My 7 year old Shih Tzu had a very bad reaction. About 20 minutes after applying as directed he acted like he was in pain, running around, crying, not being able to settle down. Nothing on the package saying anything about what to do if dog has a bad reaction. Had to go online to find out what to do. He was in misery for about 12 hours. Bathing and aloe Vera helped finally, plus I gave him a calming med. I will never use their products again.

Sentry Purrscription was applied to two adult male cats. Both cats lost hair where the application was placed, and are completely bald in the area. That can't be a good sign!

We bought some Sentry Calming collars in May of 2022 for our cat. He was having a rough time adjusting to another cat that was in our home. In October of 2022 he began to have severe trouble breathing and was drooling. My son and I tried to get him to the vet, and he died on my son's lap in the car due to respiratory failure. He was such a healthy boy and had no issues prior to using these collars.

I applied this on my cat as per the directions last night, early this afternoon. I noticed that I could see a bloody spot on the back of my cat's neck…. Immediately ran and washed the product off as best I could. I have used many other products on my cats throughout the years for flea and tick without ever having any issues. I decided that I would try to save a few dollars because money was tight and I needed flea and tick medication ASAP and I have never regretted it more. If you care about your pets don’t take the risk! Honestly, I should’ve come and read the reviews first

No star on this one, purchased through “Chewy”, I’m losing one of my cats, very ill because of this flea med. I put this on my cats just over a month ago & they got worse, especially my older cat, scratching and biting :’(

I googled to check & see Sentry’s effectiveness on tapeworms. I was doing this because I bought Revolution+ as one of my feral babies has tapeworms. After I applied, I realized that this one-stop product doesn’t resolve a tapeworm problem. So, I pulled a box of Sentry that I purchased earlier, and it does treat Tapeworm Larvae! Unfortunately, I have to wait three weeks before I can apply the flea larvae-killing Sentry. Double-checked the ingredients to make sure the box was truthful. Yes, Pyriproxyfen does kill flea larvae. It’s also a medication that keeps flea eggs from hatching using hormones that are not harmful to cats.

Etofenprox is the other ingredient. It is not highly toxic, but it can cause neurological side effects in some cases, and so can all of the other brands - regardless of cost or popularity. I’m not a voice for Sentry products at all, some are well below standard, but this one is okay unless your cat has a rare neurological reaction, or the fleas have built up resistance, like they can to any other product on the market using pesticides for flea control. The cat in the photo has lived with me for the last 16 years. Her name is Luv.

Several years ago she was accidentally double-dosed with an earlier product and had a bad reaction. I lived in the country, no emergency vet available. I did the only thing I could think of and washed the application site with soap and water. Her tremors were reduced within minutes and gone totally within a few hours. So, if you plan to go to the vet or not, first, carefully wash the area where the drops were placed. It can’t hurt and it may cure the problem. Also, cut this product some slack; it has the same ingredients as more expensive products, and it’s easier on the finances if it solves the problem. I would be able to recommend with caution, just like I would with any flea treatment.

I bought this product from Tractor Supply and put it on my very healthy 12 year old black lab. She got very sick. She would not eat. She had diarrhea and could hardly walk. After a several days her hair fell out and she had sores at the spots that I applied the product. I have used other products like this before and have never had a problem. I bought it because it was on sale but would not think that a product could be sold that would make my dog this sick.

My mother put this on her collie mix and when I got home the dog was fine..her normal happy self…5 minutes later…she was lethargic, no control of bowels, vomiting, unable to stay standing. As soon as I put her in a bath a scrubbed the product off..she started to perk up some…I get tail wags again!!! Now she’s on her way to the vet for an emergency visit! Thanks Sentry!! Take your product off the market! Something that’s to help these pets can actually kill them!!!

My poor kitty. Was between vet visits and didn't want her to get fleas. Normally use revolution. She is 18 and has been having arthritis issues. I thought she was in pain from that, just getting worse. Vet didn't see her right away or catch it when she did. Put her on ** for pain, which is also anti seizure. (*thank god!) She had it on for 2 weeks. I bathed her and she looks more herself. DO NOT USE THIS! IT WILL HARM YOUR PET!

These drops were used on my mom and dad's 15 year old healthy cat and she started vomiting, disoriented and refused to eat or drink. She was taken to the vet where she was diagnosed with liver disease which she did not have beforehand. I would NOT recommend this product for any fur baby. IT SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM SHELVES AND THE COMPANY SHOULD HAVE TO PAY ALL VET BILL TO SAY THE LEAST!
