I have one tiny dog. For whatever system error Chewy has send me four boxes of Heartworm at $50.00 each and refuses to give me credit back even though the boxes are not opened or touched. Customer service guy was beyond rude b.

Chewy has made my entire family smile in a very sad time! We recently had to put our loving dog of 15 years down. It was so heartbreaking yet we knew it was time as her system was shutting down quickly. We had a full 37.5 bag of dog food that was part of the autoship program delivered 4 weeks prior. We had not opened it and decided to call Chewy to see if it could be returned. Catherine answered and expressed sincere compassion for our loss. She refunded the full price of the food and asked that we kindly take the food to a local shelter where it could help other dogs. She quickly managed the call and wowed us in a time of sadness.
The very next day a delivery service arrived at our door to give us an unexpected beautiful bouquet of flowers. The flowers were from Chewy!! The card attached was a beautiful expression of condolences for our loss signed from Catherine and your Chewy Family! I cannot express how touched and blown away we were by the incredibly loving gesture from Catherine, a wonderful ambassador of Chewy; and the company itself for promoting such outstanding caring, personal service. We liked Chewy before and are now simply over the moon impressed and grateful. Thank you, Chewy, we never expected this, you've made customers for life.

I very rarely write reviews about anything but the dealings I had with Chewy were so great I absolutely had to let people know it was like. It was 30 years ago when people really cared about their customers. I tried them for the first time this month because I could get my dogs dog food in a larger bag for a similar price to Amazon where I usually go, well the delivery on FedEx part got really messed up every day for a week, it said it was out for delivery but it never came, I finally called to complain.
Here is the result first Chewy sent me a complete second package, both my dogs food and poddy pads free of charge. Then gave me a $20 gift card toward my next purchase. This would be far more than most would do but 2 days later I received a call I initiated by them, the manager followed up, saw that the package was still not delivered so she gave me a complete refund so I could go get food for my dog. You see I have a fixed income. I had spent all I had, this company and their employees cared more about me and the wellbeing of my dog than making a buck. It was the most unbelievable experience of my life and can guarantee I will never use another company for anything I ever need for Pugsley my dog ever again. Thank you Chewy for actually caring about your customers, it really matters to me.

Chewy has given me excellent service. My dog was receiving messages for seizures from Chewy pharmacy. She passed away Dec. 3rd. Sarah, rep, sent me flowers recognizing Bonitas passing. Chewy is a great company and family. Love you all. Thank you for everything.

Very unhappy with the customer service I experienced today. I have a monthly autoship with food and treats. They have a promo code to use this month and guess what. You need to spend an additional $100 to get the discount. They won’t work with you either. So from a monthly service to not one at all. I’d look elsewhere where.

We lost a beloved member of our family yesterday. Our leopard gecko Mushu. Anyone who knows anything about lizards or even reptiles knows all about the amount of bulbs we go through. I’d bought several bulbs back in August and with him being gone now, I’d reach out to Chewy.com to see if it was too late to return them as we no longer needed them. The representative not only ask how our family was doing but ask about our other fur babies as well. Without any questions she immediately refunded me the full amount spent and ask that we just donate our unused product. While it was just a small act it meant so much. I will 100% be using them in the future and telling all my friends and family about them. Thank you Chewy for making this awful time just a little brighter.

I have always been a Chewy fan, but this last experience makes me love them even more!! I was having difficulty with a Prescription that I mailed (The post office took 2 weeks to deliver a priority mail letter to Chewy). I contacted the Pharmacy and spoke with a friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful Pharmacy tech. Chewy did everything they could to expedite the shipment of my dog medicine. They actually care about their customers and their pets.

On November 29th we placed an order with Chewy for cat food using the promo code "Purina" for a $40 gift card when you order $100 worth of purina products. I qualified for the offer and my confirmation confirmed it. We received an email stating they couldn't ship the order because we used a promotion that we weren't qualified for. That was for an extra percentage off of the autoship. Now it had been quite a while since we ordered from anything from Chewy (over a year) so I don't recall if we ever did that promotion. But I quickly replied to the email and said that if we weren't qualified for it that was fine, and to take that discount off. But as long as the gift card of $40 still applied, then please ship the order. If not, then cancel it.
I received another email to call them, which we did. We spoke to a young lady (Amanda?) who told us they just needed verification of our information, which we did, and the items were shipped. We received the items, but no gift card showed in our account. We called today and spoke with Natasha, who said we didn't qualify for the promotions, but they took $20 off. I said we were told we were receiving the $40 gift card and I was specific in saying that if we weren't getting that then to cancel the order. She wasn't very friendly or helpful so I asked for a supervisor.
This supervisor said that there were multiple accounts associated with our address.. they didn't realize there was more than 1 apartment here, and there is only 1 account for our apartment., which she seemd to agree with. She also said that my wife also has an account. After some searching on our part we found my wife's account that had 1 order sent to our previous address in 2018. Now we are in our 70's and I guess that one order all those years ago must have slipped our minds... Still, the promotion for $40 off of $100 was a Black Friday special for everyone, and had nothing to do with previous orders.
If they were not honoring the gift card the order should have been cancelled as I requested. Not shipped and then charged to my card. I told her to just send a return label to let me return it, it's not worth the trouble. So that's what she did, also stating I will get my refund when they confirm the items in the return. I have videod repacking the items as I don't trust Chewy to truthfully refund me as promised. What kind of company is Chewy to give confirmation of an amount and gift card then not deliver as promised?
In the end, a company needs to charge, and deliver, exactly what they state they will. They cannot change their minds and charge what they want. ESPECIALLY when it is specifically communicated to them to cancel the order if the cost and items will not be as stated. I am a 76 year old disabled Vietnam veteran on a very fixed income and don't like having surprise costs and not receive savings that were promised to me. This order was made specifically for the savings. Shame on you Chewy!

We’ve had 3 dogs over the years and we used Chewy auto ship to help save money on the special food and treats my dogs required. Ordering and managing auto shipments was very easy. A couple of days ago I received a shipment of a case of 12 cans of dog food that I forgot to cancel after my dog had passed with cancer. I called Chewy spoke to a wonderful representative named Jaime and they refunded us and asked us to donate the dog food to a local shelter instead of returning it. Today we received a beautiful flower arrangement with condolences on losing our beloved dog Bandit. As he was the last of our pets, we will not be needing Chewy until hopefully one day after our hearts have healed we will once again have a pet and then we will most definitely use Chewy again

I always get orders fast after ordering. But a autoship order that started in Mt. Juliet TN was packaged terrible! The box wasn't pushed together before taping it. There was a 4 inch gap, taped with clear tape. You could see everything in the box. I just knew half the stuff wasn't in it. Also, a wrong flavor of dog food was sent. But, I called Chewy, they straightened it out, I didn't have to send it back, they are sending the one I ordered. I'm giving the one I got to my nephew's dog, my dog was allergic to it. But all in all everything turned out well except the poor boxing up of the product, which was the only time that's happened.

They're the best in every regard. We love our pets and when one passed Chewy sent flowers which we'll always remember. Over the years Chewy has assisted with products, food, medications, etc. Autoship is fantastic. A+++++ for Chewy!

For over 5 years I have been using Chewy. This month they didn’t sent my order because they have a backlog of Black Friday orders. Now I’ll spend 4 hours round trip to get the products that are shipped monthly. Don’t count on Chewy. I have cancelled their service.

My fiancé and I recently lost our dog Bear. Unfortunately we bought him food and treats prior to having to put him to sleep since that was a last minute heart breaking decision. We called Chewy and asked if we could return his food since we have no use for it. They gave us a 100% refund and told us to just donate it to the nearest animal shelter. And we just received these beautiful flowers from Rayla and the Chewy team. Thank you for your support in this difficult time. You guys will never lose me as a customer. Happy Holidays.

It is not often that I will give a company five stars but Chewy.com goes beyond expectation. Their customer service is probably the best I have ever dealt with. The prices are very affordable and lots of love goes out to Ryan a manager with Chewy who has helped me out a number of times.

In case you are on the fence or didn’t know, Chewy is an amazing company!!! When Cleo died they credited me back my last order of dog food and asked me to donate it to the cause of my choice (it went to help dogs in Asheville NC). Wow!!! Then they sent us a condolence card with a hand written note to not only our home, but also to the last place I had an order shipped while on vacation. On top of that we received a bouquet of roses from Chewy with another note. Today I logged into my account to order some cat food and noticed they had a section dedicated in “my pets” where you can go to visit memorialized pets. Gone but not forgotten. Wow Chewy, just wow!!! Makes me want to yell it in the streets that Chewy is an amazing company and gets how pets are our family. They have mastered customer service ♥️♥️♥️.

I purchased a name brand medication from Chewy, the small bottle was $80. Our kitten passed away when we were only halfway through the bottle and I reached out to see if I could have a partial refund to help with cremation costs. They gave me a FULL refund without hesitation and they also sent flowers to my door. Chewy is the best company out there and I’ve seen many others say the same.

This order is what they sent online. Charges were different and when calling customer service was called a liar. Some of what we ordered came with other things we didn’t order at all. Missing a whole box of Sheba cuts at 40.00 that was charged. And no 2 boxes of cat litter deodorizer that was charged. When called Chewy was called a liar as we're monthly customers and spend a lot for cat food every month. Will not be ordering again.

I have been a customer of Chewy for nearly a decade, never had an issue or needed to return anything. My items always arrived well packed and on time. My senior dog was recently diagnosed with cancer, passed away sooner than expected. I had just placed a big order with them a couple days prior, reached out to cancel the order, which had partially shipped. Not only did they provide a refund for everything, they sent flowers and card to my door the same day. I've really struggled to keep up with expenses but with the refund I was able to cover his after care. It was such a kind, unexpected gesture. I'm forever grateful. Our cat passed away last week and to our amazement, we received a package from Chewy which contained a sweet personalized sympathy card and a precious stone with her name on it. We used Chewy for our dogs' food and medicines. Their prices, delivery and customer service were always great. We had 2 rescue GSDs. Our Koda (11) suddenly became ill and passed in March 2024. Our other girl Zoya (also 11) had hip & knee issues due to bad breeding. We had her put down last week. I called Chewy to close our account. Maryrose was so helpful, kind & compassionate over the phone. Then on Monday I received flowers & a sympathy card from Chewy & Maryrose. I was amazed. I sent a quick thank you email to Chewy & they responded with an incredibly kind email. We will forever recommend Chewy to everyone, not just for their kindness but also their fantastic service.

A few days ago, I discovered that my senior cat, Smudge, liked the Sheba beef flavor pate. There was a 25% discount so I ordered 2 boxes, which are due to be delivered tomorrow. Unfortunately, Smudge suffered kidney failure over the weekend and I had to make the difficult decision to euthanize him, which was done today. I called Chewy to see if I could pay for shipping to return the product and was told, in no uncertain terms, would I have to do that. They immediately refunded my payment and asked that I donate the food. I cannot applaud Chewy enough for their policies regarding pet deaths and their concern and caring. Thank you! Mary S.

I placed an order 11/19/2024 and received an email that it had shipped within 4 hours of my order. Talk about impressive!! It was due via FedEx on the 21st but the date got bumped back by their carrier to the following day. I called Chewy when FedEx stopped updating their tracking as of 10:00 pm Friday night and still had not updated it on Sunday afternoon. Richard with Chewy agreed there was a issue with the carrier. At 2:10 pm yesterday he issued me a replacement order. Much to my surprise it arrived today at 1:38 pm. Thank you Richard and Chewy. I truly appreciate it.

They are scam artists. They send a $20 off coupon, but can't use it on anything because it says there are deals on pretty much everything already. The deals are actually regular prices raised and then they take off a few dollars which comes out to the regular price again. You cannot use the coupon along with a deal. Scum!!!!

Updated on 11/27/2024: As the day went on I realized I had not received any confirmations via email or any other communication. I called the vet to see if they received a request for the prescription and they had not. I called Chewy back yet again and found out the order still had not been processed. This was late in the day and literally had 30 minutes to get this resolved or we would have to wait yet another day for the medication. This rep was very helpful and she had the pharmacy call and verify the prescription verbally with my vet. During the call she let me know that chewy was very generously going to overnight the medication to me. However, because of the time difference it would not go out until the next day.
When I received the email confirmation of the shipment, imagine my surprise to find out not only was it not overnight but due to the Thanksgiving holiday my dog was going to have to wait an additional 3 days to have her medication. The only reason I ordered these meds from chewy.com is because they were compounded and I could not get them locally. In the meantime my dog has gotten sicker and sicker. I am extremely distressed and furious with a service that I received. You and your pet deserve better than dealing with this incompetence.
Original: This is a review for pharmacy/prescription services. BE AWARE--I placed an order on a Thursday for a medication my dog needs that is unavailable locally. There was an issue with the order that I immediately called and thought was corrected. On Monday, I had not received a notice that the medication was shipped, so I called. There was an issue with the order in their system, and I was not notified, as the helpful CSR on the line advised. If I had not called, the order would still be in limbo. Now I have to sit here and monitor my email to see if the prescription is filled today and shipped. In the meantime, my dog is suffering and in need of this medication. I can't help my dog. Chewy.com made me cry but in the most perfect way ever. I ordered Dasuquin joint health 84 chews for large dogs for my pup. Somehow my purchase was delivered to the wrong address and I was positive that I wouldn't be able to retrieve the product. I emailed Chewy and they were on it with a replacement order that day. Gosh. They apologized to me and they made it right. They told me to extend their sincerest apologies to Ava, for the delay in her package. Wow. No other company has ever apologized to my pup before. This is exactly why I shop with Chewy. They know that she is not just a "dog" but is a family member.
They are the best company for delivery of all my pups needs which are many. I commend them! I recommend them! I stand by them and and am honored to be one of their customers whom they call family. You cannot have a second account with Chewy, they will send you an email for you to call to confirm details or you can't have another autoship discount. What a waste of time! Ridiculous company. This company thinks there's no other companies around. Your loss. I am already shopping at Petco. Also, Chewy asks to return food even if there's some sort of issue with it. How come?

On Nov 16, 2024 I contacted Chewy.com to cancel an automatic renewal for revolution for our GSD Molly as she passed away Nov 15, 2024. The agent was so kind and compassionate of our loss, and cancel any future order. Today Nov 20, 2024 we received from Chewy.com beautiful flowers for Molly. I put them on her grave and I know Molly appreciate it as much as we do. I will keep doing business with Chewy, because they really do care. Thank you all at Chewy and especially to the lady agent I spoke with. Sorry I forgot her name.

Our dog passed away a few weeks ago and I called Chewy to inform them we will no longer need food. We have been using Chewy for years and have always had great service. Today was the last straw. Chewy would periodically claim that they were unable to contact our vet for an authorization, yet when we contacted our vet, they would have no requests from Chewy, and this is for food that we regularly order every few weeks. Today I received an email from Chewy threatening to cancel our order if we did not upload an authorization within 48 hours. I replied by reminding Chewy about the previous attempts that our vet never received, and added that if they cancelled our order, it would be our last. I received an email almost immediately stating that Valerie E. cancelled the order had been cancelled per my request.
When I replied that I did not cancel the order, they did, Erika D. tried to imply that the cancellation was automated but offered a discount for the confusion on their part...now we have lying since Valerie E. stated she cancelled my order per my request. I just placed an order from PetMeds who, ironically enough, never had any issues with vet authorizations before we stated buying from Chewy.

I called Chewy last night after receiving an auto-ship package of cat food that I thought I had canceled. I explained that my cat had recently passed away. Not only did she immediately refund me for the food, allow me to donate it rather than sending back but when I came home today there were flowers that had been delivered on my doorstep. Confused, I read the card and it was from none other than Chewy with a beautiful note about the loss of my beloved animal. I was completely blown away at the kindness and thoughtfulness of an online company like this. I still have a dog and will always be a loyal customer.

I cannot recommend Chewy enough. I bought their products for three years. When my special needs beagle recently passed, I chatted online about returning my unopened products of dog food, diapers, and potty pads. The report credited my card the purchase amount, which was over $100, and suggested I donate the items instead of returning them to Chewy. Today I received a heartfelt memento.

I ordered medication from Chewy and my VCa was supposed to OK via fax. Later that day, I found out that my vet changed their policy so I called chewy and told them this. I also told them that I needed to request expedited shipping because now that I have to mail it in my dog was going to run out of her meds before normal shipping would get it to me. The customer Service representative acted like helping me was very burdensome and told me he can request it, but he can’t make any promises. Four days later my order gets canceled because they faxed the vet even though I mailed the prescription in five days ago. My dog is out of her meds, necessary daily living, do not trust with any animal that you love. This is such a horrid experience.

I do business with MANY online companies. Chewy…is by far the most incredible company I know of! Their customer service is beyond compare! Always helpful with product orders and on a rare occasion a return. They even sent me a get well card this week! My voice was so bad last week when I called that the girl that helped me felt sad for me. Anyway, this company is awesome and has great prices! Highly recommend!

- Wide selection of products
- Sometimes you get good customer service (other times it's terrible)
- Market prices on products, no price gouging
Cons:- Customer service has tanked over the last 2 years.
- Longtime buggy website that causes what they consider errors, they cancel or stop your order, and if stopped and you contact them, they push the blame on the customer as having entered already used promo codes or discounts when none were added by the customer. They're added by their system and not something the customer can prevent.
- Delays in order processing that can cause one to run out of pet food, miss a gift date, etc.
- Prices are not competitive, just average market.
- Unreliable

Chewy provided prescription dog food to treat kidney disease, regular dog food & treats. Service was excellent. When my dog died, Brittany was compassionate and helpful. Chewy sent a beautiful sympathy bouquet and refunded the cost of the leftover prescription.

If anyone wonders if Chewy provides a good service, the answer is a resounding YES! We used them for meds as well as the usual pet food etc. When we lost Sweet Pea, Doodle and now Ricky, they refunded any of the cost of food and meds we were no longer needed. We just received this memorial rock and a card from them which I think is above and beyond kind.

I am above and beyond appalled at Chewy! So many good reviews but their product has sent my cat to the vet multiple times, she's getting sores all over her neck and scabs!! I'm honestly heart broken. I've had to take up a second job with Uber that pays literally nothing unless people tip and that's few and far between. All Chewy has done is offer me a free skin product!!!

I ordered flea medicine from them that ended up being 10.00 more than advertised with taxes and shipping. They say 1 or two days to contact and get a reply for a prescription. Try 3 days and even though they confirmed my email and cell #, they didn't think that it was important to let me know that they cancelled my order after calling my vet who denied the prescription because they only spoke to the tec who didn't know I had a prescription and didn't ask the doctor??? What kind of co. is this? Meanwhile my poor is scratching like a banshee. I will never order anything from them again. No apology for non-notification, two stars just because the person I spoke to was at least polite.

I have used Chewy a lot because I had a cat with kidney disease. I always got my deliveries fast. Once they were unable to access my property because of a gate but re delivery was fast. Their customer was is great as well. When I get a new fur baby I will continue to use Chewy.

Chewy Pharmacy went above and beyond for us today! Everything was explained, researched, expedited and handled with care. The customer service was love and pure dedication to ease this fur baby mumma. After a very stressful expensive emergency my two dogs needed what the vet charged $1400.00 in prescription costs. We found three of prescription on Chewy for a third of the price the vet wanted to charge! It can take time to get a prescription on file however we didn't have time to wait. I called and asked if we can get that process expedited. I am sure it is not the same for all vet offices.
Within minutes a Chewy pharmacist contacted my vet. Before the customer service representative was done placing a second order I had to add because my vet gave me the wrong prescription details the prescriptions were on file and uploaded making my order ready to fulfill. We do have to wait for approval to get overnight shipping. I feel Chewy will not let us down. Expedited shipping is reserved for very urgent situations and all should understand that, I do.

I had dog food and expensive eye drop Rx auto ship for my German shepherd, Alpha. She got sick 3 months ago and passed away few days ago. Her veterinarian kept running tests and charging me thousands of dollars while Alpha got worse. Finally we took her to specialist and from the first visit they determined she had multiple tumors on multiple internal organs and all those weekly blood and urine test and multiple xrays with radiologist review were absolutely unnecessary. Veterinarian took advantage of our love for our pet to make himself rich.
I reached out to Chewy to see if I can return her unopened food and eye drop. Chewy immediately refunded me for both items. I'm speechless. Our beloved boy of 14 years passed away 3 days ago. My dad had a supply of food arriving and reached out to Chewy to see if he could get a refund. His specialized dog food was pretty expensive. They refunded him the full amount and told him to donate the food. I’m still shocked. You have no idea how much that means to our family, especially during this difficult time. I will ALWAYS support Chewy after this, if I get another pet. Thank you for being a company that actually cares about their customers. I highly recommend this brand.

I don’t usually write reviews often but I’d feel morally wrong not to. I, unfortunately, had to rehome my dog and forgot I had an auto-ship for 35lbs of dog food. The package arrived and I called to request a return. First I was super surprised not to be sent to an automated call menu. Immediately a person picked up so that already made my morning.
While waiting while my account pulled up, Shanteria in Miami, was super friendly and thoughtful in making conversation. Once she had my account pulled up she asked that I donate my box of dog food to the nearest animal shelter and gave me a full refund back to my card. I was shocked and inspired by how easy it was and appreciated the businesses' request to donate my package to help dogs in need… we need more businesses that run this way. Thank you Chewy for being amazing, generous and thoughtful. Please always continue to operate this way.

After we euthanized our oldest guinea pig, who was almost 7 years old, due to her having a mass come back and doubled in size after surgery. I called Chewy to ask about the unopened items as we had several that I wanted to return since we would rehome our remaining piggy to a family who only had one. The representative told me to donate it, which I did, instead of sending them back. I gave the items to a local shelter and a few items to the family who took in our youngest guinea pig. I wanted to say Thank You to Chewy since we became customers in 2020 and have had only 1 item through the years that was damaged, but I called them, and they replaced it with no questions asked. We are still customers since we have other fur babies and will continue with them as I like their customer service and the user-friendly website for ordering items, which is easy to use.

A few days ago I had to make a call to Chewy letting them know sadly that I had to cancel a prescription due to having no choice but to put my dear furbaby down. I spoke with Erin who could not have been sweeter. She was completely understanding and even offered an ear if I ever was having a day and needed someone to talk to knowing they are not just pets, but family. Today I had a knock on the door to a man handing me flowers. Stumped, I read the card and it took me a moment to figure out who sent them. The card read, “Losing such a big part of your family is never easy. Sending you Love, Erin and your Chewy Family”. All I can say is, THANK YOU ERIN! You definitely go above and beyond to make someone’s day just a little bit brighter!

I called their customer service line before placing my prescription order. My question was, do I need to mail in my prescription, or do you phone verify with the prescribing Veterinarian? The guy whom I spoke with clearly stated that once I pay for the prescription, my prescribing Vet would be placed in the call queue for Chewy to "call" to verify. I then specifically asked him again if I had to mail in the prescription, and clearly stated "no". Obviously, Chewy does not train their foreign workers very well!

I’ve religiously shopped with Chewy.com for many years. My cats love their Tiny Tiger food and I’m able to put it on auto-ship so I never have to go without. Sometimes that means I have a bulk supply I put aside for the future….However, after years of exceptional service, starting last month, my shipment arrived with the box of Tiny Tiger cans just dumped into the shipping container with no box or packaging provided, just dumped into the box. Unfortunately, this leads me to have to go purchase a box to store this cans in. It’s a huge headache.
I called to express my frustration and they were nothing short of amazing, and promised it wouldn’t happen again since that’s not the way they ship things…but fast forward to this month and I was frustrated to see that once again they just dumped the cans loosely in the shipping box. When I called again, they said they’d send a note to shipping and promised me it wouldn’t ever happen again….but now I don’t believe that since they assured me last time and then it happened this month. I’ve removed my auto-ship order and will be ordering from Amazon from now on.

Recently I ordered very special food and supplements for my small Yorkie Chesterfield. Sadly just as the subscription was about to be sent out. We had to make the difficult decision to put Chesterfield to sleep. When I chatted with Chewy about the fact that I no longer needed the subscription for the prescription supplies. They were so lovely in helping stop the order. Furthermore I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers in sympathy from the Chewy Family today. I am overwhelmed with emotions to start. Dealing with this company is Infuriating EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! Every time I’ve done a prescription refill they can’t find it from the RX number that is CLEARLY listed on the bottle! They say they don’t keep that number in their records?? SERIOUSLY???! Then they put you through 10 minutes of PURE HELL verifying your account, email, credit card number, ADDRESS TWICE!! It’s just a huge pain in the ** to use this company! And NEVER try to use a discount code! They screw that up every time as well!!

I've been ordering from Chewy for several years now, my orders are typically picked within 24 hours of being placed, they are delivered usually within a matter of days. I have not had to contact customer service because all of my orders have been correct but my parents are also Chewy customers and when my step-dad passed away recently my mom needed to switch the account over to her card, not only did the customer service rep make the switch over a completely painless process but they even sent my mom a bouquet of flowers and condolence card. Prices are good, I don't pay for shipping because the free shipping amount is low enough that I typically hit it ordering what I need for the month.

I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I have been with Chewy for the last 14 years. I have been buying their products for both of my dogs: food, toys, treats, etc. Sadly, I no longer have my boys with me due to their old age. After speaking with an agent on the phone the other day to cancel my auto ship membership, Alexus offered her condolences and we went about our day. Much to my surprise, on my doorstep today, was a dozen roses from the company, yet again offering their condolences. What a stand up company. I have never experienced this from any other company. Wanted to use a $20 coupon on dog food. Had to snail mail the coupon in. I was told it would take three weeks to process. Six weeks later and several phone calls in, I have yet to see my credit. When I called today, they said it was processing. Not sure why it takes Chewy so long to give you back your money. I know when I order from them, the charge shows up on my credit card immediately. I will be moving my pet's food to a nearby brick and mortar store where I can just use my coupon at checkout.

Chewy has been an incredible service for our family of pets (dogs and parrots). I truly appreciate their quick response time, efficiency, and their compassion when our 12-year-old Goldendoodle passed away. I paid for an online vet consultation to avoid having to take my cat into an office and the hassle and money it comes with, Dr. ** was very helpful and knowledgeable and kind, however, she pretty much just recommended I take him to a vet anyway without being prescribed anything. My baby recently went to the rainbow bridge, and I just received in the mail, a beautiful canvas painting of him. How wonderful that a company actually cares. I just first want to say, I have never called a 1800 number and one didn’t have to go through 900 menu options to get to a human.. a local human at that.. but the kind lady picked up on the second ring like it was her desk phone.. on a freaking Sunday at that.. I will not go into actual details so that no one could take advantage of the situation.. But I will say the help that was offered was first class and more than I could have ever asked for out of a help desk.. The accommodation is real and a godsend.. A technical error caused my issue and the nice lady helped and explained and walked me through had so much compassion.. I will always stand by Chewy.. Have spent appr. $20k over some years with Chewy! They take it for granted as big as they are and don't give a darn when there are issues! I ask a simple request to place my delivery at my front door! Instead they leave it at my garage door closer to the road! I'm an elderly woman and it's harder to carry in this way! Dangerous dog food!!! Every time I place an order through Chewy, the cans arrive extremely dented. The first time this happened, I didn’t know any better and fed my dog a dented can and he got sick and threw up and inhaled his vomit and developed aspirational pneumonia and was in the hospital for 5 days.

Created an account with this mob so I could buy my cats and outdoor "house" for the winter. Set the account up, signed in found the house I wanted, put it in my shopping cart, paid for it via paypal and got the standard "thank you for your order" rubbish, VERY QUICKLY followed by "As a precaution, we canceled order #** because we noticed suspicious activity related to your account. You won’t be charged for this order."
I thought there may have been a glitch so tried one more time and got the same result. How in hell can placing ONE order using an account that had just been created be deemed suspicious???? I wouldn't trust this mob in any way shape or form. All they want to do is get you on the phone so they can browbeat you. As others have said - stay as far away from this mob as possible and walk into a pet store where you can see, feel, pay for and take what you need!

We can all agree that the prices and selection at Chewy are very good, which is what initially drew me in. But I have two major complaints. The first is their delivery. The last four deliveries I have had from them have all arrived late at night, after 10 PM. I go to bed early and this means I have packages sitting on the front porch all night, inviting animal scavengers and porch pirates. Fortunately this hasn’t happened, but I am not comfortable with that. Twice when I complained to customer service I received emails from people telling me how sorry they were and that they would move my complaint up the chain and make sure their delivery carrier (I believe their website names FedEx) is aware of this problem.
The third time I was instructed to provide delivery hour parameters with FedEx (apparently this can be done on the FedEx website). Then Tuesday I received my order at 11:09 PM, according to the time stamp on my outside camera. The package didn’t have a FedEx label. The label mention OnTrac which apparently is a “last mile” delivery service. Even if I had set delivery parameters with FedEx, how would that help if they aren’t always delivering the package? So if you’re a night-owl, then this won’t be an issue for you. But it’s a deal-breaker for me.
My second issue is with their auto-renew program. After getting a sense of when this might work for us, I finally put my dogs’ canned food on auto-renew. I received a timely notice prior to the first auto-renew order allowing me to make changes. Since the product didn’t meet the dollar amount threshold, I wanted to add some threats to the order to qualify for the free shipping. Apparently you can’t simply add items to an auto-renew order without them also becoming automatically renewed as well, even if you purchase more than the required dollar amount to get free shipping. This wasn’t going to work for us, so I unchecked auto-renew on the treat order. But that made them a separate order and without the canned dog food I was left paying for shipping, something I have always been able to avoid.
I called customer service to see if they could combine the two orders as I had made a mistake, but I was told that wasn’t possible since the treats had already shipped which meant I had to pay a shipping charge I wasn’t counting on. I really don’t see why I can’t add different items to an auto ship order each time they are to be delivered. Maybe if I had several large dogs, I could more reliably put enough items on an auto-renew order to exceed the dollar amount required for free shipping. I am not a happy camper, and so I can’t give Chewy a better review. But I can take my business somewhere else.

Bought a ball for my dog. They sent to old address. Spoke with customer service to make sure they had new address. Chewy resent the item and once again sent it to old address. Spoke to customer service again and was told item would be rerouted to new address and resent. Three days later I see a refund of $5.25 which doesn't even cover the cost of the ball. I have always received excellent customer service from Chewy in the rare few times I've had to call over the last ten-plus years. I tragically lost most all of my cats in our house fire this year and I thought I'd cancelled all my autoships last year but I had apparently forgotten some. I can no longer access my email addresses due to most of my tech and my password hard copies burning in the fire so I was dreading calling for help but the wonderful lady I spoke with was so kind and helpful. It's been an exceptionally awful year and she really made a difference for me when most people are impatient and dismissive. (I also have dementia so it's hard for me to sound sensible and ask for assistance concisely). She was an outstanding help in a company I already really liked working with. I'd recommend Chewy for many reasons and especially for their customer service group.

2 different times, I received rancid hairball gel for our cat for a total of 8 tubes and $110.00. When I spoke with customer service, I was told the hairball gel is non replaceable and they are sorry for my loss. I have been a Chewy customer primarily to fill my cat's prescription food. My last order was delivered in August (2 months ago), and since then, my sweet girl Lucy has passed away. I've been staring at the unopened Chewy box for almost a month, too sad to throw it away or try to return it. Today, I reached out to the customer service department. Their team responded with the kindest note offering condolences and reminding me that Lucy will always be with me. They then told me to safely dispose of the food and gave me a full refund. I cannot say enough amazing things about Chewy that convey my true feelings. They are such an incredible company and I love everything they stand for. The selection is so comprehensive and vast. They supply for a large variety of animals, even farm animals and birds! On top of the great selection, the very BEST part of Chewy is their appreciation for the customers. Their customer service goes beyond simply customer service, they make you and your furry/scaly/feathery/skin baby feel like part of their family! They send birthday cards to your babies!
If you have any issue with shipping, they immediately rectify it in any way they can. If you are not satisfied with a product they will do everything they can to make it better. This is truly a company that does right by their customers. Obviously, they are a business and have to do business-y stuff, but I personally don't feel like they prioritize their bottom line before their customer care and satisfaction. If only more companies could emulate what Chewy is doing and how they handle their business. Whatever higher power you believe in, Chewy is doing their work. :) <3

I ordered my dogs prescription from his vet online. On September 27 I was told it was going to be here. I left very detailed instructions for delivery. The delivery driver just said wrong address so I then called Chewy and gave them the same instructions. I was told I would have it on Saturday and that the driver would call and follow my detailed instructions. I heard nothing from either until the first of October. Where again they said they could not deliver so Chewy said they could leave a complaint on that driver and redeliver. Even though the medicine was back at their facility. She said she spoke with her manager and that was all that they could do. I asked how would that guarantee that I got my stuff? My dog needs the medicine. She again said that was all she could do. So I agreed.
She did however say that Chewy could reimburse me 1 week if I went to another vet just needed to submit the receipt. Didn't have the money because I already paid them but figured two days tops his prescription was already approved wrong. They had to reapprove a medicine they already approved. Did not ship me his new meds until Monday the 7th. Guess what? Today again with the same detailed instructions the delivery driver did not deliver and now it says tomorrow.
When I called chewy I get, "Well I don't know what to tell you. For some reason they can't get it to you until tomorrow." My dog's anxiety is so bad he chews metal and dents it. He is not a big dog, he is a little dog. Which means he can choke and die or he can break shard and cut himself. He can actually hurt himself badly enough to be fatal. Is that what they will say if he dies? Their facility is in Carlsbad about 30 min from me. Let me pick it up. Do something to make sure I get besides I don't know what to tell you. I know my delivery place is hard that is why I leave the detailed instructions and my husband works from home so not an excuse. Amazon follows them and so does the pizza man so I know they are clear. Sorry Chewy don't know what to tell you but you gotta figure out this customer service out in these situations.

So they sent me a coupon which I used, put order through, and sent me an email stating my order is in process. 3 days later I get an email saying I need to call them to confirm I want my order!! WHAT?!? So I do and the lady on the phone says all good. 2 days later I get another email saying my order won't be sent because the coupon I used was for new customers only!! When I received a notice that my cat's vet authorization was coming up for renewal, I emailed them back that my cat passed away. Placed an order for meds and supplements for my dog. We received partial order and kept receiving emails regarding delayed delivery. When on the phone with Chewy, they said they didn’t know what happened and could not give me a detailed explanation, only asked if I wanted a refund. They were basically saying, "We messed up and so what?!? You will have to wait another 3-4 day, which would be 10 days from original order or take a refund!" Their attitude about the situation is wrong! If Chewy messed up the order they should at the very least try and explicate the order or discount the order, something to show that they care! Chewy.com has been great, they hit the outstanding mark with me when I called to discuss my beloved dog/baby passed away. The customer service rep was so nice and understanding that I was and am grieving a tremendous loss that they sent me a small vase with flowers! They have always been prompt with any issues and I feel that the customer service reps are so thoughtful of its customers and I always get to speak to a live person! 5 plus star rating from me. Chewy is the best company! I’ve shopped with them for years and they have the best prices from food, supplies & meds. We had to set our girl free 2 1/2 weeks ago because she had Insulinoma (pancreatic cancer) and she had progressed. We had just ordered a new blood sugar monitor and received it the day we had made the appt to send her off. I was a mess and notified Chewy I needed to send it back. They not only said to keep/donate the monitor, they refunded my credit card, they sent me beautiful flowers with a card the following day.
A week later they sent me another card letting me know how sorry they were for my loss of my sweet girl Emmie. Oh and I must mention when she was diagnosed and we had to start her on steroids they sent her a treat and a toy. Unbelievable! I cannot tell you how much their kindness meant to my husband and I. We highly recommend them and will only use them for our next pup. Thank you Chewy for your outstanding, compassionate, kind, best customer service.

I will never buy again. I was told something would be here on a certain date. Then they said, "Oh we will do a courtesy refund" and still give me the stuff as a courtesy then I check and they said I canceled it ...no I didn't cancel it. I said, "NO don't cancel it" or was supposed to be here today. I was told I get it today. For sure. NO problem and Now I am NOT getting it. I am losing money because of them. I needed the costumes I ordered for tomorrow and NO I can't go buy them because they're NOT in stores. So thanks to them lying I losing $60 for Entry fees.

Your customer services is incredible. But not as amazing as your compassion! I placed an order for Scoots early in the morning. By that night my pet’s health had declined and unfortunately I no longer needed the supplies ordered. I attempted to cancel the order but it had already been shipped. I contacted customer service and without hesitation I had been refunded and was advised I could donate the items in the order. The customer service rep spoke to me with compassion and had sincerely offered compassion. The following day I had been dreading coming home. Not hearing Scoots’s paws clicking on the floor, knowing he wouldn’t be waiting at the door for me, never hearing him bark for food or to go outside. There were flowers waiting for me. From Chewy.com. It softened the sadness and I just wanted to thank you for treating people with compassion and knowing the sadness of losing a pet.

I have 3 dogs and have been using Chewy for about 4 years now. Lately they have become unreliable. I have an order that is automatically shipped every other week and it has become more and more late. I currently have an order and it again isn’t shipping. I’ve called twice and no one wants to do anything for me. Just tell me it will ship soon. My order was expected to be delivered on Saturday. Now it’s not gonna make it and I’ll have to call again. It seems that no one cares about you. Just earning a paycheck.

My family lost our beloved Princessa that’s been with us for over 15 years. I called Chewy to return a medication and explain to them that Princessa has passed before receiving the new meds and the rep was more than wonderful and understood our situation. Chewy then refunded us for the medication and sent us flowers for our loss. My family was in awe when we found out that a company would do such a wonderful gesture. My dog passed away a few weeks ago and I called Chewy to cancel her reoccurring prescription refills. The staff were so attentive and kind to me. They were able to make the process easy for me. Then yesterday I got a flower delivery from Chewy expressing their condolences for my loss. This completely touched my heart as no company in today's market has these kind of gestures. I only have used Chewy for a little over a year ever since my cat became a type 1 diabetic. Hands down a wonderful company from the customer service to the pharmacy staff. You can tell everyone there loves their job and loves all animals. Every single time I have called weather to make sure my cat's script came in or to just ask a general question on how something worked every person has been so helpful above and beyond. I could not be more pleased and satisfied with how this company operates. Unfortunately I lost my fur baby on 9/9/24 due to a seizure that caused too much brain damage.
With a sad heart of losing my baby after 14 years, I called the next day to cancel all future shipments and to thank everyone. To my shock today I get a knock on the door from my local flower shop very confused. This company gifted me flowers as a sorry for your loss. No other pet company or many companies in general do this and to even think of doing this greatful gesture. I will recommend this company to anyone who has pets and will use this company for my other pets because they have quality and care. Thank you Chewy!

I contacted Chewy via phone on Tuesday, October 1st, explaining how sick my dog was and if I could pay extra to receive my prescription faster. I also asked 3 times if a new prescription was needed and he kept mentioning no, as there is an active policy on file for **. Today after 3 days, I received an email indicating my order is on hold socne I NEVER EVER HAD A PRESCRIPTION FOR CHEWABLE **. The problem is I HAVE NEVER EVER GIVEN MY DOG CHEWABLES, I DID NOT ORDER CHEWABLES, & DURING MY CALL I MADE SURE THAT THE REPRESENTATIVE UNDERSTANDS THAT. Today I spoke with a pharmacy tech and she said this is not her problem, that I ordered chewable, and if I want to cancel. PLEASE READ THE SCREENSHOTS OF MY CHAT. The Pharmacy tech named KAY, did not bother to ask if I ordered them through a rep until the end that I said I'll report her to the Consumers of Affairs. Chewy truly is one of a kind. I lost my pet. It was very hard to call & cancel my orders then also telling them why I was cancelling. I wish I knew the gentleman's name but he was very compassionate when assisting me. He lowered his tone & he talked about my pet with & offered exceptional empathy. I was perfectly satisfied with his care at the end of my call. 2 weeks later, I received flowers at my door offering condolences to me. Never, never, never sign up for autoship. Chewy lies and tells you the date of an autoship can be moved or cancelled. That's not true. This company has a lousy computer system and very poor customer service. Three times I received autoships after moving the date. I had things to spend my own $$$ on. And they billed me even after I told them not to. When I tried to delete the items from the autoship, they locked it in. I am very unhappy with Chewy.

I had my autoship set up too frequently and I just went on to amend. They immediately credited my order and asked how me and dog were doing by name. The customer service is exceptional and I'll never forget them sending flowers when my Chula passed away.

I ordered pet food on this site. They offered a discount for auto-ship, so I set that up. They also advertised free 1-3 day delivery, and a satisfaction guarantee. I thought it sounded too good to be true, and I was right. After I ordered the pet food I got an email claiming they needed to confirm my information before they ship the item. I know this isn't true, but still, I responded and let them know all my information was correct. They did not respond or ship the item, so I sent a message asking why the item wasn't shipped.
I let them know my pet needed the item (she is diabetic and needs special food) and told them to ship it now. No response to the message, and when I checked the status of the order I found they had blocked the shipment and my next auto-ship. In conclusion, I strongly recommend not doing business with this company. They did not provide the goods or services advertised, they wasted my time and left my poor pet without the food she needs. They do not care about customers or their pets, as evidenced by the lack of communication, lack of customer service, and blocking orders for no reason. Beware!

I have been a Chewy customer for a long time..The only thing I want to address is when I get 20.00 coupons or gift cards….THEY NEVER go towards anything I have always purchased in the past…No Science Diet food of any kind and no Fancy Feast of any kind so those coupons do not help me in any way and not sure why Chewy continues to send them to me!! I bought my cat's food on Monday, they took the money right away but on Tuesday I Receive a message that says that I needed to call to customer service to fix something with my account. Which I did and they asked me a lot of verification questions and then they said that everything was fixed and that I will receive the food between 24 and 48 hours on Friday 4am I receive another email saying that I should call again and do the same process again and that they couldn't Approve my purchase EVEN THOUGH THEY TOOK THE MONEY ON MONDAY, asked for same information twice and told me that I will receive the food not later than Friday... And because Is Friday Already, and my cat does not have her food and I will have to go to another store anyway.
I aked them to cancel my order and account And they said that they will give me back the money in 2 business days MEANING NEXT WEEK (I have to wait for the weekend plus to the business day for having the money back when they did not have any problems taking it from me instantly) and like nothing they invite me to create a profile for my pet to keep buying there?!, Haha not even crazy, The audacity of this people... I was blown away with the customer service I received by Chewy!! We had a cat that was very ill. We bought prescription canned food and hydration packs from Chewy. Sadly, our cat passed away. We had $100 worth of unopened product. When I contacted Chewy to see if I could return the products, they quickly refunded the entire purchase and asked me to donate the products to someone!! I was so surprised as I was expecting something totally different. That is not it! The next day they sent a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a sweet note sending their condolences to us. My experience with Chewy has been incredible.. During the storm I ordered my food for our dogs. The day of delivery we had to evacuate. They went above and beyond to make sure all 3 of our dogs Pecos Livie and exact .. were not without food. They were able to ship us a new order of food to the RV park we evacuated to. Chewy puts a banner across their home page as well as across every item you click on that says $30 e-gift card off a $100 but when you try to use that they say it’s only on certain items. If that is the case the banner should not be across every item. Very poor advertising and customer service. I have always used Chewy for my pets' needs. The prices were reasonable compared to the vet for sure, yesterday I called them crying because I just had to put my dog to sleep to cancel my auto ships. Today I open the door and find beautiful flowers and a note that says losing such a big part of your family is never easy…. I am floored and full of joy at the same time but still crying. A few things to begin, I ordered 2 dog beds and found out later after they arrived, they were kinda crinkly noises as my pups got on and off during the night, I called Chewy and told them the problem and they asked that I donate them to my local animal shelter and gave me a full refund for both beds. 2nd, I have 3 dogs, and I called Chewy to ask if they could delete one account I had for my older dog because we lost her to heart failure. They were so supportive. Super kind on the phone. Then, a few days later, a beautiful gorgeous Bouquet of flowers arrived from Chewy and their crew about how sorry they were to hear about the loss of my old girl. Super kind, super sweet. Very nice to speak with in the phone about any and all concerns. I have NEVER had a problem with dealing with Chewy. I recommend Chewy. And I can't thank them enough.

I have been a loyal customer of Chewy since 2018 but no longer will do business with them. Their customer service is horrible compared to what it used to be!! Items are never in stock - items I had been receiving with no issues in past suddenly making my dogs vomit (vomiting stopped as soon as I stopped giving it to them) customer service didn’t seem to care about any of my issues and just suggested I remove the problematic items from my autoship. It’s just as easy to get these things from Amazon or any local pet store which is what I’ll opt to do from now on. It’s a shame because I used to recommend Chewy to everyone - they’ve changed and it shows!! They’ve lost my loyalty.

Chewy is, by far, one of the best companies we have ever worked with! Their employees genuinely care for the customers and do everything in their ability to correct any situation that might have gone wrong. We received our usual 40 pound bag of dog food and when we went to bring it inside, we noticed the box was covered in ants, inside and out. We had to spray the ants which got all over the bag and obviously didn't want our dogs exposed to any chemicals in the spray. We reached out to Chewy (with pics included) to ask if there was anything that could be done since this was basically $50 thrown down the drain and within minutes, Chewy responded and sent out a new shipment of food. We will always be loyal customers to Chewy and it is because of their incredible customer service that we have received as well as others have received based on all the positive reviews we have read. Had me call in and the cardholder call in to customer service. Told everything was fine. Then Cancelled my whole first order because a roommate used the same address for first time order promotion a year ago. Not the same name, email or billing info. Not the same phone number just the same delivery address. I find out by going to the site to track the order. You can't buy this food in stores and cancelling my order means I'll need to wait another 2 days for the amount pending to be avail in my account. So total of a week from order date and I'll need to repurchase and wait for delivery another 3 days. Total 10 days until I'll see the food at best.
Side note: Nowhere in the promotion does it say more than one can be used at an address. They screwed me over because they didn't want me to redeem a promotional discount. How greedy can corporate America Chewy get? Unbelievable. The worst. If it was any other company like Amazon they would have apologized and sent out a free order for all the time and energy and calls. Not Chewy, they don't care if your animal has food. Just that someone isn't trying to use a promotional discount when ordering. Seriously an example of bad company bad customer service. Never ordering again from them.

Normally I love Chewy but this order my box was is heavy that the Fed Ex guy was struggling to bring it to my door. They put my cat litter that was 39lbs in the same box with the rest of my order. It smashed all the 12 bisques small boxes and bag of Royal Canine cat food. When I called the customer service the Rep said that they can't guarantee that it will not happen again, which she was not very nice about her response. It just seems like common sense not to put something that heavy in with small boxes that weigh hardly nothing. Just sad about this order :(

I’ve always had a great experience with Chewy. I order from them every month for our German shepherd and Maine Coon cat. Our last order was delivered to the wrong address by the shipping company. Even though it wasn’t their fault, Chewy cancelled the order and sent another shipment and it arrived the next day. I’ve always experienced exceptional customer service with them. I have used Chewy for years and always received the greatest of service. My dog Elvis needed special prescription food and meds and they always asked about him when I called in. This past week my lil Elvis passed away. I called to see if I could return an order of unopened prescription food. The gentleman that answered was so kind. He gave me a refund and told me I could donate the food to my vet or a rescue. Then today I received a bouquet of flowers from the Chewy team with condolences. I was blown away and teared up. I love the services Chewy provides. I wish the delivery service appreciated the business. I order from chewy because I have a hard time lifting the big bags of food from the store into my house. Fed ex brings my orders and leaves those heavy boxes down by my garage. I guess if I wasn't low income I could give them a tip for better service. Maybe they would bring the boxes to my back porch? A tip or not, heavy boxes should be left on one of my decks which lead to an entrance to my house. Chewy needs a better delivery service. Fed Ex is lazy!!

I used to be a regular customer, left because of a few reasons...1. no veteran discount (service dog) 2. Product shortages (they took your money while not having product to deliver. I revisited Chewy recently, ordered items and the delivery company OnTrac sucks...they seem to hire Shady folks afraid of the armed federal police that man our entry gates. Our Guards have informed us that OnTrac is hiring loads of the illegals coming across our Southern Border. So they either have warrants and do not want to have their ID'S run, or they have no documentation. So, they return the items as refused.

If I am charged for shipping, I should have a choice of a method by which my order is shipped. And not be compelled to find myself at the mercy of the most unreliable and irresponsible delivery company, i.e. FedEx. They don't deliver on time, they don't deliver to the door but, instead, throw packages in the road, provide no information and no apologies for their incompetence and poor service. You have great products offered at reasonable prices, you offer good discounts. I would like to keep ordering from you. But if I can't receive the orders as promised and stated, I am hesitant to continue purchasing products from your site. Preferring to look for similar products elsewhere. From companies that use either the USPS or UPS.
All day yesterday, I was being informed that my order was on its way. FedEx never showed up yesterday nor today. And no information is provided as to when I will receive my order. My dog has just been diagnosed w heart disease, and I am anxious to start giving him supplements which may help him. Instead, I am left without any information as to my order. And will have to wait until after the holiday weekend to may be receive it. I had to reorder something similar from Amazon. And will get it tomorrow - on Sunday. And the shipping is free. I am frustrated and will think several times before ordering again from your site. Which is a shame considering how much I like you. And what a great company you are.

Let me start with my experience has always been amazing. When we had to put our dog down unexpectedly they fixed my autoship since I was so upset and couldn't figure it out. I just received a package with a beautiful painted rock in his memory and handwritten card. No it won't bring him back. But they are beyond thoughtful. I've been using Chewy for years both for my chinchilla, Merlin, and my cat, Mel. Any time an issue has happened (such as bad hay coming in or a dented wheel most likely caused during shipping), Chewy was always quick to correct the issue by replacing the item at no charge and with expedited shipping. Items in my order always have come in the promised time frame and the items I need are almost always in stock. Customer service is USA based and 24 hours a day, which is AMAZING. Any time I've had to call, people are so polite and helpful.
I was most recently blown away by the compassion of Chewy when Mel passed away and I inquired via e-mail on if there was a way I could return my most recent high dollar unused order. I received a very thoughtful and kind e-mail from a woman named DeAnna letting me know she would refund my order in full and to hold on to the items for the future, or to donate to a local shelter. She also let me know that the staff was there 24 hours a day if I wanted to call and cry, tell stories about Mel, anything I needed to do... They would be there to listen.
As if that wasn't kind enough of her, 2 days later I received a beautiful arrangement of flowers with a condolences message, signed her and the Chewy staff. Chewy is a company that genuinely cares about the wellness of our pets. The staff goes above and beyond to make the best out of every situation and to ensure that the customers are taken care of. The world needs more businesses like this and definitely more employees like theirs. I eagerly await bringing new pets into my home so I can give them my business again.

I'm conflicted about writing this review. I used Chewy for a long time with little to no issues. Left for a while and came back and have no idea how or why it went downhill so bad. Order never ships, over and over! Or says it does but never leaves the warehouse. Customer service is fantastic and they always make it right but in today's world we use these services for convenience and unfortunately it's not convenient when you're expecting things to arrive when they say they are and they don't so you then have to spend even more money to go out and buy it all to hold you over until your order decides to finally show up. Sounds crazy but it even make us almost miss our plane for vacation 1 time.

I started ordering our dogs insulin here over a year ago. They always provided great service! Automatic deliveries on time and hassle free. Recently, I had to cancel due to having to euthanize our baby. Chewy went above and beyond to send a sympathy card, which meant a lot to us. Definitely recommend this company!!

I used Chewy to order prescription food for my dog when the vet suggested a low fat/gi tractor diet. I received the food and unfortunately my dog would not eat it. 3 weeks after purchasing the food my dog crossed the rainbow Bridge. I emailed chewy about taking the dog food back and they responded quickly that they do not do returns on prescription food. I thanked them for their response and explained that my dog had passed and I no longer had any use for the food. They then did something I never expected. They responded to me quickly again with an email expressing their condolences for my loss, a poem and a refund in the full amount. They told me to donate the leftover food to a shelter in my dog's name. This was an amazing experience with customer service in a very difficult time for me. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Chewy customer service was great in their response time to an issue I had with delivery. I received an email indicating that my order was delivered but I couldn't find the package anywhere at my house. I emailed customer service to let them know that I needed the order within 2 days because my dog's food was about to run out, and to see if I should reorder and try to rush shipment. I got a response within 2 hours (I emailed around 8 PM and received a response by 10:30 PM the same day). Cheyenne had already refunded me $55 and reordered my order, so that it would arrive in two days. I am very pleased with the customer service and the ability to deal with everything via email, without having to wait on the phone for hours on end. I use Chewy for all my dogs' needs, including their pharmaceutical needs.

Easy 10/10 for their customer service! Had issues finding the right harness for my boxer that has basically lost 90% of mobility in her back legs and Chewy.com was amazing in working with me and issuing refunds and then allowing me to donate the already purchased harnesses to charity! Can't name another company that treated me this well. :)

Chewy is an incredible company. They put pets and pet owners first. Not only have they had treats for my companion but they also had medicine for her when she needed it most. Upon my companion's death, they were very understanding in regards to her medications and even sent flowers that were so unexpected. My partner will continue to use Chewy and I highly recommend everyone else to them as well.

I am shocked and amazed. I have used Chewy for my dog's heart meds for the last 2 years. When my vet denied my recent autoship, Danielle from Chewy called to see if everything was okay. I had explained that my dog had lost his battle with heart failure. The next day, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a very heartfelt card. I really appreciate this! They use on track or Fedex, both are worse delivery company. Been waiting weeks for my package, still waiting on a refund. The people are slow that work here. Save your time just go to the store or Amazon at least they will get a package to you. And Chewy you all need to do better or you will not make it. Read the reviews, most talk about what I did.

Ordered medication on the 19th. And no change with the shipment of the order. Emailed on the 22nd and they said they haven’t heard back from the vet. Called the vet and they said they did send the prescription the previous day. He resent it just in case. Emailed Chewy back and they gave me the the pharmacy number. Called them and she said the prescription is in and it will be expedited since it’s priority and delivered the next day. Then proceeded to say I will get tracking information in 24 hours. I reiterated what she just said about being delivered the next day then she went back and said “well..” and said the email needs to be created then I’ll get tracking in 24 hours. So she lied and didn’t understand when it would be shipped. Come to the 23rd, I got an email saying it shipped and will arrive on the 26-27th… awful experience, no one understood what I was asking and didn’t know how to do their job. Wouldn’t order off here again.

I had auto ship for my dog's medicine. It told me my payment needed revised for some reason. I tried and it would not work. I tried a different card. Still nothing. The next day I tried again. It took my money, but still said payment needed revised and the order wasn't put in. I talked to customer service, they told me that payment needed revised even after I sent proof of payment. They offered to cancel the order or me fix payment that I HAD ALREADY PAID. Now I have a canceled order. Money missing and NO medicine for my poor dog. I'm absolutely disgusted with the service.

This company's service is top notch and I have NEVER been let down but I have to comment on my latest experience. I messed up and somehow canceled my autoship (100% my fault), I did not realize until I went to give my dogs their flea product this month and I didn’t have any. My one dog had a vet appointment so I figured no biggy, I will get a single dose from my vet to get me by….
Well little did I know they were out of stock and I was leaving for vacation in just 3 days. So I placed an order with Chewy and explained my situation. Offered to pay for overnight shipping and they said “no need to pay. We have you.” NO JOKE, I spoke to chewy 4pm. By 12 noon the next day my flea product was on my doorstep. What an incredible company. Not only that the associate I spoke with was absolutely incredible, kind, compassionate and understanding especially considering this was completely my fault and I was running to chewy hoping to save myself. I am beyond grateful to be their customer and will continue to support them!

I have purchased from Chewy frequently this past year. A few weeks ago, I bought fancy feast petites for my cats and when I opened the box, it was full of maggot like bugs along with a horrific smell of urine and feces. It was disgusting! I got reimbursed, customer service was great. A few weeks later, I attempted to purchase the same items and the exact same thing happened. Maggot like bugs and a horrible smell! I again got refunded. Chewy is are amazing! Not only are they willing to take back unused pet food and medicines, they even acknowledge events in my pet family! Today I received a beautifully decorated rock in a pretty blue velvet bag with my recently deceased cat Chataigne's name painted on it. Last year, when I had Covid (I must have called you for some reason during that time and mentioned it) a thoughtful person sent me a get well card and gift - a Chewy mug w tea and honey. I've had almost no problems getting orders fulfilled by Chewy. In the rare instance where there was a problem, Chewy was quick to address it. In addition, I love it that they reimburse me to send prescriptions via USPS Priority Mail so that they can be filled ASAP. And of course, I appreciate the convenience of having pet food and supplies delivered to my door. Wow! Chewy goes WAY above and beyond in the service area!!

Round of "appaws" to Chewy for empowering their team members to provide instant solutions. I called customer support because 8 of 12 dog food cans we received were severely dented. Within 24 hours replacements arrived - all perfect and dent free. I don't know what happened in that first shipment to have so many ruined cans, but I am glad that Louis was able to immediately replace them.
This was our first Chewy order, and without such an excellent policy in place to deal with problems, it would have been our last. Because of this experience, we are happy to be customers and look forward to referring Chewy to others. Getting it perfect isn't the expectation - making it right when things go wrong IS. I am absolutely DONE with ordering ANYTHING from Chewy. The package delivery they use is FedEx. And FedEx is TERRIBLE. Chewy takes my money immediately, and way more than once I've had to call because my dog's food never showed up, even though FedEx says it's delivered. Or it says it will be delivered on a Saturday, and it never shows or it says delivered. Bottom line it has been WAY too inconsistent to the point of ridiculous. They will never a single dollar from me again.

I can't say enough good things about Chewy. They have a great selection of cat supplies offered at fair prices, and discounts/promo events are frequent. Their shipping is fast and reliable, arriving quickly in the large city I live in as well as when visiting my parents in a small mountain town in NC (which even Amazon is slow to deliver to). When I've had questions and issues, customer service has been prompt and exceptionally kind. Their latest email is the reason I decided to write this review, which I almost never do. They're a fantastic company, and I'm so grateful for the services they provide my kitty and I.

We have bought products from Chewy off and on through the years for our pets. When our dog, Marlee had to go on ** and ** for congestive heart failure and a severe mitral valve regurgitation, we switched the prescriptions to Chewy. The medications came extremely fast and were much cheaper than our vet. We had to put Marlee to sleep on August 5, 2024. When I canceled her AutoShip on the prescriptions, I told them that she had been put to sleep. A few days later, a box arrived from Chewy with a handwritten card, expressing their condolences and a hand painted rock with her name, rainbows and hearts on it. It was very touching and we appreciate their kindness and compassion. Thanks especially to Colton.

Ordered heart prescription for our senior dog on 8/10. Chewy website said it will be here BY 8/13. Did not receive it. Went on their website and saw that there is no updated information. Just said "Shipped." Called them 8/14. Was put on hold while they contacted FedEx. Came back to tell me it's now being shipped by FedEx today.(?) Really? I thought it was already shipped, according to your site, and was to be here by yesterday, and now you're saying it's just NOW be shipped? Why was I not notified, and NOW when will we finally receive it? I was met with "Oh, we get notified with FedEx updates, and you'll receive it soon." No apologies; just disinterest, and eventually just defensive. I'm sure they screw up like this often and get caught. So folks, plan to place your orders at least two weeks in advance to save yourselves from this type of crap service.

I like Chewy and enjoy the discounts they usually have. That's why when my vet gave me a prescription for medicine for my beloved dog I didn't hesitate to have it filled by chewy because its medicine is hard for me to afford otherwise. But because of their choice to use a delivery company to deliver the medicine my poor dog has gone without his medicine for two days now. Watching him suffer is absolutely heartbreaking. Leaving me with no recourse other than writing this review. If you love your pet and think of them as family don't trust chewy to get them the medicine they need to enjoy life like they deserve. This company will let them down and make them suffer. I found out the hard way. Don't make my mistake. Don't use chewy.

I just want to start out by saying I love this company. I have been in animal medicine for almost 14 years. I have all kinds of pets, large and small. I recently lost my old dog Pumpkin who came to me years and years ago as a rescue. Last October because of pumpkin spice season Chewy commissioned a hand painted portrait of my Pumps and delivered it to me. We lost her and I reached out to see about deactivating her on my account so they wouldn't send out her yearly birthday card. Today I opened my mailbox to find a chewy package with a lovely card expressing sympathy for our loss and a beautiful hand painted rock that had my Pumpkin's name on it and a little pumpkin. They by far care more than another company I have ever worked with. They handle thousands and thousands of customers but still make you feel like you're the only one and it MATTERS. I will always express gratitude for them.

I have been a member/customer of Chewy for 7 years for my Cane Corso. My Products always arrived on time and never had any issues. Recently my best friend Sybiere passed away and I had to cancel my subscription. Two days later, I received a delivery from Chewy but this time it was not my dog’s food product, it was a bouquet of flowers with a note attached expressing their sympathy.
I am so touched beyond words that the company would send me flowers for my loss. Chewy just showed me that they are not just a company to provide the delivery of my best friend food but they REALLY CARE about their customers. To show compassion and sympathy says a lot about this company. Our animals are more than just pets. They are family and chewy knows that!! Decided to try the online pharmacy and Chewy requested for the Rx to be mailed in by me. My poor pet is suffering from blood-sucking parasites and they advertise 3-5 days shipping. Well, it has been 19 days and they say they still don't have my Rx I mailed. Several people in the pharmacy department have told me it is typically 21 days before they receive mail-in Rx's. My order also says if not received by the 18th THEY WILL CANCEL my order. This is not a good website for prescriptions, in my opinion. For their products, regular items. I have not had an issue.

Chewy has always answered any call I placed within a few rings. I was never transferred, put on hold, or had to press multiple buttons to get to who I needed to talk to. Their prices are always better than others and their customer service is unparalleled. I had to cancel an autoship order due to my dog passing and they sent me the most kind and sincere email in response, and then I received flowers from them the next day.

I have been using Chewy for about a year and have always had terrific service. When we lost our 18 year-old cat, they sent us a sympathy card. I also contacted them because of a marketing email I received using our cat's name. They quickly responded empathetically and updated the records for me immediately. I later saw in my portal that I could have done that myself, so I appreciate that during that difficult time they did not give me instructions, they just took care of it. I also had an auto shipment of dog food I received and wanted to return because my vet had me change foods. They returned my payment and suggested I donate the food to a shelter. I can't say enough good things about my experiences with them.

I placed an order with Chewy ahead of my dog's 7th birthday. I have family that have used Chewy and heard good things. I, myself have never ordered from Chewy before. Throughout the shopping experience, I see banners noting a welcome code to receive 10% off and a $20 gift card for placing your first order with over $100. I fill my cart and check out with the promo code. I immediately get an email from their team saying I must contact customer service to have the order processed. Customer Service stated there was "it looks like the promotion has already been redeemed on another Chewy account that is linked to your information." I have no records of having ever placed an order with Chewy before. No one in my direct household or address have shopped with Chewy before. I fear they use bait and switch to get shoppers to buy more and then remove the discount incentives.

First time using Chewy. I ordered ** for my dog Taz. I have two addresses one in Henderson Nevada and the other in Anaheim California. I confirmed with the representative to mail the Apoquil to the Anaheim address. Instead, the medication was sent to Henderson Nevada. I had to call again, and the rep said that the reorder will be sent to Anaheim. Well, I called again today and still do not have my medication. Chewy customer service is incompetent. So far, I have talked to 4 reps and no medication. Very bad service. I do not recommend Chewy.

Tried to buy a product, instead I have to for some reason confirm over and over again, Never had to do that, verified online, confirmed online.. not good enough.. looks like they are going to just not send out what I paid for. Not worth the grief: as a general rule, avoid companies that make it hard to do business with them and give your money to some other company.
