Absolutely terrible experience. I was given 24 hours advanced notice that the movers were coming as expected. A few hours after the notification, I get a call from the carrier saying he was going to arrive in an hour... what?! Luckily, I was mostly ready to go, but they really pushed me to do it right away instead of the next day as planned. I tried calling Safe Ship to verify this was the correct truck because it was a different carrier than I was told would be there the following day. 20 minutes later, I get on the phone with someone who promises to get an update and call me back in five minutes. Never heard from her. I call back again, and 20 minutes later, I'm disconnected. I call back a third time, and twenty minutes later, I'm finally connected with someone who verifies it's the correct truck. An absolute mess in the middle of a work day.

Red warning. Only choose if you want to be cheated. They quoted me 2000 for a move, then 2 days before the date when there is no option to back out bumped it to 2500, in actuality charged 3600, amazing.

Because of a military career and then a civilian job that involved moving, I have moved a lot in my life. Safe Move was the worst and the most expensive by far. They are just middlemen who jack up the price. Their claim that they take care of veterans is a complete joke. To start, they did the estimate by phone (don’t be stupid like me, NEVER do a phone quote). They told me the estimate would go down if I got rid of some heavy furniture and appliances. They called for a second phone ‘walk-through’ of the house; I told them I got rid of the furniture and appliances, but instead of lowering the estimate, they jacked it up an additional $7000!!! Every other moving company I have used had a policy that their estimate could go down, but never up (unless I added things). At this point, it was too late to switch movers. I thought it couldn’t get any worse, but I was wrong.

I would not use these scammers. They say they are veteran friendly but they are not. They have many additional charges. They outsource the company Interstate McKenzie Movers is absolutely disgusting. I am going to the attorney general next. No return phone calls. On hold for astronomical amount of times. Of course when they are taking your money? They can't call you back fast enough. Do not use them.

Initial communication was exactly what I had expected based on earlier conversations about what to expect. The pre-moving inventory was thorough and everything was communicated clearly. Things weren’t as ideal once the designated moving days got closer; I had expected the 24-hour notice that I was assured I would receive but I ended up getting a 16-hour notice. That might not be a big deal for some but it is for me and it caused some issues with other services I had lined up for my move. The timeframe I was given wasn’t clear and based on what I was told, I expected the truck to arrive at the time specified.

Great service, very helpful. They worked around complications which was helpful. I think they could not have done a better job. I would recommend their service. Very friendly staff called me and made the packing work.

While my initial experience was frustrating due to unexpected last-minute fees and unhelpful customer service, I was very pleased with the follow-up I received from their dedicated moving partner, Rigo Moving Company.

This has been the worst experience of our lives! The entire process was riddled with issues from the very start to the 2nd delivery day. It all started with Bernard their CS rep. He reeled me in, hook, line and sinker. Stating they have a 9.9 rating and that they give veteran discounts. We chose Safe Ship because they veteran-owned and -operated company. I thought WHY would they screw veterans over. However, my experience was NOT anywhere near a 9.9 rating. I gave them my inventory over the phone on 1/23. Being as thorough as I could. I thought the original quote was not bad for a 1343 sq foot, 1 floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bath apt. moving an hour and few minutes away. No fridge, no stove, or dishwasher. Only washer, and dryer.

Everything went smooth. Great job. Customer Service very hard to contact via phone. Tried to get a call back after being told the wait time was over 10 minutes. Never happened! Hope you are more responsive when we try to schedule delivery. In person or when you call is great but you need to answer your phone! Halfway through move, expect update after delivery.

Good communication, came on time, respectful and well-organized professionals. Could not be happier. Explained the entire process and discussed all of my concerns with me. Quickly and professionally wrapped and moved all of my stuff.

This company is horrible! I was considering possibly moving next year. I was verbally promised a full refund by a sales associate named Caleb at any point, after declining their estimate because their refund policy stated refunds would only be given within 72 hours. I have it documented in an email that I would be fully refunded. They are now sending me in circles, telling me that it's been too long for a refund and they won't let me speak to Caleb or pull my call with him. It was a $1,700 deposit! This company's customer service is great at bouncing you from associate to associate, but horrible at resolving issues! I do NOT recommend using this company, despite their other positive ratings!

You will go over what you want moved in detail. Then they give you a total and you tell them no I will go elsewhere. They lower their price to meet other movers. Then week later you have to go through the house with video and they say the price again that was 6,000 higher. How does it go up $6000 when you listed everything they later video. I asked for my deposit back and they said it Is past 72 hours and can’t give refund. After an hour of intense conversation they lowered it 5,000. So still 1,000 higher. Then at the delivery site they asked for more money to go up to 3rd floor when that was already known. I have moved several times and this was the worse move ever. They constantly try to up the price. I will never use them again. Shame on Angie for recommending them. That site is supposed to let us know the good companies.

I called Safe Ship and without doing homework agreed to use them for our move from California to Iowa. Paid the upfront amount at that time. Later got a call to review what we were moving. Paid more Again. When goods were picked up still had to pay more again.. Goods left our home in Sacramento area to Los Angeles. Never left California. Family situation resulted in not moving. We had the goods returned to the same address. At that time we paid more again at drop off...total amount near 8K dollars..I called several times with no help. One person said it was not their fault we didn't move.. All we wanted was a partial refund. Just wasted $8000. Huge mistake choosing Safeship..Do you homework. They are just a broker not the one that actually moves you. Please don't make the mistake that we made.....major rip offs.

After weeks of discussions, Safe Ship worked to resolve all of the issues with our move. I appreciate our customer service rep, Jake, for his empathy, professionalism, and dedication to making things right.

FRUSTRATION, INCOMPETENCE AND NO ACCOUNTABILITY! If I could score Safe Ship a negative number, I would. Using Safe Ship with my last move (I have had many moves, including an overseas move) was nothing short of horrible and extremely frustrating. Not only did the people who showed up at my previous residence damage walls and flooring materials - which they shabbily tried to repair, they failed miserably in protecting my furnishings from damage during travel. Additionally, I got to go around and pick up cigarette butts, that belonged to one of the movers, after they left, from my previous residence front yard. That was a fun waste of my time. When my belongings arrived at my new residence there were so many damaged items, I lost count.

Alex with Fabri Express is extremely professional and his team are thorough with their service. They were careful with my belongings and made the process simple. I recommend Alex to anyone looking to relocate their furniture.

We hired Safe Ship Moving services because it's veteran owned and that's important to me because my husband is also a veteran. We were moving from North Houston area in Texas to Fayetteville NC. We bought the top tier package which included having them pack up our small 2/2 house. We had packed up the majority of our stuff leaving then just the kitchen area. We had separated the items we needed to drive to NC with our service dog. 1st off 2 out of 3 guys didn't speak or understand English! The guy who did speak English was loading up the detached garage far from the other 2 men who didn't. We told them to not pack a couple of bags because it was coming with us..After they finished the kitchen we realized that they had packed the dog's food and meds that we needed for the trip there. So, we had to spend an extra 100 bucks for their mistakes 😕.

Safe Ship Brokers along with Nationwide Moving, were awesome for me today. They were extremely professional and provided excellent customer service for me and my family. It was a pleasure working with them and I highly recommend them for any future business. Thank you Nationwide.

Safe Ship was very proactive in arranging my movers. I was very happy with Arrow moving services. The only thing was that my clothing was not included on my inventory and I had to pay 405.00 extra for wardrobe boxes and materials. The communication was very good with Safe Ship. All in all I am pleased with their service

I inquired about a quote for this moving company and was eventually transferred to a manager named Joel who significantly pressured me into committing and putting down a deposit. I conferred with a family member regarding the deposit. I explained to Joel that I needed to do my own research before putting down a deposit and that we would contact him at a later time regarding our decision. Joel's attitude immediately changed due to not being able to take advantage of a young, inexperienced female. Joel acted unprofessionally and insulted/disrespected my family member due to them convincing me to hold on a deposit. After my research, they were overpriced and I ended up finding a cheaper company to assist me in my move. Do not recommend.

Safe Ship Moving Services and No Boarder Moving & Storage worked diligently to resolve my claims dispute for damaged items. I was contacted by both parties to discuss a resolution to make me whole or assumed property value. The owner of No Boarder Moving & Storage reached out to me personally with the utmost respect/concern for making things right. Yes, like all interstate movers, they accepted liability for damages to my household goods during an out of state move. I was compensated by the company, agreed to a settlement under released Value. The owner worked with me and ensured that I was going to be made whole for damage items reported after my complaint. I am satisfied with the outcome.

With having only 2 people they were able to load up 2 locations very quickly. They took a lot of time making sure things were wrapped up nice. They were very thorough taking pictures and videos of everything before and after loading.

So glad we used Safe Ship to ship our things!! Eugene & Assylbek were completely fast and efficient! They are TRUE PROS when it comes to knowing what it takes to do this job! There's no number high enough that I can give them!

I am writing this negative review because of the experience I encountered with first class movers. At first I was in a sense forced/pushed to write a good review at the time of pickup (December 2024 - Sammamish, WA.) and when my things were delivered to (January 2025 - San Diego, CA.), some of my items were completely destroyed, damaged by placing heavy items on top of my brand new desk I bought months ago. My printer cart wood was split in half and I can’t just purchase the printer cart alone, a desk comes with it and the cost was around $500.00 (Amazon price) for the set. They also damaged my lamp base (Amazon price $60.00), picture frame broke ($15.00), 10 quartz install cover handle was smashed/cracked ($150.00), 32 shoes, wooden shoe rack (Amazon price $120.00).

Upfront was a very good and professional experience with a lot of communication. When it came time for the actual move several things told to us never happened. First, we were told that someone from the moving company would be out 4 to 5 days prior to assess what needed to be packed and moved. That did not occur. Secondly, we were told that the movers typically came by 10 AM. That did not happen. Thirdly, we were told that we would receive a call 24 to 48 hours prior to the move. That did not occur. I had to call them to find out that the move was scheduled for the next day somewhere between 3 and 6 pm. Cannot recommend this company,

As we all know, moving can be very stressful and along with other factors I spoke out with some unkind and unhelpful reviews. Over the past few days I have been in contact with Safe Ship and their team as well as with their partner, Quick Shift Moving Inc. and have resolved all issues and at this time am very satisfied. I have to add, that Sandy, with Quick Shift Moving has been a pleasure to work with and their moving crew, headed up by Junior are the best!!! Both parties have gone way out of the ordinary to ensure my move has been successful and stress free. Thank you both!!!

Our previous review was forced (Tariq from EZMovers asked multiple times for the screenshot of the review on the day of pick up and we felt forced to provide a good review as all of our possessions are in his hands), so we wanted to provide our HONEST review now. We were very excited to work with SafeShip company after seeing the high ratings and that you were a family- and veteran-owned and operated company. During the estimate, we were pressured to provide an inventory on the spot. we were told a deposit must be made immediately or else we would risk losing the "discount" we were being given. We requested time to think it over and were denied.

Safe Ship made my decision very easy to use their services. I was anxious about using them because they required a deposit when you book, but all of the follow up the customer service agents have with you is so reassuring. The team they also chose to pack and load our things were absolutely amazing. They were friendly and understanding, and most importantly were so careful with all of our belongings. Will definitely recommend/use them for the future.

The guys were great! Christian and Manuel were very personable and friendly. The other young man didn't speak English but worked hard, as well. They were all very fast and seemingly read each other's minds as they worked together!! Great team‼️ The only thing that I didn't count on was that they left with my key fob but I was able to get it replaced shortly after I discovered it missing.

Excellent moving broker and even better being connected with East West Moving Co. Assan and Adam were professional, efficient, and kind. Each call with Safe Ship was efficient and transparent. A great deal for my small, but far move!

Mr. William ** of Safe Ship Moving Services pulled the whole bait and switch routine. Safe ship implies that they are a moving company, takes a deposit for your move. However, the deposit is actually a "broker fee" which is never told to you. By the way, Mr. ** is not a licensed broker in the state of Florida either, so he should not even be collecting a broker fee. Then, when the movers come, they conveniently find ways to add additional fees (about as much as the broker fee).

VDMD Van Lines packed and loaded all our items for our move. They were on time, careful, professional and friendly. They worked quickly. The two men worked hard. They padded all our furniture well. I recommend them to anyone who needs their services. Our belongings will now go into storage for a month and I am confident that they will also deliver with care.

I was first quoted 3K for a 7-mile move of a 2-bedroom apt. After I signed up, my quote went up to 4.5K. I emailed my rep, which is how they operate, and asked to make edits to my quote, as I was going to move more items myself. I did this 3 DAYS before my move, and never got a follow-up. They called my move Long Distance (7 miles), I was hit w/ 110.00 extra for TV's (which I had asked to be removed a week prior), the actual movers (contracted party) charged me 285.00 extra for fuel (7 miles). Nickled and Dimed, wouldn't help me on the front end or the back end to make it right. I tried to call after the move and the "manager" read from a script. No help. Finally said she would need to get the paperwork from the movers before she could help me further. NEVER CALLED! Don't use. You will be WAY overcharged.

Resolving problems with a refund.

Avoid and find local movers who won't pressure you into a contract that doesn't accurately reflect verbal agreed upon terms. Additionally-even when no actual moving has taken place they keep your deposit if not cancelled in 3 days of contract. Completely disgusting customer service.

Safe Ship helped me with my move today. They were extremely professional and accommodating of my various furniture and boxes, even resealing or further securing some things that I missed. They inventoried everything meticulously, and put in the time to make sure everything was wrapped and cushioned appropriately. Despite this, they still packed everything up efficiently and in a timely manner.

I'm happy with the gentleman who came here and picked up my furniture. But when I first got to company I got one price and then it was changed and went up to another price. Another seven or eight hundred dollars more than I was supposed to pay because the first person didn't take the right information, the first time I'm not happy with that at all.

DO NOT USE!!!! Bait and switch 100%. Nothing but lies … Horrible people … Was told they could move everything easily and quoted worst case scenario and then tried to up the cost over $4000 …. Unbelievable that this place is still in business.

I had a very disappointing experience with Safe Ship Moving. After filling out their online form, I was immediately contacted by a representative who asked me the exact same questions I had already answered. This process repeated again when they transferred me to another representative, who once more asked the same questions visible on their screen—yet never provided me with a quote. To make matters worse, the representatives I spoke with were unprofessional and displayed a hostile attitude throughout the conversation. Their lack of efficiency, poor communication, and rude demeanor left me frustrated and unimpressed. I strongly advise against using Safe Ship Moving until they realize that customers have plenty of other options and that professionalism and basic customer service are not optional—they're essential.

They called and kept us informed on where they were, when they would get to me. They were polite and fast at unloading into the storage! The took the utmost of care for my antique grandfather clock, and we would use them again. Thanks.

Safe Ship movers have great salespeople, they’ll promise you anything to get you to sign a quote, including saying that the quoted price is the maximum you will pay for the move. Then 2 days before your move, they’ll try to charge you an additional 50% on top of the originally quoted price, and keep your deposit if you cancel their services. This company is set up to take advantage of people, please don’t give them your business.

Safe Ship is a scam of a company. They do not keep up their end of contract agreements and the customer service is absolutely terrible. If the time frame of delivery is agreed to be between 5-10 days there is NO excuse for delivery outside of that 10 day window. Everyone I've managed to talk too (by calling a dozen different numbers) has been impatient and rude, taking no responsibility for the terrible experience and stress I've had. The company is a scam and they are thieves. I can only believe they've stolen my belongings as it was all loaded up onto a truck 20 days ago and I have yet to get any confirmation of a delivery date or time. This is a terrible company and no one should ever use them.

Move with a pro crew Ramadan and Alejandro were very polite. And extremely helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate me. I am very please with the way they packed everything. They are truly professionals at what they do. I would recommend them to anyone else that might need a moving service. And they definitely need a raise!!

They packed up my belongings very well to prevent any damage during the move. They were also very efficient in the move, and valued my time. Juan and his help were very friendly and helped in any way they could.

SafeShip is a BROKER. The actual moving company was A&S. A few days before the scheduled move, they did a quality assurance check and increased the price by over $7,000, knowing it was too late for me to hire someone else. Only one of the actual movers spoke English. They were very careless, broke several objects and pieces of furniture, and only worked when the boss was watching them. They also denied creating a huge dent and scratch on my wall. DO NOT USE!!!

The pickup was smooth, quick and easy. The team carried and packed each item efficiently and effortlessly. My furniture was disassembled and handled with care ensuring everything was securely packed and transported.

The move had its ups and downs but a resolution was made in part by the company to mend any trouble I went through. Communication with customer support was clear and they were proactive when working towards a solution.

SafeShip participated in fraudulent, unethical, shady, and neglectful business practices that ultimately have come at our expense, both financially and emotionally. This company has taken an already stressful and overwhelming process and made it exponentially worse by baiting and switching us. SafeShip made false promises, baseless claims, failed to manage expectations or communicate even the most basic things related to our service, priced gouged us, and brokered a move with a company that damaged or destroyed thousands of dollars’ worth of furniture, equipment, and other precious belongings all while having shown a lack of care, compassion, or understanding for their consumer. Up to this point there has been no accountability for either of these entities. If this is happening to us, I can guarantee it is happening to others.

I just wanted a quote from this company to compare to some others that I was looking at as well. When I finally got that quote it was around 4K when two other companies quoted me around 1800-2000 dollars. I decided to go with another company. I got a call from Shay, she asked if I was going to use them, I told her no and I chose another company. She asked why and I told her it was cheaper and better for my budget. She then asked me what they quoted my cubic footage and I told her to which she said "oh I have you at more" and I said okay....

I recently booked a move with Safe Ship Moving Services, and I strongly advise anyone considering them to think twice.

Movers came on 2/25/25 and said, "What day would you like your belongings." I said, "3/1/25." Now they are telling me that's the date they get to go off of and not the pickup date. They should do better for this price.

I would not recommend this company. I was promised several things by my “move coordinator“, every single item was a lie. The price kept increasing after contracts were signed, to make it equal to Allied or United Van Lines. I was told things would be packed for me because I am disabled. That I could bring our wine collection and we didn’t need to empty our items out. EVERY little thing was extra! I was told my vehicles were to be moved but, oops we forgot to send it to the auto department to schedule it for the price quoted. Turns out they are at the higher end of the range of vehicle movers. Trust me this turned out to be almost 2x the quoted price and we even had to hire extra movers to bring our stuff to our front yard because our backyard was too far and cost extra. I just found out that at our destination, everything is going into the garage because will cost extra to move it into our home.

I worked with Noah directly who seemed sort of professional in the beginning. As soon as I signed the contract after explaining to him in detail his response was the ugliest response one could offer a customer. I told him I have cancer and moving to Chicago was for treatment but in case something happens I needed his company to work with me. One week prior to moving, I was deemed critically unfit to travel. I reached out to his company and he said I can save it or transfer the 2k towards friends/family and if I go down the route of reversing it through my credit card company it's fraud. Imagine going through cancer and chemo and whens are limited and Noah wants to pocket 2k for his company. Disgusting immoral pig. This is not a family based company. Please don't work with them.

They hired some of the worst movers $17,000 could buy, just to start off. They hired Rigos Delivery to handle our move and they were a nightmare to deal with. Disrespectful and trying to charge us more at every turn (even though we already got charged more "just in case" by Safe Ship themselves). They only had to pack up a living room and 1 bedroom and they were RUDE, and complained at every turn.

I strongly advise against using Safe Ship Moving. This company is predatory and engages in deceptive business practices that are blatantly fraudulent. When I first spoke with them, they lied over the phone about their refund policy to secure my payment. They assured me I would be eligible for a refund under specific conditions, but after I paid the deposit, they completely changed their stance and refused to return my money, over $2,000—despite NEVER PROVIDING THE SERVICE.

We had a horrific experience with Safe Ship Movers of Boca Raton. We had pictures of our 10'*15'storage unit and an exact count of the number of boxes we were moving. They estimated a $2,900 move cost, but then called us a few days before the move, only to then double the cost of the move based on the same pictures and information that the estimator had for a month. Elizabeth, who called, claimed that The pictures we sent to Tyler a week before Elizabeth called Actually showed 750 cubic feet of moving stuff rather than their (Tyler's) estimated 350 ft. We ended up cancelling and moving ourselves in a 428 cubic foot Penske truck which was only filled Halfway!

We contacted Safe Ship on 10/9/24 to request an estimate for an interstate move from NY to VT. We had been impressed by their "veteran owned" status and the positive reviews on their website.. They "inventoried" our household goods over the phone by having us go from room to room and describing all items to be moved. After completing this 2+ hour process we were transferred to their customer service dept. We were given an estimated cost of just over $17,000 based, in part, on an estimated load weight of 17,000 lbs. We were informed that the quote included a $2000 discount -- "good that day only."

Updated on 03/14/2025: Everything the company wrote in response is untrue. Someone reached out and promised a discount and then they have mot upheld it. It's been 11 days since I was told to be there because my items would arrive. Two days after posting this I was promised a discount and my items would arrive Thursday or Friday. It is jarring how disorganized Safe Ship is and lack of communication. Now I've been told no record of discount and they have yet to schedule my delivery.

It was a great experience. There were no issues and the movers were polite and very hardworking. All of my items were handled with care. They were specific and detailed with all of the paperwork. They made the moving less stressful and very manageable. I would highly recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again.

This company continuously changed the price throughout the process. I was informed a 75 dollar fee at pick up then it turned into 300 at drop off. I was informed the drop off would be 2/3/25. The drop off ended up being 2/21/25. I’m not saying this is typical but they were a complete waste of money and time for me. They couldn’t have paid me for a positive review.

Do NOT use this company. They use shady business practices like quoting a low number that they have no intention of honoring. We attempted to use this company for our January move. They quoted 22k for full service and after a rude hang up by them and a call back, they said 10k. Still high as our previous move that was the same distances was only about 3k but understandable since that was 10 years ago. We went over things. Told them there was going to be a lot of boxes along with itemized furniture. They said they'd talk about the boxes later and they'd get us a big truck. We gave them a 4.5k deposit. Come to the week of the move, they call to recap inventory and we give them a specific box count. Our price is now 22k again. Surprise!

Buyer beware! This is not a good moving company. They use bait and switch. Give you a reasonable price then double that price after your cancelation clause is over. Good luck trying to reach someone once they have your money. They charge twice as much as other companies but you find this out too late.

They showed up promptly, verified all information and cleared everything out quickly and carefully. I hope to use them again whenever I get the chance. As a disabled person I couldn't ask for better help.

Outstanding job! They were on time, efficient and very communicative. There was a 3 man team and they worked tirelessly for 5 hours. Customer service has checked on me throughout the process and confirmed each step of the way. Each person I dealt with was professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend to anyone moving across the country.

This company was quick to take my money and deposits. But now that I've had a partial delivery I'm still missing my $10k wheelchair. No one from their office will call me back. They screwed over a disabled vet. I don't have the money to replace it and they refuse to do anything or acknowledge any liability.

They were fantastic, polite, professional and thorough. I would hire them again. They arrived on time and they were done very quickly. They also actually provided me. This is my drop off date. Great service all around. Built from the company I called and the movers. It was top notch.

The movers and the customer service were all very professional. I appreciated their ability to do move me out of NJ and to VA in less than three days doing everything very efficiently and effectively. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone moving across states or locally.

My auto got here in perfect condition. Stuff was packed very well with only a couple inconsequential things were broken. I have to say I have moved at least 10 times and this by far is the best move from the packing to driving across country to the unpacking. The only thing that changed this from a five star to a four star was they needed more people. On the packing they had to call in another person and on the unpacking. They only had two people so all the things that they were supposed to do on a white glove move was not able to be finished. They got my main stuff done. The movers on both ends were fantastic. Couldn’t say enough about them.

Short move, very happy!! Vasyl and Ihor came to our home and packed everything for us. We moved 5 miles so they also unpacked in the same day. Everything was packed and wrapped so well that there was no damage. They were friendly and nice. We would use them again. Thank you!!

This was a very smooth move. I was called several times to make sure we were all on the same page, and the driver called when he was an hour out. They were well within the given time frame and were very efficient. All my furniture was treated with care-- wrapped with blankets that were well secured. My piano was very well wrapped and I'm sure will arrive safely.

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. We had a horrible experience with this company. Beware of price hikes up until your belongings are delivered to you. Make sure you have extra insurance to cover your belongings separate from this company. Don't believe anything you are told because their word means absolutely nothing.

Talk about life savers! Not only did Happy Wheels Moving respond super quickly and send the movers exactly when I needed them, but they were also incredibly adaptable to demand. I accidentally left my passport in one of my drawers while it was being packed (I leave the country this Friday), and they went above and beyond by pushing up my delivery date to my new address—two states over—just to ensure I could retrieve it in time for my trip. I will most definitely be using them again, and I cannot recommend them enough!

The pickup went as smooth as possible! The movers called the day before to confirm pickup time range and then called me again the next day to let me know they were an hour away. I was very happy to find someone to ship my family belongings from Gardena, California to Orchard Park, New York. Bryce was wonderful on the phone explaining everything to me allowing a great deal of time for questions and encouraged them. He made the transition from paperwork to actual pick up of the belongings, very smooth.

The crew I worked with were absolutely wonderful and professional. They were excellent and had great customer service. They handled everything as if it were their own belongings and truly helped me. They offered assistance when placing items of furniture. They were fast, while at the same time they were very cautious. They were courteous as well.

Super unethical company. Was quoted for a move after reviewing all necessary items for the move. Days before the move date I received a call to review all the items again and suddenly the price doubled. Being days away from the move I had no choice but to pay. Feel so taken advantage of.

I have never been more dissatisfied or displeased before in my life; especially with an organization that "says" they are veteran friendly. I've never been ignored, yelled at, hung up on or felt like I was a bother to someone I'm paying money to, that is actually supposed to perform a service for me. I would NOT recommend this company or their sub United Way Movers because they will take your money, better yet, demand your money upfront, treat you like trash, damage your goods and not bother to repair them. I found this company through the Consumer Affairs site, I would recommend removing them and United Way.

What a waste of money! There’s no reason to use a broker but somehow I got sucked into the scam. I’ve moved cross-country 3 times without one and saw no difference in the experience except for my bank account. I see no added value in using this company or any broker. They take your money and are gone after a couple phone calls. Avoid a broker at all costs!!

The entire crew was quick and efficient. Everyone was friendly and helpful as well during the entire process. The manager of the crew helped me out during the process and made sure I understood every step during it. Everyone was gentle with my things and made sure it was well protected.

Initial consultation they quoted us based on the items we provided was $3100 in which we explicitly asked the sales rep if this was our take home price and he confirmed. Get a call one week before move in to "confirm dimensions" that we were never even asked about in the first place... Hit us with a huge markup and blamed us because it's "more space" bringing the total to $5500 AFTER they had already collected the deposit. Made my wife cry and put my family in a huge bind. Thanks SafeShip real quality company. Coming from a family of veterans you should all be ashamed of what you do to people.

In December 2024 I used Safe Ship to move from Florida to my hometown up north. I went online and it looked like Safe Ship had good reviews. The sales rep worked through the moving process. We agreed on a price as well and I paid a deposit. Please note the movers would move my things to Florida border and then my belongings would get picked up by a long-distance mover. My things, which were mostly smaller items and clothes, were given a inventory numbers at my Florida apartment. They were moved and stored in a Florida warehouse until a distance mover was found. It took more than a week and I didn't know where my things were being held.

I was so impressed with their services. They are so punctual arrived on time. They demonstrated exceptional professionalism in carefully packing and wrapping my furniture and everything. Their efficiency was so impressive throughout. I would highly recommend. Thank you so much for making my moving experience so easy and seamless.

Absolutely awful customer service. First of all, the initial employee we talked to (Christian) lied about a truck being in the area the day before we are supposed to move, and when pickup was scheduled. NOW, it is two days before our move and we get a call that they cannot pick up until the day we LEAVE LATE IN THE EVENING. We leave in the MORNING. Instead of assisting us with this issue, the two customer representatives we spoke to said “There’s nothing we can do.” They then proceeded to tell us that an employee can say whatever they would like to get a sale. So this lie about the truck being in the area to get our stuff the day before we left, total lie. Also, it is mind boggling that an extra 10 boxes (SMALL) will run up an extra 1k. We took them off because at that point, we’ll ship them via mail. What an awful experience.

Today a very efficient and fast moving crew from Reliable Van Lines/Safe Ship Moving Services did a fantastic job of packing up and moving my home. Thank you! Would definitely use this service again!

This is absolutely the worst company I have dealt with. From the first quote I received from my salesman to the final almost doubled. (moving from Az to Tx) The 2 men who showed up to pickup my item were actually very nice and did a good job wrapping up and securing my furniture. They told me my delivery date would 2/13/25 and then put a date of 3/8/25 as the latest date (I stated absolutely not on that, I need my furniture and my clothes ASAP as I’m starting a new job on the 22nd). The gentleman told me that date was for my safety that if something happened and I was unavailable for my items that they wouldn’t start charging me storage until that date. So I called yesterday to see the ETA for my delivery and they told me it would be as late as 3/8/25 as they were waiting for another load to add to it.

My family contracted Safe Ship to move us from Oklahoma to Maine. Originally we contracted for 11,000 cubic ft of space. A few days before they said the person who wrote our manifest didn't do it right and that we needed 17,000. To keep our rate we had, we had to pay the different right then. Then when they got here they couldn't even get 11,000 cubic ft on the truck. When we called the representative was extremely rude. So we were out a LOT of money, had to rent U hauls because they couldn't get everything on the truck we paid for, AND the customer service was the worst we have ever experienced. If we had it to do again we wouldn't have used this company. Whatever you do. Go somewhere else for a big move. They may be more expensive at the quote but by the time Safe Ship is done you will spend so much more that the others are cheap in comparison.

We hired movers for our heavier items. Safe Ship customer service was very helpful in giving a clear quote and worked with my timeliness. (2days notice) Walter and his crew feom Cobra Vanlines were amazing, efficient and very professional. They arrived within the timeliness provided and made the move easy and stress free. Highly recommend.

Horrible experience. I hired them for a huge move and they did a horrific job. They told me the movers would be delivering next day by noon and no one showed up until the evening and done if my furniture was broken. And damaged. When I called they were rude. They have terrible customer service and fail to communicate properly. I would not use them again.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I called Safe Ship to have a move taken care of super quick. They quoted me for 5k. They assured me they would pack everything up, store it for 24 hours on a truck to the new location, and then unload it. This was a complete fabrication. First of all, they told me the wrong truck size after I had already given them size of my house and the items in it. Then I asked about keeping it on the truck for 48 hours since there was some time issues between the closing of the house and when I had the key. They said they would never store items on a truck for 24 hours to begin with. I asked how that was possible since I was assured that it would be on the truck for a minimum of 24 hours. They said they would take it to a storage facility, but then I would be charged for an entirely separate move to move it to the house. This means my move would not be 5k as originally discussed, but 15k.

All the staff I spoke to at Safe Ship were very kind and helpful. I never felt as if I was forgotten about or ignored, any issue or problem was resolved quickly and explained thoroughly. The movers were kind and moved everything quickly and efficiently. They were obviously very experienced and kept everything professional.

I would have given 5 stars, however it’s taking them least 2 weeks longer to deliver our belongings; I’m sure due to these winter storms. There was one guy, 1. He was quick, professional, went the extra mile to be sure we stayed within our budget for such a sudden move. He was extremely careful loading and stacking our belongings. Did I mention quick? It took him less than an hour to load up. Many blessings to this company!

The movers were kind, respectful, and moved my items quickly, efficiently, and with care. It did end up costing me a little bit more for the extra long haul steps. They took extra care with wrapping up my bed frame. Overall, it was a great experience! I would definitely use them again and refer friends and family!

Everyone was great except for one person who did not know what she was talking about. She was too busy talking rather than hearing. I’m still 100 percent happy with this move. I use to be in the moving business in the late 70s and 80s. I’ve moved many people cross this country. Things seem different today (better). I miss it watching these young kids loading my stuff. I’m 70 and those days are over for me. Thanks for everyone that participated in this move except one.

The moving people were amazing to work with and made the move quick. They were very respectful and made sure we were notified when they were arriving. The team that came and picked up my belongings were great. All three men were professional, personable and polite. They listened to my concerns about my dining table and wrapped it with extra blankets. They definitely knew what they were doing. Overall they did a great job. It went quicker than expected.

Everyone was friendly. All was on time and all went smoothly. When discussing on phone or those I met in person everyone was friendly and very courteous. Pickup of my goods also went very smoothly and the gentlemen explained each paper I signed. If the need arose I would choose to use Safe Ship again without hesitation.

The movers showed up when agreed upon. They were helpful and polite. They picked up and delivered my furniture to the correct address a put together the things they took apart when they moved the furniture. A very good experience for moving. The only thing I had a problem with was when they delivered my loveseat when they put it together the recliner doesn’t work.

The only real issues I had was I was originally told a Monday pick up when speaking with the people I booked same day with, when they called me "24 hours before" I was told Tuesday so I had to move around some appointments I had set up with having been told a Monday pickup. Not a HUGE deal but rather annoying. I was also told that the movers would be calling me 30 minutes before they were going to arrive and they called AS they were pulling in but they spoke VERY little English so it was difficult and we had to revert to texting for them to be able to use translation.

Rating 5 - on time, courteous, professional, skilled, expedient. I needed to complete a move with short notice, which required making arrangements over the weekend. Despite first contacting Safe Ship Moving on Saturday afternoon for a Tuesday full-home 3600 sq.ft. move, I felt taken care of every step of the way. Never did anyone say “this can’t be done!” It was an efficient operation and I would 100% recommend Safe Ship Moving.

Since I wrote my review on 2/5/25, I received a response from Safe Ship wanting to work with me to resolve my issues. I spoke with Jessica ** (customer experience specialist) who was able to resolve my concerns and have the money I requested for damages reimbursed. I feel a little better about my experience with them, but there is still a lot of room for improvement with their pricing strategies and vetting reputable movers in my opinion.

I had an outstanding experience. From start to finish, their team was professional, efficient, and incredibly careful with my belongings. They arrived on time, worked quickly but diligently, and handled everything with great care. Not a single item was damaged, and they even went the extra mile to make sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it. Their communication was excellent, and they made the entire moving process stress-free. If you’re looking for reliable and hardworking movers, look no further I will definitely be using them again in the future!

Everything was fine with the process. I do have two suggestions. When one places their order they speak to one person but then later it’s a different person and in my case there were three people who eventually were helping me. While they all did their job, each has a unique personality that comes through over the phone. So I felt very comfortable with the first caller Liam. He was very patient and thorough. The others were good but I felt less confident because I needed clarification and eventually got it but I think my lack of confidence was because 3 different people handled it whereas had I just stuck with Liam I would have felt secure. So maybe one person handles a move order from start to finish?

Omar was very helpful and accommodating. He provided contact info and was careful with wrapping items. He is continuing to assist me with finding a driver which will be arriving close my arrival in Los Angeles to avoid a long wait for my items. Both of the men which were at the location acted professionally and I would be happy to recommend this service to friends as long as I receive everything in good condition and in a timely manner.

The pick up and all the coordination was very nice, communicative and smooth. However, the price is a scam. The day before in the final inventory they told me I needed a bigger truck and the price doubled. Originally I was paying almost $4k and it went up almost $8k. When they finalized the pick up, the truck was very empty. So it was unnecessary thus all that extra money was unnecessary. The people working are all super nice and reliable is the surprise last minute price that is awful and you can’t back down. Thus, for this reason I don’t recommend it.

The movers were FANTASTIC!! They did such a great job wrapping everything! They were professional, courteous and helpful!!! I would highly recommend and definitely use again!! They all worked together and had the job done very quickly! I have moved several times and this is the very best experience I have had!!

Communication was mostly on point, the movers got to my old address a bit later than originally anticipated. They loaded everything up quickly and carefully. I would have preferred if they would have responded Friday to let me know they couldn't deliver but them showing up on Saturday to unload was fine too. Overall the experience was great.

Andrei and the Azimuth Group did a wonderful job helping me pack up for my CO to CA move. Not only were they able to come a bit earlier than anticipated they were efficient, kind and caring. Exceptionally helpful and thorough. I would highly recommend them and this team to handle your next move!

My original estimate was not even close to the final quote. I entered that I had 2 5x10 storage units plus listed items. The original estimate did not reflect the cost per square foot of the 2 units which was what made the final estimate so high. When quoting the estimate, the representatives only read off the numbers. I had to stop them to get the actual dollar amounts. The final representative was giving the final quote, I had to stop her to clarify the amount. I said, "Wait. You mean $526.xx?" She said, "No $5,26x.xx." I was stunned! I don't even remember the entire final quote because my brain was trying to keep up with her delivery. Her delivery was so cavalier and nonchalant.

Arrived on time, prepared to get to work. The three guys worked great as a team. You could tell they had worked together many times. Each individual had their area of focus, but jumped in to help each other when help was needed. The point person who communicated with me was very professional. Very pleased with the result!

I am beyond frustrated with my experience. They promised a delivery window of 7-21 days, assuring me it wouldn’t even come close to 21 days. Here I am, over 30 days later, still waiting for my belongings! I’ve had to call them every single day for updates, and every time I was met with vague responses and zero accountability. It’s clear that they have no idea where my stuff is, and frankly, I feel completely ignored.

I cannot explain how satisfied I was with my packing experience. They were exactly on time, flawlessly put the truck in my tight driveway/neighborhood, surveyed the house, adjusted box counts/sizes, completed the paperwork, and got to work. The 3 men (sorry I don’t remember your names) but you should be recognized by your company for excellent service! They were very nice and professional to both me and my dog. I was able to tuck in the back room and continue working, switched to a front room when they cleared it to continue on with my work essentially uninterrupted. My expectations were by far, exceeded.

I have moved at least 10 times and several times cross country. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had and I would never use this broker. I expected the final dollar amount of the move to be higher but over 2 1/2 times higher than the original quote and didn’t know until three days before the move happened. Their contracted company ciao Bella provided me with over $3000 of extra insurance that I paid for to ensure full replacement value of anything that was lost, broken, etc. When my things arrived here out of storage, several things were broken two major art pieces were stolen or lost and I’ve been offered less than $200 which is not full replacement value.

All contacts from scheduling through pickup were great. Jesse followed up waiting 3 hours until we were home and could complete necessary paperwork work. He was great to work with. Keith followed up and unfortunately had to make a significant increase in price (doubled original quote) but provided reason for the change. The men who came to wrap and move parts to their van were efficient and professional.

MD Interstate Movers were great and professional. Did my move in one day with the 7 hour trip. They setup all furniture fast. Packing was great and did not see any marks on furniture. I would recommend them for another move. I am very happy this team did the move. They also was able .to make it to my second stop and putting the rest.of.the boxes.

Jackson Movers Inc. was great! They arrived on time. They were very kind, professional, swift and careful. When I had questions, they answered them in full and double checked everything. If anything came up on their end, they would always make sure I approved. I would recommend them to my friends and would use them again.

I have been very happy with my service from Safe Ship from the first introductory phone call. Excellent service and all that was discussed came together. No hidden fees or extra charges. I would like to give a shout out to the Team who picked up my items. I was leaving a bad relationship and my Ex came in during the move. He was very angry about a dresser I was taking and I almost called the police. My brother came right over and stayed throughout. Your Team remained calm and professional and I am grateful for them.
