Pros: Friendly, veteran owned company with responsive customer service. Cons: Were not fully informed and misled in thinking that the price quoted was for final destination.
1. We asked for NYC destination and was not told that there would be another charge for a shuttle to take our goods from large truck as the city cannot accommodate such trucks. Everyone knows that NYC would be different. It was in the contract fine print that additional charge would be assessed but was not highlighted by signing agent. He pressed me to sign contract as quote would no longer be available after hang up phone so I did without reading fine prints.
2. Also told I can put items on hold any time during the move which proved incorrect as this decision has to be made prior to good being picked up, a little detail that contradicts what he told me. We signed up due to this 30 days hold capability because our final apt. was not confirmed as of the move but the application for the place was being processed. Turned out we did not get the apt. and needed our good stored. I called the day of the move to have it held and was told that they would accommodate eventhough the goods were just picked up. Turned out it was not true and goods were on their way across the country. In the end, we spent more money to have it moved to a storage facility.
3. Pricing: learned that Safe Ship is nothing but a broker for moving companies and take 50% of the price quoted. The actual movers only get 50% so if I knew, I would just try to find these independent movers myself. Not to say that it would be easy as these are sometime mom/pop organizations but I think next time I could find them myself and not rely on brokers like Safe Ship.

This is an amendment to an earlier review that I posted that has somehow become unreachable. SafeShipMoving set us up with “One of their best”, Citi Van Lines. Thus far this has been a nightmare since the day of pickup. It’s been 13 days since our House Hold Goods were picked up. We communicated with the company on the day our HHG were picked up and they told us it would take “3-5 days” for our items to arrive. This was not true, and after reaching out to the company directly they pushed the date back to a date 20 days after when they were picked up.
They eventually reached out to us and told us to expect our goods to arrive after “2-4 days”. This was also not accurate as our goods took almost 6 days to arrive. I say almost because our delivery occurred at 9:40PM on the 5th day. Not only was this an unreasonably late time but our delivery driver then posted our address on Craigslist asking people to show up at our home unannounced and help them unload our items. This was never communicated to us and we had to reach out to the driver after turning someone away at our doorstep for responding to the listing. If this is what SafeShipMoving considers “One of their best”, then I encourage anyone considering this company to steer well clear.

The drivers were very professional and quick. The pickup was flawless and without incident and I look forward to the delivery and can only hope it goes just as efficiently. I would definitely use them again but hope this is my last move. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs a mover.

No complaints with how they worked. Only issue was they left a lot of empty tape rolls and wrapping on the floor when they left. Packing seemed to go smooth. Total cost of the move was about $4000 more than originally quoted however. This created a hardship due to the total cost of moving.

Very rare I give 5 stars but they definitely deserve it. They were quick, efficient and very kind as well as generous. This is my first time actually using a moving company so as far as first impressions go it was a phenomenal one. Definitely recommend using Safe Ship if you ever plan on moving. ✨

The movers arrived late due to traffic which is understandable. They packed everything up for me pretty quickly and I was impressed with their professionalism. Before leaving they basically asked for a tip which is pretty annoying. Other than that I have no issue with the service. I was called several times after the pickup presumably to get my feedback. I gave feedback over the phone but apparently that is not enough and you want me to fill this review out and I even have a minimum word count I have to adhere to like I'm doing homework or something. So that's kind of annoying too. As far as the pickup experience itself goes, well it was good. They worked quickly and efficiently and acted professionally if you don't consider the tipping thing and showing up late. So happy with the service but it could have been better probably.

Andrei and his crew with Azimuth were absolutely amazing. Unlike other moving experiences, I had, they were careful and very meticulous with all of my belongings. They treated all of my items with care and respected my house. They had a very positive, can-do attitude and were flexible and delightful people. I would highly recommend them.

Good service and timing. Customer service has been helpful. Which I don’t like is that company increased the estimate when they called to check the inventory and then they did it again the day of the moving based on the type of the mattress not the size. The moving guys were respectful.

Everyone that we spoke to throughout the process was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our only bad experience happened when we were told that we needed to unload 3 tool boxes since they didn't lock. We estimated 13 boxes and that increased our estimate by $1000. When the shipper arrived he said that the tool boxes were small enough and didn't need to be unloaded so that amounted to wasted time and money. We had already been charged a flat bulk fee for each of them.

Just want to share my experience and learning. Despite Several calls with customer services team, I am writing to formally request the cancellation of my order (Job Number: DA *****66) and a full refund. I am appalled by the unprofessional conduct and pricing discrepancies I have experienced throughout this process. Initially, I was quoted $Z,ZZZ for the agreed number of items based on the pictures I provided to your sales team. However, I was later informed that the price had increased to $Y,YYY—an almost 84% hike—and subsequently reduced to $*,***. This still represents an outrageous 51% increase from the original quotation. To add insult to injury, I was left with three unacceptable options: Pay the inflated 51% higher price. Ship only 50% of the originally agreed-upon items. Lose my $2,300 refund entirely.
Let me be clear: I did not add any additional furniture or request any modifications to the items listed. the initial evaluation was based on the very same pictures I provided, and the original quotation should have been honored accordingly. This bait-and-switch approach is raising serious concerns about your company's standards of customer service.
I consider these practices to be a breach of trust and a violation of fair business code of conduct (to increase price by almost 84% just four/five days before the moving day). Forcing customers into unreasonable choices—either paying significantly more or forfeiting a substantial amount of money—is unacceptable. Customer service are not friendly at all, rather trying to find solution, offering good customer services, the most precious commodity we have is our credibility. By the way, I sent several e-mails over the last 48hrs trying to find solution, with no response at all, was ignored completely. I am a senior +60 old, I don't have the time/health to go through this experience and stress.

I was drawn to the concept of using a Veteran owned company as my wife and myself are both Veterans. Unfortunately when their carrier arrived I was charged a magical additional $3500. Customer support only made it worst by the rationalization of not giving the service requested and making excuses. I asked for a supervisor multiple times to be told I am speaking to one. I was offered to talk to another but the transfer never happens. Do not trust this company and please read others reviews or live with the regret like I have.

First Class Movers was a great experience with impeccable service. I was helped by Anthony, Daniel, and Kelvin. Our moving experience from Southern Ca to Northern Ca went perfectly as explained to us. Safe Ship took great care packing our household items. I was so nervous because our things had to be put in storage for a couple of weeks before they could be moved up North. when the time came they arrived when promised and unloaded all of our things. The guys were great and brought everything in our new house and put back together the items that had to be disassembled in order to transport. I will definitely refer them to anyone looking for a reliable moving company.

I just moved long distance for the first time since 1997 and using a moving broker for the first time. They delivered on their promise and the moving company hired was great. They were on time for the pickup and finished in 4 hours. Delivery was the same. I cannot complain about the service provided. I was disappointed that they left boxes and material they provided after unpacking our furniture. Just one more thing we have to deal with.
Our overall experience was good but I didn’t like the scheduling process. Our date was 12/10 but we wouldn’t know for sure until 12/9. We also paid for expedited delivery with the guarantee of 1 to 3 day delivery but no commitment to a specific date. The mover asked when I would like delivery. I asked for 12/12. He was fine with it but then came back and told me his boss said it had to be 12/11. That meant I had to drive overnight to Alabama from North Carolina after being up all day to meet them at the house. I guess this is how it is done due to trucking laws but I am a planner and prefer to have specific dates upfront.

The two gentleman that did our mover, very professional, and very thorough. Everything got to its destination in great shape. They took great time and attention to make sure all of our boxes were packed nice and neat, and that nothing got broken. It was a real pleasure to have them do our move for us. The movers were professional and very helpful. Planning the move was very smooth and communication was clear, especially concerning arrival time. The payment methods available were very convenient so I could pay online through Zelle, saving me a trip to the ATM to get cash when I was already pressed for time. Well organized and efficient with packing and delivery. Since I had 2 households to combine, there were a variety of service men. ALL of them were very considerate and treated personal things with extreme care!!! When I scheduled both moves, I didn’t realize that Safe Ship outsourced the actual movers. Also, I had expected follow up from Safe Ship before 4 months had passed.

Very good communication from everyone with several follow up calls. Customer service was friendly and helpful. The gentlemen who packed my shipment were awesome. My shipment has not arrived yet so this is just based on pickup. The service is expensive, especially for a small shipment due to their minimum size requirements.

From the first contact to the delivery day my concerns were met by this company in a professional manner. Actual movers were polite and hard working. On the schedule that was set up for pickup and delivery, all went well. Would use them again if I needed their service. Salesman found discounts for the job that I didn't know were available.

Upon delivery, he didn't unwrap or set up multiple large items (TV, toaster oven, didn't even bother unwrapping art, didn't unwrap, disassemble, or set up the guest bed!). NOT HAPPY! I'm in a wheelchair and can not do this by myself, so I'll have to hire a handyman! Called the day before pressuring me to make sure I got a money order correctly. I was told a check would be ok. Cost me $20 to Uber. Also, ordered expedited shipping and of course, it took the maximum time-4 days.

The moving experience we had with this company was great. The two gentlemen assigned to load my mother in laws belongings were amazing. They were polite, explained the paperwork well, made sure and made me aware of how some things were wrapped. They also worked very quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. They were actually so quiet doing the job, my mother in law literally slept through the whole process! 10/10 job, great employees, would definitely recommend.

Communicating between 3 different companies in 3 different states/time zones was not fun. I feel that Safe Ship moving company needs to work on their communication skills. Everyone was nice but gave wrong info most of the time. The actual movers did a fabulous job!! Very courteous. Handled my belongings as if they were theirs. And stayed in contact with me until the job was done.

The moving crew that showed up was very professional and took their time with all of my items. They were able to wrap everything in a way that nothing would break. Safe Ship brokers and Cobra Van Lines moving system packed and moved my household goods from Palestine Tx to Hattiesburg MS. Mohammad stayed in contact with me on the job and in between coordinating everything needed. He was very professional and helpful. The whole crew was very friendly and helpful. The two gentlemen were polite, clean, and respectful of me AND my furniture. They worked without incident from the on time arrival until they were finished. I am hopeful that the same service is provided at the destination for delivery. The driver and his cousin worked well together so that there was minimal double handling of the furniture, an event that leads to damage.

The movers showed up when they said they would, the guys were polite & funny, loaded everything quickly, told us to just sit back & relax, were careful with all items and wrapped or secured the boxes with extra tape, explained everything they were doing, given a copy of all paperwork.

Darius was prompt and knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He called me when he was 4 hours out which gave me time to manage the rest of my day. They moved the items from the basement to the truck carefully and efficiently. I was pleased with the service and would use them again if the need arises.

Representative was very professional, explained all steps of the move & answered all questions. Customer service kept in contact, verified the move date on the day promised which I appreciated, & followed through on calling me on day of delivery on ETA which was helpful. I am actually going to write a detailed letter when I finish this whole process as there have been some things I haven't been happy with, and my focus is on getting to my destination. I am very happy with my part with Ricky B when I initiated this, and it was because of him I went with this company even though it cost more initially than other quotes I got, elsewhere. I am very happy with the actual moving company, even though I was under the impression it was with Safe Ship and it would be veterans that would be doing this, I didn't realize it was a broker situation. It was everything in between, from the QA phone call, to all the different individuals I spoke to (not that anyone was rude, just conflicting information), right hand not knowing what the left hand was doing. I've moved several times and this move has actually been the absolute most stressful one I've ever done. Again, happy with it so far but there's several details that need addressed.

The movers were great. They called to let me know they’d be here 45 minutes before arrival so I had time to get everything prepped and ready for them. They came in and wrapped all my stuff for me which I wasn’t expecting, and they were gentle with my items and quick. 10/10 would recommend.

This company is a total scam, the price hiked our move twice and tried for a third. Once the household goods got to our location there was a lot of broken items, dishes, furniture, and figurines. They lost my father shadow box, item that were from Vietnam and can’t be replaced. This was due to several move pack into one truck so when they had to get to ours they had to pull out other customers stuff and I figured that what caused these item to break. They charged me 8000 dollars to move from Nevada to Texas and tried to raise it to 12,000. All they want is your money, their customer service representative are condescending, and straight worthless. I conclusion don’t use this company

They were late arriving. Were hard to understand. But they did great work. Loading up the truck. Very respectful and professional. I can't say the same about the service department. The man was rude and lied straight up to me about what he said just moments before. I won't use them anymore ever. But also I haven't gotten done yet so who knows what other crap they might try to pull.

Kevin ** helped me initially and was fantastic to work with. Closer to move, there was a few hiccups, but overall was a very good experience. Great moving team that communicated well and was proactive. Everyone was willing and able to answer questions as needed and customer service was great. The guys called before showing up, they communicated everything that was happening and gave me plenty of detail. They were quick and efficient and helpful. I really appreciated having them there. They were very patient and the pick up process only took an hour for my two bedroom apartment. The pricing was better than what other companies quoted me and they were able to make this happen in very little time.

Updated on 12/16/2024: Nothing has increased my rating. This company promised my dad a check to cover the damages and lost TV, however they have not provided that payment. Not only have they not paid, they have tried to use this review as leverage to send the payment, saying they would send payment as soon as this review was taken down. Unscrupulous behavior and I am not interested in being bullied. I plan to write this story, take the video and photos that I have, along with an interview of my dad and send this information to my friends at national news organizations.
Original Review: My 81 year old father used these guys to move from South Dakota to Arizona. They told him to expect his items in 10 days... It took a month. When he would call to talk to them they gave him the runaround and zero answers. When his stuff did finally show up, he was missing boxes including a 55 inch TV... This guy, Stan **, who owns the company puts you off. Taking advantage of an 81 year old veteran. Do Not Use.

I was given a $3500 estimate, turned into a $7300 actual cost for less than a 1/4 of a semi worth of stuff. The sales rep Greg, assured me even if we added some extra items, it wouldn't be more than $4300, but it final cost showed this was a lie. This "service" isn't worth it. They are only a broker, and overcharge for what they actually do. Once they get paid, don't expect any sort of communication, reply or help from them. They rope you in, then you are stuck with who they assign to you.
They will hire a low bid company that will nickel and dime you at every opportunity, and you are at the mercy of what kind of crew you get as they use subcontracted labor. We got lucky and ours at least packed ok (4 items damaged, 3 lost boxes). The delivery guys were schemers, offered to waive the extra walking fee for a bigger tip (they will rob each other for money). Either U-haul, get a Pod, or just find a quality mover on your own. It will be cheaper, safer and less stress.

My pick up experience with Safe Ship was relatively good. A few things that could improve:
- The truck that arrived for pick up was not the same as what I was told would arrive. I was told a Wayflower truck would pick up my things and it was a Ryder truck (apologies if this is the same company but I wouldn’t know if it is). Not a huge deal but a bit intimidating when three men are arriving in a different truck than told.
- The movers were efficient but not really personable. I didn’t feel like I was the customer, more like someone present to sign things and then wasn’t told what next steps would be for all of my belongings. When I specified which boxes contained fragile items I didn’t receive confirmation that they would be treated with more care than the other things or what that process would be.
- It seems a lot of things were not transparent when I booked this service. When booking and during the QA, I was told the delivery window would be 5-14 days but on day of pick up, I was told it could take 22 days from the ship date to receive my things. There are also a lot of additional charges that weren’t flagged when booking.
- The 75 foot surcharge was unclear. The distance being greater than 150 ft is valid but I wasn’t showed the measurement and wasn’t present for the measurement so the additional $150 dollars was sudden and unexpected and I didn’t not feel comfortable asking to better understand.
- The potential surcharge for a shuttle without being told that my things would arrive on a semi beforehand was alarming.
I understand these additional charges are for services that were not originally discussed, however I didn’t know they were a potential in the first place. I’ve read good things about Safe Shop and I appreciate how available the customer service is, the only thing is that at time of actual service I felt more like I was just being told to pay more money on top of the total price and yet I still feel nervous about the care of my items.

I made terribly choice choosing Safe Ship to ship my belongings. My storage unit was 5x10x10 and not even have full, my initial quote was 2,400 but I accidentally told them my unit was full but meant the floor was full, the price went up to 3,800 (that was my mistake). Unfortunately I was not able to convince anyone so price stayed 3800. When they called about it they said they could refund 600 if I signed a NDA so I did but they reneged on the offer.

Working with Safe Ship from the beginning was effortless. Jeffrey took the initial call and explained the entire process in detail and followed up several times before handing me over to Ryan **. I didn't have to follow up with them, they kept me on track. Was contacted day before the pick up and Assan arrived with his team after calling me to give me his ETA. Boris and Alex assisted.
The paperwork was explained and finalized and my boxes and items were removed quickly, quietly and efficiently from my home. I will meet with the truck at my storage unit when the items arrive to FL. I have no doubt I will get the follow up calls and ETA. 5 Star service from start to finish. Now I understand why they are given the honor of moving our military. Definitely, top notch. Juan ** and Henry were swift, energetic, polite, professional and very patient with me. I am 80 years and foolishly do not speak Spanish. We somehow managed. None of us had ever used postal money orders before so we acted out a lot of financial issues with body language and facial expressions. Juan **’s nifty cell phone did some translating too. I would definitely use No Borders Moving again. Edward in night shift was also extremely helpful helping me to fill out the pesky money order and helping me with digital documents too. For me a mental challenge and for them a lot of labor methodically and quickly done. Excellent job!

This company is horrible, liars and I would never recommend them to my worst enemy. To start the salesperson (Shawn) was super pushy and told me that that would be the cheapest price I would find. Well yes, it was, however, they lied or maybe failed to mention all the costs that could come with it until after I signed the contract. Their first problem is they ask for no pictures or videos of the furniture to ensure they are estimating the right amount. They call you 3 ish days before they pick up your stuff to go over your list of items. It was then that I clarified I had a 3-piece sectional and went over my other items. He told me I was below the estimated cubic feet and we would keep the estimated space (634 cubic feet) on the paperwork because it's a lot more expensive if the movers get there and you end up needing more space.
The movers (Star USA Moving) then get there and the lead looks at all my stuff and goes over paperwork with me. He mentions he estimates my things take up 800-850 cubic feet. He told me to sign the paper acknowledging the increase in space and I asked him if we could wait until the actual cubic feet were calculated, he told me to just sign this it just means I went over this info with you. I signed it (I shouldn't have but the movers are already halfway packed up and I need this stuff moved).
They also made me sign a sheet of paper saying that if I were not able to accept delivery from a semi I would incur a $250 charge for them to load it on a box truck. Mind you this signature was needed as they were packing my things up. No mention of it before. I even called Safe Ship to confirm there would be no semis. They assured me not. I later called Safe Ship to ask about this and their answer was "You signed with us before we made that change" So they should have told me about it BEFORE the moving company was already there.
They get everything packed up and it comes to 800 cubic feet which translates to an upcharge of about $750. I asked SafeShip why my estimate was so far off and they asked the lead to send the packing list. They concluded that I had about 4-5 extra 3 cubic ft boxes (15 cubic ft) and a "bulky sofa" so I questioned how my boxes and bulky sofa added up to 166 cubic ft. Safeship then told the moving company that they could not charge extra if my list didn't change but they could charge a bulky fee. Well, miraculously the bulky fee was $750. So they covered up the extra cubic feet charge as a "bulky charge". Then Star USA Moving took the bulky fee down to $400 but they still lied and I had to question them for about an hour to get it down.
I also talked to a manager about the issues which she agreed were wrong and sketchy, she told me she would ask the carrier for a refund or credit which they denied and then Safe Ship still took no further responsibility. Safe Ship took no responsibility for the inaccurate estimate and told me on my quality assurance call 3 days before that it never really goes above the estimate.
My things got picked up on 11/17/24 and it is now 11/27/24 and I still have no delivery date. (FL to WI move so I understand it takes time but they claim they have no schedule that far out.) Ironic considering they could get me a pickup date 2 months in advance but now I have to wait for who knows what to get a delivery date. When Safe Ship did the quality assurance call they told me to write my First Available delivery date (FADD) as 2 days before my actual because it takes the carrier 2-12 days after the FADD to deliver your stuff. My actual FADD was 12/2/24 but I wrote 11/30/24 because that is what they told me. I then got a call from Star Moving to confirm my delivery date of 11/30/24 and I was like no not until the 2nd since I am not ready on the day Safe Ship advised me to write, they have no idea when the next truck will be coming up here since it is a cross country move.
Overall this company will cause you stress and a headache and many phone calls to their useless customer service department when you will get put on hold while they accomplish nothing.

I really enjoyed using Safe Ship moving company to help with our parents' estate closure. They were very quick to answer questions and were actually able to arrange the cross country move in about a week. The movers texted 1/2 hour before they came and arrived right on schedule. They were quick, courteous and respectful and did an excellent job wrapping each piece for safe transport. I would definitely use them again for any move in the future. The fact that they are a military owned company was just icing on the cake!

Worst moving experience EVER!!! I've moved 8 times for work and this was by far my worse experience with a mover. We paid double our initial quote, even though we went over our inventory in detail plenty of times. We were moving 2 households a 3 bedroom and a 1 bedroom house from Atlanta to Dallas and the movers showed in 1 small truck. The driver did a walk thru and said the items would not fit on the truck. We asked why they didn't send a 53' ft truck - he said that was between us and the broker. Ended up with 2 full trucks at double the cost (26K to move 836 miles). Unfortunately they don't give you the final quote until the trucks are packed and they are holding your goods hostage. We have to store the goods 1 month before new home is ready and come to find out they store the goods in Georgia not Texas.
We now have to wait up to 15 additional days to have our good transported. Contact with the broker is extremely difficult. We could not get a call back from ANYONE to discuss the situation. Finally got a call several days later and told there was nothing they could do. Had we known the end cost we would have booked directly with a reputable moving company not a shady broker. Their disregard for the customer and flip attitude about all the money we paid was disrespectful. The broker blamed the contracted trucking company and the trucking company blamed the broker and we sit in the middle. Stay away from this company unless you have money to burn and would enjoy poor service.

The Movers were very fast and efficient. They did a Good job. They handled everything carefully and didn't even get my ex wife hollering or screaming which earned them 3 of the 5 stars. As they were loading I was watching to be sure all was secured properly. I don't know how much smoke I have to blow up this thing with but they were good. Efficiency experts from what I could see. Do not use this company under any circumstances!!! Our experiences with Safe Ship, from start to finish, put our family under considerable financial and mental strain. We put down a deposit ~3 months in advance for a single house move with full packing services from TN to MI after talking with a rep/sending pics of our home; the initial estimate was $5665. At our quality assurance call 2 days before the move, we did another walk through room-by-room with a SS rep and were then given a new estimate of $18300 - a 3X increase. With such short notice, we had no choice but to commit.
The day of the move, a single rep from the subcontracted company showed up with a truck that was 75% full. The actual movers were so clearly not experienced, did not have enough packing materials, left for >90 mins and came back smelling like **, and threw our items into boxes with no organization/labeling or care. With all our stuff in 2 trucks after 9 PM, we were then told our estimate was somehow over by ~1000 cubic feet and that we owed $3k more. A single rep was responsible for driving the 2 trucks to a hotel overnight and then to the final storage destination, which was unknown... Unpacking revealed an inexcusable amount of damage. Safe Ship deferred our complaints to the subcontractor and our grievances were never fully addressed.

I am moving from an apartment in Dallas to Maryland. Fresh from a horrible breakup and a huge move ahead of me, I was very stressed about this move. My movers were AWESOME and had all the materials I didn’t have and offered me lots of help and support. They were easily to contact and had great communication. They made the move as smooth and stress free- I have never had a move as easy as this one. The movers were very polite and friendly and I was very happy with them. Would 10/10 use them again.

Safe Ship is very kind on the phone but uses used car salesman tactics. They brokered us with a company called Top Notch Movers. We were told that this was one of their best shippers. This was a lie. Both company's have since ended business their relationship. We were also told they have a 3 strikes rule with their carriers. This may sound comforting, but it appears to mean that they do not vet the businesses first. For what it's worth, this is what I think safe ship owns in this experience. But it should be noted that this leads to pore carriers as elaborated below.
It has been 32 days since I reached out to get all of my belongings delivered, over 2 weeks since move in, and 12 days since we were given a 5-9 day delivery window. We have made hundreds of calls and many emails. Neither top notch or safe ship like to talk over email, presumably because it leaves a record I have access to. We have spent thousands of dollars getting apartment basics (such as a bed, desk, chairs, etc) to get us by until we recieve our belongings, and I'm not sure I will anymore to be honest. This is the most frustrating and damaging company I have ever worked with. The only other time I have seen a company like someone along like this is when they are scammers and have no intent on ever delivering the product. I work with freight carriers often for work, this is not normal. You can and should find better. This is not worth the stress, even U-Haul is far cheaper, easier, and takes less of your time, even for a cross country trip.

The supervisor in charge of the crew on my moving day was very friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. He explained each form I had to sign, answered all of my questions clearly. The crew was quiet, quick and knew what they were doing. They wrapped furniture in protective blankets, and carefully loaded each item. I have no regrets choosing them. I'm glad I didn't have to worry about moving those items myself.

I was notified when they were on their way with a ETA. The movers showed up when they said they would. Got everything loaded in no time, while making sure they didn’t damage anything. Don’t even consider this terrible, awful, no good company. They are only salespeople that will try to get money out of you any way they can. We put a deposit down, tried multiple times with multiple phone calls to cancel it before the 3 days were up. All they did was talk in circles until we finally got a competent person who canceled it. Or so we thought. It’s been a week and we still have not received our refund. We called back and got hung up on. The customer service lady was a jerk. $1K deposit is a huge amount of money. Turns out the refund was never processed even though we signed a document canceling the agreement. This is the worse company ever.

I went with Safe Ship because of their claims of being #1 in customer satisfaction and being veteran-owned. First, I was literally hounded to immediately sign the contract—DAILY phone calls, texts, and emails. Second, every time I called for whatever reason, I was told a different story by different employees. Third, the delivery date was way off the contract-stated dates. Next, I paid $400 for the item to be crated and it was “soft-crated”, meaning blankets, tape, and a board across the front. Last, the subcontractor (yes, they seem to low-bid subcontractors), literally upcharged me $500 from my signed contract and wouldn’t take my item off the truck until I paid them and then refused to write me a receipt for the cash payment. I will NEVER use them again.

We were given the estimated time of arrival. We asked for a specific time and the movers were there early ..which was great! There were eight movers that descended on the house after asking us for directions..I could not believe how fast and efficiently our furniture and boxes were wrapped..We could not have done this ourselves. I contacted Safe Ship for a move of about 200 miles. I clearly listed the inventory I wanted moved and was given an estimate of the cost of the move. When a second person contacted me 3 days before the move, he added two queen box springs to the inventory. The original inventory included two queen beds and the person I spoke with did not mention box springs needed to be listed separately. The box springs added $600 to the move. When the inventory was picked up, $150 was added because I lived on the second floor. The move ended up costing $750 more than the estimate or 30% more.
I believe the first person I spoke with intentionally excluded items to keep the estimate low. When I contacted Save Ship to complain, they just repeated that I was charged for the correct cost of my move. They acknowledged that mistakes may have been made and they will look into it internally, but I would not receive a refund for even a portion of the additional charges. If you use them, it will cost you more than the original estimate.

I hired this company after a pushy salesperson said how great they were and supposedly gave a better deal. I wish I had used local movers. Lesson learned. This move has ended up costing more money for less work done than the other company. Plus when they gave me their “window” and I made arrangements, I found out at 8:30 pm that they, in fact, would not be at my house until between 2 and 4 pm (originally between 10 am- 12 pm a day earlier than originally planned which caused me to scramble to get things in place). There are some things that can't be helped due to the weather but then the driver said he would be here in the morning (presumably to pacify me) because he then texted me at 9 am to say he would not be here until 4:30 pm and my things will not be unloaded until Friday. I live in the PNW and it gets dark at 4:30 pm. This is a miserable experience at an already stressful time. Expensive, pushy, unreliable.

Do not use. They will lowball your estimate and then charge you double. They were 7 hours beyond the time they were to show up. The movers were completely unprofessional, their customer service was insulting and rude. I called them because they are veteran owned and as a veteran, I assumed they wouldn't take advantage of veterans. I am disgusted that they use that as a ploy only to prey on vets. Used car salesmen are more honest.

The pickup was fast and easy. The crew came in to my Northglenn (Colorado) apartment at 10am, and left around 11am. About twenty two plastic totes, three bubble wrapped frames, and a small wooden table were loaded on to a U-Haul truck. I signed documents during the beginning of the move.

Avoid Safe Ship Moving Company at All Costs. My experience with Safe Ship Moving Company has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. They market themselves as a reliable broker, but in reality, their service is deceptive, unprofessional, and exploitative. Here’s why: Manipulative Estimates: I originally had a signed contract with PODS for $6,000 but was persuaded by Safe Ship to switch after being promised a "special discount." This so-called discount turned out to be fraudulent—my estimate was manipulated by removing key items from the list to keep the quote artificially low. When the truth came to light, I was already bound by their contract, leaving me no choice but to proceed and ultimately pay over $10,000.
Last-Minute Price Hike: Days before the move, they claimed my volume estimate had increased and inflated the price. I was pressured to accept the new estimate or risk losing my initial deposit and being left without movers, jeopardizing my ability to relocate for a new job. Horrific Delivery Experience: The movers arrived late, unprepared, and with the wrong truck, forcing me to do much of the work myself, including loading and unloading my car. They also charged me extra for "long-range delivery," a completely avoidable situation caused by their failure to communicate or plan properly. Damaged and Missing Items: Upon delivery, I found several pieces of furniture damaged, plastic bins destroyed, and part of my shipment missing—including a mattress and boxes that the movers promised to deliver later. To top it off, I ended up with an iron table that wasn’t even mine.
Theft of Personal Belongings: Most infuriatingly, some of my personal items that were in my apartment—not part of the move—were stolen during the delivery. A drone worth $1,000, portable speakers worth $200, and cash hidden in a drawer were taken. A plastic bin had been suspiciously opened, making it clear that one of the movers was deliberately looking for valuables. Safe Ship has denied all responsibility for the theft, despite these actions being carried out by movers they contracted. Zero Accountability: Safe Ship claims they "never had physical possession" of my items and refuses to take any responsibility for the actions of their subcontractors. Their emails show a complete lack of remorse, support, or willingness to resolve these issues. They seem to view their role as simply taking your money and then washing their hands of everything else.
This company preys on vulnerable customers, exploiting the stress and urgency of moving to inflate costs and avoid accountability. They create a façade of professionalism but are nothing more than professional scammers. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. If you value your time, money, and sanity, DO NOT USE SAFE SHIP MOVING COMPANY. I am pursuing all possible legal avenues to seek reparations, and I strongly urge anyone else scammed by this company to do the same. Safe Ship’s business practices are unacceptable and must be stopped.

I advised shipping company I lived on military base and anyone coming onto the base must have appropriate paperwork, to include green card or citizenship, valid driver's license, no criminal offenses, proper insurance and registration for their vehicle. My original pick up date was 11-1617-2024. I got a call from Top Movers verifying pick up time the 16th, 0800-1000, which was verified later for arrival time at 0800.
On the 16th I got a call from Top Movers saying the guys were eating breakfast and would be 30 minutes late at 0745. Again I told him that it was imperative the movers had all the aforementioned paperwork. He assured me they did. I was already waiting for them at the gate as it’s necessary for me to check them onto the base. They showed up at 0845. The check in process didn’t happen because neither of them had green cards. The workers were pleasant and professional, but simply didn’t have a green card. The agent apologized profusely and promised to have someone there on Sunday.
I decided to call your customer service and spoke with Brittany, who definitely earned a raise for taking such good care of me. After much back and forth, several phone calls, and much coordination, I was finally able to get assured they could have someone here Tuesday, 11-19-2024. This was a MAJOR inconvenience and I had to do a lot of juggling of last minute moving chores to accommodate them. They told me they’d take $200 of the bill.
On Tuesday I had no problem getting the next gentleman and his truck on base. He was very professional and very efficient and was able to get my items picked up much quicker than I anticipated. The only thing was he only took $100 off the bill. He said another $100 would come off the bill when my things were delivered. I feel it’s important to bring this to your attention. I was fortunate to have a couple of days to juggle things around. If you could please make it a policy for all your affiliated companies to make sure their workers have appropriate identification to get on a military installation, it would save others from having the same experience as me.

Huge disconnect between who you talk to on the phone and the people that actually come and move you. We talked to different people on the phone at Safe Ship and they all verified we would be paying to have 50% of our house packed by movers. When the movers arrived they brought in boxes and told us to start packing. Safe Ship also told us we would not pay for unused moving supplies. Another lie. We were unable to pack 50% of our house in the time that Perfectly Fast Moving was hauling out what we had already packed. They told us they were not there to pack and didn't know why we would have been given such information. The movers were a team of ** that poorly packed anything in the truck, not filling it to the top and charging for extra space.
When calling Safe ship to tell about everything they said there was nothing we could do since paperwork was signed. This is our 12th long distance move in the last 30 years. This was by far the worst experience if not traumatic, aggravating, underhanded experience we have ever had with a move. We also paid far more for this move than was ever estimated by $10,000. We have never had such much damage in a move. Do not trust this company. There is nothing they can do to insure you have an actual "safe" move!

They consistently kept me informed, updating me when a carrier was secured.
Forty-eight hours prior to pickup, they conducted a quality control call to verify details, meticulously reviewing each inventory item. While there was a slight adjustment to the price, the quote was guaranteed. The Jackson movers they subcontracted for the job were professional. Cesar arrived on time and kept me updated on his ETA. The pickup was executed flawlessly. I’m optimistic that my positive experience will continue all the way through to delivery. At this point, I’m confident that the value of the service outweighs the cost, as it remains reasonable.

The truck driver Diego arrived on time and gave us a 1 hour notice ahead of time telling us when he was going to arrive. He was able to navigate the box truck into a tight space to load from our storage unit. He was very professional and friendly and his team loaded the boxes quickly. Jackson Movers, who showed up for the pickup and drop off at our two locations, were amazing! They were courteous, professional, and very transparent. However, the individuals I spoke with directly from your company regarding my order did not present themselves in the same way. Originally, these individuals were very kind. However, they began calling my mom and I around 5-7 times each day, sending aggressive text messages when I mentioned that I was looking at other companies' bids and did not remain professional.
I completely understand that every company wants an order to go through, but calling my mom and me nonstop and not being very transparent with moving estimates, increasing the price due to changes in item descriptions, which were initially labeled incorrectly by the initial person I spoke with, attempting to make us pay higher for mistakes that were made on your companies behalf. Anytime we had confusion, the response to that became hostile and it made us regret choosing this company. In addition, other individuals besides the ones that I was in contact with began contacting my mom, telling her that our move was scheduled 5 days before we had originally planned.
In my opinion, there is no need to have more than 1 employee speaking with an individual client. We both began receiving calls from 3-4 individuals from your company, each speaking as if they had no idea about previous conversations we had with other employees, which added additional stress, discomfort, and confusion on our end. Then, when I asked Tyler about some confusion we were having with another individual who began calling us, rather than trying to assist in figuring out the source/accurate details of the move, I was told to reach out to the individual on my own and see what was going on. As the employee whose name is on our move estimate, the intimidation tactics and repeated text messages were not professional, or a good way to keep clients for future use. Personally, my family and I will not be using this company again. Thank goodness Jackson Movers was the company that came for the actual move because they were the only reason my family and I had a pleasurable experience.

When I politely told them that I didn't want to use them, they still kept calling and texting. Finally I got annoyed and told them that they were all rude and had poor customer service. Glad I didn't use them. Who know what would have happened after they charged $17K for my move and something went wrong.

The process from requesting a quote to the day of the move, staff were very supportive and hard working. I was called and asked questions regarding the type of move I needed and was provided several options to choose from. I chose the full pack and move as it was the best choice for my family. Prior to our move day, I received calls verifying details of our needs and when to expect the movers. The movers arrived in the late afternoon to do the walk through. They were extremely thorough with the notes they took. They met us at the old address at the time they provided us. The movers worked like a well oiled machine. The movers communicated well with regards to what needed to be moved and what was remaining in the house. They brought enough staff to make this move easier on everyone involved, which was wonderful.

I was referred to this company by a local moving company in Illinois. They did not disappoint. From the time I first called everything ran smoothly. Prices were upfront, they even advised me that it would be more for stairs. I was able to prepare for the increased cost. The payments were reasonable and I was able to get my SUV delivered before my furniture and that saved me money as well since I didn’t have to rent a car again. My furniture came a week later and the movers were great. They were friendly and considerate.

When dealing with Safe Ship, you are dealing with a broker. At the point of contracting, customer is unaware of who will be the carrier and their policies. The carrier’s packers/drivers are your first and only contact. I was not informed Full Replacement Insurance until the truck was packed at which point it’s too late to add to the contract. I called Safe Ship to request adding this option and was told it not their responsibility even though they seal the contract. They blamed the carrier for this oversight. Then the finger pointing began. Don’t give Safe Ship any money until you know the carrier and sign the contract directly with their representatives. The packers were professional but my goods are not insured to Full Value. The packers will not be the ones seeing my goods through to destination. Now, I can only pray there is no damage.

National moving company of the movers were on time, they called me the night before to inform me that they were gonna be there at 8 o’clock in the morning and half hour before they arrive. They called me to let me know that they were in the area as they approached and the moving started, they had everything there that was available for my packing. Everything was put into the boxes properly. They were very polite, very understanding and helpful and when I asked questions, they answered my questions without a problem and Service was exceptional. My father was a Second World War Two veteran. In his honor I searched for a Veteran owned service. Safe Ship came up. Even though they were higher than most I felt safe for my family. It was worth a higher price than I was quoted. A moving fee based on measured furniture and approximate box’s they told me they would add up with the box count and call a few days prior to pick up for final count. I had many questions prior to pick up which were never answered. I was ignored. When the contracted moving company arrived my bill doubled and add ones never stopped many were from the complete negligence of communication from Safe Ship Moving Services.
Many of my friends have moved in the past year from greater distances and paid a quarter of the price I was charged. They are a complete sham with total neglect and zero customer service. I am totally devastated for my family. We had to borrow money to pay for the outrageous charge. I told the contracted moving company that there is a misunderstanding. I paid in full. I was told by a customer service representative from Safe Ship that the quote I received was just the down payment. For your sake run. Do not even consider using this company.
You will also find out when paying their blackmail they do not take American Express. I told them I would pay the additional 5%. They wouldn’t do it but they added on an additional 4% because we used a charge card. If you want to save your sanity and bank account do not use Safe Ship Movers 200 Knuth Rd. Boynton Beach Florida 33436. This is a nightmare. When the contacted movers arrive and moved to their trucks 1/2 of your items for them to stop until you pay Safe Ship’s Moving company's blackmail. A very sad day for this supposed veterans. Please heed my advice for your sake.

I had no sense that things were being tossed around, even though they were in-and-out quickly. I received notice of their arrival, and they were very punctual. Worst customer service experience EVER!!! If I could give this company a negative 1000, I sure would. First of all, we paid WAY over our initial quote, even though we went over our inventory in detail plenty of times. They then showed up late with only 2 movers when we were promised at least 4, in which there was a language barrier to include the horrible customer service. We could not get in touch with ANYONE to at least advise us where in route our items were and when we could expect them.
Their disregard and disrespect for the customer and all the money we paid was not relevant to them once they had our items loaded in their contractor's trucks. They knew they had the upper hand, and boy do they use it to their advantage by overcharging and refusing to answer their phones or call back after leaving countless voicemails. We finally did get through and asked for the owners contact information and were refused. From beginning to finally receiving our items later than promised, every part of this experience was horrible and I would not recommend this company at all. We initially went with this company in part to the fact they advertise as Veteran owned. That may be the case, however they definitely need to re-evaluate what moving company they contract with and up their game in the customer service department.

Instructions were clear. Local moving company started the process on a good note. Respectful and on time. The next phase on-time as I waited for the truck to arrive. Had to remove everything in big truck to one that would fit at the complex..but the last part was the best. Finished delivering in just over 45 mins. I choose Safe Ship Moving because the ratings were so high.... Worst move we have experienced in at least 20 long distance moves! The first man we talked to facetimed with me to estimate the move. I trusted him and paid a $1600 deposit on the total $4500 moving costs. The night before move scheduled a lady from Safe Ship called and asked for another inventory count. I did that with her and we had eliminated a few heavy pieces like a large solid wood dining room table/chairs and large boxed tree. She told me it would be $1000 additional just because. I asked if I could just get my deposit back and start over... No way. So after much negotiating we agreed on an additional $500.
Moving day a different company came and first thing he attempted to do was charge an additional $500... I said take what you can and we will uhaul the rest.... Another, I'll call my boss and they accepted the already overbid price. I paid them another $1738... They loaded the truck and pulled off. I figured they would deliver but NOT the case. Another huge truck called on Sunday am (10 days after pick up) and said he was delivering that day and to have cash for him... so with only 4 hours notice and no bank or p.o. open I had to figure out how to get another $1738 in cash on Sunday afternoon.... Really???? I had to beg/borrow from friends. The amount was over zelle limit.
If driver would have called on Sat am when he picked up the load I could have gone to my bank but on Sunday??? And he was very rude about the whole issue... Just get the money!!! When he arrived he waited for an hour for helpers to arrive and help unload.... They never showed so he unloaded by himself. What a fiasco... I had no idea I would be dealing with 4 different parties.... This SAFE SHIP idea turned out to be the biggest messiest move ever. DON'T USE THEM... Go directly through the shipping company.

This was a long move from start to finish. It was also very expensive, but expected. They have a customer service center that goes over inventory. Then it gets farmed out to local company for pickup. Then another person moves and at drop off local helpers are there. It was convenient to pay with Zelle at pick up and drop off. Overall I’m satisfied with the experience.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. I was quoted $8,000 for my move from NYC to Nashville, then, my fees went up to over $20,000! I was told I could pay the balance with my credit card, then I was told I had to pay either cash, Zelle or western union cashier's check. I had made all of these arrangements with sales Rep. Gavin, and when I tried to reach out to him, he was never available. The driver upon arrival was demanding even more money for the time he had to wait while I went to Walmart to get the cashier's check he was demanding. I will NEVER use this company again.

Updated Review: After being smooth-talked into writing this review while my pieces were still being loaded (a mistake I will never make again), I noticed multiple items that I’d originally requested them to load in the initial walkthrough with the movers that were still inside my home as they were packing up to leave. I flagged them down at least 4-5 times to place the items into the truck as originally requested. The mood changed as if I were pestering them. They tell me the price which is over $1000 MORE than what was quoted and it didn’t even include my larger furniture pieces that were initially quoted. Mohamed says it happens all the time. They under quote to get the sale and then the movers are left telling the customer on moving day say the adjusted charge. Also, for a long distance move, the mileage is calculated differently which was also not mentioned, causing the price to go higher.
Obviously, I was stuck with the bill. And they know that you will be stuck with the bill, too. When they left and I realized they’d left my whole 65” TV upstairs, I was floored. With no repercussions and no way to shove it into our car, we have to give it away! Not to mention the multiple other boxes that were left behind that were supposed to go.
We called Safe Ship to tell them the TV was left, along with other things, and they said they would have someone call us. Instead, they contacted the carrier who then began irately texting me saying I walked through the property and it was my fault. How?! I told you before you began what was going, so why are leaving a TV? Why are you loading empty boxes that I set aside for you NOT to take? Bizarre and completely unprofessional. Calling me disorganized and unsure of what I wanted. I told you exactly what I wanted to ship. This company is terrible and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! They were uncooperative, unprofessional, and completely belligerent. Predators!

The first contact is the best you will ever receive from this group. Yes they are brokers and hire outside individuals to move your belongings. Price is very good on initial discussion and promises $500 off if you contract with them asap. That should have been the Red Flag! After the deposit the fees began to increase by more than $1000 dollars first it was blamed on the first contact not accurately setting up the move cost and blaming us for having too much stuff! On pickup driver tried to increase fee because of number items, however after walking him through it piece by piece he dropped the increase demand. Next the real problems began.
Safe Ship passed the move off to Just Pro who has blamed equipment issues and wasn’t really sure where items were being stored. The number of days to get the items moved is a farce 2-10 business days from pickup. We have finally been given a delivery day 12 business days after pickup and all kinds of excuses. A $7000 move from Kansas to Minnesota (799 miles) is a long move but for a fairly sparse 2-bedroom apartment it shouldn’t be as complex as these two companies are making it. If you are in no hurry and have lots of time for excuses go for it. If you need your stuff and believe their stated times are within reason —— choose someone else. Still waiting to see if the items will arrive?

I recently reached out to SafeShip for a quote regarding my upcoming relocation, and the experience was nothing short of frustrating. From the moment I made the initial call, it was clear that their focus was not on customer service but on pressuring potential clients into making hasty decisions. After providing the necessary details for a quote, I was transferred to a representative named Robbie. I explicitly stated multiple times that I was only seeking a quote and was not ready to commit to anything. However, Robbie's persistence quickly crossed the line into aggressive sales tactics. Despite my clear communication about pending job offers and the need to compare options, he kept pushing me to pay a deposit immediately, claiming I wouldn't find a better price elsewhere.
When I asked about veteran discounts, Robbie briefly acknowledged my status but quickly returned to the sales pitch, disregarding my wishes. Despite my polite requests for an emailed quote so I could make an informed decision, he insisted on trying to pressure me into paying upfront. When I reiterated that I was simply gathering quotes, Robbie abruptly hung up on me. This kind of treatment is not only disappointing, but it also stands in stark contrast to the values one would expect from a veteran-owned company. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of respect for potential customers. If you're looking for a company that prioritizes genuine customer service over high-pressure sales tactics, I would recommend looking elsewhere. SafeShip has lost my trust, and I certainly won't be considering them for my relocation needs.

The people in the office were friendly and professional. However, the movers themselves were late every time they came. They were pleasant but had not been well trained. There were boxes with objects from different rooms, making unpacking difficult. There was so much damage, I gave up trying to document it all. When we got to the new house, the costs rose. They wouldn’t unload the furniture until I paid an extra $1200. Unfortunately, my bank closed all Georgia locations because of a hurricane. Fortunately, I finally found a bank who would work with me. My original $8000 estimate came to over $14,000. I have moved nine times and this was my worst experience. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Total cost was in excess of $15k to move 8 pieces of packaging equipment from a the 6th floor of a business in Brooklyn, NY, to a warehouse in Columbus, OH. All items were wrapped very well with blankets, then cardboard, then shrinkwrap to keep them safe during transit. 4 guys were nice, quick and helpful.

Beware of this company! They are a high pressure brokerage moving company! All they care about is getting their ridiculous brokerage fee (example $5k brokerage fee for a $2,500 move). They will give you an estimate of how ever low it needs to be to get you to start signing multiple legal documents and make a minimum of $2k - $3k deposit. Then they pass you off to whatever moving company they find, that will charge nothing even close to the moving estimate they give you. You sign documents that lock you in and then when the shipping company packs your stuff and requires 3 to 5 times as much as Safe Ship Moving services quoted you then they keep your belongings till you pay the new bill that could be $5k-$10k more than their estimate or they will sell your stuff.
All of this is buried in the fine print of the documents they rush you to sign so you “don’t lose your spot”. They will even go so low to prey on Veterans talking about how they want to take care of veterans, just to try and get their brokerage fees through lies and at your expense. I was lucky enough to go back and read all the multiple legal documents they make you sign and find all the loopholes and got my deposit back within the required time frame…and that was a hassle that they tried everything to avoid refunding my deposit. Beware of this company, and I definitely would recommend looking at booking your move directly with a moving company and not a brokerage firm, especially Safe Shipping Company!

After talking to several people and being argued with, I was finally granted a refund of my initial deposit. I am only raising the star rating to 3 because of Kari ** (manager) who was extremely rude, arguable and difficult to speak to. I had to ask him 17 times to transfer the call to someone more pleasant and helpful. After arguing with him for about 20 minutes, I got to Jessica who swooped in and saved the day. She was so sweet and empathetic to my situation. She is an angel! 5 stars for Jessica!

When I asked to cancel and get my $1900 deposit refunded, they told me I would've had to cancel within 72hrs. That cancelation memo should've been null after they raised the price, but no.. After days of arguing with multiple people, they finally offered me a refund ONLY if I'd remove my negative reviews. I agreed. WEEKS LATER, I get a check for barely over HALF of my deposit. My negative review remains. Find a more affordable, more honest moving company unless you are growing money trees. I found a local company who moved me for under $2K.

Requested a moving quote online and received a phone call shortly after. The sales rep I spoke with seemed fair until I started explaining my complex living situation; I was then rudely cut off and put on hold. When the rep returned, I was never given a reason as to why I was cut off mid sentence. I was also never given the opportunity to finish talking. He then proceeded to call verified local moving companies “lazy”.. as a veteran owned company, I expected more understanding and professionalism towards fellow veterans and others. Find a more appropriate company.

I initially chose Safe Ship Moving because they quoted me $2000 for my entire delivery, and I paid a $750 deposit. However, just a day before the scheduled pickup, they doubled the price, claiming more space might be needed. They left me with two options: either lose my deposit or pay the increased price. With such short notice, I felt forced to go ahead, as finding a new mover last minute was impossible.
Unfortunately, that was just the start of the issues. My delivery was almost two weeks late, which was extremely frustrating. And when they finally arrived, they showed up in a massive 53-foot truck, but only a quarter of the space was filled with my belongings. The truck couldn’t access my area, and they charged me an additional $1400 for a shuttle service, something they never mentioned beforehand. In the end, I paid way more than the original quote, dealt with delays, and faced unexpected extra charges. This company is a complete scam with shady practices, and I would strongly recommend avoiding them. Safe Ship Moving is NOT a trustworthy option for your move.

The guys loading were great. But my experience after that was horrible. My stuff left Dallas, went to Boston and then to Little Rock. I have missing dishes. Broken dishes. Boxes were taken off the semi upside down. Including picture and TV boxes. Missing Dolly so was given one off the truck. Salesman told me bedroom furniture and washer and dryer would be disconnected, taken apart and then put back together when it arrived. Bedroom bed was not put together and had large chip out of it. Guy unloading said he never had reconnected a washer and dryer but did it anyway. Helper didn’t show up until 30 minutes into delivery and driver keep calling him after he unloaded a lot by himself. They were here less than 2 hours. Was in a hurry to leave without going around checking everything and I didn’t have time to make sure I received everything.
Called customer service. Surprise I’m on my own at 72 so good luck if you use them. It’s very hard to get through to their customer service. Left messages before delivery to find out where my stuff was and called several times to leave messages and it took two days for them to return calls. Meanwhile I had phone number of the original loader guys and they were the only ones helpful. Called delivery guy to tell him he didn’t connect headboard to bed and he said he was too far out and would do next time. What next time? Hire at your own risk. And be aware of what salesman is telling you, I feel like they took advantage and consider it elder abuse. You're on your own if things go wrong. I could have used pods, much cheaper and hired my own people to load and unload and had a better experience. Basically customer service is worthless for any help and company really didn’t care about my experience when I called.

I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, DO NOT USE THEM!!!! This review format forces you to give at least 1 star rating or I'd have given them none. I only wish I had read all of the reviews about them on Yelp before I hired this company. Safe Ship is a master in the art of manipulation. For one, they are not a member of the Better Business Bureau, so there is no recourse. They keep you on the longest call possible in order to keep you invested so that you feel as though you might as well use this company after spending over 2 hours on the phone with them just to obtain an initial bid. They promise you the lowest prices with the "Number one moving company", which is them, of course. They never mention using 3rd party movers.
They also blatantly lie and once you've signed up and given your deposit they continue to raise the prices--in total by 80%. They outsource all of the work to moving companies who have employees that don't speak English, so you cannot communicate with them. These movers are likely getting the smallest percentage of the overall fee that you've paid and when they came to pick up my 87 year old mother's belongings (1.000sq ft home in which much was given away to Goodwill) they also raised the price by 50% more and refused to take it (it was all loaded up on their truck)--knowing that you cannot or will not start over with someone else and lose your hefty deposit. This was 'Best moving service.'
I received a text from someone within Safeship who told me that our price should never have been increased and to call them to have this removed. I could not call him until the next morning and Safeship customer service claimed that he did not exist--despite it coming from the phone number I used to call them back. Perhaps an employee with a conscience was lurking there, I'll never know. I could say many other things but the bottom line is whatever they promise you will in fact be taken away as you become more and more invested.

Stay away from this moving company. They are expensive and the reviews on BBB are not good at all. They are a hard sell, self serving company. I got a quote from them for a move from CT to FL (which was very high), and thanked them for and said I was getting a number of quotes. They then wanted me to speak to a dispatcher who was rude and obnoxious. When I finally said thanks for the estimate, but will look around before deciding he hung up. Forget this company and look at reviews on BBB before you hire. They are rude and obnoxious

Thank you for being very efficient and thorough. Job well done and kind and friendly. Everything was reviewed and communicated prior to starting the job and everything was done with great care. We had a few items that were very challenging but the crew came together and had excellent teamwork.

These guys straight up lied to us. They made "guarantees" then sent us 2 ** the first day and 3 the 2nd. They brought a rental truck, dropped all of our heavy furniture, dropped many boxes and were careless. I don't have space for all the bad. This is NOT A MOVING COMPANY. This is a SUBCONTRACTOR. They sell your contract and remove ALL involvement after charging you more than twice what you would pay if you never involved them. Then when half of your possessions are damaged and there are holes in walls and gouges in the hardwood floor, they divorce themselves from the process.
I had requested to cancel. Instead of honoring the request, which failed to be during the 3 day return of down payment due to their QA not answering after contacting us for a revised inventory. Regardless, I opted to lose the 1851 dollars and hire someone else as that would still be cheaper than the 2k increase due to a severe estimate discrepancy. We told them 20 to 30 small boxes then upped it to 55. They entered 2 when they gave us original estimate. When requesting to cancel the QA guy said he made discounts to bring the price, but what really happened was the inventory defaulted back to 2 small boxes and removed all work. So when the subcontracted 3 stooges and a Budget truck showed up they charged us ANYWAY for the extra amount. And were hyper aggressive and rude.
Safe Ship took forever to address the estimate failure which required me to pay anyway and they launched a compliance investigation to review the phone call as QA is impossible to reach, they call you, ignore all else. So they couldn't save us 2 hours sitting around for a 1 minute conversation. And several days of headaches.
Now I am left to file a 3rd party claim on a 3rd party subcontractor that literally looked and acted like 3 random guys from Craigslist that rented a budget truck. None of the movers equipment, no flat dollies, no shoulder carry straps, no back braces, no gloves. So no grip. Safe Shipping CLAIMS to guarantee you the best. Then they send the worst. When something untoward occurs, they absolve themselves saying that is on the contractor. They subcontract to dark LLCs that have 3 names and no history. I doubt I will be able to claim with this company as it is likely they just dissolved it to make another.
NEVER trust this company. They lie. I have moved over 50 times in my life, this was by far the worst, the worst treatment of goods, most clumsy handling, most disregard. To say nothing of the reckless driving I witnessed. While they were 8 hours late. Safe Ship just accepted anything they said and ignored the customer first hand account and grievances. They shrugged me off to a website they didn't even have correct and did not provide required paperwork. The electronic signatures and paperwork is through a link they deactivate the second the move happens. I will be filing BBB complaints and reviews everywhere available.

The team was extremely professional and fast. I appreciated all of the care they took with my items. They were all very knowledgeable and they worked well together. I was walked through the entire process in detail. I would love to work with them again and would recommend them to anyone!

Javier and Marlon from Petrolino Moves were very kind, patient, hard working and understanding as they helped me move out of my storage locker. I just got my hip replaced and could not lift any heavy items. They were fast and efficient as they moved my items with care to the truck. I would definitely recommend working with these guys if you have any moving needs!

Initial contact with Safe Ship Moving went well as they gathered information and collected our money. We paid an additional $1738 for expedited shipping which they said was 3 to 4 days. Furniture was loaded on 8/24/24, on 9/3 we called, it was still in Seattle, never arrived until 9/8 with missing and damaged pieces, final shipment on 9/25. Notified safe ship requesting return of expedited shipping money. No success. We would never use their services again. They were unresponsive to our text and calls after they got our money.

Safe Ship made our move from California to Washington incredibly smooth and stress-free! From the start, their customer service team was super responsive and helpful. Walter and his crew did a professional and efficient move for my belongings today. Very pleased with how the pickup went. They called ahead and showed up within the specified time window that they gave to me. Looking forward to seeing them again when they arrive at my final destination.

Gavin ** really helped out the situation and was very kind and speedy with trying to get my truck delivered to my new address. If it wasn’t for him, my truck would probably still be in Oregon! When there was more charge, he reviewed it and he gave me some of my money back.
