Good luck trying to cancel - when you sign up and start researching, it seems that you're going to get a decent amount of info. No complaints there. As you go deeper, it's a bit of a "bait and switch" and each 'extra' is another (separate) monthly subscription. I opted for it, so - my bad. I no longer needed the service and cancelled it, but the charges keep coming. When I disputed the charges with my credit card company, Truthfinder locked my account. Luckily I'd taken a screenshot so I have proof. I'm bracing myself to yet another slew of charges this month.

The old bait and switch! During the Search portion of the setup they make promises of hidden gems of importance, then after you pay nothing more than you can get off a free credit report. Such a scam. I have ask for a refund so we will see.

Truthfinder charged me for one subscription twice on the same day. After 5 emails they finally issued refunds, but now they continue to charge me for a subscription even after they acknowledge that I canceled the subscription. I have made one phone call and several emails have been sent back and forth and still no solution because they claim they can't find my account, but they have no problem finding it when they want to charge me for a cancelled subscription.

Agent was very helpful and took care of my cancelation right away. I did not realize the cost and did not mean to enroll so she got me canceled and I wanted to cancel it and get refunded and she advised I would get my refund in 3-5 business days. I'm a senior and not able to understand the site and navigate so not helpful for me.

Provided nothing useful for what I was searching. My wife was married 3 times before me and I was trying to get info on a previous divorce. There was nothing on her prior marriages or divorces. Not one thing. That advertising was the only reason I went through the process. So I gave 2 stars instead of only 1. Customer service was fantastic though.

They are scammers. I paid for one month and next month I'm billed again. Trying to get into my account: password doesn't work and numerous attempts to receive a link to reset password didn't work. The report was awful. Couldn't understand many things and compare to other companies' report was absolutely not usable.

This is a scam. I canceled the first day and have been charged for two months and can't get my money or it canceled. Customer service is a joke, no one reads emails.; Thanks for stealing from people under false pretenses.

It intentionally wastes your time pretending to be fetching data, only so that you have invested so much time in waiting, that you are more prone to pay for the data at the end. No data will be provided at the end without buying a subscription. This is unethical business practise, so I would never trust them my credit card info.

Claims to be free but when you enter the information you have to pay for at least a month before you can get the information! I guess the Ad I saw was just click bait to get you to spend your time filling out the info. And then charging you.

Is this a joke? I can’t imagine that people would give this 5 stars. I searched myself and several family members, there isn’t one things on any of these reports” that I would validate as “facts” let alone public record. Several hours later and $40 out and I have discovered that my great grandmother is “still alive“. My neighbor “owns my house” and I’m “a fugitive." Give me a break. Don’t waste your money or time.

I did a deep search for myself and others on Truth Finder. I was completely shocked to find that each person and myself appeared on the government watch list. This is completely false. Therefore I cannot endorse this site.

Truthfinder is a scam. I paid for one review and the company charged me monthly for over a year. I never agreed to that…I am disputing with my credit card company. They should be fined and put out of business. H **

In our day and age, I totally get keeping information as "secure" as possible. However, this site definitely is a disappointment. If you are going to charge for the information you have, SAY IT UPFRONT! Don't completely waste 10 minutes of my life. I will never get back with all this incredible information you promise to deliver only to tell me you won't provide it unless I pay up. Never using this site again.

I am keeping this account open to verify it's still around 50-60 incorrect. Can't be in 2 states, 2 jobs, 2 addresses, 2 names at same time. Arbitration clause is smart, but there's a way to clean up this falsehood. Not my public records, I'm not magical, nor have I ever been charged and jailed in state prison. Sadly I didn't get that degree either. A common name shouldn't allow a company to make false allegations as though they were truth. Your company does no verification of records but publishes as factual. There will be a civil recourse, some way. Good day.

It would be nice to ask about memberships before you spend 10 minutes waiting on a report you can’t even see, and also you guys use the word “embarrassing” a lot, I’m no professional, but that doesn’t seem professional. Also you better unlink my email to this, how come you can ask for personal info first but not what decides if you can view the report or not. I was interested in one person not their whole bloodline. I don’t need that.

VERY DECEPTIVE AND FRAUDULENT COMPANY!! They have you bank information and even when you believe you have canceled the account and they send a confirmation of the cancel, they do not tell you you did not cancel some other service you did not know you signed up for.

The email that was sent to me does not confirm that my subscription was canceled. I thought that was the reason it was sent to me. I canceled it over the phone yesterday 4/15/24. The service is great. I was able investigate someone I was concerned with & by looking into their background. I was able to put it all to rest. Olga

Literally make you wait FOREVER and after like 10 minutes of sitting there say the only option you have is to pay 30 a month. Entrapment. Also, they advertise with "don't waste your money" bull. It is a fraud.

Attempted to cancel numerous times, now they are double charging. Beware. Do not give them any account information. Avoid at all costs!! When called assured it was not double charged. Wrong! May have to cancel card to get them to stop charging.

Update to review. I was upset when I wrote the review when I got an unexpected charge for a subscription that I hadn't signed up for I thought I was only paying for a month long use. The company resolved the issue right away and did issue a refund. I was happy with the original report I received. I have changed it to a 4 star rating because I did find some info not up to date but this may not be the fault of Truthfinder but whoever reports the information to them.

Based on my limited experience there is no quality control or feedback to correct bad or false information. I will attempt to contact the company, Truthfinder but these days this is a long shot to reach a customer service rep who actually has any authority. There could be a on site method to correct bad data and I realize this might be an expensive improvement. I know I am not the first to have problems with their bad data. Maybe Consumer Affairs could get more involved.

It was a wonderful experience using TruthFinder. He help me locate a friend of mine, that I was in third job. By using truth armor, I was able to locate my friend Nancy. We have been friends for over 20 years. She usually text me daily, and I haven’t heard from her lately, so I was worried. But she’s OK, she was just sick.

My children are now in their 50s looking for family health conditions that run in their father's family. We had not seen him or heard from him in 50 years, had no idea how to get in touch with him. With TruthFinder I was able to track him down. His name had a very unique spelling which helped spelling which helped. We were able to make contact and he responded and with the information they were looking for and they were able to talk to him. The time was excellent. He had heart issues, and passed away about 2 months after I found him. Thanks to Truthfinder. I was a little leary in the start, but was very happy with the results. I had tried another service without much luck.

I was pleased that I could use your service to locate a former colleague with whom I had lost touch quite some time ago. He has a common name & only a general location but y’all found him for me. You provide a great service.

This service is very fast and offers lots of information about the person you are trying to locate. Very reliable. Tried another service who did not work as well and had to submit a conflict report to get refunded. Have not had any problems with this service. Customer service is very helpful.

Used service for 1 lookup. Search was easy to do and results were pretty quick. Today I cancelled because I do not need to continue looking for people and the representative was excellent, she was very helpful, polite and very courteous.

Most info was good/true.... phone numbers, business ownership and number of marriages, as well as property ownership. Some info was not current, like address location and current vehicle. If needed, I would certainly use TruthFinder again.

When seeking a friend who simply 'disappeared' between Christmas and New Year Day, I researched and found lots of info that led me to EVENTUALLY learn from his colleague that he fell in his own home, hit his head and died. I also attempted to research another former friend from 40+ years ago, but too many other people had the same name, so I decided not to pursue further. When I chose to cancel my membership your Customer Service person handled my request with respect and efficiency. Yes I would recommend tour services for someone in need of finding someone.

I was able to locate the seller of my family home. County property records had not been updated timely so I chose to look via other methods. When I did a Google search for public records, I chose TruthFinder's to be the most accurate in their findings. This also enabled me to learn more than I had anticipated about the people associated with other family members. I have no plans to use any of that information for anything but found it interesting that you could actually drill down into records of additional people.

I would definitely recommend the TruthFinder Application to anyone who wanted or needed a relevantly concise, well written and easy to understand report on a person they may have questions about. The 1st clerk I dealt with was friendly enough; however, she didn't guide me on how to complete the over to the new credit card number, thus I had to call back to complete it. The second clerk was more helpful.

This "service" is a total waste of time and money. $29.95 down the toilet for exactly the same info I got off of Whitepages. Promises of "full report" including finances, assets, criminal record... and nothing but hard sell garbage about what you can have for "just a little more money". Anyone that posted a positive review about TruthFinder is probably a ficticious character posted by the hustlers that invented this "service". Congrats on a very sly scam.

I spoke with David on 05JAN2022 regarding lack of access to my account. I had been locked out of my email account and could not open any accounts with my old email address. David, after identity verification, was able to help me gain access in five (5) minutes. We changed my email address to the current one and reset my passwords. It was the easiest time I have had changing settings to an account since this nightmare started. He was professional and polite.

I was on vacation in November 2021 in Norman Oklahoma and I had exhausted all my attempts to contact a relative of mine, until I used Truthfinder. The site gave me 3 possible contacts with pictures; I was able to identify my relative by her picture since she had gotten married and her last name had changed unbeknown to me. I would have given Truthfinder 5 stars but the monthly cost is too high. The value is 5 stars.

The website is slow and difficult to navigate. Your site found information, but makes it difficult to determine what exactly is in the report. I was never sure what information I was getting or if I had to pay extra for the details. OK, but not great.

TruthFinder helped me find some information I needed, but there were several inaccuracies that made me question the validity of some of the information found. Easy to navigate and appreciate what I did learn. What I found did help me in directing my next steps.

As I am not a very proficient computer user (age 74) I found it somewhat hard to get started when I went to log in. I had used a computer at work to sign up but then used my laptop at home to review my report. That started my problems to the point that I had to call your service center and have Kyle walk me through the steps to get active. Once in, I found it relatively easy to go through the steps to find the various areas of interest. They were quite thorough and provided the info I was looking for. The experience was wonderful. I’m always afraid of getting scammed and I hate paying for things I’m tricked into paying but they are so CLEAR and very accurate as far as what you will pay depending on the subscription. The information was so helpful for me especially with a small child, there’s many concerns living around my area and now I know who to look out for and that’s beautiful. Unfortunately I did have to terminate my subscription due to someone stealing money from me and it was a cake walk to end it. NortonLifelock reported basic information to me from Truthfinder. Truthfinder lists 4 cities where I have never lived in my life. They include possible relatives. Of about a dozen people, they list my spouse, people we purchased a home from in 1984 (no relation), and other people I have no idea who they are. Unfortunately other sites copy this report and I have problems completing security requests. For example I could be asked which of the following address have you lived, and I won't recognize any of them. Next question, which was your first vehicle, and none on the list would be correct. The result is I don't pass the security's screening. Something needs to be done to make these sites report correct information.

Truthfinder should check on their automatic phone cancellation. I called in October in the evening and received a voice confirmation that I had cancelled my subscription at that time. I did not check further and then I received a bill continuing my subscription. Ken said he would take care of it so I will have to wait and see if $30.29 was refunded from 10/15/2021 and $5.39 was refunded from 10/25/2021.

I do not like to be collected upon, and your customers should not have to divulge all their data to get a report on someone else. Our info is already available in public records. I only needed a single search and appreciated the discounted rate of $7.46+ for a one week trial. BUT was thoroughly disappointed when I was gouged for another $3.99+ for a "downloadable" pdf. It takes ZERO effort or data cost on your part to deliver a pdf file - it is automatically generated. Why stick your customer with a bogus charge? This "bill" also comes due at THE END of the whole process and after I have already joined: if I want the report now, I have to pay more. Not good.
