Boyfriend received a discount code for his first pharmacy order, the brochure read in very large text Save 30% off your pet’s flea and tick meds. The discount code was on the back of a multi-fold card, along with a tiny QR code near the address that said scan this code, to see the terms and conditions. It was so tiny we didn’t see it. Nobody scans codes! We want our 30% - it turned on a total boat and switch! We proceeded to make our order of $300 and were told we would only get $19 in savings not the full 30% or $90.
I made a stink and threatened never to order again after this debacle. The lady started backpedaling and started pulling discounts out of her pockets like it was Christmas. 🎄 This is really bad business. It left a bad taste in my mouth. They started saying like “Well, we gave you a 5% off because you bought a 2 pack of brevecto.” Actually we bought two 2-packs, but that was her reasoning for denying me the full 30%.
I pressed on and it wasn’t pretty. Then she said, "Well, you got a menial discount on 2 heartworm boxes." That didn’t fly either. She said she was going to give me another discount, but that it would take a few days to process. More bogus claims. Discounts happen on the spot. I’m a business owner and codes are widely known by those in management.
I will no longer purchase from Chewy. I cancelled my auto ship, my boyfriend will have nothing of them. We will also tell all our pet shop clients our experience as we have 8000 followers on social media. Chewy’s bait-and-switch scams will be reported to the Attorney General of the state of Pennsylvania. Chewy had no intention of giving any new customer 30% off any pharma order SO WHY SEND OUT BROCHURE WITH THAT FALSE CLAIM. What the botched scam brochure should have said was $19 off your flea and tick order, and nothing more. We are done with them.

I purchased an Eagles feeding puzzle. It was suggested such a toy for a slow eater. Not only does she love it. This toy is teaching her to wait for her treat and she sits and waits for her toy & treat.

They sent 7 boxes of dog food for my autoship instead of one. They refuse to remove the over $400 charge they put on my credit card for their error. I have deleted my account.

I accidentally had my prescription shipped to our vacation home. Both Chewy representatives were exceptionally kind, professional and quickly resolved the issue. Best service I’ve had in recent memory. Very impressed! Keep up the great work, it stands out.

My cat needed medicine for possible pancreatitis. I ordered it from Chewy pharmacy on Thursday and the vet approved it but it is now Sunday and it hasn't even shipped yet. I called the pharmacy and was told they don't ship on the weekend. She said I might get it by Tuesday. That is almost a week waiting for medication for my cat. My poor cat! Completely unacceptable.

Chewy is an awesome company that cares about their customers. Wednesday I had to put my Pixie down. The week prior her one pharmacy product arrived. The box was still unopened and I contacted chewy asking to return it. Unfortunately due to laws they cannot but did credit me for the product. Today they delivered flowers in Pixie's memory since the distribution center is in my town. What a nice thing to do chewy. When I get another dog, I will continue to use you.

Our dog passed on Easter Sunday. On Monday, we called Chewy.com to cancel our auto-ship medications. First, the representative expressed her sincerest condolences, then took care of the standing orders. One was already on its way, but instead of having us return it, we were asked to just keep it/dispose of it. The experience felt personal and so unexpected. Within two days, Chewy had also sent a card and flowers to the house! What???!!! Remarkable customer service!

Chewy has always been so helpful over the years. Delivery quick, on time, no mistakes. Today, they have gone over and beyond normal business. Ten days ago my precious fur baby died. I'm devastated. I called to let them know to stop our automatic food deliveries. Today I received a lovely flower arrangement with a heartfelt note. This Company isn't just a business, but rather a group of humans who care about their customers. Thank you, Chewy, for caring about me and my sweet girl. Amazing!

Apparently as of recently Chewy started using OnTrac/LaserShip to deliver orders alongside of FedEx... If Chewy is going to start using that worthless delivery company that has such a bad reputation, then I'm not going to buy for them anymore and I've been a customer of them for 8 years now .. Using ontrac is a stupid idea chewy!!!

TWICE stealing now. First-time customer. January 2026 I order about $70. I give VERY specific delivery instructions + explained those instructions are because if left in the open porch we've had porch thieves. I'm on a limited income and this is a lot for me. Well, the FedEx driver dumped it right on the porch when I wasn't home (got video now). Now Chewy says "FedEx is not obligated to follow instructions, and it's not our responsibility" and is denying a refund. That's like the police saying there is no murder because they found no body. If you are FedEx's clients they HAVE to follow your instructions; if you don't make them, the responsibility is then YOURS.
I've tried solving this since late Jan. and they just leave me no choice but to go other ways to try recovering what they stole from me, because at this point, this is theft. To top this off, they just reprocessed a SECOND order of the same items yesterday, an UNAUTHORIZED transaction and they are not even responding to emails.

I called Chewy today so that I can order a stand with bowls for my dog to eat out of. I was talking to a lady. Her name was Claire. Claire was such a great person. Chewy is so lucky to have her. She was amazing. She was very patient with me. Very understanding with me. Ordered what I needed. Took the time to look it up for me. And I’ve ordered other things from chewy and everybody was always really great. Clara though was exceptional. Thanks Claire for your wonderful customer service. And thanks chewy for being such a wonderful company. She told me a little bit about how you guys are and I really love that. I’m doing business with you and will continue.

I contacted Chewy.com to question why I’m now paying more for less product (40 lb priced higher per unit than the discontinued 50 lb). Instead of a clear explanation, I received vague, scripted responses about ‘supply and demand’ and ‘great value.’ This felt like deflection rather than a real answer. Customers deserve honesty, not corporate talking points. Disappointing experience.

I have been ordering from Chewy for a long time. I have two small dogs, one of which is really sick with IBD. My vet recently prescribed Royal Canin HDiet for small dogs. I ordered it from Chewy. I uploaded the script. Everything was fine for the first bag. I just went onto the website to order another bag and it was an inactive. I called Chewy. I talked to several representatives. The first one was very pleasant. He then sent me to a vet representative within Chewy to find out why it was inactivated. Her name was Melissa. She was the rudest most insensitive person I’ve ever talked to especially when you have a sick dog at home. She told me to watch my mouth because I was starting to get upset on the phone. She would not clearly explain the problem of what happened.
I then was escalated to corporate. At that point they explained everything very clearly that my prescription was changed to cover a wide span of dog food, canned and dry. I don’t understand why they did this. My dog only eats dry kibble, and needless to say the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. I’m so disappointed and upset. Chewy has never treated me this way.

I’ve been using Chewy for almost 10 years, and they never disappoint. Even when something goes wrong, they fix it immediately. Every customer service rep I’ve spoken with has been incredibly kind and helpful. I’ve even received a few unexpected treats from them that made a huge difference. They truly value their customers.

Chewy is my favorite site for ordering anything for my fur babies. I always get prompt shipping. Much better than Amazon. Plus, when I have had an issue with a product (not their service), their customer service is prompt and courteous.

I placed an order on Chewy. I have never bought such pricey, cheaply made, cheesy JUNK in my life. I could of bought better quality products at the Dollar Tree. A cat box that was so thin and cheap plastic it won't hold up long and a litter mat that is so cheaply made, it is see-through. NEVER again, Chewy. Your products are crap!

Chewy provides outstanding service. If I need to discuss an issue, they respond to the call immediately with courtesy and warmth. They are willing to credit me for products my cats do not like. They had a florist deliver a darling bouquet of flowers to my home when one of my cats passed away. I love Chewy.

Great company EXCEPT, their most recent promo only lasted one week. I don’t buy pet food every week. Why not let the promo last for a month. That way more people would be able to take advantage of it. With a $100 minimum order to qualify, Chewy would sell more products.

Chewy is using misleading practices. Offer for auto shipping (Save 50% (up to $20) today and 10% on future orders). I decided to sign up for auto shipping, Chewy was offering 50% off the first order, (up to $20) when I went to place my order, it only took off $15, I called customer service, and was told, 50% is only off one item, not the entire order, It did not say anything about only off one item, the wording is, 50% off first auto shipping (up to $20.), I was expecting at least $20 off, (Applied: Save 50% on your first Autoship ) I received $15 off. My order was $119.00- therefore it should have been $20- not only did it say sign up for 50% off, it also said it when reviewing my cart but not once did it say, only on one item. I'm disappointed in Chewy, I thought they were better than that.

Absolutely suggest Chewy. I’ve been using them for cat food and litter (so I don’t have to lift the weight). Twice the CARRIER has caused issues and as soon as I reached out to chewy, no questions asked, they helped solve the problem. Thank you for great customer service!

I am a long-time customer who officially closed my account today due to a major breach of boundaries. After a simple issue with an order, Chewy.com attempted to inject themselves into my energy and space by sending an unsolicited return box and initiating a process I never consented to. As a business owner, I value autonomy and clear communication. Chewy’s refusal to listen to my 'No' and their insistence on an automated, high-hassle return process was the final straw. I have moved my business to local suppliers who respect my boundaries. If you value your peace of mind and sovereign control over your purchases, be warned: their 'convenience' comes with a heavy price of corporate overreach.

I have been using Chewy for 15++ years and their customer service has always been excellent. I just spoke with someone a while ago regarding my older dog who isn't doing very well and asked about returns in case of her passing. They assured me that I can return anything that is unopened with a full refund. Yesterday, I received a stuffed animal for my dog with a card that said "Sorry to hear your little one isn't feeling their best. Sending them lots of love, healing, and rest." This really made my day.

Once you order something they raise the price on every item. It gets insane how they keep raising the prices. You're better off going to the store. I use them for convenience but now I'm tired of the price increase on everything. It's not a small increase. They raise their price by $5 or more, even auto ship is not worth it.
