    We had a problem with our pup eating and asked Chewy for recommendations, Three different customer service reps sent us emails with suggestions and follow-ups. Their suggestions worked great and she took right off. Reasonable prices, outstanding shipping and wonderful customer service. That's a trifecta you can't beat!

    Free shipping, automatic regular shipping of food always delivered on time and without issue since we started using them in 2016. The few times I have needed to talk to customer service (both times due to my needing to make a last minute change), they have been great. Now we only go to pet store because our dogs enjoy the outing and they support our rescue with adoption days.

    Communication has been difficult in getting the special product required by our veterinarians. There were great stumbles in getting all the ducks in a row. It was finally solved but with great difficulty.

    Wish there were shipping fee reduction lower than $89. Other sites offer better shipping rates that arrive a lot faster. But the boxes are sturdy and everything arrives in perfect condition. I like to use this store because of the customer service.

    Chewy's customer service goes above and beyond. Would give them a 10 on this if I could. Orders usually arrive at your door in 1-2 days. Easy to work with customer service. They even send Christmas cards and personalized notes. Feels like family...

    They have everything I need for my 2 cats, from glucosamine capsules for my older arthritic male to pet fountain and cat tree and toys for my younger one. Their prices are very good for the most part and delivery is fast and accurate. I am very pleased with their customer service when something rarely goes wrong. Lately, however, I have been finding significantly lower prices elsewhere for Blue Mountain dry food, leading me to discontinue autoship.

    I love the selection of products. My household has five different types of animals and they carry supplies for all. The prices are very comfortable and delivery just makes it even better. Friendly customer service is available for any questions and has even helped me find books on carry for babies.

    Chewy adds new products for animals that Amazon discontinued last year. The customer services people listen to what you need for your pet and try to get the product in for you. They a vast array of items in their warehouse and delivery is 2 day.

    I placed a rather large order I do every month, for my animals. I have no issue with ordering dry goods. If the order is placed by 9am it arrives at my door next day. Different story with the pharmacy, My dog is diabetic so he is on insulin. I thought I would try to order from Chewy. After 4 days the insulin is still stating "preparing for shipment". So I contact customer service and they tell me it was approved by my Vet clinic. It should ship out in the next couple of days, I told them that was acceptable, and "I will call you back." I call my Vet clinic and ask them when did they approved the script with chewy, they told me the 4 days ago. I call chewy back and explain again with the exception of what my Vet Clinic told me, now she tells me that the vet clinic approved it today and it will ship now in the next 3 days. Which would be a Sunday at the latest, so who is lying. My Vet Clinic or Chewy?

    I explain to her I just got off the phone with my Vet and they approved it 4 days ago. I never got a response back. Then she tells me that the pharmacy items are shipped out of different state that is the reason for the delay in shipping, I believe they are using a second party vendor and once the order is transferred, no telling how long it will take. So with my experience I wouldn't use the pharmacy department with Chewy. A $7.00 savings is not worth it.

    I accidentally had an auto ship sent out too soon. It was for Nexgard thus was sent thru the pharmacy. I tried on two different occasions to return this auto ship and both times was told by customer service that they would be emailing me a return label. It has been about two months now but not surprisingly they have been able to send my other auto ships. Going to give 1-800 Pet Meds a try.

    Always go here for discounted dog food. Chewy has excellent options, same as I would find in a store if not better, and quick easy shipping makes it much easier than carrying food around. The prices seem to always be comparable if not cheaper than local pet stores and even Amazon.

    They have great sales and ease of use is above par. We left our dogs with my grandmother after a recent move (the housing we were forced to use didn't allow dogs). Since she's over a thousand miles away, the fact that there's a monthly subscription that automatically assures that our animals will have food is great. We have 3 kids so not having to worry about pet food is wonderful considering the day to day stresses of a large family. Never had an issue with late delivery or questionable sales tactics. Grateful for the service provided.

    This is an amazing company with amazing employees. The best part is the heavy stuff is delivered to your door. No more dragging big bags of food in and out of the car. They are eager to help if you have a question and they work hard to fix any issues you have. When a bag of food arrived damaged, I sent in a few pictures and they immediately replaced the entire order. And .. the the most touching thing... I called once to cancel a medication order because my beloved collie had passed. The next day, the most beautiful flowers and the sweetest card arrived at my home. They have my loyalty for life! Oh, and they have a huge selection of food, treats and toys and I really like that you can read reviews.

    EXCEPTIONAL customer service. I bought a brush for my dog that got great reviews, but it didn't work for either of my pups. It was essentially a $15 waste of money. I posted a review to warn others with medium hair dogs that it wouldn't be a good choice, but I didn't return the brush thinking it wasn't worth the hassle and loss of shipping costs. But to my surprise, unsolicited, Chewy Customer Service sent me an email saying they'd read the review and they were refunding the brush - no need to send it back. In addition, they spent the time to look up a couple of alternatives that might work better based on my comments. I'm sold. I'll happily shop at Chewy.com from now on.

    Just started using Chewy.com and had a great deal with a coupon. Then I was hooked. I received my rat food which had a little hole in the bag.. They sent a whole new bag of food for free. Also had one of my boxes opened sent cat food and rat litter for free. Then my rat died. They refunded bedding money, sent lovely emails and just today I received a card and roses. Love my chewy.

    Chewy is biased towards dogs and their target audience is dog owners. They don’t tailor their email responses to their audience. They assume everyone is a dog owner/lover, using boilerplate language like “give us a bark if you need anything else” and “have a tail wagging great day” even if you contact them regarding a cat product.

    They have numerous tv commercials, almost entirely of dogs. In the rare occurrence there is a cat, it’s in the background, hardly noticeable. In one commercial, a spokeswoman talks about not having to lug heavy cat litter from the store, yet there isn’t a single cat in the commercial—only dogs! I contacted their corporate office and told them given cats outnumber dogs in pet ownership, I would think they would want to target cat owners as well, but instead they project themselves as being biased towards dogs by excluding cats from their commercials. The fact they never responded is very telling.

    They are selective in which negative reviews they post. They only post negative reviews that are inane (ex. product stinks, pet didn’t like it). They wouldn’t post my review which provided constructive criticism and scientific evidence—product caused diarrhea and vomiting even after ruling out other possible causes—because they didn’t want it to impact their bottom line—sales. There are plenty of pet retailers who love cats and who appreciate the business and feedback of their owners. And Petco and Entirely Pets will match other retailers’ prices.

    I bought 53 dollars worth of stuff and they took out over 100 dollars and said it was a just in case. WTF. What just in case we didn’t notice. Y’all are crooks and if that was all I had in my bank account I would of been screwed. I have a family, bills and other stuff. I will never use Chewy again ever for nothing!!!!

    First let me say for several years I thought Chewy.com set the bar on pricing and Customer Service. Perhaps the sale to PetSmart initiated changes. Perhaps Chewy.com believes Customers will stay for price only. Chewy.com only can answer why service and support has declined.

    On multiple occasions I have contacted Chewy following receipt of items with feedback on several conditions.
    *Boxes are too heavy to lift and require removing items individually to bring inside.
    *Carriers consistently damage packaging during shipment and retape/repack boxes.
    * Items are often open and/or damaged particularly when shipments include litter.

    *Items in boxes are unsecured and unprotected.

    Chewy advised their shipping policy is up to 60 lb per box. I was advised to split orders to reduce weight. So I did. What happened next was that Chewy held both orders because they felt they may have been made in error. When I checked on orders I was informed they had been cancelled. I have returned to shopping in store at PetSmart / Petco and order prescription food through Chewy's repeat delivery discounted price. Maybe one day Chewy.com will return to doing business the way they did in the beginning when customers mattered. Thank you.

    I am a young adult, therefore it is rare I go to companies for specific customer service, rather just to get something. It's pleasant when I receive good customer service but for the most part if I need something it doesn't matter how I get it. I am the proud owner of my very first dog (by myself, the other dogs were family dogs) and I was nervous about giving her everything she deserves. My parents have always raved about getting stuff online at Chewy, but I genuinely despise ordering/shopping online for anything because I can't see it or touch it before purchasing and it takes so long to get to me - I have a thing for instant gratification. My doberman pinscher rottweiler has a very sensitive digestive system so I needed to order special food for her, so I went to chewy's website so I could get a discount on autoship. After creating a portal I put in all of my girl's info like birthdate and even a picture of her.

    Any time I called chewy I was greeted by the most friendly, positive, upbeat and authentic people I have ever been on the phone with, and it seriously made the rest of my day better. After a while I canceled the autoship so I no longer went to the website, however a few months ago was my birthday. I received something in the mail from chewy and I was confused because I didn't order anything, and all of my close loved ones swore they didn't order me/my dog anything for my birthday. I open it up and it is the most beautiful and realistic hand painted portrait of my dog and a sweet handwritten card saying that the chewy family hopes I enjoy the painting and have a good birthday.

    I am not being dramatic here - I was in tears. This was such a small thing that such a large company did not need to do but they went out of their way for one single customer. It wasn't a discount or a free toy or some computer generated message. They put in time, effort and money for me. I was shook and elated. I framed it and put it on my wall, and I will keep it forever.

    Fast forward and now it's my dog's birthday this Sunday. I checked my mailbox and sure enough chewy had handwritten a card for her saying happy birthday. These little things are just so big to me and are so special. I have never experienced a company like this one. Y'all are too good. When shopping or needing something for a pet, so dear to our hearts and families, it is crucial to get the right stuff and the best stuff. Like I said at the beginning of what is now a short essay, if you need something, it doesn't matter how a company behaves (for the most part) you will get it. So having chewy make buying things for our fur babies pleasant, easy and fun is monumental. Thank you so much chewy. I will always support and shop with you.

    I've been ordering my dog's Rx dogfood from Chewy.com since 8/2019. Every two weeks my order is over $80.00. The food is packaged in cans and over half of the cans are severely dented. If the food was bad I would know when I opened it, but I shouldn't have to worry about it for the price I pay. Ridiculous. Going back to my vet (where the cans aren't dented) for dog food.

    I am a new customer to Chewy.com and this is how they treated me; I bought from them a case of vet prescription food for my sick 18yo cat. I’ve been trying to keep him alive so the vets could figure out what was wrong with him. He went from 27lbs to 8lbs in just a few years. No diet change. Hungry as ever, just was losing weight. Blood tests showed normal. With my first Chewy order, they sent me an email wanting to know all about my two cats. No i letters. Just caring emails from the employees. Then I had to return one order because I thought the cans would be smaller. They refunded me the cost of the food and instead of returning it, they suggested I could donate it to a shelter. Nice. But back to my sick cat and how Chewy turned everything around for me..

    When I received that last order of the script cat food, my Lucky was too far gone and I had to put him to sleep. I wrote to Chewy and told them I’d be glad to send the food back as it was still in the box, unopened. Again, they refunded me the cost and suggested donating the food. But what they did the next day is really why I’m writing this review. I had a knock on my door and buried in my bed, I contemplated not answering it, but I live with my bedridden mother so it may have been an in home caregiver. Wasn’t that. A lady stood at my doorstep holding a very beautiful flower arrangement. I figured it was for mom, but she asked if I was Nancy. “Yes”, I said, quizzically. “These are for you.” How sweet. I figured they were for my loss of Lucky from a friend or family member. Again, wasn’t that.

    There was a handwritten card: “We’re so sorry to hear of your loss of Lucky and our hearts go out to you. We know this time is tough and we’re always here if you need anything. Love, Jeremy, Chewy.com" Of this day and age of form letters and telephone recordings, it was not only a breath of fresh air. It was to me, a lifeline. As I took the flowers to my room, I sat them on the table in my eye line from the bed where I promptly got back in. With the covers over my head, I peered out to look at the flowers and a thought jumped in my head.

    Here are people in a company that cares about people. They get up every day and go to work so they can bring joy to others that may need it more than they know. Regardless of what’s going on in their life, they’re here, thinking of my pain and reaching out in the most beautiful way. If they can do it. So can I. I got out of bed and got ready for the day. Before leaving to go to some animal shelters and get me a pet I could pour all my extra love on, I took one long look at the flowers and note, and because it’s not so heavy now, gathered up my pain to take with me and started my day. Thank you Chewy. You’ve helped me more than you know. I went into a depression and just stayed in bed for awhile.

    Our dog, Joe, was diagnosed with kidney failure a few months ago. The vet prescribed a very expensive dog food. It didn’t take me long to figure out Chewy.com was the cheapest place to get this food. Three months later, Joe quit eating it... And two weeks later quit eating all food, and we had to have him put down. I had just received a shipment of the food, so I inquired about sending it back. When asked the reason, I told them our dog had passed. Five days later, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Chewy.com. What a caring, customer oriented company. When we get our next dog, they have won my loyalty! Thank you Chewy.com for caring!

    A customer service representative just called me from Chewy.com. She thought that it was odd that I had purchased two 15 lbs. bags of dog food on consecutive days. It turns out that I had set my dog's food to "autoship" every four weeks, which was set to ship today. I had forgotten that, and ordered a bag yesterday. When Chewy.com saw that I ordered two bags, my order was flagged so they called to make sure I wanted both bags. I don't want both bags right now and they refunded my money. FANTASTIC SERVICE. Every interaction I have had with Chewy.com has been positive. They even sent me a Christmas card! Thanks for being GREAT and always going above and beyond, Chewy.com. :)

    We had been purchasing some items from Chewy.com for quite a while now for our special needs dog. They have always been super friendly over the phone if I ever needed to call them for anything. Sadly, our dog Skippy recently passed away. I called them to cancel our autoship and ask how we could return unused items. The customer service representative Erica told me not to worry about returning anything - just donate to a local animal shelter and she would gladly refund our money! Additionally, she really took her time speaking with me and offering condolences. I received an e-mail notification 2 days after the call that our money was refunded then today I received a bouquet of flowers from them! I am blown away. I will definitely be a forever customer of Chewy.com!!

    Great alternative to brick and mortar shops. I've used Chewy.com for years now. No longer do I have to lug supplies home. They have everything my family needs even prescription foods. There is now better packaging for the cat litter and no more litter mess outside my front door. I do hope Chewy learns to package the food better though. I had to call about a crushed package and quickly got a replacement. Thank You! If the food had been packaged better I would not have had to call. Any air spaces in the box of 20 pounds of cat food will get crushed by the well packaged 42 lb box of cat litter if it is place on top of the the cat food.

    I spent 30 minutes placing an order with Chewy.com, last night; and then by chance this morning, I see that they cancelled my order. When I phoned to ask them why, they said my order looked like fraud! I asked why they didn't phone me, instead of canceling the order... (I don't look closely, at my 100+ emails I receive daily, so I was really lucky to see the cancellation.)

    So they asked me to verify my address, and the last 4 numbers on my credit card, and then said I could reorder!! I told them to just send the order I had already placed... duh! She said they couldn't, that I would need to reorder. I stated that that was NOT sane, and what would keep them from canceling my next order again!!? I was told that if I reordered I wouldn't be a first time buyer!? (To ME... proof that that company doesn't know what it's doing.) I'll forever never waste my time with Chewy.com.

    Beware Consumers, There are so many companies and thieves thriving on these kind of practices, consumers are very busy with hectic life and forget to report to credit card companies. I have several transactions done in each statement period and if I do not pay attention this type of charges will be forgotten. I tried to find out who they were selling their product using my Chase Sapphire credit card. No help from Chewy.com, instead asked me to file police report and investigate. In my opinion this company is also part of fraud and in business selling online without proper credit card verification and security steps to prevent scammers from using third party cards.

    I do not have pets and never bought anything in my life from this company in my life, they sold and shipped to a thief and charged me for it. They do not get paid when and if and only if a consumer notice or remembers to disputes. However there millions who will not remember or know their right to call for disputes for small charges like $100 or $200, which goes unnoticed. These guys are scammers and they are smart. Customer service of Chewy.com is horrible. I would rate 0 or less if I had a choices. Ramesh **

    My cat is on a prescription food, but I just realized the brand Royal Canin has crap ingredients and charges $72 a baggie it. I wanted to change the brand to Hills same prescription more expensive and better ingredients and was denied. And I was told I need a new script. I explained there is no reason for the script to be changed. It’s the brand. I want better ingredients for my cat. Chris the supervisor was so rude and didn’t seem to give a care about my reasons or my situation. Which is my Vet is ill with cancer and can not write a new script 'cause he has closed his practice that I would have to find a new vet in order to get the script so my cat can eat. I said, "Then maybe I should close my account." He said, "Go ahead. No problem. Bye," and hung up.

    I called back and the person (Anthony) I then spoke to was compassionate and tried to get another supervisor who explained to me policy and unfortunately couldn’t help me either. So even if you don’t change a script but want to change a brand you have to jump through hoops. You're married to the brand even if you find out they are poisoning your pets with crap ingredients. Lesson to all these - read ingredients. Don’t go by a well known brand. They trick you by making you think by paying more you're getting better product. Royal Canin should be ashamed and I am letting them know as well.

    Just want to say that Chewy.com is the most excellent company I’ve dealt with, and I’ve used their products and services for years!! If there’s ANY issue with ANYTHING they fix it IMMEDIATELY!! I just called them two days ago to tell them I’d received a case of my three cats’ favorite canned food but every single can was dented. Before I was even done with my sentence my customer service rep was telling me she’d send me out a replacement case right away & I received it the next day NO CHARGE. They’re just THAT good to their customers!!! I will never use another company for pet supplies!! I always have received their packages within one to two days after ordering. God bless Chewy.com!!!

    FDA release the top 10 dog foods that lead to heart disease/issues and Chewy does nothing but constantly promote Blue Buffalo. Nice to know that this company has your dog's best interest in mind when recommending dog food. I will keep telling people about this until they stop buying from you or your website stops promoting Blue Buffalo.

    I ordered a heated cat house for my feral cat, the original order was placed on Jan 7 to be delivered on Jan 9. When it didn’t come and there was no updated information on FedEx website I called they said I had to wait 6! days. So I waited 6 days and called back for a replacement. Well that went out on Jan 13 to be delivered Jan 15. Well received a email saying my address was wrong, no it’s the correct address so verified that and they said it would be delivered the next day Jan 16. Well it couldn’t get on that truck so now I’m still waiting for my package.

    Chewy has been no help and fed ex has been worse. Everyone lies to you. So chewy has my money. FedEx has my package and I have a headache from dealing with all the idiots at the two places. So I guess I will wait again tomorrow and see if my house can be found by FedEx that they have delivered to 50 + times over the last few yrs. Chewy offers no other delivery other than FedEx. I asked and even offered to pay for it but no. Their contract is through FedEx. Well you keep FedEx and I’ll keep my money.

    I received a total of three auto ships from Chewy.com and quickly learned how they make money. They increase the prices of your auto ship items immediately before shipping, without any notification, and charge you more than what them items were when placed in your cart. I checked prices and updated a day before shipping and was still charged more. The day my items arrived, the prices returned to the lower price they were prior to my shipment. Customer service no help and simply says their price fluctuates.

    Extremely pleased with Chewy.com. They provide prescription food and medication for one of my cats at great savings. They have the GI & joint supplements I prefer for my oldest cat, along with a healthier choice of snacks. They also have the fastest delivery of any online business I order from.

    I set up an account online and called my bank three times when Chewy order couldn't be processed. Then I called chewy. Seems like chewy doesn't want new customers. The customer service person insisted it was my fault the order couldn't be processed even though I checked and rechecked and called and called my bank and chewy to try to buy product from you all. Wow, will write reviews for a while just because chewy online sucks big time. If chewy is trying to compete with other online stores, you're way far at the back of the pack.

    In early December, 2019 we order a prescription for our dog, Stella, who had lost her appetite because of kidney failure. We couldn't accept this possibility and ordered a stimulant prescription from Chewy to enhance her appetite. We never did used the stimulant as Stella became worst before we could use the medicine. We made the decision to have her put down. After Stella passed I called Chewy and asked if I could refund the medicine since I hadn't open it. No problem. The agent said that I would have a refund in 5-7 business days and I could donate the medicine to the local vet. We received the refund.

    Now read this carefully. About 3 weeks later we received from Chewy a dozen roses with a wine gift card in condolences for our lost. This brought tears to our eyes. This goes above and beyond the call with this act of kindness. We do have a Chewy Warehouse in our town. Now when I see their advertisements, I think of our beloved Stella.....Thank you very much....You deserve 10 stars!!!

    Chewy.com has earned a forever customer in me. I am afraid that I cannot explain well enough the customer service experience I had with George, when I opened a chat with him to ask about the shelf life of Iam's Large Breed dog food. You see, I have two large breed dogs... an 8 year old great dane named Max, and a 6 year old American bully, Lexi. I have been, for years, subscribed to Chewy.com's auto-ship program, and every four weeks have two of their 30-40lb bags shipped. They come in, we dump them into the easy scooping bins. Two bags last about a month for both dogs. Usually.

    Well, early December 2019 Max developed a knot or what I was hoping a cyst on this front right ankle/leg. A week later it had doubled in size. I took him to the vet and was given the worst news. It's bone cancer. A very aggressive bone cancer that was not effectively treated without compromising quality of life. I was told I had weeks before I should seriously consider "helping him along". The longer I waited, the bigger a risk of that leg breaking... it being a front leg on a Dane, a break would be catastrophic for all of us, most of all Max.

    I pushed for more time. Max was doing ok with this pain meds... but after a couple of weeks his decline was noticeable. He was hardly eating, his lump was growing daily and starting to protrude out of the back side of his leg. I knew the cancer had spread through the leg bone from one side to the other. He was barely getting himself up off his couch and the worry of a break was constant. On 12/31/19 we made the decision and said goodbye. I am not new to putting suffering animals down, but putting Max down when he still had a wag in his tail was not only heartbreaking, but felt morally wrong to me. I was so concerned with my conflicting feelings and mourning, that I forgot about all of the food that was on auto-delivery.

    Couple days later, I received my shipment. Two new 30lb bags of food. Hubs did as he normally would. Emptied both bags in the scoop bins and burned the trash. It wasn't until yesterday that I even thought about the excess food. I opened a chat with George at Chewy.com and inquired about the shelf life of this particular brand. I didn't want it to go bad. It would take MONTHS for Lexi to eat 3 - 30lb bags of food. All of which were taken out of the bag already. George informed me there was a shelf life, and then did the unexpected. He offered to refund me for three bags. No questions asked, no taking no for an answer. He expressed his condolences and told me that I had enough to deal with and not to worry about the food.

    I promised that I would donate wherever would allow for opened containers and thanked him from all of us! Then, when I got home from work tonight... I found a beautiful bouquet of flowers from George and Chewy.com, who sent their love and sympathy for our loss. BEST. PEOPLE. EVER. I <3 CHEWY FOREVER. Thank you George, and Chewy.com. From the bottom of my heart!

    My dog was on prescription dog food for a kidney problem. Suddenly last week he passed away. Struggling through my grief, CHEWY representative delivered a beautiful bouquet of flowers expressing their sympathy for my loss. I was so touched by their kindness. Remarkable in today's business environment that a company cares that much about their customers (myself and my pet). I had great a experience with CHEWY in using their prescription dog food delivery service. Now my admiration for their company and their commitment to the pets they ultimately serve I cannot put into words.

    I have no other words besides THE BEST- WONDERFUL COMPANY. From easy website and auto ships that you can easily manage, change, delay and always with a warning before shipping - to calling your vet to send your dogs prescription to them (how annoying is that and they do it for you!!?!). Great prices and the best customer service that I have ever seen. They sent me an personal email when my dog passed and also flowers to my home. How can someone not consider this company? I’m spreading the word about Chewy while I’m not ready to have another pet. I haven’t seen a company like them here in USA before. Bidu was also thankful for all the boxes he got when he was here.     My auto shipment was due, unfortunately my little love had passed away, so canceled the shipment. Quite out of the blue, I received the most beautiful bouquet of flowers with a message that read, " We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Millie, and our hearts go out to you. We know this time is tough, we're here if you need anything". Love Emily of Chewy.com. My heart is overcome with emotion that a company would think to do something so very thoughtful and kind. I shed a few tears explaining to the delivery man who they were from, as I was so very, very, surprised to receive flowers. What a wonderful company.

    Chewys autoship program is a joke! I had placed an order that happened to be on sale, to be shipped on Jan 11th. When I hadn’t received it by the 13th, I decided to give them a call. They informed me that an item I had ordered was on backorder and that they were holding the entire order until all items were available. I informed him that you need to let someone know by email as I was about to fun out of food. He then offered to send the order immediately but without honoring the sale price from my original order. This place is a joke and I will never order from them again! Be careful if you auto ship as you may not receive your items when you are expecting them.

    We order a collar from Chewy and we were very happy with it so we wanted to order another one. We thought we had order the same one again but had actually order a different one that we were not as excited about. I logged on to their chat function to see what we could do about exchanging it. They issued us a refund, set up the order for the correct collar, waived the shipping for the new collar and told us to donate the collar we weren't as happy with. Absolutely amazing and fantastic customer service. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for supplies for their pets.

    I have used Chewy.com for autoshipment for a few months now. I get cat food in cans, dry food, cat litter and cat toys and beds. The last 2 shipments all the cans come dinged up and bend. It seems like my cats don't like the food from those cans. Maybe air came in the can and spoiled it? One time the box was damaged after it was picked up by FedEx and they notified me to call chewy and replace shipment. Out of 5 shipments I was only happy 2 times, big 40 lbs of cat litter are put in a box with 24/26 cans of cat food with no protection around them, there is so much room in the box it is all slamming/knocking together and damages the cans.

    Today was the last straw, I ordered some Vitamins and another cat bed. Apparently it had to be shipped in 2 separate shipments, regardless the $ 40 was on hold on my credit card, but then next day it charged me $ 15 for 1st shipment and then next day another $ 25 for the 2nd shipment again. The hold of $ 40 is still on my card, so basically I am out of $ 80 for a few days till the $ 40 hold comes off. I am done now with this. I can get it from Walmart to ship same thing and they package much better and nothing gets damaged.

    I have been a faithful customer of Chewy since our new kittens arrived. Always great to deal with and super fast shipping. Lately they've been charging my debit card for the full amount initially and then when the items ship, they charge me again. I know it's in pending charges and they will eventually fall off but how is that legal? I never purchase small amounts. And I don't think they should tie up my funds that do not belong to them. Once is enough. I am moving onto Petsmart. It is close to us and I can order and pick up in store. BTW, I am a big online shopper and buy from upscale department stores to Walmart. Never once has any of them charged me twice for anything. Just a heads up for those who don't have a good amount in their checking accounts for this practice.

    Recently we learned our beloved lab, 10 1/2 yrs, Marley, was diagnosed with lymphoma. She has been in our lives since a pup. We are so very saddened, spoiling her everyday and being with her till the end. We had to cancel all our orders from Chewy. We bought her a new bed for Christmas and we made a small complaint about the casing on the pillows being too thin and ripping. Well Chewy is refunding our money. We did not expect that, only wanted to give the manufacturer a suggestion that how they could make their product a little stronger.     I placed my first insulin order for my dog online through Chewy because they were about $30 cheaper than what I was paying at my vet office. I had some questions so I contacted customer service. The woman I spoke to was knowledgable and professional and answered all my questions. After placing the order, I mailed the Rx to Chewy. They received the Rx on Wednesday and notified me by email that not only had they received the Rx but that the insulin was on the way.

    I received the insulin the next day, less than 24 hours from when they received the Rx! And the shipping was free! The insulin was packaged between ice bricks and placed in a styrofoam container and was as cold when I opened the package as it would have been had I just taken it out of my fridge. I am so impressed with their prices, customer service and speed of shipping! I will definitely continue to use them and to refer my friends and family to them. Thank you Chewy for making my first experience with you stellar!!!

    The purpose of shopping with Chewy is convenience and price, but PetSmart is as cheap, and Chewy has become horrible with customer service. When I complained about the service and delays, they said nothing, so when I cancelled my autoship again said nothing. Rather lose service than correct their mistakes. NO LONGER WORTH IT!

    I've used Chewy.com for a few years, for my cat's food and litter box supplies. I never had any issues or complaints with their service. My cat passed away a couple of weeks ago. I continued getting emails from chewy.com to see if I wanted to renew my orders. I responded telling them that my pet had passed away and I asked that no further emails be sent. They assured me that they were removing the emails. Today I received flowers at my home from Christina at chewy. com, offering her condolences on the loss of my pet. I was honestly so taken aback. The fact that they not only took the time to acknowledge my loss in their email, but to then send flowers, was so impressive and genuinely appreciated. Customer service at it's finest!! I'm currently looking to adopt a dog from a rescue. If it happens, I will definitely be using chewy.com again for my pet needs!!

    The first time ever ordering thru Chewy was a nightmare to say the least. I swore off ever using them again. However, I decided to give them one more shot since I had know people to use them without any issue. (BIG MISTAKE) I placed my order over the phone on Friday 1*4*2020. I was told by the rep that Pharmacy stops shipping at 7pm so there was a good chance my order would go out that night. The rep said she would even call the pharmacy and make sure everything runs smoothly since my first order was a disaster. Saturday I received an email that my order has shipped.

    Now on Monday I call since there has been no updates to find out my order just now left the warehouse. Basically I was told by the Supervisor Dakota that they do not guarantee 2 days shipping. And that I only received the email that my order has shipped because a label was printed. REALLY!! It is not like I bought a toy or bed. I bought my dogs seizure medication. This company is a JOKE!

    I ordered an item from Chewy from the first time because they were offering free 2 day shipping and I needed it asap. 2 days went by and it hadn't even shipped yet. When I contacted customer service they said it would be arrive in 4 MORE days. The next day it still hadn't shipped so I asked again when it would arrive. Now they said 5 days. When I told them I had specifically ordered from them for the promised 2 day shipping the representative disconnected from me. Two more representatives later and they offered to cancel the order for me. When I said, "Yes please cancel" then MAGICALLY the order status changed to "Shipped". I asked them if there would be any discount since the item was going to arrive a week later than promised. Of course they said no and then gave me a rude goodbye and disconnected on me again. First and last time I will use Chewy. You can find better service elsewhere.

    Nothing but problems. Shut them down a year ago. In need of ** ASAP and they are the only Co. that can do it, so was going to give them another try. I am on SSDI so my money is very tight. I was told the total cost $49, exactly, no more. So there was a pending charge on my Bank account this morning for $52.xx. I called the Bank. Not recognizing it, they were going to cancel my Bank card. They did extensive research and discovered that it was Chewy.com. We are so friggin done here. After I get the **, I am going to file a complaint with the BBB. I really don’t give a ** if they love the dogs because the emotional distress they put the owners thru is not acceptable.

    Sassy was a very special four legged daughter and became very sick and we laid her to rest on December 29, 2029. I purchased all of her food and pee pads, etc. from Chewy.com. Deliveries were always fast and on time. The service department was always helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. The company is a caring company. They sent us a vase of flowers we they were notified of Sassy's passing. We were very touched by that. We never had to return all the supplies we had accumulated. We were told we could donate them and not have to go to the trouble of sending it all back. We did donate everything to the Humane Society of Chesapeake. Would recommend this company without reservation or hesitation. Thank you to Chewy.com for their caring and good service.

    I figured I would give Chewy.com a try as I am chronically ill and sometimes shopping is a bit too much for me. They said at the top of their site that it was 1-2 days shipping... I purchased items around 5:48 am on 1/3/20... One package won't reach me until sometime on 1/6/20 and the other won't be here until 1/8/20!!! This is NOT 1-2 days and it is utterly ridiculous that it didn't ship on Friday! Will not be using again, I will try another company and will be deleting my account as well.

    THE SITUATION: I wanted to go with Chewy.com to simplify my life. Free shipping and not having to carry heavy food was an awesome thought. I have three large dogs. Two (80#) Boxer mixes a Border Collie and a Blue Maine Coon Cat, all rescues. My first order went through fine even though it was in December. THE PROBLEM: My second order has become a nightmare. I got an email sent after 5PM today that they did not have the dog food and if I did not get back with them today they would cancel the whole order. Luckily I did check my email when I got to our home out in the country and found the email.

    I then began a chat to sort out the problem. We got it worked out, BUT it will not be here until Wednesday because it did not ship out today. So I will go out and buy a couple of cases of dog food on a special trip to town tomorrow because I will not let my babies go hungry. I give them some wet food so their meds can be taken easily and then dry food for the bulk. I think this will be my last Chewy order because the customer service is not aware that you will have problems if you begin switching your dogs' diets around, the shipment will be late causing more problems than simplifications. Do not believe Chewy! They do not make life easier.

    I have been purchasing from Chewy for a few years. I had 3 cats, one with diet restrictions due to pancreatitis. On two separate occasions my cats would not eat food ordered and Chewy gave me credit for food which I donated to local shelter. Once was delivered to wrong address and next day I received replacement order. I said I had 3 cats. A couple weeks ago my 19 yr old crossed the rainbow bridge. What did Cewy do? Sent a beautiful bouquet of flowers with expressed sympathy. This is a company who truly cares about your fur family and what is best for them. I will be a Chewy customer as long as there are in business. What professionalism.

    I cannot say enough good things about Chewy.com. Their customer service is better than any company I have ever dealt with. Our dog recently passed the day before Christmas Eve and with all of the chaos of dealing with his surgery and the holidays we forgot to cancel his autoship. Not only did customer service refund our order and cancel the autoship, but they told us to donate the expensive prescription food in our dog's name to a local shelter instead of returning it. The customer service rep also wrote a heartfelt response back about our furry family member's passing. I highly recommend this company.1

    I have made a number of purchases from Chewy.com. Their prices are good and they have a large selection of pet related products. What stands head and shoulders above any other pet website is their customer service. They answer the phone promptly with real people who are very knowledgable about their products. If you have a return or exchange, they have you donate the item to a local shelter and they promptly send you a replacement. When my sister's dog died and she called to ask about returning some food, they sent her flowers!! I have never experienced better service from any other site of any kind!

    Veterinarian prescribed the new drug ** for an allergic reaction for my English Mastiff, Vet called in script to Chewy the same day as I placed the order. Chewy did not even fill the script for 5 days. I did not receive the medication for 8 days. I called Chewy after the 3rd day to check on the med. I was told that they do not fill a script up to 24 hours after receiving the order from the vet.

    I tried to get them to do the math. If what they were saying about the 24 hours I should have received the medication at my house in about 4 days. 24 hrs to fill and package then their advertised 2 day delivery = 3 to 4 days NOT 8. Food orders are great and I love ordering food from Chewy but will never order a prescription from them ever again!!

    I had ordered special food for our old dog. It had to get the ok from the vet before it would ship. It came very quickly after the vet gave the ok. Unfortunately, there was a lot more wrong with our pup. I canceled an additional auto-shipment with a note to Chewy.com that our pup had passed away.     My husband and I bought an antibiotic ointment for our new kitten who had an URI and developed conjunctivitis with it. We had the kitten for all of a week before her other symptoms unrelated to the URI worsened, and we took her back into the vet to find out that she had suffered a traumatic fall which ruptured her diaphragm and caused her intestines to become entangled in her chest cavity which was suffocating her heart. After a lot of struggle, we decided to put her down. After we had spent the whole day at the vet and put our little girl to sleep, we arrived home to our chewy.com box with her ointment at our front door. We called to tell them that she had passed and we no longer needed the ointment and asked if we should send it back. The woman who helped us assured us we did not have to send it back, and to kindly donate the product in our kitten’s name to help another animal in need.

    We arrived home today and were greeted to roses at our front door with a hand written message from chewy.com offering their condolences for the loss of our kitten. I am truly amazed that a company would be so kind and compassionate in the moment when we called to tell them we didn’t need our product anymore, let alone going above and beyond to send flowers. We got little to no empathy from the shelter we adopted our kitten from, with the “cat coordinator” acting like nothing had really happened even though the trauma and neglect that ultimately ended her life occurred in their care. We got more care and empathy from this company than anyone else involved, and I am truly thankful that there are still good people in this world. Thank you for your kindness, it has been truly appreciated during this difficult time.

    If I place an order on a Friday past 12:01 am or later or on Saturday or Sunday it will not arrive until Monday or Tuesday every time. Any time of year. This has been their bs for the last three years. I am done. If my auto ship falls on a friday, saturday or sunday it won't arrive until monday or tuesday every time. They love their three day weekends. Every weekend.

    When a large outfit like Chewy is continually out of stock of a very common item like **, in BOTH ointment and suspension form, you gotta wonder what's going on. I had a similar experience with **. So, IMO, it's more than chance factors. When you call the staff and they don't even know what the heck is up, then something must be up. Perhaps this may have been caused by the recent acquisition by Petsmart? Come and get your food and litter, but don't depend on Chewy for your pharmacy needs.

    This company automatically shipped a medicine for my dog without letting me know until after. I called after I got an email with it sending to wrong address. They said they caught it just in time and it would go to the right address. Still see the tracking sending to the wrong address. Call again. They say they have no record of me calling them and it’s being shipped to the wrong address. They promised to send a replacement to my correct address. Got a call from their pharmacy this morning that it was delivered to my apartment’s leasing office and they won’t be sending the replacement. Go to the office. Not there! I am never using this company again. They lie and I can get the same medicine at Costco. I am DONE!

    I rarely do reviews, but I have never received customer service like this before. I ordered two dog sweaters both of which were too small. They refunded my money, and took off shipping for my next order. They didnt even want the sweaters back, they wanted me to donate them to a local shelter.     I miscalculated the dates when I set up an auto-shipment and was taken aback when I received the email stating that my order was en route. I notified them mistakenly claiming that I did not place the order and they promptly cancelled the shipment and refunded my money. When they explained the auto-ship arrangement I had selected, I was quick to apologize for the misunderstanding and they were incredibly gracious and understanding. We also just received what appears to be a hand written holiday card. We LOVE Chewy.com and would recommend them to any pet owner looking for a secure, convenient way to purchase pet supplies.     I've been using Chewy since July 2017 - dog treats, prescription flea/tick meds, dog food, dog bedding, etc. for 3 dogs. I have always received orders in a timely manner and never had any errors or damaged products. I know I can count on them in a bind. I almost forgot to order dry dog food and placed an order at 4:20 pm on Dec. 23 - the dog food was on my front porch the following morning before 9:00 am - Christmas Eve!     I ordered ** on a Friday before 4 and told it would ship. Essential for life. My pet was on it for a month until vet told us on back order. Did not receive medication until Sat after despite my calls and tracking. My pet passed away Thursday eve!!!! Shame on you and Fed ex. Both knew the importance of getting this medication to my 10 yr old dog w/ new heart disease. Sad part is companies like Express are advertising order today guarantee by Christmas???? Something is wrong w/ this world! You would think they would label medication so it’s not sitting on a shelf somewhere or Fed ex would know to Expedite the Chewy orders vs clothing!     I would never think about endorsing a company, but I have to share my experience with Chewy.com. When we returned from vacation I saw that my monthly supply of dog food had shown up and it’s almost $100 because my dog, who had recently passed away needed special poultry free food. I sadly had to make the call to chewy.com to see if I could return the dog food. Not only did they refund my money but they asked me to donate the food to a local shelter of my choice which I thought was amazing. Then today I opened my front door to a delivery of flowers with a very sweet condolence note on Gumbo’s passing, and it was from chewy.com. I would have never expected this kind of customer service from a large Internet company but yet it happened all the same, I will definitely use them again in the future when my heart has room for another puppy.     Placed order totaling $55. Look on my bank statement and not only did I get charged from Chewy but from 2 separate warehouses!! I called and was told that it was a hold from each distribution warehouse they use!! I did not authorize a charge from any other company but Chewy! This is theft! I called and was told the same script that it was their policy. Letisha, supervisor, claimed the same thing. Nothing on website!!! Claims all warehouses are Chewy owned and then claimed my bank recognized it as separate locations?!?! Really?!? The more Letisha spoke the more “fibs” came out of her mouth.     I've ordered my cat's prescription food multiple times through Chewy and had no issues. However, this time was very different. I accidentally forgot to change my shipping address on my autoship (I had just moved). I did this the last time and emailed them about it and they got it fixed ASAP. I emailed them literally 30 seconds after I placed the order about the address (this worked last time). No reply. The next day it shipped so I called and told them about my issue. No problem, it just might be a day or two late. The next two weeks consisted of the food shipping to my city then shipping back to Arizona 2 times, with a total of 5 phone calls to Chewy. I got a refund, at least. Finally, it said my "package was declined."

    Another call to Chewy. I am nothing but nice, I know it's not their fault, it's the shipping company, but the customer service rep thought it was a great idea to inform me that my package was delayed because I put in the wrong address. NO **, SHERLOCK. He also didn't confirm my address beforehand, so when I asked where he shipped the new bag to, of course he had set it to the wrong address. My cats have been eating cheap food for a week now, since we ran out of their prescription food and I can't afford to buy the already $110 bag of food for twice the price at Petsmart while I wait. I'm looking into other places that sell my cat's food.

    Beware!!! Placing orders with Chewy can cause pending holds on your funds in excess of your purchase. I called and it was explained to me that Chewy puts a hold on the original amount and other holds are placed by vendors of some products prior to shipping. This is unacceptable!! I authorized $111.45 and now have pending holds on my funds in excess of $200!! This is causing a hardship for me until the multiple holds are removed and funds are replaced. I've purchased multiple items from Chewy for years and have never had this happen. I am refusing this order and will NEVER do business with Chewy again!!

    Chewy Auto-ship is great and flexible. We are currently in a predicament where a package is being delayed by the delivery service they use. We have been in contact with Chewy about it and they have done wonderful with listening to us vent frustrations. This morning, after a now 12 day delay on the delivery we made another call. The representative was so helpful that she even checked a local Pet Smart to see if they have the prescription food for our dog in stock. Once confirmed she stated that if the package does not come today, she will have the prescription forwarded to there so we can purchase what we need to hold us over until our package is finally delivered. The only thing I think they could do better is to also contact their shipping company and push to get this delivered, so I am not fighting that battle on my own. Thank you for going the extra mile and caring about our fur child with special dietary needs.

    Several orders were received damaged. CHEWY promptly replaced the items at no cost. A recent order had an item missing. This was promptly received the next day. FED EX deliveries have been of concern, like stacking numerous bags of cat litter on a cement pillar, creating a hazard if it fell. All delivery and mail can be delayed at certain times of year and be prepared for unexplained delays, at these times. CHEWY beats the rat race of store shopping to find things and carry it! I love CHEWY????

    We tried Chewy because we had a coupon, but now I'm wishing we just went to a local store. The day I ordered, Friday morning before 9am, it said the packages left the warehouses (two separate ones). But one package didn't reach FedEx's system 'til the next day when I had to check on it. Once I had, it moved along fine, and although it got here in 5 days, I thought that was still okay. The other package didn't even leave Arizona for the first 3 days. It was supposed to be here today, and then this morning I get a message that it's delayed AGAIN. This is extremely inconvenient for us, because we have a Christmas party to attend tonight and we were giving the treats we bought as gifts. So now I have to go to a local store and spend more money.

    When I complained to customer service their only answer was higher than normal volume, and weather. They sent me a return label and said once the facility received them they would process the refund. So another 8 days in transit, and another week before we are refunded. This is just terrible customer service, and a blatant lie on shipping.

    My dog is on daily ** for his extreme environmental allergies. I setup an auto ship order so the medications would be mailed monthly. The first month we received the order on time. The second month I got an email that the order was being canceled because Chewy needed a prescription. When I called my vet they said it had already been requested by chewy and sent. So I called chewy who said they don’t have it. We went back and forth until chewy agreed to take verbal confirmation over the phone from my vet to get the medications shipped. When I requested overnight shipping (that I would pay for) they said it’s not offered. I expected those meds 2-3 days later as was promised by Chewy.

    2 days later I get a call from my vet saying chewy has now called them 4 times to get the prescription which my vet has sent over each time. Checking my email that same day I saw where chewy had again cancelled my order saying they didn’t have vet confirmation. I called chewy back and they apologized and finally sent the pills. My dog went 5 days without medications and is now having to go to the vet for treatment due to his allergic reaction. I would never use chewy again.

    Bought 450 dollars worth of flea meds/food/litter for my animals. Mind you I have shopped with Chewy.com since 2015 and never had an issue before. They charged me the original charge and then over the weekend charged me another 400 overdrawing my bank account. The representatives did not care, and just told me to wait for it to fall off. Ridiculous. You all charge me full amount and then more when it ships out? Is my original 450 not enough for y’all? And now every time I order it seems as if this is happening on every order. I’m to the point I do not trust them with my payment information. I don’t like my money being tied up for no reason especially when I already pay for the product.     Seller delivered a cheap dog crate instead of a $165.00 dog stroller promised on 12/14/19. Contacted seller to cancel transaction. Seller would not provide a proper and legal return receipt and cancellation nor would they refund my payment to Paypal or update my Chewy.com account. They lied and said it would take 3-5 days. I said the credit is immediate on Paypal. The call ended by them hanging up on me. I went to my Chewy account and there was NO credit issued. I checked my Paypal account and NO credit was issued. Spoke to "5" supervisors at Chewy to get a proper receipt of my return and refund. They would not provide one. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BUSINESS PRACTICE AND I reported this to the BBB. This company has a "F" rating on the BBB.

Oh well now today in the 14th I receive when checking tracking on package there was an incremental weather delay. Lol. What?? We had drizzle not downpours and it was out for delivery 100 dollars worth of dog food out for delivery the next town over. 10 minutes away and they couldn't deliver. Weather made it unsafe??!     I recently ordered a couple items off of Chewy as stocking stuffers for our 3 dogs and cat. The package was estimated to arrive on Dec. 12th; however, there was a small delay and I was updated that the package would not arrive until Dec. 13th. I really liked that they updated me about my package(s). When the packages arrived I noticed that I was missing an item that I ordered. I emailed their service team and within an hour I received an email with the new order completely free of charge and a second email informing me that that they have processed a replacement order. I am so beyond pleased with the items I ordered and even more pleased with the service staff at chewy. I will always recommend them to friends and family as well as order anything my fur-babies need from chewy in the future.

    They advertise 2 day shipping on their site, this is a lie. Placed an order on 12/5, the first 2 packages showed up on 12/10 and the last one still hasn't arrived and says "No scheduled delivery date available at this time.". Customer service is unhelpful at best, They will lie to cover their deceitful practices. Was told they won't deliver packages on Monday, what carrier does not deliver on Mondays? That is not 2 day shipping! They offer no resolution other than "Once the tracking update with a delivery date we will send you all updates.", This helps no one. People rely on this promise of 2 day shipping for things like food and medicine. You are better off with Amazon or the pet store.

    I order for two different households as I order for my mom, this is the second order in a week that they specify it will be delivered on a certain date, had to cancel my last order due to delay "snow delay" in which we didn't even have snow within the delivery transit line, second delivery was delayed due to tracking label was damaged? Called Chewy, verified it would arrive today so I drove to my mother's to wait so I can carry it in, well doesn't arrive so I call and was told they have 48 and that do I realize that 3 holidays are within time of delivery so due to that I am to disregard what they confirmed as my delivery date, THEN they disconnect the live chat when I asked, "Will it be here by 1?" since they stated I ordered at 1 pm and they have 48 to deliver? They disconnected from our chat so to not have to answer! Will not be using them for either household again.

    Ordered on 12/3 and now it is 12/13 and still no delivery. Chewy uses Fed Ex to ship and deliver their packages. Because of the holidays Fed Ex is behind. I've called them numerous times and always told box on truck and will be delivered that night. I'm writing this because Chewy advertises that they ship 1-2 days. False advertising at this time of the year. I believe that they should not use Fed Ex to deliver their products at this time of the year. It is very frustrating and we now do not want to order anything else from Chewy ever because of this experience. Hoping we get our order soon, or off to the pet store to buy food!

    Chewy used to be great. I would receive my dog's food within two-three days. My dog is very sick and only eats one kind of food. At $100 a week, it was important to use a service that gave a discount, albeit only $5 on auto ship. The past month has been a nightmare. The food is late and they promise the food will arrive, it doesn't, they promise, it doesn't, etc. I ordered on 12/4 and it's still "in transit" on 12/12. Every day they say it will be delivered that day but it never is. They're having major shipping problems yet won't tell the truth about it. I even ordered $200 worth in one week to try to get ahead of the shipping delays... And THAT order hasn't come either.

    My best friend of 12 years was a male tabby who was diagnosed with diabetes. As such, he was put on a prescription diet that Chewy was able to verify with my vet (quickly) and supply me with automated shipments at considerably lower cost than I was paying from the vet directly. I used Chewy for about 6-8 months and I highly recommend them.

    I never missed a shipment. They were fast & efficient while I used Chewy. There was only one time where I received a package of the wrong prescription food, which they didn't require me to return and got a next-day replacement in the mail immediately and suggested I just donate the wrong stuff to the shelter on their dime.

    I came to write this review because I just recently received a handwritten Christmas card from them which you don't see anymore. It immediately brought back some really tough emotions because my buddy's diabetes had complications; he got pancreatitis. It put his little system into a meat grinder and I had no choice but to have him euthanized to end his suffering.

    If you have a pet with special needs, specifically in the case of diabetes, it affects your life a lot more than it does your pet. I tailored my life around making sure he got his insulin shot every 12 hours and was eating healthily for almost a year. Chewy made this process of caring for him so much simpler since I knew I could rely on them to get me his food at a fair price reliably and any (the 1) mistake was proven to be handled quickly and taken as seriously as it should be. I would definitely recommend doing business with Chewy for any pet needs.

    Once again, Chewy has gone above and beyond to make sure their customers are taken care of. I have a set auto shipment of canned dog food that ships out every 4 weeks. This past shipment that was sent out in November 2019 was somehow lost and never arrived at my home. I contacted Chewy and without missing a beat, I received an email back from customer service within 10 minutes saying they were so sorry it never arrived and that they were rush shipping my dog food that very minute.     My recent order included a bed that was supposedly shipped separately as the rest of the order was delivered. I noticed the tracking for the bed, which was late, said it was delivered. It was not. I was home and would have seen/heard the delivery person. It was absolutely not delivered by FedEx even though they say it was.

    My first attempt at fixing with online chat utility "Joshua **" I was left hanging, he said he was looking up but never came back. Finally I tried again and another person helped. I have a been having a regular monthly autoship for some time now but that is ending. I have had 3-4 issues this past year and all of them have been the result of FedEx, from tossing and damaging packages to now lying about delivery. I have deliveries 4-5 days a week all UPS or USPS and never have issues, just with FedEx. As long as Chewy continues to use FedEx I will get my monthly pet supplies elsewhere. I will also take every opportunity both online and off to share my opinion and experiences relating to this.

    I felt that I should do a follow-up. Unfortunately, our cat's prescription cat food still did not arrive from Chewy. Furthermore, I could not speak to a representative from On Trac, the delivery service, they were having technical phone troubles. I did call and complained to Chewy, as well as many of their other customers did. Our cat needs a prescription in order for me to purchase his food. Our cat is in renal failure, so his food is really important to help maintain his health. Our cat's food is difficult to find locally, so I order it. Chewy is in Nevada, close to our home, so our cat's food is usually delivered quickly within two days with no problems: however, recently I did start to have problems, so I did let Chewy know.

When I called Chewy about why it is taking so long for my orders to be delivered, they have many excuses, but as I clearly explain to Chewy, I do not want excuses, I need my cat's prescription cat food. I shopped with Chewy because in the past I was able to receive my orders within 2 days and Chewy had great customer service, but now it appears Chewy does not care as much. I looked into why my experience with Chewy is now different, and it appears Petsmart is now the parent company. I love my animals, so I need to find a company that goes the extra mile for my cats. I'm not sure if the blame falls on Chewy or FedEx, but I can get the same bag of dog food delivered for almost the same price through same day delivery of Prime now. Auto-ship through chewy is canceled. Will not be ordering through them anymore.

    I ordered December 1st. Dog food and some treats. I was going to be out of dog food in about 3 or 4 days. I waited till the 4th and still no dog food. I track the package and it said it would be delivered on the 6th. So I went and bought some food from the store. The 6th rolled around and still no food. Checked tracking again and it now said the 8th. I called Chewy and the lady said there was nothing she could do because it was Fedex fault. I cancelled my order and she said it would be 3 to 5 days to get my money.

    I looked the next day and the order still was not cancelled and now the delivery date went to the 10th. I called back and finally got the order cancelled. Now I have to deal with upset stomachs on my dogs because the store doesn’t sell the brand I got from chewy. Now I have found it on Amazon for the same price and guaranteed one day delivery. Chewy really should have just reorder my food and refunded the money for the hassle but no they would rather just lose a customer.

    I have been using Chewy for over a year now. I live in Pennsylvania and I'm located about 20 minutes from one of their warehouses and about one hour from another warehouse. Usually my orders have been received within two days of placing my order and sometimes they miraculously have arrived within 24 hours! Not this time. This time I placed my order on December 3. We ordered items for a foster dog we were picking up on 12/6 along with some food for our other dog as well. It said it shipped from Dayton, OH on 12/4. The tracking showed it would be delivered on 12/6. The morning of 12/6 the tracking changed and said it would now be delivered on 12/7.

    I hopped on the chat and was told the shipping was backed up due to the holidays. I asked why this wasn't stated somewhere on the website home page or even when placing my order. She said she was sorry and it should surely be there by end of day 12/7. Well I waited until about 5PM on Saturday and still never received anything. I checked the tracking again and this time it just said Pending and no date given for delivery!!!?

    I went back on the chat and asked what the heck was happening and explained my predicament with the foster dog not even having a bowl to eat from and having to share with our dog because of the late shipment. Again, I received apologies and was told shipping was delayed due to the holidays. I was refunded for the food I had to purchase locally which is why I gave 2 stars for my rating instead of 1.

    They should not advertise 1-2 day shipping if they cannot in fact do it. Amazon hasn't been having any issues getting my orders delivered in 1 day or 2. So what gives???? I really believe they need to let people know due to high holiday volume they cannot ship in the normal time frame so plan accordingly. It's people's pets that are relying on these orders! I'm contemplating every ordering from them again.

    I ordered dog food from Chewy on 12/1/19. It stated that it would ship in 1 to 2 days. So I expected the food by Wednesday, December 4, 2019 since I ordered it on Sunday. The food did not arrive on Wednesday. Nor did it arrive on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. In the meantime, I had called Chewy.com 4 or 5 times to see what was going on since my previous experience had been good with no problems in delivery. I also had emails with tracking promising the food would arrive on Saturday, December 7, 2019 when it finally had shipped. It never arrived. I had another email stating it would arrive on Sunday, December 8, 2019 and again it never arrived.

    When I called Chewy.com this morning, December 9, 2019 - I was told that the tracking there said it was delivered to me at 9:41 PM on Sunday evening (December 8, 2019) which it NEVER was. It also listed that the delivery was pending in another spot. Chewy.oom was unable to help me with this and could not guarantee a thing for me. They asked me if I called FedEx but never offered to call FedEx to see what the problem is. I would think after all of this trouble, they would call FedEx and get some answers for me. Seems that this company is terrible and I guess I will have to go back to the store again for the food rather than ordering from them. I would NOT recommend!!

    For the first few orders we received from Chewy.com we were pleased that they arrived in 2 days. The orders shipped from PA and were delivered to my home in CT. The last order was placed on Thursday. It's Sunday and the order hasn't been delivered. I am being told that the order will be delivered on Tuesday this coming week!!!! Of course the response from the chat group is the usual BS.... "OH WE'RE SO SORRY BUT IT'S THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND SHIPMENTS ARE LATE...."

    We're not talking about X-box's or big screen TVs... We're talking about our pet's food and health and well being. We all know that Nov-Dec is a busy time for shipping packages so the company, Chewy.com should have a plan in place to make sure the customers who rely on them for timely and critical deliveries are properly taken care of. Shame on you Chewy.com....I'll never, ever rely on you again to supply the products I need to feed my pets. They deserve better.

    I have ordered a few times from Chewy.com for my dog. I get treats a couple times a year when they have a good sale. I also have a autoship set up for a medication (chronic condition) and have never had a problem. Also I did a lot of shopping around and they had the best price for the meds. I did have an issue with one order (treats) and contacted customer service online and the problem was resolved within minutes, above and beyond what I was expecting.

    I was a loyal customer, loved the products and service, but something happened lately. My autoship order was not shipped as scheduled, was not delivered on time (still waiting for it). The customer service that used to be perfect is now awful, including a supervisor. I had for file a complaint to BBB and jape to get some answers from Chewy headquarters. I don’t trust this company anymore. I’m. Prices are not so great specially on prescription drugs. I can get the same price from my vet. The customer service is very bad. So sad, used to be a great company.

    I have bought from Chewy for about two years. In the beginning I had a few problems with the items not having any packing in them and things being crushed. They finally started using brown paper sack material which helped some. I learned that to keep my dry food and bird food safe to set up a separate auto ship from the canned cat food. They did and it was OK until last four months.

    Last four months the cat food and the dog canned food have been crushed in all the cans. They are dented extremely bad. I was told that they sent back skids of the dog food because of this. Well I got 24 cans of it and 18 were dented beyond belief. Well I should have been happy that those cans were dented no worse than they were as I got the auto ship cat food cans and they were crushed beyond anything I had ever seen. 36 out of the 48 of mine were unbelievable. I do not know about the other 48 that are moms as I do not dare open hers until she gets them and they may be as well. But how can you crush cans that are shrink wrapped and in the center of the box even?

    Took many pictures and sent them. Never got a reply. So I called and by then I was good and mad. My other auto ship that I contacted them and ask to send both 4 days earlier has never shown up. They showed it was shipped on Wednesday Dec 4 but FEDEX said they did not have it and it showed up on FEDEX site as picked up from them on Friday Dec 6. Now it is sitting in Walton KY and I sure don't live in KY and don't know when I will get the shipment. So much for early. They say it is because of the weather. We have nothing but a little rain once in a while. Weather is not even noted on FEDEX that it is a problem in this area.

    So getting every can and nothing that is the same vendor for them it is three different ones I find it hard to believe that they would all be dented this bad and they blame it on the place they get it and try to blame FEDEX which I took pictures of the box on the dog food and it did not have the first dent nothing to blame FEDEX on for this. When you are getting cans out of the middle of a shrink wrapped box how can that be the FEDEX people. It can't.

    So I sent them the pictures at 9:30 this morning, never heard a thing and I called them at 4pm. They want to send another shipment. I said no, I am not ordering from them anymore. So they said they would refund my cat food and have not said a thing about the late auto ship other than the weather excuse. Shame that this use to be a great company. Now that someone else has it it has gone to crap.

    I've been a long time customer of Chewy's and have my orders on a weekly auto ship. I've had delivery problems in the past but those were resolved quickly. I placed an AUTOSHIP order on 11/27/19, it's 12/8/19 and Fed Ex can't find updates for the tracking number. Received all but one of the cases of cat food. I don't drive so I rely on deliveries. I have been calling end emailing about the lost shipment for the last week. I had to contact FedEx myself and place a trace on the package. The customer service reps cannot read and comprehend a simple email. I was able to replace the lost cat food in just 24 hours thanks to Amazon. Customer Service used to be great at Chewy's but not anymore.

    I placed an order with Chewy on December 5th for medication for my cat. I received an email saying that it would ship that day and I should receive it on the 7th or 8th of December. When I checked the status on the 7th, it said I would receive it on the 8th and that it was on its way. When I checked the status on the 8th, it said that I would receive it on December 11th! This is a much needed Rx and they have displayed the fact that they cannot be trusted to back up the information they deceptively provide to the customer!

    I will not be ordering any more items through Chewy. Once I placed my order I was charged my full amount of $78, then 2 hrs later get another charge of $48. When I called I was told they charge the entire amount and then charge again as each item is shipped. After 48 hrs or so the original $78 charge should drop off. However in the meantime they are double charging me and I cannot use those funds, so my other items and bills I have coming in will be rejected now. I was told that is just the way they do things. If you don't want to be charged double your amount on your card, I would recommend ordering through a different site. I know I will never use them again and I do most my shopping online.

    I ordered a product for the first time on December 3, 2019 with the intention that I would get this product in 2 days as they stated on their website. I only ordered from them because the price for this item was discounted for Black Friday and they stated it would be a 2 day delivery. Now I am forced to wait at least 7 days. They state it is due to the Thanksgiving holiday and the weather. I am not sure this is even a legitimate company at this point.

    They ask for your contact information but don’t notify me until the last minute and it was via email only. I Called the day the email stated it would definitely be delivered and they stated they would contact Fed-Ex and find out what was going on. I have not heard from anyone regarding the status of my order. I went to the tracking number and now it states the order will be delivered at an even later date.     So, on Dec 3, I ordered my dog some food and some other stuff so that my order was over $49 to qualify for the free 1-2 day shipping. Yeah!! So much easier than driving to the store. Dec 5 rolls around, and I check the order status, since I just put the last bit of food in his dish and I want to see if it gave a time window for delivery. I find out, it hasn't even shipped!! Of course, I sent my car to the shop and it wouldn't be done until the next day. I live in a rural part of the world, so the store is not within walking distance, there is no bus, or Lyft or Zipcar or Postmates or anything like that. So, I am stuck. My dog ate hamburger that night, which he appreciated until the next morning on the walk.

    Anyhow.. I digress, when talking with customer service, I was escalated to a supervisor, who found it funny that I asked her to explain to my dog that he had no food. MY DOG HAD NO FOOD AND YOU SAID YOU WOULD DELIVER IT TODAY, BUT YOU AREN'T AND YOU THINK THAT IS FUNNY???? Needless to say, I flipped out, and asked to talk to her boss. I was transferred to a woman that was very understanding, said she was the manager, that person reported directly to her and she took this very seriously. I bought all that crap. The next day, the order shipped, it says it is supposed to arrive on Sunday, but nothing gets delivered on Sunday here, and I got my car back and got the dog food from another store. I hope what I ordered wasn't too close to the expiration date.

    So, today is Saturday, I still don't have the dog food from Chewy, but I get a personalized Christmas card, designed to look like it was hand-written (font was quite impressive), but this just set me off because I now have a useless Christmas card that marketing thought was more important to get taken care of than to update their website to say something like "due to holiday overload, packages may take more than 1-2 days" or to change their shipping process so something that might be time-sensitive like food or medicine goes out on a priority. PLEASE NOTE - I am NOT angry at the delay, I am angry that they continue to say 1-2 days when it is not.

    Anyhow, I called to complain and for someone to explain to the marketing department that this card being more important than making sure the website was updated was stupid. I asked to be transferred to a manager since I didn't trust the supervisors after the laughter at my dog's hunger... That is when I was informed by two separate people that there are no managers, it is just supervisors. So, the woman that almost had me convinced that all the bad stuff was just an anomaly in their process and she would take care of the supervisor that reported to her, a manager was doing nothing but lying to me as well. There are a lot of things I can tolerate in a world of bad customer service, but blatant lies is not one of them. Not another red cent of mine will ever go to this company and I will be sharing this information with everyone I know (all of whom have pets).

    Permanent rescheduling of delivery dates without notice. For a long time they could not agree with the clinic permission to sell diet food for a cat. It turned out that they sent the request to the wrong clinic. If possible, avoid this store. I ordered the 1st, until today there is still no delivery, although my cat after the clinic needs specialized feed.

    I am a brand new customer to Chewy. I created an account and ordered one 25Ib bag of dry dog food with 3 cases of wet dog food. I received an email the very next day advising that my information needed verification prior to the order being released. I called in immediately and provided the needed verification of shipping address, order amount etc.. I was then advised by customer service that my order would be released. Today, I receive another e-mail from Chewy advising that my order cannot be processed and I must contact them within the next 24 hours otherwise my order will be cancelled.

    I just called and customer service cannot explain or advise why my order still has a block on it, which upsets me. Furthermore, when I log into my Chewy account, the order shows no status issue whatsoever. Why is this so complicated??? Why must I called in twice now and worst yet I don't even know if the matter is resolved as customer service said "I am going to pass this along to my pod team requesting the block on your order be removed".

    I have been buying from Chewy.com for 2 years. Some of the time the order is correct and some of the time the order is destroyed in the box. BECAUSE they use a HUGE box that ships 1/2 empty. What do you think happens to a bag of birdseed when a 40lb. bag of dog food is rolling all over it...what a mess. I have filed this complaint on live chat 3 times. Today I finally was told that they can TAKE the customer complaint but they can't do anything ABOUT the customer complaint. I asked if someone could contact me about all the damaged items due to untrained packing people in the warehouse and the rep told me that chewy NEVER contacts its customers about "customer complaints".

    They really just throw everything into a huge box and hope for the best. It is a shame that chewy.com has to replace so many damaged ("avoidable") items and waste their money. Maybe they are SO big that they truly don't care. But the customer has to keep mentally babysitting their incompetence. Their prices are really good and they always replace ruined items in a timely fashion as long as you don't mind that you will be contacting customer service about 1 out of every 3 orders!!! One last thing, so you order ONE MORE THING TO GET FREE 1-2 day shipping and it takes 4 days to get to you. Oh well. "They are really busy" and it was unavoidable. Another ugh!

    I have never experienced a better customer service than what I've received from Chewy. I have ordered from them for the past few years and have had great customer service each time I called them. They are always very nice and helpful. I like how you can change your auto ship dates and how fast their delivery is. They have great quality toys and a large selection of dog foods. There was a time when I found out my fur baby was allergic to his food and treats and they gave me a refund and told me to donate it. Wow! I couldn't believe it...you don't find this kind of customer service anywhere else! I donated all the food and treats to Diamonds in the Ruff on behalf of Chewy. When I lost my dearest fur baby due to cancer a few weeks ago, they were so kind and sent me a beautiful flower arrangement and card.     My new 4 foot cat tree is awesome. I paid under $50 including shipping. I saw a similar one at another store for $110.00 that wasn't as nice. I shopped around and online and found many of the same thing for up to $200.00. It included a base, 4 scratch posts covered with rope, 1 cubby with 2 entries and a platform in front of the cubby, 3 platforms and a hammock and stairs to the first platform. It's in a dark brown which is essential having a black cat. Most of the ones I found were cream in color. I would highly recommend Chewy for your pet supplies.

    I have three ferrets at home who only eat a specific mix of food that of course I can only buy online as there aren't any pet stores in my area that sell what they eat. I ordered with plenty of time to spare under the impression that the food would get here by the delivery date of December 4th. Usually Chewy is very good about shipping and delivering within two days, but with the holidays I wasn't too concerned about the extra shipping days (also why I ordered early).

    Since my order has been to more places on the eastern seaboard than I have, I called their customer service this morning to be told that the new "estimated" delivery date would be Friday. Now for those of you who don't know ferrets are imprint eaters that have a very high metabolism and require food 24/7. If the food doesn't get here by Friday it may not arrive until Monday leaving my ferrets to starve over the weekend. When I told the customer service person that, she literally said "it looks like it". I was floored that she had that little care for any animal. I'll be looking for another service to order my all my animals' food from.

    When I called them, a person answered the phone within 2 rings. No automated system! I had ordered puppy dog food, not knowing the next day when I took my puppy to the vet, they would tell me it was time to switch my puppy to adult food (he is now over a year old). I called to see if there was anything to be done, and the representative was so helpful. She cancelled my order and put in a new one, and even made sure I kept the discounted price that I received when I originally put in my order. The whole experience was so quick and so helpful. I will definitely be a returning customer, because I want to support any business that has great customer service. Very impressed!

    I am filing a second complaint against Chewy.com. I placed an order with them and they put a hold on my account for the full billed amount. When they shipped the first part of my order, they billed again for that part. I called to see what happened and the agent stated the hold would come off when the second part shipped (in 25-48 hours). It took 6 days for the second shipment. They charged me again for the second part and the hold now 2 weeks old has still not come off. I submitted a claim to my credit card but it takes 45 days to be investigated and removed. This practice of theirs is fraudulent. I was never informed of the 'hold' when placing an order and they lied about the timing on it. They need to be shut down because they are a huge company and are doing this to every customer to have extra cash on hand for their business.

    I'm a bit disappointed with Chewy this time. I changed my shipping date to have my dog's food come in just before we would run out. In this case I had them scheduled to ship 12/2. As of 11/30 they said that I needed vet approval since the prescription expired. It has only been 6 months. Anyway, my vet faxed over the info on 12/1. As of 12/2...they had not received it. Since I was at the vet I had them fax the prescription again, still to no avail. I called Chewy right there at the vet, the vet tech talked with Chewy and confirmed that they were going to ship today 12/3. It is now 4:00 and it still hasn't been shipped. I called again to find out what was going on. I guess the Black Friday customers were given precedence over the auto ship customers. I'm still waiting. I may now have to buy my dog's special diet food elsewhere until I can get my order.

    My 12 year old boxer sadly suffered with horrible food allergies. He was allergic to chicken, beef, rabbit, kangaroo, pork, rice, potatoes, peas, corn, wheat, etc. To make matters even harder, once we found a food that worked for him, it would work for only about 2 years until that made him sick, too. Even veterinarian-prescribed foods made him sick! His doctor told us that we would be lucky if he lived past 7. Our sweet dog lived until 12, far exceeding the typical lifespan for a healthy boxer! I give a lot of the credit to Chewy. Not only do they have expansive dog food options, they have filters that help you easily find what will work for your dog. There have been several times over the years that I've been trying to find a new food for Diesel, only to find it didn't work after a few days of trying. In each instance, Chewy refunded me in full and told me to donate the remaining food, which I always did.

    Recently, we sadly lost our sweet Diesel. He was having digestive issues again and, the morning of the day he died, I ordered a new food from Chewy that I hoped would work. The next day, I emailed them and asked them to cancel the order - it would be far too painful to see it. Chewy wrote me one of the most thoughtful, kindest emails I've ever received - definitely the kindest email I've ever received from a company. They offered to be there for me if I ever wanted to call and share stories about Diesel. Who does that??? Furthermore, the food had already shipped but, they literally tried to get the truck to stop from delivering it to my house. They refunded me in full. If that wasn't enough, they sent flowers to my house with a very thoughtful note! Chewy does not feel like a company, they feel like a friend. I cannot be more grateful for the wonderful service they provided during Diesel's life and their thoughtfulness following his death.

    I have been using Chewy regularly for a bout a year now and had been impressed with the service and quick delivery. Emphasis on “had been.” I am thinking our relationship is over. I placed an order for cat and dog food which, according to the tracking, was “out for delivery” locally 3 days ago but was inexcusably delayed 3. Wait. 4?? times. WHAT?? I phoned earlier in the day and was told it was once again “out for delivery” and I should have it by the “end of the day,” but if I did not have it by 8 pm, to call. Guess what? No delivery.

    Called and was told it was once again “delayed.” Hello??? It has been 30 minutes from me for the past 3 days. Now I am completely out of food and a winter storm is starting. So, my kitties will not have food. The brand I purchase is not available locally (we are quite rural), but I would have purchased a substitute to get me by had I any clue that something “out for delivery” would take 5 days to go 30 minutes. Incredibly frustrated and disappointed. Something is very WRONG with Chewy’s product shipping/delivery.

    This is for the entire company. I have used the Auto-ship feature for a few years. 2 weeks ago, I had to put down my cat Rags due to kidney failure. She was 19.5 yrs old and we shared 18.5 of those years together. I cancelled the auto-ship and told Chewy why. Well, on 26 November 2019 I received a bouquet of flowers from Chewy with condolences for the loss of Rags. Never heard of this before, but it shows the type of company chewy.com is.

    I have called customer service with a problem a few times and was always satisfied with the outcome.     I started using Chewy.com over a year and a half ago. I unfortunately lost my dog, but already received a big order for her food and treats from my autoship. I called chewy to ask if I could return the unopened items. The lady was so sympathetic and empathetic towards me it was amazing. She then even told me that chewy would reimburse me for my full order. I couldn't believe it. I was very grateful. But chewy didn't stop there. I came home a few days later to find flowers at my house from chewy stating their condolences for the loss of my baby Lilly. Thank you chewy so much for valuing your customers.

    I've been using Chewy for a year now and their customer service STILL astounds me to this day. From our first purchase with them chatting about my new puppy to just yesterday... I ordered food and opened the packaging just to find out my dog is allergic to one of the ingredients. I called Chewy and WITHIN THREE MINUTES the team member had refunded me the money, told me that she would hate for my dog to have a tummy ache, and encouraged me to donate the opened food to an animal shelter near me. All of this without hesitation! AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, I placed an order with them for another bag of food and it was delivered to my door in less than 24 hours. Chewy is an amazing brand that not only does incredible charity work, but genuinely cares about their customers. I will never use another pet supply platform for my pets' prescription, dietary, and toy needs. THANK YOU CHEWY!!!

    Buyer beware! When you place an order with this company they put a pending hold on your order for the full order amount rather than just taking payment. Then they ship parts of your order and charge you separately for shipping and for each amount. So while your pending funds are still holding, they keep charging you again for the full amount plus more shipping. There is zero notification that this is how they operate. I will never shop with these deceitful bastards again!

    We've had dogs/cat for decades. I used a competitor (but who don't carry dog food) for decades. Their reputation is great. Never had a problem with them in all these years. BUT, I prefer Chewy.com now. My friend has a lot of dough and can afford to go online and order whatever she wants. I'm not in the same financial position, so I was incredulous Chewy was going to be affordable. My standard order is flea/tick and heartworm meds. Getting dog food at a price I can afford became tough and I was very concerned about shipping costs. I reluctantly gave Chewy a try for all the things I need. I'm really glad I did.

    Chewy's prices for meds are very close to the website I've used for decades. I compared them to several websites before using them. It's all on auto renew. I'll get notification an order will be sent so I can easily cancel it when the items are no longer needed. Customer support has been amazing and fast. There aren't any tricks to contacting them (as there are on other sites). I rarely (if ever) give five stars to companies but Chewy.com is easy, super fast, has great customer support that they really deserve a top-rated review.

    I have been ordering food, treats, and accessories for years. I have to admit the customer service at Chewy.com cannot be beat. I have only had a few incidents that I needed to contact them but they are always very quick to respond and will correct any issues even so far as providing refunds when the problem was not actually their fault.     I called Chewy.com on 11/17/19 the day after our family suddenly lost our sweet 11 yo Lab names Macie Lou. I was exhausted and heartbroken. I inquired how I might be able to return the items that I had just received only a few days before. The lady in customer service could not have been more kind, sincere and compassionate. She cried along with me and offered so much comfort. She refunded my items and asked me only to donate them to a shelter to help other dogs awaiting their forever homes. I was so grateful for her time, and sincere comfort from her.

    Then on 11/19/19 I hear a knock on the door and I received the most beautiful arrangement of flowers from Chewy and the representative that assisted me. I am just completely humbled by this lady and Chewy. I have never written a review but this amazing company and representatives need all the credit in the world. I just wanted others to know what a wonderful company this is that not only cares for pets, but the people who love them. Thank you Guadelupe and Chewy for making a difficult loss and heartbreaking event more bearable. ❤️

    Over the past year, I have ordered numerous products from Chewy. The reason that I strongly recommend them:

    1. Each time that I call in, the person on the customer service rep assists with my selection of product.
    2. The times that I misordered and called in to place the correct order, Chewy has not requested me to return the product, simply donate it to an animal shelter -- something that I strongly promote.

    3. Once you know how frequent you need dog food, you can set up an auto-refill and obtain a discount.

    I thought it was me at first messing up the autoship dates but when I took a good look at them it was Chewy's fault. They dont know what they're doing, neither do they care. My furbaby takes an important heart medication called **, come time to autoship Chewy runs out of it, what??? A big billion dollar business running out of a heart med. There was no call from Chewy to apologize or give me an alternative. I had to scramble to my Vet to get a few pills to cover him. Then I noticed the pills were back in on the Chewy website but they did not ship them out to me but planned on the next month shipment to late.. What... I called them up and got a gal who yawned her way through it and could care less if my pup lived or died she was just there for a paycheck, I asked to be put through to a Supervisor after 10 minutes I hung up. I'm going over to Pet Meds screw Chewy. My furbaby suffered at the hands of these callous monsters who only care for the DOLLAR.

    Chewy advertises delivery to your front door. I order 48 cans of dog food at a time. Chewy use to deliver to my door. But not anymore. I live in a high rise condo building with 3 high rise buildings in the complex. Chewy left the 48 cans in front of the mail boxes on the first floor. I called and complained. There are three stairs from the mail boxes to the elevator. Then the next time it was delivered to the condo office in another building. I called and complained. They gave me a replacement order and a $50.00 credit. The replacement order was also delivered to the condo office in another building. I called again. I was told FEDEx can deliver wherever they want. So if I lived in a house FEDEX could deliver the dog food to the house next door. Is that right Chewy. Just in case Chewy doesn't know this 48 cans of dog food is heavy! Going elsewhere...Bye Chewy.

    I ordered a car Dog Carrier but upon arrival, it didn't fit. I "chatted" with Chewy and they said, "keep the carrier and donate it to a pet rescue" and they will refund my money to PayPal. I thought that was very cool and donated the cage to a local pet rescue. After waiting about 4 days, I reached out to Chewy to inform them that the refund never hit PP. They said there was a problem on their end and would resubmit. Another week goes by and no refund! I chat again and they say they are new to PP and will cancel and resubmit. After almost another week and many, many emails with incompetent staff and supervisors, I had to file a claim with PP. It took PP less than 24 hours to rule in my favor and give me a refund. I informed Chewy and they cancelled my account!!!! Go somewhere else!!!

    I bought a Hurtta warning suit for my dog. I got the suit and it was too big for my dog so, I called for a return slip and was told that they just refunded my money ($63.50).     I was promised a prescription dog food for 2 senior labs. Aged 14 1/2 and 10 1/2. I first want to say that I am a customer for a very long time time with Chewy. I have had delivery issues with them for over a year. I tried ordering even earlier so I would have the many products I use from them including prescription medicine, probiotics, heartworm medicine. I have tried everything to get my products on time but they use FedEx which is the worst as they tell you a day and many times it will come so late at night, after 8 pm that it means an additional day.

    I have held back many times from writing a review and given them ample time to correct their issue. They have failed not 1 or 2 times but how about more than 12 times. I would recommend that any one using them to switch back to their local stores and get rid of Chewy. They do nothing but tell you how sorry they are but do nothing to correct their issues. I am a senior citizen so I thought that Chewy was a good option so I didn’t have to run to the store to haul in 30 lbs bags of food along with going back to the vet to pick up the medicine and prescription food from them. They refuse to change their means of shipping no mater what the problem is. Go back to your local pet stores or vet and forget about using CHEWY!!!!

    I have been a Chewy customer for 5 years and am constantly amazed by their excellent customer service. Whether it was a product sent to the wrong address (which was my fault not Chewy’s!), a change in my auto-shopping pet food order due to my pet’s health or any other issue that might arise, Chewy has more than made it right — frequently when the problem was not of their making. On top of the excellent service, the representatives are lovely people to interact with and clearly love pets. I can not recommend Chewy highly enough.

    Chewy is by far the most understanding and giving company. Their customer service is by far the best and they are available 24/7. I will forever and always order from them! I had to return a jacket for my dog and order a smaller size and they gave me the option of donating the jacket to a shelter or another dog in need. They truly care about their customers and animals.     I had place and order with Chewy.com and notice that I had 4 charges total. The original charge of $68.91. The other 3 extra charge were added. Scared the hell out of me. Thinking someone stole my card. I decided to call Chewy cause I didn't see those extra 3 charges in the app. On the 68.91. They said the first original was charge and then the other 3 separate charges of the item were billed separately. Eventually it should go away in couple of days later. They had withdrawn double the amount. I told her that it was illegal and without my consent that was stealing without my permission. In California I would of report it as fraudulent and it does not specified that they could double to see if I had any funds. Maybe that's what you guys do in Florida but here it's illegal. She recognized that I was right. But that's what they do.

    Just because I do care for my pets I'm gonna see if they return the money. She said they will do it again even if its authorship they will do it again. Imagine if I only had 80 dollars in my acct. and they overdraft my account. Just saying. Not going to re order again without my authorizing go double my money to see if I have funds. None of their business. There was a bill of total and it should be respected.

    I received a package from Chewy.com and I didn’t know what it was because I’ve already received my dog's medication so I opened it. WOW THIS MADE MY DAY. Daylo have put me through some things over the last 3 month. He’s old arthritis in three legs, cancer can’t or won’t go up the doggie ramp, lost his hearing. I’ve cried way too many times because it’s hard to see him like this but then his good days come and I say “He’s ok”, I know he’s not, but today I’m ok. I got this package and I opened it WOW, I see a portrait of my Daylo. No bill, no notice just a portrait of Daylo on a canvas, that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you.

    I've been using Chewy.com for almost 2 years now. This is the second time I had a issue with Chewy Pharmacy. If you like the short version of this review, just scroll down. I've placed an ordered on Interceptor Plus and Simparica for my dog on Monday 11/11 and was expecting to receive it on Friday or Saturday. On Thursday 11/14 at 12pm, I've received an email from chewy.com - One of the medication (Simparica) has not yet been approved by my dog veterinarian so therefore they will cancel this medication from my order within 24 hours.

    I went on ahead and contacted my pet hospital to see what's going on. It turns out Chewy only send out one email for the interceptor Plus on Tuesday 11/12 at 11:15am (which was approved on the same day). Chewy later on send out another email to my veterinarian requesting for the Simparica on Thursday 11/14 at 8:40am. I've ended up contacting Chewy at 5pm on 11/14 to place a note to "not cancel my order". The representative that was assisting me was kind and helpful. She also contacted the pharmacy department and placed two notes on my account to delay the cancellation for the Simparica.

    The next day 11/15 I've received another email at 10:20am in regards to removing the simparica from my order since it hasn't been approved. I ended up calling Chewy again and explaining that I do not want the Simparica to be remove from the order. The representative that was assisting me at this time contacted the pharmacy again. She said the Interceptor Plus would be sent out first then the Simparica would be send out afterward. I got another call from chewy pharmacy around 11:05am 11/15, I have no idea what's the point of this call but there wasn't any new update and had to explain my situation again..

    About an hour later, I've missed a call from Chewy at 12:13pm. The representative left a voicemail in regards to canceling my entire order because they wanted to ship both medications out together. I called Chewy and explained to them that I never once asked to cancel my order. The representative placed me on hold again to contact the pharmacy. The representative returned back on the line and immediately hung up..

    I called chewy back after the last representative hung up on me. I had to explain the entire situation to a new representative again. At this point, I've asked the representative if there's any way to keep that order since I never once ask to cancel the order. In addition, Chewy has already charged me since Monday 11/11. Unfortunately that wasn't an option and I would have to reorder everything again which will charge me another $96.02 for the Simparica and Interceptor Plus. The representative then focus on the refund process for my order and mentioned it would take 2 business day.

    Overall, my recent order with Chewy has been the worst experience and a waste of time - more than 5 phone calls with chewy and have gotten nowhere. I would actually rank this next to Comcast services. You're better off purchasing your pet medication at your local pet hospital then going through this headache. I hope this review helps anyone who is considering or thinking about doing business with Chewy RX (Pharmacy).

    After over a decade of dedicated service with Chewy, sadly discontinuing service as the company seems to have changed hands or ownership. Extremely disappointed to have reported numerous issues with Chewy in regards to NJ Fed Ex Home Delivery service that have gone unresolved and Chewy is unable to correct. Packages instructed to shipper to be left under covered protection of front door have been continually ignored and shipper leaves a few feet away for convenience dumped in the driveway up against garage doors blocking access and leaving packages exposed to sun, rain/snow, theft. Numerous attempts to Chewy to resolve with shipper have been unresolved and lacked demonstrated sense of urgency. The loss of a long-time customer is unimportant to Chewy to resolve with their dedicated shipping service in NJ. Completely disappointed in shipping resources and lack of alternate service to select.

    I have had a couple orders wherein the product was substandard; one case was a dented can, another involved dog combs that indicated "fine teeth" but arrived with widely spaced teeth. In both cases, Chewy went over and beyond other companies with which I've dealt, and they have sold me on their desire to please their customers.     I bought a no-pull harness for my dog and then decided she really didn't pull and it seemed like overkill. So, with buyer's remorse, I asked Chewy.com about returning it and they responded quickly with return instructions. Somehow, though, the harness got mixed in with my hat and glove box and got put away for the summer! Just pulled out the box and found the harness, tags still on. So 8 months after purchase, I wrote an email to Chewy.com, with some embarrassment, asking if I might still return it. I got an email back in FIVE MINUTES letting me know that credit was applied! And then they told me that instead of mailing it back I should donate it to a shelter! They said it was a good opportunity to pay it forward and help pets in need. I always liked Chewy.com, but now I LOVE THEM!

    If you have a bigger shipment then they will break up the cost and take it out of your account that way. I suggest don't worry if it says an off amount was charged. As long as it is still pending then it's okay. Once the item is shipped and delivered it fixes itself. Also, they can't do anything while it's still pending. But they got really fast and friendly customer service. I had to email about this and my email had an error and I thought never sent but did. It did but it took like two days. They emailed back and I responded and we had a whole convo. No more than 9 mins to respond back. Anyway, I thought my original email didn't go through so I called. They picked up right away. I thought I would have time to figure out what I was going to say. Lol. The man was super nice and helpful. I love this site so much.

    Placed an order on a Friday evening. The money came out of our account as expected. This was a larger order. Spend over $100. The next morning find out they had taken another $36 out of our account. Called customer service. The man we spoke to said there was nothing he could do. To wait till Monday and the money would be back in our account. Called back and spoke to someone else. This time was told they had fixed the mistake and the money would be back in our account in just a few hours. Waited the few hours and checked our account. They had taken another $56 dollars out this time. I called back and the lady told me that when I placed my order they did not have it in stock at the shipping facility. They had to break it up into 3 shipments. She continued to tell me that when this happens they automatically charge your card again for each amount. That after it ships they release the hold.

    I have now been charged 3 times and only approved 1. I then spoke to a manager and was told they had already lifted the pending charges. Two days later still not back on my account. I called the bank as they had requested. Called chewy back to let them know that they still have not released the extra charges. I am now being told they will in 48 hours. I will not use a company that thinks it is okay to charge whatever they want without authorization. I have been told whatever they can to get me off the phone. At one point I was on hold for 40 min. This was so she could track her manager down.

    My point is. It is not the customer's responsibility to endure the cost for their company. When I asked where did I agree to this was told to read the faq section on their sight. I have done so and still have not found that. I was told that was to much information to put on an order form in a disclaimer. The fact is they know no one would agree to being charged double for an order because they are low on stock.

Our dog Leela who was a huge part of our family, passed last week and I couldn’t even speak to call and let you know that we needed to cancel the order. I had decided to just send a message to the person on the 24 hour chat who was so very kind and didn’t ask any other questions and immediately canceled the order. I come home on Friday from work from a very emotional week and at my doorstep was a beautiful arrangement from Chewy.com. I was seriously touched and besides myself.     After attempting to order TD kills prescription feline dry food from their site, they denied the purchase and required veterinary information. This is news to me, as for the past eight years of buying the product, this has never been required(over two dozen purchases). Since their information is clearly false, I pressed, and a supervisor was called over whom clearly said they would lose their 'special relationship' with the vendor unless it was done as the vendor wanted. So logically, either every time I have purchased this food, stores I have acquired it from decided committing a prescription violation was worth a few dollars of profit, or Chewy is intentionally lying for fringe benefits on their side. It doesn't take a lot of effort to figure out which. Buy anywhere else, somewhere that will treat you honestly and appreciate your business.

    I've been shopping with Chewy for what started out as 2 cats for at least 4 years now and they've always been super. A couple months ago they sent out an autoship for a couple cases of pretty pricey cat food for an older cat with chronic kidney disease. Unfortunately a couple weeks after I received the shipment my cat's condition worsened to the point that I felt euthanasia was the most loving thing I could do for him so I ended up with over 30 cans of cat food that I couldn't use. When I called Chewy to see what they might do to help out, they refunded the entire shipment cost. I was simply "blown away" by their kindness.

    Today, I received the wrong item in an order. The price was a negligible amount and I was willing to either send it back or not take a refund. The person I was working with wouldn't hear of either. Very rarely have I encountered a business that's seemingly more concerned about their customer than their bottom line. Chewy is such an organization.

    I purchased on autoship some special prescription food for my 14 year old dog Oliver. Unexpectedly last Friday I had to put him down and notified Chewy to stop the Auto ship.     We have been with Chewy for years. We started Chewy For convenience. Then we found out that our black lab had severe allergies. We had an extensive list of foods that she could not have. After going through the list and going through food ingredients it became very frustrating. I emailed Chewy her allergy list and they did the footwork for me. I was very appreciative due to frustration and lack of time period Chewy made it very convenient for us to make sure that our dog was well taken care of period. Also we were on auto ship and the shipment had K had not come in the 3 day. That it was supposed to. So we called Chewy to say that it still wasn't at our home and expressing frustrations due to our dog not having food and it was a special order item. They overnighted a bag of food right away. And then gave us the shipment that was late for free.

    Recently Lucy had passed away. The day before she had passed we had received our Chewy shipment still in the Box. I called to let them know that Lucy had passed and that we would like to see if we could get a refund for the food that was unopened. They They generously gave us a refund and asked us to donate to a shelter or a charity of our choice. 4 days after Lucy's passing I had received an FTD Box on my door unsure who it was from. When I opened it there was a dozen roses and a card from Chewy expressing their condolences for our loss of our dog. Chewy goes above and beyond all customer service I have ever received. Although it is hard to think of getting another dog at this point I know in the future if you decide to do that that we will definitely use Chewy in the future. They go above and beyond and really care for their customers!

    Well, I went to order for a second time from the company because I got a 15$ coupon in the mail off 49$. The CSR was very rude and told me at first that they price match Amazon, and when I told him the prize on Amazon, he told me he didn't see the prices for my cat's food and treats. I asked to speak with a manager, and she was nastier than the CSR and told me to just go to Amazon and order my cat's products. This company has gone downhill fast, and they raised the price of their products monthly. The first time I ordered, they were cheaper than Amazon the 2nd time they were not. I will stick with Amazon plus I will get 5% off with prime. They need to train their employees on how to treat their customers because Chewy will be closed soon if not!

    I have been a consistent customer every week for quite some time always ordering at least $45 each time. McKenna ** refused to credit a Temptations treats item because she said it was free. It was not free and I spent a long time on the phone with a supervisor to fix the issue. I still cannot believe how McKenna ** can work at Chewy because I have always had great customer service. Not sure if I will ever order again because of her.

    I called after receiving a bag of dog food and finding some loose in the box. I was concerned about feeding to my girls when I realized the package had been torn so I called Chewy to see what could be done. They replaced the dog food (no questions asked) and asked that I donate the torn bag to a local rescue or shelter. Even had the new bag on my doorstep in less than 30 hours. I will continue to be a loyal customer! Love their customer service!

    Items always come crushed or litter opens in box. Yes, I've told them multiple times not to pack the litter with other items. Nope, they don't want to hear it. Until they clean up their act, I will not purchase litter from them anymore.

    I went online to place an order for medications for my dog; however the system At Chewy.com returned a message stating my credit card was invalid. My credit card information was correct: I called customer service. Spoke with a representative. The representative try to put my credit card through. She was unsuccessful as well. She explained to me that the Chewy.com system was having problems accepting Visa and MasterCard cards.

    The customer service representative said she will escalate my information to a higher management however no one's never called me back. I called the next day. Spoke with the manager. She requested to put my credit card information through again. She had no success. The manager said she will call me back as soon as she Send out the prescription as well as have Her IT Department tried to put my credit card Through. She never called me back. It’s been three days of been trying to get this medicine from Chewy.com with no success. I contact my credit card company And was told Chewy.com has tried to put my credit card through a total of 15 times with no success. As of today no one has called me back actually… I am very disappointed.

    I ordered a product. It never arrived. Chewy never told me a thing about it. They never notified me by email or text or phone call that they cancelled my order. When I tried to access my account online at Chewy, the site said to change my password.. I changed it and it said it would not let me access my account and to call customer service. I called and they told me they closed my account. And they cancelled my order. They said they don't know why. They said it could have been that my info was input wrong or that someone was trying to steal my identity and enter my credit card info to order things. Still they never notified me. Oct 19th I placed the order and nothing arrived. I called Chewy on Oct 28th. Not happy with the way Chewy does business. I'll stick to PetSmart or Amazon Prime. Paying a few dollars more for peace of mind is better than this!

    I purchased some clothes for my dog on Chewy.com and they charged me for the full order. But since the order shipped in partial shipments they turned around and charged me for each partial shipment totaling the amount of the order.. Mind you they took it upon themselves to go back into my account and make unauthorized charges without my consent or notifying me. When I called them about the discrepancy they informed me, very rudely, that I would have to "contact my bank and then call them back and get a supervisor on the phone and that's the only way they would even begin to credit me back the charges."

    When they admitted that they saw the additional charges. I would say that's a lot of inconvenience for something that was a error on their part. It's a lot of hold time with the bank and with them. It's a terrible business practice and for that I will never order anything else from them. So basically unless you want to have your account double charged and experience a terrible time getting it corrected I would not do any online purchases with them.

    I setup an autoship with Chewy.com. First autoship was seamless. Second one never arrived. My pet ran out of meds. I had to call. The shipment was "stuck" because they forgot to list the vets approval on the order. It is very concerning that they don't have their act together. Someone should have noticed that the order had not gone out and was more than a week past the ship date. I will be looking for a new online pet supplier as my pet can't afford to miss meds as she has due to this issue.

    I ordered a dog dematting comb. It arrived & I hated it. I reviewed the product at Chewy.com. The next day I received an email from Chewy apologizing for the experience, offering a full refund & asking that I give the comb to a shelter. Who does that anymore? Usually, companies just ignore your bad reviews or try to argue with them. Not Chewy. They not only read my review, but they privately reached out to make it right. I switched to Chewy from Petco & I'm glad that I did.

    I ordered a dog stroller awhile back and didn't get to use it as my Grandmother's dog passed before using it. The stroller was brand new and I recently sold it. The wheel broke off and the person who bought it contacted Chewy. Since I still had the invoice Chewy replaced it with no problem. This is a company that stands behind products!     Instantly got hold of a live rep to chat with online. I was returning an item and after I provided some details (the item was fine, just wrong size/material for my pup). The rep said she was going to use her "paws" to create a return label for me (lol!). Then she told me that while she would usually provide free shipping, it would be nice if I could just donate the item to a local shelter! I told her it (the doggy boots) hadn't been removed from the packaging or used and asked if she was sure. Her response was "even better!". She told me the shelters would appreciate the boots what with the cold weather. WOW. Loved that gesture so much... almost made me cry. I called SPCA immediately to see where I could drop them off.

    I ordered a scale in error. When I called customer service to return it, they said they would refund my payment and asked me to donate it to an animal sanctuary. How amazing and unbelievable is that? The scale cost about $50. Chewy will make the sanctuary I am giving this to very happy. I will recommend Chewy to everyone.     I ordered dog food from them. It was never delivered. Rep told me they shipped it by FedEx. Chewy They claimed failure of delivery was FedEx's fault and did nothing to get the products delivered other than promise to look into it, even though they selected FedEx as their service provider. In my opinion, they are a scam. Chewy said they would refund my payment. I have yet to see a refund to my card.

    I have ordered various dog foods and toys from Chewy. They have always delivered in a short time and all products have been as stated. Even when I made a mistake, they corrected it without charge. One day I received a dog water dish that did not fit together properly. I should have called them but I just gave them a low star for that product. Very soon after, I received an email that I would be refunded and kindly asked about my dogs. I and my dogs recently lost our loved one and we were very glad to have each other during this time. Well today I received flowers from Anastasia with condolences about our loss. I have never experienced such an expression of care from a company. I am very pleased with the customer service and the flowers were an added lift to my day as yesterday was the first birthday apart from my loved one as I was feeling very sad.     If I could give them no stars I would! Everything is shipped in one giant box. The order I just received was 55lbs! I cannot lift without injury, nor can I move or drag the box in. Contacted Chewy (uncaring reps) and they said nothing they can do about it. They can do a box up to 68 lbs!!! Seriously??? They will not ship in smaller boxes. So I guess we can all sue them in small claims court when becoming injured trying to lift box. I will buy my cat food and toys etc on Amazon who has same prices as Chewy and ships free with Prime and you do not have to do a huge order just to get free shipping.

    I wanted to get this review out right away for others to see. I had been ordering sub Q fluids for my cat LB all summer from Chewy. He had kidney disease. The shipments were always fast and even if they couldn't be fulfilled with the other products I ordered, perhaps because my vet was slow in approving them, they made up the difference with overnight shipping to make sure they were received in the promised time frame. The last shipment I ordered of 3 bags I never got to open before my dear sweet boy had to cross the rainbow bridge. I called Chewy Pharmacy and asked if I could ship back the unopened box. Not only did they not have me return the fluids, they credited my account in full and were so kind and compassionate about my loss. Then it got better.

    A few days later I received a bouquet of flowers from ReNelle at Chewy with a heartfelt note about LB's passing. I cried. I was so moved by this touching gesture which was above and beyond any customer service I've ever received from any company. Thank you Chewy for making this loss somewhat more bearable! The flowers are brightening up my space in a dark time.

    Chewy.com has surpassed my expectations in every way. Selection, pricing, customer service, all of it! I found a medication that was less than half of what I was paying my vet for it. If they are ever out of stock they will send you a note when its back in. Their customer service folks are TOP notch! Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, etc. In the event you need to return something it is hassle-free.     I placed my first order with Chewy this week. I order two 28 lb boxes of cat litter and 2 24 can packs of Fancy Feast cat food. My order came today and I only received the litter. The content label shows all of what I ordered in 1 shipped box, but the cat food was missing. What is really concerning is that I check the weight on the box and it stated 68 lbs. The litter weighs 28 lbs each or 56 lbs. However, no cat food, which I needed. I called immediately to service. While they offered to ship the cat food, I could not wait and just asked for the refund of cat food, which is going to be done. What a disappointment. I guess I still be shopping at PetSmart or I probably just have just ordered from Amazon.

Our second Shih Tzu, LILA, was a mix whom we rescued when she survived her first three years of critical abuse and neglect.
