They did a good job! I thought they were pretty smooth. Waiting to see how it's delivered but the pick up was good.

I would not recommend Safe Ship. First of all everyone should be aware that this company is a broker, so they farm the job out to another company. When we contacted them for our move and were given a quote, the person we spoke to was high pressure and tried to get us to put a down payment in right away to lock them in. We were just trying to call around for pricing. When we told them the figure they gave was too high, they said they would work to get it lower. We ultimately went with Safe Ship thinking the price was now lower and we could make it work. We signed the contract and paid a deposit so now we were locked in.

Jarvis in customer service was great about checking on my move experience. Alec was also great coordinating my move.

The movers did a fantastic job packing my stuff and putting it in storage. They are professional and dealt with a setback with a lean forward attitude. Great job!!

Interstate move between Michigan and California brokered by Safeship, has been a nightmare. As a broker, they deny any responsibility for the 3rd parties actions though the final delivery was handled by a truck clearly labeled Safeship Moving and Storage. With claims exceeding $42,000 in damages and losses including a lost purse at the site of pickup (police report) never recovered including life challenging medications, id, and credit cards and a digital auto key (which if you ever replace and reprogram will set you back over $500).

The service provided was seamless between Safeship and the delivery company. Communication was clear, timely and consistent. Knowing Safeship is a veteran owned company, was a plus. The delivery company they used was exceptional Danny, the Foreman, communicated effectively, went beyond expectations in customer service. The gentlemen, Danny and Jonathon worked fast, efficiently and very courteously!!!!! Will use Safeship again. Thank you for making our move easier.

The person who gave me the initial quote was super rude, only cared about getting my signature, and left out a few things from the inventory. The quote was a terrible experience; it doubled in price when they reviewed it before pickup, just for a few items that were left out initially. I wouldn't recommend this company; they didn't follow up, it's all about making a profit.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Multiple items damaged: dropped my dryer and shattered the glass, completely destroyed my bedroom set, transport truck had a leak/per movers could see the sky through the truck roof and my mattress was destroyed, Missing boxes, got other people's belongings, destroyed my Christmas tree, shall I list more because there is more....a lot more. Called the broker, zero response to date. Stolen valor...no veteran I know would behave this way. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

When the carrier arrived and found there was a little more cubic feet than expected, Safe Ship did not allow them to increase the price and maintained our original negotiated number. This ended up saving me about 600 which was huge as a student.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They had me fill out a perfect survey after they loaded my belongings into their truck and would not leave until I did. That should have been the sign right there. They are full of excuses as to why it took so much longer to get my belongings to me. I ended up having to move back because the moving company they hired never got my stuff out of the state after 20 something days. Then I still had to pay for the full 1200 mile move and tips to the drivers and the drives to and from several times, the lack of work because all of my business attire was with them, gas prices where they are, horrible experience. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! When you allow them to try and make it right, they put you through the wringer of things to do and provide you emails to send to the BBB and then aren't happy with the way it was resolved. Total loss on my part.

All the reviews on Reddit are true. They have to pay to boost this. Our quote was $11k - saw videos, etc. 2 days before they changed it to $19k and when we got here they added a fee for the trash for another $1k. AWFUL for nearly 20k. Go direct, don’t use this company.

From the first call, to the date of furniture pick up, everyone I’ve dealt with at Safe Ship has been amazing. Thanks to SafeShip and their team we were able to make that happen, with the added bonus of it being cheaper and less stress than us going out and doing it ourselves, plus saving us the monthly bill for the unit. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Stay away from this company! They rely on hidden fees and high-pressure tactics. To secure our move, they demanded an upfront deposit of over $1,000, but when it came time to finalize the schedule, they couldn't honor the pickup or delivery dates they originally promised. When we tried to lock in a specific date, they attempted to tack on an additional $1,500 in "expedited" fees. Furthermore, they refuse to send an estimator to review your inventory in person, which is a setup for even more "overage" charges on moving day. Since then, reputable movers have informed us that demanding a large deposit before pickup is a major red flag. In the end, we lost over $1,300. Save your money and your sanity—run from this company.

I recently worked with Edson, who was incredible. He didn’t take “no” for an answer from Rigo’s Delivery Moving and Storage and obtained a (partial) reimbursement with an avenue for us to be made whole. I’m satisfied that with quality people like Edson working for them, SafeShip is well on their way of restoring my faith in their company. Thank you.

Safe Ship Moving Services was accessible and helpful. All personnel I dealt with were personable and knowledgeable. I recommend them.

I spent ½ hour on the phone with Mr. nice guy. My quote started out at $27,000. Then it went down to $25,000. Then I complained about they wanted me to empty all drawers and they would pack them. I did not want someone going through my dressers! Then he said I could pack my clothes myself and buy my own boxes and the price went down to $16,000. I told him I wanted to get a quote from a local company, he said that's fine, they would match their price. But I couldn't get the local company to come to my house till Monday. Then I get a text from Ship Safe saying I had to respond immediately to the $16,000 or the price goes back to $27,000. Don't use them. I think they are scammers. Find your own company.

They were able to move my two story apartment within a two day notice, and start and finish it in one afternoon. Extremely efficient and professional.

Safe Ship was easy to deal with. The movers showed up at the scheduled time and were professional. Also, there was good follow-up post-move, Isaac made sure I was satisfied with the process.

Safe Ship movers prides itself on being a veteran family own business. However, they contracted with a horrible company called Cobra Van Lines, which shows over the past several years over 130 complaints on Yelp. I too, had a horrific experience with Cobra Van Lines as a result of Safe Ship brokering. It’s evident that Safe Ship movers does not check any reviews or references for their moving contractors. They really don’t give a crap about customers moving experience…stay away from safe ship. They are just a bunch of smooth, slick talking, used car/timeshare type sales people. They’re truly **.

Safe Ship was awesome in organizing my move. The movers were professional and very organized. I've used three different moving companies to move across the country in three years. They were the most efficient. I didn't feel good about out my price increasing after a more detailed inventory than the first over the phone. I would have preferred someone coming to my home or video taping to avoid surprises. But it is what it is. I'll await receipt of my goods and will write a more total review at the end of the move.

It was cheaper than I thought and quick and efficient. I didn't have a lot to move and I was happy with the cost considering how big the move is.

I hope this review saves others the heartache we have experienced. The two men that came to pack and load the truck assured us that the items would be taken care of, but they only pack and load us. Someone else packs the next and the next and then someone else drives. So there were 4 different people belongings in one truck. The items didn’t arrive as it was loaded. Two chairs were broken and two totes were left somewhere. They demand money up front before they remove anything from the truck. Then they are in a big hurry to get to the next home, they wouldn’t try to find the two missing totes.

Stay away. They're not a moving company rather a broker who will use whoever they can arrange. They talk fast and their goal is to get 50% deposit on the first day. And they're more expensive than your typical traditional name-brand movers.

Safe Ship Moving Services did a great job explaining exactly what I should expect and walked me through the steps that were to come, picked Velocity movers and couldn’t have been happier, they did an outstanding job packing all my belongings very well.

Scammed. We got a quote, paid the deposit and a few days before meeting them to pick up our stuff, they called and said we NEEDED to pay an extra 2.5K as a “just in case” more space was needed. If that space wasn’t used, then we would get our money back. We paid it, and once the truck was loaded, there was no way the space we paid for was used. Once they gave us the forms to sign, they stated that the sq footage that was used was EXACTLY the amount they had us pay the just in case fee for. Complete scam, do not use them!

Being elderly, we were quite anxious about our cross-country move. Between them, Safe Ship and BLVD Movers made the process much less stressful than we feared. The truck arrived at our miles-from-anywhere location on schedule; and Wilfrido, Andres, and Sergio were so careful packing up our delicate pieces (and other things too) that any remaining anxiety was put to rest. I would definitely recommend this crew from these companies if you need careful, carefree moving!

I am extremely disappointed with this company. When I made the reservation I was told I would get a full refund if I needed to cancel for any reason. The sale of my home fell through and they refused to refund me so between the movers and the car transport I am out $1500. When you live on social security that’s a lot. From what I understand most moving companies are the same, a scam. If you can manage with a U-Haul do it. Save money and stress.

If I could give 0 starts, I would. When I called back to get the price match with a price half of what I was quoted by them, the guy laughed at me. He said there was no way that anyone would come in that low for what I said I had. I tried to cancel multiple times, but they just sent me in circles on the phone. Then when they called a few days before to do the QA check, the supposedly 'binding estimate' went up an additional $2000 because they hadn't taken into account of some of my bookshelves even though I told them exactly how many I had.

Be very careful with these moving services! You book the movers with this booking service and Mr. Nice Guy gives you a major sales pitch. He claims the company is very concerned with customer satisfaction and they aren't like other companies who quote one price and double or triple it when moving day comes. You tell him all the things you're going to move and he gives you a quote that seems very reasonable. It sounds really great until quality assurance calls and you tell them the exact same things that are moving and she returns to the call to say that the price had tripled but she was saving you a lot by only have the price double.

I give Safe Ship (and the carrier) an A++++. Punctual, professional, courteous. Safe Ship kept in touch to make sure I was satisfied. Isaac ** did a great job at following up with me. The carrier (Plymouth Van Lines) handled my items carefully, The move went as sooth as smooth can be. I have moved many times over the years and therefore have experience with hiring moving companies. My rating of Safe Ship (and Plymouth Van Lines) is a review from someone who has been through moves quite a few times. Again ... A++++. I highly recommend them.

Didn't get as far as a quote. He put me on hold to say over to his headset. 2-3 minutes later, he came back on and said he needed to place me on hold again to switch over to his headset?? After mentioning how bad I am at estimating, I was assured that he was good at it. Then proceeded to ask me the size of everything item I mentioned. He never suggested we could do a video walkthrough until after I hung up in frustration. Then he had the audacity to text me that information as if that would make me happy. Maybe you should have lead with that.

Stop!! This company does not care about you and should be ashamed to state they are veteran owed! The websites that I viewed from Safe Ship did not state they were a broker. I paid for a complete moving service, which was the same building only up 2 floors (elevator YES!). The price was very high but I thought that is what it would cost for them to do all the packing. They brokered my job to another company whose workers just dumped all my belongings in wardrobe boxes, not one piece of clothing was on a hanger. I didn’t know this until after they left and began to look in the boxes. I pleaded with Safe Ship to give me back some of the monies I paid them for a became a bad referral. They absolutely refused to accept any responsibility. They cheated an elderly woman and her sick daughter who she cares for!!!

This has been a horrific experience with this company. They refuse to tell me where my shipment is and when it’s to be delivered. They gave me a delivery window of 1 to 10 days for a trip that takes no more than 10 hours. Overpriced and horrible service. They don’t provide a tracking number so I have no idea where my items are. So sorry I hired these people. Stay away!

The company did an excellent job and everyone that I have talked to from the company has has been very helpful and such a kind group of people that really want everything to go great for you and they call me to make sure everything went well. I highly recommend this moving company and really everyone plus the movers have been fabulous.

I had an emergency need to move out of my house and across the country very quickly. Safe Ship was able to rapidly and affordably help me move. I wouldn’t use any other mover.

My movers were thorough and careful with all my possessions and packing them. They went above and beyond the ensure my possessions were cared for, and it was stress free on my part.

Extremely deceptive business practices. Initial quote was low-balled and not accurate. Final quote through Video call able to see all items packed, will change quote if differs at all from the initial quote. All normal so far, right? Well, items added, 95% all boxes, added approx. 1/4 extra cubic feet, easy to measure as all stacked boxes & totes, tried to DOUBLE rate. This included another 3200 for their fee. Attempting 6400 in fees on a 14 K move, that was 8K. Went with a major carrier, no games or bs. You don't need to be ripped off by these scammer brokers.

Using Safe Ship Moving Service was a very big mistake! When I initially contacted them, they were extremely nice and helpful. I do have to say, they have some very good salesman! When going over the details of my move, a move of less than 50 miles, they asked about the items to be moved. The move was the contents of a shop consisting of tools acquired over many years. I told them that there was tools for just about everything. There was mechanics tools, woodworking tools, machinist tools, plumbing tools, etc.

What a great experience we had with Safe ship! The process was easy and everything was upfront. When we had questions they were answered within a half hour of emailing customer service. The movers that come to my home we very kind and courteous. They went over everything with us and took the time to wrap all of our furniture very well. I am very satisfied with the entire process.

The auto mover left me hanging for days. It was more than a month already and my car wasn't ship at all.

I would not recommend this company and encourage others to carefully review all terms before booking. Initially, communication with the salesperson made it seem like the process would be smooth and straightforward. However, I quickly learned that all coordination had to go through customer service, and the assurances provided during the sales process did not reflect the reality of the experience.

I cannot express how happy I was/am with our move experience. Someone was in constant contact with me regarding pick up, and then follow ups after the movers picked up our stuff. There were NO hidden fees and the price was literally just what they quoted. The movers were in contact the day of our move with updates on arrival times, packed out things with care and efficiency. Would absolutely recommend this company, and will use them again for any other moves we have!!

We would highly recommend Safe Ship Moving. The foreman explained everything in detail of the whole process. The Crew did an excellent job wrapping our furniture with the utmost care and loaded it onto the truck carefully. After loading the furniture they cleaned up any mess they made. It put ourselves at ease with the care they took with our furniture.

Seamless from my initial inquiry call to making adjustments, pick up in NY to drop off in MD. Small move - able to use extended van. Safe Ship sent me updates and called with any clarification questions. Price was very reasonable. Pick up was scheduled for Monday or Tuesday, and when I was anxious about the specific pick up time, I called them on Sunday and received an immediate response.

Any move can be stressful but when I contacted safe ship moving, they helped put my mind at ease, especially when they offered 30 day free storage, which was a big factor to me when booking with them. Once I contacted safe ship moving, they contacted me right away and confirmed my pick up and delivery dates. When they arrived on time, I met with the foreman and he detailed all the items that they were moving, but also ensure there wouldn’t be any damage by packing them and loading everything in the truck with care which I appreciate.

Pretty sad. Really stressed out trying to move. Got told they were one of the best ones. I didn’t even get a chance to explain the size of my house. As soon as the guy heard three bedrooms he automatically said $10,000 $15,000. And then told me I was pretty much lying when other companies came in cheaper than them. Really bad attitude on the phone.

I’m Col Gary Russ (Ret.) and I have recently retired from Government Service. After 22 moves in my military career, our last move was from Champaign IL to Wellington FL August 2025. This was the WORST move in my whole career. I contracted (DI6885961) with Safe Ship Moving Services (SafeShip). They provided a $12k estimate based on a zoom walkthrough of my house. They also included a $1500 reduction. Just before the pickup we provided them with the final estimate of boxes after which the cost went up to $21k three days before pickup. There were serious communication challenges between SafeShip and the delivery company complicating communications with us for the delivery date.

Do NOT be fooled.. what started with decent and helpful service during the quote process quickly turned into a terrifying ordeal. It was a stressful and financially draining nightmare marked by significant unexpected price increases, hidden packaging fees, unlicensed movers, rudeness, and threats. One week into being pressured to sign a contract, they stopped responding and retuning calls. When I called to cancel, the “supervisor” laughed at me and told me “that’s too bad. The 72 hours window has passed”. They were initially accommodating when providing the quote, once the contract was signed, their attitude and level of service went completely out the window. They lure you in with deceptive pricing, and pressure you into signing ASAP to lock a price in. Save yourself horrific experience and STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY.

My pick up was it exactly as their name states. Safe. They were Timely and very professional. They arrived on the day that was originally planned. It was with a 3rd party but that did not have any effect on the experience. I was apprehensive with shipping a piano that has been on my family for over 100 years, but they were very careful and I could have been more pleased.

SafeShip sold my move to a carrier with one-star reviews. I called before the move to express my concerns with the carrier and was told it would be fine. My experience with the carrier was terrible. I am missing items and had broken items, and filed claims directly with the carrier, as instructed. Come to find out, my carrier is no longer operating (phone number out of service). SafeShip has been absolutely no help, besides telling me that I have the right to arbitration (at my own cost). Though you can not arbitrate with a company that does not exist anymore. I have spent an hour on the phone with SafeShip today and confirmed that they DO NOT care about customer service. They are not doing anything to make it right. They keep saying their job was to connect me to a carrier, and they did that. They do not care that the carrier they sold my move to was derelict. Do not recommend. You will pay a steep broker's fee for nothing.

I would have given 5 stars but the driver was late and didn’t call and I had to call twice. I’m originally was quoted 8-10 in the morning and then was told 5-7 in the evening but then the driver called and said between 7-8 pm but then 8:15 comes and finally shows up but besides that it went well.

Mannie and Orlando were exceedingly meticulous and careful with every single item and box. Superior work and efficiency. Both were very kind and friendly in every interaction with us. Great team!
