I’d like to thank PODS for making our move seamless. Their drivers are willing and able to go above and beyond without being asked. I couldn’t appreciate this service more. Our lives were stored in 2 17ft PODS for over 2 years and everything was just how it should be! Thank you for all you do!

I had a contract with PODS for a drop off and relocate container. I was at my location the morning of drop off with my phone at 9:00am. My window was 9am-noon. I contacted Pods at 1:45 PM to question delivery. I was informed that the driver attempted to call at 10:45 as he was at the location. There was no one that showed up at my driveway and I did not get a call. I then tried to reschedule for the next day and was informed that Pods did not service my area. I am left with no storage for a move I need to do this weekend. The Customer Service person apologized and let me know they would not service my area.

I would not recommend this location for storage or moving needs. My husband and I are renovating our home, so we reserved a POD to be dropped off, filled and picked up 2 days later for storage. The experience was horrible. When the driver arrived to drop off the POD, they called me to confirm location, I provided information and showed them where to place it. Once the POD was in place, the driver called back stating that he was unable to place the POD down because a tree branch was in the way and that he could leave it there but that he would rip up the tree next to the POD, I asked him to please NOT damage the property and see if we could move it around to get the machine out safely, the driver responded "it wasn't his job and he would just rip the tree out, that's not his problem".
I again informed he did not have permission to damage the property and that I had confirmed that site with customer service, the driver then responded "it's your own fault for listening to customer service, they don't know anything and that he wasn't leaving the POD and I can call them to complain he had things to do". He then hung up on me. We then called customer service, but I received a call from the driver's supervisor, once I explained what happened, the supervisor stated "well it's raining and the driver has 6 other jobs, that's why he responded that way". The supervisor then instructed me to go outside and speak to the driver myself and show him another location to place the POD, I explained that I wasn't comfortable with that, due to the conversation I just had with the driver and that I am 8 months pregnant, the supervisor didn't care.
In today's economy, paying for a service like this isn't easy and not cheap, and if a customer makes a decision to spend their hard earned money with a business, you expect good customer service and value in the service. I called customer service afterwards and all I asked for was for a call from the site manager and never received a call. These people do not care about customer service, they just take your money and move on. I would not use this business/location again.

This was an absolutely horrible experience. To start, the hours of operation at the PODS centers is extremely restrictive and inflexible. Then when I went to pick up my POD, they refused to take it out because they said closing was at 3 pm and it was 2 pm so I was too late. I told the guy that I would come back the next day. However, when my movers got there the next morning, the PODS center there was no one there.
After waiting an hour (and yes, I paid them hourly), one worker showed up and told them that my POD could not be accessed today because I had not given them a 24-hour notice. To make matters worse, he used derogatory language to describe me. After 2 hours of my movers begging to get my stuff, the guy finally caved but insisted that he yell at me on the phone first. I tried to talk to customer service and got terrible service. Ultimately, the whole experience was extremely traumatic and as a young woman who just moved across the country alone, it made me extremely uncomfortable.

Pick up and delivery was great. We got calls before they arrived and when they came to pick up. I would definitely do it again (if I had to!).

Worst company ever. Moved from Boise Idaho to Austin Texas. Upon arrival in Texas several boxes and items were missing. The company could ABSOLUTELY CARE LESS. They told us "file an insurance claim." Insurance company wants pictures of stuff that was stolen. (As if we have pictures of clothes-dishes, vases, and furniture and other household items.) WE are just being given the runaround because they have corrupt thieving employees who steal your stuff and they don't want to be held accountable. Better to rent your own truck and do it yourself and not let it out of your sight.

I used Pods for both moving and storage services and found their pricing to be quite compelling compared to other companies. I booked the service over the phone, and the representative I spoke with was very helpful. I opted for a 16-foot container, which was the perfect size for my needs. The interior of the container was clean and satisfactory.
While I did not interact with the driver who dropped off the container, the individual who picked it up was very nice and friendly. Overall, my experience with Pods was excellent, and I would highly recommend their services.

I first heard about Pods when I saw a commercial, and I liked the idea of having a storage container delivered to my home for convenient packing. I was moving out of state and needed a flexible solution since I was staying with a friend for a couple of months before my move to South Carolina. Initially, the customer service was excellent, and I signed up for the service. However, I was unaware of the extra fee for choosing a specific delivery time.
The delivery of the pod to my home was smooth, and the representative was very helpful. But when it came to accessing my belongings, things took a turn. The lack of clear directions at the storage facility and miscommunication about appointment time led to a very frustrating experience. I had a hard time locating the storage facility as it was not properly marked, and I was upset that there was no one available to assist me during the scheduled time. Eventually, my brother had to help me open the pod due to its improper placement.
While the actual transportation of my belongings was handled well and nothing was broken, the entire experience was marred by poor customer service and unexpected fees for delivery scheduling and transferring the pod locally in South Carolina. Despite paying over $3,600 for the service, I felt nickeled and dimed for several aspects of the process, which I believe should have been made clearer at the outset. In the end, while I'm satisfied I received my belongings intact, the customer service left much to be desired.

I recently used PODS for my storage needs and felt reassured in my choice because I had friends who had positive experiences with them. The customer service representative I initially spoke with was fantastic and very proficient, making me feel confident everything would go smoothly. Although there was a one-day delay with the drop-off due to a snowstorm, it was managed efficiently, and the driver was courteous and accommodating, ensuring the container was placed exactly where needed.
The only hiccup was not initially realizing the need for a right-of-way permit to place the container on the street. However, this was quickly resolved with the city, and everything worked out fine. My only suggestion would be to emphasize this requirement more prominently during the setup phase. Throughout the process, communication regarding drop-off and pickup was mostly consistent, though there could be slight improvements. At times, the email and text updates differed slightly in terms of timing, which wasn't an issue for me but might be for someone with tighter schedules.

Their advertising made them the first company I thought of, and I contacted them over the phone. The representative I spoke with was friendly, informative, and direct, which I appreciated since I value efficiency and straightforwardness. I requested an 8-foot container, and the driver was also very professional and efficient. They explained everything thoroughly, were punctual, and gave me advice on the safest placement for the container. I was impressed with how matter-of-fact and helpful they were. I recently used PODS for moving to a different house, opting for their 16 ft container. Previously, I had used U-Haul, which was very hectic due to its hourly rental system. With Pods, I appreciated the convenience of being able to move at my own pace over a whole month. The pickup and delivery process was incredibly simple. The driver was knowledgeable and clearly communicated the container's requirements, which was very helpful as my driveway was too short. The driver positioned the container close to the curb without any issues.
I managed everything online, from getting a quote to placing the order, which was seamless. If asked by friends or family, I would definitely recommend Pods based on my positive experience. I chose PODS after seeing it advertised on TV, as it suited my needs at the time. I used their moving and storage service. The booking process was straightforward; I used either the Internet or the telephone, and once I understood their system, it was not difficult. However, everything is managed centrally, which means I couldn't communicate directly with the local facility, even though it was less than a mile from me.
A significant issue I encountered was the weight limit for the large pod I rented. They provided a maximum weight limit, but there was no clear way to determine if I was within that limit, as there was no method provided to weigh the pod. Upon pickup, I asked how much it weighed, and the employee mentioned that, despite working there for several years, he had never weighed a pod. This inconsistency between instructions and practicality was frustrating.
Regarding the quality of the pod, it was satisfactory. It held all my belongings with no issues such as water damage, and the structure was sturdy. While it met my needs, the price was fair, and I would consider using PODS again if needed. Overall, I'd rate my experience a 3 out of 5.
I would recommend PODS to address the weight measurement issue either by providing a way to weigh the pod or removing that requirement altogether. This caused unnecessary stress during moving, as I was unsure how to ensure compliance with their weight restrictions.

I lived in a very large community and I saw neighbors using PODS. I used an 8-foot pod to transport my belongings from Florida to Oklahoma. Booking could be a little bit easier but I was able to get somebody on the phone to answer my questions. They gave me a quote and I told them to send me an email. And they sent me one with the quote. When I called back to book it, the person said he could even give me a little bit better deal because they need people to get pods out of Florida. Because everybody's moving to Florida, they have an abundance of pods so he gave me a little bit of a discount. So, that was very nice. There was one company that was a little cheaper, but their pod was smaller, which was why I went with PODS. So, it was fine.
The pod was clean and excellent. The door was a little bit difficult to roll up and down but I'm not exactly the strongest person in the world. Other than that, the pod was fine. I was very impressed with the process that they used to pick it up and keep it level as much as possible. The quote was spot-on. Exactly what they told me it was gonna cost is what it cost. They even had to store it for me for a little bit. They had to drive through snow in bad conditions. I even thought on the way that I saw my pod go by, which was cute. The website was great and helped a lot in terms of knowing what time frame my pod was gonna be delivered and picked up. From the beginning to the end, the customer service, the delivery, the pick-up, the delivery in Oklahoma, the pick-up at Oklahoma, I can't say enough good things about PODS. Every person I dealt with was so nice.

I recently needed temporary storage and chose to use Pods because I had used them before. Booking the service online was straightforward and hassle-free. I opted for the largest pod available.
The delivery process was also very smooth. The driver not only informed me in advance but also placed the pod exactly where I wanted it. While the pod wasn't brand new, it was in good condition with nothing technically wrong. Its sturdiness met my expectations.

I recently had an experience with PODS during a challenging time, as I needed to move my mother's furniture from Maryland to California after she passed away. Initially, I considered renting a U-Haul, but the cost would have been over $5,300 including lodging and fuel for the cross-country drive. Instead, I decided to explore PODS, and it turned out to be a much better option.
The representative from PODS was fantastic. She provided a quote of around $5,100, which was more affordable and eliminated the need to drive such a long distance. The 16 ft container we used was ideal for transporting the contents of my mother's two-bedroom apartment, which would have otherwise required a 20 ft U-Haul. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. The PODS drivers were professional, and everything was handled with care and punctuality.
I was impressed with the PODS container's condition. It was clean and well-maintained, reflecting their attention to quality, despite being used multiple times. Although there was a minor issue where one item got damaged during the move, it was likely due to my packing choices rather than the container's fault. Overall, my experience with PODS was excellent, and I even left a positive review on Google, something I don't often do.
In summary, PODS made a difficult process much easier with their reliable service and excellent customer support, and I would rate my experience as a 5.

I recently used PODS for a move and had a positive experience with their service. Initially, I set up the first POD mostly over the phone, but for the second one, I handled it online since I was more familiar with the system. The customer service was very positive; everyone I interacted with was helpful and knowledgeable. We decided to use PODS to move some items preliminarily before the main house move, which helped to get a lot of our belongings to the new home in advance. This made the final moving process smoother since the movers could focus on securing the more delicate items. I used PODS for moving primarily because it was cheaper than other options. I booked the service over the phone, and the customer service was generally good. They answered most of my questions, but the representative forgot to tell me that I'd need a lock for the PODS container. I only realized this oversight after speaking with another representative later; I had to purchase one myself. However, their pickup and delivery service was excellent. I used PODS for moving briefly stored belongings for about two weeks before having them delivered to a storage unit. I chose PODS because they were accommodating and flexible. It was convenient having the container on my parents' property, where I could load it at my leisure, and then have PODS transport it for me. I didn't have to worry about driving, gas, or tolls. Also, the drivers were friendly and helpful, explaining everything thoroughly. They confirmed exactly where I wanted the pod placed, checked for any sprinklers or plants to avoid, and were very accommodating.

I recently used Pods for storing some belongings during minor construction work at my house. Pods was a familiar name to me, mainly through their advertising and seeing their containers in neighborhoods. The booking process was straightforward and could be completed entirely online, which was very convenient.
I requested a 14 ft container for a month, though I ended up needing it for just two weeks. The delivery was hassle-free because Pods informed me in advance about the clearance space needed for the container. This allowed me to prepare adequately by arranging to have some trees trimmed beforehand.
Upon arrival, the pod was clean and easy to use, meeting my expectations.

In the beginning they were great! Later I found out you have a pick up fee! I called to let them know that I did not have the fee in my account and please stop debiting my account. I gave them a day I would make payment. Customer service stated they will do that and wait for me to call in payment. But what happen they still debited my account the day before, I was going to call in and make payment and removed my car note payment!!!! When I called to complain, they put me on hold for over 15 minutes! And when someone did come back on the phone, she said, "Well, we already have the payment so what's the problem!!!!" I HAD AN AGREEMENT WHEN I WAS GOING TO PAY!!! No more PODS FOR ME!!!!

Had a very strong smoke smell inside the pod and the door latch was out of place such that when latched the seal barely contacts the floor which will likely allow wind and water past the seal. The floor of the pod was also contaminated with oil. Delivery and pickup went as planned.

Made the move a lot easier. Loading and delivery then unloading and then pick up was all beyond what I expected. Hopefully this was my last move but if I need you again I will definitely use PODS. I needed storage for a few weeks while waiting to move into another home. PODS was accurate and reliable and called when they were on their way to deliver POD and pick up POD then again to deliver and pick up POD from new location. All interactions with the drivers were great. Very nice and professional. The pricing was fair and really helped with all the moving expenses that occur. The website is efficient and user friendly. Items were moved from storage to home without incident. Some confusion about moving blankets (rent vs buy, then not initially on the truck) caused inconvenience but was resolved. Unload crew was fine. Too many emails with action required. POD equipment could be upgraded, especially the tires on the Podzilla. No damage, good packing helped, and the unload was timely and professional.

Moved from Phoenix to Port St. Lucie. PODS was really easy to use and everything arrived as expected. The Pod drivers were all very good. We used 2 pods and the time we rented was reasonably price. Convenient to use the website where you can change dates of arrivals and departures of your Pods. Highly recommend using Pods especially for cross country moving!

We used 6 PODs over three months and were very happy with the service. The drivers are very professional and represent the company well. The flexibility of being able to stagger the deliveries and pickups was a big help. Our move cost less than half the lowest mover quote. The Albuquerque operation was extremely efficient and I’m glad to hear they’re adding a Santa Fe location. We will definitely use them again.

Using PODS was an excellent solution to our moving needs. We needed time to have work done in the home we purchased in another state, and had sold our existing home quickly. PODS enabled us to move our household out of our old home and store everything until we were ready to move into our new home. Deliveries and pickups were easy to schedule and occurred on the times and dates specified. The delivery and pickup personnel were friendly and helpful. The driver who delivered the unit to our new home even helped me get the roll-up door open, even though he had to lie in the snow to reach in and free an item that was blocking the door. Overall, we were very happy with the convenience and cost of using PODS to complete our move.

My driver for the delivery of my POD was very friendly, wanted to ensure the POD placement was to my satisfaction and generally extremely helpful. The driver called and let me know when to expect him and that I did not need to be there for delivery, The POD was placed quickly and to my satisfaction.

I recently used PODS for my move, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the entire process. From start to finish, everything was seamless, and I highly recommend their service. The booking process was easy, and I appreciated how clear and transparent the pricing was. The team delivered the POD right to my driveway exactly when they said they would. Still no refund from either PODS location in OK or AR for unused time. I was charged a full month in OK… A few days later the POD went to AR and few days later the POD was sent to my new home in Gentry, AR. I was told when I booked the move that I would be refunded the amounts not used.

I think PODS is a great way to store things if you can afford their prices. The drivers have all been courteous, friendly and efficient. I just found that moving my things to a local storage unit was easier for me to access my things at almost half the price, in this last year's economy I just couldn't afford to stay.

Moving to another state is stressful. So many details. PODS did their part to not add any stress to my move. On time, courteous, and reliable. The contract is reviewed with the customer before signing and it easily accessible throughout the moving process. And watching the Podzilla work was pretty cool! Only downside is the crazy high cost. Basically, they did what they said they would do when they said they would do it at the prices they said they would do it. No delays, no damage, all the drivers were careful, informative and friendly. The pods were clean and water/snow proof (we had both rain and snow to deal with). Things were moved 2200 miles with no issues. Things were great. I did see critical reviews of the phone customer service and communication clarity could be improved but the initial ordering was great. Prices were quoted clearly and were accurately. The MyPods web portal was extremely useful. Yes, I'm a fan and would use them again in a minute.

Our entire experience with PODS ran very smoothly. Ordering the POD was very easy, it arrived when promised, and the machinery to position it where we wanted it was very impressive. We had it for 2 months to store items while a renovation was taking place. At the end the removal was just as smooth as the delivery.

I was very happy using PODS for a move for the first time. I've used professional moving companies and lost $5000 worth of stuff. I've done U-Hauls and driving a large uhaul can be annoying and stressful. I was constantly worried someone would break into it, or I'd crash as people drive extra crazy around uhauls. Using a pods eliminated that. I knew my stuff wouldn't go missing in transit and the drive to my new house was mostly stress free. I did have problems with getting weight tickets, but it all got figures out. I also wish they had something bigger than a 16' trailer as that would have been perfect.

We did a quick move into a house and had to downsize a lot. Used the POD to store household goods as we moved into the new place. When the first pot was delivered everything was okay but after that everything went haywire they dropped apart and dropped it out into the parking lot which was not even in the driveway of my home. Left it there for 2 days then when they brought the pods out to the new home they positioned them in a way where it was hard to access getting stuff out of them. They did not pick those pads up from the new home until 4 or 5 days later after it was due for them to pick up because they said that they could not grab the pot at its grabbing points which I find hard to believe but it was very chaotic. And when it came to giving some of my money back they thought they could give me bad service and keep all of my money. How arrogant.

Initially, navigating their website was a bit frustrating as it only provided a ballpark estimate. However, speaking with a representative on the phone was much more helpful. They were accommodating when I had to change my moving dates multiple times, which was relieving as they did not charge me extra for these changes.
For our move, we utilized two 16-foot containers and one 8-foot container as we combined belongings from two different apartments. The containers themselves were sturdy and exceptionally clean. The drivers are always courteous and accommodating, ensuring everything runs smoothly during pickups and deliveries. What impresses me the most is their recognition of individual needs and their willingness to accommodate them. However, I feel their phone service could be improved, particularly the method of communication through texts, as it often feels cumbersome. There seems to be some mix up about this claim. It has been extremely frustrating that the claim is translated through several people instead of direct communication. If anything this has been a constant frustration with PODS customer service. In fact, when the first pick up date came the driver told me he was rescheduling for Saturday, a couple days later because it would make no difference. I did not request this and argued with him about possibly getting a charge for doing so and he insisted (in front of witnesses) that this would not be the case per the contract. His response was that they would never know and he already rescheduled it. Since you were closed for the Holiday I figured he knew what he was talking about. Of course then I was charged and I had to fight that.
The customer is told one thing by agents/workers and the company says another and holds you to a contract signed prior to anything going amiss. Your employees should not be giving direction if they have no authority to do so. NOW, THIS CLAIM IS NOT ABOUT RESCHEDULING. It was not rescheduled by me. IT ALSO WAS NOT OVERFILLED. When I alerted POD S that the door was stuck I still had two days until pickup. I still had items to put in the container as the front 1/3 was not packed on top.
The door jammed on a piece of plastic at the top back of the roller.. We could see this by putting a phone camera under the door. I reported this immediately in the early morning hours. No one came out until the next day. The person who came to un-stick the door did not know what to do. He put a stick in and that didn't work. He told me to have someone else come out so I did. I commented that this could not be the first time a door stuck and was very surprised at the lack of knowledge as to how to address the issue.
The next person - the following day - tilted the pod. This did not work. They started scaring me telling me they would probably use a forklift back at the storage to force it open and that I would have to entirely repack the pod (I already had repacked it twice paying labor both times). This method concerned me as my contents were fragile.
They said they didn't have the knowledge or equipment to do anything but they would "on the other end and the best thing was to send the pod for delivery and let them take care of it in SC, that they had the equipment". He told me to ship the remainder of my things or that the company might send another POD for the remainder of my things. When I called the office they said to ship my items and I would be reimbursed. The cost to ship was way cheaper than sending another POD, so I agreed to this method. I had to leave several items behind that could not be shipped.
Finally, the POD was delivered without event and I requested the delivery guy open the door. He tilted the POD and the door was pushed open by myself and him. The difference was he left the POD tilted while the door was opened. The guys in San Diego did not know to do this. They kept putting the pod back down in the original position and tried to open the door that way - right back where originally was.
This just seems like incompetence to me. I have a picture of the plastic if you need to see it. Such a flimsy piece of material for such a hastle. If your customers knew how delicate the mechanism is they would certainly think twice about using them. The removal of the plastic did not damage the door mechanism in any way.
In addition to the over $600 postage fees and me having to abandon some of my possessions, the person driving my car across country had to fly back to MN due to me not being able to leave on schedule ($$ plane ticket) and my sister had to fly out to help me drive the car across country (another last minute $$ plane ticket).
I am only asking for the cost of postage to be reimbursed at this time, as indicated by your agents. The matter has repeatedly been discussed with agents because I had to keep following up for any response. They kept confirming "not to worry, I would be reimbursed". But now I get some denial based on overloading the POD? I think not. This is just an easy conjecture on your part to get out of the claim. There is no basis for it. The guy who first came to open the pod could not get the door open so he has no first hand knowledge of what was in it, nor the second one. Please take care of this matter before I have to publish the unfortunate episode and ask for the resulting damages on top of the postage cost.

My mattress and dining room table was damaged by water that must have leaked in from the bottom of the POD. They were NOT like that when I loaded the POD in FL. The mattress served as a dam to stop the water from going further in the container. My claim was DENIED by the insurance company. I am at a loss of what to do with these 2 damages. I am VERY upset and disappointed.

Everything started off OK with the exception of a driver who would not listen to reason and tried to do a 180 in the driveway causing some damage to the lawn and completely blackening the driveway I just had cleaned for the house sale. The next step was finding a home with 3 separate locations, Florida, Arizona and Texas, Rio Grande Valley. Well the price to Florida was reasonable since it was close to North Carolina. The house fell through in Florida, and we switched to Arizona. The Price went up a little and was still reasonable. We then decided on Texas and went house hunting and rented a condo to hunt. We paid the storage in North Carolina. The price to move to Texas was absurd. It went WAY up. I questioned the price and couldn't get a straight answer. I also couldn't understand some of the operators on the phone. English was the 2nd language.
Our info was deleted off the order and we spent some time trying to get it reinstalled. It was never explained. Emails were also sent to us and would disappear overnight. So we did receive our home goods and I did unload everything undamaged. Still I would search for all other option next move or rent a Penske Truck like I've done in the past. The best part of the whole experience was the drivers on the destination end. These guys were very good at what they do.

On the day of delivery, the driver refused to drop the container even after I was on the phone with a supervisor from the home construction division. Despite having ample space in our driveway and yard, the driver was hesitant and seemed to lack the experience necessary to maneuver the container safely. Instead of working with us, he sped off, leaving us in a lurch.
After a long wait, we were told that another truck could come the next day, but this would involve additional charges. We were initially reassured that the costs would remain the same, yet our experience was marred by confusion and unexpected charges. Despite assurances from the billing department that we would receive a refund, we found ourselves facing additional fees, including a shocking $1,000 charge just to access our container. The delays continued, with our container arriving late, and the lack of communication from PODS only added to our frustration. My wife, who is fully disabled, had important medications in the container, and the entire situation caused unnecessary stress and chaos during a time when we needed assistance the most.
To make matters worse, we hired a moving company recommended by PODS to help us move our belongings into the container. Three days later, individuals from a company called "Hire Helper" unexpectedly showed up at our door, demanding payment for services we had never requested. They pressured us into signing something under duress, which left us feeling vulnerable and exploited.
Overall, our experience with PODS has been overwhelmingly negative. The lack of professionalism, miscommunication, and unexpected charges have led us to conclude that we should have chosen a different service. We would not recommend PODS to anyone considering their options for moving and storage. This experience has taught us to be wary of companies that do not prioritize customer service and transparency. We hope others can learn from our mistakes and avoid the frustrations we faced.
**Continuation of PODS Review: A Disastrous Experience.** Following our initial ordeal, we received a call from Johnny in Clearwater, Florida. He assured us that a payment plan could be arranged for the unexpected charges that had been thrust upon us, despite our app showing a zero balance. We had already paid everything required, yet the confusion persisted, largely due to the actions of an inexperienced 22-year-old driver in New York. This driver, unwilling to use the remote control to place our container on our spacious lawn, chose instead to drive off without properly notifying dispatch, even as we were in the process of signing a waiver.
Johnny promised to ensure a citywide service would follow us to Tampa, but this unfamiliar service only resulted in further delays and complications. The lack of coordination and transparency meant that my packing time was significantly reduced, forcing me to leave valuable belongings at the curb. The situation escalated when my diabetic wife, Kristine, ended up in the hospital. Her spare medications, accidentally packed into the container, left her without necessary supplies. With no immediate medical coverage in our new location, this oversight had severe implications for her health. Despite having paid $569 for services, we were hit with additional fees totaling $119, and as of today, January 4th, we received a call demanding an additional $400.
This entire ordeal has been profoundly unprofessional. Even the citywide driver, upon finally arriving, questioned why the initial driver couldn't have simply placed the container on our lawn or driveway, agreeing that it should have been straightforward. His bewilderment mirrored our own frustrations. The lack of proper execution and constant miscommunication left us without essential furniture in our new apartment for weeks. Originally, we were scheduled to arrive in Tampa by December 15th, but the delivery was delayed until the 28th, with additional delays extending into the new year.
This experience has felt akin to being held hostage, both financially and emotionally. Forced into accepting a service we didn't want due to the inexperience of a young driver, we were left feeling robbed and vulnerable. All the marketing promises made by PODS fell flat in the face of our reality. The stress this situation has caused, compounded by my wife's medical emergency, is something we will never forget. We urge anyone considering PODS to look elsewhere. This experience has reinforced the notion that sometimes convenience comes at too high a cost. If you value your belongings, your time, and your peace of mind, steer clear of PODS and consider more reliable alternatives.

In conclusion, while our overall experience with PODS has been fraught with difficulties, the professionalism exhibited by Louis during the final leg of our move was a bright spot in an otherwise challenging process. However, the lack of response from the company's leadership and marketing team underscores a broader issue that needs addressing. This review serves not only as a cautionary tale for potential customers but also as a call for improved communication and customer service from PODS.
**Final Addendum to the Comprehensive Review of PODS: An Unending Ordeal.** After navigating the financial and logistical labyrinth that was our move with PODS, we finally received the delivery of our container. This occurred only after we made the substantial payment of $569, plus an additional $119 for the delivery, which was supposed to cover both storage in Tampa and delivery to our new residence. However, despite having paid these fees, we learned that PODS was charging us for storage time while the container was still en route—a detail that was never disclosed to us beforehand. This lack of transparency was yet another unwelcome surprise in our already tumultuous experience.
The container was eventually dropped on our lawn in Zephyrhills, Florida, but the saga was far from over. As I juggled the dual responsibilities of unpacking the pod and caring for my wife, who was just released from the hospital, our credit card was repeatedly charged by PODS. The relentless attempts to bill us continued despite the fact that we were already financially drained from the prior charges. Each attempt was a stark reminder of the financial strain PODS had imposed on us, and the calls persisted even as I was trying to support my wife, who was facing significant physical and mental health challenges.
The pressure was further intensified by the looming deadline of Monday, December 13th, by which we were required to have the pod unpacked. The constant financial and logistical pressures made an already difficult situation nearly unbearable, adding to the stress my wife and I were under. Her mental health struggles were exacerbated by the ongoing ordeal, and the incessant calls from PODS only heightened our sense of being cornered.
This entire experience has been profoundly distressing, leaving us feeling both financially and emotionally battered. PODS’ lack of transparency, professionalism, and empathy in handling our situation has been nothing short of appalling. The pressure they exerted during such a vulnerable time for my family was deeply unsettling and entirely unacceptable.
In retrospect, this experience has underscored the importance of reliability and customer care, aspects that were sorely lacking in our dealings with PODS. We urge anyone considering their services to tread carefully and consider alternative options that prioritize the well-being and peace of mind of their customers. Our experience has taught us that the convenience PODS promises is overshadowed by the hidden costs and stress that come with their services. And they’ve been hounding us nonstop trying to charge our card for $400 after they picked up their container already and keep trying to charge our card to the point where we had to change our cards to secure our rent money and our new location so we be on time for our rent. This is totally unacceptable and disgusting and I told him that I was gonna write this review. I held off on it for quite some time and they kept pushing and pushing and pushing..

Packing and moving after 30 plus years was overwhelming and daunting. Deciding who to use was the easy part. We choose PODS for its efficient handling of the move part. The PODS were delivered on time and when we realized one was not enough for our vast belongings we made arrangements for an additional POD - no issue. We finally packed the PODS and they were taken locally to a warehouse. Luckily it was accessible so we could add to the POD. Our new house was not ready due to numerous hurricanes but again not an issue. When the PODS were finally delivered we did not have any damages, the process was easy and effortless. I would recommend PODS to everyone planning a move. All information, cost of POD delivery, travel costs were explained in advance with no surprises. Packing and unpacking were completed by a separate company they provided for us that did a great job.

PODS is a great way to contain your household items when transferring from one home to another and not having a very definite closing date when purchasing another home. Their staff are all helpful, and allowed me to change dates on delivery and pick up throughout my move. If you use your pod for 30 days or less, there's no extra charges and they actually give you a 3 day grace period beyond the 30 days before charging 1/2 month rental. Up until 14 days (17 days really) before a month is charged. The containers are ample in size I rented a 16'. I only needed a small closed trailer after loading pod for items not allowed in the pod, and that cost was minimal too. Though I used another company for the trailer. I will definitely use pods again if I move again. Thank you PODS for having this simple and easy to use service. It really took a lot of stress away knowing my items were secure, safe, and easily scheduled to move.

Everything went well until the end. They tried to deliver another POD at the location I left. If I hadn't noticed the email, another POD would have been sitting at my old location, I don't know how long.... I moved out of state and wasn't going back. 2.5 months later they are trying to charge my credit card again. I had to call my CC and put a stop payment on the merchant/POD.

We recently moved cross country and knew we wouldn't start house hunting until we arrived, so we thought we would try PODS since they could hold all of our items until we purchased a house on the other side. We had a lot of issues with the move, including having to change the date, getting hit by 2 Hurricanes in the 2 weeks before we left, having issues with our credit card not wanting to release payment because of security concerns, and getting the furniture in pretty last minute once we moved in.
The one thing I could count on was PODS always doing everything they could to help. They picked up our first POD early, before a hurricane hit, so it was secure in their facility. They worked with us when our bank was being difficult and made sure the PODs arrived and were picked up when they should despite bad weather on the receiving end as well. The only issue I had with PODS was due to a miscommunication on their part during our original quote and they worked with me to resolve that. They were such a joy to work with.

I used PODS twice. The first time I moved from Visalia, CA to Oahu Hawaii. They were absolutely wonderful, and really did an amazing job. None of my stuff got broken, and the price was great considering how far I was moving. The customer service was absolutely stellar, and every question I asked was answered with total professionalism. Most amazingly, a real live person actually comes to the phone instead of having to deal with a freaking robot computer call menu. A couple years later, I moved from Hawaii to Indiana. Of course I called PODS. Once again, they did an amazing job and all my stuff made it without getting broken or lost or anything bad. The people who work there (phone lines as well as delivery truck people) are very nice, timely and considerate. I hope I don’t have to move again anytime soon, but if I do I will definitely call PODS. They totally rock!

We moved from Cape Cod, MA to Hilton Head Island, SC. We rented a 16 foot POD. The POD we used was stored for us in Georgia until we found a place to live. This company was so accommodating, professional, and reasonably priced. We looked at two other moving companies and PODS beat their prices. Everything in the POD arrived damage free to SC. Moving has got to be # 1 in stressful events. We are so thankful we chose to use PODS this time around. We had used every type of moving before - large professional, national movers to U-Haul, and those were exhausting and disappointing to say the least. We were ready to try Pods & would use them again in a heartbeat. They were reasonably priced and we used their recommendation that (1) 16’ foot storage Pod was about 1,000 sq. feet of our interior of our home. So we used (2). Truthfully could have used a third smaller one for not having thought about the garage contents and outdoor furniture.
We hired some local help to pack up the pods, and we had carefully packed at our convenience all our belongings into boxes and containers. Pods was reliable and kept their promises on deliveries. The gentlemen were polite and helpful and nothing was broken or ruined in any way. The tips they provide are exactly what you need to pack carefully.

I would highly recommend PODS for any move. I sold my house in NC and used PODS to move my belongings from NC to VA. It took me 4 months to find a home in VA and have PODS deliver my belongings to my new home. Both the pickup in NC and the delivery in VA went very well. The drivers were polite and professional. All my belongings were delivered on time and in excellent condition.

I had a few issues with moving into a new condo. They were not allowing the POD to stay on the premises so there were a few changes to delivery date and the way the POD was delivered (truck stayed with POD until items were removed). Your customer service people were fantastic, so empathic and assisted me to look at my options making my experience less stressful than it would have been. Overall great experience.

Best decision made to stage home for sale and still have access to items stored for moving out of town. It was a bit costly but sometimes you have to pay for convenience. I had container in front yard right up until closing of home, roughly 3 months. Container was then delivered to new home within days.

Everything about PODS was outstanding, The communications from day one was timely and accurate. I got quick service when I had to change my initial order and everyone I dealt with, to include the individuals on the phone, were fantastic. Of note was the 5 star, over the top service and professionalism of the delivery driver, Uncle (Mark) who delivered and picked up our containers here in Blanco. He called and coordinated every delivery to our new home as it was important because I was staying over 1 hour away. He arrived on time, every time, and worked with me to place the PODs in the perfect place to facilitate access into the home for the contractors and inspectors. He had long days each time he worked with me as it entailed 3 separate trips each day, with each trip over an 1 hour each way. He still took the time to talk with me and provide information. What a true professional.

I’M GUTTED! 😭😭. This is what the inside of the POD looked like when it came back from pods moving in storage to my home. PODS Moving & Storage. There was not one item in the pod that wasn’t completely infested with rat or mouse feces and urine. There were multiple nests that destroyed family items that will never be replaced. Some of you know that my husband passed away in April 2024. When I had the pod returned to me in October, I literally closed it and couldn’t open it again for months. So many irreplaceable items destroyed. More than half of the pod contents went to the dump. Not knowing how dangerous inhaling dust from mouse feces was, I was literally sick for a month with a cough and flu-like symptoms I couldn’t get rid of.
The coldness of customer service in dealing with my claim was heartbreaking. Apparently, I denied the $15 a month insurance on the $350 monthly fee. I was paying for over 3 years for storage. This I find very hard to believe. But regardless beware. This is the condition that your household items will come back in. I was told to file a claim with my home insurance. I’m heartbroken and disgusted. Over $10,000 in storage fees with this company.

I moved from California to Arizona, and I chose Pods for both moving and storage purposes. They seemed to be the best solution for my needs. I opted for the largest size, which is the 16 ft pods, and used two of them.
The process was straightforward; I provided them with the specific dates for drop-off and pick-up, and they accommodated these without any issues. When it came time to move to Arizona, they delivered the pods exactly on the prescheduled day, making the transition smooth and stress-free.

I utilized Pods for moving my daughter’s belongings from Arizona to her new home in Tennessee. We had a 16-foot pod delivered to goodyear, Arizona, loaded it, and then had it transported to Tennessee, where we unloaded it. The space was perfect for our needs. This was actually the second time we used Pods, and I would definitely choose them again.
I highly recommend Pods to friends and family, as they are more cost-efficient compared to renting a U-Haul. Unlike traditional truck rental services, you avoid the hassle and expense of driving long distances, staying in hotels, or worrying about fuel costs. From time to time, Pods even offers discounts, which is a nice bonus. We made an initial reservation, then we had to cancel it because of timing of closing on the house. We got a new date, and by the time the new date came, they'd already called us back and offered 20% off certain parts of the service.
In terms of customer service, I found it quite satisfactory. However, the booking process was a bit lengthy, taking about 30 minutes, even though I knew exactly what I wanted. Despite this, I understand the necessity of going through the formal procedures, so I rate their customer service a 4 out of 5.
The overall experience with Pods, including pricing, was excellent, earning a 5-star rating. The containers were new and in great condition, and the website was easy to navigate. I’m very pleased with Pods.

I interacted with the driver during the pickup and found her to be very nice and professional. I recently used Pods for my storage needs, and overall, I had a great experience. I chose Pods mainly because they were the only company servicing my area and they had a promotional coupon available at the time. The two gentlemen who handled the drop-off and pick-up were fantastic—very friendly and efficient. The whole time, they were chatty, talking to me, and I was very, very pleased because you don't get that kind of customer service these days. Their excellent customer service was refreshing as they made the entire process seamless.
The container itself was very clean upon arrival, which was good. However, I did notice that it wasn't completely airtight as I had little surprise visitors like ladybugs and stink bugs in some of the boxes. I expected it to be more sealed, but thankfully, there were no pests like mice or snakes.
Overall, the entire process was smooth, from ordering the Pod to the service quality. I would rate my experience with Pods as a 5, considering how helpful everyone was throughout the process.

I chose PODS based on the positive experience my daughter and son-in-law had about three years ago. I opted for their moving and storage services and booked online without any issues. I used the medium-sized, 12 ft container, which turned out to be the correct size for my needs. The quality of the container was good with no problems at all. My interactions with the drivers during pickup and drop-off were really good. I also had a pleasant experience with their customer service when I needed to retrieve some items last summer. I chose PODS for my moving needs primarily because of their flexibility. I wasn't certain about my moving date, so having the ability to load up the container at my own pace was a big advantage. I booked the container over the phone and found the process very easy. The staff was amazing—always kind, courteous, and flexible. I recently used Pods for a local move, transitioning from one house to another across a short distance of about 2 miles. I have used Pods before and opted for their services again due to my past positive experience. Setting up the move for pickup and delivery was excellent. Both times, the drivers were great.
The pricing was reasonable, and the online process for arranging everything was very straightforward. I would use them again in the future and have recommended them to my brother, who is planning a move later in the year. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

I recently used PODS for a long-distance move, and my experience was very positive. From the start, I spoke with their representatives, who were helpful in setting up everything. The pickup and delivery were seamless; a simple phone call was all it took to schedule, and the drivers made sure to call before both delivery and pickup. I used three 16-foot containers, and they were perfectly adequate for my needs. After moving 1,700 miles, everything arrived as expected.

I used Pods when we were renovating our home. We needed a secure place to store our belongings temporarily, so we decided to use a Pod in our driveway. I found Pods through a quick Google search, and chose them because they had a promotion offering the first two months at a reduced rate.
The booking process was very easy. I chose the largest size and we used it for about six months. The delivery was super easy as well. They gave us a heads-up, and when they arrived, the whole process took about 20 minutes. The same convenience applied to the pick-up, even though we weren't home at the time; we ensured the driveway was clear.
Regarding the structure and sturdiness of the Pod, it was in good shape and kept everything well-protected. I'm satisfied with the overall experience.

I recently saw an ad on television for PODS, which caught my attention because of how efficiently they load and unload. My experience with PODS was great! I chose the 8 ft pod, which is the smallest one, and had it for about 4 days at each location.
The pod's structure was solid, although I found the door a bit challenging to operate—it was tough to move it up and down. Fortunately, the driver helped me with it during pickup and delivery.
Overall, I would highly recommend PODS for moving. It's not only cheaper in the long run but also more efficient. I had a great experience and would definitely suggest it to friends and family.

Overall, I had an excellent experience with PODS. The delivery to my home in NM was on time, as promised. Unit was clean. The drop off in MA was as scheduled. The final pickup was uneventful. The pricing was as scheduled except for an unexpected charge because I had the unit picked up in NM a day later than originally scheduled. Had great experience with the call center folks. They were all very helpful and accommodating.. Only minor complaint was the number of emails I received. Too many. Overall, an excellent experience with PODS.

I was downsizing AND moving into our family home to care for a family member. My place before was much larger and I had to move into our family a hurry. I used the POD to give me time to sort through my stuff when it came, to cull through the stuff already there, and to stage for donation the stuff I decided I could not use. Keeping the POD for two months allowed me to do this gradually, without becoming overwhelmed by clutter and boxes (since I am caring for an invalid, as well). What a blessing! The POD was clean, airtight and waterproof, and the outside looked sparkling and brand new. The driver was careful, knowledgeable, and experienced—both in delivery and with the pickup. The phone personnel very kind, efficient, and prompt. I heartily recommend them; (I have received no payment or incentive for this. My incentive is their great service!)

I have had a good experience with PODS, in the past I’ve used them to move 3 containers from New Jersey to South Carolina, the recent container moved here, they stored them for me for two months as our new home wasn’t ready. The driver on 10/31 to this address was absolutely great. He parked the POD, then it rained a lot with the drain backing up. The POD was in the water. On a Saturday afternoon, he came back and worked with me to get the POD elevated and safely out of the water. Time was critical and he is to be highly thanked and commended. Placed an order for 2 16 ft units to be delivered on 12/27 and picked up on 12/30. Paid up front. Called 12/24 to ask an approximate pick up time on 12/30. Was told they could only pick up one. The other one wouldn’t be picked up until 1/07 because they didn’t have any available storage for both pods. My house closed on 12/30 so the property they would leave my furniture on was no longer my property. So I had to cancel one pod and it’s caused my move to be a nightmare. I found a small pod from U-Haul which wasn’t big enough. Now I’ve had to rent a truck and a storage unit. I just want to sit down and cry but I can’t because I have to figure out how to move my household.

They blamed us for not calling on status of our shipment when our online account stated in transit even though it was sitting in our destination city. The Pod was perfect for my move. It was dropped off easily and I loaded as I had time. Then they picked it up and it took like only 9 days from my move time to drop off at new moved in location. I had it for two days, which I had scheduled. Then they picked up. It was seamless and they were able to use the podzilla to move the POD into parking spots easily. I'm impressed and would choose them again to move across states.

I decided to use Pods for storage because it was convenient, though I wasn't particularly fond of their website and found their marketing a bit aggressive. I set everything up online. We opted for the largest pod available, but ended up needing two of them for our belongings, which we used for 2 months. Regarding pickup and delivery, despite our small driveway which required them to roll the pod onto it, everything went smoothly both when they delivered and picked it up.
In terms of my overall experience, I would tell a friend that we were happy with Pods due to the convenience they offered. The drivers were very nice, which supported the quality of service. Price-wise, it was a bit expensive, but I believe you pay for the convenience they provide. I did, however, rate their website quite low as I wasn't satisfied with it.

I had a positive experience using PODS, as recommended by my sister after she used them for storage. We first used their service during a move from Illinois to Arizona due to their competitive pricing at the time. I arranged everything online, and the process was very easy. Although I didn't interact directly with the drivers during the pickup and delivery, there were no complaints, which indicates everything went smoothly.
Overall, I was completely satisfied with the service. I would definitely use PODS again if needed. Based on my experience, I would rate them highly in terms of booking, ease of use, and service quality. I was overall happy with the delivery and pick up. My two issues: Rolling doors easily stuck and very hard to open/close, AND the driver ran into my building (where I moved to) and ruined a portion of the siding, saying he would call it in but I never heard anything back. VERY expensive and delivery took two weeks but it was the only option available for me. The customer service people over the phone were great and helpful getting me set up.

Had an issue with the PICKUP of POD. Never received The courtesy 30 minute call ahead... Cannot understand How it takes so long to get items to get delivered. POD left CA on the 8th, arrived the 18th in NC. Something about these things need to get a good nights sleep in a different city. This Order From Ohio To NC was picked up the 17th and DN receive until the 28th. I understand the holidays, but a center is only opened Tu, Wed, Thurs. I can drive the route in 10 hrs. (From CA it took 5 days, even going thru Ohio,, then to NC and still waited for POD... Price may be good but time to people is just as important. Need to adjust their timeline

I recently used Pods for their container service. They delivered, moved, and picked up the container seamlessly. The whole process was smooth, and they truly know what they're doing. If a friend were to ask, I'd definitely say, "Go for it!"
I chose a smaller container, maybe around 8 by 12 feet, which was more than enough for my needs. If I needed more space, I could've packed better, but I was primarily concerned with moving items off a property we had sold.
Regarding their service, I’d rate them 5 stars because they delivered exactly what they promised. The customer service was fantastic as well. However, I'd give a 4-star rating for the online service. Some tasks were easier to handle over the phone than online. Overall, it was a great experience, and having a person to speak to made it even better.

I recently had a wonderful experience using PODS for my moving and storage needs. The entire process was incredibly convenient. They delivered the container for me to load and picked it up afterward, making it a very smooth and hassle-free experience. I found their pricing to be the best in the market, which added to my satisfaction with their service. I booked the POD online, and it was very easy to do. My opinion is to not use PODS for a long move. The box does not protect your belongings as a moving truck would. The group that packed my belongings did an excellent job of wrapping and securing everything. Yet there was shifting and I now have several pieces of damaged furniture. So now I have to deal with the insurance claim and find someone to do the repairs. Ordering the POD was easy. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size. The local POD dealer was amazing! She got the wrong size removed and a larger one delivered the following day. Talk about customer service! I found the billing was too cumbersome and confusing. Whenever I called about it I was reminded this information was available online. Thanks for questioning my mental ability. Again if you you’re moving a short distance it will work. My trip was 1700 miles. That’s a lot of jostling of the contents.

We rented 2 PODS of 16 feet size. Both PODS delivered on time and picked up on time. We able to pack all house items in those PODS without any difficulties. We had difficulties to open door of the second POD after dropped off in Round Rock, TX. I believed the driver might had shook contents than usual while dropping the PODS. Eventually with help of two strong men’s help open the door little bit then push. Move forward boxes back and open the door to empty the PODS. Overall, we are happy with service.

Service itself was amazing. Drop off and pickup were exactly as they should be both on move out and move in days. The only issue found was contents shifting during transport, which lead to minor/slightly major damage of some furniture. Nothing was a total loss though. I would use this service again, and recommend it to anyone who only needs a 1 month storage rental.

Had a TV damaged and they did not cover it. What’s the point of taking out the insurance. A big scam. Never will use them again. Tried to blame it on me. Pod was a little rotten also on the inside. A lot of splinters and post every 6 feet take up valuable packing space.

Great customer service, transportation and delivery of my moving items to my new location. Fair price options with ability to make monthly payments, but the credit bank is not available in all states, which was for my case. But overall everything went smoothly and they are very flexible in terms of when to pick up and drop off your container.

The pickup and delivery of the pod were handled by two different drivers, both of whom were professional and did their job. I booked the service online, and the process was fairly easy to navigate.

I chose PODS for the convenience and the military discount they offered. The booking process was simple, mostly done online. They called to confirm, and I even had to adjust the schedule once, which was handled without any issues. We used a 16 ft container that they called a Podzilla, and everything went like clockwork. The container was dropped off, we loaded it, and they picked it up within about 48 hours, even in the challenging Colorado snowstorm. I was amazed they managed to retrieve it despite highway closures. The pod was brand new, which impressed me, and I've been telling my friends and family that PODS is the way to move.

Updated on 01/05/2025: Nothing has gotten better. We received an e-mail that a customer support specialist will be helping us. It had no return e-mail address and no name of who our customer support specialist would be. My wife called the company and explained everything to them and how we went with their company because they said "We can deliver it anywhere in Wi." We live in Wisconsin. It's not like we are moving out of state. My wife received another e-mail saying that their customer support representative reviewed our case and decided that they can not help us. This e-mail we could not reply to and it did not give us the name of the customer support specialist that reviewed our case.
So my wife called again. Every time she calls she just gets someone in a call center that can't help. But this time we found out that there is a recording of my wife when she was initially setting up the order and it literally has on it her asking if it can be delivered anywhere in Wisconsin. They told her yes. We then find out from this lady that there are only two POD places in Wisconsin. There is one in Milwaukee and one in Madison, Wi. She told us that we are outside of their delivery area. WHAT!!! No one has EVER told us that they had a delivery area. We were told they can deliver anywhere in Wisconsin. So here we sit with PODS unwilling to do anything to get our belongings to our new home.
This is absolutely the worst company I have ever delt with as an adult. All of our kitchen stuff is in it. All of our furniture is in it. All of our beds. All of our dressers are in it. New home with nothing in it. This all started I believe the week before December the 18th. When we were closing on the house. I can't believe they have this audio recording of her initial hiring them. They say it was a pricing issue. Heck no!!!! It's a you won't deliver issue. We want our belongings. I will get my attorney and I will subpoena that recording and enter it in as evidence to the court. Also they have done this before.
Original Review: We called PODS Company because we were selling our home and moving. But we did not have another home yet. My wife asked them "Do you deliver anywhere in Wi?" She was told while I was sitting right next to her so I could hear the conversation as well. The man with the PODS Company said "Yes and to all of the continental U.S." Now we bought a home and are ready for the POD to be delivered to our new home on 20 acres in Wisconsin. My wife was told "That address is outside of our delivery area." Our new home is right off of a Wisconsin state Highway. It's not like we are way back in the woods. From my internet research this is not the first time they have done this. I feel it's time for a class action lawsuit.

My experience with PODS was excellent from the time I made the first phone call til the last. Communications are thorough, timely and clear. Customer service reps were all professional, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The items in my POD were returned in the exact condition they were in when picked up. The product was fine and as expected. The service was sketchy at best. For initial delivery, they provided a 3-hour service window & indicated the driver would call when on the way. They met the 3-hour window without ever calling. For pick-up it was unfortunately much worse. First, I called for pick-up on November 19th, hoping to have it removed prior to the end of the month (yes, the Thanksgiving holiday was a potential issue). But on the call they admitted that the local facilities were full & probably couldn't get it until Dec 10th (What if I had sold the house & was closing Nov 30th?) they would try to get it earlier if possible.
On December 9th, I received an email w/ a 3-hour window for Dec 10th (3p-6p) and the driver will call prior to arrival. I reply according to their process to confirm pickup. On Dec 10th at 3pm I receive another email indicating "as you requested, your order has been updated" - nope, I didn't request. I left home for the evening. Then at 6pm I receive an email indicating that the new pickup window is Dec 11th (3p-6p). At 9pm my wife informs me that the pod is gone (no drive call yet again).
At 1am (Dec 11) I receive an email indicating that the pod has been picked up, and again at 7am (Dec 11) I receive notice that my pod will be picked up during the 3p-6p window. So their national tracking system has no idea what their locals are doing. And their locals are not following protocol to call the customer before pulling onto their property. Oh, yeah... I was charged for the month of December when I asked for the pod to be removed as early as Nov 19th. The website is not helpful.

I used PODS for storage so that when we bought another home we could ship it directly to our new house. I called to get it sent from FL to OH. They charged me but didn't send the container. They credited that but then I didn't get my container for another month!! They did credit me a lot of money for the mix up; but it took a lot of time. You always get a new person. Very frustrating. I won't use them again.

Origin - Pod was brought to us on time. Driver snapped a wire to the house, not relevant to the utilities, but driver seemed unconcerned. Pod door was hard to open due to previous damage or tract not having been lubricated. This made it difficult the entire time. Pick up - Hard to make changes. Driver was here to get the Pod when he realized the day had been changed. Destination - Ordered for 8:30 a.m. On day of, the text said 12:30 p.m. We were at destination spot (not our home) but Sam, in nice Pods shirt, called when he was near, otherwise it would have been a disaster. Sam went above and beyond when I forgot the combination, then we couldn't get the garage-type door open, probably fault of our loading. Sam stayed calm and worked with us. OVERALL IMPRESSION - Expensive for the experience. Use it only if you REALLY need it.

I have a window of 9-12. Pods called to cancel due to unforseen difficulties at 11:15. I took the day off. No apologies or discount for needing to deliver the next day. Then they had the nerve to tell me if I canceled the night before I would receive a charge!

I moved out and used PODS' storage unit, then I moved back in. My father booked the smaller container for me, and it was seamless. We packed and it was tight, but everything fit. The man who picked up the container was very lovely, and the first guy who dropped it off was professional as well. He didn't have a personality but he wasn't offensive. I had to cut off the lock 'cause I lost the key. That was one thing that I don't know why they told us to do but buy an extra lock. My dad also found PODS to be expensive and wasn't a fan of because he got tired of paying it after a while, granted I had it in storage for a year.

I went online. I found PODS. I called the number. A girl called me back. She was really good with me, called me back several times, because I wasn't ready to do it yet, but I was trying to get all my ducks in a row, and get all my information that I needed, and she continued to call me. “Are you ready? You just let me know.” I needed to ask her how many days in advance I needed to do this, because I was calling from Illinois and my move was gonna be from Arizona back to Illinois. So, I wasn't in Arizona yet. So, I signed everything in order.
There are two pods. There's an 8 x 15 and like a 15 x 15 or 16 x 15. So, originally, I was going with the smaller one, the half-pod. And then my wife's aunt and her uncle just kept adding more stuff that they wanted in it. So, I got nervous that I wouldn't fit it all in the half-pod. So, then I reordered and I ordered the bigger pod. I got there on the 15th of October. I have a couple days to pack up all the stuff. So, I had to get the pod delivered on the 23rd of October and then I wanted it picked up on the 30th of October. That was exactly what they did.
They called me and said, “I'm like 15, 20 minutes away.” They came in. I met them at the place. They dropped the pod. The guy was great. It was a shared driveway. So, the neighbor pulled up and she started giving me a hard time and went to the driver, telling the driver what to do. And the driver says, “Listen, ma'am. All respect. I work for him, so I do what he tells me to do.” The guy was really good. The neighbor was just outrageous. He had enough room to get in and out.

I got three quotes before deciding on PODS and I booked the pod online. The driver called ahead of time and told me that the way that he had picked up the container that he now had available was going to make it so that the opening was toward the street in my driveway. He asked if that was gonna be okay. If not, he could take it back and turn it around. I just won't get it that day but they would get it as soon as possible. I was very pleased with his interaction. I've used PODS before so I knew that it would be a good experience. I’m impressed with how easy the service is.

We went online and looked at all the information and we ended up calling PODS. We talked to one of the representatives and it seemed like it was convenient and fit our schedule. We started the booking process and then, we changed things around. It was a very pleasurable experience. I got four 16-footers and we’ve only had one dropped off. There are still three in the warehouse down in Hialeah. So, that process was very nice.
The only thing disappointing in the whole experience was that one of the trucks leaked fluid on a new driveway. I tried to clean it myself but it's still there. It will take some time to wear it off because it's hydraulic or oil. We didn't make an issue out of it. It wasn't the driver's fault. It's just some of PODS’ trucks leak. Hopefully, the next truck that comes and delivers won't be leaking. The price was variable. It went up and down so, we got some savings. As it got later in the season, maybe the price dropped a little bit. While you're moving, anything is expensive. But it was worth it and still is at this moment.

I was very impressed with PODS - exceptional customer service in every interaction I had with them. From my first call for information about their services, to reserving a pod, filling out the necessary information and everything else. I would definitely recommend. My only complaint is not knowing the time frame of pickup to move it to the next location until the night before the date which made it inconvenient to make any plans in advance.

We were decluttering our house. So we got a PODS 16-foot storage trailer mobile because we were selling our home and relocating. I don't do technology real well. So after having done a little bit of plodding around on the internet, I called PODS and the rep was very helpful and got us set up. I called on a Sunday and the pod was delivered the following Monday. The pod was pretty cool. It was great. We were winging it because we've never done it before. But it worked really well. Had I known now what I knew then, I'd have put more on it before I shipped it back. The drivers, Scott and Myron, were absolutely wonderful.
It's been a really good experience. Probably of the move, the PODS was the easiest. It was probably the best part of what all we've been dealing with. Considering what we were thinking about doing was just getting a storage facility and then driving back and forth, PODS was extraordinarily great. It was the best idea ever.

The delivery was great. There was a little snafu during pick-up. I went to set it up. It took a little longer for them to get here than I anticipated. Then they ended up coming early, which was great. But then I still got a notification on the scheduled day that they were coming. But that caused me zero inconvenience, so it was not a big deal. It just seemed like they didn't have something right as far as their knowledge of what was going on. Other than that, I would use them again. I had a good experience.

The pod was delivered on August 28 and the driver was amazing. We had places we wanted him to put it and he got out of the truck, looked at it and said, “Yeah. I can do that.” The price was cheaper than a moving company. But they made a mistake. They brought the big pod and I didn't have that many belongings. Everything that was in it just sit flat on the floor. Nothing was piled up. But that was okay. The driver put it between my 8 x 24 camper and the trees so that we could get into it.

I've used PODS before and it worked out well the previous time. I went with them again and my experience was good. It went as expected, and worked out really well. There were three payments, a couple of days before, after pickup, and then the last payment. Then there was a $10 difference. It was no big deal. Other than that, it was great. The driver was good. It was a smaller market. When the first one got picked up, he said he was gonna go do something and then do something else and be back. I didn't get the call for 30 minutes prior. I was expecting that 30-minute call before he arrived and got lucky that I got back when he pulled up. But the personnel were very friendly and seemed to know what they were doing.

My experience with PODS was super easy. They put it exactly where I wanted it. When we called them to have them come pick it up or when we got online and arranged for them to pick it up, they showed up during the window. I had a couple of questions during that period, arranging for it to be picked up and the customer service was excellent. They took my call, answered all my questions and helped us get things set up. It was great. The cost was a little bit higher compared to others. I could have gotten something a little bit cheaper. But given how easily it worked, it was worth it in the long run.

PODS was my first try because they're so recognizable. Initially, I called and told them what my needs were. They were very helpful and said they could do all of it. Then, they set me up with my portal which has everything in it. If you make a change, they update it. If you need to look at the dates that you're doing things, pickup times, and needs for delivery space, they're all in the portal and can all be handled online. Also, when I needed to call them, they were happy to help me over the phone. We got the biggest pod, and the delivery and pickup were super easy. We weren't even there. They just delivered them when they said they were going to, called us, and said they were done. The same thing happened when they picked it up. PODS was super easy to use and I would recommend them to anybody who needs that kind of service.

I already had someone to help me pack. I didn't wanna rent a U-Haul truck and PODS seemed like a good option. So, I decided to go with that. Plus, the stuff I was moving had to be in storage for a month before it went on to where it was going. It just seemed like PODS had it figured out how to do that easily. Booking the pod was a piece of cake. I got on the phone and said what I needed. The person I dealt with was very easy to understand. They spoke very clearly and they answered every question I had on the spot and they didn't have to say, "Well, let me go check." They knew what they were talking about.
Delivery was when they said it was gonna be done. I only got one pod. It was 16 feet long. The guy dropped it off and wheeled it right where I wanted it. He was very cordial. The pod was, for all intents and purposes, new. It was spotless. It was clean on the inside and there were no big dings or scratches. Maybe I got one that was only used once or twice. But if they're all that way, then that was good. When the price was quoted, it didn't scare me. I didn't compare it to something else, but I would tell people if they compare prices and this is in the ballpark, I'd recommend PODS. Two different times during the moving process, I had to contact PODS and change a date. It was as smooth as it could be. They have a well-run business going there.

When I had some questions, I called PODS and the rep answered all my questions. It went extremely well. The estimates that they gave me were right on. There were no surprises. I got the largest pod but I had to get extra storage at the last moment because not everything fit, but that was my not estimating the needs. We needed something to put stuff in, and PODS is well known, so we went with them. We booked the pod online and the process was fine. We barely saw the drivers, but they called. They were very good at calling, and they seemed very nice. Overall, the service served its purpose. They did what they were supposed to do. They dropped the pod off. We filled it. They picked it up and they dropped it off. I would use PODS again.

I loved having PODS. I ended up having them stored for seven years. I just got it two weeks ago. They neither delivered to Alaska nor Montana, which were the two places where I ended up. So, the downside is that they do not cover all 50 states. At the time I booked, I had no idea I would end up in Alaska for five years. When I received my items, it had been kept in a temperature-controlled facility in Texas, which meant a lot because it was 115 degrees for the last several years during the summer time. I didn't have any issues with my belongings. Everything came very clean. I just had it in another moving truck for a week and everything was very dirty. It's good. The temperature control worked beautifully, the way it was supposed to.
It was very easy for them to both pick up the item online and schedule everything that I had to do. Then the driver even called me when he was half an hour away. The price was fair for not having to drive a U-Haul truck or try to deal with across country movers. If you want it delivered outside of that range, it would be a little less, but I would still recommend PODS.

I selected PODS because the timeframe seemed to work for me as far as loading it up and delivering it. It checked all the boxes. It was a little expensive, but it was okay. They had gone down a bit in price, which was good. I had a container delivered to my house and it would go to North Carolina. They held it for me and I moved my things into a storage unit. The gentleman that dropped the pod off was great. The guy that picked it up was good. The guy that delivered it to me in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the storage place was patient. He was in touch. It was good, easy service. I've had moving companies move my things and I've had some very reckless, bad experiences. I packed up my own things. I didn't get anybody through PODS to pack my stuff. That was a little bit more of an expense, but it was worth it because I'm not as young as I used to be, when I used to do a lot of things.

I liked the price and I didn't need a full service moving crew. The schedule was important too. I had a very tight timeline to move the things that I had, and PODS had a more rapid response time than others I checked with. I had questions that I couldn't answer by looking online so I ended up calling to talk to somebody and ask those questions.
The drivers were very flexible and did their best to try to make sure that everything was exactly as I requested it in terms of where the pod would go. They were very responsive and concerned to make sure that I was satisfied. Nice people. I had a specific situation on the pickup as well, which was, which I was notable. I was not supposed to be there when they were coming to do the pickup of the unit. I was taking my mother to a doctor's appointment, and I realized while I was at the doctor's appointment that I left my car parked close to the pod container that it wouldn't have been possible for them to do the pickup.
I called the guy and said, “I just realized I screwed this up. Is that gonna be a problem?” He said yes, it was. But he immediately said, “Let me see if I can try to fit you in.” We went through the regular process of rescheduling through PODS for the pickup, but he ended up coming two days earlier. He called me and said, “I've got a guy who's available right now at the end of the day. Would you like me to come pick it up?" He came then. He was responsive and even though it would have been easier for him to wait until the time that had been rescheduled. He knew that I was on a tight time frame. He reached out to me to ask if it was okay if he could come earlier than the rescheduled time. He went above and beyond, which was nice.

We needed to store our stuff for our move because we were building a new house. The booking process with PODS was easy, and I got the biggest sized pod. It was good. Their guy called and let me know he was on the way and then they dropped it off. It was the same thing with the pick-up. They came and picked it up. Nothing was complicated. Anybody who is moving, I would recommend to use the service because it was easier than moving it into a storage unit, and then moving it back. It was just a simpler way.

I went to PODS’ site and looked it up. Then, I decided that I wanted to book it online to understand the process but I needed to speak to somebody specifically and I didn't wanna do all of that simply online. I used PODS for storage for several months while I was redoing stuff within the house. Then I called them back and got the stuff out and sent them home.
One problem is that I need to know when the driver is going to show up or get a notice because I’m on a farm and you can’t get in unless we know and allow you to. They promised that they would call to do that but those calls never came. What I got was a text from the driver saying he was at the gate. That happened twice. That’s asking me to spend extra hours I don't have. I don't know when they're coming and I'm trying to be courteous enough to say that they’ll sit outside that gate, but they can't get in. I told PODS that they need to figure out what their process is. I've had two different stories as to what it is and they’re the ones who created it. I'm the one who's trying to accommodate it and they didn't call. So that doesn't help me.
There’s an issue with their marketing communication in making sure that they're consistent and what they say they’d do, they'll do. But the drivers were wonderful and very accommodating. Overall, I would use PODS again and recommend it. They did a great job. The customer service was very pleasant and did their best. But this is an internal operational issue and if they've got a format, then they need to have everybody reading the same format. And they're not. Their customers are limited as to what PODS said they're gonna do.
PODS’ prices were a little high but I haven't been involved in that kind of feature before. I put things in storage and I’ve done all the rest of it. I have 18 moves behind me and have some idea about the costs of the things that they're shipping, and that's not very expensive. So, my assumption is it has to be both the facility where they're keeping the pods in some kind of weathered, conditioned service or that that's the cost that's going towards the drivers. In which case, I don't have a problem with that. But it would be interesting to see what the margin is for them.

The first time I got a pod, we were in a storm before our closing date and we were just starting to move stuff out because we had a buyer. We just wanted PODS because I like the convenience of just loading it up and having them take it away. But the buyers had to terminate the contract because of a financial situation on their part. The pod had already left storage and I had another one coming the day after so I told PODS I needed my pod back. I had to unload all that stuff until the house sold again.
I paid all this money but PODS didn’t charge me for the pod that I didn't need anymore. So, that was a good thing. But a few days later, somebody bought the house and I had to call them again to bring the pod. I like that PODS was flexible with the scheduling and they came by fairly quickly. They came by on the day they were supposed to come by. Everything went smoothly and everybody that I talked to was good. The price was about average if I went for a moving company. So, it wasn't that bad.

Everything happened as scheduled, for which I was thankful, especially the pod pickup on the day I closed on my house. There are a lot of people out there in the moving business who are only interested in how much they can stick you for. The moving industry in general has changed A LOT for the worse, in the last 20 years. PODS is an up-front and reasonable alternative.

One POD was filthy inside. I had to clean it out. Another had bolts sticking out of the floor. I had to cover those so that our furniture was not damaged. I thought it was more expensive than a moving company but with Hurricane Milton disrupting everything in SW Florida, being able to store them and choose a time to deliver worked well.

PODs was the first one I called and everything worked out for me. I found them online but I booked it over the phone. The reps treated me very nicely and the drivers were very courteous and punctual. I liked the ease of using the containers. Everything was perfect and I would highly recommend PODS.

We've used PODS for the last 10 years and had good experiences with them. We've only used it for bigger moves, and every time we booked, we've used the largest container, which is the 16-footer. Everything is clean and fine and the drivers are excellent. We usually book over the phone and the reps are very good. We've had to reschedule a few things as well and everything was fine. Recently, we used two of the pods to move, and then we stored stuff at the new location for about six months.

I needed storage for a month while I did some renovating, and the gals I talked to on the phone as well as the drivers were great. They let me know when they were coming and going and it was all a pleasant experience. The cost was a little high though. I was surprised that there was a fee to bring the pod back. I thought the 300 fee in the beginning was the whole thing. They said, "Oh, well, now, it's gonna be another 100 to bring it back." I don't think that was explained.

The drop off and pick up was really easy. It was nice having an extra storage spot on moving. The drop off scheduling was very quick and easy however, when you needed it picked up if you didn’t book weeks ahead, you get screwed. The Syracuse location didn’t open up spots for the next two weeks so I had nothing to book and as everybody knows, closings get changed every five seconds so this is really inconvenient if you have to close on a house. It’s better to move it to somebody else’s house and then again move it to your house. It makes it not worth it. Luckily the customer service was able to reach out and schedule it for me even though it was a few days early and I had to negotiate with the seller of our new home to take it early. Such a hassle.

We had a medical emergency and had to move my mom from NY to TX in short notice. We elected to use PODS to pack up her possessions (a lot - smile) that she wanted to take to TX. The PODS solution gave us flexibility to make decisions and pack over a few weeks. The price was reasonable, communications were great, representatives were knowledgeable and professional. The entire process from having the POD dropped off, picked up, shipped, drop-off at a our storage unit - unpacking over a week and then the final empty POD pick up was seamless. I would highly recommend PODS and was completely satisfied. The only piece of advice I would mention is that I did not understand the height and width requirements for the transporter to drop and pick up the POD - I realized now that I skipped over their video - my bad. We used PODS to move across the country. We had 2 PODS delivered to our house on different days. The 2 PODS were stored for 2 months and then delivered to our new address on 2 different days. The whole entire process went very smoothly. Everyone we spoke to at PODS was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The only complaint is that you have to pay for the entire month for storage regardless of when you are done with the POD. I feel like you should only pay for the days your POD is in storage. But I would still use PODS again and highly recommend it to friends and family.
