I am reading all of these reviews and keep wondering if these people actually shop at Amazon.com the U.S. division or one off an archipelago in a disputed zone or something. Amazon.com is truthfully, perhaps the best company on the planet, and I honestly thought on the dot com era, it wouldn't last. (I was wrong) These people understand what it is to truly be customer centric. I have bought at Wal-Mart (disgusting experience but often necessary. They have slow loading websites, draconian customer service and I'm pretty sure the cancellation department is run by 5 baboons and 1 monkey). I have bought from HHGregg (Possibly the best choice for those wishing to contemplate suicide would be to call the customer service department and sit back into infinity waiting for an actual human. They don't answer emails, cancel orders and not update. They are Wal-Mart on crack).
I choose Amazon.com because their site is easy to navigate, fast loading, plenty of variety even for items such as persian rugs, tapestries, marble busts and vintage books which are the norm for my unusual orders. And on the few occasions that I have had items to return or items which are received and are absolutely not what was advertised, Amazon.com customer service are always on top of the game. They offer full refunds (which aren't necessary). They comp and hold to account sellers who try to get cute or outright ignore you. They do what they say with no complaints, even when you reach the call centers in Indonesia. Doesn't matter, these people are the ethos of their company.
Every now and then one can have a bad experience, considering you're doing this from your home in your underwear at 3am, and not in the store browsing, it's to be expected. Wal-Mart would say sorry, it's out of our control and if you insist they may offer you 10% off. I've actually have canceled orders with them and reordered and received double shipments at double the cost. HHGregg never answer their phone or email so it's hard to guess what they would do. While Wal-Mart is run by primates, HHGregg is probably where God evaluates pond scum and other single cell microbial life. Not anyone with much intelligence or even semblance of pride in their job.
Balance increases: call up Synchrony Bank and follow the automated responses, then simply verify your I.D. and ask for the amount you need. And in less than 30 seconds you'll have an answer. For someone with a credit score between 629-700 they approve 3,000 dollars without batting an eyelash. Everyone has bad days, but come on now. This company is truly a God send for all us lazy people who don't want to get off the couch or waddle through a department store with people gawking at our cart! Their prices are very good, they price match, they offer rain checks, they run a 24 hour customer service with live chat, telephone operators and email support. God probably shops here.
And for the prime members, some experiences notwithstanding, when you go to check out don't rush through it. Be diligent, look at the shipping rates, double back if needed to make sure you're not accepting a prime trail membership or getting another shipping method other than what is advertised. Be diligent. That's my take on this company, my experiences and I've been shopping here for about 10 years.

I paid for Prime only to receive WORSE delivery service than ever! They do not deliver in their 2-day guaranteed window. (2 of 10 for my orders). They have HORRIBLE customer service who you cannot even understand AT ALL! (Outsourcing). They simply take your money and do not care at all. DO NOT purchase Amazon Prime... Bad product, bad customer service from Amazon. They are terrible.

In the history of customer service, this is the worst experience ever. Firstly, the call centers are located in different parts of the world, so you're not guaranteed of getting the same set of people you talked to (and of course different information). Secondly, it is just all round terrible experience. I have been a customer service rep myself, and I do understand how frustrating it can get, so I tend to be polite and not get reps tensed. But regardless of my best effort at being polite, I've had the call dropped on me twice within 30 minutes, I'm still on the phone right now waiting to talk to a supervisor which probably is not going to happen (a supervisor named Denis from the Philippines eventually came online and started saying hello, mute the call afterwards and dropped the call, I'm laughing really hard at this point because it's so ridiculous).
I am a prime member, ordered an item that was listed as prime with an expected 4-5 days delivery, an item needed urgently for school work. The item was never shipped after 3 days. I called and was assured it'll still process accordingly. Long story short, they move the expected delivery date another week, now it's been processing all day since yesterday. Amazon used to be okay, prime membership is definitely not worth it no more, and the customer service people needs to be properly trained especially the supervisors. I wish there was a way to give the idiots a negative rating. If anybody out there know what number to call to file a complaint about the 'amazing' Amazon service, share please. Thanks.

Really getting tired of sending out my items and having customers use my items then scam for the money back. Like the customer who kept the book for 3 1/2 weeks then sends me email saying I sent him wrong edition. Well he is shopping under wrong section for book he is looking for but if you tell him that he will leave negative feedback. Now he read the book and now wants his money back and as a seller I have to play along with his scam if I want to keep my account in good standing. I felt like asking him why it took him 3 1/2 weeks to figure out it was wrong book. However it wasn't wrong book. My ad clearly stated the edition of the book. He is just done reading it and wants his money back. I am not a library.

Amazon DID come to my rescue when I purchased a $700 camera. When it arrived it was not only used but 'international' meaning the video codec's could not be used on USA television sets. It was an Asian product meant for that area only. NOW I'm quite upset because every time I try to write a 'civil' review of the fake product I'm rebuffed. Amazon will not accept a negative review of the company or the product. I've got an RMA. I'm returning it. Who gets it next?

My renewal came up so I changed it. I got hit for 99 then 10.99 then 8.99. Called customer support about the billing issues and was told I would have to wait 3 to 5 days for my refund. Was told by the rep he was going to talk to his superior and when he came back said there was nothing he could do. Then looked up my account and saw all the charges and said it was my fault for all three charges. But he would pass on the issue. I cancelled my service with them on the spot. NOT HAPPY. I will make a point of telling others about the poor support I have received from them.

Okay, I have to admit, Amazon has a superb selection of items. Their prices are not as competitive as they used to be or have to be because they've put much of the competition out of business. For that reason, I refuse to become a Prime member. Instead, like others, I buy from other companies when their prices are the same or less which happens frequently because EVERY other company ships faster when they offer free shipping. So, I order much more now from eBay, Home Depot, Walmart, and B&H Photo which provide much faster shipping. I'm convinced that Amazon just ignores orders from non-Prime members for at least a week before starting to fulfill them as a way to pressure you to join Prime. With me, it just aggravates the heck out of me and motivates me to buy from another company whenever possible.
Another problem with Amazon which has gotten much worse this past year is the selling of counterfeit products by third parties. I much prefer eBay's guarantees which is much faster at resolving this kind of issue. Finally, I have been talking about sales handled directly through Amazon. Sales through third parties are usually delivered much more quickly than free Amazon shipped items.

Amazon has outsourced most all of their customer support jobs to India, Philippines and so on that are absolutely a complete joke! I have received a bad review based on complete LIES, which were corroborated by messages left on Amazon's board. This particular buyer purchased an item. Within 12 hours from the purchase, and AFTER the item was just shipped, he filed a return request based on the fact that the item was defective, despite the fact that the item was still in transit to him. An utterly, bold faced lie!
I did explain to that particular buyer, that it is NOT POSSIBLE to claim a "Defective" item, if you do not have it in your possession! Well, as a result, the buyer, slammed me with a negative feedback, claiming that I am not being cooperative with his claim (even though, I did approve the return of the item, that was yet to arrive to him). I did contact the amazon feedback removal team, and presented the case in extreme detail, thinking that this is for sure a case of dismissal of such deceiving feedback! Well, to my dismay, the reply received from such "department" was beyond belief!!!
The message from amazon is HUMILIATING and HORRENDOUS vis-à-vis anything that has to do with decency, professionalism, and understanding of the request! Whoever replied to my request had absolutely no clue! He did "investigate" the case and reached the conclusion that the buyer has received a defective item... that is still in transit to the buyer!! How CAN IT BE?? Amazon should be ASHAMED of themselves by employing such individuals! SHAME ON AMAZON!!!

While making any regular purchase I make with Amazon, this one buying fish tank pads. I looked through my bank account later that week to see amazon charged me $106.98 for an amazon prime membership I don't have and didn't sign up for. After calling and feeling fine about being refunded a week later I noticed I wasn't refunded yet, called again, THEY NEVER PUT MY TRANSACTION THROUGH. A week later they refund me and THE NEXT DAY CHARGE ME AGAIN another $106.98!
Someone living check to check that's a good amount of money. After three weeks of back and forth arguing being told I would be refunded and such come to find out all the SUPERVISOR Stefano had to say was, "I'm sorry but we already refunded your money. There is no further action we can take." MIND BLOWN! Amazon I will never use you again and I'm still waiting after two weeks for them to close my account down! What a joke. To all of those choose anything other than amazon and NEVER give them your bank information as they will freely charge you as they please.

I'm a very frequent customer of Amazon and a Prime member but I do NOT stand by their 2 day prime delivery promise! Also, customer service is a non-existent department. When I tried contacting customer service about not receiving my Prime delivery products in 2 days, after 3 emails with 3 different representatives was sent the same teleprompted message on how they are sorry for inconvenience & sometimes problems happen in transaction but they don't explain problem or cause for delay. On top of that, when I replied back to their email to explain my situation and tried to get explanation, Amazon replied that it would no longer respond to my inquiries.
Now is that how a company that promises customer satisfaction supposed to treat long time loyal customers? If so, I could get better service at local discount store. Last but not least I was not even offered any type of compensation for my inconvenience or their mistakes. Any effort to try to improve my experience would have been appreciated. I see Amazon is another big company that could care less about a single paying customer when they make millions of dollars. In closing, DO NOT trust Amazon's policy, promise or practice.

Since I only purchase from Amazon 2 or maybe 3 times a year, I opted not to pay the $120 (with tax) prime fee this year. Needless to say, Amazon made sure I suffered for that. Placed my order for a set of 6 furnace filters almost 6 days ago and still has not shipped. States "shipping today" for past 2 days. Today, I tried to cancel my order and received an email that it was too late to cancel. Still sitting there and has not shipped. This will be my last effort with Amazon. Seems they are going the way of the other "big time" retail outlets and ignoring their customers UNLESS they pay (Prime fee) to buy their products.
So sorry to hear this, Amazon used to be the best but I can no long say that. Seems when a customer has a complaint, they offer an extra month of Prime as consolation. Does no good for me, I want my item which I bought and paid for. I started buying from Walmart.com and they are kicking Amazon with great prices and exceptional delivery dates or even come in and pick up at local store. Amazon better treat that swollen head of theirs fast or they will be losing out.

Amazon allows buyers to get their item FREE from the sellers simply by filing an A-Z Claim. The seller has NO actual recourse; although Amazon will mislead the seller to believe they do. Amazon Customer Service will even tell and assist buyers on how to get their item for FREE, at the seller's expense. So buyers on Amazon are told that if they lie, they can get the item for free, no questions asked. All the buyer has to do is file an A-Z claim and state 'Not as Described'. No proof, evidence, or explanation is required. Nothing else need be done, and the buyer is sent a full refund and is told they can keep the item. The seller is told their money is debited from their account. A-Z Claim dept will not explain or assist the seller in any way, they just shut them out.

I have been trying to buy a Jet pro bandsaw since December of last year. The first order was through a third party seller. After waiting almost a month they cancelled my order because the saw wasn't available. I waited until the date they said it would be available and ordered it again. They swiftly cancelled my order again. Now this is even though their website said it was in stock. After this they took it off their site. Today, Feb 22, 2017 I was on the Amazon site and they had two of the same saws for sale that were used. So I ordered one. Again a third party seller.
A few hours later the seller cancelled my order due to "a technical problem". I called Amazon customer service and they did some research and I was told that the seller changed the price from $500 to $900. I don't understand how they can change the price after I already ordered it. They said they would look into the matter but gave me no assurance that anything will be done. Is it not illegal to change a price on an item after someone ordered it? I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

Bought a product from Amazon and it took over a week just to ship. When I complained they said, "your order was Free Shipping". Right, I didn't want to sign up for Prime which they push on you. My order qualified for free shipping so I selected that option. It took 10 days to get my item which I felt was excessively slow. When I got the item it was defective, DOA, so I returned it. Amazon is great for returns but so are others. Instead of reordering and waiting another 10 days, I ordered from Walmart. Same price. It took 2 days to get to my door.
My review to Amazon related my story. Do you think they allowed that kind of review?? No way. They totally edited my review. That is not the review I submitted!! Making it a false/incomplete review. Don't trust the reviews on Amazon. They are not legit. AND, don't order Prime! That is a total ripoff. Amazon has tried to dominate the online market but there are better choices out there. I will not be ordering from Amazon any more than absolutely needed.

Amazon.com fraudulently debited monies from my account for almost $3k. When I called them about it they denied it and treated me like crap and I am a frequent ordering Prime member. When I asked for someone on the management level I was told that it would take 24 hrs to get a call back. I made a Canon camera and lens purchase. Instead of making the authorized debits for the two items minus the available gift card balance, they debited my account 4 different times for 4 different amounts each between $1,000-$1,600.00.
They refused to allow me to provide proof of the charges and kept saying that they didn't debit my card but these additional purchases caused my initial purchases to be declined because my bank flagged them as a potentially fraudulent transaction and denied them. A few minutes later I received a potential fraudulent purchase email from my bank. If they will treat a frequent purchasing Prime member in this manner, no one is exempt. In the past they also sent me products that I did not order. Please be aware of all purchases made by this company. Exiting Prime member.

Amazon's website said my package would be delivered today. However, it was delivered yesterday. The driver did not bother to ring the bell but did leave my package... under a bush. Outside. In the middle of a large urban apartment complex. Oh, and I was home and the driver noted that my package was handed "directly to a resident". That bush does not constitute a resident!
The first person I spoke to didn't even register that this is a problem. He was the reason I learned that my package was outside under a bush. The second person I spoke to didn't know how to handle the situation. The third person I spoke to, someone in logistics, was helpful but, again, didn't seem to recognize that leaving a package like this - with no notice to the customer - was not only unacceptable, but just bad business. I should note that my specific building has people home all day AND has a complex office where every other shipping company delivers the packages.

Well, Amazon use to be a good customer service company but I've noticed a lack of it this past year. January 2017 showed improvement, but it must have been a fluke because once again I find myself very dissatisfied. I have several items on automatic reorder as they are a good price and subscriptions give an extra percentage off. Amazon always emails you before they place the order for you to look it over and confirm. I did this February before my order was placed, checking the prices, holding off on some items that had gone up, switching other items for ones that are a better price. I buy a lot of dog treats and so I got for ones that are a couple dollars.
Satisfied with my February order, I let Amazon place my modified subscription but took a screenshot as I've lately been feeling I was paying more for things than I originally assumed I agreed to. Sure enough, when Amazon charged my subscription order I noticed the prices were not the ones listed when I checked what Amazon was going to charge me. A few pennies here and there is something I could just accept, but one specific item was almost double the price! I contacted Amazon right away, just an hour or two after being told they charged me.
Customer service says it's against their policy to honor price changes. I explained it wasn't a price change, it was Amazon not honoring the listed price I agreed to after confirming that months order. But "Too bad," they said. I tried twice through email but it went nowhere. I tried again through the chat box, still no. I mean we're talking $3.75 on an order well over $100, but at this point I'm irritated over the principle of false advertisement essentially.
I know the prices change monthly, and I can accept that, but to not honor the price listed on the day I basically was told to confirm my order? I just don't get it... To me this is illegal. It's basically saying, "We'll charge you when we want, and if the price goes up between you agreeing to the purchase, too bad for you." So warning to those that like the subscription option, confirming your order doesn't confirm the price, and it can go near double, heck, I guess it can go as high as Amazon wants it to, and you're just SOL.

Amazon is condoning this type of mess against the very people that are loyal to them. I am done.
Buyer Beware of This Seller. This company does not even deserve a rating... I ordered this shoe 2/2/17... It was expected to be delivered between 2/8 and 2/13. The item was showing shipped by FedEx on 2/8/17. So Feb 13 passed no shoe. Feb 14 no shoe. I send a message to the seller - no response. I contact Amazon and they saw there was no tracking info and they attempted to contact the seller by phone - no answer. I sent another message to the seller requesting my mo eye back on 2/14 and 2/15 still no response.
I filed an A-Z claim with Amazon so finally I receive an email from the seller saying they researched and my package was shipped out??? They had just shipped it out on 2/16/17... I responded to them and they attempted to call me. I am an Amazon Prime member with an extensive order history with Amazon. This seller need to go. They can keep that shoe. I purchased another shoe from another company and received it within 2 days.
I do not recommend patronizing this company and Amazon really. We'd to Vet the sellers they allow to sell on this site because loyal customers such as myself do not have time to go through BS with sellers with no integrity. There is a reason we shop online because I hate going into stores but if you tell us a product will be delivered by a certain date that is exactly what we expect... Don't lie and act like the product has been shipped out and it was not. P.S. I had to give a 1 Star because a rating is required... Keep that Shoe because I no longer need or want it.

But this were small amounts so I didn't really care to get the refund. But 2 weeks ago, I ordered a new laptop, it stopped working in a week so I had to send it back. Then I started browsing for some other laptop on their website and in two days I receive a new laptop that I didn't order. Reason for review: I have grown suspicious of 5 star product reviews on Amazon recently. I'd like to apprise the public that Amazon reviews are no longer reliable as the consumer receives a discounted price for an "honest" review. Experience: I was a good customer of theirs up until I began reading numerous 5 star reviews on [what I thought to be] a mediocre product. It was then that I had realized that all of the reviews ended with, "I received this item at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest review" which, didn't settle well with me. In any event, I appreciated the disclosure and I carried on knowing that I would have to be extra thorough and NOT solely rely on reviews.
I contacted a seller for an item a few weeks ago and I inquired about the discounted rate for an "honest" review. They were receptive and they gave me a few dollars discount on an item. I was thrilled! Then they informed me that Amazon no longer requires the disclosure regarding the items being received for a discounted price. I was aghast. I have not boycotted Amazon for this bold move [yet]. However, I am more leery, I will not be relying on their reviews, and I will be more thorough prior to purchasing anything from Amazon. Do NOT rely on their reviews as those consumers do get some type of "kickback" for writing them. Whether it's $5 or 50% off, THAT'S a kickback. So I proceeded to go online and open an account. I previewed their website, chose a product, checked out, opened a Prime account membership, they suggested opening a Chase Visa Amazon card for future purchases, which I did and was given immediate "approval" with a $4,000.00 purchasing limit. (I also have 6 Chase accounts) Thursday, Feb. 9th, received email verifying that my personal account was established, my product was scheduled with a confirmation #, and scheduled for a Saturday delivery, which I opted to pay extra for.
Saturday, I was there from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm thinking that my item was to arrive. My business meeting went on without my marketing tools as planned. Monday, I attempted to access my account and Amazon had blocked it and every time I attempted to reset a new password, it failed. Finally, I was able to locate their actual, manned customer service department and was given a song and dance and basically their personnel intentionally didn't give me any actual reasons, just said the merchandise was not shipped. That I knew.
Today, Monday, I received a confirmation that my new Chase Visa Amazon card was on its way! Only problem is they have charged me for the purchase in advance, and breached the sales agreement. Now at present I owe them $100.00 membership and over $500.00 for a product I have not and apparently will not be receiving. They insisted that the severe weather may have only affected the sender! I then reassured her that the weather advisory is over in the Tri-State area and that I can go pick up the package. The representatives took hours to investigate rather than get me the address to pick up my package. I called her 3x during her "investigations" and she requested more time. By the time she called me back the service location was closed.
After realizing that 2 of the 3 items I ordered arrived on time. They offered me an extra month of Prime service which was nice but totally unhelpful. What happened to the Amazon that I used to love and spend so much money at. God forbid you are sick and buy medicine or supplements for your illness. You will be promised two day shipping but good luck with that happening and if it comes on the second day it will real be almost 3 days (getting to you very late in the day). Their shipping (AMZL) just gave my package (medicine) to some random apt who eventually (after banging on doors, crying, and being sick circling the building in the winter) the neighbor admitted she saw my package but claims she put it on the maintenance guys steps. The maintenance guy says he never saw it. I don't believe her because if a package doesn't have your name an honest person would just contact the carrier.
Anyway, the driver never read my delivery instructions, then tried to say I added them after the package was delivered (I advise anyone to take a screenshot when they add instructions). She is apt 2, I'm 11 and I asked them to bring it to my apt or if the apt bldg door was locked (it locks automatically) to leave it in the mailbox. Well that never happened and decided to leave it at apt 2 (only God knows why). Spent 2 hours on the phone with Amazon and it was a Friday. The agent was nice (he was about the 4th person I had spoke to and the 1st intelligent person) however his options were unacceptable. He offered to expedite shipping and resend on next day shipping complimentary so it would get here on Saturday (it was a great option) until he plugged in the next day shipping and it said the package wouldn't arrive till Tuesday (it's now Friday). His efforts weren't helping the situation.
I'll skip a lot here because it was too much BS to go through everything and now the burden is on me to tell my story. I patiently waited all weekend getting much more sick. On late Monday night I noticed my package still showed as not shipped. I contacted the chat forum and she promised me it would arrive in Tuesday. I explained that I was confused as to how it would arrive when now it was already Tuesday (after midnight). We went back and forth cause she insisted it was Monday and the package would arrive tomorrow. I explained the package is shipping from the east coast (oil) and I'm on the east coast and it's already Tuesday here. Not to mention all of their customer reps seem to have hard to understand accents and talk like stupid robots saying sorry or sorry for the inconvenience. All they know is how to offer a stupid promotion on your account to order more Amazon products that you don't even want instead of refunding you.
I'd rather not have the problem to begin with then deal with promotions or store credit. It was one mistake after another. Anyway she said it would arrive on Tuesday so I went to sleep. Woke up on Tuesday and my account still said not shipped. It arrived on Wednesday and the worst part was is now UPS handed my package to my neighbor who was walking in the bldg. I was home. How does UPS not know that this neighbor was a thief or had good intentions. At least, this guy was honest and gave me my package, but what if history had repeated.
The promotion they give you is only able to be used for overpriced items that are sold and shipped by Amazon. What a way to keep your stocks up. I'm sure based on what they pay wholesale for these items that it cost them nothing to mess up our orders. Of course there is more to the story, but this new Amazon... sucks so bad. Luckily the product is fabulous but their shipping is horrible and customer service people sound like they are in a foreign country just taking abuse from Amazon's pissed off customers. It's like they have a boss standing over them making sure they keep saying dirty.

I ordered an electronic door lock from a seller on Amazon Prime with GUARANTEED 2 day delivery, which is why I bought through Amazon instead of eBay, as my customer needed this lock to secure their new home. After 8 days of not receiving the item, I contacted the seller who said he submitted the product to Amazon for shipping the same day I placed the order. To this day I still haven't received the item. I called Amazon's customer service and they gave their standard answer, "we're sorry we do not know what happened. Give us two weeks to find out, we'll give you a free Prime account and refund your money". How does this help my reputation with my client of not being able to complete a project because of lousy shipping service from a monopoly company who only cares about their profits and image and NOT the customer. From now on I will purchase from ANY other company BUT Amazon.

On Saturday, February 4, 2017 after having a terrible experience receiving a package I ordered from Amazon I called and cancelled my Amazon Prime membership. The person on the phone did not tell me which one of the credit/debit cards listed on my account would the money be refunded to. I came to find out today that it was supposedly refunded to my old Wells Fargo debit account. After calling Amazon customer service several times and Wells Fargo and getting nowhere I finally asked to speak to a supervisor at Amazon. I was referred to a person who would only tell me his name was Chris **.
Chris proceeded to yell at me over the phone and tell me that it was my fault that the money was refunded to a closed account and that I was trying to get him to break the law. I simply told him what I was told by Wells Fargo. The representatives at Wells Fargo said that they had no record of a refund to my closed account and that it would've been impossible for a refund to process to a closed account. They suggested that I tell Amazon to figure out an alternative for repayment. I was on the phone with Amazon representatives for two hours, during which someone placed me on hold for forty minutes!
Then I got to Chris, which was a bigger mistake and a worse experience. This "supervisor" who has obviously been terribly trained, refused to listen or to be helpful or offer any kind of alternative, instead he just yelled at me and said I was trying to get him to break the law which didn't make any sense to me since I was just asking for the money I was owed, and instead of listening he just spoke over me the more I tried to explain.
As a librarian and someone who works with people I know I would've been terminated at my employment if I ever treated someone the way Chris treated me. I had undergone a difficult experience already with my last Amazon order and I had really hoped that a company like Amazon would be more willing to help someone who has been a customer since 2002. After this horrible experience I will never be ordering from Amazon again since I now see how little Amazon values its long-time, loyal customers. The level of anger and frustration I had been led to experience by Amazon customer service representatives was completely unnecessary, uncalled for and unprofessional.

Having sold consumer electronics for almost 20 years, I am very aware of what I'm purchasing when it comes to televisions. I placed an order for a particular model 4K TV advertised by a seller that showed it to be in stock. The product delivered was the wrong model and I requested return authorization thru my Amazon Prime membership with a detailed explanation as to why. I had to contact the seller to get approved for the return and then back to Amazon to get the correct "free" shipping label they tried to screw me out of. Next, I reported the false advertising through the almost impossible to find channels and waited to see the results. You guessed it folks, not even an attempt to take down the ad or even as much as a retraction to try and act like it wasn't blatant false advertising.
I WAS a Amazon Prime customer purchasing on average about 3k a month (business/home) products. I made one last attempt at getting their attention with no results and cancelled my account. Not one word of apology or concern was ever seen. I'm sure they'll never miss the money I was spending but at the same time I don't miss a damn thing about them either.

I have bought 2 eye creams from 2 separate sellers on Amazon. Both products were sold by Amazon Prime. Both products were fake products and I contacted the sellers. When I didn't hear back from the sellers I contacted Amazon to let them know. I also left reviews about the products being fake and that the buyers should beware of purchasing this product. I used no bad language or obscene content in my reviews. Amazon rejected my reviews. This shows that Amazon does not take selling fake products seriously and supports this behavior by rejecting reviews when consumers complain that a product is fake.

Amazon used to be THE place to go to order things. Unfortunately they have a bit of a monopoly when it comes to ordering books. And I wish they didn't now. I LOVED Amazon for years and was so happy with their service. But in the last 2 months I've had nothing but trouble! I hadn't been able to order anything for a while, but started again because of needing Homeschooling supplies for my son. Toward the end of December, I placed an order of 2 math textbooks.
3 weeks later, they FINALLY shipped. I had waited so long that during that time I signed up for Amazon Prime so I would have faster service or at least free shipping to make up for waiting. I placed a 2nd order the day before that first order shipped. The 2nd order arrived on the day the 1st order was supposed to arrive. The 1st order arrived 2 days late... and guess what? The box was EMPTY! Thankfully Amazon refunded my order. A couple of weeks later I placed a 3rd order. When it arrived, one of the math books I had ordered this time was the 1980 version instead of the 2008 version that I ordered!!! I had to return it because I don't need an outdated textbook that I didn't even order. They refunded my money quickly thankfully, but it was a pain to STILL not have the textbook I'd been trying to get for 1 month now. I gave up ordering a math book from Amazon.
Then, this last Friday I placed a 4th order of Homeschooling books. This time they charged me for the same order TWICE. It put my bank account in the hole, and another bill was returned and I was charged a $35 overdraft fee. I called Amazon and they claim I was NOT charged twice, that it was only an authorization. Well, unfortunately, my bank apparently doesn't differentiate between the two because I'm being charged for both! Gratefully I have an awesome bank and they refunded the fee and are working to dispute the 2nd charge from Amazon. I'll probably end up not getting that order at all. When I found all the horrid reviews here about Amazon I started thinking maybe they are just failing miserably lately. Do they have new policies or a new CEO or something that has changed drastically in the last few months to cause all these problems? I want the OLD Amazon back!!!

Like many other reviews, I never had a problem with Amazon until I bought a computer from Kaleidoscope Electronics. The sell price for the 2016 HP Pavilion 15 Premium Flagship Laptop (15.6-inch Touchscreen Display, Intel Core i7-6500U up to 3.1GHz, 12GB RAM, 1TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX 2 GB, Windows 10 Home) (Certified Refurbished) was listed for $504. I purchased the computer Jan 7th.
On Jan 8th I received an email from NJStar Distribution: "I am really sorry but we sent you a wrong laptop. The one we sent to you is a slower laptop (i5 4GB memory vs i7 12GB you ordered). Please refuse the delivery and the package will be returned to us. If the package can not be refused, please don't open it. just take it to any UPS location. The package can still be returned to us without you paying any shipping fees. We will issue you a full refund. Thank you."
As it turned out, the seller only wanted the computer back so they could sell it for $779. My reply: "I have no problem with the error and will do as you instructed. When you say, full refund, does that mean that you are not sending the correct laptop either?" Their reply: "I am sorry but we don't have it in stock. This laptop was listed under this configuration by mistake." I looked on Amazon and found they were still selling the computer. I wrote: "According to Amazon, you still have 3 in stock, just at a higher price."
Their reply: "We mark up the price just to prevent people from buying it. We are still investigating the cause the problem. Right now we don't have any of them in stock." My Reply: "That is a very interesting way of doing that. Let me see if I got this right, instead of removing the ad or stating in the ad that there are zero left, you decided to up the price and claim that you had 3 in stock. Is this a normal business practice for NJStar?" When I tried to alert other buyers and Amazon, Amazon deleted my reviews. I ordered a couple of movies from Amazon last December, using an Amazon gift card I got for Christmas. January's bank statement showed that my order had been debited to my debit card, and not to my gift card. When I contacted Amazon about the problem, telling them that I wanted the amount of my order debited to my gift card and my bank account credited, I was told, to my utter amazement, that there was no record of a gift card in my account. You don't just stumble into a gift card purchase. It takes real deliberation to punch in the relevant information and place the order. I remember being proud of myself that I'd left less than 50 cents on the gift card after I was through with my order.
I still have the card devoid of the stuff I'd scratched off to get to the activation code. I'd obviously used the card for a purchase. Anyway, I was told by Amazon customer service that, since there was no record of my having a gift card when I made my movie purchase, that I could only use my gift card for my next purchase. Haha. I love Amazon's optimism. I think I'll be doing business with Movies Unlimited from now on.

Same thing had no clue to what happened, refunded me the money. I ordered a Android Tablet. When I received it regular shipping it arrived different model & brand. Not even close to what I ordered.
A year later I ordered some Blu Ray movies & a TV wall mount from separate sellers. I received the Amazon with a hole in it. The TV wall mount was sticking out of box damaged and Amazon packed loosely my Blu Ray movies inside same box as the heavy TV wall mount. It broke the movie cases. I have been a loyal customer of Amazon since the very beginning when they were just selling books in the mid-late 90s. I remember it took one day for delivery, with no extra fees if you lived on the West Coast. When they expanded their warehouse system globally over the years of course things changed, but one thing that could be counted on was their continued tremendous customer service. I have always given high praise to Amazon's stellar customer service, inventory choices and prompt shipping throughout the years amongst my family, friends and colleagues.
However, as of late their reputation has changed drastically and not for the better. In the past months I have noticed a considerable decline in quality of goods received and most importantly shipping times are skewed. This includes receiving items 4-5 days late or having the shipping date mysteriously change once my credit card is charged. Recently I attempted to write an honest review of a negative experience paying for a value pack, but just receiving one item 4 days later as a Prime member. Amazon twice sent a note that my review breached their terms of service. This has never happened before and I speculate it's because of a continuous flow of recent negative reviews.
As far as historical glitches are concerned, the first breach in service occurred when I did not receive a small prime item for 3 weeks early last year. I let it slide when I was refunded the cost of the item when it was eventually delivered. Nonetheless, this same situation has repeated several times during the past few months with a variety of items I ordered from clothing to household items.
I have ironically had the best experience ordering gently used items from private sellers. The former always delivers with no problems, but the latter continues to have problems. This includes advising that something was delivered when it was not, resulting in me having to get in touch with an outsourced customer service agent who does not have the means to truly determine the cause and effect of the issue at hand. I have also experienced at least twice in the past 6 months, Amazon turning around many months later saying they did not receive a returned item that I returned immediately with proven tracked delivery.
What?! I have no other choice but to acknowledge something is very wrong with their existing fulfillment model. They are either not hiring competent people or they're losing competent employees. Who is in charge over there now? Because whatever is happening you're about to lose a long-term customer which will probably bode well for my wallet anyway.
It's a shame because Amazon had most of my business and it was a good relationship for many years. I guess I will just need to find other on-line sellers as well as hit the local brick & mortars again. There is a reason for everything and hopefully they will listen to their customer's concerns. I am not one to complain, but this has gotten out of hand and I no longer trust them to do what they say they're going to do. Not to mention it's exhausting fixing issues with them now. You'd better start telling the truth Amazon because obviously there are some holes in your process which your smart customers can no longer deny.

I purchased a regular sized activity tracker for a Christmas gift. I needed to exchange it for a large size. The price increased by 50.00 between the time I made the purchase and returned the product. Amazon insisted that I pay the increased cost while they reimbursed me for the lower price. There is no price difference between the two sizes. I felt this was unfair. I have had similar issues with brick and mortar stores and it was always resolved to my satisfaction. Amazon's initial response to my complaint took about 2 minutes (late at night) causing me to think it was a computer generated email. It said: "We work hard to find the best prices out there and make sure our prices are as low or lower changing our prices instantly if we find a lower offer somewhere else. Therefore, with the exception of TVs, we don't offer post-purchase adjustments."
A few minutes later, I received an another email asking me if my issue had been resolved to my satisfaction. I replied that it was not and repeated my complaint and they sent me a similar email with condescending rudeness added: "I realize this is frustrating; however, we aren't able to offer any additional insight or action on this matter and any further inquiries regarding this issue won't receive a response."

The customer service is awful. Don't get me wrong, I love using Amazon to shop. The problem arises when there is an issue that needs to get solved by customer services. Thus far, dealing with the individual merchants has gone fine. Even when I bought cakes that turned out to be stale, that specific merchant made a full refund - no problem. However, I recently bought a book for a course I am taking and it was in awful condition. I wrote a review with pictures describing the condition of the book and attempted to post it on Amazon. The post was reject and was told that I was talking about the merchant. At no point did I use derogatory terms or mention the merchant. I tried rewording the post more than 5 times and got rejected. One of the reviews I submitted literally said "Horrible condition" - one star and got rejected. I contacted customer services and this was their response:
"I understand you're upset and I regret that we haven't been able to address your concerns to your satisfaction. However, this was communicated earlier via email by my colleague, We won't be able to provide further insight or assistance for your request. We hope to see you again soon." I read the guidelines, I also asked them to tell me specifically how to word my simple one-star comment. I am an Amazon PRIME member and have been a loyal customer. However, I had a disturbing transaction with Amazon and I feel I must share it. Amazon will not assist. I know they can because I have done the same in a management position. I purchased a laptop for $1,310 and I chose to take next day delivery instead of PRIME because I need it for work. I was guaranteed delivery today. I was sent an email confirming payment and that I would receive it today.
Last night I received an "update" that my laptop would be delivered next Wednesday - in 7 days- not the Next Day that I paid for and was guaranteed. They sent it UPS ground, which was an error on their part. It is very deceiving to advertise next day shipping and take the money to guarantee it, and then change the date after the customer pays. I would have received this item sooner on regular 2 day PRIME.
I called customer service and spoke to a supervisor. They would not do anything to assist me. I know they could have fixed this because the label had just been created. They could have even called UPS and changed shipping instructions. I have done this as a manager on my business account corporately. They just refused because they do not care. They would not even transfer me to a department that could assist. Emails have not assisted either. I would have chosen a different retailer if I had known the length of time I would have to work because I need it for work and college.
Amazon is supposed to be a retailer that stands behind their product and customers. After this experience, I see that they only provide excuses. I have sent emails and tried to talk to supervisors. The "call center" was as good as nothing. I encourage others to seek out other online commerce sites. Amazon is not the retailer that they used to be. I need this computer for school and work. This is not a novel order - it is a necessity. I cannot work on an iPhone. This is the worst experience and I will be sharing it everywhere that I can to prevent others from having it happen to them.

It was for Plum organics Mash Ups, Tropical Fruit. I buy a case of 6 for usually around $20 give or take a few dollars. In my November order, they charged me $85, $73 after discount. FOR A SIX PACK OF SMASHED FRUIT. I never noticed this until now because I never feel like I have to worry about getting ripped off. I called their customer service and was told that "prices fluctuate".
My gripe is that if there is an item that is fluctuating to 4 times the store price, then it shouldn't be on their Subscribe and save program! How is that a "savings"? I didn't even know this happened because, like I said, I have about 20 subscriptions a month. It was also around the holidays. I have been shopping with Amazon for past 12 years and I have been seeing the deterioration in the customer service. The reps and supervisors apart from being friendly, were considerate which now has disappeared. In my latest issue with my order placed on their website but purchased from a 3rd party, Amazon refused to help me. The item was ordered 2 months back and I was assured by Amazon rep in Dec, that I will get the item. However the delivery date of Jan 11th passed and I still haven't received my order. When contacted, they said the seller left Amazon and I can file claim under A-Z Guarantee, to which I asked them, that I would prefer the product and Amazon should help me.
The item was shipped and had a delivery date. This itself shows that the seller shipped, but for some reason if now we are not able to contact the seller, then Amazon should step in and help customer. Amazon refused to help citing it's 3rd party and Amazon doesn't have any accountability or responsibility. Best they can do is that customer can file the claim and get their money back. This is no help as I can always reach out to my credit card company and dispute the purchase from the seller. However Amazon providing a platform to sellers, must have accountability if not responsibility, and help the customers. It was a genuine purchase, and hence the sale contract must be adhered to.
If it was fraudulent sale, then why did Amazon allow such sale to exist on their website. The mere presence of a fraud sale on their website proves, Amazon is either part of such scam and purposefully letting these sellers to sell on their website to drive revenue to their website OR they are indulging in to bait and switch. This is what Amazon rep asked me to do when I requested for help, is to place another order for the same item and pay $190+. This is ridiculous. I paid $40 for the item, and now they want me to pay $190 and to compensate, they offered first $5, then $10 and then their supervisor $15. It's a massive $140 difference, and Amazon help is only $15.
After refusing the offer and refusing to file a claim for the refund, as I wanted the item as per the dale contract, since the item was shipped, when I contacted 2nd time, they without my consent, filed the case on my behalf and refunded my money. They also couldn't clarify as why they did this without my consent. On contacting 3rd time, they refused to talk on this matter and even refused to compensate. This I would like to highlight to the consumer to be careful of purchasing from Amazon. And if so, do not expect great service from them.

If I love it I give 5 stars, which I often do. If I found flaws I calmly state what was wrong with it, which is rare. BUT If I find any flaws with anything at all... ever, Amazon generally emails me that they rejected my review and instructs me to write it again removing the criticism (then how is it a review?).
In specific, most recently, I bought bras from Comfort Choice. I liked the new style but some of the fabrics used in the first bra I tried felt substandard and they were easily damaged. Still I liked the style and looked for something similar on Amazon. I found another version by the *same* company Comfort Choice and took a second chance on them. The second bra of that type used stronger fabric and I really, really love it. I reviewed both later in the month at the same time and stated the above in a calm manner, just the facts. I am now banned from commenting on ANY of Comfort Choices products.
The message from Amazon when I reviewed a second purchase today and was giving it 5 stars told me that I am hostile toward the bra company and their products! I had simply gave 3 stars to the poorly made bra and said it stretched out of shape on the sides when I first put it on and put my hand under to adjust, and the fabric was instantly permanently damaged. Which was the truth. It was a nice design concept but seemed cheaply made. The other review of their stronger bra I had given 5 stars and I said I really loved the stronger bra and the quality of it. I will be buying those from now on. I had submitted both of the first two reviews at the same time, and now I am banned for "hating" Comfort Choice and cannot leave comments about their products even though I love their products, including some female boxers I bought twice and I highly recommend.
I also critically reviewed a set of Christmas box items Order **, that light up, from another seller and said they packed the box too tightly with the item, no filler, so if the delivery box was squeezed the items inside would be damaged, and in fact 3 of the items had small cracks. I said it was a great item but needed better care for shipping. That review was rejected and I was instructed to make another review that did not include criticism of the packaging. I have been asked for my buying experience, correct? That WAS my honest assessment as was asked for. I don't like being instructed to give only glowing reviews.
I started shopping at Amazon because I actually care about reviews. That is the attraction for me. This treatment changes my view (and trust) of what other buyers have written. The bras I recommend buying are the Comfort Choice Women's Plus Size Bra, 3 Pack Soft Cup, Full-Coverage Leisure, it's like a sports bra. I really like them! Whereas the one that felt cheaper made was the Comfort Choice Women's Plus Size Seamless, Wireless Leisure Bra 2-Pack. I see that someone else gave it 5 stars and says it is all cotton. It was synthetic material when I bought it, so maybe they got their bras mixed up. The actual description by the company even says "hand-washable soft nylon tricot knit; nylon/spandex lace", not cotton. So the 5 star review is false for that specific bra.
My review was: It stretches but some threads popped from the elastic when I was adjusting it down and stretching it to adjust ruined the side material (I said this because that was exactly what happened to me. How is it hostile?). And they actually let me post that comment. Which confuses me because they told me to rewrite the christmas box review because apparently they didn't like that I said the seller needs to use a bigger box, but they post the critical bra review I made and then punish me for it. If they don't want people to tell their exact experience of products, then they should just get rid of the ratings section and stop punishing and harassing people to write it again if their experience wasn't 4-5 star.

I have been a Prime member for more than 10 years, and very happy with their service. Then some time during 2016, Amazon started to suck big time. On Tuesday evening, I order an item with Prime icon under the description, thinking it would reach me Friday or Saturday with free 2 day shipping, maybe Sunday. Says order is fulfilled by Amazon, so no third party excuses available... But the order page does not even list delivery possible this week. There is an option to PAY for 1 day shipping (extra 6$) and get it Wednesday. If 1 day shipping can be at my door on Wednesday, how is it that 2 day can't be here before Monday? Customer service merely offered excuses. Apparently, they want to run the business into the ground.

When completing a transaction on Amazon you are redirected to a screen that encourages you to sign up for Prime. The button to sign us is in Large Letters and bolded the "No thanks, continue to Check-Out." I carelessly clicked the big button. Without asking for authorization or to charge my card Amazon debited $100 from my checking account. However due to my Amazon and my bank that money would take days to be redeposited. This caused my checking account to overdraft and set off a chain reaction. I have no clue how a company this large can get away with this.

Amazon has a one click feature but what they won't tell you is that just scrolling/browsing with a smartphone can cause an order you did not have/want. I called and emailed several times and Amazon customer service would not help me. The item in question had not yet shipped and yet they would not stop the shipping and took the money from my account. They said I could just return it at "my" cost. This is theft in my opinion.

I listed an iPhone 7 as new on Amazon. The phone was purchased through AT&T and I had to open the box to pop the SIM card. So I describe the device as "AT&T version, brand new in box." The phone was purchased by a guy in WARWICK, RI using an Indian credit card (order number: **). Later the buyer requested return, claiming that the device was not as described and there were scratches all over it. This is completely untrue since the device still has its factory wrap intact, the device has never been powered on. I took photos of everything in box so I could prove that. Nevertheless, the buyer filed A-Z claim. So I received the buyer's two messages self-addressed as Amazon, and one email self addressed as Amazon specialist "Mohammad". There was the claim under review but the case has never been moved to "Actions Required" section.
As someone who frequently receives messages self addressed as Amazon requiring me to ship the product but there was nothing at the web portal. I ignored the messages, but just in case I did report the concerns at the comment section of that A-Z claim. I had never been contacted by Amazon until later they said they deducted the money from my seller account, and the buyer doesn't have to return the phone.
So here are the issues: (1) I listed the phone as new. It is materially the same as what I described. It is a new phone with factory wrap intact and never been powered on. The buyer is essentially lying about the condition of the phone. Amazon never asked about any prove but deemed the item listed inaccurately. (2) Assuming that I received two messages and one email which were actually from Amazon, who also ridiculously made duplicated return requests, how could Amazon act on behalf of the buyer at the very early stage of this dispute? How could Amazon ignore the mere fact that the one who initiated the A-Z claim was lying and never made a justified arbitration?

On Jan 10th I was promised a $20 promotional credit due to a simply awful experience with an Amazon seller. On Jan 15th I attempted to use the credit and found only a $10 credit. I went to online customer service "help" and followed the path. I was given the option to chat or call. Thought chat would be simpler (wrong)... 12:09: I connected to CHAT. By 12:29:44 PM, I had been through three chat agents (they kept transferring me) and finally was promised resolution. At 1:40 I found that the credit was not applied.
Went through chat again where it was verified that "Genesis: As I've checked here that the previous representative didn't issue you a credit of $10.00. 1:36:02 PM." At 1:46 I checked my account and the credit has been applied. Thank goodness that this chat only took a few minutes. But, in summary, the customer service chat sessions are long, drawn-out, and ineffective. The email option is good (although, by design, not an instant resolution) and everything is on permanent record in the Amazon account.

We chose to use our checking account over credit or debit as the means of payment and discovered every other order placed is declined by Amazon because of a glitch in their system. I've had to call, cancel the order, reorder, and wait extra days for my items though I'm a Prime customer (2 days free shipping not 4+) because of this glitch. Amazon is aware of it since Christmas according to customer representatives who can do nothing to help or fix the problem. The reps think they are helping by telling you the various other ways to pay and the conversation is always the same with me interrupting and saying I am aware of the other ways but am not wanting to use them. We chose "checking" as our means of payment.
The other night when I called I asked to speak to a supervisor and was given to "Earl" after an unbelievable wait of 10 minutes. If Earl was a supervisor I'm a genius! AMAZON, you are being fooled by your own employees! If Amazon offers checking why is it not working properly after being aware of this problem for this long? Very inconvenient! We will decide soon to drop Amazon. Life will go on. Don't offer what you can't deliver!

What can I say. Amazon is the place to purchase all your products. No doubt about that. There's many reasons for that. First of all the prices are unbeatable at Amazon. If they are so be it, but Amazon provides a lot of customer service for a product even 3rd party sellers have. How much better can it get, well it does. Lets not forget the benefits for being a prime member. There a lot of movies, music, t.v show and they offer it for free, and it doesn't end there but they also provide 2-day shipping, and also guarantees your item. That's an awesome deal for $99 a year.
By the way Amazon is doing an awesome job on fixing other 3rd party sellers mistakes and that will always be appreciated by me and Im sure by other loyal customers too. Even though I have arguments with Amazon everything at the end comes out resolved, and for that I will always be an Amazon Prime member and customer.

The first rep put me on hold for 5 mins then another 2 mins to check on the tracking and told me it was delivered. I knew that already. I wanted to know WHY. She dodged the question and PROMISED to extend my Prime by another month. I asked "when's the new renewal date?" Said, replied "March 1", which my original date is April 1. Another min later she said it will be May 1 and she PROMISED to email me the notification. 2 hrs later no change to my account.
Hit up Amazon chat again. This time another rep put me on hold for 10 mins right off the bat. Then I told her what happened and she said because my account is a trial prime and can not be extended; she would offer a $5 credit to the account as compensation. I inquired their "concerned department" because she said she will escalate this issue, then she put me on hold multiple times and then hastily ended the conversation and PROMISED to issue a $5 credit to my account, which I will not be able to see. The second rep said "we never brushed off our customers" but she did exactly that. Even if it means to throw her co-rep under the bus. I was going to apply for their credit card, but given their level of customer service, I will not apply for their credit card nor will I renew my prime membership.

Chose the wrong one a couple of times but now you go in, put in the prime or prime free one day filter and the item shows as prime but when you go to check out, IT ISN'T. You can chose one day but you have to pay $5.99 (example), or free two day - I ordered item on Wednesday, order said I will receive on Saturday - how does that add up to two days?
I feel that Amazon is misleading with the items also - says if you order within the next "1 hour" (example) you'll get it the next day - YEAH IF YOU PAY FOR IT. I've cut down my orders on Amazon and have been checking out other online companies like Amazon. Amazon you're losing a good customer because of your shipping policies - with a Prime membership no less. Thanks.

I have had Prime for a couple of years. Every item I have ordered that was Prime eligible for 2-day shipping, it was delivered in two days. Recently, however, when I have ordered some things that indicated if I ordered within a certain number of hours, the items would be delivered within two days, it was not true, and I was not aware until AFTER I placed the order and an e-mail was sent confirming the delivery date of the order. It was then I saw that the receive date was four days later. I called Amazon to find out why the website indicated I would receive it within two days, but it changed once I actually placed the order.
I was told that Prime 2-day free shipping means that the items will be received within 2 days after they ship, so if it takes a couple of days for the item to ship, it will not be received until 2 days after that. This had never happened before until this past Christmas, and now it has happened several times. They give you the option of choosing 1-day shipping to receive it sooner, but you have to pay for it. Since that was the only perk I used of the Amazon Prime membership, I will not be renewing since the info related to the items you want to purchase seems to change once the order is actually placed. And if I have to pay for 1-day shipping to get items in 2 days, the cost of the membership is not worth it. Very disappointing and aggravating...

This Christmas we ordered several things. Amazon tied up our money by a fee, which I forget the name of, with equal the cost of the items. I don't understand why a credit or debit card does not work anymore. They give you back your money after your item has been shipped. If I pay with a credit card. Doesn't that entitle you to the item already. It took us 2 weeks to get our money back. Just now I was looking for an item for my bike online. There was this big green click box that said try Amazon Prime for FREE. They charged my account anyway for the membership.
They will be sending me my money back in 3 or 4 days. It takes them one second to get my money but it takes me 4 days to get my refund. I could have gone to a store to get what I needed and paid immediately. I will never be using Amazon again. And the only Amazon I will ever capitalize again will be the one in South America. I was so stupid to try them again after the first screw up.

After complaining, I received a refund from Amazon. However, the seller then retaliated against me by putting my First and Last name in the response to my feedback. I have submitted requests to Amazon four times, each time waiting the requested 48 hours for them to "resolve the issue." This has NOT been resolved.
Upon calling Amazon, the representative told me they are having difficulty actually functionally deleting the breach off of my personal privacy and security that was made by this seller. I told them I would complain to ConsumerAffairs if it was not resolved in another 48 hours, so, here I am. I'm very concerned about their lack of interest in removing my actual name from the seller's response. First, I have been a LONG time loyal customer of Amazon... over 17 years... back when they only sold books. I'm accustomed to giving Amazon excellent ratings. However, in the past year the only orders I can count on getting filled in a reasonable time are the ones filled by the vendors themselves. The items that are identified as "sold by Amazon" or "fulfilled by Amazon" and are "guaranteed to be filled and shipped out in 2 days", now take unreasonable amounts of time to fill. I have contacted customer service several times in the past several days and had a conversation on FB with Amazon, and I must say... they are overly polite to the point of patronizing, full of over-the-top insincere apologies, and NOTHING gets resolved. They say I will get an e-mail with the answer, and I get a survey instead.
It's been almost a week and a half and 7 out of 9 items in my order are sitting waiting to be filled when most of the ads said they would ship out within 2 days. I will completely miss my work deadline. What the heck happened to you this past year, Amazon? You have been my favorite place to shop. Why are you not paying attention to this? I'm not the only one. I see this complaint all over the Internet. The stuff I order is mostly work related, so I need honesty in the ad about shipping. It's not good to say one thing in the ad, secure funds, and then not deliver what was promised; IE: confirmation emails stating indefinite time frames when the ad promised something else. I REALLY hope things get back on track and Amazon doesn't become one of those really bad online companies.

The biggest price advantage is the free shipping option, delivery is very prompt, and their refund policy puts it over the top for us. The only drawback to Amazon is when the item is offered by a third-party seller; then, the purchase can be questionable. For example, products designated as "Apple-certified" but not sold by Apple can be epic fails with inferior quality. Same with printer cartridges that are not sold by the manufacturer. After placing an order with Amazon part of my order was delayed. When I inquired about the problem I was not given an answer as to why my order was being delayed. I had to call three times before I was finally provided the answer which turned out to be that the reason the order wasn't shipped yet was because the company that was selling the product through Amazon was out of the item. When I placed the order it was stated on the item description that the product was in stock and was being fulfilled by Amazon.
After receiving this information the representative informed me that she had cancelled my order and that I would have to reorder from another company. The problem was that my money was tied up on hold and would not be available again on my debit card for up to eight days so I ended up being unable to use my money to purchase a replacement product from another company. This has happened more than once by Amazon when I have placed orders. I will no longer do business with Amazon. They have very poor customer service and misrepresent many of the products they sell.

Due to my health I do all my shopping online. Amazon's customer service is great. They have helped me when I have problems with a purchase. What I don't like is that the other vendors can have their own set of rules when you have to return, I don't return a lot but it can be a problem unless it's one Amazon itself can fix. I wish you didn't have to spend $49, it was better when it was $35 for free shipping, so I wait until I have enough merchandise to cover it, s and h can be as much or more than the product at times. I don't like the add-on programs at times, some you can add to your $49 and that's fine, but some it has to be all add-on products, which is a pain. I understand there are a lot of different vendors, but the constant price changes can be so annoying, especially if you already purchased and later on you see it for less. When you can deal with Amazon directly and not the vendors it's great.

This is fully cheating with customer. Just because they have my card, they can not put me in any membership. This deserves a big lawsuit. This charge is an unauthorized charge. My lesson is to never be fooled by Amazon misrepresented selling of products and services. Why directly use Amazon.com? Google search the product instead or use Amazon to search for the purchaser. I was scammed twice by third party sellers. Each case was different. Amazon had a part in each but will not stand behind their sellers. I trusted that amazon would hold their sellers up to the same standards that they themselves try to adhere to, but no. There must be a way that they could figure out who scammed me the second time but they are playing dumb. The first scam was that I never received an item but didn't realize it until months later because I am living at my mother's as her caregiver. They said that months had gone by so they could not make the seller prove that they sent the item.
I contacted the seller and they could not give me a delivery date, only a UPS tracking number and when I called UPS they said they had never received this package. Amazon would not do anything but to sell me another item at the same price. I bought it for it was a set of storage containers that I would eventually need. After all the purchases that I have made with their company, they still back their scamming sellers. It makes no sense to me since they could not revise proof of delivery. I had a few negative experiences with products I purchased from Amazon this Christmas. One was so bad that it motivated me to write a review. I had purchased a product unknowingly from a 3rd party seller located in China. I don't have a problem with that except I should know that before I buy something. It was going to cost me $38 (least expensive option) to return a $24 item. I complained to the seller first, who was just concerned about the money they were losing, and got nowhere. I then complained to Amazon, who couldn't help me since it was a 3rd party purchase. When I threatened to cancel my prime membership, they bent over backwards and really came through by giving me a refund of the $38.
However, I posted a negative review about the item and my experience, and Amazon refused to post it! It was just the facts, no vulgarity. Their rules say the review has to be about the product... so I was forced to remove my comment about the poor service... They still didn't post it & have threatened to not allow me to post future comments. Really, Amazon? People deserve to know they are purchasing a product that they won't be able to return because it is from China and returning isn't cost-effective. I was an Amazon fan - I still am since they took care of me eventually, but now I know I cannot depend on the reviews & will think twice before spending my money there from now on.

I called them and spent 2 hours on the phone only to be told they do not see what I'm talking about. I placed an order this week and at the end of the order I changed the shipping name not address and my rewards points disappeared. I called them immediately and no one could assist me. They kept telling me, I wasn't going to be charged for shipping which had nothing to do with my rewards points.
I called back three days later only to be told there is nothing they can do to get my rewards points back. Yet, I have an email that shows what my card should be charged including the rewards points. But at that time I was in high school, and could not afford it (no job). But now I have a full time job, and I'm a college student. I was running low on time to purchase my rental books for college and I was freaking out. So, in August 2016, I checked Amazon and they had them. They were even offering free two day shipping to students. But I was like, hey, if I'm gonna spend this much, might as well get Prime. So Prime is 50% off for students (YESSS). I had no problem returning my books at the end of the semester. I just put a prepaid label and sent those babies back.
In the 3 years I have been shopping with them, I've never received anything I was dissatisfied with, or have had anything arrive too late. I've purchased some pretty cheap things from them, and you get what you pay for, just like any other retailer. I'm tired of people complaining about a $20 item that doesn't look the right color. Anyway, Prime could use some newer movies, (they offer a ton of free ones, but they're very old and have been on Netflix and Hulu since the beginning of time) and should have some more promotions go on (such as 1 free movie of your choice every 6 months) that would keep the cinematic-fanatic-me calm.

I call again to try to get into my buyer account. The guy I talked with sets up a new account which is not what I wanted. He tells me that someone will email me and that he would do a follow up call to check up on me. I never got an email nor did the customer service representative call me back! About 20 days pass by and I get a bill for $39.99 for an Amazon seller account that I was never allowed to use!!! I call again and I am switched from one rep to another. I was told that since my account is still frozen that she can't help me! So she sends someone an email so they can contact me to help me get my money back. So I noted the tracking number they had to try and do a trace only to find out that the tracking # they had didn't even exist! So I followed the links to contact the seller but lo and behold you can't call them, only forward an email to them which I did.

So I explain the whole thing and the customer service lady offers to send the seller an email, after I just told her that I had already done all that! I argued with her (not angrily) but she insisted that Amazon policy is that they will not call a seller no matter what, because they want a record of any contact between them.
Then, she offers to send an email again. At this point I am beyond aggravated and ask if there is someone else I can talk to and she replies "no there is no one who can help you, I am sorry for the inconvenience, is there anything else I can help with." So in the end, it was just basically "you're on your own, our policy is to not help and we don't care to have your business." You know what? That's ok. Any seller specializing in disk drives knows the difference, so I'm guessing this was an attempt to get rid of the cheaper drives and hope the buyers didn't know what they were buying. I requested a return and received a pdf 'label' with just their address to return to. Not a paid shipping label. So I contacted the seller to provide a paid shipping label as this was their mistake. They sent a first class USPS label with tracking. Packed up drive and returned.
A week later the tracking showed it had got out for delivery but had been then marked as "No further updates" which I've never seen with USPS tracking before. Amazon are now claiming I am not entitled to a refund since I should have used a signed for tracking service to return the item - this is not something they tell you in the instructions when you are requesting a return. Their A-Z buyer guarantee means nothing if you buy from a third party. So I have effectively been ripped off by the seller and Amazon wash their hands of any responsibility. I am a frequent purchaser of Amazon and have always had wonderful experiences. I am writing this review today because I am 100% unhappy and dissatisfied with the service starting beginning of November. My first complaint is about an order I placed that was supposed to be delivered on Nov. 7th 2016. I was unaware that a signature was required for said package and a delivery attempt was made, it was checked on my note that another attempt will be made. I contacted the seller to see when this might be since I am employed full time. I want to make sure someone is home. No response. I waited two weeks with no luck. I finally tracked my package to the United states postal office. I went up there to pick up my package and was notified it was sent back to the seller for not being claimed.
The seller contacted me informing that the package was being returned, but they can't respond to my original email. I emailed them back for a refund, no response. I contacted Amazon to expedite the process of a refund for an item I never received, they advised me that I had to wait two more business days for the seller to reply. Waited a week, finally called Amazon back and said I am not waiting any longer, I was hoping to get my refund before Christmas which now is not happening. Takes 24 hrs for them to investigate and another possibly two weeks to process. I am not happy about this. I feel like someone needs to make this process go a little faster since I have already waited an extended amount of time.
My second complaint is that I signed up for a 30 day free trial through Xbox for Amazon Prime, they charged me the $50 the next day, I didn't realize it until a few days later, when I called customer service to see what was going on. The guy literally couldn't explain to me what was going on but that he will refund and cancel the membership and if I wanted another free trial I would have to re-subscribe. I advised him I don't want it, cancelled. I want the rest of free trial period with the refund because I will cancel it on the 29th day. He was not clear. I finally asked to speak to someone else and figured out that over a year ago I had a free student prime trial for 10 days so when I signed up for the 30 day free trial it automatically charged my account.
I feel I should be able to get the rest of that free trial since clearly I was not eligible for a free trial and was offered it anyways. I don't see how that is my fault, also over one year? That's weird. I couldn't get a free trial anyways because of how much time had lapsed and that it was student prime, I'm sure I used it for one of my school books but either way they need to keep their systems updated with these kinds of things. They need better employees who speak fluent English to properly explain these things and they need to not beat around the bush when it comes to refunding a product never received. It is going on 7 weeks since the original delivery attempt and my issue is still unresolved. Very unhappy customer.

Amazon will not tell you where the item you are purchasing ships from. You have to contact the seller and wait for a response and hope they are telling the truth. Several times I have ordered an item and waited over one month, no joke. Once 6 weeks for a $5 item that I could have got at my local Walmart.

I've been an Amazon shopper for several years and a Prime member for some time, also. Every experience has been good. I love the fast shipment, easy returns the very few times that has been necessary. Amazon has a great selection of items and I love the reviews.

Ordered bed mid November. Should of received by 1/12/16. Amazon emailed saying delay. It will be 10th to 15th then emailed again saying 15th to 20th. My husband spoke to someone who said they were definitely coming in and not to worry we will get it before Christmas. Got a 2nd hand bed off eBay at an extra cost just in case it didn't turn up. Today 21/12/16 got an email saying they were cancelling our order as no more in stock. Very poor customer service. Don't practice what they preach. Any other supplier would be taken to task by amazon but they can do what they like. Would not buy straight from them again.

I originally purchased this from Amazon on cyber Monday and never received item. They refunded my order without my consent. Purchased it again on Amazon the next day for a lot more money and I complained about it upon deaf ears. I just received half of the item and the top of it is gouged, also where is the rest of the unit? Needless to say I am very disappointed.

I will never shop with Amazon again. I've been using them for years and never had a problem until recently. I purchased an item from one of their marketplace sellers and I tried to cancel, but never received a response from the seller. Next thing I know, I get an email saying that my item has been shipped with a fake tracking number. I called Amazon to ask why I'm still receiving the order and they said the seller told them that the item already left their warehouse. So I asked for a refund which the seller approved but I would have to pay to ship it back, along with a 20% restocking fee.
I called them back because I want a full refund. I tried to cancel before the item was ship and the shipping number the seller provided was fake. Now Amazon has denied my claim, saying the seller shipped the right item and it's out of their hands. I just have to ship it back and pay them about $50 for an item I tried to cancel. They claim they side with their customers but that is a lie. The sellers are liars that drop-ship items and has gotten a lot of bad reviews over the past few days. All I want is a full refund and I can't even get that.

My wife and I made a purchase for a gift for our son, just a phone case. We received a message saying item shipped. Then we get another message saying item cannot be completed as it's out of stock. We were given the choice of waiting for stock to replenish, or cancelling the order to try and get it elsewhere. We decided to wait but when we tried to click that option find that the order was cancelled already by the seller, Urbaninspirations. We tried to contact them and Amazon to say we wanted the order still but no response. Then while looking for the same item to re-buy, find the same company selling it but for triple the price!!!
The other day I get an email from Amazon to rate my experience with that transaction. I go thru the time and effort to explain my dissatisfaction in hopes of letting people know about this and post my review. Now I am being told by Amazon that they can't post my review as it doesn't meet their guidelines. I went on-site and checked their rules and as there was no profanity, I am to assume it's because it wasn't about a product. How can I rate the product when I never received it. I need people to know that this company is only interested in making money, not customer satisfaction. I have responded again to Amazon customer service about this issue. But no reply as yet. As a side note, when we ordered the item it was listed as in stock and ready to ship.

Ordered three Christmas present for my three kids. Printed out the confirmation. Expecting new year’s eve. Money taken out of bank account. Checked this morning and the order was cancelled. Pricing error. Chatted and was told that there is nothing Amazon can do. They would give us a 5 credit. What an insult. In business for 41 years. False advertising, false pricing, corruption at its best. The might Amazon is not a deal. Support your local business. What do I tell my kids?

Hi I tried Amazon Prime, and they kept sending damage things. I showed them photos of the items. I told them I can't get to post office, so they sent someone, and picked them up, 2 times these WWE toys were damaged. They gave some Amazon credit and refused to do a third return. I never seen such incompetence in my life. They told me they do not guarantee items boxes mint. They also sent products in too small of a box, if it's damage why send it at all, and then shove it in that box? They send items that look open or are torn and ripped and smashed! Amazon is suppose to be the best but they do not train their warehouse workers. I had to end up keeping the replacements and they will not compensate me or further talk to me! It's sad that they keep doing this as if I'm lying. Here are the photos! Not normal shelf wear, my Prime was for a free month, then they had nerve to ask if I want to renew it. I said, "No why should I pay if you send items damaged!"

I had ordered the one plus 3 t 64 gb variant on 14 Dec order id ** also entering the contest for 100% cashback. After 3 days vendor canceled my order without my knowledge and now I have to wait for the refund to show in my account and also cannot take part in the contest I had entered. It is sad that Amazon service has gone down like this and the vendor is not answerable for such actions. Looks like either the vendor or Amazon cheated in this instance.

I signed up for Amazon prime month and a half ago. I was under the impression that I would be able to pay a monthly amount kind of like Netflix. That's not their problem now. I should have read before I authorize them to charge my card at the end of the free month but in the middle of that month I ended up losing my card and having to get a new one re-issued from the bank. This card had a different expiration date so they were unable to charge it and when I did it came back declined at the end of the free month.
I've been called about a week later to update my credit card on my account because I wanted to order some stuff and I wanted the prime membership. I was informed that the prime membership cost $99 and I asked "can I please have the monthly membership not the pay the year upfront one?" The lady that spoke very broken English said she can do that and told me that I have to give my credit card number to a recording and then she will get me set up with the monthly membership.
After giving my credit card info she then told me that she is unable to give me the monthly membership that I would have to do that myself and she and then order for that to happen she would have to cancel my membership so she canceled my membership and then sent me an email with directions on how to set up a monthly payment for prime account. Call her to canceling my membership. She charge me the $99 anyway and then cancel my membership.
When I call Amazon to try to get my money returned and tell me that the bank has to release the funds and that it takes a few days. Well it's been a over a week now. I have no pending charges. I called my bank and they told me that they sent a refund but charged you seconds after sending the refund and I'm able to see this on my account.
Here comes the kicker. When I called and spoke to the people who take care of these matters an extremely rude women got on the phone with me and repeated to me over and over "you have to speak to the higher ups in your bank." These were her exact words. Can you believe this? When I told her I did and they told me that Amazon charged me for a 2nd time after refunding the money and that the 99 dollars is not being held by them in any way, shape, or form that it was taken out of my account within seconds of being refunded.
Now here is the 2nd kicker. In any way, shape or form did I authorize any charges on that card when I gave my card number to the lady that couldn't speak English really at all. I told her 3 times (this can be proven all my phone calls are recorded and saved for up to 30days) "do not charge this card the 99$. I want to do the monthly membership." I also told her 3 times that "I am not authorizing you charge this card that 99$ now." When I signed up for the 30 days free I did authorize them to charge me on the card that I used to sign up with that. Because that card was inactive it declined therefore any other cards that I would want to add on the account after did not have my authorization. So almost 2 weeks and never got my money back. I have been stolen from and taken advantage and I have proof. If any one needs that I'll happy to share that.

Amazon use to have fantastic customer service. In the last few months, they have gone downhill rapidly. I have received the wrong item and they told me to pay to ship it back and they would replace it. I have had items IN STOCK take over a week to arrive when as a prime member it should be 2 days shipping and when I call customer service they don't care. They use to at least offer compensation or an extra month on your prime membership. From my experience over the last few months, I think I will be going elsewhere and I will keep my money instead of going prime.

Do not expect your holiday shipments on time. Amazon is providing FALSE INFORMATION on their website in numerous pages (including help section, and front main website page) regarding holiday shipping cutoff times. They are reporting Dec 16 for free shipping and Dec 19 for standard shipping as cutoff times to ENSURE delivery by December 24th. However this is FALSE!! You will select free shipping today, get an e-mail saying to expect delivery between 22nd and 28th which is their usual year round free shipping quota of 5-8 business days. Spent two hours on phone with 3 different supervisors who claim will absolutely 100% NOT ship until 22nd and will arrive 22nd - 28th and they all quoted the 28th. They INSIST that they are quote "not doing anything wrong and will not offer any assistance because the information they provided is correct".
IT IS NOT CORRECT. Typical year round free shipping is 5-8 business days but their holiday quoted order cutoff times are wrong, misleading and very false information. They have no recourse for keeping repeat customers either. They refused to upgrade shipping free of charge and they refused to contact fulfillment center to get item shipped out sooner even if by slower method. Never in all my life heard of such a ridiculous customer service strategy. Verbatim answers of "We did nothing wrong" and "The information is actually accurate" and "We have written policies on shipping methods and we cannot adjust them". A manager that can't change a shipping method or offer any sort of solution??? Interesting. Everyone needs to report them to the FTC because they are guilty of false advertising which is a huge offense according to FTC laws. They are marketing incorrect information.
