    Order a new writing desk and chair for my wife's Birth Day. I ordered the item 21 days before her B-day. The expected delivery was two day before her B-Day. Now found out it will be at least one week late. WAYFAIR explanation... "the item was on backorder and we were trying to contact the manufacturer many times without success." WTF??? Makes no sense at all. Unhappy and have not even received the product.

    Although the piece arrived intact, it broke when my daughter sat on it (she is under the maximum weight limit). Customer service was excellent and storage bench has been replaced.     After waiting several weeks for the delivery of the Collins Premier arm chair I was notified days after the expected delivery date that the chair had been "lost" in shipping. I had ordered the chair in anticipation of a large house party and was sorely disappointed when I received the email stating that the chair had been lost. Although I was offered a re-order, I would be very wary to order from Wayfair and will likely never order from the company again.

    I have bought several chairs, and donated them to my church. They were awful. The last and final purchase I have made was a outdoor seating set, that was meant for midgets. It was not represented well online and could only be seen what the quality and size was, after you put it together. I wasn't allowed to return it because I put it together.     I ordered a patio dining table for my daughter-in-law's birthday. It was scheduled to arrive Feb. 22.     The experience as far as ease of using the site and delivery process was very good. I was however disappointed with the quality of my item. It was only a few days into using it and the stitching began to come apart. I had to try and hand-sew it which was in a very difficult spot. The padding on the foot portion of the recliner was poorly padded and the edge of the board rests on my calves without padding. I purchased this particular recliner because it was marked down from 500+ dollars to 200. Without being able to physically inspect the recliner I assumed the value would indicate quality.

    Wooden chicken coop with fence and ramp -- Fast shipping, arrived early and as described. It took me 2 hours with a Phillips-head screwdriver to put the whole coop together. I am a 65 year old woman, so 2 hours isn't that bad for assembly, right? I had to read over the instructions a couple of times, but they were easy enough to follow. Be sure you put the sides on exactly as described, or you will have to de-assemble and turn them around. I highly recommend using the kind of screwdriver that you can ratchet back after each turn, so you don't have to turn the handle all the way around. Some of the screw holes are hard to reach.

    Anyway, I love the coop, more important is my Silkies love it. The coop is inside of a chicken wire pen, so they can go out during the day. They lay eggs in the loft nests, and come down the ramp with no problems. When they are locked in at night they are very safe and secure. We had two, heavy thunderstorms since I got it, and the Silkie chicks stay dry and snug. However, we are going to silicone-seal along the roof cap, for extra protection. I have two Silkies, maybe could add one or two more, but it would not be big enough for more than four. Three regular-sized chickens max. Good luck, hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!

    I am happy with Wayfair and its service but the rugs I purchased I am definitely unhappy with as far as material of rugs and ways to vacuum them. You can't use a regular vacuum cleaner as they have beater bars, nor use a carpet sweeper as it doesn't work. It means buying another vacuum without a beater bar just to clean the rugs. My new vacuum does not have a way to turn off beater bar so I am stuck.

I had looked for some time for a pattern that was special, something that was not what everyone had and that had rich colors.     In the end, dresser was too broken and Wayfair accepted it's return.

    A week after the return, the little leg screws were mailed out by Wayfair.

    I was happy Wayfair accepted the return of the broken dresser, but I spent around 5 hours on the phone and in the end did not have a dresser. The customer service is friendly, but there is no follow through. After you hang up, there is little or no follow through on fixing the problem.

    I also bought a bed and it arrived and was a advertised and I like the bed. But if you have a problem expect to spend a lot of time on the phone and multiple phone calls over multiple days.

    Furniture that was suppose to be delivered into my house was delivered to complex office half a block away. Delivery company called me, I was in meetings. When I called them back they had already delivered it incorrectly. 24 hours notice is the norm. Customer service very friendly. Promised to have delivery company bring into my house but they actually did not follow up & nothing happen. I paid someone to deliver it (it was big and heavy).

    I then found out 2 out of 4 little screws that adjust legs to make them even were broken. Again customer service very friendly and even emailed to confirm that they were doing something. But the problem was not solved, no little leg screws were mailed to me. The leg screws cost cents and fit in a normal envelope. The dresser costs $780. Seems like something easy to solve. The dresser is not stable without them. I will have to return but then I have no dresser since I already got rid of the old one. Problems happen, it is important to see how the problems are solved. Wayfair was unable to help me with either of the two problems I had with my order, though they are friendly and reassure you they are solving the problem they actually do not.

This can disrupt the comfortability of the mattress. When I contacted customer support the representative contacted the manufacturer to familiarize herself with the shipping procedures.     My husband and I just built a new house out in the country and we live outside of a very small town. The closest town is about 25 miles away. I was talking to my daughter about some things that I wanted to get and she said to try Wayfair because it’s free shipping and the stuff comes right to your door and that’s just what I need. Besides the free shipping, I didn’t have travel costs, so that was really good for me and I really enjoyed it. Sometimes I think things are a bit too high but I realize, they've got to cover that shipping somehow. Also, I'm not a big spender. Now that I've got most of what I need, I'm not really gonna spend like I did there for a while.

    It's okay navigating the website but I always feel like I’m missing something. There are so many different places or different ways to find things on it and I don’t know the different spots to look for stuff.     I ordered a mirror from Wayfair, and happened to be in a hurry. Without closely reading the "ship to" section, I pressed the complete order button, and waited for my mirror to arrive. Days passed before I realized something was wrong... I had accidentally sent my purchase to my son in another part of the country, instead of to myself!     The packages arrived as scheduled; however, there was damaged product in BOTH boxes. It was the same piece – the bookcase top – in each box. Both pieces were packed in the box interiors, so the damage wasn't caused externally. I called right away and was told that rather than return the bookcases they would ship me replacement tops. I was happy with that solution. I was told it would take up to 2 weeks to get the replacement. Again, I was OK with that. HOWEVER, it got pushed out another week. Again, inconvenient, but I can live with it. NOW, I got another email yesterday that my replacement is being pushed out yet another week! I'm getting more unhappy with Wayfair as these delays continue.

    I have purchased MANY things from Wayfair over the year and every purchase has been great quality and price. Customer service has been outstanding. One item was back ordered and they resolved it fast since I needed it by a certain time. Another time the price had dropped by $20 within hours of buying and they credited me the new price.     Customer Service did their best to ensure that the missing screws were replaced. They sought clarification as to exactly what was missing from the parts (black decorative screws that were significant to the finished product by securing the cap on the top of the outdoor wall light). I believe that was correctly conveyed to the vendor. When the 1st estimate of shipping was lengthy... delaying my install appointment, CS rallied the vendor to move quicker. SADLY, the vendor sent 2 sets of installation hardware, instead of the right & requested part. I gave up at that point.     I like Wayfair a lot and I got a lot of stuff from them. I liked the first thing that I ordered and then kept looking and ordering all the time. Their cost is really low. The quality isn't the best stuff I have ever had, but it always looks good and so I’ve been happy with my purchases. We just got a really good mattress that we like and we bought it for $300 which was a really low price. And when I had a mirror bureau that got damaged getting delivered and the glass was broken, they told me to just keep it. I didn’t have to return and go through all that. They sent me a new one, which was good. They were really helpful and nice about it.

    Wayfair is a good company and I tell my kids and my friends about them. I love their products. They are nice and it's very easy to shop online. The website is very easy to navigate through. I’m not a computer person, but I was able to do it myself. I just order whatever I want, push the shopping cart, and they deliver it in two days. I really like the fast delivery and it’s usually free if it’s over $50, which it always is. I highly recommend Wayfair.

    I have purchased 3 items from this company in two occasions and the experiences have been both bad. The first items were a dresser and a nightstand. The dresser arrived missing screws. We had to ask for them and wait until they wanted to send them. The nightstand looks very flimsy and cheaply made, nothing what it looked liked in the picture.

    The last item, a TV stand, I purchased it by mistake and let them know right away to cancel it because the picture was misleading and after I found out, I told them I did not want it. They told me they could not cancel it even though I told them less than five minutes after I placed the order. The TV stand has been in the box for months and when we decided that we would assemble it, we realized after having everything almost assembled, the top part of the TV stand has missing holes to screw the screws they sent with it. Needless to say that I will not purchase another item from Wayfair. This company has nothing fair in it, just part of the name. Some of the people in customer service that I had to deal with via email showed that their customer service skills suck. I am giving it one star because I cannot say 0.

    I ordered the couch I wanted and there was a slight problem with my billing and shipping address being different so I had to change my address with my bank, and called Wayfair and they said everything would process normal now. Well after waiting a month for the couch I checked and my order had been cancelled. I called and asked why and they said they did not know why it got cancelled but would reorder it. So they reordered it and it charged my account twice, I called again and told them and they said within 3 business days the first charge will be refunded.     I have ordered multiple times from Wayfair and have been quite satisfied with the products and customer service received. My complaint is about the multiple transportation subcontractors involved in the delivery of the products and who bears responsibility for property damages. In our case, the truck driver damaged our stone wall during the delivery. The assistant driver is supposed to provide support to the driver when parking the truck. In this case the assistant stayed in the truck and my stone wall was damaged in the process. We took pictures, the driver called his contracting company to report the incident and a nightmare of calls to subcontractors in the whole chain unfolded.

    I called Wayfair after chasing down 2 transportation subcontractors without success. Each one of them kept passing the ball to the other. Wayfair responded with a 10% discount over the purchase $72, stated that they reached out to the freight company, and that absent of a call in 3 days I should go to a small claims court. The damage of my wall is between $850 and $1,200. Couple of thoughts here:

    1. How many subcontractors are in between transactions? Which lead me to think about how much margin there is to have so many companies in between: 3 logistics transportation in the chain, a furniture manufacturer, a dealer, and Wayfair?

    2. Online purchases are a great convenience until you reach an issue related to responsibility and liability. In this case it is easy for these multiple companies to ignore the situation and leave the consumer at a loss. We have spent hours sending emails and calling multiple people without success. It is draining and the consumer loses.

    We would have had a different outcome if we would have purchased locally and not online. I believe Wayfair should be transparent with its customers about freight liability. If AT THE TIME OF ORDERING it is clear that damages are not covered, as a customer, I have a choice. In our case, the consumer is at a loss because ultimately we have to bear the expense of repairing our wall. I paid in full and in good faith. I leave you thinking about the scenario if instead of a wall, a person or a pet is hurt in the process. The consumer would be left on its own.

We had purchased a little bathroom vanity and sink, and Wayfair did two really nice things. One was the legs were there but the cabinet itself wasn’t pre-drilled to screw the legs into, which was annoying. They sent a person to our home to drill the holes for us and that’s an “Oh, wow” when dealing with an online company like that. We were really very gratified by that. Then they were willing to swap out the sink because it was too big. They took it back and sent me a little one. It was really very impressive and I was very pleased with their customer service.     I recently ordered a duvet comforter as a gift and when placing the order, filled out the shipping address with the name and address of the person to whom I was sending the comforter. It appeared to go through correctly. I was then out of the country until after the item was to be delivered. When I arrived home, the comforter was sitting at my condo doorstep.

    When I called and talked to Harrison in customer service, he told me said there was no indication in the order that I had requested it be shipped to another person. He also said that I had received an email confirming the shipping address. Since I didn't receive Email during the time I was away I hadn't received any confirming order. Somehow I thought Wayfair would get it right and didn't worry about it. Harrison insisted that Wayfair had got it right.

    After some conversation Harrison told me he would arrange for Fedex to pick up and redeliver the order at my expense. I told him there would be no future business with Wayfair if I was to pay to correct their mistake. I was grateful when he, after placing me on hold, came back and told me that Wayfair would pick up and redeliver the package. I thanked him. He then asked for the correct mailing information, again placed me on hold and apparently communicated it to Fedex.

    When he came back he told me that Fedex would pick up the package, offering only an 8 hour window on each of three consecutive business days. Harrison hadn't bothered to learn that my building has a mailing service which Fedex uses, and I could have placed the package there. When I explained that to him his response was to begin to lecture me on "Wayfair practices" so that I wouldn't become confused again in the future. I asked him to please stop lecturing me and he just kept talking - becoming more condescending as he continued. I asked him three times to please stop lecturing me and he just kept going. Finally he said that he wasn't lecturing and I told him that it felt that way to me and asked him to please stop. (I am sure the call is recorded.) He told me that he would cancel the new Fedex order, which I assume he did. I will take care of the problem AND I will never use Wayfair again.

    I ordered a table for my daughter & had it shipped to her home. When it arrived it was damaged. She called Wayfair & they said they would send her another. It seemed strange to me because when she first wanted to order the table they were completely out of the one she wanted. When I went on my computer they had just one left. The one that was available was probably one that someone had returned because it was damaged. I am sorry that my daughter had to go through the disappointment of having to ship the item back. They then told her she could keep it & donate it & they would send a new one. They did send her a new one but it was not a good experience.     I bought a house down in Virginia and had purchased furniture and art work from Wayfair for the past year and a half. I don't have a car, so I can't drive around to look in various shops. So I go online, and I know what I'm looking for as far as the style and the materials, and Wayfair usually have what I want. They’ve got a good variety. But if you see something you like you have to order it because if you let it go for another month, it's gone.

    Ordering online is really easy. Wayfair sends an email, which gives me the choice of six different categories that are on a special sale for anywhere up to three days. I can go through that and see if there's something that interests me. And if it does, I click on that, order it, and then pay for it. Some of the items have two day shipping. But the free shipping is a big attraction since I've bought some big things. And even though it's free shipping, it still has good quality. I've sent a couple of things back because they were misrepresented in the text, but not because of poor quality.

    The customer service reps are quite good because I had a problem with one of the items getting delivered. It kept getting delayed. I had to pay someone to be at my house for the scheduled delivery date, which for one reason or another, it never materialized until the third try. I waited for about three months to get a dresser in my bedroom. So that was a little frustrating. But it really wasn't Wayfair's fault; it was the trucking company. I've had something from Wayfair delivered to my Virginia address, but I had a stroke and I'm up in New York right now. I just hope that somebody brought them inside for me. I've also had things delivered to my friend in New York, but because I didn't put her apartment number down, UPS sent it back to Wayfair, and I don't know whatever happened to it. But the products that they market are really quite good.

    This is my second experience with Wayfair and both very bad. When you order from Wayfair they give you a shipping tracking timeline and state your local shipper will call with delivery date. "Manko" is the local shipper for both my orders. 1st problem Manko does not call. They just try and deliver. 2nd issue Manko delivery people are very unhappy so beware.

    On this last order I placed an order based on delivery time table, and when ordered it said delivery date between March 17th and 20th... Yeah so I ordered and tracked the order online. It was already received at local shipper "Manko" by March 11th. Hmm that is now 5 days early... and being afraid the shipper would just deliver and leave my $1,600 cabinet outside for 7 days... I called Wayfair and alerted them that I planned my trip to our Florida home based on the deliver date of March 17th to 20th. So Wayfair customer service called the shipper and got the deliver held off until week of March 20th. And in the email said "Manko" the shipper will call to schedule this deliver but if I wanted to call them I could. Hmm ok so I called... and I called... and I called. No answer, hung up on 4 times. Got voicemail which was full so no message could be left.

    So I called back Wayfair customer support. Explained the issue again and was promised an answer by end of day? This was so very important now that we spend $800 on tickets to Florida... No response back from Wayfair. Ok so know I am in Florida waiting to get cabinet and I call Wayfair again. "Oh I am so sorry," they say. "We will get this worked out. Again we will call you back and solve this and get you a delivery date." I get a call back late in the day. Wayfair tells me "very sorry but "Manko" has lost your cabinet"??? This is the same cabinet they confirmed recovering on March 14-15 and a delivery on week of 20th. Now Wayfair says it is lost in transit and they are refunding me my money?

    Ok... So let's see Wayfair refunds $1,605.00 on March 16th and says it will take 3 days to credit to my cc. On March 6th they charged my account $1,605.00. Hmmm who pays the interest for 13 days? Me the consumer. So I am now out $800 plus interest on order and the cabinet. I look on Amazon who is detailed and always on time with shipping to find the cabinet less than Wayfair and can get it to me a week sooner than Wayfair could if I choose to get it from Wayfair. So buyer beware... always check Wayfair price and be ready for a nightmare with shipping and delivery.

    I ordered two items a couch and an area rug. The area rug was suppose to ship by today instead I received an email letting me know the item is out of stock and would be delayed. That's fine. It happens all the time with other stores as well. However the new expected ship date is MAY 15 that's over 2 MONTHS from when I placed the order!!! That is not a delay. The item clearly should not be listed as available on the website if it has over 2 months delay to receive it. I am canceling the item and am very tempted to cancel the couch as well.     This has got to be the worst business to deal with. First thing is don't believe their smooth enticing commercial of easy going delivery process because it is not like that at all. I ordered some furniture thinking that their prices were reasonable (believe me you get what you pay for). Anyways about three days later I get a bill for it, so I call stating that I am not willing to pay for furniture until I receive it and asked if they can postpone the due date until after I get it. They said that I should receive it way before the due date... well here we are due date is here... still no furniture because it has been setting at the local delivery agent going on three days now, I even called there to schedule a delivery and got transferred a few times and directed to a voicemail with no callbacks.

    So I called, eight customer service agents later, I ended up with if I cancelled the order I now would now have to pay return delivery fees (of course for furniture I have not received) so I then asked if I can get someone to change the due date... that way I don't get hit with their extremely high interest rate. Well I think you know what happened. Here I am warning anybody who decides to buy bulky items. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

    The delivery was scheduled in a four hour window. An hour after that time had expired I still had not heard from them. I called Wayfair and the delivery company. She tried to call the driver who did not answer his phone. They arrived 5 1/2 hours late. When my husband checked their work before they left, he noticed there were no screws in the holes to attach the table top to the base. They said there were not any more screws. They were going to leave without telling us!!! Wayfair has no procedure to expedite a new parts kit to fix this, so I don't know how long I'll have to wait, and re-schedule someone to re-assemble it correctly on top of that. A simple fix of buying 4 screws and sending another team to re-assemble correctly was not available... Not acceptable customer service options available.

    I ordered a toilet seat from Wayfair for my new American Standard toilet I was installing in my bathroom. When the shipment came to my place of residence I was much surprised how fast the service was in me getting my product in a timely manner. Come to find out after unpacking my toilet seat and trying to install the unit on my new toilet, the hinge assembly was poorly constructed and had very poor quality control in building the hinge unit itself. (No problem of Wayfair.)

    So I contacted Wayfair about the problem I had with this toilet seat assembly, and informed them that I could not install it because of the poor quality in construction of it, and asked them if I could return it for a full refund for what I paid for it. They immediately got back to me in one day with an email, telling me that there would be no problem in refunding me my money, and explained to me their refund process and my refund would be processed in 3-5 days. This made me assured that this company will go the extra mile to satisfy their customers, and because of this, I have no reservations that Wayfair will stand behind their product and portray customer satisfaction throughout. I also must say that the agents I dealt with was very courtesy, and professional in handling my issue.

    Wayfair has a bigger variety of things. I was familiar with Overstock but it looked like I could get more things from Wayfair than I could from Overstock. They have stuff from different manufacturers and they carry a lot of Hooker furniture which has pretty good quality. So, that's what impressed me. They have stuff at the lower end but they also have things at the upper end. I order online through my cellphone app and I also get emails from them that'll show what's on sale. When I get those, I'll look to see if anything interests me. But I'm mostly on the app, looking at furniture and artworks because I like to decorate. I first ordered a chest to go with my foyer and I got a 10% discount on it.

    The only time I ordered something from them that I had to cancel was an ottoman I had been wanting that I got a better deal locally. I bought a sectional for my living room and I needed the ottoman. Wayfair had one and I placed the order but then, I was in one of my local furniture stores. I was showing the store manager the ottoman I'm getting and he said that they have that in the store. It was half the price of Wayfair's and it was under a different name but it's identical. My manager friend explained that a lot of furniture comes from the same factory, a different company takes it and they name it whatever.

    But my experience with Wayfair has been good. I've seen some reviews from other people where their merchandise was damaged but that has not been my experience. Everything that I've ordered from them has come in a good condition. My first order came packaged very well, it was in excellent shape and I didn't have any issues with it. I have told a few of my friends about them.

    The first order number is a dresser that arrived damaged - was not stained all the way around on the wood and is awaiting return. Another one is supposed to be on the way. I have been tracking it and has been sitting in the final location for a long time. The second number listed is a bunk bed house that has not yet arrived. We called the number where it is awaiting its final pick up and they said that the corner of the bunk bed is broken off. I contacted Wayfair last week and they said they would follow up on Monday with me but I received no contact from Wayfair. I ordered both items Feb. 5th. When the first dresser arrived, no one contacted me to let me know that they would be making a delivery, but we had someone there just in case. We knew it would be that day.
