    Recently purchased from Chewy and received one can with mold, very strong ammonia smell. Had to throw away and couldn’t feed my cat, very disappointed. Friskies is a brand we usually rely on and never went to anyone else.

    Awesome company. I was set up for auto ship for my dog food and tic meds. Sadly, my dog Simba passed away 8/31/25 😞. I had unopened bag of very expensive food as well as tick meds. I took a shot and called and explained what had happened. They were very understanding and gave me a full credit and did not ask for a return but that I could donate it all, which I did. Awesome company!!!!

    Bad experience with damaged and broken seals of cat food although the box looked good. Some of the cans had dents and the seals were broken and when you opened it the food was spoiled and smelled awful. I like the easy ordering and variety of products but going forward I'll be going to big box stores for canned cat food and I can easily return bad food.

    I used Chewy for the past year for my chickens, cats and rat feed. Recently we had ordered a big bag of rat feed. We placed half the bag in a plastic container upstairs and left the remaining food in the bag by our kitchen island. Well after a week my husband noticed little moving particles on our ninja machines located on the kitchen island. To our discovery the feed of rat food was infested with grain mites, almost microscopic bugs. For a month we had exterminators come countless sleepless nights all while sending photos and videos to chewy and waiting for them to advise if they would be reimbursing for damages that occurred from products delivered. After a month long we were contacted by a manager who advised they decided to not reimburse anything from what had occurred. I wanted to at the very least share our awful experience in hopes of saving another family from turmoil.

    I’ve been shopping with Chewy for a lot of years. I’ve always been more than satisfied with their service. We all know how fussy our pets can be about their food and one of the things I appreciated most about Chewy was their policy of refunding the customer and having them donate the unwanted food to a charity. My local charity always commented on how appreciative they were about this practice of Chewy’s. Then Chewy+ happened. I joined. I have 3 cats and Chewy + was a good deal. You can’t imagine my surprise when I had a chat about food my boys wouldn’t eat and was told to “send” it back. A free shipping label would be provided and I should return the food. I asked why the change and was told that it was “a case by case” decision. That was insulting and I said so. I asked what about my case made that decision and got no answer.

    I wrote to Customer Service and for the FIRST time since I’ve been a Chewy customer, my email was ignored. Now, chewy cannot return to the manufacturer the food I return, they would either have to resell (which I think would not be legal) or donate. So, I don’t understand the benefit of them having me send food back. Is it because I’m not a chewy+ member and get a discount? I don’t know. I do know that I’m not happy with the change in customer service. And I know that despite the convenience of being able to shop on line and having the food delivered, I will be cancelling my membership. It’s up to me to not put up with bad customer service.

    I am so speechless. I just found flowers delivered on my front porch from Chewy with a handwritten note about the loss of our 2 dogs. I guess when I remove them from account and stated they had passed chewy was informed. I am so shocked at this incredible gesture and they have a customer for life.

    I accidentally sent my order to an old address in a different state. I called customer service on Labor Day. Immediately a lovely man answered. They were able to reroute the order without delay to the shipping ETA and without charging me. He was absolutely fantastic and kind. He removed the old address on my account and ensured that my authorship order would arrive to my current address in the future too. Great experience! Highly recommend Chewy!!

    I gave a Chewy review warning people that the Reveal Cat Food I ordered were the larger 5.5 oz cans. My cat likes the small cans. I didn't think to send them back to Chewy. But customer service saw my review and sent me an email, offering to send me a return label. And it was a lovely email. Asked about my cat and said they would love a picture and any stories I had about him. This is not the first amazing experience I had with Chewy. Their leadership is smart!

    If I could give this company a no star then that would be my choice. I signed up with Chewy care plan for both my furry babies about a year ago because I heard they were the best in town. Upon switching I noticed one of my babies' health started going downwards. 1st one of my dog went blind- I brought my pets in for a wellness checkup a few times and one would have thought as a veterinarian they would have knew what a wellness checkup includes. Well after my dog fell in the pool I brought him in for a checkup again after I had to wait a whole month for an appointment and I was told that his vision were completely gone in both eyes.

    They referred me to the eye doctor who conducted some testing and called me back 2 days later saying his iron was extremely low and need to be seen by his veterinarian as soon as possible. I called Chewy the same day to make an appointment; once more I had to wait a whole week; then I left work early for my appt. and was told they might have to reschedule me because the facility had some type of spill and wasn’t accepting any patients. After I kept raising hell and getting upset they told me they were able to get me in with the Plantation location. I didn’t get a confirmation email or text that my appt. was changed and the address of the location so I called back to confirmed my appointment only to be told I have no appointment and she doesn’t know what I’m talking about.

    I started to get upset because at this point you’re playing with both me and my dog’s health. They finally got their mess together and confirmed my appt. When I got there there were no parking; I had to continue driving around in circles for 30 minutes before I was able to get parking; by the time I got inside the building I had to wait another 20-30 mins before I was able to be seen by a doctor. After speaking with her and examining my dog she recommended some tests which was a total of about $800 and I told her to go ahead. Only for her to come back and told me that they’re not going to be able to do the tests today because they’re getting ready to close. Like whose fault is that?

    My appt. was at 4 at the Coral Springs location. So the next day I called the Coral Springs location to schedule an appointment for the testing. I went the next day and started the testing. At this point my dog’s health were deteriorating so badly that after one of the testing and be finding out that he had cancer in his stomach he wouldn’t stand a chance to go through with the other tests or a procedure and they were telling me about putting him down. Not only that his eyes were getting worse and I could tell that even with him being prescribed a pain medication he was still in pain and didn’t wanna be bothered. He wasn’t eating, wasn’t using the bathroom, all he did was sleep and I felt so terrible as a dog mom watching him like that. So had no other choice but to put him down.

    About a month after I put him down I was sent an email saying that they will no longer service my other pet because during all that mess I was dealing with I happened to curse at one of their customer care representatives. Like seriously? Where’s the understanding on your guys' part with all that I was going through? Every time I tried to get an appt. I had to wait. You guys automatically withdraw $39.99 every month for both pets; not once have my bank card declined so why can’t I be seen by a doctor especially when the care plan says “there're no wait for an appointment”.

    Then it gets worse; after I was unable to get an appointment one of the rep told me to just bring my pet to another veterinarian because their schedule weren’t filled up; I asked her why would I do that when I’ve already paid you guys? Suggesting that as if I wouldn’t have to pay an examination fee to be seen by another facility. I can’t remember her name but one of their veterinarian at the Coral Springs location has no empathy, sympathy, care nor compassion. She’s very negative and kept telling me to just put my dog down. This was the worse experience in my life.

    I have been a Chewy customer primarily, to get meds for an aging golden retriever for a couple of years. Getting and adjusting deliveries could not have been easier. Unfortunately, recently I had to cancel my service with Chewy as my pet passed, which I explained in the comments why I was canceling my service. To my amazement, 5 days after she passed, I received a simple flower arrangement to my front door with a handwritten note expressing sorrow for my loss. Chewy, thank you for customer service that can't be matched.

    I had a good experience with Chewy until recently. My dog is on heart medication, which literally keeps him alive. When I needed a new prescription my vet requested Chewy contact her for authorization. Chewy kept contacting an old vet in another state who I kept telling them I no longer see since I've moved. I called 4 times to find out why it was taking so long to receive the medication. Then ... I received a call from a pharmacy tech advising they just called my current vet but their office was closed for the day. What??? Now my dog has no medication over a long holiday weekend.

    We have been customers of Chewy for many years. They carry quality products and their customer service is outstanding. But they did something today that is astounding and I want everyone to know. Our account was in my husband’s name. Unfortunately, he passed away a couple of months ago. With my latest order, I told the representative he had passed and that I needed to update the account to my name. She offered condolences, which I appreciated. Then today, I got a package delivered, and it was roses from Chewy with a note of condolence. There’s not many businesses anymore that treat customers with such kindness and respect, so I felt it was worthy of a web review. Thank you so much for the kindness you have shown me in this difficult time; it is greatly appreciated. I will continue to be your customer and recommend you to any and everyone we know with pets.     Charged twice. Customer service says we’ll prove you didn’t order both shipments and receive both. Spoke with a supervisor and they said well I don’t know why we canceled your first order but we charged again and you got the second order (which was 20 bucks more). Only received one order and they won’t refund the money saying they proved I received both orders. Put a dispute with the bank and they said I have to dispute the first order now as they proved the second order was received. Charged at a higher rate and charged twice. Worst customer service as well. Will Never ever order from Them again.

    I have horses and I order my sand clear through Chewy due to price and quantity. Three weeks ago, my horse Dallas, had a strangulation lipoma colic and unfortunately did not survive. I received in my mail yesterday, a box from Chewy, and inside was a horseshoe (iron) that was painted with beautiful flowers and his name written on the horseshoe along with a beautiful card with a lovely condolence. What company goes out and does this. I was absolutely heartbroken and for was so touched by this amazing gesture. Chewy will have my business for life!

    This the second time I’ve had issues with this company. My dog weighs 8 pounds but they can’t figure out or make a decision based on the prescription from my vet. Instead I am trying to get resolution from ** customer service. I ended up cussing the person out and cancelled the order because I had already resolved the issue 5 days earlier and spent half hour trying to get it straightened out only to have to call again with people who can’t make a proper decision. Then they voided my discounts after that and were going to charge me an extra $60. This company is not good. All over isn’t any better. They lost my prescription and would not notify after assuring me they would. Both companies left me hanging when I am just trying to get my pet his medication that pretty much due to his age is keeping him alive for the time I have left with him.

    I've been a customer with chewy for several years with our three pets. We love the auto ship feature - and the reminders that their product will be shipping so we can delay it if needed and don't end up with a surplus. We recently said goodbye to our cat, Raja, and thus stopped the autoship for her litter. Upon learning the reason why we stopped, chewy not only made it simple to stop the order but also went above and beyond to send flowers to us as we grieved the loss!     I recently had to put my dog down due to kidney failure. I had an auto shipment set up for my dog for medications not related to her kidney failure.     Chewy uses FedEx exclusively and their shipping is beyond terrible. A shipment of rabbit food and hay has been "out for delivery" for three days and now is scheduled for tomorrow (ya, I believe that). Never again! Amazon has the same or better prices and truly two day delivery. Bunnies say Amazon all the way.

    I have been using Chewy.com and their autoship option for quite a while now and absolutely love the convenience!     A couple weeks ago, I ordered my dog some dog food and bones from Chewy per usual. However, it never showed up which has never happened before, so I gave them call. I was super sick at the time with a sore throat and had lost my voice, and I apologize to the guy on the phone if I sounded upset or rude as I just had no range in my voice. Anyways, they reordered the dog food, and received 2 days after the call. The guy was super kind and helpful! A week or so goes by and look what else they sent in the mail!!!     This comment is geared towards the company as a whole. I have been buying from Chewy for many years. We had to put our 13 1/2 yo golden down on 7.25.25. I notified Chewy to memorialize his profile. I had to go out of town the following week and when I returned, we had an amazing painted rock and beautiful card.     We tried to purchase a Chewy eGift card for our son's cat on our son's birthday, using a perfectly good credit card. Instead of the card coming in an e-mail, we got a request to call them. The agent went through the whole order, and then said it would go to another office who would call us within 24 hours to go over it again to confirm it. We just said cancel the order.

    Anyone else having delivery issues from Chewy.com? Used to be 100% spot on but last week we (Anniem account), didn't receive the Thursday delivery & then again the Sunday replacement order. I now have no cat & dog food inhouse. Customer service is always very helpful but just wondering? I now have to go pet store & who doesn't sell the special food my dog needs.     Just lost our best friend, Bella! Her 1st 3-3 1/2 years of life were as a breeder at a close phrased 'puppy mill' where she was not a 'large litter' momma, so they gave her to us 10-11 years ago. She was the most faithful, smart friend to my husband and I. She injured her ACL so her vet put her on a pain and anti inflammatory rx. We professinally braced her leg which helped her improve. She contracted cancer on a hind back toe on the same leg. We had it removed and then a lymph node swelled shortly after healing of the removal. We went with Chewy on an autoship for her two Rxs. Not only was Chewy's much cheaper than the cost at the vet, but they shipped directly to our home. She broke her front leg and we had it casted. After 2 weeks in cast, she woke one morning not able to use her back legs. We had her put down. Called Chewy to see if we could return her last autoship, which the shipping box had not been opened. They told us to discard meds and issued us a FULL REFUND. Then two days later, we received a delivery of FRESH FLOWERS with a sympathy message. JUST UNREAL in today's world. Thank you Chewy!

    I live out in country, so Chewy is vital to my dog's health. He had diabetes and is old. The ordering process is easy and very affordable. This last order I received some dented cans that were bad. I chatted in the app with a customer service rep. They immediately replaced the product with another brand and shipped it out immediately. I was very impressed. They are a great company with very good customer service.

    Chewy has been there for our girl Sadie for several years. They always got her food and meds shipped to us quickly and without hesitation, if I needed a med expedited, they did just that. Each time I would call, whoever answered was so polite, friendly, and helpful. They went above and beyond to insure Sadie's needs were met and fulfilled. For Sadie's 12th Birthday, Chewy sent a hand painted portrait, on canvas, of Sadie. It looks so much like her, It was such a wonderful surprise and greatly appreciated and loved. They were saddened to hear that our little girl Sadie crossed the Rainbow Bridge August 6, 2025. We thank Chewy for being there for us & Sadie for so many years.

    I have been ordering from Chewy.com for over 10 years and have never been more impressed with a company. Chewy offers an amazing selection of items and stands behind all of them. If you are not happy with your item, they either accept it back for a full return or suggest that you donate it to a local animal shelter. What stand over even more is the outstanding staff that is more than helpful and exceptionally engaging. Most recently, I had reviewed a cat food that I had ordered. Unfortunately, my cat's system didn't agree with it. Chewy not only reimbursed me for the food but followed up to see how my cat was doing with the new food that I ordered. I had the pleasure of interacting with one of their amazing customer service individuals, Alexis. Not only did she exceed all my expectations with her assistance and humor but sent me a handwritten card with treats and toys for my kittens. Chewy's commitment to customer service exceeds excellence!

    My cat Binx had to be put to sleep recently and I bought insulin and needles just before that. Chewy.com reimbursed me for those items no questions asked! A few days later, I received flowers from chewy saying how sorry they were about Binx. NO OTHER COMPANY DOES THAT!!!! Now THAT is customer service!! On previous occasions I’ve had to return things and had no problems. I find that Chewy has the best price on most items. Great company and THE best customer service! Thanks so much Chewy!!!

    I wanted to leave a review because I have had nothing but great experiences ordering with Chewy.com. The products I've ordered have been exactly what I wanted. Also I recently had a package that didn't make it to my door and I was blown away by how EASY it was to just get a new one shipped out to me with obviously no cost. I didn't even need to ask them to send me another one, they just did. Also, I was in disbelief when I called the 1800 number and within 30 seconds a HUMAN answered. She apologized and just fixed the problem. I am now a forever Chewy customer.

    I called Chewy to order some food yesterday. I always order by phone because I am a senior and have a difficult time online. After being frustrated with Xfinity customer service it was so refreshing to speak with Samantha at Chewy. The people who work there are always friendly and helpful and Samantha is no exception. It never takes more than 2 days to get my order. I love Chewy! They have the best customer service. I would recommend them to anyone.

    I've been ordering from Chewy's since the company was founded and have always been very satisfied with everything about Chewy's. They have an amazing selection and great customer service 🥰. That being said, we need to address their relationship with FedEx. FedEx USED TO BE a top notch delivery company, but have recently been falling short. My Chewy's orders are delivered to the wrong address and significantly delayed in recent months. Chewy's is awesome and always steps up to make things right for the customer. This has to be costing Chewy's financially and that cost may eventually be passed on to loyal customers. I encourage Chewy's to research and partner with a more reliable delivery company. Personally, I have been ordering items from Amazon that I previously ordered from Chewy's. I do this because an Amazon delivery is more likely to arrive on time to the correct address.

    I have been using Chewy for many years but then found out that using Amazon was faster. However, Amazon is no longer able to supply V.E.T. Veggiedents. I called Chewy and tried to place an order. The Chewy representative was rude and appeared to not know the product I was trying to order. I simply explained that they are V.E.T. Veggiedents Fresh Tater Control Chews Medium size that I found on their own website. It became very exasperating trying to communicate with this person. I hung up and will never use Chewy again. I found the same product at Vet Rx Direct.

    If you have sick animals and you are in need of a specific vet prescribed dog diet, we strongly urge you to go elsewhere to order your dogfood, because it will take Chewy a minimum of 5 days to deliver the food to you. It takes Chewy 2 whole days to upload your prescription attachment, because as the friendly customer service agent explained to us, they get thousands of prescriptions per day and therefore it takes at least 2 days to get through all of those. After that, they need an approval from a different department, and only then it finally gets processed for shipping, which takes another day. Shipping it to your house takes another 2-3 days minimum. So if you can wait 5-6 days to feed your sick dog who has already lost a bunch of weight due to an illness, then order from Chewy. But if you want your dog to regain his strength and normal body weight without starving him for an additional 5 days, then please stay away from the Chewy pharmacy.

    I cannot say enough positive things about Chewy.com and their customer service. I lost 2 fur babies in 1 week, not only did Chewy refund my money they did not make me go through the process of sending back what I had ordered, but no longer needed.     Every single experience with Chewy has been delightful, and I have used them all, but tonight was unique and frightening. My 13 year-old 7 lb Chihuahua/Pomeranian found himself of two very aggressive female pit bulls, and thankfully I was close enough and a friend was nearby to separate them and free him pretty quickly but not before he had been roughed up a bit. I however needed a trip to the hospital but, a few stitches is nothing compared to the pain I would experience losing him, that way. But we were over 10 hours away from getting home to our vet, and of course it's a weekend and we were unsuccessful finding any after-hours emergency care near us.

    I was frantic because he was so traumatized and vocal about pain and fear, I needed reassurance that I was doing what was best for him and wasn't doing more harm. I needed to talk to somebody, and a quick Google search took me right to my Chewy app where I saw talk with a vet now, and I could have cried, because I knew I was going to get help even though I had never use their service or even knew that was available to us. I was getting a response immediately to my inquiry and that wonderful woman, Jenna, actively listened and asked very thoughtful questions with clear concern and professionalism, making very wise suggestions and more than anything, reassuring me that I had enough information to make sure he was going to be okay.

    She was so prompt in providing links to more in-depth articles that would prove so helpful, and also looked up every possible urgent care vet within 2 hours of my location and in a second provided all of their information. It is so rare to have a conversation with a perfect stranger that changes your whole existence in such a profound way. Chewy gets us. There are genuine, incredible human beings on the other ends of those hyperlinks, chat boxes, phones, and perfectly timed mailers to celebrate birthdays or remind of medications that are coming, and occasionally some very good deals and coupons or reminders of an upcoming auto shipment.

    They know how much these critters mean to us, and you can physically feel the concerns they share, because they have pets too and they treat all of ours like their own. When I opened that chat box for urgent veterinary information and advice, I really had no idea what to expect, and to be honest past experiences with other retail apps, this kind of thing we usually disappoints or leaves me incredibly frustrated and my problems unresolved. I want to recognize Jenna and literally every single person who's ever filled one of my many orders for a dozen or more pets over the last decade and then some. I truly feel like I am getting a gift every time I open a box because I know my little guy is better for it. The best toys, treats, and an in this variety of quality curated meals for my picky eater.

    One thing none of us ever want to think of, let alone prepare for, is that day that always officially must come, and it will be one of the hardest days lived for us who must say goodbye. I can't tell you what it means to have a company of the people I think of as friends, because who else would take the time to acknowledge the cessation of your auto shipments, and what that too often means. Receiving a sympathy card from Chewy meant everything. That is what friends do. I wish I could meet every one of them and their four-legged best friends at a barbecue or out at the dog park. I always keep a ball and a bag of treats in my car just in case we do.

    Previously prices were lower than other pet stores. Generally speaking, that is no longer true. Or -the difference is negligible. They send coupons for birthday savings, but restrictive... can never find anything I need that 'qualifies' for the 20% off. Disappointing! There is nothing over the top about Chewy that warrants a recommendation. I'd rather support my ma and pa pet stores.

    I love Chewy. They stand by the products they sell, have excellent customer service. I have successfully used Auto-Ship, products are shipped and delivered very fast. I’m Also a Chewy member, so far this is also proving to be a great service. I use Chewy for Dog, Cat, Chicken and Cardinal bird seed. I’ve also used the Chewy Pharmacy with excellent results. I highly recommend Chewy. I’d like to review backyard Chicken feeders for them.

    I've been ordering from Chewy for a long time, and would've ordered more thanks to their new chewy+ annual subscription that gives free shipping regardless of cost and guarantees fast shipping if they had rolled out this subscription service sooner than they did (Amazon Prime has some serious competition now). Throughout the years there have been minor problems of me receiving a wrong item, damaged item, or no item at all (honestly think there were 3 or 4 occurrences total) but all of them were resolved instantly by the amazing support staff in chewy customer service, they replaced damaged or missing orders with no questions asked even though I offered to send in pictures of dented cat food cans that looked like they were dented during the manufacturing process rather than while in delivery transit.

    When my cat was diagnosed with kidney disease and we had the oh so very stressful experience of discovering that she would rather starve than eat any prescriptions wet food, Chewy reimbursed me the cost of the food and asked me to donate the remaining food to any cat rescue, shelter, or cat parent that could use it - when I received wrong items in my order they also insisted that the items be donated rather than returned to them. Every time I've spoken with a chewy representative on the phone it has always been the best customer support experience I could've ever hope for, I loved hearing their own pet parent stories and I always appreciated them asking me about my cat and asking me to give her some extra love from them. They send out birthday cards too if you tell them your pet's birthday, I feel ashamed that I never thought to get my girl a birthday card with her presents now that I think of it.

    This past year though, chewy has been the most compassionate, kind, and unexpectedly thoughtful and generous company I've ever dealt with. My cat died in my arms a few days ago and I needed to cancel her upcoming auto shipments on chewy, and memorialize/remove her pet profile so I wouldn't get any personally tailored emails with discounts and deals to buy stuff for her and this morning (afternoon actually to be honest) when I woke up there was a beautiful flower vase left for me by my front door from chewy, sending me their condolences on the loss of my Gracie.

    It has been a rough past few months trying to balance conflicting treatments for Gracie's health conditions and I regret that I didn't send in proper thanks and recognition for the most incredible thing they did for me - they sent me a hand painted portrait of Gracie for national pet month, and I (jokingly) swear they might be partnered with Google to spy on phone owners to learn what they want for pet portraits because I have a wall of portraits of Gracie, mostly made by my artist mother, and I was complaining to her that it was so difficult to figure out how to place the portraits because most are of her facing towards the right, a few of her looking forward, and only one of her facing the left.

    I told my mom I needed her to make me more Gracie art of her looking towards the left and a month later I received a beautiful painted portrait of Gracie looking to the left! Asides from the day Gracie and I met and she ran into my arms when I asked her to let me help her, I have never ever been so lucky as to get exactly what I wanted, and I honestly never expected chewy of all companies/persons to be the one to deliver it to me without any prior notice that I'd be getting a new Gracie portrait. It really was the most beautiful gift I ever got without having to ask for or sign up for, etc.

    Gracie was battling an IBD and pancreatitis flare when I got the portrait from chewy and it made me cry with joy that a company could care so much about Gracie and my love for her that they'd send me a custom made painted portrait of her out of the blue. Truly amazing company, their genuine care for pet well-being is unmatched and they have always made it possible for me to be able to afford to feed and care for my Gracie while also spoiling her with extra toys, treats, and cat trees - I've also been able to spoil my mom's cats with high quality, sturdy Frisco brand cat trees that they spend a majority of their waking lives using.

    I hope chewy has made a customer service and company ethics/values how-to manual that literally every company could benefit from learning from because I have never experienced a company that actually backs up their so called 'core values' with actual actions that prove they are dedicated to their core values of helping pets and those who care for them.

    I am so impressed with the customer service and care that Chewy provides. They really go above and beyond. My beloved cat just passed and I called to let them know that I needed assistance with canceling two auto-ship orders that were prescribed by my vet since my cat passed away. The agent was very compassionate and sweet and made the process smooth and effortless. Today, I came home to a bouquet of flowers from Chewy offering condolences for the loss of my cat. I was shocked. How many corporations actually put that kind of effort into caring for their customers? They don’t treat people like just another number, they make an attempt to show that they care about your pet and you as a client. Thank you, Chewy. I really appreciate the kind gesture during this difficult time. I will never forget that.

    I have been a customer since 2016. Having huge bags of dog food and heavy boxes of kitty litter delivered to your door is so worth it! I have never had a single issue with them in all these years! This past weekend I had to cancel my subscription for the big bags of dogfood because my boxer passed away.     My dog recently passed away. The day after his passing his autoship dog food showed up. I reached out to Chewy.com to see if I could return it and they instead offered their sincere condolences and refunded my purchase and just told me to donate the dog food.     Company is fraud. They list products they don't have, and wait days later to tell you then say choose something else and when they put the same product in list for you to choose seriously but yall don't have it, and yall fraudulently still have listed. Then I'm told order canceled but where's my money, oh I'm told nothing to refund but yet I don't have the money you all still do, when I tell the incompetent person you realize the choices listed is the same thing you tell me you don't have, the reply is I need to get this to higher up, so I am right, you are fraud and you listed products you don't have and then say nothing to refund but yet I don't have my money back, first time experience proved corporate fraud and greed.

    Chewy is probably the best company that I have ever purchased from. They have lots of options to choose from, and the customer service is excellent. If you call them on the phone, you get an actual human being pick up immediately. If a product is not working for you pet, they will refund your money, and tell you to donate it to an animal shelter. Chewy also autoships my pets medication, so I don't have to remember to get refills. I can't say enough good things about Chewy.

    I have been ordering from Chewy for a few years now. They have good deals and online ordering makes my regular pet shopping a breeze. I've had one or two delivery issues in the past (at no fault of Chewy). The carrier had made a mistake, but Chewy was fast at resending my order, which was much appreciated. I've always been greeted with a warm welcoming voice when I have needed to call customer service. I don't need to jump through hoops spending 20 minutes pressing numbers to reach a live person! That's a huge plus.

    On a more personal note, I recently started letting my cats on to my porch to enjoy the nice weather. I've never let any of my pets outside but I figured they would be safe from fleas and ticks being on the third floor. I was wrong! All of my pets got fleas and I started seeing them around the house, which is what really became frustrating because I am terrified of bugs. I stayed in a hotel and called a professional to spray my apartment, which was all very very expensive! When no other treatment was working I ordered a flea pill from Chewy for my pets and it did not come on the expected day. By that time I was really upset about the entire situation. The carrier did not give a reason why or a new delivery date so I called Chewy. The manager was great and the next day the medication was at my door! That same manager called me back to make sure I received the meds and to see if I needed anything more.

    I was impressed with how they handled my situation. But here is where I want to give thanks to Chewy for going the extra mile. I recently went online and canceled my cat's prescription auto delivery. There was a section asking for a reason, and I put a simple note that my cat had passed. A few days later I had a beautiful bouquet of flowers at my door along with a nice sympathy card, which brightened my day. I can't think of any other company who would do something so thoughtful! Five stars all around! Thank you Chewy!!!!

    I've been trying for 3 days now to get my cat's prescription filled. Why can't it be a simple phone call to vet for approval. I chatted with a pharmacy tech this morning. Just giving me mail in instructions was hard for them. They couldn't even simply give that. I finally got it after insulting them. I will not use Chewy again for pet meds. They make 0 effort to get a prescription filled.

    I have been ordering from Chewy for years. I find their products to be quality and their prices reasonable. I adopt senior Scottish Terriers from a rescue to give them a loving, safe home to live out their lives. Last week I had just returned from the vet clinic where I had to have my latest little love euthanized and her food order was sitting by my door. I called customer service and was told to donate the food, which I took to a local shelter. The representative not only credited my account for the food, but also the medications I had received the week before. I was so impressed by the compassion and kindness.     Our 12 year old Rottweiler wasn't doing well and had to be euthanized. I had some recently ordered items from Chewy.com and contacted them to return the unneeded products. Not only did Chewy give me a full refund on the items, but also said I didn't need to return them and donate them if possible.     I've had several times where the wet cat food had damaged open cans that was no fault of the carrier. First time I returned the whole order. The next two times, I threw the damaged food away. Orders are packed very poorly for shipping canned food. My last order was supposed to been delivered on Saturday. I called Chewy.com to inform them that my mailbox place will be closed that day. So I asked to change the delivery address to my home since I'll be home all weekend. The packages didn't arrive on Saturday. I contacted Chewy again. Chewy promised again that the packages will be delivered on Sunday. But the packages were not delivered on Sunday. So I'm tending to think that Chewy never did inform FedEx about the other address.

    Tomorrow being Monday, I'll be at work all day. And since I was expecting the packages to be delivered over the week, I made plans to take care of something else on my meal break (which is the only time I have to pick up orders on week days). I assume the order will deliver on Monday but I will not be able to pick them up until Tuesday now. I can't rely on Chewy to pack my orders so not have damaged and open cans of food that I have to either get it returned or throw the food away. I can't rely on Chewy to have deliveries on time and inform carriers of changes. I already deleted my Chewy account.

    Chewy.com is acting more and more like Amazon, where every product actually receives is super tiny or huge, nothing like the displayed products. Also beginning to question their on-line ratings.     Chewy is an incredible company. They have wonderful customer service and pharmacists. I called needing a prescription, the pharmacist asked how my dog was. She was very invested in the situation and actually cared about my dog's well being. After hearing I was out of medicine, she requested expedited shipping without me asking. She also explained how I can switch the prescription. Last, she did the math with me to ensure I set up the autoship correctly. The pharmacist's name is Meriam/Merriam (not sure if I spelled it right) but I was blown away by her service!

    I’ve used Chewy for my dogs needs for a while. Food, toys and flea preventatives. On 6/19/25 I lost one of my dogs, Leia. I changed her profile to a memorial page, which deactivates her account. In doing so, they sent me a little care package with a beautiful card, handwritten and specific to me and my girl. It brought me to tears. How thoughtful. I will continue to use them for my other dog’s needs. What a great company. Very compassionate and caring. All of my orders come within at least 2 days! Great customer service as well.     I had purchased a few things from Chewy and started some autoships. Everything was going great until I needed to return the email functioning rotated cat box. I paid over $300 for this cat box to malfunction. I got a return slip from chewy and brief description that it would turn my money within 3 to 6 days however we are on day 10 and that only do they have my product back and holding it they are also not returning my money. It was really quick to pay for the item and to get the money back is a slow death. I have been asking about the details of my return and it is still sitting in their warehouse where is supposed to be verified and confirmed before my return process can even start. This is not the information that I was told when I originally asked for return slip. I am very dissatisfied and I canceled all of my autoships and I will not be purchasing from them again.

    I bought a pair of clippers from Chewy back in December and I really think it was just a lemon. Things kept happening with it, paint chipping off, weird noises, etc. I contacted Chewy and spoke with someone who was very understanding and sympathetic. She emailed me a return print out., and told me as soon as they received the old pair they would send me a new one. I received the new clipper very quickly.     My family has been using Chewy since 2018 for my 2 dogs' needs. Our 1st dog passed away on 6/16/25 & our 2nd dog passed away on 7/13/25.     Horrible! Ordered online and they cancelled the order as they didn't receive the paper script in 2 days. They reopened it so I mailed the scripts, 2 weeks later no meds and no contact. I contact them and they're somehow apparently "lost". I guess the post office is suddenly losing mail! So, they said they would contact my Vet and then 2 days later my order says cancelled.     I ordered from Chewy and it was dropped off at some other address. When I called customer service, first they made me feel it was my fault that it was delivered somewhere else, then the person agreed to send a replacement and guess what, same mistake and when I called customer service again, they directed me to a photo taken when delivered and it was NOT my house, they didn’t entertain me any further, so I lost my $ and all that hold time on the phone.     I recently purchased a 25lb bag of waterfowl feed. Fed Ex delivered the box on a rainy day leaving it in my driveway when just a few steps away I have a huge covered porch. Of course when I arrived home the box was in pieces from sitting in the rain. This was not the first issue I have had with Fed Ex. Fortunately the brand I buy package in water resistant packaging. I filed a complaint with FedEx and just emailed Chewy.com so they were aware of these problems. They immediately shipped another 25lb bag at no charge and filed a complaint with FedEx. I was very impressed. I received 2 emails from customer service apologizing and alerting me to the shipment of a new bag. Can't say enough about them.     I'm disabled so that is why I ordered delivery. Chewy was great at first, years ago. During the pandemic they messed up my auto ship, not sending the cat litter in the order because they were out of stock. Understandable, but you WARN the customer this will happen, don't get them to desperately try to find someone to get them to the store as there's no cat litter in the house. I stopped auto ship then. In the beginning of this year (2025) I thought of giving them another chance, now that the pandemic has passed, just because of a few $$ difference between them and Amazon.

    My last order was A WEEK late. Order was supposed to be delivered on the 3d. They took my money on the 2nd. The shipping label was created on the 5th. True, 4th of July was in the way but, 4 comes after 3, right? The order (as FedEx shows) will not be delivered until the 10th. At least I was able to track and see that I need to order (from Amazon) cat food in time so my cats will have food between the 3rd and the 10th. I canceled the auto ship once again. The few $$ I save is not worth the stress.

    After 3 separate attempts to have pharmacy orders filled, shipped & delivered in timely fashion during hot months with temps in mid 90’s & failed. I’ve lost all hope of receiving undamaged meds for my pets delivered. Despite placing orders first thing Monday morning, calling & emailing to ensure urgency of shipping early in week to avoid sitting in shipping warehouse all weekend I’ve failed.

I don’t understand how they can say non refrigerated medication is OK after sitting in non airconditioned warehouses, delivery trucks for up to 5 days.     Last month I added something to an auto ship and it doubled the order so I called them to ask. The customer service person stated it had NOT doubled the order but I did get both orders a day later and a huge hit on my credit card. I went back to them. They apologized and took it off my credit card. Customer service later said they would send me a free order to apologize. They ordered it but never sent it and then cancelled it. That’s some apology. They can’t verify it’s you over SMS, only email which could take a hour to come through. They cut you off when you are trying to explain. I’m more upset now than originally. Ok will never do business with them again.

    I decided to try Chewy's pharmacy department for the first time, simply to order some flea and tick medication for my pet. The process started off smoothly—I placed the order and received an email within 24 hours confirming my vet's approval. However, a week later, my order was still stuck in "preparing for shipment" status.

    I called that morning and spoke with an agent who assured me they would expedite the order. By the end of the business day, there was no change—it was still in the same status. I then reached out via chat support and was told that I needed to verify my shipping address and that the order was still waiting for vet approval, even though that had supposedly already been handled earlier that same day. Frustrated, I asked to cancel the order. I was told it was too late to do so, but after insisting, I was eventually informed that the order was canceled. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I was left feeling like there was a lack of communication and urgency on their end.

    I usually don’t write reviews but I felt obligated. I’ve always had a wonderful experience with Chewy. The shipping is fast, there’s always sales, and their customer service is exceptional. Two examples- 1) I had gotten a whole crate of kidney support food, prescription/ expensive and my cat finally passed from CKD. I emailed to see if I could return since it was unopened. They just straight up reimbursed me and told me I could bring / donate to a shelter in need (which I did). They were so sweet and it was such a surprisingly and humanly compassionate handling.

    Next - which almost brought me to tears. My senior cat passed, I hadn’t ordered from there in a bit but I had recently got two new kittens. I was going to order some food, and saw the pet profiles. I inactivated gizmos and it asked why, and I put that he has passed. Not a week later, I get a buzz at my door for delivery. They sent a whole ass bouquet of flowers in a vase with a message offering condolences for Gizmo. 🥺

    I can’t say enough how much I love this company. Large companies often feel transactional and they could actually care less about the people and not all being about the bottom line. Chewy is NOT that. They are compassionate, human, and the way they handle customer care will have me choosing them over anyone else for my pet needs. (Other things include them always sending personalized notes like wishing pets happy bday by name.) It’s truly amazing. Kudos to all those at Chewy.

    I have enjoyed Chewy.com's great prices and convenient delivery for quite some time now but am now beyond frustrated with their lack of communication, dishonesty, and being inconsiderate for my pet's needs. After my vet quit, I had refills on file, but I tried to order one "too early". I was told that I couldn't get it ordered because it was a controlled substance (in my state, it is not). I was able to get my vet's office to say that it was okay to order it early off the old prescription, but that they could not approve a NEW prescription because the original prescribing vet quit. They called twice and it seems like they were asking my vet's office the wrong questions. I couldn't order the meds until 2 days later, and when I did they told me my vet's office told them to close the prescription. THEY DIDN'T.

    I've never been so frustrated with customer service before. I know Chewy isn't going out of business losing me as a customer but gosh darn does anyone care ?? My dogs have had to share medications and have gone without medication and I have seen the visible effects of this causing them pain and discomfort. It feels like Chewy is just determined not to give me my dog's medication. Like why is it more difficult than getting human medication???

    I mailed a vet prescription to Chewy and got a phone call to set up the Autoship. The rep went through everything and at the last second said that's $45.00 for a one month supply. She tried to disconnect the call but I wouldn't let her. I told her the website has that medication for $8.96. Oh yeah I see that she said. Then tried going into a song and dance to justify the 45.00. Now since I caught them Chewy won't honor the prescription and is making up six different stories. Check what they are charging you compared to the website. Their CEO has a reputation of going into the scam zone.

    Chewy has been providing my fur babies for the past 16 years. Unfortunately I lost my dog 2 years ago and just my cat 2 days ago. Chewy went above and beyond helping me cancel any future orders that I had and sent me a wonderful letter with their condolence with the loss of my fur baby. It was nice to interact with such caring people and I will continue to use chewy for any future pets. I may decide to adopt but right now I can't think of having another pet as I'm so very sad as I was sitting. I myself about thinking of recently lost cat. Someone was at my door with flowers. It bring into my day and warmed my heart. Chewy sent me flowers and a wonderful condolence note. I am so lucky and thank you again Julie for going above and beyond.

    I have been using Chewy for a couple of years. I am no longer going to order from them. Their customer service doesn’t care whether your package is delivered or not. FedEx just delivered my package, over two hundred dollars, out by the road in the rain. Three hundred feet from my house. I order from Chewy because I can not pick up heavy bags anymore. I ask for it to be put on my porch. The customer service is No help at all. They use FedEx and I believe that by using a FedEx they also represent Chewy. I won’t be ordering anything from Chewy again.

    Absolute worst Customer Care I've ever dealt with. I actually have a gift card that says truly right on it and they would not let me use it. They said they would not split a payment and take the money off. The gift card for my dog's stick medicine. And when I call them, they told me they absolutely would not take the $20 off from the gift card and then they hung up on me.

    Chewy.com took and processed the payment for my order before it was shipped, I cancelled it and never saw the money again. Rebecca on the customer service line assured me it never processed, even though it did and I never got my money back. She continued to speak condescendingly to me, and told me the only option was to have a conversation between her and my bank to settle it. I've accepted I'm never getting my money back from this company, will never use again, would give zero stars if I could. Use a different company, learn from my mistakes.

    I placed an order for my dog seizure medication. Figured it would make life a little easier to have them shipped to home not have to worry about going to the pharmacy. I researched before placing the order. I need 2 extra bottles with labels on them. One for daycare, one to keep with me so he doesn't miss a dose. Then he has the rest of in the bottle at home. So I don't have to carry a bunch of pills. On the website it states they can provide extra bottles. I placed the order. There wasn't a spot to request extra bottles. I called and was told they don't offer extra bottles anymore. They "haven't updated the website". It's a seizure medication- emergency life saving medication- prescription required and has to be in a labeled bottle.

    They said they can't do that. It's crazy, I have never heard of a pharmacy doing this. The website is very misleading saying it can but they can't. I was told no extra labeled bottle but of I need extra syringes I could get those. Very disappointed Chewy. I wanted this to work and figured it would be better for my baby. I ended up canceling the order along with my other autoship. No Chewy for us. Finding another company to fit our needs.

    I had trouble with my dogs going into my neighbor's yard. They would complain. My yard is fenced in and I just couldn't keep them from digging under the fence to make their escape. I ordered the shock collars, only to use when they were digging or preventing them from reaching the neighbor's property. It works! Once they figured out that they would feel a shock when they are doing what they're not supposed to, kept them at bay. Thanks Chewy. The price was very reasonable for two dogs.

    I've been ordering from Chewy now for 5 years. I have had a great experience with them. They ship when they say they will. When they sent a product that was defective, it was easy to contact a real person through chat live.     I began using Chewy a few months ago, and found their customer service very good. However, at present the customer service gives the impression that they do not care. The issue is using FedEx as the courier.. The FedEx service has been very unreliable where I reside, and actually failed to deliver a package citing an incorrect delivery address. The address on record is correct and never had an issue before with packages from chewy or others. Yet, the driver chose to indicate an incorrect address, I guess to CYA because they were running late and did not want to return to their office with an undelivered parcel; so conveniently updated the status by text of an incorrect address.

    I had to call the representatives, that were either inexperienced, or incompetent. My address was verified as correct, however they defended FedEx incompetency and could not verify when I would receive the package. I asked to speak with someone of higher authority, they said that person would call, but never did. Too much aggravation for a simple delivery. My issue is with FedEx, they are horrible, and must be the employees I terminated when they worked for USPS.

    I have been a Chewy customer since 2014. That’s how far my order history goes anyways. I’ve always loved the quality and price of their products. I also order my pet food from them via auto ship. I’ve had many great experiences with their customer service but what prompted me here is their latest act of thoughtfulness. My cat recently passed away. I called if I can return his unopened food and they gave me a refund and asked me to donate the food instead of returning them. Tonight, I received a package from chewy.     After having had some decent success with ordering dog food and toys for a few months; I decided to try the autoship method to keep the supply of food coming seamless, with a discount. Seem decent right? After 2nd autoship I received a taped up bag of food, not sealed. When I called Chewy.com to express my concern if the food is safe and fresh after being the original packaging had been opened- "Oh, sorry to hear about that." I was told that Chewy doesn't actually ship the food, your order is supplied by a 3rd party vendor. Really? Chewy had no interest in sending a replacement or giving a refund. I'm not buying another product from Chewy.com. Cancelling auto-ship is not easy, nor is deleting your account. Another rip-off middleman co with a nice website.     Up until last year I would have said Chewy.com was a good place to buy pet products. My pets got sick off the food. So I suggest other customers pay attention like you would your kids. Smell, inspect the pet food. One of my best furry friends died from what seems like bacteria. (Smelled and inspected a new bag elsewhere.) I’ve always been careful with storage (as instructed and product labels) but doesn’t mean a business would be for pets food. I looked later and they continue to sell pet food where there have been so many people’s pets got sick also.

    I don’t have a lot of income and won’t own any more pets after our other ones pass away. It's too expensive and between the vets, prescription, supplies. Then to top off the restrictions and manipulation through your furry friends. Even some laws in our area/state have changed to make it harder. And to send flowers just made things worse. We could have used that amount to help our pet pass away more peacefully. That process was terrible at the local vet.

    I rarely take time out of my enjoyable retirement schedule to write a review of utter praise about a company and their personnel. However, their follow-through communications, their friendly service, their courteousness, their patience and their concern for their customer’s complete satisfaction is more than worthy of the wonderful words I can write about ‘Chewy.com’, and more specifically, one of their fabulous customer service supervisors named Shawn H.

    I placed my very first order with Chewy.com, which was so easy to do. I found that they have an extraordinary amount of varied pet products, too. There seems to be almost nothing within the pet universe of products that they don’t have on their website. Their prices were very competitive and I also received free shipping and a first-time customer welcoming gift of $20 too. Additionally, they strive to deliver within 1-3 days. So, when I went to track my order a couple of days later, it said that the order had been 100% completed and packed, and a shipping label was created, ready for FedEx to pick up. When a shipping label has been created, that almost always signifies that FedEx will pick it up by the end of that day. However, I found that 24 hours later FedEx hadn’t been picked up yet. So, I was concerned and I called Chewy’s customer service number and ultimately spoke with a customer supervisor named Shawn H.

    My conversation with Shawn H was amazing. He was not only kind, considerate, patient and helpful, he also truly cared about me, his customer, and wanted to make sure that I would be 100% satisfied with my purchase. Shawn H said he would have to dig into the shipping situation and told me that he would get back to me ASAP. After hanging up, I was a little apprehensive. This apprehension was certainly not due to my concertation with Shawn H. It was due to my past conversations over the years with many of the other company’s customer service people that I’ve dealt with in the past. Almost all of them never followed-through with getting the solutions or answers to any concerns or questions that I had. Quite frankly, I was pleasantly amazed that Shawn H did, indeed, call me back with the great news that my order was actually arriving at my home that very next day.

    Shawn H could not have been better in any way, shape or form. I was so impressed with Shawn H and his listening skills, his true desire to get to the root of the shipping problem, his desire to make sure everything with my Chewy.com order perfect, and would ultimately make me love dealing with Chewy.com now and in the future. Needless to say, the way Shawn H conversed with me along with his actions to make sure everything went according to their high standards for customer satisfaction, certainly made me a loyal customer for all of my future pet’s needs.

    In fact, I was so delighted with how things were handled that I asked him for, and ultimately spoke with his supervisor, named Antoneisha. I told her all about how impressive and easy my first order experience with Chewy.com was, and more specifically about how fabulous Shawn H was in handling my questions and shipping concerns. Antoneisha was delighted to hear my praises and assured me that customer satisfaction is always ‘job #1’ at Chewy.com.

    Words cannot really express my delight, my utter praise and my complete satisfaction with Chewy.com, their supervisors, and their customer care staff.     I have used Chewy for years to purchase food, medications, treats, and toys for my dog. I never once had an issue with my product or receiving my order in a timely manner.     After many years of working with Chewy without any problems, it seemed my last pharmacy order was never going to be properly fulfilled or sent. There were multiple days of calls going between Chewy and me, and the answering machine of my Vet’s office. Time was running out for my dog to receive her required prescription and without it, her condition would rapidly change for the worse. I admit I became very surly and frustrated with the pharmacy staff at Chewy, but never once did they lose their patience or understanding for my problem. In the end, Chewy received the required prescription, sent it by 24-hour overnight delivery, and did not charge me anything to compensate for my distress and inconvenience.     Hit or miss when you call in and your food wasn’t even processed. You made the order online correctly but they changed it to a different dog because they felt it would process faster even though you always order under your same dog who just went to the vet so she could have this particular food! The girl on the phone continued to repeat the wrong information. Now the dogs on Memorial Day will NOT have their food. They have the food that they won’t eat because Science Diet or Royal Canin is constantly changing the food taste or consistency so I have half a case of food that we can’t use. Did the customer service representative say hey you can send that back? No, she didn’t even offer.

    This is the last time ideal with Chewy. There are plenty of other places that I can get food like my VET'S office!! No offer to speed up from THEIR MISTAKE!! Changing the dog's name! Ridiculous! I have $65 worth of food I can’t use and am trying to order more, can she not listen with her ears? Hey manager are you listening to me?? Come get this food and send me by FedEx next day because my dogs won’t eat for three days! Your customer service rep continued to say she would order the food under the wrong dog! WTH!!! I had to have her repeat it to me. Both dogs have digestion issues. It’s on file. Idiots.

    Very dissatisfied with their prescription service. Once our vet approved the order (which was right away same day) our order said that it needed to be reviewed by a Chewy veterinarian, which took days!! When I called to find out what was taking so long, I was told that they would overnight it. The overnight shipping was not approved and now I’m waiting nearly a week on top of this for my dog to have her pain meds. If I had known this, I would’ve never ordered from them so I hope that this review helps someone else to choose a more reliable place so that their dog doesn’t have to wait so long.

    Awesome customer service. I have been ordering from Chewy for many years. I have never received an order that was wrong until today. However, I called they sent out a replacement for the product they sent wrong immediately and asked that I donate the wrong product to a local animal shelter rather than return it. Kudos to Chewy for thinking about shelter animals and for the prompt and excellent service I received. I would recommend Chewy to anyone.

    I had wet cat food on auto-ship, so I had a debit card on file. Upon checking an order, I noticed Chewy ordered the same thing with a different price to try a fool by banks protection. There is no name of who ordered it, and a supervisor told me it was a system error. But I have no refund. I never received the cat food, and chewy has not refunded my money.     Chewy was very good for a while but my recent experiences have convinced me not to use them anymore. Next to last order the cat food box was crushed along with the can cat food. My last order on the 16th I received an email saying my order was arriving Sunday 18th. Great! Almost out of food and definitely needed litter. Sunday came and went. No chewy order. I was told to call FedEx to find out what happened. Sorry I am NOT calling about your delivery service! A supervisor told me some areas do not have SUNDAY DELIVERIES!!! REALLY. Why put out a message the order is coming on Sunday. I used Chewy for years but will no longer be one if their customers!

    I've purchased from Chewy prior and haven't had issues. Prices are good. However, this time I ordered a heavy 44 lb. package of cat litter and witnessed the delivery. They use FedEx. This review may be more related to FedEx but, I happened to witness the delivery and I guess the driver didn't like delivering heavy packages. He threw the box in from chest height. I have a long driveway so I use a plastic delivery bin at the road and I am very surprised it didn't break from the impact. I'm not sure I will use Chewy in the future for heavy items.

    I am in the process of adopting a rescue dog and as soon as I knew when we were getting him, I went onto the Chewy site to order everything we needed. I spent many hours going choosing the items and was pleased that many of them were on sale. When I had a problem with one item, I called customer service for help and together we ordered a few more things. She completed and supposedly sent the order, but I never got a confirmation.

    A day and a half later, I went back to my order only to find she never did send the order. And the "sales" which would have saved me a bundle were all gone. When I spoke with the new CS rep and asked if I would get the order on time for my new pup, her answer was would she could not promise, "I'm sorry." Could she expedite the order? "I'm sorry, no." Would she give me the sales price I should have had, had the original CS Rep completed the order as she said she had, all she repeated, again and again was "I'm so sorry..." Is this the famous customer service Chewy is supposedly known for? I'M SORRY BUT NO!!! This is not customer service by any definition.     Very upset. If there was a zero I would put that. Canceled my order for zero reasons. I even got my bank involved. It had nothing to do with that. I called Chewy. They said all was ok with my order. It was processing. Then today on my way home from work I get an email from Chewy stating my order was canceled. 😡 So I called Chewy. The rep had me on the phone for a while with no explanation why it was cancelled. That is not good customer care. So here I have to go to PetSmart to purchase the food for my bird. Not good. No happy. I guess is time to say goodbye to this customer service.

    Probably would be a decent retailer if you have a young healthy pet. If, however, your pet is older or afflicted with a sickness or disease, you'd do well to avoid this company. I have a older dog who suffers with PLE. His diet is essential to his health. This retailer fails to deliver on promised delivery dates, jeopardizing the health of my dog. I saw Chewy as an attractive alternative to Amazon, I was mistaken. I will from now on get my dog's food from my veterinarian.

    These guys are absolutely horrible. Out of Petco, PetSmart and Chewy, chewy is by far the worst. After giving them thousands of dollars over the past, however, many years I stopped using them last year. I can’t really tell you what it was, but it involve phone calls and it drove me nuts and it really ticked me off. Recently, I ended up finding a discontinued food on their website that Purina stopped making so I attempted to stock up with the llittle money I had. They took the payment no problem but then I got an email saying that I had to call them. This was very reminiscent of why I stopped dealing with them last year.

    I verified my name, my address, the last 4 digits on my debit card and what it was I ordered. Now they still have my money and I was told if I didn’t see any movement in one to three days to call back. Excuse me what? No explanation why what the hell is going on. How about explaining what your problem is, and then verifying whatever it is that you have to verify before taking my money? Absolute ridiculous.

    Again the only reason I’m even doing business with these clown shoes again is because they have a discontinued food that nobody else has right now and when I am done stocking up as much as I can over the next couple weeks, assuming they let me, I guarantee they will never hear from me ever again.. I have a Petco and a PetSmart within 4 miles of my home. I don’t need this crap. I will add. I was told to call because the email said I used a code that I had previously used. I didn’t use any code. So starting this exchange off on a lie wasn’t a great way to start. No time for your nonsense Chewy. I can’t stand you.

    Used to love Chewy, thought they were an amazing company!!! Unfortunately I feel the exact opposite now!!! Where do I begin??? So I’ll just Randomly start with the first issue that comes to mind, and remember all these issues have been back to back to back!!!! So the “Pet MD” omega 3 fish oil soft gels for dogs, is not technically for dogs!!! Dogs have to have vitamin e to deliver the omega and there is not a drop of vitamin e in it. So for a lot of dog owners you’re just wasting money. But for some you’re poisoning your dog, some dogs just store it up since it’s not going to use. Grant it. It’s not like giving them anthrax but it’s not helping them either.

    Now let me go to the next subject. 200 dollars worth of heart worm medicine. The last 3 doses had some manufacturing defects and were literally hard as a rock. I could not cut them with a serrated knife, I soaked them in water nothing. Well after dozens of emails chewy just passed it on to HEARTGARD. And heargard passed it on to chewy so I got nothing. Then I had refills on my dog's medicine. Well their system would not let me order the refills then the refills expired. So I ordered more. Well after 2 weeks the order still said waiting for vet approval. Usually takes 1-2 days. Well 2 weeks I message chewy they say, "Oh we will call the vet first thing in morning." I said okay. 3 more days go by. Still no word from chewy in any of this. I message again. This time they tell me my vet switched to no more verbal prescriptions. I have to go in to see them.

    I was just there 3 weeks ago. And now have to bring 2 healthy dogs back to the vet and pay more unnecessary money cause chewy didn’t inform me. I’m also mad at vet and will be switching for not informing as well and also refusing to let chewy accept a verbal authorization and wanting us to come spend more money. So bye bye Mounds animal clinic in Mounds Minnesota!!! I’m tired of typing but have several dozen more instances to go along with this monologue!!!!

    I ordered online but the only difference this time was I joined the program to get 5% back and free shipping. What a mistake. The order still hasn’t arrived and it’ll be 8 days before I get it from order to delivery. I always get my order in 2 days or less. Upon calling to inquire, the woman sounded like she was dead weight. A pathetic excuse for customer service. All she kept saying was that it came from a warehouse in Texas and I’m in Florida and it was because of what I ordered. Guess what idiot, I ordered snacks that I found at the local Chewy Vet so what???? I would know this how? So, Chewy decided to hold up my regular dog food since this was held up and ship it all together, you know why? Cause I joined the stupid free shipping program for $50 a year. CANCEL! I’m disgusted.

    Hi there, my order #**. Disappointed with Customer Service and Order Verification. I recently placed an order for pet food from Chewy, expecting the smooth and reliable service they’re known for. Unfortunately, my experience was far from that. After placing the order, I was contacted by customer service because they supposedly couldn’t verify the order. Despite providing all the necessary information by calling and mailing they were unable to process it and gave me no clear explanation or solution.

    The whole process was frustrating and felt like a waste of time. I was left without the pet food I urgently needed and no confidence that the issue would be resolved anytime soon. I expected better communication, more transparency, and quicker resolution from a company that markets itself as customer-focused. Very disappointed.

    I would not use Chewy pharmacy again. Ordered pain meds and antibiotics for my dog last Thursday, I was told it would arrive Saturday. It has been a week and meds have not arrived. Fedex had to return the packet to Chewy because meds were not properly packed. Now they are re-sending and my dog still waiting for antibiotics and pain meds. I don't think they are ready to take over this industry. I have to say I am a customer of them for food supplies and that area is well managed.

    Chewy.com will forever have our hearts! The website was always so accommodating when I needed an order sooner or needed to push back an order. Our sweet girl, Bayleigh loved receiving her Chewy box. Unfortunately I had to cancel my Chewy subscription because we had to put our sweet girl down. 😢 When I called Chewy to inform them, they were so sweet and offered condolences.     I've been a customer since 2011 when they were just a start up. I can honestly say I never had an issue that they weren't willing to work with me on and they certainly NEVER were argumentative or combative however that all changed on May 4th, 2025 14 years after being a devout customer for 9 different pets over the years. I had so much trust in Chewy I asked for their advice on a nutritional supplement for my dogs and went with what they recommended. Within 12 hours of giving them ½ the recommended dose day 1, I was rushing my 14½ yr old puggle mix and 1½yr old terrier mix to the emergency vet with vomiting, diarrhea, & my terrier was having seizures.

    The vet said no doubt it was related to the supplement & I was lucky I hadn't given the full amount. I am not clear if it was something that was meant to be in this supplement or if it was contaminated but I do know I almost lost both my dogs and the next 48 hours was heart wrenching. The vet kept the supplement & asked me for a copy of the order so I just gave them access to my account so they could do whatever needed to be done to help this from happening to another dog. It's been 3 weeks, I am still waiting for answers so I reached out to chewy who immediately went on the defensive and said it must have been something in my house, something I fed them, CHEWY LAUNCHED THE BLAME GAME AND I WAS THE #1 TARGET.

    Funny thing about that is Spike is on his own special diet I cook for him and Dash is on a combo of canned and hard dog food. Spike doesn't go outside (except to be picked up, carried to his potty spot to go and carried inside because he's 100% blind). Dash, being newly adopted never has free run in the yard, he's always on a leash with me and supervised so neither of them ate anything foreign in the 72 hours leading up to this terrifying event. They also eat completely different foods and the SINGLE THING THEY HAD IN COMMON WAS RX ESSENTIALS FOR DOGS. Chewy who has always been phenomenal about allowing returns refused to refund me for this item citing there had been no other complaints.

    Now on to the 2nd half of this infuriating encounter. Dash, who has a very rare, very deadly tick disease called hepatozoonosis is on ** which he will need to be on his entire life. Until recently we'd hoped that would be a long happy life but without getting into the specifics, unfortunately that is not going to be his story so I've committed to making his short life a happy one. He will still need to stay on his ** because if he doesn't, a flare from his hepatozonosis would be all it would take to cut this sweet pure soul's life tragically short.

    Dash's vet prescribed 120ml of ** with 6 refills knowing Dash only takes 2ml a day. The vet did this to help us save money given the amount we've spent on his care in the 5 months we've had him would have covered ⅓ of a very luxurious car. Now chewy doesn't offer the medication in quantities of 120. You can get 2 60ml bottles which ends up being $129.99 but if you get a 90ml bottle it's $62.99 which is what I got when the supply his former rescue sent with him ran out. For my next order I added on a 2nd bottle - the 30ml bottle for $20 (90ml bottle+30ml bottle = 120ml which is what his script is for). Pretty straightforward and logical or so I thought..

    When I added the 30ml bottle I got a pop up telling me they needed to contact his vet to get it approved so I started a chat to explain, YOU (CHEWY & me for that matter) can see that the Rx is for 120ml each month but since chewy doesn't have 120ml bottles I ordered the 90 bottle at first and added the 30ml bottle this month so that I won't have to get his vet to renew it as quickly as I would if I just stuck with 90. Well apparently that's a HUGE problem for them but what's really interesting is it wasn't a problem when they were happy to send me 2 60ml bottles at once - and the reason they didn't have a problem doing that was because they made a ridiculous amount of money that way. 2 60ml bottles = $129.99. 1 90ml bottle and a 30 ml = $82.99.

    Ok not anything to lose your cool about right? I agree it's not but when this technician NOT A VET, NOT A PHARMACIST starts telling me if I'm giving Dash ** that's over 30 days old "you are just making him sicker and causing him to die faster." Um excuse me chewy employee? Would you like to repeat that because my vet informed me the medication, stored in a cool, dry place is good 6-12 months. So after that interaction with chewy, their refusal to be refund me the $49 nutritional supplement, getting a tongue lashing from an employee who, I'm sorry probably didn't go any further than high school whereas my vet who spent her 20s in college And vet school assured me there is absolutely no risk in giving Dash his ** that wasn't used in the first 30 days. Oh yeah and according to NIH & VCA ** "The shelf life of liquid ** compound, when stored properly, is typically greater than 2 years."

    Chewy (by far) is the best company I have ever dealt with. I ordered products for my dogs and cats last night at 8:00 p.m. It is 11:00 a.m. in Florida and I just received my packages. I know that chewy is based out of Florida, and I do live there but, come on ❤️ 15 hours. Now that is service. The products are always top notch and packages are always in great shape. I do shop when I'm in a pinch at other stores for my pet's needs. I do try to make sure though that I don't get to that point. I rather have chewy get all of my business.

    Very poor customer service at Chewy today. I tried to place an order for dog food that I had purchased at Chewy in the past. I could not get past the information for my credit card. I entered it correctly having the card in front of me. The customer service rep told me to contact my bank. I told her that I had just placed an order with another vendor without any problem. She said that there was nothing that she could do. Obviously this customer service rep was very poorly trained.

    Lack of customer service.... In order to get a return amount (on dry dog food, basic; didn't agree with my dog)..they requested me to "box & ship used return" to them from FL to Ohio. SMH...     Extremely frustrating website experience. As a guest, you're only allowed to add one gift card—and once it's added, it gets locked to that guest session. If you back out or don’t complete the purchase, the gift card remains tied to that temporary guest account. After creating a full account, that same gift card can’t be transferred or used, essentially making it unusable. I've spent over a month trying to resolve this issue with Chewy customer service, with no success so far.

    I was searching for a toothpaste with clean ingredients that was actually nice smelling and my dog would finally approve of. I have gone everywhere and tried just about every brand that I could find… I’ve even tried the liquid you can put in your pets water. My pup didn’t like any of it and most of the products had things in them that weren’t even good for me so I definitely was not about to give them to my dog. But, hold the phone, y'all!!! Arterra’s stuff is GOLD!!!

    Sounds funny but Arterra’s dog toothpaste kind of has a mint/peanut butter flavor for my pup and it actually works, keeps her breath smelling fresh, the ingredients are flawless AND my sweet girl LOVES it. She actually let my son brush her teeth for the first time without hassle. I’m SO happy I found out that Chewy provides this stuff. Best day ever!!! I had to put my 15 1/2 year old baby Bella down yesterday after a long wonderful life! I was working from home today, and the doorbell rang. I thought it was an Amazon order and I opened the door to receive flowers and a beautiful note from your amazing company. What an incredibly beautiful gesture this was! I have told everybody I possibly can about this, I can’t even tell you what this means to me! While I can’t think about another animal at this moment.     How in the world can this amazing company have such a low score review?! This is truly the best company I have ever done business with. They will get you your food or pet supplies quickly.
