A friend of mine recommended Roadway Moving to me, and I got ahold of them. We were moving from New York to Miami. I had furniture and personal belongings, tables, musical instruments, a lot of books, computers, and a large bed, but it was medium-sized. It's just one and a half person living where I was in New York. The moving coordinator was good. Communication was almost constant like updates by text message. Overall, it was a very good experience. They didn't break anything, and they packed up things in a very sophisticated way, keeping me updated during the trip. I was surprised how the communication was very good. It was proactive rather than reactive.
The moving crew was very polite and respectful. They seemed to know what they were doing when you watch them packing up a TV, for example, and they took a cardboard, and they folded it in a way that just becomes like an original Samsung box. I don't know how the hell they did that, but they did it. The lead time when they're gonna get there was a little bit TBD, but it's 1,500 miles away, so they need to be a little bit flexible with that, too.

I went with Roadway Moving for my move from SF to LA and I could not be happier with my decision! The idea of moving in such a tight time frame was really stressful but the Roadway Moving team immediately brought me so much ease as soon as I got on the phone with them. They were extremely flexible and communicative throughout the entire process. When the team came to pick up all of my boxes and furniture, they were so efficient and got the job done in a timely manner. They were really careful and gentle when packing up my furniture, which I appreciated so much because the furniture I was bringing with me was valuable.
They also helped dismount my TV, which would have been a huge headache to do myself. The delivery team in LA was also amazing - they brought in all of my boxes to my apartment and helped place them in the respective rooms they needed to go into. They also helped reassemble all the furniture that was delivered. Mario was super friendly and gave us a lot of insight into LA and it was a pleasure speaking with him! Also, every single item came in perfect condition, which was such a relief and goes to show how careful they are with your boxes. Again, this move would have been impossible without Roadway Moving and I can not recommend them enough!

Great care and attention to detail, Roadway moved my partner and I to SF from Chicago. Delivery arrived faster than expected. Both ways the movers took great care of our things, making sure everything was packaged securely and labeling everything with barcodes to ensure all of our items made it to their destination.

I was moving out of state and I used Roadway Moving. Everything went well with the moving coordinator. I had to add more stuff, so the final payment changed, but everything was fine. Delivery was okay, and the driver was good. Overall, everyone was friendly. Everything was great. The move was wonderful. I was satisfied with the price, too.

My experience with Roadway Moving was great. They’re a small, independent, privately owned company, and they were very communicative and had a good price. I worked with Alexandra and she was great. She emailed back quickly, and she was clear, and the costs were what they said they would be. It was good. The movers were awesome and great as well. They were very thorough and also careful. They were a little more expensive, but worth it. I'm happy I went with them.

I was looking for full-service options and called a few options, and Roadway was the cheapest. The rep was easy to talk to and very helpful. He was trying to win my business. There was a mismatch of what he originally quoted, though. He gave me a certain number, but after the Roadway Moving guys came over and saw the content of my house, they tried to increase the price, saying it's more than what was originally negotiated. I called Roadway’s sales again, and they were able to go back to the original quote. It would have been nicer if the price that was originally quoted with the sale had been fixed, instead of having that uncomfortable renegotiation when the crew came over. Roadway markets itself as a transparent, fixed-priced company, but that was a little bit rough to go through.
The moving crew was accommodating and went above and beyond. But I wish there was more transparency on the tipping. The movers preferred cash but I didn't know exactly if it would appear that I wasn’t tipping the crew if I tipped on the tablet. It was a little bit confusing. But Roadway was great to work with and I recommended them to a family member of mine recently.

I found out about Roadway through social media. So I reached to them and I had a good experience with the moving coordinator. The only thing is that it's a little overpriced. It's expensive. They just moved my items and helped me pack.

I had an incredible experience using Roadway to help me move from the East Bay (Berkeley) into San Francisco. After months of having my belongings in storage and living out of suitcases, they carefully packed up my entire storage unit and transferred it into my upper-level San Francisco apartment. The men were super intentional with ensuring that fragile items were re-packed, if needed, to ensure that they'd be safe during transport. Everything arrived damage-free, and they even took the time to arrange my items where I wanted them, organize my boxes for me, and re-build any furniture. Plus, they did it so fast -- they completed my move in just under 2.5 hours! This was the easiest and most stress-free move that I've ever done. I can't thank Roadway moving enough for how easy this entire process was, and I will definitely be using them for my next moves!

The Roadway team are super quick, super professional and super friendly! They shipped my items safely from California to Delaware. No breaks, no damage, no fuss! No muss! 10/10 would recommend! The team came in at about 2pm and had everything done and packed up in the van by 3pm. When the items arrived to Delaware they delivered to a storage unit overseen by my sister. They were diligent and accounted for each item and made sure everything was moved and stored appropriately. They were also super polite with my family and sweet to my baby nephew who kept getting in their way. He likes to run and around and scream lololol but they took extra care around him and allowed him to enjoy himself while keeping things safe and quick. They were a pleasure to work with.

Roadway was suggested to me by my ex-boyfriend's wife. They worked really well. But then, at the end, they were like, "We're gonna have to charge you extra, or you can just tip us out." They forced me to basically tip them into not having any extra payments. I had to pay the mover $400 on top of my moving expenses. Otherwise, he basically threatened me into saying that I had to pay more. He said he would go to the company and tell them that it was more work than he expected and that I would have to pay hundreds of dollars more. Otherwise, I could just tip him $400 and call it a day. The company overall is a good company. But the movers that I had are a 1-star.

Tipping should always be voluntary, and no customer should ever feel pressured to provide a tip in order to avoid additional charges. Any adjustment to the cost of a move should be clearly explained, properly documented, and handled through Roadway Moving, never negotiated directly in this manner.

I’m extremely satisfied with my experience and it was significantly better than my previous experiences with other companies. First of all I was surprised the estimate didn’t change with the final cost which is a common issue with moving. The team was very communicative. The movers were thorough, careful, but fast!

I did a little research and I met someone who used Roadway Moving and found that they were great. And it was true. The service was exactly what the rep said it was gonna be. The two guys were friendly and flexible. Things changed a little bit, but it worked out well. I would use Roadway again and recommend them to anyone. But it's not inexpensive, so if you don't have to move anything very valuable, you could use someone else. But if you have stuff that's valuable and you want your move to go well, you should go with Roadway.

My wife suggested Roadway Moving and when I dealt with the reps, they were good. The move was probably two miles, a straight-line distance to New York. The movers pointed out things that weren’t on the estimate, and I ended up tipping them about $500. They have this little thing going, and other moving companies in New York do it too. They get there and say something isn't on the estimate, and if you tip them a little more, they'll move it for you. The movers themselves were nice guys, and they did a good job. But I’d give my experience a rating of 4 just because the estimate is off, and then I had to haggle with the movers.

We moved across the country and got there in a good amount of time. Roadway Moving was a great company and we’ll use them again if I ever need to move. The rep who helped plan the move was very timely with everything. He was a nice guy and answered all my questions. The moving crew was excellent and quick. Everything was good when everything arrived. They unloaded and rebuilt everything. The experience with Roadway was easy and stress-free. They were cheap and handled everything with care.

Probably the easiest move I have ever done and it was from Pittsburgh, PA to Los Angeles, CA. The crew was awesome which made it a much better experience. Highly recommend for anyone moving across the country or even for local moves.

Great experience. The company is super communicative before and after the move so you know what to expect on moving day. I opted for self-packing so all I had to do was request Roadway boxes and fill them up. The movers handled the big stuff (mattress, wardrobe) and brought everything down an 3 floor walk up. They were super efficient and professional. Highly rec for a move

This is my second time using Roadway Movers and I'm blown away yet again! The team arrived promptly, packed everything up and moved everything so smoothly it was such an enjoyable & stress-free experience. The movers are always so kind & professional, taking such care of each item and they truly respect and listen to their customers. My husband and I recently used Roadway Moving for our local move and had a really great experience with Antonio and Jack. They were friendly, professional, and made the whole process feel a lot less stressful. They took great care of our things and made sure everything got moved safely. They wrapped all of our furniture, packed our wardrobe, and handled everything with care. They also went above and beyond by helping us unpack some things and set up our rugs and smaller items in the new apartment. Having them help with those extra things took a lot off our plates and made moving day run much more smoothly. Roadway Moving had better reviews online, and seemed a bit more premium. We used them for two moves. We did one local move within Brooklyn, so it was very close. We later used them for getting some furniture from Boston to New York. They were good. I liked the moving crew a lot. They're very good and very strong. They did a lot faster than we could have done it. During the move, I was not at either location, and one item was forgotten in Boston which was probably my stepdad's fault, but they went back and picked it up for no extra charge. That was nice. They said, “It was our fault, we'll take it.” I said, “Okay. Great.”

I saw the reviews and decided to go with Roadway Moving. Adrian, the first person I spoke with, was great, and the communication was easy. We did a FaceTime with a coordinator for the inventory and quote, and it was straightforward. I was surprised, though, that the original quote and the final cost were quite different. Although it was reasonable, it could have been clearer. It seemed to be based on square footage or cubic volume, but it was hard to tell.
The best part about using Roadway was that they never dragged anything, even if it had wheels. They covered the wheels and lifted everything, which was what we wanted and were happy about. Usually, with other movers I’ve used, they roll anything that has wheels. The movers were extra careful with packing, so it was a little slower than I thought. It was very thorough, and some of them were even unnecessarily careful, but I understand that. It took about eight hours to pack, even though we had packed most of our stuff ourselves. The packing and unpacking were still very helpful.

I chose Roadway Moving based on the services they provided and the cost. My move was from Dallas to Houston, which was about 300 miles, and I also needed overnight storage for one day. The rep was very helpful, especially since I had a lot of changes. The expectations she set were also very accurate. On moving day, the crew was very helpful and efficient. They seemed very prepared for both pickup and delivery. Overall, it was a great move, and I would recommend and use them again in the future.

Roadway Moving has been fantastic for my family on two separate occasions. The first time I used them was during an apartment move, and I was honestly blown away by how seamless they made the entire process. The movers were punctual, careful with every item, efficient, and incredibly professional from start to finish. Moving is usually stressful, but they made it feel easy.
After such a positive experience, we hired them again to help move couches and furniture between three different locations for my family. We Google searched the most trustworthy movers in New York and Roadway was at the top of every list. I did some research on the website and then got a quote. The rep had me walk around my apartment. I didn’t have that much I needed to take with me but it also changed. So, I called back a couple of times and he changed it for me whenever I needed to add or take something off. So, it was super easy. He was very helpful and made me feel very reassured because I was very stressed out in my move. He made it seem like the whole process was gonna be taken care of.
The moving day was great. The movers called me when I was expecting them to come. They also helped me take apart some furniture that I wasn't taking with me and bring it downstairs. It was super helpful because I didn't know how I was going to get some things out of my apartment. They were super nice. They also helped me put my couch back together with the arm on the opposite side, because that's how it looked better in my new apartment. It ended up taking longer than it would have otherwise. I kept telling them it wasn’t a problem, but they were determined to finish it for me. It probably added about six hours with all the back and forth. They spent a lot of time trying to make my life easier. So, it was awesome. I literally didn't have to touch anything myself. Even when I tried to, they would say they got it. So, I didn’t have to stress about anything. People should use Roadway.

I haven’t heard a single person say movers were not worth it so I knew I had to hire a moving company for the next stage in my life. The team made my moving anxiety disappear the second they came. They were super kind and professional, Roadway came and unassembled my furniture for me. They even retaped my boxes for me so everything was secure. I moved out of my studio the same day so they even made a second stop for me. We started at 9am and we were done by 3pm and I was blown away by how fast they were.
