I ordered Dave's Restricted Diet cat food. I was told it would arrive in two days from the date I placed the order. Four days later (no shipping on Mondays), still no cat food. Amazon guarantees delivery in two days. If I would've been informed of the delay, I would not have placed this order. Never again. Go with Amazon. There is a reason they are better.

I have used Chewy auto pay for the past year. I could not recommend this company any more! They are absolutely amazing. Customer service is always helpful and nice. Changing or canceling auto pay is incredibly easy and painless. Shipments are always on time and in great condition!

Chewy has been unbelievable. The products are great quality. The prices are good. The shipping is quicker than most companies for the same price. I wanted to return a harness that was too large for our puppy and it did not come in xs. They promptly refunded my money. I asked how to return it to them and was told to donate it to an animal shelter. I was amazed, what a great company. That statement guarantees I will continue to shop with them.

I found Chewy.com about a year or so ago, ordered the special litter trays from them with auto ship to save money. Their price was much cheaper than the pet store chains, or Amazon. Well, last month we lost our sweet fur baby, Snuffles. Canceled auto ship and informed them that I had a full case plus 1/2 a case left, so didn’t need auto ship anymore and why. I received an email back from them with their condolences, and to donate the product to an animal shelter if I couldn’t find someone who could use them, (I did NOT ask for a refund thinking shipping return would cost too much).
The email also said they would refund my last order price, over 92 dollars, great customer service. A few days later a beautiful bouquet of flowers came, roses and carnations with a sweet note of condolences from the Jim and the Chewy family. This company truly has heart, and really cares about the fur babies it serves. I love them, their kindness brought tears to my family’s eyes.

I had called Customer Service to change my auto delivery because one of my dogs, Tara, had become diabetic. A few days later I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers along with a very special note from Carina and the Chewy Family. Chewy is the most compassionate company I have ever dealt with. Sadly, Tara passed away a week ago, on the 22 of Oct. I will continue to have Chewy send me food for my other dog.

I have a seven-month-old lab. Let me preface this by saying we have had many labs because we breed labs. However this particular lab is by far the most destructive dog we have ever had. Since recently providing her own private space to live in, I was looking for a bed that was indestructible. I contacted customer service and they recommended a particular bed for me. As a result, I ordered two. One for the puppy who destroys everything and another one for our six-year-old lab. With hesitation, I placed my puppy’s new bed in her doghouse and for safety‘s sake I even sprayed dog repellent on it so she wouldn’t chew it. Inside of an hour, she had completely destroyed the bed. Well not completely. I was able to re-stuff it and salvage enough that it could be repaired and used by the older lab.
I thought I would keep the one that had been damaged and return the one that had not been damaged. I contacted customer service and asked them to provide me details for a return. Very shortly, I received an email that said my credit card had been credited and I was free to do with the bed as I chose to do, but they hoped I would donate it to a shelter. I was in shock and replied to the email asking them didn’t they want the bed back? They replied quickly saying no. Donate the bed to the shelter if see it fitting. REALLY? They asked no questions. They didn’t want to know why I wanted to return the bed. They simply credited my card and told me to help out animals in the shelter. Ordering from this company is a no-brainer. You were at zero risk if you are not 100% happy with your product. They back everything they sell. They back every product they sell. I will not hesitate to order from this company again.

I am disabled. I have tried REPEATEDLY to get Chewy to lighten the boxes (to 20 pound max) for me, but without the $5.00 shipping charges. They will not do it. Adding another $10 ($5 times two boxes instead of one) to my order is unreasonable for someone on a fixed income. Shame on Chewy.

I needed to return a couch seat cover. Customer service answered instantly, no waits. I was refunded 100% of the cost and instead of asking me to send it back I was asked to donate it to a local shelter. WOW! Chewy, this is the coolest thing I have ever been asked of a company! Keep up the good work. Giving to others always comes back to you.

My mother bought me this cat toy for my new kitten. Not even a week after having it, I am extremely disappointed. It's broken! The product does not live up to the standards shown on the ad or on the TV show "My Cat from Hell." I am a big fan of that show. I am requesting a full refund and hope that I can trust Chewy.com whenever I need something else for my cat. As an 11-year-old am sad that the toy broke so fast and I know that the person who encouraged me to get my kitten, Jackson Galaxy, my role model, would not let me down this way. The toy just needs to be better. Please fix it.

I ordered a console dog car seat, it arrived today but was too small, so I went back online and ordered one in a larger size (about 100$), I then went on Chat with Chewy and inquired about how to return the smaller one. "Nathan **" responded they were reimbursing me 100% for the small one, I then asked about a return label and he asked if I would donate it to an animal shelter! Wow... so I'm heading over to my town's Humane Society tomorrow.

After losing our pet Chewy and their customer service department were so kind and considerate cancelled the auto ship we had set up and even sent a lovely floral arrangement to express their condolences which was really unexpected and a lovely gesture! Such a nice company.

I ordered a large crate for my SUV and when it arrived I realized it would not fit due to my error. I called Chewy and not only did I receive a refund but instead of shipping the crate back to Chewy they had me donate it to a local animal shelter. WONDERFUL COMPANY.

I have been using Chewy.com for several years. I was on the auto refill program and never had any issues with ordering, changing my refill date or billing. My German Shepherd sadly passed away last week, the day after a new shipment had arrived. He had EPI and was on a prescription food, so I knew not to give it to. I called Chewy and asked if I could return it since I hadn't even opened the box yet. They said not to worry about it. They refunded my credit card $96, the total cost of the shipment, and said to donate the food to a local shelter or rescue group in my dog's name. What a wonderful and sensitive company.

After the loss of our beloved Rocky Boy, we called in to cancel our monthly subscription. Our subscription had been running for several months with great success and superb attention to detail. We had a full month's supply of his meds and other needs that had not been used, they issued a full refund and requested we donate it our local Humane society. When on the phone with their staff she wished her condolences and heartfelt kindness toward our loss. A few days later the most beautiful flowers arrangement arrived at our home. The card wished us many happy memories and continued condolences for our pet from 'James and our Chewy family'. I never imagined we would receive such kind thoughtfulness. Our fur babies are family and Chewy realizes this in their service and support. Very heartwarming!

I have a subscription Chewy to have my dog food delivered. I was having trouble finding the food he needed in the stores all the time. It was only there sometimes so trying the subscription made sense to me they have never not had it. It's always delivered on time. I don't really even have to think about it except for last time it said it had been delivered by FedEx but yet it wasn't at my door so I called. Customer service answered on the first ring and said it may show up later but they weren't going to take that chance and we'll just send you another box. They did and said it would arrive by Tuesday and it was there on Monday when I get home from work. But so was the original box because it had been delivered to the wrong address so he called and ask them what I should do with it and told me to keep it and anything I couldn't use please donate to a shelter. That is what I call awesome customer service!

After the loss of our beloved pet, we called in to cancel out monthly subscription. Our subscription had been running for many months with great success and superb attention to detail. When on the phone with wonderful technician, Casey, she wished her condolences and heartfelt kindness toward our loss. At noon today an order of flowers arrived at our home. The card wished us many happy memories and continued condolences for our pet from ‘Casey and our Chewy family’. I never imagined we would receive just an amazing sentiment from a large corporation. Furbabies are family and Chewy realizes this in their service and support. Utterly heartwarming!

Chewy recently launched their online pharmacy and I happily switched my prescription from my vet's office to Chewy. My dog needs .5 MG of ** 2x daily and when the prescription arrived after approval from my vet I noticed the pills were different than those I had been giving her, but foolishly assumed it was just a brand issue. I started my dog on these new pills and within 3 weeks noticed her health was slipping... she has bad skin and the thyroid pills were really helping until they weren't.
The second shipment of ** arrived from Chewy and again the pills were different. I finally decided to look up the pills from my first order to discover that Chewy had sent me 60 5mg ** tablets (blood pressure medication). Not only had their mistake caused me to give my dog the wrong medication for a month, it also deprived her of the much needed thyroid med and her health has taken a hit. I called Chewy and they credited me for the first order. My vet suggested a kidney panel for my dog to ensure no damage had been done by the **.
I got the tests and sent the bill to Chewy. They agreed to pay for the bill and apologized for the mistake. It has been 10 days since I discovered their mistake and have not yet received a reimbursement check from Chewy. I have since stopped my recurring medication order from Chewy and will fill it locally. My dog has a long way to go to get back to where she was when this mistake happened and I can only hope no one else was sent the wrong meds by the pharmacy at Chewy.

I have been a loyal and happy Chewy.com customer for almost a year now. The past few weeks I have noticed a severely high increase in prices! Almost tripled on some things! I looked back on past orders, to reorder a few things, and they are disgusted higher now!! Example: Kong Extreme XL black one was $8.99 in May, it’s $19.99 now!! The Kong black ball was $6.49 in May, it’s more than twice that now! So much more items!! Why? So I emailed Chewy and got a lame email back about they need to keep up with supply and demand! Bull! They sold out to a pet chain and don’t give a crap now except to make money. Well they lost my business! Such a shame what happens when people get money hungry! Thanks Chewy for turning out like all the rest! So sad.

In the past few months, I have been experiencing difficulties with Chewy.com on my shipments. They advertise free 1-2 day shipping on their website for orders over $49, but this is not always the case. I just place an order Thur. morning and get notification that it isn't expected until Tues. Ok, that is ridiculous and at no time when I was checking out was I informed that FedEx apparently doesn't make deliveries on Mondays? That is just ridiculous. However, I blame Chewy for not paying for overnight delivery then. I don't understand why it wouldn't arrive on Sat. or Monday? I was told Chewy service reps have been pushing to get carrier policies on the website, but that hasn't happened yet. IT SHOULD. I will look to order through a more reliable company in the future.

I have been a customer for a few years. Since I moved to Oregon my deliveries continue to have broken, missing, or damaged items. I call and they apologize, replace the items, but it continues to happen. Today I was told that while I place my orders online, I should call after placing each order so that a note can be placed on the order to package things properly. Shouldn't that be the goal? Without a call from the customer? Ridiculous.

I have dealt with many online companies and pet store chains over the years. I have to say Chewy.com has to be the absolute best customer service I have ever experienced. I have a monthly autoship order for prescription dog food I need for one of my dogs. I have ordered other items like treats, costumes, toys etc. and I have never experienced one problem with my orders arriving quick and packed perfectly. When there is a delay, like for a prescription that needed to be mailed in, I am kept informed by email or a courtesy call on what is needed from me. Every single employee that I have spoke with has been so friendly, helpful and just amazing. I just can’t say enough about how much I love this company. Thank you Chewy for being the cream of the crop in everything you do, you have a customer for life!

They not only refunded the total of my auto ship, but asked that I donate the food to our local shelter. Their kind words and generosity went above and beyond. I placed HW Preventives order with them for 3 times and had no good experience. The 1st time after I placed order, my vet told me the HW Test record is expired. I called Chewy and talked to customer service. Told them please put on hold my order until I came back for vacation and they agreed. I called the vet and let them know too. During my vacation, couple voicemails left to me and I was not able to contact Chewy back because I am out of country without roaming service. Of course, I came back, found out they cancel my order. But that's okay. I understand.
So I called Chewy right after I got back to USA, asking them if I can place the order again. I told the lady I am taking my dog to do HW Test on the following 2-3 days because Vet is closed for weekend when I called in. The lady told me this is not a problem. She just placed the order for me through phone. On Monday, my order is cancelled again, without communication, simply informed me in email it's cancelled. Looks like all those communication I made in both phone calls does not exist and waste of my time. I called the 3rd time to Chewy asking for why. I was told I should not put in an order if the test is not done yet. And this is my fault??? But please, all customer service I've talked to know I don't have the test done and I am going to do it, nobody told me I should not place order??? Now you are accusing me of placing order in advance and I deserve cancellation? Fine.
I finally took my dog to done the HW Test and placed the order for the 4th time. You know what I got? An email saying Chewy contacted my vet and asking me to contact my vet. I called Chewy trying to figure out what I should do. Got connected to a lady in customer service is super rude. Seriously? I spent all those time trying to communicate with you guys are just useless and I even need to suffer from the bad attitude your CS gives!!! I feel like I am so dumb like begging for you to take my business. Chewy I sincerely suggest you to take a look into your pharmacy team and customer service team. The whole experience just make me sick and so uncomfortable!

We recently lost our cat and I totally forgot to cancel our autoship order during that time. I sent them an email after I received notice that our shipment was on its way. Chelsea from Chewy emailed me back almost right away. She refunded our payment and was so compassionate and sincere hearing about our loss. We exchanged a couple emails and let me tell you, I was honestly surprised and touched by the kind words from this great customer service rep in a big company. About a week later, we received flowers from Chelsea and Chewy Family. I was at a total loss for words for the kindness that we received. Losing a fur baby is always hard but they definitely knew how to treat their customers during this time. Chewy is absolutely wonderful!!!

I order two different kinds of wet cat food (urinary tract) and Gentle dry food for my cats. My order arrives the next day. However, one time, an extra that I ordered had spilled out onto the other boxes/bags. I notified Chewy that I could not use that stuff, although the other cans etc were good. They immediately credited my credit card. I was real hesitant to use them to begin with, never mind use autoship, but they have never disappointed me.

My dog food are Blue grain free Adult formula but my vet suggested to change for the Senior stage. When the order for Senior food came and I checked the formula I noticed the has brown rice. We call the customer service and they not only send me the before formula free (because they don’t have Blue Senior grain free formula) until I look for a new food without charge, then also told me that we no needed to return the Senior food and we can donate to a shelter. So easy and faster response. Thank you Chewy!

6 day shipping not 1-2. I placed an order Friday night. I would understand it not being delivered until Tuesday due to the weekend but Thursday is a little ridiculous. When I emailed them they said they do not guarantee the 1-2 day shipping. DON'T ADVERTISE IF YOU CAN'T DELIVER!

I have been ordering from Chewy for about a year now and I will be perfectly honest here, I have never found a company more compassionate and willing to fix errors in my entire life. Their customer service is next to none and they ship their products in 1-2 day free shipping (orders over $49) and my orders have never taken the full two days to make it to my doorstep. Their prices are also unbeatable, as I have compared them to Amazon and other major pet companies and they still beat nearly all of their competitors with pricing. I cannot recommend them highly enough, they have made it so much easier to spoil my pets and also buy them the products that they need.

My friend's dog was injured when a loose dog attacked her. She has some wounds and is recovering. I sent her some plush toys to cuddle with. My friend sent me a picture of the toys and one was a duplicate. I sent an email with the picture and told Chewy what happened. Within 6 hours I got an email stating they had made a mistake and would send a replacement and to keep the duplicate. I am so happy we still have companies like this. Great job!!

To start, I have two cats, one of which is set on a prescription diet for life. Buying the prescription food through Chewy is much cheaper than if I were to buy it from the vet. We have an auto-ship set up and it’s always on time and we have never had problems with that. But where my real praise comes from is their customer service/relations. They send me handwritten cards periodically thanking us for our business and just recently sent us hand painted portraits of our cats! I had sent some silly pictures to them of the cats in one of their boxes and a couple months later to my surprise I received these wonderful paintings! I highly recommend this company, I have nothing but positive experiences with them.

We started shopping at Chewy.com about 9 months ago & honestly, haven't looked back since! They have the best made in USA products for our furkids, the calming treats for our anxious, blind 9-year-old fur angel & our favorite wet & set dog food, so we are no longer dragging that home from the grocery store! My cat, Moki, benefitted from his monthly delivery of cat food, his preference, Crave Salmon. Recently, he disappeared and may have been killed by coyotes in our area. Chewy staff sent flowers and a kind note expressing their appreciation of our loss. Having been tearful for the past week, their kind gesture was heart warming. I recommend them to all who appreciate great service from a compassionate perspective.

The first few autoship orders went fine. However the last two orders have been delayed by the company, Lasership that is making the delivers. Not FedEx which is the shipping company on Chewy's website. According to the tracking with my order, My order has been out for delivery for three days. The reason for no delivery is different everyday, external problem, business closed (address is a home), the third day no reason. Chewy wants to reship my order not give me a refund. If they can't find my home this order, Why would I believe they can deliver the next order?

I ordered dog clippers from Chewy. The quality was not great and they were not easy to use. I put them on a shelf and forgot about them. While placing a new order 3 days ago I noticed them on the page and decided to write a review warning other prospective purchasers about the product. The very next day I got an email from Chewy telling me they were crediting my card back for the purchase and just to keep the clippers and give them to someone who might be able to use them! It absolutely blew me away that they actually read the reviews and gave me my money back. Did NOT expect that! This company is unbelievable! I don't know how they ship for free either. There is usually litter in my order and my package is always heavy AND my order always comes the next day. Needless to say they have made a loyal customer for life. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

I have dealt with Chewy since January 2017 - I frequently purchase items online from various retailers and Chewy has the best customer service by far that I have ever dealt with. They seem to genuinely care about not only you but your pet as well! I even received a random 4"x4" hand painted canvas in the mail today from them for no reason at all!
Also, after just opening a new bag of dog food, I found out my dog has the beginning stages of kidney disease and needed a new diet - I assumed that the newly opened bag of food was simply money down the drain, but of course Chewy refunded me and suggested I donate the bag of food if I was able (and then of course sent well wishes to my boy!). Just a couple of reasons Chewy is the best.

I ordered a prescription required medication for my 13 year old Golden Retriever and 8 year old Great Dane. I sent in said paper prescription as requested. TWO ** weeks later, with $$ taken from account, the order was canceled. A customer service rep called and tried to get it fixed resulting in: 1 placed order canceled. 1 other order placed canceled. 1 order placed, $$ taken and then canceled.
Calling into to CS they were unbelievably unhelpful. "No can't tell you what happened; no, can't confirm the information you were provided (discount on auto-ship for meds since prescription was for 4 refills), no, can't tell you anything. Sorry." Another CS rep said there'd be a discount (can't see it), and that he'd make sure I had the meds by Weds of this week. Email just arrived, THAT order was canceled as well. CRAP CRAP CRAP. Order from 1-800-PetMeds. On that note? One full week after submitting to Chewy, I ordered a different prescription through PetMeds, with a written script. Sent that script in, and you know what? I received the prescription meds last week; within 1 week of ordering. Still waiting on Chewy which is the more required med. Ugh.

I ordered a crate for my dog who hurt her back and is supposed to be on crate rest. Also purchased some dog food for my other babies. Well, I ordered on a Saturday, and 1-2 days shipping should put it here by Monday (or Tuesday). I received an Email from Chewy saying that my order has shipped on the 6th (it is now the 8th). Called Chewy after tracking showed my package being over 1000 miles from my house. Spoke with customer service and only then was I informed that "If you order on Saturday after 3 pm, then you can expect to receive your package on Wednesday!"
I live in Florida in the path of a hurricane (Michael) that is supposed to hit Wednesday afternoon!!! I was planning on leaving the area with my dogs for safety sake, but now I have to either let my dog who is injured flop around in my car without a crate, or go and purchase another one elsewhere because Chewy doesn't say up front how long it takes for their stuff to reach its destination!!! Thanks for NOTHING!!!

So, I saw an ad on the Chewy.com app offering 30% off first orders, and was thrilled, since I am planning to buy a bird, and needed several hundred dollars of supplies to prepare a comfortable home for my new pet. After spending a couple of hours carefully selecting all the things I would need, close to $400, I was excited to think about how much money I was going to save. It was only then that I happened to read the small font disclaimer under the "30% off" ad. It was then I realized that the offer was misleading, and approaching false.
The 30% off was only good for "up to $20" of my total order, and only if my first order was an automatic monthly reorder. I'm sure Chewy.com could point out that their ad was legal, and did contain a disclaimer, I believe the placement of the ad banner and large font at the top of their home page was purposely meant to mislead. I probably would have ordered from Chewy.com if they had not been offering the ad for 30% off my first order, but, this ad has put me off of ever ordering from Chewy.com.

We have been ordering my cats prescription food from Chewy. Always prompt and on time. Recently my Kitty passed away. They were very thoughtful and caring. Even offering to provide me with someone to speak with about the grief of losing a beloved pet. About a week later flowers and a card showed up. Express their caring for my loss. I am absolutely blown away by the customer service experience. In my worse moment they took multiple extra steps to comfort me like an old friend. I would recommend Chewy to anyone! ❤️

I don’t think I have ever been as impressed with the level of customer service that I am with Chewy. I have been a customer for around a year. The prices, selection, and convenience can’t be beat! I have never had a single issue until my last order and I was missing a couple of items. I emailed them and received a response in less than 30 minutes. They promptly shipped out the missing items but that isn’t what impressed me. They actually made the experience personal. They asked about my pets and asked me to share a picture. I thought that was so neat! I shared a pic of my 3 dogs and shared that one of them in the picture had recently passed. Much to my surprise I came home less than a week later to flowers from the rep that I spoke to and a card that said they were sorry for my loss! I am blown away! I don’t get that level of service at local stores! I would recommend Chewy to anyone!

I ordered a flea collar for my Dog that was to work for 9 months, stopped after 4 months. I then did a live chat with them and replaced the collar no problem, even received it the next day! That was months ago. Now just the other day I received an oil painting portrait of my Dog (done from photo sent to them) and it is perfectly our little Vern. I had a charge on my bank statement from Chewy. com. 8 have never ordered from there. However I do shop at Pet Smart. I believe they own Chewy. com. I went to the bank and quickly resolved the issue. Now a month later my fiance goes online to do banking and get has a charge for $49.99???? We do not order anything from there. We do go to Pet Smart and get fish food from time to time. Please if anyone else is going through the same thing, speak up. It seems very odd that they are charging people when they shouldn't have your cc information if you have never ordered anything from their website. This can become a serious matter if not looked into further.

Placed an order with this company to try it out and save a little money. To receive an email two days later stating that my order was cancelled! Called to ask why and was told they couldn’t verify my billing address? Everything was entered correctly! I said, "Well it’s already gone thru on my account," and I was told, "Well we put a hold on it but if you’d like to place another order then you can do it on the phone now (with the same info previously given when order was placed) and I can put it thru for you. You’ll just have to wait up to 48 hours to have the original hold amount available back to you..." Really, no thanks! That’s messed up and makes no sense... I’m NOT paying you “again“ and putting myself out. Instead I’ll take my butt to the pet store like I should of just done to begin with. I was curious as to why 1-2 day shipping would take 4 days in my case and, not only did they fully explain the delay, but they gave me a partial refund to provide for my furbabies in the interim. I have been an “auto ship” customer for almost 5 years. Religiously, I have my dogs' food shipped to me every three weeks. It has been the same dog food the entire time I’ve been a member. The price started off amazing. No one could match it and the free/fast shipping was a bonus. This way I could avoid the Pet Valu store altogether. Over the next three years the price for their natural balance dog food kept creeping up. It used to be 51.29 dollars and now has magically climbed to 70.89. I called Chewy and they said that they change their rates as natural balance changes theirs.
It made sense to me until I went to Pet Valu and their prices have not changed. Pet Valu said they would match Chewy's lowest rate and that although the price may vary slightly as time goes by, it will not likely jump $20. I called Chewy and brought this up and the rep was almost speechless and had nothing really to say. The Chewy staff has ALWAYS been very kind on the phone and always personable. Almost every rep has asked me about my dogs and seemed very happy to serve. The $20 has me weighing my account with them. I just find it hard to believe and can see I am no longer getting the “lowest rate.”

We put in an $800 order. We are a dog training company and needed some supplies for customers so we put in an order, fast forward 4 days no order, call customer service promise it will be there tomorrow. No show, call ask for a supervisor promise it will be there THE NEXT DAY. No show, call again different supervisor, "oh sorry," they say FedEx tried to deliver. We tell them, "We get FedEx delivery all the time", they know what to do, have cameras at gate, call box etc lots people were here all day. So we call another supervisor, oh he says, “Oh FEDEX could not find it.” We have FedEx delivery every day, Call again another supervisor, tells me to call FedEx. “Absolutely you will get it tomorrow.” (We are now on day 4 of you will get it tomorrow promise for sure), No show.
Back to custom service at Chewy. He now says it is the hurricane in South Carolina, that one almost sent me off the deep end. Every person had a different story. I had now talked to 7 supervisors and 7 different (because you can never get the same person twice at FedEx) supervisors at FedEx. We are now 8 days in. REMEMBER THE 1 TO 2 DAY SHIPPING, YEAH NOT AT ALL! Now I call again to talk to another supervisor hopefully higher up. Finally talk to someone named Corey who finds out it is back in their warehouse. Had anyone at FedEx or Chewy called us, while we waited for 8 days and our clients waited and we spent $800, nope... I had to call twice a day and get a different story every time and never get the real story until I pushed and pushed and it was in their warehouse and NONE of the supervisors told me that and we had clients waiting on their products.
Nice way to run a company, provide customer service and be helpful to us who could have been a potential very good client for them. It was amazingly badly handled, unbelievable and each of them lied, gave a different story and did not even try to find out the truth. From the hurricane (we are in Colorado) to the cannot find your address, already had one Chewy delivery here (that one was two weeks, this was to give them a second chance) and FedEx has delivered here for 18 years to it will be there guaranteed tomorrow for 8 days!!! For an $800 order.

I was recommended to shop at Chewy.com from several family members. And I usually pick up my pet stuff on the way home from home. However now that I am pregnant I work from home more and used it for my first time. And it was by the far the best experience I have ever had. Their customer service is absolutely amazing, I can’t even describe the customer service I have received. Never in America I have seen this. I am now a huge supporter and telling co-workers and others to shop there. They are incredible.

Very rarely do I receive an order that has a problem, but if I do, they actually ANSWER the phone. Yes, I know that’s unheard of these days but it’s true. I don’t have this impending doom come over me when I have to call because they always do the right thing, without having to ask them. I wish more companies valued their customers as Chewy does. I have been ordering from Chewy for at least two years. I have always found their prices, especially on prescription cat food, to be exceptional. They have always handled obtaining the required information from my Vet - flawless process and very convenient. Products have always arrived in great condition and practically next day because our town has a distribution center nearby. What really sealed the deal for me is when I accidentally ordered two cases of my cat’s prescription food AND Max suddenly stopped “liking” the food. I was left with $96 worth of canned wet food - what to do? On a whim I decided to call and see if I could at least return the one unopened flat.
To my utter surprise a real live person (Alice) answered the phone at 7:15 am and was ready to assist. She was very pleasant and professional. Like many of the other reviewers have indicated she offered to refund my full purchase price and suggested that I donate the remaining cans to a local shelter. AMAZING! I love that this company encourages donation to shelters instead of spending more money getting the product back. I thought it well worth my time to review my experience. I purchase most if not all things for my dog on Chewy.com, and have had a couple of times whereby I accidentally purchased the wrong item, quantity or otherwise made some sort of mistake (by my own error) when ordering. I am consistently amazed at not only how quickly they respond -- not with a recorded message that takes me through several prompts -- but an actual person responds, within less than a couple of rings. They are always so friendly and clearly passionate about animals, inquiring and wanting to hear about your pet, and most of all SO helpful. Even though each time the error was by my own fault, they go out of their way to provide true support that leaves me in absolute awe. We order both prescription food, treats, and medicine from Chewy. Our orders are always on time, well packaged, and pricing is competitive with other vendors. We recently switched to Chewy.com for our dog's medicine. He suffers from Cushing's disease. The previous company that we dealt with took a lot longer to ship his medicine (about a week) and I became concerned with the amount of time it was spending in transit, especially with the record heat that we had been experiencing. Chewy gets his medicine to our door within 2 days! They're the best company that I have dealt with.

I am a loyal Chewy customer and will remain so unless they continue to do nothing on this one issue. I have contacted Chewy twice now with concern about the fact that they continue selling grain-free dry dog food even though studies have shown a direct, provable link between a grain-free dry dog food diet and major heart disease. I'm posting this because Chewy has so far done nothing to remove these dangerous products from their line of dry dog foods. I want people to know about this issue so that maybe at least a few will not buy the grain-free dry dog food and maybe even one or two will also contact Chewy with concern about this issue. I have been using Chewy.com for many years now. At first it was to order my cat's prescription food because it was cheaper (came with free shipping because it was over $50. Then for convenience I started order their regular dry food and cat litter on a recurring delivery. Costs less than PetCo. Every six weeks my delivery shows up on schedule. The one time one of the bags of cat food broke, I reached out to Chewy, told them, and they rush shipped me a replacement bag. Asked them for a little help recently. They went above and beyond what I asked for. Their customer service is exceptional. Every time I contact them they are polite, friendly, and helpful. I'll stay a loyal customer.

Chewy needs to do several things. Getting rid of FedEx and Lasership should be the first move. Things never arrive on time or in one piece anymore, and last week I received a package that FedEx (who will take anything you want to ship) left with 30% peroxide dripped on it. Boxes are not supposed to be delivered if damaged, much less with a dangerous chemical. Obviously they are not following proper procedure. Someone had attempted to rinse off my box and actually washed it INTO the box more. When they delivered after dark and I began unwrapping, I got a severe chemical burn.
FedEx would not tell me until the next day what the substance "might" be. I consulted a chemist because I needed to know HOW to treat what possibly burned me. The box was bleached white. I notified Chewy immediately. They NEVER called me back to tell me what the substance was yet each time told me they were "escalating" my case within their team. Despite this having been said several times, I had to initiate every contact with Chewy AND FedEx and demand someone look for incident reports and remove the boxes and food from my property. My trash people would not take it. Chewy told be how concerned and appalled they were every time I spoke. Offered me $15 credit on future orders, tried to re ship - FedEx left new box in the rain and did not get signature as requested. SIX days the box sat there while FedEx told them "tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow" repeatedly.
And all the while Chewy just acted appalled and never once checked with me to ASK if it had been picked up. I had to call each day to say it was still here. Meanwhile raccoons got into the food inside the box. I hope they were not burned. Finally when I told Chewy I was contracting a certified removal company, they told me they "escalated" the case again with FedEx and they'd be there THAT day. After I already hired someone. And that is the last I have heard from them. All they have to offer is platitudes - no action. They let hazardous materials sit in my yard while I had to keep my pets inside and away for SIX days. All the while saying how they "cared" and I was "family".
Well, I don't talk to family like that, and I will no longer be doing business with Chewy. They have not offered to reimburse me for the removal fee or ask if I had any trouble getting it removed. Meanwhile people are posting gifts of hand painted pet portraits they are getting as GIFTS from Chewy. You know, customer service is also about SOLVING PROBLEMS, not just offering platitudes and replacing delivery after delivery that went wrong. This is not the first issue from FedEx and Lasership and Chewy is well aware, yet choose to associate themselves with them. They of all should know if you lay down with dogs you wake up with fleas. Your business will fail if you keep associating with the dregs of delivery when delivery is supposed to one of your points of pride. Oh and yes, my hand is healing but still quite a mess.

I recently had a recurring order placed that I had forgotten to stop. When I called Chewy to see if they could still cancel my order or if it was going to be too late, they refunded me my whole money and gifted me the items since they had already been shipped. I ordered medicine for my dog on August 27. Chewy contacted my vet for approval. My vet prefers a written prescription which I obtained and mailed to Chewy. Chewy called 3-4 times a day and continued to harass my vet with requests for a fax approval, even though Chewy had the written prescription. The company's Customer Service team does not have access to any Pharmacy notes and the Pharmacy does not have access to Customer Service notes.
Representatives and Managers on the Pharmacy side promised at various times to: overnight the prescription, provide the order free of charge because of my experience (not requested by me), personally follow the order to be certain the prescription was filled, and to call me back. None of these promised were fulfilled. Twenty three days later (23) I do not have the medication. (Yes, I went to my vet and my dog never missed a dose.) The people I have spoken with at Chewy have all been polite and dismayed. It's the business model that is a failure. I would not trust this company to provide the correct medication on any order. They have no idea what they are doing.

Chewy.com can now count me as a regular and loyal customer! Often I shop in person for pet supplies, but decided to setup an auto-ship with Chewy.com. I got food, and I made a mistake of advancing my auto-ship and ended up with two unopened bags. No big deal, except one of my dogs developed an allergy to the food (they were transitioning off a grain-free food) and I was bummed to have $90 of unusable food.
I contacted Chewy.com, they refunded the money, and had me donate it to a local rescue. I think it is AMAZING that they do this. The cost and annoyance of shipping it back was frustrating but like others experienced, instead of making me go through that, they gave my money back and I got to help some animals in need. Only makes me want to shop there more as I know they care about customers, their pets, and all animals in need. I'll be moving all my pet purchases over to Chewy!

Chewy customer service has helped me out on numerous occasions. One particular occasion touched my heart and I just had to write a review. When my elderly cat who I loved DEARLY passed away, I contacted Chewy customer service and asked if there was any way I could return/be refunded for the brand new case of prescription food I had ordered for my kitty but wasn't able to use due to her passing. The website states that they do not accept returns on prescriptions; however, I double checked with them through chat and when I explained the situation I was refunded and asked to donate the case to a local shelter in my kitty's honor. I placed my first order with Chewy using the autoship discount. After two days, they emailed me saying the discount can only be used once per address. My order was cancelled and they closed my account. I moved into my apartment not even a month ago (college student) and had never used the autoship before. I figured the tenant before me used it and although I was annoyed, I let it go. I tried to sign into my account to make sure the autoship was cancelled and it said my account no longer existed. Apparently, they don't take into account that people aren't confined to one residence for their entire life. People move.
Today, two months later, I woke up to a message that my checking account was overdrafted by Chewy. They did not cancel the autoship after banning my account which I find ridiculous and underhanded. I can't access the live chat to speak to someone because it requires me to sign in, which I can't do. Now I have to deal with a $35 overdraft fee because of Chewy's incompetence. I have no doubt this is done on purpose to charge people the full amount and make it hard for them to cancel. I will never order anything from here again and have been telling every pet owner I know about this. You're better off ordering from Amazon when they offer 40% off of pet food on top of a discount price. At least they don't try to scam people.

Follow up is first rate. Customer service is first rate. Shipping is first rate. Prices are very competitive and below store cost. They contacted my vet to iron out a Rx delivery for my cat Rosie and thanks to them the prescription arrived. On a previous order the shipper did not deliver Rx cat food to my door and I thought it was lost. They took responsibility, reordered my items and sent it using a different carrier. Turns out the original shipment finally arrived and when I wanted to repay them they declined and never charged me for the second delivery. This company goes out of their way to offer a first-rate product source for your pet. I highly recommend them.

I purchased a cat bowl with a rubber ring to keep it in one place. Simple correct? Wrong! Not a happy camper. When I received the bowl the rubber was too smelly for me let alone my feline. Their sense of smell is more sensitive than humans. Sprayed an odor neutralizer & aired it 4 days. Results, awful smell still there. Since I was having a HORRIBLE day I was hoping I didn’t take it out on the person who answered the phone. Samantha couldn’t of have been more service oriented & had a great sense of humor & a pleasant demeanor. She won me over & literally had a calming effect on me. ;) It was quite common to receive helpful service at most businesses once upon a time. However, yrs later our society along with business have changed dramatically for the worse, but I didn’t find this at Chewy.com with Samantha.
She’s an asset to Chewy.com. She is sending a replacement without me having to send mine back & will have the stock person check to make sure I receive 1 without an odor. This is extremely helpful because of limited transportation & health issues & of course I don’t want to be bothered with calling about another smelly bowl. Because of her understanding demeanor & service, I asked her opinion about a toy for my dog to enjoy & maybe help relieve some anxiety my dog is picking up from me. She recommended Dr. Lyon’s calming aid that she gives her dog & she finds it helpful. Animals can’t talk so we need to try & figure out what to do. I appreciate when people share their experiences. I’ll come back & report on how it works for my dog.
She also recommended Kong plush toys for my chewer. I asked her she wasn’t a pushy salesperson. She too has a chewer & her dog hasn’t chewed through them even though he works hard at it. My dog does the same thing. It’s their mission in life. ;) I will come back & report on these toys as well. I purchased a much more expensive ball/toy & Gidget was not interested. She has picked it up a few times & but the toy/ball is a bust. Just a side note: I’m not a gullible person just the opposite & yet I feel confident that Samantha was giving me her honest experiences. I will come back with the results.
I will now be ordering my cat food & litter "World's Best Cat Litter" been using for about 17 yrs? (Been a while) with Chewy instead of Walmart. Their prices either match Walmart or better & of course lower prices than pet stores. This helps me out a great deal because I don’t have to ask/rely/bother a friend or my son to help me with ANOTHER :( errand. ;) Yay! I highly recommend Chewy.com. With the integrity of the company I will probably get on automated ordering.

I couldn’t believe how incredibly nice they were! It was such a kind gesture during a hard time. Then today I received a beautiful flower arrangement from my customer service rep on behalf of Chewy. We recently acquired a new puppy, who is growing rapidly. Because of her growth and energy I've had to place multiple orders in the last few months with Chewy. Twice I've had to call Chewy, once because an order was not exactly right and once because FedEx lost our package. Both times the customer service person was friendly, attentive and very helpful. Both times, the problem was fixed without question and items were shipped out when Chewy promised they would be shipped.
However, today was my favorite experience with Chewy. The big ticket item, a large kennel, that FedEx lost was delivered to a neighbor who brought it to us. Chewy had already sent a replacement, so now we had two of the item. We decided we would eventually need two, so I called Chewy to ask how I could pay for the second. The customer service person was so sweet. He said that almost no one ever called and offered to pay for double items. He said that FedEx would cover the initial mistake and that there was no way for him to even charge me for the 2nd kennel without shipping an order. He said we were welcome to keep both kennels and he thanked me for my business. I'm sold. I'll keep buying all my pet supplies from Chewy.

WOW!!! Once you hear how over and beyond Chewy goes for their customers you too will want to become a lifelong customer. Our sweet 15 year old Australian Shepherd, Sadie, who was also my Service Dog and Therapy Dog, passed away on Monday/16 July 2018. For over 10 years she brought comfort and joy to many people in our community. We had thought for the past week that since she was getting a little wobbly on her feet that she might be able to use a doggie wheelchair so we ordered a very nice one through Chewy. I want to mention that she was in no pain at all, just weak from old age muscle loss.
The wheels arrived in 2 days, however by then she was not able to use it so we set it aside for the week and 3 days after her passing I called Chewy to discuss a refund. I was brought to tears while on the phone with the representative who was cheerful without being overly so and also expressing his sympathy for us - It was a very pleasant conversation. He asked that I donate the wheelchair and had already credited my account for the full amount which was over $200. He also noticed that I had ordered 3 of another product 6 months earlier and which was fairly expensive (but I didn't even mention it to him) and he credited me for that amount also, asking that I donate the products.
It gets even better - I mentioned that I was going out of town in a day or so, and he said he hated to break the surprise but they were going to send me a floral arrangement! I asked that since they do this act of kindness routinely, that the flowers instead be donated to someone having a bad day - which he said he would and give them in memory of our sweet Sadie. He did warn me though that they would be sending us a card, which we will gladly accept. Whew - had I known ahead of time the SUPERIOR customer service and GENUINE compassion I received - I would have been better prepared with several tissues. What a nice company. The rep said he loved working for Chewy and that it was truly a great company to be associated with. We do not have other pets now, but in time I'm sure we will open our hearts and home again. I will be doing as much pet related business with this company as is possible.

I had recently moved and ordered a few boxes of cat food. Without thinking about updating address I had it delivered to the old house. I called in and explained my own forgetfulness and they updated my address on file. They then replenished my order to new address free of charge. I purchased a dog harness for my 110 pound German Shepherd mix dog. I had previously purchased dog large and extra large harnesses from another online company. I purchased a harness sized "XXL" harness from Chewy.com. This harness also was too small. Although the other two purchases from the other company were refunded when I returned the merchandise, I was amazed when the rep at Chewy.com told me I was being refunded the purchase price and shipping fee but I did not need to return the product. She suggested I donate it to a local shelter. What a wonderful program and attitude for a company to have! I will continue to make purchases for my pets from Chewy.com just because of this practice!

August 24: Ordered critical meds for my pets. August 29: Still have not received anything. Called. Chewy rep says "Meds are shipped today". Sept 2: Still nothing. Called. Chewy rep says "Meds not shipped; Still waiting for approval from your vet". It's Labor Day weekend so that will not happen until Sept. 4. Sept 4: Checked with vet and here is the real history:
Aug. 24: Chewy received meds order over the weekend. Aug. 26: Chewy called in the meds over the phone. Vet was clear they do not do VERBAL prescriptions [that should have been obvious!]. Aug. 27 AM: Chewy sent a faxed request for prescriptions; Vet approved and faxed back. Aug. 27 PM: Chewy said they did not receive fax; Vet faxed again prescription a 2nd time. [Saw proof of fax so Chewy did get the faxed prescription 2x on Aug.27]. >> but nothing happened. Chewy does not ship.
So: Aug. 29, when I called: I'm told "meds are shipped" but they are not! Sept 2:, when I called: "No, meds are not shipped; waiting for approved prescription from Vet". That's when I cancelled my order with Chewy.com and ordered at VetRxDirect which process my pets meds orders in less than 1 day. In the meantime I scramble to bring cat to Emergency Vet to get emergency meds to tide me over during Labor Day weekend before receiving shipment from VetRxDirect. I blame Chewy and consider they should reimburse urgent pet care. I had to pay because of their incompetence. DON'T BUY MEDS AT CHEWY.COM. THEY WILL LET YOUR PETS DIE BEFORE SHIPPING THE ORDERED MEDS. Buy instead at VetRxDirect which are more efficient and care about ensuring critical meds get to your pets fast.

I have a 1-year-old male cat who recently developed crystals in his kidneys and is now at risk for kidney stones. My vet had me switch him over to a prescription urinary tract diet which meant I could no longer feed him the adult dry kibble I'd been purchasing from Chewy.com. I called Chewy.com to start a return for the 3 unopened bags of dry kibble I had in my pantry. The rep. I spoke to at Chewy.com refunded me for the full purchase price AND told me I could donate the unopened bags to a shelter, vet or cat in need! I am so touched by their fast, friendly and generous service. I will definitely continue to purchase from them and spread the word about their great service and generosity!

On 30 August, my Visa card posted a pending payment of over $130 to Chewy.com. Although I contacted the company by phone and email, pointing out that the order was made in a different name from mine, and although I was told that the charge would be refunded before moving from pending to paid, the charge as of today (2 September) is now in the paid column. Staff at Chewy are friendly but a bit clueless. I was told a few minutes ago by the latest phone rep that she did not know "how this had slipped through our fingers."

I absolutely love their prices and selection, but it ends there. Once you hit "place order" the excitement of saving money is over. It will never be delivered to your door, even if that's the most convenient place, it still won't make it there. I have a driveway and sidewalk that leads straight to my front door, nope instead I find my boxes somewhere in the driveway and they are ALWAYS smashed. They will not package your order in a way that makes sense. Big items smash everything else. I had cat vitamins that were literally powder from being smashed so much. Chewy will replace the items, but it's every single time! Petco delivers to my door and nothing is ever destroyed! Chewy acts like this is no big deal. Flea preventive came flat as a pancake! My boxes are never even taped closed because they're so destroyed upon delivery. Needless to say I had to switch to Petco.

I've always had positive things to say about Chewy.com, but tonight in one instance, that is all gone. Deleted. Just like I've done to my account with Chewy. I tried to cancel an order about an hours after I placed it because I found another product that fit better to what I wanted. I was told that the order couldn't be cancelled because the warehouses are all over the country and there was no one that could read the request to cancel. However, if they could stop the shipper from taking the order I would receive a refund 11 days later. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE to me! If there was someone there to take the order, then there is someone there to stop the order. Chewy was quick to place a pending transaction to my bank account, but they aren't too fast at giving my money back. GOOD-BYE, Chewy.

Chewy prefers to satisfy their greed by using a less than one star rated shipping company called LASERSHIP that will not leave your package at your front door. They prefer to lose a good customer rather than guarantee that large orders be delivered by FEDEX. LASERSHIP leaves the delivery unattended in the lobby of our building without making an attempt to ring the bell or deliver to the door. I have called the parent company PETSMART who divests themselves in doing anything to help a customer nor does CHEWY care about it crass poor business politics. After years of doing business with Chewy I am leaving them and going elsewhere.

My dog was ill and on a special (expensive) diet. I placed an order for a case of her canned food from Chewy.Com and two days later, sadly, she passed away. With what wits I had, I called Chewy.Com to cancel the order but it had already shipped. Instead of having me send it back the operator refunded my money, no questions asked, and advised me to donate the food to a shelter. Our shelters are overwhelmed with lost and homeless dogs as we (in northern CA) continue to deal with last October's fire and the new ones. The food was much appreciated and I feel the company's sensitivity was above and beyond the call.

If you keep anything on hand so you never run out and it's recalled, you better hope it's within one year of purchase because if not, Chewy will not refund your money or replace the product. My item was un-opened and good till 2020. I bought it 13 months ago. The manufacturer is sending me a refund. Chewy does not make their refund/exchange policy known. GOTCHA! But I got very upset and told them to cancel the $56 order I had placed earlier today. They wisely decided to send me an alternate product that costs less than what I paid originally. Their customer service is really slipping. It may be time to bail. There's always Amazon.

Someone stole my credit card number and spent almost $100. Shawntel stayed on the phone with me and even got assistance until they tracked down the purchase, she refunded my money and told me what to do next regarding making a police report. She was caring, kind and compassionate with me regarding my situation. And I don’t even have an account with them but I was still treated the way you would expect to be treated by someone you have an account with. The store who got most of my money from this person wouldn’t even look in to it and I am a customer of Target. So if Chewy.com will treat a non customer like that I can’t imagine how well they treat their customers. I will recommend them to friends and family.

Okay I left Chewy because shipping issues. They used to be great before it started to blow up. Now they don't care about us because they think they are big. The prices went up not even a little but by 30 to 40 percent as I have proof. Also Amazon is a bit more expensive than other stores and guess what? It's cheaper than Chewy. Because with auto ship Amazon does 5, 10, 15 percent off as Chewy changed their prices to match Amazon but only do 5 percent with autoship. Also with an Amazon card you get 5 percent cash back. That means up to 15 percent cheaper than Chewy who claims to be 30 percent off. Go to Amazon. Don't support a company that gets greedy. Let them know if you mistreat customers and get greedy. Our word of mouth can return them to their nobody status.

We’ve been ordering from Chewy for maybe a year or two (though only recently set up auto ship). When we recently moved, I forgot to change my auto ship address and worried that I didn’t catch it in time for the next order. Customer service got it changed and rerouted and edited my future orders for me in no time. When we lost our pooch a few days ago, I emailed to cancel my auto ship and see if I could return a bag of food that had just been delivered and was still unopened. They refunded my payment to me and told me to donate the food to a shelter instead of sending it back (which we did). I got home today to find a beautiful flower bouquet had been delivered to us from them offering their condolences. Just a genuinely kind company. I’m only giving this five stars because more than that isn't an option!

I called yesterday 8.24.18, because the merchandise I received, ONLY ONE PACKAGE was damaged and the guy I spoke with said, he just processed my refund and I can give those merchandise to a shelter, I told him to send me a return label and he emailed two of them which I did not receive the second package yet, I had told him to reroute it with FedEx. This is my third order from Chewy which I've always been satisfied with until today I ordered something. I called back to add to it. The gentleman assured me he wouldn't charge me shipping and handling. When I asked him if he was going to take it out of my bank he said no you'll see it in the email but you will not see it on your statement. I get a notification from my bank two hours later that he did indeed take it out of my bank. I don't do business with people who take money from my bank account without my knowledge. Contacted incorrect vet for prescription even though correct vet contact information was provided on multiple occasion. Upon providing correct vet contact information I was told order would be approved and filled promptly. Nonetheless Chewy gave up on filling order. Chewy placed order on hold, pending receipt of mailed prescription. But Chewy never informed me they were awaiting receipt of a mailed prescription. It was not until a second call to customer service that I was informed of the hold -- one week after placing order for medication that must be provided to pet in a timely routine manner. TERRIBLE COMPANY!

Totally satisfied with my order, which arrived in 2 separate shipments. Great prices and fast shipping. A bucket of Tidy Cat litter was missing, but appeared it had possibly come out of the box in shipment and FedEx had delivered it anyway. The lady at customer service was very nice and sent out a replacement which arrived in 1 day. 100% satisfied with my ordering experience and will continue to order from them as it beats lifting the buckets of litter and bags of cat and dog food several times when purchasing at the store and bringing them home (countless dozens over the years). When the employee, Melody ** asked why I was cancelling and I explained, she offered her sympathy. Today, I received flowers from her and Chewy.com. Chewy.com is an amazing place to buy all of the animal products I need. The reason I am giving three stars is that I just got off a chat session with a legitimate complaint and asked to speak to a manager and was denied any assistance. I asked when I order 4 cat litter tubs on auto-ship that they are shipped each in their own box. When the boxes arrive they have holes and the cat litter seals are broken from bumping into each other and litter goes everywhere. The answer was no they can't do that unless I place 4 separate orders. HOGWASH! Way to listen to feedback!

I've been using Chewy for over a year, I originally went with them because the commercial said free delivery, it doesn't say with $49 purchase. So at the start of my dealing with Chewy my orders were always above the not mentioned in the commercial, but stated on the website condition. The 1-2 days delivery doesn't always happen, if it's close to a holiday, you won't see it for 4-7 days, I have stopped using Chewy because I feel they are deceptive in their commercial, and I feel they should follow through with their guarantee 1-2 days delivery.
They entice people by making the commercial give them false information on what their policy really is. I would save $2 by using Chewy for my dog's food, and would spend extra money that I didn't plan on spending if I went to the store to buy it because I didn't want to pay shipping costs, in the end I'm spending more than if I paid the $2 by going to the store, and not have to wait for when it does show up. I'm not a fan of Chewy.com, I think they shouldn't be allowed to state free 1-2 day free shipping when that's not true.

When I was using their services, I already thought they were great. They have superb customer service dept. Returns are processed without question and many times, they ask you to deliver the item you are trying to return to a shelter instead. They also have There is no other retailer that will beat the price of Chewy's. Between great quality product selection, best price, best customer service, fast delivery (2 day service), free 2 day delivery w/ spending of $49 (that's a low minimum for pet retailer), I don't think there's anything more you can ask for...
Last weekend, my dog passed away unexpectedly. I made several purchase that I didn't have a chance to open so I contacted their customer service to do a return. As always, they processed the return quickly and sent me comforting words on live chat. Then few days later, I receive a flower delivery from Chewy's to send their condolences. Who does that?!?! What company does that? NO ONE. There are friends and family that don't even consider that. What a kind, loving, thoughtful gesture. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness.
I love them already, but I cannot boast enough about the company, what they stand for, their brand, their culture, their service, and their love for pets and people. They really are a good company to do business with. Like most people who are pet owners, they spend endless amount of money on their pets, providing the best care possible for our fur babies. Chewy's delivers best products for our loved ones and show that they care. No one should ever question their business value, operation, or ethics. I think Chewy's is an example for all other retails to follow. I feel blessed to have found them years ago and once I am ready to be a new dog owner, can't wait to return to them as a customer!

My elderly cat needed special foods and supplements which I found at the lowest prices at Chewy.com and have been ordering them as needed. Last week, she passed away. I'd just received an order and asked if I could return it (unopened). Chewy.com refunded the cost and told me to donate the food to my local shelter - they were so kind and I've been telling all my pet-loving friends about them. Then, today, I received a lovely floral bouquet in memory of my beloved cat. We had put our pet's K/D prescription canned dog food - chicken with vegetables and beef with vegetables on autoship 2 cases each month. Suddenly our dog with kidney failure got worse and couldn't eat. We called and cancelled the autoship order the day that we put him to sleep. They sent us a heartfelt note with a vase of beautiful flowers to our door. It read, "They are always here through the sad times and to remember the good memories left on our heart." I've been with Chewy since they were a small operation (they opened in 2011), great customer service, deliveries on time and sent by FedEx or USPS. Since they started using LaserShip almost 2 years ago, it's been one nightmare after another. Also, their packing is done so poorly, I have to have everything in different orders so things are not destroyed "if" delivered. Now I'm not sure if it's Chewy or LaserShip who destroyed my deliveries. Customer service at Chewy has gone downhill fast. I was told it was an "award winning customer service" by a supervisor the other night, maybe in a different world. They don't know what they're telling you, some are sleeping, one guy laughed in my ear sarcastically while I was talking, one told me to go somewhere else to shop, and one told me that she couldn't tell me when LaserShip would deliver my items and she knew I had a life, but that's how it is!
If you're not home when LS comes, the shipment goes back to the warehouse. I stopped using them for a couple of months after every expensive treat, supplements and dog shampoo were all over the bottom of the box, smashed, and soaked. They apologized and sent me new items one after another and flowers. I threw the flowers away because all I want are my dog's items intact and on time. I also want to be treated with respect and empathy by customer service, who supposedly have "extensive training" in what I don't know, definitely not customer service. LaserShip is the only available service for Chewy on the East Coast, so you are basically stuck with this inept service.
It's too much stress, I don't want apologies, flowers, cards or portraits of my pooch. I want my delivery on time and not smashed and broken! I had to cancel my last order because no one knew about LaserShip and if or when they would come. I will do as someone before this review did and say goodbye after 7 years of being a valued customer and go with Amazon. Chewy has a cheap contract with the worst shipping company in the world - LaserShip and refuses to use FedEx or USPS in the east. The supervisor didn't even know how long they have been using LaserShip, stated one year and one month. No, it's been over 1 3/4 years and nothing but torture. Chewy needs to retrain their customer service reps, since they don't know how to take care of their customers.
Also I believe that many customers will leave if they don't stop using LS and improve customer service. If it's a 1 2 3 problem, they're fine, but complicated issues, like when will my delivery arrive, they make things up or sound bored. I believe this happened because the company was sold to PetSmart and a new CEO Sumit Singh (sp?) per supervisor, took over. Goodbye Chewy. The last two years have been the worst, stressful and not worth it. I'll get my dog's things at Amazon from now on. Chewy will not improve their "award winning" Customer Service and will never stop using the pathetic LS.

I order three items from Chewy.com (bag of cat food and 2 boxes of Dermoscent Essentials). One box contained only three of the four vials of ointment it was supposed to have, so I sent an e-mail to Chewy.com. A short while later, I received a reply apologizing and stating they'd send me a new box. I was notified that the new box had been shipped later that same day, and the box arrived the next day. That's what I call taking care of a customer! I should note that this was the first time there'd been a problem with an order. The email was very nice, too. Good job! I save money with them, save gas, and end up feeling good about the transaction.

I have used Chewy for 8 months and was the biggest advocate. The big problem that I could not fix was that Lasership deliveries of Chewy products are being thrown in back of condo building. Bored disinterested Chewy customer service people going through the motions telling me that’s how it is with Lasership drivers—that they all do things their own way. Never even got manager to follow up and call back so have noticed the customer service is part of the problem too. Beware of using Chewy because Lasership is the worst delivery company out there (do online research). I’m going back to Amazon. Same prices. Same products. But they will get the packages to you. Chewy has gone downhill since their acquisition by a bigger company. Thank your stars Amazon is still out there.

I have always had great experiences with Chewy. Customer service is polite, courteous and is always willing to help. If you order the wrong item, they replace it free when you donate the wrong item to a shelter. Which is amazing, I don't know of any other place that does this. My pup is an aggressive chewer and has destroyed several toys. Chewy has always given credit for the product.
As far as the lady who purchased 5lb bag of Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth, well it is the responsibility of the pet parent to properly apply chemicals to your yard. Reading the package for any warnings would of been the most responsible thing to do. Don't blame Chewy because you did not proceed with caution. Shipping issues?? Chewy does not own the shipping companies that deliver your package. All shipping companies run into issues now and then. With any company online, place your orders when you know you need the product not last minute. The reason for my review is to tell everyone how great Chewy is and that pet parents can't blame someone for their own carelessness. Yes, it's sad her pup has eye issues but the pet parent needs to be responsible for chemicals that are applied to your own property. Chewy is #1 and will recommend to everyone!!

Have been with Chewy for quite some time now. Have had several occasions that the shipping has taken too long. Have called to complain and have been told Chewy uses FedEx (Home) or FedEx (Ground). Have also been told it is based upon when I order if before 2 PM. I have placed various orders earlier than that time and earlier in the week, still too long for shipping. Wish I could find the products locally so I would not need to deal with the "shipping complaints." It also depends upon who you speak with for different answers to the shipping issues. Chewy can certainly bill your account very promptly though. If you do require a "return credit" to your account, well that can be 5-7 business days or longer? Bottom line is if you place your order make sure to do it at least a week in advance and if you need to be credited back for a return issue, make sure you are not in need of that set amount of monies in your account. I have been a loyal Chewy customer for years, as has my whole family. I exclusively order my dog’s food from Chewy, in part because it’s the best price, in part because it’s so hard to find in stores. I also buy treats, toys, and most recently a dog costume from Chewy. The only issue I’ve had was on my last order where an item was left out of the shipping package. I called and within 2 minutes a new one was being processed, no problems or hassle. The woman was extremely helpful and didn’t make it a difficult process at all. I love Chewy and will continue to use them for years!

I recently ordered special medicated food for our pet and did auto order, it arrived in a timely manner. Unfortunately our pet Frog made a turn for the worst and we had to release him from his suffering. I called customer service and let them know I had to cancel the auto order... he asked why and I explained we lost our pet and no longer are in need of the food and that we only used it for a few days and I was going to donate it to the local humane society. He then said he was issuing a full refund. I was in shock... I said, "No you don't have to." He said, "Yes I do." that, "We are sorry for your loss and since you said you were going to donate it to other pets we are going to give you a refund." That was the nicest thing ever. My heart is sad but that was a very kind gesture. I definitely will be recommending to others their service. Sincerely Mom of Frog the dog!

I've placed a couple orders with Chewy.com and have been very pleased with the pricing & the speed of delivery. My last order I placed, I ordered the wrong sized leash and when I tried to return it, I didn't see that as an option. I used the chat option on the website and the service was unbelievable. They refunded my money, placed a new order for the correct size and asked me to donate the other leash to a shelter. I thought that was pretty awesome. I will continue to use Chewy for all my pet supplies.

This review is regarding my negative experience. Overall, Chewy would get a better rating from me, but I am extremely disappointed right now regarding my recent order. I placed it at 3:30 AM on Monday. It was scheduled to arrive the next day, but was never delivered and tracking info wasn't updated. Chewy insisted FedEx just hadn't updated their system. This morning, after I again saw no tracking movement, I called FedEx and they confirmed for me, the package hasn't even been received yet by Chewy. I called Chewy to inform them, THEY dropped the ball, not FedEx. Finally, they admitted they've been having some shipping issues at the warehouse level and the package "should" be received by Friday. "Should" is not a definitive answer. Come on, Chewy. You are no longer a convenience when I can't get the items I order within the advertised 2 days.
It was wonderful of you to offer a full refund to make up for my having to go out and purchase what should have already been here, but the fact remains, my husband is sick with leukemia, I work two jobs to make up for his loss of employment while he battles this, and the items are heavy. I neither have the strength nor time to manage fetching boxes of litter for five cats from the store along with other supplies. This is part of the reason I have ordered from you a few times a month for the past year and a half - for the convenience. It would have been nice to receive a warning that you're experiencing shipping delays. Now, between myself and sick husband, we're having to scramble to get these supplies here for our critters. We will definitely remain customers, but if this happens again anytime soon, we will seriously reconsider how we shop for pet supplies.

I placed an order on Friday for $85.00. My credit card was charged. I qualified for free 1 to 2 day shipping. As of Tuesday my order had not processed nor shipped. All I got from customer service is, "We don't know what has happened," "we have had some shipping issues," "not sure when it will ship." "We can give you 15% off on your next shipment." Hate to say but it appears Chewy is going downhill fast.

I always had an issue with ordering basking bulbs from Chewy. Despite advising them numerous times by live chat and phone calls that the bulbs need to be packaged with stuffing material other than a piece of brown paper, which inevitably crushed the bulbs every time, they continue to ship this way. Fine, I thought to myself, I would buy the bulbs or other more fragile items in store at their competitors' locations. A few months ago, I made a purchase that included a bag of cat litter and some smaller items like a can of fish food. I arrived home to find at my front door a box covered with ants inside and outside of the box. Chewy shipped the bag of cat litter with the other small items, again, no divider or stuffing was used other than 1 piece of brown paper. Needless to say, that bag of litter crushed the cab of fish food, spilling everything inside the box and luring the ants in. The thermometer was crushed too.
I was furious. I contacted them immediately about this. A generic sorry was given, asked me about my pets (Seriously? My husband's fish went hungry waiting for a replacement and this was all preventable), then offered to ship the replacements. Like the previous review mentioned, I had always posted reviews on Chewy, either it be negative or positive ones, with photos, and always find them posted within 48 hours. I made a review post about this cat litter which I was not satisfied about plus the shipping experience I had. Pictures were uploaded to show the product, nothing else.
Weeks gone by and it was not posted. Suddenly, I received a message from my credit card company saying Chewy posted a reimbursement for an amount that I don't even know where it is coming from. To date, my review was still not posted. It felt like Chewy threw some money at me in exchange of refusing to post the review. I did not request for a refund in light of being dissatisfied with it because I was still planning to use it. The reason I disliked the litter was the pellets were too small for the price that you pay for and odor control is not good.
Chewy is going downhill. I used to be their fan and referred people to them. Over the years, they have changed. The shipping times grew from 2 days to 1 week, items ordered at the same time would be shipped from different warehouses with different shipping dates but you would not be advised of this, they place a charge on your credit card account then remove it later for their accounting purposes (Again, never was told of this), items selected in the shopping cart would get a price increase so you could not buy at the price that you originally wanted for, price increases for most items, the variety and inventory for exotic pets went down drastically, and the customer service is lacking and growing cold and generic. Telling them sorry, throw some money back at the customer and NOT listening to the root of the problem so changes can be implemented frustrated me to no end.
In light of the above, I am at the point where I only use them to buy hay, bedding and substrate in bulk. No other stores are carrying them in bulk sizes yet. Once they do, I plan to completely remove myself from Chewy. Their competitors caught on and have started accepting price matches. Why would I want to buy things that can break or food that can't wait from a company that is not honest with the way they do things anymore.

We purchased, from Chewy.com, a 5lb bag of Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (by DiatomaceousEarth.com, Diatomaceous Earth LLC) about a month ago. After applying around the perimeter of the house, waiting, then 24 hrs later, allowing our dog to go around that part of the yard with us, we came in with her and in no time, her eyes were completely swollen shut. We rushed her to our 24hr veterinarian to find that our vet did not seem not surprised at all by this, as it seems to happen a lot. Apparently, my dog was lucky that it was only her eyes.
A week after and my little girl was still unable to open her eyes, was on routine drops, ointment, pain meds, and antibiotics. Now nearly a month in, she is still so photosensitive, still remains on an abundance of meds and has permanent damage. I called Chewy after 6 days (wanting to see how the damaged progressed). They were so 'apologetic' and 'concerned'...said to make sure I wrote the review and put pictures. I told them that the review was all I was concerned with, so others could see her face and be warned about the possible side effects. We are now on week four of trying to get the review up.
At 1st, I was told, 'it usually takes more than 48hrs for a review to post (mind you, this was a full week after calling/posting, 2 weeks after damage). Week 3 I called again to be told 'it's because you put names/phone #'s on the review' (they were the same #'s posted on the actual products bag!! and 1 was a non-working #). Then finally, as I and my legal team suspected, I was told that it couldn't be posted 'due to liability reasons.'
So I worked for days with so many customer service reps, team leads, etc, trying to word this review just right, so Chewy could cover their rear-ends, and finally got the review 'approved with the pictures.' I had to spend hours on the phone, received a confirmation email and 2 calls stating it was 'approved and should be up soon.' So finally Nearly a month in, the review goes up, but my baby's face, the photos of the permanent damage, of her unable to open her eyes or go outdoors without a mask, were nowhere to be found on the review. I called back, and spoke to the team lead, who without hesitation, said 'oh, Chewy doesn't allow people to post pictures'...REALLY?! I informed him that HE told me the pictures were included and approved, to look at the product reviews, that there were pictures, even on that actual product, that when you write a review it asks you for up to 6 photos!
The life jackets we bought had hundreds of pictures, current and from past years. (Of course, they were cute and fun, not of a poor baby who has permanent damage with her eyes swollen shut!) To which he acted completely baffled. And said he was sending the manager in charge of posting this a message so we could get this resolved. Honestly, the only reason I did not file suit against them is because they seemed sooo concerned (in the beginning), even sent flowers. Of course, kindness goes a long way, but so does sincerity! Now I'm told that the manager who took care of it isn't in for 2 more days.
Meanwhile, people may continue to purchase this item, an item no longer sold by pet stores other than Chewy, my little one's face is not seen, and I have to go through this mess all over again! It will be a month that we've been doing this! I would think posting a review is a heck of a lot better than being asked to pay all of her current and future vet bills/restitution. Really, it's a no-brainer (posting a review vs filing suit...). So, at least here I can post 1 photo so you all can see what happened to our girl (my seizure alert service dog!). Take, note, I no longer see Chewy as a caring, compassionate company (as stated below). Their concerns, in my opinion, are more about sales and no concern of your dogs actually safety!

I will start by saying that Chewy customer service is excellent. When we lived in a single family home, every order arrived as placed, and the service was perfect. We have recently lived in 2 different apartment complexes, while relocating and embarking upon a custom built home. Every order in each apartment has had an issue. Chewy customer service dealt with each problem promptly, and they have been super. Since this has happened at two different addresses, with different security and delivery features, I can reasonably conclude that all of our problems could be attributed to shipping (FedEx) - but the fact remains that not a month has gone by without a delivery issue. I will return to Chewy when I am back in a house, but have temporarily paused autoship while I live in an apartment.

When my Autoship was fulfilled, one of the items had to ship from a different warehouse. Without telling me first, it caused a hold to be put on my account for an extra $68. I'm told it will be removed when the order is complete. However, due my tight budget, this extra charge caused issues at my bank. Chewy did offer to fix it, but only if I got on the phone with them and my bank. I am work and can't do a personal conference call. They shouldn't be allowed to double charge for any period of time, and I will not do business with them again.

Anytime something doesn’t work the proper way they send replacement and let me keep the old one or donate it someone who needs it more than I do. I love them so much. I am 33 years old and can honestly say I have never received a more personable and perfect service in my life. Not only do they correct and refund the rare issues, they go out of their way to create a solution for your temporary problem by researching local solutions and refunding your difference and compensating your time. This company has amazing customer service. Far superior to any other company I have ever dealt with. They are prompt at correcting problems with shipped products. The prices are very competitive. Shipping is quick. But what I want to say today is about what happens when your pet dies. Chewy is supportive and caring. You are part of their family. When my dog passed away I asked about returning unopened items I had left. They gave me prompt credit on every inventoried item and then said, "Don't return - just donate the items."
They asked me to send pictures and I sent one of my cat and the dog who passed. They later sent me beautiful flowers as condolence. Then today I opened my mail and they have sent me another handwritten card and enclosed two original paintings on canvas ready to display. One picture of each of my pets. I cried and was so touched by their sympathy and connection to me and my pet family. Amazing group of people.

I have been using Chewy for about a year now. I have my dog food shipped to me and have cat food shipped to my daughter. She recently moved and gave me the wrong spelling for her new address. Her shipment was said to be delivered. But she didn’t receive it. We called Chewy and they got the correct address and reshipped it. Her one cat is on prescription food. An expensive order. They are so awesome! I don’t know who got the order, I hope it they have good karma and gave it to someone who needs it. But the people at Chewy worked with us and her shipment is on the way. I tell everyone I know to use them. They are so great to work with! Never a problem and always great service. I love Chewy.

LITERALLY THE BEST COMPANY I’VE EVER DEALT WITH!!! I never write reviews but I am blown away with this company. A friend turned me onto Chewy.com a few years ago & it's been nothing but a pleasure since. A few months ago 2 containers of cat treats were crushed in a delivery - I barely got out my complaint before I was told they would send out new ones. Today an auto-ship order was sent but it was bad timing - didn't have the money. So I called & they said they will cancel the order & call FedEx to cancel it on that end. Most companies would say 'too late'. They are always helpful and friendly. They are a perfect example of what a company should be like & a perfect example of exemplary customer service. I'll never buy my pets food, etc. anywhere else!!

When my dog passed away, I still had a case of his prescription dog food that was unopened. It is not inexpensive, about $80 of dog food that I purchased online from Chewy.com. I got online to find out if it would be possible to return the product, but I did not expect them to accept it because it is a prescription dog food. The online agent Jahnay ** asked me why I was returning the product. When I explained that my pet had passed away, he immediately responded with condolences.
He did not ask another question, just sent me a message that they would be refunding the entire cost of the case of food and told me that I could donate the food to a pet charity in my dog's name. I cried! How generous and considerate they were, to make this difficult exchange easy for me. I highly recommend Chewy.com. Their prices are the best available, their shipments are on time and they even email me a few days in advance of each auto shipment to make sure the delivery date is going to be convenient for me. It seems that they truly do care about pet parents.

I recently adopted a new pet so I needed a variety of items. I put in an order for over $49 to get free shipping. However, when I got home from work, I realized I needed an additional item. I placed the order and figured I would spend the money on shipping. A short time later, I discovered another item I needed. I decided to wait on purchasing it or look into getting it somewhere else. I decided to call Chewy.com to see if the orders could be combined. The man on the other end was extremely helpful and efficient. He not only combined the orders and saved me money on shipping; he also, added the other item I had not ordered yet.
The process was so simple and easy. It was refreshing. The call took less than 5 minutes for everything. I was able to call at 1:30 am since they are available for calls 24/7 (I work evenings so this is an amazing service to offer). I was so surprised by the wonderful customer service and ease of the process. There are not many companies these days that have good customer service or simple processes. I will definitely recommend Chewy.com to friends and family.

The product is good, but one thing bugged me. When I buy online, my biggest thing is not having human interaction. I received a phone call asking me to confirm my information. Ok, great and all, but I already did that during the ordering process. Every other site I order from does not call. Please, don't call. I use autoship & I had gotten canned dog food one month & dry the next. Neither had been opened. Shortly after the second order arrived my dog drowned in our pool. I called to see if I could return the food for a refund & they refunded me while I held on the phone, asked me all about my dog & expressed their sympathy more than once. They then told me I could donate the food to a shelter or rescue in my dog's name or just keep it and feed to my other dogs. How great is that? I will continue using Chewy as long as I have animals.

We have been ordering from Chewy every month for the past year with no problems. Their prices are fair for what we order, they ship quickly, and so far everything that we have received in the mail is packed securely. They also send out Christmas cards which is cute. Anyway our July delivery went out as scheduled in two separate boxes but one (the most expensive part of our order) never made it to our doorstep even though tracking showed that it had been delivered.
After waiting a week to see if it would turn up (it didn't) I called their customer service. After spending less than TWO minutes on the phone I have a replacement order of the way, no charge. Today is Monday (late afternoon) and I was told that it will be here Thursday! You honestly can't beat customer service like that, it took me longer to write this review that it did for them to fix the shipping problem. I'm going to continue ordering from Chewy and recommend them to others.

I wanted to order a case of prescription dog food. In my order process, Chewy asked for Veterinarian information, which I provided, including name of clinic and doctor. At check out (of course I was charged immediately) Chewy said that the order was pending approval from my dr. Fine. I contact my vet with order number, they call Chewy, I figure, "fine." I get a nastygram a day later from Chewy: "This order still hasn't been approved. If not approved in 3 days, it will be canceled." Wow. I called my vet and they said, "Yeah, we approved it already."
I called Chewy, and they seemed to have no record of any of it. I asked vet to re-approve. A day later, another nasty gram. This time a two day warning for cancellation of the order was issued. I repeated all steps, vet again insists that they've already approved. I call Chewy.com and they're like, "What? There's no record of that? I guess we'll send out your order." WHAAAAAAA? I won't be using Chewy again. They're wasting my time... and now I'm wasting my own time in reviewing a company that clearly isn't in this to make it easy on the customer. Isn't that what the internet is supposed to do? Make this easier? Sheesh.

Chewy.com States in their header that it is a "TWO DAY" delivery OVER $49.00. What they don't tell you is that if you order on a Friday then that doesn't apply because FEDEX doesn't delivery on Sunday or Monday. I bought over the $49.00 just for this reason of two day delivery... I still don't have my order, because clearly I didn't know about the FEDEX not delivering.

I had ordered a bag of dog food. The shipment was on time. Unfortunately, my Labrador had to be put down the same day. I called Chewy about a week later to discuss returning the food because I had not opened the package. I spoke with Mariah. She was so kind and compassionate. She processed the credit and told me to donate the food to a shelter in my dog's name. It's so hard to lose a beloved animal. Chewy obviously is aware and they try to make it a little bit easier.

First of all delivery was never on time so there was pretty much no point. My last purchase was in a box infested with roaches! I opened it and they were everywhere! I have wanted to write a review for a while now as I have used Chewy for a few years. But tonight I finally just had to break down and write my review. I spoke w/ Aisha and advised her the XL therapeutic bed we purchased for one of our dogs ($50) and the pharmacist recommended toothpaste ($18) didn't work as my dog didn't like either. The bed I truly just requested for an exchange as I was planning to buy another bed and for at least the third time I know when I have dealt with chewy.com, instead of returning the items they asked me to donate the unwanted items to any local shelter and they would refund my purchases. The lady was amazing, she was very knowledgeable and courteous. I told her I have been so pleased with any correspondence I have had with their company, I will continue to give them my business!

I ordered 3 items for my mini dachshund, $67ish. I was charged 4X the same amount... An additional $202ish. I discovered it at 11 pm tonight and thought if I'd call Chewy it would be resolved right away. NOT!!! The Rep told me it would take up to 48 hrs for the "HOLD" to be reversed. WTF! Why is there a hold anyway if all I purchased was $67 worth of items. This has NEVER happened before within the 2yrs of my purchases. The Rep told me I needed to contact my credit card company, do a conference call with them so they could reverse the charges! I really think they are playing all of us for fools! I WILL BE CONTACTING CHANNEL 7 ON YOUR SIDE SINCE THEY WANT TO PLAY GAMES!

Chewy is the absolute best place to buy pet food and supplies. Shipping is extremely fast and the customer service is like none I have ever experienced. Prices are always cheaper than local pet stores even with shipping, which is free if your order is over $40.00 - I always wait until I need enough to meet that requirement - There is also a discount if you decide to auto ship on a regular basis! They took the $125 out for my autoship order out of my bank account. Then because they had to split my order took another $88 plus another $37 other for the split shipments. Altogether they took out over $200 out of my account. The representative said that there would be a hold on all the money for 48 hours until everything was shipped. This is not right. They should not be able to take out more than what the customer authorizes. This is stealing. This is unauthorized withdrawal of someone's money. BAD BUSINESS.

Chewy went above and beyond for our pet. Customer service is second to none. This is a great company! Amazing customer service. I ordered a dog food brand that my Rottie just did not like. They refunded my purchase and asked me to donate food to our local SPCA, which I did. Our autoship dog food arrives on the exact date it is to be delivered... every single time! They have an excellent selection of food and treats for your pets. When our beloved Rottie, Chloe, went to "Rainbow Bridge", Chewy even sent a beautiful flower arrangement. That was totally unexpected, and meant a great deal to our family. In today's world of lacking customer service, this company shines! OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE and really great people to work with! I am a customer for life! Chewy is a great choice for all things pets! I would give Chewy a 10 star rating! I found Chewy.com about a month ago after getting a new puppy and have basically put in an order every week since. Their prices are better than the pet store and you get free shipping on orders over $49. On my first order there was a problem with my billing address, I called customer service and in about two minutes he said it was fixed and told me when it should arrive, it came a day early. My most recent order was placed on Thursday, by Saturday I saw there was a problem with the shipping. I called Chewy and not even five minutes later she said she resent it and it should arrive Tuesday. Today is Monday and both boxes showed up. I called again to ask what to do with the extra stuff and was told to keep what I want and donate the rest to a shelter.
Their customer's service team is absolutely amazing! Every time I call I get a real person who is polite, helpful and doesn't just sound like a robot reading a script. They've solved any problem I've had quickly and I love that they ask you to donate unneeded items to a shelter instead of hassling with returns. I'm so happy this website exists! I may never have to go to the pet store again.

I order food from Chewy and not even 12 hrs later it was at my front door. I didn't have to go to the local store and pay 10$ dollars more than I needed to. You guys rock. All I need now is to find a toy my Dane/lab mix and pit won't destroy.

They put so much stuff in the boxes that they ship that an elderly person or someone who does not have much strength cannot pick up the packages. They can fill them with up to 65 pounds. Since I order multiple boxes of 32 cans cat food and big bags of cat food it can be heavy and they always put it in one box. I have hurt myself trying to bring the boxes in. They are so heavy. I have tried to discuss this with customer service on three occasions now. I have asked them to ship them in multiple packages so that they aren’t so heavy and still I continue to get boxes crammed full of the entire order that I cannot pick up. Shame. Looks like I will have to go back to Amazon.

I have been a happy and enthusiastic Chewy.com Client for 4 years. Their prices are excellent and their service is very prompt. Today, for the first time, I realized I had a problem with an order. I often say you can tell the most about a company when things go wrong. I called them on the phone, and talked to Elizabeth who answered on the FIRST RING. She apologized, instantly shipped me the missing items and told me if I was in an emergency situation to replace the product locally and give her a call back to let her know. I received instant shipping confirmation on the replaced products. I was treated respectfully and as a valued customer and truly felt like she cared. I order from Chewy partly because of their great prices (my cats' food is cheaper here than on Amazon, probably better quality!), and mostly because of their impressive customer service. I recently ordered the wrong size bulb for my tortoise tank, so I gave Chewy a call. Even though the issue was my mistake, Angelica helped me correct it, and got a corrected bulb shipped out to me immediately. I can't say enough great things about this site!

I just received my very first Pet Products order from Chewy.com and looking back, I was very impressed with the experience. I initially called to inquire about when my order would arrive and was told it would be two days. When I got my e-mail receipt it showed arrival time as four days, due to a late pick-up by the shipper. Thinking I would simply have to wait, the customer service rep, who picked up on the first ring, reviewed my account, apologized and said, "it's not your fault," and explained my order will be free and refunded the amount paid. The order arrived in good condition. I definitely will order from them again.

Sorry to say I had to stop doing business with Chewy. Their delivery through LaserShip in the Worcester County area of Massachusetts are unreliable and liars. Tried to resolve but no luck after three months of autoship. Suppose to deliver to front door as I have arthritis and my husband is a paraplegic. Shipment left across the street on side of road near mailbox once and bottom of driveway twice. All three times they have indicated on their tracking page that delivery was left at front door.

4/5 deliveries were complicated. First shipment arrived the next day. Second shipment arrived 4 days after original delivery estimate. Third shipment arrived on time but damaged. Fourth shipment was 6 days late. Fifth shipment, so far, is on 4th day and not delivered yet. I canceled the autoship.

I have had three separate incidents where I have had to contact customer service. Once was an accidental double order, once I received the wrong order, and last was I ordered a pet carrier which had a tear in it. That had nothing to do with Chewy, I put my dog in and a pocket had came apart from the seam. ALL three times an actual person answered the phone within a few rings and each time it was resolved in under 5 minutes. I also like how they ask about your pets and seem to actually care. I really can't say good enough things about them so far. I have ordered my pet supplies online for years and had worse problems than these with horrid customer service which is how I ended up here and I am in heaven. Also items are processed immediately. I used to have to order a week ahead and with Chewy it now takes two days! Very fast processing and shipping.

I've given this review two stars solely because of the condition of today's delivery. I've been using Chewy.com going on a year now, and although the prices are certainly more reasonable than local stores, as well as delivery being more convenient, on no less than 3 occasions my delivery has arrived damaged. The bag of litter has been torn with litter spilled into the box and into the cases of cat food. This time the carton that a case of food came in was also damaged. I guess that's the trade-off for free shipping!

This was my first and only time using Chewy. I ordered a few items and they never were delivered. They didn’t have the apartment number even though we fixed that issue before the items were shipped out. I had to go rounds with Chewy about getting the items. I finally got some of the items but not all of them. I called to ask where they were to which they told me they were sending new ones because the old ones were damaged. Were they going to let me know this? There was no communication.
So after having to wait and call Chewy a few times, I still never received the cat litter bags that I ordered which were two boxes. To be quite honest I am going to just eat that $ because I cannot have another conversation with this company. This was a very frustrating and painful process. They didn’t send the goods, then they sent them and they were damaged, and then some of the goods didn’t show up at all. It’s been a month. I would rather buy my products at the store or try a different pet store online than use this company again. It really is a shame because the idea of it coming to your door is great. Just not realistic for this company.

Ugh. I used to like Chewy's but no more. Placed an order with them last week and they charged my account twice. I have spent hours with them on the phone and my bank and still not straightened out. I'm not sure what kind of game they are playing...maybe they want the float... This is ridiculous!

Chewy, GREAT! FedEx SUCKS! They have on two occasions failed delivery despite package being 'out for delivery' - if they finish their shift before they get to you, they state "business closed" "undeliverable" which shifts blame to the customer, when it's all FedEx. They can say whatever they want while you sit at home waiting for an 'out for delivery' package that does not arrive until the following day IF you are lucky.

I ordered my cat's food which is prescription. There ended up being a whole mess with the vet office getting it approved. I received a call from a rep at Chewy who explained what was going on as she had just spoke with the vet. I ended up canceling my order because they didn't have the size bag I needed in the flavor on the prescription. My vet then called me and said that they will approve the flavor change and proceeded to contact Chewy for me. Once they finished speaking, another rep from Chewy called me to let me know of the updates and that they received the approval. It was so nice having them contact me to see what was happening and get everything worked out. Most companies will not just contact you like they did. It was very much appreciated! This is my first experience with Chewy.com and I am very pleased with the service!

This is by far the best customer service ever! They emailed me that one of the treats I ordered was recalled by the manufacturer. Way to be proactive and make sure I am not giving my dog something that could make him ill. Then when I chat in to ask what I should do with the bad treats, they credit me back the cost, no hassle at all, and no return process, just go ahead and dispose of them. I have never had such an easy time dealing with a company via phone or chat, their reps are awesome. Besides all of that, I pay less for high quality grain free dog food and treats that is delivered right to my door. More convenience, better service and a lower price? Amazing!

Chewy.com surpasses all businesses I’ve dealt with. Hands down. Whenever I’ve contacted them, by phone it’s always been easy and the folks manning the phones are always courteous, personable and knowledgeable. Their prices are great, nearly always beats the competition and I love that they offer options from giant pet supply retailers that pretty much dominate the market and are expensive, making responsible pet ownership difficult and not doable for many. Furthermore, delivery has consistently been very rapid. I’m talking next day rapid!
So Chewy already made a fan out of me by the points noted above, but recently, they have outdone themselves when they gave me an UNSOLICITED refund on a dog treat I was trying out on my finicky dog. Apparently, they read my review that my dog did not like the treat and wouldn’t eat it at all. I mean, I saw the deposit in my bank account before I even noticed the email notifying me of the refund. What company does that?! I highly recommend pet owners to check out their website.

I interact with dozens of businesses, but none come close to the excellent Customer Service as Chewy's! I tried to change an order that was due to ship yesterday. They went into the warehouse to try to pull the item I no longer needed. It had already shipped, but first thing this morning I had a pre-paid return label in my email. The package arrived this morning too, less than 24 hours after placing! I have added items to my auto ship, changed the scheduled delivery dates, and even had a single item ship under the minimum. Every time customer service took care of it, including waiving the shipping one time for the single item. Service is unbeatable and prices are great too. Can't say enough great things about this company. I'd give them 10 Stars if I could!

My dogs have special dietary needs and the dog food I have been buying locally was no longer available. After looking online I found Chewy.com carried the brand and advertises 1-2 day delivery, so I ordered a bag. It arrived on time and I thought I had found a solution. I recently reordered - order went in on June 1st. Today is June 6th and I ran out of food yesterday because I expected the delivery to arrive in 1-2 days as advertised. When I contacted the company I was informed the delay was my fault because I ordered after 3pm on a Friday. There is no mention of any exceptions or restrictions on their website so I asked how I was supposed to know this and the customer representative disconnected our communication. I have found another company to get this dog food from... I will no longer be doing business with Chewy.com and will be warning my friends and family that this company’s “fast/free delivery” has strings attached.

They discontinued Grain-Free Salmon & Potato Recipe Canned Dog Food for unknown reasons, then I found the past two orders of the dry Grain-Free Salmon & Potato Recipe Dog Food the price is the same as Petco and PetSmart. The only thing is free shipping over $49 which used to be $35. Well Chewy you lost a customer!!!

I recently ordered a prescription dog food for my dog that has allergies. I ordered on Friday and got a FedEx tracking response saying a label had been created and to expect delivery on Saturday. Great, but it didn’t come. I emailed customer service and they said it was a FedEx problem but the package would be delivered on Wednesday by 8 pm -No package and FedEx still shows a label created only and a ? as to when delivery would be. I called customer service and they said my package was in limbo. I explained I could not just go to Petsmart as it was a prescription and now my dog was out of food.
I asked to speak with a customer service supervisor as the person I was speaking with was completely lost. When I finally got a supervisor they told me that the food the Vet prescribed may not be right for my dog. I don’t need a phone-a-Vet, I just really wanted what I ordered. Chewy fulfillment is in Ocala and I am in Tampa. I can walk up and get it and be faster. I still have No resolution and have been lied to 3 times. Chewy did ask me to send a sweet picture of my dog to them. I have a sweet picture to send them alright... Worst experience ever!!!!

In fact, my mouth fell open when he said, "Please donate the item to a Dog Rescue."... I was thrilled and that much more impressed. It's very obvious that Chewy cares. You have to be careful with Chewy. Their prices are constantly fluctuating, and I've never been able to figure out their claims of the retail price. (As in, "normally $18.99!") Normally $18.99? Where? The next week, the same item will say "Normally $14.99!" Many times it makes it appear that you're getting a deal, but the prices are more than your local store. I've never received an order in less than five days, so the claims of 1-2 day shipping are not true here. That being said, the convenience of getting items delivered at home is nice, as long as you skip the autoship feature, and are very aware of prices around you.

Chewy's customer service is second to none. They are unfailingly accurate and the shipments are at my door in warp speed. And so I decided to try their own brand of dog kibble for my 8 year old Collie who has been on Petcurean Now Turkey, Salmon and Duck for several years. I top this off with a few scoops of Natural Balance Lamb and Rice canned. I think it's good to vary your dog's diet. Of course, I was very careful about transitioning from the Petcurean to the American Journey Large Breed Salmon and Sweet Potato Dry Food and did this over several weeks.
My initial disappointment related to the size of the kibble which is labelled as "large breed." It was regular size, if not small. Petcurean's large breed is an enlarged kibble allowing your dog more surface contacts to chew. Her stools, which had been quite firm, became mushy and sometimes loose. I thought this might be connected with different treats I was giving her and cut out the treats. That did not make a difference. Then I transitioned back to the Petcurean and everything was normal again. The ingredients are top notch. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with the food quality. It just didn't work for my dog. Staying with the Petcurean which is an excellent brand.

I am crying as I write this review. My 13 year old Chihuahua passed over on Monday. I called Chewy to tell them because I’ve been purchasing all of my dog food from them for years. I had previously ordered food for Jake but days later he passed away. They credited my account for the Farmina food I would not be using. I also have 2 Chinese Cresteds but they eat Honest Kitchen. It’s 4 days later and I just received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Chewy! I cannot believe that even after becoming such a hugely successful company, they retained their heart and soul. I am so grateful to them for showing such empathy for the loss of my Jake. Thank you, Aaron: the young man I spoke to on Monday. Thank you, Chewy, for retaining your humanity. Exceptional customer service since day 1! I will always be a faithful and satisfied Chewy customer.

Upon several occasions, Chewy has failed to get our merchandise delivered to our front doorstep. They use Fed. Exp. and I suspect they get lazy and decide to leave the merchandise by the front gate in front of the mailboxes. We are seniors, and we order our cat litter because it's too hard to get it up the stairs from our parking garage. Leaving it by our front gate creates even more of a problem, than dragging it up from the car. This has been an issue upon several occasions, so we will not be ordering from them in the future. Does anyone else have this issue who lives in an apartment or condo complex? Maybe they need a different delivery method like UPS, Amazon or USPS.

I ordered two packages of canned dog food on May 18 and when I still hadn’t received them by end of day on May 23rd I checked my tracking number. It was still only telling me that the shipping label had been created. I contacted Chewy in Facebook to inquire about it and they were great. They are contacting FedEx to find out where my package is and have already had it reshipped. On top of that they refunded me $26.76 to make up for having to go buy some food at the store now. I have been using Chewy.com for several months now and I have been so impressed with this company I felt I had to give them the praise they have earned. I am a stickler for customer service. I remember the days when businesses actually cared about keeping their customers happy & a person answered when you called with a question/concern. I find it frustrating to call a business & have to listen to 5+ options and then be told to go to their website if I’m experiencing problems with my service. That is why I appreciate Chewy.com. I’ve had occasion to call them 3 times & each time a person has answered, intelligibly stated their name and asked how they could assist me. When an item on my Auto Ship order had become unavailable I received a phone call from Chewy.com apologizing for inconvenience & asking what I’d like to order instead, if anything.
They were very patient & helpful while I perused my options and made an alternate choice. Most recently my order arrived and 1 of the items had been damaged during shipping & had gotten all over the other items. I called on a Saturday and spoke with “Janice” who apologized to me and my pets and sent out a new order which just arrived and prompted this review. The original items, other than the 1 that had leaked out into box, were in no way damaged or unusable as all were sealed in either cans, airtight bags and/or plastic containers. Today an entire duplicate order arrived in perfect condition! I will be donating the items from the first order to our local shelter. After reading some of the posted reviews, most favorable, I felt compelled to mention that in this day and age with so many websites and businesses available to the consumer, I feel that customer service should be rewarded with loyalty.
Chewy.com has earned a customer for life in me if they keep up their excellent customer service and excellent delivery service. I live in a very remote area where USPS does not deliver to individual homes and my only option is FedEx or UPS. Regrettably I will not be renewing my Amazon Prime when it expires since as they have started using the USPS I have to have Amazon orders sent to a relatives home 30 miles away. Not exactly convenient. In conclusion, my opinion is that Chewy.com is a company that stands out for its comprehensive website, its amazing selection and its outstanding commitment to providing unequaled and unique customer service.

Chewy did not stock the pate my cat usually eats, so I ordered the chunk style. She refused to eat it. Chewy gave me a full refund and just asked that I donate the rest of the order (3 cases!) to a local shelter.

Chewy.com is the best company I have ever dealt with. Not only do they have an amazing online selection but their customer service is impeccable. Their orders ship incredibly fast and my last order I received a dog cot that I ordered in chocolate and they sent me a grey one. I emailed them back to ask if the one I ordered was out of stock. Without conversation they immediately sent me a new one in the right color and didn’t even ask for the one I received in return! They asked me to donate it to a shelter or pet in need! What a fantastic company! That alone shows they truly care about our animals. They also have sent me handwritten messages since I’ve signed up. I could not be more pleased with any one person or people. It is astonishing the effort they put into caring for our pets.

Have been ordering from Chewy.com and stopped once because their prices were getting higher than the local pet store. Came back when we changed food brand and now their prices are higher again than other internet retailers. Also, our last auto ship was canceled when they were out of the food we ordered. Since we haven't received food for 6 weeks now I called and was told I canceled the last auto ship and when speaking to a supervisor she changed to "We automatically cancel orders when we're out of stock". Very uncomfortable to deal with individuals who lie for no reason. We canceled our auto ship orders from Chewy.com as will be doing our other two family members who we recommended to buy from Chewy.com. Do a search online for the products you're purchasing from Chewy.com and you might save yourself some money.

Chewy is an awesome business. One of my dogs is eating prescription food. Their shipment arrived more than timely. My dog was not satisfied after a few cans of eating the brand. Chewy issued a return label, took back all of the remaining and issued a full refund. This is a first. The emergency vet gave me samples of another food which was easy to find on Chewy and so I ordered that. Their prices are unmatched, customer service is unmatched and my complete satisfaction is, for sure unmatched. Love Chewy. I will check Chewy before I shop at stores or Veterinarians for anything that my dogs need.

I Purchased $148 worth of products from Chewy.com. They do some creative accounting with your money. They put a hold on my account for $148, and then charged when they shipped the product. They tied up my money twice for the same order and They still have not released my money.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Chewy for amazing customer service! This is just a bonus as the company already has won me over with their excellent prices and super fast shipping! I order one day and receive it within 48 hours! And the prices are awesome! I was paying so much more for their treats in stores! I heard about this company through a friend who told me a story about the amazing customer service reps who sent flowers to a family after their dog passed and they called to cancel the autoship. It’s just such a great way to honor your furry customers! Then today I received a coupon for $15 off my first order and when I called them to see if I could still use it even though it wasn’t my first order, they said absolutely and honored the coupon and placed my order for me! I will always be a customer and will tell every furparent about Chewy!
