I am very disturbed that I cannot track my order. I received one item and not the other. I went to PostNL to insert the tracking number and it didn't know the number. The first package which was nail art came by UPS. I assumed the second would be sent the same. The website is saying that it has been shipped by PostNL. I never heard of it. I cannot find a number to call and inquire about my package which was a big nail decorating kit (Xmas gift). I wish I had done some research prior to ordering. First and last time with this site.

I ordered a professional make-up brush set from LightInTheBox on December 4, 2015 as a family member's Christmas gift. The order was allegedly shipped on December 5, 2015 and I was told in a shipment confirmation email, as well as in ticket responses, that my package would arrive within 6-8 business days from the date of shipment. I went daily to the LightInTheBox site to track my package, assuming the tracking would be similar to that of FedEx, UPS, and USPS. It was not. In fact, there was no tracking information available until earlier this week (12/14/2015).
When the date for delivery came and went (12/12/2015) and I still had no package, I went to the LightInTheBox site to track my package, again. I submitted another ticket (4-5 in total) to LightInTheBox customer service, asking the same questions I had in each of them: 1) Why is there no useful information in the package tracking page? I'm only seeing a vague "package in transit from PostNL" on the tracking page. 2) Why can I not see every stop my package makes along its journey to my doorstep, to include date and time stamps? 3) When will my package actually arrive? (I assumed someone in customer service at this business would have enough sense to contact the delivery service on my behalf to find out what is going on with my package and to get accurate information for me about the status of my package and an accurate delivery date. That did not happen).
I was told numerous times by the customer service department that my package would arrive within "6-8 business days from date of shipment" and they only offered to reach out to the delivery service if my package did not arrive by December 16, 2015, which was about 4 days later than their estimated "6-8 business days." I NEVER got answers to my very specific questions. It's as if they utilize an email response system for customers that only states the most basic, generalized information to the customer. Then, before the customer can state whether or not they are satisfied with the response given by customer service at this business, the business closes the submitted ticket as "resolved," which is unacceptable.
Yesterday was December 16, 2015 - my package never arrived. So, I submitted yet another ticket and woke up today to a response in my email account stating that they finally reached out to the "delivery courier," and that the "delivery courier" had been "too busy" to get my package to me within the timeframe the company stated my package would be here. They refunded my $6.05 shipping fee without me asking for it and said that my package should arrive by December 26, 2015, the day AFTER Christmas!!! (I had told them numerous times in my tickets that this package was a Christmas present for a family member.) So, if my package truly shipped on December 5, 2015 (like the shipping confirmation email said), then why is it taking more than half a month to arrive to my doorstep?
I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the lack of helpful information in the "tracking" section of my order and the lack of useful assistance from the customer service department at this company!!! I got 4 emails from them with the same wording each time (the only difference was the signer of the email and a few sections of sentences here and there) that was incredibly - and dare I say purposefully - vague and generalized. This was my first time as a customer at LightInTheBox, and I am never going to purchase from them again. In fact, I am going to use word-of-mouth (and bad reviews) to tell everyone I know (as well as other consumers) not to do business with this company due to lack of appropriate business etiquette, as well as shadiness when dealing with the customer.
If a customer has an issue with not receiving a package when stated, most businesses get right on the ball with looking into why that is and doing whatever they can to satisfy the consumer. This company apparently does not do that. Customers are expected to wait indefinitely, with little to no information about their package. (As of today, I have no idea whether my package is in Syria, China, Germany, or the moon! I also have no idea where my package shipped from!). What I found incredibly telling - and was my first red-flag about this business - was the lack of tracking information regarding this package. At first, I had to reach out to customer service to ask why I could not open the "tracking" page, as it just "loaded" over and over, but never showed anything.
After reaching out the first time to ask about how to track the package, I was sent a link to "track" my package. This link didn't work either, so I reached out to the company again via an order ticket. Finally, on December 12th or 13th, I was finally able to view the "tracking" page, which only said "PostNL - package in transit." There is no phone number for either PostNL OR LightInTheBox that customers can use to contact the respective companies. This was another red flag.
I thought for sure I would be able to track my package along its journey to my door, similarly to FedEx, UPS, and USPS. With those companies, tracking is made very easy. Each stop the package makes with those companies is listed in their tracking information that is made available to the customer, such as date/time stamps and current location of the package at each stop (ie: City, State, Country). Another red flag for me is out of my 4-5 submitted tickets, only 2 tickets are showing on my account with this company!! Please do not order from this company, you will be very sorry you did!!!

I ordered sheets with Christmas motif. I got Roses! I ordered Christmas motif again, and complained, but told them that if the product would be right a second time I will keep the wrong sheets with the Roses. So certain that I would get my package with the right sheets I opened up the first package with the Roses and put in the washing machine, and they were **! They were not destroyed in the machine, I washed them in 30 degrees. And then the second package arrived! Roses AGAIN! Now I didn't opened up the product at all, but send it back as they required. Today the 16 December 2015 I got a message: "We will send you a new package with the right product!" I went up through the roof! I have already told them ten times that I want my money nothing else. So my recommendation is STRONGLY don't shop in LightInTheBox. And I live in SWEDEN Gothenburg. I consider that I have lost about 400 dollars including taxes.

I actually made a purchase of some clothes and a shoe from that website, but the quality is totally abhorrent. The wrist portion of the shirt looks so embarrassingly poor in quality; it's totally bulging out. Another shirt has a lot of black lines on the khaki portion and the clothes reek of the smell of machine oil; Singer oil. They costs around 13USD to 35USD. The fabric is totally made out of cheap plastic and it's even worse than nylon or polyester. As I remove those shirts out of the bag, bits and pieces of plastic were falling from the shirt. The clothes look as though they will tear apart anytime and has that cheap plastic look. It is so embarrassing to even possess them, much less to look at it and wear it.
The shoe is even worse. The inner sole totally slip out when I first try it on. The strap is so loose, scratch marks are all over the place, and the glue is smear all over. It's unbelievable how it can cost 50USD. The shoe totally does not look like what it is in the picture. It appears to look as though it's made of suede, but in fact it's made of imitation fur out of cheap plastic and feels like Styrofoam. I tried to RMA but they have totally went silent on it. After all that, I can only blame myself for buying cheap stuff thinking that they are of reasonable quality. I hope that people will not be fooled by the pictures on that website, and even the reviews are deceiving. All my reviews that are below 3 stars are immediately removed an hour after they are uploaded. I can't believe a monstrosity of this magnitude still exists in this time and age.

Faulty damaged goods and goods not as described. Was told they would rectify complaint and nothing has happened. The last item I ordered was sold to me as a dress, it's a very badly made skirt. Nothing like what I ordered!

Purchased a $20 off $50 Coupon on Cyber Monday LightInThebox Deals. Coupon never stated an expiration date. It never stated a "use by" date or time. My order continued to say "Pending" for days. In fact, it STILL says pending, even though Lightinthebox expired the coupon and returned my payment. After clicking on every link of my account, I finally found the "reward" as it is called, in the rewards section of my account. This was a coupon I purchased, it should never have been called a "reward" nor should it have ever been placed as a reward in the so called "reward" account. I never received an email stating the coupon was ready to use. Never received any email stating the coupon was actually a "reward" that needed to be used in "X" amount of days. As it turns out the "reward" expired in less than 48 hours and is no longer usable.
Customer service will not reissue the coupon, and has no desire to keep me as a future customer. Buying from this company takes forever to receive your order from China. The quality is poor. And one shoe is always bigger than the other. I cannot and will not recommend this company to anyone. More importantly, IF you do decide to purchase from this company and buy a coupon for a discount, make sure you look in your "rewards" account and use it immediately!

I ordered shipments from this website in November and received all but 1 item on this site. As compensation they promised to return money back into my PayPal account. Later I received a new ticket saying they are not allowed to give back my money. I am very upset as I do not want to have this happen to me again. This has been a long process and I have yet to see this credit in my rewards & credit section. If you get all your items then amazing, you are the lucky one. If you didn't and expect your money to come back, good luck. THIS WEBSITE IS TERRIBLE. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!

When I place the order with them there was no mention during checkout of the extra that might need to be paid in Vat and customs. I had to pay additional £29 to receive my package.

I've never done business with a business that hides themselves the way "LightInTheBox" does. You will never find a phone number for them. If you notice, you will never receive a physical address for them. If you want to return a product, they offer you something cheap to offset your loss. If you refuse, they will increase the offering until you accept it. You will never get a return authorization. As others, I cannot unsubscribe from their emails and now I am receiving them on my cell phone too. Piss poor business practices and I would never recommend them. The only reason they are getting 1 star is it is required to submit a reply.

I ordered a gorgeous dress with an 80% discount. I chose 3-5 day delivery. After 7 days I still hadn't received my dress. On their site the dress was still "to be shipped" on dec 5th, (one week past my event). I tried To call but there's no info to speak to a person. I created a ticket Nov 25th to cancel the order, and religiously checked everyday with no response. Today I go to their site and surprisingly they "shipped" my order! Not only that, but there's an answer to my ticket dated Nov 26th. THAT IS A LIE! They conveniently chose to NOT respond to my cancellation order until they shipped the dress and are pretending that they answered right away so they could say it's too late and keep my money. I don't even know if I'll get the dress. Save yourself money and disappointment! Shop somewhere else. Do not shop from this site!

Pathetic service delivery, empty promises and crooks, taking your money, not delivering a product and then not refunding you when you ask as you have to wait till the deadline of the second or third time's attempt at sending a parcel to you - that is what LightInTheBox offers. We ordered 5 separate parcels during the start of October and the longest waiting period is 20 work days. It is now almost December and after numerous emails ("tickets") I have now requested my money back and for them to then contact their couriers and get their parcels back from wherever it is in transit as it's not my problem any longer.
They do not want to give me my money back when I ask, as they say I must wait for the parcel. I find it pathetic to have to wait almost 2 months for parcels ordered, which was promised to be here within 10-20 work days. They keep making empty promises and moving up delivery dates, promising to send parcels again, when we have had enough time waiting and just want our money back. They are rude and crooks, if they want to keep money for items not delivered. They want to give us credit for our account to purchase again, but we never want to make use of their online shop again. The service is probably the worst from any online store we have ever used. My items alone are $77.50 and I would just like them to refund me without any more hassles.

I tried to contact customer service to make them aware that the quality of the material, sizing and overall appearance of the item was unacceptable. Once I realized the item came from China, I realized there was a reason for the inability to contact them. I believe they shouldn't be allowed to operate online and an investigation should be done on their selling and return practices. We have allowed too many organizations to defraud the American public. I'll just have to eat the $100.00. A lesson expensively learned.

Terrible customer service, unable to get an invoice, order still hasn't arrived after over 7 weeks, impossible to get a refund, overall incredibly poor experience. There is no email or phone number for the customer service -- instead you have to log into your account and keep refreshing daily to check for an answer there. To top it up they will spam you. Since I purchased something I have been receiving nearly daily promotional newsletters from them -- with no option to unsubscribe. So I've had to mark them as spam (needless to say, I never signed up to those mailings in the first place).

In October 10.21.2015 I bought over $180+ merchandise and want to return. Return process is unsuccessful, logging is always a problem. Customer service is BIG JOKE. No contact #, no email add. Can't get to Track Order because my account is not recognized and there is no trace of my order. Per company "Returned items will not be accepted without Corresponding Return Merchandise Authorization." Therefore customers like myself is stuck with unsatisfied, deficient products. I may dispute the charge with my credit card company but would rather resolve the issue through the company and return the items.

I ordered a dress in September. It came and no way was it the correct size, tried multiple times to correspond with this ??? whatever and they made every excuse - ie: they would pay some much to get it altered - not enough fabric to alter in the middle, top was way too larger. Would not refund my money. Could not get into website to communicate multiple times. I will definitely let it be known on Facebook that they are crooks and provide poor quality of clothing along with terrible customer service. It is sad that we allow these foreign jerks to make money off of USA.

Be very careful if you chose to shop at this company. I bought a NEW Lenovo A916 mobile phone from them and it did arrive according to the agreement, within 3-4 business days. But they send the phone from Hong Kong, instead of sending the phone from Poland, as promised by the customer service staff. European customers should have their items sent from the warehouse in Poland.
But it's neither NEW or in original condition as from factory. The firmware has been modified to work with other countries than just China. (This model is, according to Lenovo, only meant to be sold in China -- information that were not revealed before purchase.) Besides that, there has been added spyware, adware, keylogger and bloatware to the firmware so some cyber-criminal can spy on you, can get all your passwords and banking info, and it's not Lenovo that has modified the firmware, but some unknown third party.
Another evidence that this phone has been modified and is not original from Lenovo's factory -- LightInTheBox has added their own shopping apps -- LightInTheBox App and MinInTheBox App. Thereby this is NOT a NEW product and it's not allowed to be sold as such. Nonetheless that's exactly what the company has done!
Also, they have transported a product filled with spyware and modified firmware across international borders. It's no use to factory-reset the phone, since this just reinstalls the spyware, adware, bloatware or keylogger. It's implemented in the recovery too. When I asked for a replacement, they only gave 1 option for help -- they wanted me to send the phone to their warehouse in Poland, and claimed it were so they could examine it. I said, "No thanks," and demanded that they shipped a NEW CLEAN phone before the other one were returned to them.
I would not give them the opportunity to cover their tracks and destroy evidence before I receive a NEW, CLEAN phone. It's stated in their shipping document that their warehouse in Poland has no technical service, so how on earth would they be able to examine the phone in Poland, if they don't have any technicians?
Also, they wanted me to pay for the shipping to their warehouse. I said, "No thanks." Since the delivered product are not as indicated before purchase, it's the sellers responsibility to carry all cost of return, not the customers. That is EU and Danish law. Lightinthebox closed the Ticket I used to communicate with them, so I couldn't get in touch with them anymore, and then reopened it after my review at Truspilot.com, where they replied that I should contact them and they would help me. But they still don't answer when I ask them how they can help me. So stay away from this company. BTW: www.mininthebox.com is same company.

I ordered curtains in July from this site. When they arrived they were very poor quality so I returned them. I was informed I would have to pay £40 postage to return them to a warehouse in Poland. They confirmed in writing that they would refund the postage. I have still not received a refund for my postage, I have followed all their instructions to request money from PayPal. I try communicating with them however the only method is via Facebook. It's a total scam. I know I will never see my money, however the site should be SHUT DOWN so no more people lose money this way.

I ordered a Halloween costume from them on 10/21/2015 and had it expedited shipped. They charged my bank card on 10/22/2015. As of 10/26/2015, I still had received no confirmation of any kind from their website of the payment going through (but they money was debited from my account) nor did I receive any updates about the order confirmation, processing, or shipping. I continuously logged on to check for updates but just kept seeing it was being "processed." It said online orders took 3 - 4 days to be processed. After 5 days, on 10/26/2015, I attempted to contact customer service, by clicking on the order link (as the state to do) only to get numerous responses telling me to do this:
"1. Please log in your account and click on the related order number. 2. Scroll down the order detail page and find the link *ask about custom duties*. 3. Click the link and choose others in the reason, then write down your requests, then 'next' and then click 'submit'. You will get reply from the customer service dept within 1 working day. And you will get a ticket ID later for you to track in My Tickets in your account."
They provide NO WAY TO CALL.This website is a SCAM. So I can't call, and now the order is not even showing up and I have been charged for it. This is a Halloween costume that I paid 20 dollars extra to ship expedited. There is no way to talk to a human and they just send random / unrelated customer service messages. NEVER order from this website.

On the 19 Aug 2015 I requested a refund on the two dresses amount of $172.86 as they are too large. On 8 Sept, I only received part of refund of $24.42 via Paypal. They explained to me the rest of $148.56 will take 7-25 days as I paid by credit card. I kept waiting and checking my bank account but I received nothing as of 22 Oct. Now they have removed me from the communication channel, I have no way to further communicate.

In July 2015, I bought over $200+ of shoes and handbags from this company. Return process is unsuccessful. Logging in is always a problem. Customer service is big joke: no contact #, no email add. Can't get to Track Order because of the above issues. Per company "Returned items will not be accepted without corresponding Return Merchandise Authorization." Therefore, customers like myself is stuck with unsatisfied, deficient products. I am beginning to think that this company is a scam.

I ordered from this website three days ago and ordered my product with fast shipping. It said that the fast shipping took 3 to 5 days to get here, but I can tell you that that is a lie. I checked the status of my order and it said it would arrive on November 5th, which is not in time for when I needed the outfit. That is almost 2 weeks after when I ordered it so that fast shipping is just a hoax. I quickly cancelled the order and they have said they will give me a full refund of the purchase, but I doubt that will happen. In conclusion, DON'T ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE!!! I could have bought a sewing machine, grown the cotton myself, and made the outfit on my own without having to deal with this mess of a company.

I purchased a veil ($25), a jewel comb ($5) that attaches to the veil as it did not come with one, and a tiara ($28) on October 1st 2015. I was able to get the shipment today October 17. I actually read the review for this website after I already placed the order, and I was quite worried about the long shipping time and the quality. So in terms of time, I would rate it 5/5 because it did say it will arrive 10-20 days. The veil was very good! It only costs $25, whereas a similar veil at David's Bridal that I liked costs $245 when I went in last month. In terms of the tiara, it looked pretty, but 2 jewels already came off. It wasn't that noticeable. HOWEVER, it was NOT the tiara I ordered!!! So I sent in a "wrong item ticket" today, and hopefully they can do something about that. All in all, I would still rate it 4/5 overall because I still saved $200 on a veil. The tiara at David's Bridal was similar to the incorrect one they went me, but that costs $200.

I ordered a cake topper for my wedding that is in 4 weeks! I ordered the product over a month ago and just received it! The product came in a small white envelope and not even wrapped properly. If I knew the product was coming from China I would have never ordered it. Now I have a broken cake topper that I can't even use for my wedding and don't have time to order a new one! I'm so upset with this company and nowhere to call anyone to speak to them. Don't order anything from this company!

I BOUGHT A QUADCOPTER UDI U818A AND I GOT IT WITHOUT CAMERA. I wrote review on seller page and they delete it. I ask them to verify other sites that sell this UDI model and see that should came with a camera and after 2 weeks, they told me that the UDI model U818A, it comes without camera. Totally not true. I tried to write another review on seller page but if you don't rate it with 4-5 stars, they will delete it.

Whenever I see a company that has products that interest me, I will usually place a small order to see what their service is like. Thank God I did with this company!
The item I ordered, a Potato Express Microwave potato baking bag, is advertised to ship in 24 hours. I ordered it on July 29, 2015 and in my order confirmation email I was told that it would ship by August 18, with no mention of the advertised 24 hours. Not having received anything a month after placing my order I contacted customer service and was told that it should ship in a short while. This didn't actually ship until September 5, 2015, a total of thirty seven days after I placed the order. I finally received it on October 3, 2015, a total time period of nine and one half weeks.
When I finally received this item the product box had been opened on the ends and flattened out and folded, with the item inside of it, so that it would fit into a small plastic bag about half the size of the original box, and the instruction/recipe booklet that was supposed to be included was missing. Also, this is now selling for thirty cents less than it was at the time that I ordered it.

I ordered a homecoming dress and instead of sending my measurements for a custom made dress, I ordered a US 12 although according to their chart should be plenty of room to expand and dance. I paid with Paypal and ordered the standard size so I could hopefully get the dress quicker as it said 7-9 days. I received over 20 days later. So tight that I've had to drink water and no salt for three days before it even zip. No way I can dance in this.
I emailed to return due to inaccurate size, and I was requested to send a picture of me in the dress with measuring tape around my bust! Really? I did send a picture without measuring tape of my back with cleavage. :( They still won't accept and say that it was custom made just for me. Finally, they agree for me to send back and after I pay shipping they will send me 70% or keep it and refund $22 or $33 reward. The bad part is I ordered a hat that supposed matched and it doesn't, plus I have that cost as well. The shoes, dress and hat are low quality. I wish I had seen this site as I believe they must screen out bad reviews on their site.

This was one of the worst business experiences ever. I ordered this product 8/17/15. Several weeks later item still didn't show up so I checked the tracking only to find out that it never left. I contacted customer service and they only THEN on 9/19/15 they decided to tell me that the item "Was now out of stock" and that in the NEW shipping date would be 9/27/15. They said that my shipping would be "slightly delayed" due to high demand. So I just decided not to worry about it and wait, oh well why make a fuss about something small right? Thought wrong. I log in today to see that on 9/21/15 they emailed me saying the item will not ever be restocked and that I will only receive store credit of my purchase.
This is business oversells product they know they don't have in stock, ignores that problem and you for a month, then tries to keep your money at the end of it all. I would give this product and this company 0 stars if possible. DEFINITELY avoid this business and be sure to let any competitors review boards and potential buyers know that they are a predatory pseudo-business and to not to waste their money here.

Ordered an item to arrive within 3-5 working days. After a week told not in stock. Then told it had been posted. Item has never arrived. Kept waiting 2 months for an item that will never be delivered. Kept being told to be patient. Requested refund. Told to wait up to a further 25 days!!! This is illegal. No company address is given. No telephone number. Can only complain by raising a ticket! This company appears to be based in China and is a con. They take your order, do not supply the goods, and don't give you your money back. Do not use this company! It is a complete con!

We have ordered some items from LightInTheBox.com, from Denmark. They deducted the money from our credit card, but they never shipped the items and now there is no way to contact them. Ordered bulbs which were advertised on their website. They took nearly a month to process them and when they arrive some were the incorrect type. They did replace them eventually. I ordered another lot of bulbs but I had to cancel order because after a month they had not even processed the order. I got my refund so that was no problem. However, I have a problem with online sellers that advertise goods for sale but obviously do not have the stock to supply. Never use this people again. Steer clear away from them.

On Aug 25 I bought a watch from LightInTheBox. I paid by PayPal immediately. Although my payment is confirmed by PayPal next day, they didn't ship the watch till Sep 14. On Sep 23 I send complaint to them because of the delay. Their reply is as follows: "Your order was shipped out via Sunyou Mail-Sunyou on 2015-09-14. The reference number is **. This number is merely a serial number which cannot be used to track your package online. Our most economical shipping method does not support tracking services. It usually takes 10-20 working days (14-28 days) for the package to arrive. So it's normal that you still haven't received the package because it's still in transit. However, if you do not receive your order by 2015-10-12, please contact us as soon as possible. We will then contact the courier for you. We thank you for your understanding in this matter. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions."

Ordered online a homecoming dress... We checked size chart and a large would fit, but we went with the extra large just to be safe. The XL is SO SMALL! Now I asked to return or exchange and was told it was made to order and can be off by .5". What a horrible business!!! Make dresses any size and screw the customer!!!

I ordered 3 pairs of dancing shoes on 7 September. On 19 September the order was processing. I sent an email to the business and on 20 September I received a response stating that my issue has been resolved. On 20 September, the status of my order was marked "shipped" and 3-5 days delivery. So far, it's been 13 days and I still have not received the product. If I don't see the product by 24 September, I will contact PayPal and dispute the charges. Please note that the products that I ordered are coming from China; something that I did not know when I ordered from the website.

I ordered two iPhone cases for a price of around $20 on 24/8/15. I have waited but have not received anything yet. When I went to look under "My Orders" there was nothing even though they have taken my money. There is no email or phone number to contact them so I pretended to order something else and did any enquiry stating my problem. The first answer was obviously computer generated and told me to track the order under "My Orders." No one could have read this email as I had already complained that there was nothing under "My Orders" to track. I replied by saying there was nothing under "My Orders" but to date have not had any reply and by the looks of it I probably won't get one. This company is a scam. Stay away from this online mail ordering catastrophe. I purchased online and the items duly came without any fuss (sooner than I had anticipated) but what I received was so utterly disappointing. The quality of the fabric, and the terrible construction were completely the opposite of what I thought I was purchasing from the online photos. The sizing (now I'm a biggish girl so went on plus size... and ordered XXL). They are the equivalent of a UK size 10. If this Chinese company are going to market to the west, make clothes of good quality and with correct sizing. I can't even be bothered with this company by returning the items, I am going to throw them out as they are just awful. DO NOT USE THIS RIPOFF COMPANY!!!

I ordered two bathing suits a month in advance for Vegas on Aug.13! I also ordered a body chain a few minutes later. The body chain was shipped Aug. 20 and I did receive it last week and they also sent me a email to let me know it was shipped. However, the two bathing suits I ordered first have yet to come in. I have waited and waited and I have no email confirmation that it was shipped or no USA tracking number. There is no real contact number. I gave them the benefit of a doubt, but then they changed the shipped date from Aug. 23 to the 24th. So I leave for Vegas tomorrow and I have no bathing suits.

Order dresses for function on the 2 August 2015. Said shipping date would be 5 September 2015. Only to be informed that processing time will be 29 September 2015. I actually live in Australia & currently in Malaysia for my husband's work.. I had asked for full refund but to no avail.. I had used this company last year & had a similar issue with sizing. I purchased a household item. I paid for express delivery which was within 5 days. It is already 10 days past that date and they told me it would be another 20 days due to unexpected business rise. They refused to refund my money or my payment for express delivery. Said I cannot cancel. I already filed a scam report with my cc company regardless of what they said. This company is a scam. Endless issues with this company based in China. First a word of caution: DO NOT order what you THINK is your normal size because their U.S. sizing is about 5 sizes too small. I ordered a bridesmaid's dress for my daughter (normal size 14) in April. The dress was received in May, and when she tried it on, it literally would not zip past her waist. We then re-ordered the same dress, with specific measurements for her, and prayed it would come in time for the wedding (Another note: even though you have NO CHOICE BUT to pay for expedited shipping, their five days apparently starts once it leaves their warehouse, which could be WEEKS after your order.).
I then began the ENDLESS PROCESS of returning the first dress. Their website is a maze of ridiculousness--no phone number to call, no real contact us with problems area, etc. You have to open a Ticket for your order and wait for someone to answer. I was first told that each dress is made to order, even if you order a normal size, and cannot be returned. Oh no, wrong answer, you know you took it off a rack and shipped it to me! After haggling back and forth, I was told that they would refund me 70% of the price, minus a 30% restocking fee and postage to mail it back. I waited until I received the second dress before sending the first one back, in case it did not arrive in time, we would at least have the first one to try and work with.
OK, second dress arrives. It looks a mess, like someone in sewing school put it together, wrinkled, etc. Daughter tries it on and it's now TOO BIG in the same area that is was too small before! We then take it to a tailor and pay $50 MORE to have it altered. What we did not notice until the day of the wedding was that it had a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COLOR sash from the rest of the bridesmaids, who also ordered their dresses from this place! It looked as if the original sash was ripped off, possibly during alteration, and this thing sewn on clumsily. We still had to tape her into the dress because of the poor fit.
I received a message on my ticket that they received my returned dress on 8/6 and would process a refund within five business days. Well, knowing what THEIR idea of five business days was, I figured it would be awhile before I saw a refund (they are sure quick enough to take your money though!). It is now 8/21 and I have yet to receive anything. In the meantime, they closed the ticket I had open for this issue and I had to navigate that stupid site again to open ANOTHER ONE to ask where the hell my refund was.
I also made the mistake of ordering MY mother of the bride dress from there. I was smart and ordered UP two sizes (it was big in the bust, but wearable). The dress arrived, I opened the bag it was in and almost vomited from the stench of FISH on this beautiful dress! I immediately went online to see if anyone else had ever experienced this issue, and found that sometimes when items are shipped from China, they are sprayed with a pesticide so that no critters hitch a ride to the states. The advice was to let it hang in the open air for a week and the smell will dissipate.
Uh, NO. I had the dress hanging in my garage, in open windows, outside, etc. for WEEKS and it still stunk. I used Febreze liberally on it still stunk. I left a message on the review I did of the dress asking what I could do about this because it was HIGHLY OFFENSIVE and disgusting!! No one ever answered me, big surprise. At my wits end, the week before the wedding, I took it to a dry cleaner. When I got it back, the smell was lessened, but STILL THERE. I wore it anyway, praying no one could smell it.
Another interesting note: Watch your account on their site carefully, because they randomly change the "Order Date" to make it later than when you actually ordered it. My guess is that is in case there are issues with timing, they can point to that and say you ordered it later than you actually did. Bottom line and lesson learned, do NOT order from LightInTheBox or ANY online company, especially overseas when it comes to an important occasion like a wedding. I have read very unfavorable ratings of this company, some going as far as to call it a scam. After my terrible experiences with them, I tend to agree. And still no refund. UPDATE: refund received on 8/24/15.

I bought over $2000+ of lighting supplies from this company based on its product review, now regret it with no one to get help from. Problems: No service for any return or product deficiency. I mean 0 service. Bulbs cannot be replaced in the US because it is a size only used in China. Some lights would stop working after a few days. Some lights will glow 24/7. 40% lights I bought in Sept 2014 cannot be used. The company raised their price by 40%. The company delete negative product reviews, as a result most reviews are 4 and 5 stars. Very scary experience.

I purchased a 3 bundles of weave for LITB. I ordered it on 4/08/15. The shipping date was 11/08/15. It is now 13/08/15. It's takes about 3-5 days to arrive? But whenever I check my account it still says, processing. I'm getting really worried because I feel like I've been scammed? I have lost my hair due to chemotherapy treatments. I purchased 6 wigs from Light In the Box, thinking 'why not'... Different day, different look. I FINALLY received the order yesterday (I've been waiting 3+ weeks). The quality is so desperately poor. I am absolutely floored. It's a joke - The colors are wrong, the styles are wrong. It appears as though they have lifted photographs from other reputable products and attached those photos to their low-quality items. Attempting to contact customer service was a joke. The international return shipping costs are high, and then there is still no guarantee that they will accept the return and issue a refund. Lesson well learned! Don't waste your time or your money. Contrary to what most people seem to find, LightInTheBox has actually been quite reliable for me. My mother frequently orders special occasion dresses from there for us and we're always happy with the quality and the option to buy custom sizing since our proportions usually don't fit with the usual sizes and we'd have to get them tailored, which would cost much more than the amount for custom sizing. I've never had a problem with not being able to get in contact with customer service and they are usually very helpful in answering my questions.
While shipping is usually not the fastest, this is the case for most online retail sites and as such you simply have to wait patiently for your item. I bought a shirt on the site and it was true to the description. The material is very nice and comfortable. I will continue ordering from this site. However as with any sites with international shipping, you do have to watch out for your packages being waylaid by government duties etc.

As with the other complaints I did not get the expedited shipping I paid for so the dresses did not arrive on time. I did however get my items but it was almost a joke. The quality was like something I would have made in 6th grade home-ec classes. Horrible! I am very disappointed with this site's lack of customer service. They should be required to state on their site an ordering page so that consumers know they don't have a customer service to take care of their orders if there are problems. I ordered a dress and several other items I needed for a beach wedding and photo shoot this weekend. I paid for expedited shipping & paid through Paypal. Every time I checked online for my order it kept saying "Pending" but without any explanation or link to follow up on. I contacted customer service several times to find out what pending meant and what the status of my expedited order was.
I never received an email or phone call from their company regarding any problems with the order. And I only received a couple of generic replies to my service requests that gave directions on how to check the order online, which is what I had been doing without any notifications or reasons for delay from the company and with absolutely no way to contact the company by phone to talk to someone even though their site states there are reps in 27 different languages to help. Well, I never received any help from the company on my order and I needed it today! I also gave my complete phone number twice to my customer service inquiries and asked that someone please call me so I could find out what to do & no one called ever! Today I logged on and someone on their site changed the pending to pending with a question mark that when I dragged over it said payment incomplete.
Now, I never received any notice from Paypal that there was a problem or from the company, so there was nothing I could do to take care of it in a timely manner. Basically, this shows they do not have a true customer service department or follow through with request from customers to explain the problem or even call since they do not provide any type of a phone number for customers to call. All consumers should be made aware of this type of service so they can fully understand they will not be able to contact the company for help or receive a direct reply for help on orders. This is quite different from most online companies, so they should make this information known on their site so people know when they are ordering they will not be able to speak with anyone, or even get a direct reply in email at the very least!

I have been shopping with LightInTheBox for several years but the past year has been nothing but a disaster. If you place an item into your shopping basket and a few days later you return to view the basket you will find an great increase in price on this item. For example a top that was showing at a reduced price from $112.00 (way overrated) showing as special selling price $21.67 but after sitting in your shopping basket for a few days it has increased to $222.50, this is the amount I would have needed to pay. When you bring this to the attention of their customers service they have no clue what you are taking about. Their price increase takes place after you have it selected and placed in your shopping basket. Be aware way overrated pricing and item most time is junk with a 30 plus day shipping. Not able to make attachment of invoice - would not allow.

Please help consumers of these companies all affiliated with LightInTheBox.com address. I have contacted my local BBB AND ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE BUT I am ASKING FOR CONSUMER AFFAIRS TO HELP AS WELL. I ordered from them and have yet to receive. Or get a response. They have no way to contact them. I went in circles since my order just to send and email or find a way to do so. They have no physical telephone numbers for anyone of their inthebox sites. Lots of ppl complaining about this which not having any phone number contact is completely unacceptable especially when they ask for all your detailed info when placing an order which is not unusual.
But what is unusual is there is no way of contacting them in return. If I had known this I would definitely not have placed an order. The websites are all deceiving because each one has what people think is a contact number link to them when ordering but quickly realize it's not and there is no way to contact them. By the time they realize it the company has taken your money with no way of consumers to defend themselves leaving them helpless to do anything and are at this company's mercy to hopefully fulfill their responsibility but from the reviews of them quickly reminds you it won't happen.

I ordered a evening gown from this site during their sale. On the product description, it claims to have a processing and shipping date of 10 business days. I made the purchase using my VISA credit card on July 2. A few days later, I noticed that there were 2 orders on the same dress, so I decided to cancel one of them to prevent getting the same order twice. However, after doing so, customer service told me that I hadn't paid for the other order (the one I kept) even though the order form itself said payment received. On top of that, my credit card was billed the same day.
This "company" has no customer service phone number, nor any method of contacting except for opening a ticket for help. Even then, when I asked them to confirm that I had indeed paid for the dress already, they merely said that I hadn't. There was no proof from their end on what they see and I screenshotted the order form and my bank statement showing them I see that I had paid for the dress. Up till now, they still refuse to refund me, and the dress has yet to be shipped in time for a wedding.

This company does not accurately represent either the financial obligations of the purchase nor the quality of the goods. We ordered a painting, the colours of which appeared to go with our new decor. After paying (1) the initial freight and shown costs, and (2) VAT as required by Customs that we could not calculate using any combination of values, and (3) additional freight from the UK parcel company, we paid £108 for a £58 item. In addition, the painting is absolutely horrible. It looks like a child smeared primary colours over it and I'll be embarrassed to display it in our home. If I could return it for full value, including all the additional freights, etc., I would do so. Think I'll try to put it on eBay and recover a bit of our expense. We waited over a month for this painting and I could not be more disappointed. Want to warn anyone else to avoid this company.

They've defined every garment as "made to order" even if you order one in a standard size and do not submit any personal measurements. I spent $202 on a dress which looked horrible on me and was way too revealing to wear to the wedding I was attending. When I tried to return it, they declared it 'made to measure' and offered to send me $34 as a "special offer." This is simply a scam.

I was nervous to order from this company after reading some of the reviews, but took the chance, and my dress is PERFECT. It is exactly what I hoped. The color is what I expected, the size is true to the charts they provided (runs small compared to American dress shops, so use the charts), the length is correct, and it shipped early. I made a ticket asking about the delay, and they only said that they have many orders and can't ship my items in time. I am a reseller and almost all my orders cancelled because of that delay, I lost almost 430 USD. I made purchases before on many online stores, and this is the first time this happened to me. I ordered an HDMI V1.3 Male to 3RCA Video Audio AV Cable (1.5 M) from LightInTheBox.com to teach my son how to program his new Raspberry Pi, that I got from another retailer, because the local supplier said that it would be a few weeks before they got one in, and I was trying to do it so my son could show it off before school ended. I placed the order on May, 28th. Paid for the 3-5 day express shipping. It is now June 3rd and it still says, "PROCESSING." When I inquired about the status of my order, I was directed to the Shipping Methods Guide on their website. It is now June 8th and it still says, "PROCESSING."
When I inquired on the status of my order I get, "We're sorry that your order will be slightly delayed due to unexpected high demand. We have checked with our supplier. Your order will be shipped out within 1-2 weeks. It will be shipped any time in the next 1-2 weeks." That got me thinking and I googled a portion of their Shipping Methods Guide and the results are, that this is not the only site they are doing this on. They also have www.LightInTheBox.com, www.softsilker.com, https://www.greatfunsite.com, www.kingsofshoes.com, www.oksobuy.com, https://www.everydayvaluesclub.com, & www.my-cashrewards.com. Needless to say, my son is now out of school for the summer, the cable I ordered is STILL not here, and all I am getting from Lightinthebox.com are generic apology letters that I have to go onto their site to even know if the ticket has been responded to. Out money, out time, and out the merchandise.

I have had seven shipments from this business with the first being 11/29/2014 of last year that I have yet to receive. They will sometimes give a credit but not always for full amount of product. The most received order was 20 days late and It's sized way too small that I ordered for 13-year-old and gave to my 10 yr old and even then so cheap it tore in 4 places first wash.

After reading some the product reviews I am afraid I will not get my money back. I saved up for this dress. I work part-time and money is hard to come by. I am hoping that they will return my monies back without any problems. I welcome any resolutions.

I ordered gifts for my bridal party on April 30, 2015 and today is June 1st 2015 and I have yet to receive my stuff. Went I wrote the ticket and asked them where my stuff was, 1st I was told there was a delay and when I contacted them the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th time I was told it has been shipped. I contacted them again and asked "when will I receive my stuff?" I was told I will get it by the 25th of June and my wedding is the 13th of June. I will never order from them again and I will not refer anyone to them. This is a scam and I'm so upset.

The dress measurements were wrong. I paid return shipping to have it altered but it was still wrong (I don't think they altered it at all). It took 2 months of asking for the dress back before another wrong sized one was sent. They asked for pictures to determine wrong size and refund but then refused after pictures were provided. Every possible "solution" they offered required me to spend more money. Buyer BEWARE!

Must say the shower system really quite beautiful BUT fittings not for metric or American systems. Further instructions were meager to say the least, there was no information this system was not designed for westernized plumbing fittings, and no information of maker of system to contact. After 2 very frustrating months of trying to find fittings in this country or trying to have LightInTheBox reply to requests for information if there were such parts we could order to install system to American plumbing no response or responses were vague and off topic.
Finally after began to read complaints from others with the same problems then realized what we needed was to order a certain type of adapter. Then spent extra money ($10.34) for so-called expedited delivery of adapters but they did not arrive for 7 days. Still need to make adjustments even with adapters. Given the vagueness, the fact there was no warning the system was not for American plumbing, and that paid extra for fittings that didn't arrive for a solid week I will NEVER use the site again.

LightInTheBox has one of the best customer services ever. Any problem you may face, they solve it in less than 24 hours, and they always make you happy. I bought a necklace from this site, and when I received it, it was good and exactly as in the description. Moreover LightInTheBox items always get in the perfect shape, because they package the items well. I once bought an item and when I received it, it was broken. I told them and they asked me for a photo. I sent the photo and they refund me directly. Shopping on LightInTheBox is very nice and interesting, and you always feel secure that whatever happens wrong they are there to help you, and you won't lose your money.

While I placed an online order, there was no information or indication that I will be charged additional amount for customs clearance. Also the delivery time showed for 3-5 business days. DHL came at my doorstep at a delayed date with the product and asked for an additional $41.67 for custom clearance. I refused to pay the additional amount and so DHL went back without delivering.
There is no way to contact LightInTheBox by phone or email. The only option is to create a ticket on their website. So I created a ticket. The customer service replied my ticket mentioning that the custom clearance cost is clearly written in their Knowledge Book, and that I should have read their Knowledge Book before I purchased. I also came to know from DHL that the product was shipped from China. LightInTheBox is a Chinese scam company located somewhere in China. Never ever buy any product from them.

The item purchased from this company is not only NOT true to size but a very poor fabric choice and the presentation of the item was very misleading. There is no way to return the item and no one to speak to. This company should be removed from the internet. I am a 48 suit I ordered and double X large and my nephew who is a 40 cannot fit it.

I bought several hundred dollars worth of lighted faucets from LightInTheBox a few years ago. Most failed within a few weeks. I tried to purchase replacement lighting elements from them but all they offered was to sell me new faucets. I tried to buy lighting elements from other vendors on the web but the size of the elements from LightInTheBox were so small I could not find replacements. I've never heard of a company refusing to sell spare parts for their products. I will never buy anything from them again and encourage others not to do so as well. They are really stupid people.

Never had problems with this site. True - with any such online retailer you have to exercise caution when ordering online, especially knowing that sizes in different countries do not match. I had. I checked and double-checked, and so far, everything I ordered was OK. Sizing of all the stuff I bought (dance shoes for myself and my dance group mates, dresses, panties) was true to described (if you measure according to instructions) and fit me properly. Arrived within expected time (super-saver shipping takes 21 to 30 days to arrive to Toronto, no extra dues though were charged. Express was on time too, but duties were charged, combined with the shipping fees - half of the product's price, but still MUCH cheaper than retail).
Quality of the dress and other pair was OK for the price - don't expect some super-duper designer item for 20 bucks, IMHO. The last pair of shoes I ordered felt snug and comfortable on the feet, colour and look of the shoes is exactly the way they were depicted as well: nice regular dance shoes. No defects found on arrival, looks like good craftsmanship (hopefully, they last) - consider excellent for the price paid (around CAD26 including delivery - to compare, for my previous 'no frills' shoes I paid CAD60). My only negative remark is that it took a while each time to process the order - from 2 to 6 days. But it was leveraged by given promo bonus.

I didn't know before about LightInTheBox. In my misfortune I've set 2 orders by LightInTheBox, the first on the 15.05.2015 ** and the payment was done with my PayPal account. I've set a second order ** two days later (17.05.2015) and paid it with the Visa card of my girlfriend. LightIntheBox wrote me to verify whether I'm the owner of the Visa card or whether there is a consent of the owner that I found very OK. They require a photo of the identity card of the owner and also a photo of the Visa card that I sent them.
First, when I log to check my both orders, the first one is still in process since May 2015, the 15th. We are 21.05.2015 today and let's expect that I receive them in maximum 10 days!!! (I've paid so that I can receive the order between 6 and 8 days). Second, the last order is marked "cancelled" since I've sent them the required documents (photos of I.D card of my girlfriend and of the visa card). What drove me crazy for some days before I found this site, dealing about LightInTheBox. I wrote them, explaining and asking but no answer since today!!!
I receive only in my box such advertising: They have new furnitures and I'm supposed to be interested in!!! Can someone help me to make things going better by LightInTheBox??? There's also something very very wrong because my first order was not done on the 20.05.2015 as the software of LightInTheBox mentions it but on 15.05.205 (five days earlier).

I had ordered online and got a confirmation as my credit card was deducted with the amount of the product. I received an email stating the order date which was 25MARCH'15 and the shipment date which was 26MARCH. It's been almost 2 months now and I haven't received my shipment. I now believe this is a fraud company. Please do not get carried away by the low prices and products.

I ordered two shape wear items from this website. I chose expedited mail because I needed them for a wedding I was going to. I did not receive them for over a week and I paid $26.95 for expedited service (two days). So I did not have them for the wedding after all. When I finally did receive the items I could tell they were not going to fit just by looking at them (I even used the chart they provided to order the right size - apparently the items do not run true to size). I emailed them inquiring how to return the items. There is no customer service number to call, which should have been a red flag right there.
It took them a week to get back to me to tell me they were going to look into it. It took them another additional two weeks to get back to me saying that they were sorry but I could not return these items because they were personal care items and they could not be returned. I have never had a problem returning items (even swimsuits from other sites). After reading some of the other reviews I can see that it's not just me and It doesn't matter what you order they will still not accept returns. I wish I had know this before ordering these items. I plan to report them to the BBB. Hopefully it will stop others from getting ripped off.

On 4/26/2015 I ordered 4 screen art tee shirts that my brother picked out for his birthday. All 4 were ordered as Men's XXL. I was not aware that I was buying from a company outside of the U.S. When I went to the website to check the status of my order, there was no way to contact the company -- no phone, no email, no online chat. My package finally arrived on 5/16/2015 and I gave the package to my brother (belated birthday gift). Today I saw what was shipped. The shirts MAY fit a small child, but none are Men's XXL, although the packing slip indicates that is indeed what was ordered. I don't even think the shirts will fit me, and I'm a petite woman! This site needs to be SHUT DOWN!!

I got ripped off. None of the clothes I ordered fit, they are too small and very low quality, woman hand bags very cheesy plastic looking, not the color I ordered. I were fooled by the pictures. The earrings falling apart after first wear. Impossible to contact customer service. The products made in China, not in Japan as some of the reviewer wrote. My conclusion: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CHINA.

I will bite my tongue on using profanity. I haven't receive my order yet and hopefully I can cancel it before it's too late. I wish I had read the reviews first because someone stole my info and tried to order some shoes. Moreover, the site states that it's free shipping but once you're at the point of payment, that's when you learn that you have to pay for s&r. This is some bull. Amazon is free and you get your merchandise in 2 or 3 days. I will not pay $11.00 and wait a month for garbage. I went back to the LightInTheBox site and I can't find the cancellation tab. We should file a class action suit. To make matters worse we can't contact the people who we are giving our credit info to. Wow!!!

I placed an order for personalized table numbers for my daughter's wedding on 5/17/15. I paid an EXTRA $15.00 for 2-3 delivery. The item itself was only $12.99. I was NEVER told that there would be a 6-8 processing period BEFORE the order was shipped. Upon checking the status the next day I noticed it said "delivery date 5/21/15. How ridiculous is THAT considering the item was to have the wedding date imprinted on it? When I cancelled the order I was sent an email saying that I would be charged at 50% fee to cancel. I have NEVER dealt with a business practice like this. Why didn't they contact me when they saw the wedding date if they couldn't deliver until 4 days after the wedding?

So far I ordered a winter jacket, some jewelry and a watch and I love them. The jacket fits me really nice and it's well made. Thinner than expected but it looks like it will keep me quite warm. Be prepared to wait for the shipment though if you select super saver shipping. It can be quite deceiving. I don't think it will ever be correctly estimated. I don't really blame them for the time it took for the orders to get to me. If this problem happens with expedite shipping then I would understand the complaints, but super saver shipping is not as reliable so I already expected it to be late. Didn't like the wait but I understood. All in all I am satisfied with the things I bought and with this company.

I have ordered several times from LightInTheBox a few times. I was unsatisfied and my money was returned and when I had to pay extra fees for international shipping I was given a coupon credit to spend. I really love this site. But when I ordered my bridesmaid dresses the one I ordered for my mom was so huge. She can't wear it and I tried to have them change the size and they were going to charge me double to change it. So now I have to pay to have it altered.

I ordered a nice necklace for my daughter and it came in looking better than expected. It was much cuter and she loves it. It will make a great addition to her Luffy cosplay!! To be honest I have been ok with LightInTheBox. I will say the delivery side of things takes a long time. The items I have purchased have been as described. The only fault I can find with the company is it is very hard to resolve a problem with them, as very hard to try and communicate when I cannot find anywhere on the website to click on. When I receive my items there is no invoice or returns label and it would cost a lot of money to return your item.

I purchased quite a few garments, shoes and jewelry from LightInTheBox. I have found their products of good quality and I was very pleased with most of their products. I wanted to return some of the garments (smaller size) and contacted LightInTheBox who promptly emailed me with return instructions. I decided against returning the garments as they were really good value for money and will gift them to my niece. I received all my purchases during the prescribed period. I will continue shopping with them.

When I ordered, I paid for expedited shipping. The company said it would arrive Wednesday-Friday (May 5-7). No arrival on Friday, checked the website... it hasn't even shipped & said it would arrive Saturday. It's Saturday, no order & NOW the website says it will arrive Tuesday afternoon. From all of the comments, I'm better off selling the skirt once it arrives (which evidently could be months) to pay for the one I'll have to buy in the meantime. Kiss that money goodbye!

I saw that black and white dress on this website. It was pretty. I immediately went to the details of the dress. They stated that the fabric is high quality, this and that. Then I ordered it. First, it took forever to arrive, two whole months. Then when I got it, I was so angry. I immediately went on their website to look for their phone number. They have absolutely no contact information. I trashed the dress. The dress was like the tailor was sleeping when he or she got it done. And the fabric was like EWWW!!! Those people are hustlers. They don't put any contact information for a reason. I am still angry and this business should shut down. That's really wrong of them. Their prices sound too good to be true. Beware of these monsters!

On the 16th of March 2015, I ordered a dress. Within 24 hours I cancelled my order. The 140 euro was taken from my account and to this very day (8th May 2015), I have neither received the dress or my money back. I have emailed LightInTheBox and have received no answer or recognition.

I ordered on Jan. 30 a blouse size XL based on the size chart. It arrived in 5 days but was so small I couldn't even get into it. I normally wear a M. Trying to contact the moon would be easier than this company! No phone number on site... EMAIL ONLY. I needed an RM number before return is authorized in order to receive a refund. After jumping through numerous hoops to send them an email and 5 days later, I finally received a reply and a shipping address. The package was returned to them on the 13th of Feb. It's now May 1st, I have yet to receive a refund. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY!

After reading these horrific reviews I decided to cancel my order, placed 12 hours ago. They are very quick to take your money, unlike the usual custom of waiting until they ship your order, they take it immediately!! I would not be surprised if I have to wait a very long time to receive my refund. Once received it will be in the form of a credit, and I have to go through another step to have it transferred back onto my payment card. Also nothing on their FAQ's about how long it takes to process a refund due to a cancellation, only due to returns. I will just have to wait and see, not too happy at the lack of information, or reassurance from this company. My one star may seem harsh, but I guess I've been spoilt by my high expectations from years of shopping at Amazon.

I ordered from LightInTheBox and am EXTREMELY disappointed. My order was late, yes, but the real problem started when I opened the package. The two scarves and pair of leggings I ordered are the serious problem. These pieces of clothing smell so badly of chemicals that they are unwearable. More than the smell, I am terrified to put these clothes on my body because of the smell (what is in the fabric????). I have washed all of them at least 3 times over with no success. To make it worse, when I had taken them out of my package, the phone rang so I put them down on my bed. Of course my bed now reeks of the same chemical smell.
I am at a loss for what to do. I have had to recruit my mother in trying to rid myself of the horrible smell. Last night I had to sleep in the spare bedroom because the smell from the clothing I received made me sick to my stomach. If I cannot rid myself of the smell this last wash, I will be throwing my entire purchase away. Don't bother ordering from this money grab, your house will never be rid of the chemical smell. Would give 0 stars but CA made me give at least one.

Spent the better part of a day shopping their site, fantastic sale, never used before, but they were an ebates company so figured reasonable safe. The sale was good until end of 4/30/15. Tried to check out a $268 order with free shipping (which they wanted to charge me $22 for), and ebates visa was rejected. Called ebates visa, all was well with card. Tried again in morning 4/30, order looked fine - $268, went to process payment page only to see the total was well over $500!!! They claimed special pricing had expired, but when I went back to shopping pages the deals were still there, and good for another 17 hours. No phone number, no address, only email complaint, and no response, of course. I canceled the entire order, but they have my card info so called the card company to flag them, and filing complaints to anyone who will listen including ebates whom I trust to have reputable companies to shop.
This is a Chinese company and from reading other complaints, I am glad I found out sooner rather than later. They represent themselves as a "worldwide company offering goods from around the world" but it all comes from China. This is a scam, and it looks like there are hundreds if not thousands of complaints online, everything from ZERO nonexistent customer service, to shoddy misrepresented goods. If you get anything at all, weeks or months later. Someone needs to take them down, PLEASE!!!
Updated on May 17, 2015: Just to follow up my previous review of LightintheBox, advise, as would Consumer Affairs, to notify your credit card/bank IMMEDIATELY when you realize you have had your light put out!!! Shortly after I posted my previous review, my credit card called me to notify me someone had tried to post a $398 order to that same card, and I didn't even finalize my order, and deleted it when I realized this was a rip off!!! They could not locate WHO it was, but the charge was to a company I never heard of and never used. I suspect they were connected in some way, but if the bank can't find out, I certainly can't. Also advised them again to red flag Light, and let me know if anything else looks out of the ordinary. By the way, Lightinthebox never did respond to my email, more than a month later.
BUYER BEWARE, these Chinese sites are popping up all over the net, and on Amazon, Ebates, etc., always, always, go to the bottom of their home page before you fall in love with their cheap prices, and see where they are located, their contacts, customer service, etc., and all the fine print involving shipping and other fees, you will probably back right out of their site before you give them any personal info. What a shame really, that a few sleazy companies are going to give their commerce a bad name. Would think they are smarter than that. Have better luck dealing with India, but super careful there as well. Good luck everyone, and always remember to post your complaints and inform your bank!!! And read the small print FIRST!

I ordered 2 wedding dresses in January from lightinthebox at a standard size 12. They arrived late and I was asked to pay an extra £84 international tax. As they were late I sent them back with the UPS guy. I then emailed lightinthebox complaining that my wedding dresses had arrived late and that's when the excuses began. From that moment I had a nightmare trying to get my money back.
Contacting them is awful as they give you a ticket number on your email and close it when 'they' think it's resolved. Then when you try and contact them again via their emailing system on their site you get a new ticket number and person responding so they have no idea of previous emails and conversations. They said they would only refund me 50% as it was 'made to order' meaning I gave measurements which I didn't! Then they said the information for delivery is on their website which is a bloody maze! Their information is very unclear and in every way they try and trap you for money! 2 months later I still had not received a refund as they said when they receive the package back they will refund me some money.
I called UPS and they informed me that they contacted lightinthebox on feb 19 and they gave UPS the permission to abandoned the package. Lightinthebox didn't inform me of this, they lied to me telling me that they are waiting for it which is why I haven't be given my money back. They caused me a ridiculous amount of aggravation and stress around the time of me getting married. 2 months after sending the dresses back I only received 60% of what I paid! Never ever ever use this website/company!!

After that, I order many small gadgets. Some of them are low quality, but some are good and I'm happy with these. Delivery time is not fast - generally 5 weeks (to Israel). Some items I didn't get even after 5 weeks - still waiting...

This is truly a horrible store. Made out to be a cool, fast, easy way to get your online shopping done. I've waited months on end for products to arrive... when they do, they're either broken or in much worse condition than as supposedly advertised. Thankfully I mostly spend my rewards on the website, and there's some easy gimmicks you can use to get refunds. Haha. Really not worth the money. I know the stuff is advertised at great deals, but don't use this site. I've had better experiences with ebay for crying out loud.

I purchased almost $80.00 worth of product on March 1 2015 and as of today April 11th 2015 still have not received my product. I have been told on two different occasions to wait a bit longer due to customs and the type of shipping I selected which was standard. I had to request a refund today and am hoping that there will not be an issue. I realized that this company does not have a customer service that is user-friendly. They hide the complaint box under Check Customs hoping that people will not find it if they have issues. Also they do not have a phone number. I am disappointed in their business practice. They document shipping within 10- 20 business days; it has been over a month.

I ordered a pair of dance shoes on 3 March, 2015. I finally received them yesterday. It took 35 days. I tried to contact this company and want to track my package. But I couldn't find any help. No email address, no phone numbers, no tracking numbers, no real customer services. It seems to me you need a "ticket" in order to send a email. But I have no ticket. There's nothing you can do except waiting in frustration. Then this pair of shoes arrived at last. But they are of very poor quality. The insert of the sole of the left shoe was placed so incorrectly that you can feel like there's a small rock under your heel when you put your foot in. They are unwearable. Now I accept the fact that my money has been wasted. I even lost my interest in dealing with this company for refund or changing. I learnt the lesson and will never buy from it. I write this review and hope this can help people keep away from this bad company.

I ordered several bridesmaids dresses from this company. The first one I received the color is not even close to the color that chose on the website. They weren't custom made or anything, just picked a size. Now these dresses will not work for my upcoming wedding so I want my refund for each dress. I definitely will not be ordering from them anymore ever in life. Once they fix my problem they will not have to ever worry about me and my money again... I ordered a bridesmaid dress on March 17th. VISA paid them on March 20th. Lightinthebox sent email within 2-3 hours of the order saying they wanted to see a copy of my credit card, security code, and copy of a driver's license. My VISA said NO WAY which I already knew. They said they had already approved the money and they would get it. It was posted to my account on March 20th which the credit card company said they now had the money on March 20th.
March 30 my daughter asked me to check on the dress and when I did it said pending because they still wanted picture of my credit card, etc. When I contacted them by the only means of communicating with them (message on their website) telling them that the credit card company paid them 3 days after the order so they had the money they said the order has been cancelled because I did not send proof with in 10 days... The VISA paid it in 3 days... It had been paid for but they still refused to process the dress.
Credit card company said they don't need proof if they already have the money...it is up to the credit card company to worry about that. NOW we have to scramble in getting a bridesmaid dress. I did get the money back on my credit card but the other bridesmaid was sent the wrong color dress. VERY DISAPPOINTED is saying it mildly.

I paid taxes, transportation fees that I had no previous knowledge of. When I received the dress I was shocked for there is no resemblance between the picture & the real dress. The lace on each side of the zipper is not even & the green colors of the lace & the lower part of the dress do not mach & the whole dress is over quilted especially the busts, which makes me look much bigger than my real size. I strongly want to return the dress & refund the whole price + transportation fees (195) & soon, so I can get me another dress for the event which will take place a week from now. Yesterday I placed an order online and paid for expedited delivery. Order status show that they will ship my order after a & DAYS WAIT! I looked for support/contact info and there is none! Is this a legit merchandise ordering site or a scam. At best they don't seem to care about customers.

Purchased 6 shirts today... immediately discovered they were the wrong size (my bad & good fortune). Decided to make the correction by contacting CS... To my surprise no customer service. No phone numbers. I checked my email for a receipt of purchase...nothing. You can leave a message after clicking on your order number. But I doubt this company has any intention of actually selling anything, particularly based upon the other 98 complaints just this year... If you purchase anything cancel it now! And phone your bank. Be sure to leave a message on their Facebook page to ward off other potential customers. Doing business with Chinese companies based in China is always a 50/50 bet. But this one is really a NO GO! My bank rep said they will be shut down... eventually.

These are the worst looking/feeling/constructed dance shoes I have ever had on my feet. It looks like a five-year-old was given some raw materials and a bottle of glue and told to go at it. There are wrinkles in the foot bed. How that could ever be comfortable to dance in, I don't know. The soles also have all these strange bumps and bubbles. You can see all of the glue holding these together. They are extremely uncomfortable, unwearable, very very cheaply made. Their least expensive shipping method can take up to 20 days. It took exactly 21 days. They smelled like they came out of a coal mine or something, very chemically. Had to put them outside for a day before bringing them back in the house. COMPLETE waste of money. Never ever ever again from LightInTheBox. Don't waste your money and time.

I bought a dress for a wedding in Portugal in June. The dress turned out to be far too heavy and I have requested a European return address but there is nothing forthcoming. Firstly they said it was a made to measure dress but it was not just a standard size. HOW do you get them to give you a return address. They say to sign into this account but nothing happens.

A friend and I are cosplaying next month at our local Fan Expo, so we decided to order from lightinthebox. She orders her wig a week before I do, I order mine and also a wooden sword to go with my costume. A few days later she tells me not to order from there seeing as her credit card info was stolen, because things were being purchased from the site with her card... So we assume we weren't getting what we paid for.. but I got two e-mails saying my items were shipped. A few weeks later they arrived although they were shipped through different companies.. not sure why. The product was great! and well made.. but my friend still hasn't received any shipping e-mail or even her order yet, even though she ordered before me. Just don't order from this site, you never know what will happen.

I ordered a hat and the charge $45.33 was taken out of my bank account on 3-11-2015. (PayPal LightInTheBox ** CA) I received an e-mail that it was shipped March 20, 2015. To this date I have not received it. I do not have money to throw away. Please see that they ship the hat that they took my money for or refund me.

I ordered my wedding veil on February 22nd, it "shipped out" on March 4th. Was told 5-7 days. It is now March 30th and I still have not received it. Every time I email them they tell me to "wait another 10 days". If I do not receive this soon it will be too late to order a replacement, and I will not have a veil for my wedding day. Extremely angry at this point.

I saw some wedding shoes on the site which I liked and placed an order for them. I paid £11 for expedited shipping which I understood was for them to arrive in 3-5 days. A week later, the order was still 'pending' so I sent them an email but got one back saying my email wasn't correct. A week after that, they were sent. I have just received a text from DHL delivery service telling me to pay an extra £14 as evidently, not enough postage has been put on the parcel. I can assure you that I will not be paying that £14 and I will be making a formal complaint to LightInTheBox.

I ordered a pair of dance shoes from LightInTheBox on March 15th 2015. The shoes were $44 on sale and I paid $13 and change for "expedited" shipping, i.e. 3-5 days. I was expecting the shoes to arrive any day as the 5 business days have passed. When they didn't arrive I attempted to contact their customer service, which, in spite of what they say, does not exist anywhere on their website. There is no telephone number, nor email address, but I was able to send a message through their Facebook page. I got a response saying the 3-5 days is AFTER processing and after shipping and my order will be shipped on the 28th of March and then who knows? When I checked this company out online it turns out that there are so many complaints that it is hard to understand how they are allowed to be in business. Many people have apparently lost money and I'm figuring I will too. I hope that you can do something.

This is my little experience with Lightinthebox: I ordered some jewelry from them on February 19 and they told me my stuff were all shipped on February 20. I got the standard shipping method which is free shipping that takes from 10-20 days. It took 24 days for my stuff to get to my address which I don't consider bad at all comparing to what other people had to go through. There is no contact number, but when you e-mail them they are pretty fast at answering e-mails. To be honest the quality is horrible; it looks good in pictures, but not in real life. I didn't have to pay extra fees for shipping which I was worried about. I won't buy from them again though.

I ordered two dresses which I understood would arrive 12-17 days after I had ordered them (that was even with expedited shipping!) - just in time for two formal events I would be attending. It is now 17 days later and the dresses have not even shipped! I just cancelled the orders and am very disappointed that I won't have these dresses for which I spent a long time shopping online for the events I am going to.

I ordered 4x bikinis 10 days ago. It was informed that my order will be shipped on the 14th of March. That was two days ago and still shows as "processing". Haven't heard any reason why my order is delayed and can't find any of the buttons advised on the website to send an email to customer service. I haven't found ways to contact the customer service at all and of course sending a message through Facebook won't work either. The service so far has been really, really poor. I'm going for a holiday and looks like that because of the delay. Can't get bikinis till that even though I ordered them early enough.

I ordered 4 dresses online. Even though there was no way to contact anyone about my order, it did arrive on time, which was about a month after my order. The dresses were not dresses. They were the length of shirts. Even though I ordered size 3X, advertised as plus size, the sizes sent to me were a regular size small. They look like the size my daughter wears, actually a bit smaller. I could not even put three of them over my head, as the neck opening was too small... and my neck is very thin... lol.... not really funny, though. I lost the money I spent, as there is no one to complain to. I consider this my fault. I should have checked the company out first. I shop online all the time and never experienced such rotten merchandise and zero customer service contact. If you are considering making a purchase, DON'T. Be warned.

I ordered 3 items from this company. Payment was processed the day after I placed order and was supposedly shipped on January 31. Shipping time frame was 6-8 business days. I have yet to received my package, yet their tracking information shows it was delivered on February 17th. Even if I had received the package, it wouldn't have been in the time frame that they stated. It was still 12 business days. Basically they've told me that the package was delivered and they can do nothing to help me. So, I'm out the cost of this order. I wouldn't order anything from this company. I won't be.

I have ordered jewelry from these people and their "partners in crime" miniinthebox.com several times. The problems I have had are the same, it takes more than a month to "receive" your product and more often than not, they tell you, when you can FINALLY get in contact with them (they have no phone number to call them) they tell you that the "items got lost in transit". They will ask you if you want product reshipped, but will also tell you that it will take "just as long" as the initial shipment.
Problem is, they supply NO VALID tracking numbers for shipments either. They are not willing to do anything to help ease the customer for their aggravation and frustration, like expediting shipment back out to you at NO CHARGE. I even had them "resolve" a matter the day BEFORE I was told to contact them if I did not receive my product.
Personally, I believe these people are in the business to take people's money for orders and because of the amount of time that passes by, they hope people forget about the order and they keep the money without ever delivering product. That is illegal and something SHOULD be done about these two sites. Yes, products are cheaper, but for the amount it would cost to get the same stuff from somewhere reputable and without such hassles, it is better off ordering elsewhere.

My wedding dress turned up very late, i had to pay extra to dhl to get it. The bridesmaid's dress has vanished, the bank has confirmed that they took the money from my account but now i have no order or account apparently. I ordered a headset for a PS3 for my boyfriend as a Valentine's gift on January 30th. It said estimated time of arrival was 10-20 days. However, my package has yet to come and it has been close to a month. I ordered several pieces of hand-painted artwork. To my horror, when they arrived, they were so completely different to the product shown on their website, both in quality and color. Some looked like they had been done by a child. There was 2 pieces out of about 10 that were done well... All the others were a huge disappointment. They do not allow honest negative reviews on their website. I made good reviews on the good artworks and negative reviews on the bad, and they kept the positive reviews and deleted the negative ones, so there is just no honesty or transparency in their business. They even offered to bribe me to change my negative reviews to positive ones and when I refused, they just deleted them!!! That has never happened to me before!
I also ordered a crystal chandelier and it was faulty. They also really pester you constantly to buy more things from them, with several different customer service personnel constantly sending you emails offering various rewards for shopping with them again. These don't seem like the usual run of the mill forwards, but actual service personnel constantly contacting you. I would never buy anything from them again, and I have blocked them all from my email inbox although they keep changing their emails so the odd one still gets through. Really bad experience.

I ordered from LightInTheBox, and paid with my credit card. They ask me to have a picture of the card (with numbers covered) and a picture of my document. I sent it. Then, they deleted my order: "Order canceled. You will get back your money a.s.a.p.". No explanation for that, no further communication. No way to contact them, no customers support. For them order is closed so no way to open a ticket. I am waiting for my money to come back. Hope I'll receive it. 270$ is not silly money. And I needed the material. Are you sure you want to buy from a seller that can decide to seize your money when he want?

I ordered the printed sweatshirt and when I received the product it was such a cheap quality printing as if it's printed at some local cheap shop. There is no way you can wear the shirt. The print on the shirt smells horrible and it sticks to each other... It's so stiff and bad that it looks used and worn shirt already. The customer service sucks and no way you can resolve the issue with them. They are a big scam and sells cheap quality product. Beware from them!

I purchased 6 gowns from Lightinthebox (order number **). They were not custom made and just size 12. I wanted to pick the one I liked and return the others. I spent $942.81 and contacted them for a RMA number to return 5 of the gowns. They said that the dresses were custom made for me which is a lie and they offered me $200 refund. I would never even expect money back for anything custom made overseas without a tailor measuring me. I am so upset.
They said easy returns on everything, now they are telling me that they will not give me RMA numbers to return the items. I am out of $942.81 which makes me so upset you cannot imagine. This company has ripped me off. I am going to contact my credit card company to see if I can get a temp credit and open a formal dispute. No one should do business with these people...they are dishonest. I am attaching the receipts and packing list for all gowns. As you can see the dresses were not custom made and I want a complete refund, except for the last one which I was going to keep. Thank you.

DO NOT ORDER FROM LIGHT IN THE BOX. What kind of CRAP is this? Hot mess. "Your order is currently in the processing phase and will be shipped out no later than 2015-03-09 using Expedited. The package normally takes 3-5 business days to arrive." Can't find a phone number anywhere. They will NOT deliver allegedly for another month. Tried to cancel, but now they want to return only 50% of my money. When I ordered, they said my order would arrive within 3 to 5 days. Looks like real scam going on, delivery is always unknown, usually when you're at work, then DHL send letter adding an £8.00 admin fee! What I don't understand is delivery arrived on Friday afternoon as my neighbour explained a cost was requested by Sat am the additional 8.00 added for the letter? Clothes are cheap and nasty fall apart after one wash, could do better at a local market. LITB and sadly DHL (whom I believed were reputable company) are scamming UK customers big time. LITB have no customer services. This order has two items I didn't order included, can I be bothered to cost the return, nope but will never use either company again.

I purchased what was claimed to be a 3200 lumen WXGA projector from LightInTheBox through Amazon. It is the worst product I have ever purchased. I own a dozen video projectors and wouldn't even qualify this as a toy. It claims to be 3200 lumens, but I have a 170 lumen projector that is brighter. It can't be focused properly and gets progressively more unfocused the further away you get from the center. Even if it could be focused, it appears to be SVGA resolution (or worse), not XGA and certainly not WXGA. It is completely blurred to the point you can't make anything out at all by the time you get close to the edges of the screen. The power flickers off if it moves even slightly. It's loud. It feels like it's a generally empty huge case. It plays Windows 95 start up tune when it starts. If I can't get this thing refunded, I'll open it to see what's in it. I suspect it is an old windows phone with an incandescent lamp shining behind the LCD screen.

I ordered a shawl to wear with my wedding dress in my size. I received it and it is way too small. Not just ill fitting, but 3 to 4 sizes if not more too small. I contacted the company and they told me the product is custom made for me so they would only give me less than 1/3rd of the purchase price if I return it. I emailed back stating I never gave them my measurements so it could not have been custom made for me and the product shipped is not the correct size. After some time they did email me back and say they would give me a refund of a little more than half the purchase price. This place is a scam. Be cautious when ordering from this company. If you get your product and have an issue, don't expect any customer service.

Recently I ordered CRYSTAL wine stopper and the item that I paid for and the item the merchant sent was not the same. On January 21, 2015 I contacted customer service at LightInTheBox and also filed a claim with Paypal. I claimed the actual amount of the cost for the purchase of $147.24 and my DHL expense (customs and duty) of $41.74, also whatever the amount it would cost me to send the item back to the seller.
I instantly received my refund of $147.24 and Christine (the person I am dealing with) asked me to send them a money request for the other expense I have incurred. I sent the money request through Paypal of $123.67 and since then the communication has dropped on their behalf. All they sell is junk. They will send nothing like what is in the picture. Pay a bit more somewhere else and get better quality and better service.

I ordered a product and paid using American Express. I looked at the status of my purchase on their website and it showed processing and payment approved. They sent me a note in the website asking for a copy of my credit card and a copy of my driver's license or my Passport to prove who I was. I refused to provide this type of information. I ask them several questions that they have never answered. I have told them to cancel my order and I have not received a reply. I will never do business with this company again. The type of information they are requesting can be used for fraud. I do not recommend the use of this company.

Red and Black Round Tempered glass Vessel Sink With Faucet - I purchased this sink and waterfall faucet in July 2014 and had it installed in our WC in October. Recently a guest left the faucet on and the bowl has now discolored down the side where the faucet is situated. I have now tried in three occasions to contact Light in the Box to ask for a replacement or refund and have offered to send pictures of the damage. Ordered a dress that was a 'ready to wear', so it should ship out in 24 hrs. Next day received a order status that a copy of my credit card and photo ID was needed for verification. My payment had already been deducted from my account. A friend ordered the same dress and did not have to do this. I think they are picking random people to try and stay under the radar with their clever scam. Oh, I don't have a dress that was supposed to arrive 2 days ago. So my friend needed a new keyboard and mouse, so I let pay me in cash (35$) and then he used my card for paying it, as his card wouldn't work. First of all, it said 5-8 days and came an entire month late. Second, NOW THE SHIPPING COMPANY SAYS I HAVEN'T PAID FOR SHIPPING, and in the site it say it was 35 DKK (14 USD). I placed an order and paid for it through PayPal on Dec 7th 2014. My order, number **, was apparently shipped on Dec 11th 2014. I paid for standard shipping which light in the box said was 6 to 8 days. What an outright piece of misinformation! Light in the box uses Post NL to ship their goods, according to their useless track and trace page. My tracking number is **. Every time I try this useless page l get the information "ALL SHIPPED." I can't get an E.T.A. nor can I get any joy by using their (Litbx) chat room for help as they suggest. Every time I try, it says chat room offline, come back later. There is no phone number and both their email addresses are useless, support@lightinthebox.com and feedback@lightinthebox.com. One address answers you saying that it is no longer used and to try their chat room or their track and trace options for help. The other email address they don't even bother to reply to at all.
l have heard that deliveries from China can take 21 days. So if you add 21 days to Dec 11th, plus 3 days public holidays, that is a total of 24 days. That means my delivery should have arrived by Jan 4th 2015. Now as today is Jan 7th 2015, and my package, according to their shipping company hasn't even arrived in Australia yet! If I could actually speak to someone at litbx I might not be so fed up! The item I bought is a tablet which I was going to use as I am going back to school after 30 yrs on Jan 21st 2015. I WILL NEVER USE LIGHT IN THE BOX EVER AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE THAT MY FRIENDS KNOW OF THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE that this company offers. IN 2011 I ordered a dress from LITB and it was ordered on 02/04/2011. I needed by 03/06/2011. I processes expedited shipping and still did not receive my dress unit 03/01/2011.. Whew!!! Thank goodness it came in time but I still paid for 5-8 day shipping and the order still took almost 1 month to come. My best advice about LITB is if you need it really quickly even with expedited shipping I wouldn't order from them other than that if you're willing to wait. Have at it..

AVOID THAT WEBSITE. Here is my story. I will try to make it as short as possible: I made an order on 11-27-2014 "phone" expecting the phone to be shipped on 12/1/2014. 12/1/2014 has came, And my phone is not shipped, they changed the processing status up to 15 DECEMBER...After many problems and tickets, they shipped my phone on 12/10/2014 by EMS. 9 days has passed and my phone didn't leave china, I asked them "What's the problem?" They told that it's ok.
After 2 more days the order has been returned to them. They told me If I want a refund+ a coupon or a reshipment. I asked for my phone. They reply after 2-3 DAYS. 12/26/2014 they told me "we SHIPPED the phone again." They didn't give me a tracking number, opened a ticket and asked for it. They gave me a FAKE EMS TRACKING NUMBER. I have been waiting for 3 DAYS for it to update. It didn't and I told them that. After a while they told me "When you did order the first time we had problems with customs and the order got returned to us. We can arrange a refund for you." Not only they did lie about shipping my phone, THEY wasted 33 days From the time I did make an order.
TL;DR: They made me waste A LOT of great deals from other websites
-I lost 33 DAYS waiting for my phone, and I did NOT get it in the end.-Their customer service IF you didn't receive your order, they will TOTALLY IGNORE YOU. I had to wait up to 4 days just to get 1 reply.
-They Lied to me "customer". They told me "We shipped your phone", and gave me a fake tracking number, while they didn't even ship.
-It was my fault for buying from them. I saw many many negative reviews and I said this won't happen to me, But here Im now.
-Asked for a refund after 33 days and after being pissed with their customer service, Got the refund which is good.
AVOID THIS WEBSITE. THERE IS TONS OF OTHER BETTER TRUSTED ONES.

I paid £52.40 for goods. Only received 3, value £6. I was asked to pay £16 duty. I phoned DHL to pay this as they were the couriers. They informed me that they had not received any instruction to collect my order and it was still in the factory in China. Also, advised on no account pay duty fee over the internet. Their drivers will collect any fee required at the door and give me a receipt ref this.

Lightinthebox.com offers its products at substantially lower prices that offers its customers significant savings. For all of the above reasons you will want to consider using Lightinthebox.com for your online shopping needs. However you will also want to seriously consider the following before making that purchase.
Lightinthebox.com does have many shortcomings, for example, Lightinthebox.com may offer a wide variety of products at substantially lower prices than NewEgg.com, Amazon.com, and Tigerdirect.com. However Lightinthebox.com clearly does not have the same robust distribution system or partnerships with global shipping companies that operate in the United States, like FEDEX, UPS, DHL, or even the United States Postal Service, as NewEgg.com, Amazon.com, and Tigerdirect.com. Unlike NewEgg.com, Amazon.com, and Tigerdirect.com who tend to have outstanding customer service and support. It is painfully obvious that to customers doing business with Lightinthebox.com that customer service and support is practically nonexistent at Lightinthebox.com.
This is an example from my own personal experience. I placed an order on 13 December 2014 for a Nintendo Wii package consisting of four 2 in 1 motion plus Wii Controllers with four Nunchucks, and 4 batteries and a four dock charging station for about $35.99 (USA). I also paid for expedited shipping and insurance of $14.91 (USA). Expedited shipping is between 3 to 5 days according to Lightinthebox.com. My order shipped out on 14 December 2014, and as of the date of this review I have not received my order in the Columbus, OHIO area of the USA. I was provided a tracking number and website link to track my package; however, this tracking number and website link are useless! The customer service chat feature does not work on the website, and there is no phone number to talk to anyone. Based on the reviews I read, I knew I was taking a risk, and it appears that I will receive this Christmas present in time to have in wrapped and under the Christmas tree this year. I will update this review to reflect when if at all that I receive this order.

Ordered a shawl a week ago, £20 plus £11 for shipping, then get a to message from delivery company stating I have to pay £13 duty and vat. I did not know the item was coming from China. I refused to pay and cancelled item. Made it a very dear shawl that I couldn't locally cheaper. I think this company are anything but honest when you are completing your transaction.

Looking on the web for security cameras and found Lightinthebox, good price, till I checked out and shipping was 86.00, that should have been the red flag. That was Nov. 30th, then checked a few days later for status of shipment, had to provide picture of credit card and drivers licence, another red flag! But like a sucker I did it cause I never dealt with them before. Got a pleasant email back that they received the info and order being processed. Now almost 3 weeks later still nothing after paying for shipment in 3 to 5 business days. Checked my order status and it says it was cancelled, by whom? I don't see a refund! So for a screaming deal of 195.00 plus 85.00 shipping, now I am scared if I actually receive it shipped to Canada, what additional charges I will have to pay. Lesson learned here!

I placed two orders last Friday, one which says has been shipped & the other which is still "processing" although the email said it would take less than 24 hrs to ship. In total, I've spent about $300 & it was for Christmas gift that obviously won't be getting here soon enough. I have no idea how to contact them so if anyone could give me an email or number, is greatly appreciate it! I don't want to cancel the orders just yet because I'm hoping it does ship.

Ordered stock size, pearl pink dress after viewing several samples of dresses on the site made in this color. Order arrived quickly but the dress isn't pink, it is pale peach. Viewing it in person in many different lighting situations, especially outside in natural light, no doubt about it, it isn't even close to pink. Return/exchange was denied of course. Too bad they don't care about losing future repeat customers.

I was in the market for shoes and came across this website. They had lots of reasonably-priced shoes, and exactly the kind I wanted, so I went a little crazy and ordered 8 pairs. I did not do enough research on this company before placing my order. I knew they were an overseas company but did not realize they were based in China.
The first problem I encountered was that they would not accept my credit card for payment, but I couldn't figure out why, they just kept rejecting it. No big deal, I used my debit card instead. Although their shipping charges were a little high, they promised 3-5 day "expedited shipping" -- great! And I was ordering 8 pairs of shoes after all, so I figured that the shipping was based on weight and bit the bullet on it.
A couple of days later the debit went through on my account, PLUS an extra charge of $7 and change for currency conversion. Huh? Okay, so it's only 7 bucks, it won't break me. I was still getting a good deal, even with the high $24 shipping charge. The "expedited" shipping took a full month! I guess they meant 3 to 5 days AFTER the package got to the United States.
I was still okay with the order because it's not like I was going barefoot, waiting for my shoes to arrive. They all fit fine, except one pair was not exactly the right color so I contacted them for return authorization. They refunded the cost of the shoes and told me to keep them anyway. I was relieved to find I wasn't going to be on the hook for shipping costs back to China and the credit came through on my account very quickly.
A few weeks later I got an invoice in the mail from DHL Express, with a $28 "customs charge". WTF? I called DHL and they knew exactly what I was going to say as soon as I gave them the invoice number. Apparently they have a LOT of problems with this company's customers. Turns out when you order from lightinthebox YOU are responsible for paying duty on the incoming package. Plus, DHL acts as a broker for lightinthebox, so there was an extra $6.50 tacked on to the duty charge.
In the end, my $28/pair shoes ended up costing me closer to $40 each, with all the unexpected charges. All of the charges are listed on the website, IF you can sift through and find them, so it's not like they lied about any of it, but still, who expects to pay customs charges and broker's fees for a pair of shoes? I have learned my lesson and I will never do business with lightinthebox again, and from now on I will check out any online companies a little bit more before I click that "place order" button. And I check my bank account daily to make sure they haven't hijacked my accounts because they have my debit card number now.

So on Nov 19th I bought a phone from this company. After a few days of processing, it was marked as "shipped", even though the tracking number wasn't working. After prodding them they basically told me to wait, and after a while it started working (on the PostNL website mind you, the "Track" button on their website is broken). After reading that the phone I ordered is overall terrible software wise, I asked for a full refund and did receive one after a few days. I was told to refuse the package. Today after 3 weeks or 14 business days it finally arrived (although I was told 6-8 days, and I do live in Canada not any sort of remote island). I refused the package as it arrived, and it's making its way back to their warehouse or wherever at least it's out of my hands now. The size of the package was about the size of your average phone box, which makes me wonder how well it was packed. My only advice is to use PayPal, and if there's any sort of problem where you believe they're ignoring you, open a dispute and they'll respond right away. Their customer service is mediocre, but they got the job done and it doesn't seem as bad as others make it out to be.

I placed an order on November 23, 2014. They took payment the same day and shipping was suppose to be 10 day Max. I'm still waiting for information on when it suppose to come. They have no contact number and when you try to use the online chat they are not available. This company is so cheap because it is a rip off. I have a friend from China that ships thing to her family and it never takes that long for her family to receive items. Even when she use UPS. They don't tell you who exactly is the carrier of your package. The website just want you to keep buying. Never again will I buy anything from this company.

Placed an order December 6, 2014. Order received, payment processed (called Mastercard and the funds have already been charged). The following day Dec 7th we received an email that states we need to send a CLEAR photo of the credit card and Driver's License or Passport or they will cancel order in 10 days. There is NO customer service # and no way to contact them. All web searches on this issue indicates that others that received the same correspondence have NOT had their money refunded. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM www.lightinthebox.com.

After waiting for a month to get dance shoes for my son, I get the wrong item!!! So utterly disappointed and ripped off. They wrote that I have to pay for return shipping to China to get my refund!!! That's over the price of the product! What a rip off site they are running. I am truly sorry I ordered from that website.

I placed a big clothes order, it arrived quite soon. I had to pay extra 37 Euros of "Aduana fees". Then checking the stuff almost all the sizes were wrong, some of them were manually changed, come on!! Do they think we are stupid? I ordered 3 shirts, same model different sizes, 70, 80, 90... It arrived 86, 92 and the last one I believe they didn't have other sizes because the original label was removed and changed with a sticker but it was like another 86. It happened with almost everything.. I didn't want to return them for time and money issue, but I placed a nice complaint in their website. They offered to return half of the extra fees I paid, but when I realized it (after 3 days) it was too late, they had erased all the activity from my account and I was like a new customer, not a purchase, not a complain... Unbelievable!!!

I ordered a roman shade from Light in the Box. They sent me the wrong shade, wrong size and fabric. I returned it and am still waiting for my shade. According to their website, my case is closed. They have my money and I have nothing! This is outrageous. I think they even overcharged me. HELP!!!!
