I normally never write reviews for companies, but I just have seen so many bad reviews for Wayfair so I wanted to shed some light on my own experience! I had ordered a sofa/futon from them, and about 8 hours later decided to cancel my order. However, the order was already being processed by the time I had cancelled. When I reached out to customer service, they were super friendly and assured me that even though it had already been shipped, since I reached out to them soon after ordering they will pay for the shipping return fees back! I was so happy because I had read some people had other experiences with this that did not go as well. I will definitely be shopping at Wayfair in the future because of how nice they were about returning the futon!

I kept seeing Wayfair ads and beyond wondering why someone would buy a couch sight-unseen without touching the fabric or sitting in it to determine firmness and sitting comfort, I thought I wonder about the value of their decorator items. At the end of one commercial I saw the perfect teal ceramic colander that I had been searching for. Great for the kitchen in my Palm Springs mid-century modern house! However, I'm glad I did some quick price comparisons before buying it at Wayfair. At various Amazon retailers this exact same name brand colander in teal ran for about 25 to 37 bucks and at Wayfair here's the cut and paste: Calypso Basics 5 Qt. Colander. See More by Reston Lloyd. $45.99 plus shipping and tax: $55.00 (shipping wasn't free because this one item was under $49 total).
Item price $20.17 no shipping, no taxes, grand total: $20.17. Is Wayfair out of its mind? Theirs is 272% more! After that I just ignore those Wayfair ads and am thinking those people in the commercials aren't "dancing" in happiness, they are actually going into shock after seeing their bill for a pretty average product that they could get ANYWHERE else for guaranteed LESS.

I placed multiple orders on Wayfair a while ago and everything were supposed to arrive by today yet only less than half arrived. One order was shipped much earlier than scheduled which luckily my apartment stored it for me otherwise I wouldn't have anywhere to put it. The second order I placed kept getting delayed which made me decided to cancel the whole order and placed a new one, for make sure it arrives on time I paid for express shipping only to find out that the warehouse hasn't even ship the item yet and I placed the order on Friday! Because the furnitures are heavy I hired movers to help move them upstairs and now it can't be done anymore since some of the pieces are not even shipped yet. I'm disappointed with this experience and I won't consider Wayfair in future anymore. The problems and stress it caused is not worth the saving of money.

We ordered our sofa set on 16th June, shipment starred 20th June. After 21 days I got sofa set today and what you got is chaise piece missing. We are calling them but they are least concern and saying that it's out of stock so we have to wait 2 more weeks to get chaise. Can't imagine how they are dealing their service. If it was out of stock why they booked order. Please think 1000 times before ordering from this company. They real don't care customer satisfaction. They just follow computer.

I will never ever order from Wayfair again. I bought a bed on May 26. It shipped May 31. Tracking information said it would get to delivery agent on or before June 20. HMM considering it's coming from Illinois and I live in NW Pennsylvania that seems like a long time, but whatever I had accepted the snail delivery. Then on or about June 6 I see an update that it was to get to the local delivery agent on or before June 12. Oh boy I was excited and thought I better get busy. I want to paint and install new carpet in the bedroom. I sell my old bed clean out the room paint put in the new rug and on June 12th there wasn't any notice that it had arrived on the 13th no updates to the site on the 14th still no updates so here I go talking to customer service trying to find out something about my bed.
Of course that did no good just constant stalling miscommunication and then the only real response I get is, "I put in a request to have your information updated." REALLY!!! That's the best answer I get? The night of the 14th yes my tracking is updated. My bed had gone right around Pennsylvania from IL, IN, TN, NC, VA, and now with today being June 16th it hasn't moved from MD. Oh yea there was a memo, "SORRY your shipment has been delayed and should arrive at local delivery agent June 22nd." Ok so not only has my bed been in MD since Thursday the 14th it's not due to arrive in Pennsylvania until Friday the 22nd. As if that wasn't bad enough being a Friday and knowing no one works on the weekends and that you need an additional 24-48 hrs for inspection before I even get notified by the local delivery agent to set up an appointment.
Now we are talking about being notified Wednesday the 27th to set up delivery appointment which means at best I can look forward to my bed arriving somewhere during the week of July 2nd. If I am so lucky as to have it in my home will be a miracle. The bed did arrive at the local delivery agent on Thursday June 21st. On Saturday afternoon I received an email that said I should be getting a call from the local agent within one business day. Ok that should be by end of day on Monday the 27th. Monday came and went Tuesday came and went. Wednesday morning I called the local agent and the woman told me she hadn't heard anything from the dispatcher but would call me within 2 hrs. She did and told me the bed would be delivered on Friday the 29th between 8 and 9. By 2:30 in the afternoon still nothing.
I call and the woman asked who I talked to that told me that. It was her but she wouldn't own up to it and told me they don't have any local deliveries scheduled until Tuesday July 3rd. Come on they have had my bed since June 21 and are now telling me that I won't receive my bed until 12 days after they received it and I live 1.5 miles down the road from them. And I was told I could not go pick it up myself. It did arrive finally in the afternoon on July 3rd and bed was in excellent condition. The condition of the bed and the Wayfair case manager I had after several complaints is the only reason this review deserves as much as 1 star. I would tell anyone to really consider what they are getting into when ordering from Wayfair. Myself I never want to deal with them or their affiliates including shippers ever again. Worst experience ever.

After carefully choosing all the items I wanted to redecorate my living room, I applied for a Wayfair credit card. After placing the order, several of the items became out of stock. When I went to order different items, the credit card was declined, even though I was well below the credit limit. The response from customer service: the initial order amount is still "pending" on the card, making the "available credit" equal zero. The pending amount won't be removed until December!! That would be 5 months I would have to wait to finish redecorating! If they don't resolve it, I'm going to attempt to return all items and cancel the credit card (I haven't assembled any of the items yet). Very disappointing!

I own rental properties that I rent to students. I've ordered several pieces of furniture from Wayfair and have been very pleased with the results. I did receive a mattress from them that was not the correct firmness, and it was no problem for them to send me out the correct one. As someone else pointed out, like everything else, you need to do your homework before you buy: verify how the furniture will fit in your home, read the reviews, etc.

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever dealt with in my entire life. Extremely rude and nasty and full of lies. They guarantee in home in room delivery on a certain day and then they tell you after you take a day off work you have to wait till the next day. Then they say it will be here Monday and on Monday then they say Tuesday. Absolutely the worst delivery system ever. The worst customer service the worst communication and on top of that the furniture is extremely cheap and shoddily made.

I ordered knobs and pulls for my newly renovated kitchen, which came to about $300.00. The bubble knobs were nice and I decided to keep them. The pulls were a weird plastic metal thing and cheap looking so I choose to return those. One big problem with Wayfair is things look great in the pics but cheap and crappy when you get them. To top it off they charge me more than a third of the selling price to return them. I feel like they lure you in with great looking items and free shipping but the quality just isn't there. I ordered a couple pieces of furniture as well and it was the same with one piece. One was awesome and the other was just chintzy. My advice, pay close attention to the descriptions. If they are vague and don't state all materials used, pass.

Just wanted to add a counter review to all the negative reviews. Disclaimer: I have no association with Wayfair whatsoever, just a regular consumer who loves to shop online. This is just my two cents... take it or leave it. I have ordered a multitude of products from Wayfair, from furniture to garden/patio items to artwork to kitchen items, etc. you name it. And whenever I have had an issue with a missing a part or something dinged in shipping, I have received full refunds/replacement or significant discounts.
Customer service has always been friendly and responsive. I'm not saying that everyone who has posted something negative here hasn't had that experience, I'm sure the Reps at Wayfair are not all equally great at their jobs, but after years of working in hospitality, I know how unreasonable people's expectations can be. They go from zero to angry in an instant. Kindness and compassion goes a long way when asking someone to help you. When you are patient and nice, people tend to go out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. Because no one is bleeding out on a table here, this is consumerism i.e. first world problems.
Also many folks don't do their homework. Whenever I plan to drop a significant chunk of money on something, I do a little research online first to see competitor pricing and if there are other reviews on other sites. I also read all the reviews available on Wayfair as well. If I find a better deal at Amazon, for example, I shop there. If I'm unsure, I simply don't buy it. If the shipping time is too long for my liking, I don't buy it. I measure everything out carefully when sizing is an issue so I'm not "surprised" that something is smaller or bigger than I imagined from just looking at a photo.
If I have an issue, I contact customer service as quickly as possible. And I understand that I get what I pay for. Expecting a $200 fake leather chair to withstand the same wear and tear as a $1000 leather chair is unreasonable. Buying expensive cabinetry without checking around with other retailers is kind of irresponsible. And in the end, if you don't like it or something is wrong with it, Wayfair will address the issue to make you whole. That's what they have always done with me.
Services from any business is a partnership between the business owner and the customer. Yes, the business owner needs to do everything they can to give you the best experience/service possible. If they don't, they will go out of business. But the customer also has a responsibility to act like a reasonable adult, do their homework, and when you have a legitimate grievance, express it with constructive criticism in phone calls and emails, not anger and vitriol towards a customer service Rep, who is a human being, just trying to do their job. The customer is NOT always right when they are not expressing themselves clearly or behaving like a jerk.

Placed an order for a make up vanity over a month ago. It arrived missing the entire top part. Contacted Wayfair CS. They assured me they will look into it. After contacting them 3 more times on June 22nd (3 weeks after the initial contact) they finally sent me a confirmation with tracking of the replacement part which was due to arrive June 26th. Called June 28th and was told it might arrive around July 8th. The item is heavy and upstairs in my bathroom. To return I would have to bring the parts that are there back down repackage it for return. At first thought it would be easier to get the missing part. Terrible customer service. Never delay with anything that awful. Just blatant disrespect for the consumer.

This review is for my family who purchased a leather recliner from Wayfair that was made by Nobel House. The chair looked good but the construction was horrible inside. The side of the chair started separating and falling off when a older family member sat in it. The chair was 2 years old and old used for sitting in a family room. We called Wayfair and Wayfair automatically said contact Nobel House... no one offered any assistance and they had spent $375.
They ran us around said send pictures and never replied. We opened the chair up and at first glance the bottom pieces looked like solid wood frame. It was so not. They glue pieces of wood together leaving it hollow to try and mimic a solid piece of wood. Upholstery staples were holding things together and not any nails or screws. We tried putting in a screw and realized the wood was hollow and only really 1/8” thick.
Only a crook would construct a chair in such a manner. I wonder how many people bought this chair only to have it collapse and they fall in the floor. Don’t buy furniture from Wayfair. The cheap furniture and free shipping should tell you that matchsticks with fabric would hold better than their furniture. Bad product, horrible quality, and no accountability = Don’t buy from them.

I have ordered and have had NO real problems but I have noticed LATELY that their stock is not kept up or they are playing 'bait and switch'. I have ordered things like chandeliers and various remodeling items for my home. First, most of the stuff on their website is so 'picked over' the items with the best prices are always 'out of stock'. I recently ordered a light fixture with current stock. 3 days later I get the email - 'your item is out of stock'. After spending literally hours combing through the website I have decided I would pay a little more somewhere else and know when I place an order it will be filled. I don't want to waste my time only to be told "yeah pick out something else" for twice the price. I think if they advertise an item and it's IN STOCK I should get that price when it is restocked. I always read on the site - "the price may change when restocked". Sounds fishy to me.

As a first time buyer from Wayfair, I'm disappointed and I should have read the reviews prior to making a purchase. I ordered a coffee table which was packaged really well. However upon opening up the box, the base of the coffee table was split in half. There is no way I'll be able to put this thing together without a steady base. I tried contacting customer service during their scheduled hours and had no answer. This really ruined the experience for me and quite honestly, it's only a matter of time before Amazon put you guys out of business as well.

After spending Days deciding which Area Rug(s) we wanted to purchase, we finally got online to place our order. Got our confirmation and 10 seconds later, got notice that the order was Cancelled. I called - they said it was because my Shipping address is different than my Billing address. This is True - I have a seasonal home and the rest of the time we are in the RV... So we use a mail service address for our Billing issues. NOBODY has ever had a problem with this. SO, I was advised to wait until my credit was issued on my card from them, and try again.
SO I wait until I have my credit, I CALL to place the order... After going thru the entire process, they then tell me that my account is Noted with "Tell customer to update address on credit card to the shipping address... Otherwise she cannot order". OKEY DOKEY. Lost my business. It's not ME who needs to change my address - It's YOU who needs to change your policy. This also means NOBODY can GIFT anybody with a mail order from them either... Unless they live right next door. Ridiculous. Once they got an explanation from me, they should have been FINE with it.

I love Wayfair -- never had a problem with the Canadian site. In the past month I've ordered 4 items for my house, ranging from 2 chairs to 28 cabinet handles. With the first 3 orders, everything arrived on time in mint condition. Great prices and great convenience. With my 4th order, the drilled holes in the pulls were not quite as advertised so I could not use them. I made a phone call, an engaged human voice answered, and my refund/return was processed in a matter of minutes. I see that a few people have been disappointed by Wayfair but I wanted to write that my experience has been uniformly excellent.

I wish I could give Wayfair zero stars. I'm a first time buyer and it will most definitely be the last. Do not waste your time or money. I am redoing my living room. I ordered a sleeper sectional and an accent chair. Spent almost 2 thousand dollars. When the sleeper sectional was delivered, only half of it showed up. The delivery guys were less than helpful and also very rude. I called to report that only half of it was delivered. After numerous phone calls and emails for 2 weeks now, the problem is still not resolved.
I was told a hundred different things by several different customer service representatives. No one knows what happened and no one could fix the issue. I was more than willing to give Wayfair a fair shot, I understand that stuff happens, but enough is enough. This has been nothing but a nightmare and it is seriously upsetting. The refund was deposited immediately to my account, amazing.

First time customer. Ordered a console, and a matching coffee table & two end tables. Order notification stated 2 items shipped... but the quantity for the shipped order says the coffee table AND both end tables shipped (3 items). I only get one end table upon delivery so I call & politely complain. They arrange to ship me another one and give me a 10% refund on the two end tables. I'm like ok, that's not ideal but it's acceptable. I thought "at least they have decent customer service". The very next day I get an email saying it's back-ordered.
Now I have no idea when or if I'll get the table that WAS IN STOCK WHEN I ORDERED IT. And if I don't end up getting it I'll have a bunch of living room furniture that DOESN'T MATCH. :( I feel like I wasted my time and money spending with Wayfair. I run a shipping department so I'm usually really understanding of logistical issues... but the customer service rep "Justin" should have told me it was backordered or made sure my order shipped before they sold more to someone else.

Ordered two end tables and a dresser. Were to be delivered on the 14th of June (originally they said the 6th... then the 18th... then the 14th). Came home Wednesday to find the end tables near my front door (one on its side and the other upside down). Luckily there was no damage inside. However, the tops of the tables had stains... what looked like someone had accidentally had turpentine on a dust rag.
Wayfair apologized and said they'd send me two more... I didn't want two more stained end tables (or a stained dresser... which hadn't been delivered yet) so I cancelled the entire order (except for the fan I had also purchased). I asked how I was to return the end tables. They said in an e-mail, "Donate them or dispose of them." Then sent an e-mail saying they were refunding $224.48 of my original $743.38. WHAT? They have still not explained why they are not refunding the entire amount... but I see that $127.73 was deducted for "return shipping" which isn't happening since they told me to throw the items away. While the e-mails I do receive are pleasant... they are unresponsive to any question I ask about the refund. Will NEVER use them to buy anything ever again. Will update the review when this is settled.

We bought this spa from Wayfair 4/21/18 Mallorca 5 person spa. The first problem we run into was that when we bought a liner for our pool from Amazon is was actually sold by Wayfair so they gave us a tracking number for the spa which turned out to be the pool liner. After numerous calls to FedEx and Wayfair we figured out they gave two items the same tracking number. The spa was not even shipped till two weeks later. We paid extra for white glove delivery, which turned out the company what was going to deliver only sends 1 driver and they don’t set it up. Which after a call to Wayfair they reimburse the amount for the white glove shipping.
Before I continue I want to say the customer service was good at Wayfair, always polite, always trying to help. But due to the item we bought it just did not work out. After we got the hot tub to our deck, had it hooked up by a licensed electrician the tub would only work on low speed. So we called Wayfair. They contacted Passion Spa. They wanted to talk to the electrician, so we had to pay again for him to come to our house and talk to Passion Spa. They told him they had the wrong wiring harness diagram on our spa, and it probably burned out the pump. They promised to send the pump before Memorial Day on Wayfair insistent to mail as soon as possible.
Pump did come till 31 May after repeated calls from Wayfair to Passion Spa. The pump arrived damaged (not packed well). This item was very heavy. We were told that they had mailed it out before but UPS contacted them saying the package got damaged in shipping and they wanted to check the pump before they would send us the SAME pump that got damaged during shipping. Again we had to pay our electrician to install this pump. This was now June 5, the hot tub spa still not working. Trying to call Passion Spa. No answer. We left several messages. They never called back. Called Wayfair again on June 5 while the electrician was still at the house. Unable to get a hold of my case manager. The spa is still not working.
Wayfair wanted to assign us another case manager. Which our case manager tried her very best, she gave us a discount and offered to pay for the cost of the electrician when he got all done. The New person I talked to stated they could send out another spa and return the one we have. There is no way we can load this spa back into a delivery truck. So after we explained the whole situation to our case manager she promised to make a few calls and then she would get back with us. We have send numerous emails. Took several pictures. At this point on June 6 we just wanted a refund.
The moral of the story is, yes we were always treated nice and polite and it did seem that they honestly tried to help. But the expensive spa still never worked. So they refunded just the original price of the spa. We were out the money for the electrician even that the spa was under 5 year warranty. They let us keep the non working spa to do with whatever and we never heard again that day June 6 from our case manager.
Let me end this with saying we had bought two other items from Wayfair without any problems. Since Wayfair did not make the spa. We don’t really blame them but it was unfortunate that they promised to pay for the electrician and after they refunded the original price, I guess they thought we can carry that bill. Lesson learned.

I am totally disgusted with my Wayfair experience. I have purchased THOUSANDS of dollars of Wayfair product over the last several years. I purchased multiple items on May 9th 2018. Of that order, I was subsequently sent a cancellation of one item, with absolutely no explanation why. My order arrived. When I went to order more items for a spec home I was staging, my Wayfair card was denied. After some research, I discovered that I was double billed for my previous order, which was over 2K. I spoke to the Wayfair card services, and was told multiple times that their hands were tied, that the Wayfair finance department had to remove the extra charge.
I have called FOUR TIMES, and have been on the phone for HOURS trying to rectify the situation. Every time I am told that someone from the Finance Dept would be contacting me via email or phone within 24 hours. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. It has been almost a month, and I have no resolution. I am so angry at this point, I feel that Wayfair should not only credit me for the mistake, but credit my account for my complete previous order. I have a timeline for this project, and now I am unable to purchase the needed items to complete the staging on time. We are not talking a small order, either. And their delivery office closes at 5 pm, so we were unable to reach anyone for a status report.

Last spring, we decided to re-do the living room. It began with the need to replace our hulk of an entertainment center. I decided to give Wayfair a try. We chose a media center piece at a good price and with free delivery. It arrived quickly and that night we tried to put it together. The instructions were simple to follow, but one primary piece was severely damaged. I called Wayfair and they insisted on sending out another complete unit rather than just the damaged piece. The second unit had damage. They sent a third unit, which had problems with the finish. Between the three shipments, we were able to craft one complete piece.
Deciding this was a one-time issue, we ordered a smaller recliner and a set of occasional chairs from Italy. The recliner came with a broken leg. It had been, essentially, placed in a box with very little packing (nothing to protect the legs). Now a bit suspicious, I called Wayfair. They wanted to send out a replacement. Based on the shoddy construction (leg screwed into particle wood frame), we declined and they refunded our money.
The Italian chairs took 7 weeks to arrive, which we expected because they were coming from ITALY. We chose them for their solid mahogany wood, hand carved design, and lovely fabric. When they arrived, the boxes were in perfect condition. We opened them outside to make it easier to bring the chairs inside. BOTH of them had a BROKEN leg. The packing was ridiculous. Each piece had only some thin foam wrapping to "hold" them in place and some cardboard leg protection taped onto each leg. The lack of structured packing to isolate the chairs from shipping meant that they could move inside the box, subjecting them to the bumps and drops of what included an overseas shipping process.
We called Wayfair, heartbroken. They offered to send replacements, but by this point, we had lost all confidence. We had them refund our money. Any time a Wayfair commercial comes on, we chant back to their jingle "Wayfair is just what I need." Yes, if what you need is broken furniture. One positive note: We ordered a lovely cat perch for the living room (wood with a fabric covered top). It arrived undamaged. We will NEVER order from Wayfair again.

Very dissatisfied! The description claims the the vanity is solid birch wood when it is actually MDF (medium density fibreboard). MDF is a fraction of the price of solid wood and absorbs moisture. The description is completely incorrect and false advertising. I would have never spent over $1000 on a vanity that wasn't solid wood. The same product can be purchased at another retailer for $200. If you are looking for a bathroom vanity that is solid wood and is going to resist moisture then this is NOT the one to buy. After my review posted Wayfair changed the product details saying that the vanity base is made from manufactured wood when in fact the ENTIRE vanity is made from manufactured wood. I took a photo before they had a chance to change it. (photos attached)

I would encourage other shoppers NOT to use Wayfair for purchasing furniture. They do have a great product range and their customer service people are well trained. However, I think they use unfair practices when dealing with customers. I have ordered through them 2 items and made payment via their website but then they told me after payment had been taken that they need authorization from my bank in order to process the order. This happened to me a few times. I spoke to their customer services based in Ireland and apparently they do this for about 10% of their customers, apparently for security reasons. I asked them why they didn't do the bank authorization as part of online transaction like all other big retailers and they didn't provide a clear answer. This is standard capability for online transactions and there is no reason why Wayfair shouldn't do the same which is fairer and more straightforward for customers.
Basically this practice allows Wayfair to take the money from your account and then delay processing your order which improves their working capital. On one item I ordered (which I had problems with over their authorisation process), they told me 2 weeks after I had ordered that the item was out of stock. Essentially they sat on my payment for 10 days before informing me the item had gone out of stock.
Whenever I have ordered from Wayfair delivery timings are delayed versus the original schedule. While the customer services team are pleasant to deal with, the Wayfair systems are designed to take your payment as quickly as possible and delay processing your order as long as possible so they can pay their suppliers as slowly as possible. I wrote to Wayfair and spoke to their management team. They may claim this is not standard practice but it is. I would avoid using this company as it is not transparent or fair with customers. I also had an issue with the way the item was delivered and the delivery men (which they sub-contract to low paid delivery workers) were not pleasant to deal with.

After 20 days of waiting for a delivery, with an initial promise date of <9 days I eventually was forced to cancel my order. As orders are through 3rd party retailers, using 3rd party delivery companies, the order tracking is useless, and the Wayfair staff (nice as they are) have no immediate information to hand, and no influence on your delivery. I will never order from them again, and recommend others not to either. I also recommend the nice staff to get a job elsewhere!

I have had far better service from other companies that don't mess up their deliveries this way. I will never buy from Wayfair again and if I could give negative stars I could. I bought a patio set from Wayfair. After browsing a couple hours later I found a different set I wanted to order instead. I looked to see if their cancellation policy would allow this. I would have been fine if they had a no refund policy, but it states that you can cancel items if they haven't already shipped. My order wasn't supposed to ship for another week. I submitted my cancellation about 10 hours after my initial purchase and I received an email saying they received my request and someone would get back to me to confirm whether or not it was possible. I thought that was odd because I'm guessing it's all processed by computers and it should be easy for their system to tell whether a product has shipped yet and whether a cancellation is possible.
A full 24 hours later I receive an email saying, "Wow, it's so great. Your furniture shipped much earlier than expected!" Oh and because they were just so fast in their shipping the cancellation cannot be honored. So if you want your furniture to ship faster it seems like they will gladly expedite your shipping if they want to avoid cancelling the order. Now hopefully I'm able to catch the pickup guy to return this giant box of furniture from my entryway. Instead of scheduling a pickup time they say they will send someone to try to catch you 3 times. No time frames, estimated window, scheduling... They better catch me because I can't even move the box out to the entryway. It's too heavy and giant.

I ordered a sectional (open box) for less than half the original price. I called first to confirm, as it seemed low to me, even for open box. I was told by the rep that it was correct - she even confirmed with a supervisor that it was indeed for the sectional, no other product in that particular set (and there isn't anything else anyway, aside from a chair and an ottoman). It arrived 3 WEEKS later (ridiculous) and in the meantime we had gotten rid of our old living room furniture. From there it really went downhill.
Delivery guys called me 20 min before arriving (was told we would receive a 24 hour notice). And it was 8:30 pm. Who delivers that late? Seemed sketchy. Only half the sectional was on the truck. Asked where the other half was. They had no clue. Couldn't even tell me if that was indeed half the sectional or a couch (covered with plastic). Wouldn't open it or I had to accept the delivery. Seriously? Called Wayfair on the delivery guy's cell. Rep checked and no, there was no second delivery scheduled. And by the way, that item is discontinued. She got my info and rushed off, as her shift was ending. Again, seriously? Called 2x more this week to demand that I get comped for my time, poor experience, and the fact that I now had no furniture due to them. I checked the website today. It was still there - with 'NEW' plastered across the top. Thought it was discontinued?
Supervisor offered me 20% off the full price. I refused and told her I would never buy from them again and I would file a complaint with the state. Which I will, for misleading business practices. This was my first and definitely last experience with Wayfair. There's something borderline ethical about their business ops. Don't get sucked in by the cheap prices - you pay for it in time, aggravation, and poor service.

They were not protected at all in that box. Very disappointed and I will not use this store anymore because it was VERY LONG to get the issue settle when I called and they simply didn't seem to care about their customers. I received my bill, 37 days later, listing the regular price for the chairs, plus no 20% discount for 1st time order, as was promised. I used Wayfair first in January 2017 to order tile. After my order just never showed up I called them. After lots of communication, the person discovered that for some reason the order had been "refused" at the loading dock in Austin. She didn't know why that would have been but said it's usually because it was damaged. It had been refused approximately 1 week prior to me calling but I was never notified that that is why it wasn't delivered. Nothing had been done about it. I had already waited a few weeks to get the order so now was behind. I ended up canceling the order and getting the tile through another site.
I decided to give them another go since they are easy to find products through. However, today I was supposed to have 2 items (identical) delivered and only one showed up. I received a text "Congrats your items have been delivered!" I called and the person on the phone said "Oh looks like a label was never created for that first order." Now he has assigned me a person to "look into it" and get back with me. Unfortunately, here we go again. I guess now I officially won't be ordering through them again. Coincidence? I understand you have terms to protect you from these types of errors but this is just poor service, poor taste, and ethically misled. You should honor this price, no matter the loss. I am in sales too, and if I make a mistake in pricing, I honor it even though I have same T&Cs protecting me as you do. That is just good business and good customer service. I even did my due diligence as a consumer on this product and called you before purchasing to verify the product and price. So not only did you falsely advertise the product/price, a Wayfair employee confirmed and verified it. I called on 4/26/18 to verify the product and price, and your CSR confirmed it.
I purchased the item on 4/26/18 and was given an ETA of 5/3/18, which was then pushed back to 5/10/2018... fine. Now you canceled my order because of your mistake. Now I have to tell my kid he is not getting his big boy bed because you messed up and would not honor your word. I understand the bed sells for $1500, Sarah offered me the bed at $900 (apparently wholesale price). I know you will lose money on this sale at $293.99 but honestly is the loss of a couple hundred dollars profit (BTW your company sold over $4.72 BILLION last year) worth losing a customer? Getting ready to move, I found just what I needed for my new apartment on Wayfair and placed my first order for 10 items with them. This was in February and it's now April and I've still only received 2 items, one a large cabinet which I paid $30 shipping for. Everything else was with Wayfair's free shipping which I thought after seeing the TV commercials would be a wonderful thing - ha was I wrong! The first letdown was in finding out that my order wasn't going to be treated as an entity in itself to be delivered as one shipment with care, but instead as a series of 10 different tracking numbers with all the items seemingly floating around different shipping places that I was supposed to have a job as a customer tracking on my online Wayfair account.
I tried this at first but none of the "expected delivery dates" were on time and I had to find out myself talking to FedEx dispatch which was hard to get through to and Wayfair customer service that drivers had gone to my apartment, which is the kind above stores, but found no apartments there, only businesses! Well again, the apartments are on top of shops, so that was my first huge frustration; the fast second being when I then emailed Wayfair trying to get all of the 10 items I had already paid for. Every email was answered by a different rep who all had the attitude of "I'm very sorry BUT..." and not solving or caring about anything. A few even wrote things like "you can track your packages HERE" with a link that was only to their website for me to log in.
And I had to stop looking at the tracking of my packages on their website as it made no sense and frustrated my sense of logic to the extreme. Case in point: Some of the packages in my order ended up in shipping companies in New Jersey... and I live in Vancouver, BC Canada -- how much farther away can you get? At the end of my rope into March now, I then began calling Wayfair customer service instead of the emails which were a joke. All of the reps just apologized but didn't try to solve anything -- just communicating with me senselessly like a few asked me what I was missing in my order - which was everything except 2 items just like I had written from the beginning but each rep didn't read anything before -- would just ask me stuff they should have already run with. I started complaining and then finally at the beginning of April, I had my own "Case Manager" on the case.
I naively thought that now I would get the other 8 items I had ordered and paid for way back in February, but nope! Like some others here have said, Wayfair customer services lies and tells you what you want to hear. The case manager said she talked to FedEX and they had all my items and would deliver them soon. That was at the end of the week. Then on the weekend on the Saturday I got three calls from FedEX which are automated talking to a robot who can't answer questions telling me I had 4 items to pick up when the rep said all my 8 items would be delivered. LIE. I emailed my case manager back what happened that I didn't want FedEx to keep bugging me. She replied she had talked to them and everything was fine but she would need to reorder my items. "Was that okay." Oh sure, I was screaming inside but yeah whatever to finally get the stuff I paid for 2 months ago!!!
Well the end of the saga happened a few days ago when it soon became evident there was no reorder as FedEx was still leaving me messages to pick up the same four items. When I emailed this Case Manager she said refunding me was an option and I did take it and told her I have to since it's very clear that no one at Wayfair seems able to communicate properly with FedEx. She arranged the refund but several times kept apologizing that "I talked many times with FedEx but I couldn't get your items delivered" and kept repeating that when the problem as I told her several times was that FedEx still keeps calling me to pick items up -- called me this morning actually.
If I'm refunded then I can't legally pick up the items anymore so can you please get FedEx off my back and tell them the items aren't mine. Obviously I'm at the end of my rope with stress over all this, yet she hasn't answered me. It's so clear that Wayfair can't even control the companies who ship for them... Probably write everything off why they don't care about the stuff floating around everywhere as someone else said. EPILOGUE: I won't ever order from Wayfair again even though I want their apothecary jars so bad ha - will find them somewhere else. As for my 8 items, I will get those things I need -- bookcase, rug, washcloths, jewelry box, blanket and more all from IKEA -- a good solid company in my experience. I should have stayed with IKEA!

The next couple of days I checked its inventory online and they were still selling the same item. When it came for time to ship the item, they simply sent me an email for cancellation that it was not longer in stock! What a SCAM.

But as we was assembling the coffee table we was missing one of the legs. I contacted Wayfair and I was told their records show I only ordered end tables. When that was finally straightened out and I told them about the missing leg, the man at Wayfair didn't seem concern. He didn't ask no questions. He said the leg would be delivered on April 6th and I would get a tracking number. Needless to say I still don't have the leg and I didn't receive a tracking number and when we contacted them again today we was told that they tried to contact us for more info. Huh strange. They never tried through an email or text or voicemail. I got nothing.

Ordered a sofa set, delivered as scheduled but the dimensions were not as stated. Returned it and had to ask for full refund as they tried to deduct the shipping charges. They only offer store credit unless you are willing to pack up the sofa set and deliver to a destination of their choice. Insane. So I took the credit. Ordered second sofa set. Reviewed the dimensions and double checked with customer service on the dimensions by using the "ask a question" tab. Customer service verified that the dimensions were accurate.
When the set arrived, the dimensions were off by 14 inches, yes 14 inches. Spoke to Wayfair and after being passed from one case manager to another, they were no help. They arranged for a return without even consulting me. After more emails back and forth, they passed me to another case manager who suggested I wait 20 days for a pickup, then get a store credit and then they will use the credit somehow to refund. More complicated than a triple by-pass. This has been the worst online shopping experience ever. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT WAYFAIR AGAIN AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!

Wayfair have now promised, 3 times, to have somebody call to drill holes and attach legs. Nobody arrives. The company they use say Wayfair never submitted the order, Wayfair say the company they use didn’t schedule the call, (despite a date). I wanted to purchase the Hans Chair from the dwellstudio.com website and called to find out how much it would cost to return the chair. The most I could get, after speaking with a rep is that it would cost around $120, but that could change based on several factors. I asked at what point in the purchasing process I can find out an exact amount and I was told that only AFTER I purchase it, once they know what area I am located in and how many chairs I would purchase, can they give me an exact amount.
I said I would only like to purchase one chair and that I could give him my zip code. He still said he could not tell me until I purchase the product. He agreed that their return policy is not great, but there is nothing he can do about it. He said they go in great detail on the website to explain the return policy. BUT explaining a terrible policy, does not make it better, Wayfair... When there is so much online competition out there, you might want to reconsider how you do business. I am not purchasing the chair or anything else from your websites, until you change your return policy.

In the first case, they did eventually delivery the correct sofa (which is beautiful), but after several weeks we are STILL waiting for the wrong sofa set to be picked up. Wayfair refunded me $100 for the aggravation, so I thought I'd give them another chance and ordered a light for the kitchen island. A box arrived yesterday containing completely the wrong light. Front-end customer service and products are great, but the warehouse and delivery system, at least here in metro Atlanta, is incompetent to the point that it doesn't make any sense to order from Wayfair and its associated companies.

It was expected to be in Florida by April 7th. When I said: “Unacceptable”: I was told that to cancel the order would cost $330.00 (half the cost of the desk).
So I waited for the delivery only to find when we put it together holes were not drilled correctly, pieces were missing, wood was scratched. Will NEVER buy anything from Wayfair again. Don’t purchase anything from Wayfair or their affiliate partner Leisure Product Inc. Save your time, money, & sanity! I purchased a 5 person spa in 2015, by 2016 the water pump had already worn out. The waterfall feature on the spa also leaked within the first few months. They have service people that try to walk you through the repairs yourself over the phone, that is the extent of their warranty service. The good news is the waterfall feature no longer leaks, it also no longer works. The solutions was to shut off the feature. If you are lucky, they will give you a 30% discount on buying another crappy part that will break again. I am now on my third water pump in 3 years, not a single one was covered under the warranty.
Each pump stopped working just a few weeks shy of coverage. They start your warranty from the date you purchase, not the date received. It takes several weeks for the item to arrive, my tracking number is record of this, so this means their parts aren’t even lasting a full year, yet the 1 year warranty won’t cover it. Even when speaking directly with a manager, “There is just nothing that can be done once the warranty date has expired”. You will have to purchase a new part for another $175 every year, spend hours cursing at the spa as you pull out the old pump once again & struggle to get the new pump in. Every time you repair, you must remove the panels, which are plastic & break at the screw points, so plan on replacing those too!

I have nothing to gain or lose. There's no vendetta, there's absolutely nothing I want or need from anyone for me to lie about. The decision is yours; decided whether you want to be part of a better world, and helping one another is a good start. It is my duty to report scam for what they are. Please note: companies are in business to make "MONEY" you don't matter, and anything you think or say means nothing to them; your money is the only thing they are interested in.
I made a MASSIVE mistake to place an order with Wayfair. Not long after my order, I receive an email that my order had been cancelled due to suspicious activities. The only thing suspicious is their scummy practices. I provided these buffoons everything I had, in order to prove that, indeed, the person on the credit card is in fact, yours truly. I contacted Capital One to send an email, stating that... YES... Hello, I'm the person on the card. I can't commit fraud against me, and I cannot steal from me... That's DUMB! My name, address, and phone numbers are all legal, and connected to my card. They refuse to provide proof of the suspicious activities and fraud that they say I am involved in.
I have contacted managers, the president and CEO of Wayfair and the only thing I received was a reply to my email with this: "Dear Sara, please accept our apologies for the misunderstanding." I responded, telling them to reread my email, especially the areas that spells out my name. It's not SARA! They replied with this: "I meant to send that email to someone else. We can't help you due to suspicious activities." Seriously, WTF. I moved from that miserable state (MASSACHUSETTS) to beautiful KENTUCKY, and unbeknown to me, I find out that Wayfair is based in drumroll FREAKING, Massachusetts! This nightmare refuses to leave me.
For over two weeks, I have lived in my beautiful apartment with no bed, no table, no chairs, no food, and do you know why? Wayfair reported my good name, and somehow I don't know why or how, Wayfair managed to get other companies to block my name and credit card. Every place I've contacted, refuses to accept my credit cards. It has been hell to get these buffoons to restore my good name. Capital One, my credit card is baffled by this, and so am I. If your name has no value, and means nothing to you; trust me, you found a perfect place in Wayfair. If you value your name and time, then I suggest you stay far, far away, from Wayfair.
I am now searching for an attorney to restore my good name, and remove it, from whatever system, and mess, Wayfair placed me in. I am grateful to have learned a valuable lesson: Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, will replace American made. Chinese crap deserves to be left in China! There's nothing American about Wayfair, only cheap. Don't allow anyone take advantage or abuse you, because if you do, you deserve it!
Consumer Affairs; do not contact me unless you intend to do something about this. You do not have my authorization to verify my name or post my name for companies and expensive lawyers to benefit from. I am a mad woman, and I'm in no mood for Mickey Mouse **. I doubt this will be posted, because truth, no longer exists in our society. BTW, I was only allowed to submit 2 images on here; I have more images from other companies that also declined my orders due to the reports Wayfair filed against me. Have a good day.

This was several months ago and it is still on the website with the same claims. I worked with a good customer service rep and she gave me a good discount. Then she was ill and I could not speak to her for a few weeks. We had talked about ordering an all leather recliner. The first one I saw stated Top Grain Leather but the rep was told it was Top Grain Faux leather. So nothing about that recliner was leather at all. Then another recliner was a leather match, which is not what all leather means.
I would not trust this website, and when you order make sure you have them verify that the description is what the product actually is. I placed an order online for an accent table on 1/13/18. Immediately I received an e-mail giving me the order number and telling me that the item would ship on 1/19/18. Additionally, 24 hours later the money was withdrawn out of my account. Three days later I went online to order another table exactly like the one I had originally ordered. I had a difficult time finding the table on their website so I took some creative steps to try to find the table.
Once I located the table on their website I found out that it was on backorder and would not be available until after March 7. I immediately called customer service and was told that in fact the table was on backorder INCLUDING the one I had originally ordered on the 1/13. I received absolutely no notification advising me of the backorder and had I not done some investigating I would have never been aware that my order didn't ship on 1/19/18. Just another scam by an online company who takes your money, sends you a bogus e-mail but doesn't deliver the product. Never again!

Wayfair customer service also advise me to contact the Global Furniture and gave me a item number c534248149 and a email address info@globalfurnitureUSS.com.
I faxed Global Furniture President John Abraham, vice president Allen Breslow and customer service at 443-934-6890 and 410-633-4144. I was told by Linda of Global Furniture 886-456-4040 that my information was received and management said that the one year warranty had expired and I would have to reconnect with Wayfair. I am requesting a replacement of the leather loveseat on the basis that it peeling was unusual for normal use of the leather sofa. My wife and I are the residents in our home. I ordered a China Cabinet. It is not as advertised, is subpar, and I want to return it. This review is about how impossible (so far) it has been to get someone Wayfair has contracted with to come and get it. Since January 3 (10 days and counting) I have been attempting to get the company they use here in central NC (Non Stop Delivery) to come — no calls back; promises to give me a pickup window but never call; no one to answer the phone (even their main office can’t get anyone at the local office to answer the phone or return calls).
Finally Wayfair contracted with a different company, and now they have canceled their planned pickup for tomorrow. I spoke with someone at Wayfair early on and was given a number of someone there who is supposed to handle my case, but this person has not answered their phone, and does not have a voicemail box or email address. Right now, I just want to get rid of this China Cabinet and buy another. I want my money refunded whether or not this company ever manages to come and take the cabinet, and I certainly don’t want to pay for the shipping back. I buy online all the time, even large items, and have never had an experience like this. I certainly do not recommend Wayfair.

This is a review of how Wayfair works, not about a specific product. I was all set to buy a piece of furniture for roughly $670 and put it in my cart. However, it does say this is NOT returnable so I waited overnight to make sure I was certain that I really wanted it and so the next morning I go to order it and now it’s $817. I called Wayfair and was told they change prices “multiple times a week” AND you can always call them and ask them to hold the price for 7 Days. Well, isn’t that special... Too late for me, I guess they really don’t want to sell things that much as they would not give me the lower price. So be aware of how this site works.

After spending almost $2500 at Wayfair, I will not be using their service again. I initially ordered a bed (Modloft Prince bed, queen size) on 12/7/17. When it was delivered on 12/20, only two of the three cartons (side rails, platform, headboard) were delivered-- the headboard was missing. The Wayfair customer care team informed me they could not locate the headboard, and the headboard is not available separately. Therefore, I would need to return the originally delivered portion, and place a new order. I had already unpacked the side rails when I realized I did not have all the parts; I repackaged these for pickup when the replacement pieces were available.
When the order arrived on 1/11/17, it included TWO sets of side rails (in two different colors), no platform, and the headboard. I spoke to a customer care member at the time of delivery, who allowed the delivery team to deliver the headboard, to be combined with the originally delivered side rails and platform. The delivery team carried my headboard upstairs, damaging the walls and the ceiling of my stairwell in the process. On top of this, the corner of the headboard was damaged, which only I realized as I was putting the bed together.

I placed an order for a Christmas gift for my wife and the order went through fine. The product did not arrive within the specified timeline so I called Wayfair to check on the order. They told me that the order was cancelled afterwards as it was flagged for potential fraud. I was told that an email was sent which I did not see because I saw the order confirmation and thought it was fine. Plus I don't check this email address frequently because of all the spam one gets from online shopping. I shop online tremendously and have never had an order cancelled for fraud after it was placed, never. I've had transactions not go through due to it being flagged for fraud, but I know immediately at that point and don't receive an order confirmation as I did here. Someone could have called me to inform me.
Being that this was a Christmas gift it was very important for me and this left me in a big bind because the item because no longer in stock on their website. What's worse is that when I called Wayfair to check on the order status the person on the phone could not help me otherwise and put it in their system for someone to call me back from the department that could help. I NEVER received a call, not even weeks after. I've never had such a poor experience from a popular company like this and could not be more disappointed.

Spent a bit of time finding a TV stand to replace a wobbly one I already have. To my misfortune, I decided on this horror. It is very appealing to the eye. The reviews were overwhelmingly good. It arrived undamaged. While assembling it seemed very unstable. I thought once I completed it, that would fix the problem. Nope! I tried again using a YouTube video on correct way to use camlocks. No improvement. I even tried wood glue. No good.
I contacted Wayfair to see if I could return and get a store credit. They state in the return policy, if you take the store credit they will come and get the item from you. As long as it was not assembled. Really? Do they think I bought this, spent 2 to 3 hours assembling. Then disassembling. Then reassembling, so I would on a whim, just decide No I don't want this? Or maybe I ordered It to look at It and return. It is a horrible, unstable, wobbly piece of junk. I am now stuck with. Please beware of buying furniture online. You don't know what you’re getting until you put it together, by then if it turns out to be junk it's too late to return. Just so you know the manufacturer is Twin Star Ind. of Delray Beach, FL. So the first set named Aqua showing nice watery blue set arrived and it was aqua green. I filled out the return and UPS person came to pick it up and he start quizzing me what is wrong (none of his business). Made that return very uncomfortable (previously he was asking me if I am Polish, which also is none of his business, and I am not. I get he was trying to flirt and be friendly but I don't like when my privacy is intruded upon).
So I reordered in a different colour and was told that delivery is from 8 am to 8 pm. Well at 6 pm (and me staying at home as my guests were arriving and we purchased the same curtain colours for the kids' room) I check the delivery notice and I was shocked to see that it was delivered. You see, when they come to the building they have to buzz and that connects to my phone and I can also turn on the camera to see whom I am letting in the building. The call never arrived. I went downstairs and checked if there is a notice. Nope.
Called Wayfair, said I waited all day long, wasted one day of wages and that I am fuming. The person over there started to patronize me and she said 'she will explain it to me', so she said I was delivered. I was furious. I am losing $1300 and now some customer service is treating me like an idiot after practically stealing this money from my pocket. Very poorly trained and supervised for some I'd even say poorly raised. Even though prices in products are very very good I will no longer be dealing with Wayfair. The poor customer service experience has been with roughly nine members of the calling center, and accuracy wise I literally had to drive to FedEx local to straighten things out. The last three names are the latest people we have dealt with. They assured us that before sending the sofa, they would have the factory confirm that the correct sofa was being sent. They failed to get confirmation and now it is in transit from NC to Dallas which apparently will take 4 weeks. So we are now waiting... NINE MONTHS later to receive the correct sofa. So I ordered a queen sized mattress and a foam pillow top for it. It arrived within 4 business days and it was exactly what I ordered. Considering I bought it on Black Friday and the order was filled so fast! I will definitely be buying from them again.

I made the mistake of ordering 2 rugs with Wayfair's credit card. On 23 Oct. 2017, I paid $55.60 for these 2 rugs which slid around no matter where I put them. There is no backing to hold them still. On 20 Nov 2017, I received a late fee of $27.00, and also $27.00 late fee for not paying the first late fee!!! I talked to three different representatives asking them to waive at least one of those fees, and they would not compromise even though I was confused about their billing practices. Never again will I do business with Wayfair.

Ordered a set of couches that were in stock on Nov 9th. Couches were showed to ship on the 13th. They did and were expected to arrive at the sub depot on the 21st. According to the tracking at the time until we called they showed to have arrived at the depot on the 16th. Per Wayfair's shipping terms... the depot is suppose to contact us within 2 business days to arrange delivery. 2 days went by and nothing. So I called and they had no record of them being at the depot on the 16th and told me that they had changed the arrival time to the 24th at the depot. They gave us a case manager to monitor our order and we were suppose to be given daily updates.
On the 24th we were told give more than 1 day after the call... that they have arrived at the depot and we would be hearing from the depot to arrange delivery. Heard nothing for more than 2 days. Called again. They could not find them and were not getting a response from the depot. SO they decided to ship us new ones... shortly after the case manager said she finally heard from the depot and that no later than the 4th would be contacted. It is now the 4th and NOTHING! So annoyed. SO I decided to write reviews until I get some service.

I am sick of getting broken merchandise, or the wrong merchandise from Wayfair. I spend a lot of money with them. They want me to pay return postage for broken merchandise that they broke. Until it arrives at my doorstep...it's theirs. I am going to get the flowchart of Wayfair and bombard them with letters. Send letters to supervisor, their supervisor, their supervisor until I reach the VP of department. I'm going to make their life a living hell.

This is literally my first negative review ever. I purchased two items from Wayfair on two different occasions on November 14, 2017, and November 24, 2017. In both occasions, my shipping address was documented wrong in which my Nov. 14th item was dropped off at the wrong apartment number by FedEx and Wayfair had to reorder it again and I had to wait another 5 days to receive my order. Neither party didn't bother to suggest shipping next day or anything to accommodate the situation.
The Nov. 24th item supposed to have been delivered today but the shipment is delayed another 3 days due to my apartment number was missing when speaking to a UPS representative. My boyfriend and I always get things delivered and has never had this issue with our address and on both occasions I made sure our address on my Wayfair account was correct. I initially thought it may have been FedEx during the first incident but the fact that this happened again within weeks of each other really bothered me. The only reason Wayfair has 2 stars is during the first incident when speaking to Wayfair rep. Lori was really nice.
