Safe Ship Moving Services Reviews

They hired some of the worst movers $17,000 could buy, just to start off. They hired Rigos Delivery to handle our move and they were a nightmare to deal with. Disrespectful and trying to charge us more at every turn (even though we already got charged more "just in case" by Safe Ship themselves). They only had to pack up a living room and 1 bedroom and they were RUDE, and complained at every turn.

I strongly advise against using Safe Ship Moving. This company is predatory and engages in deceptive business practices that are blatantly fraudulent. When I first spoke with them, they lied over the phone about their refund policy to secure my payment. They assured me I would be eligible for a refund under specific conditions, but after I paid the deposit, they completely changed their stance and refused to return my money, over $2,000—despite NEVER PROVIDING THE SERVICE.

We had a horrific experience with Safe Ship Movers of Boca Raton. We had pictures of our 10'*15'storage unit and an exact count of the number of boxes we were moving. They estimated a $2,900 move cost, but then called us a few days before the move, only to then double the cost of the move based on the same pictures and information that the estimator had for a month. Elizabeth, who called, claimed that The pictures we sent to Tyler a week before Elizabeth called Actually showed 750 cubic feet of moving stuff rather than their (Tyler's) estimated 350 ft. We ended up cancelling and moving ourselves in a 428 cubic foot Penske truck which was only filled Halfway!

We contacted Safe Ship on 10/9/24 to request an estimate for an interstate move from NY to VT. We had been impressed by their "veteran owned" status and the positive reviews on their website.. They "inventoried" our household goods over the phone by having us go from room to room and describing all items to be moved. After completing this 2+ hour process we were transferred to their customer service dept. We were given an estimated cost of just over $17,000 based, in part, on an estimated load weight of 17,000 lbs. We were informed that the quote included a $2000 discount -- "good that day only."

Updated on 03/14/2025: Everything the company wrote in response is untrue. Someone reached out and promised a discount and then they have mot upheld it. It's been 11 days since I was told to be there because my items would arrive. Two days after posting this I was promised a discount and my items would arrive Thursday or Friday. It is jarring how disorganized Safe Ship is and lack of communication. Now I've been told no record of discount and they have yet to schedule my delivery.

It was a great experience. There were no issues and the movers were polite and very hardworking. All of my items were handled with care. They were specific and detailed with all of the paperwork. They made the moving less stressful and very manageable. I would highly recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again.

This company continuously changed the price throughout the process. I was informed a 75 dollar fee at pick up then it turned into 300 at drop off. I was informed the drop off would be 2/3/25. The drop off ended up being 2/21/25. I’m not saying this is typical but they were a complete waste of money and time for me. They couldn’t have paid me for a positive review.

Do NOT use this company. They use shady business practices like quoting a low number that they have no intention of honoring. We attempted to use this company for our January move. They quoted 22k for full service and after a rude hang up by them and a call back, they said 10k. Still high as our previous move that was the same distances was only about 3k but understandable since that was 10 years ago. We went over things. Told them there was going to be a lot of boxes along with itemized furniture. They said they'd talk about the boxes later and they'd get us a big truck. We gave them a 4.5k deposit. Come to the week of the move, they call to recap inventory and we give them a specific box count. Our price is now 22k again. Surprise!

Buyer beware! This is not a good moving company. They use bait and switch. Give you a reasonable price then double that price after your cancelation clause is over. Good luck trying to reach someone once they have your money. They charge twice as much as other companies but you find this out too late.

They showed up promptly, verified all information and cleared everything out quickly and carefully. I hope to use them again whenever I get the chance. As a disabled person I couldn't ask for better help.

Outstanding job! They were on time, efficient and very communicative. There was a 3 man team and they worked tirelessly for 5 hours. Customer service has checked on me throughout the process and confirmed each step of the way. Each person I dealt with was professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend to anyone moving across the country.

This company was quick to take my money and deposits. But now that I've had a partial delivery I'm still missing my $10k wheelchair. No one from their office will call me back. They screwed over a disabled vet. I don't have the money to replace it and they refuse to do anything or acknowledge any liability.

They were fantastic, polite, professional and thorough. I would hire them again. They arrived on time and they were done very quickly. They also actually provided me. This is my drop off date. Great service all around. Built from the company I called and the movers. It was top notch.

The movers and the customer service were all very professional. I appreciated their ability to do move me out of NJ and to VA in less than three days doing everything very efficiently and effectively. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone moving across states or locally.

My auto got here in perfect condition. Stuff was packed very well with only a couple inconsequential things were broken. I have to say I have moved at least 10 times and this by far is the best move from the packing to driving across country to the unpacking. The only thing that changed this from a five star to a four star was they needed more people. On the packing they had to call in another person and on the unpacking. They only had two people so all the things that they were supposed to do on a white glove move was not able to be finished. They got my main stuff done. The movers on both ends were fantastic. Couldn’t say enough about them.

Short move, very happy!! Vasyl and Ihor came to our home and packed everything for us. We moved 5 miles so they also unpacked in the same day. Everything was packed and wrapped so well that there was no damage. They were friendly and nice. We would use them again. Thank you!!

This was a very smooth move. I was called several times to make sure we were all on the same page, and the driver called when he was an hour out. They were well within the given time frame and were very efficient. All my furniture was treated with care-- wrapped with blankets that were well secured. My piano was very well wrapped and I'm sure will arrive safely.

The whole process was easy. The company was very flexible and the entire move was very straightforward. It was very affordable and the moving team was very efficient and took great care of my belongings while loading the moving van. Safe Ship communicated with me very promptly and concisely during the entire process. Would definitely recommend their services.

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. We had a horrible experience with this company. Beware of price hikes up until your belongings are delivered to you. Make sure you have extra insurance to cover your belongings separate from this company. Don't believe anything you are told because their word means absolutely nothing.

Talk about life savers! Not only did Happy Wheels Moving respond super quickly and send the movers exactly when I needed them, but they were also incredibly adaptable to demand. I accidentally left my passport in one of my drawers while it was being packed (I leave the country this Friday), and they went above and beyond by pushing up my delivery date to my new address—two states over—just to ensure I could retrieve it in time for my trip. I will most definitely be using them again, and I cannot recommend them enough!

Moving from New York to Pennsylvania seemed like a huge task, but thanks to Safe Ship, it was a breeze! The movers were organized, efficient, and treated my furniture and boxes like their own. The pickup went as smooth as possible! The movers called the day before to confirm pickup time range and then called me again the next day to let me know they were an hour away. When they arrived, everything was explained extensively, including paperwork. This helped ease my anxiety as I have never used movers before. The movers were friendly and exceptionally efficient. They thoroughly & carefully wrapped our furniture and loaded it plus the boxes.. Probably in less than an hour. I am greatly satisfied with the pickup movers!

I was very happy to find someone to ship my family belongings from Gardena, California to Orchard Park, New York. Bryce was wonderful on the phone explaining everything to me allowing a great deal of time for questions and encouraged them. He made the transition from paperwork to actual pick up of the belongings, very smooth.

The crew I worked with were absolutely wonderful and professional. They were excellent and had great customer service. They handled everything as if it were their own belongings and truly helped me. They offered assistance when placing items of furniture. They were fast, while at the same time they were very cautious. They were courteous as well.

Pickup experience was GREAT!! The crew were on time! Extremely deficient and organized. Explained how they were going to handle moving the furniture just made the experience easy and stress free! Super unethical company. Was quoted for a move after reviewing all necessary items for the move. Days before the move date I received a call to review all the items again and suddenly the price doubled. Being days away from the move I had no choice but to pay. Feel so taken advantage of.

I have never been more dissatisfied or displeased before in my life; especially with an organization that "says" they are veteran friendly. I've never been ignored, yelled at, hung up on or felt like I was a bother to someone I'm paying money to, that is actually supposed to perform a service for me. I would NOT recommend this company or their sub United Way Movers because they will take your money, better yet, demand your money upfront, treat you like trash, damage your goods and not bother to repair them. I found this company through the Consumer Affairs site, I would recommend removing them and United Way.

What a waste of money! There’s no reason to use a broker but somehow I got sucked into the scam. I’ve moved cross-country 3 times without one and saw no difference in the experience except for my bank account. I see no added value in using this company or any broker. They take your money and are gone after a couple phone calls. Avoid a broker at all costs!!

Moving is very stressful but Safe Ship made it easy. It was just a quick phone call and then the next week the crew came. My things arrived to my new location safe and fast. I am impressed with this company and will recommend to anyone for their moving needs! Thanks again!

The entire crew was quick and efficient. Everyone was friendly and helpful as well during the entire process. The manager of the crew helped me out during the process and made sure I understood every step during it. Everyone was gentle with my things and made sure it was well protected.

**** This company if you even can call it one. Initial consultation they quoted us based on the items we provided was $3100 in which we explicitly asked the sales rep if this was our take home price and he confirmed. Get a call one week before move in to "confirm dimensions" that we were never even asked about in the first place... Hit us with a huge markup and blamed us because it's "more space" bringing the total to $5500 AFTER they had already collected the deposit. Made my wife cry and put my family in a huge bind. Thanks SafeShip real quality company. Coming from a family of veterans you should all be ashamed of what you do to people.

In December 2024 I used Safe Ship to move from Florida to my hometown up north. I went online and it looked like Safe Ship had good reviews. The sales rep worked through the moving process. We agreed on a price as well and I paid a deposit. Please note the movers would move my things to Florida border and then my belongings would get picked up by a long-distance mover. My things, which were mostly smaller items and clothes, were given a inventory numbers at my Florida apartment. They were moved and stored in a Florida warehouse until a distance mover was found. It took more than a week and I didn't know where my things were being held.

I was so impressed with their services. They are so punctual arrived on time. They demonstrated exceptional professionalism in carefully packing and wrapping my furniture and everything. Their efficiency was so impressive throughout. I would highly recommend. Thank you so much for making my moving experience so easy and seamless.

The three guys were very polite, considerate, and showed respect. Could not have asked for better. Packed everything up tighter than a banjo 🪕 string on a Saturday night.😂. Absolutely awful customer service. First of all, the initial employee we talked to (Christian) lied about a truck being in the area the day before we are supposed to move, and when pickup was scheduled. NOW, it is two days before our move and we get a call that they cannot pick up until the day we LEAVE LATE IN THE EVENING. We leave in the MORNING. Instead of assisting us with this issue, the two customer representatives we spoke to said “There’s nothing we can do.” They then proceeded to tell us that an employee can say whatever they would like to get a sale. So this lie about the truck being in the area to get our stuff the day before we left, total lie. Also, it is mind boggling that an extra 10 boxes (SMALL) will run up an extra 1k. We took them off because at that point, we’ll ship them via mail. What an awful experience.

Today a very efficient and fast moving crew from Reliable Van Lines/Safe Ship Moving Services did a fantastic job of packing up and moving my home. Thank you! Would definitely use this service again!

This is absolutely the worst company I have dealt with. From the first quote I received from my salesman to the final almost doubled. (moving from Az to Tx) The 2 men who showed up to pickup my item were actually very nice and did a good job wrapping up and securing my furniture. They told me my delivery date would 2/13/25 and then put a date of 3/8/25 as the latest date (I stated absolutely not on that, I need my furniture and my clothes ASAP as I’m starting a new job on the 22nd). The gentleman told me that date was for my safety that if something happened and I was unavailable for my items that they wouldn’t start charging me storage until that date. So I called yesterday to see the ETA for my delivery and they told me it would be as late as 3/8/25 as they were waiting for another load to add to it.

My family contracted Safe Ship to move us from Oklahoma to Maine. Originally we contracted for 11,000 cubic ft of space. A few days before they said the person who wrote our manifest didn't do it right and that we needed 17,000. To keep our rate we had, we had to pay the different right then. Then when they got here they couldn't even get 11,000 cubic ft on the truck. When we called the representative was extremely rude. So we were out a LOT of money, had to rent U hauls because they couldn't get everything on the truck we paid for, AND the customer service was the worst we have ever experienced. If we had it to do again we wouldn't have used this company. Whatever you do. Go somewhere else for a big move. They may be more expensive at the quote but by the time Safe Ship is done you will spend so much more that the others are cheap in comparison.

We hired movers for our heavier items. Safe Ship customer service was very helpful in giving a clear quote and worked with my timeliness. (2days notice) Walter and his crew feom Cobra Vanlines were amazing, efficient and very professional. They arrived within the timeliness provided and made the move easy and stress free. Highly recommend.

Horrible experience. I hired them for a huge move and they did a horrific job. They told me the movers would be delivering next day by noon and no one showed up until the evening and done if my furniture was broken. And damaged. When I called they were rude. They have terrible customer service and fail to communicate properly. I would not use them again.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I called Safe Ship to have a move taken care of super quick. They quoted me for 5k. They assured me they would pack everything up, store it for 24 hours on a truck to the new location, and then unload it. This was a complete fabrication. First of all, they told me the wrong truck size after I had already given them size of my house and the items in it. Then I asked about keeping it on the truck for 48 hours since there was some time issues between the closing of the house and when I had the key. They said they would never store items on a truck for 24 hours to begin with. I asked how that was possible since I was assured that it would be on the truck for a minimum of 24 hours. They said they would take it to a storage facility, but then I would be charged for an entirely separate move to move it to the house. This means my move would not be 5k as originally discussed, but 15k.

All the staff I spoke to at Safe Ship were very kind and helpful. I never felt as if I was forgotten about or ignored, any issue or problem was resolved quickly and explained thoroughly. The movers were kind and moved everything quickly and efficiently. They were obviously very experienced and kept everything professional.

I would have given 5 stars, however it’s taking them least 2 weeks longer to deliver our belongings; I’m sure due to these winter storms. There was one guy, 1. He was quick, professional, went the extra mile to be sure we stayed within our budget for such a sudden move. He was extremely careful loading and stacking our belongings. Did I mention quick? It took him less than an hour to load up. Many blessings to this company!

The movers were kind, respectful, and moved my items quickly, efficiently, and with care. It did end up costing me a little bit more for the extra long haul steps. They took extra care with wrapping up my bed frame. Overall, it was a great experience! I would definitely use them again and refer friends and family!

Everyone was great except for one person who did not know what she was talking about. She was too busy talking rather than hearing. I’m still 100 percent happy with this move. I use to be in the moving business in the late 70s and 80s. I’ve moved many people cross this country. Things seem different today (better). I miss it watching these young kids loading my stuff. I’m 70 and those days are over for me. Thanks for everyone that participated in this move except one.

The moving people were amazing to work with and made the move quick. They were very respectful and made sure we were notified when they were arriving. They also did a great job being careful with our stuff and stacked the stuff in the truck very well. I would recommend this to all military families who are moving.

My advice to whoever is reading this make sure you have the correct items on your list when they pick up to avoid any additional fees. That way everyone is happy.

The team that came and picked up my belongings were great. All three men were professional, personable and polite. They listened to my concerns about my dining table and wrapped it with extra blankets. They definitely knew what they were doing. Overall they did a great job. It went quicker than expected.

Everyone was friendly. All was on time and all went smoothly. When discussing on phone or those I met in person everyone was friendly and very courteous. Pickup of my goods also went very smoothly and the gentlemen explained each paper I signed. If the need arose I would choose to use Safe Ship again without hesitation.

The movers showed up when agreed upon. They were helpful and polite. They picked up and delivered my furniture to the correct address a put together the things they took apart when they moved the furniture. A very good experience for moving. The only thing I had a problem with was when they delivered my loveseat when they put it together the recliner doesn’t work.

The only real issues I had was I was originally told a Monday pick up when speaking with the people I booked same day with, when they called me "24 hours before" I was told Tuesday so I had to move around some appointments I had set up with having been told a Monday pickup. Not a HUGE deal but rather annoying. I was also told that the movers would be calling me 30 minutes before they were going to arrive and they called AS they were pulling in but they spoke VERY little English so it was difficult and we had to revert to texting for them to be able to use translation.

Rating 5 - on time, courteous, professional, skilled, expedient. I needed to complete a move with short notice, which required making arrangements over the weekend. Despite first contacting Safe Ship Moving on Saturday afternoon for a Tuesday full-home 3600 sq.ft. move, I felt taken care of every step of the way. Never did anyone say “this can’t be done!” It was an efficient operation and I would 100% recommend Safe Ship Moving.

Since I wrote my review on 2/5/25, I received a response from Safe Ship wanting to work with me to resolve my issues. I spoke with Jessica ** (customer experience specialist) who was able to resolve my concerns and have the money I requested for damages reimbursed. I feel a little better about my experience with them, but there is still a lot of room for improvement with their pricing strategies and vetting reputable movers in my opinion.

I had an outstanding experience. From start to finish, their team was professional, efficient, and incredibly careful with my belongings. They arrived on time, worked quickly but diligently, and handled everything with great care. Not a single item was damaged, and they even went the extra mile to make sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it. Their communication was excellent, and they made the entire moving process stress-free. If you’re looking for reliable and hardworking movers, look no further I will definitely be using them again in the future!

Great service, would highly recommend. Pick up went well. We will see how everything goes on the delivery side. Easy to book the service. Very accommodating to schedule change requested. Packers contacted us about delivery time. All around professional and friendly company and subcontractors.

Everything was fine with the process. I do have two suggestions. When one places their order they speak to one person but then later it’s a different person and in my case there were three people who eventually were helping me. While they all did their job, each has a unique personality that comes through over the phone. So I felt very comfortable with the first caller Liam. He was very patient and thorough. The others were good but I felt less confident because I needed clarification and eventually got it but I think my lack of confidence was because 3 different people handled it whereas had I just stuck with Liam I would have felt secure. So maybe one person handles a move order from start to finish?

Omar was very helpful and accommodating. He provided contact info and was careful with wrapping items. He is continuing to assist me with finding a driver which will be arriving close my arrival in Los Angeles to avoid a long wait for my items. Both of the men which were at the location acted professionally and I would be happy to recommend this service to friends as long as I receive everything in good condition and in a timely manner.

I highly recommend this moving company. We had to make a last minute decision when hiring them and they were able to accommodate a next day moving team! When we called customer service they were very helpful and kind. They were great at communicating and explaining everything. They were careful and thoughtful about how they protected and packed our belongings. Overall, a wonderful service!

The pick up and all the coordination was very nice, communicative and smooth. However, the price is a scam. The day before in the final inventory they told me I needed a bigger truck and the price doubled. Originally I was paying almost $4k and it went up almost $8k. When they finalized the pick up, the truck was very empty. So it was unnecessary thus all that extra money was unnecessary. The people working are all super nice and reliable is the surprise last minute price that is awful and you can’t back down. Thus, for this reason I don’t recommend it.

The movers were FANTASTIC!! They did such a great job wrapping everything! They were professional, courteous and helpful!!! I would highly recommend and definitely use again!! They all worked together and had the job done very quickly! I have moved several times and this is the very best experience I have had!!

Communication was mostly on point, the movers got to my old address a bit later than originally anticipated. They loaded everything up quickly and carefully. I would have preferred if they would have responded Friday to let me know they couldn't deliver but them showing up on Saturday to unload was fine too. Overall the experience was great.

Andrei and the Azimuth Group did a wonderful job helping me pack up for my CO to CA move. Not only were they able to come a bit earlier than anticipated they were efficient, kind and caring. Exceptionally helpful and thorough. I would highly recommend them and this team to handle your next move!

My original estimate was not even close to the final quote. I entered that I had 2 5x10 storage units plus listed items. The original estimate did not reflect the cost per square foot of the 2 units which was what made the final estimate so high. When quoting the estimate, the representatives only read off the numbers. I had to stop them to get the actual dollar amounts. The final representative was giving the final quote, I had to stop her to clarify the amount. I said, "Wait. You mean $526.xx?" She said, "No $5,26x.xx." I was stunned! I don't even remember the entire final quote because my brain was trying to keep up with her delivery. Her delivery was so cavalier and nonchalant.

Arrived on time, prepared to get to work. The three guys worked great as a team. You could tell they had worked together many times. Each individual had their area of focus, but jumped in to help each other when help was needed. The point person who communicated with me was very professional. Very pleased with the result!

I am beyond frustrated with my experience. They promised a delivery window of 7-21 days, assuring me it wouldn’t even come close to 21 days. Here I am, over 30 days later, still waiting for my belongings! I’ve had to call them every single day for updates, and every time I was met with vague responses and zero accountability. It’s clear that they have no idea where my stuff is, and frankly, I feel completely ignored.

I had a great experience with this moving company! Mark ** and his team did an amazing job—super professional, fast, and careful with all my stuff. They showed up on time, packed everything securely, and made sure nothing got damaged. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

I cannot explain how satisfied I was with my packing experience. They were exactly on time, flawlessly put the truck in my tight driveway/neighborhood, surveyed the house, adjusted box counts/sizes, completed the paperwork, and got to work. The 3 men (sorry I don’t remember your names) but you should be recognized by your company for excellent service! They were very nice and professional to both me and my dog. I was able to tuck in the back room and continue working, switched to a front room when they cleared it to continue on with my work essentially uninterrupted. My expectations were by far, exceeded.

I have moved at least 10 times and several times cross country. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had and I would never use this broker. I expected the final dollar amount of the move to be higher but over 2 1/2 times higher than the original quote and didn’t know until three days before the move happened. Their contracted company ciao Bella provided me with over $3000 of extra insurance that I paid for to ensure full replacement value of anything that was lost, broken, etc. When my things arrived here out of storage, several things were broken two major art pieces were stolen or lost and I’ve been offered less than $200 which is not full replacement value.

All contacts from scheduling through pickup were great. Jesse followed up waiting 3 hours until we were home and could complete necessary paperwork work. He was great to work with. Keith followed up and unfortunately had to make a significant increase in price (doubled original quote) but provided reason for the change. The men who came to wrap and move parts to their van were efficient and professional.

MD Interstate Movers were great and professional. Did my move in one day with the 7 hour trip. They setup all furniture fast. Packing was great and did not see any marks on furniture. I would recommend them for another move. I am very happy this team did the move. They also was able .to make it to my second stop and putting the rest.of.the boxes.

My pickup experience was easy and efficient. The scheduled time for pick up was changed twice within 24 hours of pick up. Then the movers arrived about an hour after the window for arrival. Once they arrived, the movers were friendly and careful with my belongings. I Highly recommend this service!

So far, everything has gone very well! There were 6 guys to load my boxes I packed and then they wrapped all my furniture very carefully. They were all very friendly and a great group to help us on a very stressful day! Moving is stressful, but they made it easier for us by always smiling.

I used Safe Ship Moving a couple of months ago to move cross country. They were easy to work with, but be wary of the third party company they hire to do the actual move. They used Perfectly Fast Moving for me and they could barely speak English which made it difficult to communicate during the move. They also increased my price about $1500 due to apparently going above the quoted space. They couldn’t really explain how the allotted space was calculated so it seemed kind of arbitrary. They showed up at my new house with no notice. They lost about 10 different items during the move, luckily they found most of them in their warehouse and dropped them off a couple weeks later but a few things were never found. There was damage to my dining room table and chairs as well as one of my couches which was “determined to be acceptable for the move” so I wasn’t compensated for them.

We had a scheduled appointment and advance call on the day of the move. The crew blanketed each piece and shrink wrapped each item with care. They moved each piece carefully out our front door without any damage or scratches. We are very pleased with the service provided.

The 3 man crew that picked out belongings up were very efficient and nice. We really liked the main guy, very down to earth and thorough. Customer service over the phone was excellent as well. If we decide in the future to move again we absolutely will be contacting safe ship. We also would recommend them to any friends or family.

This was the first time I’ve ever hired people to help me move and this was such a positive experience that I will likely be returning again in the future. The team as a whole is incredible attentive and quick to answer question or address any changes. I found the heavier boxes on top of the lighter ones, so it is making it difficult to unpack them. Also, some of the boxes were upside down (even with arrows on the box). Furniture was put in backwards. An example of this is a dresser was put in the bedroom with the drawers facing the wall. My larger TV has no power cord connected, and as I am pretty much useless when it comes to anything electrical, I am still trying to figure out which cord goes where (and there are a lot of cords)! And since the boxes were put away in a manner that I do not know which box has what.

So far so good. I will do a final evaluation when the delivery is completed at the destination. The team was very professional and efficient when they did the packing. They called several hours before they arrived telling us when they planned to arrive. They then arrived at that time. They were friendly and careful and considerate with the work.

Pickup crew was wonderful. Prior to that, the final walkthrough was terrible. Dylan was unprofessional and tried to charge me 2500 more than my Original quote for what he perceived as 100 cubic feet more than quoted because he didn’t have box springs listed. I know I told Andrew box springs. And Dylan said he could pull the recording of the call and prove me wrong. I told him to review the recording then because I am 100% sure. Andrew asked if I had box springs and I told him yes! Was so Disappointed with Dylan as someone in sales and customer service. He then began blaming the intake form and putting down his teammates.

I recently contacted Safe Ship Moving Services for a quote on a move from my two-bedroom townhouse to a three-bedroom house, 139 miles away. While their veteran-owned status initially impressed me, their response to my inquiry raised serious concerns about their pricing practices. To test their honesty, I deliberately inflated my quote from other companies, stating I had received estimates around $6900. Surprisingly, their representative immediately countered with a price of $6400. This was alarming, as legitimate moving quotes for this type of move were closer to $2800.

Do not use Safe Ship services. They are just trying to get money out of your pocket. Staff has no professionalism when it comes to talking over the phone, and they berated other companies for no reason.

The 3 movers came in today early and ready to work. I came in prepared with all their stuff. Wrapped up, stacked up and escorted all my furniture into the truck. Without any damage. They all, were very friendly and fast and efficient, ensure do their job, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Safe Ship has been very helpful. The only issue is that the movers said I had about 100 sq ft more space than figured because my furniture was bigger than what Safe Ship estimated. Was a little surprised. I’ve heard that sometimes that movers may ‘exaggerate’ sizes. I’ve never had movers before, so just curious.

The driver arrived with only 45 minutes’ notice, was unaccompanied, and left our belongings on the sidewalk. To make matters worse, he drove off with a box of our clothes and other items.

Ms. ** engaged the services of Safe Ship Moving Services and made a deposit of approximately $4,000. She mistakenly believed she was dealing with a different company at the time of payment. Upon realizing her error and requesting a refund of the deposit, Safe Ship responded with a refusal and abruptly ended the call.

I had a great experience with moving day, everyone was professional, efficient, detail oriented and courteous. I would definitely use this service again. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!! They took my family's original $10,000 quote and marked it up to $16,000 five days before our move! That's a 60% increase... Then, they claimed it was our fault because "we didn't give them the full list" the first time. That is a complete lie, this is just the way they hustle people when they’re vulnerable. Safe Ship is NOT a moving company, they're a "broker." This means they reach out to a carrier (actual moving) company and then pretend to do extra work. All they are doing with the other moving company is the same thing you spent time doing with Safe Ship. Then, they markup the actual move quote way up and that's how they make this business. I actually can't believe it's a business in the USA, especially with all the "veteran-owned" marketing they do.

Anthony was such a pleasure to work with. He was communicative, on time and very thorough. I was very impressed and overall had a wonderful experience. The extra hands hired to help load and unload the truck were also excellent and very hardworking. I would highly recommend First Class Movers.

I still can’t justify a 4 or 5 star rating but the pickup in NM was fine and he customer service was great, so my rating is for the delivery service in TN.

Cobra Van Lines was the mover and packers. They did an excellent job, would definitely recommend!! They came on time, packed everything neatly and left as per schedule. Safe Ship was excellent as the brokers as well. They also helped with clearing up some trash in the place. The pricing was also extremely transparent and competitive.

Fantastic customer service. Very professional and helpful with answering questions. However I have an issue with moving company that picked up our goods. Professional until the end, job Foreman tried getting us for an additional $12,000.00 then said if we pay cash he would cut it to $4,000.00. We settled with credit card of $990 but at wrong rate which Safe Ship caught that we were charged incorrectly. The moving company tried scamming $12,000 grand from us. Not okay

They were very personable, explained everything and took good care of items being packed. They wrapped and taped all furniture pieces. They packed some of my snake boxes in a large box. They were very careful packing my Tiffany lamps. Dario explained all the paperwork before having me sign. They told me the things would be taken to a storehouse and I would receive a call 1-2 days before delivery. So far I am pleased. I did not like that they couldn't take the money order as I had made it out to Safe Ship.

They came on time, and also make sure they pack my stuffs nicely and cover them with special blanket. I was impressed. They were very gentle with my stuff. They were very attentive when I was talk to them. They were not in hurry at all. For sure they were professionals.

Our movers were great! They were very quick and took care of everything and gave us a heads up when they did need something from us. They gave us a heads-up and a chance to box some stuff ourselves rather than charging us for them to box it. They also put a lot of effort into packing our stuff tightly to save us on extra square footage in the truck.

I was quoted $6,000 for my move. 3 days before the move I was required to do a "quality call" with them. The result was a new price of $24,000 for the same move. The worst possible result and the worst possible time. A complete bait and switch. Do not trust Safe Ship!

Highlights: Our move was postponed several times between Thanksgiving and the New Year. The individuals we dealt with by phone we amazing, patient, knowledgeable, and flexible. They were very accommodating. Challenges: The cost more than double from the original quote to the final payment. Very stressful. Final payments were complicated because of the third party approach.

We just had our things picked up to be moved across country and the company has been awesome so far. They answered all of our questions throughout the process and made our move as easy as possible. Our sales agent along with the customer service team were both extremely helpful, as well. Would definitely recommend them and use the company again in the future.

Started out great. Our movers were wonderful!! Courteous, friendly, hard working, respectful. We adored them. But after that things went from bad to worse. Our stuff was picked up on Thursday 12/26 and as of 12/31 we still do not have our items and haven’t heard from the company as to when we will receive them. I will not recommend this company to anyone. It takes too long to get your stuff. The worse part is when we asked them will we get it right away they implied we would, even though it can take up to 7 days. We were told that we will get it sooner. Contracted with Safe Ship to move furniture my son inherited from his grandmother’s house in Upstate NYS to his home in Austin. Has a great experience. Furniture arrived safe and sound and on time. We did not need to move a vehicle but they offer those services too and based on this experience I would recommend for that as well.

I spoke to Andrew or Alex ** who swore everything would get delivered and how outstanding they are.. Moving from Ventura, California to Johnston, Rhode Island. My name, address and stickers on boxes. They brokered my stuff to RIGOS DELIVERY AND MOVING. 2 young guys came and wrapped up my stuff, 1 2 piece couch,1 full size mattress, 4 small end tables and a sm bench for the end of my bed.10 med-small boxes, 2 large and 3 med. bins. Period!! They charged an extra 450.00, said I took up too much space??? Wth!!

The gentleman that packed our stuff was very professional and efficient. He kept us updated on his ETA with plenty of notice and arrived within the estimated window. We are extremely angry and disappointed with Safe Ship Moving. We are missing boxes, personal items and medication. We’ve called movers to no avail. Move was done over 30 days ago and still have not received missing items. If items are not delivered in 5 days, we are calling the Better Business Bureau for immediate action.

The 2 guys that came were great. Took the time to wrap everything securely and were very professional. Was not told ahead of time there would be a $75 penalty for stairs at the delivery destination. The supervisor took the time to walk through paperwork to make sure I understood everything and that my delivery address was correct.

They came and wrapped everything very carefully and also took apart some things so they would not get damaged. Nice guys did a very thorough job. After wrapping and padding everything was loaded onto the truck. Afterwards they left with everything and I fly back to Florida. In a matter of days they let me know they were on their way to my Florida address. They came unloaded and unwrapped everything. They put the furniture exactly where I wanted it. The whole move went very smoothly. There was no damage and the company was in contact with me thru the whole move. I wouldn’t even hesitate to use them again.

These guys were awesome! They packed everything quickly and protected things well. They got our stuff from Washington to Oregon in one day! They unloaded us quickly and were polite and pleasant to work with. Great job first class movers!

Everything went very well with the pickup, the drivers were very helpful and made sure that everything was properly loaded on to the truck. Very professional experience, that's all I really have to say about it.

For the first time in my life the movers not only showed up on time but early! I had allotted a few hours for them to pack and collect my things but they were in and out within 1. The team lead was very personable and transparent. Will use again if I move back.

The movers were very thorough and professional. Everything was packed quickly and safely. They showed up on time, had all materials, tools and knew how to use their materials. I would recommend this carrier to a friend and I would use them again. The price of the service and the work of the movers made this a pretty painless event.

These guys are incredible. They genuinely care about your satisfaction and aren’t looking to squeeze every penny out of you that they can. Extremely professional and efficient. I’ll be sure to hire them when I need to move again.

Don’t not recommend. There is no communication between them and the moving company. I was charged in additional 2000 plus by the moving company. The move was from Florida to Arizona. For your sake stay away from Safe Ship!!!

The moving personnel were extremely courteous and helpful. They kept me informed the entire time. They were careful to make sure they were doing everything I needed them to do and did it fast. I hope I don’t ever have to move again but if I do these gentleman are the ones I would want to do the job. They were wonderful!

Started of great, booked and got everything set up. The moving company showed up, Oasis, no clue who it was going to be, I "assumed" they would only use reputable moving companies. We had a quote for a 3 bedroom house, had to move our things to a storage unit, closer to the freeway, less drive for them and a 10x10 unit. They charged us an additional $5,000.00 saying we had more things, no we did not, we downsized, at this point you cannot argue since they had all of our belongings loaded, with our help.

I’m moving my father across the country to Denver, and selling his house. We originally were going with PODs who was the worst experience ever, they decided not to deliver the pod without telling us. We found your company and you guys came to the rescue and movers were there the next day at the time they said. Reliable and stress-free!

The sales rep was pushy and did not want to provide the quote to be valid for longer than the time we were on the phone. The movers added small charges all along the way with no itemization. Upon pick-up, we were told that items would be reassembled in the correct rooms. The team who unloaded denied this service and did not arrive at the property until 8:30 pm and unloaded until after midnight. For those with children or elderly, these hours are completely unacceptable. Following the pick-up, I was again high pressured to complete THIS form with phone calls and text messages as though I had nothing else to do in the middle of a move with elderly parents.

Arther was AMAZING! He is the reason I am writing this review!! He moved everything BY HIMSELF because they had some issues with their truck so his other 2 movers had to do that. He was so professional, kind and helpful. He is seriously the best mover me and my boyfriend have ever had. He deserves all the recognition and more. I hope this review reaches his company!

Great experience. Very good attention to detail and good follow through. Everything was wrapped well and handled with care. The move ended up costing a little bit more than the estimate, but this is why it is called an estimate. We also needed to tip the movers but this was also expected. I highly recommend Safe Ship Moving Services.

Customer service was excellent. Called before arriving. Packed everything carefully and no damage to any items. Made accommodations for something that was not on the list and went the extra mile mile to ask if I needed any help unloading my personal vehicle due to items being heavy for me.

Safe Ship is an outstanding moving company. Their representatives are knowledgeable and professional. They communicated with me frequently through the contract process, providing thorough documentation and great care for my property and peace of mind.. They have been readily available to answer my questions and the pick up was on time and efficient. I was very satisfied with all aspects of the move so far. The gentleman were quick and efficient, kept me in the loop regarding what they were doing and cost. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning a long distance move. They also cleaned up tape, packing material etc before they left.

Movers were excellent! Safe Ship was good, but not great. Cost was extreme! The cost kept changing. They don’t ask enough questions in the beginning to give a very good estimate. Then they only give 48 hours to cancel. Satisfied with the movers, but not with Safe Ship. Thank you.

Updated on 01/03/2025: My review that was posted on Dec 19th is now marked as updated "resolution in progress" Beware of this company!! They buy their reviews and when someone post an honest review of how bad they are, they try to buy them off. Although they wrote to me on Dec 19, Stating, "To address the concerns you’ve raised and demonstrate our commitment to making things right, I am pleased to inform you that the moving team will be refunding the shuttle fee in full. Additionally, as a gesture of good faith, Safe Ship Moving will be refunding $1,409.67 directly to you."

If we ever have to move again, they would be my first choice. Superb service. We had an issue with dates, but it was handled with courtesy and professionalism. I would highly recommend this company for any move.
