation and warranties for both appliances. When the appliances arrived two weeks late the delivery company/installers reported that they could not install our range. AJ Madison said that we should have been aware that they don't install LP conversion kits which needed to happen to install. I bought This range because it was LP and the salesperson Jonathon knew that.

    Next, the delivery people installed the wrong dishwasher and had to uninstall it. The dishwasher I purchased was so damaged with dents and other marks that I did not accept the delivery. The delivery team then reinstalled my original dishwasher that now leaks. It is leaking on our wood floor and through the ceiling below. AJ Madison was contacted during this delivery I spoke to Vanessa about the installation and product issues--She initially said she would find another team to hook up the range then said there was not another team in my area. She said that she would need to listen to the recording of the initial sales call to determine what was said about installation. I have a receipt for the installation.

    She told me I needed to find someone to install the new range, or return it and pay a restocking Fee. I now have a range that is not installed and a dishwasher that is leaking and unable to be used. I will Need to pay 500 for the installation of the range and it is not clear what will happen with my leaking dishwasher. Awful service. Money paid to business: 4429.00.

    I purchased a Viking range. It came with installation which I learned is basically they add the power cord to the range. The delivery/installers did not even know the range had legs as it sat 4 inches below the counter top. They did not remove any of the wrap on the range. That is not included with install. The only advantage they have is that they had the Viking range in stock. It has been a disaster ever since. I sent a message to their customer care team and the AM trucking guys showed up with a description that they are going to remove and replace exiting range. This was not the case. They attempted to repair and were not able to put the stove back together. I am left with an $8k range that I cannot use and at the mercy of their service dept and an evaluation.

    We recently moved and the new house had high end appliances that were not maintained (rusted, leaked, etc.). My husband ordered a replacement Electrolux custom side by side and a Fisher and Paykel drawer dishwasher to replace the broken ones. The dishwasher was delivered with a MASSIVE dent on the front panel. We’re talking at least 2 inches deep on the entire right side. Needs to go back. The first fridge was delivered dented on the front, side and back. Again, had to go back. Second attempt at fridge delivery and now the freezer side is all dented and the fridge has interior broken components as well as missing pieces.

    Pairing kit was also not delivered. Delivery/installation workers did not speak English, so I had to resort to a translation app. Full installation could not be done. We opted to keep the fridge/freezer because Thanksgiving is this week and I NEED a functional (albeit dented) unit, and if we sent any of it back they were going to charge a 35% restocking fee… for units that arrived damaged to begin with.

    While they offered a small discount on the fridge/freezer and to send out a replacement panel for the dishwasher, it’s not really enough to make-up for the trouble, nor the time I have had to take off work to be home for these deliveries. This entire debacle has me soured on this company. Either their warehouse staff is negligent, their delivery company is, or they make most their money off restocking fees, but either way this is unacceptable when buying $10,000 appliances. Going forward I would not buy from them again; even if they were selling things at 80% off. I would encourage anyone thinking about buying from them to think twice. Will be reporting to BBB.

    Ordered an LG washer/dryer. After paying for it (credit card not good enough, needed to send picture of both sides and photo ID) I was told it couldn’t be sent to my address or the nearest town to me. Apparently there was a small asterisk next to the FREE NATIONWIDE DELIVERY. Had to ship it to a friend's house five hours away. Was told it would be in at the end of the month. Got it six weeks later. The worst part is their customer service - terrible on most occasions. Between email, phone calls and texts I had dozens of communications with them. You know it’s bad when you can rattle off the nine digit order number from memory. They placate you with generalities. I will NEVER order anything from them again - worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Don’t do it!

    I placed an order on November 6th and was told it would ship soon after processing. On November 18th, no delivery and no email. I called and found out one of the two products I ordered was not in stock and would not be available until February 2025!!! They then tried selling me a product several hundred dollars more expensive. I declined and said just ship the one thing I ordered. Of course now, I've lost my free shipping. It felt like a bait and switch. How do I order a product that you don't have? Why would no one call for nearly two weeks and tell me the product was out of stock? Why did I have to call twelve days after placing the order to locate my items? Terrible service.

    I received all the appliances I ordered in March 2024. The salesperson never mentioned that I had an option to add an ice maker to the fridge. This order was for the ADU and the laundry room in the main house. Since the ADU was completed first, those appliances were installed. When the plumber mentioned the ice maker, I immediately called to add it. Although they initially insisted on charging for shipping, after days of back-and-forth, they finally agreed to waive the fee. Now that the main house is finished, I discovered the dryer—still in its box in the garage—is electric, even though I specifically requested gas since I have gas hookups.

    I called to exchange just the dryer for a gas model. I was prepared to take a loss and even willing to pay extra to make the switch since the 30 days had passed, but they refused to help at any cost. The manager was rude and dismissive. He offered an estimate for a similar gas dryer, priced even higher than competitors like HD, claiming it was a "deal" and that I should be grateful for waived shipping. To make matters worse, the sales rep never informed me of the limited timeframe to claim the rebate, so I lost an additional $350. NEVER SHOP FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST, AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BEYOND AWFUL.

    We're liking the appliance fine, just wish we ordered it from elsewhere. Inaccurate delivery lead time on their website and terrible customer service/wait times. The only customer service line that you can get in touch with during the day is, of course, sales. They messed up the delivery/haul-away once the refrigerators finally came after I confirmed upwards of 5 times that it wouldn't happen. Haul-away needed to be rescheduled in the end which I worried about and tried to prevent from the start. It's truly not worth the headache, just find a different vendor. Some of the worst customer service and project management I've ever witnessed. It's not surprising at all that they somehow removed the review portion on Google for their business.

    These people have great salesmen. I called to order a dual-fuel stove, a dishwasher and a fan for over my gas stove. I wasn't sure what I wanted exactly and they had a lot of "good advice". This is why I bought from them. Because they could point me in the direction of the purchase. They walk me through. Which product would be best for my application. They never advised me that I was buying a three-year-old stove. At any rate, I purchased all three, it was ten grand, after installing everything, I was satisfied and then decided to clean my oven... The interior glass on the oven exploded, during clean cycle. So I reached out to AJ Madison, then they gave me the information for Bertizoni. Bertizoni did respond and send a service technician out to repair my glass. But I did learn that I had purchased a 3-year-old stove from AJ Madison and that was very shady. Obviously. I would have never purchased a 3-year-old stove As a new purchase.

    Currently, though, I'm still dealing with Bertizoni, because I have glass circulating through my oven and I can't even cook with it. Yes, they replaced the interior glass, but there is glass blowing through the oven. If I use convection. And I am still ** off at AJ Madison for selling me a three-year-old stove over the phone I had no earthly idea that it was a three-year-old stove when I purchased it and they should go to hell! I bought a ** stove. That's just about at a warranty, and they can bite me. They are shady, people do not buy from them. They're just a bunch of salesmen with a bunch of information that'll make you feel good and then they'll sell you products that are old. I think there were recalls on my oven door before they knew it before they sold it to me. They never advise me of anything. They just sold it to me. Let the glass blow and now I have an oven. I can't use, and I'm trying to work with Bertizoni. These people suck.

    I bought a Uline ice machine and the first unit was faulty and had to be replaced on day one. Less than a year later it failed again and they are unable to get it repaired. I’ve emailed and called multiple times and over two months still have a dead ice maker. I primarily blame the absolute garbage product that Uline makes but you should be responsible for what you sell. Stay away from these companies if you’re wise.

    BEWARE of AJ Madison!!!! I have been getting the run around from them about a refrigerator I “attempted“ to purchase for over 2 1/2 months. First the LIE. We have it in stock and can be delivered to you by the end of next week. A week goes buy, no fridge, no contact from them. I call, did I mention the wait times once you place an order are horrible?, only to find out they have to get the refrigerator from Summit, AJ Madison does not stock it! Also no idea when it will be in. Couple weeks go buy with nothing from them, I call back. Not in their possession yet, SHOULD be soon. Tell them I am installing on our boat and we are leaving the location we originally wanted it delivered in 2 weeks, if it is not delivered by then and I have an alternative address.

    I even tried to give them that address then but was told they would call/email once the fridge shows up and get that info. HA, I call a few days later to update with the new address and guess what since we were leaving but guess what, the fridge is on the way to the original address but no date for delivery was known. All this is in their notes as each different person reads the notes then immediately starts to apologize. I am told I would have to pay $95 x2 to change the delivery, $95 to ship back to them and $95 to ship to new address! After much complaining they waived that charge.

    That was 3 weeks ago, the refrigerator was supposed to be back to them last week, didn’t happen. Called last week. Promised it would be in their hands by Monday, wrong again! Finally today, Tuesday, after couple hours on phone was able to get a straight answer, sorta. The refrigerator is somewhere between the original address in Md and NJ, but have no idea when it will come in??? Had enough of the lies and excessive wait times, canceled the order and ordered from Home Depot, $200 more but have a firm delivery date. (Hopefully). If I could give no stars I would!

    Buyer beware! Buried in a FAQ and not sent to me until after I made a purchase in a Confirmation email of the order was I notified there’s a 35% re-stock fee if you return the appliance at the point of delivery. It wasn’t possible to see until the old dishwasher in my kitchen was removed (taking out finishing wood base and disconnecting machine) that the 24” depth I had measured was an inch off because of a tube in the back of the area. The new one just wouldn’t fit so they repackaged it and brought it back - whole thing took about 15 min. And for that they’re taking 35%! Even when I asked about doing an exchange. No go. So obviously I’m going elsewhere to purchase another washer that fits.

    This company does not have what they say they have, their products are fragile. Most importantly, to deliver the products takes months, after all the wait if you lucky the products may deliver, however, they do not provide qualify installer. They do not let you use your own water hose to connect to the fridge. Due to their own failure not able to install they love to charge you 35% restocking fee, when completely it is their responsibility to install, however, they seem to enjoy the 35% restocking fee more than they want to sell actual products. I wonder what the Consumer Affairs department is waiting for, they should be out of business. Another lie is that they will tell someone will contact you to discuss, however, for sure no one will contact you because no has called me.

    AJ Madison Appliances in Brooklyn NY is a Big Joke, Buyer Beware - Customer service is 1 person, that does not fix damaged items. We placed an order for a Dishwasher, then came a storm & Tornado so delivery got pushed back 30 days by us. When our installer open the crate, the insides were damaged and the outside panel was damaged. It was not 1st Quality, it was a 2nd That cost us $1700. The nightmare is on replacement parts. I was offered a NEW Dishwasher from the Manufacture...BUT AJ Madison has PUSHED off do this. I asked for a Full refund and yet Nothing. They want the dishwasher back before they give me my money, they want another 10 days to send a another dishwasher making it now 2 months since this whole thing started. They want to keep your $, not fix or replace a DEFECTIVE & BROKEN Dishwasher that they sold and ship me. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN BROOKLYN NY.

    AJ Madison is terrible. Range came scratched. Not a huge scratch. But scratched nonetheless. And scratched on the front not the side. This has been months of back and forth with AJ Madison. They told me that if I did not keep it I could be waiting for a long time to get another one. But told me that they would get a replacement part and have it repaired. I agreed but have regretted it ever since. I have to call them all the time after they miss deadline after deadline. They never call me to let me know they are not going to have anything when they said they would. Dates just come and go. I would highly recommend Ilve ranges. Just don’t buy it from AJ Madison.

    The customer service is terrible. I ordered online a week ago an oven. The shipping status is still unchanged as "in processing." After calling them and waiting 30 minutes on the phone, the representative hung up on me and I had to call back. Once I got a representative on the line he explained that the manufacturer needed to ship the item to their warehouse before AJ Madison could update the status. Keeping in mind that AJ Madison's website indicated that this item was "in stock." Now the shipping estimate is about a month out!! These guys need to do a better job.

    Unfortunately, 1 star is the lowest I can give them, even though they don’t deserve even 1 star. This is the WORST customer service experience I have ever had. I ordered kitchen appliances (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave) on 5/27/2024. Since then, I have called and emailed them trying to schedule a delivery; repeatedly telling them that the HOA requires 3 days notice before the delivery can be made. No one is responding to my emails… and when I call, I am told that they will try to schedule it and someone will call me back, but no one does. However, without any prior notice, I have received random emails saying that my items will be delivered later that day (giving me less than 2-3 hours notice) and ask for me to confirm the delivery.

    It’s been 5 weeks since I ordered the items. I made the mistake of buying from them to renovate my condo and put it on the market. My condo has been fully renovated and ready to hit the market since 6/4 (which was the estimated delivery date of the appliances which would have been perfect if it was actually delivered). Instead, my unit had been sitting vacant because I need these items so the unit can be photographed and ready for marketing/ sale.

    I seriously can’t believe this. Last week I even told them that if they don’t figure this out I will take this to social media and leave a review for them explaining exactly what is happening. Even that didn’t help and no one has reached out! I will NEVER EVER buy anything from them again. At this time, I am contemplating disputing it with my credit card company and buying it from somewhere else, so I can actually receive the items, and move forward with the sale of my unit. Did I mention it’s been 5 weeks since I purchased these items?

    You decide: When a company places you in harm's way, is it simply projecting incompetence, or does it have more sinister intentions. In march of this year, I was researching a replacement air conditioner. I filtered my search by features, price and brand, and ordered what seemed to be the best fit for my needs. After a month of shipping and handling the air conditioner, which is produced by an U.S. company, was dollied into my kitchen. The following day, I noticed the air conditioner box sporting a large warning, informing all, that installation of this air conditioner, anywhere in the state of California, will result in penalties and/or imprisonment. I live in Southern California. Stunned but willing to give the retailer the benefit of the doubt, I reached out to local HVAC businesses and home construction contractors to find out what this means to me.

    They were as confused as I. I then contacted the retailer of the air conditioner, a number of times, explaining to them their mistake and asking to return the air conditioner. I was informed by the retailer that they would be happy to correct their mistake after charging me a $400 dollar fee. Unwilling to bend to extortion, I then contacted the Refrigerant Management Program for the California Air Resource Board (CARB), who were the creators of the warning, to get facts verified. The California Air Resource Board upheld the warning, prohibiting the import of the type of air conditioner that was delivered by AJ Madison. Again I contacted AJ Madison asking them to correct their mistake and again AJ Madison refused to take back the air conditioner.

    Unable to resolve this, you would think, simple matter, I turned to the Better Business Bureau (BBB). F.Y.I, unbelievably, the BBB rates AJ Madison as being excellent. AJ Madison replied to the BBB with empty promises to resolve the mistake and pick up the illegal unit for free but did nothing. AJ Madison never sent me a notice of return, nor had I been contacted by AJ Madison's delivery company informing me of a scheduled pick up. Meaning that no return order was ever sent. They also lied to the BBB about not being able to reach me.

    Unable to get this illegal air conditioner returned and remove my $1,300 dollars out of the pockets of AJ Madison, I turned to the Attorney General. I mailed all of my correspondence with the retailer, CARB and BBB to the Attorney General's (AG) office. AJ Madison's response to notification from the AG office was to deny all responsibility and blame me, the customer. They said that I was at fault for them sending the illegal air conditioner. AJ Madison stated to the AG that I was at fault, because I used the AJ Madison website. AJ Madison argued that I should not have followed the instructions on the AJ Madison website. They argued that if I spoke to a live person on the phone, instead of using their website, the live person would have steered me away from purchasing the illegal air conditioner. But that was simply another lie. I contacted AJ Madison after their response.

    On April 26, I asked AJ Madison “what is the California legal equivalent to the air conditioner that you sent me”. An AJ Madison representative responded with “I have reached out to Friedrich for assistance, I am seeking their help”. May 1, AJ Madison sent me an answer. This exchange would support the fact that, when I ordered the air conditioner March 5, no one at AJ Madison would have taken any action in preventing sale and shipping of an illegal air conditioner. The illegal air conditioner was finally picked up May 3rd and my money returned June 16th.

They changed and cancelled delivery 5 times! When it finally did come, it looked OK. I signed the delivery invoice only to find out 30 minutes later that they had covered over the delivery sticker (that listed the model number) with a false model number! I was given a 3.2 cubic capacity washer instead of a 3.5, and I discovered that my 'new' washer is used! Crooks! Frauds!

    Purchased a Speed Queen TC5003WN about a month ago. Unit was delivered damaged. They sent out a replacement. Replacement was also damaged. I refused the replacement due to the damages and when I asked the delivery company to take the original one they refused without giving any reason. I called AJ Madison to have the delivery company come back and I keep being told the delivery company will contact me to schedule pickup. That was almost a month ago. I called the delivery company directly and they told me AJ Madison needs to contact them for me to get on the schedule. It's been almost a month without a washing machine and now I'm stuck taking my laundry to a laundromat because these two companies refuse to figure this out.

    Additionally, I financed this purchase with Synchrony and I can't get a refund until the washer is returned so I've had to start making payments on a washing machine I can't even use. This has probably been one of the worst experiences of my life. Avoid AJ Madison at all costs and just go pick up a laundry machine at your local appliance store.

    Just came here to say I had an awesome experience with AJ Madison and, now that my new fridge is installed and blissfully quiet, I’m remembering all these negative comments here and… I’m baffled. I know everyone has different experiences and I’m genuinely sorry for those who had cruddy ones (like I did with Lowe’s before going with AJ Madison on a whim). But my fridge was installed less than 48 hours from ordering online and I couldn’t be happier. Service was top notch every step of the way!

    Ordered a new dual fuel stove from them along with "pro" install for $325. Stove took several weeks to ship, ok fine. Took another week to get picked up and delivered. I can live with it. But what I am not ok with is the way the delivery and "pro" install was handled, or the subsequent customer service experience went. The "pros" didn't have the tools to properly set up the electrical for the stove so they told me I would need to have an electrician come out. Didn't properly level the stove. Took the old stove out (my understanding was haulaway was part of the $325 I paid) and left it on my driveway along with all of the packaging, plastic, boxes, etc. From the new stove. When I went outside I also saw that they left trash in the street where they had parked their truck. Called AJ Madison to see what could be done and essentially was told tough luck. Terrible experience overall and I will not be buying from them again.

    We ordered all our appliances from AJ MADISON in April 2023 - We are still waiting for the refrigerator and honestly if I could I would buy a different refrigerator but I am stuck waiting because we built our new kitchen cabinets based on this refrigerator (MONOGRAM). I can't even buy it from another retailer because we got the rate for having bought all appliances together. No one cares at AJ MADISON - They blame it all on the manufacturer, but they should not offer customers appliances that they know are not in stock and will not be in stock - give us the consumer the choice. I called MONOGRAM and they advised me that there was one in stock at their warehouse to have AJ MADISON'S buyer call and they said "no", that they have their warehouse and they could not do that - or maybe is it that they would not do that - I do not know - I would not recommend anyone buying at AJ MADISON.

    AJ MADISON Is the worst company to order any type of appliances. We ordered high end appliances with them. The sales guy, Joseph **, was absolutely rude. Probably should've stopped there. However, we liked what we saw. Their fraud dept makes you out to be a criminal. The process to get approved was well over 3 weeks. Just ridiculous.

    We live in TEXAS so the shipping time was well over 3 weeks too. When the shipping they use for the area, AM Transportation Logistics, came to the house they did not even inspect the appliances. EACH high end appliance from AJ MADISON was damaged so much that it was unbelievable. Mind you the installers were horrendous too. They noticed the dents, scratches then immediately yell at you and tell you to go get a plumber. WOW! After you spend thousands of dollars and should be a happy day ends up living a nightmare. Each appliance has dents, damaged and scratches.

    When we called AJ MADISON they only wanted to offer us 30% off of one appliance. What a joke. Also, the installers they use from AM Transportation Logistics are unprofessional, rude and they will drop your range. They dropped our range and did not use a dolly. In addition, they do not tell you. Instead they tell you to go get a plumber. Just rude. The entire experience with AJ MADISON is horrible. They do not take responsibility for their mistakes, actions and definitely damaged items. BEWARE. Do not use.

    I purchased two products from AJ Madison. The first was a Samsung Induction Range and the second was a Bosch dishwasher. The Dishwasher shipped quickly but the Range order just sat. 3 weeks after the order I called for status and was told the range had been discontinued…no one bothered to reach out to me. I ordered a replacement from someone else.

    Today, the Dishwasher shows up. The delivery guys state they don’t know how to install dishwashers so they just left it. I reached out to AJ Madison and they said the company they used can’t install dishwashers so they would refund and I am on my own… Now I have to spend twice as much on an install since an entire new truck and crew needs to come out. These guys are horrible. Save your hassle and buy local…avoid AJ Madison.

    Bait and switch outfit. I purchased a range for about $3K for delivery the following week. 3 weeks later, no communication whatsoever. After hounding them for a while they finally told me the unit I ordered was out of stock, but that they could sell me a nearly identical model in a different color for $800 more.     Do not trust the delivery date. I contacted the seller once the delivery date indicated when I bought it had passed and the order was still in 'processing'. I was told the product was being shipped to their warehouse and should arrive in 5 to 8 business days and then should be delivered to my home within 2 business days after that. 2 weeks after expected!! When I asked if I could cancel due to it being late, I was told that I would have to pay a fee. I asked why I needed to pay a fee if the delay was their fault and was told the delivery date is an estimate and I am still held to paying the fee if I cancel. I am now stuck waiting 2+ additional weeks without a dishwasher. I will never do business with this company again.

    I read the reviews and thought I could do better. I ordered a black (specified model number to the salesmen x3) refrigerator in July and was told that it was in stock. They tried to deliver a stainless steel in September. When I refused delivery they told me that the black was on backorder. I called the manufacturer who told me that a stainless steel was ordered by AJM. AJM response was "What is wrong with stainless steel?" After constant phone calls, we finally received a black refrigerator in December. We never knew that life without a refrigerator was so painful.

    I should have read the reviews before ordering from this disorganized, poorly run company. I ordered because they offered delivery, installation and haul away. I needed that for my elderly and handicap mother's home. After I ordered, they informed me they could not install and haul away in my mom's area. Good old bait and switch. For several reasons, I continued with the order. Gaining clarity on the delivery has been a nightmare. LONG hold time, incorrect info received, sent off to their hired suppliers (I ordered from AJ Madison, not their chosen helpers!). At this moment, after an hour on the phone, still not clear! Trust me, go someplace else. They do not care about the duress they cause you. And I need to say the customer service reps are not the problem. They do the best they can within a poorly run system. Always comes from the top!

They say items are in stock, you wait for delivery info, call and then find out they were never in stock. Won’t solution with you either. Spend your money somewhere else. You’ll have less headaches.

    I feel they are basically a warehouse. Yes, I ordered a sink. And they gave me a date for delivery. I find out over a month later and 2 weeks after they promised my Item item. They apparently sent me an email stating the product needed to be made at The manufacturer and I needed to pay upfront. But about a month ago they asked and I told him no problem. Funds are there. Wanted item Before Christmas to install before the beginning of the year, a gift to my pregnant stepdaughter. To make her life easier (A large porcelain single bay kitchen sink). So she did not have to bend over to watch the baby. Ordered faucet somewhere else at the same time and got that one and a half weeks later. So now I have a faucet but no sink. And worst customer service I've ever experienced. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

    I never write reviews. In fact I don't think I've ever posted a review. But this has hands down been the worst service I've ever experienced. It started with lying about when I would get my refrigerator and dishwasher. What was said to be 7 - 10 days is now over 6 weeks. The delivery company cancelled twice when I took time off work and then showed up and didn't drop the items because the water valve was wrong. I told them to leave them and I would finish the install and they sped away in a truck with my items practically side swiping the elderly neighbor's car. Wait, haven't I paid over $5000 for the items that you won't give to me? NO ONE ever picks up the phone.

    This is HANDS DOWN the worst company to deal with and do not purchase anything from them or rely on A&M Delivery. LIES, OVERCHARGES and incompetence. In particular with Meir ** and Stacy. I can't say enough bad things about this company. STEER CLEAR AND DON'T BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU.

    The worst service, worst customer service, worst experience I've ever experienced. These crooks have my credit STUCK PAYING $200 A MONTH FOR GARBAGE!! I Desperately want to just go back to Straight Talk, but now I'm stuck in a contract, which of course the payments are wrong from what the young inexperienced customer service people at the Hamilton Mt. store.. I Hate this phone, s23-garbage.. my sons $500 ipad fell apart within two weeks.. I hate this crap, and I hate that I have to give them 1 star that they don't deserve!!

    I ordered a dishwasher and the delivery and installation experience was terrible. First they ordered a damaged dishwasher. Every time an installer came they found something wrong or came with a missing installation kit. They are all incompetent and the communication within the company is terrible. Do not trust them!

    I wish I had never purchased my Miele dishwasher from this retailer. The installation/delivery service they use in my area (AM Transportation Logistics) was horrendous. It took a month for them to deliver the appliance and when they did they could not finish the installation. I had to then pay a handyman to finish the job but the handyman cannot do the panel install so now I am stuck with an appliance without a cabinet cover. AJ Madison cannot help. Use a retailer that offers a competent delivery and installation service which include the cabinet pane install. Avoid AJ Madison.

    Appliance works great, the delivery service on the other hand is the worst I've ever dealt with in my life. Delivery was continually delayed and product was received 3 weeks after the promised delivery date. When workers arrived they were rude and continued to leave the door open to my home when I have 2 pets. When they finished the job they left garbage on my property. I'll never use AJ Madison to order another appliance ever again

    I have a second home. Was told I would get a 30 minute call for delivery. Got a robo call at 6:15 for a 20 minute delivery time. They were there in 10 minutes. Would not wait for my property manager to get there. Would not wait 5 minutes!! The worst experience. Had to sign a waiver for the trucker to leave in garage. They wanted me to pay for reinstall. Just costing me so much more than expected. Not to mention the stress. They need to get their delivery act together. Sales and delivery are two separate companies. Do not buy from AJ Madison.

    If there was a negative rating I would give it to AJ Madison. We ordered a washer, dryer, and refrigerator for our new home. The truck "broke down" during the delivery. They did not respond to any inquiry as to a rescheduling date. 2 weeks later they delivered the refrigerator and washer. They did not include the water hose and it was not assembled. The dryer was delivered on a different date with a huge dent in the side. We refused the delivery and finally got a new one 2 weeks later. We paid for a full installation of all of the appliances, but when the dryer was delivered they said that they didn't do installations. We were again left without a washer and dryer.

    Despite repeated calls to customer service, the appliances were not installed. I figured out how to do this myself, and finished it today. In all of my years on the planet, this was the worst experience I have ever had with any company. If you are thinking of buying from AJ Madison, I would strongly suggest you find another appliance company!

    Dryer Issue upon delivery... Feb 2023. We purchased a speed Queen Washer and dryer. From the time we received it the dryer would shut off intermittently for no apparent reason. We called for service. After several MONTHS we got a person to show up. He writes in the service ticket.”FIRE HAZARD!” Left unplugged, do not use.

    He suggested we immediately request a brand new replacement. Parts would not fix this appliance is what he told my wife. We call AJ Madison a few days later and they say it will not be covered! We were astonished, we requested a second inspection. Second repair person came and said he will order parts... that is the only way he can test it to see what is occurring. AJ Madison has been MIA.

    Ordered a brand-new washer and dryer with delivery. The delivery drivers did not come on the scheduled date, so no one was home for the delivery. Left items at the front door unattended. Plus, both units were severely dented. The dryer was so damaged that it didn't work properly. Was told by AJ Madison there was nothing they could do.     Purchased a Bosch dishwasher [model SHX78B75UC/01] in April 2023. AJ Madison was unable to install it despite the fact that I had paid for the install, so I spent $500 for a plumber to complete the install. I have the manufacturer Warranty and paid for 5 years additional warranty. The Bosch stopped working two weeks ago (4 months after purchase). AJ Madison does not have its own service techs so that arranged for Bosch tech to come to repair. I have had two service appointments and no-one showed up - no phone call, nothing.

    We ordered a highly rated GE refrigerator from AJ Madison. They shipped and arranged installation in 11/2022. The refrigerator was supposed to be very quiet (according to Consumer Reports ) but it was very noisy. We called AJ Madison. They arranged service. Proved to be a damaged compressor- the service rep said it appeared to have been damaged in shipping. AJ Madison refused to refund or replace. They said we could take it up with GE. GE said we needed to take it up with AJ Madison. We spend literally hours on hold with AJ Madison. No action, and they stopped answering our calls.

    We sent a detailed letter to AJ Madison, including Vice President Operations, Head of Customer Experience.. They didn't even do us the courtesy of replying. Ultimately the refrigerator was repaired. Still noisy, but at least it worked. We gave up, which appears to have been their goal. Now less than two years from purchase and the refrigerator doesn't work. Of course we are out of warranty. So we'll be repairing it on our dime. We have never had an experience like this with any major appliance. Our refrigerators typically don't need repair for 5-10 years (we have one in the garage that's 12 years, still humming, never serviced).

    Summary: AJ Madison sold us a fridge with a damaged compressor. Their service department is abysmal. Wait times were forever. No response to a written complaint. And now we're out nearly $2000 for a refrigerator that's proving to be a chronic maintenance problem. DREADFUL.

    AJ Madison assured me repeatedly that my delivery was coming, but delayed my delivery for almost a month from the order date. When the machines finally arrived, the dryer did not work. I was then told that a repair date was scheduled and that I would receive a repair date within 24-48 hours. I did not and when I called back learned that the head of customer service had NOT submitted my repair request. I was then told to wait another 2 days. The upshot is that I was without functional laundry machines for a month, so I had to use a coin laundry which took a lot of time out of my day. I also spent hours on the phone trying to get this straightened out. I had a terrible customer service experience with representatives making false promises and speaking over me on the phone, then placing me repeatedly on hold rather than addressing my concerns promptly and efficiently.

    Sounded good on the phone. But the service was terrible. Sales said they would put the stovetop in the truck that night. Not. 2 weeks later they put it on the truck. 4 weeks later I picked, the item up myself from the delivery service because the delivery person pressed the doorbell, and no one answered. I was in the back. A simple knock on the door would have sufficed, I have two dogs and I would have been immediately have been alerted. Finally, I managed to reach a manager and some resolution was approved.

    We ordered through A.J. Madison "the appliance experts." They claim nationwide delivery. We purchased the option to have our old refridgerator removed and the new one placed in the house. The delivery person they sent was under instruction not to go into the house. We are an elderly couple. We could not get the refridgerator into the house. A.J. Madison told us our saleperson was misinformed. We refused the delivery. Do not do business with A.J. Madison, they make false promises on which they won't deliver.

    WOW - Like so many people here I had a horrible experience with delivery to my home in NC. I live out of town so needed to coordinate delivery which I did - then they did not show - that missed delivery cost me over $500 in travel - Tried to get resolution from customer service but they missed the mark - Stuff happens Ok, but it is how you deal with it that makes the difference and this company does not step up to address customer concerns. Stay away - buy local - or from a dealer you know you can count on when something goes wrong.

    I ordered an appliance from AJ Madison and the initial ordering experience was very positive. I ordered the product at the beginning of May and asked that it would be delivered by the end of June so that we could get it into our storage unit before we entered the limbo period between the end of our rental lease and the move-in-date at our new home which is currently under construction. The product was not delivered by the end of June, and then after we moved out of our rental, we got a storage bill on July 10 for the month of July.

    I called Customer Service, and they told me that if I wanted the product shipped by the next day, that I would have to get a delivery address to them by the end of the day and then THEY WOULD REMOVE THE STORAGE CHARGE. So I rented a storage unit near the construction site (since we currently have no street address) and I spent a few hours trying to get someone on the phone at AJ Madison who could take note of the delivery address. I did finally get confirmation that the address had been recorded. Then this morning, AJ Madison confirmed that the item was being shipped, but the July storage charge was still on the invoice.

    So the first customer service rep that I spoke to never got her message through to Billing about the refund, which is what occasions my message to the consumer:
    1. Expect monthly storage fees.
    2. Plan delivery about 10 days before you really need your item delivered, especially if you need delivery by the end of a month, because then you will be charged a storage fee for the next month.

    3. Expect to spend hours "on hold" on the phone, especially if you have to contact Billing. I had to be persistent, but a nice customer service rep finally helped me get the delivery address through the shipping dept (for this reason I gave my review a 2 rather than a 1) but I am still waiting for the promised refund.

    Do NOT purchase appliances from AJ Madison. I purchased a refrigerator, washer & dryer from AJ Madison. They are using a third-party delivery service because my home is outside their normal delivery area. The delivery company called today to schedule delivery for tomorrow and informed me that they only delivered CURBSIDE. I contacted AJ Madison Customer Service and the rep offered no help and said, “I understand how you feel/I’m sorry you feel that way, but that service (delivery to the room of your choice or even into the garage) is not available in your area.” The same scripted response over & over. I then contacted my sales rep who responded with “I didn’t know” and “don’t you have a contractor?” No accountability, no concern, and a complete absence of customer service. My problem. Never again!

    Bad experience with these guys, won’t use them again. We purchased an appliance (induction range) and found out before delivery that it wouldn’t work in our apartment. My bad for not understanding this in advance, or for seeing the fine print about the 35% (!) restocking fee hit for canceling the order. But they wouldn’t even work with us to apply a reasonable share of the price we paid to purchase another product from them instead. Just basically told us we’re out of luck. Absolutely their right, and fully disclosed, but seems like really bad business to lose a customer through zero flexibility and understanding. Obviously won’t buy anything from them in the future.

    Learn the lesson from me: do all your homework, double-check your measurements and installation requirements, and check with your building superintendent before you buy a new appliance. Otherwise, at least with these guys, it will be costly and they will take your money and won’t try to help you out in any way. Thanks for nothing AJ Madison.

    Beware! Terrible experience! They missed the first delivery date, second time they only gave us 20 minutes heads up and didn’t want to wait 5 minutes for us to come to the house. The third time was the highlight… when you buy from AJ Madison they make you confirm that you will be responsible for disposing of the box. A box is fine but what are we supposed to do with a crate? When I asked the delivery person to take it he tried to hide the box behind a tree. When we confronted him about it he left the old fridge in the middle of our driveway and drove away with the new fridge. AJ Madison was not able to find any resolution and we ended up disputing the charge. While buying online was easy, I highly recommend buying from a local shop.

    This is the worst experience I've ever had buying appliances. AJ Madison calls itself the appliances experts, but they sent the worst installers to install my very expensive cooktop Miele that I purchased at AJ Madison. The AJ installer not even attempted to install cooktop, not even confirmed right measurements, he was in a hurry, not white glove installation as promised, which I had paid for. On top installer started to scream and yell at me to sign for delivery cooktop which I had paid to be installed. Completely unacceptable.

    I spoke with FL manager Johanna, just to be told that if the appliances didn’t fit I was not able to return it for full refund, not even after explaining to her my terrible experience with installer. The so called appliances experts. I am an engineer that works in construction/remodeling NEVER experienced something like it before. Where are all the good techs in Miami? Everybody left??? AJ sent the most aggressive, abusive person I have ever encounter. I felt threatened on my own home. AJ do you realized that you sent these type of installers to good homes? Maria **

    I ordered a Miele washer and dryer, washer arrived with transit bolt bent. I can't use the machine because I can't get the transit bolt out. Guess what happened when I contacted AJ Madison? (Immediately BTW after the men who delivered left) The same customer service as all the other 1 star reviews. I was told they would "try" to get someone out to fix it, or send a new unit. BUT had to wait for Miele or whomever else to approve it. 3 weeks later, here I wait with no washer. Follow-up emails I send get zero responses, not even an update. And to boot, I'm a pro account holder! Absolutely the worst customer service. Certainly will not be recommending to clients or anyone else in the future.

    AJ Madison and their contractors bungled this from the start. I thought I could not be more upset with the deplorable service. It was a nightmare from beginning to end. The only positive is that it is finally over and we got our money back — although our old appliances are now beat up. They’ve sent several customer-review notes asking for feedback on our experience. They’ve not published our response: It was a disaster.

    In early October we drove AJ Madison’s Brooklyn showroom with hopes of getting a new stovetop, down draft, and double oven installed before Thanksgiving. We had dimensions of our space and current appliances in hand. AJ Madison’s sales representative helped us pick out what would work best and arranged a site visit from the installation company, a subcontractor of AJ Madison. The site visit was very brief and informal. The guy was here for maybe 10 minutes. When I asked logistical questions about the space and electrical needs he shrugged and said his sons would take care of it.

    Over the next four months AJ Madison and its contractor broke and misplaced the new equipment, ordered pieces that could in no way work together, sent misleading information on deliveries then admitted it was wrong and then made the delivery anyway only to later admit it was not supposed to be delivered. If that sounds crazy that’s because dealing with AJ Madison was a complete disaster.

    They wound up bending our old equipment but we eventually got out money back. We're so happy to never deal with them again. Even the refund was bungled and seemingly intentionally delayed on multiple occasions. This is not just a normal bad review. Please read this as an accusation of something approaching fraudulent business practices. Shame on AJ Madison, its management and its ownership. You are terrible at what you do.

    In January we ordered a Fisher Paykel fridge from AJ Madison at Tysons in Virginia. When the fridge was delivered, the salesman had ordered the wrong handle style and hinge orientation (he assured me the hinge/handle was reversible). The installers let the salesman know the handle/hinge was not reversible. The fridge was installed (as we had no working fridge and the mistake was the salesman's). In addition to being unable to contact the salesman during the scheduling and installation process, the customer service person who we were told would resolve the issue has "disappeared" (despite my reaching out several times via e-mail) after assuring us 2 weeks ago that the problem would be resolved. We are very frustrated and unhappy.

    If it were possible to give less than a 1 star review I would do so. This place is an utter nightmare (as I now realize based on their review score) but if this keeps anyone from giving them a penny it is worth the effort to write the review. I placed an order with Affirm as the payment option and paid the affirm initial charge. They then proceeded to bill my credit card for the full value of the order in addition to the Affirm payment.

    Next the delivery/install team did not speak any English which made communication with them pretty much impossible. They utterly destroyed my existing microwave removing it and then couldn't get the new one installed. As I couldn't communicate with them I told them to take it back. AJ Madison then wants a 35% restocking fee. In addition to failing to install the microwave they only partially installed the range leaving pieces that needed to be installed sitting in my landscaping after they left (with zero cleanup or really communication).

    Now I am going back and forth with them and it is perfectly clear they don't care about the customers in the slightest. Only the money. They indicated they had issued a refund on the the install fees and microwave (less their restocking fee) but unsurprisingly there is no refund on record with the credit card company and their invoices don't show what was refunded. This place is a disaster and I would recommend avoiding them like the plague and telling everyone that will listen to do the same.

    I ordered 4 appliances from AJ Madison. Out of the four appliances three were damaged. But because I did not open and inspect all the appliances within a 48 hour window AJ Madison refused to replace or refund the damaged items. These were very expensive appliance and now they are worthless. I should have listened to my designer who told me not to buy from them as this is a common occurrence. Be cautious, you are not saving anything by buying from AJ Madison.

    We went with AJ Madison because they had a washer/dryer model in stock and guaranteed 24 hour shipping for it. I called sales directly to confirm this. It did not ship for a week and we received no notice at all or an explanation for this delay. When it did arrive, it arrived with a bent facade but we were so desperate for our washer at this point, that we didn’t even mind. The installers were in a rush and once it was installed, it began to trip our outlet and breaker. The old washer never did this even just a day prior. The installers did not seem to care and insisted we sign. I asked them to test it first but they declined. We had an electrician come and replace the outlet and breaker but the washer still wouldn’t work.

    I called the AJ Madison contracted installer and they came to check it. I asked if they could just bring a replacement so we wouldn’t be without a washer for even longer and they declined. They confirmed it was defective and said they’d have AJ Madison reach out to us. 3 more days go by with nothing so I called them. They explain that it’s not their problem that they sold us a defective unit that has never run a single cycle and that it’s now our responsibility to fix it with the manufacturer. We’ve spent hundreds of dollars and dozens of hours at the laundromat because of their negligence and horrible business practices. I’ll be taking this up with the Better Business Bureau.

    Before ordering a freezer, I inquired and the salesman assured me that the installers would be able to install the door panel from my existing freezer. When the freezer was delivered, the installer told me that the salesman was wrong. So I refused delivery. AJ Madison charged me a restocking fee anyway. Customer service was unresponsive, so I disputed the charge on my Amex bill. To settle this matter, AJ Madison reduced the fee from 35% to 20%. But there should be no restocking fee when a vendor promises one thing, and then delivers something that does not fulfil their salesperson's promise. This company cares more about increasing its bottom line with exorbitant restocking fees than they do about customer satisfaction or fair business practices.

    Full story below: The customer communication and support here is terrible. Promises are made and not delivered. I ordered a full set of kitchen appliances with them with a delivery date of October 28. When the date was coming close it was weird that no delivery notice was made so I went to my account and to my surprise one of the items was out of stock (it was in stock when I ordered) and no communication of this was made. I had to call them to make a replacement, otherwise the shipment would’ve not been done.

    Upon asking the delivery ETA the representative said one week to FL (which is this week) and which correlated with what was on the website “if you order today” would have been Nov 4 as earliest. Then an email came with the actual delivery ETA and it says November 9-21, 5 MORE DAYS than the promised “as earliest”. And that’s a horrible range of 12 days…This set me back weeks now for my renovations and the installers scheduled, which is now costing me money. The delivery carrier they used (AM Delivery) are as bad as AJ Madison. Now they pretend me to be on the lookout for an email from 24-48 hours before delivery, like I don’t have a job…. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

    We have purchased appliances from this company for rentals for several years. Purchased a refrigerator in March which failed in July. Notified company in July. As of today the refrigerator has not been repaired despite several promises. Emails and voicemails are completely ignored. Waited on hold for 30 minutes eight days ago and was told my issue would be resolved within a day but have not heard back.     I purchased a commercial dryer for one of my customers it was delivered by an outside vendor and it was installed in nonworking order. The delivery team left the building without leaving any paperwork and forged a signature on their delivery ticket, by doing this they didn't have to bring the unit back with them and instead of a direct replacement it would become a warranty issue. I have called repeatedly emailed repeatedly and have gotten on resolution and little to no communication. Don't expect anything after the sales transaction is complete.

    We spent $20,000 over the last three years with AJ Madison outfitting our guesthouse and home. All new washer/dryer (Bosch and GE), dishwashers (Bosch and GE), stoves, and refrigerators—the works. The dishwasher in our house never worked right. We had technicians out five times in the first six months before I contacted AJ Madison. I emailed the sales agent I had dealt with for all of the purchases. She referred me to Kellee in the “Client Experience” department. This is the email I got from her:

    "Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out. We apologize to hear you are having troubles with the unit. While AJ Madison offers a 30 day return window on un-used and un-installed items, the manufacturer provides a full year of coverage. Should the technician deem the unit non-repairable, GE with authorize a direct replacement and organize the exchange. Should you have any additional questions, please give GE a call at"

    Since I purchased AJ Madison’s “White Glove” delivery service and had it installed, this absolved AJ Madison of any responsibility, from their point of view. Lesson learned: don’t bother with their delivery service which was mediocre at best. Better to use someone local that you know and trust. Anyway, AJ Madison’s “30-Day guarantee” is worthless if you had your appliance installed. How would someone know the appliance was defective if they had not installed it? I responded that I bought my dishwasher from AJ Madison, and I expected them to replace a defective product they sold, just as when I bought a KitchenAid mixer from Target and it went out two months afterward. I took it back to Target and they replaced it on the spot.

    The next email I received from AJ Madison informed me that if I continued to have trouble, they would be happy to call on my behalf to schedule service. I can do that. I DID do that, several times. After this, I never heard another word from them. I thought a retailer with the bulk of appliances they sell, that AJ Madison would have the bargaining muscle to take care of their customers; obviously, that’s not the case. Several friends had urged me to use Best Buy, which took back appliances that were defective, but I thought I’d support a lesser-known supplier for better service—my mistake. I’m so sorry I ever dealt with AJ Madison. They don’t stand behind their appliances and they don’t stand behind their word.

    AJ Madison Delivered a Defective/Damaged Dryer and won't replace it. Dented/scratched dryer was hidden by technicians who installed unit in a laundry closet. Installers did not complete the installation according to manufacture instructions and left without operating the dryer. Upon operation, unit is obviously defective, thumping noise and vibration...I send video to AJ Madison. They refuse to replace the defective dryer. Instead making me wait 6 weeks for a technician to "look at" it. The video makes obvious it's defective. Complete lack of Customer Service, I have never encountered such predatory practices!! The appliance is top of line, but because I was provided a damaged, non-functional unit, cannot rate its performance.

    Buyer beware when purchasing through AJ Madison! Back in February 2022 we ordered 3 HVAC parts for our kitchen remodel and very quickly realized we did not need those items. We cancelled the order via phone with their customer service, and all was well - or so we thought. In June, 3.5 months later I was surprised to receive a shipping confirmation email and a charge to my credit card since this order had been cancelled. When I called it turns out they didn't cancel the entire order but they were going to stop the items from shipping and we would be refunded our money.

    Well we were ultimately charged the full amount and they shipped the items. After several (4+) phone calls with the customer service department they said they would refund the money and we needed to ship the items back. No problem, so we did. It wasn't until now that I realized that we were not refunded the full amount. In correspondence with Amanda S., she states that we didn't send back all the parts when we have sent back everything we received in boxes that were never even opened. And now that it's past the 30 days, AJ Madison won't refund us the full amount.

    Total fraud. Every time we called, we had to record our phone calls since they claimed we weren't telling the truth and several times we asked them on the phone to pull up the previous phone calls in order to prove we weren't trying to play funny games, but simply cancel the order and not be charged for items. Still nothing. So definitely check out other stores online for parts and pieces instead of this joke business.

    DO NOT ORDER FROM AJ MADISON! They have nonresponsive customer service and a strategic restocking fee (35%) for intentionally profiting off online customers who click on their incorrect links on Google. We documented all the wrong links and sent to both Z-Line and AJ Madison for proof and got zero response back. This needs to be addressed and is lousy business practice. For example, although they understand they have incorrect links from Google that direct to the wrong product on their site – they make no attempts to update or revise the correct links while continuing to charge an additional 35% to customers who want the right product. This is morally/professionally wrong and is a horrible strategy to gain and profit.

    More than 50% of products on AJ Madison's site are INCORRECTLY linked from Google to their site – promoting an incorrect customer purchase which works in their favor since now they can charge that 35% restocking fee, which is all profit. This is WRONG. Z-Line is unable to control its retailers as I had to call them more than a dozen times to reach anyone to rectify this mistake, and they were unwilling to support immoral behavior and bad practices from their retailers. This affects Z-LINE's reputation and brand recognition. This is an overall terrible practice.

    Long story short, I purchased an oven range using a wrong link that directed me to AJ Madison's site with the incorrect part number. I ordered the wrong range using the link, and now they will not take accountability. They never confirmed my order, and they are now trying to stick us with their 35% restocking fee policy for me to order the correct range. Z-Line has also confirmed that there should be NO restocking fee for these wrong orders since the appliances are not even stocked at AJ Madison - they are stored at Z-Line. So WHY DOES AJ Madison continue to charge a restocking fee? They do this to profit off these wrong orders that are intentionally mis-linked and unfixable from AJ's Madison's site from Google.

    I purchased a double oven for around $4500 and understood it was on back order and would take a couple of months for delivery - so called “free” delivery. A couple of months came and went, so I inquired about the status of my order via email. I was told the oven was would be delivered soon. Great! I didn’t get further instructions. Another couple of weeks pass and I follow up to see status. I get a rude email back stating that they tried to deliver but I wasn’t home? This is news to me! I didn’t get any communication about delivery.

    I ask about “redelivery” and they advise they can do that if I give authorization to charge my credit card. Sigh. I asked how much and they said they don’t know. So to get my oven, I need to send them unlimited authorization to charge my card for delivery? Yikes. So shady.     This company is very bad. When I made a purchase with them I included a 5 year warranty in my purchase with the sales man Josh. This warranty included that if anything happens to the product within a 5 year span it would be covered. After one year I am facing many difficulties with the product. They are also not even responding or assisting with fixing the issue. I also complained to Consumer Affairs, this company was not responding to them as well.     Recently purchased a under cabinet vent hood during my condo renovations. Item was not taken out of the box until ready to be installed by the contractors. Upon inspection not cosmetic damages throughout and contacted AJ Madison for an exchange. Waited approximately 30 minutes to finally speak with a very unpleasant lady that kept repeating the same return policy. Ultimately refused to exchange item. Was forced to file a claim with the credit card company I made the purchase with.

    Over the past 6 months while completing renovations I have received several damaged products from other suppliers and they were pleasant and made efforts to do the right thing by replacing the items. In particular Wayfair has been excellent in this regard and you can reach a customer service representative in minutes and resolve issues that same day. Same thing with Best Buy. This will be my first and last purchase with AJ Madison. Purchase at your own risk. If your product is received without damage then I'm sure you will be fine, but if there are any issues, good luck speaking with anyone from customer service and getting the issue resolved.

    Under no circumstances should you buy from AJ Madison! Go to ABT, or Best Buy or PC Richards or Lowe's or ANYWHERE ELSE. They sold me an Electrolux washing machine and installation service... but they neglected to tell me that the installers would not be able to complete the installation of all the features of the machine, such as the reversible door. (Washing machines come with a hinge on the left side, but in my tiny space, I need the hinge on the right side.) So now I need to hire ANOTHER installation company (a REAL one) to reverse the door, and it will cost over $300. Call me crazy, but I think that if you sell a machine on with a reversible door on your website, and you sell professional installations, YOU MUST INDICATE THAT THE INSTALLERS ARE UNABLE TO HANDLE ALL ASPECTS OF THE INSTALLATION.

    And that's not all. I wish I could post photos here to show you the state they left my apartment in. They left dirt and garbage all over the floor. Dirt was ground dirt into the carpet in such a way that it will have to be professionally cleaned or replaced. And they dumped the trash, old hoses and dirty hardware in our (full) clothing hamper. As an added bonus, they broke the drain pan under the washer! The Electrolux machine is great. I just wish I had bought it ANYWHERE ELSE.

    I ordered a Miele Little Giant washer and dryer from AJ Madison Appliances in Brooklyn NY on 26 April 2022. The appliances were stainless steel finishes and when I ordered them online there was no indication the items were not in stock. After a couple of weeks of waiting for a shipping notice, I contacted them telephonically and found out the items were on back order and would ship in June. It is now 6 June and after attempting to check the status on their website the site would not respond. I called today to find out they are closed for a holiday. I would not purchase anything from them unless you can be absolutely sure the item is in stock and can get a shipping date upon ordering.     I ordered a matching under counter fridge and freezer from their in-stock selection. Website and selection and order process were all good. I had put a note on my order and got a call from AJ Madison about that and they took into account my request (delayed delivery) due to me being out of town. Took a while to ship even after the requested delay.

    Communication via email about progress was good. My main problem started (I think) with the delivery company. AM Home Delivery (AMTrucking) was really pretty bad. Shipping for my items was included (free) but it was bad. 2 shipping/arrival dates were missed with poor communication. First failed promise date they forgot to put the items on their truck and didn't let me know... I had to call them as to why they didn't show up. Second promise was to fix their mistake and deliver within 4 days and that didn't happen. They didn't tell me the new delivery date until I called in and got it from them on the phone. Kind of seemed like the AM Home Delivery folks told me something (or made it up) to get me off the phone. Hard to tell. Third promised date they delivered. Items showed normal shipping wear and tear on the box, they had me sign 3 times without telling me what I was signing but boxes looked ok so fine.

    Unboxed the next day and found both items were damaged. One minor and the other the item seemed dropped on a corner (back corner) hard with a 1-2" deep metal dented corner. Box didn't show damage like this so not sure if mfg issue or shipping issue. I didn't file a claim as back corner out of site and it appeared cosmetic. Water valve for ice maker wasn't working and likely damaged in drop. Was able to fix but lots of complications for something that seemed simple. Took over a month from ship to delivery. I wouldn't do business with AJ Madison again because of my experience with AM Home Delivery. More chance for recourse with a local appliance company if issues than ordering via AJ Madison.

    Refrigerator gets delivered yesterday. Water isn't flowing and ice isn't being made; a clear installation issue. I call AJ Madison and first get transferred to three different people. Then, 30 minutes later, a representative says they can have a GE technician come out three days later. Ummm, I just purchased a brand new, expensive refrigerator; my old refrigerator didn't have these issues... classic installation problem.

    Despite asking for someone to come out and review the installation job earlier than 3 days from now, the representative refuses. I ask them to take back the refrigerator and provide a refund, they refuse. So they'll deliver a product, perform a faulty installation job that leaves you without filtered water or ice for three days, and refuse to do anything about it themselves. Cool.

    Because the installers have been so inept, they've had to return at least 5 times (they forgot the installation kit, they had the wrong kit) and now they created a gas leak in a line that needs repair by a plumber. It's been 3 months(!) and the dryer is STILL not installed. I've had to make financial reparations to my tenants. This has been a nightmare. The crazy thing is that they could have been the supplier for our 10 apartment units that need all appliances replaced within the next couple of years. Instead, I'm leaving this review in hope of deterring other customers.

    Looks like AJ Madison doesn’t want bad reviews on their website. They didn’t publish my review, so I will post it here: “The electric Range is excellent, but the customer service from AJ Madison is pitiful. I had a very old drop in range which was hard wired. I had to purchase new drop in range. When I placed the order online and included installation, AJ Madison made the purchase of the Accessory Kit mandatory. There was no way out of buying the accessory as they said it was needed to install the range. So since it was needed to install the range I paid $ 100,00 to an electrician to install a plug-in outlet for the range.

    When the AJ Madison installers came they said they couldn't and did not install ranges with a plug. They only installed hard wired. Which is what I had seen before I bought the new range. So AJ Madison did not do the installation, so I had to pay $ 100.00 for someone else to intall it. AJ Madison refunded me for the $ 100.00 installation I had paid them and they also refunded the $ 29.99 for the accessory that was not needed at all but they had me buy. Make a long story short, by making me buy an accessory they forced me to pay out of my own pocket an electrician $ 100.00 to install an outlet that wasn't even needed. So AJ Madison caused me a Loss of $ 100.00”

    First, I will say that they have great prices, incredible selections, and even with Covid-19 we did not mind the wait for our appliances. This is the second home we have redone and used them, the first time was phenomenal! This time, we knew we would have to wait on getting our items and we were fine with that. But the lack of communications while trying to reach them, after being on hold for 30 minutes it connects you to a voice mail, which they NEVER returned a single call.

    Just in the last 3 weeks, I have left at least 4 voicemails and never received a response. We just received all of our GE Cafe series, they look great. Though we did not buy them for the rebate, our salesperson told us that we would get a $500 rebate. I guess he did not read the fine print (or he lied), we ordered them on 3-22-21 (just received the last two pieces on 3-25-22). They were to be order 6-01-21 and 12-31-21, in order to get the rebate. I will still recommend them but I will warn friends about the pitiful customer service.

    Appliances bought Oct 25th 2021 with a promise that one item was in stock and would be delivered in 2 weeks, second item 4-6 weeks. AJ Madison order tracking website showed delivery between December 26-28th. After multiple unanswered emails, voice messages and customer service calls with waiting times upwards of 45 min each and relentless insistence from my part, delivery got set up for March 24th 2022 (5 months after order placed). Truck gets to the house and driver says that he did not know it was a residence delivery and he did not have anybody with him, no dolly and truck did not have a tail lift therefore he could not delivered one of the items that was too heavy.

    Sales associate that sold products contacted while truck driver at the house and his answer was “ We piggybacked your delivery with a builder’s job, can your people on site take care of these? They are very small items.” Meaning: items were sold and paid for, now is customer’s problem. Luckily neighbors landscaping workers were kind enough to donate their time to AJ Madison and helped to move the item from the truck. Unfortunately I choose not to trust the multiple poor reviews I read for this company and got punished for my stupidity. For your sake trust this review, after all you took the time to read it and if you trusted the company enough you would not have searched for other people’s experience.

    AJ Madison will be a great website to take your appliance order along your money, but if there’s a problem with the product ordered, forget about their help to resolve it. I’ve purchased THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS of dollars of AJ Madison’s refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, double ovens and cooktops. I recently purchased a Frigidaire gas cooktop from AJ Madison. My LP gas company attempted to make final connections to the cooktop and found a gas leak. The gas contractor detected a leak in the line & traced it to the cooktop with a pressure check from the outside LP tank.

    Called AJ Madison on 4 FOUR ATTEMPTS to speak to someone to help. Each time after an a average of 30 minutes of each attempt, I was disconnected. Today 3/15 finally was able to speak to a live person who was VERY RUDE & wasn’t interested in resolving my gas leaking cooktop. I advised that wanted to speak to a manger to attempt to resolve my problem. The resonance was “all of our managers were in a meeting.” I requested a call from a manager today and never received a call from AJ Madison.

    Ordered 4 Bosch appliances on June 24, 2021 for a kitchen renovation. Received a call from a sales rep who convinced me to switch to "in stock" options, a Lieber fridge and a larger Bosch cooktop than I needed. He told me he would "borrow" a dishwasher from another order to assure I received it. I received the substitute "in stock" appliances with no issue. Then things went south.

    I understand there are supply chain issues; however, I continued to receive marketing promo emails encouraging me to order one of the remaining items right away because they were "in stock and ready to ship". When I inquired about the status of my order with customer service, I was told that I "just missed" my allocation and I was [second, third, or fourth] in line for the next shipment. Then I'd get another email promoting the item I'd ordered. I'd forward the promotional email to customer service with my order number asking why they are promoting these items. The replies typically read, "hopefully you'll get yours in the next allocation."

    This is a BAIT & SWITCH SCAM. Over 8 months later, I finally send emails suggesting the BAIT & SWITCH SCAM and I receive an email saying my wall oven (advertised as "in stock and ready to ship") will ship and I'll receive a call in 2 business days to schedule delivery. My credit card is charged and I receive no call. I email customer service to inquire when my oven will ship and I'm informed the unit allocated to me was "damaged" so my shipment was "cancelled" and I'll receive an oven in the next allocation. No refund to my credit card.

    I go to the AJ Madison website and use "live chat" to ask a sales agent if I order today, when might I expect to receive the wall oven and dishwasher. He says up to three months. I ask if it could ever take up to six. He responds, "possibly, but very unlikely." I ask why I ordered these items over 8 months ago and haven't received them yet. He gives me the email and phone for customer service and disconnects the chat. I take screenshots and send these to AJ Madison. They suggest I buy a lesser quality Bosch dishwasher because a shipment is arriving soon. I decline. I call another appliance company who tells me exactly where my place in line will be if I order the items from them. Ultimately, I cancelled my order for the remaining items and requested refund for "damaged" oven that was allocated to me and never shipped. I ordered from a competitor.

    We bought a complete kitchen consisting of refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove/oven. Price was $4000 but with $800 in LG rebates. You could not do the rebates until you had serial numbers, so nothing until delivered. This was the issue, AJ Madison had the rebates listed with the products on the page, it said $800 in rebates, not up to or anything like that. Well, we went to do the rebates and one was not for the products (again, couldn't see that without putting serial numbers in first) and a second tells us it was expired. I contacted AJ Madison and their reply was short, call LG, not our problem, I replied, "It is partly your problem because you put invalid rebates on the site which people could not access until they got serial numbers," and they did not even do the due diligence of checking that the rebate didn't even go with the products, they have ignored my reply to this point. So, currently my $800 is $400 that LG approved.

    They suck. No communication, delivery set up, I was informed during delivery they could not install my dishwasher. I had to call a third company but they would not install due to my location. Only option was to find a new installer or send it back. No suggestions on a new installer. Three weeks after my order was entered WTF? The worst part...dishwasher was defective. I was told you have to call the manufacturer to fix. I still do not have a working dishwasher, except my wife and she is not happy. Poor customer service... buy local. Do not buy appliances from AJ Madison.

    I ordered a Miele Washer & Dryer that the AJ Madison website represented as "quick ship" in stock. I've waited for 3 weeks before ever hearing anything about my delivery. Finally delivery day arrived. A representative called and said my delivery would arrive in 30 minutes. They were a complete NO SHOW NO CALL!! I have been on the phone now for two days, no one knows where my shipment is or when it will be delivered. Absolutely ZERO customer service or concern. On hold for hours.     Do not purchase from AJ Madison if you're outside of the NYC area. It will take around a month to deliver "in stock" items and AJ Madison has nothing to do with the transaction once they third-party contractor picks up from them for delivery. You pay for "in stock" items day 1; you get the item (if you ever get it) 30+ days later. No point in calling AJMadison customer service. They forward you to the customer service of the delivery company. Delivery service will cancel/reschedule frequently. If you don't care when you get items this is the company for you.

    I have never had such an awful customer service experience. My fridge was delivered Nov 5. I paid $400 for the install. No one would call to schedule it. I spent hours on hold. Spoke to multiple people. Finally, some guy came on Dec 23 (I had a fridge in my living room for 7 weeks), and when he showed up, he said he thought it was a delivery. He didn't even know it was an install. He said he had "20 more jobs" that day, and was stressed about the time. He didn't finish it. It's still not done on Jan 14, and the trim kit is still sitting on my kitchen floor as I write this. It has been 10 weeks since the fridge was delivered. I have sent multiple emails, spent hours on hold, spoken to several associates, and no one has called back or responded. I don't know how a business can operate like this. I've asked for a refund. No response.

    I'd wish I'd read these reviews. I just went with the appliance company my designer suggested. Mistake. You can get appliances anywhere else, and save yourself the grief of dealing with this company. They only want your credit card. After that, they're done with you. I saved for years to do a kitchen reno. I spent 5 figures with them on appliances, and they won't refund the money I paid for the install that didn't happen.

    The company is fraudulent and non-responsive. Horrible customer service. Do not buy from them. I purchased a top of the line range and paid for delivery, the representative said it would be placed in "any room of the home". I then am told by the shipper that they will leave it on the curb, when I live on a highway and have no way of getting down a .20 mile drive into my home and it's freezing bitter cold outside. I had to beg and threated the shipper, who was not at fault to get them to deliver the range. In addition, I called AJ Madison a half dozen times, waited on hold for at least 24 hours, never got a call back, never got a response.

    AJ Madison charged to my credit card around $6000 on December 15th for two appliances. Today is January 11, and I have not received the appliances yet. The freight company has scheduled the delivery several times, but they had cancel at the last moment or never showed up. I found today that the delivery status of my order is completed on the freight company website, but I have not received the applications yet. After the frustration with the delivery company, I trying to cancel my order, but Aj Madison will change me 20% if I cancel it. The sales representative did not inform it when I placed the order.     I ordered a mini fridge on Nov 12th and the AJ Madison tracking system said it was shipped on the 15th. Their tracking system showed it never left the warehouse. I received an email on the 25th asking me why I returned the product. So I emailed them and showed them their mistake. They reissued the order on Nov 26. They tell me it will arrive the 20-22nd of Dec. I get a notice It arrives in the area on the 10th and I proactively call and request a delivery on or before the 15th as I’m leaving town. AM home delivery (owned by AJ Madison) scheduled it for the 16th when I’ve already told them I'm out of town. I call to tell them again I need it before that, to which they say they can’t deliver it and want to charge me a hold fee to deliver it after I return. I tell them I shouldn’t have to pay it and am told they will check with a manager and get back to me. I hear nothing back.

    I return early from my trip and call to get my delivery on the 27th. I’m told they only hold for free for two weeks. Two weeks from the 16th would be the 30th so I’m still within the window but am told I still need to pay the hold fee. I contact AJ Madison customer service who then tells me the two weeks started on the 8th when they shipped it and I need to pay the hold fee. So to sum it up AJ Madison (and their shipping company) failed to deliver originally as promised and charged me a delayed delivery charged. The hold fee was only $50 but it was the principle of the matter. They say they have a customer service promise - clearly not customer friendly. They are just slinging appliances and you can find the same price with better service elsewhere. Just say NO!

    Trust the negative reviews. Just don't buy through them. We placed a huge order and one of the appliances, the dishwasher, the main seal on it was broken. Their 30 day return policy is hilarious because it will take you more than 30 days just to reach a customer service rep, let alone get the situation resolved.     Words alone cannot describe the misery of dealing with AJ Madison. I purchased over $30k of outdoor Hestan equipment through Victor ** at AJM. About 1/2 of it arrived 3 months after the promised date, the other 1/2 still hasn't arrived. 2 items arrived broken because AJM distribution channels involve the manufacturer, the distributor, the AJM warehouse and a pathetic delivery service called AM Delivery. Complicating the issues, besides the supply chain shortages, are the fact that Hestan ships their cabinets in flimsy cardboard boxes. I bet about 1/2 of these are damaged beyond repair in shipping. Well, you can't reach a live person at AJM unless you wait over an hour, and then you are told to send an email, where you will get a response about 10% of the time in about 6 weeks.

    A replacement item took over 3 months, and they still haven't picked up the damaged item. And AM Deliveries is another disaster. They don't show up when they are scheduled and sometimes show up announced. Finally, got a response from Michelle L in customer service, who initially was helpful, but now has gone MIA. Expect to experience problems and expect to have no customer service to address them. I cannot stress enough to stay away from this pathetic retailer. If they are around after the pandemic it will be an injustice.

    DO NOT ORDER A THING FROM THIS COMPANY! They are unresponsive to everything except your credit card payment. Don't expect anyone to EVER answer the phone, live chat or email you back. You will never speak to a human. Purchased a refrigerator for my elderly mother. Upon installation, the installers broke a piece of the refrigerator making it so that they could not hook up the water line. They simply left. Did not call the store or set up a follow-up visit to repair the part and install the water line. I have called and called, sitting on hold for 40 mins or more each time. Live chat is a joke. No matter when I use chat, I'm suspiciously always the next person in line (with a two minute wait), however, no one ever answers no matter how long I sit there. I've emailed twice with no response. I've never experienced such poor customer service in my life.

    We paid for the install and purchased the water line (total of $105). To have these men just leave with no resolution is unacceptable. To have AJ Madison simply ignore my messages, never answer their calls, live chat or emails is ridiculous. At this point, the resolution I would expect is for AJ Madison to reimburse me for a repair and hook up performed by an appliance repair expert in my area.

    TERRIBLE customer service and follow through. I would award zero stars if that were an option. I ordered five major appliances last summer, and though I sent numerous emails to the sales rep asking for updated information and delivery times, he was AWOL. I contacted him to add four more items to the order, he took the information, but never placed the order, and I didn't find out until I actually needed the items.

    It took at least an hour on hold to confirm a delivery date, and I had a confirmation in writing from a manager of Oct 28, but when I called on that day, a customer service rep said they had moved delivery to next week. Without any notification or communication whatsoever. Now I've been on hold with a manager trying to reschedule delivery earlier, and after an hour the call got dropped, with no way to reach that same manager. I guess a $30k order is just not important to them. AVOID this company, they are completely disorganized and incompetent.

    I found the salesperson working chat to be extremely helpful during the buying process. I ended up buying a double-wall oven through AJ Madison, with a warranty, delivery, and a cart-away service for the old oven. Unfortunately, during delivery and installation, my new, wood floor was gouged by workmen who pulled it off a mat. (They would have completely wrecked it if I hadn't been there to tell them to stop.) Also, the delivery team left off a flange, leaving a gap between the oven and the cabinet that contained it. I approached AJ Madison's help department with the issues but my emails were ignored. Because of these issues, I would not use AJ Madison again, and would advise others from using them, unless they plan on installing their appliances themselves.

    I placed an online order on 9/23/2021 (all Quick Ship). As of 10/12/2021, I am still missing an item (microwave faceplate). AJ Madison reflects my order as "Already Shipped." I've tried reaching Customer Service 2 times. After 45min holds, I am automatically disconnected. I contacted the salesperson listed on my invoice (David **).     I ordered a dryer for $1000 on August 11 2021 from AJ Madison because it was available for delivery within 2-3 days. It never arrived. Each time I checked the order online, it said the dryer would be delivered the following week. It is now September 30 and I still do not have a dryer. Their online form is broken and they never pick up the phone, or you are on hold for 60+ minutes. I am going to have to have my credit card company reverse the charge. So frustrating.

    We needed a Bosch 36” induction glass cooktop for a new home build. Our order at Lowe’s was lost and back ordered due to supply chain issues. A desperation internet search showed AJ Madison had the item in stock on 09/13/21. We ordered over the phone and the item shipped as promised. Today we received the scheduled delivery from AM Trucking. The driver told us there was definitely broken glass inside the box. We refused delivery and the box was never opened. Since it was after hours on the East Coast, we plan on calling tomorrow. In the meantime, I discovered all of the horrible reviews! I guess I need to prepare for a fight with both AJ Madison and American Express. If I have to go to New York to file a civil lawsuit when I am not reimbursed, I will in principle alone!

    After COUNTLESS HOURS (literally) on hold waiting for AJ Madison Customer Service during "these unprecedented times," I am hoping that my saga of monumental customer service failure is finally over. In September 2020, I ordered an LG Gas Range that I received and had installed in October. It never worked correctly. After going back and forth with AJ Madison and being told that they could not send a certified LG appliance repair person to "look at it" (NOT repair) until FEBRUARY 2021, I decided that I would, instead, opt for a different range from a superior manufacturer. (Anyone who has experience with appliances would probably agree that there are many manufacturers superior to LG. I chose Bosch.)

    On December 22, we finally reached an agreement and put in an order for the Bosch with an order stating that the original LG range would be picked up upon delivery and we would receive full credit for the return. Please note that this process (ordering, receiving faulty equipment, sitting on hold, getting disconnected, being told that I was "mean" because I asked for an issue to be escalated to someone with the power to actually DO something) took me at least 15 calls and at least an hour (one time it was TWO hours) each call.

    Here we are, at the end of September, NINE MONTHS LATER. I did receive the new (and wonderful, I must say) Bosch range at the beginning of the month. There were several hiccups with the delivery. First of all, I paid for installation. The drivers (who spoke NO ENGLISH) informed me that there was 'NO DELIVERY ON THE ORDER'. They didn't speak enough English for me to even explain to them (and show them the invoice) that it had been paid for. AND AJ Madison was closed that day for some high holiday. I ended up having to find and pay for a local installer who was able to come two days later at half the cost. That worked out well, except now I had no way to cook for my family for two days.

    Second, the delivery guy was going to leave the range RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY REFRIGERATOR, so I couldn't even open the refrigerator. When I gestured and said, "are you going to push it in?" he pushed it into my granite countertop and scraped the side of it. The delivery company did pick up my LG range on September 9, but I didn't see a confirmation or an email from AJ Madison, so I called them. Again, I sat on hold and was told that my refund would be processed in "five to ten days."

    AJ Madison had nearly $3,000 of my money for the first range for more than a year now AND I paid in full for the second range (nearly $4,000). Today (September 24) I called AGAIN and was told that they had not received confirmation from the delivery company that they had picked up the original range and that they were "waiting for it". This is 15 days later and of course, there was no notification of ANYTHING from AJ Madison.

    I asked for escalation and was put on hold AGAIN. About 20 minutes later, the person to whom I was speaking came back and told me that they confirmed the range was picked up and my refund would be credited IN FIVE TO TEN DAYS. WHAT???? ANOTHER five to ten days? Ridiculous! When I asked for a confirmation number, I was told, "there is none."

    Finally, I asked for an email confirming that I'd get the refund. What I received said, "This confirms we had issued the refund. Please allow up to 5 business days for the refund to be reflected on the payment method on file." No amount, no nothing. This is the most SHODDY operation I've ever dealt with. I will let anyone who will listen know that they should go ANYWHERE other than AJ Madison for appliances. If I could give them ZERO stars, I would.

    Called to order my 90 year dad a washer. The sales rep said that he could not process the order due to my credit card not being the same address as the shipping address. So I went online and ordered the unit using my dad's cc number. A few weeks later he is blled TWICE for the unit. AJ Madison had shipped TWO units and charged my dad a $300.00 restocking fee to take the 2nd unit back. We called and called (it takes 45 min to an hour to get someone on the line) only to be given the middle finger on a refund despite it being their fault. I would rather crawl across 500 miles of shredded glass than to ever buy from these people again.

    Did not keep promise of delivery date. I made it very clear that product must arrived within 10 days or I will not put in the order. The salesperson affirms that. When the shipping date was sent, I immediately told them that was not acceptable and would cancel my order. That took a lot of back and forth. The cancellation was also done within 3 business days of sales which should have given me a full refund. They finally agreed to refund me some amount but charge me 'shipping fee' which I don't understand at all. Would not recommend this company.

    Purchased an in stock "quick ship" refrigerator only to wait 4 weeks for it to travel across the country with little to no updates or information available. It then took another two to arrive at my door. Communication was poor at best about the shipping delays and delivery ended up not even matching the time slot that was given. I had one good experience with the company and one horrible. I would not recommend as the Sister shipping company is poorly operated and the value and communication just isn't there to rely on when making major appliance purchases. The local box stores have better customer service.

    My 89 year old partner decided to renovate his kitchen and the contractor took him to AJ Madison to select the appliances. Worst mistake from the contractor. From the moment he placed the order, the customer service experience was absolutely terrible. He needed to change the fridge and the stove after and the sales guy took forever to reply. Later on when the contractor needed to get in touch with the sales person was the same story, many e-mails and never a reply. He finally had to contact another sales rep to deal with.

    When they shipped the appliances, they never contacted the building to arrange insurance documents. As a result they were unable to deliver. It was rescheduled for another day. When they showed up, they refused to take away the old appliances, even though my partner paid for the installation service, which included the removal of the old appliances. My partner canceled the order and then they said they will charge him 30% restocking fee. They were the ones who did not fulfilled their part of the agreement and still they charge 30%? Stay away from this company. It is a nightmare to deal with. They have no idea what customer service means.

    I bought over 10K worth of appliances for a new kitchen, one of which was a 2100 Vent-a-Hood. It came --to my house in rural Texas--but was missing a part. I called and emailed and--after super long hold times--spoke to several people said they would have the missing piece sent and now it's a YEAR LATER and I am still without the part. I just waited on hold for half an hour for another human to answer. The guy was friendly and placed me on a "brief hold" and never came back! It's kind of incredible how bad they are. Maybe I'll try to call them again tomorrow but I am exhausted and demoralized.

    I ordered a 30 Inch Gas Cooktop with 5 Sealed Burners, Cast Iron Grates, SuperBoil™, Front Center Knob Controls, Griddle Plate, and Conversion Kit and when I received the cooktop it did not have the griddle plate. I contacted customer service and was told they would place an order with LG for the replacement part. Six weeks later I hadn't received so called customer service again and was told the order hadn't been placed but they would make sure it was done. Two months later I still hadn't received the griddle so called them back. I have to add that each time I called Customer Service I had to wait over an hour to talk to someone. On my 3rd call after waiting an hour a customer service person said they would have to put me on hold to research but never came back, after 30 minutes my call was transferred back to the menu and I had to start the wait again.

    Finally after another 30 minutes a different customer service representative came on the line and said she would have to speak with the representative who had been working on my case. By this time I had been on hold 2 1/2 hours. I waited another 30 minutes for her to come back to the phone and tell me the cooktop didn't come with a griddle. I told her I was reading the description from the order which is described above exactly like it is advertised on the website and two different customer service reps told me they had ordered the part. She said the spec says it does not have a griddle and LG does not have a griddle that will fit that cooktop and there is nothing she can do. Awful, awful experience. I will never buy from them again.

    I purchased an $8,000 Viking cooktop from them. It was delivered by AM Trucking. When they opened the truck door the cooktop was upside down still tied to the pallet. The box had been opened and they had tried to close it back up. It looked like it had been rode hard and put up wet. When we opened the box and went to install the unit it has a dent in the very top of the unit that would be exposed when installed. Our customer rejected the unit. I do not blame them at all. NO ONE AT AJ MADISON WILL RESPOND when I tried to contact them. Their phone number does not work and the "Contact us" link is Quarantined from their provider. The trucking company will not respond other than to say contact the seller. Looks like I have an $8,000 boat anchor. Do not throw your money away. Buy from another company.

    I ordered a wall oven and paid for installation and haul away. When the delivery men arrived 8 weeks later, they informed me that they could not actually install the oven because it's a hard-wired install. They said that requires a licensed electrician. So they put the oven in my garage and left. I called AJ Madison to get them to refund the install and haul away that they deceptively charged me, but no one answers their customer service line.

    Ordered an LG washer and Electrolux dryer from this company. Delivery came as advertised. Once they delivered and I opened the package the dryer had a dent on the top left corner and the top cover looked faded. I immediately called customer service. Waited forty minutes to an hour to speak to someone to just be told to send an email with photos to their customer service department. I did so and never received a response. I called again. Forty mins. to one hour later they said that they should respond in 24 hours. 72 hours later no response. Called again, put on hold and the phone surprisingly hung up on their end. They are the worst company that I have ever dealt with. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!

    Updated on 08/19/2021: ~8 hours after install, noticed water all over floor under fridge. Water line that they installed was leaking as well as another leak coming from under the fridge. Have called trucking company and AJ Madison with nothing done; was promised callback from trucking company but we have not connected. AJ Madison with long hold times and also haven't gotten through. Called manufacturer (Bosch) because I have no way of knowing if the leak underneath is a damage issue or install issue so may be out the cost of a service call if install issue. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AJ MADISON or their shipping partner AM HOME DELIVERY.

    Original Review:

    Multiple issues:

    1) Be prepared to be on hold for a long time any time you call. My average hold time over the many times I have called has been ~40 minutes.

    2) "White glove" delivery service is nothing of the sort. The guys who installed our fridge didn't even have an Allen wrench to do the install; had to borrow from us. They hooked up the water line but did not pull the blue protective film off of fridge, level the fridge, or even test the water line. They did not remove the box debris, "we're not allowed to do that anymore." When they arrived, they didn't even have record that they were doing an install, so maybe that was part of the problem.

    3) Other ordered appliance was damaged and couldn't be installed.

    4) "Quick ship" took 34 days to arrive w/ no tracking info along the way.

    5) No apologies or understanding when calling in about damaged item and told ~20 weeks out on replacement item.

    Would not order from them again. Took refund and ordered locally. I only went with them because items were in stock and "quick ship." Lesson learned.

    Absolute nightmare. This purchase was perhaps the worst experience I have ever had in renovating and purchasing homes over the past 30 years. My salesman was really great but the shipping scheduling and install of the product was abhorrent. Absolutely zero customer service. I had three scheduled install dates all of which were cancelled (one was actually overlooked and had I not waited 1:58 minutes on the phone to talk to a person (rude) I would never have known. They actually had me living in my home for six days with no appliances (range, w/d, refrigerator). Inhumane treatment of which not one individual other than my salesman ever cared or bothered to reach out.

    To add insult to injury they delivered my range and it was CRUSHED and had to be returned. I now have to wait another five weeks to get a replacement. Not one person has called or reached out to help Or offer an alternative. When this is all done I will have lived without the ability to prepare food in my home for over six weeks!!!! Do not buy anything from this company. They should be ashamed of themselves and their work ethic. Zero stars.

    Updated on 07/16/2021: After making me wait for 40 minutes on the phone AJ Madison ended up charging me an extra 150$ for my 3rd floor walk up. They claimed that every floor was 2 floors because there was a turn. Basically they charge me for 7 steps. This company makes more money on fees than selling stuff.

    Original: My patience has limits. I ordered a simple fridge. 999$. I asked white glover delivery and installation and even paid for a certificate of insurance. First delivery: was just an attempt because they came outside of the windows and tried to charge me an 85$ fee. No way. Second delivery: they did not want to deliver because claimed it is 6floors up instead of just 3 and want to charge 100$ for every 7 steps up. These guys seem to make more money on the fees they charge me vs. The actual products they sell. Just buy on other sites please.

    Do Not purchase anything from this company, I purchased an oven-range paid $7500 for it, the oven DOES NOT WORK, I contacted them numerous times, they sent a repairman, who dismantled the oven, it was NOT fixed, he then asked me to sign on an EMPTY / BLANK page of paper, so that he can fill it out as he wanted. I have been trying to have them replace the oven for over a year. When calling you have to wait, most of the time, over two to three hours. The so called "customer Service" agents are people who are trained NOT to help. Your money is gone!, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PEOPLE.

    Do not buy from this store! I have a dryer that is still under factory warranty. It has not been working for 2 months and I can not get it fixed. I have to go to the laundromat, and I have a new dryer! I have called so many times, been on hold for hours (I am currently downloading all my phone records so I can say how many hours). These are hours of my life I will not get back. I am thinking of just buying a new dryer because the stress of dealing with them is unbearable and I have zero faith that the problem will be resolved. I tried one more time today to call, was on hold for 25 minutes only to be transferred to a line that was eventually answered by an answering machine. I have filed a case with the BBB but does anyone know what my chances are of getting reimbursed if I go buy a new dryer locally?

    I live in Northern California and I placed an order from them because when I called they told me that the appliances are in stock but the order I placed on February 15, 2021 was never shipped because most of them were backordered and they keep changing the delivery date. I had to cancel part of the order but it is impossible to reach their billing department as they charged the full amount of the items I cancelled. They have the worst customer service.     Shipping takes forever and I mean forever. If you don't have months to wait, this isn't your company. I'd also like to add that even when your stuff finally does come, it's usually damaged in shipment by whoever they hire to ship. I'm positive that what they ship is 100% but by the time it gets to you, forget about it. This happened to me with two dishwashers. I finally gave it up and got my money refunded. I don't understand how a company can allow its inventory to be damaged like this and do nothing about it with the shipper. You're talking thousands of dollars of inventory that has to be damaged out. Either they don't care about their product and reputation or they just don't care about the customer.

    I ordered a microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and stove/oven. The delivery date was three weeks past what was originally quoted. The first time they showed up, they delivered all the appliances but the installer couldn't install the microwave because he said he forgot his drill bits. Then they proceeded to install the dishwasher so that water comes pouring out of the topper, which should just act as an air release. I later discovered a part that belonged behind the oven, stating it was to prevent tip-overs, was never installed.

    I called to arrange a microwave install. Waited four hours. No show. Arranged a second install. Waited four hours. No show. Then an hour later I receive an automated call saying they will be there in 20 minutes. So I go back to the property, get there in 12 minutes and guess what? No one ever came. And all during this experience, I spent over two hours on hold arranging these appointments, and I was never, ever given a manager's name. To top it all off, my son wrote a scathing review and AJ Madison removed it. Isn't that illegal? To the lady who wants to start a class action suit, count me in.

    I bought a Blomberg washer/dryer stacked set, The washer is supposed to plug into the dryer but AJ sent me a mismatched set. All attempts at having one unit exchanged has been met with silence. They seem to count on their customers living at a distance and therefore unable to follow through on complaints. I am thinking of getting a class action lawsuit together because I bet there are now thousands of disgruntled people. I am first going to contact the BBB and see if they can or will do anything.

    They may seem like they provide a good deal. Their delivery service is awful, they provide no progress and it sits in their delivery terminal for days or weeks before you get the next update. Awful customer service. I financed my dishwasher and will already be making the first monthly payment on it before the appliance ever arrives. I talked to 3 different reps and the first 2 did not seem like they even wanted to talk to me. I was willing to give it a bit of time with Covid and everything but 2 weeks to cross the country is a bit much. My father works in logistics and can easily navigate products to cross the US in less than a week. They were supposed to call me to schedule delivery and they just appear to have forgotten and I missed the weekly delivery window. So now I am going to have to wait a week and a half because they only come to my area once a week.

    After receiving the new $3200.00 Frigidaire Refrigerator it was good for 3 weeks until the ice maker defrosted and water was all over our kitchen. Then the Freezer alarm went off 3 days later and said the freezer was not at the right temperature but was keeping the food frozen. I called AJ Madison and they set me up for service. After the service tech was out and had to order 7 parts we had to to wait. They said a couple of weeks. 2 days after the service man was out I went to check the freezer and all the food was totally defrosted and ruined.$400 worth. I called AJ Madison back and asked for a refund. They told me Frigidaire was responsible and there was nothing more they would do for me. I called Frigidaire and they said the parts were being rushed. Let us not forget we were listening to the freezer alarm 24 hours a day 7 days a week for 1 month.

    The service man came out and replaced the parts and told us this was happening to a lot of the Frigidaire refrigerators. We looked online and sure enough it was reported by many customers of the same problems. 12 hours after the repair the food in the refrigerator was getting warm and the freezer still was not functioning. I called Frigidaire and told them this was unacceptable. This time I wanted a complete refund. They told me the request would be submitted. After 3 weeks and another 30 hours of phone calls, they refunded my money again without the taxes. So I have lost over $1200 in lost food and taxes, Not counting lost wages to take time off to be here for the service calls. I believe a company should stand behind what they sell. AJ Madison did not.

    I ordered a washer and dryer from online - effortless. The sales rep put in the delivery date without consulting me. I had to constantly call both the company and their third party shipping company to get a date where I would be home. I ordered haul away and install. Third party (AM trucking) came out and obviously did not know how to install so instead they communicated that I needed a contractor to switch out a two faucet attachment valve for a single valve so they could not do the install until I had it done and would have to pay for re-delivery fee. (Side note they communicated that they could do this on their off time for $20.00 apiece.) They left all of the boxes and debris all over my front lawn when I refused to be bullied to sign their customer satisfaction survey without looking at it.

    A part was damaged and they miraculously took the box to that part. They refused to install or haul away although after seeking advice from a licensed plumber, he communicated that all they needed to do was remove the double valve and attach the water to the valve in the wall. Wrote email to AJ Madison and they again communicated that choice was a refund of installation fees and that if I wanted them to come out I would have to pay another fee for them to come back (they AM transportation took the damaged piece that I paid for) and AJ Madison also informed me that I needed to communicate with their third party installation company regarding the debris left all over my front lawn.

    I have no direct business dealing with their third party nor did I choose them. In short my property still has debris. They have not communicated a re-delivery date for the missing part and will not address the issue from their installers about a side bar hustle. The company refused to install my appliances and AJ Madison is stuck on me paying more. Disappointed at minimum.

    We ordered a $10,000 Viking appliance package back in November. We received 3 out of 5 items as promised. But the gas range and the range hood conversion kit have not been delivered. Here it is mid April. After numerous attempts to speak to the sales person (David) who always transferred me to their order status department, nothing has been resolved. They put me on hold for 30-45 min each time and after that the recording tells me I've been on hold too long so "good-bye"!!!

    After calling them almost daily, I decided to Tweet and someone got back to me right away last Thursday. She said she will look into it and get it resolved by Monday. Well guess what, that went nowhere. After waiting for 5 days to get an status, I gave up and reported them to BBB and thus this review. If you want an appliance, go to a local store where they will take care of you. These guys obviously don't care about making it right. Our next step is to cancel this order and go to a local store. We need to finish our kitchen remodel and this is holding us back!

    Ordered a dishwasher from them. The dishwasher was delivered a week later than they promised. It then took 4 separate visits for them to install it correctly (2 more weeks). No one ever took responsibility for correcting the problems--all of which were their fault. They had me order unnecessary parts to install the appliance. Calling them usually took hours because they did not respond, they transferred me between departments, the call kept dropping when they transferred me etc. Service windows when they did come were often more than 4 hours and they often arrived late.     I was looking for a particular stackable washer and dryer Samsung with all the bells and whistles. All the local stores were out and had a 2-3 month backorder. Naturally I went searching online. All the sites I reached out to said the same thing that “there was a 6-8 week back log," except, you guessed it AjMadison. They said it was in stock and could be shipped within a week. So naturally I placed the order and within a few days of my order they inform me that it would be a 2-3 month delay on the order. So I placed the order on hold and started physically searching through local appliance stores to see what they had to offer. They did not have what I wanted. So I decided to go with AjMadison “before checking out the reviews on this company” after going through with the order. The experience was a total nightmare of inconvenience, only to end up with an incomplete order and not being able to contact anyone for customer service.

    First they promised to deliver on a specific time and date. Only to renege on that date. And postpone it to another date and time. Well to my surprise it was changed again to a third date and time. And then they had the audacity to threaten to charge me for a redelivery date if I wasn’t home at the time of delivery. I wouldn’t mind being charged if they actually stuck to the date they promised. So for two days I was in my home waiting for a delivery that wasn't coming. Who do I charge for that? At the end of the day the delivery arrived (30 minutes outside/later than the time slot they gave me) and it was incomplete. So I tried calling the delivery company. They pointed the finger at AjMadison (no surprise there) saying they never added the item to the picking order. So I called AjMadison. Couldn’t reach a real person, so I left a message for someone to call me back and day two I’m still waiting. I would not recommend this company to anyone I know.

    After a long search I came across with this company and after find an electric range that I look for it, call them to see when I would get this range if I place order right away, and sale person (David **) which obviously looking to get the deal promised within 5-7 business day I will get the range and after 14 days when I called (after 45 min. to 1 hour waiting on the line) could talk to someone which didn't have any answer and have to call again and again and finally talk to a lady that said will check with tracking company and call/email me back which she didn't (same attitude with other people in this company).

    The next day again call to David and he didn't have any answer for me and just just transferred me to another line which again waiting for more than 20 min. and finally talk to Brian (he said he is) and like others he didn't have any answer and lying about the lady that would going to contact with me for the tracking information and he kind of hang up on me (actually transferred me to David which went off completely) and now another day passed no news not easy to talk to anyone. This is a horrible experience with a company and every one in this company try to escape from any answer. Just remember if you want to prevent getting into such things highly recommend to go to a local store and get your appliances directly from them and do not even think about to buy anything from them. Save your money time and stay away from them.

    We purchased a suite of high-end appliances from Jonathan ** in sales. He was extremely responsive prior to the sale, but did not respond at all after we reached out because their customer service would not respond. We had significant issues with the delivery of our refrigerator because AJ Madison did not send out the proper company that could actually move a 48” refrigerator. After two failed delivery attempts, we received the refrigerator and it had significant damage to the back, as well as multiple dents in the front panels which are visible installed.

    We have called about 10 times over the last two months (and waited on hold no less than 45 minutes each time), sent over a dozen emails pictures, pictures, and videos, and the customer service rep (Kaitlin Major) failed to follow up with us after multiple attempts on our part, and we have still not received any response from the last communication two weeks ago when we discovered that the front of the unit was damaged.

    This company has shown that they are responsive to collect money, but when it comes to providing good service and resolving issues on their end, they are extremely poor. You do not want to do business with this company. AJ Madison, if there is anyone that reads this, we spent $12,000 on this appliance purchase and you have failed on your end to provide quality products and service. This needs to be resolved.

    I ordered a Miele washer/dryer. The ordering process was straightforward. But the delivery and installation were nightmares. I couldn't get an accurate date/time for delivery. When I did get a date/time, they were 3 hours late. Then a part was broken. I wasn't able to get through to anyone to reschedule the installation after the new part arrived.     I ordered a Bosch SPX68U55UC 18 Inch Built-In Dishwasher via their website because my order with Home Depot was backordered for over 2.5 months. The week before delivery, Bosch contacted me to say they couldn't provide it. Home Depot then cancelled my order. I looked online for another provider. AJ Madison had it in stock. So I ordered it. I then checked out the reviews of the company. Eeeek: I was very concerned about the hundreds of bad reviews I'd been reading on many websites. I wondered if I should cancel. So I called customer service to see what they had to say. They answered my call in ~10 minutes. The rep was very friendly. I told her my concern. She said I could cancel but I needed to do so before it shipped and it would take about 2 weeks to arrive. I decided to sleep on it.

    Surprisingly, it shipped the next day and it was delivered in 4 days with no problems at all. The item arrived well packaged and protected, in mint condition. I received a text 2 days before delivery from the delivery company to inform me of the timeframe/window. The driver called me 1 hour before arrival. They arrived as promised. They were courteous and helpful. The dishwasher works just fine. I'm 100% pleased with the product and my experience.

Once they answered and heard that I was upset I was hung up on over 3 times in a row. It felt like the customer service dept. was laughing at me. Just decided to email to cancel order....then they were wonderful. Worked with Jon ** to reorder appliances, he was amazing, until the fridge was damaged and the microwave and dishwasher appeared to be on back order. When I called Jon and emailed him, he took forever to get back to me and I had to reach out several times. He told me during initial sale that the items were in stock. Not the case, had to wait 5 months for microwave just to call and see when delivery was and they told me the micro was discontinued. If I hadn’t called them I’d still be waiting. Horrible customer service, awful company and painful experience. I would NEVER use them again for anything.

    Absolutely horrible horrifying experience. I put in a brand new kitchen and had to order all new appliances. I chose to shop local by these guys. I dealt with Howard. To make a long story short, Howard ditches you and does not answer the phone once you place the order. I wanted to use my brandsource card, they make you email an id after I placed an in store order (why couldn’t the whole transaction take place in store, I have no idea) he promises you a delivery time and does not follow through.

    The fridge was defective. Doesn’t freeze. Ice maker doesn’t work. To get a replacement took a week as Howard is super unresponsive and only answers the emails a few hours later. Then he told me it would be delivered last week Thursday. Again with the brand source issue. I dealt with that, and she said that delivery team will reach out for a delivery window. They didn’t reach out and by the time I reached them, was too late and I had to wait for the Monday delivery. Monday was a snowstorm. Rescheduled for Wednesday. Wednesday the guys come and they won’t deliver the new fridge because neighbors didn’t shovel their snow. Rescheduled for Thursday. Thursday I get a call that they loaded the truck for the day and it has to be rescheduled. I am still waiting for my new fridge. Don’t use this company for large appliances. It’s not worth the hassle.

    Terrible customer and delivery services. Appliances were supposed to be delivered on Monday, they canceled in the last minute. Same thing happened on Thursday. On Friday I waited four hours and nothing. I called cusoumer service on Friday evening and the woman on the phone said they'll be delivered on Saturday before 12pm and I will get a call an hour before the driver arrives. That didn't happen. I just got off the phone with customer service (after waited on the phone for an hour) and the woman I spoke to had terrible attitude. She said "you know what just talk to a manager" then transferred me to a voicemail and I left a message. Still nothing from them. Stay away from this company and save yourself the headache.

    Customer service is easy when when all goes well. A true test of customer service is when a customer has a question or problem. So here's the issue, I ordered a dishwasher in September and they show it in stock. I choose this unit due to it being in stock. So far so good. They charge my credit immediately and we are off the the races. The next day they let me know it will be 4-6 weeks, okay I can live with this timeline, but they didn't credit back my card. 9 weeks, yes I said NINE WEEKS goes by and I request a delivery date, they tell me it will be a bit longer. I request someone give me a call to discuss my options. It's been 2 weeks and 3 requests for a call and no call. We are at 12 weeks now and my order tracking is saying January 1st. They have my $$ and they have no desire to make a call to discuss. This is how you can determine if a company has quality customer...on not.

    Ordered a Cafe appliance package in July and then immediately learned that the items I was told were in stock were back-ordered. Was given false delivery dates every month and was given no warning when appliances did not show up. Sales rep was completely unresponsive and it was impossible to get management to address my concerns - customer service said they were too busy to return my calls. Was also charged for the full package which should not have happened until the items were in stock to ship. Took forever to get my money back. Don't waste your time.

    I ordered a Beko refrigerator from this company without any issues, after ordering it from 2 other companies and could not get it after months even though it said it was in stock. I ordered from A J Madison and it arrived within the shipping time they gave me and was not damaged in any way. The company they contracted with for delivery was very professional and came within the 2 hour timeframe that the promised. I was surprised at the reviews I read, I was impressed with this company especially during a pandemic. I will use them for future orders.

    AJ Madison does not know how to treat a customer. I ordered a dishwasher +delivery and installation. When the delivery men came late the first time they brought a dented appliance. When they arrived late for the second delivery attempt the installer informed me he could not install the appliance because they do not offer the kit required for my pipes. AJ Madison wants to charge me a 15% restocking fee to return the dishwasher. There was never any mention of an installation kit that would or would not fit in my kitchen. Had they bothered to ask we would have purchased from someone who did have the correct kit. I do not often write negative reviews, but it is obvious that true colors shine in a pandemic. Keep in mind the dishwasher never even came out of the box.

    I have tried to contact AJ Madison almost every day for a freezer that was delivered that never worked. After waiting over an hour on hold every time the system hangs up. One time they put a service request in and 3 weeks later still have heard nothing. Emailing goes the same way. After 2 weeks someone finally replied to an email and then said they were looking into it. No follow up since (besides mine of course). The worst company ever.

    This review isn’t so much on a product, because most of what they sell you can get anywhere. This review is based on their customer service. While they may have good prices their customer service is horrendous. I bought a Kucht 36 inch chef stove in February 2018 with a 3 year extended warranty at about $150. The simmer burners have gone bad and constantly click when the flame is too low and now the stove will not come on. I contacted AJ in August. Apparently the warranty is outsourced and the company New Leaf will not touch the product until the manufacturer's warranty expires. It took me over two months to get this information. Neither company was good about calling or emailing back.

    Why wasn’t this explained to me initially when they took the $150? Now I am stuck trying to get a hold of Kucht (with little success so far) to get my stove fixed before Thanksgiving. For me it's really not about the price of the warranty, it's about the lack of communication and initial honesty. A company should not take someone's money on a warranty knowing it cannot be used if the manufacturer's warranty supersedes it.
