    I bought the 10 lb bag, along with other items on August 15, 2025. As of August 27, 2025, 13 days later, items still have not been received on my end. Food has now been compromised sitting in hot delivery carrier trucks due to the hot weather. Customer Service could care less. I will never buy anything on line from Petsmart again.

    Yesterday Am (Thurs) at the store at South Park Meadows, I brought my little tan Chihuahua/whippet in to get his nails clipped. The young ** guy with dreads/twists entered all my info in, and I told him that his nails were long, and whatnot. I told him that I was alone w/ 3 dogs, and I don't have any help, and that I isolated them w/ me, and whatnot. I had no idea if my dog would sit still because I traumatized him w/ me trying to clip them myself. Well, sorry to say they looked like crap! When I checked out I asked 4 the mgr. and asked him if he could redo them or this one that was super long. No problem, but I felt like I was discriminated because I know what the tech was saying.. He was saying that my dog wasn't sitting there and letting him do his nails.

    Well I was watching him clipped those nails through the window where you can't see it's like tinted in a way but you can see and I was watching to see if he was going to be uncooperative and he might have been but like I said that's my fault but they look like shit. He could have waited and had somebody else because when I took them back in there the lady that did his nails, they came out beautiful like they should have and I really appreciate the manager allowing me to get them redone.. He made a comment I should bring him in more to get him use to it. I see what he's saying but I don't agree with it because you can't tell me that my dog is not the first dog to go in there this very uncooperative??? You just can't! Anyways, I don't have money like that to throw around and get a bad job gone?? You feel me? Well, I just wanted to let y'all know. Thanks.

    I am beyond disappointed with PetSmart. I had to bring my dog FOUR separate times for a simple haircut, and each time they failed to get it done. Today was the last straw — I left work early to make the appointment, only to be told the groomer was sick. Nobody even bothered to call me in advance to let me know. To make matters worse, the staff was extremely rude, as if it was somehow my fault for being frustrated. Their idea of fixing the problem was to offer a “discount,” as though a few dollars off makes up for the wasted time, gas, stress on my dog, and hours I had to take off work. Absolutely insulting. This is completely unprofessional and shows a total lack of respect for customers’ time and pets. If you care about your pet, your time, or basic customer service, do NOT go to PetSmart for grooming. Their incompetence, rude staff, and lack of communication are absolutely unacceptable.

    I took my dog to the doggie daycare at the Pelham Pet Smart located 830 Pelham Pkwy, Pelham, NY 10803. They have cameras so you can see how your dog is doing. My dog is neutered and friendly towards other dogs. They kept my dog caged all day. I kept checking the camera, but never saw any of the dogs playing in the rooms except for the little ones outside, where the customers can see. When I picked up my dog, they had no excuse as to why my dog didn't get to play. They just gave me a 50% discount. He pee outside the store for a long time showing that they didn't even take him out to pee.

    Brought puppy in for 1st haircut. Jerrat was groomer. Shaved him, it was all patchy, does not look like the same dog. I question because he seems bigger than my puppy and has been acting different, he also has been constantly scratching himself since returning home. When I voiced my concern to the manager, she had an excuse for everything, says hair will grow back. I recommend staying and watching them or just take your pet elsewhere!

    I had a 9 am appointment. I called that I will be late and showed up at 9:08 am. Around 9:15 am a girl with a shaved side and purple pony tail came out, heavy set girl ignored my dogs and went to the person behind me and asked questions. RUDE. I was first. In any event, There was a line in the store away from the grooming salon and waited a half an hour to get in to talk to someone. Once I got in I told the person that my Milo had scabs on his back from allergies, (that's what the last grooming person said), and they refused service this time. Grrr. I grabbed my two pups and left. Michelle is missed and the whole grooming store needs to be revamped..The bilingual new guy in the front is so busy telling you his story where he worked, I was like, "Get me out of there." Horrible.

    On July 17, 2025 I took my dog to get groomed at PETSMART. WHEN THE STAFF BROUGHT HIM to me he was very erratic, crying, and upset. I literally had to carry him to my car, and home. Once home, he would NOT eat or drink, he was crying,. I began to look over his body and saw deep cuts made with dog clippers, shaver, and grooming tools ALL OVER MY DOG STOMACH, BACK AND BUTT. HE Could not sit, lay down, or walk. He just kept crying. I reached out to PetSmart to find out why was my dog mutilated, and cut up all over his body. The groomer did not have an answer.

    I had to take my dog to the vet to get treated for all his deep cuts and bruises all over his body. My dog was given several shots, and antibiotics for his wounds. My dog was literally abused by PetSmart groomers. I do NOT RECOMMEND anyone to bring their pet to PetSmart for grooming. No dog should have to go through abuse at the hands of people who supposed to groom him, Not abuse him.

    I took my 18-year-old dog to get his nails cut. I took him right before his checkup at his doc. appointment. They made my dog cry out two times. They hurt his leg. When asked to see the video, they refuse and no longer have it.

    This place is the worst ever. If I could I'll give, ---10 stars. There customer service is 00. If you love your pet don't go there. They sold me a broken item and don't want to replace it. You're complaining the manager, they want to call security. Really? I'm going with you all the way. $10 item and those billion $$$ selling broken items. Shame on you.

    Disappointed. I’m a repeat customer for grooming my dogs. Once home from grooming I found his left ear had been cut and no one mentioned it. Very disappointing and will not be returning. Lack of attention to detail and rushing to get done.

    I left my dog in the care of this location on July 15, 2025; the PetSmart team and specifically supervising store manager Michelle endangered my animal and did everything in their power to absolve themselves of liability. There was a complete breakdown in protocol, policy, supervision, and care that led to the endangerment of my animal. While under the supervision of the groomers and PetSmart team my dog sustained injuries to his paw and mouth that led to bleeding. My dog, before I was informed, was transported to veterinary care that I was not familiar with.

    The team shared confusing and contradictory information during the process of sharing my animal's status. The information and possession of my animal was unclear while the team was legally responsible for making decisions for his medical care. The team came across frazzled and unprofessional and as they seem to prioritize absolving themselves of liability instead of providing customer service and focusing on the wellness of my animal. The team attempted to leave my animal at a location that they were not willing to email to me.

    The patronizing and rude tone I received from Michelle the store supervisor was extremely disconcerting, which only exacerbated the alarming circumstance. Before picking my dog up, the team shared that they would never be willing to groom my dog again. When I picked my dog up the team provided no receipt, no report of the incident and shared with me “that nothing happened”… And to never come back. If you care about and value your animal, I’d advise avoiding this location and team.

    When my veterinarian closed her clinic she gave me a prescription with 10 refills. I mailed that prescription (original copy) to PetSmart and they promptly filled the first order. Before shipping the second order they changed pharmacies. I've now been talking to multiple people via email and phone for two weeks regarding approval of my order, to finally be told that I need to mail them a new prescription or have my vet call, two things that are not possible. My cat is suffering and I need to either let him suffer for months until I can have him seen at my new vet, or pay a lot of money and drive 1h to the nearest emergency clinic. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Do not trust them with your loved pets!

    I took my dog to be groomed at the Aliso Viejo, California PetSmart. I received a call that there was an accident and my dog got a small nick and they transferred him to the Banfield hospital at that location. When I went to see him, there was a huge open gash on his leg and they had to glue it together to close up the gash. My dog was traumatised, shaking, wouldn’t eat, started getting an infection in one of his eyes and in tremendous pain. They took no accountability, refused to fire the Groomer and did nothing to rectify the issue. Horrible groomers, please do not take your animal there.

    I went online to check the availability for ZODIAC Infestop for Cats over 4kg. The online said it was in stock at the store in Chatham, Ontario. I drove 20Km to the store only to find out that in fact, was not in stock. This was a waste of my time and gas. I went back home, check online store information again and it still showed this product was in stock. Petsmart does not keep store information up to date. I will not be going back to Petsmart again, as I don't know whether or not the product is in stock.

    Signed up for dog food subscriber and save because said be here in 1-2 days and good price beat Amazon Prime. BUT 3 days passed and not here!! I’ll try for day 4. I did cancel subscription and went back to Amazon, that order will be here in 2 days. Let’s see which store gets here first. Customer service did nothing but verify it was to be here already. Thanks a lot !! She also said I can go to local pets for a refund today. That store is 45 miles one way!!!!

    Review for PetSmart Store #2324 (Visit on 6/14/2025). Receipt Info: Register R-101 | Transaction T-78696 | Associate **. I had a very frustrating experience at this store and feel compelled to share it. I visited PetSmart #2324 on June 14, 2025, to purchase dog food using a digital gift card I had received. When I got to the register (R-101), I was trying to scan the barcode from my digital gift card, clearly struggling for nearly two minutes. The employee (Associate #**) stood there silently and watched me the entire time without offering any help. Finally, I had to ask, “Aren’t you supposed to scan this?” Only then did the associate respond and say, “Oh, is it a gift card?”—and finally scanned it.

    Even after that, the remaining balance was paid with my own card. But as soon as the transaction was complete, the employee turned away abruptly without a word, clearly annoyed or upset for no reason. There was no “thank you,” no basic customer courtesy—just a cold, rude attitude the entire time that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. I left the store thinking, “I’m never shopping here again.” PetSmart needs to seriously train its employees on basic manners and how to properly treat customers.

    I have been taking my Siberian Husky Justice to this East Hartford CT location for almost 7 years; today was the worst and final visit the red flag was when they called and ask me to bring him early. I did but still had to wait 15 minutes to be checked in, they called 2 hrs later and said he was ready. However, they were not able to complete all the services and that he was stress. After picking him up the advised me that they will not be able to service him anymore, this was told to me by 2 employees with limited and minimal excuses I then ask: In 7 years how many issues have there been to which they had no response, I did notice in the last 3yrs the high turn over rate and shorter grooming hrs. Lack of training, unprofessional staff and not wanting to devote time effort. Judging by the similarities in reviews they find excuses not to do their job, Petsmart should just focus on selling products and leave grooming to professional establishments.

    Made an appointment to have my German shepherd bathed and brushed. When I got there at my appointment time they told me I would have to bring him back 3 hours later. What is the point of making an appointment if they are going to bump you cause of walk ins or overlooking? I drove an hour to get there from my home. No worries, it surely won't happen again. I'll try petrol or tractor supply.

    Very disappointed the staff from the PetsHotel, they don’t know to do the job. They don’t have a clue how to do the right registration….etc. They don’t deserve their paycheck! They need more training! They don’t call Me. They call my Daughter, I put Her on the emergency paper. ☹️ Never again. I am not going to leave my Dog in their Hotel.

    Poor grooming for 20 lb mini goldendoodle. Razor burns inside hind legs, pads on front feet and between pads injured and hygiene cut left her red and swollen. When I arrived after 3 1/2 hrs. The groomer was struggling to clip the nails on the front paws and wrestling with the dog. Very rough handling adding to her trauma. It's the 3rd groomer I tried at this location: Garner NC

    I do not recommend PetSmart grooming and inasmuch. I do not recommend PetSmart any longer. I took my dog into PetSmart, Georgetown, Texas today for grooming. I had taken the dog in yesterday for a flu shot, and for a rash. The person that was sitting at the reception desk in the grooming salon was nasty arrogant, and it was obvious that she didn’t want to be there at her job. If They treated me that way, imagine how they would treat my dog when I am not there.

    The arrogant 27-year-old first looked at my dog and says what’s wrong with my dog, then we had forgotten the latest rabies documentation. She said she couldn’t take the dog unless it was up-to-date and she had a copy. I asked her if she would mind Contacting my veterinarian and we could get that information. She said not likely because the veterinarians won’t give the information out.

    I called the veterinarian's office and ask if she would give the rabies information and I could give it to their receptionist. The receptionist said, "No I need to talk to her." I handed the phone. She asked about the rabies then she started asking about my dog condition, etc. etc. and I thought, "The hell is she doing sticking her nose in my dog business, she had enough problems just conducting her own." I asked her if I could see the manager and she pointed across the way, "That’s her," she stated.

    Since we had been using this PetSmart for somewhere between seven and eight years, we knew who she was and I asked her. I said, "Did you listen to that?" She said yes, and she started talking and talking defending the the employee, never once letting me say a word. Finally, I had to ask her to please be quiet and I will state my concerns and I told her that in dealing with customers it’s always nice if you listen to what the customer says first and what their wants and needs might be and then you can answer them appropriately, but all you start doing is talking nothing is accomplished, she told me to get the hell out.

    I said, "Are you kicking me out?" She said, "Yes get out now." Remind you this girl is probably 25 years old and we have been bringing our pets to this PetSmart location when she was still in grade school. I said, "You’re really going to tell me to leave?" and she said, "Yes" and I got pissed. I asked her what kind of a cupcake she was and she said, "All kinds" and kicked me out.

    The younger generation today has no respect for the customer, no respect for other people, and are so self-centered that you would think there should be a light coming down from heaven because they are so special. I talked to the manager, and she apologized and said that there wasn’t much she could do because corporate won’t let them terminate them and there aren’t that many groomers available. Well, there aren’t that many customers either so if you read this, I understand that if they treat a customer the way they treated me beware of How they’re treating your dog. Georgetown, Texas PetSmart, Wolf Ranch shopping center.

    I had an appointment yesterday for grooming at 12.30pm and they told me to be there 15 minutes before which I did. I went to get my dog at 2.30 pm and they had not start to groom my dog. I told them that my appointment was at 12.30pm not 2.30 pm and they answer me that they were busy?? When you take an appointment at one time it should be that time. And on top of that the grooming they did to my dog was bad long and short all over??? For sure I won't be back there!

    I have been to the Park Meadows Pet Smart for about 5 years. Erica and Devlin are the best. I have always felt great about going there until a couple of months ago when I saw a groomer, speaking sharp and pulling on a dog's leg. IT was borderline abuse and all i could do NOT to go over to her. I believe her name is "Cina". I spoke with the groomers, and they stated they had talk to management multiple times and nothing was being done. I spoke to Peter the store manager and told him about the situation. He was going to talk to the grooming manager. Well, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. SHE'S STILL THERE. I'm going to call again today. They are knowingly allowing someone in the wrong job to hurt animals.

    We had an appointment yesterday to groom our short-haired German Shepherd at PetSmart in Morgantown, WV. I've taken him there several times and had a great experience. But not this time. When we arrived, one dog was being groomed, and three other employees were sitting around playing on their phones. That should have been my first red flag. But we dropped him off, told them what we needed, a shampoo, brushed well, and nails trimmed, then we left. After 1 1/2 hours, we returned to see if he was ready. When we entered the store, we could hear him barking. I knew this meant he was in a kennel, so I think he's done. I return to the grooming area where his groomer is playing on her phone. When I asked the clerk about him, they said he still needed brushing and nails trimmed. I wonder why the groomer is playing on her phone and not doing her job.

    I say ok, and after another 40 minutes, I come back and see they are brushing our dog now. So I leave again and come back about 30 minutes later. I hear him barking again, so I know he's in the kennel. So I returned to the grooming area, and another couple picking up their dog, about 10 lbs. max, says good luck and leaves. I know that's not a good thing. I ask about our dog, and they say he's still drying. I tell them to get him so I can take him home. Yes, I was nice. My husband said not to say anything, and we could groom him ourselves next time. But I'm still writing this review because people should know. And I don't think they trimmed his nails.

    I took my puppy to Quarry drive in Brampton for grooming first time and I was extremely disappointed with their service. First of all they were so rude including the girl who groomed my puppy. She was not properly groomed. Her nails were not cut at all. I don’t know what they did to her for 3hours.. And after we took her home she was so tired and was sleeping all day n night. Otherwise she is very active puppy.. Please be cautious if you are taking your dogs there.. I will never take my puppy there.

    Justin, so called manager at PetSmart, Lexington, SC store refused to accept my 30% coupon, and told me he had a problem with it because it was from Pet Supply Plus. Then he wanted to argue with me because I wanted a refund. Never had any problems with any coupons at this store before. He would not give me a refund but cancel the order. Called PetSmart Corp office and filed a complaint, asked for supervisor to call me. I have now been waiting now for 3 weeks for supervisor to call. Called back 2 more times for supervisor. PetSmart C/S is worthless just like their management staff.

    I am tired of being called a liar from your representatives about my refund on my dogs harness. That I never received my harness it was shipped in the same package with my collar but I was told that it had not been shipped yet. The final straw was when I was told that my bank was holding my funds and I had to get them to release them the page that Celia sent me had nothing on it and my bank was not holding or pending and credits sends 2/22/05 the date she gave me. So I had to call back once again and this time I was giving a RA tracking number **. They couldn’t even see were that number had been received by their bank. So need I will be going to speak with the BBB and my Attorney about this matter. To this day 3/28/05 I still have not received my refund. If you buy anything online don’t expect to get a refund, they keep it for themselves.

    My frog ate 1 cricket from PetSmart in Newtown, PA and died a few seconds later. My frog was totally healthy before feeding it the cricket. After doing some research I found that crickets can pick up toxins if not housed correctly. The crickets they are selling are toxic.

    VIP customer of Petsmart, it doesn’t feel like it. Being a VIP there should be some perks, right.? I am subscribed to their monthly shipping program for cat food, with that I should receive 5% off of my order monthly of 96 packets of cat food, one would think that being a VIP member you would receive free shipping as well. Petsmart is not proving me my full 5% off on my orders, at $144.00 before tax they gave me $5.99 for my discount, $10.62 tax and $5.99 in shipping. If I was a member of the Treat Club and signed up auto shipment on treats I would receive free shipping (does this make sense, but they don’t provide free shipping to customers who do monthly orders for food). If I were to buy the exact cat food product online the manufacturer is offering 30% off through Petsmart on first-time online orders, purchase in the store and it was cheaper than what I am paying as a VIP Member.

    I am disabled so I prefer to have things shipped to my home rather than having to go shopping. So if you are asking why, that’s the reason. I did research and found that I can buy the same cat food on Amazon at the same price that they were charging me as a VIP customer and I get free Shipping!! So I will be transferring my business to Amazon because Petsmart can’t do better business practice with their customers to retain them, a VIP customer means nothing. They weren’t giving me my 5% off and charge a shipping fee, there is no discount on the price for buying volume and auto-ship. Where’s the value of being a customer to Petsmart?

    Horrible on getting my dog's prescription for arthritis. They had hoops I had to jump through ugh - combine in store and online accounts. Took forever for them to confirm they received RX. They had RX for three days. Never emailed me when I would get prescription. Over a 10 day period, after jumping through EVERY HOOP their PRESCRIPTION WAREHOUSE could not tell me WHEN I would receive the medication, nor when it would be shipped. I’ve had dogs for 30 years. I’ve used PetSmart for a lot of products. I will never, ever use their RX service again. If I could give them a no star rating, I would.

    I made an appt for luxury grooming and trim for my 4 month old Maltese puppy. It has all its shots records. It's healthy and happy. It has a little matting in its long hair. I work 12 hour shifts at a nuclear plant. My fiance and I have a 1 year old baby and my fiance also works. We decided to start using a groomer on the regular as we can afford a professional groomer. So I arrive for the appt at 1pm on time. 3 people are ahead of me dropping off their dogs for grooming to the one groomer, Jessica, on shift and her young assistant. I wait 15 min to be seen even though I've made an appt at 1pm. Finally it's my turn. They look at the puppy and the young assistant asks the name which I reply Bodhi. She refers to bodhi as a female a couple times even though the appt says bodhi is a boy and I say he is a boy. They ask how old and I say 4 months and they say wow he is a puppy.

    Yes, just like the appt I scheduled with you says, he is a 4 month puppy maltese named bodhi and a boy...just read the appt paperwork and you can find out all the stuff you asked me. Finally they start looking bodhi over and say his hair has some matting and this, "We can't see him, we don't wanna do his grooming." Then they ask me if I've ever owned a dog before? They berated me about how hard it will be to take care of his hair and how I will have big expensive grooming bills and how I should really go to the vet and have them subdue my puppy and shave him with a razor because his hair is so bad right now. Yes, I've owned a border collie for 14 years and she would get really bad dreadlocks that I would cut out and trim and brush out a few times a year...yes I've owned a malamute and a husky. Yes my fiance has trained around 30 of her own dogs since she was a child thru adulthood.

    Yes my puppy has some matting but nothing that can't be washed and brushed out and maybe a little trimming around her butt. This groomer Jessica just didn't wanna do my puppy, when she already had 3 dogs in at the same time. They were all scheduled at the same time or drop off, I don't know...but mine was scheduled and I don't mind paying extra if you think you want extra money lol...she was just overbooked and didn't wanna take my dog when she had 3 short hair older easier dogs she could bath dry and brush very easily and quickly and had no time to spend on my puppy which would have taken a little longer than the other dogs that got dropped off at my scheduled time. Anyway, I called 3 other groomers and they all said 2 or 3 weeks out or not taking new clients, then I called another and she said, "Oh yes, I love small maltese dogs, bring that puppy in."

    And she got me scheduled within a few days, I said PetSmart just told me my dog has matting in her hair and they denied me because it's too hard to groom. She laughed and said, "That's not a problem, I can handle that for you and if it's really bad I will just trim it out real short if you don't mind." Perfect....found my groomer that will get all my regular business and with good money tips because my family tips people very well that provides us with good friendly service that meets our needs. Petsmart lost our business and Jessica lost our tips. Fine...go get paid by the dog and with mediocre tips Jessica, you lost out on good tips for not wanting to groom our puppy because you're lazy and not good at scheduling dogs for grooming at your store.

Said order was canceled. They put them back on shelf. Said price was too low. Raised up to $187. Put money back in my account. This theft being I paid for them.     To begin the start was easy making an appointment online. Check in simple. Saw one person who knew my dog and me then the groomer or whom I assumed was the groomer and she said “We need updated Rabies!” I responded already gave that to the store and it’s on file. She said oh ok. Then she came around and my little 11 lbs dog tried to run from Her. My dog is a shih tzu with mats on her but not too bad just quite a few. The groomer said, 'We will have to go down. Shave her down." "That’s fine. Just make her feel better."

    This was the longest 3.5 hours of my life waiting to hear about my dog. I went to pick her up. Her stomach is cut, razor burn down her side, genital nicked. You can see how uneven the coat is and her legs have nicks all down them. Not an even cut and her face is blocky. I could have done better doing it at home and she would have received love. I don't know what happened during this groom but my sweet dog now has a distrust for people. The groomer did not come out to speak to me at all. Had someone else cash us out and we did not receive the package we paid for! No toy, No teeth brushing, no bandana, nothing! I feel like I just paid a woman to abuse my little dog $120!!!! This is unacceptable in every level! If the dog is too much be honest and upfront to the client don't take the dog and butcher them! I will never go to another PetSmart ever again for anything after my experience. I have photos to back up all claims.

    I was at the Waterbury Ct PetSmart, I had an appointment for grooming, it was terrible!! I was charged $75.51 and my dog looked terrible, her ears were not squared off, her butt was not shaved like I specified!! Then I had an appointment for Santa, which I was told while I was in the store that it’s a block appointment, there were 10 people ahead of me!! They should not call it an appointment, that was a misrepresentation! I will never be back!!!

    It’s almost 2025, I can’t cancel an order immediately after I place it? What’s the issue? Why can’t your system process a cancelation when a user makes a mistake? Not to mention your app and website absolutely SUCKS! Definitely not user friendly. And when a mishap or issue arises, can’t do anything about it except wait for your business hours the next day. The site/app is misleading and unclear. When you go to your autoship orders, let’s say you need something on the list now, they have a button at the top that says, “send me this ASAP”. Once you press it, it automatically makes the order and sends it through, no double checking, no confirmation, no double checking the credit card info, NOTHING.

    Worse part, I’m supposed to get 35% off the FIRST autoship, I wanted (5) different types of cat food, and I wanted (24) of each kind. For a total of (120) items. They fulfill my autoship with (1) of each instead of (24). I assume it was my own fault, so I go back through, and the autoship in my account, still says 24 quantity. YET, the total cost only comes out to the amount of 1. It’s supposed to be a $170 autoship order, but instead they send me a $7 order minus my 35% of course, and then they tack on $6.99 shipping.

    On top of that, you can’t alter, change, or cancel the order. EVEN IF YOU GO DIRECTLY TO IT AFTER YOU SUBMIT. The only reason I could think of them doing that is they are preying on less “tech-savvy” pet owners that will ultimately pay the price. Who wants to sit on the phone with customer service for who knows how long, to change an order that you could do yourself regularly on any number of current sites nowadays. They are being left behind with the tech but it seems like they are doing it on purpose. As if, why would we cancel your shipment if it’s wrong?

    We want the sale so bad, we would make you jump through these hoops or return it once it arrives. Hoping you’ll just give up on it. Maybe that’s just my opinion, but it doesn’t make sense to me that in almost the year 2025 you can’t automate a order cancelation. Hell, give us a grace period, give us 4 hours, 6 hours, til the next morning. Whatever the case. But the fact that I can’t cancel the order immediately after I place it is just nonsense. They have to motivation to change it. It’s not taking up their entire day.

    Do not use the groomers at PetSmart 10460 Town Center Dr. Westminster, CO. My Yorkie had an appointment yesterday December 5 at 8:30 am with Kelly. I was told by the manager of the salon that Kelly was experienced at using the size 7 razor cut. Taking Ann's word I scheduled an appointment with Kelly. Well, Kelly cut a piece of my dog's ear off, not just cut it, but cut a piece off. I was told by Ann it was just a cut; she didn't tell me a piece was cut off. The vet tech (Morgan) and vet doctor who looked at my dog's ear said it was a piece cut off. I was told by the staff from Banfield Hospital that this is a recurring incident with the groomers at PetSmart. They asked me to file a complaint with the management, so I did. You know what Kat the manager said, and I quote "

    All our groomers are new groomers" I told her, not my problem. Kat, then said they will pay my dog's vet bills, not enough. I told her I wanted Kelly FIRED, her response was it's not that easy, really; she injured my dog, that is reason enough. I told her she is looking at a lawsuit if she didn't do anything about it. The vet technician said, now my dog will be afraid to be groomed. How many more dogs will be injured or killed before someone does anything about it. It looks like the groomer chewed my dog's ear instead of scissors, and who cuts hair like that, there was no hair left on my dog's ears. Could she not see how close she was to cutting her ear??? Looking at the groomer now, she looks like she may have a drinking problem.

    To top it off at 3:27 I get an email and a text saying they are canceling Bella's appointment for 12/5/2024 at 8:30 am. Trying to cover their ass that she wasn't there. Too late I have all copies of emails and text messages and it was noted by the vet tech. Plus I documented the time I was there talking to Kat the manager. My advice DO NOT use PetSmart dog grooming salon. Their groomers are not professionals. Attached is one of the photos I took of my dog's ear.

    I brought my two furry friends (Cockers) to the West Lansing store for grooming. I explained to Sara D that these kids were outside during the day both summer and winter. It's winter now.     If I could give you a 0 I would. My dog had a horrible experience. He came back with a sad looking hair cut and started itching the next day. Never had this experience anywhere else. When I called and asked I bring him back to wash him again they agreed but called me during the wash to tell me to come and pick my dog because he was stressed. I picked him up and he was still wet. They have since told me not to come back and he needs a private groomer. I have had my dog for 6 years and I never had to take him to a private groomer. PetSmart only wants to have the easy larger dogs. Heaven forbid an animal goes to the bathroom.

    A Frustrated Customer’s Review of PetSmart’s Shipping and Pharmacy Policies. I have never been more disappointed with a company’s service than I am with PetSmart’s shipping and pharmacy procedures. Here’s the timeline of events to show just how dysfunctional their system is:

    • Friday, Nov 15th, 7:42 AM: I ordered Apoquel (an allergy medication) for my dog and paid an extra $35 for overnight shipping. I understood this required vet authorization, which was fine.

    • Friday, Nov 15th, 6:59 PM: Concerned that I hadn’t received any shipping updates or confirmation of vet authorization, I called. The representative informed me they had emailed my vet and hadn’t received a response. However, the vet’s contact information wasn’t even on file—I had to provide it again! No email address was asked for, just a phone number.

    • Monday, Nov 18th: I received another email saying the vet hadn’t approved the medication. I called again, only to be told they would reach out to the vet on Tuesday because the vet wasn’t in that day. Seriously?!

    • Tuesday, Nov 19th, 9:43 AM: The vet approved the medication.

    • Wednesday, Nov 20th, 4:30 PM: No shipping confirmation. I called again and was told the pharmacy has 24-48 hours to process and ship the medication after vet approval.

    They did refund me the $35 for overnight shipping, which is great, but what’s the point of offering overnight shipping if it doesn’t actually exist? Paying extra for a service that is never delivered is beyond frustrating. Petsmart’s system is broken from top to bottom. Their communication is laughable, their policies make no sense, and they clearly do not prioritize the urgency of their customers’ needs. I will never use PetSmart’s pharmacy again. If you value your time, money, or your pet’s well-being, avoid them at all costs. Their policies and customer service are absolutely unacceptable.

    I went in to return some cat food. The store policy posted online stated they accept returns without a receipt. She was nice about telling me no. I had lost my cat of 18 years to cancer. I was upset to question her. I decided to look at what they had available for adoptions. There was one beautiful white cat that was super friendly and I thought maybe later when I am feeling better I may adopt again. No one knew how much the adoption fee was. She just pointed at a qr code for a form to fill out. She was not very friendly. She could have tried to find out for me. I guess it wasn't meant to be. They actually want a permission slip from your apartment manager for approval. Very weird. Not going back there again.

    I wish I could give zero stars. I made an appointment for my senior Yorkie to be groomed, went as far as having the appointment confirmed and everything seemed fine. I get to the location and am told "we tried to call you a half hour ago, we cannot groom your pet. After your last visit, we referred you out to a vet." There was no referral given and they flat out refused to groom my dog. Yes, she is a senior dog (12-14 years old). She has idiopathic tremors, and she is skittish. She has never been aggressive. She just needed a good bath, shave down and nails trimmed.

    We offered to pay whatever they asked, and we were still refused any service. I have been coming to them ever since I got my girl and now, to be refused is just wrong. Sure, it would have taken a little extra time and patience, but it could have been done. They have lost me as a future customer. They should not be allowed to groom any pets as they obviously do not care about the animals at all or for their humans.

    Is the girl asking what you want, not the actual groomer??? I requested the groomer at a certain station to groom Bodie. A puppy cut was being done but I specifically told the girl that greeted me exactly what I wanted and what I wanted to be left alone. I specifically said IF you have to touch his head, tip only. I DON'T WANT TO SEE GRAY IN FIRST CUT!!! I love his face so just get the few strands at his eyes, his feet, pads and tail and either need off, I'm tired of butt baths. Don't shave his chest past where there's tiny matting going on. The reason I wonder if they have to pass on your info to the actual groomer. I knew what station the person I wanted was in only from seeing the job she was doing on 2 prior visits with my other Yorkie that was killed.. I don't even remember what this woman looked like.

    My 2 prior visits w/ Barklee, who died, were chopped and uneven, both times. I knew I was switching next. Just didn't know it wouldn't be Barklee at the time :( For Bodie, his face was too adorable to be cut but he just needed a few hairs cut blocking vision, barely touch head unless you have to. Paws. Pads, butt/tail, shorten sides on body. I couldn't react when I picked him up because I was too upset!! Didn't need a shouting match in public! I've needed days now to be able to not go postal on them. I didn't even realize they didn't touch his tail til halfway back to JC. They literally gave my baby Yorkie a schnauzer haircut! His head is gray and he will never have that coloring again on his face. He was buzzed. His brows chopped head shaved. His oval mouth fur I didn't want touched. They not only cut it but it's thinned out and crooked on one side.

    IF YOU'RE TELLING THEM HOW YOU WANT IT, IT NEEDS TO BE THE GROOMER YOU'RE TELLING because that's all I can figure out how this happened!!! Nothing I requested was done. Everything was what I specifically said I DID NOT WANT!!! I am never returning!!! I spent alot on harness, toys, treats that day as well. They have lost my business now. I AM LIVID that you took that adorable face off my baby and gave me back a gray schnauzer looking dog!!! DO BETTER!!! GROOMING IS NOT CHEAP!!!

    I sent them a prescription. No action after a week. I called. They said they had the prescription and were filling it today. Nothing after a week. Called again. They said they didn't have the prescription. I insisted that they did. They found the prescription but said it would have to be reordered. It would arrive in 3 to 6 days. I asked them to expedite the delivery since I waited so long. They said no. So I cancelled the order. They wouldn't pay a couple of dollars more to expedite even though it was their mistake and my dog needed it. I said that I'd spent $1000s at PetSmart over the years. No impact. Won't spend another time there. Hope you won't either.

    Took my dog here for grooming twice now. Nikki groomed him the 1st time. She's nice, friendly and did a nice job. Had Daysia tonight and she was also very nice and did a terrific job. Both times the girls we're ready for him, he didn't have to sit in a cage for hours, and was in and out in less than 90 mins. Great job girls. Ty to Petsmart for keeping prices reasonable unlike everyone else who are taking advantage of customers.

    It's a terrible experience. I ordered auto-ship orders and only to noticed that there was an additional unauthorized order placed by the website next morning, charging me another visa card that I have not been using for a long time. I called to cancel the order, only being told that it is not possible and I had to return them to the store myself. I declared that's not acceptable and they simply say there's nothing they can do. I don't even find a phone number to complain. Worst shopping and customer service experience.

    I recently bought 2 Betta fish from there a week ago. Both of them were ill and had scale & fin problems. They also appeared underfed. PetSmart really neglects its animals. Even worse is that all of them were very expensive. The highest prices being up to $20 per fish. Don't buy any animals there.

I am sorry but if You tried to use a vibrating saw to cut The hair around my eyes I would bite You, not nip. Why would you Use an electric razor in that area instead Of scissors? I get that it is quicker and therefore cheaper. This was not my Dog’s first grooming but this was the most traumatic. Not sure how it happened but when I took him to the car he was whining when I touched his left front leg. I feel guilty for trusting them to care for my pet.

    I'm 67 years old and have had aquariums since I was 15. That is 52 years experience. Now I have bought more fish from PetSmart than I can count and now they refuse to sell fish if they feel your aquarium is not big enough for the fish you want when they have a lot of dead fish floating in their inadequate tanks. There is a lot of competitors out there I'll be going to now.

    I took my large dog to PetSmart to be groomed, On the assessment I told him he was a large dog and that he was around 10 years old and had joint issues. When I show up for the appointment they did the assessment and we went over his health. At no point in time did they say they were concerned about his size. He was at his appointment for two hours. I got a phone call saying that he was refusing to stand even though my dog has some joint issues. Even though he has joint issues he can stand through a four hour grooming session as he had two months prior.

    When I showed up to get him the groomer proceeded to tell me how he would not go into a cage they tried to put him into. My dog has never been kennel before and I did not realize they were going to be putting him in a cage. The groomer said he refused to go in so they had to manhandle him into the cage to the point where one of the groomers threw her back out and had to go to the urgent care. To me if you having to manhandle a dog to where you hurt yourself you are being aggressive and should not be treating an older dog or dog that. At no point in time to let me know he refused to go into the cage and they were having issues.

    They gave him a bath and then proceeded to put him tiny in the air. The table is so narrow I'm sure he felt unstable so he refused to stand up instead they said he was on his belly with all four legs spread out. This is not a normal position for him because of his joints and fatty tumor on his back leg. This is an unnatural position because he scared. Was not because he was refusing to get up. All they did was Give him a bath, Nothing special but still charged me $40. I ended up having to take him to the vet and spending more money because he has injured from the way they manhandled him. I reached out to make a complaint and the store manager called me a liar. I will never go to Petsmart again and will never recommend it. By the way this was in Kennewick Washington but I don't recommend going to any Petsmart with the way they treat your animals the animals they sell or people and animals in general.

    I brought my puppy into a store in Sioux falls, sd to get his haircut last night. I spent 4 hours the night before combing out his hair. 3 weeks ago he was shampooed and brushed out. I made if very clear I did not want short hair but the lady told me he would need a short cut because his hair was mangled in various places. 100% that was not true. She wanted to get it done quickly so she shaved it down.. I will never go there again! It cost me $115 for her to shave him down! He now looks absolutely terrible! I kick myself for not walking out when she came in with her attitude! If you don’t want a Choice in your dog's haircut then Petsmart is the place for you. Otherwise pick another groomer.

    Since 2018, I have been taking my puppy, Nala, to PetSmart, salon in North Bergen, NJ. I always pay the best package for her grooming. A year ago my dog had her nails trimmed. It was so bad that she was bleeding and PetSmart never informed me of the incident, spoke to management and was addressed with employees. As we all make mistakes I gave it another chance and kept taking Nala to PetSmart. However, June 8, 2024. I took Nala for a full grooming service and was the worst experience. Normally they would have her done in about 2 hours. I dropped her off about 3 pm and it was 7 pm and they were not finished yet.

    I went to the store and they were finishing her up. The employees were not caring for the pets that were there but talking among them. Emily the groomer was very unprofessional. The salon person that was in charge that day a male. Very nasty, said that they were too busy. Mind I had the appointment scheduled weeks before. My puppy looked horrible! The haircut was so bad that I couldn't believe it. I went in tears to the manager on duty that day and he just said, "I will address it."

    Nala looked so scared like if she had been beaten up. She was not acting normal. With our love and care, she was back to normal within days. I just will like to bring this up for someone else, does not experience such horrible situation. Emily screamed at me, "What do you want, I'm training." I should have been told she was a trainee or she should have had someone training her correctly, but she was so unrespectful. That like I said I left in tears. May God protect our pets and not have people treat them so bad!

    I have a Shipoo. Told the girl how I wanted his hair cut. I told her it was matted in two places. Told her his back area was fine. It was his legs, tail and head that needed cutting.     I made a purchase online to send to my mother in PR. After checking the tracking number numerous times during the week there has been no update. I called customer service to inquire if the package was lost or never received. The 1st customer rep was very helpful and ordered a replacement since the package tracking has not updated and has been over 10 days from the last update. He gave a case number and mentioned to call if I don’t receive a new order confirmation in 24 hrs. I called again due to no email with the new order. The 2nd order customer service rep was rude and attempted to argue me with about the tracking being updated when it was not and the results were the same. To even argue about FedEx delivery to Puerto Rico, when they do not.

    The icing on the cake was saying it can take 30 days when on the website saids it does not. That I was also misinformed about the deliveries have never dealt with this kind of attitude from a customer rep. This entire ordeal was stressful and unnecessary. Amazon delivers to Puerto Rico and I have never experienced this kind of behavior about deliveries. Later after 20 minutes of not getting anywhere, I called again and got lucky with the 3rd customer rep who said gave me the same information about it shouldn’t take 30 days and the tracking number should be updated daily, however in this occasion it has not. I got my replaced email and tracking. My suggestion if shopping online in Pet Smart, hopefully your packages being sent to be Puerto Rico are not lost. You will probably have an easy time with Amazon or anyone else.

    I go to PetSmart because they have a certain joint chew for my Danes, that seems to work, however....I just found the same chews, same brand, same size on Amazon for $ 20 cheaper!! I am a Prime member because I use Amazon a bit, so I get with shipping it would matter, but I don't pay shipping. In this world RN everyone needs a little bit of help and saving $ 20 is a deal. So, if you shop at PetSmart, shop around. You might be able to save money on your items.

    Their grooming service is pathetic. I took my fluffy pup in to get his face and paws trimmed and I came back to a dog shaved with ZERO hair on his tail and ears. No shaping around his head. You can tell they get lazy and don’t want to do any brushing so they just shave it all away. The worst of it is they cut him while buzzing him so he’s been super sick with an infection for days now. All for $106.

    I took Maxwell Thurmond to Petsmart on Bolger Rd in Independence Missouri instructing the groomer it was his first grooming appointment and I didn't want him shaved to his scalp. Upon picking up and seeing Max I was instantly shocked, mortified and angered at how my Maxwell had been basically butchered. His hind parts were shaved so close that you can see his scalp consisting of patches of hair and bald spots. His little face looks as if someone started a style, messed up then tried to fix what they messed up.

    When I complained about all the extra fees to include a special handling fee. I was told because Max wouldn't sit still (what puppy sits still) the charge was applied hence the reason his hind paws are hairless, but his front paws have hair. It's absolutely horrendous the way they handled my baby. They had the audacity to try and ban Maxwell because I refused to pay all the extra fees stating, "if she takes off the fees, he'll be banned from our grooming department" also adding that the groomer was bit by Max.

    As the owner, why wasn't I informed of this when initially picking up Max? More importantly why wasn't there an incident report made and if you were bit Max why were you playing with him and all in his face? Once questioned about the biting incident the story changed. I called the store this morning (5/27/2024) speaking with Kyle the store manager informing him of the incident including the way my Maxwell was scalped and the ban. He verbalized understanding also informing me of the company's ban policy. We only ban animals that are aggressive and uncontrollable. Which my Max didn't fit the criteria!!!! I'm not upset as to bringing Max back to Petsmart, because I have no intentions of ever bringing my baby back there ever!!!! However, I'm upset at the AUDACITY to try and ban my baby after traumatizing him (Me) because of your inability to provide the service I paid for, even more so because you couldn't ban me!!!!

    IF I COULD GIVE ZERO I WOULD! Walked in this week and bought a fish. I noticed another fish was dead and some of the other fish looked sick (the one I had looked perfectly fine though and was not in a tank with the dead or sick looking fish). I told staff and they said they would take care. Well I come home today and my new pet is DEAD. I’ve owned fish for over 15 years and have never had this happen. I called the store. They seemed very dismissive and like they did not care. DO NOT GO HERE!!! And a message for PetSmart. Not only is it unethical that you sell sick fish, but it is disgusting that this is how you “care” for your animals.

    Selling bettas in cups is unethical, abusive, and irresponsible. Bettas are tropical fish that need a heater and should be in minimum of 5 gallon tanks. Selling half gallon tanks marketed for bettas helps the company's profits but, again, is abusive. They do not provide education to the consumer regarding proper care and setup for these fish the way they do for their community fish. The bettas are mostly stressed and/or ill. It is very upsetting to walk past the betta display.

    I purchased one at a discount (I asked if they would give him free since he was ill and needed treatment but was denied) who had severe fin rot and swim bladder disease. I treated his fin rot, but it turns out his swim bladder disease is permanent. I have made accommodations and he is doing well, but he should not have been sold in the first place. If he were sold to an inexperienced betta keeper, he would have been returned or died. Too often there are dead bettas in their cups. Sick bettas should be offered free rather than letting them die. Dead fish impact the company's bottom line just the same as giving them free, but at least the fish would have been given a chance to live.

    Our dog was groomed SO CLOSE to his skin it caused a nasty infection and over $300.00 in veterinarian bills/supplies. Petsmart management disagrees with the veterinarian's assessment (the professional who saw and treated the dog after the bad grooming). Petsmart will not accept responsibility for the bad grooming and pay the veterinarian bill. To top it off, the store manager in College Station, Tx, was VERY RUDE!! I wish they cared about animals as much as they care about their profits.

    I have purchased gift cards online at Petsmart.ca. However the phone app does not provide grooming service options. I went online to purchase the gift cards and tried to redeem it for services the next day. The website - not the phone app Does not provide options to redeem your gift cards. I called customer service and spoke to the supervisor and she suggested I pay for the full grooming service using my credit card???? Why would I do that when I already purchased gift cards???? Her response was they need to investigate why I am not able to make an online purchase with my gift card. For the inconvenience she offered me $5 coupon when I spend $40???? What an insult!!!!

    They put me thru to the grooming line then the grooming line says they need to put me thru to the store. When they put me thru the store manager / store leader “Amy”. She refuses to listen to my complaint and when I asked for head office number or email she indicated they do not have one. In conclusion. Do not purchase gift cards if you plan on making online purchases as the website does not have a field to put in your gift card information and pin. This is a corporation with the worst website and it’s not user friendly!!!! Fix it PetSmart - giving you a one star for the worse experience. After spending 2 hours on the phone they asked me to come in to redeem my gift cards for services or products.

    How can PetSmart claim to care about pets and animals when you constantly stock those beautiful fighting fish in TINY containers. Nobody looks after them. They can hardly move. They all ALWAYS DIE. PetSmart claims to care about animals. It does not. If it did it would not support this cruelty of pretending to sell these poor fish. I came into the Fredericksburg, VA, store to buy cat litter as I couldn't find it anywhere else (otherwise I would not have set a foot inside) and I saw several of these fish containers empty, but with a bright green "moss" on the bottom. As I walked past in horror, I realized it was not moss, but the remains of the dead fish that had sunk to the bottom. At the top of your website you claim: "10,316,479 lives saved". How about admitting all the lives of these poor, helpless, trapped, sickly, forlorn fish you have ended!!!!

    After having my 12 year old dog groomed at Leesburg Petsmart for over 6 years. I went to make an appointment and they refused me. Saying “You're not a good fit”. When I asked what does that mean girl just repeated “You're not a good fit”. No explanation nothing. My dog is very gentle and never any trouble. So much for good customer service. I always gave 15 to 20 dollar tip. So I have no idea what happened.

    First this is for my seventeen-year-old bombay, PetSmart rescue Savanaha. She has to eat it to slow down her kidney disease. The vet was totally out so we got a prescription and went to PetSmart with it. They said Banfield was closed and we would have to come back when it was open to fill it. The next day we were told the same thing at 2 pm. This has gone on for three days now, and she has been eating what we feed Gomez and Morticia. When is it ever open?     Ashley was rude and unhelpful in the most, having zero pleasure and happiness and only expressions of distaste and dissatisfaction in her job, in herself, and in her life. She oozed out nothing but negative energy and was like pulling teeth from a child in order to get any kind of helpful information out of her whatsoever. I went to another PetSmart to ask to see a snake and hold it and play with it as I wanted to buy one but wished to handle the pet first before a purchase. They said yes only they couldn't at that moment because of closing time drawing too near, and so I said I understand and went to the one closer by my house.

    This is where I saw Ashley and she was so horrible. I went online to leave a review about her, as there are other reviews about her detailing how horrible of an employee she is. She said she could only show the snakes through the glass and not take one out for me. She also said she couldn't order any products or supplies at the store, and a handful of other reasons that added up to me not willing to do business with this store any longer for the indefinite future. Maybe get some better employees first of all.

    Unfathomably bad!!!! There's a location 3.4 km from me, but I don't drive, so I ordered my dog's food online. The only shipping choices are DOOR Dash and FedEx (the non weekend delivery shipping service). I initially ordered from DD, but for whatever reason there wasn't anyone available to deliver (in the downtown core of a major city). Instead of being offered the alternate option, I had to call and cancel my order (48hr 'processing period'). During said processing time, I am unable to place another order..?! So I call their 1 800 and speak to someone 5000 miles away in another country. To their credit, customer service was helpful and pleasant...That said, the Associate reorders my dogfood for me on the phone.

    After we have hung up, my order still does not process until the 48hr 'processing time' is over! THEN I find out that they have sourced my order from a location 3 provinces away!! Literally thousands of miles, when there are 3 PS locations IN MY TOWN! Having had appalling experiences with FedEx in the past, I know that they do not deliver on weekends...So now, I have done the 48hrs mandatory wait time, then the weekend, and it's now Monday (initially placed my order last Tuesday!) Fed Ex site says I should receive my order by Wed or Thurs. I can't even.... UnBelievable! All this for a bag of food that is available at the PS up the street. I will never ever give Petsmart another dime. Nuff said.

    Yesterday I had an appointment at Petsmart on Narcoossee Rd with Kae C for a full grooming session for my 8-month-old Goldendoodle. I have to say that Kae is the worst groomer I have ever dealt with. My wife and I spent 10 minutes or so explaining what we wanted and stressing to her what we absolutely did not want. Left our dog for 4 hours and came back and she just shaved the dog. Did not clean ears, facial hair (what's left of hair) was cut uneven, his skin around private parts were lacerated, nails were cut so horribly uneven. Wow! I would fire her in a heartbeat if she worked for me. Do not use her as you will regret it!! Horrible service from her, we have had other good experiences there with other groomer. She is the opposite of a great groomer. Beware of Kea C!!!

    PetSmart located at 13150 Middlebelt Rd., Livonia, MI 48150. After the pandemic as businesses began to openly, slowly, I made an online appointment for my 25lb She-Poo and my 105lb Great Dane/Mountain dog mix. The groomer was **, someone I had never used before. My She-poo normally takes about 3 1/2 hours with the groomer. I was contacted within 2 hours advising that I needed to pick up my dog. I was not told the reason why. I arrived to find ** with my small dog. She indicated that my dog's nose area had been nicked because of the (age) bumps on her face. My dog's face had some blood on it. I was obviously not happy to say the least but I accepted the service being free as compensation. Consequently, my next online appointment was NOT with **. On this occasion, I picked up my dog to AGAIN see her with **. This time, my dog's ears and face area had not been groomed properly (there was matting on her ears).

    This time, I made a complaint with a manager and was awarded a refund. I then demanded that ** NOT be allowed to touch either of my dogs again!! I was then restricted from making online appointments. I was told that when an online groomer is not available for an appointment date/time, the client is reassigned to another groomer (and this without contacting the client). I called to make an appointment for my dogs in October 2023 and was told my account was locked out and could only be opened by a manager. I would have to wait to speak with a manager to make an appointment (total inconvenience!!!).

    I contacted them again today, November 9, 2023, in an attempt to make an appointment with ** (whom I had used prior) and was told he no longer wanted to groom my dogs..?? I have been a loyal customer with PetSmart for over 20 years. I have used their grooming services for at least 13 years and this is what my loyalty gets me??? No thanks!!! PetSmart, You are NOT the only pet supply/groomer establishment out here!!!!

    Their website says the grooming department opens at 7:00. I arrived at 7:30. There was nobody in the department so I asked somebody from Banfield if they could check and see where they were. She went to the store manager. A few minutes later she came back and said, "Oh they should be here between 8:00 and 8:30". I think they need to change the hours on the website. This is very much an inconvenience to me and I'm sure to other people.

    This company will cancel your order if you don't live within 15 minutes of the Petsmart you are picking up from, and not help you resolve. Just lets you sit there and stay mad. Horrible customer service. I do want to add, btw, when you actually go to the store, the employees are stellar awesome! 10/10 on employee instore customer service. Online 0/10 because they cancelled my order, and told me to get a hold of my bank, and said they could request a special inquiry, and all this other **. Never again, online. They are horrible!

    If you need lifesaving medication for your pet, buy elsewhere. It took 30 days to get my medication for my dog because they kept dialing the wrong number to my vet (disconnected number). I called more than 10 times to PetSmart with the right number and they kept dialing the wrong number. Finally a 3-way call was made and My vet was so frustrated that he gave PetSmart the approval for that prescription plus 2 refills.

    So one month later, here we go again. 4 times they say they have tried to contact my vet and can't send it until they get approval. I found out that at least they have the right number. My vet has called them and still no shipment. Last time I got very expensive pills from my vet when I ran out waiting. But at least he didn't die waiting. I repeat, these are life-saving drugs. There is no way to communicate to corporate. Last thing. If you email them or reply to them, you get a case number. So I have many many case numbers.

    The sales clerk refused to sell my 86 year old Mother 12 "small" goldfish. He questioned her about the size of her aquarium. And stated he was not comfortable selling the goldfish to her. In addition, the store manager said it was his decision and she was okay with it. As we were leaving the store, I looked over my shoulder to see the store manager and clerk laughing at us as we walked away. At that time I returned to the store and requested names on numbers of regional managers. I feel that my Mother was discriminated due to her age!!!     I took my dog into get groomed, he came back with cuts on his ears, tail, butt, they said it was Hematomas, was not. He was butcherd by this groomer, who also charged me for 4 hours of grooming, when I picked up my dog it was only 2 hours. I was charged for the packet which includes ear cleaning and that was not done! I called the manager from 5520 S Parker Rd Petsmart, he said, "Come in and I will give you a full refund," then he said, "We will never do any of your dogs at this place again."     BEWARE - if you love your pet, keep searching for a groomer- don't leave your baby here. I know finding a great groomer in the Metro STL area is difficult, finding a place that's trustworthy of leaving your 'child', a place that you don't mind parting with your hard earned money. I brought my 11 months old shih tzu for a wash and clean up hair cut. Cut just underneath (belly/chest) due to a little bit of matting because she sit so close to the ground and it had gotten wet from walking across the grass. Mind you, she had just been groomed literally 6 weeks prior and I keep both my dogs brushed everyday and groomed (I also have an older boy shih tzu who had an appt also for a couple weeks later of which I quickly CANCELED), so she really just needed to be cleaned up a little. Her hair was flowing beautifully. I told them do not cut her, just clean up underneath (belly/chest/chin) area. I paid extra to upgrade to a better shampoo and conditioner.

    Needless to say when I picked my baby up, they skinned her. ALL of her hair was shaved and they even did a terrible job at that (it was uneven and choppy if that makes sense). I would add photos, but would not want to embarrassed my baby like that - the internet is forever. I have been working on myself lately, with the old me it would have been some consequences and repercussions in that store lol but the new me calmly paid my bill and took my baby .... livid/steaming all the way home. I know her hair will grow back and when it does she will never see the inside of a Petsmart Grooming ever again.... They will never get my hard earned $$ again. It was a wasted $100.

    I write this review simply to inform you, my animal loving parents, not to take your baby here. I should have turned and walked out once I saw how one groomer was talking to a dog that would not sit still for her. A HUGE red flag, silly me and my puppy paid the price smh. Oh I forgot to tell you, even though I paid extra for upgraded shampoo and conditioner, she didn't get that, if they even bathed her at all. Also, mind you she's a tiny dog (about 13 lbs), they put a hanky around her neck for the size of an adult husky or german shepherd - I think they were trying to be funny, I saw it as their ignorance ... It's the new me, so I paid my bill never ever ever ever to return again. If I could give 0 stars / negative stars, it would be warranted.

    Petsmart 369 Tarrytown Road Greenburgh, NY 10607. I am very upset and disappointed with the service received at Petsmart by the 2 groomers @ the grooming salon there. I will start with **. First able if you love your dog and want them to look good, I don't think ** is the person you need. Not sure if Petsmart is the place that you need. If they do not have people with the experience of grooming they should have a grooming salon. We love our dogs like our kids. You want them to look good. Shame on them.

    I brought my miniature Poodle; his name is Toby. I asked him for a Teddy bear style haircut and showed her photos of how I wanted it. And she gave him a horrendous haircut. She left his face like a dinosaur. I wanted to cry when I saw it. The body hair cut is very short. Nothing look like the picture I show her. Haircut is totally horrendous. He looks so ugly. I don't understand how this girl can work there. I called the corporation and make a complaint and I will also report it to the credit card to dispute the charges. Unfortunately there is no money that can help my dog ​​at this time. Well, all his hair was totally damaged.

    And I took my other dog Nailah for a full hair, bath, and nail cut. And **, after having it for 3 hours with the dog, When I went to get her, says that she was only able to cut the ends since it was her first Haircut. She claimed she trim her hair, But doesn't look like she did anything. Beside a bath. I ended up paying $74.00 for her give a bath to my dog and trim her face a little bit. But thank God nothing compared to **"s bad work.

    I never plan to take my dogs there again. Between Naila's bath/trim and the cost of $91.00 pay to ** to damage his hair I just throw out $165.00. Now way for corporate resolution and Amex credit card with the resolution of disputing the charges. Open your eyes and search good when you want to take your dogs for grooming. Again ** work I rate minus -0. This girl need intensive grooming training. And ** need to learn to communicate better with customer and let them decide if they can proceed or not.

    My girlfriend and I purchased something in the store like we do every month. Usually my girlfriend will pay and I use my perks account in case I need to return or exchange anything. This particular time the Manager (Evan) stated that he would need the same credit card that was used to do the return. I have bought things with my girlfriend's credit card and returned using mine so when he told me the system would not allow me to do the return I knew he was lying. I told him that the purchase was made using my membership account and I had my girlfriend send me a screenshot of her card to show him it was the same card. I explained I lived across town and the purchase was under my account and I had the receipt but he said, "I can't help you."

    Since when do they keep track of customers by their card numbers instead of their membership account? He was very unfriendly. I feel like I should of been treated like he appreciates my business instead of someone that's trying to get money that is not mine. SMH. I drove home, picked up my girlfriend and she went in and did the return and that's the last time I'm going back to the Clovis location. Rude, liar and inconsiderate and this was management.

    Petsmart - Banfield Animal Hospital BEWARE!!! I was forced to go to PetSmart - Banfield in Westwood last week for my 17 year old cat. She had been suffering from Renal failure, unfortunately my regular Vet was unavailable. She was suffering, I knew it was time. I agreed to pay for the examination and euthanasia, but insisted that I take her home and bury her in the backyard next to my other deceased pets. Not only did they insist on Cremation but told me that it was "ILLEGAL" to bury pets on your private land in Massachusetts. THAT IS A FLAT OUT LIE.

    The state of Massachusetts does not prohibit private animal burial, that is determined by animal control in each individual town. Norwood permits it as I have confirmed today. They refused to treat my pet unless I agreed to have her cremated!!! What was I supposed to do, drive around with a suffering pet in my car looking for another VET? Just trying to inform other pet owners, thanks for your time.

    I’ve been taking my dogs to Petsmart in college station, TX for years. I recently got a Shih tzu and have been taking him in for about six months now. Every time I drop him off I remind them “do not cut his tail or ears!” Two months ago I took him in and they shaved his ears, claiming there were mats and I know there weren’t any. So I wasn’t happy but I decided it was a fluke because they have always done so well. Well I took him back this month and again told them do not cut his tail (his ears are already cut by now).     I brought my 2 adult female cats in to stay at the pet hotel when a family member needed my help in another state. It was planned that I would need to keep them there for 4 weeks. Prior to taking them there, I was required to have them see the vet and get their shots updated which I did about 30 days prior. It was a about 5 days into the stay and they, without informing me in advance or without any evidence of this issue, decided to take my 2 cats to the vet because one was sad about my departure and was stressed and not eating. This is common with pets and does not rise to the level of an emergency vet appointment.

    When I complained about it, the manager at the time offered to discount my bill with various discounts she knew about but that never happened and when I went to pick up my girls, I was forced to pay the bill in order to get them. When I complained about this afterwards, I was told that they have the right to take my cats to the vet without my permission if they feel the animal is in emergency. But the contract says I am supposed to be notified and unless my cat's eyeball is hanging out of her head, I think there is time to make a call to the owner.

    The manager of the store refused to refund my money - $360.00. I notified the BBB and PetSmart still declined to refund. I have since sent my claim to the Attorney General in Alaska for investigation. I just want others to know that they DO NOT have the right to rack up charges without your knowledge and consent. This is ludicrous. This is a BS way for them to get richer. I plan to continue to fight it, and as part of that process, report this to all social media sites and eventually I will report it to the local news. This happened at the Tikatnu location in Anchorage Alaska but could happen anywhere. Please be advised.

    I have been using this location for about 9 years. Over the last couple years, including recently, I’ve noticed high turnover of their employees. I have also noticed the quality of their service slowly becoming less than desirable. But I always try to give second and sometimes third chances. Especially when I’ve had good results in the past. Unfortunately their chances have ran out. Just a couple days ago I took my Yorkie mix to get his summer hair cut. It took about hour and 45 minutes. Because I booked a express grooming appointment. When I came to pick him up I didn’t notice that his backside area was Not shaved evenly. So later that evening when I sat down with him, I looked him over more thoroughly. He had tufts of hair all over from his belly and legs that were not shaved. Shaved unevenly on his back and neck.

    The more I looked the worse it got. So I emailed the corporate office that evening to see if I could get a refund because of the horrible job they did with cutting his hair. The next afternoon I got a call from the manager of PetSmart's grooming. She apologized for the bad hair cut and offered a refund. And then told me that my dog is not the right fit for her salon. And then told me not to come back again and blamed me and my dog. I asked her to explain why she is blaming us for one of her groomer's mistakes. She wouldn’t give me a explanation besides me emailing the corporate office to complain. So her apology doesn’t mean jack to me! I will never go back there again!

    For years we used PetSmart for our dog's grooming services. We lived in Houston and never had an issue. Moved to the McKinney area and went there for grooming services. Unknown to us, groomer wrote negative review of our dog saying he was impatient, etc. Our dog never had an issue anywhere else. When I called to try and set up another grooming session we were told they would not do it because of THEIR negative review. When I explained past history and questioned groomer behavior (Taylor M) they just hung up on me. Did not want to discuss possibility that it could have been improper handling by the groomer that may have resulted in our dog being uncomfortable. Will not be going back there anymore, regardless of review. Unfortunate that business is not willing to hear customer points of view. Loss of business for sure.

    I saw a coupon in store for 15.00 off puppy training but was pressed for time and thought that I would register my puppy on-line. When I was able, I went online to see that the price was 144.00, but no coupon. So went back to the store next day, to register. There was now a coupon for 20.00 off. I thought 144.00- 20.00 was 124.00. But when clerk rang it in, including GST, 140.70. I questioned and they showed me that in store training was 159.00. When I went online and showed them that the price was 144.00, they showed me that the online price was already discounted (very small printing) and 144.00 was very bold. The coupon in the store said “in-store special” which is not true if sale is online too.

    Anyway, I requested a refund immediately. That refund is not in my account. I called customer service and they said the refund can take up to 7 days because of the banks. This is not true. Money came immediately out of my account, should go back in immediately. I can return something to Amazon and get my refund in 2 days and that requires me to drop off a package at a depot and it going by truck. I’ve now called the Legacy store where I was and they say 3 to 5 days for a refund. Which is it? 7 or 3 to 5. I think they are keeping my money and I want it back. I feel like they are purposely misleading and dishonest.

    Is there anything less than a star? That’s what I give them. I made an appointment for my standard poodle on Wednesday, April 19. The evening before his appointment, I was contacted by PetSmart to inform me that my preferred groomer would not be in. I was told that I could be put on the schedule for the 21st and to have him there at 8am.

    When I arrived at 8, the groomer was not there. Another groomer checked us in and took notes, stating that our groomer was running late for the morning. 1st problem, I adjusted my schedule to make sure he was taken care of, and you can’t come to work on time. Oh, okay! I was sitting at lunch almost 4 hours later when I received a call from Amber **. She sounded panicked and defeated. She requested that I head to her because my dog was being a hard client. When I asked her what was going on, her exact words were, “he had an accident in his kennel, and he was sniffing everything and more worried about what was going on with the other dogs and not sitting still for her."

    Hello, Petsmart unacceptably refused to honor corporate/company online price match guarantee policy, and wasted 2+ hours over the phone with me. Tiki cat velvet mouse is advertised for $1.00 at Tikipet.com, and is not on sale at this website. Item is in stock and has many 5 star reviews. Item is exactly within every single requirement of the online price match guarantee on Petsmart.com: 1. Item in stock. 2. Item is identical product. 3. Item is on online competitor's website and not on Auction site such as Amazon, or Google. 4. Item is not a sale/closeout/discount price. Supervisors from Petsmart, Val, and Shante refused to honor price match guarantee, and were very belligerent towards me over the phone.

    Shante refused to honor the policy belligerently, that I'm exactly within the guidelines of the policy.     Prices for wet cat food at PetSmart were expensive, but competitive with Petco etc. However, I went into the Boulder store yesterday to find that the prices for their Fancy Feast Medleys had risen by 0.10 cents a can. I don’t know about you, but 10 cents is a hardship for a senior buying 2 weeks worth for 2 cats! The regular grilled Fancy Feasts also rose by 6 cents a can as well. This is price gouging pure and simple - Sadly, I had to purchase canned food that was considerably less healthy for them, so I am done with PetSmart. I will start ordering online from their competitors from now on as the prices are a bit more reasonable. Bye Bye PetSmart, you just lost a customer!

    Horrible experience with their grooming salon staff. Walked in yesterday to have my dog's nails done and since they were overbooked, we were offered an appointment today. They weren't satisfied with the paperwork I showed for my dog's rabies vaccine so they said no problem, they will just contact the vet. All fine, I just asked if there was any problem to call me before the appointment so we don't have to make the trip. This morning, got no call, but just to make sure esp. since the weather and roads were horrible, I called before going there and was told, "Yeah his appointment is all good to go, we can even accommodate him earlier."

    Took my 9month old Shih Tzu to PetSmart 1/14/23 to be insulted by employees who obviously didn't want to put the time in to groom my puppy. She needed a bath and a haircut. They wanted to shave her. I said, "No. I do not want her shaved." She had 2 pieces of matted hair size of a quarter max. They then tell me they don't dematt the dogs. The girl Regina who was to groom her looked at the clock before walking over to retrieve the pup. The mngr I presume is looking at computer so I'm guessing the girl overbooked her appointments for $94 before taxes and tip and you can't commit to a bath, cut and comb, then they don't belong in the grooming business. These people (groomers) want a lot of money to do the basic bare minimum. Now for the money they charge they need to commit to a 3 hour grooming. Then an employee of above store comments on social media who didn't get anywhere near my puppy wants to say she was severely matted.

    I got a comb, brush, and bank account to put up to the mngr who stands behind his employees' rudeness telling me they're trained to recognize matted dogs. Needs to put up his money along with his rude employees. Winner takes all. Employee's words: Barbara **, Maryland PetSmart. "I'm sorry we were unable to groom your dog due to the severe matting near the skin." I wish I could upload a picture/video of my severely matted dog because everyone would see that is clearly not even close.

    I purchased a fish tank from PetSmart in Madison, WI at the east side location in June and some fish. The first batch of fish didn't last long, so we got more, and a few didn't make it so we got more. No this is not my first fish tank. Now today I wake up and there is water all over because it looks like the bottom of the tanks seal is broken. I call store nothing they can do call customer service they tell me it's up to the store location. So now I'm going to have to buy my daughter another tank.     Nov 24th - purchase items on the website that say they are in stock at my store. Send half my order to a store nowhere close to me. Same day or from a second store closer to me. Petsmart says It is up to me to call in to have the afterpay amount adjusted?? That's a scam. If people do not know this, they can end up paying for the full amount for stuff they didn't receive?     When ordering from their website for store pick up often the website displays that the item is available and allows you to process your transaction charging your credit card. When you receive a response from the individual store for the brick-and-mortar pick up some of the items that displayed as available and have been charged to your credit card are in fact not available. There is no way to cancel the remainder of the items in the order and receive credit to your credit card without going to the store or waiting a week for you the customer to not pick up the item and then hoping that someone in the store process the refund in some timely fashion after that week has passed. PetSmart needs to stop deceiving their customers and holding their money hostage.

    Store 0246 West Wichita, KS. I am absolutely horrified at what I’ve seen the last 3 days. On Wednesday, the cat adoption center was disgusting. It had obviously been days (if not weeks) since their cages had been cleaned. One poor cat’s litter was clumped together with days’ worth of feces. Another cat has a poop stain on his chest fur-I smelled him. A few had been adopted, but their cages were still full of dirty litter and poop. I tried to express my concerns to the manager, Allan, but he brushed me off with “we’re trying to work on it, we’re short-staffed.” I don’t care if you’re short-staffed; the animals are your *first priority*.

    After seeing how bad the cats were, I checked on the small animals. The parakeets were totally out of seed or had filthy water. The Guinea pigs had NO water. The hamster cages were disgusting. I went back to the store to see if things had been fixed. The cats had been taken care of. That’s it. The same animals from Wed night had no food or water. The cashier was on her phone. I asked to speak to the store manager, Bradley. He said he wasn't going to make excuses; he “made a bad choice and didn't think about checking the small mammals for food and water before he did a deep cleaning in the cat adoption room.” The pet care worker was JUST starting to do food and water at 3 pm, 20 hours after I called corporate and SIX HOURS AFTER THEY OPENED. The fish looked terrible too.

    I told the store manager I know everywhere is short-staffed right now. But if you can’t make sure that your animals are fed and have water—you shouldn’t have these animals. How do you not know how to delegate and prioritize so—if nothing else—your animals have food and water?! He said he has to have a “coaching conversation” with whomever was supposed to take care of the cats. (The nice way of saying this employee was getting a write-up.) But if you—the manager—can’t make sure that they’re okay after a week or however long it’s been? You both should be fired. I went back today to see if they’d fixed everything.

    Today, 2 cats had disgusting litter again. Another one’s water was dirty. The small mammals had mostly been taken care of, but one hamster was out of water. I brought it up to Allan, and he said that it shouldn’t be, they just took care of them yesterday. Then he blamed it on a leaky water bottle and said he would “get to it when they had a chance” as “they were extremely busy and short-staffed; there are only 3 people working.”

    They always only schedule 3 people on mid-shifts, or at least that’s how it was 8 years ago. They also weren’t busy at all while we were there. There were less than 5 people/families in the store. My best friend and I mentioned how they had several dead fish—he blamed it on a new delivery. (Same with 95% of the crickets being dead.) I mentioned the betta water, which according to Bradley—the store manager—was supposed to be changed on Wednesday. Allan blamed it on the lights that sit below them (which weren’t even on) making the betta water go bad in 2 days. Half of them were fine; they obviously just haven’t taken care of them. He was extremely rude the whole time.

    I don’t know why it’s so hard for these *pet store* employees to take care of the pets. I get being short-staffed; not having inventory put out on the floor or having a dirty/messy store is understandable. Not feeding or watering the animals, not providing clean litter or bedding, not pulling dead fish so the others don’t get sick—that is inexcusable. Period. Bradley and Allan both should not be working for a pet store. It should not take me, a customer, going back every day to make sure these animals are getting the care they need.

    Today, August 21, 2022, I left my dog for about 5 hours at the PetSmart on Route 10 in East Hanover. When we picked him up, his bottomless completely saturated with Pee. We were told that the saturation was “just a little happy pee” from seeing me and my wife. We have experienced “happy pee” with our Dog and this clearly was not the case. My guess is that he was ignored and allowed to sit in his own urine for hours. I am sure I am not the first to have a negative experience with the Pet Daycare and someone has to look at the overall purpose of this Daycare as they are clearly not providing the service that they are charging consumers for.

    Avoid PetSmart! Terrible customer service. Screwing around with prescription dog food order. Details follow. I placed a reorder for prescription dog food in early July. The online order asked for the prescription (even though it was a reorder) and it would not upload (tried from two computers from two different places). I called and was assured I didn’t need to upload it since it was on file. A week later I received an email telling me the order was on hold pending a prescription. I emailed it and called again. The representative said he released the order for shipping and Fedex confirmed it.

    Today I get an email canceling the order due to lack of prescription and non response from vet!! So I’m trying to figure out how to get the food quickly. The last thing the 12 y/o dog needs is a change in food on top of cancer, heart disease, thyroid and gi issues. I call again and ask why in the world would they do this after confirming with fedex that it had been shipped. The representative tells me it wasn’t cancelled and has no idea why I received the email. I will try to secure the food from somewhere as a backstop and keep monitoring the fedex tracking it. But this is nuts.

    This is the third time PetSmart has shipped an order to an address I haven't lived at for three years. I've had some orders delivered to my correct address but I have no way of knowing if it's going to my correct address until the order ships. PetSmart has told me previously they are unable to change the shipping address once the order ships. Every other purchase I have made through PayPal has been shipped correctly except the three from PetSmart. I don't know what their problem is but I'd be very surprised if other PayPal users haven't experienced similar problems. I live in a different city than where the order shipped to and have no way to pick it up. And it is the fault of PetSmart.

    The 1st time I went to grooming was for face, feet & fanny $30.00. Picked-up dog paws were very hairy. Groomer Megan said it was a touch-up and for $20.00 more she would do clean paws. Rubbish! 2nd time, full groom. My 9-month-old puppy was returned to me half-shaven. Groomer Megan said he would not hold still. Now, he has been groomed by others many times. Yes, he's hyper because he's a puppy. Could she have someone help her? Couldn't she put peanut butter on a spoon and have him hold still? When I picked him up I asked to speak with her and she wouldn't come out to talk to me. Just horrible!

    I ordered two cases of canned cat food and a cardboard scratcher from PetSmart. I do business with PetSmart only because I buy their in store brand of canned cat food, Authority. Otherwise, I would never do business with them again. The box was too big for the product and PetSmart didn't put in any packing paper or cardboard at all so product was loose in box. Of course, then you know when Fed Ex got their hands on it, it went from bad to worse. I took pics but do not see how to post them here. The cans were busted and soupy gross spoiled canned cat food was all over inside of box. I am surprised PetSmart is still in business. They are supposedly sending me a replacement order, however, based on prior experience with PetSmart's replacement orders, I am sure I will most likely have to spend yet more time on the phone with them.

    This should be negative one. In Jan 2022, my wife took my dog there for full bath and haircut. There was a long line on that day, she went home and did not make payment. I went back there to the grooming service and front desk asked me to pay at the store cashier. This morning, my wife tried to make another appointment and was told that we did not payment for Jan 2022. I drove to the store and waited at the door of the grooming service more than 30 min. During the waiting, a lady with blue hair served a customer came after me without saying anything like I was not there.

    I showed my credit transaction picture to the manager named Lacey. She argued with me that was not grooming service. She worked with another lady in Petsmart and they found no transaction in Jan after I gave them my credit card to verify. I made several purchases in Jan 2022 and they had no record. I had to go home and searched for the receipt. I showed up there again and showed the receipt to Lacey. She looked at the receipt and said "ok..ok" without saying Sorry :-). I asked her to update her record that I already made payment. I doubt that she will do that. I wasted 3 hours because of PetSmart poor management and customer service at the Pet Grooming store. I will not go back again.

    My family adopted a 13 weeks old chocolate lab that we named Harley Davidson. We enrolled Harley in the Pet Smart puppy school; but, the first week was postponed by the trainer, Harvey, due to inclement weather. So, our first training class was when our puppy was 14 weeks old. Harley is truly a puppy: excited by everything, loving and playful. And, teething. Harvey seemed frustrated by Harley from the beginning. In fact, he commented, in front of the class, that we should have enrolled Harley earlier. Both my husband and I said - simultaneously - that "we just got him".

    We tried the class for three weeks and things just got worse. Finally, in the third week, Harvey used some kind of dog repellant (pepper spray) on Harley, which, we found out, was against Pet Smart policy. We reported the issue and were advised that Harvey was very popular. Nothing was done. Pet Smart said that the cameras in the store don't really work so they couldn't confirm what actions were taken.     Did I mention that my family is ** and the other families in the program were **. This store has an awful training program and Harvey the trainer is horrible. He has no patience and uses harmful tactics - Pet Smart will say they don't condone the bad practices but will not do anything to prevent them either. You're risking your dog's mental health enrolling in a Pet Smart training program.

    Sheila W. Washington, DC. I just love going to this PetSmart. I have been shopping here since I adopted my first Rottie, Angel in 2002. The first people I met at that time were Lidia, Tammy and Sharella who is in grooming. Angel was my first dog in my adult life so I knew very little. Both Tammy and Lidia took care of that aspect walking me through all that was needed and Sharella walked me through her grooming needs. I felt like part of their family and vice versa. I shop here all of the time and take my newest member, Tina for grooming. Zoe now grooms Tina with such care and love that we both are tickled pink with how beautiful she looks when I pick her up. Johnny is superb as the District Manager. He is so personable, knowledgeable and has such an excellent rapport with his staff.

    I love everything about this PetSmart and I must because I live in DC and drive at least 30 minutes to shop and have my fur baby groomed here. I even took my friend to have her dog groomed by Seth. My friend was so pleased and outdone to see how handsome Papa Bear looked after his grooming. The groomers are awesome and so helpful even if they are not scheduled to groom your dog. The time, love and advice that they give is so well received and much needed for those of us who lack knowledge and the necessary needs for our pets' grooming. I find myself spending at least 20 or 30 minutes extra in the store because I feel so welcomed and they are just my other family away from home.

    I don't know all of the names of the staff here but I must mention those that where I do know the names. I am forever grateful to them for their help, answering my questions, making such excellent suggestions and treating me with such superb customer service, professionalism and so much LOVE, With that being said, Tina and I would like to send THANKS AND SHOUT OUTS TO: Johnny, Tammy, Lidia, Erik, Alex, Gianne, Jasmin, Cecilia, Rosa, Seth and Zoe. You all make this store AWESOME and you definitely make me want to continue coming back for more. I love you all.     owNEW. Went to Petsmart on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo New York to get my puppy a haircut. I told the groomer Tricia to cut everything but his tail and the hair on the top of his head behind his eyes. I even had a clip in his hair just in case she needed it clipped while grooming him. I repeated myself to her probably 10 times. I repeated myself so much they looked at me like OK!! There was also another Groomer who overheard Me repeat myself and I’m like.. I’m just making sure that you do as I ask. I go to pick up my puppy whose hair I have been growing since birth he’s about to be 1 Feb 19. All of his hair was cut an inch from his eyes. Curl in his tail GONE!! She listened to nothing I said NOTHING!! when I went back in there to confront her she said not one word no apology no nothing. Her attitude was unacceptable And unprofessional. She did a horrible job on his haircut.

    WHERE'S MY ** MONEY!!!! I placed a online order on 12/31. Had to unfortunately cancel the same day because they were going to send the wrong item. Did everything I'm supposed to do. Have called customer service and the store numerous times and I've yet to receive my refund. Lousy customer service in terms of no one knows what to do to correct this situation. False promises and I'm still waiting for my $165.00 almost two weeks now. I don't think I'm ever going to receive it! My best advice stay far away from this company!

    LOL set up an appointment online for the FREE exam... The call me the week of the appointment to say the appointment I scheduled cannot be honored due to doctor being out of office. They offer to reschedule for a time when the free exam coupon has EXPIRED!!! I was skeptical when I saw the offer of a free exam and now I see I was correct. LOL PetSmart... Just lost a customer forever.

    I brought in a dog that has a double coat while she was heavily shedding. It's just that time of year and I didn't have time to wash and dry her myself so I was willing to pay someone else to do it. When I got there, they saw that she had an undercoat and warned me that they might shave her. I told them that they couldn't shave any part of her that wasn't a sanitary area because it would damage her top coat. They got really annoyed with me, even after I told them that if they really found a mat in a non sanitary area, that I would work on it at home. They warned me that pulling on mats close to the skin could hurt her but looked disgusted when I said that I knew all that because I have worked for a groomer before. At home, I would make time to slowly work on it and I knew for a fact that none of her tangles or mats were close to the skin, especially in her non sanitary spots because I check those every day.

    She did have a tiny mat or thick tangle near her front leg, but it was at the end of her fur, not near the skin, and I should have trimmed that off before I got there because it would have taken like two seconds. It was on one of her longer pieces of fur and considered she is a long haired dog, she wouldn't have even noticed me trimming it off. I guess it got all wrapped up in the wind while she was playing.

    Anyway, they got mad at me and took my dog to the back. I'd like to mention that no one talked to my dog the entire time I was there. I understand that they work with dogs all day but so does every vet I've ever gone to and every grooming service I've seen or worked for before and they always talk to the pet. I was dismissed by the receptionist sitting down and just not looking at me again until I asked if I needed to talk to a higher up about the shaving thing. I thought I needed to talk to someone else because the lady who dragged my dog to the back was very angry and she said she needed to talk to someone (whose name I don't recall), so what else was I supposed to think? She said I didn't and I could go.

    I spent the next couple hours fuming and stressed. I was mostly fuming because I was stressed to be honest. I was worried they'd shave my dog despite what I said. I was also worried they would mistreat my dog because they were mad at me. I was really fired up about it because you can be rude to me, whatever.... but don't harm my dog and don't shave her top coat because it takes ages for it to grow back for her breed, if it grows back at all, and it usually grows back wonky. I feel like I shouldn't have had to have been that worried about my dog but nothing in their behavior suggested that I shouldn't be worried. I thought about going back and just getting her back several times but I had to drop her off on my lunch break and couldn't get out of work.

    When they called to tell me she was ready, they nervously told me that they couldn't grind her nails because she hated it. The nail grinding is part of one of their packages that had conditioner and teeth brushing, I honestly couldn't have cared less about the nail grinding lol. I told them that was perfectly fine and if she hated it, then she hated it. It's all good.

    I went up and got her and thankfully her top coat wasn't shaved. Her sanitary area also wasn't shaved, which I thought was odd because she has A LOT of fur on her haunches and I said they could shave her sanitary area if they needed and they had been really worked up about her just existing with an undercoat... but she looked great and I was so relieved that she looked unharmed. She was super ready to leave but I was too so we went.

    After I got home, I found that they shaved the spot that had a mat like a full two inches away from her skin that was like the size of a dime near her front leg. The spot was covered by all her other hair from her back and they shaved about an inch and a half stripe for a dime sized tangle that was dangling at the very end of her fur. I honestly feel like they did that just to spite me.

    Maybe they thought I was being a Karen because I wasn't willing to let them shave my whole dog just because she has a double coat. I was firm in my tone because I had to leave her there with them and I asked if I needed to see a higher up because the lady walked away WITH MY DOG and said that she needed to tell someone about this. She said a name that I don't remember but... like... she was mad, pulling my dog behind her, and said she was going to go talk to someone. What else was I supposed to think?

    Anyway, they did a good job with my dog's grooming other than spitefully shaving a strip of her fur. I'm not that mad that they shaved the strip because it's covered by the rest of her coat, so if it grows in wonky, it's just a little spot. I am annoyed that they shaved that spot when it could have easily been snipped off far away from my dog's skin... and heck it would have been far from her whole leg, if they just snipped it with scissors, but to be fair, I should have done that at home.

    I will never ever be returning to that location for grooming. They were rude, which is normally whatever for me but they were alone with my dog and I was forced to worry about her safety for the entire last half of my work shift. Also, they're clearly spiteful so I still can't rest assured that I worried for nothing because it's not like my dog can tell me if they yelled at her, hit her, or any of that just because I told them not to shave her top coat.

    I ordered three gift cards online on December 8. The funds were taken from my account right away, but I have not received the gift cards. They are Christmas gifts. I called customer service three times and finally got through. Absolutely no help. The representative clearly was using a “script” to answer my questions. The representative used my confirmation number (the only number I received and only one email) to check my order and told me exactly what I already read myself - in process. She also informed me that the only way to track an order is to “pay” for tracking, which apparently was an option when I made the purchase. Seriously. I was also told that the orders are sent via FedEx and then given to USPS for delivery.

    After reading many reviews, I anticipate that I will not get the cards that I paid for and that I will not get my money. With that said, I will have to plan to file a “fraud” case with my bank - something many people end up doing because of their individual experiences with PetSmart.

    HORRIFIC experience!!! My doodles not had their ear completely shaved off!!! This is gonna take 9-12 months to grow back!! Everyone there was rude, especially the manager when I called to complain. She told me there was “no such thing as a longer doodle face”! What!!!! Their own employee used those words at drop off when asking if we wanted the same cut as last time with a 5 blade and longer doodle face!! And my poor mini doodle also had his entire face shaved down. We are traumatized. The dogs were boy strange after arriving home... I got a call around 3:30 to come pick only one of them up because he had gotten out of his kennel and they didn't want to put him back in there!!! They said they were almost done with the other dog but when my husband arrived, he had to wait until past 5!!!! The whole experience was just awful. Stay away from this place at all costs.

    I ordered a fluval 407 canister filter on 9/22/21. On the 9/30/21 I entered the tracking number into the Google search bar to find that Fed Ex was delivering my package. I went to the Fed ex website to find out my package was delivered the day prior. I called Fed ex who proceeded to tell me the package was delivered to my old address and to contact PetSmart. I then proceeded to call PetSmart who apologized and told me they would ship me a new filter to the right address. A week later I called to get a update and a tracking number which I did not receive. I was given a reorder number and told it would be expedited to me.

    Several days later and still no package I called PetSmart's customer service line once again. This time I was told I would have to contact fed ex myself and that they weren't sending me a replacement after all even though I was told twice it was on the way! 3 weeks and no filter or no resolution and I'm getting blown off by both PetSmart and Fed ex. Basically I've been told although the package was delivered to the wrong address that I'm out of $200+.

    Unless you want to endure a nightmare do not return by mail, I had the misfortune of purchasing an invisible fence that wouldn't pair up with additional collar I bought also from PetSmart. I mailed product back and received delivery confirmation September 21 2021. Here it is October 4 2021 and I am still having to contact PetSmart in regards to refund which I know am being told will be in 2-3 business days. This is after 15 emails 2 calls from me and 1 from their staff only to have to rehash story every time and give tracking number each time.

    They do not make the process easy for you, this was my first time and last using PetSmart as their staff on the phone are clueless and you are truly at their mercy even when they send you a email stating refund is being processed they still call and say, "Oh we need this or that to complete refund," I have never been so stressed about a refund as this store has made me. I will continue to use local Pet Supplies Plus for all my needs.

    Every two weeks, religiously I have gone to Petsmart and bought two weeks of supplies. Two weeks ago, I did as usual. On the way home I noticed a horrific smell. I get the bag home, open it up and in the bottom of the bag were maggots and a worm. Some of the food was open. I tried handling it privately, thru direct messages on Twitter. They told me that the management team would respond. I got a canned email. I tried to call the manager mentioned and was put on eternal hold. Zero further efforts on their part. Sadly I won't be back even though it is a huge inconvenience FOR ME. But, clearly they don't care for their customers.

    I bought a aquarium and fish at PetsMart. To my dismay, two of the fish died within the first week; things happen. What I didn't expect to happen was the color of the water change to the color of the two dead fish (yellow/red). Google informed that I bought man-made fish. Petsmart assured me before I bought the Glow Fish, that they were not man-made. Fine. They reimbursed. Now, 4 months later, my pump has gone out on the aquarium, and I find out that there is only a 60 day warranty. How do you make a 60 day warranty on a product that needs to work continuously for life? I don't care about getting refunds and checks in the mail; I would be much more satisfied with quality products.

    Booked app. today with Petsmart Ashland KY for 12;15, took pet over. Was ask to show proof of vaccinations which I did then was told have to wait 48 hrs and they didn't even offer to rebook app. This is the most rudest staff in this dept, every time I seem to visit there are always new faces with same attitudes.     Today I booked an appointment for my dog to be groomed, which she was. The groomer always does a nice job with the cut. I use the same groomer for consistency. Usually, Monday through Thursday, the price for a basic groom is $50. The last time I went to pay, the price was $53. They said they raised the cost. Today, I the cost was $58. When I asked why it was more, the girl said that this week they didn't give the Mon-Thursday discount due to the holiday. I asked what holiday she was referring to. She replied "July 4th". I said, "It's June 27th."

    They don't have any prices posted and no one thought to tell me that it was going to be more. I find this a huge problem. Is this how corporate America treats their customers?! They raise the price anytime they want and don't convey it to the public until it is too late? The fact that they don't have any prices posted is concerning. I talked to the manager who apologized but didn't do anything about it. With that, I let her know that it was terrible the way they treat their regular customers and that I would not be using the service again. PetSmart needs to stop pulling the wool over their customers' eyes.

    Do not order from Petsmart.com as if you don't receive the merchandize, you are out your money for the order. They will not refund an order that was not received. I've stated many times that I had not received the merchandize. The rep kept on saying the order was delivered and no refund will be given. That's not how an online order is supposed to work. They need to learn from other online retailers on how to handle customer request when an order is not received.

    I was so excited to have this PetSmart close by with a grooming saloon, but not worth it at all. Do not go to this location to get your dog groomed!! I've taken my dog to couple of different places for grooming but never had this kind of experience. First of all it was hard to get an appointment when I needed, after long wait finally I got an appointment due to one cancellation. I got so excited and took my Doodle for her appointment next day. When I walked in the groomer Jennifer W. checked my puppy and said there are no other problems but she will have to charge extra for the special shampoo since the puppy has some matting and also for the nails and plucking hair from her ears, on top of full package price and will let us know if there would be any extra charges when we pick the puppy up.

    She charged us double the price, since my pup really needed the bath and haircut so I didn’t argue and agreed to pay hoping to see my puppy will come out looking clean and beautiful with everything taken care of. I gave her special instructions and told her to keep my puppy’s hair longer at least an inch or more. When I went to pick up my puppy, I was very disappointed, sad, mad and frustrated to see my puppy completely shaved, hair on her ears were completely shortened. She looked horrible and different like a sick puppy, groomer Jennifer didn’t even shave her evenly, her coat looked so terrible and bumpy, neck area, behind the ears was completely shaved like no hair, two back legs looked slimmer than the front legs due to uneven shave. I wish I would have never taken her here. After paying double the price I had terrible experience. I will never take my puppy back to this place again, never ever with the groomer Jennifer W.

    My dog had a grooming appointment at 12:30pm. I took him in on time. Walked in, Cheryl the groomer who had his appointment with was cutting a big dog hair still. She said it will be 2 more hours! I asked if there is someone else, she said no. I said, "Why didn't you guys call us at least and give us a heads up." She didn't say anything. She said, "You can come back another day!" Like I am sitting around doing nothing all day long that I needed her permission to drive home for 20 min and come back another day. Lol. SMH. I left and called to talk to a manager. JIMMY the assistant store manager said that I should have left my dog and said they don't call anyone. I should have let them keep my dog in a cage for hours till Cheryl can catch up with her work! Joke!!! So he wanted me to rearrange my time. I asked to talk to the store manager and he said they aren't there. Long story, I was still talking and he said, "Have a good day" and he hung up!

    I called their corporate office. Karen was very nice and said someone will get back to me in 48 hours! So now it's been a WHOLE WEEK! I called their corporate office 3 more times and talked to event their manager at the corporate office and still no one has called me back!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ZERO!!! They need help and training and someone to go in and help them learn how to take care of customers! In the Mclean and Vienna area, you need a 5-star service not a 1*!!!! So sad! We've been your customer for 14 years!!! My whole family goes to this store but I guess no more! It's time to move on to a better place that cares for its customers! Now actually it's day 10 since I've been waiting for someone to call me. I talked to a manager at their customer service center today name Trish. She said they will get back to me today. It's been 5 hours and I am still waiting. So disappointed about their customer service. They need training and help!! We will take our pets to Petco from now on as obviously these people don't care!

    Late December I purchased a fish tank with a built in water pump, that used Topfin filter RH-L. Early January I needed to replace my filter for the tank however when I went into the store, they did not have stock for the filter. I went in a week later when I was told there would be more from delivery. There was none in stock again. I was then told to buy a bulk filter pad without carbon and replace every 3 to 5 days till they got a new filter, I did this. Now it's early February and even despite going in every week to get a filter there is none. Now due to improper filter being used and build up, even with regular cleaning, my pump seized and all the fish I had died. I was forced to throw away my tank and explain to my 3 year old why all her fish died. The store is the only one in the town of Abilene that sells Topfin which is a PetSmart exclusive. Online charges nearly a $100 for this filter when in store was only $14.99.

    I made an online order. Had to open a PayPal account to pay for the items - their system does not accept Visa Debit. I do not use credit. I wanted it delivered to my home - it was an option I chose. This was on a Saturday. I followed up on Tuesday as I hadn't heard anything. Their system did not have my order. The one I had already paid for. I wrote to them, they came back to me a few days later saying one item was backordered - this did not show up when I ordered and paid. They did not tell me which product was backorder... So I asked, they came back with the same email I had gotten the day before. So I said to cancel the order period. That took another 3 emails to accomplish. Customer service does NOT EXIST.

    Petsmart took full amt of my online order, but only 1/2 of order is assigned track number and email notice, no mention or record of other 1/2 of order, no tracking for it etc. yet cust. svc emailing that it was already shipped and received by me....LIES...and I can't even get online to look at my order info, their site has crashed and error message is all you get for a week now. Can't even get a person on the phone to talk to! All I get are email replies that either have nothing to do with the issue (canned replies) or lies that 'it was shipped' yet no proof even that they sent the other 1/2 of order....Plus no stock issue, because in all the stores, yet they aren't refunding the missing 1/2 of my order! I now have to file claims everywhere, and will NEVER use them again....If you don't want to lose your money and get ZERO PRODUCT in return, shop elsewhere!

    I had the most ridiculous experience with an online order. I signed up for Petsmart as we got a puppy 2 days back. I did make some puchases in-store and they asked me to sign up for pet training classes/grooming sessions, etc. I wanted to do additional purchases, due to covid we decided to buy online. I had coupon and gift cards which I wanted to use, but there some technical glitch in your website and was not telling me make the purchase and also the coupon/card pins was also not working. I called and the lady spend 2 hrs on phone and had similar issue, she was able to select the location and place the order. I hung up because she wasted my 2 hrs of time. I missed two work calls and then cancelled one more meeting to resolve this because I wanted this product immediately and was willing to go to store and pick up to save time.

    The rep somehow messed up and escalated to her supervisor, who somehow I thought was a sensible one, she apologised and gave me some discounts due to the major inconvenience caused and wasting my 2.30 hrs behind this. Now she verified twice and thrice and asked me which location I wanted Morrisville or Apex, after all that discussion, I did tell I don't see an email confirmation yet, but I see my card has been charged. The email came a bit delayed, and to my surprise I see a random store in Arizona as a pickup location. I doublechecked my account and all information, because I had signed up this morning. All account information seemed correct. I don't know how the hell did she pick arizona location.

    I call again wasted 45 min to explain what happened and the rep said I have to cancel that order and reorder. To that I asked her how will I be able to use the gift card, coupon, etc and additional discounts she gave for a different purchase. She said, "I can resend you a $10 gift card." Well, what a explanation and stupid answer was that, when I had got total of $25 off including everything. The matter is still not resolved. But my previous order which I placed wasting 2.30 hrs has been cancelled and now after wasting the whole day, neither am I able to pick that product from store.

    I lost a day, Amazon is out of stock now, cannot deliver by tomorrow. I am waiting for a supervisor to call me and resolve this, not sure if I will receive a call or not. Becasue she said she will call me and resolve this within 5-15 min, it's been 45 min and I have not received any calls from Petsmart. This is an absolute ridiculous experience and I will cancel each and everything I had signed up for with Petsmart and share my experience with every possible consumer site. Worst online purchasing experience ever. I bought from Chewy's and amazon this morning and it was absolutely quick and smooth.

    I received a shipment from them that was completely damaged. They did not add shipping material and the heavy items crushed and tore the smaller items. I submitted photos as they requested. They then said I would have to take the damaged item into the store manager for an exchange. I have an underlying condition and am quarantined and why I ordered online. I asked if they would pick it up. They refused repeating they didn’t care and I’d have to go into the store or was out of luck. Extremely rude customer service and horrible shipping. I deleted my account with them and won’t be shopping again either in the US or my other home in Canada. Horrible customer service who don’t care about loyal repeat customers which I was before now.

    We had ordered TEN bags of sand for my salt water tank. We received three bags (seven bags short) of sand FOUR days after the date we paid for overnight! Also they sent us a box with a literal circle weight...but charges us 300$ for 3 bags of sand that cost only 18$... and we only have THREE... should only be MAYBE 70$... not 300$!!! We have tried for two days to call customer on hold for hours just for the representative to hang up as soon as it’s my turn. I want my money back. This is ridiculous that Petsmart doesn’t have customer service employees that answer phones... that’s literally their only job requirement.

    Deborah at Petsmart does not know how to cut hair for Pomeranian. She will tell you she does but don't trust her. My baby came home with the worst cut ever! Her hair was sticking out in every direction. Her hair on the back of her head was cut flat almost shaved! There used to be a lady her named Heather but she left. Do not let Deborah cut your babies hair.

    I contacted PetSmart to find out how their chip program works. Not sure if I could just show up with a stray. The first person told me they don't have a vet on site or anyone able to read a chip. OK.. She tells me to call another location. I call only to be told PetSmart does not have a contract to check for chips. I would need to contact a vet.. That's all, click.. Wow!! All the money that is spent at PetSmart you would think that if our fur baby were to get lost you would be one of the first to help us get reunited. It is advertised as such..please fix this this is not right.

    If I could give zero Stars I would. I will never shop at any PetSmart ever again. I bought what turned out to be dangerous cat toy at their store. The very next day my cat got a hold of the toy, chewed it up and ingested the tinsel pieces. I had to rush him to the vet and ended up with a very expensive vet bill and he was sick for a week throwing up and dehydrated. If I hadn't taken my cat to the vet when I did he could have died. I contacted the store and told them I felt this toy needed to be taken off the shelf because my vet had seen these types of toys with foil like tinsel injure other cats before. The store manager was nice and tried to help but the decision was made by PetSmart corporate to continue selling the toy because it had a disclaimer on the package.

    I had also asked if they would reimburse me for the vet bill as a good faith measure since they sold me this dangerous toy and it caused my cat injury and a week of illness, worry and stress. I explained that I have been a good customer for many years spending $150 to $200 a month in their store. Over the lifetime of my two cats (not even including my previous pets) that is a lot of money. They refused which in my opinion was shortsighted over a $400 vet bill. It is my opinion that PetSmart cares more about profits than they do the retaining their clients and whether or not another cat would be injured by this toy.

    If you love your cat please do not buy this toy and I would encourage anyone to question whether or not PetSmart deserves your business. I pray no other cat is injured by this toy. Here it is 2 weeks later and my cat is still throwing up little pieces of tin foil. Another trip to the vet. God help my kitten to live. I'm sure their competitors will appreciate gaining my business.

    I have been taking both my dogs to Pet Smart grooming Newport Ky from their very first groom. I always went to the same groomer; she was very kind and gentle and the dogs enjoyed seeing her. Although they had some nervousness when entering they were fine, but around a year ago something happened. After a visit I noticed my female dog when entering the lot to go into the store was very nervous, in the store she started crying and shaking badly. My husband and I both were very concerned and did mention to our groomer was there some change or did something happen. She said no she was not aware of anything. Slowly each return my female continued to get worse, I would have to pick her up to take her in, she would no longer walk into the store if I tried she would pull me back to the car.

    During this time, I noticed my male dog started to show increasing anxiety. Again, I asked if there had been any changes to their grooming and is there anything they could do that might help them to feel more comfortable. Finally, on this last trip, when I entered the parking lot, they both ran into their crate and I had to pull them out. Sadly, it was very hot, and covid masks did not help. After I would get one out then when pulling the other out the first would run back in. After 10 minutes I was able to get them out of the car. They kept trying to jump in while I was trying to shut the door.

    When I went into the store again, I asked again as my dogs were cowering in the corner trying to run away and one of the groomers told me that them getting their hair cut is like me going to the dentist. I was horrified. I knew before I entered the store that day, I would never go back to Pet Smart groomers, but that comment solidified my decision. I was able to find a groomer that would take the time to allow for the dogs to de-stress and as they say at this groomer it is a spa day, not a dentist appointment.

    My suggestion if you have a dog that you know is more sensitive, never take them to Pet Smart grooming, it is more of a conveyor grooming service. Sadly, my groomer never came back after covid, she was the only reason I kept going. But I really think something happened. A note, I regularly groomed my dogs as well. That was a comment my groomer made that she liked that I kept up on their grooming. Look around before you take your dogs to be groomed, if you can’t do it yourself then take the time to find a smaller place that will show your dog the respect and love it deserves.

    Brought my dog in to have her nails trimmed. We had an appointment. I requested grinding - not clipping. We have been doing grinding since the first time here. When they brought her back out one of her nails was damaged. They had used the clippers and split a nail. They said "we're very sorry, but we are very busy and forgot to use the grinder. Her nail should heal up and we will do a better job next time". There cannot be another time. My dog shakes and whines will not enter the store even to go shopping. I will never use their grooming services again.

    PetSmart used to be our place of choice for our dog grooming. The service has been hit or miss, but the prices have skyrocketed. We had been quoted and have paid $89 - 102 for a Top Dog with Furminator (just a shampoo, we're told), but the last two times we picked him up, we were billed $150. This was for the same amount of time as the earlier lower priced groomings which discounts the claim that there was more work involved this time. PetSmart began this price gouging over the past year and I can no longer recommend or use PetSmart with these practices.

    Usually I don’t have a problem with PetSmart. I shopped there for my fur babies and reptiles. During this pandemic, I was in need of supplies, unfortunately, the only way I can purchase anything is if I have a credit card to hold online. Not everyone has a credit card. Grocery stores have up to 40 people walking around at all times with the rest standing in a line outside the store. That’s ok, but tapping my debit for my purchase isn’t? I called the Essex Feed store as I started to panic that I may have to ask to borrow a credit card, who wants to ask family or friends for their credit card? Essex Feed had curb side pick up and even allowed me to pay by debit! Essex Feed, you have never let me down... Pet Smart.... you just lost a customer. People without credit cards need their supplies too. Go get a prepaid. Now you’re sending me to another store to be able purchase this item.

    My 9.5 year old dog was groomed at PetSmart 4 days ago. I dropped her off, but went back before she was ready, so I could watch some of the grooming through the glass window. The groomer yelled at her and ripped the comb through her fur. My dog was screaming and in a cowering position. My dog is still shaking and disturbed by the experience.

    Been taking my dogs to PetSmart grooming for over 14 years. Drop dog off one day, come back and the bill is $150.. What???? It’s usually $85 to $95, manager tells me he was really bad. My dog is a house dog that only goes out to do his business. Now I am blocked from booking a appointment on phone app, have to call and talk with manager to book a grooming appointment. Manager tells me she can only book with a bather now not a real groomer???? I guess they don’t need my business or care about 10 year plus loyal customers.     We brought our one-year-old, Goldendoodle to PetSmart for grooming. The experience was the worst we've ever had. First off, the groomers are extremely rude. When trying to tell them how we'd like the dog cut, they'd cut us off and say "NO! We don't comb the dogs. We shave them." Our Goldendoodle is a straight hair breed, but gets knots that can be combed out. They don't comb. They shave. We pointed out that the we spoke to the breeder who recommend shampooing the dog and following up with conditioner. Then the knots would comb out and they'd be able to groom him easier and less traumatically. The said, no. It is PetSmart's policy to shave the dog first THEN shampoo. So they can't comb the dog. They'll get brush burn - whatever that is.

    We had paid for express service because we didn't want the dog to be placed in a cage - and we were assured he wouldn't be. While I was holding the door open for my wife, the groomers didn't realize I was still in the waiting area. I heard all sorts of snide remarks and nasty comments. So I simply turned to them and said "Really?" and walked out. Apprently, they assumed I would go to the manager - so they went and told them what had happened. The manager called to tell us that it was PetSmart's policy to shave the dog then shampoo. They are not legally authortize to comb or brush the dog. We asked him to do his best.

    Five minutes later, he called and told us he could not groom the dog and we should pick him up. When we did, he had been traumatized having been placed in a cage surrounded by other barking dogs. There was no apology. Simply, here's your dog. Get out. From start to finish, this was a horrendous experience. We will never consider bringing our pets to ANY PetSmart ever again. How can you trust people with your pet when they don't even treat owners respectfully?

    PetSmart, West Covina, CA - Eastland Center #2179. We only go in for treats, toys, and food for our two dogs. They have a large selection with helpful employees. This PetSmart grooming team is less than satisfactory on the way they treated our two dogs, we now go to another groomer. The groomer at this location cut our dog's ear and the Veterinary technicians services they provided was terrible. They were very rude and made us feel that it was our fault they cut the dog's ear.

    We visit one of two PetSmart stores in our area. One is on Tatum and Shea and the other is on 92nd Street and Shea. Stores are always clean and well-maintained. The employees and staff there are delightful, always willing to help. We usually bring our dogs there, and each time they're offered a treat. They do enjoy going there. We have done training there in the past, although I find it mediocre At best. They also offer Veterinary Services, although the vets that are there do not usually stay very long.

    Prices are mid-range. Most of the items you can get less expensive on Amazon. Most if not all of the animal toys are made in China, which is something that we have always avoided after having an incident with toys from China that killed our dog. I do love the fact that they have a number of rescue shelters coming in for pet adoption. Overall it is a clean place with nice employees and it's a great place to go to if I need something and cannot wait to get it online.

    PetSmart has been my fav for a while. The stores are brightly lit, clean and priced fare. I love that they help with getting cats adopted out to families. There is room for improvement as the rabbit food is not always in stock and the cashiers are some times friendly depending on the person. I use to live close to one, but now I have to travel a bit to get to one. However I’d rather be in PetSmart than any other pet store.

    I really like Petsmart. They’re always helpful and friendly in there and they have cats to look at. But the real reason I want to be loyal is because they were good to me. I bought a dog bed for my huge Doberman. He was a puppy. He destroyed everything. The instructions on the box for the bed said that it was rugged and durable. My puppy ate it up overnight.     My family have been frequent visitors to several Petsmarts in our area recently due to adopting Milo, a Jack Russel Terrier as well as being the proud pet family of Ellie the cat and Patches the Guinea Pig. So far we have enjoyed our experiences. The staff is always friendly and helpful even though at times they may not know 100% about the small animals they offer for sale. The stores always have what we are looking for and have a wide selection of items to choose from. Having Banfield Vet clinics attached to many stores is also a draw for customers or clients, though we have not used their service as of yet. While I am a proponent for adoption the animals that they offer seem to be well cared for and are given the items they need to be comfortable.

    Well- all pet stores basically sell the same products - and pet food and treats. Petsmart offers a good variety of products and supplies and foods for many pet types. I know I can find the food I am looking for- well stocked. The food is not out of date- stock is rotated. I can find food that is better than grocery store brands. This saves me time when I want to restock my supply. Often there is a coupon or discount which also helps the budget. Prices are nearly the same in most pet stores. I can find treat choices also. If I need a new collar, leash, harness, I can check that aisle- good selection and many sizes in stock. Anyway it is a one stop place to go to get what is needed for your pet.

    I took my dog when he was a puppy to the PetSmart training class. I really like the trainer and she took the time to help you with your puppy. As far as alternative products that they sell I do think they need to provide a better selection of vegan/non-gmo/gluten-free/grain free products. Also, an alternative flea and tick alternative instead of Seresto etc.

    I enjoy going to PetSmart because I have one two minutes from my home which makes it extremely easy to get to. I also like PetSmart because they are very knowledgeable. I've had to get help choosing a food for my cat who was having UTI issues and I didn't realize there was a cat food to help the urinary track system. I needed a lot of questions answered when setting up my fish tank, they answered them all. You can't go wrong when it comes to PetSmart!

    I use PetSmart to have my dogs nails done. We continue to use them because he likes the young man that trims his nails, and the young man seems to like Lucky also. I also have purchased deer antlers for him to chew, BilJac treats for dogs, and his favorite toy, a square toy which holds the BilJac treats. They are dispensed to him as he turns it over...     They groom cats - what else can I say!! The only bad part is they only groom them Monday through Thursday which was not convenient when I worked but is fine now I'm in retirement. They keep up with the animal's shot records and don't bother you with calls suggesting you bring them in so they can make money. Treat the animals right, too.
