    I am happy to say that we never receive any phone calls or e-mails from LifeLock about our accounts. However a few weeks back I did open a new checking account for my mother and my name is also on the account. This means that my social security number is also on the account. LifeLock called the very next day when the bank was processing the account and also sent me an e-mail that someone was using my social security to open a bank account. I gave them the info needed that it was me.

    The next day LifeLock called again and also e-mailed me that a bank account was opened using my social security. I called again and said it was OK that I had opened a bank account for my mother with my name also on the account. I now know and my husband as well that LifeLock does monitor our social security numbers and bank accounts. Again we are happy with LifeLock. Happy with no phone calls or e-mails which means no problems but also very happy that they are truly monitoring our sss numbers and accounts.

    Kind of silly isn't it when e-mails received headline "you want to hear from me" then proceed to send the message in unreadable code. When brought to your attention the response, in effect, was that you were having trouble with Charter.net. Is that my problem? You are selling a service. You have the ITs. Tell them to solve it. I guess your service is OK since I seem not to have a problem. But what good is it if I can't read your e-mail and your only suggestion is that I ought to download another thing to correct the problem. At age 82 the only thing I want to download is another year of good health and even LifeLock can't guarantee that. Otherwise, if something significant goes south, please have someone who speaks clear English call me. Thanks. Nice to have this opportunity to vent.

    Hey... I just started LifeLock and got my first credit score. But the score seems it's wrong or made up. 1st, Credit Karma's score is very different from what I have in LifeLock and Credit Karma's one makes sense to me. Dudes...     Someone in Jacksonville used my name, telephone number (I think that is how the collection agency got the number), and social security number to open a Comcast account and then stopped making payments. The bill they left was around $1,340.00. LifeLock communicated with Comcast after I sent in all of the materials needed to prove that I live in Tallahassee and it was not me and got it solved.     For $10 per vendor you can freeze your credit report with each of the 3 major credit bureaus. What I was most disappointed with, was the immediate rise in cost for a dependent whom turned 18 while I was subscribed. Every major insurer from automotive to health will allow me to keep my child on my existing policies as a dependent, but LifeLock immediately began charging me as an "Adult" for his policy. This to me seemed highly predatory.

    LifeLock seems pretty obsessed with moving you up to higher "value added" subscriptions which purport to offer more actual benefits. Seeing my credit score – great, but for the money each month if they wanted to do the legwork to CHANGE my credit score, then I'd have been more apt to have kept my subscription. Logging all my credit cards and keeping watch over my bank accounts – great, these are things that my bank or credit card companies do for me, also. Centralizing it – great, but it's not worth paying a greater and greater amount for what is marginal value in excess of costs. Bottom line – save yourself a lot of money, lock your credit reports and save the letters with your PIN so you can unlock it when you need to.

    I wanted to use LifeLock for years but always put it off, believing that I wasn't too vulnerable since I didn't use credit cards much. Debit card, yes, credit cards, no, but rarely at big stores. Then I dodged the bullet when OPM got hacked but it made me nervous. When my cell phone company got hacked, I finally took the plunge and signed up for LL. It's all good, but I get frustrated since one of my three accounts has to be routinely reconnected and another initially connected but now never connects, due to something in my bank's computer set up.     I called LifeLock and the rep. in customer service told me that since someone used my information to open a credit card account your company does not cover any part of my situation. He told me it was a financial information and LifeLock doesn't cover financial, or fraud. I just want to know what in the hell do I even need LifeLock? I was told in the beginning that LifeLock had my back, hahaha not true. Someone bought a h-p printer with my paypal info and a new account card for Paypal. Someone attained property that was not me.

    We recently started re-financing our home to get a lower interest rate. As usual there are the Credit Checks which you would expect so when LifeLock sent me the alerts I checked them out and then cleared them. But at the same time I purchased some software online and during the check-out procedure it asked if I wanted a credit card. I clicked the No Thanks box and went about checking out. Then I was asked to verify my info so I did. The next thing I know that same company was checking my credit and had in fact set up a credit account even though I had said No. When I reported it to LifeLock the representative said this is becoming all too common and people don't realize they've had an account started without their permission.     My bank initially recommended LifeLock protection. Eventually, as I began to notice the additional forms of protection offered by LifeLock, it seemed like manipulation. If these additional forms of protection were so good, why didn't Lifelock just add them to existing accounts, instead of offering varying levels of protection. So, I secured protection from a source other than LIfeLock. After a year of comparing the service I received from each source, it was very clear to me that LifeLock was the least favorable, so I cancelled my LifeLock protection.

    I have been a member of LifeLock for almost 18 months . During that period, I got one auto loan and two credit cards. I never received any Alert message from LifeLock. I called LifeLock and was told that I should not worry. If anyone misuses my SS #, Lifelock will spend up to a million dollar to fix that. Frankly, I am not fully satisfied with that answer. I do not want a problem to happen in the first place.

    The second thing that your representative told me was that the lenders I used must have given me the credits because of my previous history with them. That may be true for the two credit cards. It cannot be true for the auto loan because I bought the car from that car company for the first time 25 years. I have no complaints against the LifeLock representatives. They were very polite and courteous. My concern is about the system or technology you use to monitor accounts. It is obviously not picking up everything. These are my thoughts. Thanks.

    I signed up for the service for myself and my husband. It wasn't clear to me that my spouse would be charged separately, all I saw was add an additional family member. The $195.00 fee was expensive for us, we are seniors on a limited budget, but I thought I'd try it. Then after the monthly trial, I got the alert that my card was being double charged the same fee. I called, and was told about it being an individual fee so I cancelled it. They cancelled everything just fine. Now I'm left wondering what you do with the private information you now have on us and if you'll be hacked next! They cancelled the service, but no one could tell me our information would not be in the system, or that it would be safe. That in itself is disturbing. I'm not happy and would not recommend the service to my friends because of the risks you have to take in trusting your company.
