I ordered 3 scarves on 11/9/14. So far, I haven't heard anything from the company except an email wanting me to verify receipt of my order. I do have a confirmation number and they charged my account as soon as the order was placed. Thank goodness I didn't order anything expensive. Maybe time will tell.

November 16, 2014 I ordered a dress for a Christmas party I will be attending. The party is on December 13th but the shipment of my dress is due for December 20th, 2014. I am not happy at all. Also I purchased some boots and I probably will not get those either. This is very bad service. I have learned my lesson. I will never order from them again.

I order few things from them and I still waiting for it. Try to contact them - no one answer - no number and no customer service, and I don't know what happen to my order and my money.

Do not use this site! The website looks awesome, but it is bogus. Do not read the great reviews on the website. They are false. They have no customer service number. The live chat does not work. No return email address is offered and they do not respond to their recommended "Ask a Question" form. You will either lose your money or not get your item for months on end. I bought a wedding dress, but it did not come even after I paid for expedited shipping. There was no way to reach them to inquire or cancel order. I had to buy a new dress 4 days before my wedding. I filed a complaint via the Better Business Bureau.

I want to let you now that this site is a scam. I order on Friday 21.11.2014 so everything was perfect - so they charge me and after one day I receive a email that I have to send them a picture of my id and card so I said no. After this, today I receive another email that I will receive my money back but I didn't and after I receive another email that I didn't pay but I pay $140 so now I don't know what to do!!

Buyers beware. Before you order in the UK from this company please check their disclaimer regarding import duty, you will have to look for it. I ordered bathroom accessories and was told the shipping would be £3.86, no mention at all of any other charges. I then received a text from the delivery company in the UK. There was an additional £14 import tax to pay, making a total of £17.86 delivery on a £38 order. The first mention by this company that the item was from China and may incur additional costs was in the small print on an email after shipping, when it's too late to cancel. The first email (when I could cancel without cost) contains no reference to this at all. If I return the item the delivery, tax and return have still to be paid and I'm only refunded 50% of the item's cost... Purchase elsewhere where they are fair and upfront regarding your costs.

I placed and paid for my order on Nov. 10, 2014. Standard shipping was to be 6-8 days. It has now been 13 days and NO WORD FROM YOU! This is the ** customer service EVER and especially that I PAID for expedited shipping. EVERY other place I order from ships for FREE and my orders arrive in 3-5 days. This is really **... your customer service sucks. NEVER again will I order from you. I am REALLY disappointed.

I am having a destination wedding and ordered 50 flasks with engraving. The system requires 4 line items to complete the order however, we only wanted to engrave our wedding date. I reached out to their terrible online chat customer service who told me to write "leave empty" in the other fields. Guess what??? They engraved LEAVE EMPTY on the flasks!! Then after I reached out to them and argued on online chat to speak to a manager, they finally connected me and tried to justify their mistake. I reordered the flasks and this time I filled out 4 line items to avoid another mistake and guess what? They managed to screw up again!!! I put the date as 12-4-14 and they sent me 2012-4-14. What the hell am I supposed to do now??? My destination wedding is in 2 weeks and the holidays are approaching. This is the last thing I want to be thinking about right now. So that's it. This company sucks. They have incompetent degenerates working there!!!! Ruined everything for me.

I ordered a wedding veil for $8.99 and thought I was getting a deal until UPS showed up with my veil and a hefty bill of $40.00. So I ended up paying $49.00 for what I thought was a deal, then I had to have a check or money order at delivery, which I was so not aware of "NOT". VERY PISSED OFF. I had several other things I had in My Favorites ready to hit the go button to order. I Don't think so, I will continue ordering from JJS House. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SITE TO ANYONE!!!!

I ordered two dresses and a shaper from this company. I paid for expedited shipping however it still took over two weeks to get my order. Based on the measurement on their site I ordered the sizes I needed. When the dresses arrived both were too large and the quality was not what I would have expected. The dresses were not cheap but the quality was. When I checked online as to how I return the items I discovered that there was no way to call this company, and the only way to contact them was thru the website via a message.
They did answer my message quickly however said they would not take the dresses back as they were "special order". I agree that one of the dresses were made to order... meaning I picked out the color of the top and the color of the bottom - based on the colors they offered. However the second dress was just based on the size I needed. The color and dress were not made to order. They refused to take either of the dresses back. They did offer a refund of $60 to pay me to have them tailored however I paid nearly $300 for the two dresses. Please be CAREFUL when ordering from this site. I will never do it again and would never recommend it to anyone.

I ordered almost a month ago and have not received anything. They charged me right away and supposedly sent the Item but there is no tracking number. I tried to email them but it took me an hour to find the right link to email them. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE. I hope is not scam.

I should have read your reviews first before ordering from this Company. Ordered items going on 7 days ago -- They immediately charged my card for the purchase. My card even contacted me regarding fraud -- SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RED FLAG. Checked on status of order today and it states Items still "being processed". What does that mean? There is no way to contact customer service. Now there is a message in my account that the items won't be shipped for another 10 days. I'm afraid to see what I actually get, WHEN AND IF I ACTUALLY GET THEM. Never, never buy from this Company -- it's a scam!

I ordered a hat on 10/01/14 & as of 10/28/14 still haven't received it. The only way to contact them is online. Unable to track package. They already charged me. I sent 3 emails to refund money only to get reply to wait another 10- 15 days for delivery. I think this company is a scam.

I read the return policy and was happy that if I was not satisfied with my order I could return it with no hassles. There were no specification on returns. I was not satisfied with my purchase. The appliqués were skimpily placed. It does not look like what’s pictured. I wanted to return it. So I followed the instructions for return via email, and the reply was "We do not make returns". 200.00 is a lot of money to lose. I want my money back.

After ordering a group of 5 items, I sat patiently waiting for delivery. NB: payment was processed and approved upon ordering. Becoming more frustrated with my order status ON TIME but no evidence of the order being shipped, I waited until the order was beyond the maximum processing time to try and contact customer service. I was even more frustrated to find that there is no way to contact customer service if your order is ON TIME. The web links go in a circular loop back to an FAQ page. My order was now predicted to be over a week delayed. I finally found a form online under the customs query link and contacted customer service. They told me that one item was causing delays to my order even though my order was still ON TIME. I asked to cancel that item and ship immediately. They sent a shipping notice. The tracking two days later says that my order is still not been collected from the source. I received an email just now stating that the item causing delays is now available and would I like to cancel it or keep it. The item is worth a couple of dollars. I already told them to cancel. My order is still not shipped. The website shows my order as shipped when clearly it's not!! and to think I paid extra for expedited shipping!! I will never buy from this company again.

I usually wear small size when ordering or buying from USA stores, but here you either have to get a medium/large size to fit. You have to pay shipping for all returns.

I order some items in a 2x and they were 4xs too small! They didn't look anything like the pictures!!! These are kid sizes!!!

I placed an order two months ago. The product was rec'd and acceptable. Placed a second order two days ago. Now they insist on pictures of my credit card and passport. I refused and told them I think they want it for identity theft and criminal purposes. BE CAREFUL.

I purchased an 8 channel camera system from them. They charged my credit card, then demanded things like a photo copy of the CC, picture I.D. I refused. They canceled my order but still have my 225.00. I will be happy to change this posting if/and/or/when I get it back.

This is my experience with this company. Purchased several items, had to return some for size. Site is set up for selling not for returns. I have gone around and around with this so called customer service that they say is so great and have gotten nowhere. I returned the merchandise which they now say they have not received. I'm out $44 and there seems to be no resolution. I would not recommend anyone shopping there.

I paid for the order on September 1, 2013. I did not get an email confirmation but I figured that since my order was shown as paid, it`s ok. After 2 weeks of waiting, I went to the website and I saw that it was cancelled, and I did not even receive a notification. There was a message requiring me to send scans of my credit card and driver's license. This is the first time in my many years of online shopping when I was asked to release my personal information that can be stolen to use in identity fraud. And it's not like it's an IRS; they are online sellers somewhere in China. Obviously, I am not going to shop there again.

I purchased sheer curtains from this company and ordered them made with 4" hanging tabs. Their website shows beautiful tabs that are sheer and matching the curtains perfectly. My curtains came with white, opaque inner linings added which completely alters the transparent look and frankly looks odd and ugly. I contacted customer service multiple times and uploaded photos to show the curtains I received were different from what they show online.
They dismissed my complaint and responded saying: "Dear customer, from the feedback from our supplier, we may make the curtains as it is advertised online. So please advise us if you would like to return this one back for a full refund and we may offer you a $20 coupon so that you may place a new order now." I will never trust buying anything from this unsavory company. I filed a dispute with PayPal, and I am awaiting a favorable resolution from them. I will (post) show you the pictures and you can decide for yourself!

For Christmas, I bought 3 Android tablets. They arrived in very fast time. I had one that would not read the SD card and after talking to customer service for over a week, they said to send it back for a replacement. I did and told them I want a different one instead because of the problems with them. This month, one of the other tablets died and the battery would not hold a charge. I contacted customer service about a return and exchange but they said they only offer a 30-day replacement and they don't repair products for a year. They said they would give me a 20% refund. This is poor service. Do not buy a tablet from them. You only get a 30-day warranty!

My daughter ordered a prom dress on 3/23/12. On 3/26/12, she cancelled the order after noting an email that said it would take 3-4 weeks for delivery. They did not refund any money. Nothing! She has lost $225.00! When I tried to contact them to discuss the issue, I found no direct phone number. You can only email. This company has poor customer service and unscrupulous practice! Very angry!

I would not order from this company ever again!
I ordered a youth size-10 formal dress and according to their measurements but the dress was too big. I wanted to exchange the dress for a size-8 but they said that they will not do it. I have never had any trouble with any other company exchanging sizes. This is very unprofessional and I will not recommend this company to anyone! The company did not help me at all and they refused the exchange for a different size.

I ordered a tablet from Light In The Box. It didn't work as promised so I tried to return and could never get a response for a return number or any information on how to return it, as we were supposed to notify them first. They never notified us at all. Then we tried to cancel on credit card but it was not successful and I don't know why. I ended up paying for an awful tablet for $190.00. Never again!

I ordered a wedding jacket for my wedding. I ordered the jacket on May 1, 2011. When I checked in the website, the shipping date was 5/18/ 2011. The jacket did not ship on that day. I send emails and no one responds. There is no phone number in order to speak to a live person. I cannot get through to anyone.
This is the happiest time in my life, and I am stressed out because I am getting married in a few days and I do not have a jacket to go with the dress. Now, I have to go running around, finding a jacket that will match with the dress. A company with so many complaints should not be online, cheating people out of their money and causing stress. I was appalled and shocked at the large amount of complaints against this company, Light in the Box. The company should be taken off the website. The company is www.lightinthebox.com.

On Dec 21 2010, I bought 2 tablet PCs at this web site for $99.99 each. One was okay but the other one came with a defective charger. I contacted them by e-mail and they returned the e-mail saying that I could send the tablet PC back. They didn't have a charger to send me. They also said that they would send me another tablet PC (not the same model, because they didn't have any in stock) of 139.00 dollars. I said that I would be okay with that and I filled out the form and sent it to the address they provided which was in China.
After a while they sent me an e-mail saying that they didn't have the replacement PC to send me because again, they didn't have in stock and I should choose another one. I chose another one and sent to them my new request. After that they sent me another e-mail saying that it took too long to choose another one so they were ready to send me a refund of $99.99. That was a lie because I sent right away the new request but the problem was that they are a very unorganized company. Every time they send me an e-mail, they tell me different things.
Once they told me that I could choose a new PC and on the same day they told me that they were about to send me a refund and would go to the ** and buy another tablet PC. I really don't want a refund because with the money of the refund I cannot buy a tablet PC like mine worth $99.99. So I think this is not fair. I bought a computer for $99.99. It is reasonable to get another one for $99.99. They just want to send me a refund.

I have purchased a GPS/DVD player for my car. I ordered it and got it after 9 days. However, the device had more problems that I could ever imagine. The DVD would freeze and the GPS did not work. There was a GPS button but nothing happens if I click on it. The device would freeze and not turn off. I had to hard reset it a few times, then the hard reset would not work. I had to disconnect my car battery to reset it.
Nine days later, after receiving date, I contacted LighInThebox. I was advised to ship the item back for a replacement and they will cover the cost of shipment up to $70. For that amount of money, the only option was to send the item back through ground/sea. Usually it takes 4 to 6 weeks for the item to be delivered to China. Here I am, 58 days later, and I have not received a working item yet. LightInTheBox has refunded me the shipping cost (about $50 - $60). Unfortunately, I have paid over $100 to get the device installed and will have to pay another $100 to get another wiring done or to get the manufacturer radio back in.
I have recently contacted the company to follow up on the current status of the order. I was advised that the item will be processed around June 7. So now, we're past June 7 and I contacted them yet again. I was advised that the item is not available due to the demand. Yes I'm sure that people are dying to buy the same in Dash GPS. I was quite patient with them. The main reason that I purchased this device is for the road trip I'll be on very soon. So I guess if I'm on the road, I'll have no radio/audio player installed.
I have contacted my VISA Company, the one I used to pay for item, and filed complaint to dispute this sale. I was advised that it takes 4 weeks to get the issue resolved. At this point I do not recommend LightInTheBox to other online buyers. I would have defiantly paid the extra $200 and purchased in Dash GPS from Best Buy or Future Shop in my local area. I will defiantly not recommend it to my father and sister who wanted to get in Dash GPS for their car as well.
If LightInTheBox owns up to their promise and Consumer Affairs take serious action, I will post updates to this post and let everyone know how they handled the case. If by any chance that someone from LightInTheBox reads this, I have opened 4 tickets regarding this matter. I'm not sure what difference it would make if someone from LightInTheBox replies to my posting, asking to resolve this matter.
But If you do get a chance to read this, my order number is **. Maybe you can post a reply on how you will resolve this matter. So yes, they have the worst business practice I have dealt with online so far. As I have mentioned above, I had to get the wiring specifically done for the Dash GPS. Now that I do not have it, I will have to get the wiring re-done for either the OEM radio or another one.
At this point I do prefer to get the same device I purchased, but working, so that I don't have to rewire my car. The wiring cost was over a $100.

I ordered a waterproof MP3 player. I received it in about 3 weeks. It does not function. Paypal opened a complaint the same day I received the player. Paypal subsequently closed the complaint. LightInTheBox failed to make contact over a time of 3 weeks. All that I wanted was a replacement that functions. I lost my money. Do not shop with these people. Also, Paypal is useless!

We ordered MP3 players for Christmas, expecting from the website they would be here in 2-3 weeks. When we talked through a live chat with customer service, they said it would take 3 weeks just to process, and then it would be sent. We cancelled our order, just to find out that they still haven't refunded our money and they are even taking more money out of our account. I went to the website to try to contact them again, and I am unable to use the live chat. I am very upset, we spent $32.02, and not only do they have that, they also remain to keep taking money out.

This is with regard to my being ripped off by LightInTheBox.com by their not reimbursing me for any S&H after cutting my order by 60%. I am contacting you due to my frustration of attempting to convey the issue to this business. I have sent numerous emails to both LightInTheBox and PayPal. The business replies the same way each time: "Please check your PayPal account. You were credited for the 3 items." In repeated emails I explained that the issue was not the refunding of the items' amount(s), but a partial refund for the S&H of the items. I have sent them 8 or 9 emails concerning this problem trying to make it as plain and simple as possible.
The last email I sent had the subject: Obtaining refund for shipping and handling (not out of stock item), but the S&H charges. Their reply was the same as before: "Thank you for your letter. We have arranged 3 refunds for you. Please check your account with the following details (where they listed the 3 out of stock items and their price). I have all emails and responses if you would like to see them." In addition, I am very disappointed in PayPal's response to this situation after explaining the situation. Said they understood my aggravation. They advised me to contact the seller. I told them I had and wanted to open a claim. Within 24 hours they sent me an email stating the claim was closed due to the seller stating they had refunded the cost of the 3 items.
