Not only does Chewy have amazing customer service but they are truly a company with a heart. With the birthday discount for Snicker we got him a cute, fluffy bed. Not only did he love it but the cats do too! Happy 16th birthday Snicker and you're a sweetheart for sharing. ❤️

I have been using Chewy for a few years to get items on autoship for our furbaby, Maggie. When she passed away, a few days ago I notified Chewy that I needed to cancel my autoship order, and the reason why. Then a day later, I received these beautiful flowers with a sweet sympathy and condolences card. Thank you Chewy! It was a sweet surprise and so thoughtful. I will recommend you to everyone I know. Not many companies would do such a kind thing that brought a sliver of joy during such a sorrowful time.

So I’ve been using Chewy for a few years now and it use to be cheaper and more convenient to use Chewy but now it’s more expensive than going to Walmart for the same thing. Chewy also use you send coupons monthly but now you’re lucky if you get it once in a blue moon. I’ll never place another order with Chewy especially since I can shop at Walmart.com and get everything for less with free shipping too.

Ordered $147 worth of dog food that made my dog sick, they wanted me to package it up and send it back before they would refund my money, I had gave it to a family who needed it. They offered me $10 off my next order. Will never order from this company again,.

I have never had any issues with my orders through Chewy. I receive notifications about my autoship items that are no longer available, etc. Today I reached out to Chewy to return a shipment of dog food and let them know it was because our sweet dog had passed away over the weekend. They credited my account and told me to donate the items. This afternoon I received a delivery of flowers and initially thought it was from our vet - it was from Chewy. This was above and beyond in my opinion especially in the realm of online shopping. Thank you so much.

I am trying to buy an eye’s medication for my dog getting blind if she doesn’t have the eye drops from Chewy.com since Thursday by today is 5 days calling talking to many staffs to get this order done and charging my cards. Every time put the card to save, said, "Oops something wrong." I tried so many way till I get gift card and went through. Donna charged and my card. She said did not go through but has been charged. I checked the balance and transferred to Stefanie. When I talked to Stephanie pharmacist supervisor she thought did not go through. I think all has been canceled.
Today Monday I called. Nobody was helping and today talked to another. Donna she said Stephanie did not say anything and the transaction or medication is not there and I begged her to help, she transferred me to Sarah supervisor of pharmacy. I said it is emergency. She did not care and said make a it ticket for 48 hours. Someone contacted me. Even did not listen to me.
I don’t understand the chewy staffs and the online problems my money took away and they cancel the transaction and nobody knows how to solve the problem and it is frustrating and not having another level to help. To me it is disappointing this place if there is problems, they can not solve it and there is no trust. I hope someone call and give my money that chewy took out of my gift card for $70. Dollar back.

I created a cart on a Sunday, would not let me use a coupon (I met all criteria). So called Monday. My cart total was different because they increased the price of an item. When I called, they said they would honor the coupon but not the change in pricing. Offered to send a screen shot of my cart, they declined. The girl transferred me to supervisor, and in the meantime she CHANGED my cart prices!!! This is not right. So sneaky and underhanded. I declined the purchase all together. Chewy’s prices have become outrageous too. I can get better deals at Walmart or Kroger. I’m a veterinarian. So disappointed in all this. Will steer people away from them. Customer service, pricing, all of which not worth it anymore. Has management changed?

This week I opened a can of the 24 pack of canned cat food Chewy shipped me for my cat without looking at the can before I opened it. They had mistakenly sent me salmon instead of chicken and salmon is a protein that my cat has a sensitivity to and not the protein. I called Chewy customer service, and they took care of my problem in less than 24 hours. My cat had the food he needed. Chewy customer service is exceptional and I am so happy that I do business with them.

Chewy.com is glitchy and doesn't honor the price given for auto ship so beware at checkout. The $20 off coupons they mail out never seem to work and when you try to change the quantity of an item in your cart it won't let you. This site is sketchier than Temu....

I can’t say enough about this company. They have top notch customer service (Shonae) and pharmacy associates that take the time to understand what you need and when you need it, and on time delivery. Auto ship is always right on queue for the medications that are reoccurring. They go above and beyond to make sure you are treated right. Not many companies do that today without strings attached. My pets have always received birthday cards, holiday cards, they offer many discounts as well. I guess what really got me, was when my 16 year old pup passed. The next I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers at my door with a kind note, I felt valued as a person and human being. God bless Chewy for taking care of their customers.

Here we go again. I already wrote my review 2 times and they somehow just disappeared. I recently ordered 9 bags of cat food. There was 1 which was 6 pounds and 8 which were 3 pounds. I talked to the girl and told her that I needed them packed in a certain way as I cannot lift more than 6 pounds. So for that order it would entail 5 packages. When it arrived it was all in 1 box so I refused the order. Then I had to contact you and tell you what happened and to send it again but packed in the right way. The girl said it would be done. I get an email saying my order had been shipped and it said package 1 of 1. So I immediately called and asked to speak to the supervisor as it was apparent that nobody knew what they were doing. He checked and did say that both orders did indicate that and when it had been delivered he would call me to make sure it was done correctly.
I received my order today but it was the same, just 1 large box. I told the guy that I had to refuse it AGAIN. It has been over 5 hours and the supervisor has never called to inquire about the delivery. Those notes are on my order. Can't anyone ever get anything right? No wonder companies are short handed as people do not understand what the customer wants and ignore their concerns. Those that screw up customers' orders should be fired and replaced with people who are more knowledgeable. I would have been fired immediately if I screwed up just 1 order. I hope the 3rd time's the charm and if not I just will not order with Chewy again. It is asking below for my receipt. I don't know how to get it to you but my order number is **.

I no longer trust Chewy. They keep wanting extra verification after an order and it's difficult to have to talk to a person on the phone just to place an online order. It ends up delaying the order so long that I buy the things I need from somewhere else instead.

I made an order and they told me it would be delivered in one to three days. For every day, I did not receive it. I attempted to contact them again and was told it would be delivered in one to three days. On the fourth day, I contacted them I was finally told that they had blocked my order for my own good. Huh??? And you never thought to contact me to tell me you had blocked my order. You just continue to let me believe that the order would arrive in one to three days. I will never order again from this company. I had previously made several orders from this company, but will never order from such a lying disgusting company again.

Company makes huge sales but does not support the US Military. When asked for a military discount, I was told no. The company offers refunds on returned food. I returned an entire bag, missing 1 cup, of dried dogfood due to intolerance and was shorted $25. Best to use Amazon.

I am very sorry to have to write this review since I actually believed I could trust Chewy.com with my pet's health and needs, unfortunately their AUTOSHIP program is a lie, when they say order here and be worry free is only until they hand the package to FedEx, once is in FedEx hands the delivery date can change to whatever or whenever the driver feels like delivering it. In my case I have been ordering Insulin and other medications for my 11yo Chihuahua mix dog for over 4 years, her health is getting worse with age so the vet recommended Special Pro Plan food, to make sure I always had it in stock I set up the autoship, my order is set on the 2nd of every month, giving me 2.5 extra cans before I run out.
The autoship was placed on April 2nd 2025, to be delivered on April 4rd, didn't arrive, then continue to be out for delivery on Saturday the 5th, nothing, disappeared on Sunday the 6th and now Monday is out for delivery again, I contacted Chewy to find out what is happening because now is 4 days late and I'm out of can food since Saturday night, my diabetic dog is getting ill and there is nothing I can do without her food, being special food they don't sell it in PetSmart, Walmart or other nearby locations only specific vets online have it.
My mistake was trusting Chewy, I thought they were reliable, until they hand the package to FedEx. If they wanted to be trusted they would have chose UPS, everybody knows FedEx never delivers on time unless is priority overnight and even then you may get the item by 6-8pm, I have many times received hot insulin that Chewy replaced. It never occurred to me that they would risk pet's health knowing FedEx and not delivering for 4 days, their chat people will be no help and insult you by misspelling your name or calling you out of it pretending to care, taking minutes to answer simple questions, while you see the chatbox dots moving, coming and going just being disrespectful to their customers.
Customer service line? basically said is (literally) out of our hands. Dont make the same mistake I did, if you need anything in a specific timeframe for your pet DO NOT TRUST CHEWY, they hand it to FedEx, wash their hands afterwards and tell you "is there anything else we can do for you and your pet today?", "remember to contact chewy for all your pets needs! And have an amazing day" ...I cancelled all autoships I had as soon as I hanged up with them.

I received a 30% discount coupon in the mail. Chewy refused to accept it for prescription food. Received a second 30% discount coupon 2 months later. Used it to purchase HEARTGARD, I email the prescription script to Chewy and paid them. Received an email stating I need to send them a physical copy or they will cancel my order. Chewy stated they would accept a verbal from the vet, but my vet can not be bother with having Chewy constantly calling them. Chewy customer service rep stated it was a state policy to have a written script, yet a phone call to the vet is good enough. Looks like Chewy does not like giving out 30% discount coupons! GOOD BYE CHEWY!! Cancelling my subscription today!!!!

Extremely sad that Chewy wastes my time as a veterinary technician LYING to my clients. I have to send screenshots of our empty portal and/or the dates actually put into the portal just to prove that we aren't getting their requests, while some rep from Chewy tells them they have been waiting on us to approve it for days. Then after causing these people to yell at us, the request magically appears! Former Chewy employees all over the internet share that they are TRAINED TO LIE AND BLAME US. Vultures. Get your pet supplies and meds from anywhere else.

This company is incredible. I know a lot of the services are automated but it truly is the little things. Today, I received in the mail a surprise package from them. My bunny actually died a few months ago and I’d forgotten to remove her profile from their website. This was the most heartfelt thing I could possibly get from anybody, whether she was still alive or not. I’ve spent most of the day crying about it but I’m so glad I have this to remember her by. Exceptional customer service and value. I have used Chewy primarily for our pet needs for the past 4 years. Over the past two, even more as my cat was diagnosed with kidney disease and required frequent supplies and medication. Not only did they deliver when needed, but when he sadly passed, they did way more than I would expect from a company. They helped me refund his last order of supplies and let me donate them. Additionally they sent me flowers as well as a personalized condolence note. It was so touching and I will forever be a customer because of their care and exceptional service. I felt as they they saw my pets as a member of the family and truly cared.

Worst customer service ever. Was on the phone have call log for proof 14 1/2 hours. Nothing was solved. Package will not be here for another week and a half. I will have to spend another hundred to 150 to possibly $200 on the medication that was supposed to be delivered because I’ll be outside of the window For the medication to be administered. Terrible customer service. Would never buy from or shop from again. Managers do not care. Terrible customer service.

I mailed a stack of prescriptions from my vet for my dog on March 14, 2025. They only uploaded 3 of them. On 03/31/2025 I went into Chewy online to order all of my dog prescriptions and notice I was short 4 prescription and one was her special diet food. Called that same day they told me they were missed and would upload that same day. I explained then I was running out of her prescriptions and to please get these taken care of. Well here it is 04/04/2025 and they still have not uploaded the missing prescriptions. Called them and first they said they will enter them in and all I had to do is refresh my screen. Then she came back on to say the Pharmacist had some questions on them and had to contact my vet. Again explained I am running out of some of her meds, mind you this is a Friday and by next week I will be out. I have been getting my dog's prescriptions from Chewy for 4 years now and have NEVER had this much trouble before.

Chewy charges high prices! They use FedEx that never can get my orders delivered in 3 to 4 days!! Chewy has discounts listed on their home page but when you check out, the discount is not applied! Unless you call them, you will not get the discount. I used to spend 300 to 400 dollars a month and had great service, prices and delivery. I am done with using Chewy!

I had to call Chewy after purchasing a 12 month supply and my vet office couldn't fill the prescription because there was a refill (I didn't authorize) on file. I called Chewy and asked them for a 12 month supply because that is what I originally purchased. They said they would approve a $20 discount but instead charged the full amount for a 6 month supply and no discount. I ordered and requested over the phone for a 12 month supply and they sent/charged a 6 month supply. Worse experience ever received so far... Now their online chat doesn't respond and will have to call them for the 4th time this week. It shouldn't be this difficult and not right to charge me full amount when stating they would give me a discount. SMH.

Chewy went over and beyond when my puppy decided to immediately bite a hole in the grass pee pad we bought. They immediately sent me a personal and very cute email offering a full refund (which I was not expecting) but also took the time to find out about our puppy (name, breed and age). I feel that they truly care about their customers- people and 4 legged. I am beyond impressed and will be sharing the excellent customer service with friends and family. While on a chat with customer service regarding a product for my puppy, the agent referred to my other dog who passed at 15 in October. Their information was not updated. He apologized, which was certainly not needed, was extremely empathetic and then sent flowers to our house. They now have a customer for life. Great story and amazing customer service!

Our beloved Bobby passed away suddenly. It was the hardest day for us. I contacted Chewy to cancel his pain meds. A few days later I received a small arrangement of beautiful flowers. I put them in the fireplace hearth above where he slept. It was such a beautiful gift for him. Chewy is so thoughtful and caring. They didn’t have to do that but they went the extra mile to comfort us in our time of loss.

I’ve had nothing bust great experiences with this company. Product availability, shipping, discounts, customer service; everything is designed to be easy. What was really above and beyond though, was an experience I had recently — my dog passed away this weekend and Chewy.com was made aware once I reached out to discuss return items that had delivered recently. Today, I received flowers and a beautiful note from Chewy. It was the most unexpected and thoughtful gesture and it brought me to tears. This was above and beyond and I am so thankful. Also captured in the attached photo is a small painting of Yeti. This was sent to me by Chewy about a year ago; another incredibly nice gift. Thank you for all that you do!

Chewy provided me with a full refund after I asked to return an unopened box of pet meds that had just arrived and my dog had passed away. They were quick to respond. And on top of that, they sent flowers to my house offering condolences about my dog's passing. They really care about pets.

I love Chewy. I had to fix an order because I got the weight wrong for the prescription and I mentioned we had a new baby and the dog was adjusting and they sent me a card and a book and bib for the baby. I will buy everything from them going forward. The thoughtfulness, customer service, and deals are worth returning every time!

I made my first order through Chewy in late February 2025 about two weeks before taking home a cane corso. I bought snacks, toys, a leash, clickers, feed/water bowls and a Midwest XXL dog crate. The last item is where my issue stems from. First, Chewy needs to use a shipping company aside from FedEx. The box was massive and heavy. (Emphasis on massive and heavy.) FedEx left it on my doorstep where I could barely get to my front door. I noticed there was a big hole in the box as well. That should have been my sign that something would be wrong. With a lot of effort I managed to get it on my porch and push it in the front door.
When I go to assemble it, I had to cut the box some to get the crate out because it was tightly packed. Of course, the crate was warped so bad that it would not stay assembled. I contacted a Chewy representative to set up a return because I spent $225 plus sales tax on the crate. They told me it wasn’t a problem, that they hope I will continue to shop with them, etc. I was also asked if I needed a new box shipped to me to return it. Being as the box had a hole in it and I had to cut it some I said yes. So I disposed of the damaged box. They tell me they are going to email me a label which they did and that the box would be there in 7-10 business days.
I wait the 7 business days without getting the box and I contact them. I’m told that it’s 10-14 business days. So I waited still no box. I contacted them again and I’m told it should be any day now. I waited another three or four days and contacted them again. I’m told that the box must have gotten lost in shipment. When I asked if they could tell me if it had been in fact shipped they couldn’t give me that information. I asked if they actually HAD box that would work I was told that they do. I was told that a request for a second box to be shipped would be done.
Two days later, I get an email telling me that they do NOT have a box to send to me because it was shipped to me in the box the manufacturer put it in. I was told to go ask local furniture and appliance stores for a free box. (Expecting something free from another business to return one of their items is shady in my opinion.) Or that I could contact FedEx to see if they have a box big enough for me to PURCHASE to do the return. I shouldn’t have to spend money or beg another business for a box to return one of their items. Their representatives should KNOW whether they actually have boxes big enough for returns like this. Now it’s going to be more of a burden for me to locate a box to buy because another business isn’t likely going to have one much less give it away. Otherwise, I get to take a $225 loss on a warped dog crate.

My 20 year old cat just passed and now I’m completely alone. I came home from work today and there were flowers sent from Chewy on my front porch. It helped. Even when I refunded her food, they did it immediately and asked me to donate it. I had the refund money in my account the next day and I didn’t have to go through the trouble of shipping it back. I could just stay home and cry. Throughout the years of me using chewy, they always deliver quickly and whenever there is a problem- which is rare- they are quick to fix it. Even the couple times that the problem was my fault.

They are good until they have an issue and you need a timely resolution! So disappointed!!! Monthly med order placed on 3/15 resulted in 1 of 3 meds arriving on 3/16 and a notice dated 3/15 that my order (all 3) were being prepared to ship. On 3/20 I chatted with a rep reporting that the other 2 meds were not yet shipped and that my Riley would be out of meds on 3/22. On 3/21 I initiated another chat after checking and finding the status of ‘preparing to ship’ had not changed. Rep could not expedite so she got a supervisor involved. Explained, again, that Riley would be out of meds the next day and I would be leaving town. Supervisor was able to get the order unstuck and pushed to packaging and shipping. Checked the status on 3/22 to see that it was packaged, labeled but not shipped.
So I checked it and HE was a liar as it still showed it sitting and waiting to be picked up.
I know mistakes can happen. HOWEVER, once the mistake was identified by my contacting CHEWY on 3/20, the fact that CHEWY could not figure out how to TIMELY resolve the issue is irresponsible. What happens when my Riley misses his meds? First I was told to contact my vet to obtain in the interim to which I replied they are closed. Then I was told to find a local pharmacy to get some. When these meds arrive I will be DONE with CHEWY!

I am writing this today from the experience of my sister. I have Chewy and I am 100% pleased with the company. My sister experienced an even greater side of this company. Her Beloved Dog passed away. She had just received her order of Dog Food. She called Chewy to see if she could return the Food (33 LBS). They responded with, "You can donate the food to a shelter or adoption service," and they would credit her account. They not only credited her account and extended condolences but a week later they sent her a Memorial Rock with puppy paw prints on it and her pet's name. This company is always on time with auto delivery. They are a honest and compassionate company. I am so used to the Greed in this world and this company is far from what I am used to. THEY ARE TRULY A BLESSING to pet owners and their PETS! Thank you Chewy for who you are!

We have used Chewy since 2016. We adopted a Labrador and a boxer puppy in 2015 and came to Chewy to find reliable and safe products. We have used them for pet food supplements and vitamins including medication prescribed by our vet. Their website is easy to use and they always have the products recommended by our vet. Their subscription service made it easy every month to refill their food. And the last month both of our dogs passed away. When the first one died I changed the subscription because we didn’t need as much food. When the second one died unexpectedly three weeks later I couldn’t figure out how to stop the subscriptions.
I contacted customer service on the chat and was quickly helped by a human! He canceled my subscriptions and expressed his condolences. Two days later I received a floral delivery. It was from Chewy expressing their thoughts in this difficult time. They did not have to do this but chose to and it was a wonderful gesture that I believe is unheard of today. Thank you Chewy and thank you Tanyla for reaching out. You have a customer for life.

Goodbye Chewy. I'm not sure what happened to Chewy. It used to be a reliable source for me for food, medicine, beds, toys for my babies. Lately they have impeded my orders with all this verification that they never used before. They delayed medicine to my sick girl over this verification of my account with no remorse. I have been a customer for years. Never had a payment issue or complaints. Chewy was there when my puppies were babies and now they are seniors going through health issues. It's mind boggling. In years past, speaking to a person at chewy was pleasant and calming, now they have hired combative, insulting young rude know it alls. I seriously think they farm out the customer service.
There is no way I could believe they work for Chewy. Their lines are actually recorded and they are ok with this type of conversation. Goodbye Chewy, it was a nice run, you were there for me so many times when I needed you. I have loved and lost my babies and you were there for me but like everything else, all good things must end.

I have used Chewy for quite some time and was always pleased until the past year or so I order a lot of canned cat food mostly Friskies and every time lately all the cans are crushed inside the cases and so far 2 of the cans were crushed to the point they broke open. And their prices have gone way up. Plus they don't carry all of the dry foods. I am done with them. When they were a new company they were great but not anymore..

I wish I could give a positive review, but, until Chewy changes their delivery service to something other than FedEx, I will not order from them again. I never get my order on time or without it being lost in FedEx’s delivery chaos. Their products are OK, if you can actually get them delivered.

I found a cheaper more reliable service for pet medication delivery and decided to delete my account after Chewy.com shipped the wrong medication and it made my cat sick. When I called, the rep told me it was impossible to delete my account, claiming that in three years she worked there, Chewy has never allowed anyone to delete an account, just set it as “inactive.” I insisted I wanted my information deleted and got connected to a supervisor who claimed it was but could not tell me why the rep claimed Chewy holds information forever. Very sketchy experience, no real resolution except trusting the supervisor.

I had 't used chewy much, because I was using my local Petsmart. My dog of 12 years recently got sick, so I had to buy him a case of prescription medication from Chewy.com so it could be approved by my vet. Chewy, and my vet approved it that day, and I got the new cans in a day without extra payment for the fast shipping. My dog passed a few weeks later of a heart attack, and I still had 7 extra cans from the case I bought for him. I got on the automated system to ask if I could send back the 7 cans since my dog had passed away. And not only did they make me not send the cans back, they refunded me for the entire case. And on top of that, the next day I got a beautiful little vase of condolence flowers.
I couldn't believe that I had used them once for dog food, and they did all that for me. I will only be using Chewy now, and I have been telling all my friends how special this company is, and they are all switching too. Everything I need for my new puppy and 5 cats will now always come from Chewy. Thank you for taking such an emotional time easier.

Chewy.com is great. They were fast and efficient but my review isn't about that. It's about their customer service. My dog died and within 24 hours they sent flowers with a hand written note expressing their condolences. They didn't have to do that. I wasn't expecting that.

I ordered my cat's insulin 3 days ago and the order just sat there as processing. I called to inquire about said order and was told that there was a mistake (error), with the script. The tech said my vet wrote the script for 1ml instead of 10ml. Then, the pharmacist told me it must have been a glitch on Chewy.com's end and they fixed it. Three days and no one contacted me or my vet. This is how life sustaining meds are handled at chewy.

I've been purchasing from Chewy since 2019. Their prices are pretty reasonable. I recently lost my shih-poo due to kidney disease. I had to cancel the auto shipment of her medicine. Chewy refunded my money and sent flowers showing their condolences. This really meant a lot to me. My fur baby was the best. It felt nice to know she was being thought of. Chewy, has been amazing! They have issued a credit when my dog was diagnosed with pancreatitis and no longer could eat the food I was purchasing from them. They sent my friend flowers when her dog went to dog heaven and refunded the stroller she was unable to use. You guys know true customer service.

Chewy has always been great for me. I have a dog and 3 cats, and I’m disabled so I can’t go to the store. It’s so easy just to have it delivered. My shipments have always arrived in 3 days or less except for one due to weather. The most recent one arrived the next day! I’m in favor of “reducing your carbon paw print”. However, this time the box was packed a little too efficiently. Also it may have been handled roughly. There was insufficient tape on the box and the 35 lb container of tidy cat had opened the side of the lid and litter had leaked out. It was everywhere in the box and consequently I’m my house when I unpacked it. Otherwise it’s all good. Maybe if they had used a second box and used more tape I wouldn’t have cat litter everywhere. But we love Chewy!

I have had nothing but problems with Chewy pharmacy. They charged my card twice for 75.19 for 1 order and was told the first charge will drop off (after 7 business days). They held 150.00 of my money for a 75 charge and then never shipped the order. I used their chat method to contact them. I was passed from tech to tech then no one came back to chat at all. After 3 hours they finally resolved my issue and said they would ship the order overnight and gave me a 15% discount for my trouble. Now 4 days has passed my order is complete. My order was delivered and they charged my card 58.19 (that's with the 15% discount) Now today 4 days later my card was just charged 16.99 out of nowhere which is the amount of the discount they gave me.
When I called again I was passed around until a supervisor answered. She had no explanation except that's how they do it? They charge your card for the amount they credited my card for? After they already charged me for the correct amount. The supervisor said she doesn't know why they do this and it doesn't make any sense but that charge will also drop off after 1-3 business days. It's because of Chewy that I have to freeze my cards until I am ready to use them because if I don't they will randomly charge them for whatever and whenever they want. (I forgot to freeze my card last night and of course I wake up to an unauthorized charge from Chewy) I only use their pharmacy because I cannot find my dogs medicine cheaper anywhere else. BamBam is 15yrs old and needs these meds twice a day. It gets very expensive and then to have Chewy placing multiple holds on my cards is such an inconvenience. I would rather pay more money at my vet than have to deal with these constant problems with Chewy!

Called in today to see if anything could be done about the purchase that I made 2 months ago of Simparica trio 6 months supply. My dog has grown since purchased and her weight is more than the one I purchased. The representative was very nice, professional and contacted her supervisor to see what could be done. They ended giving me a $ 1000.00 credit and provided assistance in contacting my vet for new prescription either updated weight. Did not want the rest of the medication back. Hello, My boyfriend told me about Chewy and, I have been with Chewy and they are the greatest place to buy pet food. I would buy different kinds of wet food for my cat and he would eat a little bit and then he didn't want any more, I would try something else and he ate maybe 1 can and then he would snub up his nose. I did find some dry food he likes but so far he hasn't liked any of the new wet food I tried to feed him. I would talk to Chewy and they would credit my card and the cat food I bought I give it to shelters and then I would try something else. The search engine within the Chewy site is DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS and possibly illegal(?) Check out the photo screenshot of my attempt at purchasing cat food. Chewy PROVIDES US with boxes to check for filtering. You'd think that due to that fact alone, accuracy would prevail. Nope. I urgently need no grain, no chicken. In the very first row (not like 'afterthoughts' or second choices way down at the bottom) IS FOOD WITH CHICKEN IN THEIR NAME!!!!
Apparently, trying to buy food from Chewy requires you to be totally on the ball, fully awake, 100 percent fluent in English, and ready to challenge anything presented to you. It's like being in a physical store and reaching for an item on the dedicated NO SUGAR shelf and the item you pick up in tiny print on the back has sugar as the second ingredient.

I do not recommend it. I bought a product on the 16th and was waiting for the deadline that was on the website. Today I contacted them because it had not been sent. They asked me for several details. I provided them by email, and now they wanted to call me to confirm the account. A lot of bureaucracy just to buy a package of cat food and pate. I have already bought from PetSmart and PetCo, but Chewy is such a mess.

The agent was so sweet and sympathetic and then I got this gift. I was told that it don't ship anything out on Saturday or Sunday. I talked to this one woman because I ordered insulin for my diabetic cat. My veterinary approved it and she said "OH you will get it in 5 to 6 days, we don't ship anything over the weekend. I tell that it needs to be cold because it's insulin, she did not know what I was talking about, but she claimed to be a pharmacy technician, it is very sad that she's a pharmacy. Technician because they know, what insulin means. She had no idea. Be very careful with that pharmacy. I am a customer for many, many years and I'm extremely disappointed., I make sure I never use that pharmacy again.

We got two boxes - 50 pounds each - from Chewy.com. We had not ordered the boxes, we dont have any pets. The boxes had our addresses. We phoned them to check who ordered (to know if someone is ordering in our name) and what to do with the boxes. They told us to give or throw the food away. We don't have a car which makes all of this difficult. They could also not say who ordered the goods and why it arrived to our home. This is not a serious company.

My dog is fighting a serious infection in her neck from her post surgery drain. Our vet sent her antibiotics script to Chewy on 2/17 because we were unable to travel the 2 hours back to her Dr. This was our very first time using Chewy. We received the email from Chewy on the 17th that stated "28 tablets approved for Cleo". I paid for them and they were preparing for shipment. It's now the 20th, and they still haven't shipped it.
After calling and speaking to the condescending pharmacist, we were made aware they apparently deleted her digital script, and are making us WAIT until they get another script sent electronically. My dog is going to die if she doesn't get this medicine. I swear on everything holy. If my dog dies because of their NEGLIGENCE they'll be in court. Do not trust them with the health of your pet. I will NEVER use them again. I'd rather go back to driving 2 hours to pick up her meds twice a month, than EVER put an OUNCE of trust into this company again. My dog is now on her way to the hospital because CHEWY is too LAZY to pick up the phone in FOUR DAYS to call and verify the script. They sit there on their worthless bums WAITING for electronic communication. PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THEM! YOU ARE USELESS!!

I have been ordering from Chewy for I think 3-4 years and it has always been reliable and fast shipping and the cat food I have ordered has always been fresh! I placed an order. Was told it would be here before Valentine’s Day, my dog's birthday. It was decorations and her gifts. It was running late so I told Chewy I had to go out in a snowstorm to get the party hats and decorations, you can keep those. They said, "No problem. The package will still come. Just donate the item you didn’t need and we will refund your card."
Then they proceeded to cancel my WHOLE order and told me if I want the other stuff I ordered to re-order everything and they will charge my card again.! Why would I let you charge my card again when you lied about my order and NEVER refunded me. They said I should get a refund in a week but that’s no good enough. I used my personal account to place my order but little does chewy know I spend THOUSANDS a year for my animal rescue. I’ve since canceled all autoships because the shipping and customer service has gone down since the pandemic. When I asked for my package they offered $10 off and to charge my card again. UNREAL and UNACCEPTABLE send me the package I was told I would get.

Chewy’s representative Cynthia answered the phone on the first ring. Excellent assistance to help me resolve the mess I made out of my auto-ship order. I love Chewy, food is always fresh, I can reuse all their shipping boxes because they are quality boxes unlike Amazon’s, Chewy has the best prices, biggest selection, allows a large order for pet food unlike Amazon, and I’m so appreciative having someone who is patient, kind, knows the Chewy app, and a true animal lover. I have ordered from Chewy for several years, and have never had a problem. They are easy to order from and fast to deliver. I recently watched a FedEx driver drop one of my boxes as he stepped down from his truck. I opened a 24 can pack with multiple “popped” cans and several others damaged from being dropped. I emailed Chewy to let them know what happened, and they quickly sent me a new pack. They did not have to in any way do this, as the damage was not caused by them. This is the kind of customer service you get from them. I had another time I ordered two dog gates with cat openings in them that ended up not fitting correctly. When I went to return them, they told me to keep them and maybe donate to a shelter or somewhere needing them, which I did. I love Chewy, and give them five stars+++++!

Top of the line. I am very impressed. This is my 3rd time dealing with Chewy. I thought the first couple time great buy then it will taper off. They didn't. They stand on their brand. The times I have called they have asked about my babies by name. When I had a problem they fixed it. Every time I have ordered the package has been here the next day. I just ordered something last night at about 5pm. The package just arrived via FedEx. The fed ex guy even handed it to me cause I came to the door. I took my time and did extensive research - my furbabies were special - one had diabetes and had to be on insulin and a strict diet. We worked with our vet and came up with what we ordered - our other furbaby just ate what was given. The deciding factor for Chewy was the extreme carrying attitude shown to my friends from Chewy and I mistakenly thought this was for all customers.
When my Sophey passed unexpectedly on February 5 - I was DISTRAUGHT! I happened to glance and see a Chewy auto ship was about to happen so I needed to extend that order as a single furbaby didn’t consume as much as 2. I told the rep that I had just lost my precious Sophey just hours earlier - her response “Sorry / I’ll remove her from your account.” NOOOOOO I DON'T WANT HER REMOVED!! Ugggh!! Then her next comment when do you want your auto ship? What?? No sympathy whatsoever! Fast forward 2 weeks / I’m thinking “Oh Chewy will do something to honor Sophey”- NOTHING!!
Now I’m not here for the sympathy “gift” but why didn’t I get even a card?? Soo in my heartache I contact Chewy back and ask that question- “Well I can see if I can get you a sympathy gift in the mail.” HOW CALLOUS!! And uncaring! I told her I wasn’t aware I had to ASK for a sympathy gift but nope, don’t want anything from Chewy. So I then in turn cancelled my auto-ship! Please please don’t bash me for whatever - when you are hurting and you have an anticipated response and do not even get that! You can do better Chewy!

I went on the APP to stop an autistic. I selected to have a chat specialist assist me. She cancelled the shipment with no issues. I told them that my dog had passed away the night before and I no longer needed the shipment. She conveyed her condolences and we ended the chat session. Chewy.com has truly blown me away with their kindness. I had my cat Sissy’s medication on autoship, but after a tough battle with cancer, she passed away. I normally wouldn’t ask for a refund in a situation like this, but after spending so much on vet bills, I reached out. The customer service rep was incredible—she immediately refunded me, told me I could donate the medication, and even took a moment to let me talk about my sweet Sissy. She was so kind and understanding, and I appreciated it more than I can say.
I dropped off the medication at the shelter where I adopted Sissy, and when I got home, I found flowers on my porch from Chewy. That unexpected kindness meant everything. When I’m ready to adopt again, I won’t shop anywhere else. I’m beyond grateful for this company and their team!! I have added photos of the flowers and a photo of my sissy girl who loved flowers so much. 😭💜

Chewy is amazing. Not only did they refund me the entire cost of the dog food when they found out about my dog passing, but also gave me a donation receipt and asked us to give it to a shelter (which we did). Then, they sent a flower arrangement with a sympathy card. If you don’t get your pet supplies from them, I highly recommend that you do. They are the same price as Amazon and Petco, and truly value customer service.

On January 21, 2025, I ordered food for my sick cat, who was recovering from an intestinal infection and transitioning to a new diet. What did I receive? Food that had expired two months ago—on December 1, 2024! This is completely unacceptable. I trusted Chewy to provide safe, high-quality food for my pet, and instead, they sent me spoiled food that could have seriously harmed my cat. I will never order from this store again, and I strongly warn others against trusting them. If you love your furry friends, stay away from Chewy!

I have been a Chewy customer for years. This last month they have drained my banking account. I placed my order and the funds were removed then they charged me 115 dollars for a item I had taken off the order because it was out of stock. Then they credited it back 94.88 then took it out again. Then charged me for the item I didn't order 3 times. In the long run every time I got credited the 94.88 back they recharged me. I had to freeze my account and get a new debit card. I also had to dispute all the charges. Of course they didn't offer to pay for the bounce charges that hit my account from them draining my account. Never ever again will I do business with them. I can get everything from Walmart.

I have been a totally satisfied customer of Chewy.com for many years. It's actually upsetting to be giving a one-star review but something has happened that I feel people should be warned about. My old cat needs dental work done and blood work was done to make sure she was okay for the anesthesia. It was discovered that she had kidney disease. The vet prescribed Royal Canin Renal support food with a plan to treat her kidney problem before the much-needed dental work was done. Since this was all very time-sensitive I actually phoned in my order, thinking it would speed things up. I gave the guy the full contact information for my vet. I thought everything was taken care of. Boy, was I wrong. The guy on the phone apparently wrote up a "profile" for my cat and put in that she was a dog.
I don't know what a "profile" is and never dealt with this in all the years I've been a Chewy customer. But this misidentification showed up in the prescription request. So of course the vet contacted them, multiple times, but couldn't seem to get this straightened out. I made several calls myself and each time I was assured that it was taken care of. I actually had to order this kidney food three times and have the order numbers to prove it. It's been two weeks and now and I'm getting emails from Chewy saying that they've cancelled the order altogether. This has been frustrating beyond belief. Two weeks have gone by in what was obviously an emergency situation.

I had been buying Chewy products for years then I decided to use their Autoship program and after about 6 months or more the bird food I was buying cost approximately $11.39 a bag for Autoship and then out of the blue I got charged $26.99 for the same bag of bird food. I didn't realize this until a couple weeks later, but before my next Autoship, so I called Chewy and had them pull up my account and asked them why did charge me over 110% price increase and they told me that sometimes the price varies. I asked them for a refund of the overcharge and they refused, so I told them to cancel my next shipment and cancel my Autoship and that I will never buy another thing from Chewy again.

Two days ago, we lost our 16 year old beloved dog Tanner. I called up Chewy Co. to cancel/or replace the autoship order our dogs are receiving. Chase, the customer service person who answered the phone, was very empathetic to what I was going through! He quickly made the changes needed , told me that Tanner is in their Memorial Book, and went far and beyond to show compassion during this difficult time! I have been trying to fill a prescription since 1/28/2025 for an antibiotic for 2 dogs so that they can have their dentals. I received an email from Chewy on 2/3/2025 saying they had approved the order from the vet and I could place my order, which I did that day. Today 2/6/2025, I see a 2/5/2025 email from Chewy saying they are waiting for the vet's approval, which they already had on 2/3/2025. I called Chewy, and they said they never received the 2 prescriptions from the vet, so I asked why they sent me an email on 2/3/2025 saying they had. They called the vet, but they didn't know about it because I work at that vet and faxed them myself, of which Chewy was fully aware. I told them to forget about it and I'll take all my autoships and orders elsewhere. Ridiculous!!!

I have been ordering my dog's prescription dog food and her heart and tick medication from Chewy.com for quite awhile now. Occasionally, a sweater or toy as well. Everything I order arrives with amazing speed. They have been really great to order from. The beginning of this week, I had to have my wonderful little dog put to sleep. I asked Chewy to delete my account as it would no longer be needed. They have been incredible. Yeah, so sad to see Chewy’s customer service go downhill. I’ve been a customer since 2015 and of course I’ll go in and buy when needed and definitely take advantage of the promo codes when any. And Boy, after not making a purchase in a while I did see a huge difference on the customer service with chewy definitely a negative one. Tried the chat, it’s horrible. My account got deactivated because apparently I had other accounts. I lost all my history. Had to call. They explained that chewy does not allow different accounts and one same household.
Unfortunately, with the time of the economy, there are family members living in one household. Yes each one paying rent of their own, have their own account but because it’s the same address, we cannot have our own accounts. Their worry is more because of their promo codes being used. Then why I give out promo codes if that’s the issue. Yeah, with this experience, not interested in purchasing from chewy again.

Be careful, chewy advertises certain percentage of money off, but at check out the amount taken off is less than the advertised percentage. This has happened twice in the last couple of years in ordering from chewy. If the Buyer is not careful or has not done the math you not get the appropriate discount. This seems to be a pattern over a long period of time. If Chewy is a reputable company, they will correct this ASAP.

I'm so grateful for Chewy. I've had such appalling interactions with retail stores lately. I refuse to set foot in my neighborhood Kroger again after several bad experiences. I had to find an alternative to retail stores. The day before I ran out of cat food I ordered it from Chewy. I didn't know how long it would take to arrive and was thinking what to do. I’ve been a customer of Chewy for many years. They have always been helpful and responsive. This week I had to put my dog, of fifteen years, Koko down. It was very difficult as she was my husband’s dog. My husband passed two years ago to this day. I had called Chewy to see if I could return a spendy medication. They said they could not take it back but they refunded me $100+ which in itself was wonderful. Yesterday I came home to a vase of beautiful flowers from Chewy for the loss of Koko! Wow, who does that?? My vets, where I have spent a lot of money, have only sent cards which is nice but Chewy went above and beyond! Thank you.

Liked Chewy after my first order, but not after my second order. The bones I got all seemed very old and the marrow just crumbled out. The sale I purchased my items through said everything was buy one get one free and I confirmed this with one of their agents through a live chat yet when I received my order there was only 1 of every item and they credited my account a few dollars just for half the price of the cheapest item. I purchased over $120 worth of items with each one listed as buy one get one free and I was told by Chewy.com staff that I would receive 2 of each item, instead I get a $6 credit and old treats that my pets do not like. I will not trust or support CHEWY.com again.

We have four dogs and two cats, so we're constantly in need of pet food. I use Chewy's auto-ship program for canned and dry food and often order other pet products like collars and toys. Typically, Chewy delivers within 1–3 days, even to my very rural area. Occasionally, it takes up to 5 days, but that's rare. Recently, my auto-ship delivery was delayed due to terrible weather. Though Chewy shipped the order the day I placed it, the package sat in a FedEx warehouse for over a week. After contacting FedEx, I was told the only solution was to pick it up myself—a frustrating response.
I reached out to Chewy to express my disappointment. I knew the delay wasn’t their fault, but I explained how frustrating it was to have to buy food locally while waiting for my order. The Chewy representative went above and beyond. They provided a partial refund to cover the cost of the food I had to purchase and even contacted FedEx directly to ensure my package would arrive that day. Shortly after, I received an email update from FedEx confirming my order was on its way again. This isn’t the first time Chewy has impressed me with their exceptional customer service. In every interaction, they’ve shown they genuinely care about their customers and their pets’ well-being. It’s rare to find companies that prioritize customer satisfaction the way Chewy does.
I hope they have an employee recognition program because the employees who helped me deserve it. If they do, and a Chewy representative is reading this, the question reference number for my case is #**. Chewy is a reminder of a time when companies truly valued their customers. I’m so grateful for their dedication, and I’ll continue to recommend them to every pet owner I know.

I normally don’t google how to write a review for a company, however I have had some many positive experiences with Chewy over the past 6 years I’ve been purchasing from them and I wanted to share. The staff is always so friendly and they are genuinely interested in how your pets are doing, they often refer to them by name and always ask how they are doing. Any time I have had an issue with an order they have always rectified it and made me whole again (even if it was my mistake). I really am impressed with how they treat their customers and I will always give my business to them.

I called to order my pet's insulin. I was home sick with pneumonia so I apologized to the young lady as my voice was almost gone. She was fantastic, took care of my order. She wished me well and said, "Hope you get well soon." Today I received a care package with a cup and tea and a card wishing me a speedy recovery. This took me by surprise. I TOTALLY LOVED IT. I was a fan of their prices, quick delivery, best products, and superb customer service when things would occasionally go wrong. I loved the $30 gift cards deals. I had a rather large order of food delivery a few days before I lost my dog to cancer. I asked if it was returnable and they had me donate it and refunded my money. Then six days later, I found a lovely delivery with a sweet note. I will get another dog, maybe not right away, but I'll be back! Chewy is much more than a reliable source for all pet needs. Chewy has a heart! I just had to make the decision to put my cat/child down! She had been a very picky eater so I have an entire counter filled with a large selection of pet food purchased through Chewy. I had some things still in its original packaging and called to see if I could return for credit. No, they don’t take back their food, but they offer a credit not only for the food that was originally packaged, but they reimbursed me for all the food on my countertop! I got to the point where I couldn’t even talk. I was crying so hard, their customer service rep said take a break and cry it out! She understood. So kind. My child is no longer, but I’m sure down the road, I’ll be getting another cat. I will always be giving my business to Chewy. I wish I could call that customer service rep back to say thank you for your kindness!

I cannot possibly say enough about this company! SERIOUSLY!!! I was panicking when a shipment we needed for our dog that was ill did not arrive and she could not eat anything but that food. A representative spent 45 minutes finding a way to get the food expedited to us the next day. When the Vet said the dreaded words ‘it’s time’ about our sick baby I forgot to cancel our next auto shipment and called to see if I could return it for a refund. I was met with sincere condolences and told that they would issue me the refund and ask that we donate the food to a shelter or someone in need in her honor and I cried. Not only that.. we received flowers the next day which made me cry again. In a world where plenty of people are focused on only profits this company has warmed my heart with pure kindness. BRAVO! I’d give you all the stars in the sky if I could.

I have had very poor customer service with Chewy. Placed my first order and added autoship for future orders on January 4th. On January 8, I was told my package was delivered. It is now January 13 and I still do not have a package. I called to inquire and they told me the order had been lost and they refunded me. That obviously did not help me because number one I did not know and number two I needed the things that were in the order. So I did a live chat, and a girl by the name of Victoria was extremely hateful and so I had to report her to her supervisor and her supervisor said she would be taking care of internally and she was very sorry for how rude she was. I asked again why didn’t you first of all let me know that my order had been lost and second send a new order once you realize the first one was lost.

I’ve had numerous orders canceled because of whatever algorithms trip up their antiquated systems. When you point out the issues, the customer reps ignore you and refuse to correct the issue. I purchased pet food through Chewy, but they repeatedly informed me that my order was delayed due to weather, even though it hadn't shipped yet. Every time I called for assistance, I was given the runaround, including an encounter with an agent who was extremely rude and dismissive. I was assured that I could order food locally and that I would receive a refund, but the refund was never processed. I specifically asked one agent if my request would be declined, and she told me not to worry.
When I called back to inquire about the situation, a different agent mockingly repeated my words and informed me that my request had been declined, but he would refresh his page to ensure it went through. After numerous calls and online chats, I finally received the refund in three separate adjustments. Following that, I placed another order using a $20 credit I had earned. However, Chewy blocked my order and instructed me to call in. After answering numerous questions about my account, I was told they didn't know what the issue was or how to resolve it. I ended up canceling my order and forfeiting my credit.
Additionally, I still had an auto-ship scheduled for six months out, which was also blocked. I called again for clarification, only to be told they had no idea what was wrong. Frustrated, I deleted my account. The entire experience felt like they were intentionally making it difficult for me. This company shows a complete lack of regard for their customers and their pets' well-being.

I have been a long time customer of Chewy and I have dog food and medications on auto ship. I purchase a 50 lb bag of food every 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. The medication is very expensive and I order it every 3 months. With that said the past years have been ok. My last order was placed on auto ship for 1/3/25. The warehouse is less than 30 min from me. The food hasn’t arrived yet and it’s 1/12/25… I had to buy an another bag of food to get them through.
I was told it would be here within a day or two so they credited my account $20. We all know that Proplan dog food is expensive and the 20 dollars didn’t even cover 1/2 the cost of a 18 lb bag of the same food. Now that bag is almost gone and the food still isn’t here. I contacted Chewy again and they blamed the holidays. Seriously??! I’m on auto ship. So far the food said it was supposed to be delivered once on 1/1/25 and again on 1/11/25. Now the tracking just says delayed at shipping facility. Wth… Very disappointed and now looking for another company. I don't have 200 dollars to spend on dog food every 2 weeks if the order doesn’t come! Beware. Their service is too good to be true.

We just wanted to take the time to talk about another experience we just had with Chewy.com. Our sweet boy Leo passed away last month. I had to let them know that we were canceling all of his prescription meds and had a couple questions for them about one of his orders. I have no words to describe how wonderful the Chewy company is. I had an autoship for medicine for my 10 year old Husky. I received a new order last week but unfortunately he passed away before I opened the box. I went online to return the medicine and a wonderful customer service rep immediately refunded my $80 and told me to keep them and donate to the local animal shelter. I thought that was incredibly generous and kind. She expressed her condolences to me and I hung up. Tonight a flower arrangement arrived with a beautiful card expressing more condolences on the loss of my beloved pet (and addressed him by name) - an arrangement that must of cost them at least $50. I am speechless at the compassion and generosity this company has shown during a time where our hearts are broken. Thank you to my Chewy family for all you do and did for us.

I’ve been using Chewy AutoShip for the last seven years for my precious Alaskan malamute. Unfortunately, she passed away suddenly last week. I couldn’t find on the Chewy app how to cancel the auto ship order so I did a chat session and the young man that I spoke with Was so kind and asked if I had any supplies on hand that were unopened. I gave him a list of the things that I had probably close to $200 worth and they gave me a credit for all of it and just asked that I would donate it to a local shelter. I couldn’t believe how compassionate they were and then to top it off today I received a dozen roses from the young man that I did the chat with. I’m sure at some point in the future we will get another dog and we will buy everything from chewy. I highly recommend them.

Wow has Chewy customer service gone downhill! I order a lot of meds from Chewy for my two dogs. On Dec. 26th, I placed an order and by Jan. 5 I did not receive my order only to call and speak to someone who said there was no order. I checked my call log and called back to speak to a supervisor and gave him the exact time and date I am placed my order which he found but was never shipped. My dog was out of her eye drops for glaucoma because Chewy dropped the ball. So the supervisor assured me my order would be sent.
Today I get my order and an eye drop that I did not order and not the one I did order. So I called again. Such totally incompetent people that answer the phone. It is not very difficult to say this is the eye drop I ordered and did not receive but this eye drop instead. But yet this person could not understand simple English. So then I get a call back from someone else asking me the same questions over and over. ARGH Dummies! She said, "Let me listen to the call log and see if I can ship your eye drops." I said, "Don't see if you can ship my dog's eye drops, ship them as I order from your SUPERVISOR last Sunday morning." I'm sorry to say I going to be looking for another supplier to get all my dog's meds. This is way too time consuming and frustrating to get a simple order. Incompetent customer service!!!

I find that customer service has gone way downhill lately. It is now reliant on AI chat bots who give the same canned answers to your questions without giving a hint at a resolution. My most recent order was an auto ship. Being an auto ship it was placed automatically. I am now six days after the auto ship "date" and the order is still processing. When asked why the order has not left the warehouse I am given three responses. One, the 🕳️ days were hard on warehouse staff. Two, they were inundated with orders (remember this is an auto ship). Three, inclement weather. The western US has seen better than normal weather. Clearly, none of these answers reflect reality. This is a routine cat food auto ship during good weather. There are no viable excuses. I expect honest answers and resolutions. I am not receiving service.

My elderly father had to make the tough decision to put down his cat. It affected him more than the death of a family member. He and my mother had a hard time with it. I had to dig the hole and we all cried and mourned yesterday. Chewy was kind enough to refund my dad’s last order and had him donate the remaining food to the Cat Clinic of Greenville. Today, less than 24 hours later, when my dad got back from donating the food, he arrived home to find a beautiful bouquet of flowers on his porch with a card from Chewy, offering their deepest sympathies. I have used Chewy’s autoship for dog food for a few years now. It’s always been fast and convenient. I had a recent experience that goes above and beyond what I would expect. I needed to order a new food that requires a prescription from the vet. I wasn’t sure how to upload the prescription so I called in for help. The CSR asked how I was doing and I told him not very well as I had Influenza A and my dog had diarrhea. He was very kind and helpful getting the order placed and the food came on time. Then a couple days later I received a package from Chewy. It was a get well card with a Chewy mug, tea bags and honey sticks! What a thoughtful gesture! I was flabbergasted! Chewy has my business for life!

They are really the best. I have used Chewy for my rescued cats for many years and I can honestly say that they have ALWAYS been great. The customer service agents are always happy to help, have cheery dispositions and compassion for the pet owners as well as their pets. Most Chewy agents are pet owners themselves.
When one of my pets passed away, they sent flowers and a card. So thoughtful and kind for the owners too. They are always happy to replace damaged goods. The damage I believe has always been the carrier's fault but they still happily replace the item/items at no cost to me. Happily, this is not too often. Any pet foods that my kitties didn't like, was given to kitty rescuers.
My rescued kitties and I would be lost without Chewy caring about us all. Being a pet owner opens the heart and makes us compassionate towards the needs of abandoned animals and the plight of those who rescue these poor creatures. Also, Chewy understands those who struggle to keep their beloved pets. Thank you Chewy. You ARE THE BEST! :-)

So disappointed with this company’s “Customer Service” and lack of care for their customers pets, leaving us in the negative, along with chemical soaked cat food I cannot in right mind feed my cats. Me and my family placed a few orders. One package was missing as per the FedEx photo shown. I contacted customer service asking for a refund, but was told one couldn’t be made as they already issued a replacement.
That was fine, but when the replacement order came, the Arm and Hammer Odor Eliminator arrived busted/leaking/empty all over the items, along with a Temptations Cat Treats arriving busted and open, soaked with the Arm and Hammer Spray. There was NO packaging materials used to protect the items during transit. The Arm and Hammer chemicals have soaked in the cat foods packaging, it has also soaked in/turned the “clear” plastic cat food packaging a “foggy white” with how strong the chemicals have soaked through.. I opened one (intact, but damp) pack of treats to smell test, but it reeked of chemicals from the inside! I strongly believe the cat food isn’t safe for consumption, I can’t risk feeding my cats, nor my foster cats this food.. I couldn’t live with myself if they got sick, or worse, suffered and died over this food not being safe.
I live chatted Chewy asking for a return label for the “edible items”, stating I have cleaned the non-edible items off and would like to keep those, only wishing to return the cat food stating how it was received along with photos of the damage. I was told I would hear back in 24hrs, but I never did. I then sent an email, to be told the same thing. I have contacted I believe a total of 3 times, all to be told I would hear back within 24hrs, because email and live chat can’t help me. This could’ve all been avoided had the first customer service rep refunded instead of a replacement like I had originally asked.
I just don’t understand, does Chewy not accept returns? Let alone on contaminated/unsafe for consumption food?! This was out of my control. I am appalled with this situation, and angry they seem to think this isn’t a big deal, and that this food is safe for use. I will take this loss if it means my cats are safe and won’t have a risk of being poisoned by these contaminated food products. I had been storing the contaminated cat food away in my car to ensure my cats did not get ahold of them by accident by any means while patiently waiting for a return label, but I realize now a return was never an option with this company. I am so saddened by all this mess and frustration. Lesson learned, don’t buy cat food from Chewy.com. If something goes wrong, you’re on your own.

I had the worst 3 days with Chewy. They charged me on 3 different occasions days apart for items already paid for and delivered. I had to take time out of my work day to speak with 3 different supervisors all saying the same thing, "I can see the mistake and we will fix this." It added unnecessary stress to my day. Highly disappointed in Chewy and the way they do business. I do not recommend having your credit card on file as they charge whatever they want days apart from the first charges.

However, I was dreading the usual, "press 1, now press 4, now press 3, etc." and then hold for 10+ minutes to reach a human. Not only did Chewy respond with sincerity, a personal message and link to grief resources, but I received a flower delivery from a local florist recognizing the grief we are experiencing in our family. My father recently passed away and my stepmother (his wife) informed me that when she let Chewy know that he had passed and had to change the payment info over to her name that they sent her flowers expressing their condolences. I'm a Chewy customer as well and I thought that this definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. I don't know how many other big companies or companies in general would do that. My stepmother was pleasantly surprised by the kind gesture and it brought her some much needed cheer in a very dark time. Thank you Chewy.

I cannot say enough good things about Chewy. Their customer service is next level. I’ve had issues pop up out of their control and they have always been so quick and kind with their responses. They really seem to care about their jobs and the pets who depend on them. I’ve been ordering from them since 2019 when I got my bunny and they have been excellent. I won’t order pet supplies anywhere else. There have been times where I’ll order it in the evening and it’s on my porch the next afternoon. The only company who can be faster than Amazon. They are an excellent company and I pray they never change!

I have used Chewy.com for years. They have always gone above and beyond, but normally have great deals and gift cards. Then telephone reps are always helpful, and willing to guide you through the purchasing process with whatever discount might apply. I recently sent my dog over the rainbow bridge, and had to call Chewy.com about possibly returning some meds I had purchased for her. I was met with such compassion and understanding that it made me believe in corporations again. A couple of weeks later I received a package in the mail it was from Wendy who made a beautiful Little Rock with my dog’s name and little hearts hand painted on it in a little velvet pouch. There was also a very compassionate and heartfelt note in the box. They are truly a very good company to deal with.

BAD customer service. I placed an order for a gift card on 12/17/24. Received a confirmation email, then a second email informing me that my order wouldn't go through until I contacted Chewy. I spoke with a rep who knew nothing about it, who transferred me to another person who knew even less, who transferred me to a third person... I hung up. This idiocy was done under the guise of protecting against fraud. I appreciate the thought, but the implementation cost Chewy a customer. Chewy had no problem charging my card, minutes after the order was placed.

I’m writing this review to warn customers that if you are planning to return items that you no longer want please make sure to record your packaging! I returned items that my English Bulldogs did not find suitable for their anxieties. When I did the return it was all good until it got to the receiving department. They basically said I left some items out and now I’m out $196 dollars. I will NEVER shop on Chewy. To be told I’m dishonest is just plain wrong. Now I have to file a claim with my bank to fight this out. Supervisors won’t help you. Make sure you record everything all the way until you ship it out as PROOF that you are not a LIAR!

Chewy offered me a special discount at checkout. I accepted the discount and paid for my order. The next day I received an email from Chewy stating they could not process my order. I needed to call them. When I called and spoke with supervisor, "Dan" I was told the discount was offered by mistake. Chewy was retracting the offer and if I still wanted my items I could pay for them without the discount. That is terrible customer service. If a company makes an offer and the purchase is ratified they need to accept the mistake, correct it but not force the customer to pay for their mistake. We are talking about $39. Not going to break either party, but it is the point. Shame on Chewy. Pet Flow now receives my business.

I have been using Chewy.com for over 5 years for my dog. Recently, our furry baby passed away, which, of course, has crushed us. It has been a difficult time, especially during the holidays, and we are dealing with her absence everyday. Just before she passed, we had been working with her vet and had ordered antibiotics and other medication from Chewy pharmacy to treat her. But she passed before we could even administer some of these. Now the policy with Chewy is that we cannot return pharmacy items. But I reached out to Chewy to confirm as we had not even opened the shipments. Chewy asked me to reason for wanting to return the shipments. When I explained, they were so kind and understanding and allowed me to receive a refund and encouraged me to donate the medicines to a local shelter rather than returning. Their generosity just blew me away. It was such a warm gesture during such a difficult time.
They cared to ask why rather than just reiterating the policy and allowed me to receive a refund considering the situation. I am so thankful to Chewy for taking my situation into account. They have provided me with better customer service than I’m sure I have gotten anywhere else. Absolutely wonderful customer care. Thank you, Chewy. And thank you for helping us to care for our dog in the best way over the years while she was with us.

Unbelievably Outstanding Service – A Truly Refreshing Experience! I recently opened an account with Chewy Canada to order food for my cat, and I was immediately impressed by their incredible prices, great deals, and rewarding loyalty program. However, nothing could have prepared me for the level of service I experienced.
When my order, which was expected to arrive on December 9th, didn’t show up, I contacted their customer service team just to check in and confirm when it would arrive. To my absolute astonishment, they not only provided a detailed update but also refunded 90% of my order, despite the fact that the delivery was only slightly delayed. I was in complete shock – I never expected or asked for any sort of compensation.
This level of generosity and care has completely blown me away, and I’m deeply appreciative of how they handled this situation. It’s hard to find companies that go to such lengths for their customers, and I will certainly be a loyal customer from now on. I can’t recommend Chewy Canada enough – they’ve truly set a new standard for customer service!

Chewy has made my entire family smile in a very sad time! We recently had to put our loving dog of 15 years down. It was so heartbreaking yet we knew it was time as her system was shutting down quickly. We had a full 37.5 bag of dog food that was part of the autoship program delivered 4 weeks prior. We had not opened it and decided to call Chewy to see if it could be returned. Catherine answered and expressed sincere compassion for our loss. She refunded the full price of the food and asked that we kindly take the food to a local shelter where it could help other dogs. She quickly managed the call and wowed us in a time of sadness.
The very next day a delivery service arrived at our door to give us an unexpected beautiful bouquet of flowers. The flowers were from Chewy!! The card attached was a beautiful expression of condolences for our loss signed from Catherine and your Chewy Family! I cannot express how touched and blown away we were by the incredibly loving gesture from Catherine, a wonderful ambassador of Chewy; and the company itself for promoting such outstanding caring, personal service. We liked Chewy before and are now simply over the moon impressed and grateful. Thank you, Chewy, we never expected this, you've made customers for life.

I very rarely write reviews about anything but the dealings I had with Chewy were so great I absolutely had to let people know it was like. It was 30 years ago when people really cared about their customers. I tried them for the first time this month because I could get my dogs dog food in a larger bag for a similar price to Amazon where I usually go, well the delivery on FedEx part got really messed up every day for a week, it said it was out for delivery but it never came, I finally called to complain.
Here is the result first Chewy sent me a complete second package, both my dogs food and poddy pads free of charge. Then gave me a $20 gift card toward my next purchase. This would be far more than most would do but 2 days later I received a call I initiated by them, the manager followed up, saw that the package was still not delivered so she gave me a complete refund so I could go get food for my dog. You see I have a fixed income. I had spent all I had, this company and their employees cared more about me and the wellbeing of my dog than making a buck. It was the most unbelievable experience of my life and can guarantee I will never use another company for anything I ever need for Pugsley my dog ever again. Thank you Chewy for actually caring about your customers, it really matters to me.

We lost a beloved member of our family yesterday. Our leopard gecko Mushu. Anyone who knows anything about lizards or even reptiles knows all about the amount of bulbs we go through. I’d bought several bulbs back in August and with him being gone now, I’d reach out to Chewy.com to see if it was too late to return them as we no longer needed them. The representative not only ask how our family was doing but ask about our other fur babies as well. Without any questions she immediately refunded me the full amount spent and ask that we just donate our unused product. While it was just a small act it meant so much. I will 100% be using them in the future and telling all my friends and family about them. Thank you Chewy for making this awful time just a little brighter.

I have always been a Chewy fan, but this last experience makes me love them even more!! I was having difficulty with a Prescription that I mailed (The post office took 2 weeks to deliver a priority mail letter to Chewy). I contacted the Pharmacy and spoke with a friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful Pharmacy tech. Chewy did everything they could to expedite the shipment of my dog medicine. They actually care about their customers and their pets.

On November 29th we placed an order with Chewy for cat food using the promo code "Purina" for a $40 gift card when you order $100 worth of purina products. I qualified for the offer and my confirmation confirmed it. We received an email stating they couldn't ship the order because we used a promotion that we weren't qualified for. That was for an extra percentage off of the autoship. Now it had been quite a while since we ordered from anything from Chewy (over a year) so I don't recall if we ever did that promotion. But I quickly replied to the email and said that if we weren't qualified for it that was fine, and to take that discount off. But as long as the gift card of $40 still applied, then please ship the order. If not, then cancel it.
I received another email to call them, which we did. We spoke to a young lady (Amanda?) who told us they just needed verification of our information, which we did, and the items were shipped. We received the items, but no gift card showed in our account. We called today and spoke with Natasha, who said we didn't qualify for the promotions, but they took $20 off. I said we were told we were receiving the $40 gift card and I was specific in saying that if we weren't getting that then to cancel the order. She wasn't very friendly or helpful so I asked for a supervisor.
This supervisor said that there were multiple accounts associated with our address.. they didn't realize there was more than 1 apartment here, and there is only 1 account for our apartment., which she seemd to agree with. She also said that my wife also has an account. After some searching on our part we found my wife's account that had 1 order sent to our previous address in 2018. Now we are in our 70's and I guess that one order all those years ago must have slipped our minds... Still, the promotion for $40 off of $100 was a Black Friday special for everyone, and had nothing to do with previous orders.
If they were not honoring the gift card the order should have been cancelled as I requested. Not shipped and then charged to my card. I told her to just send a return label to let me return it, it's not worth the trouble. So that's what she did, also stating I will get my refund when they confirm the items in the return. I have videod repacking the items as I don't trust Chewy to truthfully refund me as promised. What kind of company is Chewy to give confirmation of an amount and gift card then not deliver as promised?
In the end, a company needs to charge, and deliver, exactly what they state they will. They cannot change their minds and charge what they want. ESPECIALLY when it is specifically communicated to them to cancel the order if the cost and items will not be as stated. I am a 76 year old disabled Vietnam veteran on a very fixed income and don't like having surprise costs and not receive savings that were promised to me. This order was made specifically for the savings. Shame on you Chewy!

We’ve had 3 dogs over the years and we used Chewy auto ship to help save money on the special food and treats my dogs required. Ordering and managing auto shipments was very easy. A couple of days ago I received a shipment of a case of 12 cans of dog food that I forgot to cancel after my dog had passed with cancer. I called Chewy spoke to a wonderful representative named Jaime and they refunded us and asked us to donate the dog food to a local shelter instead of returning it. Today we received a beautiful flower arrangement with condolences on losing our beloved dog Bandit. As he was the last of our pets, we will not be needing Chewy until hopefully one day after our hearts have healed we will once again have a pet and then we will most definitely use Chewy again

I always get orders fast after ordering. But a autoship order that started in Mt. Juliet TN was packaged terrible! The box wasn't pushed together before taping it. There was a 4 inch gap, taped with clear tape. You could see everything in the box. I just knew half the stuff wasn't in it. Also, a wrong flavor of dog food was sent. But, I called Chewy, they straightened it out, I didn't have to send it back, they are sending the one I ordered. I'm giving the one I got to my nephew's dog, my dog was allergic to it. But all in all everything turned out well except the poor boxing up of the product, which was the only time that's happened.

My fiancé and I recently lost our dog Bear. Unfortunately we bought him food and treats prior to having to put him to sleep since that was a last minute heart breaking decision. We called Chewy and asked if we could return his food since we have no use for it. They gave us a 100% refund and told us to just donate it to the nearest animal shelter. In case you are on the fence or didn’t know, Chewy is an amazing company!!! When Cleo died they credited me back my last order of dog food and asked me to donate it to the cause of my choice (it went to help dogs in Asheville NC). Wow!!! Then they sent us a condolence card with a hand written note to not only our home, but also to the last place I had an order shipped while on vacation. On top of that we received a bouquet of roses from Chewy with another note. Today I logged into my account to order some cat food and noticed they had a section dedicated in “my pets” where you can go to visit memorialized pets. Gone but not forgotten. Wow Chewy, just wow!!! Makes me want to yell it in the streets that Chewy is an amazing company and gets how pets are our family. They have mastered customer service ♥️♥️♥️.

I purchased a name brand medication from Chewy, the small bottle was $80. Our kitten passed away when we were only halfway through the bottle and I reached out to see if I could have a partial refund to help with cremation costs. This order is what they sent online. Charges were different and when calling customer service was called a liar. Some of what we ordered came with other things we didn’t order at all. Missing a whole box of Sheba cuts at 40.00 that was charged. And no 2 boxes of cat litter deodorizer that was charged. When called Chewy was called a liar as we're monthly customers and spend a lot for cat food every month. Will not be ordering again.

I have been a customer of Chewy for nearly a decade, never had an issue or needed to return anything. My items always arrived well packed and on time. My senior dog was recently diagnosed with cancer, passed away sooner than expected. I had just placed a big order with them a couple days prior, reached out to cancel the order, which had partially shipped. Not only did they provide a refund for everything, they sent flowers and card to my door the same day. I've really struggled to keep up with expenses but with the refund I was able to cover his after care. It was such a kind, unexpected gesture. I'm forever grateful. We used Chewy for our dogs' food and medicines. Their prices, delivery and customer service were always great. We had 2 rescue GSDs. Our Koda (11) suddenly became ill and passed in March 2024. Our other girl Zoya (also 11) had hip & knee issues due to bad breeding. We had her put down last week. I called Chewy to close our account. Maryrose was so helpful, kind & compassionate over the phone. Then on Monday I received flowers & a sympathy card from Chewy & Maryrose. I was amazed. I sent a quick thank you email to Chewy & they responded with an incredibly kind email. We will forever recommend Chewy to everyone, not just for their kindness but also their fantastic service.

A few days ago, I discovered that my senior cat, Smudge, liked the Sheba beef flavor pate. There was a 25% discount so I ordered 2 boxes, which are due to be delivered tomorrow. Unfortunately, Smudge suffered kidney failure over the weekend and I had to make the difficult decision to euthanize him, which was done today. I called Chewy to see if I could pay for shipping to return the product and was told, in no uncertain terms, would I have to do that. I placed an order 11/19/2024 and received an email that it had shipped within 4 hours of my order. Talk about impressive!! It was due via FedEx on the 21st but the date got bumped back by their carrier to the following day. I called Chewy when FedEx stopped updating their tracking as of 10:00 pm Friday night and still had not updated it on Sunday afternoon. Richard with Chewy agreed there was a issue with the carrier. At 2:10 pm yesterday he issued me a replacement order. Much to my surprise it arrived today at 1:38 pm. Thank you Richard and Chewy. I truly appreciate it.

They are scam artists. They send a $20 off coupon, but can't use it on anything because it says there are deals on pretty much everything already. The deals are actually regular prices raised and then they take off a few dollars which comes out to the regular price again. You cannot use the coupon along with a deal. Scum!!!!

Updated on 11/27/2024: As the day went on I realized I had not received any confirmations via email or any other communication. I called the vet to see if they received a request for the prescription and they had not. I called Chewy back yet again and found out the order still had not been processed. This was late in the day and literally had 30 minutes to get this resolved or we would have to wait yet another day for the medication. This rep was very helpful and she had the pharmacy call and verify the prescription verbally with my vet. During the call she let me know that chewy was very generously going to overnight the medication to me. However, because of the time difference it would not go out until the next day.
When I received the email confirmation of the shipment, imagine my surprise to find out not only was it not overnight but due to the Thanksgiving holiday my dog was going to have to wait an additional 3 days to have her medication. The only reason I ordered these meds from chewy.com is because they were compounded and I could not get them locally. In the meantime my dog has gotten sicker and sicker. I am extremely distressed and furious with a service that I received. You and your pet deserve better than dealing with this incompetence.
Original: This is a review for pharmacy/prescription services. BE AWARE--I placed an order on a Thursday for a medication my dog needs that is unavailable locally. There was an issue with the order that I immediately called and thought was corrected. On Monday, I had not received a notice that the medication was shipped, so I called. There was an issue with the order in their system, and I was not notified, as the helpful CSR on the line advised. If I had not called, the order would still be in limbo. Now I have to sit here and monitor my email to see if the prescription is filled today and shipped. In the meantime, my dog is suffering and in need of this medication. I can't help my dog. Chewy.com made me cry but in the most perfect way ever. I ordered Dasuquin joint health 84 chews for large dogs for my pup. Somehow my purchase was delivered to the wrong address and I was positive that I wouldn't be able to retrieve the product. I emailed Chewy and they were on it with a replacement order that day. Gosh. They apologized to me and they made it right. They told me to extend their sincerest apologies to Ava, for the delay in her package. Wow. No other company has ever apologized to my pup before. This is exactly why I shop with Chewy. They know that she is not just a "dog" but is a family member.
They are the best company for delivery of all my pups needs which are many. I commend them! I recommend them! I stand by them and and am honored to be one of their customers whom they call family. On Nov 16, 2024 I contacted Chewy.com to cancel an automatic renewal for revolution for our GSD Molly as she passed away Nov 15, 2024. The agent was so kind and compassionate of our loss, and cancel any future order. Today Nov 20, 2024 we received from Chewy.com beautiful flowers for Molly. I put them on her grave and I know Molly appreciate it as much as we do. I will keep doing business with Chewy, because they really do care. Today was the last straw. Chewy would periodically claim that they were unable to contact our vet for an authorization, yet when we contacted our vet, they would have no requests from Chewy, and this is for food that we regularly order every few weeks. Today I received an email from Chewy threatening to cancel our order if we did not upload an authorization within 48 hours. I replied by reminding Chewy about the previous attempts that our vet never received, and added that if they cancelled our order, it would be our last. I received an email almost immediately stating that Valerie E. cancelled the order had been cancelled per my request.
When I replied that I did not cancel the order, they did, Erika D. tried to imply that the cancellation was automated but offered a discount for the confusion on their part...now we have lying since Valerie E. stated she cancelled my order per my request. I just placed an order from PetMeds who, ironically enough, never had any issues with vet authorizations before we stated buying from Chewy.

I called Chewy last night after receiving an auto-ship package of cat food that I thought I had canceled. I explained that my cat had recently passed away. Not only did she immediately refund me for the food, allow me to donate it rather than sending back but when I came home today there were flowers that had been delivered on my doorstep. Confused, I read the card and it was from none other than Chewy with a beautiful note about the loss of my beloved animal. I also told them that I needed to request expedited shipping because now that I have to mail it in my dog was going to run out of her meds before normal shipping would get it to me. The customer Service representative acted like helping me was very burdensome and told me he can request it, but he can’t make any promises. Four days later my order gets canceled because they faxed the vet even though I mailed the prescription in five days ago. My dog is out of her meds, necessary daily living, do not trust with any animal that you love. This is such a horrid experience.

I do business with MANY online companies. Chewy…is by far the most incredible company I know of! Their customer service is beyond compare! Always helpful with product orders and on a rare occasion a return. They even sent me a get well card this week! My voice was so bad last week when I called that the girl that helped me felt sad for me. Anyway, this company is awesome and has great prices! Highly recommend!

We now shop elsewhere and I'd advise the same for others.
- Wide selection of products
- Sometimes you get good customer service (other times it's terrible)
- Market prices on products, no price gouging
Cons:- Customer service has tanked over the last 2 years.
- Longtime buggy website that causes what they consider errors, they cancel or stop your order, and if stopped and you contact them, they push the blame on the customer as having entered already used promo codes or discounts when none were added by the customer. They're added by their system and not something the customer can prevent.
- Delays in order processing that can cause one to run out of pet food, miss a gift date, etc.
- Prices are not competitive, just average market.
- Unreliable

These guys are amazing. I had a problem and a delivery issue so I called Customer Service and talked to Justin. He went above and beyond. Not only Did he fix my issue but he also made me feel like a VIP.!!! Thanks so much!!!!

Chewy provided prescription dog food to treat kidney disease, regular dog food & treats. Service was excellent. When my dog died, Brittany was compassionate and helpful. Chewy sent a beautiful sympathy bouquet and refunded the cost of the leftover prescription.

If anyone wonders if Chewy provides a good service, the answer is a resounding YES! We used them for meds as well as the usual pet food etc. When we lost Sweet Pea, Doodle and now Ricky, they refunded any of the cost of food and meds we were no longer needed. We just received this memorial rock and a card from them which I think is above and beyond kind.

I am above and beyond appalled at Chewy! So many good reviews but their product has sent my cat to the vet multiple times, she's getting sores all over her neck and scabs!! I'm honestly heart broken. I've had to take up a second job with Uber that pays literally nothing unless people tip and that's few and far between. All Chewy has done is offer me a free skin product!!!
