    Like others have reported, I purchased a pair of valances through Overstock. When they arrived, they were four inches longer than touted on Overstock's site, deeming them unacceptable. Upon attempt to return them, I too was told that shipping and return charges would be deducted from my refund. I phoned to inquire, stating this was not appropriate. I did receive a pre-paid shipping label; however, the product has been received by Overstock and, after two days, they still have not refunded my card. When I inquired, I was told that it would take 5-8 days following receipt of the returned merchandise to credit my account. This is certainly a poor business practice to collect before shipment and delay refunds--quick to collect; slow to refund. I likely will not purchase goods through Overstock again.

    I ordered what was clearly described as a king size sheet set offered by this company on the Walmart website. When only the pillowcases arrived, I contacted them and was informed that the description was in error. The ad was only offering the pillowcases for sale "Sorry for the misunderstanding". Over the course of a week, multiple emails, and enlisting Walmart's help they finally agreed to provide me with the entire sheet set as advertised only after I informed them my next step would be to report them to the state department of Consumer Affairs for fraud. Stay far away from this company.

    Purchased two lamps. Used 3 times. One quit working. Tried to exchange for working one and was told that warranty is 45 days. This is ridiculous. A lamp should have at least a one year warranty on it. I will never purchase from Overstock again and I will tell every that I know to never buy from them.

    I ordered a 6'x4' front door mat through this company since it is hard to find even on Amazon. I waited 10 days for it to arrive and I got a 24"x48" mat. I called Overstock and the manly sounding woman said I'll need to take this to UPS and send it back and maybe 4-5 days after they receive it, they'll reimburse my $105 they charged me! Really, you screwed up and now I have to wait another 10 days to get my money back? Never, ever... will buy anything from this losers! Should've checked their reviews before!

    I ordered a Lancaster Beveled Mirror Brown Cherry for a purchase price of $299.97 on May 25, 2016. I was in the middle of a bathroom remodel. I contacted with Overstock through chat sessions (multiple) to make sure that everything was ok. On June 1st they sent me an email that the item I ordered is not in their stock and they are refunding my money. Well between their financial institution and mine it will take at least 2 weeks for refund. My money and time wasted. I have to now find another mirror of the same size from a local store with same size of one I ordered or pry out a bunch of costly tile, redo the entire wall.

    The worst thing is Overstock chat session. They are just telling you some generic words like good, appreciate, we will do everything from our side. While they have no clue what is actually happening or they are outrightly lying. 3 chat session apart nobody had a clue that the item I ordered is not in their stock. The final slap in face was that of $5 store credit for their lying. I feel like being mocked by huge business. If they offered me with a similar mirror with expedited shipping it was a solution.

    I have ordered a mattress on the 23rd. They sent me a email stating it was shipped out on the 24th and said it will be delivered on the 25th so I stayed off work to get it not knowing if it needed a signature. Never showed up. UPS shows they have never received it. Overstock says it was shipped out. I have talked to 3 people and 2 supervisors. No one can tell me where it is at nor will give me a refund. They say they have to find it before I can get my money back so now I have no money or the mattress.

    The supervisor promised me I would know something by last night or today, still nothing. Called again, still can't get a answer. Now I'm told I will have to wait till Tueday before they can find out where my package is at because their warehouse does not work on the weekends? Overall the worst experience I have ever had ordering online. I will stick to Amazon or eBay. They could at least refund some money, after all they have messed up. Pay a little more and save the stress of dealing with Overstock. Not helpful at all, just give you the runaround!!

    On 5/1/2016 I ordered two area rugs. One priced at 801.00. This was to be received on Thursday 5/5/16. On 5/6/16 I received one of the two rugs. My account indicated both were delivered at the same time with the same tracking number. An issue in and of itself. On May 6th my account was charged the entire amount of my order. At that point the large rug had not been delivered or even shipped and one other item was still being processed. On May 7th I called customer service and was told the warehouse was closed on weekends but I would receive a resolution in 2-3 business days. Also crazy. During the conversation on the 7th it was noted that FedEx does not allow two separately packaged items to be shipped with the same tracking number.

    On May 10th I received a call that the item was actually out of stock, "sorry for the inconvenience. We will credit your account for the rug and issue you a store credit for your inconvenience". An acceptable resolution despite the fact that other purchases had been made taking the design of the rug into consideration and now needed to be returned. More time I didn't have. Today, I go to pay my bill and I still have the 801.00 on my card and being charged interest on this item that wasn't even shipped let alone received. The customer service department is closed for the day. My other option is now their chat functionality. Which proved even more frustrating. I was told that their specialized agent would contact me in one to two business days. Well, with the holiday, that puts me at June 1st. I had ordered one other time without incident. They have applied a store credit that I will never use due to their billing practices.

    I just had the worst experience with overstock.com!!! A defective chest of drawers which took 3 hours to put together and was completely defective; they would only refund $40 of a $219 purchase price unless I took it apart and returned it in the original packaging. I took pictures from all angles of the defective chest. I called back and another person was willing to give me $75 credit. NEVER BUY FROM THEM!!!

    I went to purchase a ring they had on sale. I decided to go ahead and get the Overstock.com credit account since they were giving an additional discount. I was approved but not quite a high enough credit limit, so I tried to split the payments. They don't do that, so at the advice of a customer service rep via chat I purchased gift cards with my new credit account (since you can use gift cards AND another credit card on the same order). The gift cards take 1-24 hrs to process (odd, and annoying, but whatever) – it was a sale item so I was worried the sale would end. Thankfully it didn't. After 36 hrs I contacted customer service because I never got my gift cards. First she says gift cards take 72 hrs to process (that is not stated anywhere on their website, clearly states 1-24 hrs). I ask to talk with the "process" dept that handles gift cards and she gives me the number.

    They are close on the weekends, and only process the gift cards manually (so how they advertise 1-24 hrs is beyond me). On Sunday (next day) I get an email stating my gift card orders had been canceled – no reason, just canceled. On Monday I just decide to give up on trying to use the Overstock credit and put it on my normal credit card – order goes through fine. 36 hrs later I get another email stating this order has been canceled because they "lack the necessary information". How would any order go through unless you had the necessary information? Ring size - check, billing info - check, shipping info - check. So I am done with Overstock. I do 95% of my shopping online and they are by far the worst. I will work with small no-name websites before doing business with them again.

    Had to PAY my local PO to FORWARD my package LESS than 1 mile from my old address!!! 15.00$! I placed an order online and in 2 weeks moved to my new house. Today I get my package with a small envelope left inside my door stating that I owe my LOCAL PO 15$. I questioned my mailman. He told me to call my husband. Did and this is what he was told: "My package was sent to my OLD address and then sent to Shrewsbury Mass to be forwarded to my new address and because OS uses the CHEAPEST way to send things I got hit with a few. I think BOTH are greedy pigs!"

    I contacted OS CHAT line and was told basically the same song and got an "OH well sorry." I was never told about this, ever. Then I find out my poor mailman is going to get spoken to because he left the package with me WITHOUT me paying him 1st! Disgusted! Sent a letter off to this company. Sure it will do nothing. But, I will NEVER order from them again. I will stick to AMAZON any day.

    Purchased a little cabinet for 200 dollars, went to pay by credit card, ask if I would like express, which was showing as 30 dollars, then when I press everything to confirm they had charged me 300 dollars... =$511 dollars for my purchase.     Purchased an Abbyson Living-London Premium Top-grain Grain Leather Sofa /Love Set on April 10, 2016. It was delivered on April 28, 2016.     I have ordered 3 items from them and they have all been okay (nothing bad or damaged). 2 hair products (leave in conditioner and shampoo) and 1 bed in a bag (comforter set with everything included). The only thing is, it took them forever to even generate a shipping label so it took forever to get to me anytime that I have purchased anything. Wayfair and Amazon are MUCH faster than Overstock. One of the items took 2 weeks to get to me which was annoying but other than the delivery time I have no complaints at this time.

    The rings are terrible. I have two rings from Overstock and stones fell out of both. Complete junk. They were not cheap either. I loved the style, but the quality was not there.     I ordered self tanner, the same one I always buy from Sephora. When it arrived it came out green. It's always brown. I've been using it for years. Hesitantly I used the product and came out looking like Shrek! I contacted St. Tropez and they asked for the serial number. They verified that the product was produced in 2012. They are telling me to send it back to get a refund. I order products because I want the convenience of products coming right to my house. Do I want to go down to the post office and deal with sending this back? Not hardly. I'm so pissed.     Paid for a lamp ($164) and cancelled the order within an hour, for which I received a confirmation. What I did not notice is that they took the money out of PayPal, and did not refund it. This I noticed 21 days later. When I chatted with a "representative" I was told I would be called within 1-2 days by someone from the pay-support department. That is now 5 days ago.

    This is more than unacceptable. Actually I am not convinced there is not a mechanism in place to steal money. How many of us really check these things carefully, as we should. I know I could be better. But most of us in this fast world, depend on the honesty and reliability of the companies that we deal with. My recommendation: STAY AWAY from OVERSTOCK.

    I have no issues with my online purchases from Overstock. Everything came in a timely manner and I was pleased with my purchases. HOWEVER, DO NOT GET THE CREDIT CARD! They call you repeatedly, first to "remind" you that the bill is due (even though it was already paid), then on the actual due date they will call 2 or 3 times to "remind" you again to pay the bill that was already paid. I would not hesitate to shop with Overstock again, I just won't be using their stupid credit card.

    As a consumer and a frequent internet shopper, like so many millions are, I know it is important to share experiences with fellow shoppers. Unfortunately, I did not discover the overwhelmingly high unsatisfactory ratings of Overstock until after my own personal poor experience. Similar to the 105 complaints identified at **, my experience revealed poor customer service. With every of the several contacts I made with customer service I was provided with 'canned' answers. My initial contact was, unfortunately, to cancel an item which I had selected the wrong size in the simple pull down menu. When I realized my mistake, (within 24 hours) your customer service read back to me that the item could not be cancelled but that I could easily return the item. When I advised your representative that the item was oversized and a truck would be delivering she repeated the canned phrase.

    My attempt to order the correct size and replace the incorrect size was also met with the same response. After my 3rd attempt and contact with a customer service rep whom appeared to be able to understand my situation (and the Massachusetts State Law which I was now forced to quote) I was able to cancel the item. Unfortunately the situation discouraged me from ordering the correct size through Overstock! But... it does get a bit worse. (if you can believe that) My order also included a much smaller version of the same item. One which does not require oversize shipping. The order was placed on April 8. Today, the status of the item is still 'Pending'. Yes, I have called. Yes I was recited, "it could take between 5 and 15 days to be delivered", twice. No I would not recommend Overstock to others.

    My mother recently passed. The insensitivity, rudeness and apathy that I encountered was appalling when dealing with this company. My mother went into the hospital on December 21st 2015. She must have ordered something from Overstock a few days prior to her stroke. They tried to deliver on December 24 and left a notice, in which I then called to cancel the delivery. They said they couldn't help me because they needed to talk to my mother, who couldn't speak because of her stroke. I thought fine, it'll get sent back and refunded. I became my mother's conservator, and in no shape or form did I ever see a refund of $1600 from Overstock.com.

    Once my mother passed, I started handling all of her affairs, calling credit card companies, etc. Everyone was able to speak to me regarding her accounts, no problem. Well, not Overstock. They insisted they could only speak to the person on the account. When they tell this to someone that just lost someone, it's very upsetting on many levels. They refused to talk to me regarding her account, a refund, if and when it was ever issued. I spoke to a supervisor. I was told several times I needed power of attorney. If they actually knew their legalities, POA is null and void when a person is deceased. Then they told me the only other way I can discuss this is by logging into her account and put my name on it. I don't have her login info and she is not here to ask.

    Any other company will accept a death certificate or personal representative papers. They will not budge one bit. So they are refusing to tell me if a credit has been issued and if it was, when and to what account. That's all I need to know. I'm not sure why this is so hard. To me it says they haven't issued a refund, nor do they want to. Very dirty business practices. I would never purchase anything from this company and I'm sorry if anyone experiences a loss and has to deal with their highly incompetent customer service department with an even sadder excuse of supervisors.

    I returned a pr of slip covers to this company in January 2026. In April I received an email from a credit collection agency for my return payment of $11. I paid UPS more than $11 to return this item and now I am being told to pay again to return something I already paid to return!! According to Overstock it was not Overstock who mailed it to me but another company they deal with. This was never told to me that I was not dealing with Overstock to begin with. This was my first and LAST time buying from this company!! What a set of crooks!!!

    Purchased 2 sets king size sheets about 15 months ago for use in our vacation cabin (ie not much use). Queen sheets purchased at same time worked fine. King sheets shrank so badly that the fitted sheet cannot be used... Overstock would not accept return because it was over 1 year. We will have to throw the sheets away.

    Good things: Great looking table. C legs slide under sofa so table actually can be over a part of the sofa. Assembly seems easy - but it's not. Replacement was quick. Bad things: This table has a fundamental design flaw. Assembly may seem to go well but the design is very likely to cause the assembly process to stress the adhesive which holds the glass top to 4 mounting parts. After a few weeks of use the top fell off. Though the replacement was quick, and they didn't want the broken one returned, I was told the replacement was a one time only deal. I can see why. The design is such that assembly, no matter how careful you are, is almost certain to stress or damage the adhesive holding the glass top to the 4 machined mounting standoffs.

    I had paid for Expedited Shipping; as of Thursday (March 31st) and Friday (April 1st), FedEx Tracking showed my order to arrive by 8 pm on Friday, April 1, 2016. I needed the item for Saturday, so I felt great knowing it would arrive in time. It did NOT arrive by Friday at 8 pm. I called Overstock.com about 10:00 or 10:30 that night; "Sylvester", a Rep on their Chat line, informed me that it would be delivered early the next morning (Saturday).

    Saturday morning---no delivery. I called FedEx; they said it would not be delivered until MONDAY. I needed it for Saturday. Who charges over $20+ for Expedited Shipping to arrive in 3 days??? Particularly after it was supposed to arrive on Friday? My husband had to drive to the FedEx Distribution Center--not close to us--to pick up my package, which is time and gas---when I've already paid the Expedited fee.

    Overstock.com will not refund the money I paid for Expedited Shipping, saying they were within the delivery time frame of 1-3 business days. I was told by "Sylvester" what a valued customer I was. He also assured me the item would be delivered early Saturday morning. If they don't do the right thing and refund the Expedited charges, I will never order from them again.

    I had placed an order for a Rio shower spa unit but instead they shipped me a Tropicana shower spa unit. I was charged a $85 for expedited shipping. I called them and told them they sent me the wrong product and I need the Rio Shower spa unit. They told me they will process an overnight order and they sent me the same product again the Tropicana Show Spa. Now I'm in the middle of a project renovating my bathroom and because of their mistakes I'm being charged extra fees because of the delay.

    I called for the 3rd time and this time they tell they made a mistake and the rep that processed the 2nd shipment should have placed a new order because it's a different item #. Now I have to pay for a new item and they will send it overnight, guess they (Overstock) lied again and I received my item 3 days later. I asked for them to send me RMA to send their two wrong products and once they received I told I need my charges for product and shipment to be refunded due to all of the hassle and errors they made but they refused to credit me back the shipment. I will never do business again with this company and I highly recommend people to think twice before they do business with these folks.

    I ordered a mattress & steel boxspring frame set. The mattress came in in the correct size of king, and the steel boxspring frame set came in the incorrect size of full! And it was shipped later than it was promised. After I called them to tell them about this mistake, expecting an IMMEDIATE response, they told me it would take 1-2 business days just to find out if they even had the correct part in!!! And then it would be another 5-7 business days to get it shipped. This is insane - my mattress is on the floor because of their mistake! And I expected the correct one to be overnighted to me.     I placed an order for a mattress just yesterday accidentally selecting the "standard" instead of the "low profile" set. I tried to change or cancel the order literally few hours later and have been constantly told that the order is already processed and can't be changed. Even though the change is so little and I still intended to get the mattress from Overstock. I sent several emails, contact support and am getting NO help whatsoever. On the Overstock website it's stated that the mattress ships in 1 to 4 week, yet they are unable to make a Tiny change hours after an order is placed! I have been told that my request is being sent to the "Specialized Representative in the warehouse to stop the shipment of the items" and yet only an hour afterwards I received a call from a shipping company about scheduling delivery of my order within the next 5 days.

    It is very clear to me that Overstock.com only cares about getting their hands on the customers money and do NOT wish to be bothered with providing any kind of customer service. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE - especially since it is not a small item that can be easily returned! You would think that Overstock would make sure that the order is 100% satisfactory before putting their customers through a hassle of returning the order! I will NEVER place any other orders with Overstock again! I ordered items in the past and liked them - but apparently the previous "great experience" was very short lived! I want my money back and Overstock can keep the entire order as of now!

    Waste your time buying off Overstock, by all means go and frustrate yourself with the online inconvenience that is Overstock. Failure to communicate honestly, clearly and timeously. The manner in which a sale is presented is not altogether honest, If I had been quoted an ETA to begin with, I would have declined to use this slow service. If they have legally presented themselves honestly, it would have to be obscure fine print because I didn't see any indication that I was choosing a more expensive delivery that pertains to local shipping (and I haven't been refunded for a useless option???) Fair warning up-front, not an ETA after I have paid and the goods are dispatched. When I complained to overstock that 18 days is ridiculous for an online purchase, this is 2016, I run an online business and even with African time, I still beat the likes of Overstock and they are based in the USA.

    AVOID OVERSTOCK. - Patrick M Byrne = Major Fail, talks the talk and runs with the money or bitcoin! They should be called OVER-PRICED. And they couldn't care less about your concerns. Charge top-dollar for a product, pay extra for a faster service and have to wait 18 days! My parcel has spent a week in the USA already, it should be in Africa already!! And when I said that I had been tricked into a terrible service, they said they have done all they can and that's the end of the matter. Well, I will NOT be using OverStock.com. No ways, they overcharge and they take forever to arrive. Terrible service 1/10, they got one because they took my money real fast.

    Ordered 2 accent chairs, color Balance Seashell description stated grey. When I received them they were tan. Not any hint of grey. Called to return, told I had to pay for return and take them to a UPS store to return. If I wanted to have them picked up that would cost more. Will never order from Overstock again or recommend to anyone. First and last time I order from Overstock. Very disappointing experience. I have submitted a photo of the bottom of the chair still in box in front of grey wall.

    Overstock.com return policy is misleading at best. They tell you that returns are allowed after 30 days. What they don't tell you is that you don't know what the amount will be until they receive the merchandise back. They can refund you ANY amount they want. Minus all shipping charges. Really? Why not say NO returns after 30 days. Would be less deceptive. Will NEVER order from them again.

    I placed and order for an iPhone. My account was charged for the full amount before the order status was complete or shipped. My order was somehow cancelled. After talking to 4 different people, I was told they would issue a refund which would take 3-5 business days (funny it didn't take that long to charge my account) and that I would have to reorder the item. I asked why it had gotten cancelled and no person could answer that. I will absolutely never order anything from them again. My advice is stay away from Overstock.com.

    They sell super cheaply made, designed, and everything about it is CHINESE JUNK!!! Their return policy is total BS because the only way you find out what kind of junk they sent was to open it. Then because you opened it they won't take it back. Never order anything from them unless it really is an overstock item. You know perfectly what it is with all the actual factory part numbers.

    Overstock.com is the worst website I have ever used. Rude customer service and ignorant employees that can't understand basic concepts. Website error, stops working in the middle of a placement so I start over since I never got to put in a payment. Well apparently it went through for me to pay later. So I get emails for a duplicate order. One I payed for, the other I didn't. I contact Overstock with both order numbers and inform them of the issue. They said no problem, send them back free of charge, don't open the duplicate products.

    Wait about 2 weeks for the shipments (long time). I contact overstock and ask how I'm supposed to ship it back for free, they say "here are some shipping labels now you can return the items". I have to go to my parents' house to use their printer as I don't have one to print the labels. Then I drive to the shipping center to ship the product. Then a few weeks go by and my money was all refunded. Well that's weird... I didn't realize this was going to happen. Then I get e-mails and letters saying that I owe them money and to top it off I have a late fee.

    I contact Overstock and the man tells me not to worry. I don't owe any money and to call the company Klarna and tell them to see Overstocks notes and that I don't owe any money to them. After this phone call I just got bullied back and forth from the 2 companies saying it was my fault that I placed 2 different orders and that I do owe the money or I need to return my original items... This went on for a good 40 minutes of them trying to get the story straight. Their company isn't able to return the item that wasn't paid for instead making me pay and then return my money and tell me that I don't owe anything and then tell me I do owe it and a late fee all within 10 minutes. And neither company is trying to solve the solution, instead talking to each other about where I went wrong! What???

    Then all of a sudden they say there was never a late fee. Then they say there was a late fee and it was taken off... get your story right! How can a big company like this be so unorganized. Then I'm ready to give them my money AGAIN and the website won't take my card! Now I'm forced to use my husband's debit card to pay for a present that I bought him. Fantastic. Worst Internet shopping experience ever.

    I have had pretty good experiences in shopping online. The only ones I have had problems with were Amazon and StubHub, not giving refund of money without me having to go to my credit card company for assistance. In the end I win my money back, but what a mess. I would most definitely stay away from StubHub at all expense and Amazon is not always the best, but at least you have a 50-50 chance with them (Amazon) of getting a refund, but will be up a creek with StubHub -- lost over $1000.00 for two tickets when I used them and the show was cancelled (no fault of mine and they got THEIR money back). So yeah, most are good but StubHub is criminally bad!!

    I ordered a majority of Christmas gifts through Overstock and my overall experience was unsatisfied with the customer service whom I contacted via email when a purchase went missing but said through tracking it was delivered. It takes 4 days or more for the customer service to begin investigation. I would have liked for one representative to complete issue but received correspondence with 3. Package was delivered to my neighbor, fine solved by me. Another item was a pair of boots that went completely missing and I had to reorder elsewhere because too much time. Overall 3 weeks and no boots. But didn't refund full purchase price of $23.00, only $19.00 and still no response 1 month later. After conversation with friends come to find all bad experiences with Overstock. I won't use them again and wish I knew sooner. I did have excellent service all around with Target as well as Walmart.

    I purchased a mattress frame and somehow during check out the purchase was turned over to Klarna. I was never prompted for an acceptance of this process. I had entered my credit number to Overstock.com and assumed I was done. So I got late billing from Klarna and I made calls repeatedly to Overstock and Klarna because with the app, I could not pay online. Their app (Klarna) has been broken for 2 months now and after complaining to both parties for 4 weeks they suspended my account so as not to accrue more late fees until they get their app fixed. HOW RIDICULOUS! I will not purchase from Overstock again because of the lack of help in this matter. I bought from Overstock not Klarna and now have put up with this nonsense.

    I ordered a Calvin Klein watch on June 16, 2015 for my stepfather, it was a Father's Day gift. I called Overstock and a pleasant young lady helped me with the order. Watch was delivered before Father's Day and my stepdad was happy with his gift. However, checking my credit card account a few days later I noticed that my account had a charge of $1,400.00. I immediately contacted my credit card company to investigate the transaction. My card had to be cancelled, my credit score took a dive. All because that Overstock nice girl stole my credit card information and made a hefty donation to a church in Florida.     We ordered leather living room sets from Overstock.com. After four deliveries, Overstock still couldn't deliver two complete non-wobbly, scratch free, tear free, and or stain free Abbyson Living Leather sets. On the last delivery, the delivery man demanded either we take all the furniture or none. Since 2 of the five pieces were fine, we were going to accept them. Well, we sent them back. Here's how this works: you make the appointment with the local delivery company - they want you to give them three-hour window, but they only give you one hour or less once they arrive. The moment you see a damaged item, you call Overstock, explain the situation, they'll transfer you/put you on hold and generally takes about 10 minutes before someone from furniture can assist. By that time, the delivery folks gets antsy and would like to leave.

    On the last delivery, we wanted to accept two pieces. Overstock on the phone spoke to the delivery folks but could not convince them to leave the two pieces. Overstock had to call their boss, and their boss needed to tell them to leave the pieces. It would be amusing if it wasn't our furniture. So, after all the promises from Overstock, nothing was resolved. And after four deliveries of bad furniture, we told Overstock to take it all back. They refunded all BUT the bonus Overstock points. In our case it was 10% or nearly $600. Gulp. Ok, they had us and saw us coming. We could have returned the non-essential stuff we received using the bonus points. If we knew we were returning the bad furniture. Oh and btw, returns only within 30 days. Oh btw, we would have to pay shipping...

    So what did we learn? Never buy large items like furniture (real leather, not any of the faux, dura, bonded) from OS. Never accept delivery of any items not perfect. YES, they can and will do partial deliveries. Clearly mark items on BOL. Never use the bonus points because you may not keep the furniture due to finally giving up on receiving bad furniture. I suppose we could have continued receiving... In afterthought, what we should have done. Force Overstock to eat the $600, not us. Never return items until all details are covered with the supervisor, NOT the representatives. Maintain good detail records and who you spoke with. Have I mentioned not to buy large items that may require special circumstances?

    So at first, this felt like a "bait and switch..." But that's not really true in this case. One could argue we were "baited" to spend $600 at Overstock on things we were not looking/needing. Either at Overstock or anywhere else but if we did, we wouldn't have paid higher Overstock prices on many of the stuff. It does feel like one of those car ads and when you go, they "surprise" they don't have/they sold that model. But in our case it was a long four month of more like "hooked, line, and sinker..." We lost time from work and on phone calls and delivery days. We lost $600 and have stuff for next year's garage sale...

    Went to clearance section on Overstock.com and they claimed save up to 50% off. I went to various different categories and searched multiple items they had, and found them so much cheaper on Amazon, Wal-mart, Wayfair... I recommend you look around before buying anything in Overstock because I did not find something on Overstock that I couldn't find cheaper somewhere else.

    I am writing this review because I am absolutely appalled at how Overstock.com handled the issue with the missing parts to the bed that I ordered from their website. I ordered the Carlotta White Modern Bed with Upholstered Headboard from them and my bed (well part of anyway) arrived after a week of ordering. I was excited to finally receive my new bed as I had just moved and was sleeping on a mattress on the floor. My excitement soon ended once I saw that only 2 out of the 3 boxes had been delivered. I waited a few more days in case the third box showed up, however it did not. I called Overstock.com and spoke to a customer service representative who told me their system showed that all 3 boxes had been delivered. What he failed to tell me is that the third box got delivered somewhere in Kentucky. I live in California. Confused as how this happened?

    He entered in my complaint and told me I would soon be receiving the missing parts. That same day I also received an email from another customer service person who assured me I would be receiving the missing parts to my bed within 5-10 business days. 5-10 business days? For their mistake? Not cool and definitely not handled appropriately. If I had ordered from one of their competitors (which I usually do) they would have either overnights me the missing parts or at most I would've had to wait 2-3 business days. After waiting for over 10 business days (I even factored in an extra 7 business days because of the holidays) I still was waiting to receive the missing parts to my bed. I then wrote an email to Overstock.com about how upset I was and that they needed to resolve the issue immediately. I received an email shortly after notifying me that someone would be in contact with me within 24 hours.

    After 72 hours no one had contacted me! That is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable! Horrible business on their part. I was made to contact Overstock.com again for their mistake yet again! After several calls and conversations with different people they finally came to the resolution of sending me a new bed as long as I shipped them back the parts I didn't need/the parts from the original bed I ordered. I appreciate them sending me a new bed since they are unable to ship me the missing parts due to no stock in the warehouse, but it's been over a month since I originally ordered the bed. Shouldn't Overstock.com have offered me some sort of compensation either a refund or a credit for future use??? This was my first time ordering from this company and I am absolutely appalled and disgusted at how they handled this situation.

    Not to mention upset that they messed up twice and I had to notify them about their screw up when they should of been the ones to notify me. I am also upset that they told me someone would contact me within 24 hours and over 72 hours no one had, I had to contact them again. So ridiculous! Because of this experience and the way Overstock.com handled it I will NEVER EVER EVER order from them again! Worst experience ordering from an online company in my life! Horrible horrible customer service! Just absolutely in shock and appalled at them!

    From the start it has been a nightmare. Long story short, for Christmas I ordered 2 nomad chair beds. I received them and realized that they were such poor quality and it doesn't stay as a chair. I returned these chairs. They received them Dec. 21. I still haven't received my credit.     I placed an order with Overstock.com on 12/17 and was expecting my package within 3-6 days. I got no order confirmation with tracking for days so I kept checking and finally got an email with confirm and the UPS tracking number and it said that it shipped on 12/23, 6 days after I placed the order! When I checked it everyday it would update and say 5 days, 3 days, 5 days, the package stalled at Shreveport for several days and then said rerouted! The next time I checked it, it said delivers to post office. I called UPS and they said the sender required them to send it that way. I finally got the package on New Year's Day! Finally, after 2 weeks, the package was delivered.

    But much to my dismay, they had sent the wrong thing! I was furious! I called them and they said they'd ship the correct item but the system wouldn't allow them to ship it overnight or even 2 day! I wasn't given the overnight or two day shipping option when I placed the order or I would've chosen that to begin with. But they seemed to not care that I was upset and didn't do much to make it right. They did offer me a $30 credit to my account to use on future order. But since I had just told the man I would never order there again, I don't think I'll be using it. When the order wasn't here by Christmas, I placed another order through Amazon and had the product here by 12/28. I'll be using only Amazon from now on. This was my first and last purchase with Overstock.com.

    After researching and reading reviews regarding a mattress purchase I bought a memory foam mattress from Overstock in August, 2015. I had previously purchased one earlier in the year and that product is fine. The reviews I read on the particular mattress I purchased were excellent so I had no qualms about the transaction. In December, only 4 months into the $450.00 mattress it went soft. So soft that it caused us to develop neck, shoulder and back pains not to mention the lack of sleep. Even turning it did not resolve the issue.

    I contacted Overstock first through it's online customer service which was basically no help as they passed my concern to another department. After a ten minute conversation with them they said there was nothing they could do about the defective product they sent to me. The product obviously is defective since it only lasted about 4 months. I have purchased mattresses at this price point that have lasted for years so, it obviously was defective.

    When I requested that Overstock help me out by either refunding my money or assist with discounting a different mattress to replace the defective one that they sent they flat out refused stating that they could not return the item. I never asked them to return it. Now not only am I out of the $450.00 for a mattress I cannot sleep on I now have the added medical cost related to the neck, shoulder and back issues caused by this mattress.

    Lesson learned. I advise everyone. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM OVERSTOCK as you will be STUCK because they don't stand behind the products that they sell nor do they try to resolve the issue with customers. Even regular ones as I have been but, I will never purchase another item from Overstock again and you shouldn't either.

When the package didn't arrive by Christmas Eve, I called and was told the shipping company had a 3 day order fulfillment policy and I would have the order by the 29th. It was a Christmas gift but I also needed a birthday gift so I accepted the delay, with a refund of the express shipping. I called to check on the 28th and was told it was en route by no later than the 30th. I received an email on the 30th. They never had the item. It was never shipped and the employees lied about all the shipping information. No gift for Christmas or the birthday! I did receive a refund, but with all the lies I'm stuck trying to find a replacement at the last minute. I will never order from them again!

    I received a couch that I was told would be put together for me. It was dumped in my basement in 3 large boxes. I had to hire someone to put it together for me, as I am recovering from a neck injury, which is the reason I ordered furniture online in the first place! Upon opening the first box, we discovered the couch is the wrong color. I called, and asked them to exchange... no response. I chatted, no response. I emailed, no response.     My husband and I started Xmas early, opened a store account with overstock end of OCT. First order sent no problem. Second was sent to their BOGUS "risk dept" who does NOT even control the bank who we finance from. They demanded identities to be faxed to them. We complied, answered security questions. Long story straight, they refused to sell purchases to us, using any account, personal debit, master card or their store credit card. We sent them EVERYTHING verifying who we were. They were disrespectful, wouldn't give us reasoning why. We demanded a written letter explaining why they only wanted a cash wire! Who does Cash wires in 2015?

    Again they would not accept any other payment and we had opened a $5500 store credit with them unable to use! I denied the first order and now they left me with a $26 shipping return charge, with the store account they wouldn't let me pay with! I am disgusted, feel discriminated. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. In the process of retaining counsel to remove any points off my credit score which their store card caused. SINCE their loss prevention dept blocked us! Yet they aren't even the financier! Words of wisdom, do not send them any info! Send the financier and if they demand cash wire, call BBB!!!     I had a terrible experience. I received a $100 gift card for Overstock.com and thought I would use it for my Christmas shopping. As I was checking out, it gave me no payment options at all. They sent the products and said they would send an email in instructions on how to pay. Once I received the email, I tried to pay using my gift card (again) and I was still unable to complete my transaction. I called the company to give them my gift card info and they WOULDN'T TAKE IT! They said since I checked out as a guest, they wouldn't accept my gift card!!!     I placed my order on Overstock.com after checking to make sure I would get my luggage before the 19th, before I left. It gave me the date of the 16th to arrive. 12/09 I see my order on Overstock.com says it has shipped and delivery date is 12/16. I click on the tracking number and UPS says "label created" not that it has shipped. I call and yes it is shipped and yes I will get it by 16th. I keep checking the 10th, 11th and still the 16th delivery but UPS is still says "label created". Called Overstock last night on the 12th and was told to call UPS because they were right. UPS says nope, they don't have it and to call Overstock back.

    So I log on today and see that UPS just received it today and I won't get it until 12/21/2015 and of course Overstock has now changed their web order page to reflect this date and not the 16th. I called them and UPS is closed so now I have to call tomorrow to talk to another rep that is supposed to call UPS and speed up the shipping. I will write back to review if I got the luggage before my trip but the fact that I have called them several times and been on chat as well and they try to sneak it off on a SUNDAY with a delivery time AFTER my trip has made me angry. Before I ordered I checked to make sure I would get it on time.

    It is like they say whatever time frame you want and then once they have your money, they ship it out whenever. I have read many shipping issues here before this complaint. I wish I had read them before I ordered. Amazon was $27 more so I thought I was getting a deal. I have ordered 3 things from Overstock and this will be my last.

    I am writing this review out of extreme frustration with Overstock.com's Protection Plan Warranty. In 2014 I purchased a vacuum from them with a 2-year warranty to ensure if anything went wrong, it would be covered. About a month and a half ago, the vacuum completely stopped taking a charge or working, so I called in to start a claim. They seemed to have a decent system set up for it, emailing me pretty quickly with a UPS Label to send it back, stating it would only take 5-10 business days to fix and return the vacuum to me. To me, this seemed reasonable so I sent it out as planned.

    Here we are 1 month later and I am FINALLY getting my vacuum back. They have stated it's repaired and tested, and in good working order. Although my personal circumstance shouldn't matter, let me tell you I am 9 months pregnant, and live in a 2,000 square foot home, so this vacuum is a joy to me! The day it came I was so excited I set it up to charge right away. Of course, nothing happened. I tried different outlets and read through their "report" that stated it had been properly tested and was in working order. It also stated in the paperwork to let it charge for 24 hours before use, so even though the light wasn't coming on, I did as instructed. NOTHING. No charge and it won't turn on (obviously).

    So I called in to tell them it appeared nothing had been done on this. They said I'd have to start all over again and send this in for repairs, which would take the same time frame, about 30 days. This is 60 days with no vacuum! I asked that since this was the SECOND time I had to send this in and it was supposed to be fixed, if they could rush it. NO, no they couldn't and the customer service rep made no attempts to even be helpful or friendly, stating there was nothing that could be done by any manager or anyone, so I was wasting my time. All I wanted was what I paid for, a working vacuum! I am extremely frustrated with their lack of customer service or even attempts to help.

    I ordered a Pragma Quad-Fold Queen Frame with Memory Foam Mattress. Their website page shows a picture of a queen sized bed with 2 mattresses that go together. Q and A under the product description indicates that it comes with TWO (2) mattresses that fit together to form a queen sized mattress. There are also 2 separate frames that connect together to form a queen size bed frame. Each bed frame folds in half, giving you a quad (meaning 4) fold bed frame. So, in essence, you're buying 2 cots with frames that link together to form a queen sized. I was sent a single queen sized mattress that cannot in any way be stored when not in use due to the size. I should have cancelled the order at that point.

    I have been given a run-around for over 8 days now. I received a transcript of my dealings with customer service reps along with the emails that were sent me. Apparently, no one documented the issue properly and no one knew how to properly set up the shipment of just the correct mattress. For the past 8 days, I have been promised call backs or emails with an update of this shipment. No one calls back, except for the voicemail I received telling me that the mattress only comes in one piece. They don't know their product line, don't know procedures for exchanges, and certainly don't understand that follow through is just as important as being courteous for good customer service. Here's my saga so far:

    First they told me this came with a single queen sized mattress. Then they told me it was supposed to come with 2 separate mattresses. Then they told me to put the mattress back in the box and they would pick it up and send the correct one. Since this mattress was memory foam, it compressed by machine before it was boxed. There was no way I could repack it in the existing materials. So I called back and they told me to buy a mattress box and they would reimburse me for the cost. Then they told me the manufacturer said to throw away the mattress as they couldn't take it back. OKAY?

    Next up, they sent me the supposedly correct mattress. I received the same mattress. So I called again. While I was on hold, they called the warehouse to make sure they had the correct mattress in stock. They told me they would call me back the next day when the second replacement was shipped because they would have the warehouse people read the label to them before it was shipped. They gave me an RMA and told me they would pick up the mattress.

    No call back the next day! Instead I received a second bed frame. So I called them back again. They said the second replacement mattress hadn't gone out yet and they gave me an RMA for the second bed frame. Now they told me that the warehouse would call me before shipping the next day. No call back the next day again. So I called and was given a new order number for the second replacement mattress. The day after that, they picked up the mattress and frame. When I checked my order status, the order had been cancelled. I called them AGAIN. I was told that their policy is not to ship out a replacement until the returned merchandise was received. I had received an email confirmation from UPS that they had picked up both items. So a manager overrode the hold and said the replacement would be sent.

    The next day, the order was still listed as cancelled. So I called AGAIN. I was told that they only received the mattress and not the frame, so they could not send out the replacement mattress. I checked UPS for the 2 tracking number and found that someone at Overstock has signed for BOTH tracking numbers. So I asked to speak to another manager. The new manager told me the bed only came with a single queen sized mattress. We had to go through that whole discussion again about 2 mattresses and he called the manufacturer to double check that I was correct. He was to call me back today when the manufacturer packed up the new mattress. He also gave me an "incident number".

    NO CALL BACK TODAY. I called back and asked for that manager. I was told that he worked the late shift and had a notation on his calendar to call me at 4:30 PM. There was also a notation that the warehouse had only 1 split queen mattress left. Also, they found that their order department had associated a full queen, rather than a split queen, with the bed set. That's why the warehouse was sending the wrong thing.

    NO CALL BACK at 4:30. So I called at 6 PM and was told the manager was gone for the day since he worked the day shift. I told them I wanted to cancel the order. They told me they had a FEDEX tracking number for the mattress as it was ready for pick up, meaning it was too late to cancel. Also, I would not see an order number for this on my account because this was considered a PARTS REPLACEMENT. Customer Service initially had set up a replacement for the whole order when they should have put it under "parts replacement" for just the mattress.

    I don't expect this will be resolved properly. This supposedly is the last split queen mattress in stock and I have no idea of its condition, even if I do receive the correct mattress. I stopped using Overstock.com over 2 years ago when I had the same problem with a pad for a rug (wrong pad, replacement too small, then too wide, then wrong description/pictures for product). I only tried them again because some friends said their ordering experiences had improved lately. FEDEX tracking says the order has been picked up. I don't know when it will arrive, but I expect I will be returning both the frame and any replacement mattress soon.

There was no alert there was nothing to show me that someone else was about to purchase what my intent on purchasing for my daughter's special gift this holiday season. Horrible!! They should have more respect for their clients and at the very least have a pop up that shows that the item is only one purchase left, or a pop up saying are you still wanting to purchase this item and give a countdown so that people have a chance to shop for additional items.     I purchased a few items on Overstock.com using store credit and the transaction went fine. A week or so later, I tried to purchase a small rug and the order was declined. Apparently, Overstock believes I am a cyber hacker. Or terrorist. Or a voter not in favor of gold hoarding republicans. Overstock refused my order on credit and an order with a bank debit card. Maybe I should have offered to pay in gold? My last (of three) conversation with Overstock's fraud department ended with a request for a copy of my driver's license after I passed all of their security protocols. That was the final straw. Overstock does not want my business and has insulted me as a consumer. They don't get my business and Jonathan Johnson does not get my vote.

    Ordered a $1k watch online from Overstock. They called to verify the order which was appreciated. On the same call they verified the watch was in stock and would ship the following day. Two days later I got a confirmation that it had shipped including a UPS tracking number. Ten days later, no watch. Further the tracking number continues to indicate a label has been created but no further details. 67 minutes and 4 transfers later. No watch and no ownership from the Customer Service Representatives (CSR's). They CSR's have no ability to confirm the status of the order and the systems do not allow them to check or confirm anything at the warehouse.

    I am now advised even if I want a refund I have to wait until the internal investigation between Overstock and the shipper is completed 10 - 14 working days. It is not the point of the money, it is the lack of a coherent operational strategy to get products from the order page to the. I could attempt to make some meaning of this, if it had happened after Black Friday, in point of fact it was before the busy season. I will use them again (once), but only as a case study of how not to run a business!!!

    Our experience with Overstock has been done before it's even began. Every time my husband and I have tried to place an order from the saved cart or just to place an order period we've had a problem. In the beginning after placing an order you could continue to a place were you are able to put the payment information in and the overstock credit card (sent by them mind you) didn't go through, so we called them and supposedly they said we were good to go. We tried to place our order 1 2 3 more times and it still wouldn't accept its own credit card, now how crazy is that! Now we decided to give them one more try and we tried to place an order from our cart. When you click on checkout, it takes you to continue shopping when you just want to check out!!! We're done!

    I have ordered many items from Overstock over the years and have always been satisfied with both the product and service until now. I ordered a pop-up drain that I need to install a vessel sink I purchased. I asked when I placed the order how it would be shipped as I needed it shipped to the address where it was being installed as opposed to my mailing address. I was told it would be shipped out either FedEx or UPS which all of the other things I had previously purchased were shipped out UPS and left by the front door. Instead of shipping it out to my home UPS, it was transferred to the United States Post Office for delivery.

    Problem is that all of my mail is being forwarded to another home; not the home that needs the pop-up drain. When I contacted Customer Service (a real misnomer) to ask what could be done given I had been very clear when I ordered that I need it shipped out UPS or FedEx, I was told by both the person who answered the phone as well as her supervisor, Candace, that there was nothing they could do; that the method of delivery was not guaranteed and too bad that I was given inaccurate information. In other words, they could have cared less. This is not the customer service I expect from Overstock, especially after having spent in excess of $1000 in the last two months. Think twice about ordering from this company.

    I ordered a Christmas tree on November 3, 2015. It is now November 18, 2015 and still no tree. I chatted online two times with customer service reps and was told they have to trace the mystery tree FIRST which takes 1-4 business days. I asked why it takes them up to FOUR days to simply call their carrier, and just got a repeated message of "It will take 1-4 business days...."     I ordered from their electronics department and was initially told that I would receive the item within 3-5 business days. I was surprised then, when a week later the order had yet to ship and was still being "processed". I contacted customer service and they told me that contrary to what their website told that electronics can take in excess of 2 weeks to process and ship. While this was unfortunate I resolved to wait. However two weeks later and the order was still "processing", so again I call customer service who informed me that no the first shipping time was indeed correct and that there must be some problem so they forward my problem to another department.

    The next day I am told that due to an "extremely rare" problem they didn't process my order and the item is now out of stock. They then tell me to wait 2-3 days for my refund. So to summarize in excess of 2 weeks waiting for an item to ship, a day for them to realize theire= mistake, and another 2 days to receive the refund. All in all, I spent around 3 weeks not buying something from this thoroughly terrible company.

    In the description, these speakers were advertised to be "Bluetooth compatible, wireless speakers", when in actuality their outdoor speakers you have to hook up (not wireless nor Bluetooth compatible). Aside from false advertisement, I've had the worse experience trying to return them. Firstly, I had to follow up with Overstock multiple times just to get my return label. Then, once I finally returned the speakers and received my refund, they shorted me $35.81... Like I just wouldn't notice! Since it took forever to get an email response, I called in about the refund error, only to be put on hold for 15 minutes.     I have ordered numerous items from overstock.com and pay for the expedited shipping to receive my items faster and they never arrive by the date they are supposed to. I always have to contact support and get the shipping refunded today. I was supposed to receive a item that was a birthday gift and I absolutely needed by today 11/11 and contacted them twice to make sure it would be arriving by today and was told yes it will arrive by 11/11 and sure as you know what today came and went and no item. So when I contacted them to cancel my order as I went a different route to get the item was informed that their shipping arrival date only means the date they ship it out by, unlike Amazon or Ebay where the date on there is when you receive your item. With overstock that's only when they ship it out by so pay $25 for expedited shipping and it still takes them 4-5 days just to even mail it out! So back to Amazon I go.

However, I had to chase them up (help centre) and when I did, they fed me so much ** about not being able to cancel my order and that some other *representative* would contact me in 2 days time!!!     I really don't believe what this company has become. I have seen the news broadcasts talking about how they say how much you save only to find out the process they compare to are prices THEY HAVE MADE UP!! That's not my complaint, if we are shopping online we should know several prices so even though they are misleading customers they are still just selling product. I have even spoke with the same CSR that others have named so I kinda wonder how big this company really is? The service was horrible and I was flat lied to.. I ordered two nightstands that are same price as Wal-Mart. I received ONE OF them with the label from overstock that said package number 2 of TWO, so I know they had both tables!! After 4 days of not receiving table 1 of 2, we emailed to be told it would be four days more till we got second one.

    Without going into all the nonsense.. We didn't get table 1. I finally called, they told me it was out of stock (of course), when I got home that evening I looked it up.. WAS NOT OUT OF STOCK!! Price had gone up though!! Hmmmm, never out of stock.. Lied to me.. Price went up.. Never checked on shipment.. I'm absolutely done with these cheats. Btw, I do still have all the emails, screenshots, and invoices for whatever good that does. I just want everyone to know that hundreds of the same reviews AREN'T WRONG.     I ordered 2 duvet covers from them & waited for them to arrive. After checking on the email that they sent with my order, they gave a tracking # and a delivery date. Delivery date came, no delivery. Have been checking the tracking # with UPS. Nothing. Says only that is was ready for UPS pickup but not scanning from UPS. So I figure it is sitting in warehouse. Called CS & asked if they could check to see why it hasn't shipped. Was told, "oh yes it shipped & you will get it by tomorrow."     Customer Service is horrible!!!! I tried the online chat and the customer service agent ended the chat without me finishing the conversation. I called customer service shortly afterwards and explained the problem and while I was talking to the customer service agent I was also tracking the shipments. The customer service agent and I went through my entire order to see what I received and what I hadn't received. Turns out one shipment was delivered to the wrong address which happened to be my son's birthday and part of his Christmas gift. Two Shipments were being returned to sender but before the customer service agent said anything she told me to call the local post office.

    What are they going to do? The packages were sent via UPS!!! And yes I did call the local post office and the packages were not there. Overstock did say they would try to locate the items that were delivered to the wrong address and send the other items back that were being returned to sender. I will think twice about shopping with Overstock.com again because they obviously don't have the logistics or customer service portion working together. I may have bought a house recently but I did go to www.unitedpostalservice.com and updated all my information to have my mail forwarded to my new address which included UPS deliveries. Besides the package that was delivered to the wrong address wasn't one I recognized. Sure am glad someone is enjoying my sons gifts which I paid for. If I don't receive the rest of my order here shortly I will call Overstock.com and have them refund my money for the portion of my order I have not received.

    I ordered a breakfast nook from "Overstock" for about $1200.00. Reddaway Freight, hired by "Overstock" missed my appointment for delivery. Had to wait 2 days 4 hours each for delivery. When Reddaway showed up they were missing the table that comes with the set. When I opened the 3 other boxes there was damage in 2 of the 3 boxes. I called overstock and they said they would handle this for us and opened a claim. This was all Wednesday around noon.

    On Friday I called Overstock Customer Service to see if anything was happening with our claim. Customer Service at Overstock informed me that I would have to wait until Monday to find out anything. They promised to replace damaged items but are slow to get the job done. I am suppose to wait 5 to 7 days for Overstock to get the items in the mail or on a freight truck?? That's what they call Customer Service? Wow, I'm in the process of returning all items for a full refund. Don't buy from this company they have a lot to learn about Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction.

    Here are the reasons for my return: Missing Item (Table), Damage to shipment in two of the three boxes received, Poor Customer Service, Reddaway Freight Company missed my appointment causing me to wait 2 days for one shipment for a total of 7 hours. The driver Todd stated he had to deliver windows to a company in McMinnville, Oregon on Tuesday because the window company pay for Guaranteed Deliveries and that's why he missed me on Tuesday and left me sitting at home for 4 hours for nothing! Someone could have called and told me that, so I did not wait for nothing and then cause me to wait a second day 3 hours longer. What a joke!

    I ordered a large, heavy file cabinet from Overstock. The cabinet I received was smashed. It took a good bit of work to get them to try to get them to pick it up which never happened. They had me wait at my house for 1/2 day for a phantom company that never came to pick up the cabinet. Then they (manager Kandi, I also talked to manager Chase) suggested that I invite some friends over to carry it down my stairs or that I get a dolly and drag the very heavy cabinet down my stairs myself. I explained that I'm a senior and the cabinet was very heavy but they didn't care. I called at least 8 times and they made excuses, dragged their feet and worse, told me they were "helping" me by describing ways I could develop a hernia and handle their problem for them. After 6 weeks, I was finally able to take care of their problem myself. Horrible customer service. I've read similar situations online. Avoid Overstock.

    Had 2 orders with Overstock. First order was delayed and my second order has not been shipped yet. Called the agent and they said "After further review of your account, I see that the order was placed on 10/02/2015 and it has already been accepted and sent to our warehouse on 10/03/2015."     I ordered Juicy Couture LA LA perfume. I always check to make sure that the perfume is authentic. Well, I opened the box and checked the bottle, charm and the Juicy Couture emblem on the front of the bottle. The emblem falls right off and it bends. Anytime that happens, it is considered a fake. I recommend ordering perfume only from the company directly or a reputable high end store, like Sephora or Nordstrom.

    Bought rug and rug pad. Too big for my place and rug pad smelled. Asked to exchange for smaller rug. They said no exchanges. Sent me return labels by email. I said I had no printer and asked if they could mail the labels. Paige said "I'd like to help you since you seem like a nice person." Said she'd talk to her supervisor about helping me. Came back and said all they could do is call UPS to have items picked up. Yesterday I received an email saying they received the $27 plus rug pad and would credit my charge card $10.00. I can't wait to see how little I get for the rug.

    I never saw anything on the site that said no exchanges and you would have to look for their return policy. Saw advertising for free shipping. I think they make so much on this return scam that is why they don't exchange anything. I think they should be investigated. I will never buy from them again and will spend my days informing others not to buy from them either. HATED THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE.

    I ordered a treadmill from Overstock.com. BEFORE I ordered it, I chatted with a representative to verify delivery information. I wanted to make sure that it will be brought to my door being that I would not be able to lift a 300 pound box up a flight of stairs by myself. The representative told me not once but twice that it would be brought to my door. ONLY AFTER she verified TWICE, did I ordered the treadmill. Later I got an email saying that it shipped but I noticed that the email said it would be brought to the ground level. I called Overstock immediately and this ended up in several back and forth phone calls.

    Finally after I sent in a snapshot of the conversation between myself and the representative (they initially told me they couldn't do anything about it) and after I started requesting a full refund, they told me that they would upgrade me to white glove at their cost. I said ok I still wanted the item in that case. I was already annoyed with the back and forth and the misinformation at that point but was both excited and desperate to start working on getting my baby weight off. That's the only reason I still agreed to take the item. The delivery company called the day before and we set up delivery. The day of, the driver called about 30-40 mins prior to coming out and asked if I had someone to meet them to get it because it was curbside delivery. I said "Noooo, it was supposed to be upgraded to white glove". The driver stated that she did not have that paperwork.

    She also called her office and they did not have any paperwork saying that they even spoke to Overstock. Overstock apparently thought that once it got to my place that I would accept it anyway. In my opinion, they are liars and can not be trusted. After I got off the phone with the delivery company, I called Overstock. Now they're running around trying to find someone in the oversized department to help me before the delivery company got to my place. However I believe the oversized department is closed on the weekends.

    Their main problem is that their regular department and their oversized department are not even on the same page. I don't even think within the departments they are either. Everyone gives you different information. Even when I was speaking to another representative, telling her that the delivery company just came to my door saying they needed paperwork to upgrade for white glove, she was still telling me that it was UPS that was delivering and that there's no such thing as white glove with UPS.

    I told her "Ma'am, I just stood here speaking with the company. It was not UPS and they definitely have white glove service." It annoyed me that she kept asking what was wrong with the item. If she would have taken a second to review all the notes that are there then she would have known what had been going on. And she wouldn't have continued giving me nonsense information. At this point, I will pay whatever extra it might cost to order from someone else. Overstock will not get my money. That's $600 that I can give to a company who has some type of consumer integrity. I would HIGHLY recommend others doing the same.

    I ordered a rug that was to be delivered on 9/15/15, Overstock said the item was delivered. After contacting UPS and finding out the rug was delivered to the wrong address, I contacted Overstock to let them know and to credit me for the rug. They said they had to do a trace and that would take 1-4 days even though I told them that UPS knows where the rug is. It is now 1 week later and Overstock says they have not found the rug and when they do it will be an additional 1-5 days for the refund!

    I am a driver and I had the unpleasant misfortune of picking up the good people of this country's orders. I was on time even early. The load was still not ready even after they said it would be an hour. These people have no idea what they are between overstock and UPS who I refuse to go to work for since they are all just as **. They don't care about the property that people have ordered. They only care about the money you gave them. Please pass this around everywhere and get both of these companies removed from business.     I ordered furniture from Overstock.com. The delivery dates were all aligned with the exception of two pieces of furniture. I paid extra for express shipping. The set of four dining chairs arrived just fine. The base of the dining room table arrived on time, but not the table itself. Apparently, half of the package getting here constitutes as the entire item being delivered as their website quickly updated that item as being completed delivered. When I contacted customer service, they wanted to offer my store credit. Only ONE item came on time.

    I placed the order only because I was off from work that week and would be able to receive the packages. The date that all of them were supposed to show has come and gone. Now ALL the other packages are showing up when I am not home, so I must now rent a U-Haul to pick them up or hope they can fit in my SUV. They have cost me more money and a lot of aggravation. I left a review on the dining room table and the review was never posted because they considered it to be rude. I'm going to assume the customer's opinion matters only when it is positive.

    On Tuesday evening I had googled a certain shoe I was wanting to purchase for my daughter. I clicked on Overstock and the price was 64.95, which was the normal regular price. I was looking for a sale but decided to look further at a later time. So Wednesday morning I opened the same window I was looking in the night before when I had done the Google search and lo and behold, there was overstock.com advertising the exact shoe in the exact color for 25.99 for a "today only" price.

    So of course I clicked it to buy, it was out of stock, at 7 am in the morning. But I thought maybe the site has that much traffic, who knows. I did see a place to enter my email to be notified if it comes back in stock, so I did so. I then received 5 emails from overstock, the first being the confirmation of request to be notified. I opened that one to see if it was now available and I see a section below that says "you may also like." Guess what I may also like, the exact shoe and color, but it is in stock only if I pay 64.95.

    So I call overstock and the lady first tells me she cannot find any advertising for 25.99, tells me it doesn't exist. Luckily I had taken a snapshot of the page, so I offered to email it to her. She then says, "oh, these are not the same shoe." There is a brand style and number identifying the specific shoe, and no variations from manufacturer, it is in fact the shoe. She finally conceded that these were in fact the same shoe.

    Then tells me they have 2 different warehouses they sell from and the first is the one who offered this price and her computer shows they sold out of all sizes by 7 am. She offered 20% off and free shipping. I declined and stated my feeling on what they were doing, she said to me, "sir it's called marketing", I told her "it's not marketing, it's fraud" and hung up.

    Of course a few hours later I was still upset about it, so I called back, already ordered shoes from another site for 34.99 but wanted to talk to a higher up. I talked to a woman, should have gotten names, she too went through the excuses and I dispelled each one, finally she stood firm that these shoes were not the same shoe, she said they were different, end of story. So I asked, "how many pairs of the shoes did you sell this morning at 25.99," and she says "none sir." I ask again, she said "we have not ever sold this shoe for that price," I said "well, I was told earlier that you completely sold out of the shoes this morning at that price." She again stated she is looking at her computer and assures me they have never sold it at that price!

    So as long as it took to get here, she plainly stated what I felt was happening all along. They tracked my search the night before and conveniently had the shoe I wanted for 25.99 the next morning. But they didn't actually have it, they used that price to bait me in, then switched it to the regular 64.99 after they got me to sign up for the email and create an account, which I have received 14 emails from them in last 24 hours. They are skillful and ruthless in tactics to steer you toward their site, and get your information. I will never buy anything from them and will make sure I comment on every place I can about my experience, be warned or be sorry...

    My mom ordered a dining set not-quite-recently. After over 10 weeks, it still hadn't arrived, so we contacted overstock. They kept claiming that it had been sent out already. Then they said it must be lost and there were no more in stock. My dad then wanted a full refund or something, and guess what? The dining set MYSTERIOUSLY reappeared and was delivered within the next 3 days. End of problem? Far from it! Apparently the delivery people were instructed not to open the boxes for us. They opened a few anyway at my mother's insistence.

    Everything seemed ok. Then when we tried to assemble the chairs, we found one chair with a broken leg and one of the two armchairs with a broken arm, not to mention most of the legs were slightly uneven. There was a whole chunk that was chipped off of the corner of the dining table, and we could barely force the table leaf expanding portion to budge. And now, we don't know if they're gonna give us grief when we try to return it. Awful business, I can't understand why it's still open.

    I placed an order with Overstock. Before you go to pay as an international buyer, they immediately show you all the charges which apply to your order (Shipping, Duty Tax, Int'l Fees). There is absolutely no way around it. Also on their website under "International Help" stands the following information: "About Bongo International. When you place an order, Bongo calculates and displays a guaranteed order total. Shipping fees, any applicable duties/taxes, and shipment insurance will clearly display in your currency of choice when you complete your purchase. There are no additional charges when the product arrives at your door."

    For Merchandise totaling 96,72 EUR, they charged a total of 84,06 EUR. Clever as they think they are, the bill that you get after paying reflects this amount in one total sum under Shipping, even so you also paid the taxes & Co. They basically ensure you on their website, that you don't have to pay a thing when the merchandise arrives, but that's not true. Now German customs want the taxes from me in the amount of 43,41 EUR which I already paid to Bongo, the carrier for Overstock.

    I wrote a complaint to Overstock, the Better Business Bureau and to PayPal. On August the 3rd I got an email from Overstock that they found the "mistake" and Bongo is refunding me the amount. I never got the refund. Now I got a message from the BBB, that they are arguing, they never charged me for taxes and fees. When the problem started, I placed a semi order with all three items I bought before. There is no way that you can go around being charged any taxes and fees regarding an Int'l order. You can only choose either "Int'l Economy" or "Int'l Express" way of shipping. I will never order here again. If I had only checked the web earlier, I would have never gotten in that mess since there are tons of complaints against Overstock.

    My nephew ordered over $300 dollars in merchandise to decorate his room and bathroom so when he started to receive the shipments individually, we noticed that the bathroom set was broken. So we carefully repacked the set and emailed Overstock for a return label and heard back from a customer support tech, William **. He stated that "he found it hard to believe that the bathroom set was broken since it was packed with comforters and towels." Well we had not received the comforter and towels yet, and the bathroom set arrived packed on it's own.

    He requested that we send pictures before they can make a determination. I was livid!! Called customer care and was helped immediately by Annie ** who was polite, kind and understanding. She took action immediately and sent out another bathroom set and a UPS return label for the broken set. Now that's how customer service should work.     I made the mistake of using Overstock again. I have used Overstock for a few years and they continued to get worse and worse. I can honestly say I've had countless problems with them - from wrong or damaged products to fighting for returns and refunds. Just about every instance listed on this site I seem to have experienced. I bought a rug on eBay and did not pay attention to who I bought it from. It was Overstock. Dang. I thought since it was through eBay maybe it would be alright. I was wrong. I received the wrong rug after a long wait. Had I known it was from Overstock, I would never have purchased it.     Ordered a set of chairs. According to Overstock it shipped via UPS. Received an email from UPS saying they would deliver it the next day so I took off work. No delivery--tracking is stuck at "Order Processing." 3 days later I contact UPS and they tell me it never shipped. Contact Overstock and they say it was just an estimate.     Overstock is a store front for overpriced low quality China made products. Once you realize the product you bought is complete garbage and try to return it they will overcharge you for the return shipping label. I bought a ring for $30 based on the nice photo and reviews but when I got it I realized the reviews were obvious lies and the photos were enhanced to make it look elegant. So after returning the product I only received a $17 refund. Then I left an honest 1 star feedback on the product to warn others of the poor quality but the Overstock admins did not allow it to post. If you decide to shop at Overstock just remember these 3 things: 1. The photos are fraudulent; 2. The reviews are controlled by Overstock not the customers; and 3. You are going to lose out on some money if you do a return.

    First, I have been an Overstock customer since about 2006. Now I will NEVER HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM AGAIN. I ordered a rug for $200 but it was out of stock, so online the order said CANCELLED and the charge was $0.00. So you can imagine my surprise when two days later there was a final transaction charge of $200 on my card. I called Overstock and was told that there was no charge of $200 and that I was wrong!! I had to make eight more phone calls of reps assuring me I was wrong before a supervisor "found" the $200 charge, and I received an email saying it would be refunded to me the next day. Five days later, they are blaming my bank for not receiving their refund. But this isn't a refund for a returned item. This is a credit for a $200 error. My bank has suggested I file a fraud claim against them.

    I had a futon shipped and the day it ship I decided to have it sent to a different address in a different state. So, I called OS immediately and spoke with a rep. Now, the package was still in Illinois and I was changing it from shipping to Key Largo, FL to Ann Arbor Michigan. LONG LONG story short - She "ASSURED" the redirect would happen that day, the package would be rerouted and it would not affect the delivery time. After 5 days of dealing with lies and idiots, the futon showed up in Key Largo today, the day it was supposed to arrive in Michigan, and was never rerouted.

    This was time sensitive for my mom's birthday and they lied to me over and over to keep me from just cancelling the order and getting it elsewhere locally.     I submitted an order on June 2, 2015 and received confirmation for that order (#**) - On June 3rd I received 2 confirmations for shipping, as a duplicate order had been processed, although I did not receive a confirmation for the second order (#**). I contacted the company - they said I had duplicated the order, which I had not. They are processing the return, but are charging about 1/3 of the order total for return shipping. They were not willing to pay the return shipping and were very rude in their correspondence with me. I do not recommend ordering from Overstock.com. Other online companies are much more receptive and willing to work with the consumer (i.e. Wayfair.com). This is the first company I have ever had an issue with concerning returns for items not ordered. I will definitely NEVER order from them again.

    We ordered bedroom set for my son. Each piece was shipped separately, which we were not aware of. Bed frame came one day w/ no rails. Had to call but it came a day or two later. Then dresser never came. Called again and was told it was damaged so they had to re-ship it - again, we were never told. When it finally came, the quality was so poor (missing screw, damage to the drawer front, holes not drilled where they were supposed to be, hardware bags randomly put together and torn open, and poor packed), so we called to get replacement parts and were told just to keep it and they would sent a whole new dresser. That tells me the company doesn't care, is aware of quality issues, and would rather just ship another randomly thrown together set. There were so many missing parts, damage, and poor workmanship that we just asked for a refund. They didn't even ask for it back, just told us to give to goodwill.

    They blamed UPS for the damage even after I told them there were no holes drilled in various pieces as per assembly directions - not sure how that is a UPS issue. The one positive is customer service didn't give us a hassle over our (pending) refund, but they showed zero initiative, zero follow up, and zero concern over the quality of the products they sell. That tells me they are fully aware of quality issues and simply operate on a bulk sales system where quality doesn't matter. We ordered the set (over $1000 worth for bed frame and dresser) thinking we were getting a quality furniture set but instead got poor quality particle board IKEA style crap. I'm sure overstock serves a great niche but it isn't for me. If I want that style and that level of quality I can just as easily got to Walmart of target.

    I purchased a rug for $289.99 - 10% = $260.99. When it arrived, the quality was horrible. I set up a return and they said the label will cost $11. No problem. Then, I get refunded $210. That's $40 short. About 20 emails back and forth. Here's Overstock's stance: "Nothing is wrong, don't worry, everything is as it should be." Over and over and over.

    I showed Overstock a screenshot clearly showing I paid $289.99 - 10% off. They ignored it. They said "If you can show us a card statement showing an individual $289.99 charge, we will refund it." They know damn well that this was part of a $2000 order and that CC statements will only show the whole amount, not each individual item. Unreal. Just straight up stole $40. I'm dealing with Google Trusted Stores. If that doesn't work, I'll do a charge dispute. If THAT doesn't work, I'll drive 6 miles and file a small claim for $40 + $2000 for my time (I've been chasing this for weeks now). They won't send a lawyer to defend it, and I'll just get a default judgement.

    I ordered a futon from Overstock. I talked with a representative online who assured me that my futon would arrive on time for my disabled daughter (the only type of mattress that she can sleep on). I ordered it and when I spoke with them again on chat they told me it may be here later than I was told but still before she arrived. This is AFTER the first representative told me it had already shipped two days prior! He told me it hadn't even shipped yet!

    I was upset and wanted to cancel. I needed a comforting place for her to sleep and I was lied to twice! It was too late to cancel and now I still don't have the mattress and I'm out the 300 dollars so I didn't have funds to purchase anywhere else. I got off with a representative just a bit ago and she was rude and read me the policy disregarding what I'd been told and couldn't help me. I NEVER complain about a company!     I purchased a Serta perfect sleeper pillow top mattress and box spring set. On April 20th I was told that I would get a phone call from the delivery company once the merchandise was shipped from the warehouse.On May 4th I had a voice mail on my home phone stating delivery would be the following day. I was at work all day and did not get the message until that evening. When I got home the company who called were closed. I left a voice mail stating I needed a little more notice than that and could I reschedule for Thursday or Friday.

    The scheduler called back the next day on Wednesday again while I was at work and said, "We won't be in your area Thurs or Friday. We will have to schedule next week". I said, "How about Monday or Tuesday? I would have to arrange for someone to come to my house. I will be at work". She said, "Our drivers will not be in your area either of those days". So I said, "How about Wednesday May 13th. She said, "Okay I will put you in our schedule". She said it would be between 1:00 and 4:00 so I took a half day off work and when I got home it was 12:30 I called the moving company and let them know I was home, and the lady I spoke to told me, "We have you on our schedule for delivery today. It will be between 1:00 and 8:00". I sat here for 7 hours and no call. No delivery.

    The next day I was able to call and thought sure they would have called with an explanation. Nothing. So I called them and asked what their explanation was for not delivering as scheduled and promised. She said, "We are sorry for your inconvenience but we will get it to you next Wednesday the 20th between 1:00 and 4:00. I just laughed and said, "You must be joking". I said "I missed a half a day's work without pay and I have stressed a half dozen times I work full time. I get home late. How about Saturday?" They don't deliver on Saturday. This week between 5-11-15 and 5-15-15 I have received 4 messages from the scheduler and 3 from the delivery people saying they are coming today. They called Mon Tues Thurs and Friday. Nobody called or showed up on the day I had scheduled the appointment. As it stands now I will not get my bed until May the 20th. I am extremely upset to say the least.

    We ordered thousands of dollars of furniture and used Overstock credit offer because they offered a 24-month zero interest credit (we could have just used a different credit card). Many complaints with this company and I will never order from them again. First, they did not honor the 24-month zero financing and bounced me back and forth between the bank and Overstock and the bank. The bank finally tells me they are sorry and will honor the 24-month financing, then I get a letter in the mail a week later saying that they don't offer 24 months and won't honor the agreement. Second, they sent a repackaged box for a bedroom set that was not labeled, broken, and obviously a previous return. Thankfully my husband could repair it (at extra cost) and it was not worth returning. The leather living room set we ordered arrived with flaws.

    Third, don't expect any help from customer service. I was hung up on three times while inquiring about problems (never got angry or sweared). They are horrible to deal with so I'd just pay the extra and buy from another company. On top of all this, the furniture had misleading descriptions, delivery is SLOW and tracking numbers were often unavailable or unreliable. Bottom line, beware of dealing with Overstock. It's a gamble on the quality of the product and you are surely guaranteed zero customer service. I will never buy from them again.

    The short of it. I ordered 2 lamps and about a week later, I received the wrong colored lamps. I called, jumped through the hoops and finally, solution - I return the old lamps and they'll ship me the lamps I ordered. Another week, I received the same lamps I returned? How moronic is that?     I live in Salt Lake and my parents ordered furniture for me from Overstock.com because they are based here. However, every item I ordered shipped from the east coast and took several days to deliver via ground shipping. The padding on the chair was damaged (I can pull out staples and fix this, which seemed easier than sending them back) and I found a pub table I liked to go with them. Chairs 24 inches, table 36 inches.

    The table arrived with the wrong finish and was only 30 inches high. I have to repackage it (UPS will pick it up) and Overstock offered me a 20% discount on the next purchase at the same standard shipping rate (about a week). I have been moved in for a week and waiting patiently for the table (which took a day longer than their original delivery estimate). The customer service representative seemed non-pulsed by my complaint and unapologetic for the major inconvenience. I will not be calling back as Overstock only had one table in that height and size; I had specifically picked out the chairs and table to match and work with my budget.

    Updated on 10/01/2015: My overall opinion is that Overstock is that they sell medium to low quality items that they pass off as discounted designer name brands. I have yet to order something and receive and feel like I got a good or great value. Overall the quality of the product is generally reflected in the price. You will not get designer products for less.

    I purchased a ring for my wife, the same size we always purchase. When it came, it looked nice, but it fell right off her hand. I told her that it was not a big deal, because they would exchange it. I had gotten that impression after this was literally stated for furniture and other items advertised on the blaze TV. However, that and multiple other things were not true. They wouldn't even respond to my e-mail, only saying for "other reasons" I had to make a call to customer service (part 1 of the run-around).

    I called, and then they said they would do it, but only if I shipped it back, with tracking, at my expense. They also could not cross-ship a replacement, nor would they process the return until the other item was back and logged into their system using some special number that "had to be prominently displayed on the outside of the packaging." When I attempted to point out the complexity and difficulty, they started assigning blame, giving none or incorrect answers, and I generally got the feeling they just wanted me to go away.

    I even purchased the dang 2 year insurance on this thing. I dread ever trying to deal with them again should any issue arise. I definitely won't be using them for other purchases and I wanted to let others know was I forgot to check here before placing this order (that part WAS my fault). Don't believe what they say or other "satisfied customers" in their commercials. It's not REALLY how it works. Expect to be hassled, finger pointing, and several miss-leading or outright wrong answers (and be prepared to use the phone, as you will likely be told to call if you try to e-mail them).

    Overstock always send emails containing discounts weekly. I used their 10% discount code to order a sofa that was suppose to take up to 4-6 weeks to deliver (2 weeks for processing, 4 weeks to produce). First time around, I waited nearly 4-5 weeks before receiving an email that there was an issue on their website regarding inventory count. I'm not sure why it took them that long before notifying me of the issue, but they did. I was offered a $5 discount to use for my next purchase which I thought was pathetic and insulting, considering the sofa cost around $2,800. However, I liked the sofa so much that I gave Overstock a second try. This time, I called customer service to confirm that they are definite this item is back in stock and explained my previous issue. They reassured me that it was indeed back in stock, and not to worry because they have 6 left and should not run out any time soon.

    Well, I went ahead and placed my order using another discount code which was emailed to me. A week went by, I had my doubts so contacted customer service to check the status of my order and was told it was still processing. Then it continued to be an ongoing routine for me to contact customer service to check my order status which went on for another 4-5 weeks. Finally, bouncing from one rep to the next they gave up on my order and said they did an audit on the shipment, couldn't track it so issued a refund. I strongly believe that this was no mistake to begin with, but instead they sold the sofa to other customers that paid full price. I am very tempted to place another order at full cost just to prove I am right. However, I never want to deal with this scam of a company again.

    Overstock.com conveniently buries their return policy deep within their website. As I recently found out, there is a reason for it, and the returns are not as easy as one might expect. First, the returns are not free, and Overstock demands that the merchandise be insured on its way back to their warehouse. They do not insure the very same item when they ship it to you but what is good for the goose, apparently is not acceptable for the gander. Before you get to spend about $50 or more depending on the item for shipping and insurance, you must obtain an RMA or return merchandise authorization number. Overstock apparently is very busy issuing those RMAs because they reserve two to three business days to respond to the request for one.

    When you finally get to speak to them, they grill you over the reasons for return, and whether you wore the item, or damaged it, or did something else that could disqualify the item. So, no questions asked, is not the case when you are not happy with your purchase and want to return it. By the way, the RMA number is just your order number preceded by letters RMA; so the whole requirement is really just a maneuver on their part to delay the return. They like to delay the refund of your money too, as they reserve 5 business days to inspect the returned merchandise. Their policy actually states that they may make a decision whether to refund your money in full or perhaps just a portion of it. So, keep that in mind when placing your next order with them, and consider retailer who in addition to the online store, still maintain physical locations where you could return the merchandise at no cost and no questions asked.

    The image of the pair of chairs (2 per box - purchased 2 boxes) on Overstock was a WHITE seat. When I opened the box, seats on chair where a CHEAP-looking BROWN, not white as the photo on Overstock. I called to say shipped wrong color; reply: "Oh, it is correct, we have to ask the supplier of the chairs to change to photo color of white to brown". They then informed me "UPS would pick up from 3 to 5 days and that I would receive $340 reimbursement AFTER they received chairs in good condition, that could take up to 14 days". Why should I wait up to 14 days for reimbursement for a deceiving sale of a product? A total RIPOFF and SCAM from the part of Overstock. First and last time I purchase at Overstock.

    Beware of what you see on website, may not be what they ship! The reimbursement should be immediate being that they deceive the buyers by showing a different product picture. I trusted they would ship what I order, I paid in advance. They should reimburse me immediately as they should trust I am returning their boxes (one box is not even open). This should be stopped.

    I've bought probably 6-10 different jewelry items from Overstock over the last year, and can't complain about anything except maybe they mislead you to the size of the items in the photos. It's hard to judge when gemstones are measured by millimeters and most of them don't include a photo with a person. I've sent back several due to the tiny size, and they always accept the item gracefully and issue a refund.

    On the other end of the spectrum, I've gotten some rings and earrings from them that would have cost at least double with the 2 big tv shopping companies. I shop for jewelry constantly, and the best deals quite often are with Overstock or Ebay. Their shipping is also very reasonable, which is more than you can say for most of the other online companies.     Stuhrling Original Mens watch - I purchased this watch Oct 31st and received in November. The watched worked great for 60 days and then the second hand fell off under the face plate. I contacted Overstock and they said "we can't help you." They said they do not back any product unless you purchase a warranty contract with overstock.com. After explaining that this is a defective warranty issue they told me to call back the next day because they were about to close.

    To get this fixed from Stuhrling Company I need to send the watch to them and include a $20 fee (for a defective workmanship) issue. I requested a return from Overstock because they do not back the products they sell and they said "we are very sorry but next time buy our extend warranty. Have a nice day. We cannot help you." I recommend not purchasing items from Overstock because they do not back the product they sell.

    After setting it up the coffee table we ordered, saw that the base piece was cracking/splitting, though assembly directions were followed exactly. Other pieces had cosmetic defects, so I issued a request for a replacement piece, which was not available. Instead, Overstock mistakenly shipped TWO replacement tables (80 lbs each) to two different addresses (billing and shipping addresses). I immediately contacted Overstock to have a pick-up issued for the wrong address. My elderly parents were told to wait 2-5 days for the pick up, which never happened, only to find out that Overstock had issued the pick up for the wrong address.

    Additionally, the replacement table shipped to the new address also had defects and was clearly not examined prior to shipping (was still in mfg box). I took the time to disassemble the entire original table, only to be disappointed in the quality, yet again. I ended up mixing and matching pieces to get one, undamaged table. Now I have to arrange a pick up for the return, meaning I have to wait at home for the pick up (item is far too heavy to carry), which is only free if we are willing to accept a 2-5 day pick up window.

    At this point, It's been nearly a month and I've corresponded with a total of 8 customer service representatives. Customer service emails are mostly "canned" copy/pasted responses and some of the content didn't even apply to my situation. Only after I called, was my request to involve a supervisor honored. The supervisor offered an $80 credit, which is not nearly enough for the incredible inconvenience this has caused two households. Overstock's shipping costs to transport the extra table back and forth far exceeds this measly credit. I will never shop at Overstock again.

At this point, I agreed, since the time I really needed it (and the urgency) had passed. So, mind you, I placed the original order a month ago, and have had to repack 2 orders and wait for them to be acknowledged.

    So today, round three. I've now learned to be very careful with opening the package--you guessed it--WRONG FOR THE THIRD TIME. Customer service tells me the process is the same: they send notice to the warehouse (same warehouse that has failed this order x3) verifying they have the item and requesting assurance the item number is correct. I am told there is no way to escalate this complaint, so it's Groundhog Day until I am ready to give up. Meanwhile, I am out the money, with nothing but frustration to show for it. It's worth it to pay more, people.

    I place an order that was never processed. Invented processing for about a week then said it was sent to the post office. This was another week. The post office never received it with the tracking number they gave. I've contacted them 4 times & I get a run-around each time. The kicker is shame on me, I ordered a Coach bag which is probably not authentic to begin with. I've asked several times for a refund and they refuse. Now they are supposedly doing a claim with the post office which will take another week & I am positive nothing will be resolved. Save yourself a lot of time on her vacation and just buy from whomever or anybody basically but do not, do not, do not buy from Overstock.com. This is the most frustrating experience I've experienced. It truly is a no-win situation and their time my money up when I could have been enjoying the product. Shame on me, but please don't want to be shame on you, that's why I'm writing this. Sigh.

    Initially I thought that it was damaged in transit by FedEx. But after receiving 4 damaged items in a row (one initial order and 3 replacement attempts), I believe that what overstock.com has in stock is already damaged. They clearly do not inspect before shipping. Packaging is also inadequate. After 3 damaged items, spoke with customer service supervisor and requested item to be inspected before shipping and requested better packaging. Was told that overstock inspects all items before shipping (lies, all items including last arrived in boxes sealed initially by manufacturer). Was also told that additional packaging will be added; another lie it was not added. Value your time, stay away from overstock.

    I had placed a large order with overstock the end of December 2014, including furniture, appliances and home decor. About a week after placing my order I received a call from them saying they needed to "verify" information with my husband and could not talk to me. So after my husband got off work, I had him call. He was put on hold for 10 minutes to verify his address... something that I had already done in the previous phone call. After he verified our address he was told he was going to be placed on hold again, after a few more minutes someone new came on the phone asking for him to verify address. By this point we're both a little ticked off but hung up thinking at least it's done.

    The next morning I read reviews on others experiences with this company, I had the same feelings! I felt uneasy with the purchase so luckily I was able to cancel that large order, but the microwave, sheets and carpeted tiles were being processed so I wasn't able to cancel. They all took a long time to ship (I just received the tiles 2 days ago and still waiting on the sheets), I had placed this order 3 weeks ago. The tiles were so poorly made with the backing falling off, I ended up throwing them all away ($100 lesson). From my experience Overstock does not have quality products, very slow shipping time and poor customer service. I will never place another order with them.

    I ordered a Modesto Brown Modern Dry Bar and Wine Cabinet on December 13, 2014 and received an update on the 16th stating "Package shipped 12/15/14" and that the items are on its way. When I initially placed the order, it stated I would receive it by Christmas. I did not. I understood and waited until after the holidays. On the 30th I contacted support and they told me they would place a Trace on the order. I then receive an email yesterday stating "If you have not received this item, please respond back to us before 5 pm MT tomorrow, 1/6/2015, by replying back to this email or calling 1-800-843-2446. If we do not hear from you at that time, we will assume you received this delivery and we will cancel the trace." I respond back immediately stating I have not received the item. Then, today, I receive an email stating "Write a Review on Your Recently Purchased Products". Is all of this a joke?? This is my first time ordering with Overstock and it will be my last.

    1. Why do I have to bring it to THEIR attention that I have not received my package? Why did 14 days go by with no update and no one at Overstock reach out to me?
    2. Why do I receive an email telling me they received the request for the trace but that I have a little over 24 hours to confirm or they will cancel the Trace? Do they not have a way of SEEING that I have not received the package?? I can go on UPS.com and SEE that the package has not shipped! Why do I need to call or reply to an email for them to proceed??

    3. Why am I receiving an email to review my purchase when I have not received the package yet? It is like they are deliberately trying to upset me.

    Now I am 10x more furious and will need to call Overstock to figure out what is going on. I had originally placed the order with Walmart and cancelled it to place it with Overstock. I should have just left the order with Walmart. I will never order with Overstock again. And, now that I am looking at other reviews, I recommend that others do the same.

    It's almost 3 in the morning and I'm writing this because I just got done talking to somebody on overstock's customer service chat. I ordered a ring for my boyfriend in the beginning of December that he thought was too small. I ordered a bigger one after returning the smaller one. The bigger one ended up being too big. Note: he has never worn a ring before so he didn't know. The ring is beautiful though and great quality so we definitely want it. All is well, I'll order the smaller one back and not return the big one yet until he can really compare sizes in person. Overstock helped me with a small discount on ordering the small ring again. Ordered December 20th and expected delivery was the 26th.

    By the first few days of January I realized that the holidays were not the cause of my package never getting here. I contacted them again and they said it was lost in the mail and that I would get an email telling me more about it and whether it was found or if I'd get a replacement. They also said sorry and that they'd expedite the replacement if need be, so that I'd still have time to return whatever ring we decided didn't fit. 3 days pass... I JUST got an email telling me a package was shipped to me???? AND that I would receive it in over A WEEK.

    I am so infuriated, I contacted them again and they said it was too late, it was already shipped and etc., etc. I FOUND OUT THE ORDER WAS MADE THE SAME DAY I TALKED TO THEM ABOUT IT BEING LOST. I wasn't ever informed that they were going ahead with a new order! I've been sitting here waiting for an email from the UPS on whether the other was found yet or not. Now I'll have been waiting over 3 weeks for one ring and it's quite possible I'll have past the deadline for returning the other one!

    They were unclear, repetitive and hardly any help whatsoever. I was promised expedited shipping and emails on the update of my lost ring and I didn't get either. Now I'm sitting here waiting for another ring and my boyfriend is just as mad as I am at this point. Sooo so disappointed with their online customer service. I buy so much online for prices and ease and this site has done nothing but cost me time, money, and frustration. Never ordering from them again. I'll stick to amazon.

    I originally ordered "Pearl Export 5-piece Jet Black Drum Kit" from Overstock for my 10 year son on Dec 17th with expected delivery date of Dec 24th. On Dec 26th I reached out to Overstock customer support via chat and they looked up and said that the order was not shipped for unexplainable reasons and agreed to send me the Drum set ASAP. Today is Jan 3rd, 2015. I have received a shipping update from Overstock. The new delivery ETA is Jan 5th.     I ordered a diamond necklace from overstock.com as a Christmas present for my mom. I ordered it on Christmas eve expecting to get it January 2 as I paid the express shipping. I was already very unhappy with the 100 dollar duty fee but the necklace was on sale and I wanted to avoid the stores. I was tracking the package looking everyday and it was coming from Florida to Nova Scotia, Canada. I checked when the package was in Massachusetts and then checked last night to find out my package was back in Florida without even being notified.

I contacted overstock.com and they said they will get it collected through USPS and they will let me know which day. Also they shipped the new desk for me. I got the new desk but the previous one was not collected. I contacted Customer Service today to confirm when this big packet will be collected and they are telling me that they have been waiting for me to drop at USPS. I told them my car is not big enough and they said USPS will collect it from my apartment but they won't give me a day. They said it would be in 2-5 business days.     I ordered two bookcases in Ebony and Overstock sent Espresso. To my dismay my husband assembled the bookcases for me when I was gone from home. Not only had they sent the incorrect color but they were dinged and scratched with major chunk soya of the end sand sides with dents and scratches all over. I called Customer service and they told me they would issue replacements. Then told me we had to disassemble them and pay 80.00 for custom boxes per each box, called back and got a nice young lady who told me to take photos and that would settle claim and we would not have to send them back. A few minutes later received phone call from said young lady who stated that the damage was not what they expected and we would have to disassemble and send them back. This was not OUR fault and she said that the said damage was similar to two months of wear and tear! We do not treat our furniture like this!     Beware return costs - even if overstock.com makes the mistake, you are out of pocket!!

    I recently ordered bed sheets from overstock.com through eBay; they shipped the wrong size. When I contacted overstock.com, the response was "Talk to eBay." eBay finally gave approval to return the incorrect item for refund; when I asked about the cost of shipping the incorrect item from Canada, overstock.com said it was nothing to do with them, talk to eBay! eBay told me it was not their problem, and that I had had a choice on whether or not to send the item back - no choice if I wanted any refund!!!

    End result: overstock.com sent me the wrong item and I had to pay for the privilege of returning it so that could obtain a refund! Initial purchase cost $125 (refunded by eBay); return shipping $27 - my expense!! No accountability & no consequences for "bad behaviour" = poor customer service!

    I ordered on 12/20/14 over the phone. I was told the item was in stock and that he would make sure it gets shipped Monday. I was also told I would receive a confirmation email and we should receive the item no later than 12/29/14. On 12/25 I contacted overstock because I never received the confirmation email and was hoping for tracking information. In doing so they told me the item had not yet shipped and I should wait to hear from someone else.

    Today 12/26 I get an email stating they are working on issuing a full refund and they do not have the item I ordered and paid for. I am disappointed that I was not contacted after my order went unfilled for a whole week.     UPS lost my order. I filed a claim with UPS. They said they were liable to the seller and after 8 days to contact the seller. UPS did their investigation. Overstock.com informs me they have to do their own investigation, then there is a wait period again. I showed them the documentation that UPS investigated. The person I chatted with online then began to send me computerized "broken record" messages that just repeated the verbatim message that they would do their own investigation. I also got a sales message asking me to refer other customers to them. When is pointed out the documentation and asked for them to resend my order, the chat was immediately discontinued, by them. I was not abusive, I only requested not to be sent verbatim repeats, and told them I would no longer be their customer. I paid for this item, now I have more waiting to do.

    This process is just not good. I was required to wait 8 business days to start with UPS, and now Overstock.com requires another investigation! Why I believe they do all of this is to keep their insurance rates down by follow a lot of red tape. Then, they still eat these losses, have increased rates, and pass that cost to customers anyway.

    As a vendor myself, I understand the problem is with the insurance companies, but when I fought them I won. We should not pass their greed onto our customers! Companies get away with this b/c we do not understand how insurance companies impact the economy. My policy is to carry no liability insurance unless the law says I have to.

    I am so angry right now... this has been going on for almost 2 weeks now. I have been going from agent to agent, being lied to one after another and tonight was the last straw. I got on to buy the ring I wanted. I am a customer, a paying customer, I just bought my husband 2 rings 2 weeks ago, and was very pleased. I came back, and saw a code, for $50 off... if I spent $75. I don't want to hear that you don't offer that, or I have to spend $600, because the next person who talked to me, which was ironically named Jennifer, as the rude woman I just spoke to name was, told me she would give me that promo code immediately, then she hung up on me. Then I got another agent, who told me that no agent would say that and called me a liar. Then I got a guy who told me yes, he would do that, confirm the purchase, pay full price, and he'd immediately give me $50 back on my credit card.

    So tonight, I thought, I'd try again, I came in to order my ring, and a chat box came up with a lady Teri, who was amazing, and she ACTUALLY listened. She is smarter than EVERY SINGLE AGENT THAT WORKS HERE!! She helped me so much. So then I'm excited, thinking, great, I'm going to get help finally, and I get hung up on first then get told I can't help you at all and when I ask why, I was lied to. Shes like "is there anything else?"

    So here we are, I've been promised over and over that I'd get a discount, that I'd get help, and then when I get transferred for that help, I get a rude lazy person who says "sorry, can't help you, but have a nice night." I'm sick and tired of being lied to. Is this how you run your company? I'm an author, and a blogger, and I'm very well known. When I blog about this, and show all the transcripts, the people who I have referred here aren't going to purchase anything and those who did, are going to return their products. My word means a lot.

    The ring I want is $130, all I'm looking for is a discount. I wanted the $50 I was promised 3 times by YOUR workers, but I am sure I won't get that, so I want to know if there's anything at all you're going to do? I was supposed to have a book finished tonight, but for 3 hours I've been with you guys, and I wouldn't have been if I had been told immediately that I couldn't get help, but I was told that this department would help me but it seems when I get here I'm treated horribly!!!!     I am so disgusted with Overstock. I ordered a toy motorcycle for my 2 year old for Christmas (from Santa) through Overstock.com. On December 13, 2014, I specifically chose this website because it was guaranteed delivery by Christmas. I looked to see where my package was today (Dec 23) and it says it will not be delivered until December 30th. When I called, they said there was nothing they can do but offer me credit. As if I would ever shop there again. How do you guarantee your customers something and don't follow through with this? Completely unacceptable. I asked if I could order it again and have it overnighted and they said they could not do that.     I have applied for overstock credit at the time of placing an order so that I can get 10 percent off. 6 days later I received letter from their bank Comenity Capital Bank saying that they are unwilling (who the hell uses this word) to extend credit for me Because the info they have does not match experian info. So I called them to find out that their stupid bank nor their customer service people have an access to my application. And yes the application center does not have phone number so that I can call them and straight this mess up. Any way east coast customer service is bad.     I purchased several wedding rings from myself and partner with the expectation that I would return the ones that didn't meet with our approval. I expected to pay "something" for returning the ones we rejected. IMAGINE our shock when the rings looked awful. Not at all like the pictures, so we initiated the "return" process on their website and AGAIN, imagine our shock when the return policy dictated that we return EACH ring separately and with a HUGE return postage fee of almost $10 EACH!!! We immediately contacted O/S via their "Chat" venue and the young woman was very accommodating and sent us via email the labels to return the items AT NO COST. Well the next week, we received emails charging us for EACH ring the post charges that we had been assured we would NOT incur. We asked if there was any record of our previous "chat" and were told "no." We find this hard to believe and if it IS true, it is hardly any way to do business.

    We contacted O/S AGAIN and were told that since we initiated the return, we would have to pay the fees. DUH!!! NEVER AGAIN. They made more money on the postage fees than a couple of rings even cost. Sad that the consumer has no recourse at the hands of such unethical, unscrupulous thieves. I guess the good little Mormons in Utah have been corrupted by the dollar and no longer feel they need to treat their fellowman as human any longer. Donny and Marie would not be too proud.

    I purchased an Innerspace Cal King foam mattress. It came on late on 12-11, got mattress out of the box 12-12 early morning. It was definitely a King as it was square. Cal King is rectangular. The invoice states Cal King 72X84, 6 inches. Ah NO!!! It is 74X74, and 4 inches. I immediately called customer service before 6 am on 12-12, expressed my concerns that this wasn't as represented by the ad, and any intelligent person can measure it and see that it is NOT the dimensions it should be, what I paid for. It came shrink wrapped, and there is NO way to repackage into the box. Customer service assured me that they would contact me about returning. I went to post a review, because I didn't want anyone having the same unfortunate experience.

    I didn't realize that once opened these are nonreturnable. Ok, that is fine if they ship you the CORRECT SIZE and the CORRECT height, but if the invoice and tag and packaging says it is correct, and you open it to find out it is CLEARLY NOT what you thought you purchased, and was completely misrepresented, then that is NOT fair at all. I then called my credit card company around 9 am because to me this is fraud. I paid for a Cal King 6 inch mattress. I received a King size, 4 inch mattress. So I am in dispute. I am FURIOUS now, because the c/s rep never mentioned that since it was opened it is deemed nonreturnable/nonrefundable, just that a different department handles this stuff. That is WRONG, I didn't USE the mattress, merely opened the mattress-BIG difference, and you wouldn't know the actual size of the mattress w/o opening the item, DUH.

    I am currently awaiting news to what the credit card is gonna do. I then intend to wipe up the floor with Innerspace for not being able to measure width, length and height of a mattress, tag it with the WRONG dimensions and then not take it back. That is bait and switch IMHO, with the intention to deceive. If I have to go to small claims court I will, because I am tired of being a shafted consumer! Please don't buy bedding from them EVER...go locally! Oh and the price increased since Monday...I find that comical, it should be DECREASED.

    I placed an order with overstock for my mother as birthday gift. When I placed the order it stated that the order would arrive 3-5 business days. Placed the order on 12/02/14, got a confirmation on 12/03/14 that the order shipped. I tracked the order that indicated the order would arrive on 12/10/14, that was great because, it would be at her door on her birthday. To my dismay, today is 12/10/14 - guess what? Now the arrival date on tracking said 12/12/14. That's not going to work for me. I contacted the customer service about my concern and the LIE of 3-5 business days. She told me that shipping per Overstock is 5-10 business days. This is not what was stated to me when I placed the order. That is why I ordered from them!!! Basically I sent her a screen shot of the confirmation that said 3-5 days and the delivery date of 12/10/14. She told me to refuse the deliver whenever I get it and that is how I will get a refund. That is unacceptable. DON'T order from OVERSTOCK this year. Save yourself the frustration!!!

    We ordered two $1400+ Persian rugs and they were absolutely amazing. We went to Turkey the following year and found one of them at a store and it was $1000 more than what we paid for it. We also ordered a rug that we didn't like and they took it back with no complaints (It was a big package!). We had to return two big accent chairs because they were not built well and they emailed a return label immediately.     We do not receive US Postal Service delivery at our home; we rely on a Post Office Box. Overstock.com will not ship to a P. O. Box so our home address was provided for shipping by FedEx. Rather than delivering to our home, FedEx delivered to our local Post Office so they could complete delivery. Except USPS doesn't deliver to our home and since there was no P.O. Box listed on the package, it was promptly returned to Overstock.com. According to Overstock.com, the item will not be re-shipped but will be circulated back into inventory at an undetermined future date and time. This was the last of this particular item. Results: Lost business for Overstock.com, loss of product for the consumer, and wasted time/resources.

    I wanted to place an order (as a gift) from overstock. The delivery address is in US but I wanted to pay with my credit card, which is a foreign one. My surprise is that even when the delivery address is in US, only because my credit card is not, I will be charged as if the delivery address was in the country where my credit card is issued! Which besides to be absurd, only the shipping fee is the outrageous 35% of the total bill! Under these conditions, a website should not claim it has 'international' billing/shipping. It is INTERNATIONAL RIP OFF! BTW: Its online customer support (live chat) is very inefficient to say the less.

I sent an e-mail to Overstock regarding this curiosity, and they sent me a return e-mail saying that the tracking number was in error, and they would be sending me a new one that was correct. That never happened. I sent another e-mail with rather stern wording regarding this issue, and I received further assurance that the item was on the way, but no tracking number.

    After a few more days I called customer service, and talked with a very sympathetic lady, who heard my story and said she would take care of everything. She said she was going to credit me with $25 for my trouble, cancel that order, and expedite shipping of the item immediately, sending it by three-day express, which they "never normally do." She apologized profusely, and I asked if they would give me another tracking number to make sure I was here, and she assured me they would. I felt a lot better!

    After another two days I had received nothing, so I went on-line to my account to see what was going on. It showed the first order canceled, and a second order canceled. Well, I have high BP and am elderly, so it is a wonder I didn't have a stroke! This was to be a birthday present and time was now running out. I once again called customer service and talked with a second lady and recounted all the above. She put me on hold a couple of times for lengthy periods, and finally said they no longer stocked the item and promised to refund my money. That was Nov 18, so I'm ready to message my PayPal account and cancel if it is not forthcoming. I did get an e-mail saying it would be refunded.

    PLEASE do not do business with OVERSTOCK--they are beyond pitiful! I cannot tell you how much time and stress they cost me. I did order the chair from Amazon, but it will have missed the birthday date. But at least I can count on Amazon.

    This is what I sent them...They ship internationally, but not to US possessions - Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands may be under International, but NOT GUAM. I am a resident of NV and ordering to be delivered to US. Initially I had Cuisinart ss700 at $199.99 less 10% of O coupon. However at check out, it was back to $199.99 and 10% disappeared so I cleared the browser again and now the price went up to $209.99. I called with unpleasant experience. No matter what I told the gentleman that I cleaned browser and used different browser, he repeated himself that I may need to clean browser. I finally told him, I am certified by Microsoft technician... even then he had issue. Finally after reasoning, he finally offered to take the order for me. Guess what, interim, I found it less expensive at Amazon.com so I bought it from Amazon with no headache. Last time similar issue happened, the gentleman very kind and assisted me all the way, but NOT today. Also, your website has issue, often presenting different prices. I lost confidence with your company and may spread the word. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED.

    So, I applied for and was given an overstock store card - but.... Never got it in the mail. Never got a bill. Tried to log-in to their comenity bank as the canned rep making $10/Hr stated over and over; can't, the info overstock gave them was wrong. Tried calling comenity bank but they won't talk to me as the info overstock gave them is wrong. Chatted with overstock, the rep just kept telling me to call over and over to comenity. I am certain this is affecting my credit. Won't be using overstock again - ever - big deal considering I run a business and to date have spent over $10k this year there plus my personal account purchases. Beware and stay away!

    Overstock is a joke and hoax and should be shut down. I am ashamed I did not read the reviews sooner. I trusted them, with their comparisons to amazon, a real company. We have been looking for quite some time for our first baby's crib and finally found the perfect lime green one on overstock. As there is seemingly no where else to find a lime green crib already painted. It's claimed to be by Child Craft, yet when I checked their website, they do not make lime green or pink or grey cribs as advertised on overstock. I chatted online with customer service reps from overstock three days in a row, each promised it would ship the second business day, which for some reason was actually the 4th business day.

    Apparently Halloween is now not a business day? Then I was told that the time difference from the warehouse location was 2 hours behind us and we had a birth class last night so I informed them I would check the order status when I returned from that. At midnight, on what is technically the 4th business day, suddenly they had no idea what was going on or why it hadn't shipped. Each time you contact them they say the exact same things, robots. Each time I also received an email saying I would be contacted in 24 hours about this issue, I never was, so I'm not sure if they start over the clock each time they are contacted.

    Then lo and behold this morning I receive an email saying now the item will ship in 1-4 business days, no other explanations. So that is when I decided to check child crafts website. Again, they don't even have this item on their website, they do have it in espresso and white though, no grey, pink, or green. 9$ cheaper than the overstock site too! My husband called overstock, not knowing about this email yet, and was told a representative would look into it and call him back after they contacted the manufacturer. So, I called, and was told after being put on hold, that an agent is looking into it and is working with the WAREHOUSE not the manufacturer, since I did inform this girl that the manufacturer listed doesn't actually make this item.

    After a few more questions on where the actual warehouse is, she couldn't tell me. "We have a few..this one is a partner warehouse worldwide foundations that's all I can see on my program here." Then HOW did a customer service representative tell me yesterday evening that the warehouse was 2 hours behind us in time zones, and that is why it hadn't shipped bc it would ship by the end of their business day?? What a hoax of a company. SO disappointed b/c we were so ecstatic to have found our baby's crib! NEVER ORDER FROM OVERSTOCK, THEY ARE A SCAM.

    On October 3, 2014, I purchased a pair of slippers from Overstock.com. They were to be a birthday present. Within a week I checked to see the status of the shipment, only to discover they hadn't been shipped. The lady I chatted with gave me two nice apologies, but said it takes 3 - 8 days to ship. I asked her to cancel the order. She said she would try, but doubted that she could. She said if I received them to refuse them. Long story short, 19 days later (October 22), the slippers arrived, and I refused them so the post office sent them back. Fortunate for me (and my husband), I had ordered another pair from Amazon.com, and they arrived in FOUR DAYS....which was seven days prior to the the slippers from Overstock.com arriving! With all the horror stories on this website about quality, shipment delays, customer service, etc., it's my opinion that Overstock.com won't be in business very much longer. I for one will never purchase anything from them again.

    Just saw the commercial.. I guess you have to have millions to be part of this site.. The woman says I want this... I want that... I want this... I want that. etc. then he gives her a huge necklace... plus redesigned the whole house just for the holiday. Just went to the site.. Wow.. everything is not a really good price. The commercial is bad for their marketing.. Go to ebay or any other site.. Overstock is a RIPOFF.. unless you have big bucks!! Plus customer service is horrible.. Not Nice!!

    In July, I ordered a new office chair from Overstock.com. The first chair although Overstock said it had been shipped, it never arrived. After emails and phone calls, another chair was shipped. Unfortunately, the chair was missing a wheel and the holes had not been drilled for the arm rests, so I returned it receiving a $30 credit for my troubles. Chair number 3 arrived last week in a box that was well worn and tattered. The chair was dumped into the box (not individually packaged), it had scratches, was dusty, missing instructions an allen wrench and some washers. By this time, I was exhausted with the process and sent an email outlining the issues but offered to keep the chair if discounted because the chair was USED.

    I received a call on Sunday morning. The young lady put me on hold and returned to offer a 20% discount for my troubles. Clearly 20% was not enough to account for a USED product, the labor to assemble it, only to have to re-pack a very heavy box. My total dissatisfaction came when the customer service rep. asked me if I could take the box to UPS and also if she had met all of my needs. My needs will only be met when I receive a full refund. After three tries with the first chair never arriving and returning two chairs, I am completely finished with Overstock.com. Since Overstock started advertising on TV their service has plummeted. If it's their goal to run good customers away with 3 failures in a row - they got it done!

    I ordered a love seat on September 26, 2014. My credit card was charged on October 1, 2104. The order read "Processing" on the site. I made four phone calls to them to ask when the love seat was being shipped. Got total runaround and they couldn't tell me where it was or when it would ship. I told them three times to cancel it and called my credit card company to stop payment. This morning, I get an e-mail showing that it will be delivered on Friday. I just had a call that it will be delivered on Tuesday. Bottom line is be wary of ordering furniture or any other large items from them that have to be shipped by truck as you'll never know where the item is until it falls from the sky. All this could have been avoided with proper communication.

    The Item#: 15502619 is the INSPIRE Q Wicker Park Dark Grey Linen Armless Sofa $404.99.This represents a major purchase for a senior citizen on Social Security income. I don't have the shipping carton to return the sofa. If money refunded, how much good is that? I am allergic to mold. I have just moved into a small house, refurbished with new rugs, all new major appliances, and fresh paint on the walls and ceilings that never had water damage. I have been purchasing nice furnishings from IKEA and this sofa from Overstock.

    I showered and washed my hair. All my clothing is in the washer. Because the sofa is full of mold, I had to put it in the garage. Now, the garage will have to be sprayed down with 10% solution of bleach. First, I have to use 10% bleach solution to treat the living room wall I propped the major components against (assembly is required) and living room rug where I had laid it down to see if that is enough. There is no compensation for this much harm.

    I ordered 3 items from Overstock.com... 2 items same size just different colors. Order arrived. I tried them on. Now mind you these are "saposta" be the same... They were both made of different fabric, one was too large and one was too small.... both said large on the tag... The 3rd item was not the same as shown on line and again too large. I called the number for returns....and got a total runaround. I totally wasted $120 and will NOT be placing any future orders with them. And will be telling everyone I know of this horrible experience. I work too hard for my money to just "give" it away to a company that doesn't care.

    I ordered a loveseat from Overstock.com. A week later I received an e-mail stating that my item had shipped, but the tracking number would not work. I called, live chatted, and e-mailed, each time being told the item had shipped, that I needed to wait, that the carrier would contact me, etc. 11 business days after getting the "your item has shipped" notice I talked with a supervisor who finally contacted their warehouse only to discover that the item was still there - had never been shipped at all. She told me she would personally make sure that it was shipped the next day... and the shipping company still does not have it. The poor Overstock Rep. I spoke to this morning said that according to his information, it had shipped.....
