After 10 years of using PayPal for my business, they decided to DEACTIVATE my PayPal for business account! They couldn't even give me a reason, and I was hung up on twice. Then I was told if I wanted my account issue resolved, I would need to send them a photo of my ID. After 10 years!!! I am disgusted with this company, and want nothing to do with them ever again!!!

I filed a dispute and told them my account was hacked, and someone came in and paid themselves. They told me they take care of me and not leave me hanging, and I get my money back. But I didn't; they sided with the thief. I even sent them a picture of how they got into my account. I found a link they used. In the end, they still closed the case in their favor and then came back and said, I did something wrong and closed my account like I was the criminal. I wasn't buying anything. They made it look like I sent them money and authorized it. But I didn't, that's why I mean they paid themselves. I told PayPal several times that I didn't even know the person I was at work when this happened.

Purchased clothing item from China Rowe and Mercer. $69.99. On arrival not as described and faulty (zipper). Returned item at my shipping expense. Seller reluctant to refund. Filed case with PayPal. OMG then came the convoluted bot communication Pay Pal would not prosecute my case. Their "buyer protection" is really seller protection. After heaps of emails (mainly a bot) and Pay Pal stonewalling I gave up. The dodgy Chinese seller kept my $69.99 and the Returned dodgy goods. Hey avoid Pay Pal completely. PayPal have messed me up. Stole my money twice, logged me out for no reason. I've been using Elizabeth ** for a long time and they just now blocking me, trying to say that I'm not the person. I gave him my social security ** unless social and still they won't let me have my money, now I think this is sad and I'm getting ready to delete this. PayPal is it's no good, it's not going to be stealing my money anymore, so I'll give you one so I'll give you one star.

I reported potential fraud scam of my paypal account to PayPal. What I got in return was not a resolution to the problem. I was blocked/ limited from my account without notification. I complied to resolve problem with providing information they requested. Their answer was to take the funds I had in PayPal and permanently ban me from use of PayPal. Because I reported a compromise of my account. I get banned and funds taken by PayPal themselves. Funds I needed to purchase medicine and other things needed. Upon asking why. The only answer was their decision by other departments was to indefinitely suspend my use of PayPal because I was compromised by unauthorized users.
In other words I get hacked and provide the security measures they asked for to get my account closed, and I get banned. And furthermore they get my funds. This PayPal service company is corrupt thieves. People need to beware and spread the word about their corrupt illegal actions. They protect scammers, fraudsters, and penalize their clients that abide by their own regulations and policies. Just to take your money.

I had a very disappointing experience with PayPal. What should have been a simple and reliable payment platform turned into a frustrating process filled with unnecessary complications. First, their account limitation system is extremely aggressive. My account was suddenly restricted without any clear explanation, and accessing my own funds became a struggle. Even after submitting all the required documents, the review process took far longer than expected, with little to no communication from their support team.
Customer service is another major issue. It’s difficult to get in touch with a real person, and when you do, the responses often feel scripted and unhelpful. Instead of resolving the issue, I was repeatedly asked to wait without any concrete timeline or proper updates. On top of that, their fees are quite high compared to other alternatives, especially for international transactions. When you combine that with the risk of sudden holds or limitations, it makes the platform unreliable for both personal and business use. Overall, I would not recommend PayPal if you value transparency, quick support, and easy access to your funds. There are better options available that offer more control and a smoother experience.

Worst services to get is PayPal. They can charge you whatever money they want, without any prior notice and curtesy call. Customer service is the worst, so rude and talk like they are entitled and own the company. They really don’t care about their customers!!! Stay away from PayPal, there are better services out there, Google pay, Apple Pay.

Terrible customer service and arrogant people on the phone calls. I had two instances of fraudulent activities and they did nothing. I now have a permanently closed account. They need government investigation on their business practices.

The company sent me an order that I hadn't placed, and PayPal paid for it without my authorization. Filed a claim and just got the blow-off from them. All they wanted to do is force me to change my password.

I had a very frustrating experience with PayPal that I feel others should be aware of. I have been using the platform for transactions, expecting reliability, but my recent experience completely changed my perception. A payment I received was suddenly placed on hold without any clear or specific explanation. There was no prior warning, and the notification I received did not clearly state what triggered the hold or what exact steps I needed to take to resolve it. This created immediate inconvenience, especially since the funds were important for my work.
I contacted customer support multiple times through different channels, hoping for clarity. Unfortunately, most of the responses felt automated or scripted. I was repeatedly asked to check the same help articles, which did not address my situation. Even after following all the suggested steps, there was no meaningful progress or timeline provided for releasing the funds.
What made the experience worse was the lack of transparency. It was difficult to understand the review process, and there was no direct way to escalate the issue or speak with someone who could give a clear answer. The communication felt one-sided, and as a user, I felt left in the dark about my own money.The delay impacted my ability to manage my finances properly, and the overall process caused unnecessary stress. For a platform that handles financial transactions, I expected a much higher level of accountability and customer support. Based on this experience, I find the service unreliable and not user-friendly when issues arise. I hope improvements are made in terms of communication, transparency, and faster resolution of such problems.

I have been appointed as Personal Rep on an estate. I have been trying to get access on the deceased person's account. It has been TWO YEARS and PayPal still will not work with me on getting access to the accounts without verifying the deceased person's email and phone number which have both been shut off for almost 2 years. They tell me the only option is to reopen his cell phone account and reopen the email account - and that is not possible! He is deceased!
I am beyond frustrated with this company and now need to secure an attorney to assist me with this, when it can very easily be done over the phone. I have sent PayPal my personal information, SS card and driver's license, and estate documents over 15 times via FedEx, email, certified and snail mail. This company has horrible customer service - I have been on the phone telling the same story for hours and hours, with managers promising to call me back, and they never do. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Go somewhere else. Filed a claim and just Got the blow off from them. All they wanted to do is force me to change my password. They are refusing to look at a transaction I didn't make. They have lost all credibility and respect.

Does anyone else see a problem with the tax PayPal charges on some purchases? A recent example is an item I purchased for $29.99. The confirmation I received from the vendor reflected a total price of $36.58, which included $.60 shipping insurance and $5.99 shipping. The confirmation I received from PayPal included "sales tax" of $10.97, for a total of $47.55. When I addressed this with PayPal, they claim that's the tax charged by the vendor; however, it's NOT on the confirmation I received from the vendor. This isn't a singular instance. When I try to use a different credit card so that I don't have this issue, my purchase won't go through. Something is definitely fishy here.

I have been using PayPal for a few years now because of the buyer protection service, but the first time I had a legitimate scam purchase, PayPal sided with the seller after they provided clearly false shipping information. I doubt that I will ever trust PayPal for protection ever again. At least if I were to use any other credit card I could have filed a chargeback to dispute the scam.

I have had a credit with Paypal for months. Every time I make a purchase I try to use the credit and it reverts back to my bank account. I set up my wallet using the credit as my preferred payment method and it still takes payment out of my bank account. I tried contacting them to no avail.

I purchased 3 pairs of earrings which I never received, and PayPal didn't care at all and gave me the run around. Don't be tricked by their "Purchase Protection" statement because they do NOT refund you if/when seller supposedly shows proof they sent it.

WOW. All I wanted to do was sell a phone on a third party website. Unfortunately, they use PayPal. I sold the phone, no problem. Pay Pal & the website took their cut of the sale. That was not enough. Pay Pal HELD MY FUNDS FOR OVER THREE MONTHS. I didn't get a decent reason why this happened. I called Pay Pal and of course was given the run around, I think their automated system is designed to disregard customers and discourage them from calling again. I advise you: don't buy or sell anything on any website that uses PayPal. WHY DO PEOPLE ACCEPT THIS POOR SERVICE?

PayPal received money on April 11 2026. They tell me waiting on payment to process. I got with person that sent it cleared the bank and PayPal account. Person called PayPal with me. I was listening. The supervisor said it released on April 11 into the account. They aren’t the company they once were. 1 star only. Don’t have a 0 star.

PayPal permanently closed my account based on one single response I made when sending money to a friend and family! Their customer service is somewhere in India, and they barely speak English! They are holding hostage $2,241.02 of my funds for 180 days before they will release them back to me! Use this app at your own risk, or you may be burned by a simple mistake that I did! They are not a trustworthy organization! I found out the hard way! P.s., I’d give PayPal -100 ⭐️s if it were possible. I don’t recommend this app to anyone!

I’m speaking about PayPal. I’ve been with them for a long time. My problem is that it was some fraudulent activity in my car and all of a sudden, they blocked me. I can’t use it anymore, and they didn’t resolve the matter of returning the money, so what can I say? They’re not good at all. I have proof of that.

PayPal is convenient for sending and receiving payments, but my experience hasn’t been great overall. Transactions usually go through, but the fees can be quite high, especially for international payments. I also faced issues with account limitations, and resolving them took longer than expected. Customer support responses felt slow and not very helpful. It works when it works, but the lack of transparency and support makes it frustrating at times.

I made a purchase on eBay. The charge was supposed to go through a "preferred" credit card listed on the account. Paypal sent the charge directly to my checking account; the account I removed from their app before purchase to prevent this from happening. Paypal does this to avoid paying credit card fees. Paypal attemped to use my checking account without authorization.

Everyone this is a bad situation with PayPal. I was scammed on paypal a few days ago. I even had proof that the person on there scammed me out of $200 that was sent from one of my friends and PayPal went along with the scammer. I sent it to the resolution center and I couldn't even believe they cited with the scammer and they are allowing. I even told them that that certain person was working with two other people that's who logged into my account and move the money over to the scammer on PayPal but they won't listen to me. PayPal is a joke. People be careful. I'm closing my account. I'm done with PayPal. I don't trust it. I think they're all scammers. I think they're scammers as much as a real scammers are that are scamming people. I don't trust anybody on there. Customer service is just a joke. They're a freaking joke so I just wanted to leave this review to let people know.
Customer support told me to have my friend resend the $200. They tried to tell me that, "Oh we can't recover the money. Sorry but can she resend it." Well since my account was in negative $200 because of the ** that happened in the first place when she resent it it cleared the negative and we lost the money. How stupid can PayPal be. They're stupid ** idiots and I don't give a ** if they hear this or not or see it or whatever .I have proof that them people on PayPal or scammers they sent me counterfeit checks to my address. I took them to my bank to prove that they're counterfeit. I shoot them to law enforcement. PayPal doesn't want to listen to all that because they're scammers too!!! So they closed my case. Even after I tried to appeal it they closed it and went along with the scammers that's why PayPal is a freaking joke!!!!

I have been using PayPal for over 10 years. All of a sudden fraudulent transactions occurred on my account. I called to report it. A 10 day review was ordered. I called back after the 10 days and the account was frozen. I asked why and there wasn't a logical explanation involved. The five stars you see other people posting since 2025 must've received payment for the review. I personally have been paid $5 a review and the people who pay send the posts details and ratings. Don't use PayPal. Use Chime, Venmo or the others but PayPal is dead.

Most UnProfessional, Useless Company on Earth! I have no trust for and feel insecure depending on. Customer service don't understand the problems, scams going in their backyard. Most of the call centers in other countries, poorly speaking reps.! Non Working Corporate office contact number, nobody care, Nobody gives a crap about people! This is the story with PayPal Scams!!!
