Upon seeing my internal review that was sent to Chewy.com directly, I was contacted by a lady from their customer service team who went above and beyond to fix the issue and ensure that I was compensated for the frustrations involved.
I am very pleased that a large company cared about 1 customer enough to track them down and fix it after 2 customer service reps messed it up (the 3rd one escalated it to her unbeknownst to me!) She THEN followed up with me (ON A SUNDAY!!) a few days later to make sure that my delivery arrived and that I was satisfied with everything. I can't pronounce her name, but she made a world of difference in my experience and future shopping with the company. Thank you for caring.

Chewy is great until you have a problem. I was on with customer service 3 times this past week about an autoship issue. The first guy never answered my question. The second guy blatantly lied to me about my order being shipped. The third lady kept saying "I'm so sorry" but offered nothing to compensate for the fact that I was running out of food in 1-2 days and wouldn't be able to have it delivered before that since I was lied to beforehand. When I told her I would probably have to cancel all autoship's and find it locally, she still didn't offer anything. She didn't care that I was leaving for good.

Chewy.com goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. They made me a customer for life. When my dog passed they refunded my automatic order and told me to donate the food and sent me flowers for my loss. I recently have had my first ever issue with the dog shampoo I ordered. Opened and leaked about half of the shampoo out. FYI I order by the gallon because I have a house full of five animals, I emailed them. They already have the replacement in the mail by the next day no cost to me and they apologized for something that wasn't their fault. These things sometimes happen. Moral of the story I won't shop anywhere else for my pets' supplies. They have great prices and sales and come right to my door and for a single mom to human and furry babies they are my life line for my pets and they know when a chewy box comes they are being spoiled.

We had to say goodbye to our 7 year old Pudelpointer due to cancer. I had some supplies that I had received from Chewy.com that I no longer needed. When I called them, I spoke to a super friendly person who was very sympathetic for our loss. They not only allowed us to return the products but also paid for the shipping. I called them at 8:30 am and by 4:00pm that same day we received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from them expressing their sympathy. What a class act, I was blown away!!! I highly recommend Chewy!

I had a couple of items that I did not need and Chewy reps were outstanding in handling the credits and returns, and they actually care about your pet! They answer the calls quickly and are very competent. I would not hesitate to recommend them to a fellow pet owner.

I have been ordering cat supplies from Chewy for a few years and despite issues with the warehouse shipping. I always come back to Chewy. When’s the last time you called the company and had a live person answer the call within 2 to 3 rings? They resolve every issue with no complaints, always kind, friendly associates that care about my cats & me. If every company took heed and ran the customer service departments, this way, we would all be much happier online shoppers! It’s honestly the only phone call when it has to do with companies or businesses that I don’t mind reaching out to! Recognize the summit up, they go above and beyond to make sure the customers are satisfied and that’s really important especially these days.

I have been a high dollar spender at this company for several years but that is going to change as of today. I have ordered an expensive medication from the Chewy pharmacy and was needing it ASAP. The medicine was suppose to arrive today by FedEx. Well, it's 7pm and I'm still waiting. I will NEVER depend on them AGAIN to furnish much needed medication for my dying and ailing beloved pets. They have surely lost a valuable customer, but then again, if they cared, they would have made sure that my medicine arrived on time. Sorry people, your loss!!! I hope it isn't my loss of my Lucy because of your bumbling ability to run a good business.

It was our first time placing an order with Chewy. We had a $15 off coupon code from the mail and used it toward our purchase (with free shipping). We bought a 26lb (11.7kg) bag of Blue Buffalo dry dog food one late morning and it arrived the following morning! The product came secured in a large Chewy box stuffed with recyclable paper. We bought this to donate to our local Animal Shelter for the Holidays - they are going to be super happy! Overall, great + quick + efficient service at an affordable cost. Will order from Chewy again going forward.

My daughter lost her dog and when she closed her account, they sent her roses. Her sister also contacted them about the passing and they sent a hand painted picture of little Eva. They were so thoughtful!

I've been buying from Chewy for years. I placed a Christmas order. Chewy emailed me and said to verify. I called Chewy, and verified the email too only to have them cancel my order. They stated I hadn't verified in time, even though I did. I wasn't using any coupons either. I called their Customer Service only to be told my order was locked, and she couldn't unlock it to process it. She said that was done by another dept. I asked to be transferred to that dept. She said she couldn't. They didn't have a phone number. Piss poor service. Very disappointing after years of no problems. I had to reorder everything, but not through Chewy anymore. Christmas is stressful enough without them adding to it!

From delivering the wrong item to delivering my order to the wrong address and not doing anything to resolve the issue, this company has very much lost the service level that they used to have when they first began the online pet food delivery service. I've ordered items and received a completely different item than what I ordered. Worst of all, I've ordered items that have been delivered to a different address, and no one takes responsibility. They claim they have proof of delivery, but the image that the delivery driver took is not from my home. I contacted Fedex delivery, and they are very lackadaisical with investigating or trying to deliver to my address.
This is absolutely garbage service. Nobody cares. The customer service representative that I first spoke with just said wait until the evening, and if I don't receive it by then to call them back. After waiting about 10 hours and not receiving my order (clearly no one is trying to correct the issue), I call back and now I am holding with a new representative that says needs to speak with a supervisor to see what can be done to resolve my issue. Extremely disappointing!

I ordered dog treat because the site said FREE 1-3 Day Shipping for orders over 49$, May bill was $123.30.... I checked tracking and it showed it will be 6 Days to get it. False Advertising end of story.

My 14 year-old dog has developed gastrointestinal problems and after a complete check up, our vet recommended we switch to Royal Canin Low Fat gastrointestinal canned food. We purchased a few cans at the appointment and I immediately searched online for delivery. I found the best price on Chewy.com so ordered 24 cans and also auto shipment so we would have a continual supply.
Despite not needing a prescription to buy this at the pet food store, Chewy demanded one. My vet faxed over approval within 24 hours of my order. I expected the food to arrive in 1-2 days but no food arrived. I called chewy and they claimed to not receive the approval. I had to go back to the vet to get more food and While standing in her office, I witnessed her call chewy to authorize the food by phone. I later called Chewy about an hour later to determine how long the order would take and was told 1-2 days--that it was in the process of getting ready for shipping. FIVE days passed and I still do not have food. I just contacted customer service and they claim now that the vet never authorized the food. Not sure what kind of scam they are running with this but it's crazy to me that I can not get the dog food of my order. Not sure what someone needs to do to get dog food.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They cancel your order without even letting you know they canceled it. I just happen to go check to see if my order was shipped and it was canceled. I called to find out why and was told I used a discount that I wasn’t allowed to use. Then why offer it to me! There are too many other places to buy my pet's needs than with them. They lost my busy. They are the worst company!

I've ordered from chewy several times and they offer 1 to 3 day free shipping, but no matter what I order it never gets shipped until days later and every order always gets to me late by days. My order was supposed to be here by the 11/22 and wasn't event shipped until 11/22. Now I have to wait until 11/25 but probably will not receive it until 11/27. This is just poor customer service. I order from them for convenience. But it's not really convenient when I have to purchase the item at a store locally because they can't deliver on time as promised. They have definitely lost me as a customer. I would give them zero stars but There is no option for that.

I placed my first order with Chewy on November 10, 2023. This order is for an expensive prescription medication for my dog Ella. I had the written prescription which was for several refills and was wanting to send to them via email, however, I was told that they would get in contact with the veterinary clinic for approval. When I checked back on the status it was November 15 and approval was received and the site said no more refills and if needed to refill to send the prescription to them via mail, which I did. I checked back on the status on November 18 (which was a Saturday) of when I would receive the medication and Chewy had cancelled the order for which I did not receive any kind of notification. I did not cancel it. I called them to find out why the order was cancelled and they could not provide a reason.
I had to speak to several people before I got to a supervisor who kept telling me that they cannot fill the prescription and ship it out that day even though they have 24/7 customer service and FedEx picks up on Saturday. Daniel placed the order again and did not charge me for it. I requested that the order be expedited and shipped overnight and that they need to figure out why they cancelled my order and make it right and get the medicine to me as soon as possible as it had been over a week since the order was placed. The prescription was filled on that day and shipped out, however, they did not overnight it and sent it via their standard shipping which is three (3) days which the medicine will get here on Wednesday November 22, 2023 which is not acceptable as they could have sent it overnight.
All the people I have spoken with at Chewy were helpful for the most part and they did get the order filled, but did not follow through with shipping. This has turned into a 12-day process for a medication that they even claim is a priority medicine. I still want an explanation as to why they randomly cancelled my order and why I did not receive notification that the order was cancelled.

This is the go-to. From many years of experience with this company, I can confidently tell you that they deliver. They provide a broad selection of anything, literally, everything you need for your beloved pets. I can't think of any other company that is better than this one. Fast, reliable and they even have their pet Pharmacy which will communicate with your pet vet for assurance of service and needs. Real professionals, competitive prices, excellent customer service, and communication. I can't thank them enough for making things so easy for me and making my cats so happy!

I rarely make posts complimenting companies, but I have to in this case... CHEWY.COM. We used them for prescription dog food for our sheltie, who recently crossed the bridge. It was on an automatic order system. I called them to cancel the order as our Luke had died, and they refunded us the full cost of the most recent bag of food, which had not been opened. They said to donate it to a vet, to give to some other owner. They also sent us a flower donation, with a sweet card showing their condolences. If you have a need to use this company... strongly consider it.

I ordered flee treatment and found I needed a prescription. I told Chewy it would take me a bit as I was having lung surgery. I was getting ready to mail the prescription when my husband brought me a chewy box. It was a card and a mug with tea and honey. Telling me they was sorry I was unwell and hoped I'd get better soon. It touched my heart. They are amazing and I thank them so so much. ❤️

I have been using Chewy for several years to purchase cat food and medications. They have excellent customer service, and often the best prices too. When my cat's favorite flavor of Fancy Feast couldn't be found anywhere during the Pandemic...Chewy had it. Recently Chewy did something so above and beyond for a corporation, I could hardly believe it. My beloved grey cat Roswell died a couple of weeks ago and I had mentioned it to a Chewy representative on their customer service line. She was very kind to me on the phone. A couple of days later, Chewy actually sent me a condolence flower arrangement for Roswell. It made me cry. Chewy...you really know the way to a pet owner's heart. Thank you so very much.

I ordered on Nov 6th - $116.08 was taken out of my checking. Saw it was still waiting for a pickup after a couple of days - so I called and spoke to a rep - AND also did a chat on their page. They took my money - and states 1-3 day delivery date. So I call again - and was ASSURED if I didn't cancel it would be there by Friday. So they have taken $116.00 of my money - my cats are out of food - and I had to go to PetsPlus and buy over $60.00 of cat food. I have spent $200.00 on cat food this week - between Chewy and then making me go the store.
Do you really think people have $200.00 to spend on cat food in a week? I have been with Chewy before the Covid even started - Every month - over $100.00 a month on my orders. Ohhhh, and that was another thing that was mentioned to me - I had a "large" order and those take longer to get out... since they want to ship everything in one order. REALLY?? So I guess they are wanting smaller orders? Two orders in a row AND I had a previous order lost about a year ago and it had to be shipped out AGAIN.
Well, that time I didn't think too much about it...it had only happened the once. But the last two orders are totally different. Two times in a row - and then the customer service trying to just push it "under the rug" like I was being unreasonable - when I called in. And then she offered to give me $10.00 towards my NEXT order. I am at this time looking at other options for my shopping. I only live 3 miles from PetsMart and I am thinking of just doing online orders and picking the order up. And of course - there is Sam's Club - and it will be delivered. I am extremely unhappy at this time.

I want the world to know that Chewy.com is the best company on earth! More than once, customer service has saved me from making mistakes by handling changes instantly over the phone. So, today I told Victoria that my husband had moved out and now had the cat, so I needed to switch Lily's food auto-ship to him. He doesn't have his own account and her food is by prescription, so I didn't know how to set that all up. She got everything straightened out and said I would be getting a big fuzzy discount.
I paused, then asked if that was just because she was a nice person. She said that was the least she could do with all I was dealing with (!). She could relate to me since she had to run out of Boston and move to Texas to get away from her ex. At the end of our conversation, I told her that I hoped her life had improved since her move and she said "Oh, yes. I have been here for two years now and met a wonderful man." Isn't that amazing? And kind and caring? Chewy finds these wonderful people that make contacting them a pleasure.

I bought 5 bags of cat food. I only received 2 a few days later. It took almost a month and a dozen calls to get the other 3. Never got my gift card. I will be canceling my auto order of treats. And buy local. Yes my cats love the food so yes I recommend it just not from Chewy.

I sent in a prescription for special dietary food (liver formula) for my dog. This was after being told they do not accept a fax directly from the vet. Several days later I was told that they pulled the prescription and canceled the order with no explanation given.

Recently, we lost our beloved golden retriever, Strider to cancer. He was only 6 years old. I had ordered a bunch of food from Chewy as we didn’t know he would take a turn for the worse so quickly. I emailed Chewy to ask for a possible refund and has told them of Strider’s passing. They sent me the most encouraging compassionate email with sympathy and gave me a label to ship back at their own expense. That really impressed me. The UPS driver never came up to pick it up.
After letting them know, they gave me a full refund and asked me to donate the food to a local animal shelter. I was really impressed with the amount of kindness their representatives had shown me in their heartfelt words. Then-WOW! Last night we had a knock on my door and they sent us the most beautiful bouquet of flowers with a kind message. Never have I seen a company go out of their way in reaching out and our grieving of our beloved dog. I am in awe of their kindness and I will forever use Chewy.com for any future pets that we get!

My last purchase of canned prescription dog food is spoiled. One can was open which is understandable due to shipping. The rest of the cans were spoiled. Both of my dogs took 1 sniff and walked away from it. They usually eat it in less than a minute. Now both of my dogs are hungry and I can’t walk down to the store and buy more because I don’t have another prescription. You would think that I’d get next day delivery. Chewy is kind enough to replace my order but that only solves the smaller half of my problem!

This is the 3rd time I have ordered from Chewy.com and the order sat in Preparing for Shipment and then canceled. I did not want to try and use them again, but of course, the $20 off coupon in the mail made me feel like trying again. One time my order did go through, not one of these 3, only 1 item was delivered not 2. They did send me my item, but I had to call and wait on hold for them to verify everything.

I'm to choked up to put everything down. This is the best company that has ever been in about 30 years. I think they hire Angels as their customer service personnel. The company allows that personal touch to all accounts. My 6 y/o shih tzu is extremely mild mannered. Hardly barks. But he recognizes the chew box that arrives and he is all over it. I can hardly open it.
They don't just care about the pets, they care about the pet owners. They sent me a get well card and present for me when I had this terrible cold, but I had to contact them for something on my order. These Angels, I mean - service reps - are always pleasant. I have never had a bad time when calling them. Unlike MOST companies out there. We all know who THEY are and what they put the customer through even before they get to talk with anybody. BRAVO to Chewy.com for having the best company out there for its customers. I hope you all know how much you are appreciated.

I’ve used Chewy for years, since my rescue dog, Oliver needed to be on a prescription diet. Chewy became my source for everything dog related, and even more so when we added a puppy to our family. Oliver was diagnosed with congestive heart failure last year and needed to be on quite a bit of medication, hundreds of dollars a month, all purchased through Chewy. On August 19, 2023, my sweet Oliver passed away, 3 months shy of his 15th birthday and after 14.5 years of devoted companionship. Our hearts were, and still are, broken. I called Chewy the next day to notify them, through my tears, of his death and to cancel all of his medications, etc.
Anyone l know that has used Chewy and lost a pet has really appreciated that Chewy will send flowers or something to the home. Well, l guess Oliver and l aren’t good enough for Chewy because they couldn’t be bothered to send us anything. Funny thing is, in his last days, Oliver wasn’t interested in eating and l kept trying different foods to entice him, so l tried Farmer’s Dog. I only placed one order with Farmer’s Dog before Oliver passed, and when l notified them to stop additional food from coming, they sent me a plant and a condolence card. After only one order! And from Chewy? Not even a condolence email or card! 5 stars for Farmer’s Dog, ZERO STARS FOR CHEWY. So disappointed and spoiling my other pup from anywhere BUT Chewy.

I went online to cancel my auto ship of my dog's prescription and another product after he died. I was able to cancel the product online but had to call to cancel the pharmacy. I had just received these 2 items on auto ship about 10 days before I called. When asked why I wanted to cancel, I said that my dog had died. They refunded both items without me asking and no need to return them. The next day, I received flowers from Chewy. I thought they were awesome and went above and beyond.

I called a couple of days ago to the Corporate office to order the new Cat food called Temptations. I explained that I just lost my Dog Savannah and she was almost 21 years old. Chewy.com always sends her a Birthday Card. I was talking to Jonathan and told him that I had to put her down and I had her Cremated, her hair and a paw print impression made. I said prior to that 3 days before, XS my only Sister just passed away and she was healthy. He was a very good listener and I said My Dog was just a little Mutt that I rescued being tied to a tree. I said she was my little Angel.

I started using Chewy when my dog started on Royal Canine GI low fat and **. The order is always delivered fast. I have had issues with dented cans twice and they always correct the issue within a day. Would highly recommend.

I called chewy asking about a coupon and how I could use it. I did everything the customer service rep told me to do. The order was not being shipped. I called and asked why. They said I couldn’t use the coupon after they had charged me already. The manager said she would not honor the directions from the customer service rep. I told her my dog had a sensitive stomach and will get sick if I suddenly change her food. I told her I will pay the extra then not use them again but I need the food I paid for so I can start slowly getting my dog used to a different food. She said no. She said it didn’t matter to her if my dog got sick or not. She cancelled my order instead of letting me pay extra. Now I have to do a sudden food change for my dog that is going to make her sick with vomiting and diarrhea for at least 2 weeks. This also means I have to take her to the vet to get medication to help her be a little less sick through this.
This is supposed to be a company that cares about pets, but, it is not!! I had already paid for the food and even told the manager I would pay extra to get it without the coupon. She said she did not care and she did not care she would be making my dog sick. I did everything by instructions for their phone line. THIS WILL END UP HAPPENING TO YOU! I was willing to pay extra but having a manager tell me she doesn’t care if my dog is going to get sick and no I can’t pay the difference to get the food, is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard! Just disgusting!

I've been a loyal and frequent Chewy.com user since the pandemic. I have never been disappointed in their service...ever. In fact, they allow their employees to have a heart and do the right thing...A few days ago our beloved dog Atlas passed away. We had just received a big order. Yesterday, I chatted them to return a few of the unopened items. They returned everything without issue and with such kindness and had us donate the items to a shelter, which we did. Her name was Danielle. Today, we received some beautiful flowers and a heartfelt card from Danielle and the Chewy family. What a lovely touch. I encourage anyone to feel very confident in the quality of products and the service. Thank you, Chewy.

I've never, ever had any complaint about Chewy and this is not a complaint at all. This is more a compliment to Chewy because their customer service always exceeds expectations and today even more for me when I called to report that unfortunately a very important item for my dog was stolen right from the box after delivery. Erick was kind to hear me out and as soon as I finished telling him the story he told me "Let's get you a replacement for that". I am not one to call if anything gets stolen because it is not the store's fault, but this is an item very important for my pet that she needs in a daily basis and nowadays every dollar spent is very important as well since times are a bit hard right now, so I took my chance to call and Erick was phenomenal on sending me a replacement. Thank you Erick and Chewy for your excellent service as always. Wish I had taken an employee number.

I carefully time food and medication shipments to avoid hot weather, as temps reach over 140 in the back of the OnTrac vans. So what did Chewy do? Tried to ship my autoship order a week early during heat wave. I cancelled it. They sent anyway. $150 in the trash. No apology. Customer “service” argued that it was ok for wet food to spend 8 hours at 120 degrees. They also said I could just refuse delivery. I pointed out their drivers don’t come to door, they just toss boxes in driveway so I’d have no idea when it was arriving. They think I should stand in my driveway all day. So now I will need to contact them again when the spoiled food arrives to get a label, and then drag spoiled food to store to ship. Talk about costly and inconvenient. And I still won’t have food for my sick cat.
They sent a birthday card “gift” coupon for 10% off “anything ordered in their “birthday store”"…except coupon didn’t work. Several customer “service” reps told me I didn’t understand instructions. I did. Turns out it works on three of 300+ items in their “birthday store”—each item less than $6–they just hope customers are too stupid to actually look at the cost when ordering. Everything about this makes life harder than it should.

This company has always taken care things promptly and equitably whenever I had an issue. They typically were on the mark from the start but we had a couple things come up and they were always there. Where they really impressed me as a consumer and as a person, was when my pet passed away. I had just received an order and had to send it back. As soon as I told the employee why, they were compassionate and said all the right things, however they wasn’t enough for them. I just received fresh flowers with a note from Chewy.com. I will promote this company and use them for pet gifts as often as I possibly can. They cared.

Chewy. I have been a loyal Chewy customer for over 8 years. This is really disheartening. I've had this problem ever since Oct 4th I had an infestation of Indian Meal Moth. Unbeknownst to me. I had to throw out a majority of my pantry food since I keep the canned food in my pantry. I didn't even notice what appeared to be a white worm until I opened the second layer of cans. In the meantime, I had an infestation of these moths. I haven't been able to get rid of them. Little did I know they had been feeding on my dry cat food. I free-feed my cat her wet and dry food. Until I called Chewy to inquire about this problem and seek advice and some type of compensation. I didn't realize that's why I still have them. In the meantime, I was informed to clean my pantry out again. Those Fromm Treats have a lot of crumbs and that is a sign they are feeding on them. Both products could have been affected.
I'm disabled and on a fixed income. I do not have very much food to throw everything out. I don't get paid until the 3rd of November. I'm already food insecure and for this to happen it's really created a hardship for me. The Hill's Science Diet c/d food is expensive enough. I've been buying my food for the last 5 months with you just to save on gas.
I was told by the very nice customer service rep that I would be compensated for the last 4 orders which totaled $229.24. Honestly, that's barely enough to replace the cat food and the food in my pantry. $74.45 is a joke. That's barely enough to replace the other cat food that I bought at my local Petco to supplement. With the price of food in Florida and inflation, I would need more than $229.24. I have talked with friends who have had the same problem within the last year with bugs from Chewy. You are fully aware of this ongoing problem. That is an insult to me. I will broadcast this to all of my fellow pet owner friends and I will do poor reviews for Chewy. Unless I am compensated appropriately.

There was a time when I could rely on Chewy to provide fast and accurate shipping to my home. Typically I would receive my orders on one or two days. My last two orders have taken 5 business days to receive which has thrown off my dog's food delivery. Maybe it’s time to find a new outlet for my dog's supplies.

I received an email on Oct. 17 that my auto-ship of dog food was processed and that shipments are normally received in 1-3 days. Perfect, I thought! I was out of town and the food would get there at about the time I returned home to my dwindling food supply. I then received an email on Oct. 20 with the good news that my order had shipped and would get to my home on Oct 26. Only 6-8 days late! As a result, I need to drag this jet-lagged body to the store to get dog food.
Rule #1: Always under-promised but over-delivery.
Chewy over-promised and under-delivered.
Rule #2: Perception is reality.
I perceive that Chewy auto-delivery is awful, therefore at least in my world Chewy auto-delivery is awful and cannot be trusted.

What’s the point of an AUTOship subscription if I have to receive three emails, go confirm my card information online, then CALL customer service and confirm all my personal information AGAIN and THEN wait 48 hours for them to “verify my account” before they even START preparing my order, 24-72 hours for them to confirm my SAME prescription (for FOOD, for Pete’s sake!) with my vet AGAIN, and then five to seven MORE days for it to arrive?! Not worth it. I’ll drive to the vet and buy my cat’s prescription food there. Absolutely worthless and completely infuriating.

Chewy was available when I needed their services. I believe they’re open 24/7. They were always friendly when I called. My cat passed away a couple weeks ago and yesterday I found a box of fresh multicolored roses delivered to my front door with a note from Nina and Chewy Family expressing sympathy and sending love. When I came down with Covid they sent me a mug and tea with a Get Well note. I honestly have not received such love and caring from any pet company before.

Over the years I have ordered my dogs and cats food and medication, collars, leashes, toys and so on. I have also been on the auto ship plan. This past week I had to say goodbye to my 16 yr + little dog Sierra. Never easy. I was having problems online canceling her medication so I called. And the rep offered condolences and proceeded to cancel any upcoming orders. Thank you so much. It didn't stop there. Today I received a bouquet of flowers in a vase with a note: "We hope these flowers bring you a smile and remind you of the love Sierra left on your heart. I have been using Chewy since 2012, I have purchase all kinds of things for my dog. She meant the world to me, when she passed suddenly from a blood clot in the spine I was out of my mind with grief, still now I feel like my heart still breaks thinking about her. On the day she passed I got a medication package from Chewy. They not only refunded the full amount but sent over a beautiful arrangement of flowers for my Bella. I will forever be grateful for those flowers! Will continue to use this company for any gifts to my family members' pets.

2. Called them in Oct 2023 to delete one of my auto deliveries due to losing Chalee (dog). Putting Chalee down was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. I still miss him to this day. I don't go through the food as fast with just having one dog. CS was very nice and updated my auto-ships.
Next thing I know is I received a flower delivery for the loss of Chalee. I thought that was so sweet. That is something you just never expect from Companies.

I got a $20 off over $49+ coupon in the mail. It was a "We haven’t heard from you in a while" coupon. So I order it, they say for me to call to verify. So I do, they say it’ll be shipped in 24 to 48 hours. 10 hours later they cancel my order and give me a reason that’s from a totally different coupon. They don’t make sense. I don’t understand how they don’t even know what coupon they send out. I sent a picture of both sides of coupon, it doesn’t say anything about first time or auto ship or anything in the fine print. That keep sending these then they don’t Honor them. Chewy.com is a bunch of Scammers. I’ve been waiting on a corporate call back. I should hold my breath.

My wife and I have been buying our cat's prescription food from Chewy for several years, and the process has been very smooth. Recently, something attacked our cat, and unfortunately he didn't make it. Earlier that day, we had been notified of his food being delivered. The next day we reached out about returning the food because it wasn't needed anymore (no further explanation than that). They sent us the label and finished the email with "give our love to ....". We responded that we would love to but he had unexpectedly passed the day before so we couldn't. Figured that was the end of it, as most big companies don't care about the reasons behind lost profits.
But 2 days later, we received an email from Myles offering his condolences and letting us know that if we needed anything, even just to talk, that we were part of the Chewy family and they were here for us. Then, tonight, almost a week later, we received flowers in the mail with condolences from Myles again. So, with all this said, I recommend Chewy to everyone because they truly care about their customers and know that they are actual people with feelings and emotions, not just another number.

I recently lost my kitty Mojito after having him for over 15 years. I ended up getting a case of his prescription food right before he passed. Chewy.com was really understanding and provided me with a refund. They also suggested I donate the food to a local shelter. After I got home from work today, I found a beautiful flower arrangement outside my door with a heartfelt message from Chewy. A big shout out to #chewy for helping with our dilemma. This is Bacons (our doxie) favorite toy, (can't add a picture) somehow Goliath (our rottie) got it and chewed the top off. I tried to order another and they were nowhere on the site. I sent an email asking for help, they found them and added them to my cart, I wanted to switch them over to come with our autoship so I didn't need to pay shipping or buy any other toys these dogs aren't interested in. They were quick to help and get it switched BUT then I got an email saying they weren't available... A brief follow up telling them it was disheartening to get an email after all the hoops to find them, and the phone rang. The lady was so sweet and found them again. It may say "1-3 days on delivery over $35" but that's false. You have to call Chewy customer service EVERY TIME you place an order and then you have to wait 48 hours (2 days!!!) just for the order to be released to the warehouse. Putting delivery at 5-7 days. No one likes calling customer service of any company - let alone every single time an order is placed. It's not worth it.

I placed an order on September 1, 2023. My card was doubled charged on the 2nd and the 3rd, after the pending hold fell off on the 1st. I've provided proof that it is an actual debit from my account, yet, I still get the same scripted generic response from the accounting department. "When a pending hold is placed it usually falls off within 24 to 48 hours after the actual charge. We're a month past as I said and everyone I speak to refuses to acknowledge I provided proof of an ACTUAL DEBIT. They are very unprofessional and unconcerned with their mistakes and taking my money.

I was using Chewy to purchase foods that must be prescribed by a veterinarian. Chewy is not a dependable source for these items. They are either very lackadaisical about getting these orders out or totally incompetent. They don't seem to understand that pets using these foods can't use regular foods and owners are depending on Chewy to promptly execute the order. My last and final experience with this Chewy department resulted in 3 long telephone calls to them over the course of a week. By the time I had waited for the food initially and then each time it was promised to me after the 3 phone calls, I had to get another script from my vet and race out to find it elsewhere.
In this last fiasco, they put my order on hold for some reason they could not explain and then tried to lie to me that the script had expired. I very quickly explained that the script was less than 6 months old and that such scripts are good for a year. They then told me that my order was inexplicably placed on hold by the vet food department and only certain employees could see the hold - unfortunately not ones I had talked to. What kind of management is this????
Chewy needs to stop handling vet foods if this is the best they can do. It is also important to note that the owner has no way of knowing when the script is expiring because Chewy is obtaining the script from the vet and does not put that information on its website under your account. Invariably, they waited until my autoship was due to be sent to determine if the script was still good and then had to delay the shipment to get my vet's approval rather than taking care of that detail in advance. I have found another vendor for the vet foods I need at the same price Chewy was charging. Chewy was not dependable for these items and I will never use them again for veterinary foods. If I could rate them below 1 star, I would.

9/18 our 6 yr. old Mocha required a RX, only Chewy could overnight. Sadly, our beloved Mocha went to the rainbow bridge on 9/19/23. My wife and I decided to use Chewy for an antibiotic prescription for our dog. She gets frequent UTI's and needed a stronger dog-only antibiotic which a local pharmacy said would cost $142. When we looked on chewy.com the same antibiotic was around $80. We placed the order on Monday. I called on Wednesday and they stated they had just received the vet's prescription. I asked how long 'til we get it and was assured by the pharmacy technician that this medication gets priority shipping and arrive within a couple days. I had received no email updates by Friday and called again. IT TURNS OUT THEY HAD NOT EVEN PROCESSED THE PRESCRIPTION YET!!
I was then told they hopped it would ship that day, since it's a priority medication, but may not ship till Monday. My wife called back and talked to a supervisor. Instead of helping the situation the supervisor gave my wife attitude and insinuated we were being unreasonable for expecting quick order processing and shipping. The supervisor also said there is no such thing as priority with Chewy and that 3 to 5 days is what we should have expected all along. The prescription did ship Friday but with an estimated delivery date of 5 days later so apparently that's 3 to 5 days for order processing and ANOTHER 3 to 5 days for shipping. DO NOT USE CHEWY FOR ANY URGENT MEDICATIONS. Our poor dog has now suffered for a whole extra week plus, not worth the $60 savings.

I have ordered from Chewy since about 2019 for my dog. On Friday, 9/15/23, unfortunately he passed away at the age of 16. I had already recently placed an order with Chewy for his food (2 cases). Needless to say, he was only able to eat 2 cans out of one of the cases before passing. So, I contacted Chewy to let them know of the situation and I was prepared to return the unopened items, even if they were to only take the case that was never opened. The customer service rep was so compassionate & helpful. She told me that they would refund the cost and I could donate the remainder of the food to a shelter. That was my thought before calling, but I thought I would check with them first.
Later, I received two emails from other reps giving their condolences as well. Then later this afternoon, I had a knock at the door and there was a flower arrangement with a card stating "Losing such a big part of your family is never easy. We're thinking of you in this difficult time. Sending you love" from Dara and your Chewy family. For this company to do this...it shows they really care for their customers and go above and beyond. It shows true compassion!! I don't know of ANY other company that would EVER care about their human & furry customers as Chewy. They are definitely a class act!!!

I placed a Chewy order Sep 3 for $52 which equals 1-3 days free shipping. I received Chewy email the package was shipped and would arrive Sep.6. I called Chewy today Sep.08 because my package has not arrived. Chewy customer service said they would reship my order and if I got a duplicate I could return it. That did not happen! The only thing that happened is the original tracking information on Chewy website has changed to show an arrival date of Sep.13. Can I hope it will actually ship this time? I used to shop at Chewy for all my pet supplies but no more. I receive email promotions that advertise things like a $30 E- credit if I spend $100 but when I go to enter the promo code at checkout it tells me that it's invalid. A quick call to customer service and the rep tells me that it only applies to certain products that I don't regularly buy or need. Well that tidbit of information is either omitted from the email advertisement or purposefully obscured from view. It's misleading. It's dishonest. It's a bait and switch. The prices at chewy aren't any better than the local stores. It's simply more convenient to shop there. But why shop at a place that's purposefully trying to trick you. Nope, I want honest dealings. This company is not honest. They're tricky and misleading.

I have been using Chewy.com for my pet prescription food since 2017. It’s a weight management food to ensure he stays healthy. I just placed a refill order and I was told it could not be refilled without a veterinarian approval. Chewy claims they seek approval once a year which is not true for I asked my veterinarian if chewy.com has asked for this approval yearly and they told me that they do not see it on my dog's records. Well my dog is an American Bulldog who weighs about 72 to 80 pounds. He is also 12 years old. I asked if they could send his food as an exception this one last time being that his almost out of food and express that I can’t just change my dog's food or any dog's food instantaneously especially on a senior dog's food because it will upset his stomach. I said this will allow me to make an appointment and get them the approval they are seeking. They said sorry but they can’t and I have to reach out to the vet.
My dog goes to the vet regularly however it’s a bit harder now that he is a senior 12 years of age and his vet has been out due to medical reasons. I know his vet should be back this September so he could go see her. I'm writing this review because I have a huge problem with how dismissive this guy was and not empathetic at all. This is just weight management food not **. Even my personal prescriptions have been filled as an emergency at the pharmacy as an exemption to allow me time to go to the doctor and get a refill if you’ve been on that medication in the past. It’s just super bothersome to have spoken to this individual who could have clearly cared less. This is NOT the image I had of chewy. Hoping other pet parents keep track of all prescription of pets since clearly chewy will not support at all unless they have the brand new approval.

Yesterday I was trying to cancel my Autoship for prescription food as my baby is now deceased. Apparently though the system requires you to have an item on autoship. I emailed the customer service department requesting help to cancel the order. Ashley K responded quickly and kindly. Confirming the cancelation of the Autoship and issued a full refund of the food which we had just had delivered a week or two ago. I never expected or asked for the refund, Chewy just did it. So, as my heart was breaking they were warm and kind. I have three other babies and will use Chewy again every chance I get.

Two days after our cat Zuzu passed, we received an autoship of litter, cat food, and cat treats. I emailed them asking if there was any way to return the products as we hadn't even opened the box explaining how we had just lost our Zuzu. Within a few hours, I received a response advising they had refunded the cost to our account and asking us to just give the products to someone who could use them. Chewy is one of the few online merchants that still connects you to real people when you call about an issue with your order. There have been a handful of times where I was notified that my packages had arrived but they hadn’t actually delivered properly and I am immediately shipped a replacement order every time. I love that Chewy Pharmacy contacts your vet for you for prescription refills, and their auto-ship feature is so convenient for staples like food and kitty litter! I can’t see myself buying pet supplies anywhere else.

I saw that they had great pricing so I called to verify cost. No problem. It was still great. Set up the order on July 21. They would not take an email with a photo of the prescription, told me to mail, which I did, regular mail. I called 4 days later when I was almost out of the supply from the vet. Was told it would be 7-10 days total. Ok, I can get a few more pills just to cover...well we are at day 11. Now it's 12-14 days for the prescription to get there (apparently US mail in their area is by turtle) and then 3-5 for processing, and then who knows how long to ship back if the mail is that bad there? I guess I'm getting this prescription in 2024.

Have used Chewy off and on for years, I try not to. Most recently they held my order hostage for 4 days because "my account was blocked" for no good reason and I needed to "call to verify my information." I didn't know it was happening because I'd used an email I rarely check, I hate getting too many emails. I just needed dog food. I called the number and the first agent HUNG UP on me. I have really been happy with Chewy up till now I have to get a prescription medication for my cat and it has been super smooth sailing. Then today I go to log into order his cat food and I get this block up. I’m hoping I can send you a screenshot, basically saying they want to track me and what I’m doing so they can provide me better advertising. I have block tracking on my phone. I don’t have an issue with that if I could ask out of it and continue to the site place my order. But it will not allow me to do so so you have 100% lost all my business now. This is absolutely ridiculous that I cannot order product simply because I do not want you to track my activities online.!!!
I encourage all people to check their phone tracking turn it off and not allow websites to simply track you because they want to!! Disappointed beyond! I guess PetSmart gets all my business now! I will be placing this review everywhere I can and where it allows me to post the picture of what you’re doing. I will do that as well!

I was very pleased to do business with Chewy. We recently took in a tiny stray kitten and needed nutritional foods we were unable to find at local stores. Chewy had everything we needed and I had my order in less than 2 days. Their service has helped me and now our tiny stray baby has gained over 5 pounds. Their prices are lower than anywhere and the expiration dates are 2 years Plus! They even sent me a TY card along with cat toys and a cute cat scarf. Chewy goes above and beyond for their customers and I will be ordering from them soon for my 2 older cats. I hope to do business with them for a long time. They are pleasant, honest and very fast shippers.

I have used Chewy for a few years now ordering in dog food for my dogs. Recently my 2.5yr old grew ill and I purchased a liver support chew for him. Unfortunately, before it arrived my pet passed. I reached out to return. To my surprise I received an email from Chewy with condolences for my loss, a note that they credited my account and a request that I donate the item to the local shelter/rescue. Then after I replied with a thank you, I received another heartfelt condolence for my loss. Two days later I received a package from Chewy that included a dozen roses and yet another amazing note of condolence. You hear of random acts of kindness, but rarely do you receive one yourself. This was unbelievable act of kindness during at a terrible time. You do not see or hear of any other companies going that far to show you they care. I recommend Chewy to everyone.

I have used Chewy for years to reliably get my chinchilla Mazuri pellets and lots of other supplies. However, I just had an experience that was pretty terrible. The customer service reps fixed it financially, but it could have had terrible ramifications, and I don't think the company really cares. I use some dried herb mixes for my chinchillas as a way to encourage hay consumption and as a treat... especially for my geriatric boy. He needs a little help to get along. He is currently recovering from an issue, and the herbs have become more important than ever to encourage him to eat reliably.
I ordered one type of herb in a 4 pack. It came extremely dusty and strong smelling with most of the herbs so dry they were crushed beyond recognition. I wrote to customer service, and they sent me a new pack which I stated that I really hoped was in better condition. When it came, it was only marginally better. I consider this not safe to feed to the very animals it is marketed for. And I have never had problems with the brand from any other retailer.
Secondly, I also ordered a different mix of herbs figuring that since it was a more popular one that it might be in better shape. I ordered that and the dandelion which was very important for my animal's care. It was also slightly better than the other order, but still very dusty, smelly and crushed. Neither one of my boys wanted anything to do with any of it. On top of that, they had sent two of those and none of the dandelion. I let the customer service reps know what a difficult error this was for us during my animal's recovery. In fact our night was pretty awful. I managed to have Wal-mart deliver one of the varieties to my door (at much higher cost) the next morning. My animal was visibly hungry and relieved when we got it.
Chewy did refund my money, but when I expressed my grave concerns about the quality control on this product and the safety issues it could pose for animals, I have received no response. Please beware!! I think I'm going to be switching all of my shipments from Chewy to another vendor that can be more relied upon for quality control. I'm glad they gave me my money back, but if my animal had died because I didn't have what he needed, that money is poor solace.

My Two Cats passed away within a month of each other. Jordan had kidney failure. I had a full package of hydro care left and I call to see if I could get a credit and send them back. They were so great, they gave my money back and told me to donate the product. Then they sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers! I will continue to use Chewy for my Cat Coby. I have used Chewy for the last two years to auto-ship my cat food to me, as well as other various cat related supplies. My cat of 13 years passed away on 7/19/23. It was a horrific day to say the least. I got back from the vet an emotional mess as you can imagine. Later that afternoon I was came across an old email from Chewy.com and I realized I had an auto-ship order for cat food coming soon. I used the chat online service they have on the web site and chatted with Demetria.
I explained that I need to cancel all of my future auto-ship orders as my cat had just passed away earlier that day. She expressed her sympathies and took care of it for me. I have spent the last couple of in a depressed funk. Today, 7/21/23 I received a bouquet of fresh flowers that just beautiful from Demetria and the Chewy family. Seeing this caring gesture gave me my first smile since I lost my Raja. I do not currently have any other pets but when I do...I will be looking to Chewy for my pets needs!

I've used Chewy for years now. Their shipping was a little spotty during the height of the pandemic, but still pretty good considering! And better than many other companies. Recently though I needed to refund and cancel my most recent shipment of cat food, as my cat is on a hypoallergenic diet for a period of time. Chewy made the process so easy! They refunded the $80 charge for two bags of food, and said I could donate it, give it away or whatever else I wanted to do with it. So refreshing for an online refund, as I can focus my energy on my cat and donate food to help support our local shelter! I've also found their prices to be competitive with other retailers, as well as very convenient with auto ship services.

It's usually fine. You need something for pets, you order it, it gets to your door in a few days. Over the last few years, their quality of service has degraded. They put items together in boxes that are not smart. Large bags of food or liter in with small toys or bones. Boxes are taped twenty times over instead of just separating items. I've had to make sure to order anything medicine or pet cleaner separate, as they will package these together with food items and I have had items crushed or spilled out into the box and other items by proxy.
When they're great it's fantastic. But I am reaching my final straw with this company. I am missing items and it was an expensive order for medicine. I am at a $45 loss unless they address my concerns at some point this week. If it is resolved, I may reflect on this review as well, but I am getting rather fed up.

We've used Chewy for years with absolutely no issues. However, I've recently gained even more respect for them. I had ordered an rx item for our fur baby. Unfortunately, he passed away a few days later. Chewy not only refunded us for the item without question but was kind enough to send flowers the next day to give their condolences. This small gesture speaks volumes about their care and has strengthened my trust in using them for our pet's needs. Thank you Chewy!

I order a lot of cat litter. Last order I earned a gift card when I ordered 400 lbs of cat litter back in March. I never get or use coupons. It is now July, 4 months later since my last order. I placed an order this week. Because my phone number was associated with an old email account they sent me an email to call them and then they questioned me. This is the second time this has happened. I had a gift card to use and they questioned that. I’ll go to Walmart. It’s the same price there and sometimes cheaper.

I have 6 Tibetan Mastiffs and have been feeding them the same food for a while. I have been very happy with Chewy until this last shipment. I have been up all night for several days cleaning up diarrhea and vomit. Couldn't figure out what happened until I looked at the empty bag (I took photo) and saw that it had been taped up. I immediately threw the food away. My dogs are feeling a little better after about 4 days now and thank God it wasn't more serious. I called customer service and they just replaced the bag. I just feel like this is a serious issue. My dogs could have been harmed further and all the stress between worrying about the dogs and cleaning up vomit and diarrhea seems like what they offered is pretty inconsiderate. Customer service rep didn't seem too alarmed or sympathetic. I don't know what the solution is but my poor dogs and myself have been through an awful ordeal.

I ordered Nextguard and interceptor meds as I have for 5 years. Our last vet appt had our dog at 48lbs. As a responsible dog owner I ordered meds for her weight by the time I had gotten the script from vet that had to be mailed into Chewy because my vet does not deal with Chewy, now I understand why, our dogs weight from recent visit was now 55lbs. Clearly a weight difference due to scale issues as she sat still for accurate weight. My vet made copies of script and I mailed into Chewy. I got a call at 800am on a holiday weekend whereby rep treated me like I had committed a crime with interrogation tactics demanding personal information from me and I refused till they would explain issue. I got verbally forceful in return and demanded unless they could tell me issue I would not cooperate or tolerate her demands of me.
We are already inconvenienced by the delays and obfuscation. I said we followed all requirements and as 5 year customers we deserved respect or we would rescind our order. Then I lost it and we both hung up, she saying she did t need to tolerate MY abuse!? Never in my life have I ever had such terrible customer service and felt threatened over the phone as if I were a criminal being interrogated. Apparently this is their new way of doing business with dedicated customers following the rules they set. When I called back customer service line she said she could tell me there was a weight discrepancy.
I agreed but the vet had more rank over me via the script and their records. I recorded both calls and will be pursuing further. We will no longer be customers despite affordability. We and our beloved pet family member deserve more respect and Chewy and CHEW on it and choke! Looks like they already have lawsuits against them online. Hmmm beware!

I placed an order for medication and right after, I got a email saying to call them and my account was disabled. I verified my info and order and was told my account would be reactivated. I still couldn't log in. I emailed them, and they told me to change my password. I did and still couldn't log in, emailed them back, and was told my account is still disabled and to call them again.
Like, why do I have to call again when I already verified my info? I'm sure I'm going to call, give my info again and have my account still be disabled. Then they will probably want me to call a 3rd time, maybe a 4th and 5th time. My dog will run out of meds and I don't have time to screw around. They claimed my account had unusual activity and that's why it was disabled. I was buying the same meds I bought before. This issue already caused a delay because now my vet is closed for the weekend. Unfortunately, Chewy is the only place that carries the dosage of meds I need.

I've heard good things about Chewy, but in my experience, I don't see much value added for their service. I have an elderly dog with heart issues, who needs constant medication. I've placed orders to Chewy for his medication, but the delays in getting his meds are severe. Chewy relies on the US Postal Service for submitting prescriptions, which is extremely slow. It takes a couple of weeks to get meds. I didn't factor in this much delay, so my dog is without heart medication. They may as well take down their website and use mail order. I will probably go back to getting meds from my vet.

Today I received an almost $900 charge on my credit card from Chewy.com for something I never purchased. My personal information on my Chewy.com site must have been compromised, including my CREDIT CARD NUMBER. Luckily I caught the fraudulent charge and contacted customer support about it. I received apologies and denials that it was their wrong doing, they tried to pass it off as my password was too easy to figure out etc. This has never happened on any other webstore I use. I asked them to give me some kind of credit on my account to keep me as a customer because it was really shocking to have this kind of fraud happen so easily on their site. Nope, they are willing to lose me as a customer instead of compensate me with a gift card or credit on my account. I am part of a dog training club whose members use chewy.com ALL the time, not anymore, they all just heard about it and are switching to other pet supply sites.

I found my baby kitty about a year ago and she has always been very picky about her food. Chewy always has the best price on her brands of wet food, dry food, and treats (and her cat tree) and is much more convenient than going to several stores to figure out who has what at any given time. I guess there's been a cat food shortage because many places that would normally carry them have been inconsistent. I never had any issue until today. One of her boxes of wet food was damaged when it arrived so I took a picture and threw it away. I called customer service at 9:30 pm EST and Jessica immediately put in an order for a replacement with no hassle.

Chewy sends out an email that states, "You’ve been given a $25 e-gift card and it’s been added to your account balance." When I went online to place a new order there was no gift card in my account. I went onto the chat and the Chewy agent said "one of our pups sent out gift cards to some customers by mistake." They wouldn’t honor the e-card but said ‘we’ll give you 10% off on an order today’. If that’s not a bait and switch I don’t know what is….

My German shepard 12 years old was ran over. I had to call and return my order. Of course crying like a baby. To my surprise today. I got a box delivered that said farm fresh flowers. I looked at box. Cause clearly I don't get anything much less flowers. It said my name. I opened it up and they were a dozen roses. Omg!!! Thank you Chewy!!! I signed up for Chewy April 21, I made my first on May 5th, I guess they got it May 6 and then blocked it but I didn’t know yet until I ran out of dog food 4 days later (which they say I would receive it 1-3 days). I had to go buy a cheap bag to last me a few more days because it’s a hour to the nearest store that sells my dog food. I called chewy and they told me they blocked my order because they had a lot of people using PayPal and it was fraudulent. Well that has nothing to do with me and I should have got a text or call. You think since they clear it up and verified it was me, they would have sent it out ASAP. Nope, they didn’t send out until yesterday. I was expecting it yesterday. My dogs didn’t eat yesterday.
I didn’t want to go buy another cheap bag of dog food from corner store bevy it had them vomiting everywhere. I had to make them a sandwich and feed each one a sandwich which is more expensive to go through human food daily these days than dog food. I get on this morning to track my order and find out they just mailed it out and I won’t receive until Monday. They should have got that out ASAP and not take 2 weeks. I’m going to just go drive the hour to get their dog food and I don’t need two bags in this small camper. I’m refusing order and want my Money back. It said 1-3 days from May 6. It’s now 10 days. This was my first and last order. Never again.

Signed up for Auto ship after a couple purchases from Chewy. It said I was going to save $20 when I signed up per bag of dog food from the normal price of $58.29. That would make it $38.29.. Instead, my first autoship is $58.29. I was suckered! I can go to the feed store and pick the same food up for $48 even. Another local feed store is $51 even. So I canceled my autoship.

After placing a pet prescription order and waiting almost 3 days, I had to followup to find out it was not fulfilled and that they did not get all the information they needed from the vet. They blamed the vet for the delay - however, when I asked the vet they showed me timely response. What made it worse is that I told them we had to cancel as we were going to be out of medicine and could not wait for them to ship it 4 days after ordering and 2-3 to deliver. She said ok is canceled and hung up - NOT EVEN I'M SORRY. We have used other online pet pharmacies very successfully - I guess now that they are owned by Petsmart they just don't care.

I have used Chewy for several years for my cat’s food and Breeze litter supplies through their subscription service. Once, they didn’t have the EXACT items for my subscription in stock, and I got an email saying I could order replacement items with free shipping (code provided.) The problem is that the code didn’t work; I had to buy extra product to get free shipping (I figured it would get used, right?). Then the item came back in stock, and they shipped the subscription! Suddenly I was buried in product and had spent WAY more than I had budgeted for! I thought it was a fluke until we got a puppy; then this nightmare happened:
I ordered the 54” x 34” x 30” Frisco Heavy Duty Enhanced Lock Double Door Fold & Carry Wire Dog Crate & Mat Kit. It arrived in a box that had been previously opened and then taped shut again. All the cables to secure things inside the box had been cut, and the pieces had all been shoved back into the box in such a way that they were all caught on each other and bent badly (despite being a heavy-duty metal crate.) We had to cut the box open to get the pieces out. It then took us over an hour JUST TO SEPARATE the parts and another two hours to assemble (as it required bending many of the pieces back into place as much as possible.)
When we finally got it together, we discovered that the side door did not latch or swing properly due to bending in the frame (we tested the door before assembly; it swung and latched fine. However, once held “straight,” there is not room for the bent pieces to flex enough to work.). Also, the bars don’t line up with the latching mechanism. Finally, the ad says (in three places) that there is a divider, but there was not one in our box. Chatting with a Chewy rep, I asked to be sent a replacement panel for the one broken side preventing us from using the crate as intended. I was told this could not be done (which, I get, in theory. But why pay to ship a whole crate here and back when we only need one piece?). I was offered ONLY two options:
1. Spend another $216 to buy another crate and eventually get a refund or2. Request a replacement
BOTH of these options, I was told, could be completed ONLY AFTER I disassemble, rebox, and return the entire crate we had just finally put together. Other than repeatedly saying that they understood I was frustrated, there was no consideration for:
- the time and energy I had already spent assembling the crate OR
- the time and energy I would have to spend disassembling the crate OR
- the week I had already spent waiting for the crate to arrive OR
- the MONTH (at least) I would spend with a puppy but no crate because I would have to wait 5-7 days for the box (which I had to specifically ask how I would get one before they said they could send me a new one) to arrive, then rebox the crate, then notify Fex ex it was ready to be picked up, likely wait 1-2 days for them to pick it up, wait 5-7 days for the box to get back to Chewy, wait god knows how long for the replacement to be processed, wait 5-7 days for the replacement to ship out, cross my fingers that the replacement wasn’t also broken, and finally assemble another 32 cubic feet of crate. OR
- if I bought a second $216 crate, the week IT would take to arrive, AND cross my fingers that the replacement wasn’t also broken, AND finally assemble another 32 cubic feet of crate. OR
- the fact that Chewy sold me something someone else had obviously returned without even checking to see if it was in a condition to resell and/or if all the parts were still there.
***I was notified two days later that they can not, in fact, send me a box to return the crate in, but I am welcome to buy one from Fed Ex!*** It is NOT MY FAULT that Chewy failed to verify that the previously returned item was not damaged. It is NOT MY FAULT that Chewy failed to confirm that all the pieces were in the box before reselling it. It is NOT MY FAULT that the crate is bent so badly that it doesn’t work properly. But Chewy apparently thinks it should be ENTIRELY MY RESPONSIBILITY to do all the work (multiple times,) be out twice the cost of the product, buy a replacement box, be without the product I paid for, and/or eat the loss entirely.
I did not ask for a free crate. I did not ask for a discount on my crate. I did not ask for a credit. I did not even ask them to provide me with the missing divider. I ONLY asked them to replace the one panel, which was so broken it rendered the entire crate non-functional! I do not find this to be acceptable customer service. So, we suspended our subscriptions and sent in a review of the crate, including our opinion of Chewy’s service. That review is “under review” (and has been for four days as of 05/08/23.) We will see if they actually care or not. In the meantime, if you get a large or bulky item that appears damaged in any way, send it back immediately. Don’t try to work with it, or you might be stuck with it.

I have been using Chewy for several years now. We have all of our animals' food set up on auto ship and never have any issues. Recently, my beloved dog, Tank passed away and forgot to cancel his shipment. I called and talked with Jordan about returning the food and cancelling his food from our auto shipment. Jordan immediately cancelled his food and issued a refund. When asking where to send the return, he told me to donate the food to a local shelter. If that wasn’t enough, a couple of days later, I received a bouquet of flowers from Jordan and the Chewy family telling me how sorry they are about the loss of our Tank! I am beyond impressed at this heartfelt gesture. It’s rare to get good customer service these days, but this is just beyond any expectations I could ever have. Thank you SO much to Jordan and the Chewy family!

I’ve ordered from Chewy for 7 yrs. My senior dog was running out of his prescribed food due. I place my auto ship & it did not arrive on time. I called the customer service line, who is normally very helpful. I explained not only does my dog need this food asap because anything else would make him sick. I have just lost both my parents & best friend, so he is my only family left & I don’t want to lose him either. After speaking to 3 different people I felt as if they did not care about my pet. Therefore, I will no longer use my hard earned money on this company.

I started to order from Chewy about six years ago because my two cats are on a prescription diet and I have found their prices were much cheaper than anywhere else. The website was easy to use and shipping was fast and free. I had no negative experiences at all. Then in 2018, I was arrested and unfortunately, I was in prison for three years. During that time my family no longer used the Internet because they aren't computer savvy. However, my mother made several orders through Chewy via telephone, and they were always courteous and helpful.
I have just returned home recently, but soon afterwards my father passed away. The sales rep learned about the family death when my mother placed another order, and a few days later we received a beautiful bouquet of a dozen roses from Chewy as an expression of their condolences! I was so moved by this gesture because it is very rare to see a company as big and digital as Chewy reaching out to its customers at such a personal level. They always send us a holiday card at the end of each year too. The Chewy family understands the importance of what they do and they do it right.

End of March I received an email from Chewy telling me my package was on its way and I did not order anything. When I contact them to tell them and requesting a refund they told me they could not refund my credit card and it will take 3 to 5 days for me to get a paper check. After 5 days I called them again to know if my check was on the way and they told me it will take 3 to 5 weeks for me to receive my refund and nothing else they could do.
I did not even received the product I did not order; they rerouted it to Miami and on their tracking I could see my package arrived. The next day a Fedex truck came at my house to pick up the product I did not order and I told them I never received it because it was rerouted in Miami. I was one of their best clients ordering for about $ 4,000.- a year but after this no more. Received my check 2 days ago and cancel completely my account with them. When you make a mistake you do not make your clients wait 3 to 5 weeks for a refund; you send a refund right away.

Recently I had to cancel an autoship for my cat that had passed away. Within a week, I had a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered to my home with a heart touching message. I was so touched that Chewy.com took the time to send these flowers to me expressing their sadness in the loss of my beloved pet. I was so amazed that any company would take the time to do such a kind thing; and though I though customer service was a thing of the past, Chewy.com proved me wrong, with the best and kindest customer service ever. I am so impressed, Chewy.com customer service is EXCELLENT, AND SUPERIOR to anyone I have done business with. I cannot express how much this meant to our family.

I have been using Chewy for about 3 years now since we moved to a new town and the local pet supplies stores don’t carry our cat’s specific food. Our cat recently passed away and I inquired about food returns and explained the situation. We used to get his food auto-shipped and with everything that was going on at home I forgot to stop the last delivery. Well, I received a very sweet response back from Tierra, the rep that assisted me, and she said they were going to refund me for the last shipment but I didn’t have to return the food. They asked me to donate the food to a local shelter on our kitty’s behalf instead.
Today, the day when I have to go pick up his ashes, I received the loveliest flower delivery from Tierra & Chewy. They’ve been such a great company to order our pets’ supplies from, but to see this level of care and compassion from a big company is amazing! I am truly touched and thankful for their care during this awful time. This was also the perfect timing, it started my day off in such a sweet way and will help carry me through the remainder of it, especially when bringing our cat’s ashes home. He will come back home to a lovely bouquet of flowers to rest next to.

I have been a customer of Chewy's for several years. Never had a problem. One time FED-EX mis delivered my order to another house, they sent me a new order in a few days. It shocks me to see any complaints on Chewy. My pet meds were always delivered on time. Their pet med prices are always on target. I ordered pet supplies for my animals on the 12th on the 14th of April. It was supposed to arrive. It did not. Then I got a message saying there was a delay and it would be here on the 16th. It did not come. I called. He said he would have it expedited and I should get it the next day. Now it is saying the 19th...That is not expedited. I had to go buy food at a pet store so it was pointless to order from Chewy. Not a good look for my first order in 3 years. This is why I stopped shopping there. Too many games and empty promises!

I have been ordering from Chewy.com for about a year. I love that my orders come quickly and are always right and the prices are great. Twice I’ve had issues with my order - the first time the delivery person left it at the wrong address and the people there (just a few doors down) claimed they didn’t get it even though we had a picture of the box at their door! But I called chewy and they immediately sent a replacement. The second time a package of my cat's lickable treats was smushed and open when I got it and again I called chewy and they sent out an immediate replacement. Unlike other places I’ve dealt with chewy has been no- hassle and willing to go above and beyond. Their customer service reps are always extremely friendly and genuinely seem happy to help. I would recommend chewy for all your pet's needs!

I signed up at Chewy to save cost on ** allergy pills. Chewy sent into our vet for a prescription. My vet sent in the prescription, I later saw proof of the response. Chewy cancelled the order saying they never received the prescription and cancelled the order without informing me. My dog suffered bad allergies for a week. I ended up ordering them from my vet. It was filled in one day. Not a good way to run a company. A good thing it wasn't serious medication.

I have been dealing with Chewy for years. Recently, I needed a prescription for a medication to treat a bronchial condition for my dog. I bought ** 2.5mg for 28 pills. They charged me $110.00. I googled the medication after I received their shipment and was astonished that I goal obtain it locally for $21.00. I called them and complained to a pharmacy supervisor and found that they could care less. Stating that they don't match prices. This is astonishing. I advise anyone who needs a pharmaceutical for their pet, to google the medication and buy it elsewhere. Their price difference was unconscionable as was their indifference.

I've never experienced such a quick customer service call in my life. I mean I've never not been on hold but the phone rang twice and I got to speak to a real person. They were so helpful, clear about the issue I was having and worked diligently to resolve my issue and get my order replaced for me. I hope that never changes.

I used to order everything pets from here ($1k-2k year spending). They used to be very good and reliable. Recently, my order came with multiple problems:
- They gave a $30 gift card as a promotion, when this item was out of stock, then they took back the $30 gift card.
- 1 other item was missing from the order.
When I chatted with customer service, their first agent ignored me for 15 minutes. As in, picked up my request, then.. nothing for 15 minutes. I then called them. Their phone agent was nice but only sent me the missing item, not the gift card, did not apologize that their technology messed up leading to me losing the gift card AND not having my pee pads. I decided that - well, if my annual business didn't matter to them - I might as well go to a local pet store with identical prices (no missing pee pads here!) and who actually keep up their agreements/deals. Losing a customer for life over $30 is their problem.

I have done everything I can to try to get my packages delivered properly, instead they keep putting them behind the front door to my condo building making it difficult for my elderly neighbor to get in and out of the building. I was a loyal customer of Chewy for years; in fact, so loyal that I actually bought their stock. Lately their delivery times have been ridiculously long and unreliable, sometimes upward of a week. Since they tout 1-3 delivery, and since this has happened to me multiple times, this is nothing short of false advertising. Moreover, their prices have become the highest of every supplier. I changed vendors. No more orders for Chewy from me. Oh, and I sold the stock.

I have been a Chewy customer for 6 or so years. I have always had great experiences working with them. I recently had an order shipped to my old address by my mistake. I contacted Chewy to see if it was returned. It was not returned BUT the Chewy replaced the order with no charge! When they asked if I wanted a replacement order I figured they would recharge me, understandably, it was my mistake. But they changed my address, reordered my items, and sent them on their way. Great company.

I’ve been using Chewy for many many years. I’ve had multiple dogs for many years and many with health issues so I use it for both pharmacy and food. I recently had an experience with insulin, having two diabetic dogs. When I placed the order I easily had enough insulin to get me through to the following week and placed the order for two vials on a Thursday morning. By Saturday I checked for an update only to find out that it was still pending shipment. Called Chewy and was told that they were still waiting the vets response. The customer service rep just said sorry, but there was really nothing he can do and that I should hopefully have my order within about five days. Thank goodness I did have enough insulin for a bit or my dogs would’ve been dead within five days!
Fast forward to Monday morning. Contacted my vet who has proof they have already faxed back for both dogs twice! Contact Chewy again he says now they finally have received it. I’ll get it out but goes through FedEx and it will still take another few days for me to get this. I also noticed that all of a sudden with these orders the price is going up again. No notification whatsoever. And because it won’t be here for a bit, I know I have to go to my vet spend even more money to get an extra vial at the vets ridiculously high prices. All I get from Chewy is we’re sorry. I used to really love Chewy but not anymore.

I have been using Chewy.com for a few years now, but they are very inconsistent in terms of delivery dates/times. Some much so, that I am unsure when their products will be on the doorstep. We prefer to have our dog food delivered, as we are both working, but even with the auto-ship option we find that we will either have a paucity or an overabundance of the product no matter how carefully we manage our auto-ship plan. Perhaps it's a supply chain issue, or it is poor internal communication, still we are having serious problems. As a result, we are looking into other vendors for our pet food delivery options other than just Chewy.

My dog, Daisy, recently passed away. I spoke to La Kenya in Customer Service to ask how I could return the dog food I had recently ordered. La Kenya gave me a credit and told me not to worry about it. About a day later I received flowers from La Kenya and the Chewy Family. I was very pleasantly surprised! I have a 7 month old kitten. I put an order in for revolution plus flea treatment for cats under 5.5 lbs. The order was placed in January. I didn’t receive it till March. When I placed the order my kitten was 5 pounds. She now weighs 12 lbs, I asked to exchange the product for one for her weight and was told they can not exchange it so I asked to return it and he refused. When I told him, "My cat is double the weight. What am I supposed to do with it," he told me to donate or dispose of it. So basically throw away the $65.43 I spent. Another issue I had when I placed the order I was charged $48.58. Without my approval or authorization Chewy charged me $65.43. I will never use chewy again. Back to Amazon I go where my packages are delivered in 2 days not months.

Order prescription food for my dog, however order canceled. It is okay, order second time food for my dog. Food is delivered and late for week, because staff cancelled order, not because delivery service working bad. Now this happened again. My spouse travel with my dog to my daughter house and stay there in California second months and I do make food order for dog to my spouse house. Order canceled, it is okay. I call to the company and they agreed make delivery to California, and all this happens in Wednesday, and Thursday I have second conversation with staff about canceling the order. Humiliation go upfront this company.
My spouse call me and question where the order delivery to her? Surprise, Friday order canceled again. Order must be delivered Friday, however Friday they canceled this order. This company fighting with dogs, fighting with human, humiliating family and destroying USA. I'm amazed. I just opened the most amazingly kind gift from Chewy.com, animal product company. They sent me a painted picture of my dog. I cannot believe how real it looks and what a nice job they did. More importantly, I truly can't believe they did this as a gift and surprise to me. They chose (out of 5 animals) my favorite one (I know moms aren't supposed to have favorites but she is one of a kind) of my miniature schnauzer, Kyla, and given she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure July 2022, I know I will treasure it forever. Their portrayal of her is truly beautiful and it is one of my favorite pictures of her. A few months ago, they also sent me flowers and a card after I mentioned my bird died. Unbelievably kind company who will continue to get my business forever as I will always have at least one animal in my life.

I am able to get all of our pet's needs. It helps me a lot to order online. If there is an issue Chewy.com fixes it. I feel like they care about my purchases but also my pets. That’s hard to do electronically and they have found a way to make sure my cat family is taken care of. Doesn’t matter what age my pet is. I know I can get help I need through chewy.com. I have been a Chewy customer for several years. They provide excellent service, their website is easy to use and their deliveries are always on time. Two weeks ago I had to put my dog to sleep and needed to adjust my dog food delivery. I called Chewy, spoke with Scott and explained my situation. Scott had the names of my two dogs and. I guess, by the age, guessed which one had passed away. Scott immediately expressed his condolences and then today, I received a dozen roses with a note again expressing condolences. This company should have classes for other companies teaching customer service. I'll have to write another review on their excellent products along with comparable prices.

I ordered flea medication from Chewy.com for my Bengal cat in October. Over a 3 month period my cat lost 70% of her hair due to this medication, and also peeing on my couch several times during the times while I was medicating her. Once I stopped the flea medication her hair is now growing back. I spoke to a representative at Chewy.com and put me through to the Pharmacy for a refund. The tonality of the conversation showed me they have no consideration for my Bengal cat because of their 30 day return policy. Although the cat hair gradually increase loss over the 3 month period and peeing on my sofa.
The Pharmacy offered me a 10% discount on my next purchase. Wow are you serious. Unbelievable. Even though I’m stuck with half the Vials which I paid around $140 for a packet of 6. Now I’m left with fixing my problem and a unhappy Bengal, who lost all her winter coat during this time, having to keep the house continuously warm so she wouldn’t cry and meow all the time. Thanks a bunch.

We have about 5 cats and 3 dogs in our house, so we have been using Chewy.com for a few years. It was OK until recently. They not only provided bad ordering experience but also worst customer service. They set up auto ship item in my account without my approval. When I checked my account recently and I noticed that I didn't receive this items from them for two auto shipments, yet they charged my credit card. When I called the customer service, one of them put me on hold for 30 minutes, the other one is extremely rude and told me the items were received by me with my signatures. The way they treat their customers is so bad which is unbelievable. As customer service, they can make you feel like they rob your money and it's your fault. The solution is no more purchase from them. Be aware of this company, all my fellow pet lovers...

Bought stuff from Chewy before. Needed some diapers for my 17 yr old adopted "son". Ordered from them. Received the package and didn't get to open it. My dearest "son" had to be put to sleep. I called Chewy to get a return label. The lady on the phone asked me what happened and I told her. After telling me how sorry she was, she then said that she would refund my money and donate the diapers. I never dealt with a company like this, ever. I've used Chewy for years off and on with different pets and it was cost effective and convenient. BUT - For the last year I started using Chewy again for my dogs food, treats and toys. Their shipping is ATROCIOUS!!! I feed Fresh Pet food and treats to my dog. This brand has to be and stay refrigerated!. I signed up for Auto Ship which was a nightmare in and of itself. The food is supposed to be shipped and guaranteed to be kept cold! NOT the case! Every shipment has been thawed and exposed to outside Temps for long periods and we live in SE Florida! It takes so long to get delivered that the dry ice is evaporated therefore the food and treats have been thawed and exposed to high outside Temps therefore soured and inedible! It's a complete waste!
The Fresh Pet turkey bacon is dried out and disgusting, the food soured. Trying to get a hold of someone is a complete joke. The times I've ordered outfits, toys and other misc items the experience is fine, of course those items don't need to be kept cold. I can only imagine what it would be like with medications!!!! They assure that the shipping will be quick and food kept at ideal temps - BAHAHA! DOESN'T HAPPEN! wasted food and wasted money, literally hundreds of dollars and no customer service to help! I'm done, Amazon is better! Never an issue there.

Been using Chewy.com for many years. At the beginning, there were no issues. Now, it’s ridiculous. Have an auto ship and go thru the same garbage each month with their “sir head” customer service girls! Keeps reactivating old email accounts and sending auto ships out on inactive accounts. Doc months ago, they charged my credit card for someone else‘s order and sent over $400 worth of products to someone else at an entirely different account! Watch out for this company; your financial and personal info are not safe!
Their pharmacy is even worse! Have only one prescription on my account and every month, it seems to disappear! I spend an average of 45 minutes a month on the phone with these ridiculous people. Their customer service personnel are complete idiots. All they can say is “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” I think the word sorry is embedded in their heads like a robot. I’m going to go with Amazon for my dog food. They have the exact same products, with the same auto ship discount. Frankly, it’s not worth the aggravation that doing business with Chewy has caused.

I've been shopping with Chewy for about a year and a half and have always been happy with the products and prices. A few months ago, I purchased a supplement for my kitten that was reported to help with his respiratory issues. Point being, it didn't help him any so I posted a review stating I didn't see any improvements.
I wake up this morning to an email from Chewy saying, "I recently read your review of the Vetoquinol Viralys Gel Immune Supplement for Cats and wanted to reach out to you. I'm so sorry that the supplement wasn't quite working for you as you hoped. Rest assured, I've processed a refund for $22.34 which will post to cat Mastercard ending in -**** within the next 3-5 business days. Instead of shipping anything back to us, in this case we ask if you would please donate this to a local shelter, rescue or friend in need so that way a down on their luck cat can have a brighter day. ". I never asked or expected this, so I was very amazed. Chewy's customer service truly stands out to any I've ever encountered. Thank you Chewy and Megan K. I have already submitted a complaint and 2 requests for my so called "delivered" package to be actually delivered to me. I am even setup for automatic deliveries yet I am still waiting over 6 weeks to get my kitty litter! I see that the information in Chewy's system now says that it in transit again after showing delivered! Despite this ongoing matter still nobody has bothered to contact me back regarding this. Also, my past correspondence is nowhere to be found in my account! I signed up for auto ship with Chewy and they missed even their 1st automatic delivery. This is all very concerning for me so I asked that a manager contact me back regarding this but no one has. I ordered this 8 weeks ago! C'mon. Is this what we can expect from doing business with Chewy? I certainly hope not!.

I have been a customer of Chewy.com for some time and have my order set on autoship with payment authorized. Today I get an email letting me know that per that autoship order has been paid for in full through the payment source. Just a few minutes later after taking money I get a notification saying they will NOT ship out my order till I call in and verify information. Why do they need to verify information AFTER AUTHORIZING THE CHARGE FIRST? Seems if there was any security concern you wouldn't process the payment. Nope, that's not how this company operates. Take money first then put order on hold? I have cancelled the order, the autoship and the account itself.

After being a loyal Chewy.com customer for a number of years, I can't believe the poor customer service that I got. I placed an order for dog food, cat food and a few odd items for both...My order was a bit larger than normal, but I needed the items for my critters at home. Normally I get an email once the order is placed confirming what I have ordered and the total amount for the order. Not this time, and no email suggesting that I needed to contact Chewy in order to facilitate my order's delivery. So I checked my order online at my Chewy account and checked on my credit card. My order amount showed as Pending on my credit card, posted pending the day of the order. Three days after my order was placed, it was showing Preparing to Ship. Still no order confirmation email, so I thought I would do an online chat with a rep. That is where I learn that they need me to call to provide verification. Okay, why?
I have been a Chewy customer for years, and on top Got a really nice rep, Amber, who was able to look up my account, but she was not able to tell me why I need to be verified. There was no visible red flag on their end that she could tell me, just that I must have hit one of their new security parameters. She tells me no problem, she can cancel my order and then reorder it...Again, why should I have to do that? I told her, this will only extend the time frame for receiving my order, and I wouldn't feel comfortable giving my credit card information a second time for the same order. (Note: I have had past issues with my credit cards when I placed orders with Chewy and was told not to leave my credit card information on their website for future orders, so I delete it once the order is placed.)
Needless to say, I did cancel this order and will not order from Chewy again. I used to like ordering from them, but over the last 2 years, I have had too many issues. Amazingly enough, while I was on the phone talking to the customer service rep, Chewy sent an email to me that stated that my order was going to be delayed. Unfortunately, neither the rep nor I could see that before I cancelled the order.

Seems for a company this large that should be an option particularly when they drop the ball. I ordered my dog's prescription food on 12/31 and 1/3. I entered my updated credit card information, received confirmation of the orders and expected it to be here already. The 12/31 order was cancelled by Chewy.com and I didn't even a courtesy text or email notifying me of such. I had to find out when I went online and found it had been cancelled. I reordered again on the 3rd, again updating my credit card information and again I got a confirmation of the order. It was supposed to have been here yesterday, but instead I get an email at 10:15 last night stating it was also cancelled.
I called Chewy today and find out that their system blocked my update of my card. Their CSRs treated this like no big deal, no sense of urgency and I'll get his food in 3-5 business days, so maybe 12 days after I ordered it originally. I am a long-time customer and it seems that Chewy no longer sees customer loyalty as important and are only looking out for the almighty dollar.

Surprisingly poor customer service (previously I'd been happy with it). I ordered some dog kibble, but the pull tab on the bag was defective. I had to mangle the bag to get it open, so the food could not be kept airtight--a big issue since my dog won't eat stale kibble. I called to ask for an airtight bag or container (not even a replacement for the dog food!), but they said I'd have to pay for it, despite the fact that the packaging was defective. Not only did the Chewy customer service people I talked to fail to address my problem, but they didn't even seem to care that they couldn't address it! I called twice (once to see if the problem could be addressed, and a second time to report that my review on their website wasn't being posted; it wasn't accepted any of the times I tried to post it, despite the fact that it met their terms and conditions). I even spoke to a supervisor to no avail. Taking my business elsewhere.

I stopped using Chewy before as they could not meet their estimated shipping dates. Decided to try them again but 2 years later and the shipping problems still exist. Their website show 1-3 day shipping but after ordering the product I check on the status 2 days later to find estimated delivery is another 5 days so while they say 1-3 days shipping guess that is 1-3 days to leave the warehouse not delivery. At least at brick and mortar can pick the product up the same day not pay for it then wait 7 days or more. Guess they are still working on getting deliveries as promised. They used to be able to keep their commitments but not any more. I may try again in another 2-3 years to see if they have gotten their act together but sure do miss the original Chewy when they kept their commitments.

I was out of state needing a refill for my dog for Heart Worm Prescription. I've used Chewy in the past, had no problems. This company is really gone downhill. Several emails and several phone calls to this company and I told them that I needed it right away. No one told me that the right way is to get a prescription from me sent to them. Now my dog is going to go without heartworm because they need it sooner than I'm going to get it. Stay away from this company. They don't know what they're doing any longer and your pet is going to pay the price

With 3 fur babies in our home, Chewy saved us so many times with quick service and great prices. Always willing and able to resolve any issue with product or purchases. Twice in the past 10 months we have lost one of our fur babies. Rosie, our lover girl and Link who was one month from 18 years old. Today, I received roses from Chewy in response to my loss. This company knows how much fur babies (and others) mean to us. As long as I have pets of any kind I will continue to use Chewy. Their support staff is great and will always strives to get an answer to any question I have ever asked. Thank you Chewy.

I received an order from Chewy for 24 large cans of dog food. 21 of the cans were severely dented but the box was undamaged. I used to order from Petco and they did this same thing. I switched to Chewy not knowing they were the same company. Their solution was to offer me a coupon on a future purchase. Why would I ever order from you again after you dumped the cans you couldn’t sell in the stores on me twice??

My dogs have specific dog food needs and rely on timely delivery of products. However, as of late, delivery has been poor. I am on automatic delivery every two weeks and the last two orders have been late. Don't rely on timely delivery of your pet food needs. Chewy's response is we are working on it. Working on it doesn't solve the problem that my pets are running out of food and I just can't run out and buy just any dog food. In addition, it is strongly recommended that you not switch dog food like this as it will cause problems with your pet's stomach. I am going to find another source for my pet needs.

Second order wound up with a delay with Fedex (only shipper offered) that resulted in having to make a replacement order. Chewy immediately refunded my money and told me to donate the food to an animal shelter. I had planned to do so but to have a company suggest donating while reimbursing their customers for their own errors is outstanding service. My husband and I ordered food and medication for our German Shepherd who had chronic renal disease. Several days from her end, we ordered a double harness. Unfortunately, the trajectory of her disease was so fast the double harness arrived the day she was euthanized. My husband contacted Chewy in hopes of returning the double harness as well as the unopened ** medication. Chewy told us not to return either and credited our account. A day later, flowers arrived with a sympathy note. We're so touched by Chewy's promptness and caring.

I'm not normally a caustic person, but in this case I will make an exception. Several months ago, I ordered a prescription per my vet's instructions, thinking it would help my dog's skin issues (as my vet had told me that it would). Ultimately, the prescription was found to have no effect, so I cancelled further shipments. I had received notifications which stated "Hey, we're prepping this for shipment, cancel if you don't want or need it!" followed by an email stating that "this has been shipped." Since the medication was ineffective, I cancelled future shipments on Chewy's own website, thinking that this was the end of the matter.
During the month of December 2022, all of this changed. I only got a notification of shipment, with no "tell us to cancel" email preceding it. I called the company to cancel, and the pharmacy technician, who shall remain nameless (HER NAME IS KELLY!) was one of the rudest, most condescending, disinterested, people that I have ever met. Her attitude is less one that should be expected from a customer service representative at a dog food company and more one that should be expected from a dispatcher at a waste collection agency.
I tell her that I had cancelled previous shipments and would like a refund. She asks, in not so many words, "why?" and responds by dismissing everything I just told her and acting as if I lack the standing necessary to speak to her. She proceeds to tell me that "if [she] were in [MY!] shoes (this is done in the kind of sing-songy, "you're an eight year old child and you need to be spoken to as if you can't tell the difference between up and down" tone that no adult would tolerate), she would be glad that someone bothered to help out!" She then tells me that "*If!* Chewy feels like cancelling the order like I asked, I *might* get a cancellation confirmation within 24 hours."
It's bad enough that I just spent thirty minutes on hold to talk to this person. I shouldn't have to stand for THAT. If there was something going on with her in her personal life that influenced her tone, she should have left that garbage at the door and not point it in the direction of customers. If she was sick of customers, she should have taken the rest of the day OFF. Again, if she was having a bad day and made a mature, effective, adult decision, none of this would ever have happened. I guess doing so is not an option.
This is a $75 medication that my dog doesn't need. It isn't cheap. The least that chewy's pharmacy could do is at least *act* like they want to try to help. Apparently that's too much to ask. Anyways, I hang up the phone, take a breath and call back to speak with a supervisor. THIS person tells me that the order was cancelled and that the money will be back on my card in 24 hours.
Fast forward to a day later, and I get an email that says that the order-which, again, I don't need because it won't, and hasn't, helped my dog-has SHIPPED. So! NO cancellation, no refund, no nothing. Everything I had been told was malarkey. Call the company back again TODAY, and NOW they tell me that the refund would be issued in FIVE days OF THE ORDER I CANT *USE* SHOWING UP AT MY HOUSE! So in other words, within ten to fifteen days (because it's the holidays and everything slows down), chewy might begin the refund process.
Moreover, UPS MIGHT accept a reroute order (but now we don't know if they will or not). If that (hopefully former) pharmacy technician had done her job properly beforehand, none of this would have happened. But nope! We can't do that, apparently. I certainly hope that she got fired from her job. The ONLY thing chewy did properly was to shut down my account like I had asked.

I've been using Chewy for a few years, they make my life easier. Recently, my vet clinic went to only online medication ordering. And their website didn't have some critical medications for our 16+ dog. I went to Chewy's, found them and ordered them. I received an email that it was delivered. Being the day before Thanksgiving, I hadn't opened the email until I realized I didn't have it. I called and spoke to their fabulous customer service and pharmacist. In passing, I said, the reason for my concern was I was having surgery and wanted everything ready.
They were kind, saying they wished me success, something people tell another in the situation. Here's the thing, in the mail a few days later, I received a thinking of you card. Plus they sent a new order of the needed medication - free. The Chewy's staff were all helpful and very kind. With the customer rep, I felt like I was talking to an old friend. The company's culture is rare and a gift to this frazzled dog mum.

We have done business with Chewy for some time as their products are excellent, customer service is outstanding, and prices are very competitive. We recently had to have our longtime dog Maggie, put to sleep. We received an unexpected box from Chewy. It contained a dozen beautiful roses with a note offering comfort to us for our loss of Maggie. What an amazing gesture!

Be mindful of fraud flags from this site as they will stop your purchase and you'll be in for a fun ride of customer service reps treating you on the phone as if you are a liar or a thief. Ordered 2 beds for our pooch and we were expecting they would come today. I found an email this morning, saying the account needed verification. Valid. The account was in my name, pay with my husband's card. I called, and they asked me to please ask my husband to call, to verify. He did, they told him everything was good and the order would be dispatched.
But 20 mins ago, I found another email saying the billing address was not verified. I phoned again. They said that nobody had called, and there was no record of my husband's call. Now, I work in the industry, and I understand fraud flags, as a customer, to some degree I welcome them. But to not even try to own up to the company's mistakes and instead treat us like thieves I will not tolerate. Their voice switched immediately from nice, to unwelcome.
I could have done without this horrible experience today. I think it's great you prevent fraudulent activity, but you could try to use the calls from all these unverified customers, to work with your Customer Service Reps in training on how to handle these situations. There are ways to verify that people's stories are valid and real. Not everyone on the internet is out for robbing others and you could pick up real potential customers, like us, instead of deterring us.

I have ordered from Chewy for about 6 months. They continue to use FedEx for delivery services, which is horrible. Our estimated delivery was on Friday (no delivery) spoke with Chewy and FedEx both stated that it would be delivered next day. I called them a few times on Saturday to check delivery status and they said it would be delivered by end of day. Of it wasn’t. The excuses were “bad weather in Austell, GA” **, I was at work in Austell and it wasn’t a raindrop. I’ll be spending my money at Pet Smart as long as Chewy uses FedEx for their delivery!!!

Placed an order on 11/30/2022 for bags of dry dog food for a rescue I support who was critically low on food. Received an email that same night that I needed to call customer service to confirm order details. Called immediately and confirmed then advised an email with shipping info would be received. On 12/02 after receiving no email I contacted customer service via email and was told the order was being held and I needed to contact them by phone to confirm the order details again...Cancelled the order...They will not be receiving my business.

Have had many, many great experiences with this company. If you have an issue with an order, they are more than happy to fix it. Prices are at least equal to, or usually cheaper (especially for big items) than you can find locally and you can stay home to shop! As far as 1-3 day shipping, that is usually the case. However, once it leaves their facility, they can't control it. If it's running late, they let you know. I had one issue with them years ago regarding a prescription. So, if you are wanting to start your pets' meds thru them, put in the order EARLY and keep on top of it. I now get my goat's meds thru them and have no issues.

I was notified of an order for $256 dollars that I did not make. My account was hacked on their website and someone made this order. The products are all coming in different shipments and I have to wait for all, send them back and wait for a refund on products I didn't order. My bank account was hit for charges because PayPal was the primary payment set up. PayPal was no help and now Chewy isn't much better. My money is tied up at Christmas time and they were of little help. I will never order from Chewy again, and would suggest anyone considering doing business with them that their site is not very secure and their customer service is terrible. I spoke with 3 different people with little result.

Packages arrived 2 days later than initially reported. After day 1, had to make a special trip out at night because relied on their misinformation and then it happened again the next day. They cost me time and extra money and then offer a $15 credit for next purchase. I will not make any further purchases with them and have closed our account.

I was extremely touched to open a surprise box from Chewy. They sent a dozen beautiful roses after I called them to close my mom's account after she passed. Notifying banks and most other companies about Mom's passing was heartless and frustrating. However, this gesture lets you know there are still good people in the world, and you are not alone. I thought I was getting my Dog Food and Toys in 3 days as stated on website. It didn't even schedule to ship until 2-3 days after order was put in (I ordered at night). It was then scheduled to be delivered a week later .. I Needed dog food before the next week. I could have went elsewhere had I known the Truth. Now, you know. I do not have a problem with the products, just the Deceptive Delivery Time. Deceptive Shipping time .. Ordered on night of 19th. Label Created 11/20/22. Anticipated ship date 11/22/22. I placed an order with Chewy on November 13 because of the great reviews. I received a thank you email and then an email wanting me to call and verify my credit card. On November 15, I received an email saying the order was delayed. The order was for an automatic litter box, water and food dispenser for our cat to use while we are out of town for Thanksgiving. On November 16, I get an email wanting me to review the experience. I called on November 17 to check on the order and was told that it was under a "security block". She asked if I had called about the order before and I advised her of the communications. She told me that she would request that they release the order. I canceled the order and drove to Petco. This is a litter box...not prescriptions or government secrets. Very disappointing to be treated like a thief. Petco will take our money.

I unfortunately had to put my 14 year old dog to sleep and had called to see if I could return a case of unopened canned dog food. They refunded the purchase price and I was told that it wasn't necessary to mail it back and that I could donate it to a shelter or do whatever I wanted with it. The next day I got a knock on my door and when I opened it, there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a handwritten card expressing sympathy for my loss! This company really does care and goes way beyond. I will definitely continue to do business with them in the future!

My dog's prescription was ignored. I called to check the following day and they said it was out of stock, then said it wasn't, then said they would call and get vet approval right away. They never called the vet. I had to call again later in the day to check and was told vet was never called and that they needed to cancel order to restart it because it was still showing out of stock even though it wasn't. I was ok with this if they agreed to expedite shipping since we already lost 2 days due to their error and my dog is dying in her first time battling fleas and I need the meds asap. They said no. They could not promise expedited shipping and would not accommodate in any other way. They canceled order. I had to find new vendor. I stayed completely on top of this and wouldn't have found out the order was being ignored if I didn't call every day since placing the order, only to have it not fulfilled. They ignored the request and did not offer to expedite shipping to make up for the time they lost while my dog suffers.

I placed an order online. Shortly after, I received an email from Chewy that my order was cancelled. No explanation was given. I called in and spoke with customer service. She did not offer an explanation either. I reordered with her. She got my order wrong which I found out after the order shipped. I am very dissatisfied with what happened and how customer service dealt with this problem. I’m disappointed that my order was changed even though I made clear what I wanted and my cancelled order was there as reference. I don’t see myself ordering from Chewy again. And this was my first ever order experience on Chewy. And finally, their survey algorithms don’t allow me to post this on their site even though they sent the survey request to me. It is clear to me how they treat their customers.

After the Covid shortages I started using Chewy to buy my dog food since they were one of the companies selling it. I have had nothing by excellent customer service and shipping times. Recently I messed up and was short on dog food. I ordered it through my chewy app and it arrived the next day.

We received the goody box as a gift for our 8 month old toy Aussiedoodle puppy. In less than 24 hours, she chewed a hole in the tug rope. Upon examination, the material was very thin and the seam not well sewn. When I contacted Chewy customer service, they were apologetic, but would not replace the item because it was part of a box. She is also not fond of the pumpkin broth at all and dumped her food bowl when I poured a little on. I've not previously done business with Chewy.com and am doubtful I will in the future.

I then contacted their pharmacy department explaining my cat needed her medication and asked what the hold-up was and sent a picture of the prescription. Well, that is when they started to tell me that the inability to get approval was MY FAULT because I put in the wrong clinic information.
I mean I know where I took my cat for care but since the prescribing vet works out of other clinics and the prescription had a different address on it I must not have realized I took her to a different clinic. Instead of apologizing for the constant (and I have all of my emails to show this) berating of my intelligence, they continue to tell me I am in the wrong and they will fill the order in 7-10 days instead of what I am asking and getting the NEEDED medication to me ASAP. I would cancel the order and start over with 1800PetMeds but I cannot have any more delays, however I will not be returning. I chose Chewy because of reviews I read, but I have no idea what company those reviews were actually talking about.

The customer service at Chewy.com is second to none. They go above and beyond when it comes to helping and pleasing customers. I even wrote a review about a food that my cat didn't like, and I didn't expect anything out of it since my cat is extremely picky. They reached out to me after reading my review and refunded my money!! As well as offering free shipping on the next order!
Out of the years that I've been ordering from them, I've had only one occasion where I received the wrong product, and they shipped the correct food ASAP without me having to send the other back. That was last year. They have also include free shipping for orders $35 and you get your products within a few days thru FedEx so you're able to track exactly where it is and set up alerts. Never have I gotten this type of service from Petco or PetSmart.

The pharmacy consists of distracted employees working at home. They aren’t very bright or capable. After months of trying to get one medication sent regularly in a timely manner, I gave up. Some days I called them 4 times. They just don’t listen. They keep using a “portal” which my vet doesn’t use. They cannot send a fax to the correct number. They lied several times and say it was resent when it wasn’t. They’re lazy and feign interest. Different employee every time. They slur their names so it’s impossible to know who you are counting on.
Chewy failed our family dog two out of four months we used their service. It must be a miserable job there. A temporary gig at best. Probably a few criminals who cannot work anywhere publicly. Don’t believe the phony “caring” voice on the phone. It’s scripted. Don’t let your doggo eat the cheap wheat laden biscuit they’ll send either!

I have been a loyal Chewy customer since 2015. I love their auto ship feature because we get busy with life/work and forget to order or pick up dog/cat food at retail. I receive notification that order is in process to ship so in case you need to change up dates. It’s convenient and the online customer service is prompt and they go above and beyond to make their customer pawsitively happy. They quickly handled an adjustment to my recent order cost due to my misunderstanding of a promotion. I am very thankful for their service in all the above ways they service their customers. Thank you Kaila M. (Customer service) for the pawsome assistance! Products are also in great condition when delivered. Never had any issues.

I placed an order with Chewy in September. I paid nearly $140. It was my first time ordering with them. I expected a far better experience with them because they come recommended. Instead, what I got was ripped off. They took the $140 from my bank account, cancelled my order then never returned the money into my bank account. In that exact order! When I called them and asked them about it, they gave me the run around that the money was never removed from my account because they cancelled my order. I keep a very close eye on my balance, poor people have to do that so they know. I watched my account very closely. That $140 was never returned to the bank. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!

I recently bought dog food and unfortunately my dog passed away before I could even open it. I contacted Chewy and asked to return it and they immediately refunded my money, expressed their condolences in a warm way, and told me to donate it to whomever I wanted to. I thought this was amazing. THEN, I just received flowers with a beautiful note expressing their condolences. This is so far above and beyond any customer service I have ever experienced from pretty much any company. I appreciate this kindness and customer outreach beyond any words. This is A+++ customer service and a really great business model. Customers will remember this treatment. I most certainly will. Thank you Chewy!

These companies push you to auto ship but prescriptions change and if it happens before you get a chance to cancel l you can be stuck holding the bag on some very expensive prescriptions and in my case I was happy that they told me they canceled it but it still arrived anyway. AND then I was told that only the authorship was canceled and not the outgoing order. But I know what I heard.

I used Chewy for years and never had an issue. Placed an order for a dog's prescriptions eight days ago. This is for a life threatening condition. It has never taken more than 5 days prior. Today on the web site I found my prescriptions have been cancelled. They lied and said they called me and also e-mailed me. The vet didn't fill it for the first day so instead of calling me they cancelled it. Until today the order status was "shipping in two business days". My dog has been without the meds for five days now. So done.

I placed an order through Chewy.com for my lizards. I received confirmation on the order, but the next day I received an email that I need to call and verify information with them. After making the call and verifying everything, I was told they will ship the order. After waiting a few more days, I looked into the order and I was told it was cancelled, not shipped. I emailed their support, explaining the whole process I went through, looking for insight and help on the issue. Their response was that I need to contact support to verify my information. Clearly ignoring the details of my email, they have shown they don't care about the details, or the small things. Terrible reliability.

My little 2-year-old Shih Tzu mix stopped drinking water. It was a Sunday and I decided to use the Vet Chat at Chewy to get some advice. The website said it was "free if you use auto-ship" which I did so I signed up. The "vet" that came on was totally useless and did NOTHING but send me links for toys and repeat over and over "Awww...poor Charlie". After 20 minutes of trying to get a useful comment out of this little girl I disconnected and was grateful I didn't have to pay for that nonsense. I was wrong...I was immediately charged $14.99 for nothing but chatting with an obvious nonmedical person. Chewy refused to refund my money and now I have to open a case with Paypal. I know we live in a world of no customer service anymore but this was ridiculous!

I have never experienced so much caring and consideration from a company in my entire life. It was an unexpected kindness when two different customer service representatives reached out to me in two separate emails to express their condolence for the loss of my dear sweet dog, Amelie. But they didn't stop there. A couple days later, a large box was delivered to my doorstep. When I opened the box, I felt stunned and shocked. Inside was a bouquet of beautiful roses with a note that read: "Losing such a big part of your family is never easy. We're thinking of you in this difficult time. Sending you love. Erika and Your Chewy Family"
Yes, it brought tears to my eyes and it still does.
