I purchased struts from a reputable company. Only one strut arrived and severely damaged in shipping. No problem, the replacement was incredibly fast but they sent the wrong part. I tried to get this one replaced but eBay will only allow ONE REPLACEMENT! The seller and buyer agreed that the parts needed replacement but eBay closed the case with the first one and will not reopen or even review it. The representative I talk to was unintelligible but after many repeated questions to finally understand, it was clear, she said that the case is closed and nothing can be done. I had to get this replaced through PayPal but had to pay the shipping which was nearly the price of the original part. My business will no longer order through eBay but will deal directly through the sellers. (eBay, here’s my Reference ID #: **). There has been no effort at eBay to assist/discuss/review this with myself or the seller. Case closed.

I found eBay sells reasonable price items; however, it doesn’t work well. Also when I wanted to refund the item, customer service said since it came from China, I had to pay for delivering fees. I end up with keeping the item, but it’s useless. I felt extremely disappointed with ebay. I won’t buy anything from them anymore! Actually, for services and products are much better quality in Amazon!!!!

I recently started selling products on eBay as a small side business. After a dozen sales totaling a few thousand dollars, a buyer claimed they received an empty box. I asked eBay for help. I didn’t even get an email confirmation that they received the request. I also reported it to USPS in the hopes that maybe it was just lost in shipping. Either way the buyer chose not to buy shipping insurance. eBay reserves the right to go into your bank account linked to eBay and take the money from you. They always side with the buyer. It was a 500 dollar auction that I now lost the money I spent on the item. Any scumbag who wants to get free products can simply say they didn’t arrive even when USPS shows it was delivered and still get their money back.

The listing had no refund on it. I did nothing wrong and now I lost 500 dollars. How is that justified? What can you possibly do to prevent this from happening if eBay gives all the buyers a 30 day guarantee no matter if the facts show the item was delivered? Avoid this platform at all costs. There are far too many scammers out there to take the risk if you're a smaller seller with high quality items. If you're selling cheap Chinese products then sure go to eBay and it doesn’t matter if you lose one or two.

I would like to start off my review stating that I've ordered items many times and I've always been pleased with the results. One time I had a t-shirt that was a little too small, but the customer service and company it came from both solved my problem. I have never other than that 1 time had a problem with either my orders, getting ahold of customer service, or had a bad customer service experience. I think eBay is a great legitimate company that works to keep its customers, treat their customers well, and do their best to keep customers happy and coming back. It's one of the few who do that in online shopping. I also have another favorite but now is not the time to review it. I'm very pleased with eBay and I will continue to order merchandise from them far into the future.

My experience with eBay has been terrible. Not only does the technology glitch a lot which wastes a lot of time (entering in postal codes, starting promotions on products, etc), the customer service team can be rude and less than helpful. This company needs to improve glitches on their website. They also need to rehire a new customer service team that has the customer in mind. My account was suspended for absolutely no reason with no explanation. I was treated awful by more than one customer service representative and member of the trust and safety team. I found them very unprofessional and they lost a quality customer.

I purchased a beauty product that stated the box contained a 30 quantity. When I received the product, there was only 15 count. I thought I was going to receive another 15 count, so I used 3 packets. When I didn't receive anything more, I set up a return, then called eBay explaining my situation. I was told by eBay NOT to return the product until I heard back from them. After more than TWO WEEKS of NOT hearing back from eBay, I called again. The return was closed by the seller and I was told to go through PayPal. When I spoke to PayPal, I was told that the seller did try to refund me, but EBAY credited the seller my refund.

I even provided proof in the form of a picture that I was misled by the seller. I sent the picture to eBay. Now I have received a response from eBay that I "failed" to return the product and I need to contact the seller again and go through PayPal for a refund. If I could give eBay and negative 5000 stars, I would! Everything is fine when it's a simple issue, but when it requires some thought and effort, eBay clearly misses the mark by a long shot!

So every purchase you make on there is final and they don't ever warn you that you can't cancel anything unless you sell stuff. Then you can cancel. Too seller friendly. Buyers? Those people that keep our website going? Ah, screw them. So don't even dream about buying something on this site, would rate lower if it was not a 1-5 star thing. I would go as low as 0.00000000001/1,000,000,000,000,000,000. They got lucky not to get a zero. So yeah. Purchases on eBay should be outlawed. I spend lots of time on the phone with eBay. Follow their advice. They tell me not to worry. I am given no chance to respond. I keep getting emails to refund the buyer. I am then told they found for the the buyer and I can call tomorrow speak to their appeals department. There is no such thing, eBay then tell me I can get my money back in 2 ways. eBay has no permission to hold funds of anyone's money after they complete a sale to a customer. They just do this as they wish. It is not worth what they do to your sale of your own merchandise. I am asking for the interest accrued on my five hundred dollar sale. This is an illegal practice. There is no resolve when you ask for your funds. PayPal is actually eBay from India. They are one and the same. It is highly dangerous to let your items sell and have an entity as such tell you what they will do with your proceeds from your very own merchandise you let go of for sale. eBay also takes over your checking account as well. Be very careful.

I've been an eBay customer for 15 years and a seller for about ten years. In March of this year eBay changed its polices, forcing the selling of items using the Buy-It-Now option to automatically relist after 30 days. This led to high relisting fees – 35 cents per item (most of my items, trading cards, sell for $1.50) – which I told them I cannot afford as a small seller. I've tried to daily monitor my account and cancel listings before they auto relist, but some days I'm busy and items then relist. When this happened last month I canceled the listings the next day and asked for a refund of the listing fees. They told me they would do so, but went ahead and charged me overs $120, mostly in listing fees.

Today I contacted them and they just argued and claimed that there are no notes in the system showing I had called, but that they would not have credited me in any case. I said I will stop selling and buying. They don't care. I looked at their community boards and there are many notices from other sellers complaining about this same issue.

Having a tracking number means nothing without shipping movement thru the system of delivery. I've had a number of Asiapost refunds to my PayPal that never showed anything more than just the tracking number. Of course it this appears fraudulent because it maybe. As directed by eBay rules in such cases, return shipment is paid by seller. However, the seller refused to pay the return shipment. They only refunded me .42 cents. They still owe me $7.30+ more money. This money was returned to me as part of an eBay Guarantee that one of their sellers lied and never refunded me on a return, so they stepped in and gave me a coupon, but it was my money I spent and never got an item, they are not returning MY money. I have called about 5 times now about this refund, promised many times that in 2 days or 48 hours, or 72 hours to get my refund, all which never resulted in a refund. The calling, waiting, empty promises, never refunding me, almost a month now.

This company has major problems. Amazon is so much better about refunds quickly. eBay is not respectful of its customers or giving them their refunds. Plus they use PayPal which complicates refunds which they think we received when we really didn't. I do not recommend buying on eBay anymore. All lies and weeks to get a refund that belongs to you. They allow a lot of bad sellers sell on their site who do not fulfill the sales. So I did, and several attempts the seller finally said there weren't any issues with their Paypal. So I called eBay back and they said they would contact the seller for me and explain what they needed to do. I probably tried 15 times to pay for the item, always getting the same error.

Several weeks passed and I really needed a new filter for my reverse osmosis system so I purchased another one from a different website. I also left a negative feedback for the seller warning others that their Paypal account isn't set up to accept payments. Now about a month later I just received an Unpaid Item dispute case against me. The negative feedback I left also disappear from their account. I talked to eBay for a 3rd time. They said I would have to call back after the case is closed to get it removed from my account. After I complained and said I should be compensated for this disaster of an experience they offered me a $5 credit. What a dog and pony show. Now I don't think I'll be buying anything else from eBay after this terrible experience.

The seller said that they would not give me a refund and that I need to pay $7.50 to send out a replacement. I never received the item in the first place so why would I get sent a replacement and why would I pay $7.50 more to ship something to my address if it was sent back in the first place? I brought this issue up to eBay saying I just want my money back since they have the No Risk Policy. I received an email ten minutes later saying they closed the case and that I would not receive a refund. Have been buying and selling on eBay for over 20 years. More recently it has become a scammers paradise. More and more frequently, I have encountered buyers purchasing item, and opening a claim and sending a different item back. This is happening more and more frequently, especially with eBay's new and improved “buyer first” mentality. I recently contacted eBay, after a buyer opened a case against the sale. Item was sold as is, for parts. Buyer was informed that item was untested and did not work before I accepted his offer for 1/4 of the price of a standard working unit.

Item was purchased, and buyer sent messages from a country I do not ship to, Russia to be exact, nothing but issues there. That he had taken item apart beyond mfg’s Guidance to attempt repair. He was unsuccessful. After an immediate resolution in buyer's favor, I was informed that yes, they know it was not fair, and they “understood” it’s been happening a lot. But they could not help. Item was returned in pieces, with obvious tampering of internal parts. At this point I am shutting my eBay account, until they can again offer protection from this type of fraud and seller abuse. It is unfortunately their own fault that less and less people are using the site, in favor of competition. The competition actually cares about the people who make their business model work.

I printed their shipping label once and the post office charged me the difference between what they thought it should be and what it actually was. Now I just lost more money. I quoted a $91 shipping fee for a bulky item and they charged the buyer $85. I'll probably lose more when I actually send it. Who in H. do they think they are to dictate what shipping charges are when there is no way for them to see what I am shipping. I furious and will not be selling anything more on e-bay.

Ebay always sides on the buyer's side so I sent the customer a return label to ship the item back to me. After, not receiving the item back, the item was refunded back to the seller. On top of that, I tried to get at least the final value fee credited back to me and they said that they could not even refund the final value fee after it has gone through the resolutions team. I have been a long time ebay member and bought and sold items for years and will no longer do business with Ebay for this horrible experience. I just wanted to get at least the final value fee of $4.24 credit back and they would not even give me that courtesy. Penalized 3 times for a sale is not fair.

The seller provided me with the necessary return paperwork and I promptly returned the merchandise. Paypal claims there is nothing they can do since a case was filed with my credit card company. My credit card claim was closed when seller promised to pay the refund. So, if the parcel did not arrive before 50 days leave negative feedback for other buyers. Otherwise, you will not have a chance to do so.

I’ve had numerous situations lately where there were holds on my money for weeks after items were delivered. I was told over and over they would release the funds and it would credit within 24 hours. Two weeks later and 4 phone calls, still nothing. They also charged me 67 dollars in seller fees on items that did not sale. Yet again I was told the $67 would be credited to my account as seller fees typically come out of the purchase price and the item did NOT sale. Someone bid on the item two different occasions and never paid so the listings were cancelled..again the rep says “it will post back to your account within 24 hours.” Another week later and I’m still sitting here without any of the money Ebay owes me. I mean what the actual???? If this isn’t resolved very soon, I’ll be reporting this to the BBB. Use amazon. Sell and buy on amazon. These issues do not happen there.

All I was asking was for my shipping address to be corrected. I must have called eBay at least 10 times. They were totally unhelpful. They made promises that were not kept, and each time I called I got the same parroted responses. I had written to the seller directly asking for my shipping address to be corrected. The seller completely ignored my messages.

When I asked eBay for help, they declined repeatedly to do anything until the seller had more time to respond. Needless to say, the item was delivered to the wrong address. And to add insult to injury, they cheated me out of approximately $5 when they finally deigned to refund my money. I will NEVER buy through eBay again! Caveat emptor! Let the buyer beware.

What is more annoying is they say they take action over this but can not tell you what action sellers with bad feedback and complaints which outline the same thing. eBay see this but still have seller doing the same things again and again. They're more interested in making commission of a sale and spinning us a load of rubbish.

Once again we have had to spend hours and hours dealing with an issue that eBay should have sorted out in five seconds flat. Amongst the issues we have regularly with eBay is the lack of knowledge of its agents - we can often be told completely different things by different agents - and we have to repeat ourselves time after time. I am not exaggerating when I say that often problems can take in excess of TEN hours of calling to sort out - Crazy!! And I am certain that they make it so hard because most people would actually just give up rather than put themselves through all the grief. Sellers should particularly watch out for buyers from abroad as when a problem arises it is the buyers countries eBay which is tasked with sorting the issue out. This simply doesn't work as they do not have a decent enough grasp of even the basic eBay rules and will simply side with their buyer.

The biggest single issue we have however is that eBay do not accept complaints. If we messed any one of our many thousands of eBay customers around for even a fraction of the grief they have put us through we'd be banned from selling with them forever and with good reason. However eBay themselves can mess you around till kingdom come but there is a ZERO complaints procedure. There is simply nothing anyone can do about it. Ebay's customer service is a farce - I am disgusted with them.

Today we tried to order the following item on eBay; 2010-2013 Kia Forte Ac Heater Climate Control Unit 97250-1MXXX $63.48. One family member used 3 credit cards today trying to purchase the item above that would not process. He also used his spouse’s card to no avail. He called eBay and PayPal and got a runaround. He then called me (as he needed this part very fast) and I tried to order it as a Guest but my 2 credit cards (both in good standing) were rejected.

My PayPal account expired years ago so I created a new one. No luck in getting that to accept my credit card or helping with the order. I too called eBay (2X) who blamed the bank, the credit cards, the seller then PayPal. I called PayPal. They gave me the same runaround then saying it was an eBay problem. Solution: We went to the seller's website and ordered it there even though it cost us $9 more plus $11 in shipping.

This was the worse experience we have ever had with an online purchase. Amazon you are not. BTW, I did try to sign in with my old eBay email and password but it couldn’t find it, no doubt expired due to non-use. My wife and I were very active in eBay several years ago and were planning to go back on eBay to do some selling. Instead I’ll cancel my newly created PayPal account and take my online business elsewhere. Your business model and concern for the little customers is absolutely dismissal. I am sorry for those buyers who have had bad experiences with eBay purchases. I am a seller, eBay's Customer. I leave two stars because eBay has lost the vision of who they are which was a place for those to find items that are difficult to find, collectibles and items no longer produced at great prices. The items you do not see on other sites. Somewhere along the way they have decided they want to be like Amazon. The changes to do that have harmed the seller, the buyer and the quality of the site in whole.

Fraudulent transactions have been their biggest nemesis causing distrust and friction between buyer and seller. I can say without doubt I have at least 3 transactions a month or more of a fraudulent nature in which I am out the product, the money and the shipping. The seller is very aware that many folks file false returns arming themselves with eBay policies and using them in a way to manipulate a free item. This has caused sellers to be very alert for any whiff of suspicious activity thus causing friction, distrust and just a bad buying atmosphere for the buyers. I would need a few pages to spell out the exact mechanisms of the dysfunction in detail but they were all brought on by a vision to be like Amazon.

As a seller I also buy on eBay but honestly it's been a hassle looking for stuff when it's cluttered with somewhat related Chinese items that you cannot even filter out since eBay has provided warehousing of their products in the USA rendering the filter by USA useless. Just saying? But hey, I am sure Walmart could become Saks Fifth Ave and the Mets can become the Yankees no problem, right? Matter of fact Walmart would probably do better if it were adjacent to Macy's in the mall would it not? All I am saying is eBay has totally lost its vision trying to become something it will never ever be and I am not sure they can even turn back at this point.

I would like to share a pretty horrible experience I had with selling on eBay. I am repairing and selling used computers, and I had an eBay account setup to list them. I am a 16 year old (which eBay considers as a minor), but the account and payments were being managed by an adult (my mom). Since I was doing the computer repair work and writing the ads, the account was in my name. I had been using this account for about 2 months now, and had completed 11 sales. The website had given me no warning at all that the account shouldn't be in the name of anyone younger than 18. So I had no idea of the rule.

One day (Aug 1, 2019) I had to call eBay customer support for help with the selling limit for a single category (computers). The customer service person instead tried to increase my total monthly selling limit, which was already much more than I even have to sell. In doing so, she asked me my age. When I replied 16, she immediately suspended the account, saying that minors are not allowed to have an eBay account. We (my mom and I) called eBay customer support back the next morning to clarify to them that the account was being managed by an adult, not a minor, and that the account should hence be reinstated. But the customer service person didn't listen, saying that the account should have been in my mom's name in the first place.

He refused to help with anything, including giving us access to the ads created with the old account so that we can copy and paste them into a listing under the new account so that we don't have to retype everything. He also said that he couldn't change the account name to my mom's name. He kept saying that we have to "just" create a new account, as if that is easy. Creating an account means starting everything all over for us! So in one shot, eBay has done us four serious wrongs: deleting all of the listing content (which means we have to re-create all of it, which will take several days), and two, erasing my spotless feedback record, which means that we have to go through the category limits of 1 (!) item per month for 90 days, all over again (under the new account). I have several items piling up at home, because eBay only lets us sell 1 computer per month. 90 days is a very long time to have to wait all over again.

Third, they blocked me from communicating with the people who bought items from us, so that I cannot even provide any support to them if they have a problem with our items. I had one such case going on, where the item arrived having been damaged in transit and I was writing him messages on how to make it work. I promised during the sales that I would provide support if anything goes wrong, and eBay is preventing me from fulfilling that promise. Fourth, they have blocked me from returning items that I bought but do not work, even though the sellers have a 30-day guarantee. I have a few such items, and have to swallow the loss instead of using the sellers' guarantee, because of eBay's account suspension.

eBay's customer service has been absolutely useless to us in resolving any of these issues. They are not able to undo the damage caused by their mistake, of assuming that there is no adult managing the account. If eBay’s website had at least told us about the age requirement while signing up, we would have started the account under my mom’s name in the first place. Instead it let us put so much effort into it before deleting it all. We are now forced to use other platforms (like Amazon) to sell, at least until 90 days are up. If anyone from eBay is reading this, I hope you can find some solution to this problem.

I was looking for why my eBay bucks weren't working. They didn't come up on the checkout menu, as the website said they would. I looked and looked and looked for why. I did find the page in eBay Bucks which told me the amount of credit I had accrued in the past 2 weeks. But I couldn't find ANY information as to how to use them. I couldn't find the certificate either. So I called it in to the call center. I had a super frustrating interaction with a young woman from the call center who argued with everything I said. She'd come back with a "... but," discounting my experience every time. This is poor customer relationship service behavior, to say the least.

Oh, did you know that there is an eBay pull down at the *top* of the screen which is *different than the one on the left side of the screen?* Now, why didn't I just know that? Two My eBay menus which show different options - what brilliant design (sarcasm). This is what is known user-UNfriendly and bad web design. Oh, and the young woman at the call center didn't know it either - she kept pointing me to the wrong place! (And then arguing with me when I said it wasn't in the top pull-down menu. Arguing and arguing.)

Then when I got to the eBay Bucks page, the explanation for how eBay Bucks works is as clear as mud. There is nowhere wherein either clear English or visual representation that it says how eBay Bucks works. Tell you what eBay, I'll put it in simple and clear words for you. How eBay Bucks works: You accrue eBay Bucks over a 3-month period, after which you can redeem the certificate. For example: For purchases made in July, August & September, your eBay bucks will accrue, but they will not be available to use until October. eBay will send an email notice when they are available at the end of the accrual period. It's that simple to say, eBay. Very frustrated eBayer - ugh!

This is a basic software program glitch that eBay should have corrected long ago. When filling out an address for eBay and you miss an essential block of info, the program should automatically notify you of the missing info and require its addition. eBay's program did not do that, hence the problem. I find this very disconcerting.

When payment is received from the buyer, it loads to my PayPal account, then I purchase the label from eBay. My first shipment was delivered, and positive feedback left. Received to payments yesterday, and purchased labels again, via eBay. The next day, another payment comes in. Ebay has placed a hold on the funds, until the shipment is received. Apparently, I’m being “punished”, because I only have 5 sales. They will arbitrarily hold your funds, at any time, until you reach 90 sales. This should have been stated upfront! Never would have start selling. Plus, PayPal is owned by eBay. I’m done buying or selling on eBay. I’ll go back to Amazon Prime! Unsatisfied eBay customer!

I don't care about drop shippers as long as they are honest about the location. Amazon doesn't have a lot of item. eBay has. But at least they don't put up with stuff like this.

I have been a small scale seller and buyer on eBay since 2012, with 229 positive feedback (100%). I had recently won an item that was over $300 from an auction. After winning, I realized I had made a rookie mistake of buying and paying before checking the seller's feedback, a first for me. The seller had recently opened an account, did not have any feedback, and was listed as a seller in the US. A bit suspicious, but I figured I would wait and see.

The seller ended up uploading tracking information a few days later, in which it was from a foreign post office and a foreign tracking number. A bit odd coming from a seller supposedly in the US. Ten days after the expected delivery date, USPS listed the item as delivered in a mailbox at my zip code. It did not list it as delivered to my address, only delivered to the zip code. I checked my mailbox and the item was not there.

I waited until the next day to see if USPS had mistakenly marked it as delivered and to see if it would show up. It did not. I then contacted them, in which they notified me that there was no package scheduled to be delivered to my personal address. I asked them to see if they could see where the package was delivered using the tracking number, and they said that the sender, not the intended recipient, should contact them.

I contacted the seller and explained the situation. I asked for package details and for them to confirm the address they shipped it to. I never received a response. I opened a case and sent another message. No response. I asked eBay to step in, and they decided in the seller's favor since the tracking number shows it was delivered to my zip code. The thing is, there are over a thousand residences in that area, so that is not proof that it was delivered to me.

I checked online and found that this is a common scam. A seller will make a new account, sell a somewhat expensive item, and then ship a piece of junk mail to an address in the buyer's zip code (but not the buyer's actual address). USPS will deliver it to that address, and the recipient will likely throw it away as it is usually just a piece of junk. However, the system will show it as delivered to that town/zip code, which is enough for eBay to side with them. USPS won't help, since the package was not addressed to you and the sender is the one required to contact them. eBay does not require the sender/seller to respond to you or contact the USPS. This is a big loophole in their policy, and one that scammers will likely readily take advantage of.

So the moral of my story is that while many of the eBay community members are wonderful, there are some scammers out there. You must stay vigilant and try to spot any potential scammers before committing to a purchase. If you are scammed, don't expect eBay to help. As a long-term member, I am absolutely disappointed in how eBay handled the situation and did not offer any help or suggestions whatsoever.

I really wish I could get an American (that speaks English as a first language) on the phone and maybe I would have the patience to go through all the thousand steps. I have had nothing but poor experiences as an eBay seller; of 17 sales, I've had to call customer service three times because the funds from buyers wouldn't be deposited into my account. Of course, eBay still charged me a percentage of the sales price, even when I had not been paid and was processing a refund for buyers who had their card charged.

Ebay also sided with a buyer who claimed they had not received their package from me (tracking was provided), that someone had stolen the item from their porch. So I, at the time, a high school student saving to get drivers ed classes, was out a $200 item plus $20 shipping. Another time I sold a book for 99 cents, and I went to see my eBay fees, and despite having 50 free listings, it charged me for the listing, plus a part of the sale price. I got 20 cents, and I had to ship the item, so I actually lost money. A few cents isn't worth calling up customer service, but hell if that didn't make me angry.

I find it amusing that eBay tells you "how much you saved" using their label, and right underneath that is a big ol' red deduction fee for said label. They intentionally overcharge for their shipping as well, but if you offer free shipping and add it to the cost of the item, eBay just takes a chunk of that through sale price. I notice the percent they take away is never consistent. You can't get away from the theft. I also find their automated system irritating, getting spammed with "lower your prices by 5%" and other related messages. The listing tool is a pain to use as well, as you have no choice but to use their search bar.

Now that eBay is even more popular than before buyers find ways to scam the system and even worse, eBay has the nerve to charge you (the seller) on the front and back end of the transaction. The fees are so high that by the time you pay eBay fees and shipping & handling fees, it's no longer profitable to sell on eBay. I’ve since started listed things locally on apps like Letgo or Facebook. So, I refuse to even buy from eBay unless I absolutely can't find it elsewhere. In 2014 eBay was sued for a unspoken buyer always wins policy. After having numerous other problems with eBay and continuing to sell on their platform I ran into the final straw. I sold and shipped a item and the buyer reported it as defective and wanted to return it. On all my items it specifically states no returns not because the items aren't good but because as a small merchant accepting returns and having to eat the cost of return shipping with already low margins of profit would kill my business. I immediately thought that the item was damaged in shipping so I responded to the customer that there was $50 of insurance, which would completely cover the expenses he had incurred and that I was extremely sorry for the inconvenience.

This was deemed unsatisfactory and eBay decided that the return would still be processed even with a no returns policy. Upon receiving the item back I was shocked to see that the item worked perfectly fine and operated exactly how it was supposed to. After submitting video of the item in perfect operating condition eBay determined that the refund would still take place based on what the buyer said instead of the complete facts that it was a perfect functioning item that was shipped in brand new condition.

After speaking and communicating via email extensively with many customer support "specialist" there has still been no resolution and I have been stuck with a item that is significantly devalued due to no longer being in new condition. My seller fees were never refunded. My shipping materials and expenses were never refunded. And to add insult to monetary injury I was left with negative feedback on a otherwise sterling reputation as a seller. I spent countless hours trying to accommodate the buyer and eBay both as I take great pride in everything I do in life and in return my time was wasted and money was automatically drafted to refund the buyer for a item that was fully protected throughout the shipping process and in perfect order. I would recommend anyone that is considering selling on eBay to look elsewhere because there are no protections for you on eBay. The best interest of the customer is the only thing they respect.

Failure 3. The item I bought had a larger size on the label than it should have. That caused a lot of confusion. It was not the size on that item's eBay listing. Apparently the manufacturer caused confusion by using two different terms for the same size on the same item. This issue wasn't caused by eBay or the seller, but they could have dealt with it better. I'd rather they put energy on stuff like that rather than sending me spam.

Failure 4. Because eBay's sign in/transaction portal failed repeatedly, I could not generate a return label. The return I started apparently finally went through. It wasn't clear at the time though.

Failure 5. Due to eBay technical fails, I could not cancel the return when it turned out that the mislabeled item was actually the correct size. I had to ask the seller to do so.

Failure 6. This caused eBay to send some scary legalistic form emails, as if there was an adverse proceeding.

Failure 7. eBay sent me a link to take a customer survey. I certainly had a few things to say. When I clicked on the link, my "invitation" to take the survey had expired.

Failure 8. Which led to this review. Whoever is running eBay seems to be working for Amazon.

eBay facilitates their sellers in their efforts to rip off their buyers by allowing them to falsely advertised products that do not exist from the seller whereby the buyer buy these products, finds out that they don't exist, then eBay allows the seller 14 days or better to make a reimbursement and or a refund. The seller now has your money in their bank account collecting interest on it. Even if they have to reimburse you your money they've already made hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars off your money and interest and haven't sold you one thing but a bunch of BS. I canceled my eBay account and I cancelled my PayPal account because of these shenanigans. I personally will never buy one thing from eBay again and or do business with their subsidiary PayPal. My advice, beware. Find another online shopping method other than eBay.

When I want to speak to their managers, they hand up on me! If you did this at Amazon for example, they would almost beg you to stay with them and sell on their platform, but eBay is pushing its customers, users and sellers away, and don't value them at all!

Management should really take this seriously and take further actions, as this will not end well and people will turn away from eBay on the longer term... My suggestion is for other users, sellers, etc. is to try alternative platforms where they love to have you! eBay does not value its customers and sellers, so be prepared when you deal with eBay...

I was a seller on eBay and I had listed the series 3 Apple Watch. Excited from all the views and watchlist numbers I was optimistic that I would sell the item quickly. Offers started to come in which would normally be a good thing but the offers were more than I priced the watch at. This was something I did not quite understand so I didn’t pay attention to the outrageous offers. I then started to get offers that were lower than the listing price so I thought that now we’re getting realistic. I gave counteroffers and I finally thought I found a real buyer and not a scammer. I sold the item and eBay claimed that the payment was there but it would have a hold because I was a new seller. I was informed once the item was seen as the delivered then the payment would be release to my account. So I ship the item, include the tracking number for the item and literally 20 minutes after I shipped it eBay sends an email saying I sold to a scam account.

I then called eBay to get some clarification on what I needed to do and if I was still getting the money I promised was on hold. No one knew what to do. I talked to 6 different representatives, growing frustrated and angry as the calls progressed. No one knew what to do so I hang up and drive 35 minutes back to the post office to see if I could stop the shipment which I did. The Post office then charged me additional fees for retrieving the package. At this point I was furious, so I called eBay back to tell them everything I went through and they put me through 2 more representatives until they tell me they can offer me a “coupon” for the fees I had to pay. I then informed them that a coupon cannot translate into physical money back in my pocket that I needed for everyday life.

I was so confused on why the money that they claimed was on “hold” wasn’t going to go into my account even if I shipped the item and I did everything that they require first time sellers to do In order to receive payment. My question was to them where is the money that was on hold for me when I sold the item and they had no response. I DO NOT SUGGEST ANYONE BUY OR SELL ON EBAY. THEY HAVE NO WAY OF COMBATING THE SCAM PROBLEMS ON THE BUYER'S SIDE OR THE SELLER'S SIDE.

I had been looking at an auction for a week (with the page open on my computer) and there was a code that said "pay less - show me how - and then the code". I won the auction and applied the code at checkout. When I applied it at checkout it first went through on the checkout page, but when I logged in to PayPal it was deleted. Because I always like to pay immediately, I paid and then contacted customer support.

Daizy of customer support didn't understand what happened so she contacted the Marketing Team and they had the audacity to say that the code was invalid, basically implicitly calling me a liar or a cheater because I had said that I had the page open in front of me with the code all week and in spite of a screenshot I had taken of how the code was applied at checkout (before PayPal) and in spite of the code STILL being on all listings in the same category and also all listings of the same seller.

Daizy had "ordered" me to reply to her email with the outcome of what the Marketing Team had said, so I did. I told Daizy that I wanted to escalate the problem (which was my right as a consumer), but she stopped communication with me, basically agreeing with the Marketing Team that they were right and I was wrong, and refused to tell me how I could escalate the problem.

I later contacted support again and spoke to another person who said they would contact their Manager, who saw that the code was applied, but asked for a proof of the exact code, although eBay staff is able to see codes even if they did not go through, and I know this for sure because in my first live chat with Daizy she said that she could see that the code PRANCE had been applied but did not reflect in the system. She could see it, but they couldn't? Luckily I had a transcript of the conversation so I sent them a proof and I have not heard back from them since they got the proof they were asking for. A total rip-off that will be reported to the proper authorities next week if I don't receive a satisfactory reply by the end of Friday. The only positive aspect is that I am finally done with eBay and their deceitful tactics, so they won't rip me off again.

I was a Fraud Analyst, we never saw as much scams as we did out of here. Lady bought my 2 Blazers, USPS Priority, says only 1 came. Doesn't want to return, wants another Blazer I have for sale sent to her, Priority, for Free. No way. Ask "was package open?" "No", "tape gone?" "No", then how did only 1 Blazer disappear, from a closed package, no damage? She informed me it was possible.

I informed her she must be a Professional Illusionist for such a thing to happen. Even threw some David Copperfield her way, knew I'm getting bad feedback.

Said for her to make a USPS claim, of course, not gonna involve them, the govt., in her scam. So I made one. She mailed back her 1 Blazer, kept other stolen one for free, then USPS honored my claim after questioning her on the loss, so I was out no money. Sold that Blazer again. eBay sees whole conversation, says Buyer seems "Suspicious", then did nothing.

A Buyer didn't like the incense she bought from me, posted that I made this incense, Nag Champa Made in India, in my home. Yep. Another bought 10 boxes, burned it all, wanted a full refund. Told me no one in her temple liked it either. Yet they use every last stick, and free burners I sent her. If you buy on eBay, never use your PAYPAL BALANCE, if you have one. Most Sellers carry a Balance, never use this to buy anything. Why? You lose your chance for a Chargeback/Dispute/Reversal.

I used mine to pay a cell phone bill, one of those Take Any Phones to Any Company, yet my phone wouldn't work with this one co. They wouldn't refund my months of phone bills, PayPal sided with them, and I'd used my balance to pay. No more. Never use that balance. Always use a Visa, MC, Amex, or Discover. Then if you pay for say an Apple iPhone, but you receive a shipping box filled with dirt, or a plastic phone back, guess who will believe you? Not eBay, not PayPal, your Credit Card Issuer is your chance.

You never know when you're going to get ** on. I sell on ebay full time and at first I thought i could actually make a living doing this. Technically it can be done, but you better have a connection to products for peanuts or it's not worth it. Even buying an item on clearance at a retail store for 75% off, you will not profit after fees. And if you're lucky enough to find a good source to bulk items, you still wont "get rich". You just sold a smartphone you paid $50 for, and flipped it for $500? Well dont spend that money, because when they get the charger port wet and it no longer charges 29 days later, RETURN REQUEST.

There is no seller protection whatsoever. The "appeals department" is a bunch of flat out liars. The only way you will win your appeal is if you demand to speak to a manager, not a supervisor, but a manager. If/When they tell you one is not available but will call you back, tell them no, you'll wait. I hate what eBay has become. I never bothered getting refunded for the golden goose because so much time has passed and I paid 300 for them. eBay needs to have these items shipped to them first for a significant authentication process before they release the money to the seller. If the item is fake, they refund, and if it is real, they will ship it out with a card of authentication by their team. Unless the authenticator can see it personally, it is too difficult to tell nowadays. Either way, eBay needs a better system to protect their buyers.

Have bought coins historically w/ eBay years ago. Any issue taken care of right away. Needing clothing items to fill in my wardrobe after lost weight. Not such a good idea. Sellers' standards are poor and eBay does not support buyers, but protect and ad lib for sellers info that is untrue. Wow. Buying Specialist/Lead Consultant like being in room with Japanese WWII torturer, demanding I admit to her rewriting history and agree with her. Very aggressive. First off, have received about six items total of which two were very soiled. Expect this is not important to eBay. Hair and old perfume, and filthy dirty clothes not a concern to sellers, "return it", sufficient after I washed it and liked the item.

Secondly is Sellers will take your money, post they have mailed the "top" when they have added it back onto their "store" with price increase of $7.47, saying it is in the mail. Then got a message after the holiday week-end that the Seller cancelled the sale (remember delivery said had started three days earlier) and were sending me a refund. This seems to be not surprising or untoward by eBay. The Seller had blocked my access to talk to them about the top being advertised on their site when they report to my purchase history it was shipped.

Same Seller was apparently insulted that my Bid for another clothing item, jeans, was too low. The bid history shows they said they would accept a price of $17.50 which I agreed to pay but then they upped the price and reported to eBay that I agreed to pay $1.49 more than the price they agreed to accept, while denying the bid of $17.50 when I have it in print from their bid history. eBay said I agreed to pay more and that I failed their rules. Does this make sense? Dirty clothes, smelly clothes and have to debate with aggressive eBay staff demanding that I accept her interpretation show much favoritism and protecting the seller. She ignored the fact the Seller is not made to hold to their bidding price in both cases, one taking payment then returning it without consulting with me for an explanation. Same seller for both the top and the jeans.

The eBay staff treated me so aggressively as if she was trained interrogation in getting confessions from political prisoners. Boy, What a Kafka experience. Think I will be done shopping on eBay. Stupid to buy even new clothes on eBay since all manufacturers have different sizing and can never tell how they will fit. Then knowing that 33% will arrive filthy, dirty and smelly needing immediate cleaning. If you are allergic to perfume do not shop there. They said no dogs or smoking in home of clothing. Really, how can they assure this.

I wrote them a complaint itemizing things that happened on one day much of it about the seller mentioned with the top and jeans, and the dirty top from another seller that had to be washed immediately. Shoes from a store were Asia size 8, not US, and could not even get my foot into them. AT first I was told I had to pay for shipping return. New shoes name brand seemed safe to order for my neuropathic feet. But never again will order shoes.

Seems we should buy locally if at all possible. I really thought I was doing a smart thing til I see how the Seller can make false allegations and play games, and get threatened over late payment on a bid top of two days for a $5.25 top, threatened my eBay shopping privileges may be terminated. They want to block my access to return more defective items that are due to arrive in the mail for sure. Never buy used or even so called New Without Tag, NWT, items. Seems even the brands are counterfeited. So called exclusive name brand pants were knock offs.

If you like paying shipping more than the cost of the item too it is foolish. Shipping sometimes free but not when you return items, and many items not returnable. Why shop there for clothes? I was going to look for a Rice Cooker but Smiths had just the right size and price the next day and bought it. No shipping, and works great and price lower than I can find on eBay or Amazon. Shop locally, shop for your community jobs and businesses and get to touch it and examine it and have the business close if it fails. Picture on a screen is just not sensory enough to know what the heck you are getting.

I am a repetitively new seller on eBay. I love shoes, unfortunately developed a foot neuroma recently, and can no longer wear my favorite heels. I decided to list a nearly brand new pair of Christian Louboutin "so Kate" heels, for a fraction of what they are actually worth. Keep in mind these shoes go for 1000's of dollars, have been worn 3 times, and I sold them to my buyer for $200. I listed 7 descriptive pictures along with text description of the shoes. The seller fought me on price, but I decided to let her get a great bargain.

The funds were about to be released to my bank from Paypal, when I found out she had filed a return request. She was stating that the shoes weren't as pictured, that they were in fact a different style. I had selected the "no returns" box on this listing. I attached 4 pictures from a google search explaining what traits make the shoe the particular style, as well as pictures of the shoe from different angles. She refused to cancel her return request. I have called customer service 3 times, spoken with 2 customer service agents as well as a supervisor. They all took a look at my listing as well as the proof I sent to the buyer, and all agreed she filed a false claim, and I should wait 4 more days to ask eBay to step in.

Fast forward 4 days, turns out my buyer decided she didn't like the shoes, bought a different pair, and it is a "buyers remorse" claim. They now want me to PAY to have her return the shoes. At this point she has had the shoes for about 10 days, there is no telling how much she decided to wear them around town, I was told if the shoes return back to me in poor condition, I will get my money she owes me for the shoes. I said, "well that is fine and good, but those shoes are high end, and depreciate every time you wear them, I will likely not be able to resell them. I can't wear them because of my foot. Now how am I protected as a seller, because I feel taken advantage of?" Of course they all had no answer.

This is a ridiculous policy, what eBay is doing would basically be allowing a customer to order a meal, eat the entire thing, and then claim it was disgusting; they actually wanted something different and demand a refund. Why do buyers get all the protection to be deceptive, dishonest and take advantage of sellers? I will not be selling anything ever again on eBay.

I was also told if they did send a label it would take at least 30 days or more to get it. That does not make sense to me, and is poor customer service. The customer rep also suggested I ask a friend to print it out for me. Actually, eBay is responsible, and, in my opinion, this request should not be a problem for a company that sells items like eBay. It should be a courtesy they are happy to extend to a requesting customer. I was also told I had to have the item back to the company by June 4 which is not very much time.

The customer service rep was nice but kept repeating the same thing -- there was no "understanding" acknowledgement as to my end of it which was a bit frustrating to me, and which is why I prefer to speak to a representative in the U.S. where I live rather than overseas. I was told they could not connect me to someone in the U.S., but that I could try to call back on my own, again, and perhaps get someone. This really makes me not want to purchase with eBay, and I am disappointed with their customer service protocols and, overall, replies. Thank you. Ingrid **

    “Computers make noise”.
“It’s not the cpu fan that is making noise. It’s one of the top fans or exhaust fans”, “You can unplug it if you don’t like the noise”. It turned out was the CPU fan.
“I don’t think the wifi card has a 5Ghz band”.
"I’m sorry but I’m not going to refund you 1200 to make this go away".
"What do I have to do to get you to remove the negative feedback?" I’m not removing the negative feedback no matter what.
"If the system actually stops working contact me so I can repair it".
"I’m not taking the system back".
“I’m sorry but I can’t help you with that". Then who can possibly help me with it.
"There’s nothing you can do for the cpu fan unless you change to a liquid cooler or an after market cooler". So you knew this is going to happen and went ahead with it.
"The listing never stated it had a liquid cooler". I don’t need to know that either. I’ve paid for a perfect working system not computer parts.
"I'ts just the fan. You can unplug it if you don't like the noise".
"I refused your buyer remorse return.”
"Your return is a buyer's remorse reason”.
    “I don’t accept buyer's remorse returns”.
I don’t know what buyer remorse return means when I explained to him clearly what’s actually happening with the computer he shipped to me.
“I do accept returns for defective products". This one is definitely a defective product.
"Computer fans make noise its common".
"Please stop contacting me and harassing me".
So, in seller's opinion I am the one who harasses people. The customer is harassing the seller with refund requests. Can you imagine that?

    "End of Discussion".

Excuse me? With a customer who paid $1200 for a brand new computer from you? I admit I was fooled because I checked his feedback and it was only one customer who wrote "Warranty no good". I should've thought twice about that. In seller’s opinion if a computer turns on it’s an excellent product. Don’t worry with the noise or aspect. Call me back when it completely stops working. Actually is more to it but I would like to get to the point here. Why is this happening to me right now? Because eBay updated their policy I believe or I wasn't aware of it that a seller, who specifies No Returns Accepted, in his ad it's the only person who can decide on a return item. eBay’s Customer Service has no power over the sale. Of course he denied my return request and case closed regarding eBay's part. I called customer service again and they advised me to call PayPal and open a case in Resolution Center.

So here I am with a faulty computer in my house and no return possibilities so far. I'm digging further than that because the faith of a customer cannot be left in the hands of a unprofessional seller with no business ethics or skills to deliver what the customer paid for. I do not want the seller to repair the computer either. He has already proved to me what he is capable of in terms of computer assembling or troubleshooting. Because some of his customers left him positive feedback doesn’t mean they don’t have problems. People leave positive feedback on a whim. I did it too with other sellers and highly regretted afterwards.

My last resort is either Paypal or the credit card company who I hope they have a purchase protection on this card. If they don’t I’m not using the card ever again. At this time as I’m writing this message to you I’m not aware of their policy because I haven’t contacted them yet. I just want to make you aware of eBay’s policy on No Return Accepted on sellers’ ads because I don’t want anybody to go through what I went through with this seller. In other words they can sell you any junk they want as soon as you press “Buy It Now” button. Bottom line, don’t press that button or you are on for the Nightmare that follows. Dare to do that.

eBay and seller broke the eBay rules and policies for more than once what concerns my case. I purchased 2 diamonds for around 4500$. Seller didn't ship this diamonds for 30 days. I complained to eBay but eBay told me to wait more days. Then seller send me request to cancel this purchase. I refuse to accept his request and I wanted my diamonds. So he shipped to me fake glass stone (cubic zirconia) instead of real diamonds. I opened return request and seller accepted to give me full refund. And seller uploaded return shipping address. I shipped to this address that seller wrote and then I waited for 2 weeks. Then I realised that seller did not receive his item back because he gave me fake address. The address that seller uploaded doesn't even exist on Google maps. But thanks to God I made screenshot of his FAKE return shipping address. Thanks to God I shipped with registered post office with signature requested.

Thanks God I have legal proof from post office that I shipped to exactly the same address that seller uploaded. Thanks to God that I recorded how eBay customer service was treating me disrespectfully. I am serious buyer on eBay for approx 5 years who spend lot of money on diamonds and natural gems and jewelry tools. So what happened next, asked eBay to step in. I told them on the phone that I have all legal proofs that I have shipped back this two diamonds. I explained them everything. But they decided to close this case and not give me refund!??? So I called my lawyer and he advised me to check this seller on eBay, so I did. And guess what, this seller is not selling anything on eBay anymore. He always had approx 50 - 100 diamonds on sale but not anymore. Not even one diamond, absolutely nothing. He just disappeared!

So my lawyer told me, "That's why customer service rejected your refund because they cannot take money from seller who is not selling anything on eBay anymore. That is why they treated you like garbage." So I tried to complain on eBay case decision but they again decided to close the case without refunding me money. I made around 5 calls to customers service, all they say, "We will call you back." But they never do. Now my lawyer is writing official letter to eBay and if eBay don't respond we are going to the court where all evidence will be realised. If you would like to check this case and maybe do something about all this beautiful situation this is the two diamonds that I am talking about: Item #: ** Todd **; Item #: ** Gemstheory. Both eBay pages Todd ** and Gemstheory are the same seller.

By the way, this criminal seller has lot of negative feedback with similar situation as mine. People wrote on negative feedback on diamonds something like: fake glass, fake stone, and so on. I am young jeweler (27 years old) with two small children and caring young wife. I also have good reputation in Prague and never had to sue anyone or no one ever sued me for something. And this situation is bringing me very hard times. 4500$ is large amount for starter like me who needs to feed the family. Salaries in Czech Republic are 500 - 800$ approx per month, so you can imagine how strong I am hit with eBay customers service, as well this kind of stress they created to me and mental problems that are caused by fear and frustration. I am really speechless!

I have never expected this unprofessional and illegal behavior from eBay customer service. I was cheated by seller Todd ** and then I was played and humiliated by customers service few times. I can see this as violating human rights, so I contacted my lawyer. My lawyer suggested to sue eBay in court - what we are working on right now.

I sold an item and had a return requested by the buyer. The buyer returned a fraudulent item. Ebay has refused to refused to refund my money. As a first time seller on eBay, I sold a piece of autographed sports memorabilia. After receiving the item, the buyer asked to have it returned and be refunded his money. I agreed to this request, and issued the funds back to him upon receipt of the package. Upon closer examination of the item, I quickly realized that the signature appeared different and took the item in to be looked at by a person who specializes in authenticating signatures. After seeing the item compared with its previous pictures he quickly determined that it was fraudulent and that I had received a completely different item than the one I had sent.

I quickly reached out to eBay to let them know that there had been a fraudulent return, and that I wanted to stop payment on the refund that I had issued the day before. Ebay told me that they would open a case, and I was assured that the funds would be placed on hold until eBay was able to make a determination on the case. Within two days, I was called and informed that eBay had ruled in my favor and that they would be taking action to issue a refund to my Paypal account.

Since then, a month has passed - I have had 5-6 phone calls in which I was assured that eBay was still working to process my refund and that everything was still going as they had said it would. Each customer service representative has been quick to identify what the hold up was, and told me that they would be taking personal control of getting the refund issued to me as well as be updating me on the situation as it evolved. I am still yet to receive a phone call from one of their customer service representatives. Throughout these calls, the story has changed three times - the first story was that it was just a delay of the funds and that I should be seeing them credited back to my account within 5-7 days.

The second was that they had accidentally allowed my refund to go through and they had also refunded the buyer (giving him double the amount of money, and the actual item itself). The third and final story that I was told for the first time on May 21st is that the case had actually never progressed past its infancy due to the fact that I had "voluntarily" issued a refund to the buyer myself. They contended that due to this fact, they weren't liable for any of the issues that had occurred or responsible for distributing funds to either the buyer or the seller.

Despite recordings of these calls that they very clearly have access to, they have continued to state that their customer service team isn't at fault for both directly lying to/misleading me about the ability to put funds on hold in the first place, as well as the 5 separate representatives that told me that everything was progressing towards resolution. As referenced above, a month has passed now. Closing my window to try to pursue any alternative routes to recoup my funds, and all I am being told at this point is that "there is nothing they can do," and that "I have no other options."

To put the cherry on top - they have also now billed me for a final value fee of $88 for the sale of the item through their website. To clarify - they are charging a percentage for a sale that was canceled, that they acknowledged was fraudulent, and spent a month saying the I was in the right and was going to be reimbursed. Bringing my personal total of losses to just over $800 and the piece of memorabilia itself. And depending on which story they choose to go with - potentially giving the buyer (scammer) over $1,500 and an item that was valued at over $700.

This is the worst customer service experience I have EVER had with any company in any industry. They have continuously neglected to act in good faith and now they have begun to completely deny any responsibility for the "lost" funds. Due to the timing, I am forced to question whether this is just a case of poor customer service, or intentional negligence. As of today, I have begun pursuing legal resolution as well.

Never Again! eBay's buyer protection is a myth!! This is regarding my account under illone57 (perfect rating) on eBay (reference number ** handle by Arlyn **). I purchased an item from a seller faking on his listing like he was a US seller of a baby blue bottle microphone. The item was never marked as shipped and when I messaged the seller 3 times with no answer I became suspicious. I messaged seller 3 times for shipping info, if the item purchased was legit seller, never responded. Item was listed as a US seller and product and came up on the receipt as non US seller with a bank not in the US. When I went back a 4th time to find out what was going on and to escalate, the sellers items and webpage with the item was deleted and says that the seller nor the listing on an open Item I purchased could not be found upon more research.

eBay never contacted me or told me that an item I had purchased or a seller that I had purchased from with an open transaction was removed. They completely hid it to let time go by before I got a refund. They were literally never going to notify me if I hadn't opened a case. I did my research. I found out this was a fraud seller that list items and doesn't fullfill them and seller bootleg items from overseas. Arlyn confirmed he was removed because of shady activity and yet eBay has decided the "seller" they removed that doesn't even exist nor the listing has up to the 29th after an item was purchased on the 16th to respond about an item I didn't received from a seller with no trace.

This is eBay just trying not to purposely give a refund and is a smack in the face to buyer protection. I have a 100 percent positive feedback rating since I've been on eBay, purchased thousands of dollars of items from eBay, and this may be their last straw. eBay's buyer protection is a myth and if you get burned you have to play their waiting game even if they know the seller is fraud!!!

Nothing like that can tarnish our ideas about how fantastic eBay is and has always been for us! The world isn't perfect. It's flawed so much more than eBay if you REALLY REALLY think about it in comparison to a few ideas leaning in favor of seller or buyer, like the scheme; "money back guarantee" (understandably not fair for sellers). I've used eBay for many years as a buyer and seller, but never again. After years of sneakier and sneakier fees, outright hidden fees, and my last transaction - I'm done! I had an almost new receiver to sell, posted an ad with full description and links along with several pics. A guy bought it - paid - receiver shipped the next day. I hear nothing for a month. Then, the guy decides to return it - even though I have a clearly stated NO RETURN policy. He didn't answer any of my questions and never claimed the receiver was defective, only offering "sound not so good." SO, I'm now screwed for return shipping, and a damaged receiver = over $500.

Although eBay makes it nearly impossible to actually speak to customer service - I did, and received zero help...when asking specific questions?! Very highly upset and feel that this was extremely unfair and BS. I also noticed that eBay now makes it impossible to leave bad feedback....which is just wrong and dangerous to the consumer.

Having used eBay for many years, in fact would be a Charter member, I have this to say. A number of years ago, I moved to a foreign country. Got on eBay in that country and could not order anything, no matter what, it would not let me check out. I contacted eBay, AMAZING how little they knew, AND they were no help, every contact a different story as to why, common one was, "the seller does not ship to your country/sell to your country." WELL HELLO, I live there, do ya, do ya think, I MIGHT just know that? AND I was using a USA re-shipper, so I had a USA mailing address!

OK so fought with them for YEARS over this issue with NO resolution! Moved back to the USA, and today went to make a purchase off eBay, it would NOT let me check out, same problem as out of country, same issue(s). I was VIOLENTLY DEMANDING EBAY FIX!!! They NEVER DID! Blamed my card issuer, the seller (said buy it somewhere else) on and on.

So today I spent at least 30 min on hold in "queue" to speak to another eBay rep, he walked me through trying to order the item at least a dozen times, checked my card and with the issuer, (I knew it was good) in the meantime, had me change settings, he changed settings, the seller unknown to us, sold the last remaining 3, off their eBay site!

NEXT cheapest seller of the same LONG discontinued item, wants 70 bucks more, and other sellers on eBay, up to 270 dollars more, OF COURSE they have stock! I DEMANDED, (and still am) eBay EAT the $70. diff I now have to pay, they basically said get lost! NOT my fault I could not order the item, not my fault the eBay site would NOT let me check out, not my fault the "IDIOTS" at eBay, could not and would not fix the problem when I brought it to them YEARS ago!

Then today a "hint" of what MIGHT have been, and be the problem, SELLERS on eBay can set up their site to require you have a PayPal Account, EVEN if you are NOT using it to pay, IF they (the seller) selected/are using this option, they can check and verify you have an actual valid PayPal account, and see it, access it!

AND if you DO NOT HAVE an "active" PayPal Account, the seller will NOT process the CC/Debit Card transaction! OK SO, when I moved out of the USA, first time I tried to use my PayPal Account from OUTSIDE the USA, it locked me out, PERMANENTLY! eBay today told me, PayPal processes ALL their CC and Debit card transactions, AND if PayPal don't like you, has you locked out, OR you do not have, you will NEVER be able to buy off eBay, that is a direct quote!

While I was out of country, PayPal REFUSED to talk to me, OR fix/unlock my account! (Said they have no way to verify it is really, actually and truly me!) Actually the way I feel, they both can have it, really! Bottom line is NO ONE at eBay knows what they are doing OR TALKING ABOUT, and are afraid to do anything! WHO is going to pay me 70 bucks lost out of ignorance, this is 7/100,000,000 MILLIONTHS of a seconds profits for eBay, but one hell of a lot of money to me!

So I recommend it since it is affordable prices for the different products that you are interested in obtaining either for personal use or for different uses. And they warn you about different items that one has presented interest and of lower prices so that you can obtain them as well as the percentage of satisfaction of the seller.

Seller said they would ship correct tire. Several weeks later Seller contacted me and said they are out of stock 24” tires and will issue me full refund. Seller issues only partial refund and said there is no refund for $300 shipping. Contacted eBay. eBay promised me in recorded call full eBay Money Back Guarantee and said if they can’t get Seller to refund 100% that eBay has a fund to refund me my remaining $300.

eBay representative stated it’s a recorded call and that it’s guaranteed. Month later no refund. eBay put me through hell and eventually found the recorded call and said that the eBay representative who told me that eBay has a 100% Money Back Guarantee was wrong and that they have no intentions of refunding my shipping because they have no proof the company sent me the wrong tires. Horrible experience with eBay Money Back Guarantee. Lies!

We are were sellers on eBay and one fine day we were suddenly informed that even though you are selling have all wonderful positive reviews and paying their fees on time, We (Ebay) will stop providing you an account manager and also stop shipping system that they have (ebaypowershipglobal). So essentially they ask you to continue paying their fees and commissions while saying that, "We will not allow you to ship any products to any customers.." Funny how is this going to work if there is no support then why am I paying for a store and their inflated commissions.... When all I have to do is FEND for myself.

Sold china and shipped to California. Same buyer bought 2nd china listed for sale. Filed damage claims on both. No pictures with second claim. Buyer demanded excessive $$ for refund. Third china listed for sale was purchased by first buyer's neighbor. Strange, right? Two shipments both damaged, strange right? What are the odds that two people living in Los Angeles living next door to each other would bid on same china?

eBay rep checked records and confirmed that this appeared to be a continual occurrence with these two buyers. I informed eBay of all of this and that after checking bidding history and realizing a shipment was going to same street, two digits away, I canceled that order prior to shipping. After no word from eBay for days on status, this morning I receive email informing they have sided with buyer and they will refund money to buyer when shipment shows returned and delivered to my address. There seems to be no seller protection in my opinion. I will be cancelling my eBay account once this transaction is complete.

No other options given with a 10% charge not disclosed and the balance was not available until 21 days later. I tried to pay 17.50 bill for 2 months. A dozen phone calls later with my credit card it would never be allowed to process with eBay's website. They would say turned down when money was there. eBay was sending me threats of being sent to collections so I made payment finally through my bank account against my better judgement. Then after 2 weeks my payment was returned to my bank or not processed.

I mailed the check to their payment center. I was billed a late charge which I disputed and would not pay. Then they took the money out of my checking account without my authorization. I gave them a one time authorization for the 17.50 they wanted but not for the late charge I do not owe. Per its Buyer Protection eBay states seller has 3 days to respond and then eBay has 48 hrs after that to make a decision. It's misleading. The eBay making a decision part. The decision can be to tell the buyer to wait for seller to respond. When you have a deceitful fraudulent seller like I did whom gives excuses and lies but not a refund then there is very little real buyers protection.

If you pay thru PayPal and complain to PayPal to make a claim to get your money back, all the evidence, messages back and forth communications, photos etc to eBay will be wiped away and per PayPal you can't go back and complain about the seller and get your money back thru eBay. Then PayPal says it can take 10 days and longer before PayPal can give you a refund.

In my case what eBay & eBay seller did: April 1, 2019 seller advertised a book a BRAND NEW with make an OFFER OPTION and $5.87 for shipping. Before buying I contacted Seller asking if brand new book came with its book Dust Jacket since it was ad as new & I asked how it was going to be protected when ship. Seller responded it was brand new. I then made an offer. eBay notified me. Seller accepted my $40 offer. I contacted seller again and stated I would not buy book unless it was going to be protected from damage with packaging material. Seller responded book new no damage but did not respond how it was going to be shipped.

I contacted seller again and offered to pay extra for shipping packing supplies coming to $12 for shipping total including supplies to ship book to me safely if I paid for book and how I wanted book protected and packed. Seller agreed to such and then I bought the book (paid seller) on 4/03/2019. Book arrived in a thin lightweight box with a big hole in box. Book had no dust jacket and had bottom tears and dents and wrinkles and water damage. There was absolutely no packing material in the box and the book was not protected from damaged nor packed as I asked and the seller just pocketed the $12 I paid extra towards shipping materials & costs. USPS shipping fee was still the seller's original ad $5.87 to which I had videotaped me picking up the book from Post Office and condition it arrived in and how packed (nonpacking material used).

I contacted seller immediately that I was upset with him; that book was a Used Book or not in new condition and that he pocketed $12 I gave towards shipping materials. I sent eBay & seller photos since eBay couldn't take a videotaping of the packaging and paid item condition. This was 2 weeks ago. Seller responded (deceit) that eBay was going to have Post Office give me a refund. So I sent more photos of damaged item and how it was shipped that seller was deceitful and committing frauds. I also phoned eBay about seller claiming eBay was going to have Post Office give me a refund to what I had paid seller for item. eBay responded that's not how eBay handles things.

In the meantime I kept telling I was returning the book to him while seller was telling me to keep the book and to get my refund from the Post Office. I had Post Office take the package back to return to the seller as a damaged delivery item which the Post Office did. Then I sent USPS tracking info to both eBay & the Seller as proof that I had not kept the book and that it was on its way back to the seller and that I wanted my money back; a refund.

It is now 4/23/2919 and eBay nor the seller will give me a refund. So I contacted PayPal which told me if I filed a claim with PayPal then the eBay claim would be deleted and disappear and that in order to pursue a claim with PayPal I would have to start all over and send evidence, correspondences, photos etc to back up my claim for a refund and after that to wait at least 10 days for PayPal to begin working on the claim. So I said forget it. I'll go to my bank instead. At least that way I can in person show my video, my photo and email correspondence evidence and eBay sellers original ad listing. eBay's BUYER PROTECTION is misleading and it allows for DECEITFUL EBAY SELLERS to commit fraud. I can be contacted at: **. Ms. ** 4/23/2019.

It seems that eBay is allowing dishonest people to steal items and does't help the seller. This may be part of a dishonest scheme that allows people to purchase an item through eBay and the day it is delivered they stop the payment on PayPal. eBay instructs seller to contact PayPal. The stopped payment starts a over 70 days dispute on PayPal. After some time PayPal informs that the buyers financial institution doesn't will release the payment.

Seller contacts buyer that never replies, so you ask eBay for help. The only contact with eBay is over the phone and they tell you that you missed the time to request the return of the item. How could I ask for the return if PayPal only informed me yesterday? eBay simply doesn't help the seller and allows this criminal scheme to use their website and that's it: You got robbed on eBay!! Attention if you sell on eBay, you may end up like me: no longer have the item, paid for shipment and didn't received the payment.

I am a five star rated seller on eBay. My name is chosen one I am. I have a perfect score on eBay and I read for many many years how eBay has robbed customers and I have read a lot of very bad reviews about you know how eBay robbed that the seller so here is my story. I sell Vintage Navajo lot jewelry. I sell in six sites so what happened was is our buyer thought of Vintage Navajo lot cuff and they wanted to return after probably 2 to 3 weeks. I do not receive returns unless the item is damaged and the reason for for it was weird. It doesn’t have patina. Well they had 11 pictures to look at and this jewelry business was closed for 25 years. This Jewelry was in the cases for 25 years so when I got it it was 25 years old!

So the buyer just had buyers remorse because this was a vintage cuff and it was in excellent condition so I did not authorize the return but eBay went into my PayPal account installed my money without OfferUp without asking me and I do not give returns unless it’s a damaged product. I am never going to do eBay again ever and I’m going to warn everybody out there eBay is only out for eBay. They do not side with the truth. They side with themselves and they side with our lies. They are call hurt in with the liars. OK they side with who they want to side with and they side against the good righteous person so here’s your warning. Get rid of eBay and go onto a site that honors the seller. The five star seller eBay only honors their own pockets. They are crooks!!!
