    I have been ordering dog food from Chewy for months at a great price even cheaper than Walmart. I received a shipment from them right after my sweet golden retriever had died and called them about what I could do with my unopened bags and they first were so sorry for my loss then refunded all my money for that order and asked I give the bags to a shelter. A few days later I received a beautiful box of a dozen roses with a vase. So sweet of them. They also sent birthday cards to my dogs. Prices are great and so is the customer service! A very caring company and so nice I don’t have to lug big bags of dog food around the store anymore. Thank you chewy for everything!!!!

    The customer service department at Chewy is pretty amazing. With this being said, shipping is terrible. The company states 1 to 2 day shipping and but lately it's being like 3 days to a week for shipping. Every order I've gotten in 2019 has be damaged or not delivered. They seriously need to get it together.

    As soon as I called the number, I got to talk to an actual person, not a recording. She was friendly, competent, positive and very helpful. I needed to return a pet bowl because I bought the wrong size. She immediately refunded my money (will show in account in 3-5 days) and I didn't even have to send it back, she said just take it to my local pet shelter. :-D

    Good Morning! 6 months ago I received my auto shipped pet food. Before I could open the new bag, my vet changed my sweet old guy’s food so hopefully he could feel better. I called Chewy and asked about returning the food for a refund. I was told the $ would be refunded and to just donate the food. WOW!!!! I donated it to the Denver Dumb Friends League???

    Last week my auto ship was due to be sent. My dog food needs had changed since my wise old gentleman passed in April???? My new order came yesterday, and today flowers arrived....Ashlie at Chewy had sent them with deepest sympathy for the loss of my sweet Barton. How kind and thoughtful!!! (My employer didn’t send a card or flowers or anything when my Dad passed in December. I’ve worked there 18 years.)

    Chewy.com in my opinion has exceptional customer service! I never have any issues with my orders, and great prices too! I feel my two recent interactions showed incredible kindness and generosity! I can’t say enough!!! I have not been paid for this review, nor do I know anyone at Chewy personally. I almost NEVER write reviews, but how could I not with the experiences I just described?

    I’ve been using the auto ship program through Chewy.com for a couple of years now. I buy feline prescription food, regular food & pet products. Their prices are excellent, shipping is phenomenally fast, but more importantly is their customer service. Recently my cat died. I had an overabundance of his special diet food. I called customer service & spoke to Tiffany. She was so sweet & compassionate. She refunded me every penny for not only the unopened cartons of food but the opened ones too. I didn’t even have to return any of it. We agreed I should donate it.

    A few days later I received a package in the mail. It was a dozen long stem roses! I had no idea who they could be from. Alas, there was a sympathy card expressing the heartfelt loss for my cat from Tiffany at Chewy.com. I was so touched! I had to find a place to express my thanks for such a thoughtful gesture, so here it is. I hope you will read it and know that I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness. Thank you so much Tiffany. You are the best and so is Chewy.com. I will continue to buy my regular cat food from Chewy.com. You are awesome!

    Ordered over $1100.00 worth of merchandise, a lot. Got told Dollar amount was $1110.64 and charged my credit card that amount right then. Went to bed, got up and had fraud department on my credit card texting and emailing and 2 missed calls. Called them immediately, said Chewy.com had charged 4 more charges between 2:24 am and 7:00 am, totaling more than $825.00. And I told them I had not authorized that. So credit card cancelled my account and said new ones would be here tomorrow, which means I have to call everyone that charges my utilities, my gym membership, at least 11 people to call. Called Chewy.com, and complained, told me to wait for a manager, all she said was that the way they do business, and those charges would come off in 5 days.

    Told her that's not right, I already paid $1110.64 in full, and she said that's the way they do business, when they have stuff shipped from other companies, they charge your credit card for every call they make to have stuff shipped, and charges will be credited after 5 days. She would not put me in touch with the owner, a VP or anyone, said she couldn't. I told her that's basically fraud, as have already paid for all I bought. Said I would get no reimbursement for all the trouble I have went through, and when I get my new credit card, to have credit card company call her, and she would credit the extra charges back to my account. I would defiantly not recommend buying anything from this site, and you will experience a huge nightmare. When you pay someone in full for what you bought, and then without your permission, charge multiple more charges to your account without permission, this to me is just downright fraud. BEWARE.

    The last I have been sent 6-7 orders will expiration dates expiring in 2 weeks. They are refusing to help me. Supervisors are just blowing smoke. I have sent pictures and still continue to get expired food!!!! I ask for a higher supervisor. I am told there are none in the building!!! All I want is the food I ordered. This company is horrible. My dogs run out of food in 3 days and they DO NOT CARE!!!

    This is a listing of the problems I have encountered with Chewy.com within the past month:

    1) Being told I had a prescription from September 2016 for a pet food from a specific vet. Unfortunately, this vet did not begin work at the clinic on file for another 2 years. Was told an employee, while multi tasking, confused scripts from different clients.
    2) On my vet profile, having my dog's name as my vet's name, having vets' names who I do not recognize as ever treating my pets, and flip flopping first and last names for my vet.

    3) Within a 6 hour time period, being told that a **, a chemotherapy drug was:

    A) Temporarily Out of stock.
    B) Was delivered but would take 1-2 business days to enter the system.
    C) Availability unknown as it depends on when manufacturer ships.

    D) Inventory shows 99 Million Tablets available. (Yes, 99 MILLION.)

    Something is wrong where Chewy customer service/Vet Diet Foods. Pharmacy seem not to be coordinating with each other. Also, on both the normal and supervisory level, employees seem to be unwilling or unable to use common sense that an inventory of 99 Million tablets for an expensive chemotherapy drug should be a red flag. Have tried to contact corporate to no avail.

    About 2 weeks ago, I had to let go of my Walker, due to health problems. That was the hardest decision I ever made. A few days later I contacted Chewy and told them I needed to cancel his monthly prescription dog food. They sent me the sweet email back. We shared pictures of Walker and grieved together, granted this all happen on Mother's Day weekend. A few days later, I received a box with roses and the sweetest card. Chewy supported me more than my own family and friends did. I am even keeping some of the roses to go into Walker's shadow box. So I personally want to thank each employee at Chewy. You made me feel like family and loved. I will always be grateful.

    I wanted to share my first time experience with Chewy's Customer Service. We had a problem on our end with our new dog. He was a rescue and had more problems than I need to go into at this point. I had purchased a kennel through Chewy's in advance. Chewy worked with me in a pleasant and professional way and suggested I donate the kennel to my local humane society. They did refund my purchase price and the local shelter received a new dog kennel. That is what I call "LIVING YOUR BRAND". Thank you.

    At first was really excited. Thought hey this is convenient and they state we receive our order 1-2 days after our purchase. Yeah right they separated my order and I'm going on day 5 still other half has not arrived. Chewy.com you shouldn't lie to your customers. You really need to rephrase your 1-2 days to 7-10 and at least give updates or something. Will never order from Chewy.com again. A company that doesn't keep their word is misleading and not trustworthy.

    Takes about 7-10 days for delivery and NOT 2-4 days as they state. Products near always are delivered broken or missing items ordered. VERY POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS. Please note...Walmart is ALWAYS cheaper than Chewy products.

    I didn't choose to do business with Chewy. They bought the company I used before (Petfood Direct). Since then, product selection is less, prices are higher, and they're constantly out of stock on my autoship items. The whole point of an autoship program is so I don't have to remember to buy dog food, but that's completely defeated when I only receive half (or less) of my order. I'm very particular about what I feed my dogs, and I don't like having to substitute items of lesser quality. It may cost a little more for the same products, but I'm taking my business to Petco hoping I'll have a better experience.

    Order dog food on a regular basis and I always seem to have a delivery issue meaning when it is suppose to arrive. It gets changed in the tracking order to the next day. Chewy denies the complaint by saying they don't ship on weekends when the tracking shows it is being shipped. I will no longer use chewy based on their customer satisfaction. I've I'll order through our local pet supplier for now on. Weather takes a toll on the food due extreme truck heat since the FedEx driver doesn't make the promised delivery.

    I have been a Chewy.com customer for over 3 yrs now. It used to be so convenient and offer the best prices. Ever since PetSmart bought them out it is been going downhill. Prices are the same or higher than other stores. Very inconsistent with the deliveries and the customer service is not the same. I have been having issues with my deliveries at least once a month, when you call to complaint they seem to not care anymore. I am cancelling my auto shipment this week and going with Amazon. I don't love them but at least they are more reliable.

    Check your account! Autoship prices jumped from $65 to $78 in a matter of a few months, without notice! When I called to ask why, I was told their prices "fluctuate daily based on supply and demand." Um, what? This isn't a commodity, Chewy. You're better off just buying from your vet or a retailer in your neighborhood. Sneaky business practices!

    Yesterday May 14 I placed an online order, second one in two weeks. I paid for it and was sent a email. I checked email and find that my address, which was correct two weeks ago is wrong. Call them, talked to a rep and she said she will get it right. About an hour later Chewy takes additional $9.44 out of my account and so again I call them. I was told that it is because my order is coming from two different warehouses and they do this (putting money on hold) until it ships from that warehouse. So today, I call for the 4th time and ask after viewing that my address is NOT changed with FedEx. Why? Was told that they will call AGAIN! SO I call FedEx to confirm and only one of my tracking numbers is confirmed a change of ship to.

    I call yet a 5th time and talk to yet another Supervisor. I got the shipping address taken care of and started about the monies that they STOLE from my account and by the time I was off the phone my order is free and was told that no more charges would be taken from my Bank. Well tonight I get another text from my bank saying Chewy just did almost another $29 pending charge!!! So the 6th call I call and was told the same thing about different warehouses and told them they already have stated that I will not be charged for this order and that as of noon today I was not to get any more pending charges on my account.

    Now I am told to call my Bank and they will talk 3 way with them or an email or a fax. It will take 3 to 5 business days to get it back! They have $91.00 almost double what my order was on a pending status at my Bank that I can not touch! I told them my money all of it better be there by tomorrow or I am calling a Lawyer! Chewy sees nothing wrong with reaching into your account and taking what they want and saying it is because of warehouses! I will NEVER do business with this company and again or would recommend them to anyone I know!

    Placed my first order and signed up for autoship in order to get the 30% off my first order. Also ordered over $49 in order to get the free shipping. Received order confirmation and then the next day received email that my order would not be processed because the promotion is for first time customers only. Obviously I am a first time customer or the 30% off promotion would have never gone through at the check out. This company is VERY SHADY. Will not be ordering from them again. I do not recommend ordering from this company.

    I have been a Chewy.com member since fall 2018. My experience has been nothing short of quick, responsive, and simply wonderful. Right off the bat, when Chewy.com states customer service is available 24/7, they actually mean a real, living, breathing human being will answer the phone in a couple rings - no need to press numbers or get frustrated with a voice-guided menu. He or she will take care of any questions or concerns you may have regarding your order. When I accidentally ordered the wrong cat food for my first order, I used the "Chat" option on the web page to rectify my order before it was shipped. Not only did the helpful Chewy.com team member update my order, she also set up a profile for my rescue cat!

    I sometimes order food for the local animal shelter and when there was an issue with delivery, I called to provide updated delivery instructions and they were able to relay those instructions to the driver. Now that I use the Chewy.com Android app, ordering items for my kitties, the local animal shelter, and wild birds is a breeze. I am a very happy customer of Chewy.com. Two thumbs and two paws up for Chewy.com!

    We run a non-profit animal rescue (Saving Whiskers and Tails, LTC in Oklahoma). Several times people have brought donations of food, toys and treats for our rescue pets that they ordered from Chewy and requested a return for whatever reason. Chewy refunds their money but instead of asking for the return of merchandise, suggests that it be donated to a local rescue. They have no idea how much this policy is appreciated by its recipients.     May 6th payment hold for purchase May 7th. Items shipped. Separate payments made for each which totaled May 6th amount on hold. May 9th called to see why there was still a hold for the original amount. Rep said it will be released on May 14th but she was confused on the amount of number in my order number so she was going to ask someone else and OOPS we got disconnected, emailed customer service and was told that I needed to contact my bank it was their fault that it had not been released and I could call them back on a 3 way with the bank.

    This has never happened to me with any other online orders I have placed. I told them in the email that if this is the way they do things that I would not use them again. Called my bank and they said that Chewy puts a hold for a specific date to be released so they are holding my money and my account is out double the amount spent. Why don't they have the technology to release. Once paid they should not put a week long hold especially when the second payment is made and cleared. Poor accounting management. I had to give a star or this would not post I would give them 1/2 star.

    We ordered our prescription for Nexgard Chewables and elected to send our prescription in by mail. The whole process took less than a week and the Nexgard was at our doorstep. We saved $48.00 by asking our Vet to write us a prescription rather than buying the Nexgard there at the clinic. We will definitely use Chewy.com in the future for our dog's prescriptions.

    Save yourself a headache. Use Amazon. Their carrier will go for months with no problem... Then can't get the address right. Can't find the correct state. Can't get their vehicle down the driveway... I have several deliveries every month. This last catastrophy was all I could handle. I was going on vacation trying to save time. The order did not come. I had to repurchase to have supplies for the sitters while I was away. Chewy.com told me they would have the carrier redirected to me... and refund my money because of the hassle. 10 days later and neither has happened. I'm done with them and I work at a grocery store. I USED to be a big fan!

    Every time I’ve ordered from Chewy.com (and it’s often), the order is always accurate and very speedy delivery. I have 2 kittens and for their 1st birthday, I received a handwritten birthday card for them!     I have been a customer for over 7 yrs. I am disabled and this was perfect for me. The prices seemed good and they used to be able to return it your pet did not like. Also if anything was damaged you would just send them a picture and they would replace. Well that all has changed. Now since they are advertising and more people know about them their customer service is too busy to handle orders or questions. Items came damaged more often since they would pack a 40lb bag of cat litter with a plastic great had and pack heavy cases of wet food with bags of dry food. I would open the box and the bags were ripped. More than half the cans dented or even leaking (oh the smell).

    Yes their prices are good but not worth having to return all the damaged items before they would even consider replacing. I would spend $150 to $ 250 a month and they do not care. Is I am wondering if the food was even fresh because my cats would not eat their favorite foods. I just thought they were changing but as they say YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Amazon now has a pet section and will ship there.

    My cat required special food we purchased from Chewy. After she passed away I contacted them regarding 37 cans of unopened food inquiring about a refund. The representative refunded the cost of the food and requested I donate it to an animal care organization. I dropped it by the SPCA that day and today received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a sweet condolence note from Chewy. Top notch organization and I will be a customer for life.

    This is the 2nd time they forgotten to ship my seizure meds for my dog. He has violent cluster seizures and is on NEED TO BE heavy medication. When I spoke to the vet whom they were suppose to contact for authorization I was informed they never reached out to them. Then I expressed the urgency of the meds being on time; the supervisor-CHRIS- expressed his concern and said he'd expedite the meds. I never received an email stating the order was shipped along with the tracking number. So I called back ONLY TO BE TOLD THE MEDS NEVER SHIPPED AND THE ORDER ISN'T MARKED TO BE EXPEDITED. I don't understand what part of seizure medication is not understood and then lie to me!!! I cannot do busy with a dishonest company and I'd encourage others not to as well. MY POOOR DOG!

    When my Chewy order was delivered via FedEx to the wrong address, Chewy re-submitted my order for me free of charge, and it was shipped within 1 day! I have used Chewy over a year, love the convenience. Never had a shipping problem before, it was FedEx error, not Chewy's. They are great! Thanks Chewy!

    I had been ordering from Chewy.com for over a year and was completely satisfied with their products and service. When I was not, I was issued a refund without asking for it. Our dog became ill and had to be put to sleep. I called Chewy to stop the autoshipment and spoke to "Sarah". She was so sympathetic and understanding. Approximately 10 days later, we received the prettiest bouquet of flowers with a sympathy card from Chewy/Sarah. It was so touching and kind.... If we are to get another pet, we will definitely use Chewy.com. Thank you for caring so much.

Instead they DEMAND that opened and used food be returned, which they cannot resale and is a waste of my time, theirs and money! This commercial CLAIMS they support shelters through these donations. FALSE FALSE FALSE!!!

    “This commercial was an example of how we can handle these situations. All returns are handled on a case by case basis, and in some cases we will need you to send the items back to us.     The selection is great, the shipping is fast, and I have been blown away by Chewy's Customer Service department. Seriously, customer service has become a lost art but on the several occasions I have needed to contact Chewy they have gone way above the standard to make sure I'm satisfied. It's hard to find this kind of service in a shop down the street but it amazes me that a .com store over the internet takes their customers so seriously. I generally believe in buying local (I came to Chewy because my cat had thyroid disease and the only place I could find her special prescription medicine was at Chewy), but they have a customer for life in me.

    When I recently contacted them regarding healthy foods for my new cats because my previous (hyperthyroid) cat had passed away, not only were they extremely helpful in identifying foods to meet my cats' needs (along with links to each brand) but they were also incredibly, honestly heartbroken and compassionate about my loss. Again, I just didn't expect this kind of human connection with a dot com. Forget the Disney Model of customer service, I now aspire to the Chewy.com Model of customer service!

    Recently Bella and I was attacked by two Siberian huskies. Devastated I called Chewy.com to asked about the best product to purchase and was advised about the best product for the protection for me and my Bella but also the well being of the aggressive dogs.     About 6 months ago I started ordering from Chewy.com. First order went well then the problems started: I ordered food on a Friday. Well that order did not ship (was told they only ship food the next day Monday thru Thursday) ok, ordered food on Sunday night (figuring I had two days of food so I should be good) so it shipped on Monday from PA (I live in MA 5 hours away) and I figured it would arrange by Tuesday. Nope. Customer service told me they can only guarantee 1 day shipping in areas near the distribution centers. NOWHERE WAS I INFORMED OF THAT.

    I have family in the Pennsylvania/Ohio border and I can get to them in less than two days! It will most likely be here on Wednesday. What is the point?? It would take less time and less frustration to drive to a pet store near me (and barely more expensive). They have lost my business. Remember you have to order between Monday thru Thursday AND you have to live in the state of the distribution center.

    I order my cats Prescription cat food quarterly from Chewy. I was impressed and recommended them to anyone with a pet! I was completely satisfied until now, the first time I EVER made a non-prescription purchase and my card was overcharged and twice over two days! I made a purchase Last night for $41 total, 6 items. 5 would be shipped in one package, and one item would be shipped by itself. I didn’t think anything of it because I order stuff from Amazon all the time and it’s delivered in separate packages.

    This afternoon, the next day, I received an alert from my credit card company for a charge for a little over $5 from Chewy, on the same card. I logged into my account on Chewy and there was no other item purchased nor other order. I then immediately logged into my credit card and saw the $41.01 charge pending and then the $5.06 charge pending. I called your customer service and got a woman who didn’t seem to understand or comprehend what the deal was. She said the charge was because the other item, the one item shipped by itself, is being shipped from a different warehouse so Chewy put a hold on the card for that item again plus tax, she said it should drop off my credit card after perhaps 48 hours.

    The thing is I had ALREADY PAID for that item, how can you charge a customer twice for one item because it’s being shipped from a different warehouse but once it’s delivered the charge should drop from the credit card???? Then the rep told me that the charges add up to the $41.06 which I had to explain they don’t and she finally agreed they don’t but she didn’t understand what the big deal was. It’s $5.06 and it’ll drop off my account in roughly 48 hours. After explaining over and over why I was frustrated. I finally had to hand the phone to my husband who was on the phone with the poor girl for 45 minutes trying to explain to her that yes it is $5 but a pending charge takes away the available credit in the account. She fought and fought with us.

    Meanwhile I called my credit card company and told them the charge was not made by me and they told me that a pending charge can not be disputed until it is posted that the merchant has the chance to cancel the transaction, but they would make a note. So my husband tells Chewy this and they say they cannot cancel the transaction unless they talk to my bank. You cannot cancel a $5.06 charge that you wrongly charged me unless you talk to my bank?

    Ok, at this point I am fuming. I call the credit card company back and explain what has developed and they transfer me to a supervisor who can talk to Chewy. Suddenly, the woman rep for Chewy says she can no longer handle our complaint and needs to talk to a supervisor. My husband says to transfer him to the supervisor, she FINALLY does. The supervisor says he cannot talk to the bank, it’s a pending charge, and that this thing actually happens on their end OFTEN and we got someone who wasn’t aware of this glitch. He says in 48 hours the $5 charge will be removed and he will credit us $15 as well.

    It’s sad that this is a common thing for your company and you GET AWAY with charging people’s cards twice and OVERCHARGING them! Yes it is $5, but what if someone used a debit card and you took away their available funds and they overdraft? Would you be responsible for those fees because YOU wrongly charged someone? Fix your glitch, fix your customer service. Taking my money & business elsewhere. Will not be recommending your company nor speaking highly of you. Run away from Chewy. Cancel, cancel, cancel!!!

    Ordered a monthly prescription for my 12 year-old wolfhound and it was shipped for a two-day delivery. Somehow, the shipment has gone to 3 different states, but not the one I live in. I called Chewy to tell them that my meds are one day late and that I need them NOW so they said that they would ship a second prescription at no charge. I was later told that the replacement shipment would have to be approved by my vet (the same vet who already approved the first order that was being replaced). I called and told the customer service rep. that this is ridiculous since it is now going to be 4 days late at best and the order has already been approved. Asked for an overnight shipment and they said they didn't do overnight shipments. They said that the original shipment will arrive no later than Monday, but the notice I received was that it would arrive Tuesday. The truth is that they have no idea when it will arrive and furthermore they don't care! DON'T ORDER MEDS FROM THIS PLACE... THEY COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR PET'S NEEDS.

    I have been a customer of Chewy.com for a couple of years and have always appreciated that I can reach someone 24/7 and they are always so friendly and helpful. But the other day, they could have knocked me over with a feather. I had to put my little dog to sleep and needless to say I'm devastated. When I called Chewy to cancel his auto-ship medications Molly was so kind and sensitive to the pain I was going through. Two d6ays later, I arrived home to find a beautiful bouquet of flowers! I am shocked and humbled by Chewy.com's compassion for their customers. This is the kind of customer service you just don't see anymore. Thank you Chewy!     My wife just read me a note from this company that she received in response to a product issue we had. Our very large (140 lb) dog is getting old and she is not moving as gracefully as she once did. At the advice of our Vet, we decided to try some fish oil capsules to lubricate her joints. What we quickly discovered was that while the oil may have worked on her joints, it certainly lubricated her GI! She quickly became a "Blazing Saddles" tour de force. While there was absolutely nothing wrong with this product at all, it was clearly not the right thing for our dog. After a very short time, we discontinued using it. My wife, who normally doesn't do this, sent a note to Chewy wondering if maybe she could send the unused back for a partial refund, given that it was kind of expensive.

    What she got back from them was almost unbelievable in this day and age. Chewy sent a note back saying that our charge card account had been credited back for the full price and they suggested that we maybe find someone who could use the oil or donate it to a shelter. They didn't even make us return it. I wish I could shake someone's hand. This is old school customer service, the way I have always run our family business. I hope this review finds its way to others who may be considering doing business with these people. I urge you to give them a chance. This was impressive. Well done Chewy. You have a lifelong customer.

    I have been ordering from Chewy for about a year now. Their customer service is usually great (I’ve only had one unhelpful Customer Service agent in a year — everyone else has been awesome) and the speed in which they ship is excellent. However, my dog has been diagnosed recently with early onset of hip disease. She’s in pain. The doctor gave her a prescription for an anti-inflammatory that noticing helped her and told me to order from an online vendor because it’s cheaper than getting it through the vet and she’s basically going to be on it for the rest of her life (she’s nine). He recommended Allivet but after doing research I decided to order from Chewy. Their prices were the same but Chewy didn’t charge extra for shipping and I know they ship fast.

    It’s been three weeks now and she still doesn’t have her meds. She’s in pain, and I’m now extremely frustrated. I have called now five times. Originally they had problems getting in contact with my vet for approval (for about a week!) so I called and asked them to fax the order to him again and they did. Great, I was told that they got approval for the meds he told me to order weeks prior. Then my order was canceled because I ordered too few pills. So after another phone call the customer service rep reordered for me on the phone. Then THAT order got canceled.

    When I called a third time the girl was largely unhelpful and just kept repeating herself saying she had no idea why the order was canceled because the pharmacy canceled it (so they had no idea and I never received a phone call or explanation either). Then she told me she needed permission from my vet AGAIN even though two days prior he confirmed the prescription (which was confirmed to me verbally by the customer rep who talked to me two days prior). This was a Monday, so I told her to make sure to fax my vet Tuesday morning because he doesn’t work Mondays (great, had to wait another day to get a second confirmation of meds for my dog. Wonderful). She said she would do this and call me Tuesday morning.

    Tuesday came and I received no phone call from Chewy but I got a confirmation email saying my order was being processed. The next day, I got another email saying the order had shipped. When I clicked on the details I saw that the customer rep had sent the order to my previous address instead of my current one (I recently moved but I already received two Chewy shipments to my new address). So I called again but I was told it was too late because it was already out for delivery. The person I was on the phone with deleted my last address from my account and tried to put a reroute on the package but she wasn’t sure it would work (which it didn’t).

    I called today AGAIN to inform them I still don’t have the meds and the rep said she will try to process it again through the pharmacy but it’s out of her hands because the pharmacy is “very strict” and they don’t ship as quickly as everything else. She said it might take several days more and I’ll have to wait for a pharmacy call to ensure that I’m not abusing the doggie anti-inflammatories. To say I’m beyond frustrated is an understatement. By the time I actually get her meds (if I ever do) it will be a month later. My dog is in pain and if she was human this would be unacceptable.

    I’m frustrated that it’s taken so long. I’m frustrated that there seems to be communication issues between the pharmacy and other departments. I’m frustrated that my orders were canceled by the pharmacy without a phone call or explanation. I’m frustrated that the customer service rep never called me and sent the order to the wrong address (although I know she meant to help — by not confirming with me or looking closely to where my last deliveries went she sent me back a couple more weeks). I’m frustrated that all I keep getting is apologies but no one seems to be making this a priority.

    I should have paid the heftier costs to another provider if it meant my dog would be comfortable. I regret my decision. Chewy is great for cookies or food that is in stock. I could never recommend the pharmacy services to anyone looking for medications for their dogs. Especially long term service like me. No one seems to care that my dog is in pain. Sure, everyone says they're sorry, but no one is helping me. I understand this was a combination of the cancellation of prescriptions by the pharmacy and the customer service rep that didn’t ask me which address to ship to, but this experience has been terrible.

    I made my first order from Chewy.com on Monday 4/23/19. However, that evening our dog Enzo passed away. :( I called Chewy.com and told them I need to send back the dog food, but the representative said, "We don't want you to have to go through the trouble of sending it back to us, so we will refund the full amount, and we would just ask that you donate the items to a friend or a shelter." I'm really blown away on how nice the rep was and the company in a whole. We will definitely recommend Chewy.com to our friends and family as well as use them for future purchases for when we decide to adopt a new dog.

    I have been a Chewy.com customer using the auto-ship program for approx. 2 years now. My cat became very ill after receiving a vaccination and then required prescription food and probiotics for his tummy. The auto-ship program made it so easy to get what I needed and on time. Unfortunately my kitty recently passed away which led me having to make a very difficult phone call to customer service to cancel my auto-ship. Of course I was crying hysterically but the girl on the phone was so understanding and kind and gave her sympathies. What happened next was truly awesome. Chewy sent flowers with a sympathy card to my home! Again, I cried like a baby! What company would go out of their way to do such a kind, thoughtful and generous thing?! I can't say enough about your outstanding customer service. My family and I appreciate you more than you'll ever know. From the bottom of our broken hearts...THANK YOU!!! : )

    Employee gets injured Friday and fired Monday. One of your employees in Phoenix Arizona was injured on Friday at your business Chewy on 143rd Avenue,,, which calls for first of some compassion from the hr and supervisors and workers comp and instead she was fired. Wonder how well that will sit with the state of Arizona and the equal opportunity and workers comp, I suggest you look into this and make it right!!! Before your company is all over the news for firing someone for getting hurt on the job you should have better management that should take better care of your employees have a heart getting hurt then fired. Come on. After all they are the ones who keep your company going and your selling food for Pets you don't care about humans much less animals.

    Pet owners should find out how you don't care about people and I'm sure they would take their business elsewhere... Heartless!!! I hope you make this right and not ignore my complaint.     I have purchased cat/dog food from this company... My new puppy is very stubborn and refused to eat anything that wasn't cat food. I tried several puppy foods at retail stores which she wouldn't eat. I try to get healthy so my next step was to research and find the best, which I found at Chewy. However she refused to eat it. I emailed the business and ask if I could return the unopened can food. They said they would refund my money and I could give the food to animal shelter, friends... etc. The refund was in my account the next day. They did not have to refund me any money they could have just told me to chalk it up... I will continue to order my cat food and supplies there and eventually find a food for my lil one and order it also. Thank you for being very kind to a new puppy owner.

    I have had several great experiences with Chewy now. I have ordered everything from dog toys to collars to food, treats, and medication and have only received the best quality products. On one recent order there was a communication error between Chewy and the shipping provider and the customer service representative was so kind and had it fixed by the end of the day. I even received a call from the supervisor confirming it was corrected. I had an issue with a separate product I ordered and they replaced it with quick shipping with again, very good customer service. The prices are much more affordable than local stores, I recommend Chewy to everyone!

    I have been ordering FOOD for my dog from Chewy for quite a while now. They never disappointed me. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about MEDICATION! Something that is as important as food. (Sometimes even more important which in my case now). I was at my dog's vet office on THU when they sent the fax to Chewy with the authorization to release my dog's prescription. As of today, Saturday, my order has not been shipped. I just got off the chat with Chewy and they said that the meds will only be shipped on Monday and that I will only get it by WED. Mind you that with food, you get your shipment super fast.

    The person I spoke to said that it is stated on the website that it can take this long, blah blah blah. That's not my point! My point is that: 1st: they take too long to release the order after it has been authorized. 2nd: Medication should not take this long. Medication should be shipped on weekends as well, not only Mon-Fri. Period!!! 3rd: I asked if it could be expedited and offered to pay for it and they simply said: no!

    I have previously ordered medication from other companies and never had this issue. Ever! I ordered from Chewy this time because they had a better price but as they say: You get what you pay for! As of now, I have only gotten charges in my CC. So, with that said, I will not be ordering medication from Chewy again! Terrible experience. It's 2019, Chewy needs to step up their game! Other companies offer better services. If you want to receive your dog's MEDICATION almost a week after you ordered, then go ahead, order from Chewy.

    Chewy contacted my vet about prescribing Ringers lactate solution. My vet does not fax so I obtained a written Rx from him and mailed it to the Kentucky address that Chewy gave me. I receive a phone call from Chewy that I needed an original Rx with vet's signature. Of course, the Rx was computer generated, but I stood right there and watched the vet sign it. All this time I am receiving emails telling me that my Rx would be cancelled in X number of days if Rx not received. Another call from Chewy. The Rx had to be sent by email from the vet office. Apparently I was not supposed to have sent it as directed originally. Chewy called my Vet who agreed to email the Rx. Chewy confirmed that he had done so. At this point, all appeared to be ready to ship.

    However, two days later I received an email once again telling me that they had spoken to my vet and it was required to have my original Rx mailed to the Kentucky address. Now I am totally confused, and before I could figure out what to do next, I received another call from Chewy telling me that my vet wouldn't prescribe the Ringers and I would need to get some generic version. At this point I just cancelled the order. By the way, the Rx clearly states Ringers Lactate Solution. I say avoid Chewy Pharmacy. They don't seem to really have a clue and certainly don't communicate with other departments within their own company.

    I have been using Chewy for years and have always found their products to be excellent and well-priced, and their customer service to be exceptional. I once ordered 2 cases of canned dog food from them and about 4 of the cans were so badly damaged that I was not comfortable using them. I contacted Chewy and they replaced my entire order free of charge, even after I told them it was not necessary.

    When my dog passed away several years ago, I contacted them to ask if I could return some of the dog food that I had left - over 2 cases of canned dog food. They immediately credited my account for the dog food, but told me that I did not have to return it - to donate it to a shelter, which I did. Additionally, the customer service representative was very sympathetic and kind, offering condolences. I then got an email from them again offering condolences and saying that they were there for me if I needed to talk. I have adopted 2 dogs since then and use their autoship program. The products always arrive timely. They have a wonderful selection at great prices. I have recommended Chewy to all of my friends and they have all been as happy with the company as I am.

    Evidently Chewy does not stand by its advertising. I needed a Portable Pet Pen right away. Did a search online and saw that Chewy's site promised 1-2 day free shipping. I ordered it on a Weds expecting to get it by Friday. Notification said delivery wouldn't happen until Monday. I contacted Chewy.com and was told the delivery couldn't be changed, but that they could recall the order and refund me the money. You'd think if they could recall the order they could also adjust the deliver date. I cancelled the order and will go buy a pen at a local store. I had a previous issue with their auto delivery on a pet med where they could not fill the auto delivery date and they cancelled the order. I had to scramble to get the meds elsewhere.

    I have only been using Chewy.com for about 1 year. I put my little Pomeranian to sleep 3 days ago. I was expecting 2 bags of Lactaid Ringers in the mail. I called Chewy and asked if I could return the bags of fluids. The customer service rep. told me she would credit the purchase on my acct. and that I didn't have to return it. She said she didn't want to put any extra work on my part and to donate it to my veterinarian. Also, this morning I received a beautiful flower arrangement from Chewy. I was so taken back. I thought it would be from a family member but when I saw it was from Chewy, I was so nicely surprised. It put a smile on my face for the first time in 3 days. Grieving the loss is difficult enough but these 2 gestures went above and beyond what I ever expected. "Chewy, you are the best"!!

    I have used Chewy for years mainly because of their low prices. The main issue with Chewy a serious problem, censored reviews. I purchased the MaxMeat product which was supposed to be small squares of jerky. When I received them, the bag had nothing resembling the photo on the website, but just a bag of crumbs. I wrote a one star review that was never published. Actually I purchased 3 different flavors of the MaxMeat, so I wrote 3 reviews, of which none were published. This is a systemic problem at Chewy. If you look at almost every product they sell, almost all have very high ratings. Only a handful of negative reviews are allowed. As far as I'm concerned, this is fraud. They are manipulating reviews to sell more products, which is unfair to consumers. I can no longer trust reviews here, so I go to honest websites and research products. Beware if you buy here.

    I was a loyal customer to chewy.com since 2013. I was on the auto ship every 2 weeks for our 3 dogs dog food. Never had a problem till this yr they started not supplying our dog food as of January till present they still dont have our brand food in and I kept getting a complete runaround with customer service. What's the purpose of auto ship? Never run out when they stopped carrying the product. We faithfully have been buying 2 bags every 2 weeks for the past 5 yrs. Past few times customer service was very rude. I had also recommended others now I regret that so I have now stopped spending money at the place and took my business to someone that actually cares about their customer and pets.

    I am trying to get information. I work with a local animal rescue. We had a dog come in. Tested Negative for Heartworm. Dog is adopted. The adopter's vet tests for heartworm one year later and dog is positive. Adopter had the dog on Heartguard purchased from Chewy the ENTIRE time. The manufacturer of Heartguard will typically provide a guarantee and will pay some costs for the heartworm treatment in this scenario UNLESS you do not buy the Heartguard from a licensed VET. Specifically, no coverage if you buy from Chewy - even when your Vet authorizes the prescription. SO WHY NOT? Is Chewy buying their product from something outside the manufacturer? They say no. But then why not guarantee? Anyone else have a similar experience? I am trying to put together information.

    I tried to order Trifexis for my dog. When you order, they give you a choice. They can contact your vet OR you can mail in the original prescription. My vet frowns on online pharmacies, so I did not want Chewy to contact them. I indicated that I would mail in the original prescription. First, they contact my vet. I email them and I say please do NOT contact my vet. I have already MAILED you the original prescription. Okay fine. Now 2 days later, they email me and say, "Oops there was a glitch and your order was cancelled, but we will give you 20% off your next order." REALLY? I don’t want 20% off. I want my dog’s meds. Now I have to chase them down to try and get my original prescription back. What a hassle. Such a disappointment. I used to really like Chewy.com and recommend them to others.

    First - I have a very picky cat, who only eats True Nature turkey flavor. She was running low, I ordered some. Three days later Chewy cancelled my order without notice. I called customer support. They told me it was because they noticed I changed my address (which I have received other orders to for over a year). Three days after that was when I received my order. So it took almost a week to get my products that I was entitled to free 2-day shipping on. Second - Today I opened an order, the True Nature and some cat litter. Only the box was totally beat to hell and there was cat litter everywhere. So with Chewy, you might get your free 2-day shipping, and if you do, there's a chance you'll only get half your product and a huge mess. :)

    Customer service is wonderful. The problem that I do have with Chewy is their shipping. It's not up to standards. They shipped my cat litter and my cat treats in one box and do not secure the cat litter. The container was broken open smashed my cat treats so they were mixed together. They did replace them so the next order I changed my cat litter and got it in boxes and they did not secure the boxes so it's smashed my treats again. Hopefully they will work this out in their shipping Department but I highly recommend Chewy. The prices are good and the convenience of having it delivered is to my home priceless.

    Chewy would not take a return items I ordered. Advises to give it to a rescue center or someone who needed the item and I was refunded my money. There was a delivery of litter left in the rain by the delivery co., and Chewy replaced the litter at no charge. I also received a beautiful gift from Chewy which we not given due to any negative complaint on my part. This is a first class company that cares about their customers and their pets.

    I placed an order with Chewy.com (not my first) and selected one of my saved payment options. It went through and everything was fine. Ordered shipped. Two days later I discover a pending charge of the same amount on a different card that was not selected. I contacted their customer service and the basic response was, "it is only a pending charge and should fall off in 24 hours." Even after continued pushing they never offered any explanation as to why the second "pending" charge was issued. Never trust Chewy.com to have saved payment options.

    I was following my delivery on the Chewy.com site and it was supposed to be delivered on 04/05/19, it was never delivered. I contacted Chewy to report that my package was not delivered. The customer service representation (I neglected to get her name) contacted FedEx and filed a complaint with them, and provided me with complaint number (**) and the supervisor she spoke to at FedEx named Michelle. I would also like to recognize the customer service specialist from Chewy for her outstanding customer service. I was told the package would be delivered 04/06/19, again the package was not delivered. I called Chewy customer service and spoke with the supervisor Mr. **. He was so very helpful.

    Mr. ** contacted FedEx and discovered that FedEx placed a message on my address that indicated my package was undeliverable because I was on vacation. I did not place any such request with FedEx so Mr. ** told me he spoke with a supervisor at FedEx and had the vacation notes removed. Mr. ** told me that my package would be delivered 04/08/19 and he offered me an additional discount for the inconvenience. I have to say that I truly love Chewy, the products and the wonderful customer service that they provide. Praying my package arrives on Monday so my furry baby and I can enjoy the wonderful items we ordered from Chewy!!!!

    Received a package from Chewy.com as a donation for my son’s animal shelter project. I brought the box in the house and my 3 kids and I excitedly opened it to see what was inside. The box was sealed. When we opened it and started to pull out the dog bed, a huge rat jumped out of the box. We screamed and ran away in terror. After we calmed down, we searched the box for any holes and did not find any. The box was fully intact. The dog food and bone bag inside had holes in them with food and bones all over the bottom of the box. There were rat feces in the box. We immediately contacted Chewy.com and they apologized and said they would cover any cost incurred from traps and an exterminator. We proceeded to set traps thinking we had only one rat in our house. To our surprise, we have caught 4 rats. THERE WERE 4 RATS IN MY CHEWY.COM BOX.

    One rat bit through my water hose on my fridge which caused a major flood that damaged my basement ceiling. Not knowing how many rats were in the box and if any were pregnant, which could cause a major infestation, we decided it was necessary to call an exterminator. Chewy.com had initially said they would cover all costs. After getting an estimate and submitting it, Chewy.com is now refusing to pay and totally refusing to take responsibility. I am so thoroughly disappointed and appalled at Chewy.com. My family has been living in absolute fear and potentially could be exposed to serious diseases from the rodents that Chewy.com shipped to me and they can’t even take responsibility. I never thought in a million years that collecting animal supplies with my son would turn into such a nightmare. Chewy.com should be disgusted and ashamed of themselves!!!

    I have been using Chewy.com for about a year now and I would honestly give it 6 stars if I could. They have better prices with a good amount of items than most chain pet stores and offer a wide variety of items, some that are hard to find in the pet stores near me even. My husband and I needed a leash leader and had bought one at PetSmart for a little over $30. Our 1 year old puppy of course got her paws on it and chewed it to bits. We decided to see if Chewy had the same since we already knew which we wanted and when we found it on the site it was literally HALF the price of the one we bought at PetSmart, and the exact same brand/item.

    There was one time where I ordered puppy food and instead somehow managed with senior dog food. I called and was answered on the first ring, was not told to hold, and was greeted politely. I told them what had happened, and they were more than accommodating by sending out the correct food and telling me I could donate the senior food if couldn't use it which I loved.

    This last order I got was smashed up by the mailing company. You could tell that somehow it had been split open and then someone had tried to tape it shut again. As I was going through it (nothing damaged surprisingly) I did notice one item was missing and assumed it had fallen out when it was smashed open. I called customer service and again was answered on the first ring at 9:41pm my time and was treated courteously and not put on hold.

    I explained the problem and before I had called I noticed that the item that was missing was ironically an item I had purchased the wrong size of. I told the customer service representative and he refunded the money for the large and reordered me a medium for the right cost right then and there. It was easy and extremely stress-relieving to get it taken care of all in one go. I will continue ordering from them for as long as I have animals honestly. I have NEVER dealt with a company before this with such great customer service and reliability. I am extremely grateful and I actually never feel annoyed with having to call if I need help with something.

    I have a medication setup with Chewy for Autoship. Recently, I got an email on a Sunday that this medication was going to Autoship in a few days. I adjusted the Autoship date by adding one more day. The Autoship order was set to process on a Wednesday and estimated to ship on Thursday. On Thursday night at 11:53 pm I received an email informing me that the item is temporarily unavailable. I didn’t see the email till the next morning. As soon as I saw the email, I called Chewy and inquired about the item. They didn’t know when the item would be in stock but offered me free shipping when it became available.

    My problem is that I assumed that Autoship was a tool that I rely on to get what I needed when I needed it. My question for Chewy is why did I have to wait 5 days to find out that my cat’s medication was out of stock? Why didn’t I receive an email on the Sunday before letting me know that the item that I had on AutoShip was out of stock. I had to scrabble at the last minute to find another source for this prescription. It is one thing to be out stock in pet food but it is another to be out of stock in a medication and not give customers proper notice. Fortunately, my vet found it from one of their sources and I was able to find it from another source online, who happen to be cheaper that Chewy’s Autoship price. Chewy lost my business on that screw-up.

    So, I've written my reviews on FedEx. I've had no problem with their shipments from Chewy when they come from the Indiana Pa Office. For some reason THIS shipment is coming and being held at Dubois, about a 30 minute further distance. My package was to be delivered two days ago. FedEx states they contacted the customer both evenings it wasn't delivered yet I received NO calls or emails from them. I am SO glad I ordered dog food local and no medications were in this shipment.

    After two days of tracking my package and given the runaround from FedEx, Chewy.com reimbursed me for the delayed order and supposedly the package will be delivered today (after changing an address and ME doing all the contacting). I've since read MANY reviews about FedEx, and since we get free shipping with orders over a certain amount, my only suggestion to Chewy: change delivery companies! Thanks Chewy, I appreciate your support in this matter!

    I had ordered a service vest for my dog. He was in between sizes and it ended up being too large. I called and my phone call was answered right away.     I had to take the time to write about Chewy. I had an older and ill Greyhound who needed prescription food. Not only did Chewy provide fast service, but also the best price. We had to change our beloved Rowdy's food several times to managing his IBD. We also had to change the delivery address, and time in between shipments. Each change was done with kindness and efficiency. Rowdy died and I had to make his final food change to "cancel." My reason was death. I received a lovely email from Chewy and also a refund as we had nearly a new bag. A few days later, Chewy sent flowers to me and a sweet condolence. I was amazed how Chewy always went above and beyond. Thank you Chewy!!!

    I have always had excellent customer service, product choices and prices from Chewy. It really is fun to shop for your pet products online and then receive them so quickly after they are ordered, for the same price or cheaper than getting them from the store. Specifically, I needed to return a product. An $18 dog bed. I put it off and finally called Chewy to find out how to return the bed. They instantly returned my money and asked me to donate the bed to an animal shelter or a place that I knew would be able to put it to good use. How generous is that, for a big company? Please give them a try. They are good to do business with and I am writing this review because I feel companies like this are the ones we as consumers should give our business to.

    I have used Chewy.com for years to get my dogs prescription diet shipped to my house. It has always been very convenient to use and the pricing was always better than what I could get even with my discounts elsewhere (I work as a licensed vet tech at an animal hospital and get very good discounts). Karma was on the Royal Canin Hepatic diet for over 4 years and it played a huge role in extending her life time as well as quality of life.

    When I called to ask if I could get a refund and return an unopened bag from our last autoship because I had to euthanize my poor sweet baby, not only did they give me a full refund but told me that I did not need to ship it back. They simply said I could donate it to a shelter, rescue, or animal hospital of my choosing. I am thoroughly impressed with their compassion and care over the loss of my baby and that they made it slightly easier to cope with the fact that she is gone. Thank you Chewy for making it so there is one less thing to stress over.

    I am a first time customer of Chewy. I saw the banner for free 1-2 day shipping for orders over 49.00. I had a busy weekend so I felt that I would place an order for Old Mother Hubbard’s Bitz Treats, beef tendons and Proviable DC Probiotic Capsules on a Saturday. Total order was over 69.00 and some change. So when the order confirmed it said date of arrival would be Wednesday? I called customer service and it was true that orders place on the weekend don’t get the same shipping dates of 1-2 days. NOT HAPPY!!! I could of done this at my local pet store for less money and faster turnaround. To me that is a false statement. Amazon has a better date of shipping by far. Never again.

    We lost our dog and it has been a difficult time for our family so when we received our auto-shipment from Chewy.com it was a painful reminder of our dog's absence. When I called to return and cancel the shipment the customer care representative (Erma) was empathetic and compassionate. She told me to donate the flea treatment and refunded my money. Even though my business was done she didn’t rush me off the phone. She really made me feel like she cared. Then today I got a knock on the door; it was a flower arrangement from Chewy.com letting me know they care about my lost. Tears of appreciation and sadness poured… I can’t remember a time I really felt like a company encouraged their employees to listen, empathize and try to comfort their customers.     Dependably received my cat's prescription orders of science diet S/D. Easy to set up by just sending a photo of the prescription and at a good price compared to competition. And when my cat’s prescription changed but I forgot to cancel the auto shipment order, they were not only friendly and easy to work with in the return but said instead of having me ship it back they would just credit my account if I would donate the food. If it was a $10 bag of something I’d say they’re just saving handling costs but this is not cheap stuff at $72. Stepped up my already great view of this company for sure.

    Chewy.com was distributing Hills Prescription dog food and Hills had to be recalled. When we went to order another brand of dog food from Chewy (they were not sure when the dog food would be restocked), they said we had to get another prescription from the vet for the other brand of dog food. So they expect the customer to pay the vet for the new prescription and the time to do it. If we have to do that we will just get our dog food from the vet. Looks like the vets prices are cheaper anyway. Chewy.com is not worth the convenience and the aggravation. Seems like their service went down when Petco bought the company.

    Although a long-term satisfied customer of Chewy, ever since Petco took over, it's been disastrous! LaserShip is the only shipper they use in Massachusetts and will not change it. LaserShip has sent every delivery to the wrong address. When I complain, Chewy re-ships using FedEx, so if they can use FedEx to reship an order for free, why not use them all the time? I've complained, ad nauseam, to Chewy customer service, receive numerous promises it'll never happen again; repeat cycle for next order. Customer service sends me emails, apologies, investigation promises - nothing matters.

    As a final resort, I posted my complaint on Chewy's Facebook page to the world. I got immediate response from Chewy, other customers and even a reporter. Guess who's shipping my current order? Yep, LaserShip again. I even revealed that Yelp gave LaserShip a one-star rating from customers to include their own employees, to no avail. If this current order gets sent to the wrong address again, that will be the LAST time Chewy gets my business. I also placed an order on PetFlow, who ships out of their New Jersey warehouse and only uses FedEx, two-day shipping. It's due today and I get constant tracking. Guess who's getting my business from now on?

    Yahoo had an advertisement this AM (3/27/19) that Chewy was offering 30% and free shipping today for Cesar wet dog food. Went onto the site and only discovered it is with an autoship. When I asked chat about it, chat said it was a Google ad and not theirs. I honestly don't understand this? Google can place an ad without Chewy's knowing about it? Then Chewy changed their argument and said, Google didn't have room to put the full information about the auto ship. I really feel Chewy lied and are not standing behind their ads and promotions. I will never ever buy anything from Chewy again.

    I just recently started purchasing my fur baby's pain medicine (**) from Chewy.com. Because of this they had to first get in touch with the vet, of course. The staff at Chewy.com stayed in contact with me on a daily basis, either by email or phone to let me know how the progress was going and when it came to day 4 and the vet had still not confirmed dosages I verbalized my concerns to a staff member at Chewy while on the phone, informing them I was down to just under a week's worth of medicine and the fact my dog has cancer... I just couldn't let her go without. Three days later I not only had my Jessie's medicine, but also a card, hand signed by a multitude of staff, saying the kindest words. My fur baby is terminal, but their kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you, Chewy.com!

    I moved about two years ago and could no longer purchase my cat's food at a local retailer. My choices were Amazon and Chewy. I have tried repeatedly to use Chewy. 1 to 2 days is not the case on my orders and it has never been communicated to me on the confirmation email or the initial tracking. Only when it does not show up. Usually I speak with considerate CSRs but this time I had to deal with a very rude guy that just wanted to contradict everything I said.     I just started using Chewy as a regular pet supplier. I ordered a crate for my St Bernard and it arrived in 3 days. The very next day he contracted bloat and passed away suddenly. I inquired about a return process with Chewy and the girl I spoke with could not have been more empathetic. I was informed that my purchase would be refunded and asked that I donate the crate in Boomer’s name to a local rescue. I broke down on the phone, it was an incredible gesture at a very raw time. She encouraged me to call back even if I just needed to talk. This is an incredible company with employees that have a heart. I will use them for everything from here on out.

    I think Chewy is an awesome company. You get your items right at your door and it only takes two day. You don’t have to lift the big bags into the shopping cart then lift it into the car then into your home. If something is not right they will fix it and that item that was wrong you don’t have to send it back, you just take it to your closest animal shelter. The the best thing was when I sent a picture of my cats someone there painted pictures of them and they sent the pictures to me for Christmas present. Tears come to my eyes. It was such an awesome thing to do. I love those pictures and Chewy.com.

    Last month I decided to change my dog's food to a brand that was not carried in any of my local retailers. Chewy had it in stock, and at a reasonable price. I went ahead and ordered it and some dog shampoo. The dog food arrived, but the box was absolutely beat up, and cardboard weak from getting wet. My Shampoo was also missing. They sent me a free one within the next few days, which was great. I went ahead and signed up for autoship of the food, to come every 4 weeks. I was charged for the food on 03/19/2019, and online it said the expected ship date was 03/20/19, which was perfect because my dog was nearing the end of the bag.

    On 03/22/19 I checked the status of my package, and it still said pending. I contacted customer service, only to be told that they were out and waiting for the food to be back in stock. They thankfully said they would ship a new back, but I'm still going to need to find a way to feed my dog until that decides to show up. Now my dog is out of food, and I have to try, yet again, to find it locally or switch my dog's food. I NEVER received notification that they did not have the food in stock, nor that there would be a delay in shipping. Chewy's inventory and notification (unless it's for a sale) sucks, but their resolutions to issues are prompt. Regardless, autoship cancelled, and will be taking my business elsewhere...eternally.

    They have no idea what they have in their inventory when you order from them. I ordered a SunSun HW-702B Aquarium UV Sterilizer Canister Filter, 75-gal is was guaranteed in stock, and of course they charged me for it. It never arrived, and they claimed non delivery... I asked what happened, and all they could tell me it was no longer in stock. Even though when I looked online it was listed in stock. They would not send a upgrade or replacement... Just said they would refund me. VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND THEIR INVENTORY TRACKING IS PATHETIC. Since PetSmart has taken over they have truly gone downhill...     I will highly recommend Chewy.com forever. They are the nicest big company I’ve ever encountered. We had been ordering supplies for my dog from them for years. When she died last week, we contacted them to see if we could return some unused items. Not only did they fully refund our last order, they told us to keep the supplies and suggested we donate them to a shelter.     Wow! I am over the top impressed with this pet food company Chewy. Not only were they kind and understanding when they learned Fitz died they refunded me for the prescription food we had left and told us not to return but donate locally.     I have tried for over a year to use Chewy.com because of the purported convenience of their promised delivery to my door and the great product selection. However, after many and repeated contacts with Chewy.com’s customer service reps, the same delivery problems have continued month after month. Although comparatively lightweight packages from Chewy.com are delivered to my door reliably, orders of over about 20 lbs. again and again have been dumped in my driveway or, as again today, dumped at a neighbor’s so as to block the neighbor’s carport. Often these heavier boxes have been damaged and are spilling pet food onto the ground, and more than once have been left in the rain in that condition by Chewy’s delivery service.

    Chewy.com’s delivery service here is FedEx, and it has been made clear to me by Chewy’s service reps that they consider this ultimately my problem to solve with FedEx if I can. They tell me that they have given FedEx detailed delivery instructions and my directions (my house is at the end of a short driveway in a suburban community and easily visible from the street). Perhaps so, but it appears they have not persuaded FedEx to change its delivery practices or even to stop creating hazards upon delivery. Most important, Chewy.com does not give me the option of any alternative, safer, and more reliable delivery service.     They are SOOO kind. They had our cat's special RX food and we had it auto shipped the rest of her life. She passed the day after we got a full $50 box. We called to ask what we could do and they told us to donate it to a place of our choosing, refunded our money and send us condolence card and flowers! I was blown away. Such a great company.

    These chews come in different sizes. I get them at www.Chewy.Com. At first my Lhasa didn't care for them, he liked rawhide. These are made with yak milk and they are pure, I don't worry about them splintering like rawhide.

    I had an auto shipment every month set up for prescription kidney dog food for my Golden Retriever. I had just received the auto shipment when my Golden became very ill and passed away. I called Chewy.com to cancel the auto shipment and to ask if I could return the unopened bag. I was very upset and the girl I spoke with was so kind and told me they were refunding me for my last auto shipment. They also canceled it and told me to donate the food to a dog in need. I can't tell you how much that meant to me at that moment of grief. I ended up donating the bag to my vet so he could give it to another family that needed this specialized (expensive) food for their dog. Very grateful for the kindness and willingness to refund my money, when they truly didn't have to, but were wonderful enough to show compassion during a very difficult time for our family. Thanks again! Will continue to use this company for our pet needs.

    I had a poor experience with one of the dog food brands I had ordered. I then proceeded to write a review stating my dogs wouldn't eat it. Within two days my money had been refunded with a list from Chewy of possible foods I should try that were comparable. My only negative feedback is the autoship. I buy food once a month so I figured every four weeks would be acceptable timing for new food delivery. False. It took me a little while to understand that I needed the food to start delivering every two weeks to receive it in time as it seems they send it on horseback (takes almost 2 weeks for delivery at least in my case). Customer service is fantastic.

    I purchased a dog bed for my 13 year old lab and was unhappy with the quality of the bed. I reviewed the product unfavorably on Chewy.com. I decided not to send the bed back as it would cost too much. A couple days later I received an email from Chewy. They credited my credit card the price of the bed and told me to donate it to local shelter or rescue. Then gave suggestions for possible beds that would work. Can't believe they just credit me the price without being asked. And let me donate it to a rescue. I will definitely try to find another bed.     I am so impressed with this company! I having been ordering my dog food last couple times and it's always prompt. But what really prompted me to write this review was, I called to stop my auto shipment because unfortunately my bulldog passed away yesterday. They stopped it with condolences and then refund my last order because I just got it last week. I was blown away. I wouldn't have even thought to ask. It wasn't their fault!     I have ordered many times from Chewy and each time has been an awesome experience. I order my and it comes in the mail two days later EVERY TIME and is always exactly what I wanted. A couple of days ago, I ordered a prong collar for my 7 mo Shepherd because he is a big boy (~70 lbs) and we are working on some obedience and leash skills. When it came in the mail, I realized it was too big, so I called customer service to ask how I could exchange for a smaller prong. The lady I talked to was SO nice and did the refund/exchange for me over the phone, told me the next collar would be at my house in two days, and then said the other prong that I had could be donated to a local animal shelter. Chewy has always been amazing for me and I just wanted to share my experience because of the amazing customer service I had today! They really have a love for animals that I empathize with!

    Chewy.com has heart! I have been ordering Vet diapers for my German Shepherd Mona, who was injured and paralyzed back in October. Recently, Mona passed away. Then a few days later 2 boxes of which I previously ordered came. I got on the website, and selected the chat. Holly, immediately credited my account, she asked if I would donate them to a local rescue or shelter in memory of Mona? I was more than happy to do! There must have been about a 1 dozen diaper packages too. A few days later I received a beautiful bouquet with a handwritten note from Holly and Chewy family. I am thankful for their family style compassion! Holly had just recently lost her pet as well... It's a very difficult time for both my husband and I. Thank you Holly!     I am only addressing the commercials this online retailer has on TV. The customers on the commercial all are in Love with the Fast 1 to 2 day "Free Shipping" and low prices on their products. Yet instead of being totally honest, and upfront, if a consumer needs glasses to read, and doesn't have a larger screen television, we get taken by the claim of free shipping that every person in the commercial states with enthusiasm. This is all done legally, but it is intentionally misleading, what one doesn't always notice or can't see/read is the statement in "Fine print" on the lower part of the screen. This information doesn't stand out too easily to the viewer in proportion to the whole picture. That free shipping with purchase of $49.00 or more.

    Why do businesses adopt this partial form of concealment? If their prices and products are as good as they & their Customers claim, then there is no issue over paying a shipping fee added on until a certain price is reached. I went to the website to order, because the commercial drew me in, I found my Cat's litter slightly lower priced than the Mass store I generally drive out of town to. My 4 items totaled $38, and then I found that there would be added shipping. I would not have felt misled and disappointed had the company revealed the actual cost, instead of omitting this being verbally mentioned in the commercial. I would have visited the site with the expectation of needing to place an order large enough to get the break on shipping, and been fine with that knowledge.

    But to find this out later, was unexpected & disappointing, I feel that Chewy intentionally designed their commercial to underplay the amount of purchase necessary to receive free shipping with my order. Don't get me wrong, I understand they need to cover shipping charges to a certain point or they would not be able to do business profitably. But as a consumer I respect & appreciate "and" will spend the extra dollars with a company whom I do not feel has misled me. I didn't place my order after all, Honestly, I am not sure I may or may not at a later date. However, if I known previously that a larger order was necessary to receive free shipping I would planned it in my budget and been ready to place my order at that future date.

    NOTE: (I did call Chewy's Customer Service line before clicking on the Customer Reviews link to browse Chewy's ratings. I inquired if Chewy accepts Manufacturer Coupons? And "YES" they accept coupon totaling up to $29.99, Chewy deducts from order total (pre-receipt & Customer is required to mail in coupons on good-faith). If coupon total $30+ Customer is required to mail in coupons in advance, then order is shipped upon receipt.)

    I have not found an online company who does this. This is a huge plus and will save me even more! I also asked if first-time Customers received free shipping.(The answer is NO! ) The associate who handled my call was very pleasant, she was able to answer my many questions and she was very knowledgeable regarding the various items I needed information about. Her handling of the call very much backed up what I viewed in recent customer reviews. Her respect & kindness is much appreciated. Thank you.

    After seeing a fair amount of TV commercials for Chewy.com, my husband and I decided to give it a try. We appreciated the products they offered, the prices and the fact that the shipping dates were honored. But we did not appreciate that our two 14 pound boxes of cat litter came in a wonky box that was difficult to handle and to open. We also did not appreciate that all the important parts of the cat litter boxes (the handles in the spouts) were taped over such that we could not get them undone. Furthermore, there was feces inside the box the cat litter came in. Our cat also became sick on and threw up the toy mice we got her. Both experiences were enough to cause me to stick with the company we usually go with. Won’t be trying to Chewy.com again.

    I been shopping with Chewy for over a year, and it is amazing. Sometimes deliveries get a little in past the 2 days but only by a couple days. I've always gotten what I need in great condition. I've bought treats, creates, shampoos, toys, leashes, collars, cat food, toothpaste for my dog to name a few and all the products have been great. The great part is they are sooo much cheaper than other places for the same products, you don't have to cut the quality when getting it for cheaper and this is what sold me. I just placed a 60 dollar order last night, can't wait till it comes in.

    I placed an order for over $50 on Feb. 7, 2019. Knowing we were going on vacation and I needed the items for my cat to take to her boarding facility, this should have been plenty of time since we were not leaving until Feb 17. The confirmation said should be delivered Feb 14. I was very surprised as their advertising states 1-2 days free shipping. I called Chewy when the box still didn't arrive on the 14th, now the weather has turned bad and they delayed it until after our departure. I had to go out in the big snow and purchase my cat food etc.

    Because of the inconvenience and delays (I didn't receive the box until Feb 25!) the representative from Chewy told me they would send another box so that I would try Chewy again. The other box has never arrived. I asked them why the shipping was originally scheduled 9 days out when it was supposed to be 1-2 days free shipping and never got an answer for that except that they are tired of getting blamed for FedEx's mistakes. I told them it was not FedEx fault when the original invoice from them scheduled it 9 days out. I am still waiting for the promised extra box but am no longer holding my breath. Meanwhile, I will continue to order from Amazon. This is the 3rd time I have tried to order from Chewy and the second time they lied to me.

    My order status delayed and never arrived. I called Chewy to request a refund of my total purchase price. Supervisor was rude, talking over me, interrupting my repeated requests for a refund, and refused to give a refund. I finally screamed “REFUND MY MONEY” five freaking times over the phone in frustration over not being heard or listened to. The Supervisor then says, “Oh I did that five minutes ago!” He then told me he’ll cancel the delivery of the undelivered order - very spitefully. UNBELIEVABLE. Chewy customer service is totally lacking in empathy, ethics, professionalism, and customer service.

    Don't. The service is bottom tier, and they are just another fly-by-night "disruptive" company. Lost two packages in a row and finally getting it was an absolute pain. Never have I worked harder to get some dog toys. Their service is not good, they are all clueless. I sent in tracking info showing the order was "Lost" by LaserShip. Guy on the phone couldn't even comprehend what I was saying. Horrible. And yes, I did just say they use LaserShip. Anyone who has had a package delivered by them (if it makes it) before will know what this means. Any company that uses LaserShip is just saying "We don't even care if you get your order". I'd suggest buying pet food from one of the countless other places and not falling for their "cute" advertisements and social media posts.

    I had to put my precious pug down this past week and I had an order of prescription dog food that was in transit. I called the customer service department and spoke to Juan, a customer service agent, and told him about my situation. He instructed me to accept the order, donate it to a organization that helps animals, and credited the entire amount I paid back to me. Then, as if that wasn't enough, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers the next day with a handwritten card expressing condolences for my loss. I have never known a company that has gone that far to treat its customers with such kindness. Thank you Chewy for serving my pet and me for all the years we used you!

    I placed an order 10 days ago and still have not received it, although they have been paid for it. I've reached out to customer service and been told it must "got lost in the warehouse" then they placed it a second time and I still have not received it but got an email about bad weather... Well... I have had weather too and a train for ordering a delivered product but I had to go through the bad weather to get supplies that you have not been able to deliver via mail. Never will use or recommended this service, there are others to get my business.

    Why doesn't Chewy offer senior discounts? I do not want to be on an autoship program, as I don't have much money or want any auto checking as on a fixed income. Most seniors can't afford your auto ship anyway. Chewy company should really, really offer a senior discount, for the many companion pets out there are owned and pampered for almost every 70% of the senior citizen in population. I think Chewy sales will increase - in the senior citizen market. Thanks for response. I think this issue should be noted out in the reviews - doesn't offer senior discounts. Why?

    Customer Service is almost extinct these days but Chewy.com goes above and beyond to extend service to its customers. I should have been ordering from them a long time ago. I mistakenly placed an order to my old address. I called and they sent the order to my new address the very next day. When you call on the phone you get an actual person, not a recording.     Chewy.com‘s customer service department is beyond exceptional. I have had many good experiences with them. When my cat died, I called to stop my cat order that auto processed every month. They stopped it for me and sent me a bouquet of flowers with a handwritten note with condolences. This is a large company that treats their customers like a local mom and pop shop would, or even better! With returns, they often refund your money and ask you to donate the products to a shelter. This is an upstanding company that gives back to their community as well as their customers. If I could give them more than five stars, I would!

    I called on Saturday, February 23, 2019 to let Chewy know that I had to put my cat down that morning. They went on to tell me how sorry they were for my loss. I advised them that I had a unopened case of yd wet cat food as well as an unopened bag of the dry yd cat food. I was wondering what the return policy would be. I was told to donate the items to a animal hospital or animal shelter of my choice in memory of my cat that passed away. They also said that they would give me a full credit on my credit card ASAP. They also took care of canceling my auto ship with them. Today I received a gift of flowers from them in remembrance of my cat. I was so amazed by such thoughtfulness. Chewy you made my day. You have always been a first class organization since day one when I signed up with you. Thank you.

    I contacted customer service after discovering the item of Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Low Fat Diet dog canned food was going from $64.80 to $76.80. This item is 24 cans of 13oz cans. I have been ordering this item for 3 years. I called customer service to find out the reason for the substantial rise in cost. I was told that it was due to the market based on the pricing of competitors. Cheesy competitors raked the price of this item so Chewy did same thing. There is no posting on Chewy's Website that has this information. My impression is that Chewy is not concerned about their customers but the profit margin. I will research for another alternative.

    I bought $96 worth of pet supplies from Chewy and they decided to place another pending charge $65 on my card including the $96. The "supervisor" told me it was "checks and balances," meanwhile I told him this is a fraudulent charge" and needs to be removed immediately. Another supervisor told me it a deposit for the warehouse. Another one said it was to make sure I had the "funds" in my account. These people don't know what they are saying. I made a 3 way call to them with my bank and an investigation will be done tomorrow. The charges are still on my account after 3 days. This is wrong, you do not charge extra money to an account ever! Beware of this company.

    I had a product on auto-ship called Ocu-GLO vision supplement for dogs. My dog recently passed away and I was not able to open his latest bottle. After calling customer service they assured me they would refund me for the bottle and asked that instead of sending the bottle back in to just donate it to an animal shelter in honor of my dog, Junior.     This is my second purchase of AMERICAN JOURNEY grain free dry dog food. I have fed BLUE BUFFALO for years with great success. However after reading and comparing the ingredients on both products, I decided to give AMERICAN JOURNEY a try as the price is better. Both 24 lb. bags came with at least 1/4 of each bag crumbled into a meal, not pellets. I thought the first time maybe it was a fluke, as the expiration date was good. Second bag is the same way... Got down to the "dust" today. NOT HAPPY... Will continue to buy from Chewy, but I guess price matters here... Never a problem like this with BLUE!!!

    I ordered a litter box when I moved. My order came in on a Tuesday with only the top and no litter pan. I called to see if they could overnight it to me considering it was their mistake. The rep said they don’t do that but since it’s 2 day shipping it shouldn’t be here later than Thursday. It didn’t come Thursday. It then said it would get to my house by the 22nd. I could wait one more day. Well, now on the 23rd, I check my tracking and it’s been pushed back to the 26th. I thought Chewy was convenient but I’ll never shop from them again. Amazon is still better and less expensive. It’s disappointing that a company that’s owned by a multi-billion dollar company (PetSmart) can’t do basic customer service.

    I have ordered from Chewy a couple times before and was satisfied, 1 order had come before I could cancel, called customer service and they refunded my money and told me to donate it to a place of my choice. 2 35 or 40 lbs bags of food. I was very impressed (that was last year). Yesterday I ordered again. I recently got a new pup with a sensitive stomach, I ordered yesterday around 9 am, the food was on my doorstep by 2 PM today!     Chewy.com does not guarantee or honor 1-2 day shipping and will give every excuse as to why the package cannot be received in that time frame when you inquire. Another thing that bothers me as an evaluator of reviews is that so many of their reviews are bogus. Any analyst will tell you this, so their dishonesty is disappointing.

    I've been aiming to write a review regarding the experience I had with the customer service team. My dog Bella passed away in December of 2018 and I contacted customer service to see about returning unused medicine that I had ordered from them because I hated to just throw it away. I received an email shortly afterwards stating they would refund my money. I spoke with 3 different people who all were so friendly and offered their condolences for the loss of my sweet Bella. I also received the most beautiful red roses delivered to my home. It takes a very special group of people to offer the kindness that I received during my time of need.     I have never had a horrific experience as I have with Chewy.com. I will never recommend this company and will do everything in my power to post my experience with your company out on the web. Because of your company, we could have lost our dog to diabetes. On Saturday, he was diagnosed with diabetes. His levels were at the highest point. The vet told us what insulin to order from your company and we placed the order that Saturday night. We received the email that you sent approval to our vet. Our vet went in on her day off on Sunday and did not receive that fax.

    Move onto Monday. We called and the approval form was faxed again. We were on the phone with our vet and they had not received it. We let the rep know. She called me back and let me know that the other rep was talking to the vet for approval over the phone and that the insulin would be shipped overnight for Tuesday delivery. Move onto Tuesday. Shipping was still showing pending on your website. I call and the rep could not find the order. She found the order and apologized but it did not get shipped. She states she fixed it and was going to be sent over night for Wednesday delivery.

    Move onto Wednesday. I get a call about our dog and we have to get him to the vet. He was very sick. As I am rushing to get him, I check the website and the order shipped but is now being delivered on Friday. I call customer service. The rep hesitated and put me on hold for quite some time. He comes back on and told me it was not sent overnight but standard delivery.

    I asked for the lead immediately. Bernard, I believe was his name was so kind and very apologetic and looked into the problem. Yet, again the previous reps had told me incorrectly as they are not able to approve overnight shipping. He reordered for Thursday delivery at no charge. We will make arrangements on the delivery that I will get on Friday to return. I get this confirmation while I am at the vet with our dog. Our vet’s office was shocked that I have had these issues. They did not trust your company for the delivery and our dog can no longer wait. They ordered the insulin from their distributor around 4:00 pm on that day.

    Move onto Thursday. I check Chewy.com to see when the insulin will be here so I could leave work to get it off our porch. What do I see, shipment pending. I call customer service and the rep checks status and pauses. I say, "Are you kidding me." She says, "Oh wait. It shipped." I asked for the status so I can track it. She said, "Believe it or not, what you see is what we see." It takes 24-48 hours for their shipping status to update. She offered to call FedEx though and track it and call me back. I asked her to get the approximate time it would drop off. She states she can’t get that information as she doesn’t have access. Let me ask you this, if she has no access to any of this information how is she going to call FedEx?

    I waited a couple hours and did not hear from her so I called again. The rep stated, "I’m so sorry." I interrupted him because I was livid. I told him, "If our dog dies it’s on all of you and I will get an attorney because of all the promises and lies that I have received from your company." I have never threatened with an attorney because I do not believe in it. But, you obviously do not care about our dog. I asked for your manager.

    The next manager apologized again and stated this is not the way our company treats their customers and to give him a minute to investigate this problem this time. I have to say this gentleman took me cussing at him like a champ because I was so mad and I started to cry. He came back and said Bernard did get that order in for overnight shipping but the Pharmacy did not ship it because, wait for it. They were out of dry ice. You have to be kidding me. I’m sure I’m not the only customer that would have insulin going out. He refunded me back the charge of the 1st insulin that we are to receive tomorrow. At this time, I do not plan on sending it back because you don’t have time to take care of my needs adequately so I will not have time to return your product.

    I have put more time and energy into this that I ever should have. Our dog should have started his insulin on Tuesday. It is now Thursday and I haven’t received anything from your company. However, my vet that ordered on Wednesday at 4:00 as stated above received our insulin at 8:45 am today, Thursday.

    I used to manage customer service for 10+ years and am now a Human Resource Manager and I will tell you this, these reps would not be employed today, except for Bernard and the two gentlemen today. All the other reps are a disgrace to your company. I have already started to put reviews out on your company and spread the word to everyone I know. They will know that it’s definitely not about customer service at your company and the life of a beloved animal is not worthy of your time.

    I placed an order for dog food and supplies, got an email stating order was being processed. Seen they took the money out of my account. Thinking all was good and that I would be getting my order, to my surprise I got an email this morning telling me that my address was used previously for an order so I do not qualify for the auto-ship discount and that they cancelled my order. I called and emailed asking what was going on and all they would say is, "We did so digging and seen that your address had a previous auto-ship account that was cancelled." So they cancelled my order. So, if you live somewhere and someone else did auto-ship you do not get the discount and they just cancel your order and never would answer me as to when the money would be going into my account.

    Recently my dog passed away, I contacted Chewy company about returning an unopened package. They were very helpful and told me not to worry. They would refund me my money and to donate their product. Not only did they help me with the unused dog food they sent me flowers with their condolences. I am very impressed.     I use Chewy and have only had one previous negative experience, which was because of FedEx delivering to the wrong house not anything Chewy did wrong. I understand that systems are automated, however they are deceiving. My last order stated "shipped" although this was not correct, the order did not ship, Chewy only generated the order with FedEx, but did not physically ship the shipment. Previous orders used to deliver in 24 hours (sometimes 48), but the shipping now is 3 days.

    I then tried to use the "chat online" service to ask if the shipping has changed, I was connected to someone named "David" I asked my questions and he never replied. I need to go to the pet store to get food until the order arrives. This defeats the purpose of the convenience of using Chewy, and the face to face customer service at my local store beats the online lack of service Chewy provides. I think I will go back to supporting my local pet store instead of using a company that appears to be getting too big to provide the excellent customer service they used to.

    I have ordered a few times from Chewy, it's always been super fast shipping. After my last order I received a package from Chewy. I was like, "Hmmm, what is this?" They sent me a personalized, handwritten, NOT generic, card thanking me for my business AND a commissioned 6x6 original painting of my Doberman, not any generic dobe, but one of a picture I have posted online.     I decided to give Chewy.com a try when I bought a new puppy. They had an exercise pen I wanted that was $79 in Petco but $25 on their website. So I placed an order for the pen and two other items. The very next day two of the items were delivered. I was blown away by the super fast shipment and delivery process. But when I checked my email, I saw that the last item wouldn't be delivered for 7 more days.

    Out of curiosity, I messaged Chewy on Facebook to inquire about the different shipment times. They immediately responded, checked into my order within 10 minutes and then refunded my money and told me to keep the item when it arrived! Apparently the delay was weather related and the warehouse closest to me didn't have the item I wanted in stock. Not Chewy's fault. However, they expressed concern for my pup not having his necessities and wanted to make it right. The rep even asked for pics of my baby and gushed over him. I will do all pet related business with them. Thanks Chewy! I'm blown away by the 5 star stellar service!

    We have three dogs and two cats now, and a few days ago we bought a special puppy, who requires special care and supplies, so we asked around and read reviews and decided to go with Chewy for our dog care and training supplies. I work 3rd shift, so I made my order, around $250. Order, for a new collar, leash, bowls, training leashes, lines, and a kennel. I paid online with a debit card, I work 3rd and sleep during the day. Order was completed. Three days later I see an email from Chewy, that I needed to call them about my order... I called, And WAS TOLD MY ORDER WAS CANCELLED, I ASKED WHY, ALL THEY SAID WAS BECAUSE I DIDN'T RESPOND TO THEM WITHIN 48 HOURS!!!

    THANKS A LOT FOR NOTHING...THEY HAD MY Money AND cancelled MY ORDER, without even calling to talk with me. I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT PROBLEM THEY HAD, and I was told it would be 24-48 hours before my money could be refunded. I was furious, and very Disappointed. I spent hours making up my order, and do think they have good supplies and prices, but I WILL NEVER use them again... Someone else will get my business. Chewy lost out on a lot of money over time. I lost what I had THOUGHT was a great online supply. Sad and disappointed??? Still waiting on my money to be refunded.

    I'm still a little stunned, but I was on Chewy inquiring (by chat) with the Customer Service Rep about exchanging some cat food, chicken flavor, for the same cat food, turkey flavor. (My cats may be allergic.) Instead of exchanging or returning, the rep gave me a refund and asked that the cans of chicken flavor be donated to a local shelter. How cool is that? I liked Chewy anyway because of the low prices but this makes them even better.

    I have used Chewy for all my dogs' food and supplies for several years. I recently started to use the Chewy pharmacy for their Heartguard and flea meds. I placed my order and then one of my dogs took a turn for the worse and passed away. The next day I received her meds. I called and asked if I was able to return the product since she passed away. The first words out of the customer service representative was condolences. He immediately processed a refund and told me to donate the product to a rescue, which I did. Four days later I received a bouquet of flowers with a sympathy note from Chewy. Amazing guest service and concern!

    Well I ordered after couple of questions the Musher’s secret wax for my dogs. That product is great and it definitely matches what they told me.     Started using Chewy a couple months ago, as the tractor supply that sells my dog food is a one hour round trip drive for me. Chewy is about $10 more expensive, even with their 5% autoship discount, but I didn't have to worry about making the drive. I received an email on 2/11 stating that my 30 pound bag of dog food was no longer available and they were replacing it with a 28 pound bag of the same kind to ensure my order was received on time. They charged my card for the 30 pound bag and I never received anything. Currently awaiting a response from their customer service department. I would not recommend the use of this site to anyone.

    Chewy.com is a great company. I just lost my two fur babies in a four month time span, they were 18 and 19. I emailed customer service and said I needed to cancel my autoship because my pups had passed, they emailed me right away with a great condolence letter and then a week later I had a beautiful bouquet of flowers sent to my home. Brightened my day, great customer service during my sad days without my companions! Thank you Chewy, I will be back soon, there will be a new fur baby soon!

    Chewy won't do business with you if you try to pay for your order with a gift card. I first tried to place an order on February 8, 2019. The thank you screen informed me my order had been accepted. The next day, I receive an email that my order had been canceled. I called to find out why and was informed the issue was with my gift card. "We just needed you to call to verify some things." is what the customer service rep told me over the phone.

    What? I was told I had to wait 24 hours before I could call them again to resolve the issue. Why can't I do it right now? No explanation. I attempted to place my order today. The card is outright declined. Call customer service and Dixie called over his supervisor who told him I can use a gift card as long as it's Visa or MasterCard (It is) but the address has to match. What address? It's a GIFT CARD. They then tell me to call the gift card company to ask them how to resolve this, and "We'll wait for you to do that." The gift card company is completely automated, no customer service.

    I call Chewy again and get Jocelyn, who calls me back because my phone connection was bad. She calls me back and I try to explain the problem and she hangs up on me. I call a third time and get Beth who informs me I have no order with them. So the outcome is don't use a gift card with Chewy even when they tell you they accept gift cards. They don't. Find another store to buy your pet supplies. Chewy doesn't want your business.

    I've been a customer of Chewy.com for 2 years. The service was wonderful for the first year. More recently though the shipments have arrived with damaged contents. The items - litter, cases of canned food, dry food- are tossed into a box with no filler and the litter bag isn't wrapped. I've now had 3 shipments with torn litter bags and messes from the litter dribbling out of the box. The litter is thrown on top of the cans and rips. I've also had the bags of dry food smashed from the cases of wet food. And I've had the cans smashed and leaking.

    Is some of this due to FedEx? Maybe. But when the litter bag isn't wrapped (I've seen other companies do this to prevent ripping) and there isn't any filler so the items roll around I have to mostly fault the Chewy shippers. Every time I have a damaged shipment, Chewy customer service promises that the next shipment will be packaged appropriately. Not so. I'd love to stick with Chewy as I know they are aware of their shipper problems and (maybe) trying to rectify the problems but there are other pet supply delivery companies.

    I always thought Chewy.com was the be all and end all pet food company. The top in customer service that all companies should model themselves after. Unbelievable speedy delivery service. However, something must have changed with their shipping/delivery department within the last few months. Now when I place an order it takes longer than usual, plus the shipping estimates are wrong. I placed an order on the 2/8 and tracking told me I would receive it on 2/11 Monday. I did not receive it on the 11th so I checked tracking. Tracking showed a delivery date now for the 12th. My dogs were out of their kibble and did not want to switch them to another brand locally purchased.

    I called customer service and a man told me that they do not deliver on Mondays. Why not, doesn't FedEx work on Mondays? How bizarre is that? In the past I would receive my shipment in 1 business day if ordered in the morning, I think Chewy was acquired by another company, thus the sudden change in service. I still love Chewy but they should advise customers, who purchase from them on a consistent basis, that delivery will take longer than prior to 2019. I've been spoiled by Chewy.com in the past, and now will have to adjust my ordering schedule. All good things do come to an end.

    I have been a customer for about a year now, mostly purchasing a 9 lb bag of Oxbow Western Timothy hay, for my rabbit, every 2 months. Shipping is always on time, I get what I asked for, no problems. The most recent bag was not of the normal quality - a lot of dead, brown, shriveled hay - and my rabbit was only eating half of it, if that. I called the customer service line, where I was connected within seconds. A very friendly voice answered the phone and listened to my issue. She offered a full refund, and I asked if we could just get another bag. She said no problem, and placed the order right away! The whole thing took 4 minutes tops! I am very pleased! Thanks Melanie! FYI: I don’t blame Chewy for the bad hay - they obviously don’t make or bag the hay! So it makes their actions all the more impressive to me!

    I had a standing automatic order for doggie diapers for our Maltese/Bichon mix. We had to put him down so I called to cancel future shipments. They immediately said they will refund the entire cost of our last shipment even before I could ask if I could return the unopened packages for refund. We always got the shipments on time. Best customer service I've experienced. Also the price was about half of the same quality product than at Pet Smart, and no shipping charges. I highly recommend this company!!!

    Hi, I have always been Leary of online shopping but Chewy.com is GREAT. My dogs are very spoiled and will only eat USA treat (my doing). But the treats from China are scary. Do some research. I saved $4.00 per bag on Milo's treats. And the other treats chicken & sweet potato jerky about $1.24 per bag. True Chews about $2.39 a bag. Told you they are spoiled. Usually 2 day shipping. But order ahead of time if you are running low. FedEx driver could run off the road or lose your package. Think ahead. Love this company ❤️ and my boys are thrilled too. Thanks to all at Chewy!

    I had seen the commercials for Chewy and they say they offer free shipping if you spend over $45. Great. When you go to Chewy.com website it says you will receive it in 1-2 days. Great again. NOT great. After they debited the money from my account, they said it shipped. It shipped on the 8th and now I get a message I won't get it until the 12th. I may not be too good at math but that is NOT 2 days. My dogs will be out of food in 4 days. I ONLY ordered based on the max 2 days delivery.

    When I contacted Chewy they basically said they don't control their own shipping. They let FedEx and other shippers determine the shipping times. They also went into some song and dance that they don't control if it comes out of their Pheonix or Nevada warehouse. One creates longer shipping times. I don't care. Not my problem. Get your business together. Umm... The shippers control your company? NOT acceptable. They said that FedEx home doesn't deliver on Sundays or Mondays. Again. NO mention of that on their website. They then offered to wait for Fedex to ship it back to them and ONLY then could they return my money. Umm... no again.

    At this point, I'm sure I would never see my refund and they would blame it on the shippers again. Pathetic. Buyer beware, they will scam and lie to you to get your business and then you and your fur babies are on their own. Unethical company or at the very least extremely unprofessional and uncaring about their customers. Fool me once, shame on you. I won't be fooled twice!

    Recently the website was out of stock of the 5.5 oz cat food cans that we usually buy, so I bought the larger cans of the same food instead. The cats would NOT eat the replacement at all, even though it's the same exact food. It only took a 2-minute phone call to receive a full refund, and the rep told me to donate the leftover cans to charity! I was then able to order the food in the proper cans immediately, as it was back in stock. It took only a day to arrive!

    I just have to write this review. Chewy is a fantastic company. They go an extra mile to provide an outstanding customer service. They refunded my entire order no questions asked and didn't ask to ship anything back! I was just offered to donate the goods to my local shelter instead, if I didn't want to keep it. I ordered a pet harness for my puppy as he is disabled and cannot use his hind legs to walk and we thought this might help. I ordered a medium size and got it and it was too big and actually didnt work well anyway. I did online chat with a rep named Mesiyah to find out how to send it back. She instantly gave me a 47.66 credit on my Visa and said I don't need to return it and please donate to a local shelter if I can.     My beloved furbaby passed away. I had just received a new bag of dog food two days prior and I had not even opened the box yet. I contacted Chewy to see if I could return it for credit. They told me they would refund the entire order and to donate the food to a shelter or rescue group. They also cancelled all my autoships I had as well. They expressed their sympathy and I felt they meant it. 5 days later I received a bouquet of roses from Chewy with a sympathy note signed by the person I had spoken with. Talk about a company that cares for their customers! This is it. I will be singing their praises to everyone I can.

    I placed an order on the 28th of January 2019. I waited for the order to come in but never received it. I texted the company website and they told me my order was cancelled and my account was closed. They said I would have to call them for further information so I did. They said that because it was my first order they would have to confirm it with me by the e-mail that they sent but the problem was they never sent an e-mail about this. I have never experienced a company needing more than your money to purchase a product. I was treated very poorly and I believe unfairly. That being the case for me I will NEVER EVER use Chewy.com again and I will let everyone I work with and the people that I know what happened. Stay away. There are too many people to purchase the same products from.

    Chewy.com guarantees 100% satisfaction. They also claim to have free one or two day shipping on orders over $49. Neither of these claims/guarantees are true. I placed an order two days ago, expecting it to arrive today. I looked online at the status of the order and found that it was still "preparing for shipment." I contacted Chewy.com to find out why my order was still preparing for shipment and they said there is an issue with an auto ship discount so they haven't processed my order.

    They never bothered to call me, send an email, put a note on my account, or make any contact. All I have heard from them is "I am sorry no notification was sent. I will research this." I do not have my products and now have cancelled the order. Since being taken over by PetSmart, I have received expired products, shipping delays, terrible customer service, and prices have greatly increased. I am not a satisfied customer and would not recommend chewy.com to anyone, and I always did in the past.

    I have two, humongous dogs, and started using Chewy several years ago after finding the best prices on premium dog foods and more. Since then along with food, I have purchased everything from leashes and harnesses to raised dog bowls, vitamins and more. No online service is perfect - I won a service business, and I know that, try as one might, NO service is perfect all the time. But what's remarkable and appreciated is that, when something goes awry with an order, Chewy not only fixes it fast and without a hassle, but their turnaround to get the right products into my hands is pretty mind-blowing.

    Kudos to Chewy! The other thing that is MUCH appreciated is the fact that, when I call, a real, live human being answers (almost immediately) and gets right into my need or problem - no voice-activated phone stress that can't understand me or that require me to yell for a representative 15 times before they give me over to a live body. Chewy... I'm really impressed!

    I had a horrible experience dealing with Chewy's customer service team. I can only receive mail at a PO Box, which they refuse to ship to, or at my office. Though companies other than USPS can deliver to my office, they are unable to guarantee that the item would arrive during business hours. It's a huge hassle to have an item fail to be delivered, be bounced back to the company, and have to fight for a refund! I highly, highly recommend shopping elsewhere.

    I placed an order through Chewy.com for 102.50 as my first experience with Chewy.com. Immediately a charge was authorized for 103.48. Not a huge deal, but this is not what I spent so I was a little confused but decided to let it go. My order was then placed on hold, forcing me to call the company. The representative tells me that they "changed an item number" and that she would remove the hold. Then I receive ANOTHER charge on my card for $52.14 which nearly put my card in overdraft as this is the same card I was using to pay bills with. So now I have two debits that have left my card, neither of which are the amount I actually paid. I call the company. I am told that when things are shipped separately sometimes the card is debited as things leave the warehouse and that it should come back in 24 hours.

    Keep in mind that I do a LOT of online shopping and have never, ever, had a company charge so many debits for my order! Walmart, Jet, and Amazon just to name a few will charge you what you SPENT and that is all. Another $50 debit, and four days later, the original "hold" that was taken is credited back to my card. Two emails and several useless apologies later, and I am never using this company again. I shop for my pets constantly, and was loving the autoship idea as I buy food for my dog roughly every two weeks. I have never had such an awful experience with a company before, and I will definitely be returning my business to Jet.com or Amazon from now on.

    I was very excited to start an account and have auto shipment for my 2 dogs' and cat’s supplies. I reviewed the website, read all of the FAQ’s, got a good feeling this was going to be an excellent service so I pulled the trigger and ordered. I understood that I would receive my dog food and cat litter in 1-2 days...it’s all over the website, 1-2 days. I just called to cancel the order because it is 5 days later and still no delivery. I used the FedEx link to track the package and the link showed the food was going to be delivered end of day for 2 consecutive days... nope, no delivery.

    When I called, the customer service rep explained that FedEx home delivery doesn’t pick up on Saturday and doesn’t deliver on Sunday or Monday... what? So if Chewy.com knows that an order placed on a Friday afternoon won’t be delivered until 5 days later, how do they represent 1-2 days delivery? I am so disappointed. If there had been anything, anywhere on the website to explain their shipping limitations, I would have planned accordingly and Chewy.com would have had a loyal customer. They got 1 star because, while a bit dismissive, the customer service rep did say they would refund my money (I had to buy food and litter as we ran out by Monday morning) without me asking. Disappointing experience.

    I was very touched when I received in the mail a pair of oil paintings of my two dogs (a Border Collie and an Australian Shepherd). When my Border Collie had to be put to sleep about a week later they sent a touching sympathy email and then sent a neat kit from Seeds of Life to grow an oak tree in memory of my beloved companion of over 12 years. They are company who really cares about their customers. I love this company.

    I have been ordering from Chewy going on 3 years. I always get same order and it's autoshipped. I ordered Purina 9 Lives dry cat food tuna flavored. Apparently there was a recall on this food and I did not find out until after my cats ate this. They were all violently ill with vomiting and diarrhea. I had to take them to the vet and after 5 days they finally stopped being ill. The pet food recall stated it can cause death in animals according to many websites. They did not bother to take these products off their shelves or from warehouses and dispatched it to us anyways. No apologies or anything.

    I had to contact Purina and all they gave me was a coupon for another bag of the same food that made my animals sick in the first place. So after this I wanted to cancel my new order which they haven't even shipped yet and they would not let me. I'm so mad right now. I will never go back to them. My neighbor also canceled her autoship due to sick animals because she bought same food as me. Bad experience followed by vet bills.

    5 years of convenience. Even when there was an issue when my dog couldn't use product. There is a generous policy of contributing to shelter... Lovely! My pet passed this week (heartache); Chewy sent flowers to our home; surprises & heartfelt gesture. Chewy is more than a business to me!

    I am extremely impressed with Chewy.com customer service. I purchased the wrong replacement dog door. I called to see what I need to do to return it. The young man helping me was so pleasant and helpful. They are refunding my purchase and asked that I donate the return to an animal shelter. What a great response. Highly recommend Chewy.com.

    First time customer on the website, got told I couldn't have the discount and they cancelled my order because I wasn't a new customer even though I literally made my account to order the items I wanted, and of course they take the money out of my account but I bet it won't be put back for weeks. This company is trash and I would give them 0 stars if it was possible. Never ordering from them again and telling everyone I can to not order from them, very shady practice taking people's money then cancelling their order like that.

    I recently returned to Chewy (after having left them due to the Petsmart merger) because they carry ** and one can combine pharmacy items with other products for free shipping. Basically, economic necessity and my cat's recent diagnosis of congestive heart failure pushed me back to Chewy. Unfortunately,.. 1. They can't seem to keep ** in stock, and there's no option to choose "backorder" or "notify me".

    2. They filled and sent my autoship order a day early. Not even by accident, but DELIBERATELY. It's their "new system", and I was advised to schedule my future autoships for the day after I actually want them sent. Because I had scheduled my shipment for the day I get my social security payment, the early shipment caused an insufficient funds charge in my bank account. It seems like their that their new system could be illegal, absolutely sure that it's stupid. I have cancelled my autoship and removed my debit card information from their system. This completely destroyed my remaining trust in Chewy. In the past I have had positive customer service experiences with them, so I understand the 5 star reviews here. I wish I could still provide one of my own.

    I had placed an order on Friday and it unfortunately my precious daughter passed away the next day on Saturday. I contacted the company to find out the procedure to return the item and received a response promptly. The note was from Catherine in customer service. She offered such heartfelt condolences and I could just feel the love coming from her in her letter. Not only did she answer my question but the following day I received a bouquet of flowers with a beautiful note. My dog was not only a pet but was like my child. He was 15 years old and was my constant companion. This type of service is so rare and I wanted to thank Chewy.com and in particular Catherine for your commitment to offering the best products for our pets and to excellent customer service. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    I purchased a promotion of dry dog food “buy one get one free” but at the time to receive the items I notice they was charging a full price for each of the items on promotion. When I call they don’t offer to fix or respect the offer because according them the promotion was end the day items was shipped instead they said if I don’t like it I have to returned the items then they send me a email with a return label without the label to ship items back to them.

    Their email said “We know how disappointing it can be to receive an item that just doesn't work” but Item Works fine. The problem was the advantage to the customers. The company have no respect to customers when the company don’t follow their own deals and promotions and charging as a normal price. I know many company thinks “Who cares. Some people they don’t even notice we charge a full price on promotions as buy one get one free.” I want to make a formal complain about this disrespectful situation but they don’t care.

    I have had only a few issues when ordering. When I contact them they respond quickly and replace items, no questions asked. I had an issue where FedEx said they delivered but there were no packages. I still don't know if they delivered to the correct address or boxes were stolen, I have never had this issue before. FedEx still hasn't answered me but I contacted Chewy and they replaced all missing items. The best part was I called late Friday and was anticipating replacements Tuesday because of the time and their schedule. However the replacements arrived the very next day. I love this website. I have 4 cats and a dog and transitioned them all to American Journey wet food. It's highly rated, well priced, and only available there. They even sent me portraits of my pets after one bad delivery. They promptly replaced the items but shortly thereafter I received painted portraits! Thanks for all you do Chewy.com!

    We had trouble with FedEx delivering - had NOTHING TO DO WITH CHEWY - but Chewy stepped in every way they could to make sure we got what we needed while we waited for FedEx to catch up. WOULD RECOMMEND CHEWY WITHOUT QUESTION to any of my friends, family and anyone I should meet in the future. Best selection and great prices but BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

    I have been waiting two weeks for my dog's heart medication to be delivered. Customer service assured me my dog's heart medication would be sent out but I keep getting emails from the pharmacy the next day saying they need my vet's permission. This went on for three days even though they already had my vet's permission in writing. I finally had my vet call them and they agreed to have the meds expedited to me. It's been a week and they're still not here! I called Chewy an hour before my vet closed today and they assured me the pills would be delivered TODAY. I just got an email saying they're delayed and now my vet is closed so I can't get them and I'm out! These are heart pills my dog needs! Customer service should not promise medications will be sent out if they don't know for sure and the pharmacy needs to get it together!

    I recently decided that I need to transition my cats to grain free wet food. I carelessly placed a large order with Chewy only to discover they will not eat this brand. I got a return label and sent 90% of it back. Chewy gave me a full refund. I've been using them a few months and I am impressed with their prices, selection, fast shipping, and most importantly to me, their "above and beyond" helpfulness. I highly recommend them.

    They claim 1-2 day shipping on all orders. I've ordered twice and have had to wait 5 days for my dog's food. You're better off using Amazon. When I called all they could tell me was that there was no food close to my location. Ok, so don't claim is 1-2 day shipping on all orders. I understand this happening once but both times I've ordered? Ridiculous. I'm not going to keep guessing how long my dog's food is going to take to get here.

    I called Chewy.com last week on the day we unexpectedly lost our 6 year old pug Cocoa. I cancelled an autoship order I just restarted up a few month ago. I got their representative Tyler who took this grief riddled same day call to you to cancel the autoship order and thank him for Chewy being there for us. He was so nice on the phone. I told him I worked as a large emergency veterinary hospital and I was usually on his side of grief or angry phone calls. I thanked him for his compassion and kindness. Today, I received a dozen roses from Chewy delivered to my door. I wanted to thank you greatly. As this is the day we will be picking up Cocoa's ashes of cremation, the timing of their thoughtfulness is treasured. Thank you Chewy, Tyler, and all the wonderful people there for caring about Cocoa's family.

    I know everyone has different experiences but I just called Chewy to return $20 worth of stuff and they asked me if I could donate them, i.e. they're still gonna refund me $20 but I can give the items to shelters, etc. I know $20 is not a lot, but I mean... HOW AWESOME IS THAT? I literally googled "how to review Chewy" just to write this review. P/s: I've bought so many stuff from Chewy and they've all been great so far. These items I want to return because they don't fit my cat. Not that there's anything wrong with it.

    I have always given my cats Friskies wet and dry food (mostly chicken, reg. and indoor), they never refused it. Since I received the Friskies from Chewy, they won't eat any of it, they barely sniff it and walk away. How old is this stuff and where does it come from?
