I got Lifelock with Norton antivirus and found their customer care to be very polite until I had issues with billing as my rates increased and they began pushing hard for me to go to an annual subscription which I wasn't happy about. Then I began getting people who couldn't understand English as if I suddenly fell to the bottom of their list of concerns. When I then got hacked and a fraudulent account was opened resulting in a call where they told me to report them to a credit reporting service when I voiced concern it would hurt my credit... they did absolutely nothing.
The worst part of the experience was trying to cancel as they seemed to be asking me for every piece of information a scammer would want to get to rip me off. I finally got fed up, cancelled the credit card I used to order and they then tried to bill me for continued services because they didn't cancel my account with them like I thought they had. Credit Karma got involved when they dinged my credit because they continued the service without my approval and they got the issue resolved.

Since I have signed up I received regular reports via email informing no threats detected and told to log into account to view activity. Only once have I been able to log in and then only after calling the Support line. Since then every time I attempt to log in it fails. Support tells me due to high volume and log in later. It has never worked despite numerous attempts.

I have Norton for virus protection on my computer. Life Lock is part of this! No problems so far. I have had these for about 5 years. They automatically take it out of my checking account when it is due so I don't have to worry about paying this.

It is a fair value for the money. They have been helpful when needed. Their merger with Norton makes them more valuable to the consumer. Most of their competitors are not very well known and word of mouth is the customer service is no better than Lifelock.

At $120 per year, it's protection seemed pricy for a fixed income. By the end of my usage I had so many breaches I didnt even care. I took the initial step of freezing credit with all 3 major credit groups. After that I felt buried in muck. I also didnt find protecting my cards and things user friendly on their site. I guess I needed more instruction. I may have benefited from more customer service interaction, but I am not sure.

I like that it monitors for me and send the alert, for less than $120 a year and compensation for up to $25,000 for any fraud committed against me. I like to be able to keep an eye on my credit score too and that part is added also. I know there are sites that claim free services but they come with problems and excess emails. Lifelock hasn't done that to me.

LifeLock seems like paying for what you can get for free...I had an opportunity years ago to have LifeLock as a sample product, and I wasn't impressed. Unless you've got a lot of investments and you're wheeling and dealing all over the place, I don't think that level of paid protection is necessary in today's day and age. If you've got a few credit cards and a couple bank accounts, just use the free automatic alerts. Set thresholds, and you'll see if any unauthorized activity is going down, and all in real-time. LifeLock might be a great option for people with diverse investments and properties/big ticket purchases, where they've got a lot of money floating around and it's hard to track or they're just feeling vulnerable, or those who do not wish to get into tech dealing with push notifications, emails, and similar alert options.

I have tried for over three weeks to resolve an issue which on April 7 (Today is May 2) was escalated to a higher group, who "would call me back within 7-10 days." I have had to call four times now because the issue would result in my N360 expiration, and no one has ever called me back. I was on hold for over an hour three times (twice with Lifelock), only to learn that I couldn't be helped because Norton and lifelock systems were merging. Two other times the system was down. Customer service has totally collapsed during the virus panic, and it shouldn't have. Panic has ruled instead of reason.

I've been using LifeLock pretty much from the get go and was satisfied with the service but not anymore. I spend $800 a year for them to monitor my credit card and bank accounts for my family and me. But for the last 4-5 months I've been receiving e-mails saying my accounts are disconnected and LifeLock is unable to support a consistent connection. Then I go online on my portal to find out my accounts are not being updated daily.
I've contacted LifeLock repeatedly over the same time period trying to get this situation fixed to no avail. The representatives I've spoken with don't know how to deal with it so they apologize and write up a service ticket and tell me a technician will contact me which never happens. I mean what exactly am I paying for. Also over the same period I've been trying to get the free upgrade to Norton 360 with LifeLock but have been told that it is not available for me and when it is I will be contacted. Still waiting. I've wasted countless hours on the phone only to get the same song and dance. My subscriptions are coming up for renewal and plan on cancelling, not worth the aggravation.

Around 4/15/2020 or thereabout, I attempted to handle a problem with my account. After updating by phone the prior weekend, which could not be done on-line and took hours, I was sent an email that my coverage expired. Again, it could not be handled on-line. I phoned only to be placed on hold for over an hour. I understand that COVID is a good excuse but people working independently and safely should not be an excuse for hours on hold. After waiting patiently, I was served by a gentleman who asked endless questions in an accent that I could not understand and therefore could not answer to his liking. I asked to speak to an American and was promptly cut-off. This is terrible customer service. I could only imagine if I had a real problem how poor the service would be. After years of paying for your service I would have hoped for better. I should be shopping for an alternative. I would like a real response. Thank you.

Every time I log into LifeLock, I am told about all of the awesome features of the new Norton 360 integration. I couldn't find any way to take advantage of these features, so I contacted customer support. I was informed that because I am a long-time customer, there is no way for me to be able to take advantage of these features. So in essence, I am penalized because I have been a long-time customer. That is a messed-up business model. Essentially LifeLock is saying that customer retention is less important than customer recruitment. I guess I should cancel my membership and re-enroll in a few months so I can get the same features.

We used Lifelock for a year and found our credit card companies and free alternatives were quicker at providing valuable alerts. We are now up for renewal, May 15th, and tried to cancel online and received a pop up telling us we had to call in. When calling in, we were told full social security number and DOB is required to verify account; as this is a security company, this information should not be asked for, I explained this and told them to check another way. After much push back finally got them to consent to the last four and DOB; however, they then wanted full address, e-mail, and last 4 of my Paypal account. I was unable to provide the PayPal account number as they do not give an account number. They refused to cancel our account however wanted to give a sales offer!

The price for LifeLock is more than competitors - but I initially signed up with them because of their 'industry-leader' claims and frankly, I fell for their commercials about how they help if you experience identity theft or fraudulent credit situations. Of course, these services aren't covered in their basic package - they cost extra. I noticed over an extended period of time that my 'Lifelock alerts' I had set up notified me of charges for me to verify many days after my bank or credit cards had already sent me their alerts. So I decided I was paying for nothing. Then I tried to cancel my auto-renewal, using their web portal as instructed. Turns out if you do that, a message pops up saying you have to call and cancel by phone.
So I called, waited on the phone, and finally spoke to an agent to cancel. The agent has assured me that my policy will terminate the day before renewal - but I have nothing in writing, no screen capture, to ensure that happens. I have already received an email saying I will be charged for autorenewal in one month, despite my call to cancel the renewal which was made a month or more ago. So, I am calling again to cancel. My advice - set up alerts with your banks, credit cards, and monitor your credit reports and skip Lifelock. Not worth it.

When I call next I'll get yet another representative that I'll have to re-explain what has occurred and hopefully I'll be successful. And then she told me if I wanted a copy of my credit report to contact the credit bureau....really! What am I paying for if you are going to send me to the bureau. She really didn’t know how to help me and just read from a script. I pay them $26.00 a month for basically doing nothing. Save your money. What started as a simple sign up procedure karma turned out to be a nightmare when I had to call back and was now speaking to someone who is trouble understanding because of the accent and was not at all knowledgeable about the product, or the questions I had. I called LifeLock originally because my social security number has been compromised, but after dealing with this company on the customer service level, I felt that their system had too many uncertainties in it and their customer service reps were not at all knowledgeable about the workings of their product. I found out my identity had been stolen, so I called Lifelock and set up the highest priced account they had available, Norton included. I received the welcome email and clicked the button, created an account, and it was downhill from there. The site never let me access the services and told me the product key included in my welcome email was in use by another account. I spoke to at least 8 "customer service" agents and none of them had any idea how to fix it. As with other reviewers, I was told to "give it 24 hours" to see if it would work. When I finally asked for a refund I was passed around and around to different agents and was finally able to get a refund after 3 hours. I literally have multiple case numbers as each person whom I spoke to gave me a separate case number.
It is incredibly concerning to me that a company that is designed to protect my identity repeatedly asks me for my full name, full social security number, birth date, email address, and telephone number. And when I get passed to the next person, they ask for all of it again. How is that secure in any way? This is a horrible company. I got my refund and signed up elsewhere.

My original review was sincere and came from the frustration of the service I had received. HOWEVER, I want to make sure everyone knows that LifeLock is looking at these reviews and they are concerned and willing to address these issues. They are a company that is experiencing growing pains and merging systems, support, and best practices. I can see that the corporate office appreciates these reviews as they would not know what we are experiencing (as users/customers) unless we tell them. ALL my concerns have been acknowledged and they are currently working on fixing them for everyone. After my interaction with them today, I am confident that they will not only address the issues, but they will make this a superior service and their reviews will start skyrocketing to show their efforts. I am currently happy with their dedication and commitment to fixing things!

LifeLock gets ZERO stars in my book. I think they used to be a good company years ago (from what I heard), but in the past (almost 1 year) that I’ve been with them, they are an unprofessional, uncaring, and unresponsive company for the following reasons:
1. LifeLock is way too expensive for what it is they do (or rather do very, very poorly).
2. It takes LifeLock (on average) 2 days to notify you of an “alert”. My back notifies me within minutes for free.
3. The very, very, few times I did call LifeLock – as I may not have initially recognized the transaction, I get sent to an offshore call center. First, it takes (on average) 15-20 minutes to get there. Once there, they are very difficult to understand. If you are lucky enough to understand them, the first question is: “what is your FULL social security number”. How ironic, a company focused on security is having an offshore (poorly trained) person ask me for my social security info. This is a huge RED FLAG. Poor business practice. Now I’m compromised by some unknown person (they refuse to ID themselves). Horrible service.
4. There are certain transactions I complete on a monthly basis that are $500 or more each. If LifeLock was such a security and intelligence driven company, why can’t it recognize the same transactions and take them off “alert”??
5. Why does LifeLock insist on sending my “alerts” at 2am my time? If it was such a data centric company, wouldn’t it know what time it is? I can’t tell you how many times the “alerts” (that are from 2 day old transactions) wake me up at 2am my time. Come on LifeLock, have some decency.
6. My bank does what LifeLock does. I have wasted my money on my account and an account for my husband. I really wish I would have never signed up. It’s a huge waste. I have driven at least 9 people that I know away from LifeLock. I will continue this mission as I do not believe it is a good company. I do not believe they have our interest at hand. They do not believe in good business practices, nor do they believe in giving us good customer service.
7. To top things off, LifeLock sent me a solicitation email - I never agreed to be solicited by them. I'm pretty sure they know that’s not okay but are taking advantage of paying members.
8. I immediately opted out of email solicitations (when I got my first one), and they are still sending emails. That is definitely not okay.
9. The solicitation was to ADD FAMILY MEMBERS. I already have my family on the service. They obviously don’t know their own customers. They are not a customer first organization as I said before.
10. I opted out again from this latest email and I was taken to a page that said I was not allowed to unsubscribe without calling them first. That is definitely not okay! This is an outrageously aggressive business practice that I believe boarders on being illegal. I’m in the process of checking this out.
11. When I called, it took over 15 minutes to get through to someone live (you spend the first 15 minutes trying to get through their impersonal automated system)! This further illustrates they are not a customer focused company.
12. As I mentioned before, the customer service people (call center) are not trained well at all. They are like robots reading a script and have no sense for the human they are talking to. No empathy. Not something you can teach. With the amount of money we pay for LifeLock, it seems they could get better customer service people, but obviously the executives are lining their pockets with the profit. It’s obviously not being reinvested in better monitoring or updating their service. See my above points for proof.
To summarize, this is a horrible company with horrible customer service, with a horrible product, that operates with horrible policies. Don’t waste your time. Run from them if you can. This is the 3rd survey I’ve taken in over a year. They have NEVER acknowledged my complaints or comments. They just don’t care.

As a 7-year Lifelock, I began receiving marketing for a free upgrade to Norton360. I have been attempting to do so for the past 3 months and continue to get different excuses about "technical issues." The past week and a half, I have had had to make no less than 8 calls, wasting about 7 total hours, while representatives ignore my request to carefully read my case number and notes so that the same attempts which failed the previous times are not repeated.
For example, I have been (1) read and agreed to the Fair Credit Reporting disclosure four times; (2) been required to agree to the automatic billing four times; (3) been told to set up passwords with BOTH email accounts three times; (4) told that the issue would be resolved within 24 hours, 48 hours, 24 hours and, most recently, "approximately" 48 hours (which have now passed); and (5) asked to provide secondary emails and a secondary credit card to associate with my account the meantime.
On one occasion, a representative said that if I wanted to migrate, my wife's secondary account would suffer, and when I asked for a more detailed explanation, the representative was vague and noncommittal about what his statement meant. Frankly, that is just a sampling of what a terrible experience this has been. Now, I continue to wait with no end in sight and my active legacy Lifelock is inaccessible because of the different accounts I was instructed to set up. I truly cannot believe how nightmarish this whole thing has been.

I saw a pop up featuring the new Norton 360/Lifelock account for an annual subscription of 349.99 and it is called Ultimate Plus. I already had Ultimate Plus but have none of these features and my annual price is 339.99.
I call customer support and sit on hold for 10 minutes. I call back and during the initial part of the conversation I am told that I am lying about my account billing and put on hold. When agent comes back they confirm what I had said but no apologies for the harsh conduct. I am told that the "NEW" Ultimate Plus with Norton 360 is for new customers and my existing account did not include the advanced features. So I get to continue to pay nearly the same price for less functionality. I called back and asked for supervisor, sat on hold and talked another person that I believe was not supervisor not identified themselves as such. Was run through the same conversation and net-net I wasted an hour of my life to find out that I am paying A level prices for the B level products and services from LifeLock. I’ve used LifeLock for a number of years. I’ve come to find out that their system is constantly losing contact with my banks! Why? They blame the banks, but when I log in to the bank there is never a problem. When I call to find out what the problem is, I am connected to a switchboard outside the US. That in itself is not a problem, however when I need to repeat myself and they put me in hold ‘hell’ that is a problem. The overseas operators can never simply solve a problem. They put you on hold for 10-30 minutes at a time...consistently! When I ask to speak to a US operator, they usually say, "But I can fix the problem!" IF they finally relent and say they will transfer the call, they simply put you on hold and nobody picks up the phone. Not their problem anymore! I am switching companies, but hope this review helps others avoid the same problems.

I was very excited to upgrade my Norton 360 membership (which has been in place for several years) to Norton with Lifelock. Had seen the commercials, believed it to be a good company. Called the first time expecting it to be no problem. Talked to the rep, then the upgrade supposedly went through and I got the note from my credit card that it had been charged. Two hours later I got an email saying my account had been cancelled. Called back, spoke to two other reps who could not explain what the problem was, and tried to upgrade. Another cancellation email after getting the notice that my credit card had been charged. Called back the next day and tried again - spoke to a total of nine different reps. The last one said they would "escalate" my case and I would hear back in about 48 hours.
Ten days later I called back, having heard nothing from them. I was assured it was just a glitch and they again did the upgrade. Got the email from my credit card. They said nothing was showing wrong and that I should expect another email explaining what I needed to do next to update my system. Nothing the rest of that day (called at 8:00 a.m.). The next day, after lunch, I got the email saying my account had been cancelled but they wanted me back and offered a promotion code for a discount. Really? Seriously? Worst experience with a company that I can remember. Good luck to you if you use them.

So the first thing a Lifelock employee asks for is your FULL social security number. Now ponder this, this is a call center not in the USA. How are these employees vetted in this foreign call center? The easiest breach is some low paid employee whose job it is to ask for your detailed information first thing when you call. Whats to keep them from selling that information or giving it to someone.
They do not need to hack anything, they can just jot down or even just record their conversations in many ways. No one would ever know. How can you trace that since it was not online in any way? This is where these "security" companies lack security, outsourcing call centers to third world countries to save a buck, and jeopardizing your information they are supposed to be safe guarding. I am appalled that no one can see the human factor there in that mistake, a HUGE ONE, and its their PROTOCOL. "Hi, thank you for calling Lifelock, can I start by getting your full name and complete social security number", says the disgruntled underpaid foreign employee in some sweat shop of a call center. I've been a long time LifeLock member, but the customer service has been terrible for the last year or so. I tried to log into my account in April 2019 and had issues, so I called the customer service number. Fast forward 10 months and at least 8 calls to customer service and I still can't log in! The last call the rep said the service plan I had was discontinued so that was the problem. I paid an additional $60 for a new coverage plan and I still can't log in! I first purchased Norton Symantec years ago for online protection. I paid my bills on time and had no problems over the years. Being a professional, I became cognizant of the need for identity theft issues and when I heard about Life Lock on Rush Limbaugh radio show I purchase it. Mind you, this was before they merged but when I became aware that the two companies have merged, I thought about why I was paying for Norton and Lifelock separately.
I am sure I am not the only subscriber of these services but what I want to stress is that when the companies merged, they did not reach out to me requesting that I merge my accounts knowing fully well that they were paying top dollar for each service separately. Why should they, they were getting more money this way as oppose to New subscribers who purchased a Norton Lifelock plan.
So being the frugal individual that I am, I called Norton to request they merge my accounts. I spent over 1.5 hours trying to do this with a representative who was not able to finalize the consolidation. What she was able to do was to cancel my Norton protection. I was told that I would receive a call from her when this was done. I was able to acknowledge 2-3 calls from her stating that the consolidation request had not been completed but gave no reason... I still was not protected with Norton on my computer and other devices as they had cancelled my Norton account.
Two weeks later I get an email stating that my Lifelock account had been cancelled and that I was not protected but they gave no reason for the cancelled policy... Now I did not have identity protection. This was very important to me as last year, I had someone apply for disability benefits using my SS#... Somehow, Life lock was ignorant that my identity via SS# had been stolen and was being used by someone.
So back to today. I get a message that a refund was provided as my subscription to Life Lock was cancelled...leaving me unprotected on both computers and my personal information. This was after I expressed at length to a representative of the Norton Life Lock yesterday that I did not want to be unprotected on my computer devices and be potentially subject once again to identity theft. I was reassured by him that I still had Life Lock protection (I renewed Life Lock subscription in August 2019 and Norton in April of same year) only to receive this "high risk" warning that my Life lock key was no longer valid.
So for the third time in two weeks I'm on the phone again speaking (in not the best mood nor telephone etiquette) to a third representative (foreign country) attempting without success to rectify their repeated mistake and ineptness. You would think that it would be a simple process but for some reason Norton does not know what Life Lock is doing and it seems to me that they are still separate companies both wanting to take your money. To add salt to the already open and bleeding wound, today I was told that I had to order a new subscription to the "New" Norton Life Lock service and that it would take 48 hours for initiation of protection and for me to to be call them to sure that they did there job right. Just to show you what I have to do anew:
1. New payment.2. Down load the new Norton Life Lock app.
3. Sign on all my devices again.
4. Wait 48 hours and be exposed and vulnerable during this period even though the money is in their pocket.
Lastly, I wish to emphasize that on all conversations I requested to speak to a manager and was denied this request. It has been very difficult to swallow that this caliber of poor customer service was all initiated by me trying to save myself some money thinking that I would come out ahead with one account but no, not so. Over two weeks, my subscriptions were cancelled without reason, I was left vulnerable to computer hacking and identity theft once again. At the time of this writing, I am unsure if this has occurred and will need to watching my bank account info and just wait out the not knowing if I have been exposed all because I did what I felt needed to be done and the most reasonable course to take. For those of you out there who have both Norton Symantec and Life Lock separately, watch out. For me, my experience has been a nightmare.

Not sure exactly, but I think I've been a member for at least 8 or 9 years and never had a problem - at least I've never had to use LifeLock. That all changed a couple of days ago when I looked at my bank statement and saw that LifeLock had gone up on their monthly fee by almost $15.00. So, I decided to call and find out why, thus began my nightmare of LifeLock support. They do not have a chat feature on their website - instead everyone has to speak to people from who knows where that can barely speak English. They could have simply just told me that my promotional rate had expired, but instead they said, someone had authorized an upgrade in my plan and that this person had done so earlier that morning (only after being on the phone for FOUR HOURS - did I find out that they were looking a phone call I had made TWO YEARS AGO).
To make a long story short - LifeLock has now charged my bank account for $24.49 and again for $34.99 on the same day (which has been confirmed by my bank). After being on the phone for another TWO HOURS, not only will LifeLock not refund the overcharges (I only want the basic coverage)... they won't even acknowledge that they took the $34.99 from me. The sad thing is that I've recorded every conversation that I've had with these people and I offered to play it back to them as evidence that they've been lying to me - I was told that it was illegal to tape them (which I told them - not in TENNESSEE is isn't). They weren't interested in hearing what their own agents had been telling me. So... first chance I get I'll be dumping LifeLock and I suggest that unless you love to speak to people who can't speak English - don't sign up with this business.

Until the companies combined... One would think the 2 divisions could or would work together to answer my question; but, this does not appear to be the case. I WANT to upgrade my accounts; but, I do not want to waste money on duplicate accounts, as they renew almost 9 months apart; yet, the best answer I can get is a definite maybe. Again, until now, I have been happy with both companies. With the time I have wasted with Tier I support, I could have cobbled together a suite of separate programs and services that will perform almost the same functions, for a similar, or lower, cost. I appreciated the time savings of having everything in one place; but, with the time I have wasted, this advantage is about gone.

Your bank will actually do the job of returning your funds. You're better off just having text or email alerts from your financial Institution. Monitor your cards. Utilize the "lock your card feature" on your online banking. LifeLock overcharges, misleads, and underdelivers! The automated system is like a circus. It's like it does everything it can to not understand what you're saying. The representatives are rude and unhelpful. Just complete and utter TRASH! Read all the reviews, they're very poor for this company. They're a Fraud themselves!

I am distinctly unsatisfied with LifeLock, an overpriced, negligible value which, while in force, actively protecting my identity, allowed my personal information to be breached & multiple credit cards in my name to be opened and charged upon. Furthermore, they failed to live up to their guarantee. The money I spent on LifeLock was a total waste and I would suggest others not waste their money on this over-hyped.

Lifelock offered a really good service when I first signed up for their service back in 2009. They were at the forefront of providing good security monitoring in a changing climate of cyber security. Though there were times that my own credit card company alerted me of questionable activity when the Lifelock didn't. Their email alerts are helpful in prompting me to take note of the latest security breaches that are custom-tailored to my accounts.
It has been in recent years they have offered a premium service on top of their standard level of security for an added price, which as a long-time subscriber I feel should not be an added cost since their prices have also risen as well. With many other credit monitoring services available today, I feel that Lifelock should reconsider charging extra for their premium service when there are more credit monitoring services available on the market for less or already included with so many offerings today.

We were told to set up an app that we were not able to install, were on the phone with 2 technical support personnel for over an hour to attempt to set up the app.
Was put on hold then hung up on twice wasting over an hour of time. When i called to customer service to again try to set the app up and ask again about the alert team calling, i was very disappointed at the condescending nature and comments made by the customer service representative whom was less than helpful, our issue is still not resolved and the fact that we are paying a company that has not actually helped us when we need them yet happy to take our money monthly for over 10 years is disappointing to say the least....Disgusted in Baltimore.

Updated on 07/09/2020: I wrote a 1-star review in Dec of 2019 about how LifeLock had failed to notify me of any of the over 12 ID Theft actions occurring on my elderly father's accounts. Well, 6 months later, it is happening again. No alerts from LifeLock. Here is what I just wrote them: "I am honestly questioning why I am continuing to pay for your services. In the past week, my father's credit file has been accessed 7 times in an attempt to open credit card accounts, get cash payday loans, and buy 2 cars. At no time was I contacted by LifeLock. The only way I discovered these were because I was notified by Transunion. So, what gives? I thought YOU were supposed to notify ME when this activity happens. At least, that's what your ads say.
Your ads also say you will work to restore credit. My father's fraudulent account has been open for 6 months at Capital One and I have done everything I can do to close it, but they still don't even show it is open, yet it is. Please let me know so that I can make an intelligent decision on whether or not to continue my subscription." I would not advise placing ANY trust in LifeLock, despite what Dave, Rush, Mark, Sean and other paid spokespeople say. The test is how they actually perform. I give them an F. You are much better off getting credit monitoring.
Original Review: I enrolled my father in Lifelock based on all the great sounding commercials after I started to get a sense that something might be going on with his identify. After I enrolled, he received over a dozen credit card rejection letters, one card from AMEX, a bill from Montgomery Ward, and an EFT from his checking account to pay an annual fee for another credit card. All of this at least 3 weeks after signup. No alerts, nothing. Then, when I call the support line, I get the overseas person who I can barely understand, who tells me after 60 minutes on the call that I must contact the credit card companies and others that have stolen my dad's identity. So, I'm left asking, "What's the value in having LifeLock?" I'm supposed to be getting a call from a supervisor sometime today, to ask them that question, but right now, I see negative value because not only can they now help resolve the issue, they never alerted me in the first place.

I morning after I fired LifeLock, a native English speaker called me to ask about my cancelled membership. His only goal was to get me to sign up again and had no concern about my stolen identity. The discussion got heated and their damage control guy was angry with me for "mocking" their Pilipino employees. I apologize for anything that led him to this conclusion. Was I angry? Yes. My problem was not with the non-native English speakers. My problem is with LifeLock for outsourcing their call centers for US calls to representatives that cannot converse easily in English. Be aware all your customer service calls will go to an India call center, with employees paid below a dollar an hour, not exactly the home of secure data services. You should also be aware that LifeLock sends monthly emails regarding any of your accounts that arent reporting (this is a common occurrence, that usually fixes itself). That may seem fine, until you receive a multiple acct warning. In a spectacular lack of security, LifeLock then sends you an email unencrypted, containing open text that identifies your financial accts by name (bank, credit union, brokerage). This is an inexcusably stupid thing to do, given their so-called reputation for security. I personally have a secure email (protonmail.com) that easily allows secure transmission of encrypted messages, so what is their excuse? NONE, so far.
I filed an official complaint with case number, but after weeks of delay, no response, and no actions whatsoever. In today's age of truly good customer service (Walmart and Amazon for great examples) this is ridiculous. LifeLock should NEVER identify your actual account locations in unencrypted communications, email, text msg, etc. This is BASIC common sense. Name, address, phone numbers are easy marks, then you provide financial info locations? Why not just send potential hackers ss numbers to finish the job. Incredibly poor judgement, absolutely no resond to complaints, and data center workers that can make YEARS worth of money selling your data in their corrupt country? THINK TWICE about using LifeLock, as they have serious internal problems.

I have been using a discounted plan on Lifelock for many years. I Called in about a problem with my login, and support said I could try out advantage plan for 30 days. The rep said this plan was better than my current plan. The Lifelock support rep said that if I preferred the plan I have been on for the last few years instead, I could go back to that original plan within 30 days with the exact same plan and price I have always had. I made sure to ask more than once that it would not be a problem to go back to what I currently have with no changes, and the Lifelock support rep said yes.
The next day I called LifeLock because I was charged for a full year rather than just one month as had been discussed with their rep. I decided didn't want advantage plan, and wanted to go back to what I already had before. However, this time, the support rep said I can't go back to my old plan. I asked support to talk with their manager and the manager also said I can't use my old plan because they no longer have the promo code I originally used through my company years ago (which was in full effect one day before and would still be in effect if they had not changed it for me). I am sure the original conversation was recorded and I suggested to the manager that they play it back to hear the discussion. The manager was not interested in doing that. Since LifeLock support made the mistake saying I could go back to my original plan, they should honor what their employees tells customers. Very disappointed.

We bought a new house a month ago, had different lenders pull credit over that time in the app process, and we even received a credit report in the mail from the bank as far back as 5 months ago. Never heard a word From Lifelock on the activity. Had our address changed last month through USPS. Again, no notification this time. Although I did receive one in May when I had it changed the first time. Credit card was compromised with bogus charges 6 weeks ago. Didn't catch that either, even though I had the account linked. At an annual cost of $234, I'm pretty sure we will not be renewing.

After 10 years I finally wised up and cancelled the service, not worth the aggravation or headache of trying to get something resolved, all they do is refer you to other web sites - literally they don't do anything except take your monthly fee, unless you are a big time movie star being compensated by LifeLock.

Lifelock is another scam that will find every reason why they should not pay you. 2009 My identity stolen by someone that worked for me a short time answering phones. I finally found out where the identity theft was coming from myself. I never used online anything for paying bills. I did all checks and balances. I found mistakes every time from vendors. Never in my favor. Lifelock used every single excuses to not be responsible. A whole online profile was done under my name. I couldn't even stop the theft. Everyone treated me like a criminal. She made a mistake by creating an office depot delivery address to her house. $41k I had to put the case together and put her in prison.
According to lifelock if anyone has access to your mail they are not responsible. This mean everyone is not covered. Your mail passes through 6 sets of hands before it reaches your desk. That's exactly what they said when I screamed you mean no one is protected if a random stranger grabs your mail and we don't even if it came from that. They needed to throw a hail mary to get out of helping and asked if anyone had access to my mail.

This is my second attempt to use LifeLock since I cancelled the first subscription. Financial Transactions did not work the first subscription and now with the second new subscription it still doesn’t work. Combined for both subscriptions I have called or reported the problem 12 times with no results. The new LifeLock comes with Norton which is a nightmare installing the software after which the LifeLock portion locked up requiring me to uninstall the software. I have had the ultimate for 3 days and after talking to support twice and being passed around to technicians who barely speak English I hung up. I plan to cancel this second subscription and will write off my monthly payment as a lesson learned twice! The addition of Norton is not a benefit in my opinion and the website is confusing to navigate.

I called to confirm that LifeLock could assist with "problematic" identity confirmation at 2 of the three credit agencies. (My SSN was recently breached). I stated I was not interested or need the Norton 360 software/services on any of my devices. The answers from the agent were: 1. I have a different skill set here and I'm very good at my job. 2. No the entry level products won't help you, you need our "premium" product and 3. The standard legal disclosure was repeated at least 3 times, in substitute of an answer if they could help ....
Of course the sales agent could verify my identity and suggested that I wait for the welcome email packet.... That arrived with all of the instruction for downloading another dense N360 software, and instructions for my dashboard. Attempting to sign in, was a disaster, there are at least two portals, but my acount wasn't known to both sites. Finding the personal dashboard was not straight forward at all. Once I signed in, I was presented multiple options for "upgrading" the $275.00 purchase made just that day before. It appears there's more implied assistance than actual, and this needs to be DISCOVERED. And the sales associate, was simply disingenuous. I may post my future experience after seeking adjustment on what I was 'SOLD' as addressing my needs.

I have 6 case #s and the last call I made today resulted in an escalation with a promised return call in 48 hrs to 1 WEEK. This is totally unacceptable. Since 10/23 we have had no access to our LL account and no one has been able to even start to tell me why. Surely we are not the first LL member to add Norton to their existing account. After purchasing LifeLock I tried to open a bank account and was denied, because a company called ChexSystems had me locked. I temporarily unlocked everything through my LifeLock account and still no release. I later called LifeLock and asked for support to unlock and remedy this situation in which I was informed that they did NOT help which such situation. I proceeded to tell the service person that the ad on TV clearly stated that they help with ** situations. At that point the conversation went south when the service person proceeded to repeat over and over again with no offer of support. I proceeded to ask for their supervisor which lead to 15 minutes on hold only to be told they did not have time to discuss my issue.
In the end I received no help or satisfaction from LifeLock and am 1.5 months in process trying to get this company to release me to open an account. I WILL NEVER BUY OR DEAL WITH LIFELOCK AGAIN. Anything you do on their website can be done on your own, they send you to the big three credit bureaus to open accounts anyways, all they are is a collection point that you pay for that are actually free sites! Lifelock monitoring did not pick that up to alert me, nor did they help me when I called them to inform them. When I asked why I was not alerted they said, "That is a good question". I have had LifeLock about 9 months. The first 7 or so months, everything clicked along in the background almost seamlessly. But now for the past 2 or so months, my accounts get disconnected almost every day; bank accounts and credit cards. I have called and called as well as checked with my banks and credit cards. It is so frustrating to spend sooo much time on this almost every day. And now no one can tell me why my M/C can't reconnect. I don't know if it is worth it at this point. I keep being told by LifeLock support that they are submitting a ticket and give it 7 days. Nothing is resolved after waiting. I was told today that since I was able to get my bank accounts back reconnected that there will be no future problem. I told him that it will reconnect but then the next day will get the LifeLock message that my accounts have been disconnected...again!

My wife tried to set up her account online. LifeLock pulls erroneous data from public records which then screws up your account creation requiring a call to customer service. They could not even figure out that my wife's relatives have been dead for years, yet LifeLock asked for their ages. They can't seem to separate my wife and someone else with the same name elsewhere in the neighborhood. So what good are they? It took several calls which lasted over an hour each to get the account creation straightened out. We paid for a year service for myself, my wife, and daughter. Our one and only credit card got hacked. LifeLock did not catch it. We took out a large auto loan. LifeLock did not catch it. They are pretty useless if they can't detect these items.

Updated 10/11/2019: I spent over an hour on the phone with a LifeLock support agent. None of their offered approaches worked. Agent finally said to log into my bank account online and change my bank login credentials. I don't think so cupcake! Turns out that Lifelock does not support Capital One Bank. Called Lifelock billing to cancel my service, and that support person told me that while not monitoring my bank accounts or credit cards, that Lifelock did provide me with some "service", but not all that I was paying for. Solved the problem by having to forcefully request that I wanted my service cancelled and I required a refund. I was less than a month into an annual subscription. They cancelled my service as requested and said they would be refunding my subscription - hmmmm we'll see!
Lifelock support is useless, and they do not provide any useful information, and by my experience, obviously could not care less. Looking at the reviews posted here, the vast majority of respondents indicated similar dis-satisfaction. After being burned by Lifelock and their double-talk, I would recommend just using the bank's own internal security systems for bank accounts and credit cards. Cost is generally $0.
Original Review: Several weeks ago, I received a standard email saying something about my account being "disconnected". The text in the message uses language that may be relevant to Lifelock, but to a subscriber it is just techno-babble. Tried working through Customer Support. Slow to respond and they do not address my problem. It appears that they don't even read a subscribers response. Problems still not resolved!!

When I signed up for LifeLock it seemed like a great idea but immediately upon getting set up for this "service" I found that I really did not have the computer skills to understand what I needed to do to utilize the full service. I tried to reach out to Lifelock but could not get an actual human to help me. I made the decision that I was probably just that I did not have enough computer skills and that the service would alert me if I was not "protected" by them properly. Apparently, that is not the case and when I have tried to get certain issues resolved I get email responses to my requests for help that have nothing to do with my actual problem. If you are a millennial and have never known life without a computer you will likely be just fine but for all other people, approach this "service" with extreme caution! DO NOT expect actual support.

I had to supply them with my social security number, the amount I paid, the coupon I used when I made the purchase, the name of the other person on my account, but I couldn't answer which year I first started using Lifelock, I did tell them it was the year of the Equifax breach, and I couldn't answer when was the last time I called them and why I called them. I don't ever remember calling them.
The customer service rep then told me she had to lock my account because I couldn't answer the last 2 questions. She also said the only way I could cancel my account was to login to my account online, but they won't send me the password reset for my account. The supervisor I spoke to said the only way I could verify my account was to fax them a series of documents I don't have. I told them this was fraud on their part. I will file a dispute with my bank. Someone hacked my account and changed my username to their email account making it impossible to log in. I called LifeLock two hours after the hack, I spent two hours on the phone with them while being transferred four times and explaining the problem four times. One of the representatives emailed my case number to the hacker's email address.
I then demanded a new case number. They refused to help me fix my account and reset my email to my original and only email account. They said someone would call me about my case in 2-3 business days, I waited and called them back on the third business day. They said I needed to wait longer and keep an eye on my account for suspicious activity, I reminded her I don’t have access to my account but the hacker does. She said “oh, yeah, sorry” and still refused to reset my email account. My account was stolen on August 23rd and I still haven’t heard from anyone and I still don’t have access to my account, but my hacker does.
