For a limited time, Spotify is offering all of its U.S. subscribers a free Google Home Mini smart speaker.
Both new and existing Spotify Premium subscribers are eligible to receive one of the smart speakers; however, Premium Student accounts aren’t eligible for the freebie. The promotion will run while supplies last through November 15, 2019.
“So what’s the catch? There is no catch,” the music streaming giant said in a press release.
Spotify added that it’s “looking forward to rolling out new features with Google that make it even easier to discover and listen to Spotify via Google Home Mini and other Assistant-powered devices.”
How to claim your Google Home Mini
To sign up to receive one of the smart speakers:
Go to Spotify’s website and select the type of subscription you currently have (either “Get Individual” or “Get Family”).
After logging in and agreeing to Spotify’s terms of service, Spotify will send an email containing a link to get a Google Home Mini at no cost.
A subsequent email will include a link to Google’s online store, where you can choose a color and claim your new Google Home Mini.
Spotify ran a similar promotion last year when it gave out Google Home Minis to Premium Family plan account owners. Subscribers who already got one of the smart speakers through last year’s promotion won’t be eligible to receive another one through this promotion, Business Insider notes.
“We were delighted by the response of our first Google Home Mini offer last year, which is why we’re excited to extend our partnership with Google and expand the offer to now include both Family and Individual Premium plans,” said Marc Hazan, Spotify’s Vice President of Premium Partnerships.
