I've been an eBay seller for over 22 years. Time after time all I hear is that ebay wants buyers to have a "good experience". I've been ripped off by buyers and ebay MANY times. My most recent experience was when I sold an item to a buyer on 3/8. I shipped it on 3/10. It was a PART ONLY for a kitchen appliance for $12.99. I have a no return policy for "buyer remorse" return requests. On the night of 3/10 the buyer filed a return request saying they thought they were buying the whole appliance for $12.99~~a NuWave Convection Oven. The listing VERY clearly listed it as a part & pictured the part. I had the option to deny the return which I did.

On 3/11 ebay overturned my deny to return and put all the money from the transaction on hold and told the buyer to go ahead & return it. When I receive it back I have to refund the buyer the cost of the item and the original shipping cost. I am so sick & tired of ebay coddling buyers who are so stupid they can't read or comprehend a listing. After over 22 years selling on ebay with 100% positive feedback I am going to put my efforts in to Bonanza, have garage sales & sell on Marketplace. Ebay isn't going to get the $$ from me as they have in the past. Ebay needs to realize that without SELLERS there are no buyers. No buyers~~they may as well close their doors. They need to quit coddling buyers and quit screwing the sellers.

I sold a item over a week ago for £70. eBay took £10. I used my last £15 to pay for next day delivery. A week later my account is in minus. I am starving. I cannot get heating or smoke and eBay think it’s okay to say I’ll be paid soon. eBay has the fees. The buyer has the item. But I am now sat for the 3rd day starving! Do not use eBay to sell unless you are rich! I am going to take legal action.

I don't know I felt like the owner of eBay became so successful he just don't care about his business no more. He has some team members in the chat very rude toward either customers or sellers. I sent my information to eBay because of mismatched information. They closed my account even for me to buy. I never bought sold anything on eBay for me to say that I will do something negative or used to do something negative. The customer service that they have are really rude. First of all you cannot even call someone on the phone. Second of all those people are extremely rude . They don't want to escalate the case to hire managers. They act like they are the end hand, nobody above them and they closed my account permanently instead of asking me to send other documents if one of them did not match. What company who wants your money will do such thing. I guess eBay is rich and don't care losing his customers. Hope eBay stay rich forever.

I decided to sell some inheritance items on eBay. Haven't used eBay in 15 years. It used to be easy, but now, it's horrible! I posted my items, got a bid on one of them in 48 hrs. When I entered my profile on recv/dispersing currency it all went fine. Then when I received notice that someone wanted to purchase, eBay site kept telling me that I was lacking banking info. They did the test bank routine (send .10 cents, then withdraw .10 cents) everything worked. Still the error message kept appearing. I decided to call customer service... go grab a cup of coffee or a beer, here is when things go incredibly south!!!

I was connected with "George" after calling a Florida phone number, but it was obviously routed to somewhere in India. I detailed the issue with my account, and his first response was "well that should not be happening unless there is a problem with your account." He has a real keen eye for the obvious!! This whole time on the phone with him (2-hours 8 minutes) I got nowhere! He asked for my driver's license ID (with a photo of it so that he could get me to download some other software). He asked for my SSN (which really pissed me off). He tied himself into my computer to see the screen as I saw it, and by now I was feeling really uncomfortable with this whole experience.

I was then told by him that eBay had noticed some malicious activity with my bank account. How in the hell is eBay allowed to look at my bank account??? I asked him on several different times during this 2-hour phone call "why I am doing all of this?" All I can say is that is that he was really good at tap dancing around a question. Right at the 2-hour mark, I told him that I was done with this conversation that was going nowhere in a hurry. He became a bit belligerent, that is when I finally said "good-bye." eBay lost a lot of money because of this incident, seeing as how I actually over 100 items that I wanted to sell. In closing to all viewing this, do yourself a favor and please AVOID USING EBAY AT ALL COSTS! It used to be pretty good, but now is just a breeding ground for stupidity and a place for the useless to find employment.

I purchased a digital piano which had "money back guarantee" from both EBAY and Musician's Friend. When the piano arrived it was severely damaged. I complained to EBAY who said to contact the seller. The seller said it could do nothing since the purchase was on ebay. After weeks of phone calls, EBAY sent a return label which was unprintable and provided no help in transporting this huge, heavy item. When I requested more time, EBAY refused. I am out $483.

Ebay only makes money from Sellers. So when sellers rip you off or fraud or lie, Ebay will side with them on every appeal. They DO NOT guarantee anything. They say they do but when you try and collect they side with Seller. And if you think using PayPal helps, it does not. Paypal will side with EBAY on every decision they make, so you have NO RECOURSE. It is a big scam and I would not use unless you are prepared to get ripped off and take the loss. Too bad, it used to be a pretty good place, now they make Craigslist look like a safe place.

I've been a buyer on eBay for years. Started purchasing on ebay again lately and purchased a printer. Time placed Feb 1, 2022 at 7:08 AM. Order number **. Total $453.15 (1 item). Sold by catllc <----blacklist this person! I tried to cancel the order 5 seconds after making it because the shipping would be 2 weeks, but the seller refused. So I waited 2 weeks. Saw no package, look at the tracking info. And it says order has been delivered. USPS: **. But guess what, it was delivered on Feb 2....a day after my order. And at another state HOMESTEAD, FL 33034. My delivery address is LIVINGSTON, NJ 07039. And the package was shipped out on Jan 25th! Before I ever made my purchase!

So I put up a dispute for not receiving my package. But now I gotta wait a week for seller to respond. Instead of responding. The seller put up a new tracking number. And then he puts up a dispute against me. Best part is. It gets resolve in mere hours. EBAY deemed the seller in the right, and me in the wrong. They said I received my package. The package that was shipped from before my order date! And the new tracking number? USPS: **.

I don't know what got shipped this time. But it's been in Limbo, even a Investigation was brought up by USPS and the package was returned then the seller shipped it again and it didn't arrive again. But EBAY closed my case! Refuse to refund my money! So I will take it up with Paypal. NEVER USE EBAY! You're asking for a headache! Investigate? A 10 year old would have known how to google a tracking number and figure out if a package was sent or not. But clearly EBAY did its investigation alright. I had to wait 7 days, the scammer waited a mere couple of hours. Unbelievable!

I have had an account with eBay since the late 90’s. I only use it occasionally to sell items and have not used it for a while now. At the time I listed a recent item for sale I was aware eBay was no longer using PayPal and was handling transactions on their own. What I was not aware of is eBay will hold your funds from the sale for two weeks for each transaction completed until you reach 15 sales. After complaining to eBay management they agreed to release the funds after delivery confirmation has been completed however this still means a minimum of five business days before the funds are released. I find this policy to be highly unfair to any seller that only occasionally uses eBay and will be looking at other means to sell items I no longer want or need! Goodbye eBay!

I used to sell on eBay a long time ago, and had successfully sold many items. I have always had a 100% rating. I decided to start selling some things again, as we recently moved, and there are things that I no longer need or use, but were well taken care of. A few months back, I listed a beautiful ring. A gentleman recently bought it, but because it had been so long ago, I simply forgot about the listing. I was about to get the ring so that I could send it out, but since we had just moved, I wasn't able to find it. I decided to just refund the gentleman's money right away, only to find out that they wouldn't release his payment to me for at least 2 weeks, to give back to him, because I hadn't sold in a while. I had no idea that this would happen. I guess that their new rule is that you have to sell 25 items now, (in close succession) before they release your payment immediately.

So now, I will have to refund the buyer out of my OWN pocket NOW, (if he isn't able to wait--and he shouldn't have to!) and even when they release the money to me in 2 weeks, he may request it back, and I will be out the money twice!! (Hopefully, he won't.) As soon as I clear up this situation, I will be deleting my eBay account, and never selling on there again!! Lesson learned! If you don't sell on eBay often, you have to wait 2 weeks to get your money! BEWARE!!

Do not buy anything on eBay. They don't offer a money-back guarantee, and the sellers in the USA represent they are US based, and the majority are Chinese companies with a frontman in the US. They use a warehouse and logistics company, and the US taxpayers subsidize the shipping fees. They also do not protect buyers, just sellers. You can't block a seller. There is massive misrepresentation and price collusion by the sellers and eBay. They manipulate search results with preferences towards higher-priced items. There is no pricing consistency, and the same product can have various prices.

Example would be a simple $5 item that could be priced for $5 to 150 dollars for the same item. They mark up their shipping by a minimum of 40%, and it's the highest profit center. It's the platform of fraud and misrepresentation. They even remove negative feedback or hide the input. In summary, I would never buy anything on eBay if you verify everything via message. You will find most sellers will not answer your questions, or they will lie.

I took pictures and contacted the seller. I was informed that their warranty doesn't cover what they deemed "not their fault" and that I was past the 30 day return period. I tried to bring it to eBay's attention and NEVER heard back from them. A tire's normal life is 2 - 3 years and the seller or eBay should have honored some form of warranty or refund after only 3 months and 1000 miles.

eBay has several accounts linked to mine for various reasons. I have a business account and my nephew who is a minor was selling on eBay a Pokémon card. It sold, he didn’t ship it, and they restricted my account. Took down over 600 listings. They are linking accounts without making you aware, IP addresses, shared Wi-Fi, whatever but it was no fault of my own. A competitor came to my business trying to partner up and he is now linked to my eBay. He used my Wi-Fi to look at his listings. I do not know. All I know is this is a costly unfair business practice if ever there was one. The competition’s visit to my building was 10 years ago, so how far are they going back, monitoring your IP in what manner using it to hurt you and your business or persons selling or buying on eBay. This should be illegal. Not your fault but they bring you grief.

The link did not work, there was no option to have someone call me back. I emailed them only to get an email back stating my account can not be unsuspended because I was found to have unfavorable selling which is a risk to the community. I have NEVER sold anything on Ebay. I have only purchased one time in the past.

I emailed their customer service again stating I have never sold anything and am fearful my account has been hacked and requested assistance. They again responded with a reply that it is in the best interest they part ways with me. They claim safety for the community is their main concern. What a joke, if this were true they would want to help me figure out what happened and by who. They also went on to say that if I try to open any future accounts they will be blocked immediately. I demanded that they delete my account. Their response was they can not close suspended or blocked accounts. Terrible company! Their practices and customer service are the bottom of the barrel. I can only hope their crappy ways will lead to their business folding!!

Selling camera gear, six items. Personal gear... Sold three items with three more to go. NOT A BUSINESS. Yet here is what eBay promotes... "Do I have to pay federal income tax on my sales? Starting on Jan 1, 2022, IRS regulations require all businesses that process payments, including online marketplaces like eBay, to issue a Form 1099-K for all sellers who receive $600 or more in sales. The new tax reporting requirement may impact your 2022 tax return that you may file in 2023. However, just because you receive a 1099-K doesn’t automatically mean that you’ll owe taxes on the amount reported on your 1099-K.

Only goods that are sold for a profit are considered taxable, so you won’t owe any taxes on something you sell for less than what you paid for it. For example, if you bought a bike for $1,000 last year, and then sold it on eBay today for $700, that $700 you made would generally not be subject to income tax. Check out our 1099-K FAQ to learn more about these changes."

I have only sold $2800.00 worth of gear and wrt my dealing with eBay customer service... I will not sell on this "SCAMMER SITE" anymore. The lady said I still need to fill out the 1099-K form even though I am not a business. The SCAMMERS have rung up my sales to over $10,000 and eBay has not removed those bogus numbers from my eBay site.

Asking her three simple questions in which she refuses to answer, I have concluded the scamming is universally played out. Asking this customer service agent clear questions about. what is going on here, she kept avoiding my question. She literally sucks at what she does. I feel like I am being scammed by eBay. Seriously... eBay allows scammers to persistently meander all over this market place and then when they held my funds ten days ago, I called them and the person said I was good to go. Now they are saying I am a business and want more personal info from me so I cam fill out a business tax form for 2023.

Find this all out after the fact and then eBay scams me with a new rule, by threatening to withhold payment. I don't like liars and I don't like scammers. I don't like to be threatened. The customer service agent said she would transfer me over to a manager at my request. She said it would take 5 minutes. I am on hold now for 25 minutes. You cater to scammers, eventually you become one. Never again will I sell on this scamming site. You would not believe how many scammers have placed an offer on my equipment. Or maybe you would. I understand this is a liars world but could you hire customer service agents that LISTEN and not attempt to skirt the issues.

I advocated for eBay on behalf of small businesses and individual sellers, actively opposing paying state tax to any state where you sold an item and this is the thanks we get? At this point, I don't think I'll be doing any business with them, there are plenty of free platforms out there now without the hassles.

I had to report them to the Better Business Bureau to get access to my account and refund customers. After I did that, they labeled me a threat to the community and permanently banned me. Then you wait for a refund. This has happened to me twice in the last week and eBay would never step in to do anything that would affect their profit margin, this company continues a rapid decline.

I had an international guy from Canada reach out to me in regards to purchasing this item on 22 October 2021 while he proceeded to tell me that he would offer me 200 for the item I had listed for 350. Demanded for me to get this out right away. Anyway long story short item was shipped out three or four days later. On November 15, 2021 he received the item claiming the item was damaged. I currently have pictures. A local postal inspector seen the item and knows that the item was in excellent condition when it was shipped out because they helped me package the item as this was my first time ever shipping anything to Canada. I didn't know how everything really worked.

Anyway long story short as a grandmother selling items to try to make money to buy my grandkids Christmas presents and selling other items to make ends meet this guy put a claim in saying that he wanted a full refund and continue to refuse to send me pictures of the item being damaged. EBay, has done nothing for me as a seller they listen to this guy manipulate, lie, cheat and steal from me, continue to tell me that they were going to help me out. They've done nothing this far. Today is November 22, 2021 and I spent over 12 hours last week trying to get this resolved and currently nothing other than everything I sold they kept my money. I had to shut my bank account down I've had nothing but awesome reviews. Never anything negative in my 20 years of selling!

If this is how eBay, is going to treat their sellers I would suggest people not selling because they are just as much a scam and fraud as the scammers and fraudulent people who lie manipulate who purchase from the sellers! I am done with eBay, but terribly upset that they stole my hard earned money as the items I had to work for to purchase them to try to recoup back some money to buy Christmas presents for my grandchildren. I am on Social Security disability for a reason I am almost 60 years old and this is a shame that eBay, has allowed this to happen to me. Really is sickening to think that eBay, is just as bad as the people who buy in claim that sellers and damaged goods. It's all Leroy this guy has kept my item, refuse to send me pictures, cussed me out, harassed me and everything underneath the sun underneath. But they have done nothing to help me as a seller. For starters I’m a sort of new seller, so eBay will definitely not side with me when it comes to any issues. I have to wait for 3 days after item is delivered just for me to receive my money etc. Anyways, Shipped an item to a buyer recently (auction) for well under retail of item. I get a message from buyer a couple days after it says it was delivered. That there’s all these crazy damages, and it looks like someone dropped it, big hole in back, frame doesn’t hold screen in place. I ask kindly for more pictures of claims but buyer avoided any requests I had. He sent me 2 pictures of what he wanted me to see, it was hard to even tell if the item he took pictures of was even the one I sent because it was literally zoomed in pictures of a single spot. But anyways ebay then notified me buyer requested a refund. And because I’m a new seller ebay will guarantee buyer gets full refund even if I have proof the claims made are false.

I take a video of me cleaning and packing every item I sell, even if it’s a local sale. Again I ask buyer to provide full detailed pictures of items so I can compare them to my pictures and video. He send 1 more picture which shows the item a little better, but in this picture he sent I’m 100% sure it has been disassembled. Which is not how I sent it. (Also have proof of that.) Same thing, no luck, avoiding my requests saying I’m harassing him and that I have to accept return or he’ll escalate….and at this point ebay has no way for me to give my side of the story.

So what options do I have? eBay is holding my money, and if I ignore the request they will automatically refund anyways and quote “possibly even not require buyer to return item” which is complete **. This platform is trash. I am very familiar with people who buy things off eBay, swap parts out for their parts, then send it back to seller asking for full refund. Leaving the seller with an item in worse condition or even nonworking condition than how it was sent. But ebay doesn’t care at all.

This last time was the last straw for me. The seller chose to return the item (which was perfectly fine). However, eBay decided not to refund my seller fees which came close to $20. At that point I was already fed up and now they were telling me I would not get a refund on seller fees. eBay is a terrible company that generates revenue by ripping people off (the same people who make up the community that keep eBay in business). Sounds counter productive, and it is. So this is why I am no longer a registered eBay user. I will never under any circumstances use ebay again, ever. And neither should you.

I added my bank account, verified my account, I sold an item, shipped it within 24 hours, the seller received it, and after they received it I receive an email stating that that my payouts are on hold until further review for 5 days to see if they need further information. The whole point of selling something is to be paid right away after selling the item, or I can understand holding payment until buyer receives item, but this is horrible.

Then I call customer service and speak to a rude representative who I barely understood, very thick accent, I have spoken with their customer service before and have spoken to people who had thick accents, but his was by far the worst and it makes it worse when you have to say "I'm sorry can you repeat that, or I'm sorry I really don't understand what you are saying". It's makes it even more frustrating and I'm sure makes the representative feel bad as well.

So I sold my item a week ago, the buyer received the item 4 days ago and I will not be getting my payment for two weeks! How does that make sense? Then to have customer service not really know much, and then you have to wait for the representative to finish reading the wrong information from a computer screen! Tells me it's on hold because the account wasn't verified, when it was verified before I even sold the item, I told him I have the email of verification as proof, then he starts to read off something else that was already done! This is not the first time I've had bad service, not the first time I've been given the wrong information from their reps! How can a company truly not care for their sellers? Having no recourse through e-bay, she filed a dispute with her bank. She lied to the bank that the item does not match the description because if she just says she didn't read the description, not even the bank would take her case. E-bay refunded her because according to them "the bank ruled against them." They then left the item with her and tried to charge me the money plus a $20 dispute resolution fee. Well I did nothing wrong. There was no defect in my listing. E-bay tried to charge my bank but I called the bank and told them the ACH is not authorized so the bank reversed it.

I then went on e-bay web site and deleted all payment methods and since I cannot delete the checking account, I just put a bogus one. They are now sending me messages that I need to pay them. Dispute resolution appears to be in India and they are just giving canned responses. At some point I asked them if I'm talking to a real person or if this is an automated AI (artificial intelligence) system. Bottom line is that e-bay has become a sad operation for both buyers and sellers. After using ebay for over 20 years, regretfully, this experience ends it. Overall seller responded to my request through Ebay 7 days later. EBay notified me through ebay messages indicating seller rejected or refuse to refund money back to my account. I have been with ebay as a buyer since 2004 and so many changes has come since and before the pandemic. You can't talk to a real person. Ebay only communicates through their messages and most always favor with the seller.

When items finally arrived I refused to accept it from mail carrier so it was sent back. This was the earlier part of August. We are now in the middle of September going out and no response from Ebay or Seller. I open up a case with USPS. Still no response. Ebay is no longer compassionate for the buyer. Even if you get wrong items shipped out you have to pay for return shipping which is unfair because it's not what you paid for. As of today I am done with Ebay. Will be looking into other online buying options. The ebay I once enjoyed shopping on their website is no longer for buyers and sellers fees are ridiculous and yes sellers deal with a lot.

But to totally ignore my request and send item out which I did not receive until 3 weeks which I refuse so I never got refunded and I don't know where the actual package is at. The tracking number used to send item postal worker indicated because of my refusing to accept the item same tracking number will be used to send back to seller which has not been done. If you value your health stay away from Ebay. It can become very stressful and frustrating. Your peace of mind and health should come first before any company that don't care nothing about you at all only the money they are receiving. On another note they have discontinued the ebay bucks when checking out. The only time you can receive them is when they offer 5% for a limited time of 2 days. It used to be 10%. That changed long time since the pandemic but ebay has not stop making money and prices are not so reasonable anymore. Beware of Ebay!!!!

When I got home I put the tracking number on the listing. The estimated delivery date was 9/3. The buyer filed a report against me on that day because he didn’t receive it. It was delivered on 9/4 at 4:45 to his mailbox. eBay then refunded the buyer his money saying I didn’t provide tracking in time, How can that be? Now I’m out the item I sold and the money. I sent a email to The CEO, but of course have got no response. The only option I had was to report them to the Attorney General. I will never do business with Ebay anymore. They won’t provide a customer service number because they know they are crooks. All they care about is getting their 13% even though they do nothing to earn it. Avoid EBAY at all costs.

I immediately contacted the seller and requested a cancellation but there was no response. The blouse arrived and bore no resemblance to the picture shown. The material was cheap polyester, the size was wrong and the details were a photographer's trick to look like there was exquisite stitching. The actual stitching was a joke. The item was an absolute piece of trash. There is no way that this company can have a 97% satisfaction rate with the trash they sell. The company is run by scammers and should be investigated by eBay. I returned the rag but had to pay customs and a mailing company since I live in Mexico. Why are these fraudulent companies allowed to sell on ebay?

eBay - Incompetent Customer Service. Aug 24, 2021. I received a notice that said I was delivered a package on June 22 at two in the afternoon. I was home watching the doorbell camera and nothing came that day. I worked on it and worked on it and could not get any help until I decided to cancel my account. Then someone finally was willing to listen. Turns out the tracking number the seller gave me actually belonged to a package that was delivered somewhere else in Fresno. How they got that number is a curious mystery. Makes you wonder though.

Well we finally got it straightened out and I got a refund. I spoke with on chat and exchanged emails with numerous people requesting not to close my account because the problem was fixed. I was assured at least twice that my request for the account closure was reversed. Yesterday I got a notice that said my account had been closed, thank you very much. How does a company that appears this incompetent stay in business? I have come to the conclusion that there's nothing eBay has that I can't find somewhere else probably at a better price so goodbye idiots, I wish I never knew you.

I'm only giving it 4 stars though because of the half ** approach to they made to the "loyalty" program (eBay bucks). You earn points for purchases during a three-month period, at which point you get a certificate you have to redeem. You have 30 days to redeem that certificate before it expires, after that the points/bucks are gone forever. They're literally hoping that you forget about it so they don't have to reward their members. It's not like it's a huge amount either, most of the points you'll earn are 1% of the purchase (sometimes they have promotions to earn 5%+). If you remember to redeem them, you have a year to spend them, which is alright.

eBay must only offer the opportunity to leave a review for those who are signed into their program. This needs to change. Many people check out as "guests" because they have found a purchase that they don't want to spend an extra 10 minutes on signing up, then going to their email to verify the address, then back over to finish signing up, only to have the page reset and have to look for the item all over again. eBay needs to fix that. They also need NOT rate the seller in their marketplace called "clickgoodwill" as any top seller. Go to their most recent reviews and they are ALL BAD. "No response" is a common theme and I too got NO response from them. They ask for a mailing address (where the item should be delivered) and a billing.

I ordered a GIFT to be SENT to A DIFFERENT ADDRESS than my billing, under a DIFFERENT NAME. In my confirmation, it told me that my name and billing address were set to receive the item ordered. I emailed the seller at the listed "ebooks81@goodwillindy.org" IMMEDIATELY after getting the ding about my confirmation to let them know it was a gift and that they needed to use the MAILING address info. They ignored it, never responded, and it was sent to the wrong place. eBay needs to update their "best" listings based on customer reviews and allow for guest reviews. Seller clickgoodwill needs to be closed. I do not think the original seller is in charge and it could even be a minor who has taken over which would be illegal. eBay needs to investigate this seller.

I am an Ebay seller and have been for years (even before PayPal). I deal in silver and gold coins. Ebay no longer uses Paypal and handles all transactions themselves. I recently sold a coin on Ebay and Ebay deposited $53. into my account -without a transaction summary which would have stated what the coin actually sold for, fees charged, shipping and taxes.

I had to call Ebay to find the TRUTHFUL summary of the sales and fees (they hide fees from sellers) I found that the total sale was $66. (including $4. shipping) which brought my coin sale to $62. Ebay states that they charge 12.5% on sales of this kind - - - but the math didn't add up: at a $62,00 sale I should have been charged $7.75 in fees... I was charged $8.35. I found that they charge FEES ON SHIPPING! When I calculated the $4.00 shipping charge on the sale price ($62. + $4 = $66.) the 12.5 % fees almost worked out at $8.25 in fees - but not quite. I looked further and found that Ebay ALSO charges .30 in flat fees in addition to the percent fees - AND THEY DO NOT INCLUDE ANY OF THIS ON THEIR 'TRANSACTION STATEMENT' that they send you!!

It took me over a hour to find the true statement of this single transaction: Final Value Fee Variable percentage • Coins & Paper Money category -$8.35. Rate for $0.00 - $7,500.00 12.55%. Item fee total -$8.35. Final Value Fee Per order fixed amount -$0.30. Total fees -$8.65. You have to look long and hard to find the actual number that Ebay uses as a fee basis: Fees based on: $66.57. I did, and was shocked to find that Ebay even went so far as to Charge me a 12.5% fee on shipping charges!! So, ebay is dishonest. They charge you hidden fees in addition to the very high 12.5% rate (it used to be under 10%) then they bang you with a .30 'final value' fee that is not shown - then they charge you a 12.5% fee on the shipping costs as well!! This is far from being honest and straightforward.

According to USPS.com, USPS never actually received the order. I was contacted by the store seller on 6/14/21, after repeatedly reaching out to them in order to be refunded for my order of a cigarette holder which never arrived. They claimed that they did not receive my first message, even though it looks as if the message went through just fine on my end, and I have a copy of the message in my messages within Ebay. They also claimed they would issue me a refund, though after checking my account, I don’t see that a refund has been processed.

I feel as if I am now being given the run around by this seller and I would appreciate it if the Better Business Bureau would intervene and help me to receive a refund for this order, as I honestly do not believe that this seller intends to refund my money without intervention. I submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, so we’ll see what happens there. Also, the seller also claimed that USPS lost my order, so, the order is definitely not going to arrive.

Yet after the seller stated, in a message sent to me via Ebay, that USPS had supposedly lost my order, they still refuse to refund my money. Initially they were going to issue a refund to me for the order USPS supposedly “lost,” though after they saw that I left a negative review for them on their seller profile on Ebay, since their communication was so very poor and since they were just very rude in their messages to me, they informed me that they were no longer going to issue a refund to me for the lost order. This is most unprofessional, to initially state that you are going to issue a refund to a customer, and then to deny a customer a refund because they left you a bad review.

They also claimed they were denying me a refund because my communication was not good. Which is ridiculous, all of my messages were very clear. They are denying me a refund because I left them a bad review, plain and simple. You don’t get to violate the terms of a sales agreement simply because a customer leaves you a negative review. If every buyer did this then Ebay would have a very bad reputation and customers would quit using their services and Ebay would go out of business.

To make matters worse, when I try to get assistance through Ebay, I am also unable to get assistance as I keep getting a message that a tracking number has been provided, and therefore since the seller has provided a tracking number, Ebay will not intervene. Ebay really needs to make it easier to handle disputes. Simply because a tracking number has been provided, this does not mean that the order has not been lost and that a buyer will not be in need of further intervention from Ebay. Of course, I found no number for Ebay, so, I cannot even contact Ebay via a customer service number. Ebay also does not provide an email address, so, I cannot email them either. I have no other recourse but to open a Better Business Bureau Complaint if I ever want to receive a refund.

Ebay really needs to revise their intervention process. As it stands, a seller can simply stall and manipulate the system and there is no real recourse that a customer has. All a seller has to do is to simply provide a tracking number and there is nothing a customer can do in order to receive a refund in the event their order is lost and the seller refuses to do the right thing and to issue a refund. Ebay makes it too easy for sellers to work the system.

This is not really about the money, $6.84 is not a large sum of money. Though this is about the principle of the matter. This is about Ebay making it easy for sellers to work the system and how incredibly difficult it easy to make a dispute through Ebay. This is about the many sellers on Ebay who take advantage of people. It’s wrong, just plain and simple.

There are no words... But I'll try to concisely sum up my tale of woe. I sold an item for around $800, but eBay in their infinite, robot-like wisdom decided to refund the buyer for the item after he received the item. They cling to the idea that because I violated one of their precious rules (shipping to an alternate address as requested by the buyer), I am not deserving of consideration in this case and they absolutely refuse to give me my money back. They instead insist that I just send the buyer (a scam artist) an invoice for the amount they took from me and gave to him. Yes, the same buyer who scammed me and is actively ignoring me. eBay: Too Big To Give A **.

Different culture altogether - no service, lack of communication prior to systemic changes, dishonesty in consumer relations. Latest: A "reference number" on an online issue sent to higher levels for resolution, two days later, turns out to be the conversation ID for the phone call! I suppose that it gets the seller off of the line without actually addressing, nor caring to address, the issue but why bother to have a helpline? Many issues, many calls and NONE have resulted in any action. Dismissive of the people that make the system work - sellers and buyers - corporate America, isn't it great? Over the past two years, half of our family's purchases on Ebay have either been products the sale of which Ebay itself canceled due to a fraud alert on the seller's account, or they have never arrived, or they have differed significantly from what was advertised. When we've tried to work with sellers whose deliveries were very late, Ebay refused to help us if the late delivery date was outside Ebay's page-advertised delivery deadline. Even if we never got the purchased item. Lesson learned: open a claim if an item doesn't arrive within a few days after the delivery date.

Recently, we purchased a product because its page on Ebay advertised a manufacturer's warranty. The electronic product failed on day #30 after we'd received it. The seller refused to respond to our emails on Ebay. And Ebay refused to help us because the problem occurred "30 days after purchase." Ebay sent us to the seller's website, but the seller's website refuses to accept incoming email (confirmed by an error-bounce message from Gmail).

Frustrated that a product that had advertised a manufacturer's warranty either had none or the seller refused to honor it, we posted a mild, honest review (verifiable with screenshots and copies of emails) of the seller on Ebay. Ebay immediately removed our review because the problem with the sale occurred 30 days after we'd placed the order. We shared screenshots of all communications with the seller requesting warranty info, the seller's Ebay sales page promising a manufacturer's warranty, and the email bounce message from the seller's off-Ebay website. Ebay refused to budge.

To promote sales, Ebay censors negative reviews, thereby distorting buyers' impression of sellers' trustworthiness and the reliability of items for sale. Manufacturer warranties would only be used 30-days AFTER a purchase. Otherwise, a buyer would return an item. Ebay refuses to stand by its own pages' marketing (advertising warranties on products), instead sending buyers on circuitous hunts to contact sellers with active pages on Ebay. We believe this is illegal--and is certainly deceptive. We no longer trust Ebay and won't be shopping in their marketplace.

I had been a loyal customer and buyer on eBay for the past 13-14 years (from 2007-2008 to 2021). I had purchased tens of thousands of goods/products on their website during this time period. However, I recently found out how little they valued my business and how little they respect buyers. I had ordered some trading cards/stickers from a seller in early March. For some reason, the USPS seized the package before delivery and indicated insufficient address. I provided the correct address (same one I've used for several years). The seller immediately sent me a harassing message and cursed at me with zero provocation. I later on provided seller feedback that he harassed and cursed at me. The seller then provided buyer feedback calling me derogatory names as saying something else I can't repeat here.

I reported the seller to eBay. I also called the eBay customer service line as well as e-mailed eBay customer service and requested that the derogatory feedback be taken down. Not only did they not take the derogatory feedback down, they removed my feedback and accused me of feedback extortion. eBay also threatened me with suspension. I then reported eBay to the Better Business Bureau, in two separate complaints (one for the nasty treatment and one to get my refund - since I never received the product). They ignored the one complaint entirely. I finally heard back on the refund complaint. They denied my request, but thankfully, my credit card company has my back.

The representative from eBay pretty much glossed over everything and didn't even address the feedback issue whatsoever. They claim that whatever discipline they administer to a seller is confidential. However, I highly doubt they did anything at all, especially since the seller was so eager to be abusive towards me from the onset (obviously hasn't been disciplined before) and the fact that the vile, derogatory feedback about me is still on my eBay feedback board for everyone to see. eBay rewards abusive sellers and punishes innocent buyers. They have no problem being disrespectful towards me either. I will never buy anything on their website again.

They don’t follow their own policies about review management and will remove negative reviews posted by the buyer. I have proof and also have documented proof this seller cheated me out of my shipping that was supposed to be a free return. I only wanted an exchange at first but after the nasty behavior of the seller, it turned to a full return of the single product to exchange then shipped back the accessories.

The seller took me through hassles to exchange the defective TENs unit and told me they tested all their products before shipping but when I presented the facts that it shipped out as such, I was asked to pay the return cost to exchange, I asked seller to pay and I was told I will get reimbursed, but didn’t. EBay’s exchange policy is for the seller to send me a tracking number. I now believe this unit possibly was not sold as “new” but “used”. eBay removed my negative mark and review to allow the seller to look flawless. How many others are they doing like that? I went beyond the standards to resolve which spoke volumes about BlissOutlet8 seller lack of integrity and ethics on eBay as a seller.

Therefore, deceptive practices are absolutely occurring at eBay and they do not notify you to resolve your post but they remove it at the seller’s discretion immediately and claim they can’t repost your negative review for others to see. I posted my bad experiences for the buyers to see the seller has unethical practices and make a sound judgement.

Many socially minded companies are making appropriate accommodations to allow the consumer more time to receive and return merchandise given the lateness of such products in light of what’s happening.

However, on eBay, the sellers are allowed to be as late as they want. You would think that would mean eBay was aware of such delays. You, on the other hand had better be prepared to be told “Nope, no refund for you.” Thanks so much for paying for nothing. In the future, please review our return policies. Their new selling policies force you to have a bank account for the profits to go into but will not allow you to have your shipping costs or any other amount deducted from that same account. Per their policies you're not allowed to have costs deducted from the same account your profits go into.

When an item was purchased and payment received, I received my funds instantaneously via PayPal. Now, it's put on hold from 3-5 days. There, for a limited time you can purchase shipping labels. Then they take another 2 days to process the payment to your bank. There's almost a week, where it took literally 100th of a second with PayPal. They sold these changes as being helpful and beneficial to the seller. It's been over a month and I'm still untangling things from the policy switch. There are not enough words in the English language to say how deeply I detest this company.

THIS JUST HAPPEN TO ME! EBAY ALWAYS FAVORS THE BUYERS! On Jan 19, 2021 I sold a Epson Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer Brand New but AS IS because it wasn't turning on eBay for $194.67. The original price was $649. But It wasn't turning on so I thought to sell it AS IS broken, for PARTS only. No returns, no refunds and no exchanges. Jan. 22: The buyer requested a return. Going back and forth with the buyer I offer him a partial refund. HE DECLINED. Then I told him to ship it back, but he needs to pay for shipping. HE DECLINED. Then the Buyer made up some **bleep** false claims and escalated the claim with ebay. EBAY favored the buyer and I am forced to take it back including paid shipping.

Yesterday it got delivered back to me. I open the back and I was so shocked. When I received the printer back it was missing lots of parts. All the accessories are missing I send was missing! He kept all the accessories. Also the original receipt that I have included in the sale was missing. Aside from that, the printer head is also missing and worst of all the sticker where the serial number was is also missing! The buyer has scratched off the serial number sticker!!! Oh did I mention that the BUYER SELL PRINTERS? Once he made the return request I saw his shop he sold printers. A day later all his listing were gone! What a co-incident! Here are the items that are missing.

    1. All manuals
    2. Power cables
    3. CDs and DVD drives
    4. DVD print tray
    5. Printer head
    6. Printer cover of the ink box
    7. Original receipt
    8. Serial number sticker

    9. Paper feeders

The printer came back in a very terrible shape and had physical damage. I have pictures for proof. Buyer not only made false claims but has also misused and abused ebay's return policy. He knew exactly that he could get away with it. The printer was missing items and it was damaged beyond repair. Oh and immediately upon delivery like basically 30 mins later after I open the package the buyer proof tracking number to EBAY and Ebay has refunded him in full and favor the buyer! Ebay had the last word and they didn't want to know my side of the story nor hear the seller's input.

Oh and Ebay took money (that I didn't have) out of my Paypal. Now I have a negative paypal. Paypal tried to get money out of my bank account. But luckily I put a STOP PAYMENT ORDER ON PAYPAL with my bank. Paypal and ebay are getting NOTHING from me. They have favored the buyer! THey should get the money back from the buyer!!!! On Jan 30 I sent an appeal to ebay. Ebay: We weren't able to give you a refund. EBAY SEND ME THIS MESSAGE AND CLOSE THE CASE. "Hi Christine, After reviewing this case, we decided to keep the original outcome. We understand that you received your item in a different condition from when you shipped it. Unfortunately, we weren't able to grant your appeal because we couldn't determine that this was caused by the buyer, or that this was something in the buyer's control. You won't receive a refund for this case."

EBAY is as worst as the buyer themselves! They favored the buyer and they refunded him and they close the case in his favor. Leaving the seller in a loss with a broken and damaged item. I have been with eBay for a while now. This buyer was a liar and a thief. A cheater. A horrible buyer in every way. This buyer says something is wrong with the item (whether there is or not). eBay favors them and I am forced to refund his money back and in return get my broken item back with the missing serial number and parts. THIS IS NOT RIGHT! The bottom line is that ebay takes the buyers word for it and never the sellers. Leaving sellers unsafe and screwed!

Ebay should be ashamed of themselves. I will stop selling on ebay. They just lost another seller. The buyer knew exactly how to play ebay and ebay got fooled by a cheater. They lost a good and honest seller. The buyer is theft and cheated misusing ebay's buyer guarantee. All I can now say is I HATE EBAY and I HATE PAYPAL! I will now start selling on Facebook marketplace. Offerup and Nextdoor app. Ebay has horrible greedy business practices. I have filed a complaint with BBB. And I will let my story be heard all over social media! Exposing Ebay shady way of business. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! PS: I just put that broken printer in the trash! PSS: The buyer **. I block him.

I was forced with not choice to move over to eBay managed payouts though eBay. They told me if I did not move from PayPal to their own system that I would no longer be able to list on eBay so this was completely forced. Then they said I would actually save money because I would not be paying the PayPal fee. I always received my money instantly when dealing with PayPal. Now recently on my first sold item through their system it was 4 days before it went into my bank. That was a 49.00 sale. But hold up I made a 1095.00 and they not only changed to payout date from 4 days to 5 days but they also changed the payout date to last minute. And here is the real kicker. I tried to call them at 12:30 knowing that their open times are from where till 5pm and then spit back a notice from their department saying by the time we can call you back it will be too late to call you.

The bottom line is they forced me to give up my PayPal which I was very happy with. They jacked their final value fees up to basically meet the PayPal fees so they were lying about saving me money and now they are using my money from my sales to make interest for 5 days before they pay me. Their final value rate has gone from 10% to 12.35% and it takes up to 5 days to get the money. How can this be at all fair to the seller. Not only that but the worst part is when the seller sells something and the buyer has to now pay tax on the item, they add that tax amount to your selling price and then they charge you the 12.35%. To me there is just to many issues with eBay.

This was mid December and now it is January 20th. eBay also charged my account for $124 without any explanation.

The best part is that eBay doesn't even have anyone you can call! Good luck texting the robot! I have had an eBay account for several years, if not a decade. This is the final straw for me. eBay doesn't care about customer service and protecting their sellers, the people who keep eBay running in the first place. EBay does nothing to protect its sellers. I have been a casual seller on EBay for a few years, and in the last two months I have lost $130 to EBay’s shady practices. I am not a business or anything, so I have no "budget" for things to go wrong. This last November, I decided to sell a few items to make a little money before Christmas - what a mistake! Out of five listings I posted, I have had serious issues with three of them. The first listing was delayed in the 2020 Dec postal mess - and I was harassed by the buyer who accused me of being "fishy" because the package was delayed. They opened an item not sent request and got their money back. The item arrived a couple weeks later - but the request was closed and EBay would do nothing about it. So lost my item and money for postage ($15). My second listing was just deleted after I made the sale - no explanation, it is just gone. I never received a message from EBay explaining what happened.

For the third listing I sold a used computer, after a fresh OS install. The buyer had troubles with the drivers and updates and decided that these issues meant the computer was broken and started a return request (even though my seller & listing profile states "No Returns"). There was no way to contest the return – the computer had been working fine when I had it, and I am not sure what happened, but I accepted the return. I was required to pay for the return shipping, so I was out $50 for shipping on this item. I also had been charged $40 for the final value fee. Ebay said I should be reimbursed for that if I followed their return procedures – but weeks later I have not seen that money yet. Then this morning, they charged me for the return shipping again ($26)! So, in my effort to make a little extra money for Christmas, I am now out $130. I will not be selling on EBay again.

I am cancelling my eBay membership after many years. I bought rare books from an international seller, who in response to multiple pre-purchase queries assured me that they were in "excellent" condition. Book condition standards are objective - they are not up to the seller's personal opinion. On arrival, the books were in poor condition - smoke and water damaged. I initiated a return, and at the seller's request spent more than a month trying to find the lowest cost return shipment service.

Meanwhile, ebay directed the seller to pay for the return, and the seller then credited the cost of return through PayPal. Despite more than 60 emails posted on ebay documenting the purchase, return, and attempt to be responsive to the seller, ebay closed the return after 10 days, claiming that I had not resolved the return. That left me no alternative but to seek protection through my Visa bank, which immediately recognized the validity of my documentation (more than a dozen photos plus all the emails) and reversed the charge. Ebay then claimed that this action absolved them of all responsibility, notwithstanding direction they had issued recognizing the return and requiring payment.

AFTER I shipped the books back, in a scurrilous and unconscionable attempt to avoid paying for the return shipment, the seller went to PayPal and attempted to dispute his own credit to me as "unauthorized". Ebay obdurately refused to recognize the dishonest and deceitful nature of this action, and in more than 2 dozen emails insisted that I had initiated a dispute with PayPal when it was clearly something that the seller initiated! Luckily PayPal showed more integrity than eBay and ultimately disallowed the dispute. However eBay's behavior irremediably damaged their reputation and borders on complicity in fraud.

As a final straw, eBay has blocked me from leaving feedback on this seller! No one who seeks an honest broker and normal protection in the risky seas of online transactions can afford to disregard eBay's behavior, including their resistance to entertaining an honest discussion with me about what was going on. Buyer beware! eBay is NOT an honest broker, will not protect you, and will refuse to recognize reality in communicating with you.

I immediately informed them, and eBay said, "We don't care, tell the seller." Their contact info for the seller was inaccurate, so I had to hunt them down. I found the seller and contacted them, and they said, "We don't care, we're going to mail it to this old address eBay supplied." I contacted the post office, but they said the shipper had not made available any means to intercept or redirect the package, even if I paid extra.

The item was lost forever. eBay said the seller probably didn't see my message until after it was sent - but the seller replied to my message, which was sent within at most 20 minutes of seeing that eBay intended to ship my package to a wrong address rather than the one I had given them. The seller ("my-best-source") literally told me they were going to send it to the wrong address. It wasn't shipped until the following day. They stole $70+ from me, and gave me nothing in return.

Please never, ever try to buy anything from eBay, and certainly not from "my-best-source." You will regret it. They automatically generate fake 5-star reviews when you place an order! My experience - the most awful customer service experience I've ever had - generated fake 5-star reviews. This review is about selling on eBay- be careful, I have been a small seller for 10 years, a few items a year, but eBays newer policies make it impossible to continue. A buyer can return any item for any reason and the seller is stuck return shipping even on auctions clearly stated as no returns. I sold factory sealed new-in-box beats and the buyer opened them, changed their mind, and eBay gave them a full refund, charged me return shipping and on top of this, their affiliate PayPal charged me $20 for having a negative PayPal balance while waiting for ebay to "resolve" the issue. Very dishonest, debating whether a formal complaint with the better business bureau is worth my time. I will be closing my eBay and PayPal accounts.

Customer service said they could give me no information, nor tell me anything about my order. The only thing they said was that if I do not receive the item, to call my credit card company. They are totally untrustworthy. Never will try using them again. It is clear why Amazon is taking their business.

Obviously it can. this isn't the first time I have had something just disappear out of my purchases things out of my cart and this is not the first time.

I contacted the seller five times with no result. EBay does not back its customers. It backs the sellers. You are not good with the sellers either. I have proof of purchase. Screenshot even. EBay coz they cannot help me no matter what because it's been over 30 days. I have not received the item still! So it's okay for the seller and company to rip you off no matter what? I'm being ignored by the seller and eBay. They could give a rat's ass that I got ripped off! Taking people's money for dinners and parties. We weren't even invited too. Lol. I won't shop on the website again. My friends won't either including my mom.

However I never got the shipping information of the company and they stated that they were told it was delivered but the only person that delivers sets of my house is FedEx. USPS and Amazon mainly. I am a disabled woman which my mailman knows to bring my mail to my door and I have a canine dogs. I will be working so let me know if someone was outside. Even if they came and parked in Front of my house my dogs were in for me.

However nothing has been heard and I have I received anything my neighbors haven’t received nothing. This was at $98 item for both of them combined. I asked for a replacement or a refund didn’t know if the item still exist I don’t know exactly how eBay works I know it’s for people to sell things. I know they don’t longer need and for people to make business is awful. So I didn’t know if the gentleman had other items through to be able to resend. However he never once bothered to apologize to me that I never received the item and offered to re-ship it. He just told me due to eBay‘s policy there’s nothing more he can do because if it shows delivered that means it’s delivered.

Well that’s not great customer service and I don’t recommend anybody ordering anything off eBay because if you don’t get your product you’re screwed and the only choice you have at that point is to contact your bank and check your bank card ATM number that you use on that purchase and then get your money back. But it’s FDIC approved however. Who wants to go through that hassle. But unfortunately that’s what I had to do. So therefore at that point I had to notify everybody that was being paid every month off my card to put my car back on file with them. It was just a really bad bad bad experience.

The handcuffs placed on the poor underpaid Philippine customer service folks at eBay are unfair. The company boasts customer support but then doesn't give the tools to their CS staff. They get stuck on semantics. The idea that they have nothing better to tell a customer than to say "it's the seller's agreement" is nonsense. What's the point of buying through eBay if they're not the ultimate guarantor that the public puts their faith in to resolve any matters that arise. This was my first and last return to eBay as I will take my business elsewhere. I recommend you do as well. The money saved by using overseas staff should be used on reimbursements. I've been a eBay customer since 2015 (ID# **), customer service is not good. eBay sellers have a bad communication towards their buyers or customers in their majority. Shipping can take up to a month, missing or perhaps tampered. Most of this sellers are either from Singapore or China, making their delivery a long wait up to a month, inaccurate description of the products being sold on eBay.

Only a few sellers are from the US and if things go the way you hope for...you might get it in within 5 days or more. If your package comes from Singapore or China more than likely you're buying a "knockoff" or a similar item that you were hoping to get for...why? Because China has a lot of copywrite infringements when it comes to making a cheaper product for the same price as the original (copycat)...why risk it then?... I rather go to a national warehouse store or a super big chain store and get what I need right then and there without any delays or waiting for my package to show up in my mailbox a month later (must cases).

eBay, in their separation from PayPal, sent an email that stated that we could not continue to sell on the site until we filled out a form. It started with asking for name, address, phone number, date of birth and social security number, which I was not eager to give out but reluctantly filled in. The next page wanted my bank and PayPal's sign-in and password. Right away, a red flag. I went on Ebay's site and with an online chat confirmed that this was indeed from Ebay. When I told the Rep. that I would not give out that information, she transferred me to another person just as I received a phone call. While I put that call on hold, she cut the conversation off because I didn't immediately respond. Subsequently I sent an email explaining my refusal to provide this information and that I would be happy to provide routing and account numbers. I have not heard back. Has anyone else had this request?

Unfortunately, eBay has shown itself to be an absolutely unreliable company that deceives it customers by going back on legally binding promises, and allowing sellers to harass, intimidate and stalk buyers with death threats and racist comments. A seller has sent me about 30-40 death threats, harassing messages and racist comments; all of these are forwarded by eBay to my e-mail address, making it nearly impossible to continue trading (not that I'd want to after this experience). Despite numerous attempts, eBay refuses to block or take any action against this user. They say this behaviour is absolutely okay and permitted on their platform.

eBay however did promise me to refund all the money for this transaction on October 8th (seller had violated at least 3 clauses of eBay's own selling policy), based on which I made several decisions that cost me money. But today, suddenly, they went back on that promise, because... this organization's left hand has no idea what its right hand is doing. Everything is documented. I am now taking eBay to court due to default, neglect and fraud.

This seller, Hollywood2013, has a couple of reviews that are similar to my experience. She took my money for the merchandise but never shipped the item. She did not contact me for 2 months at which time she said she would be shipping that week; 3 weeks later and still no merchandise. I cannot leave feedback on eBay because it has been more than 2 months since I ordered. I was unaware of this rule. Seems to me many people could be unaware of this rule and this is a great way for seller Hollywood2013 to take people's money with no intention of shipping and no concern about a negative review.

In addition, the eBay website construction/logic is horrible. It is so lacking in logic and intuitiveness, and thus frustrating, that you want to give up. My experience is limited, but I think it is not easy to determine good from bad sellers, thus requiring too much time and effort for purchasing anything from eBay to be worthwhile. I suspect the reviews are not legitimate either. Rules seem to be in support of sellers, not buyers.

I purchased an item from VR Assets on eBay but it arrived badly packed and damaged. VR Assets promised to refund if I returned the product from Colombia at my expense. I agreed to this and bought a replacement from VR Assets. The replacement arrived but was not the correct reference. Once again VR Assets agreed to refund if I returned the item at my expense. Meanwhile, Amazon refused the refund on the first defective item even after it arrived back at VR Assets, and I had paid in shipping almost the same as the value of the item. The refund promise was worthless, and I will not be returning the second item because of the shipment cost from Colombia.

VR Assets -after initially promising twice to refund if I returned the item, now say they will only do so if "FORCED TO DO SO"(sic) by Ebay. Ebay now do not reply to my requests to review the two cases. The Ebay website has no easy way to send emails to them. VR Assets {vrassets) have no business ethic and care nothing for their Clients. They do not keep their word and are incompetent. VR Assets should be avoided at all costs. Ebay are of no help in these matters and should also be avoided. I have now purchased the item I needed (a replacement laptop screen) from Amazon with no hassle and with excellent delivery and service. Good-bye and good riddance to eBay and VR Assets.

It was a part for a tool I needed. Item had a tracking number formed but no more info. I needed that part so I hung tight for 3 weeks. tried contacting the seller but nothing.

After 4 weeks, I contacted ebay to step in. Apparently I was 1 day past the deadline to get ANY help or ANY support from ebay. It doesn't matter if 4 days go by or 4 weeks....if one pays for an item and does not receive it, they should be compensated. Many other selling platforms back their buyers, but here, I am not protected...Time is on the seller's side. Was just hoping ebay would be FAIR and get me a refund but they refused. They left he shaking my head in disappointment. Will have to rely on other sites to do my shopping I guess.

eBay customer service is a hit or miss. They can be extremely biased, depending on who's involved and what their misconceptions are. At best, they can empathize and bat for you. At worst, they can mess up your account so illegally that if you can gather the evidence of what they did, with every infraction they've ever committed, from every member, they would literally be run out of business long time ago. I have lost so much money both as a buyer and seller as an ebay member during my 20plus year involvement with them, we are totalling in the 5-figure mark if not more!

I tried to terminate my membership many times, but ebay does not make it easy. They require at least 3 months of no pending transactions and no logging onto their site. Otherwise it's back to day 1. If you can meet these requirements, you get a chance of "get out of jail card". Overall, I do not recommend them as a source for sellers either, because based on my 20plus years selling on their site, I have lost more money than profited from a gain. Lowballing and being screwed by purchasing from overpriced sellers are common. I do not recommend them as a buying source also because most of the merchandise sold are useless on a practical level, and attract a purely addictive, self-centered motive to buy more and more. In short, the only party that really profits from these transactions is eBay itself. They suck up the bank accounts and bring out the worst in people. I do not recommend them as a resource to anyone in my most honest assessment.

It's despicable that you're still allowing hundreds of sellers to heavily price gouge Clorox wipes. Your eBay statement says that you are protecting your customers from being taken advantage of during a pandemic, and that you are removing such listing, but the practice continues to be an issue every day. It is unfair and unethical to allow this practice to continue when the product is nowhere to be found anywhere else, while eBay continues to profit from these huge markups.

I've reported hundreds of such listings to eBay but they continue to appear day after day. I'm very angered and disappointed by the way this practice has been allowed to continue for so many months. Please take the correct actions to prevent these listings from being permitted. Please heavily monitor the activities of such sellers by using a number of keywords that sellers are using to avoid being found in the system and take action against the sellers who are guilty of this practice. People need this product and do not want to be ripped off.
