    I got different quotes for my move. That was likely due to the changes I had to make. Most of my phone experience was very frustrating with long wait time while the staff checked on things. Most of the people I spoke with had very thick accents that were difficult to understand. My last call was to try to recoup an extra charge that I was not told about. Because of street sweeping on the day of delivery, I had requested an afternoon delivery. I was not told that I would be charged an extra $288! That last call had already lasted quite a while when I was put on hold while she checked something. After an additional 20 minutes of holding, I hung up. I have to say that all of the drivers were fabulous, and the staff at the Sacramento PODS storage were great. Phone customer service jobs should not be given to people that can’t be understood.

    From the first call to the final pickup the service was absolutely wonderful! They kept to the schedule without fail. The drivers very helpful and polite and went over how to use.     The price was comparable with other pack your own movers but I liked the idea that the POD could be dropped anywhere and then picked up. Everything went well and I was even able to access my POD after it had been loaded and moved to the warehouse. There was a miscommunication with the warehouse and they said everything was set to go but I had not called in a pickup request. The POD arrived late and went over the 30 days but POD was willing to not charge for a second month. Thank you.

    The service was great as far as drops and pick ups, those that I did interact with were nice and professional. We ended up needing 2 pods, I think this is where they make most of their money, it was costly, but the convenience outweighs the cost, I will say though, IF there is another move in our future, we will hire movers!!!

    Referred to PODS by a previous user. PODS were perfect for what we needed. We ended up using three 16 foot PODS. The drivers were excellent and placed the PODS in the exact spot to facilitate loading or unloading. Changes to plans were easily executed on the PODS website. If I had anything critical at all, it was the 12 foot PODS can’t be used on interstate moves, to be fair I didn’t estimate as well as I thought I did, but that’s another story. Our household goods arrived as scheduled and unbroken. Everything looked the way we loaded it. I never plan on moving again, but if I was it would be PODS.

    We switched from a Upack reservation to PODS less than 2 weeks before our move date because we decided on a bigger container and Upack didn't have any. The reservation with PODS was easy, if thorough. They had the size container we wanted AND offered a Saturday pick up day (the day after the 4th of July) which was very desirable to us. We moved out of an apartment and had to fit the container into two adjacent parking spaces. The driver on the day found them without assistance and gave us pointers on packing. The whole things was picked and delivered on time as arranged, nothing broken. Once we emptied it they promptly came and collected it again. We have nothing but good things to say.

    Moving is inherently stressful and during some of the process I found the need to have to reach out to customer service for help. Unfortunately the online portal does not allow chat function for Canadian customers which was disappointing. After calling the service number however my issues were sorted quickly. They were not able to so because they couldn't, I would not be charged for the two days my stuff was in storage. Even after deducting it from my account I disputed it.     At first we were pleased with the discounted price and the ease of delivery. The problem came when we had to extend the pick up date. There was no discount on the Pod so it was a lot more expensive. After we paid for that, we got another charge for the Pod pickup. We didn't realize that was an additional charge. We were glad they were there when we needed them but I doubt if we will use them again.

    I could not have been more pleased with my experience with PODS. Starting with their customer service team (who was extremely helpful and nice) as they explained every step, including what charges would hit my credit card and when they would hit. There were no surprises, and everything ran like a well-oiled machine. I received notifications the day before the drivers arrived, to give me a window of time that the drivers would arrive, and the drivers called when they were on their way to let me know the time they would arrive.

    Once the driver arrived, the process went very quickly with the unloading of the POD. If you have not seen one unloaded before, take a few minutes to watch it.... amazing. The driver showed me how to get in and out of the POD and he was on his way. The pick-up of the POD went just as smooth. After the pickup, I was informed where my POD was, and it actually arrived at the destination earlier than expected, so I could have it delivered to me earlier. They were flexible with the pick-up of the empty POD and like always, let me know in advance when they were going to be there and they were on time. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family.

    “Everything Was Fine... Until Delivery Day Became a Disaster” I honestly thought I had made a smart choice by going with PODS. The booking process was smooth, the pickup went well, and I was actually impressed—until delivery day came around and the entire experience went straight to hell. First, the delivery arrived early but they refused to accomodate my request to have it delivered earlier. I am several requests with no call back. I had to call multiple times just to get vague answers and empty promises. Every time I spoke to someone, I got a different story: “The request was submitted and someone should contact you."

    When the POD finally did arrive, I cleared it out in one day and notified them so they can use it again for another customer. I was permitted to have the container for 3 days, but I clearly communicated in advance, complete with photos and measurements that the container was ready. I asked for my second container, but instead of working with me, the company acted like they couldn't be bothered. I ended up having to rearrange my entire unloading plan because of their poor coordination. When the second container arrived they wouldn't release me it without me signing a form releasing them of all liability.

    Keep in mind I didn't sign any forms for the first container. At that point, I just wanted the ordeal to be over. I considered calling the cops but rather opted to get my belongings. PODS might work for some people, but if your delivery day matters even a little—don’t take the risk. They were great up until the one moment that actually counted... And then completely dropped the ball. The containers were taken from NJ to NV.

    Deceptive Trade Practices. My emailed quotes (done on the same day) were much less than the final receipt and quote. Watch out as they try to say the discount was only good for the first month but that is not stated anywhere online or in my email. Online and emailed quotes say "Monthly recurring" charge and the Representative (3) try to ignore this completely to justify a large increase in their Monthly recurring charge. Bait and switch!

    I would avoid using PODS at all times. They customer service is unhelpful, their delivery times are a guess, their C suite is unresponsive to outreach and they do nothing to build trust with a customer. Hours of fighting to understand when a POD is being collected, where it is, when it will arrive, when it will be collected... but no shortage of threatening calls to pay them money. There are other options - use those.

    This has been the worse experience I’ve ever had with PODS for a move and I own a moving company and never had to deal with a situation like this. I have spoken to over 10 different reps and 3 “supervisors“ and no one put my request in for an earlier drop off and no one ever did it. I have been placed on hold for 30 minutes several times and nobody comes back to help me. The lack of transparency in regards to my personal items is very frustrating and unacceptable. This company quick to take payment but very slow with helping.

    The first guy I spoke to from PODS wasn’t as helpful as I would have thought. He just read me their rates. I called back because I was looking online and got a different price. The second gentleman I talked to was awesome because he found discounts and really shaved some significant money off the original quote.

    To put it in perspective, I reached out to a number of moving companies and for what I was moving, the prices were outrageous. So, the second time was the charm. Pickup and delivery went fine. It was exactly what I expected. The workers were very professional and on time. No complaints whatsoever.

    I got a 16-foot pod. It was probably too big. I could have went smaller, but I didn’t want to stack high in one pod. I was moving from the northeast of Florida, so I didn’t want multiple stacks and the chance of that shifting and doing damage.

    It was better to pay a couple hundred extra and get the larger one. It worked out fine. The contents did not shift at all. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it to find everything still intact exactly as I placed them.

    Once I did everything and signed in online, I could track everything and be notified. They kept everything up-to-date and on time. I also enjoyed having text messages to and from when the deliveries were gonna be made. I was still fully informed without even me going into my sign-in and logging into the website.

    Going with PODS is a good deal. They give you the flexibility to load as much as you need to. They were very efficient. Everyone was great. Overall, I was extremely happy with the service and the quality.

    We chose PODS last minute to move from New York to North Carolina because the other service provider bailed on us because it was the holiday weekend. PODS also gave us a better deal. I had an excellent experience with everybody. Every time I had to contact them, there was somebody on the phone pretty quickly. They were easy to understand. Obviously locals, not outsourced, at least I assume. All the interactions we had were great. I had no problems.

    We took a 16-foot pod which served as an overflow for some of our heavier stuff that we couldn't get up on the truck because it's too high up. The condition of our pods was about what I expected. It wasn't brand new, but it was clean inside and a little weather-worn on the outside. There was like a patch, but I wasn't concerned that anything was going to leak. Both deliveries were great. The people delivering the truck in New York and in North Carolina were very helpful and very accommodating. It was all great. We had no problems at all.     Booking a pod at PODS is easy. I did a quote, and they sent you their quote by email. Then you pay to make it official. Once I paid, they started sending communications, and it was very clear what the next steps were.
    You then pick a date for the pod to be delivered. While you don’t get to choose a specific time, they do deliver it on that day. They also ask you to confirm the delivery the day before to make sure you still want it delivered.
    The pod was clean and sturdy. I never questioned it when I saw it. I also liked the size, because I had looked at another company that wanted to deliver three smaller pods instead of one large pod. That automatically steered me back to PODS, because I didn’t want three small ones. It’s already hard enough to fit one pod in the driveway.
    The only drawback is where they can place the pod. Because it’s so large and delivered using a hydraulic truck, they need a lot of room to drop it off and pick it up. In the DC area, parking can be tight, but that has nothing to do with them. That’s on me and where I chose to move..

    Unlike using U-Haul, where you move everything into a storage facility and then move it out again a month or two later, PODS avoids moving too many times. They drop the pod in the driveway, you load it, and they come pick it up. It was a perfect service for my situation, and it worked exceptionally well.

    The very first call I made with PODS was a little convoluted. But when I decided to place the order, it was very smooth from that point on. Everything was great. All the drivers, except for one of them, called to let me know when they were on their way. It was just that very first one who didn't call. But he called the other number that was on my account. That was fine because then I adjusted it in my portal.

    The only criticism I had was that we had a pod scheduled and then I changed the date. It asked me on my portal, "Which way does your garage face?" I chose the layout of everything. When the driver came, he had the pod facing a different direction. I said, "Well, I filled that out." The driver said they didn’t see any of that. I thought, "What's the point of doing that if the drivers don't know?" In the end, we were able to make it work.

    PODS was a wonderful company to work with. I had a lot of questions, like if I could move this or change this. Everybody was unbelievable. I have never worked with a company where every single person was so friendly, nice, and competent. PODS is a fantastic company from top to bottom. I only wish I could have tipped my drivers. The whole service was expensive so I hope they were paid well.

One of the problems in moving is the container was advertised as enough for one to two bedrooms, and it didn't take that much. People should review the amount of stuff they’re moving and to see if one pod is going to be enough.

    I moved from Santa Cruz, California from one coast to Conway, South Carolina. It's just inland from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I needed help with a cross-country move and I had fun booking the pod. The guy that I was on the phone with was an absolute doll. We had a good time and and talked about other stuff. It was a very pleasant experience.

    The gentleman came one morning and unloaded it with the podzilla. The pod was 16x9x9 and it was really fun to watch and see how this goes. Whoever invented this, I hope they're rich and enjoying life because it's an amazing invention. The pod was great, very clean and and ready to go as soon as he dropped it off. I had ordered some moving blankets and those were already in the pod ready for me to use them. I also ordered one of their locks to put on it, and they had that available for me.

    It was delivered on Saturday, June 28th. They picked it up on Tuesday, July 1st. The only glitch in the whole thing was, it was supposed to arrive here in South Carolina on the 17th. But there was a delay in the travel coming across the country, so it was pushed off until the 22nd. I had to arrange with the people on this end that were helping me unload it. But it wasn't a big deal.

    I used PODS before, so I went with them again. Setting up with the rep was all done by phone and fairly easy. I moved from Florida to Delaware, and both the pick-up and delivery went flawlessly.     I have never written a review like this before but am shocked at the service I just received from Pods. I scheduled the Pod - it was confirmed, I signed the documents, entered my cc info, etc. Fully confirmed. I then scheduled long haul movers (and paid half of a large number) to move my stuff from where I am now, into the pod (based on when the pod would be delivered).

    Then, Pods called me to tell me that actually they don't deliver to my area on Fridays so they can deliver the pod the following Wednesday (of course, my move is scheduled for Saturday). I asked if they could deliver it this Wednesday or Thursday so that the pod is available for my move and they said no. I asked to speak with a manager and they said no.

    The call was being recorded and the woman I spoke with wasn't even apologetic - she acted like I should have zero issue with this and its not a big deal. She probably wasn't feeling comfortable acting like the company did anything wrong. She said that the people who do the driving decide this and they called her to tell her and there's nothing she can do - and those people don't take calls. Pods is a huge company (and I've used them twice before) so I assume that if I successfully schedule a pod, that it will arrive on that day. And if not, they will make efforts to accommodate me in some other way. I was told I was SOL. Extremely unprofessional.

    The people who moved us thought that the best way to go was PODS, so they recommended them to us. That turned out correct.     I needed some sort of container as my family and I moved about four miles away from where we were living. I had priced everything out with either a full-service moving company or similar companies like PACK-RAT. And it really just came down to the price when it came to PODS.

    It was really simple using their website--you pick what you need, you pick the dates, and you go from there. It felt very much like trying to book an airline ticket. I got an email with a delivery window when I booked the date. It was a three-hour window.

    That morning, the driver who had my pod on his truck called me to tell me what time he'd be there. We coordinated things, tried to figure out if there was a gate code that I gave him. And then he showed up almost exactly when he said he'd be there. Then he backed it up in my driveway, took a picture, and was out of there in about 15 minutes.

    The driver mentioned that it was a refurbished pod, which was a little bit obvious. You have to push on the door a little bit just to get it to roll up and to come down. But it's something you would expect from normal wear and tear. The cleanliness, overall, was great. It worked exactly as I expected.

    Working with PODS was probably the easiest moving process. If you want to do the labor yourself, it's akin to renting a U-Haul without any of the stress of having to drive it anywhere.

    The PODS experience has been nothing short of frustrating and deeply disappointing. The website is bulky, unintuitive, and barely functional. After waiting over an hour to speak to a customer service representative, I was logged out within a minute of finally getting connected—without resolution. Payments were withdrawn well before the scheduled dates, sometimes weeks in advance, without notice or consent.

    I was explicitly told I would not be charged an additional month of rent due to an error on their end. That promise was broken, and I was charged anyway. The storage facility my container was sent to turned out to be outside the service area of my destination—information I was not given beforehand. As a result, I was hit with an unexpected $400 in extra charges. To make matters worse, the facility didn’t even allow in-person access, so I had no choice but to pay for home delivery, despite wanting to avoid it. This company is uncommunicative, underhanded, and consistently fails to honor its own commitments. Customers deserve transparency, not traps.

    I used PODS to pack up our garage, store it for about three weeks, and move it to the new house we bought. I’ve used them before around 22 years ago when we were moving from Alexandria, Virginia to Phoenix, Arizona. We also used them to declutter our house to put it on the market and it worked out really well for us that’s why we used PODS again.

    The cost was very reasonable, particularly when you start adding up pickups and deliveries. We got texts ahead of time from the drivers saying they were on their way and they told us exactly what they were gonna do. The equipment was just fantastic. We had had some marks out on the concrete on our driveway and they put it right there. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Same thing when they picked up and delivered the pod, they put it exactly where we needed for it to be so that we could unload it more easily. Things worked out really well and I would definitely use PODS again.

    Had an awful experience. They were late for the pick-up. I waited 6 hours and had to pay movers extra. Then at drop off the day of they cancelled "driver's opinion"! They did not tell me they cancelled, it was just when I called them to ask where the pod was. This was a cross country move so all my stuff was in that pod that I confirmed for weeks then days before to drop off. I had to end up renting a uhaul the following day to get my stuff out of storage. They said they would investigate, weeks went by only to tell me they could not drop off the container in the space provided. Sure enough I find a 16 ft pod in the very place they said my 8ft pod could not be dropped off.

    They spent weeks "investigating" only to send me bot replies. Then an investigator saying there is nothing else to do even with photo evidence of a pod in the spot they cancelled on me the day of WITH NO CALL OR TEXT TELLING ME! They offered to pay for my uhaul (not cost of the movers that did not move anything or the cost of my time waiting for a pod that never showed up). Plus paid for extra insurance to find out my oled TV (that was in its box) was broken. Took a month to get the reply "no coverage due to natural shipping". Terrible experience. Would not do again!

    The process with Pods began smoothly with an intuitive start online before switching to direct assistance. I opted for two of their largest containers, and the whole delivery process was seamless. They were consistent with their procedure, providing details and arrival windows via email, and ensuring everything ran according to plan during pickup and delivery.

    I rented the Pods for roughly three weeks and encountered no mishaps; the service was purely for moving, and it was carried out excellently. Both pods arrived sturdy and clean, with one appearing newer. The overall interaction was exceptional and much more cost-effective than renting a traditional U-Haul. I particularly appreciated the service of the drivers, who were friendly and went out of their way when facing challenges, such as avoiding low overhead wires at my previous residence.

    All my belongings remained safe, just as I had packed them. I am impressed by their service and would recommend it to others seeking efficient and flexible moving and storage solutions.

    I needed flexible moving storage and discovered PODS online. I was impressed with the convenience they seemed to offer, and our interaction with their customer service team when booking over the phone was smooth and efficient. The agent we worked with was knowledgeable and communication was excellent. When the pod was delivered, I found it to be exceptionally clean and it seemed sturdy, though I’ll know more once we retrieve our items out of storage. It looks great though.

    When the pod was dropped off at our place, we filled it before it was taken to storage. We’re expecting two more shortly under similar conditions. We'll fill them, send them to storage and then they're gonna be delivered to our residence in a couple of months. The service has proven incredibly convenient—easily aligning with our needs as we transition between homes. Though it's not the cheapest choice, the flexibility and quality of service provided really stand out, making it an excellent option for anyone needing to store belongings during a move. If you're moving and can't move into your home immediately, it's a great option. I've recommended it to several of our family members that are moving as well.

    I chose PODS because I like the idea that I could take my time about loading them up. Quite a few people in my neighborhood were remodeling or moving and had PODS on their front yards, and that's where I got PODS from. My decision was reinforced by positive feedback from others in my neighborhood, which ultimately influenced my choice to go with them. Booking a pod was a breeze; I just specified my requirements and selected suitable dates from the given options. I truly appreciated having control over the schedule.

    When the pods were delivered, the drivers were friendly and professional, ensuring a smooth and straightforward process. I ended up using two PODS: one for about three days and the other for around two days. They were hefty, approximately 16 feet by 8 feet, which was perfect for my needs.     Paid PODS for a year of storage and as near as I can tell they lost my pod. I have been trying to get my pod back for over a month. They just lie to me time and time again. Original delivery was to be June 19th, I am still trying to get on July 29th. NOT ABLE TO TALK TO ANYONE IN THE US. They say someone will call but appears to be just another lie.

    Zero stars if I could. I packed my pod and it was set to leave the original location on July 1st and be delivered to the new location on July 14th. On July 13th, I received a delivery window, on the 14th the driver called me to say he would load up and come to me next. Hours go by, nothing. I call the driver- turns out the warehouse didn't have my POD and the manager informed the driver NOT to call me and tell me. The manager didn't call me either. Oh, and my POD was still in the state of the original location and had never been transported. No one was going to tell me! I spent over 4 hours on the phone the first day and another 2-3 hours with customer service for the next 4 days after. Utter chaos. Stay away. Terrible. Your sanity deserves better.

    My troubles started when I made my first phone call to get an estimate from PODS, I wanted to compare them against pack rats. I decided to go with pods and so the gentleman helping me asked me how much stuff I had. I told him I had a three bedroom home with a lot of stuff in it and two large sheds stuff to the ceiling with boxes. He told me that one pod should be fine. I’m not even sure what size he had in mind but the biggest one I’ve ever seen surely could not fit all my stuff. He told me, "Oh no, you would be so surprised to see how much they fit in one pod."

    I was still very uncomfortable and told him I think I need a second pod so he said we could have one on back up if we needed it. So a few days before my move, I called them and told them to deliver both pods at the same time. What they delivered to me was two 6 x 6 pods. They were small. I have no idea if this is what he had in mind but when the Packers showed up, they told me, "There is no way you’re gonna fit all your stuff in those two pods."

    My sofa alone would not even fit into one. I ended up leaving my furniture behind. This is even after I ordered a third pod, which cost me a lot of extra money and again I asked for a larger pod. They delivered a 6 x 6. And this was still not enough to hold all my belongings. I was so upset that I could not even speak to the representative on the phone. My sister took over for me what they figured out was They didn’t have a driver to bring me a pod, but we could rent a U-Haul, put the things in the U-Haul. Take it to the storage area where the pod is and load the pod ourselves. And that is what we did still leaving behind all my furniture except for my bed, all my lawn equipment and more.

    This was the worst experience I have ever had. I have no idea if they ever gave me any money off, but it was a total rip off. I trusted somebody who knew what they were doing to tell me what I needed for my move and they misled me and caused this to happen. I will say the drivers were very good at delivering the pods. And my sister who works in customer service said that theirs was good. It was what happened in between that ruined my move for me.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If I could leave no stars I would. My 70 year old mother in law ordered a POD. The contract stated a certain date to be picked up and delivered to new house. This company changed the date and gave her less than 24 hour notice. We traveled from MS to PA to help her move and they now will not be delivering the POD until after we have left. They breached the original contract and refuse to compensate her in any way. They also have it scheduled to be picked up the SAME DAY. So she will only have a few hours to empty this POD on her own at 70 years old. This company is terrible! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    I've used PODS in the past and was very satisfied. This time though, has left a bad taste inn my mouth - why - my PODS was scheduled to be delivered on the 23 of June.... I made multiple calls to your phone number and at first the driver said she was getting my container for delivery that morning.... All of a sudden it's 2 in the afternoon and after multiple calls to PODS not only could anyone tell me where my unit was, none of those I spoke with seemed very concerned.

    I was given multiple excuses, accidents on the road, can't find my unit (yet the previous day I was told my unit had arrived in VA (from FLA) and was ready for delivery. Yes, the unit was delivered on the 24th - had a very frank discussion with the driver (I won't provide that negative conversation). Would I use your service in the future - that's a hard call.... JC

    PODS has delayed my container drop-off by 9 days, leaving me without access to my belongings during a critical time. I've contacted customer service at least six times, but no one has been responsive or helpful. To make matters worse, their customer portal isn't working either, making it impossible to get updates or manage the situation. This delay has caused significant stress and unexpected costs—who will cover the hotel stay and the non-refundable moving labor I already scheduled? Be aware: their service is “subject to availability,” which seems to be a blanket excuse for delaying deliveries indefinitely. I trusted PODS for a smooth move, but unfortunately, the experience has been anything but. I would strongly caution others to consider alternatives.

    Moved from Texas to Oregon. Obviously best price you can get for a move...I don't know if anyone could really beat it unless you use UHAUL. Whenever you call or message, you WILL be talking to a call center person who won't know anything about what you are calling for. Trying to call for an issue means hold times are VERY LONG, both on the chat and on the phone. I was told the move from state to state would take 5-7 business days originally.... then was told later, when pod was en route, it would be 12-14 days.

    The POD was not picked up for the move the day it was supposed to, and I heard nothing from them. Spent over an hour on the phone to make sure it would get picked up the next day. This did result in a delay of the pod arriving to the new state. The pod was finally picked up today and I see that I was also charged for 5 moving blankets, $20 each, on my first invoice. I never asked for blankets...I was never told I was getting blankets...and also, they weren't with the pod. This was a $216 charge for NOTHING. I have spent over 30 minutes on the customer service chat to not even be transferred to an agent. Seems extremely skeevy to add product that I did not ask for. And then not even deliver. And now I have to go through all the hoops to even speak with someone, when I'm ready to just move on with my life.

    I used a Pod to ship furniture out of state. The entire experience was very professional and flawless. The drivers were friendly and helpful and most importantly, in contact with me. You need to answer their helpful emails and texts with confirmations on each step. If you need help loading they send referrals for labor. They provide helpful videos for loading and can even ship packing supplies. Phone support is there if you need it. This company is run very well.

    I will never use this company again. They moved my pod across the country for x amount of money and six months later I want my pod (that was in storage) to be moved back (long story) and they want 3x!!!! for no real reason. Their ** customer representative was incompetent. After getting a quote for the move of the pod I called to tell them to move it and what should have a been a 2 min. call turned into a 90 minute call of waiting while they were plugging things into their system, what is there to plug-in? Long story short, once you put your belongings in their storage they hold it hostage for 3x costs. I will never use this company again.

    Do not use PODS if you want a low stress moving experience. It does not matter the number of times you call customer service or have issue tickets submitted, they will charge you the full amount and put you through a customer service loop until you give up on trying to resolve your issues. Want your weight tickets on time? Too bad. We forgot to weigh it! (It took A WEEK of phone calls for someone to finally tell me the truth.) Want a notification when they are coming to deliver or pick-up? Sorry. Ordered a lock? We forgot it but will still charge you.

    Want a discount or reimbursement based on an issue? Better luck next call to customer service. Looks like we don't have availability to pick-up your container on time, don't worry, you won't get charged an extra month of rent. Got charged an extra month anyway. Their Service Solutions Specialist emailed me to apologize and add a discount to my invoice. That was two months ago and no discount has come through. If you're in the military, choose a different moving service.

    Avoid PODS if you value honesty and reliable service. I rented a PODS container, stored it at their facility, and was assured multiple times that delivery to my new home would not be an issue — a move of less than 100 miles. Now, PODS is refusing to deliver, claiming they “no longer service this area.” Their own representative admitted this area was previously serviced when I stored my container, but they’re now forcing me to either drive back to the storage facility and unload everything myself or hire movers at my own expense. It gets worse: Their local phone number is disconnected, The address printed on my contract is incorrect, Their website says deliveries outside normal areas can be arranged by calling a number that doesn’t work, And I’ve found dozens of other customers with the same issue.

    Meanwhile, PODS continues to bill me for storage while refusing to provide the delivery service explicitly documented in my agreement (“Redeliver Container to Your Location”). This feels like a bait-and-switch and a breach of trust. If you’re planning a move or storage and want your belongings delivered as promised, look elsewhere.

    I had a horrible experience with PODS. I scheduled my delivery for July 12th—a date I had locked in all the way back in February. A few hours before it was supposed to arrive, I got a call saying it was delayed due to "unforeseen circumstances" and rescheduled for July 16th. Then, on the morning of the 16th, I got another email saying it was delayed again—this time to July 18th—with no explanation. Both delays were blamed on “unforeseen circumstances,” but that’s completely unacceptable to happen twice to the same customer, especially with almost no notice either time.

    The worst part? I paid $84.18 for a city-issued street permit to legally place the container outside my apartment. That permit was only valid from July 12–18, and thanks to PODS repeatedly pushing back my delivery, I wouldn’t have even been able to legally use the container before the permit expired. I called customer service and was told I'd get a callback from a manager—no one ever followed up. I ended up canceling my order completely because I couldn’t keep wasting time and rearranging my entire move for a delivery that never showed. They say they'll reimburse me for the permit… We’ll see if they actually keep their word. This whole experience was unnecessarily stressful, and for a company that’s supposed to specialize in moving and logistics, PODS really dropped the ball.

    BEWARE!!! Would NOT recommend! On the initial call and setup you are told you have 30 days to fill, transport, and offload your POD. I was told my transit from NJ to TX will take approximately 4 days which is part of your 30 days. When I called to setup the transit I was then informed it would now take 13 DAYS!! This caused a problem as it fell on the last day of the 30 day rental. Keep in mind there is a 3 day grace period, but if the third day falls on a Sunday you lose that day. PODS decided to give a discount to then apply the same fee for keeping it until Monday. I was told if I am able to empty the POD and schedule pickup before Monday, I would get some money back for their mistake.

    I scheduled a group of people and was able to empty it within 4 hours of drop off. When I called for pickup I was told, "Sorry we can’t come today, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and you will not get your money back." While I have this issue with them happening I was waiting for my last POD to delivered. I paid for early delivery which is 7am-12. They arrived near the end of the window with the wrong size POD. An 8ft instead of the 16ft which was ordered. I was told they would have it corrected that day. I had a hotel setup as I was driving to my destination.

    No calls from PODS and no communication and no one showed up that day causing me to lose the hotel reservation. I called PODS the next day and was promised 7am-10am delivery for their mistake. They arrived approximately 1:15pm. Do not use this service!!! Mistake after mistake and they will not take ownership on their end for all the problems they caused.

    I needed PODS to transport my belongings from a house that I was selling to a house in another state that I was moving to. The booking process was pretty easy. I had questions during the process and they were answered. So, I knew when the pod would arrive and picked up, and when payment would be taken out of my bank account. I also knew when they would arrive at the new place. Putting that scheduling together was important.

    I had two 16-foot pods and the quality was good. They were clean. We had a problem getting the door open on one, and I called here in Oklahoma to let them know about that. The man that I talked to, who was a local guy here, was gonna go out of his way when he got off work and come over here and open that for us. We got the door open ourselves before that, so I called him back to let him know. But it was appreciated.

    When I ordered the pods, they hooked me up with moving company that does moving help in my area. Two hours before it was time to load the pods, the company that hooked us up called and said, “The movers themselves would not be able to come today because they were busy on another job.” That caused some problems. But that was the only problem of significance in the whole process.

PODS allowed us to store our belongings temporarily and move everything in one seamless sweep, without the need for a rental van or unloading and reloading possessions multiple times. They picked up our belongings, stored them until we were ready, and delivered to our new home when we called.

    Though the overall experience was smooth, there was a hiccup with the customer service via the 1-800 number. We had a misunderstanding regarding the logistics of bringing a new Pod while picking up another. The representative said it wasn't possible, but when the driver arrived, he quickly liaised with his local supervisor, and everything was resolved easily. I found the drivers and the local warehouse staff to be fantastic, but the national line could improve its communication and coordination with local teams. Despite this, I’m very satisfied with the service.

    For pricing, I found PODS to be on par with others—perhaps slightly expensive, but given what they offered in terms of convenience and service, it was reasonable. Their website was a breeze to navigate and use.

    PODS LEFT ME STRANDED!!! They refused to deliver to my final address which was in the same state where they were storing my items and was under 100 miles away. I was told "we do not deliver to that area, you will need to hire a moving company with a truck to come to our POD storage facility, unload your items into their truck and have them deliver it to your home." Never, at any time, in any of the conversations with their representatives, was I ever told that there were areas they would not deliver to. IF they had mentioned that in the first call, I would not have hired them for my move from Florida to Georgia. I explained to them that this was putting me in a stressful position because I am elderly and disabled, but they did not care. BEWARE!!

    This Company's Incompetence is profound. They lost my container with all my components inside. Currently, I am being told my container arrived at a facility that does not even exist. There is a complete disconnect on all the moving parts that occur when you move. I paid for services I did not receive and haven't heard back from anyone about being refunded. I ordered a feature they offer called city service for +500$, and I paid for a mover, 50$ an hr to help me unload my container. The container never showed. I completed wasted a whole day and paid for a mover that sat in his car and waited for my missing container to arrive. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Complete trash.

    PODS answered the phone when I first called. No other company would answer the call. PODS did, and that made all the difference. I needed three different PODS delivered at staggered times, and the phone representative was super patient, staying on the line for almost two hours to help me out. He was awesome and guided me through everything smoothly.

    The actual moving experience was impressive. The team was very polite, listened to my requests, and even gave specific instructions on how and where the PODS would be placed near my driveway. They were efficient, and I felt very taken care of.

    I used PODS to help move my mother from California to Virginia, mainly because it was the only option I was aware of at the time.     I was referred by POD to a reportedly reputable moving company and informed that if the packing took less than 4 hours, I would be refunded part of the 800.00 charged. They were done in less than an hour because I had done all the work, and it was just a matter of stacking the boxes in the trailer. They did not honor the agreement. Buyer beware and also note that if you are one day late on pickup, the company will charge you the entire month's storage fee. I have since found more reasonable and less expensive storage/moving resources. Lesson learned.

    This was the second time we used Pods for a major move. This move went smoothly both in San Jose, CA and in the Frisco TX area. Drop off & pick up of pods was as scheduled. And the driver waited to be sure we could open the back of the Pods before he left since the driveway had a slight incline. This was vastly different than our first time around in 2022 when one of the Philadelphia area locations had scheduling issues and an empty pod was left for many weeks after we had moved. My experience is to schedule exactly the # of pods you need and the exact delivery location and dates without changes - this is how the system works best. And the quality of service varies by the local Pod location. Grateful for the McKinney & San Jose crews who did a great job this time around.

    My experience was when you set up an order/contract it will be with an English 1st languge representative. When you go to schedule pickups and deliveries - English isn't their 1st language. All were friendly but some were easier than others to understand. I did not use a phone app for my Pod business as I prefer my PC. That being said I consider myself PC proficient and have many accounts to deal with online HOWEVER I found the "online" account much lacking in my ability to see an ongoing tally of costs per month. I only found PDF downloads to see previous transactions. Maybe I couldn't figure it out. I certainly tried.

    Lastly - when I read or was told that 14 days are required to schedule a delivery (loaded, last stop) I did so 12/14 days previous to it being delivered the date after closing on a condo - I was told that there were only a few days previous to closing or 5/7 days later. You can't park a POD where you don't have residence and the 6 days later - I was told by a representative that they were sorry but I would have to pay another $288 for the month because it was 3 days after the contract per month cost. NOT a Happy camper. Oh yeah, one more thing, I paid a small additional amount to have the POD originally delivered to the yard beside the house moving from. The driver said "no can do" an into the driveway it parked for months. I never saw any credit for that amount. CD **

    Beware of surprise costs. PODS will make a boneheaded error and make you pay for it. Here's what happened: Moving from NC to Ohio, and we needed to pack up our things early, before we'd had a chance to find and buy a home in OH. The delivery, packing, and removal went fine. We had told the PODS folks we were buying a house in the Cincinnati area, but didn't have an address yet. They said no problem, and shipped the container to a storage facility in Lexington, KY.

    Come to find out: the Lexington, KY facility doesn't service all parts of Cincinnati. Our new house just so happens to be outside of that facility's "service area" -- and so we are paying $800 for them to ship the container to a different storage facility and THEN to our new house. They knew we were moving to the Cincinnati area -- but didn't know exactly where yet. And instead of shipping our container to a facility that serve all parts of the Cincinnati area, they sent it to a facility that only does bits and pieces. Their error. Our cost. My husband has been on the phone for hours and had zero luck finding anyone to take responsibility. Find a better company. Or at the very least: triple check that the person you're talking to ships your container to the right facility. If they make a mistake, it'll be your wallet that pays.

    PODS - you need to do better. Your customer service is terrible. I found it impossible to get a quote. I went to the website, entered the from and to zip codes. Next screen: "We’re preparing your quote but we need your email so we can send it." Next screen, "Your quote is ready but before we can send it we need your phone number." Next screen: "Oh and we need your first and last name." Next screen: "Your quote is ready but now you have to call this number." I called the number and it was obviously a call center. The person on the phone, who was difficult to understand, wanted my address, phone number, name, everything again! I was not comfortable giving that information and asked if he could please just give me a ballpark based on the distance and size of the container. It’s not rocket science. 8 ft container going from here to there. Approximately *** dollars. He put me on terminal hold. I never received a quote.

    WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER. I will never book with PODS again and advise others to do likewise. Oliver in “customer service” is terrible!! Couldn’t answer my questions. Wouldn’t honor the original deal made when booking (they promised a free first month rental but I was charged for it on delivery of the unit). Refused to transfer me to ANYONE else who could help. Kept repeating he was Costa Rican and laughed at my request for transfer. I told him his personal information was of no concern of mine and he told me that I should care that he is Costa Rican. Did not help at all.

    Every time I asked to be transferred, he told me to call back if I wanted to talk to someone else. Like he would get in trouble for terminating the call but forced me to do so. Seriously, the conversation was insane. I couldn’t believe it. Subsequently, my emails to customer service have gone unanswered as well. One email was returned asking for additional information, but no response once it was provided. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER. I will never book with PODS again and advise others to do likewise.

    Overall good experience as we started with a 8’ container in early January for storage and then added 2 16’ containers when we moved at the start of May. Your Conway SC office/drivers were great. Followed guidance, call ahead well before the delivery. Great service. The Greenville NC office/overall were not that great. Poor communication, did not call until they arrived on the first day and on a few of the follow up services, placed in the wrong location, and drove off my drive away leaving ruts and going over a rose bush. Called customer service the night prior to first placement in NC. They did not relay any of the instructions to local office. We did not close on our property until that afternoon and could not place the unit until we actually owned the property. The unit was placed early and previous owner was upset and raised an issue.

    The Pod method was great. We had our on movers to pack the pod for departure location but used a Pod recommendation for the unpacking. The drivers were awesome and timely. The unpacking movers were efficient and meticulous! The only improvement area would be in the "night before email notification". We didn't receive the emails for the last two Pod interactions... Although the window did show the day of on the MyPODS website and the drivers always gave us at least a 30 minutes heads up.

    Awful experience. Would not recommend PODS to anyone. What they don’t tell you when you initially sign the agreement is that the dimensions they provide for the container are the EXTERIOR dimensions and do not reflect the interior size. This led to the loss of thousands of dollars of furniture that we had measured before receiving the pod and would have fit had the interior dimensions of the pod been accurate. They tore down our power wires when they picked up the power lines when dropping off the pod and then just left us with a downed line costing us time and money. They don’t tell you when the container arrives at the destination forcing you to continue to be billed for their way overpriced storage fees which for some reason start when the pod first arrives empty to your home.

    You pay storage fees the entire time it’s in transit, they say you have access to the pod when it arrives to their facility but they don’t tell you when it arrives and you have to make an appointment a week before to access your own container. I would say “you get what you pay for” but we were promised communication and a pod that was a foot larger than the one we received which was NOT what we paid for. Look elsewhere.

    I was moving my family from New Hampshire to Orlando and used PODS to not only move my house but later on my truck. Both times I was very impressed with the service. They are very communicative both during pickup and drop off. They were always on time for both and everything was delivered in the same condition as when it was picked up. The only thing I wish they had was a way to track your items during transit. Luckily I had a GPS tag that I used with my truck and could follow it the entire time. Finally, and this was not due to PODS, but they outsource the unloading services to local companies and when the person showed up his buddy never arrived and so he and I had to unload the entire POD.     If you’re planning to store your property for an extended period of time, I highly recommend finding another company. Our pod was stored in their Greensboro NC location and when we got our Pod back, it was infested with mice. Everything was destroyed and full of mouse urine and feces. We had no perishables in there and our furniture was destroyed. Zero effort on their part, keeping your property safe - beware! Also, their insurance covers nothing unless it’s a fire or struck by lightning. We had insurance through them and even then, our claim was denied. I wouldn’t use them ever again or recommend them to anyone!

    I will never work with PODS again. Never. Completely unreliable service. On Yelp in my area, they have a 2-star overall, dominated by 1-star ratings. I made an agreement with PODS Moving & Storage to deliver and pick up an 8-foot pod within a 4-day time frame, and they failed to deliver it at all. Just never arrived. As a result, I suffered much higher shipping costs when I was forced to quickly hire another shipping company - This was made necessary since the lease on my apartment was ending and I had to get my cargo out of my apartment, AND I was set to move away from the area. (Everyone who has to move has their own deadlines. You will too.) During this whole very stressful ordeal, it was made clear to me by PODS Customer Service how many problems PODS logistics and warehousing was having and thus why they could not deliver. (I was told there was a missing driver, very busy warehouse, etc...)

    When I asked PODS to reimburse me for this difference in shipping costs (between what I expected to pay PODS vs. what I did pay the 2nd shipper I was forced to hire WHEN PODS FAILED TO DELIVER), they absolutely refused and made up silly, disconnected-from-reality excuses to avoid paying. The situation was... I booked with PODS about 6 weeks prior to the delivery date. When the time came, PODS kept promising and failing to deliver the 8-foot pod over a 2-day period. By the 3rd day, the PODS Customer Service supervisor told me the pod was STILL not scheduled for delivery in the last 36 hours of the agreed upon time frame. I was then forced to cancel and book with another company. They then removed all invoices and our signed agreement documents from my online PODS account. Given they failed to deliver, you can guess why they did that.

    For the 16-foot pod they DID deliver, they called me on the morning of its scheduled pick up and said because they were overwhelmed at the warehouse, they could not pick it up for another 10 days. I had to explain to them it was parked in the public parking spaces next to my building and my parking permit ran out at midnight. I said, "If you don't come get it, the city would be within its rights to impound it." Despite how busy they claimed to be, they picked it up at 7pm. --This emphasizes that even by the final day of our agreement, the PODS warehouse had NO capacity to deliver my 8-foot container ANY time soon - UNLESS apparently when faced a financial penalty from the city.

    Despite this reality.... The PODS "Customer Advocacy" team who I filed my reimbursement claim with said that when I canceled the order for the 8-foot pod, it was still "available", but just "delayed". When in fact it was a no show. Then they said I could have re-scheduled. But again I had to have my stuff out of my apartment in less then 2 days since I had given notice I was moving out; And my travel bookings were set to leave the state; AND the $630+ street parking permit I paid for to park the pods was expiring in the next 36 hours. SO.... how was it possible to re-schedule? When I asked PODS this, they had no answer, but irrationally continued to insist re-scheduling was "still an option". They just didn't want to pay. They said canceling the 8-foot pod was my decision. NOPE. I was forced to cancel after PODS completely failed to deliver in my specified time frame.

    And why would I EVER cancel my travel bookings (which comes with their own financial penalties); and ask my apartment manager if I can stay longer (if he was even able to do that - and charge me additional rent); AND re-book a new parking permit with the city; and hire a new labor team to load my pod... Why would I take a chance to have ANY of those additional costs given PODS had already proven to be unreliable? Would PODS reimburse me for all of those extra costs too? Not a chance.

    Now imagine that this was you. Do you really want to take the chance on doing business with this company? If you do, PODS' position will be that all of the extra expense, time, inconvenience, and stress will be on YOU if/when they fail to deliver? Because that is exactly what they did to me. If I had to do it all over again, I would have hired a truck from U-Haul that offers labor for an additional cost. And I could have overseen the loading of my truck personally and then drove it myself to the final destination - and this would have guaranteed my timeframe was met that meets my needs. And this would have been infinitely cheaper, better handled, and with less stress than the b.s. I had to put up with PODS. You've been warned.

    I don’t normally write reviews, but I feel like people need to know what they’re dealing with if they book with PODS. We planned our move from NY to GA for months, had our POD scheduled to arrive Friday 6/27 so we could be out by 6/30, and then delivered in GA on 7/11 (the only day my husband could get off work to unload it). Instead, we get a call last minute at 8:30 AM Friday 6/27 — saying the POD won’t be delivered until 7/1. Zero notice. Zero accountability.

    We couldn’t reach anyone who could help. Every number routes to overseas call centers where they can’t do anything. I literally drove 3 hours round-trip to a local branch just to speak to someone. The manager admitted they’re overbooking and can’t keep up, but said he’d try to fit us in. He never called. Another rep said the branch would call us by EOD or Saturday morning. No one ever called.

    Now we’re stuck paying for extra days in our apartment, rearranging our lives, and trying to figure out how to get to GA to unload when my husband can’t take off work again — and apparently, we also can’t even get our original 7/11 delivery date back. We also hired help in GA we now can’t use. And still — no resolution, no follow-up, no refund or even a partial credit despite the clear failure on their part. The most frustrating part? You literally cannot talk to anyone with decision-making power. No one cares. Avoid PODS at all costs. They are unreliable, overbooked, impossible to get help from, and have no concern for how their mess-ups affect real families. Absolute nightmare.

    I used PODS for moving and storage. They picked up my stuff and took it to a storage lot till my place here was finished, and then they delivered it here. And I chose to use them because it was easier for me in many ways. They could just drop the pod, and then I can load what I wanted to load from my house, and take my time doing it. It wasn’t like the truck was there and had to get going.

    So, I got a 16-foot pod, and it was tight. But that was my fault. I misjudged how much stuff I had.     I only moved 15 miles away. We didn't wanna use a moving company and I heard some good things about PODS from people who have used it prior. So we went with them, and the moving process was very pleasant.

    They came and asked me what side I wanted the door facing, how it shall be positioned, and when to put it. They were pretty informative.

    The online app is good and easy to use. Their customer service that I call customer service were more than happy to help to fix anything that I couldn't understand off their site. Everything was pretty good.

    A few days before moving, they ask if I want to cancel, cancel now. If not, the driver will call a half hour before. And about a half hour, 40 minutes before, I got a call from the driver stating that they would be there and that the driveway was empty.

    The quote didn't change. And I actually got a discount for doing something during the Labor Day sale. So it was 20% off, a little bit less than what I was expecting to pay and I was pretty happy with that.

    That PODZILLA thing they use is actually a pretty cool system. The way they drop it in the driveway and just place it. It's pretty interesting. I didn't have anything bad to say about them. I’m very satisfied. Overall, I had a good experience.

    I had to move some of my stuff. My cousin went through the same thing and she mentioned PODS. So, I went ahead and scheduled with them. Booking was okay. I inputted my information online and then it told me to give them a call. The pod was initially supposed to be put in my driveway, but it was a little too narrow. So, the driver suggested we put it somewhere else, which was totally fine. It was easy to work with the nice gentleman that time, and it was smooth.

    I was a little bit worried on the top of the pod inside. It looked like a mold or dirt, and it was a little concerning. I was afraid that my stuff was going to end up molded whenever I got it delivered, but it was not. I have had the pod for about a week. So, I had a week to pack my pod, and then they picked up my pod in a week. Afterwards, they had it delivered within a week and a half, which was quick.

    whenever driver first dropped it off, I was out there and he was so nice. I signed some paperwork. And then, whenever they dropped it off at my destination, I was unfortunately not there, but they dropped it off anyway. I would come home and it was already there. And then, whenever they picked it up, I was not there either. Still, it was smooth sailing, and I enjoyed the experience. If I ever do another move, I would definitely use PODS again. I like how I can pack at my own pace. And if I need movers, then I can just hire movers. All my stuff came, and nothing was broken.

    PODS is a great company. The only service I needed was to put a pod in my driveway so I could take everything out of my garage because I was having my floors redone. Then, they had to take everything out of the pod and put it back in my garage. So, they delivered on time, set it up for me, came back, and picked it up. They did a very good job, and they were on time. I chose because they had a unique way of unloading and reloading the pod on their truck. They have a 4-point lift that lifts the pod up in the air, and they drive the truck out from under it, and then set it down on the ground.

    We have had the pod for a couple of weeks and we had rainstorms, and it never got a drop of water in it. It was clean when I got it and I cleaned it when I gave it back. The quality of the product was A-one. My next-door neighbor is getting the same service done to his floor that I did, and he’s using pod.

    All PODS staff with whom I interacted were friendly and professional. But the reason for the 2-star rating is that I believe the driver that delivered our POD was not skilled enough to use Podzilla to put the POD where wanted it. We later discovered a neighbor in our development did have a POD delivered to an exactly equivalent place where we had wanted ours. On the delivery day, the driver convinced us to place the POD where it obstructed access to our garage. In hindsight, the inevitable happened and we scraped the car on the POD while reversing from the garage. We scheduled pickup the next day, never used the POD, but still paid the first month's rent and delivery and pickup charges. A very dissatisfying experience.

    If I could give zero stars, I would!!! Do not, I repeat do not ever use this company!!! Complete fraud!!! I have been on the phone with multiple issues for four days now and still no resolve!!! My 88-year-old mother is disabled and is in early stages of dementia! I am in the process of preparing to renovate her home in district of Columbia to ensure her last days are comfortable and manageable!

    This company sells itself on the principle of convenience and it has been nothing but a headache! I paid a lot for convenience and have not had that yet! When I booked, I explained that I am in DC and do not have a driveway or yard access, so the pod will be placed on the street! I explained and gave my permit to the company, explaining that in DC I must have a permit to place a storage container on the street and it is only good for 5 days (DC does not renew this type of permit)!!!

    I made my reservation for delivery on 6/21/25 and specifically requested that the pod be delivered no later than 12 noon because I hired workers to pack my pod and I did not want to disrupt my elderly mom's routine because it would throw her off track!!! My pod was not delivered until after 8pm on 6/21/25!!!! When I contacted customer service, these idiots gave me the run around and then told me I should have been told that I have to pay for premium service to have my pod delivered by a certain time! pay for premium service??? I already paid $365.11, and would be paying $403.87 a month, and not to mention I just lost $375 on movers that didn't have a pod to pack! To add insult to injury, I was then told verbatim, "Well, I don't know what to tell you, and we do not have a way to provide you with any credits" by manager Abby I. (if that is even her name)!

    Fast forward, I then complained that I now had only one day (6/22/25) to pack my pod because I work 14 hour days! In addition, I now had to pack it myself! I was again told in not-so-many words, "not our problem!" Today, 6/25/25, my pod was scheduled for pickup, with an estimated time between 7:45 pm to 10:45 pm!!! My permit expires at 11:59 pm! If the pod remains after that time, I will be subjected to fines, tow, and/or both by DC!

    At 8pm, I receive an email and call saying my pod will not be picked up now until 7/3/25!!! I immediately called customer service and I am still on hold at 9:50 pm waiting for the representative to find a manager and for the manager at the warehouse to pick up the phone (the local storage warehouse does not close until 11pm)!!! still waiting on hold!!!

    And yes, once again, I am being told I will not be compensated and it is out of their control that they do not have a driver! **, you mean you do not have a driver! And to further piss me off, they then tell me any fees I incur or if my pod gets towed, I am responsible! While still sitting here waiting and writing this review, I have also been reaching out to news media outlets and exposing this fraud of a company!!! I have also filed a complaint with BBB!!! And the corporate office number is a dummy number with a recording telling you to contact the customer service!!! If you want your money stolen, then by all means, book this horrible company!!! They will tell you they created a case but they won't and don't!!! They can't even provide me a case number!!! I will end here while I am still on hold!!! You have been warned of this fraudulent company!!!

    PODS stored my furniture and moved it from ME to MN. However, after hiring a PODs approved mover who 'has packed 1000's of PODs), furniture was damaged. Most was minor that I could repaint. However, a family heirloom Hoosier sustained significant damage ($500) and after filing a claim, I received nothing. They blamed me and the mover who they recommended and suggested I go after them...a small company from Hire a Helper. Bogus!

    I had the interior of my garage painted and epoxy floor done. We have a lot of stuff in our garage. The PODS worked perfectly to store my valuable for the three weeks my garage was being renovated. Both the drop off and pickup was painless. The drivers were courteous and very good operators. The driver was able to position the container in the exact spot in my driveway. I needed change my pickup date a couple of times which was easy to accomplish using the PODS website.     Rented a PODS for storage after a move for my handicapped mother in law. I received a quote for a recurring payment of $139.30 plus $10.00 for protection plus tax. Received first bill of $199 plus the other fees. Got on the online chat and it said someone would be on within 17 mins. After 45 mins I hung up and called customer service. The lady that answered spoke very broken English and said it was a 1 time discount even though my quote says recurring. She never took ownwership of my issue and kept cutting me off when I would try to explain what was going on. She kept telling me that what I was given before I checked out was a estimate even though it says Quote. She kept telling me that I didn't understand and that I was reading it wrong and that it was all valid. She refused to transfer me to a supervisor several times and told me that a supervisor couldn't help me either.

    Finally after almost 30 more minutes she told me she would open a case and I would get a email within 72 hours from a case manager. Well almost a week later I get a voicemail saying that I disputed the protection for the $10 a month and that it was a valid charge. That WAS NOT even in the dispute at all. I retired from customer service with a worldwide company and I have NEVER seen this level of Horrible incompetence customer service anywhere. What makes it even worse is the top of my quote says price lock guarantee. To PODS if you want to fix this look up case # **

    In the process of moving from one home to another home in a different city we contracted PODS for excess furniture, furnishings, and clothing. Our delivery date was yesterday, June 19, with the delivery window of 2-5 p.m. We only knew that by calling the PODS customer service, if you want to call it that. No email or text. However, we did PODS text and emails several times several days earlier warning us if we were going to cancel our date we had to do it by a certain date and time. Probably because it would inconvenience them. Different story when it inconveniences the customer.

    When 5 p.m. came but the PODS didn’t, we called again to get a recorded message that the window had been pushed back to 6:30. Again, no text or email. When 6:30 p.m., we called and spoke with a customer service rep, who put us on hold, said they talked to the operations manager and we should expect delivery by 7:30 a.m. Guess what, didn’t happen. Called again and told the time had been pushed back to 8 p.m., then shortly after 9 p.m.

    We finally demanded to speak to a supervisor who apologized (likely reading off script, which they never stray from). We told her we weren’t going to wait until all hours of the night for a delivery that may or may not come. She assured us delivery would be today, between 7-9 a.m. Want to guess what happened? Nothing. No delivery. Not contact from PODs.

    Pods stole money from me by overcharging me. They got caught. I've recently discovered many others who have had to sign an NDA for their refund from pods. Anyone out there that believes they were scammed by pods, please contact me. Everyone, check your detailed receipts for the dates, the storage time, etc. I had use 13 days of storage and they charged me 2 months worth for 2 pods. They also extended the dates they picked up my pods. They told me they gave me a 30% discount and it shows only 1 time on 1 item. It's ridiculous. I pestered them for weeks before they agreed to refund my money. I never received it and they told me they didn't have my address! What a joke - they dropped off and picked up the pods here!! OMG! Asking all previous pods customer to check your bills. I would like to get a class action lawsuit going. Contact me on here.

    For short term storage during a move - it was exactly right for me. No need to get a truck or flat bed trailer to take to a storage facility. PODS was the answer for me. It's not cheap, but it served my purpose. Couldn't raise the door on the POD the day after delivery. I called the facility, the gentleman that delivered the POD assured me he would come back out to see what the problem was. Sure enough, later in the day he came and was able to raise the door.     Our experience w PODS started out fine. We had a 16ft container for 4.5 years w/out issue. Unfortunately, that ended when we scheduled our long-distance delivery. What followed was communication failures, unresponsiveness, & schedule breakdowns that caused stress, financial loss, and unnecessary hardship during a time when we were already caring for elderly loved ones. We coordinated our move with PODS and were told we’d receive a call the day before with a delivery window. Instead, we received a notice that the delivery was canceled due to non-payment despite our account having been auto-charged just 5 days earlier for the monthly fee. The new charge had no clear explanation.

    This cancellation forced us to reschedule everything — flights, truck rentals, a dumpster, and help from friends. These had all been booked months in advance. Now, with only a week to react we were backed into a corner. PODS offered a discount, which barely scratched the surface of the disruption & expense. We rescheduled with a delivery window of 8–11am only to receive a call that morning at 8:23am they weren’t coming. The driver was sick & there were no options than to delay 2 more days. No manager was available to speak with me. I was placed on a call-back list that, to this day, no one has followed up.

    On the day of delivery, after requesting an early window, we were given 10:30–1:30. At 12:31pm, we were informed that the driver had a flat tire. It wasn’t until 4:40pm that the POD finally arrived. No one from PODS followed up, despite multiple requests. The drivers were professional, but the communication and responsiveness from the company were shockingly poor. I hope no other family has to go through the helplessness & frustration of trying to retrieve their possessions from a company so detached from customer service & accountability. When you entrust a company with your family’s furniture, heirlooms, and memories, you expect a baseline level of reliability & respect.

    I ordered 2 - 16ft pods. Both were picked up and dropped at my new house within a few days. The first pod went seamlessly. First let me say if you have a pod picked up and a new dropped on the same day, the company DOES NOT take this into consideration when scheduling. I have no idea why. Makes no sense. So the guy with the new pod shows up hours before the guy to pick up the existing one. Luckily this guy was very nice and ended up switching them out for me and did a great job! However, at the new house I have a pod I’ve emptied and waiting for my 2nd one. Same day. They scheduled the same guy to pick up that was dropping off and he didn’t realize until he was on the way and called me. He sounded irritated (understandably) because pods.com doesn’t know how to coordinate their scheduling. But it is not my fault. He said “I’ll figure it out”. He showed up with an empty truck. Took the old pod and left.

    I thought maybe he’d dropped the other somewhere close and was about to bring it back. Nope. After waiting all day and calling customer service (no help at all and cannot contact the driver apparently), we finally get the other pod at the end of the day. Mind you this was scheduled for 7am-10am. I had hired help which was wasted. Then the pod was left completely angled in my driveway. I’ve never seen anything like it. Everything inside was spilled over. You could tell this driver was irritated, waited all day to deliver my pod, and obviously handled the pod overly rough and left it in a ridiculous position. And none of this was my fault, only his company. Unacceptable all around, everything up until that point was great. It’s unfortunate as I’ll probably never use them again.

    We've seen PODS around and thought we'd give it a try. We just called, made a reservation. They dropped it off. We packed it. They came, picked it up, and they delivered it on time. Every other day, we heard from them, and when it was time to drop off and pick up. And in between, they always confirmed before they did anything, which was excellent. With PODS, you don't have the issues that you have with movers. You can pack it yourself. The price isn't bad. And you know that they're going to pick up and deliver. We're very pleased.
