I reached out via email regarding my Stock Portfolio presentation for my Economics class to see if Freshpet was willing to send promotional materials. Customer service was fantastic and Freshpet food is so great! They were so quick to respond to my question, I cannot recommend it enough! Our kitties absolutely love it! The fresh ingredients are such a hit with all of our cats!

I love this products. It has helped my dogs' health so much. We have 5 dogs and most were rescues with numerous issues. After a few months on Freshpet rolls we haven't had to go to the vet once. I highly recommend this dog food!

Dog loves! Had a picky eater who never turned it away and a very old dog that had teeth issues. Worked for both. A bit expensive but worth the cost when you can see exactly what they are eating instead of reading a label.

Please acknowledge ALL points in someone's note to you. I could not recall, but luckily saved a copy. "My vet is trying to help me determine what my dog can eat, and suggested getting a cooked dog food with a novel, single-source protein...AND that the food SHOULD includes grains." Unfortunately, out of all of your dog-centric brands, I only see the bison as a protein/cooked dog food fitting the above criteria EXCEPT for the beef!! What can you recommend that I do? Also, please make it easier for pet parents with such difficulties to be able to avoid having to look at ingredients of a ton of your products by naming at least 1 of them more accurately: The Chunky Beef also has Chicken and should indicate both on the label. I don't usually give reviews but I felt compelled to on this product "Freshpet". I have tried for over a year, trying to find a dog food that my Cocker Spaniel would eat. Forget any dry food. You name it, I tried it. Since finding Freshpet, my dog finally is getting the nutrition he needs, and I add, simply. He also shows more fitness and his eye tears have become way less. All I can say is finally....Thank you Freshpet with coming up with a novel idea.

This is a great food. For some magic reason it really helps with my dog's reflux problems. It is always consistent and I have never worried about quality. I use the rolls cut up as a treat for George and without this food I don't know where we would be. I notice a real difference in his comfort if he does not get this food through the day. One of our dogs is aging and losing her teeth. She can’t chew kibble anymore and hates mushy pate food. FreshPet has been a lifesaver because she loves it and is able to eat it without a problem. Before FreshPet she she was losing weight from not eating.

I had asked for a few coupons to help with cost of dog food and customer service was very accommodating. In times like these it is nice to have a very nice experience with customer service. Freshpet is all my dog will eat and always has since he was a pup.

I have been buying Fresh Pet for years. I have a 15 yr old mini Schnauzer "Chula". She is blind but in good health. I know the food I feed her "Fresh Pet Rolls" has everything to do with her Good Health. I also had a puppy show up 1 yr ago "Pepper". I also feed her the same food Fresh Pet. Well Pepper had puppies and I kept 1. He "Jumbo" is very healthy and loves his Fresh Pet as well. Thank You All.

Great food. I was making my own and tried yours for vacation. I now use yours almost exclusively. My older pups thrive. Their blood work is excellent. They both have massive skin allergies, your food helps. I love the convenience.

Our new puppy just loves this food. It's like he eating a meal made straight out of our kitchen. We tried to give him some dry kibble that made him sick and we switched back to Freshpet. My son did some research and we found that freshpet is the best for our new puppy.

Bailey wouldn't eat after her brother passed away 2 years ago. She would eat maybe 2-3 times a week. After a rough bout of pancreatitis 4 years ago I was told that she had to always have to eat a food with a fat content under 10%. With food brands always changing and canceling a specific food I was about to give up on her. Her bloodwork was getting worse and I was told that she would need to see specialists. I found Freshpet dog food in the grocery store one day and decided to give it a try. At first she turned her nose up to and and refused to eat. I then began mixing it with pumpkin and sweet potatoes. We went through this for a few weeks and one day I noticed that she was becoming more active and eating without any issues.

I am requesting coupons for Freshpet Dog food. 1.7 lbs. We began using Freshpet for our Yorkie that has stomach issues and bouts of diarrhea. Within a couple days he was back to his norm. Precious loves the food so much that we have to control the bowl, so he doesn't eat it all in one gulp. Many thanks.

I am so happy to have found Freshpet! My 13 year old muttley Polly was SO picky she wouldn't eat anything! I had tried everything! She would sniff and walk away. I was feeding her Organic Purina or Kibbles and Bits and she would sort of eat it. I noticed her coat getting dull, she was getting very lethargic, she was itching a lot and chewing at her fur. I saw a commercial for FreshPet and thought I would try it. It has been 4 weeks now and my Polly dog's coat is soft, she isn't itching or chewing, she is very playful and her sleep habits are back to normal! It is as if she is 10 years younger and boy oh boy does Polly dog LOVE LOVE LOVE Fresh Pet!! She gets so excited about her food now! I enquired about the product, asking if they did samples, got a speedy polite response back. Very impressed. They sent me very useful vouchers. Can't wait to start my dog on this food. I must admit I am finding it difficult to find stores that stock it where I live. Hopefully I will track it down very soon as my dog is so fussy about food.

My dog Murphy, has had stomach issues since we got him in 2009 as a rescue. The vet always recommended medication and special food. I also cooked for him hoping this would help. It wasn't until I tried FreshPet that he became healthy! I saw a commercial and thought it couldn't hurt. I immediately saw the results. He is healthy and more energetic and has solid stools. So grateful!

My dog is very picky with her food. She never liked hard food like kibble so when I found Freshpet it was the best feeling ever knowing that she loved it! She does happy rubs all over the floor and front of the couch after she’s done eating! And the fact that there are different flavors that I can switch it up for when she gets bored makes me and her so happy! Best pet food ever!

We switched our 6 yr old Maltese to Freshpet from Royal Canine about 10 months ago. She has been doing great on it until this week when she has thrown up 4 times within a half-hour of eating. She doesn't have any other symptoms and is not acting ill at all. Both the bags that the food came from had a sell-by date of 1/20/21 and both were purchased at Walmart on the same day. They have been properly refrigerated. After she threw up the second time we threw the first bag away just to be safe, and opened another bag, but the same thing happened. Is it possible that this is just a bad batch? Has anyone else had this same problem?

Having a dog that was recently diagnosed with diabetes we are struggling on food issues. I reached out to Fresh Pet and they are sending me some coupons to try their food for my sweet baby. I really want to see the joy in him while he eats. I am hoping this is the answer. I am so impressed with this company’s great information they sent me about their food. Can’t wait to try it.

My dog was 5 years old when he past away last month. Months prior I took him to the vet for his annual wellness exam since his birthday was in July. Blood work was drawn and results came back as a healthy dog. NO health issues found. I’ve feed my dog fresh pet since a puppy. I’ve feed him the Turkey/Chicken recipe that came in a loaf. On a Sunday morning he ate breakfast, not knowing that would have been his last meal. Sunday night I noticed he was walking with a hump and refused his fresh pet dinner. He was still drinking water and walking (that was a good sign to me).

We have 7 small Pomeranians, that are absolutely in love with the dog food and pet treats, that are made. The food is always fresh, and the Dogs can’t wait for their feeding. Thank you for a great product, and excellent customer service.

I have a yorkie puppy who became such a fussy eater. I tried everything then I found Freshpet puppy roll so tried it, she loved it but after a few days she was sick. As I was out in the car with her I put this down to car sickness, she refused the puppy roll after so I left it a few weeks and tried it again. Once again she ate it straight away but after 3 hours began vomiting. I monitored her for a few hours and she seemed ok but during the night she began vomiting again. I know she has not had anything else except Freshpet so it is too much of a coincidence a second time she is sick from it.

I get up every morning and both of my cats are waiting by the fridge for breakfast lo. They love your food so much. My 5 month old bites my slippers if I don't pay attention to him as soon as I get up.

My dog loves your products. When trying to find products that she likes was really hard, I found yours to be the best. Sophie loves the flavors, and the texture of the Freshpet better than dry dog food. She will eat it plain or mix with dry, but will not eat the dry without it mixed in.

My fur babies love your food. I think we need more variety in the stew and bags. You should sometime have sales also. It is rather expensive for me because I have two fur babies. My Bernese Mountain Dog Kaiden is 11 yrs old and since we been feeding him Freshpet he acts like a a young dog again! He wants to play and knows when he is getting his Freshpet. He also loves the stew!!

I have a 4 year old Old English Sheepdog that has been on Blue since I got him, but I always worried about bloat in large dogs, my daughter also has one, but hers was very finicky about eating; so when she suggested I try the Freshpet, I did (even with the cost) and I've been very pleased. I don't have the worry and my dog loves it.

My rescued pup was having gut and skin issues. I tried different crunchy food and finally found a good one that was grain free, corn free and the first 5 ingredients were all good stuff, his bathroom habits got a little better but not totally and still had itching. SO, I did a little more research and found my (CANNED) food could be the real issue. I switched the canned stuff out for Vital Fresh pet I found at Petsmart and it has made a world of difference. No more talking gut, stools are regular and his skin is even better. No more dandruff. He loves the new (wet) choice of food and sits in his spots just waiting and staring at me while I prepare it. The big loaf gets us about 2 weeks as a topper (he is a 65 lb dog) and I think spend less in a month than I did buying the big cans wet food.

I appreciate the very fast response when I emailed FreshPet for coupons. I have tried all the home delivery fresh dog foods - Pet Plate, Nom Nom, Farmer's Dog, and Ollie. I still preferred FreshPet and so do my dogs. Some of the other brands gave my GSD bad diarrhea - but she had a happy tummy with FreshPet. :)

Mom’s dog loves Freshpet and previously was a very picky eater, Bouncing from food to food and never finishing, but since starting freshpet he Eats his full meal; he has trimmed down, become more active and his coat is gorgeous!

My senior pet had been having trouble eating kibble as he has very few teeth, so I tried the Small Dog Chicken and Dog Joy Chicken treats. He loves them and they are both soft enough for him to eat comfortably. Also, not sure if it's related but it seems the grain-free food has helped with his skin and coat.

Y’all, I can’t rave enough about Freshpet Vital Fresh Cut dog food! I have been feeding it to my 3 dogs for the last month and half and they love it! Rudy and the 16yr old girl, Samantha love the beef and lamb mix and Lucky loves the chicken mix. The biggest difference is the turn around it has made with Samantha. She has gone from a lethargic old dog to a vibrant, active, engaging senior dog. She is completely different than the dog who came to my house 2 months ago. This morning on our morning outing, she was running and jumping after the other dogs like she was a pup. There is light in her eyes again.

This is the only food my 2 dogs will eat. I have been feeding both Max and Anabelle this for over 3 years. This is the only brand they will eat. Both prefer the beef mixture over the chicken the most. For the price, you get what you pay for.

FreshPet has truly made a difference in our senior dog. Xerxes is 12 years old and though he doesn’t always look or act his age, we began to notice he was slowing down with age and not eating his food regularly. We decided to try FreshPet, which we’d seen in the grocery aisle at the store, thinking a soft food would encourage him to eat. Xerxes took to it immediately, and ate up every bite of his meal. Within a couple of days, we noticed he was getting more of his spunk back and always wanting to eat his meals each day. We truly credit FreshPet for giving our sweet boy the energy he needs & deserves in his golden years. I would recommend this food to anyone!

I purchased Freshpet Chicken Recipe on a whim as a extra treat for my dogs. I mixed it with there regular dog food (2) 1/3 cups freshpet and 2 cups dog food. My female a 3 yrs old and male a 5 yrs old both healthy and active loved the food but several hours later my male was acting funny on the bed. He was very restless getting up laying down several times. I got up to take him outside and before I got to the door he had diarrhea. He had another accident a couple hours later this time not waking me up and there was a good amount of blood at the end.

My two fur babies absolutely love Fresh Pet! When they aren't interested in their dry food I grab a roll of their favorite beef roll and the fresh pet small dog for the little one! It completely revamps their meals and they love it!

My 3 years old golden was stricken with lymes. She was running a fever, not eating and lethargic. We got the fever under control but she still would not eat. After three weeks of nibbles here and there I bought Fresh Pet. From the first slab I put In her bowl she ate. Then more until our Saige was back to her old self and full of energy. She loves it and looks even healthier than before she got sick.

I have a 10 year old Siberian Husky and he absolutely loves the multi protein flavor. He is super picky with food but he ate this up. I just cut up the whole thing, store it in a ziplock in the fridge so it’s ready when I need it.

I would highly recommend Freshpet moist dog food for small-large dogs. My lil dog had teeth extracts and he turned his nose at every dry and wet pet food except Freshpet. My Vet highly recommended it and I have seen visible changes for the better in my little guy!!

My 10 mo. old English bulldog loved this brand as everything else we initially gave her led to contact dermatitis on her face and other skin allergies. Just last Monday we gave her a fresh bag and within 24 hours the diarrhea came. Then 72 hours after that the blood and mucus came. Believing that the second bag we bought at the same time was good, we gave some to our Frenchie as an emergency treat for training. Within 24 hours, his diarrhea came. 72 hours after that came the mucus and blood. I have emailed Freshpet twice and while the first email was very compassionate and detailed their safety protocols, the second response about the second bag was a brush off. The vet just today told me she’s heard of bacterial outbreaks with Freshpet recently so please do your research before purchasing any brand!

Freshpet is a delicious food that has breathed new vitality into my old Chorkie girl. She looks forward to eating each day. It’s easy to eat, easy to digest, and nutritious. I highly recommend Freshpet to anyone! They are also a gracious company with excellent customer service.

I usually make my dogs food for his evening meal, but we are in a small apartment while moving so I decided to buy him Freshpet. After three days, he could barely put his right leg on the ground. He also had difficulty walking and getting up and down from a lying position. We couldn't think of any way he had hurt himself. The only thing my husband could think of was that we changed the food. I started looking on the internet and found that Freshpet uses carrageenan as a thickening agent. This additive has been known to cause inflammation and have an effect on arthritis. I immediately threw the food away and within a few days he was back to normal again.

Two Chuys, 2 and 9+. Both Chuy have issues with this food. The 9 year old suffers stomach problems and will only manage a poop every few days on the Freshpet. The 2 year old pup has Extreme VOMITING and recently battled meningitis, cause 'unknown'. I can't 'definitely' link the meningitis to the FreshPet, but I can link the 2 days of VOMITING and lethargy of this extremely hyper pup to eating FreshPet. I'm trying desperately to get my mother to stop buying this food for her dogs, but at 70, she doesn't always remember. I have copied the reviews from this site, as well as others, and will continue to send these to her every day until she STOPS!!!

I bought FreshPet at Safeway. It has made such a change in my older Dogs as well as our new pup. Will recommend highly to friends. The small dog formula is the best. Both the roll and the bag. Thank you.

I have an old dog and she is a very picky eater and I worried about her getting proper nutrition. I started buying Freshpet and she loves the food and I can tell she is getting adequate nutrition. I would recommend this food since it is good for them and it is convenient.

My dog is 13 and has always been a picky eater. I had to make chicken and beef for him every week. I saw the commercial and thought why not try it. Well to my surprise he loves it! Eats it all and licks the plate! He also loves the turkey bacon. He acts like a pup every time he eats because he knows he gets a 1/3 piece of the bacon.

Our Lucy is a 13 year old Jack Russell/Rat Terrier Mix. About 6 months ago her appetite began to fail. She began to have stomach pains, gas, and random diarrhea. Her activity level went down drastically! We had to trick her into eating with a little table food to get her to eat any kind of dog food we introduced. We tried a a couple of really good brands suggested by our vet. Her activity level went down drastically! She had a cancer removed two years ago and we just concluded she was in a decline ready to go over the rainbow bridge. Enter Daisy her dog cousin!

I have been feeding Freshpet to both my approx 14-16-year-old chihuahua mix and my 1.5 year old chihuahua mix for about the last 3 to 4 months. I have tried different products, i.e. protein formula however this formula seemed to be their favorite. Over the last week which has been the same time frame in which they have been eating a bag with expiration date Nov 2020 both dogs have been vomiting. The older dog has also had a small amount of blood in his feces. Both have been gasping for air though this has happened inconsistently.

This Freshpet, option was a great choice as use of 3-4 tablespoons as an encouragement to eat, for my dog. It WAS great for about 8 months, then the diarrhea and vomiting started. I stopped all food for 2 days - he was better than introduced the Fresh pet - small bites of 2 tablespoons back in and the diarrhea started again. Off the food and diarrhea stopped, so I am confident in saying my dog is no longer able to tolerate this food, as others have posted with similar symptoms. I am not saying anything about the quality of this product, just that my dog is no longer able to eat it. I called the 1-866 number to report and was told no recalls on any food. Heads up if you are thinking of using this product.

My dog had been on this food for several months. Late May. He eats chicken Freshpet kibble bags and rolls. Last week he’s up at night panting and squealing in pain. His stomach is the size of a football. Off to the animal hospital all the way uptown at 2:30am in New York during a curfew that started at 8pm. What a disaster. $1000 later my dog has been given fluids and injections. When the sun was shining again I finally got home. My dog slept. The next day he was throwing up. Then, the next evening his stomach is again the size of a football. Off to the animal hospital for a second night, this time at 2am in New York during a curfew. I Still have no idea it’s the batch of Freshpet food that’s poisonous.

I adopted my chihuahua, Rosie, about a year and a half ago. I have had the hardest time finding a food for her. We started with canned, then frozen raw, then freeze-dried raw. Each time I changed her food, she would fast for three days. When traveling, she would refuse to eat her normal food. Once we got home, it would be another three day fast before she would eat dog food. I started her on raw because I want her to have the best, freshest food out there. I thought this was my best choice (even though she didn't really like it).

About 9 or 10 months ago I started using Freshpet. One of mine is almost 8 and just couldn't jump up and down to get on sofa or bed. My Pom was very picking. My small one was 16 and passed in Dec 2019. Freshpet changed their lives. No more being overweight and allergies are improving. They are different babies. I buy about 8 or 9 tubes a month and worth every dollar. Never had any problems with mold with Freshpet and I buy at Walmart. At Pet Smart they charge 12.96 a tube. I purchased the Freshpet chicken in a bag for my 11 year old Yorkie. She ate it the very first day but by day 2 she would not touch it. She started panting and showing signs of distress. She also will not eat anything or sleep. I’ve now been up the entire night because she had vomited 3 times.

Our 15 year old golden retriever/husky mix has always been a super picky eater. A few months ago she stopped eating completely. On a whim, I bought a FreshPet dog food log. SHE ATE IT! She demands her one pound twice a day and has gained back all her weight! We couldn't be happier! Thank you so much!

Not for my dog. It smelled delicious and looked fresh and my Maltese enjoyed it (1 bag). But after reading so many bad reviews about dogs vomiting or going to the ER and how the product isn’t always refrigerated when shipped, I couldnt risk giving it to her anymore.

I recently tried your pet food for my older dog whom I noticed was having trouble eating her normal food. I picked up a small bag first thats for small dogs since my baby GeGe is a chihuahua. I gave her about a half a cup to try and she devoured it in minute and was the happiest dog. I would definitely suggest this for any dog at any age because it has a pleasant smell and looks like it was just prepared which I loved. Thanks for such a wonderful product!!!!

I was able to call and speak with the Freshpet team who were very empathetic and helpful. I still don't feel 100% comfortable getting my dog back onto the food until he's feeling better with a bland diet, but they talked to me about their quality standards and I definitely feel confident that they do everything they can to keep our pets safe. They even mentioned that they're going to have a member of their veterinary team call me to talk through some things I can do to help ease his stomach in the meantime. I'm going to give his stomach some time and try the food again some time in the near future.

We've fed Freshpet to our Chihuahua for months now and there was never a problem. Last week she vomited for days after eating it. We bought it at the PetCo in Morgan Hill CA. The vet checked her out and could find nothing wrong. She was on a bland diet for a few days and now she's back on freshpet. She vomited again yesterday. We didn't hear anything about a recall. We threw the food out because there might be something wrong with it.

I was excited to feed my dog something fresh after multiple failed attempts to make my own homemade dog food and came across Fresh Pet at my local pet store. I took 2 big sausages of their Vital Turkey flavor home but my dog stopped eating it after a couple of meals. I found the ingredients are very processed for a "fresh" food, not much better than canned dog food really. Now I'm back to making my own pet food using kits and supplements. We live in Northern Alberta where good quality food is especially important for our dog, Quinn, to be able to handle the cold weather. For year, we have been feeding our 2 huskies aged 12 (Bear) and 6 (Kaya) the Costco Kirkland Salmon brand as Kaya had allergies to many other brands with lots of itching and scratching. In December 2019, Bear was diagnosed with diabetes and then Feb 27, 2020 he had a seizure. We decided to change their food to Fresh Pet and these are our incredible findings…

I’ve noticed since she’s on Freshpet, beef she scans the floor for morsels. Her poo IS VERY perky, she strains to get it out. She has plenty of water. Carrageenan isn’t one of my favorite fillers that I discovered, after she got hooked on it. So I’ll be shopping for another moist dog food, without CARRAGEENAN in it.

Our 9 year old collie “Skip” has always been a picky eater, but about a month ago he stopped eating. Took him to the veterinarian and she ran all sorts of tests and determined he had a sludgy gallbladder. We tried everything to get him to eat and what he did eat he couldn’t keep down. Well he’s been on Freshpet for over a week now and not only does he eat better than ever before, he’s keeping it down and gaining weight back. What a great product. It may have given him a second chance.

I have a five-year-old West Highland Terrier who has a sensitive stomach and has always had trouble putting on weight. I have tried somewhere between six and eight brands of dog food in addition to calorie supplements and extra treats in order to get him to gain weight. Some of these foods were extremely expensive. I’ve tried everything from prescription food to several brands in the pet store. Recently we switched him to FreshPet Vital Grain Free. Prior to the switch he would walk past his food bowl ignoring it until the point of absolute hunger after the first or second week on a new food.

Since switching to Fresh Pet, my picky rescue animals love mealtime and have all gained energy. Their digestive systems seem to be more stable too. Our fur baby is considered a senior (8 years young) pitbull. The last several years she's had issues with arthritis is her joints, causing her to favor one of her limbs, sometimes she couldn't use it at all. We took her to the vet, gave her the recommended glucosamine treat supplements, grain free salmon food, etc. We were told that she'd likely have to remain on the anti-inflammatory meds prescribed. Before starting Freshpet foods, my senior standard poodle was getting finicky and also had developed aspiration pneumonia (AP). She has a tumor in her neck and a tracheal issue which we think was causing problems when I fed her kibble and other dry or dehydrated types of food. She got AP 3 times in 6 months. :( AP can take the life of a dog, but she rallied back every time. Every time she lost more weight however, and muscle mass and was becoming quiet.

We have a Belgian Tervuren Shepherd. They are notorious for being picky eaters. The phrase, "They'll eat when they're hungry.", does NOT apply. He's a little over two years old and this has been a problem since we got him at four months old. We have tried EVERYTHING. Mixing other foods into dry food, wet food with dry food, just wet food, food with gravy, etc. You get the idea. After some personal issues where he was taken, I finally got him back. He was 20 lbs underweight which is quite a bit for a dog that averages 55 lbs. I was desperate to get him to eat. I was mixing scrambled eggs, canned chicken, mac & cheese, gravy, boiled eggs, cheese, and dog food in various combinations. I try to get him to eat twice a day. For three weeks I've been doing this and it's been hit or miss with eating.

I started to feed my 11 yo Maltese this food a couple of months ago, thinking it would be a healthy alternative to others. The smell was atrocious to me, but the dog seemed to like it, and I thought it was just my usual aversion to dog food smell. Last week, I took her in for a dental cleaning and they drew her labs just to make sure all was ok to have anesthesia. The vet called me shortly after drop off with news that her liver enzymes were off-the-charts bad. They recommended an ultrasound. Their ultrasound, and also one that I got from a second opinion, showed a bad/sludgy gall bladder.

My Toy Poodle is very picky and won't eat much food. I saw this food at Sam's Club and decided to try it. To my surprise, my dog loved it! I was online looking at reviews and became a little worried about one of the ingredients in the food. It is carrageenan. From what I read, it doesn't look like it is a good thing to put in food and is indigestible. The article I read makes me worry that I shouldn't be giving it to my dog even though my dog loves the food. I wish they would take this one ingredient out of their pet food and I would feel much better about giving it to her.

Toby loves this dog food, we tried many kinds of dog food. They all gave him gas,, this is the only dog food that doesn't. He goes crazy when it's dinner time and he gets his dog food. Will be buying him this dog food for good,, Toby says two paws up.

My sweet Trixie (a black Lab) had stopped eating her food. I tried different food and different textures...no dice, she was just not having it. I saw FreshPet in my local WM and thought I'd try it. I am thrilled for my fur baby. Since eating Freshpet, there has been a huge overall improvement in her. Her coat is thicker and she is more active. She seeks out my grandkids to cuddle and play. I have two miniature schnauzers who happen to be picky eaters. I have tried several brands of dog food and after the recall on grain free I was looking for something else. From worms to allergies and an infection he has had to be on every medicine I can think of for dogs. This made it very hard to feed Freddie. Moved my Boxer/Pit Mix and my Boston Terrier over to Freshpet Kitchen Home Cooked Chicken Recipe for Dogs. Followed per feeding instructions, they both lost weight and muscle for two active athletic dogs that did not required weight reduction. I went on to incorporate Honest Kitchen in with the diet along with MCI oil. This worked for my Boston Terrier but not for my Boxer/Pit Mix, he looks emaciated and all his blood work checks out fine. I did try the Grain Free Tender Chicken, however I had to throw it out. The three bags I bought once open released water from the food and became dog food floating in water. Very strange. I have also tried the Tender Rolls to more weight loss. It appears that the formal may not be the right answer for strong musclier athletic breeds. My dogs have never become sick off of the food however I do believe it is not for all dogs.

There isn’t anything better than knowing your pets are getting the right nutrition in the meals they love to eat. What I love about Freshpet is that it is so convenient and stores in the fridge well. My pup is a 16 month old CHI-PIN (Chihuahua and Mini pin). I got her at three weeks and bottle fed her. She is spoiled and a very picky eater. So I found Freshpet and decided to try it. She loved it. And I had no problem getting her to eat. However, once on the food, I noticed she started having episodes of shaking, ticks, tremors, stiffness, and whining. I took her to the vet with videos of the episodes. She had 6 in a week. It was confirmed to be some sort of rare seizures that usually health problems wouldn’t cause: Since then, I threw the last roll away and changed foods. She hasn’t had a seizing episode since. After reading other reviews and comparing dates, maybe there were a few bad batches made. I’m not sure. But it isn’t worth my baby's health!

I am Prince's human and when he became sick I worried. He was diagnosed with pancreatic illness and ibs. I tried everything Freshpet saved my fur baby's life. Not one sick day in 4 months!! At age 65, having had dogs all my life, I decided to adopt a kitten from a "clear the shelters" weekend. I adopted Rocky, a small snowshoe kitten. He's fun, cute and full of energy. I quickly fell in love and now have a new fur baby. The only frustration I had was getting Rocky to eat moisture rich canned food. I have no idea how many brands and varieties of cat food I tried, but was getting discouraged by the amount of cat food I was throwing away because Rocky refused to eat it.

We left our dog with an accredited Rover sitter for 6 days. Our Wheaten terrier began vomiting violently beginning the night we picked her up. When questioned, we were told that our dog was not fed her own food as we had asked but was fed the same Freshpet food as her dog eats. We took her to the vet on the morning of her 2nd day of vomiting bile and mucous, completely dehydrated. She had to be put on an IV. Our dog has never been this sick in all of her 12 years and we just pray she does not have any permanent damage....or die from this. Looks like a lot of dogs are getting very sick from this food from the review.

I brought a beautiful 5 month old Labradoodle into our family about 11 months ago. For the first 7 months we went through a bunch of different dog foods from very expensive to completely inexpensive to try to help with his digestion as he was always have loose sometimes runny poops that smelled horribly bad. One day I was looking in the grocery aisle for something new to try yet again and decided to take a chance on Freshpet. I mean nothing else up until now was working and I was starting to get extremely concern that my sweet Bentley was not getting proper nutrition, and such unhealthy loose and runny stools. I grabbed a small roll of the beef. He loved it and from that very first poop after his first serving of Freshpet, he had a normal firm poop.

I have been using the Fresh Pet Nature's Fresh Chicken and Ocean Whitefish recipe for over a year and a half now to feed my two cats. I haven't had a problem until recently. My male cat, who is slightly larger than my female cat, is throwing up on schedule twice a day at 10am and 10pm and has been for three weeks. I am concerned about his teeth at this point. He has been to vet and had blood work done twice in the past two weeks and there are no abnormalities in his organ function. This is directly before I feed them again at 11am and pm when I return home in the morning and evening. The only thing in his vomit is watery fluid and carrots. Have you changed who you source your carrots from? He doesn't appear to be digesting them the way he had. No problem before.

We currently purchase FreshPet Select Roasted Meals Tender Chicken with Vegetables. Our two dogs love it. They are full of energy even in their "middle age" and are in good health. I have purchased this product twice before, to alternate with dry kibble, and my two dogs loved it. I recently purchased it for a third time and our experience was very different. On the first serving both dogs gobbled it up. Within two hours my chihuahua mix vomited it all up on the sofa but I just thought he was stressed out by the kids. My terrier mix also ended up vomiting up the Freshpet when she went outside to potty a little bit later. They both ate dry kibble for dinner and were fine (no vomiting). The next day my terrier mix wouldn’t even touch the Freshpet and my chihuahua only ate half of his serving. I didn’t witness my chihuahua vomit this time but he did have very mucousy, loose stools.

I first purchased Freshpet about three months ago, while looking for a fresh healthier alternative to dry dog food. After doing my research, I found Freshpet at the local supermarket. I was thrilled to see that my dog loved It. She looked forward to every plate of it and could not get enough. I had found a healthy convenient dog food that she loved. I told all my friends about it so that they would purchase it and we would not lose it at the local grocery store.

I started feeding my dog this food and after I bought her second roll she became so sick. Her little body shakes, she is lethargic, wont eat and is so stiff like she is in pain. I wasnt sure if it was the food so I tried again a few days later and the same thing happened. After reading reviews it sounds like this is happening to more dogs than just mine.

Eating this food for several months and my daughter's dog who's been eating this food for about two months full-time have both become very sick in the last few days. They loved the food originally - all of the refrigerated varieties. My dog began not to eat it in the last two weeks. I couldn't understand why but kept putting it down for her. I threw the bag out that she was eating from thinking it might have been spoiled at the store and. Perhaps that is why she didn't want it. The second bag I had she started eating but soon had the same reaction to it. That's when she got sick. I threw out the bag and haven't repurchased. My daughter's dog had similar issue with more throwing up and diarrhea. Will not be buying again.

I recently adopted a 3 year old dog from a shelter. Her medical history from the shelter and the veterinarian were all good. Since my mother was feeding her dog Freshpet I decided to try it also. For the first week Abby was fine. Then she started vomiting to the point of dehydration. My veterinarian treated her and put her on a prescription diet. She improved greatly. I originally attributed this to something that she must’ve ate that she shouldn’t have. So I started feeding her Freshpet again. Now, 3 days later, I am up all night with her vomiting again. No more Freshpet for her!

My dog has been an extremely picky eater since she was a puppy. We were so happy when we found Fresh pet. Something she would eat. This last loaf we purchased she has become violently ill. She has had extreme diarrhea enough to cause us enough concern to take her to the vet in the middle of the night. I do not know if this was just a bad batch or something changed in the manufacturing process but there is clearly a trend over the past few weeks where dogs are eating the same food and becoming sick with the same symptoms. I sincerely hope that the company will look in to this matter and correct it as our pets are getting sick.

My dogs have been eating this food for a couple of years. Both have recently became ill and when blood test were done one was a stage 2 kidney disease and the other was stage 3. The stage 3 one is only 5 years old and is now been hospitalized due to this. They have not come in contact with anything else that would have caused kidney problems. Beware of this food.

I gave 3 stars as my cat LOVES Freshpet and it was my go-to food for her. For 2 days she has been either turning her nose up not wanting to eat or eating and immediately throwing up after but she was still hungry. I did have some canned food left from a short term rescue cat this summer and I gave her 1/2 can no problem. So that evening for dinner I tried a new roll of Freshpet and she immediately threw it up, started meowing for food. I finished giving her the alternate food which she ate (she doesn’t love it though) and did not get sick. Something is not right with the Freshpet rolls I recently bought. She is not happy about her food change and I am leery to give her Freshpet until I know what the issue is.

We have two dogs, a yorkie and a bully mix. We have gotten this food a couple of times and the dogs loved it. I noticed this last time we got the food the smell of it was not the same but didn't think anything of it until BOTH dogs vomited it back up a few minutes later. This makes me a little leary to buy again.

Pet Fresh is the BEST cat food ever! I wish I had switched to this along time ago... With 3 cats I had at least one surprise hair ball a day but since using your product That is no longer an issue... My cats LOVE this food! I call it “kitty crack”.

My dog has been eating this food since last January and seemed to be fine on it up until a month ago. She has been up through the nights with vomiting and diarrhea. She has never had these issues before. We are switching foods. After reading other reviews I see similar things going on within the last month and this makes me nervous.

My 14 yr old mini schnauzer has had blood and mucus in her stool on and off since I switched back. But starting today, my Shia-poo is vomiting, and after struggling since morning, she finally used the bathroom (my floor) and it is completely blood, mucus, and white stuff (assuming it's infection). She hasn't eaten all day.

My mother has a 10-year-old Maltese who has been eating Freshpet “chicken in a tube” for quite some time. Starting around Sept./October every time he ate he would vomit and have diarrhea. We have taken him to the vet many times & had many blood test done. He has been on different medications and injections for both the nausea, diarrhea and loss of appetite that all led to the diagnosis of pancreatitis.

I have a small Maltese dog. He’s 1 1/2...he is a very picky eater. My vet suggested Freshpet so I tried it. The first bag was great. He loved it! Then the second bag went bad quickly. Now I’m on my third bag and he’s only had it for 2 days and has extreme diarrhea and bloody stools. I’m very upset that I gave him something that hurt him. He has been lethargic and not his usual puppy self. I’ve been cleaning him all day. I feel horrible!! Please figure this out!

I have been feeding my cat the chicken and beef tube food for over 3 years and all was good until recently. For the past month she has been throwing up almost every other day and I feel it is the food. I noticed a difference in the texture of the food. The food seems more dry and crumbly as opposed to the moist solid texture. She also leaves some of it on her plate, something she had never done in the past. I am going to put her on something else and see if the vomiting clears up. If it does, then I know it is the food. Have you changed the ingredients???

Freshpet changed my dog's life and in turn, changed mine too! My dog, Ishie who is turning 3 years old soon was always weak, tired and underweight. She later was diagnosed with a B12 deficiency and no dry dog food I could find had enough vitamins to boost her levels, since the nutrition is lost in the baking process. And she refused to eat canned food. Then I found Freshpet and me and my pup couldn't be happier. Since she's started eating this food, she gained 3lbs and is running, playing and acting like a puppy again...She is a completely different dog thanks to Freshpet!

I used Fresh pet for several months for my three dogs- everything has been fine until the last couple of loaves i bought- my dogs vomit it back up. I am wondering if somewhere along the process of the food leaving the place where it is made and getting to the store’s refrigerator if something is going wrong and the food is spoiling? What controls do you have with the vendors who sell it to make sure it doesn’t sit somewhere before being put in the cooler?

10/25/2019 - I have four dachshunds. I have fed them Freshpet vital for almost 10 years. In the last three months they have all become sick with gastroenteritis twice. This second bout sent two of my dogs to the emergency vet due to vomiting blood, blood in their stool, and severe dehydration. $3,000 later they are still recovering and thank God did not die from it. I will no longer be buying Freshpet. The food is the only thing all of my dogs have in common and the vet agrees it has to be what made them all sick. Clearly there is a contamination issue, although the response from Freshpet is that their facility has all these quality checks and no one else has reported issues. Sorry, but that’s a stick your head in the sand response and is very disappointing, especially when the internet is full of recent complaints about having the same issues. I used to recommend Freshpet. Now I strongly recommend to stay away from it.

My one cat likes it alright and has had no reactions to it. HOWEVER my 3 year old has had issues every time I’ve purchased it. At first I thought maybe I got them a bad batch and temporarily put them back on dry food before trying it again, and I have done so 3 times. I love the idea behind this brand with fresh, healthy food for our pets, but I’m not so sure how great, or possibly up to health codes this company may be. If the ingredients going into my cats food was as pure as the labels are saying then she shouldn’t be vomiting every time I feed her this brand.

My experience with this company is nothing short of fantastic. I had an experience that I sent to this company. In short I had a few strays that looked so pitiful, I have a smaller breed dog that has used the products for a few weeks and it made such an overwhelming difference that even tho I was purchasing smaller bags would share to these poor dogs that looked just awful. Within a couple days I could see the personalities of the dogs just start to gleam. This company sent me coupons so I purchased larger bags and now my new family of babies. Dogs now residing full time on my back deck have just transformed...eyes, coat and mood. This food is simply GOD sent. Please try it once. You will never buy another pet food again. Customer service fantastic, Quality of products AMAZING.

Just as many others described this food had me rushing my dog to the vet after only 2 days! I bought a 4.5lb bag of the FreshPet Home Cooked Chicken Recipe. Fed it to my 7 year old lab on sat and sun (didn’t feed FreshPet after Sunday) Sunday morning she vomited bile. Monday she had diarrhea and vomiting. Tuesday more diarrhea. This morning she had severe bloody diarrhea and we rushed her to the vet who confirmed the food made my dog extremely ill.

I appreciate you guys sending me a couple coupons for Freshpet for dogs. My dogs seem very happy, healthy and very excited when it's feeding time. I've noticed an improvement in their fur it appears a little more shiny. Thank you for making such a great product for my fur babies.

We tried everything for our new puppy!! He is the runt and at 3 months was still under a pound. (He’s a Pomeranian) Freshpet is seriously the only food we have gotten him to eat, and for him eating literally is life or death. He gobbles it down, has finally put on weight, and actually barks requesting his food. I went from force feeding him several times a day to him begging to eat. So excited this has been an option!

We rescued Max - our Coonhound - in Jan 2018. He was being shipped from KY and had spent a week in the hospital very malnourished & very thin. They were able to bring him back to a decent weight & we were lucky enough to adopt him soon thereafter but he had digestion issues. We tried i/d Hills Prescription Diet because the vet recommended it, but Max still had frequent vomiting and diarrhea. My mom told me about Freshpet and how it had helped her aging Schnauzer. I decided to give it a try and we have never gone back to anything else. Max loves it and hasn't had any stomach issues since we made the switch. I'm grateful to your company for providing such a wonderful product! BTW my mom's dog lived to be 16 years old and she believes it was due to switching to Freshpet.

My sweet Bella was diagnosed with leukemia and along with that she has dental issues. She’s no longer able to eat hard food and she needs something healthy. Freshpet has been a blessing. She loves it and it’s great for her!! I would recommend it to any dog or cat owner.

This is great food especially for older pets who have a harder time chewing and digesting. But all my dogs love it! I'm going to be trying the cat formulas soon also. Thank you for making such a good nutritious food without all the preservatives and artificial flavors.

We started using Freshpet when Our oldest dog was suffering health wise and he needed to lose weight. We have 3 dogs so we started giving it to them all. We use the beef roll and all three dogs love it. They look forward to mealtime and. We have tried several different dogs foods but this is by far their favorite and we are seeing wonderful results healthwise! Our Dachshund mix has lost 6 pounds he has more energy and acts better! He is almost 13 years old now and we are so thankful for Freshpet for caring so much to make quality food for our fur babies that we dont have to worry what we are giving them.

Purchased Freshpet for an older female dog. She would not eat the food and I noticed it was all moldy. I purchased more thinking maybe I left it out and same mold issue. I am angry and disgusted that dog food that has ads that show fat, sick dogs that become lean and healthy when they eat the food. Freshpet manufacture food that will make a dog sick or sicker if the food is all moldy. Not once but three times the food was moldy and I purchased at 3 different locations so it was not the retailer's issue.

I have a 12 yr. old Chihuahua, named Chloe. For the last few years she has become extremely picky about her food. I tried every kind of food, dry, wet, expensive and I finally tried Freshpet for small dogs. The small bites and the roll are the only two she wants to eat. I appreciate the good food that you make for my dog. She is healthy and finally eating. Thank you for a good product.

I have a terrier who was having a lot of trouble with eating. I went to the vet and the vet recommended food and that also made him sick. I then decided to try Freshpet... And his stomach issues cleared up and he has been fine ever since! This is a great product!

Our dog is not food motivated but we had to look for alternative food because of some digestive issues. We tried Freshpet and our dog will sit at the fridge in the mornings waiting until you give it to her. She loves the Dog Joy Treats too. She seems to have so much more energy and she is not experiencing digestive issues any longer. It's more expensive but she thoroughly enjoys it and it seems to be a good fit for us/her. We get a laugh in the mornings when she runs out of her room and sits by the fridge waiting for you to feed her.

Our 14 year old mixed breed dog was not eating. My husband had to spoon feed and force feed him to get any food inside of him. That was very traumatic for Scooter as well as my husband. I purchased a 1.5 pound roll of the chicken/turkey to see if he would eat it. It was almost immediate. He cleaned his bowl and has been doing so for the last month. My 2 yr old Molly is so picky. We're on our 2nd week of Freshpet and she still wants to eat it! Usually it's 1 to 2 days. I actually have her and my 2 yr old Jack Russell, Sadie on a schedule and we've never done that!

After a serious illness due to a medication overdose my dog would not eat. The vet and I had tried every dog food we could think of including prescription foods. I even tried fresh chicken and bacon. I had almost resigned myself to the fact I would have to feed her baby food through a syringe for the rest of her life. But I saw your food in the refrigerator section of the pet food aisle. I decided to give it a try as I had tried everything else. I thought she would just ignore it and turn away but she actually licked it. So I say on the floor and held the chicken stew container and she ate it all. I sat there crying as she ate your food. Thank you again for saving my dog.

Vomiting with this product is because it's good. Let me explain. This food is so good my dog tries to gulp it down fast, he is usually so picky, not with this stuff. I slowed his eating down and never a problem. It's great. Worked with my 10 yo springer who has had diarrhea for 4 months on and off. This food helped him within in a few days. Thanks a lot you guys. Since starting Freshpet my chronically ill kitten has gained weight and has increased energy. His coat is softer and silkier and is on the way to making a recovery. I would highly recommend Freshpet foods to any pet owner whether their pet is healthy or not.

My 6 year old French bulldog was getting very picky about her food- often leaving most of it uneaten. I was using high quality canned food and a small amount of the same quality kibble.
