    We used PODS for moving and storage. And we decided to use them because we liked them better than the other providers. And everything went good and smooth. We didn’t have any problems. And so, we got one 16-footer pod, and it was in good shape. It was not leaking. And then the delivery and pick-up were great. So, we loaded it with our furniture, and then they stored it for us for a month, and then they brought it to our new location. So, it was just so convenient.

    We just got the large 16-foot container and did a cross-country move. Receiving the empty pod was great. Having it picked up was great. There was a little bit of confusion on getting it across the country, where your guys' system kind of freaked out. It had said originally that it was gonna be picked up on the 7th and then be in the new area on the 14th. Then out of nowhere, on the 12th, it said it wasn't going to be picked up for three more days and won't be delivered for another week and a half, which freaked us out. But when we called and spoke to someone on the phone, they said that, in fact, it was already in Maryland. So, no idea what happened with your system. Well, that's one. There is an issue in getting it delivered to us at our final destination from the receiving facility, where I don't know why. But the two different people we spoke to over the phone through the main line both told us that the facility where it was being stored only did pickups and deliveries on one day of the week. And of course, we were calling the day before that day, which is too soon to put in a request. So we had to wait an additional week and a change to get our pod. But when the driver brought it out, he was very confused 'cause his facility works all five days of the week. Overall good.

    I hired PODS because I was getting my garage floor epoxied, so I used it for storage. Getting a pod was as easy as apple pie. I did everything online.

    They texted me a day or two before delivery, and then I got a call from the driver when he was about a half hour out. The pod was the perfect size and I got all my stuff inside.

    When it was time for pickup, I set that up online as well. I got an email the night before saying what time they’d be there, and then another call about a half hour before they arrived. It was no pain whatsoever.

    Someone’s going to be doing my cottage in the next month or two, so I’ll definitely be calling PODS again to get another one.

    I had a very disappointing experience with this company. From day one, I encountered issues and miscommunications. First, I was promised 30 days of storage at the drop-off location, which turned out not to be the case. Then, I was informed that I would receive a month of storage for free, but it was actually included in the bill. The most frustrating part was the delay in receiving my container at my new location, which was supposed to take 6 to 9 days but ended up taking over three weeks. To make matters worse, the flexibility for drop-off was nonexistent. I ended up having to pick up my belongings from their warehouse myself to avoid additional charges. The entire experience was frustrating, misleading, and not at all what I expected. I would not recommend their services.

    I used PODS for my move, which was only about 15 miles. And it was very easy to schedule the move. And the pick-up and delivery were smooth and streamlined. I made a phone call, and they said it would be there on this day, and it was there.

    The only negative feedback I would have for PODS is that their pod should have been thrown away. It was pretty beat up. I wouldn’t want to have that on a long-distance move. But for a short distance, it worked. And their cost was reasonable.

    Getting a pod from PODS is simple and fairly straightforward. I had used them before when I had some flooring installed and got a pod for a couple of days while that was happening. For this particular occasion, I was having my house remodeled, so I had everything put into a pod for storage.

    I did most of the booking online. The mouse I was using was a little too sensitive and it clicked the wrong date. I wasn’t able to change that on the website and had to physically call the next day to have them change it. I also spoke to someone to clarify the size of the pod. I had a two-bedroom home and wanted to verify if the larger one was going to be sufficient. Unfortunately, it wasn’t, but whatever wouldn’t fit in the 16-foot pod, I was able to store elsewhere.

    The pod was delivered exactly how it was described. We had the street cleared, the guy delivered it, we signed for it, and off he went. Everything was totally fine, except I used PODS recommendations for movers, and that particular part was not as great. The pod wasn’t exactly brand-new, but it was certainly in good condition. It was clean, there was no damage, and I had it stored for a year. When they returned it, it was in exactly the same condition.

    I did not have a good experience with pods, lacking, basic customer service. I scheduled a POD to be delivered, the day of the delivery I received an email stating my order has been canceled. I called and asked why, they said the card I had on file would not go through I checked the account in funds were available. I rescheduled the POD delivery, checking that particular account again to make sure funds were available and they were.

    The day before the second pod was supposed to be delivered, I received an email stating it was canceled again, calling the second time I was told that my bank was flagging their request for payment as fraud. I asked if that is what happen on the first cancellation they said yes. I asked why I wasn’t told that the first time, they said “I don’t know.”I asked if there was any way they could help me out because I have movers scheduled they said no sorry and hung up the phone. Their customer service center is obviously not in the United States. As I could barely understand the person I was speaking to who was quite rude and short I will not use pods again.

    As a member of the military community, I was referred to PODS as a recommended moving solution. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but satisfactory. I am deeply disappointed that a company recommended to the military community has provided such a poor level of service and transparency. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to better serve your customers, especially those who have served our country. The problems started with miscommunication regarding the pod pickup.

    The representative suggested dropping off one pod at a time while picking up the full pod upon delivering a new empty one. However, this was not what transpired, despite our daily confirmations with PODS about the pickup date, all while knowing that our HOA would charge us for having a pod longer than five days. They delivered the new pod but showed no intention of collecting the initial one. This led to penalties from our HOA and restricted parking for our vehicles. On the day of our open house for the property we needed to sell, two pods were in the driveway, forcing us to cancel the event and leaving the house on the market for yet another week!

    I discovered that I needed to adjust the closing date of my home purchase after a supervisor mentioned there was a limited delivery schedule of only two days per week at my new location. To avoid incurring additional charges for extending into the following month, I insisted on the delivery date being five days before the end of the month. Consequently, I had to move my closing date earlier, which resulted in change fees. The lack of transparency and flexibility in your delivery schedule caused me considerable inconvenience and unexpected expenses.

    The overall rates charged by PODS were exorbitant, particularly given the issues I encountered. Even when informed that this was on the expensive side, I still opted for pods as I did not want to confront the reality that you get what you pay for. The lack of transparency in your pricing structure and hidden fees has left me feeling taken advantage of as a customer. To make matters worse, your customer service representatives have been unresponsive and unhelpful in resolving these problems. I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to get a satisfactory resolution, to no avail. Every dispute was filed, yet the best that PODS could offer was an $84 refund. The penalties and fines I incurred due to all the pods' “mistakes” exceeded that amount! Do Better PODS!

    Pods made the experience of relocating way less stressful. Delivery and pick up went exactly as requested. The POD was in excellent condition and very clean... The tie down locations inside the unit made securing my items easy, while giving me peace of mind. Everything was found to be perfectly in place and undamaged upon arrival at the new destination. Let me also note the ability to leave it stored in a secured warehouse for an extra month took so much pressure off of needing to be in a hurry when settling in to our new place of residence. I definitely would consider using the service again if need be and would recommend it to anyone.

    I had an awesome experience with PODS. I heard that they do a good job and had good quality storage units, so I called them. We got the biggest pod for storage when we did some renovations. We could probably use three of them. It was almost brand new, very sturdy and weatherproof. The guy brought and delivered it, put it where we wanted it to be, and picked it up as we asked. It was pretty simple and worked out well. If I need another unit like that again, I’ll be calling them.

    I had someone who was supposed to help me with the packing and moving of my stuff, but he pulled out at the last minute. Around the same time, I saw my neighbor using PODS and said, “Okay. Let me get PODS.” I used it to store my stuff for moving. It wasn’t long term. It was only sitting there for maybe a day or two.

    I booked it over the phone because it was more convenient. I had to be on hold, but not long, and the customer representatives were very helpful.

    The driver who picked up my container was great. They let me know when they were going to be there. I had to put some last-minute stuff in, and the guy was very patient because once they’re gone, you’re stuck with the stuff, so I had to hurry up.

    I had no problems with PODS except that I put in an insurance claim because there was a hole in the wall unit, and I’m still waiting for them to process it. Otherwise, they’re a great, excellent service.

    I initiated the delivery with PODS online. If it’s long-distance, you have to call. All the customer service was good. I would definitely use them again. It’s easy to use and cost-effective. I like the way that the pods are able to be delivered and picked up. And it was easy to open the door of the actual storage container. Their flexibility is another factor. If you need to change your pick-up or drop-off date, you could do that. The only price that is a little high is the monthly rental if you go over the 30 days. But the actual price to have it delivered, picked up, and moved is reasonable.

    I bought a new condo and it was furnished so I didn’t need all of the furniture that I had. But I needed all of the living things that I had and there was quite a few after 42 years in the same house. The move would be 148 miles and my niece said that PODS would be the best way to go. The pickup and delivery were both fantastic. They were exactly on time. The people called in advance and notified me of what they needed and where they needed it, and we were able to accommodate both pickup and delivery. They picked it up one day and then delivered it one more day. I was quite happy with that, too.

    The service and the people representing PODS are excellent. My compliments to the HR department. I’m a psychologist and I appreciate good service. I look at people and make adjustments according to what they wanna hear. But I didn’t have any trouble with any of the people from PODS. They were very pleasant and did their job with limited amount of discourse. They laid it out and did what they said they were gonna do.

    The other thing that I thought was majestic is out of all of the dishware and pottery that we have, there’s only one small plate broken. Overall, it was a painless experience and I was very satisfied.

    I would have given this review 5 stars - from the start PODS made everything easy and apparently transparent. The customer service was always good whenever I called the customer service line with questions, and the contract seemed clear. Pick up and scheduling were well communicated and they were right on time each time. The reason for the 3 stars is for the final delivery of the Pod. They held the Pod in storage for us until we got to our new home, and then scheduled the delivery date to the house. The contract stated the price for the final delivery, which was under $200. However, before deliver we got a final invoice for more than $700.

    When I called to inquire, they said we get charged for mileage for the final delivery from storage. That was not clarified, and certainly the price was not clarified. When I calculated the miles, we charged at a rate of more than $8/mile. Really put very sour period at the end of what was otherwise a good experience. Ask lots of questions and get everything in writing in advance.

    We had to move our possessions 1100 miles after selling our home and waiting for the new home to be constructed. We used cross country transport and storage of our POD for several months.     The experience we had with PODS exceeded expectations! From start to finish, after researching MANY other companies, they had the BEST prices, BEST options for what we were needing, BEST customer service accessibility and BEST flexibility! We could schedule drop offs & pick-ups at the touch of a button and the drivers were extremely kind, helpful and MADE SURE our things were transported & dropped off delicately & NOTHING was broken or damaged.... and that almost always happens when you use a service or have people come helpful! They treated our stuff like it was their own things being transported & that was IMPRESSIVE to me!!

    The only issue we had was that the amount we ended up paying was more than what was quoted because their mileage was different than what they estimated. So what I suggest is that you verify your total BEFORE agreeing to pay anything! But they worked with us, like I said, and it worked out perfectly! We are so grateful for an easy transition!!

    We put my daughter's belongings into a PODS container in October 2023 pending a move into a new home. Due to some problems she was not able to move into the new home until March 2025. I paid about $3,400 in storage fees over 17 months in addition to initial pick-up and final drop-off fees. Overall the service was good, but problem occurred with the drop-off. The driver backed over the outside water shut off valve to her home which resulted in her not having water available. The driver was aware of the problem and even recorded the damage by taking pictures. Fortunately a subcontractor plumber for the builder was on-site at the time and was able to do a quick repair for $120. Because this was an emergency situation, I was only concerned with getting the problem corrected quickly, paid cash for the repair and never bothered to get a receipt for the repair.

    The PODS claims department refuses to pay the repair costs since I didn't have a receipt. I would think that over having paid over $3,600 for PODS' services that they would be more cooperative in paying for a problem caused by their driver. It is as though once they dropped off the POD and got paid, they no longer even want to communicate on the issue.

    Ordering a PODS container is easy. They make it that way intentionally. They will deliver it whenever you want. After you order it and it's on its way, they start making a profit you your customer service goes out the window. Upon delivery, I asked him to put it in a location about 36" from my carport so the entrance faced the carport. Of course I had to sign a waiver that basically gives PODS permission to destroy your property without retribution... and that's what they did. Left a big dent in my barndo carport. C'est la vie. They did promise me a monthly military discount which they later reneged and said it was for the first month only.

    Finally, scheduling a pickup was a nightmare. I work in Austin, TX five days a week and near Greenville, TX. I think it's fair to assume the pickup was as easy as the delivery; on a Saturday. I was informed they only pickup on Tuesdays but I didn't have to be present. Oh but I do... I have dogs and a locked gate to my property... Someone has to be there to put the dogs away and unlock the gate for truck entry.

    After attempting to call them several times and getting put on hold with a wait time of four minutes (weird that it was always four minutes) the option is to push "1" on the keypad to hold your place in light and get a call back. I push "1" and the recording says "due to high call volumes, it may take several hours for a return call". So now the ability to talk to someone live is unpredictable at best... but they never called back anyway. Several times I went ahead and waited the "four" minutes and miraculously, it was four minutes. I say several times because twice during a transfer, the call dropped, and twice I was told they would have the "local" area supervisor call me back to work a Saturday delivery - this never happened, no one called me back. Finally I settled on Tuesday Deliver just to get rid of it - but since I am running out of characters, that's a boondoggle story for another day.

    We got an 8 x 8 pod from PODS. I called them up, got a price, and it was better than other ways, so that’s the route we went. The pod was big enough, but there were a few things that we couldn’t fit. We probably could have used a little more room, but the alternative was like a 16 x 8, so it’s a huge jump.

    Our experience was great except for when we couldn’t open the door of the pod. My husband got completely black and blue all over his forearms trying to open it and still couldn’t get it open. I called PODS and asked them to come out and fix it because everything had shifted.

    Another contractor came over and they were just relentless in unloading boxes. We couldn’t open the door no matter what until several boxes were unloaded all over the driveway and they were able to lift it up. Other than that issue, everything was fine.

    I needed to move some belongings but didn’t want to drive a moving truck. So I decided to book with PODS. The booking process was done over the phone and everything went fine and the representative I spoke with was good. I’m totally satisfied. I don’t have any complaints.

    I got two 16-foot pods. One was much older, it had a wooden floor, wooden side timbers, and hardly any tie-downs. I had to buy eyelets and add them myself to secure my things, and the floor wasn’t strong enough for my toolboxes, the wheels even went through it.     I heard that when other moving companies get long distances, they deliver on their own schedule and people wait a very long time for their merchandise or belongings. But I didn’t want that, I wanted deliveries on my own schedule.

    For the first phase of my move, I got an 8-foot storage unit and had it sent down to where I am and had it held in storage. I ordered a second pod and had people help us for all the larger items and for the rest of our belongings. I was able to get it here within seven days. It was two days after we moved into the house so we didn’t have to wait that long. They dropped off and picked up when they said they would and it worked out very well.

    The booking process was decent. I didn’t know my way around how to do the order and the first person helped me schedule it. He explained how the payments work, the rental and the drop off.

    When I ordered the second one and had that sent down directly, he realized that I had a unit in the storage. They actually arranged to swap them out on the same day. I didn’t know I could do that and I thought I had to do it on separate days. They didn’t come at the same time but that’s okay. One got picked up and then the other one got dropped off later on that same day.

    The pod was clean and had no issues with it. They were careful not to drive the contraption on the grass. There was a slight indentation but nothing that ripped up the lawn. I was also surprised that there was no moisture in the units, even the one that was held in storage.

    I would rate PODS a 5 for the service. It was a little pricey but they did come a long way. They went from New York to North Carolina so that’s expected. I got everything on my schedule. Overall, I had a very good experience.

    I called four companies and had a different one scheduled but they never showed up. The other one was a little cheaper than the PODS, but then they gave me a discount, so it made it the same price as the other one.     The POD would have been a much better experience if I had known a few things. First I asked for a pod big enough for 4 bedroom house and still had to rent a second pod and use my shed for storage. There was no way 4 bedrooms worth of furniture would fit into one. I would have also appreciated knowing that if you use your pod for a long period of time it must be aired out regularly to keep mildew from forming on all my belongings. The pod is gone now and I would have to seriously think about ever using another one. The price is outrageous and had I any clue that my remold of my home was going to take so long I would have rented a storage building much more efficient in price.

    The PODS move was very good. There were many communications, which was good. However, it felt like there would be added charges for any needed changes. There was some damage of the goods upon arrival, but nothing too bad. Interestingly, the delivery driver recommended using mats to help limit the amount of marks on the driveway. The driver who picked up the POD did not use them and left some pretty significant marks. Curious why there is an inconsistency there. Overall, however, the move was productive and probably less expensive than having a moving company complete it. Still a bit more than expected, but it was good exercise to move the household goods ourselves.

    We needed something where we could store because we were moving out of our place but we did not have a place to go. And we looked at the prices of storage units, and so we chose PODS because they would bring the pod to the house, we could load it up, and then it could be stored until we found a place.

    Our real estate agent Tyler was the one who made the booking for us when they were brought to the house. When they were delivered after being in storage for almost a year, I went online to find which one of the three pods I wanted delivered, pick the day, pick the pick-up. I had two large 16-foot long pods, and the third was a 12-foot long one.

    There was a little bit of rain damage that must have come in through the roof because one of our boxes was well soaked at the bottom. So, we did have a little bit of damage to that one box. Fortunately, it was nothing that could not be replaced. For what we needed, PODS was very good. It was convenient to use.

    I used PODS for the first time back in 2015, and I have now used them three times. At that time, I was relocating from Florida to Denver for a job and I was looking into cross-country travelers. PODS came up as the most inexpensive that allowed me to store my items in one place without having to get a storage unit. I interacted with the driver to acknowledge that I was there. They were quite equipped and professional to do their job. We did have a conversation about how far I wanted the pod to be in the driveway. They came and did their job. I didn't even know they were there at one point, from picking up and dropping off. They were very efficient.

    I could tell the pod definitely had been used. I had a little trouble with the door guard and putting my lock into place. The door handle was bent. The pod gentleman had left. So, when I went to put my lock on it, my comment was, “Oh, these have been used.” PODS should make sure that the sliding door for the locks are usable. But overall, I absolutely recommend PODS to friends. I have already done that with two friends who are also moving. So, I've tried to take advantage of the referral opportunity when it's been offered.

    This is the absolute worst way to store or ship your items. I was given a quote of 1400+ to ship my stuff from CT to Cape Cod. I had the POD delivered at the end of October. I called today to have them pick it up - because it costs 375 dollars a month on top of the 1400+ -- But the ** woman I spoke to 'Abby' said they had already charged for March--- Bringing the total so far to over 2k to sit in my driveway for 4 months.

    To start off, they recommend a POD that far exceeds the space I needed - it isn't even half full. They kept billing the wrong card. I originally paid with one card and called them within 2 weeks to give them another card for all future charges--- Twice they charged the wrong card. They don't know how to give accurate information on what POD size you need - they recommend the most expensive. They can't get billing right and charge your card 2 days early and their customer service seems to be outsourced to somewhere in Asia. Would never recommend this company to anyone.

    We were selling our home and needed temporary storage for some of our furniture. I've seen Pods around the town, read about it, seen commercials, and people have used it. My wife called one other option (a moving company), but that was too expensive. I also checked out a few other options, but Pods was the most straightforward and cost-effective choice. I rented a pod and found the booking process to be extremely simple. All I had to do was go online and enter our requirements, including how big of a unit we needed and when. It took minutes. We're in the south of Portland, Maine, and the system matched us with a local provider.

    Two drivers handle this area. We had them on each end and they were very nice guys. They managed to navigate our long driveway without any issues. Watching the machinery move the pod was fascinating. A driver asked us to move a car, which we did, to make more room, and he spun the pod in and put it down. The pod itself was spotless inside, almost like new. We put some of the furniture in it, kept it on our property, and they were very helpful. We were only moving a few houses away, so they came and took it over to our new house when we were ready for it.

    Overall, using Pods was an easy and hassle-free experience. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

    I had a contract with PODS for a drop off and relocate container. I was at my location the morning of drop off with my phone at 9:00am. My window was 9am-noon. I contacted Pods at 1:45 PM to question delivery. I was informed that the driver attempted to call at 10:45 as he was at the location. There was no one that showed up at my driveway and I did not get a call. I then tried to reschedule for the next day and was informed that Pods did not service my area. I am left with no storage for a move I need to do this weekend. The Customer Service person apologized and let me know they would not service my area.

    I would not recommend this location for storage or moving needs. My husband and I are renovating our home, so we reserved a POD to be dropped off, filled and picked up 2 days later for storage. The experience was horrible. When the driver arrived to drop off the POD, they called me to confirm location, I provided information and showed them where to place it. Once the POD was in place, the driver called back stating that he was unable to place the POD down because a tree branch was in the way and that he could leave it there but that he would rip up the tree next to the POD, I asked him to please NOT damage the property and see if we could move it around to get the machine out safely, the driver responded "it wasn't his job and he would just rip the tree out, that's not his problem".

    I again informed he did not have permission to damage the property and that I had confirmed that site with customer service, the driver then responded "it's your own fault for listening to customer service, they don't know anything and that he wasn't leaving the POD and I can call them to complain he had things to do". He then hung up on me. We then called customer service, but I received a call from the driver's supervisor, once I explained what happened, the supervisor stated "well it's raining and the driver has 6 other jobs, that's why he responded that way". The supervisor then instructed me to go outside and speak to the driver myself and show him another location to place the POD, I explained that I wasn't comfortable with that, due to the conversation I just had with the driver and that I am 8 months pregnant, the supervisor didn't care.

    In today's economy, paying for a service like this isn't easy and not cheap, and if a customer makes a decision to spend their hard earned money with a business, you expect good customer service and value in the service. I called customer service afterwards and all I asked for was for a call from the site manager and never received a call. These people do not care about customer service, they just take your money and move on. I would not use this business/location again.

    This was an absolutely horrible experience. To start, the hours of operation at the PODS centers is extremely restrictive and inflexible. Then when I went to pick up my POD, they refused to take it out because they said closing was at 3 pm and it was 2 pm so I was too late. I told the guy that I would come back the next day. However, when my movers got there the next morning, the PODS center there was no one there.

    After waiting an hour (and yes, I paid them hourly), one worker showed up and told them that my POD could not be accessed today because I had not given them a 24-hour notice. To make matters worse, he used derogatory language to describe me. After 2 hours of my movers begging to get my stuff, the guy finally caved but insisted that he yell at me on the phone first. I tried to talk to customer service and got terrible service. Ultimately, the whole experience was extremely traumatic and as a young woman who just moved across the country alone, it made me extremely uncomfortable.

    Worst company ever. Moved from Boise Idaho to Austin Texas. Upon arrival in Texas several boxes and items were missing. The company could ABSOLUTELY CARE LESS. They told us "file an insurance claim." Insurance company wants pictures of stuff that was stolen. (As if we have pictures of clothes-dishes, vases, and furniture and other household items.) WE are just being given the runaround because they have corrupt thieving employees who steal your stuff and they don't want to be held accountable. Better to rent your own truck and do it yourself and not let it out of your sight.

    I first heard about Pods when I saw a commercial, and I liked the idea of having a storage container delivered to my home for convenient packing. I was moving out of state and needed a flexible solution since I was staying with a friend for a couple of months before my move to South Carolina. Initially, the customer service was excellent, and I signed up for the service. However, I was unaware of the extra fee for choosing a specific delivery time.

    The delivery of the pod to my home was smooth, and the representative was very helpful. But when it came to accessing my belongings, things took a turn. The lack of clear directions at the storage facility and miscommunication about appointment time led to a very frustrating experience. I had a hard time locating the storage facility as it was not properly marked, and I was upset that there was no one available to assist me during the scheduled time. Eventually, my brother had to help me open the pod due to its improper placement.

    While the actual transportation of my belongings was handled well and nothing was broken, the entire experience was marred by poor customer service and unexpected fees for delivery scheduling and transferring the pod locally in South Carolina. Despite paying over $3,600 for the service, I felt nickeled and dimed for several aspects of the process, which I believe should have been made clearer at the outset. In the end, while I'm satisfied I received my belongings intact, the customer service left much to be desired.

The booking process was straightforward; I used either the Internet or the telephone, and once I understood their system, it was not difficult. However, everything is managed centrally, which means I couldn't communicate directly with the local facility, even though it was less than a mile from me.

    A significant issue I encountered was the weight limit for the large pod I rented. They provided a maximum weight limit, but there was no clear way to determine if I was within that limit, as there was no method provided to weigh the pod. Upon pickup, I asked how much it weighed, and the employee mentioned that, despite working there for several years, he had never weighed a pod.     I lived in a very large community and I saw neighbors using PODS. I used an 8-foot pod to transport my belongings from Florida to Oklahoma. Booking could be a little bit easier but I was able to get somebody on the phone to answer my questions. They gave me a quote and I told them to send me an email. And they sent me one with the quote. When I called back to book it, the person said he could even give me a little bit better deal because they need people to get pods out of Florida. Because everybody's moving to Florida, they have an abundance of pods so he gave me a little bit of a discount. So, that was very nice. There was one company that was a little cheaper, but their pod was smaller, which was why I went with PODS. So, it was fine.

    The pod was clean and excellent. The door was a little bit difficult to roll up and down but I'm not exactly the strongest person in the world. Other than that, the pod was fine. I was very impressed with the process that they used to pick it up and keep it level as much as possible. The quote was spot-on. Exactly what they told me it was gonna cost is what it cost. They even had to store it for me for a little bit. They had to drive through snow in bad conditions. I even thought on the way that I saw my pod go by, which was cute. The website was great and helped a lot in terms of knowing what time frame my pod was gonna be delivered and picked up. From the beginning to the end, the customer service, the delivery, the pick-up, the delivery in Oklahoma, the pick-up at Oklahoma, I can't say enough good things about PODS.     In the beginning they were great! Later I found out you have a pick up fee! I called to let them know that I did not have the fee in my account and please stop debiting my account. I gave them a day I would make payment. Customer service stated they will do that and wait for me to call in payment. But what happen they still debited my account the day before, I was going to call in and make payment and removed my car note payment!!!! When I called to complain, they put me on hold for over 15 minutes! And when someone did come back on the phone, she said, "Well, we already have the payment so what's the problem!!!!"     When the first pot was delivered everything was okay but after that everything went haywire they dropped apart and dropped it out into the parking lot which was not even in the driveway of my home. Left it there for 2 days then when they brought the pods out to the new home they positioned them in a way where it was hard to access getting stuff out of them. They did not pick those pads up from the new home until 4 or 5 days later after it was due for them to pick up because they said that they could not grab the pot at its grabbing points which I find hard to believe but it was very chaotic.     I have used Pods storage containers multiple times, initially for short distances and now for longer ones. My experiences have been excellent. The drivers are always courteous and accommodating, ensuring everything runs smoothly during pickups and deliveries. What impresses me the most is their recognition of individual needs and their willingness to accommodate them. However, I feel their phone service could be improved, particularly the method of communication through texts, as it often feels cumbersome. It seems like it gets dumped on the customer rather than them. So, it takes me a lot of time to do something very simple as confirming a time. Despite this, I would still rate Pods highly and continue using their service.

    There seems to be some mix up about this claim. It has been extremely frustrating that the claim is translated through several people instead of direct communication. If anything this has been a constant frustration with PODS customer service. In fact, when the first pick up date came the driver told me he was rescheduling for Saturday, a couple days later because it would make no difference. I did not request this and argued with him about possibly getting a charge for doing so and he insisted (in front of witnesses) that this would not be the case per the contract. His response was that they would never know and he already rescheduled it. Since you were closed for the Holiday I figured he knew what he was talking about. Of course then I was charged and I had to fight that.

    The customer is told one thing by agents/workers and the company says another and holds you to a contract signed prior to anything going amiss. Your employees should not be giving direction if they have no authority to do so. NOW, THIS CLAIM IS NOT ABOUT RESCHEDULING. It was not rescheduled by me. IT ALSO WAS NOT OVERFILLED. When I alerted POD S that the door was stuck I still had two days until pickup. I still had items to put in the container as the front 1/3 was not packed on top.

    The door jammed on a piece of plastic at the top back of the roller.. We could see this by putting a phone camera under the door. I reported this immediately in the early morning hours. No one came out until the next day. The person who came to un-stick the door did not know what to do. He put a stick in and that didn't work. He told me to have someone else come out so I did. I commented that this could not be the first time a door stuck and was very surprised at the lack of knowledge as to how to address the issue.

    The next person - the following day - tilted the pod. This did not work. They started scaring me telling me they would probably use a forklift back at the storage to force it open and that I would have to entirely repack the pod (I already had repacked it twice paying labor both times). This method concerned me as my contents were fragile.

    They said they didn't have the knowledge or equipment to do anything but they would "on the other end and the best thing was to send the pod for delivery and let them take care of it in SC, that they had the equipment". He told me to ship the remainder of my things or that the company might send another POD for the remainder of my things. When I called the office they said to ship my items and I would be reimbursed. The cost to ship was way cheaper than sending another POD, so I agreed to this method. I had to leave several items behind that could not be shipped.

    Finally, the POD was delivered without event and I requested the delivery guy open the door. He tilted the POD and the door was pushed open by myself and him. The difference was he left the POD tilted while the door was opened. The guys in San Diego did not know to do this. They kept putting the pod back down in the original position and tried to open the door that way - right back where originally was.

    This just seems like incompetence to me. I have a picture of the plastic if you need to see it. Such a flimsy piece of material for such a hastle. If your customers knew how delicate the mechanism is they would certainly think twice about using them. The removal of the plastic did not damage the door mechanism in any way.

    In addition to the over $600 postage fees and me having to abandon some of my possessions, the person driving my car across country had to fly back to MN due to me not being able to leave on schedule ($$ plane ticket) and my sister had to fly out to help me drive the car across country (another last minute $$ plane ticket).

    I am only asking for the cost of postage to be reimbursed at this time, as indicated by your agents. The matter has repeatedly been discussed with agents because I had to keep following up for any response. They kept confirming "not to worry, I would be reimbursed". But now I get some denial based on overloading the POD? I think not. This is just an easy conjecture on your part to get out of the claim. There is no basis for it. The guy who first came to open the pod could not get the door open so he has no first hand knowledge of what was in it, nor the second one. Please take care of this matter before I have to publish the unfortunate episode and ask for the resulting damages on top of the postage cost.

    Everything started off OK with the exception of a driver who would not listen to reason and tried to do a 180 in the driveway causing some damage to the lawn and completely blackening the driveway I just had cleaned for the house sale. The next step was finding a home with 3 separate locations, Florida, Arizona and Texas, Rio Grande Valley. Well the price to Florida was reasonable since it was close to North Carolina. The house fell through in Florida, and we switched to Arizona. The Price went up a little and was still reasonable. We then decided on Texas and went house hunting and rented a condo to hunt. We paid the storage in North Carolina. The price to move to Texas was absurd. It went WAY up. I questioned the price and couldn't get a straight answer. I also couldn't understand some of the operators on the phone. English was the 2nd language.

    Our info was deleted off the order and we spent some time trying to get it reinstalled. It was never explained. Emails were also sent to us and would disappear overnight. So we did receive our home goods and I did unload everything undamaged. Still I would search for all other option next move or rent a Penske Truck like I've done in the past. The best part of the whole experience was the drivers on the destination end. These guys were very good at what they do.

And they’ve been hounding us nonstop trying to charge our card for $400 after they picked up their container already and keep trying to charge our card to the point where we had to change our cards to secure our rent money and our new location so we be on time for our rent. This is totally unacceptable and disgusting and I told him that I was gonna write this review. I held off on it for quite some time and they kept pushing and pushing and pushing..

    Packing and moving after 30 plus years was overwhelming and daunting. Deciding who to use was the easy part. We choose PODS for its efficient handling of the move part. We finally packed the PODS and they were taken locally to a warehouse. Luckily it was accessible so we could add to the POD.     PODS is a great way to contain your household items when transferring from one home to another and not having a very definite closing date when purchasing another home. Their staff are all helpful, and allowed me to change dates on delivery and pick up throughout my move. If you use your pod for 30 days or less, there's no extra charges and they actually give you a 3 day grace period beyond the 30 days before charging 1/2 month rental. Up until 14 days (17 days really) before a month is charged. The containers are ample in size I rented a 16'. I only needed a small closed trailer after loading pod for items not allowed in the pod, and that cost was minimal too. Though I used another company for the trailer. I will definitely use pods again if I move again. Thank you PODS for having this simple and easy to use service. It really took a lot of stress away knowing my items were secure, safe, and easily scheduled to move.

    We recently moved cross country and knew we wouldn't start house hunting until we arrived, so we thought we would try PODS since they could hold all of our items until we purchased a house on the other side. We had a lot of issues with the move, including having to change the date, getting hit by 2 Hurricanes in the 2 weeks before we left, having issues with our credit card not wanting to release payment because of security concerns, and getting the furniture in pretty last minute once we moved in.

    The one thing I could count on was PODS always doing everything they could to help. They picked up our first POD early, before a hurricane hit, so it was secure in their facility. They worked with us when our bank was being difficult and made sure the PODs arrived and were picked up when they should despite bad weather on the receiving end as well. The only issue I had with PODS was due to a miscommunication on their part during our original quote and they worked with me to resolve that. They were such a joy to work with.

    I used PODS twice. The first time I moved from Visalia, CA to Oahu Hawaii. They were absolutely wonderful, and really did an amazing job. None of my stuff got broken, and the price was great considering how far I was moving. The customer service was absolutely stellar, and every question I asked was answered with total professionalism. Most amazingly, a real live person actually comes to the phone instead of having to deal with a freaking robot computer call menu. A couple years later, I moved from Hawaii to Indiana. Of course I called PODS. Once again, they did an amazing job and all my stuff made it without getting broken or lost or anything bad. The people who work there (phone lines as well as delivery truck people) are very nice, timely and considerate. I hope I don’t have to move again anytime soon, but if I do I will definitely call PODS. They totally rock!

    Moving has got to be # 1 in stressful events. We are so thankful we chose to use PODS this time around. We had used every type of moving before - large professional, national movers to U-Haul, and those were exhausting and disappointing to say the least. We were ready to try Pods & would use them again in a heartbeat. They were reasonably priced and we used their recommendation that (1) 16’ foot storage Pod was about 1,000 sq. feet of our interior of our home. So we used (2). Truthfully could have used a third smaller one for not having thought about the garage contents and outdoor furniture.

    We hired some local help to pack up the pods, and we had carefully packed at our convenience all our belongings into boxes and containers. Pods was reliable and kept their promises on deliveries. The gentlemen were polite and helpful and nothing was broken or ruined in any way. The tips they provide are exactly what you need to pack carefully.

They were not allowing the POD to stay on the premises so there were a few changes to delivery date and the way the POD was delivered (truck stayed with POD until items were removed).     Best decision made to stage home for sale and still have access to items stored for moving out of town. It was a bit costly but sometimes you have to pay for convenience.
