I had place and order with Chewy.com and notice that I had 4 charges total. The original charge of $68.91. The other 3 extra charge were added. Scared the hell out of me. Thinking someone stole my card. I decided to call Chewy cause I didn't see those extra 3 charges in the app. On the 68.91. They said the first original was charge and then the other 3 separate charges of the item were billed separately. Eventually it should go away in couple of days later. They had withdrawn double the amount. I told her that it was illegal and without my consent that was stealing without my permission. In California I would of report it as fraudulent and it does not specified that they could double to see if I had any funds. Maybe that's what you guys do in Florida but here it's illegal. She recognized that I was right. But that's what they do.
Just because I do care for my pets I'm gonna see if they return the money. She said they will do it again even if its authorship they will do it again. Imagine if I only had 80 dollars in my acct. and they overdraft my account. Just saying. Not going to re order again without my authorizing go double my money to see if I have funds. None of their business. There was a bill of total and it should be respected.

I received a package from Chewy.com and I didn’t know what it was because I’ve already received my dog's medication so I opened it. WOW THIS MADE MY DAY. Daylo have put me through some things over the last 3 month. He’s old arthritis in three legs, cancer can’t or won’t go up the doggie ramp, lost his hearing. I’ve cried way too many times because it’s hard to see him like this but then his good days come and I say “He’s ok”, I know he’s not, but today I’m ok. I got this package and I opened it WOW, I see a portrait of my Daylo. No bill, no notice just a portrait of Daylo on a canvas, that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you.

I've been using Chewy.com for almost 2 years now. This is the second time I had a issue with Chewy Pharmacy. If you like the short version of this review, just scroll down. I've placed an ordered on Interceptor Plus and Simparica for my dog on Monday 11/11 and was expecting to receive it on Friday or Saturday. On Thursday 11/14 at 12pm, I've received an email from chewy.com - One of the medication (Simparica) has not yet been approved by my dog veterinarian so therefore they will cancel this medication from my order within 24 hours.
I went on ahead and contacted my pet hospital to see what's going on. It turns out Chewy only send out one email for the interceptor Plus on Tuesday 11/12 at 11:15am (which was approved on the same day). Chewy later on send out another email to my veterinarian requesting for the Simparica on Thursday 11/14 at 8:40am. I've ended up contacting Chewy at 5pm on 11/14 to place a note to "not cancel my order". The representative that was assisting me was kind and helpful. She also contacted the pharmacy department and placed two notes on my account to delay the cancellation for the Simparica.
The next day 11/15 I've received another email at 10:20am in regards to removing the simparica from my order since it hasn't been approved. I ended up calling Chewy again and explaining that I do not want the Simparica to be remove from the order. The representative that was assisting me at this time contacted the pharmacy again. She said the Interceptor Plus would be sent out first then the Simparica would be send out afterward. I got another call from chewy pharmacy around 11:05am 11/15, I have no idea what's the point of this call but there wasn't any new update and had to explain my situation again..
About an hour later, I've missed a call from Chewy at 12:13pm. The representative left a voicemail in regards to canceling my entire order because they wanted to ship both medications out together. I called Chewy and explained to them that I never once asked to cancel my order. The representative placed me on hold again to contact the pharmacy. The representative returned back on the line and immediately hung up..
I called chewy back after the last representative hung up on me. I had to explain the entire situation to a new representative again. At this point, I've asked the representative if there's any way to keep that order since I never once ask to cancel the order. In addition, Chewy has already charged me since Monday 11/11. Unfortunately that wasn't an option and I would have to reorder everything again which will charge me another $96.02 for the Simparica and Interceptor Plus. The representative then focus on the refund process for my order and mentioned it would take 2 business day.
Overall, my recent order with Chewy has been the worst experience and a waste of time - more than 5 phone calls with chewy and have gotten nowhere. I would actually rank this next to Comcast services. You're better off purchasing your pet medication at your local pet hospital then going through this headache. I hope this review helps anyone who is considering or thinking about doing business with Chewy RX (Pharmacy).

After over a decade of dedicated service with Chewy, sadly discontinuing service as the company seems to have changed hands or ownership. Extremely disappointed to have reported numerous issues with Chewy in regards to NJ Fed Ex Home Delivery service that have gone unresolved and Chewy is unable to correct. Packages instructed to shipper to be left under covered protection of front door have been continually ignored and shipper leaves a few feet away for convenience dumped in the driveway up against garage doors blocking access and leaving packages exposed to sun, rain/snow, theft. Numerous attempts to Chewy to resolve with shipper have been unresolved and lacked demonstrated sense of urgency. The loss of a long-time customer is unimportant to Chewy to resolve with their dedicated shipping service in NJ. Completely disappointed in shipping resources and lack of alternate service to select.

I purchased several sweaters for our dogs, unfortunately, they were much too big. I contacted Chewy.com and they took care of refunding the purchase price immediately. I am very pleased with this company and will buy from them again.

I have placed several orders through Chewy.com and I'm very pleased. They always have the best prices and orders are always received timely sometimes even the next day. If ever an issue - which I've had a few (my fault) - they gladly assist and resolve the issue. Also FYI PetSmart price matches Chewy.com since I believe they are partners????

I have had a couple orders wherein the product was substandard; one case was a dented can, another involved dog combs that indicated "fine teeth" but arrived with widely spaced teeth. In both cases, Chewy went over and beyond other companies with which I've dealt, and they have sold me on their desire to please their customers. Best of all, I just found out they're publicly traded! GO CHEWY!!!!

I bought a no-pull harness for my dog and then decided she really didn't pull and it seemed like overkill. So, with buyer's remorse, I asked Chewy.com about returning it and they responded quickly with return instructions. Somehow, though, the harness got mixed in with my hat and glove box and got put away for the summer! Just pulled out the box and found the harness, tags still on. So 8 months after purchase, I wrote an email to Chewy.com, with some embarrassment, asking if I might still return it. I got an email back in FIVE MINUTES letting me know that credit was applied! And then they told me that instead of mailing it back I should donate it to a shelter! They said it was a good opportunity to pay it forward and help pets in need. I always liked Chewy.com, but now I LOVE THEM!

If you have a bigger shipment then they will break up the cost and take it out of your account that way. I suggest don't worry if it says an off amount was charged. As long as it is still pending then it's okay. Once the item is shipped and delivered it fixes itself. Also, they can't do anything while it's still pending. But they got really fast and friendly customer service. I had to email about this and my email had an error and I thought never sent but did. It did but it took like two days. They emailed back and I responded and we had a whole convo. No more than 9 mins to respond back. Anyway, I thought my original email didn't go through so I called. They picked up right away. I thought I would have time to figure out what I was going to say. Lol. The man was super nice and helpful. I love this site so much.

I ordered a lot of different things from Chewy for my tortoise and one item came broken. I emailed them and they got me a replacement the next day. They have a large variety of different things for all sorts of animals. I was disappointed at first but then I was impressed when I had a replacement less than 24 hours later.

Placed an order on a Friday evening. The money came out of our account as expected. This was a larger order. Spend over $100. The next morning find out they had taken another $36 out of our account. Called customer service. The man we spoke to said there was nothing he could do. To wait till Monday and the money would be back in our account. Called back and spoke to someone else. This time was told they had fixed the mistake and the money would be back in our account in just a few hours. Waited the few hours and checked our account. They had taken another $56 dollars out this time. I called back and the lady told me that when I placed my order they did not have it in stock at the shipping facility. They had to break it up into 3 shipments. She continued to tell me that when this happens they automatically charge your card again for each amount. That after it ships they release the hold.
I have now been charged 3 times and only approved 1. I then spoke to a manager and was told they had already lifted the pending charges. Two days later still not back on my account. I called the bank as they had requested. Called chewy back to let them know that they still have not released the extra charges. I am now being told they will in 48 hours. I will not use a company that thinks it is okay to charge whatever they want without authorization. I have been told whatever they can to get me off the phone. At one point I was on hold for 40 min. This was so she could track her manager down.
My point is. It is not the customer's responsibility to endure the cost for their company. When I asked where did I agree to this was told to read the faq section on their sight. I have done so and still have not found that. I was told that was to much information to put on an order form in a disclaimer. The fact is they know no one would agree to being charged double for an order because they are low on stock.

We have been going through Chewy.com for years and they are absolutely phenomenal. Their customer service is tentative and so kind! They're understanding and put the customer/animals first. Their response is to donate the food, help further animals out, amazing!! We love this company!!

I wanted to express my sincerest gratitude to all of the staff at Chewy.com. Our dog Leela who was a huge part of our family, passed last week and I couldn’t even speak to call and let you know that we needed to cancel the order. I had decided to just send a message to the person on the 24 hour chat who was so very kind and didn’t ask any other questions and immediately canceled the order. I come home on Friday from work from a very emotional week and at my doorstep was a beautiful arrangement from Chewy.com. I was seriously touched and besides myself. Not only were you all fantastic with her deliveries right up until the very end, you impressed me. In this day and age, most companies would just delete our account and we’d never hear from them again. You guys went above and beyond and showed us that you truly cared. Thank you so very much!!! If we decide to get another pup in our future, you will be 1st to be contacted!!!

After attempting to order TD kills prescription feline dry food from their site, they denied the purchase and required veterinary information. This is news to me, as for the past eight years of buying the product, this has never been required(over two dozen purchases). Since their information is clearly false, I pressed, and a supervisor was called over whom clearly said they would lose their 'special relationship' with the vendor unless it was done as the vendor wanted. So logically, either every time I have purchased this food, stores I have acquired it from decided committing a prescription violation was worth a few dollars of profit, or Chewy is intentionally lying for fringe benefits on their side. It doesn't take a lot of effort to figure out which. Buy anywhere else, somewhere that will treat you honestly and appreciate your business.

I've been shopping with Chewy for what started out as 2 cats for at least 4 years now and they've always been super. A couple months ago they sent out an autoship for a couple cases of pretty pricey cat food for an older cat with chronic kidney disease. Unfortunately a couple weeks after I received the shipment my cat's condition worsened to the point that I felt euthanasia was the most loving thing I could do for him so I ended up with over 30 cans of cat food that I couldn't use. When I called Chewy to see what they might do to help out, they refunded the entire shipment cost. I was simply "blown away" by their kindness.
Today, I received the wrong item in an order. The price was a negligible amount and I was willing to either send it back or not take a refund. The person I was working with wouldn't hear of either. Very rarely have I encountered a business that's seemingly more concerned about their customer than their bottom line. Chewy is such an organization.

I purchased on autoship some special prescription food for my 14 year old dog Oliver. Unexpectedly last Friday I had to put him down and notified Chewy to stop the Auto ship. On my front door was a notice from a florist saying to call them. I received beautiful flowers from Shanique and am so touched beyond belief. My other dog passed also three months ago. I have a new puppy and I will do all my purchases through Chewy.com. What an amazing company. I have already texted all my friends about your kindness and to use Chewy.com.

We have been with Chewy for years. We started Chewy For convenience. Then we found out that our black lab had severe allergies. We had an extensive list of foods that she could not have. After going through the list and going through food ingredients it became very frustrating. I emailed Chewy her allergy list and they did the footwork for me. I was very appreciative due to frustration and lack of time period Chewy made it very convenient for us to make sure that our dog was well taken care of period. Also we were on auto ship and the shipment had K had not come in the 3 day. That it was supposed to. So we called Chewy to say that it still wasn't at our home and expressing frustrations due to our dog not having food and it was a special order item. They overnighted a bag of food right away. And then gave us the shipment that was late for free.
Recently Lucy had passed away. The day before she had passed we had received our Chewy shipment still in the Box. I called to let them know that Lucy had passed and that we would like to see if we could get a refund for the food that was unopened. They They generously gave us a refund and asked us to donate to a shelter or a charity of our choice. 4 days after Lucy's passing I had received an FTD Box on my door unsure who it was from. When I opened it there was a dozen roses and a card from Chewy expressing their condolences for our loss of our dog. Chewy goes above and beyond all customer service I have ever received. Although it is hard to think of getting another dog at this point I know in the future if you decide to do that that we will definitely use Chewy in the future. They go above and beyond and really care for their customers!

I just wanted to share my appreciation for Chewy.com's exceptional customer service. They really go above and beyond to provide the best service they can to help the customers and also the public with their donations. I recently had to say goodbye to one of our fur babies after 15 loving years and came home to floral arrangements left at my doorstep. Thank you Chewy for your condolences. Nobody knows what it means to raise a fur baby and have to make that tough decision to let them go when they're sick. We also appreciate the handwritten birthday cards for our fur babies every year for our remaining cats and pup. Thank you Chewy!

Well, I went to order for a second time from the company because I got a 15$ coupon in the mail off 49$. The CSR was very rude and told me at first that they price match Amazon, and when I told him the prize on Amazon, he told me he didn't see the prices for my cat's food and treats. I asked to speak with a manager, and she was nastier than the CSR and told me to just go to Amazon and order my cat's products. This company has gone downhill fast, and they raised the price of their products monthly. The first time I ordered, they were cheaper than Amazon the 2nd time they were not. I will stick with Amazon plus I will get 5% off with prime. They need to train their employees on how to treat their customers because Chewy will be closed soon if not!

I have been a consistent customer every week for quite some time always ordering at least $45 each time. McKenna ** refused to credit a Temptations treats item because she said it was free. It was not free and I spent a long time on the phone with a supervisor to fix the issue. I still cannot believe how McKenna ** can work at Chewy because I have always had great customer service. Not sure if I will ever order again because of her.

I called after receiving a bag of dog food and finding some loose in the box. I was concerned about feeding to my girls when I realized the package had been torn so I called Chewy to see what could be done. They replaced the dog food (no questions asked) and asked that I donate the torn bag to a local rescue or shelter. Even had the new bag on my doorstep in less than 30 hours. I will continue to be a loyal customer! Love their customer service!

Items always come crushed or litter opens in box. Yes, I've told them multiple times not to pack the litter with other items. Nope, they don't want to hear it. Until they clean up their act, I will not purchase litter from them anymore.

I went online to place an order for medications for my dog; however the system At Chewy.com returned a message stating my credit card was invalid. My credit card information was correct: I called customer service. Spoke with a representative. The representative try to put my credit card through. She was unsuccessful as well. She explained to me that the Chewy.com system was having problems accepting Visa and MasterCard cards.
The customer service representative said she will escalate my information to a higher management however no one's never called me back. I called the next day. Spoke with the manager. She requested to put my credit card information through again. She had no success. The manager said she will call me back as soon as she Send out the prescription as well as have Her IT Department tried to put my credit card Through. She never called me back. It’s been three days of been trying to get this medicine from Chewy.com with no success. I contact my credit card company And was told Chewy.com has tried to put my credit card through a total of 15 times with no success. As of today no one has called me back actually… I am very disappointed.

I ordered a product. It never arrived. Chewy never told me a thing about it. They never notified me by email or text or phone call that they cancelled my order. When I tried to access my account online at Chewy, the site said to change my password.. I changed it and it said it would not let me access my account and to call customer service. I called and they told me they closed my account. And they cancelled my order. They said they don't know why. They said it could have been that my info was input wrong or that someone was trying to steal my identity and enter my credit card info to order things. Still they never notified me. Oct 19th I placed the order and nothing arrived. I called Chewy on Oct 28th. Not happy with the way Chewy does business. I'll stick to PetSmart or Amazon Prime. Paying a few dollars more for peace of mind is better than this!

I purchased some clothes for my dog on Chewy.com and they charged me for the full order. But since the order shipped in partial shipments they turned around and charged me for each partial shipment totaling the amount of the order.. Mind you they took it upon themselves to go back into my account and make unauthorized charges without my consent or notifying me. When I called them about the discrepancy they informed me, very rudely, that I would have to "contact my bank and then call them back and get a supervisor on the phone and that's the only way they would even begin to credit me back the charges."
When they admitted that they saw the additional charges. I would say that's a lot of inconvenience for something that was a error on their part. It's a lot of hold time with the bank and with them. It's a terrible business practice and for that I will never order anything else from them. So basically unless you want to have your account double charged and experience a terrible time getting it corrected I would not do any online purchases with them.

I setup an autoship with Chewy.com. First autoship was seamless. Second one never arrived. My pet ran out of meds. I had to call. The shipment was "stuck" because they forgot to list the vets approval on the order. It is very concerning that they don't have their act together. Someone should have noticed that the order had not gone out and was more than a week past the ship date. I will be looking for a new online pet supplier as my pet can't afford to miss meds as she has due to this issue.

I ordered a dog dematting comb. It arrived & I hated it. I reviewed the product at Chewy.com. The next day I received an email from Chewy apologizing for the experience, offering a full refund & asking that I give the comb to a shelter. Who does that anymore? Usually, companies just ignore your bad reviews or try to argue with them. Not Chewy. They not only read my review, but they privately reached out to make it right. I switched to Chewy from Petco & I'm glad that I did.

I ordered a dog stroller awhile back and didn't get to use it as my Grandmother's dog passed before using it. The stroller was brand new and I recently sold it. The wheel broke off and the person who bought it contacted Chewy. Since I still had the invoice Chewy replaced it with no problem. This is a company that stands behind products! I order from this company and will make sure I continue. Thanks for such an upstanding company!

Instantly got hold of a live rep to chat with online. I was returning an item and after I provided some details (the item was fine, just wrong size/material for my pup). The rep said she was going to use her "paws" to create a return label for me (lol!). Then she told me that while she would usually provide free shipping, it would be nice if I could just donate the item to a local shelter! I told her it (the doggy boots) hadn't been removed from the packaging or used and asked if she was sure. Her response was "even better!". She told me the shelters would appreciate the boots what with the cold weather. WOW. Loved that gesture so much... almost made me cry. I called SPCA immediately to see where I could drop them off.

I ordered a scale in error. When I called customer service to return it, they said they would refund my payment and asked me to donate it to an animal sanctuary. How amazing and unbelievable is that? The scale cost about $50. Chewy will make the sanctuary I am giving this to very happy. I will recommend Chewy to everyone. I've already started telling folks in my office! Thank you, Chewy.

I ordered dog food from them. It was never delivered. Rep told me they shipped it by FedEx. Chewy They claimed failure of delivery was FedEx's fault and did nothing to get the products delivered other than promise to look into it, even though they selected FedEx as their service provider. In my opinion, they are a scam. Chewy said they would refund my payment. I have yet to see a refund to my card.

I have ordered various dog foods and toys from Chewy. They have always delivered in a short time and all products have been as stated. Even when I made a mistake, they corrected it without charge. One day I received a dog water dish that did not fit together properly. I should have called them but I just gave them a low star for that product. Very soon after, I received an email that I would be refunded and kindly asked about my dogs. I and my dogs recently lost our loved one and we were very glad to have each other during this time. Well today I received flowers from Anastasia with condolences about our loss. I have never experienced such an expression of care from a company. I am very pleased with the customer service and the flowers were an added lift to my day as yesterday was the first birthday apart from my loved one as I was feeling very sad. Thank you so much Anastasia and Chewy.

If I could give them no stars I would! Everything is shipped in one giant box. The order I just received was 55lbs! I cannot lift without injury, nor can I move or drag the box in. Contacted Chewy (uncaring reps) and they said nothing they can do about it. They can do a box up to 68 lbs!!! Seriously??? They will not ship in smaller boxes. So I guess we can all sue them in small claims court when becoming injured trying to lift box. I will buy my cat food and toys etc on Amazon who has same prices as Chewy and ships free with Prime and you do not have to do a huge order just to get free shipping.

I wanted to get this review out right away for others to see. I had been ordering sub Q fluids for my cat LB all summer from Chewy. He had kidney disease. The shipments were always fast and even if they couldn't be fulfilled with the other products I ordered, perhaps because my vet was slow in approving them, they made up the difference with overnight shipping to make sure they were received in the promised time frame. The last shipment I ordered of 3 bags I never got to open before my dear sweet boy had to cross the rainbow bridge. I called Chewy Pharmacy and asked if I could ship back the unopened box. Not only did they not have me return the fluids, they credited my account in full and were so kind and compassionate about my loss. Then it got better.
A few days later I received a bouquet of flowers from ReNelle at Chewy with a heartfelt note about LB's passing. I cried. I was so moved by this touching gesture which was above and beyond any customer service I've ever received from any company. Thank you Chewy for making this loss somewhat more bearable! The flowers are brightening up my space in a dark time.

Chewy.com has surpassed my expectations in every way. Selection, pricing, customer service, all of it! I found a medication that was less than half of what I was paying my vet for it. If they are ever out of stock they will send you a note when its back in. Their customer service folks are TOP notch! Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, etc. In the event you need to return something it is hassle-free. When my beloved dog passed away they absolutely went above and beyond what I would expect any company to do. I placed my first order with Chewy this week. I order two 28 lb boxes of cat litter and 2 24 can packs of Fancy Feast cat food. My order came today and I only received the litter. The content label shows all of what I ordered in 1 shipped box, but the cat food was missing. What is really concerning is that I check the weight on the box and it stated 68 lbs. The litter weighs 28 lbs each or 56 lbs. However, no cat food, which I needed. I called immediately to service. While they offered to ship the cat food, I could not wait and just asked for the refund of cat food, which is going to be done. What a disappointment. I can't imagine how anyone could enjoy his/her pet as much as those of us who have had Chewy.com to back us up with top-notch products, low-prices and superb customer service. Our second Shih Tzu, LILA, was a mix whom we rescued when she survived her first three years of critical abuse and neglect. Between her indomitable attitude and Chewy's good advice she enjoyed her last 8 years with us, and inspired my 6-year campaign to promote rescues and adoptions to the 120,000 followers of my "Shihtzumania" facebook page, and its accompanying website, Shihtzumania.com. I have never hesitated to recommend Chewy.com to my readers, and will continue to do so, in honor of our late pets, if for no other reason.

This morning I received an email from them with a coupon code for $15 off a $49 order. I immediately used it as I needed some dog food, but it wouldn’t work. I emailed them and they said it wasn’t their code (but it was in their email). I even sent them the original email. They said they would give me 15% off, which wasn’t the same. They ended up honoring the $15 off, but acted like they were doing me this big favor. Turns out I was charged the full amount, despite the invoice showing the $15 savings.

My experience with Chewy.com has been a good one. I have been a customer for about four years. The products I have purchased from Chewy.com have been flawless. I have purchased dog food, heartworm prevention, flea prevention, dental care, leashes, toys and a really cool coffee cup! I shop Chewy for quality products, best prices, great customer service and quick shipping. They also have a Hot Deals section. Their website is user friendly too.

When it comes to customer service, Chewy is the Nordstrom's of the pet care industry!! After re-ordering several cases of a Rx formula dog food, we lost our beloved dog. When I called to see if the dog food was returnable, Jonathan was the kindest, most supportive person possible. Like another reviewer said, I was told that my account would be credited but they didn't want me to have to deal with returning the product during this sad time. I donated the special dog food to our local shelter, where our dog had come from, and then I receive a delivery of flowers from Chewy!!! Incredible. Needless-to-say, Chewy has won my loyalty forever.

I purchased cat food to be delivered to an animal shelter on Sunday, October 13, 2019. FedEx told me someone delayed the shipment - I DID NOT. I've called Chewy 4 times. Their response: "I'm sorry, we'll get back to you." As of today, October 18, no response. The shelter is in dire need of this food and no one seems to care. DO NOT ORDER from this company if you wish speedy delivery. I have no idea where my order of 50 pounds of cat food donated to a shelter is being held.

Recently I purchased medication for my dog and unfortunately my dog passed away. The medication was unopened so I called Chewy asking if I could return the medication and get a refund. They refunded me my money and said I could donate the medication (which I did). A few days later I received the most beautiful bouquet of roses from Chewy regarding our loss of our dog of 18yrs. This company has a heart, I wish more veterinarian offices cared for there customers like this.

We ordered flea medicine for our labrador retriever and it was like pulling teeth to deal with Chewy.com, we were told to send in the original prescription wet signature and we did that however they lost it and cannot manage their business properly. Absolute incompetence and talking to their service representatives was like trying to communicate to the brain dead. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere or purchase from your doctor, the headache is not worth the savings.

I found out our dog may be allergic to chicken due to a reaction in his ears. Switched his food to a grain free fish diet. Shortly after receiving food, I read that the brand of food is involved in a class action suit questioning arsenic levels. I called Chewy and spoke to a representative. Chewy gave me my money back on that food understanding my concern even though claim's not actually proven yet on that brand. Ordered a new grain free Taste of Wild fish dog food. He loves it and has wonderful ingredients. They always ship fast, very impressed with products and outstanding customer service!

I placed an order or self heating pet beds online. Within 5 minutes of placing the order I received over 10 spam emails. Within 30 minutes I have now received over 25. I have been a Chewy customers for about 3 months now and I wish it was longer! I have had nothing but positive experiences. I have dog food on "auto ship" and it's the best thing I have EVER done. Every shipment arrives quickly and always when they say it will. The customer service is out of this world! I had my latest shipment damaged, in transit. I called in and the representative was very quick to apologize and shipped me a replacement immediately. The damaged item was a package of ** that was shipped in the same box as my 30 pound bag of dog food. The rep sent me out a new box of ** immediately and at no charge.
The next day, my husband noticed that some of the ** had leaked onto the bottom of the bag of dog food. I reached out to customer service through email and inquired about the material the bag of food was made from. They were quick to respond back and understood my concerns about the ** possibly contaminating the food. They immediately shipped me out another bag of food and told me to throw the other bag away. They didn't even want me to return it. They even asked if I would be willing to send them a picture of my dogs. I gladly attached a picture of both of my dogs and the follow up email included very lovely compliments on my fur babies.
I can't imagine anyone could have a bad experience with Chewy. They have been AMAZING with me. They stand by their products and REALLY honor their 100% guarantee. The customer service members are so very nice and sweet. It doesn't matter if you call in or email them, you will ALWAYS be treated with respect and compassion. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! Please keep up the good work and respect for your customers! For anyone who hasn't tried Chewy yet... What are you waiting for? My dog passed away a few weeks ago and to my extreme surprise, not only did Chewy refund the money of products I did not use (I donated them to an animal shelter), they sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I received in the mail a coupon for 20% off any order. So I thought I would give the RX of ** for my dog as she started her itching season again. I made a full order over the phone to a live person- They received all info applied my coupon - than wanted a credit card number after they told me they needed to contact my vet. They did not take PAYPAL? I thought maybe online I could pay with PayPal-my coupon now was no longer accepted with the online order and had to call in again. I did give them the credit card number. Funny after I place the order I had tons of over seas solicitors call my phone that I had to change my phone number.
My vet didn't trust CHEWY with over the phone info either and asked that I personally pick up a written RX and fax /email/send to Chewy. I called a "supervisor" and pacifically told him NOT to cancel my order as I did scan and emailed it- He told me to mail it immediately and they would send out the RX as soon as it was received. Chewy did review notes and found I did talk to the supervisor and they DID receive my Mailed RX on or before that Friday- but, now they couldn't mail it out because the order was canceled that day. WHAT A HASSLE!
Monday or Tuesday they did mail it out and FINALLY i found the soggy water soaked package on my door step. But, Funny sometimes when I gave the ** to my dog for itching - sometimes they worked from CHEWY and other days they did not. Which the vet RX worked all the time. Which now makes me wounder if some of the pills were bootleg/placebo or just plain old and near expired they sent out 'for free' because it took them three weeks to ship my order! I asked that they also reimburse me for the $27 worth of pills I had to buy from my vet to tide me over because of the negligence of CHEWY failing to immediate ship out my RX as promised- but that wasn't done either.
I asked they replace the FREE pills with Manufacturer ** as well as the ones they sent some works/others did not. I am waiting. I read other reviews about CHEWY at CONSUMER AFFAIRS and found a lot of people complaining about the same thing I did. Others of expired food, moldy "name brand" food, bugs in "name brand" food - and opened or re sealed packages. The positive reviews were about CHEWY sending them flowers when their pets DIED- one lady had TWO pets die at once - which made me only wonder if it was from the bad food or drugs? THE HELL WITH THE FLOWERS! Credit cards were also spent up to $400 for "booze and pizza" sighting an inside job of CHEWY. Hummm it will be interesting to see if they send a replacement RX for the old expire RX and my $27. for delayed shipment I had to buy more RX for my vet while waiting and waiting and waiting.

I have been a customer of Chewy before they became Chewy. This company used to be Pet food Direct. For the past two years, Chewy's customer service has become the worst I have ever experienced. Packages of food and supplies left on my garbage can, packages delivered broken, toys delivered broken. Items were missing and when I called to complain which has been many times, I was received with cold and sarcastic comments such as "hum, I see!", "Got you!" and "Oh! we never deliver used toys!!!" Oh! YES you do, because I have been the recipient of several of then.
What broke the camel's back finally was the fact that they told me they would have my cat's medication filled in within two day and ship it right away. % days past and they did nothing! Absolutely NOTHING! First I was told that the Humane Society of New York was not dealing with online pharmacy and will not sign the consent form. So I went to the Humane Society and watched with my own eyes the Vet signed the consent form and directed the staff to fax it. Even then, they denied receiving any paperwork. When I complained to their incompetent supervisor and asked to speak to a manager instead, I was promised someone would get back to me. No one did! I tried to find the corporate phone number to complain and they have no contact phone or info of any kind for their corporate.
So you as a customer pretty much are on your own! Take their crap or walk away. I choose to walk away. I have been a customer of PetMeds for over 15 years and not once I had any problem with my medication to be filled on time. Chewy has changed for the last two years. They employ untrained customer service and rude incompetent managers. Myself, my family and my friends will never use their services again.

We had an account set up to receive canned cat food for our cat on a monthly basis. Our Cat passed away and I called to ask if I could return the unopened case for a refund. She told me she would refund the entire order and I should donate the unused cans to a shelter. She was very sympathetic on the phone and I felt like this was a company that cares more about pets than turning a huge profit. If we adopt another pet, Chewy will be where I order all our food and supplies.

The first order for medicine took a week to even contact our vet. And then another week to get the medicine. So our vet sent in a prescription with refill next time. When I ordered refills it took Chewy 3 days to tell me it was out of stock. When I called they told me it was out of stock at customer service, the pharmacy told me it was out of stock at one of their warehouses and that they cancelled the order. When I spoke with a Lead person he told me no it was not out stock and yes the order was cancelled by Chewy. I told him it better get fixed. He said there was nothing Chewy could do until I placed another order. I told him I did not cancel the order and that Chewy needed to fix the mess it made. Bob the pharmacist needs a new job. His customer service skills lack and he has no clue if a medication is out of stock. How can he fill a prescription. Really. Still waiting to hear back from chewy.

I called customer service and the lady told me they pre-authorize my payment and then they charge again once the order ships. Twice the money has come out of my account. She told me once the order is delivered it will be back in my account within 48 hrs. Hello dumb **. Take the money out once and don’t charge me twice. Make sense to most people. There seems to be no way to get the widely advertised 30% discount applied to your first auto order. In several chats with customer service, I was told the thirty percent will not be applied if any other discounts appear. However, the website auto includes a 5 or 10% discount. Hence, there seems to be no way to get the 30%. It's only on the first order, so it's not that much money. I am just tired of scam advertising.

I recently made an order with Chewy.com that didn't go through on their computer system. It was an honest mistake as I assume huge numbers of orders pass through their system. However, not only did they go out of their way to make up for it, both in words and ACTIONS (refunds, shipping etc.) but the staff in the Kentucky store went out of their way to write me a hand-signed card—with multiple signatures—of apology. If more companies followed this human model, they'd have a lot more profits. Bravo.

I have ordered through Chewy.com and always been pleased. In fact, I recommended them to others. However, my last experience with them upset me so much that I will never use them again, and it prompted me to write my first ever review. I ordered $157 worth of product. The charge immediately appeared in my pending charges in my bank account like always. However, the next morning, that charge was still there, but so was an additional $147 charge that I did not make. Understandably, I was upset and called.
The representative had the attitude that I shouldn't be concerned about the missing money from my account. She explained they put a pending hold on my account for the full amount and then charged me when the first shipment shipped. She said the additional charge would "eventually fall off", and when I pressed for it to be immediately corrected, she said it would be within five days! Unacceptable to charge a customer TWICE for the same order, tie up their funds, and act like I shouldn't be bothered by it! If I had not had enough money in my account to cover their error, I would have been charged a fee by my bank, and it would have been chewy.com's fault. They double charge customers and act like it is no big deal.

I order supplies for my animals monthly and have two different auto ship deliveries set up...depending on what is needed I tweak them accordingly. Nonetheless, I was out of town on an extended trip and the auto ship was delivered with two 16 lbs of unneeded bags of food. I called and explained it was an oversight and asked if I could return the food. The Chewy representative said of course and proceeded to process the return. She said my Visa was credited $79 plus for the bags of food and to please donate them them to a local shelter. WOW. I didn't know what to say. Clearly this was not what I expected... hence my review. The Pet Republiqie cat dematting tool with 12/23 teeth is highly rated. The smaller version with 6/11 teeth is available at many places but the larger one was only listed at Amazon and Chewy.com. Decided to give Chewy a try. But I received the smaller 6/11 size even though their description showed the 12/23 size. Won't order from Chewy again.

Totally unreasonable for internet shopping to require your bank information verses a REPUTABLE prepaid card from Walmart. Chewy refuses to allow any purchases with a prepaid card. I for one do not put banking information on the internet and this card is designed to keep people from having to do just that. No notation as to that fact - will just say invalid number. Had to called card customer service to find out why Chewy was doing this. Then Chewy tells me to try shopping with their affiliated business. As if....

Every time I order from Chewy, I have an amazing experience. During the holidays I even received a handwritten card! Their customer service gets you to a live person immediately, and they are very helpful. On my last order, I forgot an item and they added it to my order right away, and it didn’t even delay the shipping. I receive my pet's ** through Chewy.com. I have signed up for their auto pay program which automatically bills me for ** every 3 months and ships it right to my door. Recently I moved and forgot to change my address. I had mail forwarding through USPS, but USPS ignored my mail forwarding and delivered my package to my old address anyway. I couldn't get a hold of USPS because their wait time for customer service was so long. I decided to contact Chewy to see if there was any way to fix the problem (my pet's prescriptions were over $100). In spite of the delivery error not being their mistake, Chewy sent out a new prescription delivery to my new address at no extra charge! They also made sure to update my address for future deliveries! That's excellent customer service! I'm so glad I chose to get my pet's medications through them!

I couldn’t have been more shocked at the appallingly bad customer service I received from such a large company with such a great reputation. I’ve been doing business with this company for years and have not had to avail myself of their customer service, so I guess I thought that area of the company would be up to the standards of the others. I couldn’t believe how uncaring these people were! I first used live chat, and then after a while, because I couldn’t believe what I had just heard, called the 1-800 number. BOTH TIMES I got, "Well that’s too bad" and even, "I wish you luck" despite the fact that I had requested a return be processed due to defective packaging, and this was after I had said I was going to cancel my standing autoshipments and discontinue doing business over this issue. All I wanted was an assurance that they cared enough to notify the manufacturer! Hope you never have to use customer service with this company.

It's been sitting 40 miles from me since last Wednesday night. Someone puts it on the FedEx truck someone takes it off 10 minutes later. I went to Amazon. We have to let companies know that when they use cute rate shipping they have to take their "guaranteed 1-2 day shipping" from their page and replace it with "or 7 maybe..." My more fish. I waiting clear through Saturday. I won't use them again. I tried to cancel it yesterday but they said no and it's arriving Tuesday, but I can arrange to send it back. Awesome customer service right there.

There are not many companies that care enough about one customer's problem. After being treated so badly at Lowe’s over an expensive refrigerator that never got resolved it’s amazing that Chewy not only replied promptly to my problem but cared enough to make sure I was a happy satisfied customer! I was a customer for a little over a year and never had any problems or issues. Most recently I wrote an email to their customer service department to cancel my account and automatic shipment due to my cat's passing. They promptly responded and were very caring and compassionate. Not only did they cancel my account but offered a kind ear to listen if I needed it. In addition they credited back the complete amount of my most recent order. I thought that was very generous. Several days later I came home to find a a delivery of roses and I opened the card and the same customer service rep who emailed me had sent them. I have ordered several times. My most recent order came In 1 day! I shopped for price all over the internet including Amazon and Ebay for parrot food. The 20 pound bag of parrot food I wanted was on Amazon for prices starting at $60 and going up to over a hundred dollars. On Ebay it was $80 to $100. I found the exact parrot food I wanted on Chewy for $35. I ordered cat food and dog food. The Dog food I ordered was buy one get one free. The package came in one day with free shipping. Phone customer service is the absolute best and I am a fussy shopper.

Utilized Chewy.com for pet food, etc. and couldn't be happier. Thought the pharmacy would be the same. Definitely not. Purchased a chemotherapeutic medication and the first shipment was great. Took MUCH longer than anticipated but finally did arrive. Not sure where the delay occurred and perhaps expecting the quick delivery was somewhat unrealistic on my part. The second delivery was a disaster and the customer service pretty much was as disastrous, and surprising.
First order arrived in the manufacturer's package. Second for some reason was packaged in a blue med bottle with the chemo drug interspersed with cotton wads. When you tried to remove the cotton to get at the drug they povaulted throughout the kitchen floor. It is amazing that anyone having access to such a powerful and expensive drug could provide such a situation. When I called I was supplied with all the reasons cotton is necessary in packaging, etc. When I spoke with the 3rd or 4th person to ask for assurance the drug would be sent in the original packaging in the future I was told they could NOT assure me of that. I WILL NOT BE REORDERING or using the pharmacy and would recommend those considering to remember the pharmacy is quite another animal, to be sure.

Two days ago (9/23/19), I took my 10 yr old Lab mix (rescue and therapy dog), Mandy, to a specialist to what I perceived was a slip disc that was progressively getting worse. I went into the appointment thinking surgery would be the outcome. Sadly I learned my poor Mandy girl had Aortic Thromboembolism (blood clot in her abdomen) which resulted in her not having functioning of her hind legs. They believe it was a result of Cushing's Disease and possible cancer. Prognosis poor and in pain :( I had to say goodbye to her after only 4 short years! My heart is broken :( Because I thought she had injured herself, I purchased a car ramp, seatbelt and other items to assist with her recovery.
I called Chewy's customer service to return the items as I was heartbroken. I was met with compassion and sympathy by the representative...as she reimbursed my entire orders and stated I could donate the items in Mandy's memory. Today, they sent a sweet bouquet of flowers... I was shocked and filled with emotion on the empathy of strangers! This company is doing something right and I forever will recommend them and support them again in the future! Keep doing you!!

I have been a customer for only 4 months, but two significant issues have already occurred:
1. A contracted delivery company (i.e. not Fed Ex) delivered a Chewy box that was 50% SOAKED with some type of chemical (my husband indicated it smelled like either a pesticide or solvent). Clearly there had been a spill in the delivery vehicle and what certainly seemed like a toxic substance was all over the renal diet pet food and my hands/arms. I took pictures and called. They apologized and indicated it was not their regular delivery service and stated they would replace the order promptly. The customer service representative assured me she was documenting the case as we were on the phone and that they would pursue it (I was insistent that it needed to be researched as this cannot be allowed to happen to someone else as it could be life threatening for a pet). They sent a replacement order standard shipping. I (foolishly) decided to give them another chance assuming this experience was an outlier.
2. Our senior/very ill cat was just released from the hospital yesterday and will currently only eat a liquid snack food made for cats with poor renal function that are 15+ years old (not on the shelf of the local box stores). I went to the latest Chewy box delivered yesterday as I had ordered several boxes of the packets. Instead, I find boxes of the wrong formula (standard) and an entirely different flavor. I again get on the phone. The initial service representative was quick to acknowledge they had clearly not sent what was ordered and she apologized. She then asked to put me on hold to see if there was a way to expedite the replacement. I was on hold for several minutes only to be transferred to a "supervisor" who asked how she could help me.
I asked if she had been briefed (so that even more of my time would not be wasted) and she then indicated she had, but she abruptly stated she was not approving expedited shipping. Note that I had not requested expedited shipping; the original representative had suggested it (as a thinking person). The supervisor went on to say they are entering the complaint as we speak (keyboard clicking in the background which was reminiscent of the previous issue) and that they were "letting me keep" the four boxes of the incorrect packets, as if it was their concession and I should be appreciative. What??? I have absolutely no use for these items as our younger cat will not go near them. I will drop off to the local animal shelter.
I explained the significance of needing the correct items ASAP to administer medication and asked for a guarantee that they would arrive in two days; she indicated two to three despite knowing the urgency involving administering medication. She then offered to call me to see if they arrived. How does that help me? I am disappointed with, and disgusted by, this company. I have lost confidence in them. Chewy went above and beyond to keep me a happy customer!!! First of all, their website is great -- it was easy to select the quality products I wanted for my new puppies, and everything shipped quickly as promised. Unfortunately, the raccoons found the package before we returned home from our trip, shredded the box, and ate every last morsel of that 30 lb bag of food! When Chewy heard about this, on their own initiative, they promptly sent a replacement package free of charge! Shoot, I didn't think it was their fault there are critters in our neighborhood -- I was completely surprised and impressed with their generosity! Thoughtful, fun emails -- it is so refreshing to find a company that truly cares about the customer (and their furry friends) again!

I love Chewy.com but last 3 orders had at least 1 item missing. Very bothersome as I had to call in, complain etc. Customer service handled it without question which is great but it keeps happening. They said the trouble has been coming from one particular warehouse. They need to fix that.

Chewy is such an amazing company! The first time I purchased an item from the site, not only was the item shipped the same day but I also received a handwritten letter in the mail thanking me for my purchase! Now if that is not great customer service, then I don't know what is. I then purchased a bag of puppy food for my new pup, but after I took him to the vet they informed me it was not a great choice for him. After requesting a return label, they told me to just donate the bag of food to an animal shelter and that they would refund my credit card. I am just blown away! I will be a customer for life.

I have always bought the assortment pack of my hay for my guinea pigs. My last shipment of hay had a stick in it. I emailed Chewy to inform them about it. Only a few hours later they had responded and shipped out another bag of the assorted hay that arrived 2 days early! BEWARE! I tried to purchase dog treats through Chewy.com and my debit card number was stolen from someone in the company! They went out and purchased over $400 worth of pizza and alcohol within a 17 mile radius of Chewy company in Hollywood, FL. NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER ORDER FROM THEM AND TRYING TO WARN EVERYONE ELSE TOO! I sure hope they have a fraud department looking into it like they said they would.

I have used them for a year. Delivery is never as advertised or expected. I have complained five previous times about delivery. This time, it is so far five days wait dog medication that was promised 1-2 days guaranteed. Upon calling in the Supervisor "Courtney" did nothing, would do nothing other than read the tracking to me which of course I already had. Rude, incompetent, unwilling to help and obstinate. Got a call back from CS while writing this review to tell me that although they advertise 1-2 days shipping it is not for all products. However, it doesn't say not all products or certain products excluded on the website. In fact it says the opposite, "Fast Free Shipping on ANY product..." She had to reply to the misleading advertising.

I have autoship set up for the delivery of my dog’s food. While researching different brands I was adding them to the autoship. When I had decided on a brand, I forgot to take the old food out of the autoship. I called when I got the email telling me that the order was preparing for shipment. The gentlemen I spoke with was very helpful, so friendly, and tried to catch it before it actually shipped. However, they weren't able to catch it before it was sent out.
I called after I received the dog food and they said that they would refund the money for the two bags that I didn't want, and that I could keep them and donate that to a local shelter if I wasn't going to use them. Way to go Chewy!! I have never had a company tell me to donate over $100 worth of product. Especially after the mistake was truly my fault. This is a very generous thing for them to do. Just one more reason I will continue to order my pet supplies and food through Chewy.

Chewy.com has gone above and beyond from my very first purchase! We bought the huge puppy pads for our 15 year old cat. The pads were great! And auto ship made it super simple. We received a handwritten thank you card in the mail too! Almost 2 weeks ago we sadly had to put our cat down. That evening I went on Chewy.com because I knew our auto ship was about to clear and I wanted to try to stop it, but it was too late. Our order arrived the following day so I emailed Chewy and asked if I could send back the pads for a refund. They emailed back right away and offered me a refund AND told me I could just donate the pads to an animal shelter. They were full of sympathy and generosity!
I then wrote Chewy back the day I donated the pads to our humane society just to show them their generosity was not unnoticed and that I kept my word. They wrote me back almost instantly AGAIN and expressed their sympathy and even sent me a sweet cat poem. I figured both sides were satisfied at this point. Today I came home to a beautiful flower arrangement with a card from Chewy.com! I’m in shock! These guys have the best customer service I have ever received! Without the thank you card, refund, donation, poems, and flowers they still were so nice and helpful. Definitely I will recommend to every pet lover.

Chewy is hands-down one of the best companies I've worked with when it comes to customer service. I will provide a few examples to back-up my rating. My mom purchased a big order on Chewy.com for their dog Sadie and unfortunately she passed away unexpectedly before they received the shipment. This was obviously devastating - and my mom decided to call Chewy to see if they could cancel the order. Rather than cancelling the order, Chewy customer service told her to keep the shipment and donate the items to our local animal shelter. They also credited her account for the order. To top it off, a beautiful bouquet of flowers showed up at my parent's house with a heartfelt note about Sadie. It brought our entire family to tears and I felt it was necessary to share our experience.
I just recently got my own puppy and I knew I wanted to support Chewy.com, so I made my first purchase online. I ordered some dog food on Sunday since we were running low. As a first time buyer, I received a coupon and free 1-2 day shipping. I called to figure out the status of my order (because I didn't see a confirmation email - which was my fault because I typed in the wrong email address) and she informed me that the order had been processed and would be delivered by end of day Thursday. This information came as a surprise to me because I was expecting it by today (Tuesday) or tomorrow at the latest since it was supposed to be 1-2 day shipping.
I briefly mentioned that I would need to go buy some puppy food tonight since we were out. Without hesitation, the customer service representative insisted that she credit my card on file with money to purchase dog food in the meantime. I reassured her that this was not necessary, but she was adamant about doing it given the inconvenience. I was shocked - I did not expect that response at all but it was greatly appreciated! I cannot stress how great their customer service is and I will be a lifetime customer!

I’ve used Chewy for almost 3 years. I get my dogs treats, food, and medicine through Chewy. Never had a problem with anything until a few months ago. Started to notice my order invoice and the invoice in the package were different. Was being charged for items I never saw. It was one or two semi cheap treats so ok not the end of the world. Just got my latest order today. Was supposed to get 15 of one treat and 15 of another, it’s what I was charged for. There was only 10 in the order. So I called and asked about it, I was told that she could only see the 10 even though my account clearly said 15 of each. So I asked why I was charged for 15 but got 10. She said I wasn’t.
I pulled up my bank account and read her the charge for $62.79, now granted the original complete order should have only been $54, and she still said I wasn’t overcharged. I then asked why I was charged again for $6.31 on the same order. Again, she told me I wasn’t and I didn’t understand how their charging and shipping worked. So basically I was overcharged, didn’t get all my items, and customer service tried to put the blame on me. So if you order from Chewy check your bank account and your invoices. I am so frustrated and disappointed in the customer service I received today from this company.

My dog, Olivia is NOT often receptive of new toys. She's 9 and has (6) six toys that she has played with over the years (and have been replaced, EXACTLY). I have tried and failed many times. Well, gave it one more shot and she is in LOVE with this new "squeaky ball on a rope". I called to tell Chewy how THRILLED we both were. It is NOW her ABSOLUTE favorite.
Here's the SURPRISE... just a couple of days later, we received a package from this WONDERFUL company (did NOT order anything at the time) and they had sent her a "spare". Haven't given it to her yet, thought we'd wait until she chew(y)ed the original a little bit more. Chewy has done many thoughtful and helpful things in the past and we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. I placed an order on 9/11 that came with a coupon with free 1-2 day shipping. On 9/13 the order had not been delivered, so I tracked the order and it said delivery 9/17. I emailed Chewy asking why the order was not coming with the 1-2 day shipping that I should have gotten and they were SO kind, they emailed back telling me they are crediting my card $30 due to the delay so that if I needed to go get the items at the store I could pay for them with that since my items were delayed. They inquired about what my dog's name was and what kind of dog she is. They explained how sorry they were that something in the order got mistaken and explained they wouldn't let it happen again. Not only is Chewy.com the most affordable and convenient, they have MUCH better customer service than any other pet store around. All of my products for my puppy will be ordered from Chewy.com.

After our 12 year old Akita, Summer, passed away I contacted Chewy about sending back her unopened box of Frontline Plus we had just received a week before. I have purchased from Chewy's a few times before and I had a good experience. My fiancé bought a cage, some Alabama dog gear and some treats last week. They sent the wrong item. I received a gate instead of a crate. After speaking to customer service I got confirmation that the cage would be sent out the next day. The woman also apologized for the issue. Then after continuing to look through the box I realized we were also missing the Alabama dog leash that we bought. These mishaps will probably make me shop elsewhere.

I have been using Autoship for months. My 120 dog requires a prescription diet of Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets HA Hydrolyzed Formula Dry Dog. I am leaving to go out of the country tomorrow and was supposed to receive this monthly shipment either tomorrow or the next day. I made sure my dog sitter was aware that food would be coming as the charge already went through my bank account. I even received an email stating the shipment was processing.
Fast forward to late evening. Making sure everything is set and went to track the shipment of dog food. Nothing. Order showed declined. I thought this was odd since this prescription is valid for another 9 months. I called and was told that Chewy is out of stock and there is no ETA for more coming in. I was so angry that no one contacted me earlier. If they had I could have called my vet and found an alternative. Now I get to try to do this first thing in the morning while also catching a flight to the UK. I'm sick to my stomach worrying if I can get food for my dog at this point.

I ordered a crate from Chewy.com and received it today. I ordered a few sizes too large and requested a return so I could swap it out for a smaller size. I used the chat feature on their website to contact customer service. They were quick (wrote back within minutes), friendly, and had no problem issuing a refund for my purchase so I could get a crate that’s not so big. Great customer service and experience. I was very surprised at how accommodating they were. Most of the time you see a lot of negative reviews about a company/product because people love to complain when they are unhappy but rarely write good reviews when they are happy with something. I was able to place an order and although getting the prescription from the vet was going to take some time, they issued a one time shipment immediately per the vet's visit notes. I am the owner of an extremely feisty little Siamese cat named Tulip. Tulip today got her second bath in the year and a half that I've owned her. The long delay between two baths was due to the fact that the first resulted in multiple lengthy and deep lacerations to my arms. I recently purchased a pair of "Cat grooming gloves", and this time around I only received a minor puncture wound, and it is for that reason I am giving these four stars rather than five, they were not sufficiently tough to prevent her claws from puncturing them but only just barely.

The person I spoke with told me to throw out the treats and she would replace them. Shipment arrived late and they lied despite proof. 75 bucks every couple months for five years and their apology is a one dollar coupon. Account closed, avoid them at all cost. They can't even have the same customer service rep contact you. My stuff always comes from Goodyear, AZ 3 hours away. They tried to tell me it came out of state and explained shipping time after they "reviewed my order." After I blew that up it became the feigned one dollar coupon apology while taking no responsibility. That type of behavior is not worth saving the tax on dog food.

Customer service is poor is an understatement. Call to add prescription to autoship but told it doesn't qualify for autoship. They failed to correctly match up the new puppy with his correct updated veterinarian for the prescription. What else could possibly go wrong? After an hour to finally get the darn prescription on autoship the promised price I was given is said to be just another mistake! It just increased because it was an error coupon code that was promised. This entire facility is completely incompetent. They are NOT the same Chewy and it is not an ethical establishment anymore. Why give them your MONEY if they fail to correctly match a new vet with a new puppy??? It's just a NO!!!

We had used Amazon to order our dog food for many years. Our vet recommended a different type of food and we found the best price on Chewy. I enrolled in their Autoship program to receive a bag of food at my door each month. Because of the transition of mixing the food for a while to get our pups adjusted, I mistimed the second delivery and had to change it. I changed the date and didn't realize I didn't have to hit anything, so I hit "ship now" and ended up ordering the same food twice within a few days of each other. I got an email because Chewy.com noticed the multiple, close shipments and asked me to call if this was unintentional. I called the number, instantly got a real person (after only one ring, no long menus or automation to deal with), and she took care of it in less than two minutes. Fantastic service and great prices!

I have been using Chewy.com for the past year. I ordered everything for my German Shepard from them. Even in the end all of his medicine. My beloved friend just recently passed from bone cancer and I needed to cancel all my auto ships with Chewy.com. They asked why and I let them know. Today at work I received a bouquet of flowers from Chewy.com. This is the best company I have ever ordered from online. The orders came most of the time the next day, if it was not my auto-ship orders, and whenever I needed assistance their online chat was always able to handle it. I will most likely get another dog in the future and I will definitely use Chewy.com for all my pets needs. Chewy.com in my book gets 10 STARS.

We had 2 autoship accounts for over 2 years. During this time I found it necessary to closely monitor what the charges were as they change prices without informing you. They will email you when a product is no longer available, but not when there is a price increase. Yesterday I called customer service to make sure some additional items that I added to my order were added to my shipment. I also asked the service rep. if the price of one of the items would be the same. She said it would. However I checked my account the next day and found the price had gone from $8.59 to over $14.00! When I called cust. serv. she made no attempt to help other than to say "if you decide to try Chewy again".... I had ordered 8 of that item which would amounted to an additional $50.

Our sweet Shepherd, Britta, passed away and we had forgotten to cancel the autoship on her food and treats. I had an online chat with Andre and he was so compassionate and understanding. They actually refunded our money for the food/treats and told us to donate it to a local shelter. We were very impressed. That alone was amazing, but a few days later, they sent us flowers! WOW! I used to buy food from Chewy before I moved to a remote area where it's hard to get deliveries of huge bags of dog food. But need a prescription a few times a year, so I put in an order for heartworm meds and gave them my vet info so they could contact and verify. Got an email saying my vet requires I send in a written prescription mailed to Chewy. Except my vet never said that, and Chewy never called the vet. The vet gladly faxes and calls other online pet rx suppliers and has no reason to lie to me - my own family works at the vet office.
I would buy direct from the vet, but they don't carry the ** without any other ingredients, and my dog is sensitive to too much poison in one pill. Chewy charged my card and got my money and haven't replied to my request for refund. This is so shady. Next course of action is a fraud report to my bank. They LIED to me over pet meds. What else would they lie about? Can never trust them again. Will never shop there again. Customer lost for life.

We called customer service and let them know. They sent us another bag a few days later which had already expired. Chewy - when buying online feels like you're buying at a mom and pop shop because they TRULY care about your pets! We have a 3 year old toothless cat with severe upper GI and allergy issues on top of Feline Calicivirus and being prone to urinary crystals. It's going to be a long life for him if we can't nail down a good food that doesn't make him sick and that he doesn't hate. Chewy has been with us the entire way, providing support and helping us find what is right for him and provide any unused portions to shelters in need. Not to mention their genuine concern for our pets and Christmas cards. I do not want to shop anywhere else and could not be more grateful for their amazing team. :)

Okay, I placed my first order in July. I ordered late on Thursday night, I paid for the shipping. They shipped it out Thursday night and it arrived on Saturday. This was great. So I place an order on August 10, they shipped on 8/11 at 11:17 am and was shipped to arrive 8/15. This is not two days. According to my call to Chewy, it was FedEx's error. I contacted FedEx, because I received a text message from FedEx saying it was delivered. It was nowhere on my front porch, in my driveway, around the side of my house, in the neighbors porches or anything.
They state it was actually delivered early because it was delivered in 4 days, not 5-9 as Chewy identified the package as. I asked for them to call the driver to see where the driver left it. Oh, they have to file a delivery dispute and allow them till Monday to investigate it. So now I am out cat food, medication for 6 cats! It is horrible this whole transaction and Chewy keeps passing the blame instead of making it right.

The following testimony was uploaded to the Better Business Bureau on August 15, 2019. A resolution of money and cause was sought. Avoid this company at all costs. Apparently they do not have internal monitoring that protects consumer accounts from holds that encumber dollars for days and days.
I placed an order with Chewy Inc. on August 12, 2019 (Order# **) for $67.47. Four holds were placed on our checking account (Debit MasterCard) totaling $269.88. I immediately contacted Chewy on August 12, 2019 and began my inquiry (which has now lasted for one week). I was told that was an error and three of the four holds would be released within 24-48 hours. The one hold would be used until the order shipped and the money withdrawn from the account. I received the order on August 13, 2019.
Today, four days later, only one hold has been removed and three remain for a total of $202.41. Now today (Augusts 15, 2019) I was told Chewy attempted to refund the money and they were unable to do so. I contacted my bank and they do not see where the attempt was made. I have opened a complaint form with the bank so they can investigate Chewy and their claims.
I have made approximately three calls to various individuals including a supervisor. Since talking with the initial representative four days ago I decided I needed to find someone who was understanding and helpful. My wife and I have covered the expenses and remain worried about Chewy and their ability to protect personal accounts and money. This is not about the money other than a refund owed. This is about the security and safety of consumer accounts and a company’s lack of concern for their customers. In their words, after I stated my intentions to resolve this and never order from them again, a representative stated, "You will need to do what you have to do."

I enrolled in Chewy.com auto ship for Meow Mix cat food. The price was $5.93 per case of 12. I just received my 3rd order and the price per case charged was $8.54. I called customer service for explanation. Torria, the representative was of no help. Yawning during our conversation, she never grasp what my concern was. I asked for reimbursement, she refused. I cancelled my auto ship with Chewy. Increases are to be expected but not by 33% per order. I am very disappointed with their customer service.

I called Chewy to place an order on the Paws & Pals Jogger Dog & Cat Stroller on 8/6/2019. Spoke with a customer service representative Natt. He placed the order. I received the order of the stroller and to my surprise it was not anything like the sales representative had stated... I opened the box to find screws and some-other pieces I needed to put together with tools. The box came with no Instructions or did Chewy have a video on how to put this Stroller together. The stroller also was not a good quality stroller. It had the bed padding on inside of stroller made of FOAM!! Which had already a tear on the side of it.
I called Chewy.com. Immediately asked to speak with a supervisor regarding all these issues. A supervisor came to the phone Justin **. I explained the overall situation I was having with this stroller and I wanted to send it back for a full refund of what I paid which was $ 65.27. This was on 8-9-19. Same day I received the stroller. I also asked for a return label to be e-mailed to me so I can ship back the stroller.
Justin ** supervisor send me a return label on a PDF which I was unable to open on my computer. I asked him to e-mail to the FedEx location where I was going to take the stroller to have FedEx print out the label. He then stated they do not do that! He then stated he was going to have his team e-mail the label on a word document early morning the next day which I NEVER RECEIVED. I then asked Justin ** why couldn't they sent me the label NOW so I can place the label on the box and take it with me in the morning. He then stated that they were very busy and I had to wait until the next day. I was not believing his stories. If a Supervisor can't send how would a team member be able to have send me a label on a word document.. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited until the next morning.
First thing early morning I turned on my computer and there was no labels. NOTHING from Chewy.com. Not even an explanation!! I called Chewy.com AGAIN early morning and spoke to another supervisor who stated he would mail it to me which was Nathaniel **. I asked how long would it take for me to receive this label. He stated about 10 business days which to me it was unacceptable.. I needed to get this box out of my living area and needed my refund so I can place another order for a stroller. My dog is a special needs dog and is deformed.. Which they all knew for this was not my first time ordering from Chewing however I never had to send back the food I order from them as well as the BEDS ETC!
I had called AGAIN THIRD TIME asking for them to fax over a FedEx label to the FedEx location so I can send back the stroller. I spoke with another supervisor which was a female. I forgot to write her name down with all this happening as I was sooo upset with all this drama CHEWY.COM WAS GIVING ME.. AS WELL AS ALL THESE SUPERVISOR' I HAD TO SPEAK WITH AND NONE WERE BEING HELPFUL AND MAKING IT EASY for me to return the stroller that was damaged as well as JUNK!!! All they gave me was stress!!!!
The other supervisor I stated earlier which was a female I had explained to her the over all situation which I'm sure she already WAS AWARE OF FROM ALL the notes on their system.. I asked her to e-mail to the FedEx location I was taking the stroller to. She then asked me for the FedEx e-mail which I proceed to give her. She then e-mailed to FedEx which they did received and had printed out label because I made sure to call FedEx before taking this heavy box there. When I got there to FedEx on 8/12/19 and they scanned the label they told me it wasn't any good and I was not able to send the box back to Chewy.com. I went outside of the store into my car and called AGAIN for the fourth or fifth time I lost track of how many times. I had to call Chewy.com because of their inability to know how to do their JOBS!!!!
I spoke to another supervisor on 8-12-19 regarding the incorrect label they e-mail to FedEx. He then placed me on hold and came back to the phone asking me for the e-mail address for FedEx which I was not understanding because the e-mail address should have been in the notes on their side because I had already given it to a previous supervisor and she e-mailed it to FedEx as I stated earlier it was not the correct one.. I had to ask FedEx AGAIN for the e-mail and I then gave it to the supervisor Brian ** who I spoke with on 8 12-19. He then emailed the same incorrect label to FedEx they had received the first time!! I had to tell him AGAIN this is the same label the other women supervisor had sent to FedEx and it was incorrect by then. You can only imagine where my blood pressure had risen!! I told the supervisor Brian ** to stay on the line until he sent the correct label to FedEx for the third time!
Finally the third label Brian ** sent was correct and on its way. This nightmare of the stroller went! ALL of the supervisors and customer service representatives I had spoken to from the 6th of August up to the 12th of August has been extremely stressful as well as time consuming because the people they have working at Chewy.com are INCOMPETENT!!! To say the least! I also have been calling for my credit to be placed back on my credit card and to date has not been done and it is now the 14th of August going on the 15th tomorrow they have their item. I WANT MY CREDIT BACK ON MY CREDIT CARD SO I CAN PAY FOR MY OTHER STROLLER I HAD TO BUY FOR MY ANIMAL!
I have to say am VERY disappointed with all This unnecessary STRESS AND WASTE OF MY TIME THAT CHEWY.COM HAS PUT ME AS WELL AS MY SPECIAL NEEDS SEVEN POUND DOG THROUGH!! After this horrific experience I have been through and still waiting for my refund I will no longer recommend anyone of my friends or family members etc to order from Chewy.com!!!!

I placed an order for $232 yesterday. I got an alert this morning that my bank account was overdrawn. They removed the $232 but placed an additional hold on $215. I called and they said this was common practice for them and the hold would come off at midnight. I don't understand. They already were holding/withdrawing the amount for the purchase. I do a lot of online shopping and have never had this issue before with any other company. Will never buy from them again!!

I have always been on the cautious side about purchasing online. However, my husband and I really liked the two doggy car seats for a upcoming trip. The price was good so I made the purchase only to wake up to my credit company email stating that Chewy.com has charged my card three different times for the same two items. Then when I called this morning all they could say to me is the charges would fall off and it’s their system which is BS. I will never order from this site again.

I ordered a case of kitten food, a cat litter box, & a few other items. The litter pan has mouse droppings. The case of kitten food has a big hole where the mouse (or mice) chewed through the packaging. The case of kitten food also has mouse droppings. Of course, I see all of this after I touch this stuff. I have to assume the mouse is still in the kitten food case. I’m certainly not going to open it to prove myself wrong. This is just completely unacceptable. I feel like I need a shower after touching this stuff (have washed my hands 5 times in the past 10 minutes). I don’t think I will be giving any more of my money to Chewy.

I was reluctant to try Chewy because I thought their prices would be higher but they are not! A lot of their prices are the same or less expensive than at any of your local stores. I have been a Chewy customer now for probably 3 years and I have never been dissatisfied. If you do have an issue their customer service is stellar. Believe me they will take care of you. If you're not using Chewy for your pet products you are missing out. So very convenient. No I do not work for Chewy nor have I ever. This is an honest review from a satisfied customer.

We followed the tracking number and were informed that our order was sitting in Philadelphia and would remain there, according to customer service, for the next 2 to 3 days, because "they don't deliver on Sunday or Monday." I called and they refunded me and told me to donate or give to someone. They really care for their customers and are customer friendly. I’ve been a Chewy customer for about a year now and finally reached my boiling point! The website on numerous occasions would not recognize my password prompting me to change it almost every time I tried to log in to order products. The final straw was an auto ship that took a couple hundred dollars out of my bank without my consent. I never signed up for auto ship on those products. Chewy’s prices are a little better than some but just not worth the hassles. I just cancelled my account and deleted the app off my mobile device!

I ordered a harness for my dog and it was a little snug, so I figured I should have gone up a size. When I contacted Chewy for an exchange, they asked me to donate the smaller size to a shelter and will send me a new one FREE! I thought that was such great customer service. We have been getting Abby’s diabetic cat food from Chewy.com for about four years. Love the auto ship delivery each month. We recently called to stop the order since we lost Abby. At a difficult time we were very impressed with the caring customer service we received. Like others have mentioned, when we inquired about sending the food back, they asked us to donate it to a shelter. We were shocked. We then received a beautiful bouquet of roses with a heartfelt note from Brenden and Chewy.com. What a class act!!!!

We recently lost our beloved cat Nacho to old age. We called to cancel our subscription and first off, Matthew provided outstanding customer service. He was compassionate to our loss. I have been buying Blue Buffalo bison dog food for my dog since she was little. She has always gobbled it up. This last bag I bought from Chewy - she doesn’t like so much and it’s a struggle for me to get her to eat it all. I emailed Chewy and Blue Buffalo and asked if there had been a change in the recipe. I received no response from Blue Buffalo and an outstanding response from Chewy. They are even sending me a new bag of dog food! Every time I’ve had a question - Chewy customer service goes out of their way to assist me. I will never buy my pet supplies anywhere else.

I recently placed an order, with Chewy.com, that had the wrong product listed on it. I made the error. By the time I noticed my mistake, the order had left the warehouse. Upon contacting Customer Service, Leshondra, pleasantly ordered the intended item, with free shipping, and kindly asked that I donate the original product to my local shelter. As the hour was late, Leshondra could not credit my account at that time. However, she stated that by contacting the department in the AM, the credit would be applied. Rodnesha, also in Customer Service, took care of that transaction the next morning, also pleasantly. Now, that's great customer service!

On 7/26/2019 I placed an order for ** and **. On 7/26 Nicole ** told me approval had been received. On 7/29 Matthew ** told me they had received approval for ** but not for the **. On 7/31 they said an email had been sent to the vet for approval. The vet has approved each request. On 8/1 at 3:10pm Kitty told me they had received approval for ** but not for **. Subsequently she called the vet and was told approval had been sent. However RX@Chewy.com denies having received the approval, despite the fact that they said on 7/26 that it had been received. How Does this matter?
My 8 year old poodle is diabetic and depends on insulin for his health and well-being. I ordered the items more than a week before I would run out. Now we are almost out and still no sign of shipment or willingness to ship. Since Chewy said they recognized approval for **, I canceled the ** in order to free up the critically needed ** for immediate shipment. Kitty told me it would be shipped but gave no timeframe for that. With a critical need for well-being at stake, I confess to being horrified by this blatant disregard for a pet's health by a company that purports to support animal safety and health.

I have been doing autoship with Chewy.com for the past year. Every time I make any changes to autoship I get charged double for that change and end up with double the amount of what I’ve ordered. This has happened approximately 4 times this past year. This is too hard on my bank account, to be charged double. The last mistake was $104 x 2 to my checking account and was asked to send back the order in order to get reimbursed. I finally canceled my autoship, which I should have done in the beginning. I would not advise other people to do the autoship with Chewy.

Like many have reported, I called to find out about returning a bag of prescription food purchased from Chewy for a pet we had to put down. They refunded the money right away and asked that we donate the food to a local shelter in their name. The food was $80. I was stunned! Then today I received a dozen roses with a thoughtful card from Chewy expressing the condolences for our loss. I mean, I'm just shocked. What awesome customer service!! I find their prices competitive if not better than other pet supplies, and I love their auto ship feature. I'm in love with Chewy!

We put our wonderful Great Dane down unfortunately and we had a lot unopened dog food left. We wanted to return the food. Spoke with Melanie. She refunded the money and told me to donate the food to a shelter. That was so nice and then we get a nice bouquet of flowers in sympathy of our loss. I will comment on the checkout process using their smartphone app. I went to checkout my order on my Android and the last text box I filled out was the promo code box. I don't know if I hit Return on my phone's keyboard or just totally disregarded the "Apply" button, but because I didn't hit that Apply button, my promo code (which would resulted in a 40% discount) wasn't applied to my order. I emailed my promo code to Chewy right away using their provided support email and I received a response less than a couple hours later with them willing to fulfill the discount after I received my items, no questions asked. I emailed them again the next morning and received a response in less than 20 minutes. This painless process is leaving me a happy customer. Thank you Chewy support team!

They have everything you need for your pet, their prices are outstanding and they make it just too easy to order. I started using them for my pet's prescriptions and prescription foods and not only did I save money, but all I had to do was enter my vet's name and they took care of everything quickly. When I recently lost my 13 year old dog, I had just purchased his food. I called and asked if I could return the unopened cans and bags. They credited me for my full order and told me to donate it to my local shelter in my pet's name. As if that wasn't touching enough...three days letter I received a bouquet of flowers with a condolence card. All companies can learn from Chewy.com on how to run a large corporation with a small business personal touch.

As I indicated above for years I have received broken or untaped boxes open with dog food or supplements. Cracked bottles of shampoo and conditioner spilled all over food and other items due to poor packing. For years I have called to complain. THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE UNTIL THEY RECEIVED THE BAD ITEM BACK so my dogs often would have to eat real food, be without liver supplements....
NOW, although they admitted to receiving last return and they have proof of FEDEX picking up and scanning they have refused to refund me. I have gone to the Attorney General's office in the state of their corporate headquarters as well as the Better Business Bureau and they are lucky I did not send health inspector for the some of the conditions which they sent me dog food -- also once when buying a ball, I received a very dirty, scratch ball!!!!

I am disgusted with Chewy Rx services. NEVER should you be put in a position to find out your insulin script has expired the day BEFORE your auto shipment is due to arrive. Sounds like a simple problem to solve but not so much if you have recently moved, and something like this occurs over the weekend. Compounding the problem are customer service people who are friendly, but don’t know what they are talking about. I lost valuable time trying to solve the problem with a rep who told me I could scan and email the script I had. This of course was wrong! Chewy Rx- if you have the technology to push me emails constantly asking me to buy things, how about an email that says, “ WARNING-your RX has expired. Please have your vet contact us with a renewal or your next auto shipment will be canceled.”

I have been ordering from Chewy.com for over a year and love them. I have had several occasions to contact customer service, mostly because I submit my order and forget to get something. Every time I contact them whether it be by phone, email or live chat I have always had excellent service. Tonight I had to contact them because my order was delivered and in pretty bad shape, I had gotten litter and cat milk as well as other items and the litter crushed the cat milk and well a hot weekend in a FedEx truck and you can probably guess how nice all the items were. I called Chewy’s customer service and in less than 5 minutes my concerns were addressed and a replacement shipment was on its way. They have the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. I would recommend anyone with animals to use Chewy for all their pets needs.

My second purchase experience with Chewy: While waiting to n my package (at home in clear sight of my front door at 6:28 pm) my I checked my tracking status which said “out for delivery”. I checked again. As late as 8:15 pm it still said out for delivery. I commented that it was odd they deliver that late. This morning the tracking status said delivered at 6:30 pm which was impossible given I had a clear line of vision through my security screen door. Chewy doesn’t have access to the shipping/delivery details of their own package to identify the discrepancy. I even have timestamped screenshots of the delivery status. Nobody at Chewy can explain and their customer service resolution is to reship for delivery in 3 days. Very dissatisfied. I wish I had just made a trip to a local pet store.

Up until December 2018, I would have given Chewy 5 stars for customer service, shipping speed, etc., especially having been a customer since around 2015, trying to exclusively buy my products from them. It was this trust in them that prompted me to try their American Journey Lamb dog food for my three dogs (ages 2, 8 and 13). This kibble is Chewy's own brand. Two days into the switch (when they still got half and half of the old and new kibble), all 3 dogs exhibited increased thirst. I didn't think anything of it, since I chalked it up to kibble adjustment. Some days later (no more than a week) when they were mostly on just the American Journey kibble, my three dogs' thirst could not be quenched and they were licking their own urine out of their crates (I separate for food time).
My oldest dog became so incontinent and so thirsty, I had to keep her on thick blankets and towels as she was unable to hold her bladder at all and she was getting skinny and looking lethargic and sick. I removed the American Journey kibble and a few days later, all dog started to improve. The other two made a full recovery, but my oldest dog did not and it was a around Christmas, so I took the first available vet appointment where they did a urinalysis and blood work. Her BUN was about 60 and creatinine at 1.9.... all other levels were normal. I told my vet that this happened after feeding the American Journey kibble and that it worsened as I reduced their old kibble.
I went back to the vet a month or two later for a recheck (now being forced to suddenly put her on a kidney friendly diet) and her BUN went down to 50 and her Creatinine rose to 2.0. The vet said she was not sure if the kidney damage could be reversed at the first draw, but on the second one I asked what stage she was at, and she said stage 2. She has her neck recheck October 2019. I called Chewy.com, and the rep was nice and refunded my order of their kibble. They told me to donate the dog food, which I did not. I kept a few for samples and the bag and tossed out the food so as to not make any shelter dogs sick. I called the shelter I adopted my dog from in 2007, to warn her about getting open bag donations as soon as I realized it was the kibble making my dogs sick, and she had JUST received 2 to 4 open bags of this kibble. She threw them out.
I then left a respectful 1 star review, honest, with the vet details, on Chewy.com's website so that other consumers were aware. Chewy.com sent me an email asking if there was anything they could do, which I didn't have the emotions to deal with because I was, at the time, not sure if my dog would live. What I DIDN'T realize right away was that they review of their kibble! I confronted Chewy.com on Facebook about this, and I believe I may have replied to the email about this, but I can't remember. I posted that they removed my review and that the kibble made my dogs sick with kidney stress and that after feeding American Journey kibble, my oldest dog went from healthy before their kibble to now having stage 2 kidney disease!
Here is where the lies start: Chewy sent me many Facebook messages, stating first that their reviews are scanned by a third party and graphic reviews are automatically removed and that it never posted (but it did. I could see it for a few days). My review wasn't graphic in any way. THEN they told me that they DID see my review. So if they saw it, and I did too. I guess a third party program doesn't automatically remove reviews. THEN I was told Chewy would test their kibble, and how sorry they were. All the while I was waiting for these results, they were offering me all sorts of free stuff, from toys to treats, especially Wysong ferret food and 24 lbs. bags of Instinct dog food (the food they had been on for about 5 years). I refused all of these as what I REALLY wanted was transparency and honesty.
The results never came... 2 months later, I post on their Facebook yet again to get their attention and they tell me "oh there is nothing wrong with the kibble". I asked for proof they tested it, but they wouldn't provide any. They said they could not divulge any information about the factory the kibble was made in or the test results. I posted this on Facebook for all to see, about how I was lied to. Another rep said that I was the only one having issues with the kibble (which is not true because people were posting on Facebook complaining about it, the 1 star reviews they DID keep on their site said their new picky dogs wouldn't eat it, or got sick somehow, and I had found another woman on Dog Food Advisor who said that her dogs also got sick on this kibble, only it caused liver damage in her dog and he was on an IV drip.
Having already been through this, I believe her. On the same site I read that a woman found plastic in their kibble, and another found whole feathers (I believe they stated it was two separate bags too). I unliked their page and gave up.. disgusted, betrayed and hurt that my dog almost died from being fed this kibble and that my other two could have met the same fate had I not caught it so early... Then comes their relentless sponsored ads on Facebook. They said their kibble is USA made, but other ingredients are from other countries, which some people didn't like, and MANY people asked about their factory and they lacked transparency with this. I saw more Facebook posts of them bending the truth about their kibble or omitting information. I then thought if i was forced to see these ads and since Chewy won't keep reviews up, I'd post my review there.
They kept messaging me on Facebook. I said if they wanted to gain my trust back, they could put the review back up and cover two vet bills (not any recurring ones that she will have now after feeding this kibble). They THEN said they could send the vet records for review for reimbursement, but said my vet had to write a statement that the kibble was the sole cause of all 3 dogs being sickened (which is IMPOSSIBLE for any vet to do unless you were to get a blood test on all of your dogs the day before you switch their kibble. Even then, outside of a lab, no vet will say that was the sole cause due to the process of science (control groups and variable groups).
So I told them to stop sending me messages that they will help when they had no intention of helping. Finally someone said "a statement would help, so send the receipts and records in." I did that... they made me wait again, and here I am typing this review. They kept saying they needed a statement: not bloodwork, not urinalysis or lab results, a statement. They then told me to go to ANOTHER vet to write a statement and get another blood test done... which is stupid because she had two done already and no vet would ever do that.
The average consumer does not know how or where to test kibble. It's also VERY costly to the average consumer, and Chewy, having lied to me so many times and denying everything even when faced with their own screenshots, was never intending to test their kibble, keep my review up or make this up to me. I will never get my dogs' health back. Buyer beware. She is also my emotional support dog who used to be a service dog that I retired from age since I'm disabled with PTSD, so needless to say, this was an extra hard blow and dealing with Chewy has bee been devastating not just to my dogs' health, but to my own as well. I filed a complaint with the FDA. I hope something will come of it and I hope no more dogs will be sickened. So yes.. Chewy is great and nice and does refunds, but they won't ever care or take responsibility for their kibble making my dogs sick.

I've been using Chewy.com for all my cat's food and litter for several years. Customer service is exemplary. Any time I've contacted them, the the agent has been friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Items always arrive either on time or early. Prices are competitive with anywhere. They use ecological paper-based packaging. Recently they sent me a vase of beautiful flowers just from my mentioning to an agent that one of my kitties had passed away. Wish there were more than 5 stars to give.

I have been a loyal Chewy customer for a few years now. Have contributed positive reviews of their service and products and brought many new customers to them. A few weeks ago, Chewy went public. Now that they're public, evidently, they're going to hose their loyal customer base who built them up to this point. Not only is this extreme arrogance on their part, this is the epitome of greed.
A few days ago, I added our usual products to my cart with the intention of checking out after work. When I returned to check out, our cat's favorite food had increased in price by over 450%. It's not even a gourmet food; It just so happens to be one some of our very picky cats will eat. My cats aren't alone. If you read the reviews on this product, many people are in the same boat with their picky cats. A variety pack with 12 cups of food for $26.99 that has historically been available for less than $6 on Chewy and in stores, is completely unacceptable. There is no justifiable logic behind such an increase. I'd even go so far as to suggest Chewy is worthy of a good old fashioned boycott by PETA for potentially causing cats all across this nation to now go hungry. THIS is why so many people can't afford to feed their pets. Especially people with multiple cats.
I can't understand a price increase, but by over 450%? No. It's a travesty and so utterly insulting to do to your loyal customers and their pets. I am so ashamed that I have promoted this company positively and contributed to this level of greed. Not to mention, if you have this product in any of your auto ships, BEWARE: They will charge you the new price without warning. This week, Chewy became an official enemy of cats. Nobody mistreats my cats without also becoming my enemy. I want to know how any executives and entry level customer services representatives sleep at night knowing this is causing cats to go hungry. I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB next.

After spending minutes to order my cats preferred dry and wet food (hard to find), I saved myself an hour and half of driving and 40 minutes standing in store lines -- and maybe going home without enough twin-packs of the RIGHT flavor. Even paying the flat rate shipping, I saved money and the package arrived in two days. Prices are very competitive for name brand foods. Thanks Chewy!

Chewy is the most wonderful place. Receive my order very quickly. But the reason I’m writing is because of the recent passing of my dog Sadie. I received flowers from them with a sympathy note. I just called in to customer service because I am trying to log in to my personal account. I could not log in and so I hit the “Forgot my password” button. I did this twice and each time it could not log me in after I reset the password and told me to call customer service. I called and was told “sorry there is nothing I can do as I can’t ask your password.” Customer Service rep resent the link to change my password, and again it told me to call customer service. I asked her if she could put me in touch with someone that could help and she said “if I called my supervisor she would tell you the same thing and we can’t help.”
I was so surprised and said that she realized that meant I could not order anything any more - she said, “yeah not with this account....” WHAT?? So that means I cannot order from you any more because customer service can’t help. WOW!! And surprising as other people have been saying how great customer service has been in the past - this is definitely NOT my experience. I since received a response to an email with the above that said they were understood but were sorry to see me go. Uh - that is not customer service. Moving on to order from someone that cares.

I used to love shopping at Chewy.com. I do cat rescue here and finding a reputable outlet for cat food is very important to me. What bugs me so much about Chewy is that their prices change by the hour it seems. I put things in the cart, and the next day I'll go there and they've gone up by several dollars. I called Chewy today to speak to a supervisor about this. He argued with me the entire call (name was Shane in the "L" Department). He told me I need to be "loyal to my pets" by only shopping at Chewy. When I can get the same food at Amazon for $5.00 less, free delivery and no tax, I buy it there. Why can't they be consistent with their pricing? Shane says it's because Chewy only wants to give us the best price available, but they are not. I can find it cheaper almost anywhere.
I took tons of stuff off autoship and am buying at Walmart, Pet Supplies Plus, Amazon or Ebay. When I have a dozen cats to feed, it's important to find the best prices, and this is way too confusing. I also own Chewy stock which I am selling tomorrow. The supervisor gave me the stupidest answers possible and I'm pretty much done with them now.

I have been using Chewy.com for about two years now and my experience has been the best. All orders are received within two days. When there was a recall for a brand of dog food I was using, they issued free return shipping and refunded me without any questions. Sadly, my dog passed away recently. When I called to inquire about returning the recently purchased dog food/supplies, they told me to just donate the items to a local shelter and they issued me a refund. Additionally, they sent a lovely bouquet of flowers which brightened up my mood during an extremely sad moment. The people at Chewy truly care about their customers and I would definitely recommend them to all pet owners.

I order cat food and supplies from Chewy at least monthly, spending more than $100. I have yet to receive an order within the 1-2 day time frame. I live in Western Colorado and am within 50 miles of 2 different FedEx shipping hubs. My last 2 orders took 7 days to arrive and Customer Service says it's because the only warehouse that has the products I order is in Ocala, Fla. I don't understand how a business can run successfully under such false promises.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I have been getting autoship dog food for quite a while and really liked the convenience. I recently lost my dog and forgot to cancel the auto ship. When I contacted customer service I was told to donate the food and they credited my cc. A few days later I received a bouquet of flowers with the kindest sympathy card from Chewy. My two dogs were on prescription dog food. They passed away within two weeks of each other. I received numerous messages of condolences from their customer service team. Very touching. They even sent me a little picture and sympathy card. I had two dozen leftover cans of the prescription dog food left over. They credited me and told me to just donate the food, which I did to a grateful shelter.

Chewy is a ripoff site with bait & switch tactics designed to only benefit their money obsessed business model. Agents will basically promise you everything under the sun until they get your money....THEN, the real deal shows itself. Item are never shipped on time. Major hold ups with pharmacy. CHewy will blame the vet for not submitting faxes (although vets have proof otherwise that they responded with a return fax). CHewy is unable to provide direct fax receipt numbers (which tells the full story here).
I bought and received ** from CHewy. They were thrown in some random container without silica or any protection or expiration date and the meds did not work. Called the makers of **, and was told this is not the correct way to sell this medication as it should be in an official ** sealed bottle that is sold from the ** company. I was warned by the ** company that any reseller that sells this med in an un-sealed unofficial ** bottle is likely not a reputable company. Hello Chewy. My dog is currently in unbelievable pain as a result of the meds not working. Chewy stance is, "Hey ahhhh you need to return the meds before we can issue new meds or a refund." I can't afford to put out another $180 for a second batch of ** and Chewy simply doesn't care to take ANY responsibility for any of it.
So now I have a dog in pain, a bottle of non working **, and CHewy expects me to return this item before giving me a refund, leaving my dog in pain and I have no way to afford new medication for for my dog.... If you think that this is a quality experience, then by all mean this is the company for you. My take? Stay far away from this company. They will run you over and leave you dry at a blink of an eye and without any remorse or options.

Ordered a dog bowl. They sent a bowl wrapped in bubble wrap in a box that was too big with no packing to stabilize the bowl. They tried 3 times to send the bowl. Each time the bowl was broken. Warehouse is not packing breakables correctly. Waste of time and money. Customer Service seems indifferent to the issue.

Chewy raised the price again to $78 for my dog's food. That's $3.25 per can! It's much cheaper at my vet's and at other online shopping companies. It was just $2.40 a can just a little over a year ago. This is ridiculous and I've never seen a company raise their prices so drastically in such a short amount of time.

This review is regarding the AUTO SHIP they offer for Prescriptions ONLY... Chewy offers auto ship which means you can pick a date your order will be shipped out each month. My dog is diabetic & blind and gets insulin 2x a day. I have the insulin & syringes set on auto ship to ship 1 week before I will need it. Problem is, they don't get the prescription approved before it's supposed to get shipped, instead on the day it's supposed to ship I get an email stating "Thanks for your prescription Chewy order! Our pharmacists are reviewing your information and will ship your items as soon as possible!" So I made several calls with Chewy & told them it was an emergency, I need the prescription ASAP & it needs to go out overnight. (They just tell you what you want to hear) "I will notify the Pharmacy & it will ship right away." 2 days later I get an email stating "Your order was Shipped."
When I go track it, it's going to be another 2 days before I get it. (Note, it was supposed to ship 7/12/19, I am not receiving it until exactly 1 week later 7/19/19.) This is very frustrating. This is NOT the 1st time this happened with Chewy. I suggested several times in my phone calls to have my vet give refills instead of Chewy having to contact them each time it's supposed to ship. Today I noticed that there are now refills on my account after many phone calls and a very nasty email that I didn't want to send but I was so angry, I hit the send button anyway and came right to Consumer Affairs to write this review. I am seriously thinking of switching to 1-800-Pet-Meds if my next order does not get to me when I expect it. I may just switch for the heck of it because I am so disappointed.

Chewy.com is one of the most impressive companies I have had the pleasure of being a customer of. Not only are they convenient and efficient with getting me my orders, but their customer service goes above and beyond the calling. Now every company has hiccups and makes mistakes especially in this day and age where everything is ran by computer ordering, but Chewy has taken every step to make sure their customer service is easily accessible via email or phone and their representatives are always happy to speak with you.
I have had a few orders come in wrong either from their error or my own (I ordered the wrong cat litter) as they do not do returns on the products I had, they advise me to give the product to a shelter and they resend me what I need, free of cost. To add to their top notch customer service, they also have send Birthday, Christmas and condolence cards (happily I’ve not the need for any condolence cards, but I’ve had friends who have received them). Now if this customer service does not impress you, I’m not sure what will. Chewy.com truly cares for their customers and I’m proud to be one.

I ordered four items totaling 145.00 by charge card. Then, I my card was charged again as items were shipped. I called the 24hr support line and was told that this was typical for billing and takes 24-48 hours to release the hold which ties up that money for my use. I won't be doing any future business with Chewy and cancelled my account.

First of all my first order contained a large bag of dog food that was opened and taped shut with packaging tape. My 3rd order they charged my credit card the price of my order. I wake up to another charge from Chewy. So I call them and they tell me because some items come from a different warehouse, they too will charge your credit card the cost of the item coming from that warehouse but will credit it back within 3-10 business days. That is absolutely unacceptable! So you charge me for my order and then break down the order and charge me again and I have to wait 3-10 business days to get that money back? This is not how a good business conducts themselves! I WILL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN AND I WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT MY EXPERIENCES!

I placed my first order with chewy.com on Friday morning, July 12 2019. I received an email later that day that it had shipped. I received follow up shipment email Monday morning Jul 15. My order, which consisted of 2 boxes was delivered at 3:30 pm on Monday!! Ordered Friday. Received Monday! You can't beat that. I am very disappointed in the choice of delivery services that Chewy has chosen to employ/contract with. They use (among other companies) OnTrac which has a horrible reputation as a delivery service (one star on Yelp) and this choice led to my dog becoming very sick. Chewy, by choosing to use OnTrac, failed to deliver my dogs special food for his allergies within the guaranteed time frame and he became very, very sick when I was forced to feed him other food. The food he eats to control his allergies is only available online.
I was also very disappointed that Chewy wasn't honest about their delivery window. I ordered on a Thursday night with guaranteed 1-2 day delivery. By Saturday, the food wasn't here and a supervisor at Chewy claimed I didn't order the food until Friday so they had until Monday to deliver it within the time frame because deliveries don't occur on Sundays. I'm sorry... Are you serious?? Be honest and take responsibility. Very disappointed.

I have a 9-year old Goldendoodle who has diabetes and food allergies. I order her food from Chewy.com, very recently she has decided to stop eating her dry food (I buy the wet food too). I called tonight and spoke with a representative. She was wonderful! She told me my account would be credited within 3 to 5 business days for the $85.79 for the cost of the food! To top it off, she told me to just donate the food to a shelter! I cried out of pure happiness! What a wonderful, caring company! I called into customer service who told me to wait until the 13th and still no items today. I called customer service. Items were replaced but now I won't get them until Thursday which is too late. I had an 11 and a half year old Great Dane who I obtained his pain medications from Chewy. I recently had to put him down. I called them up to cancel his prescription. I LOVE Chewy.com. They are a very personable company with great deals. My neighbor has a painting of her dogs that one of the customer service reps painted her for free. They also send monthly coupons and hand write Christmas cards. I have been ordering my Golden Retriever weight loss food for a few months now and the food is always delivered on time, and I can edit my auto-ship whenever needed. I was a customer that received monthly shipments. I needed to cancel the service because the day of my last shipment, my cat of 19 years passed away....the product is no longer needed. When I called Andrea in Customer service she was very empathetic and offered to reimburse me if I wanted to send the product back. I had already paid and donated the product so no issues, I was not looking for money back, just to notify I didn't need product shipped monthly.
A few days later I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers in memory of Miss Kitty. I cannot express the overwhelming feeling I had knowing that she cared so much to send the flowers. I brought them to work to enjoy them; people asked what was the occasion. When I shared who sent them, they were so impressed. I also spoke with Vickie about an issue and again, such wonderful customer service!!! It truly is the Golden Glove treatment from Chewy.com. I was comparison shopping for a new food for my cat. I was pleasantly surprised and was able to purchase not only a better brand at a better price but also a few new toys. Shipping was free and it arrived within two days. Unfortunately, one of the toys arrived broken. I immediately contacted Chewy and was told to dispose of the broken toy and they would refund the price of it. Wow! I did not expect that! I cannot say enough about this company. It would be nice if more companies would follow their example. Their prices are great, their shipping is fast and their customer service is fantastic. They answer their contacts so quickly. You absolutely cannot go wrong ordering from Chewy.com.

I have always had a positive experience with Chewy.com, but when my dog recently passed away they couldn’t have been more accommodating and compassionate. I had an unopened bag of dog food for my auto ship. I asked if I could return the package to them, but instead of requiring me to send back, they credited me for the unopened bag of dog food and requested that I donate to an animal shelter. On top of that, a few days later, they sent me an arrangement of flowers with a sympathy note for the loss of my pet. It was so thoughtful and sincerely appreciated. Not many companies I know these days that would take the time and or money for such a kind gesture.

So I have ordered from Chewy several time and has never had a complaint. I ordered again about a week ago and got my package on time as usual but I ordered a crate that is a little too small for my dog. I emailed the company and received an email that was not only super helpful but amazingly understanding. Not only did they offer me a refund but suggested I donate the other crate to our local animal shelter. They really seemed like they cared about me and my pet going as far as asking what his name was. I will definitely continue to use the Chewy site.

Free two day shipping says nowhere on website about 5-day warehouse handling time. Two days later I got a refund and the item was still in the warehouse never sent. Would have at least appreciated a $20 gift card to their store for the extra amount buying in store cost vs an actual two day shipping from Amazon. Was shopping online to save money and they cost me money by lying and giving me no time to save with an online purchase. The in-store purchase was only about $20 extra but principle they should have given me credit to something in their store at very least. I woke up this morning to two separate charges for two separate amounts. When I called I was informed they were just holding my money twice. My order was being filled from 2 different warehouses so each one was charging me (why the amounts were different they couldn't explain). The warehouse that was sending me $5 bag of treats charged me over $50 as well as the warehouse that filled the rest of my order. I'm shopping on Amazon from now on where this type of criminal behavior isn't practiced.

Every time I had to speak to a representative they were amazing. They helped make sure to get the right food for him and they gave us a refund for the food once he passed. When we came home yesterday we had beautiful flowers waiting for us on our front door, to let us know they were sorry for our loss. What an amazing and caring company! Thank you!

This is the first time I've ordered from Chewy.com. I got a coupon in mail and decided to give them a try. Bought two 16-lb bags of dry cat food and received them in 2 days. I was trying to find the expiration date on one of the bags and realized the tape. I thought maybe they put the tape to make sure it doesn't burst open during transport. I carefully removed it, expecting a fully sealed bag; but to my surprise the only thing that was holding the food from outside air was that regular tape. Both bags are like that. They apparently sent opened and re-sealed bags. What a great way to gain a customer.

On July 2, 2019 I made my first purchase..the Pet Gear Easy Step II extra wide. I have a 12yr old American Bulldog/Boxer who was just diagnosed with Diabetes. He has been unable to jump up onto the bed, from weakness. So, I ordered the steps to try to help him. The order was supposed to be 1-2 day FREE SHIPPING on any order over 49.00. My order qualified for this. I was told that because of the 4th of July being 2 days away, it would probably show up on Friday. I was fine with that. No package on Friday, so I went to the tracking site. It told me that I would receive it, today July 6th. Got home from work and still no package.
I went to the tracking site again, and this time it said it would arrive on July 9th!! I called customer service, and the gal had no clue as to why my package is being delayed. I'm steamed about this, but kept my cool on the phone...it wasn't her fault, and I know that. I was thinking about starting to order the insulin that will be needed for my dog through Chewy, but after this, I've changed my mind. I couldn't imagine ordering insulin and NOT getting it when needed. As a first time buyer to this company, looking forward to the "fast" free shipping speedy delivery for my dog, and NOT getting that service, it leaves a bad taste. I highly recommend Chewy.com; I have had a few issues with orders and have had the best customer service experiences so despite any problems, I will continue using them above any other store or service. In the past, I have received an order with an item missing; one call and the item shipped immediately. This week, I sent a picture of a can of cat food that got completely crushed in delivery, they said they would replace the entire case, and sent me a case of dog food by mistake; I let them know about the mistake and told them we have a dog, no worries, and thank you for making the effort, we didn't expect more food... and they apologized and sent out of case of the correct food. I wasn't expecting replacement at all, just wanted them to ship it differently so it didn't crush again.
I appreciate them going above and beyond. The best so far has been a leash we are donating to the shelter we adopted our dog from; we adopted him this year and ordered a leash that is way too big, I made a mistake and wanted to exchange it. I reordered a new leash, and they told me don't return the old one, DONATE IT TO A SHELTER!!! How wonderful is that? That's a good company. I highly recommend them.

First time - and last time - user of their prescription service. Unlike their competitors, Chewy needs you to find an envelope & stamp and mail them the original copy of your prescription. Their competitors (e.g. Petco, 1-800, etc) allow you send in a PDF scan of the prescription. I personally never use the post office - about 98% of my transactions are completed online. I had to go & find an envelope that wasn't attached to a greeting card & buy stamps. I know it sounds silly, but it took me several days to get this completed. Chewy apparently takes a while to process your paper, which resulted in my order getting cancelled. They told me it was because I had another auto-ship scheduled. Rather than CALL me and ask if they could delay the order while the paper was on its way, they outright cancelled the order. This was after I called their customer service, told them the paper was on its way & assured that my order would not be cancelled.
The issue here is while the service folk are nice, their systems are backwards. And their CSR teams also sometimes provide inconsistent responses. Don't assure me that it will be fine when you basically create more inconvenience. You're a digital company - get with the program and allow PDF uploads. Or even better, let's use fax machines or telex machines while we're at it. Seriously this whole process was a joke. Every assurance I was given turned out to be a lie.
