DO NOT USE PODS MOVING AND STORAGE COMPANY. I have made several cross country moves and have dealt with all kinds of issues while making those moves. Not once have I had the SEVERE problems that I experienced with Pods and perhaps even more importantly, not once have I received such horrible, condescending and manipulative customer service in my life while trying to rectify these issues. I say this as someone who has gone through many negative experiences with different companies yet has never written a negative review for a moving/storage company because I understand that things happen and people make mistakes. However, I feel compelled to alert consumers who may be looking into using Pods as a service of my experience so they can choose a different company that has some semblance of respect for their customers.
I don’t want this review to take forever to read, and it would if I listed all of the issues I’ve had with Pods over my three years of using their service for both storage and moving, so I’ll try to highlight the major mistakes they’ve made recently. Beware, they do not follow any of the information on their website or the information that their customer service representatives give to you regarding protocol.
For example, I placed an order with them to move my Pod from the West Coast to the East Coast, noting on the phone that I wasn’t entirely sure that the second location was finalized. They assured me that as long as I called within 24 hours and updated it, I would be refunded my money (close to $4,000) and only charged for the updated move location. I called within 24 hours, as the customer service representative stated, and changed the location to a much closer city. The difference in price for the shipment was over $1,000. Again, I was assured that as the first order was canceled within a timeframe to incur no penalty, I would be refunded my almost $4,000 original estimate and then charged for the lesser amount.
This did not happen. In fact, I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THAT MONEY BACK FROM PODS. I called customer service four times regarding this issue, was reassured over and over that the money would show up any day until on my final follow up call, I was told that I would not receive that money until days after my Pod was delivered to the final location and picked up. I was also told that although originally I had been promised not to be charged Pod Rent for that month, given that my Pod had spent a total of 3 days in one of their storage facilities, they had already deducted a full month of rent (over $350) from the amount I was supposed to have already been refunded.
Ash, that customer service rep, said that the four other people I’d spoken to confirming the exact opposite of everything he said were wrong and his hands were tied. We spoke for over two hours and an hour after telling me he couldn’t do anything whatsoever to help me, somehow, he “remembered” a ten day rule that MAY allow me to get back the money for half a month rent and that it was up to his discretion. I continued asking questions and pointed him to how what he was saying went directly against what was stated on their website, to which he said that I was reading it wrong.
I’ve worked in Crisis PR for almost a decade. I help Fortune 500 companies write the copy for the websites in conjunction with attorneys to ensure clarity. I did not read it wrong, he just decided to lie to me. I asked more questions and in response, he continued to put himself on mute. When I stopped talking, he would go off mute and not answer the questions I just asked, but instead laugh and seemingly mock me. One of these times, he thought he put himself on mute but did not, and I heard him making fun of me on the call. I have NEVER, and I genuinely mean NEVER, been shown such disrespect by a company I spent over $15,000 with.
When dropping off my Pod, I wrote as many instructions as I could in the limited amount of space they gave me. I wanted to also attached a photo to help, but they told me that wasn’t allowed. I was assured I would receive a call from the driver when they were on their way after they provided a 4 hour window the night before drop-off. I NEVER received a phone call. They didn’t update that they had dropped off the Pod on my Pod account website. I would have never even known it had been dropped off in entirely the wrong spot at the storage facility had the wonderful facility manager not called me directly. She had gone outside waving her arms at the truck in order to try to help direct them to the right area and instead, they blatantly drove right past her while looking at her.
When I called Pods to ask 1) why I hadn’t been called as it promises on their website, 2) why it was put in entirely the wrong location of where I had written it be dropped off and 3) what they could do to try and help the situation, yet again, I ended up thoroughly disgusted. I spoke with Jimmy, who lied to me and made up excuses that again, were completely against everything stated on their website regarding protocol. Finally, he admitted they had made a mistake by not calling me, and even though that mistake cost me 7 additional hours of moving and significant financial expense for my moving help, there was nothing they could do.
I think it’s important to note that the Libertyville Pod warehouse was LESS THAN FOUR BLOCKS from the Storage Facility. Jimmy was just like Ash in the fact that he was rude, dismissive, argumentative, and openly showed that he could not care less about my problem. I paid $178 to this company for them to drop this Pod three and a half blocks, in entirely the wrong place (inconveniencing not only me, but the Storage Unit as well) and there was nothing he would do about it.
Again, I’m not one to write messages of this sort. I understand that mistakes happen and I’ve been through many moves and many messed up situations throughout those moves. However, not only did Pods make the worst mistakes possible, they charged me an insane amount of money, refused entirely any way to correct the situation or try to help and quite frankly, treated me as though I was subhuman.
These people will take your money. They will charge you insane fees and then tack on random extra fees for no reason. They will make huge mistakes that cost you thousands of dollars and they will do nothing to try to make it right - not even by giving an apology. If you want to be treated like trash and end up paying 50% more than the estimate you’re given ONLY to have them not even do their job correctly, then go ahead and work with them. If you don’t, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

I needed a pod while we were renovating our house, so I booked with PODS. The booking process was really easy. It was a few questions, and we got through it real quick.
They put the pod right in my driveway. It was excellent. The driver was very efficient and careful with our driveway. I really appreciated that. He had a remote control system that would load the pod and load it onto his truck. It took it off of our concrete driveway.
The pod was very clean and in good condition. Other than the wear and tear on the outside, it was just fine.
I’d tell a friend or family member that PODS is the way to go because they came and picked it up efficiently. When I needed the pod, they had it here. It was a very good experience for us and our needs.

Pods was very reasonable with their prices. Customer service was very helpful & friendly. Our First driver was Les, who dropped of the POD, Les was very informative and friendly. Lamont was able to answer our questions about the pick up of the POD once we were ready to have it shipped. Rick was the driver who dropped off the POD at the final location. Our POD traveled from Daytona Beach, Florida all the way to Buffalo, NY.. Overall I would give them Five of five stars. I was very pleased with them and would highly recommend to anyone who is planning a move.

I've used PODS to store our furniture and clothes for a move. It rain and the POD got flooded and destroyed thousands of dollars in furniture and clothes. Went through the POD insurance process and was decline. When it was PODs' fault because our POD storage was housed by PODS. It was not on our property but PODS' property and they declined our claim. I will never use these people for anything ever. Because if you're going to store my stuff on your premises and it gets flooded how can you decline the claim when it was the fault of the PODS and how it was built!
We're disappointed to see this, Kwame. Unfortunately, we can’t control the insurance company's policies, and we can’t negotiate with them in regards to what claims are approved or denied. We suggest reaching back out to your point of contact at UNIRISC and asking them to reopen/re-investigate your claim. There was a remodel that was going on, and a move that my mom was moving in, and there were a lot of stuff in the garage that needed to move out. PODS worked out well. I set the service online and then I ended up needing to change the date. So, I decided to call in person to make sure that it was not going to get charged. Communicating with them worked out well, and the pickup and delivery was good. It was a good experience overall, but it seems expensive to me. I would not be able to afford to do that again anytime soon.

I had no problem with PODS’ pickup and delivery. I use them for both moving and storage. My wife said their website was fine.
It was also fine speaking with their customer service. But it has a little bit of difficulty at times for me because they're using foreigners mostly. I have a hard time hearing but my wife could hear them clearly.

I got PODS for Moving. It was good, and I don't think I had any problems. The communication with them was excellent. I was notified before they came, probably a day or two days before.
The pod was held near my house, and then it traveled to another state until I got it.

The telephone booking of service was tedious because the representative was hard to understand. Delivery and pick up of the empty POD and the delivery of the packed POD was great... Incident free and staff very professional. Redelivery charge was not clear since this was not explained at the time of the booking. As a matter of fact, I had to call for an explanation after seeing the charge on my credit card invoice.

This company does not have transparency in pricing. We booked five containers with a 30% discount for a move from Georgia to Tennessee, only to be told that there was an additional transportation fee of $1,700 per container when we scheduled the containers for delivery and that no discount applies to this fee. This was way more than I could have gotten movers along with a truck, and those movers would have unloaded our containers. They did not arrive when they said they would and they did not pick up when they said they would, causing multiple issues for us. I would never do business with this company again.

Awesome communication throughout the process. Pickup and delivery drivers were awesome. Used PODS to move from California to Texas. Don't understand why it took 10 days to deliver the pod and would be nice if the service was a bit cheaper.... But it's a done deal now and I'm satisfied.

I was told I had to rent the pod for a whole month even though I only needed it for a week so I had it delivered earlier than I needed it. It’s sat here for maybe a week and a half before I open the door for the first time to discover that the interior was soaking wet due to recent rains. I called pods immediately telling them that it was not usable and that it was leaking. At which time they informed me that there was no guarantee that they would not leak. We were leaving town to have our floors refinished, and we’re not comfortable putting our belongings inside of a pod that was not guaranteed to leak and the rain forecast for the next four days.
I called PODS immediately and told them they could come pick it up and then it was no use to us. I filed agreement for a refund and of course they denied it. I have wasted over $300 on a pod that was of no use to me and I had to spend hundreds of dollars getting my garage prepped to store the furniture instead. I have reached out to pods many times with no response other than we’re gonna turn you over to collection agency

I was very satisfied with my experience using PODS for my moving needs. There are two major areas with room for improvement however. 1) Is the storage and transportation costs are excessive. My storage needs turned out to be longer than anticipated and consumed more $ than ever anticipated . Also since I was paying monthly rent, the transportations costs were very expensive. 2) The system of not knowing until the evening before when a pod will be delivered or picked up makes it very difficult to manage labor to load and unload the pods. I suggest PODS adding labor availability to their service.

We recently moved into a temporary office while construction was being completed on our new space. PODS delivered a storage container directly to our new location, and we were able to load everything we needed to store quickly and easily. Having the container in the parking lot made our move-in process smooth and efficient.
The PODS team was very helpful and accommodating—especially when it came time for pickup. We had two instances where a car had parked too close to the container for the driver to safely retrieve it. Each time, the PODS representative was patient, understanding, and worked with us to reschedule. We highly recommend PODS to anyone in need of reliable and convenient temporary office storage.

The RI delivery and pick up driver was amazing, he was knowledgeable and patient and let my kids enjoy watching him with Podzilla. The ME driver was also friendly and did his best to get the POD as close to the house within the parameters of power lines, etc. The salesperson who set up our account was par for a salesperson. I did feel his follow up on questions later on was lacking or dismissed. Overall the experience went as expected, minus the very sticky spot in the back of our POD that made for interesting placement to create a flat wall. I do wish the sale of 30% off would have been honored since we had the POD while the sale ran.

I received on time delivery with a very friendly and professional driver / delivery person who was very caring and precise regarding the placement of the POD on our property. The POD that we received was very clean equipment. Retrieval was the same as the delivery. I will recommend PODs to everyone I know that needs temporary storage services at their residence. I will use PODs again every time the extra storage need arises.

Great price! It was easy to use the app to change days. Driver was professional and friendly. The pick ups and drop offs were on time and the pod was placed correctly. The inside was clean, and easy to pack. It’s bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Great value!

I moved from Hawaii to Florida. I got estimates from full service movers and was shocked at how much it cost. I got a quote from PODS and I was much happier. I had to pack and load it myself, but hey, if it arrived broke, it was my fault. Everything arrived as scheduled. I couldn’t be happier. Their Customer Service was on point.

I had a POD for moving from Argyle, TX to Yucca Valley, Ca, I was escaping my husband while he was out of town. The service I had was amazing and heartfelt. Delivery of POD was great although neighbours complained that they could have moved it a bit further up the driveway. Access to POD was convenient although the doors were a bit difficult to open at times for someone with limited strength. Very easy to pack and very little shifted while it was being transported to new location. Pickup driver was friendly, courteous and on time. I would definitely recommend this way of moving house to people as it is convenient to your own time schedule to pack.

Matt delivered and picked up our POD rental using the Podzilla. He was extremely professional and competent. The POD made storage convenient and accessible. The POD was clean and certainly secure. My experience overall was what a this is a great organization, from booking, delivery, payments and pick up. I highly recommend using PODS.

This is the third time we have used PODS to facilitate our moves (over a period of 16 years). The first two times we also used storage. In all cases we were very satisfied with the experience. Drivers were always on time, very professional and skilled with their duties. Our stuff arrived sane and sound with minimal shifting and no damage. What I like best about using a pod is that it allows for more leisurely loading and unloading. Pack what you need last and unpack it first and take your time to put the rest in as you have time and space.

We recently relocated from Georgia to Florida. We used Pods each step along the way, including storage in Georgia before our final destination. It cost us around $13,000 but easily would’ve been greater than $20,000 had we done it the traditional way. Each step along the way was well communicated and Pods delivered on their promise for showing up in a timely fashion each time. Cannot recommend them enough, and this is the second relocation where we have used them. Hope to never relocate again, but if we do, Pods will be a part of that equation.

The driver did not call me to advise the folks moving out to move their moving truck out of the driveway and just took my pod to a facility. I called customer service and it was pointless as they were all in the Philippines and could do nothing to help me. They then charged me extra for all of this…. I would go with a local moving company or U-Haul. PODS customer service is horrible and not US based.

1st POD was delivered and picked up as promised. 2nd POD was scheduled to arrive on June 2. Later that day PODS calls and says driver is ill and my 2nd POD will be delivered on June 3. Waited all day June 3 and no communication from PODS at all. So started calling Customer Support around 4:30 pm east coast local tome. After being on phone until 7:47 pm nothing was resolved. Call center outside US said they could NIT reach anybody at HQ or in my area Wash DC. The agent, Francine, promised to escalate and call me back first thing June 4th before 10 am my time. Now my online record said 2nd POD would be delivered June 6. I called in again, reached Fernando in the Off Shore call center, and was forwarded to the HQ office in Clearwater FL. The phone rang and I was sent to Voicemail. I left detailed message. No response.
11:00 am June 4. I called Support again and asked for supervisor. I was not connected directly, but Gus, the agent in Costa Rica, promised my issue was reviewed by local super and they have to escalate to higher up management. 11.15 Francine called me back. She found out that PODS has a sever shortage of drivers. And I will NOT get my POD until tomorrow the 5th at the earliest. So here I sit with a house full I boxes and unable to load into a container for the 3rd day. Now my driveway will be blocked by the dumpster coming tomorrow the 5th and I will have to carry everything around it instead of rolling down the driveway to the POD (assuming it ever arrives).
This has been one of the worst experiences I have had as a customer in my 61 years. One of the most disturbing things is that the overseas call centers can't seem to reach anybody in the US. Their online web site and their phone service is NOT in sync. And managers of the local offices can't be reached after 7 or on weekends.

I went with PODS because they had the best price. I looked it up online, and had a coupon that I was able to use. The customer service was good, and they were really efficient and on time for both the delivery and the pickup. However, there was a little confusion with the final pickup after everything was unpacked from the pod.

I had four PODS in the last two months. And the guys in Tyler were the sweetest people ever. Customer service was great. The people who delivered the PODs were the nicest guys ever. Even for another state, they were great, and when I had to go to the facility in Maryland, the staff there were also very nice. I have nothing but good things to say about it considering I used quite a few of them. It was a good experience.

I used PODS before when I moved here, and it was fine. That's why I used it again. But this time was not good.
When I got a PODs, it wasn’t closed properly. I had a broken wrist, so I paid someone to put all my stuff in, but we couldn’t close it. I had to get another one and pay again to put everything in the new one. They said they would reimburse me $200, which was the cost, so I went to the bank and paid $200 out of my own money, but I never got that money back.
When you request the first PODs and they come to pick it up, you pay for the first month. With my first POD, they picked it up and I paid for that month. But they didn’t give me a clear timeline. Since it was for that POD and I had already paid, the payment should have applied to it..
I thought it was perfect. Getting a PODs is a great idea if you don’t have anywhere to store your stuff, that’s why I used it again, because it worked so well the first time.

I used PODS for a cross-country move, and it was a perfectly fine experience for what we needed. I talked with a lady on the phone and didn’t have any problems getting everything set up. We had a 16 x 8 pod, which was enough for us. They dropped it off, we filled it up, and they picked it up. It got to the location with no issues. We unpacked, they came and picked up the empty pod, and we were good.
I’d totally use them again in the future. If you've got just stuff that you wanna move, I would totally use PODS, but if you've got a lot of furniture to move, I probably wouldn’t use them

I was a valued customer since 11/2020. Never late! Moving to Princeton and they couldn’t an accommodate the move so I scheduled to be delivered where I was living, rented a U-haul to clear it out and drive back to Princeton. I requested delivery the earliest time and they gave me a 8 am to 10 am window. Said they’d notify me the night before. Window changed from 1:30 to 3:30 then at 6 AM the day of the move they changed it again from 3:30 to 6:30. Put me on the last delivery for the day.. They tried to charge me for a full month. Then told me I was over the seven days so they had to charge me at least a half a month rent, but I requested the pod be delivered on a Friday which was the 30th. That would’ve been the third day from the billing cycle and they could not accommodate that so that was on them not me.
And then I was told they would waive my delivery charge because I was a valued customer for 4 1/2 years and I made sure that they said that that wouldn’t affect my delivery time and then come to find out because I didn’t pay the delivery fee. I was not put on priority and they moved me to the very end of the list. That to me is not taking care of your customer, I spent almost 2 hours of my time the day before trying to get all of the payments corrected and just not happy. Would not recommend PODS to anyone. Very disappointed with my service.

Other people I know use PODS so when I was in an emergency situation, I called. I was told I had to move out ASAP because there was mold in my place, and I was getting sick. I was having brain fog issues that I couldn't even do the request online. My brothers had locked the pod but when I went back to put something in I didn't lock it right. We had to get a different lock put on. But it worked out.
Our development has a shared driveway. And we had been told that you had to put the pod in front of your garage or in the space. The driver didn’t want to put it on there. It's 7 o'clock in the morning. I had to drive an hour to meet him. It was early and I just wanted to get the thing done so I told him to just put it down. He put it in the middle of the driveway and it was blocking the walkway. I felt terrible and embarrassed. He said he has done deliveries in the area and that was how they usually do it. But I saw my neighbor was able to put it in his own spot.
It's been a stressful couple of months. I wound up having to leave it in the pod longer. I was supposed to move in March. But I wound up not moving until April. Other than that, the guy who delivered and the rep I spoke with to make the arrangements were great.

PODS said their home base was in Florida instead of overseas, so I went with them. Customer service was great during phone calls and follow-ups, and we changed the date a couple of times. They were all really good. I’m going to recommend them to someone I know.

I was doing a renovation and I needed an extra space to put some furniture in. I initially went on PODS’ website to get some basic info. And then I called and just made a reservation. They were able to give me a quote really quickly. I was able to set up a reservation. Everything came out smoothly once they scheduled the delivery. Drop off was pretty easy, and then pickup was just as much. It was very hands-off. I'd recommend family and friends to use PODS. It was a pretty simple process for me. It would be the same for them too.

Seemed like a good idea but, 18 foot container, 21/2 months $14,000 dollars and I had to to hire a moving company (recommended by PODS) that uses homeless people to get my items to my house (they did 3,000 dollars worth of damage). So find a better alternative or just sell your stuff. Absolutely would not recommend.

Where do I begin? It took them 3 weeks to come pick up the Pod after delivery even though it was empty that same day. They said it was their busy season. We were inconvenienced as it was sitting on our driveway and we couldn't use our garage. On top of that they charged us another $306. After 3 calls a week apart talking to 3 different people who had to check with the "back office" they refused to refund me.

The only concern I have is with the door on my PODS unit. It was extremely difficult to push up. I had to get assistance from a neighbor to help me. Even the driver had to struggle with the door and he was a young guy. I am not sure if all the units are like the one I had but if they are PODS may want to consider a door that isn't so difficult to push up.

PODS were delivered on time with professional drivers who were accurate in maneuvering the trucks and polite. They were on time and wanted to please the customer! I would recommend for any kind of service. Mine was moving from Texas to California. Upon arrival at my destination, I had to cancel the delivery date at the last minute and had to reschedule the delivery date. This was not a hassle and the change was implemented correctly.

My wife and I recently moved from SF Bay Area in California to southern North Carolina. We did this in two phases starting in the middle of March and ending in the first week of May. We started with 1 16’ pod and I went there to receive it along with a car that I shipped through one of POD’s recommended car carriers. I then Went back to complete our move with 2 more PODs. At both locations the POD crews were awesome with the delivery and pick ups being flawless. Scheduling was a breeze and the updates and reminders were fantastic. I made some adjustments along the way which was no problem. The Conway group was also fantastic. Very efficient company and the best value for moving on your own. Bravo POD company!

This is an excellent way to move. It's reliable, secure, and easy to use. The delivery drivers are helpful and professional. Items, if tied down as recommended, are delivered without issue. Updates on web site are mostly accurate. Sometimes a chat or call is helpful to get more up-to-date information.

The franchise operation in Oxnard was superb. Excellent customer service, answered complex questions well. The PODS corporate operation was not very good. Overseas quality of the people answering phones very weak. Didn’t know geography, screwed up communications, and the website mismatched the closest storage location. Overall pleased, but I would not have been without the local people.

When I signed up online there was a special offer. I checked and it did not apply. I called the next morning and was told they were sorry but the system already had my order entered. I called several different times when other offers appeared to no avail. I had this unit for a year. I asked again when I settled my bill at the final time….Rude and no answer. Most employees were very nice.

We had the Pod for longer than we actually needed it for. It sat for about two weeks at our old house after it was loaded & again for 2/3 extra weeks at our new house after we'd opened it, unloaded it, cleaned it out & closed it up. Think they'd make more money if they had a faster turnaround as it wasn't necessary to have it setting for so long for us anyways. In fact, our grass was beginning to grow & it still shows signs as to where it set at! The people were awesome to deal with however! :)

Deceptive, shady company in general. Scheduled a long-distance move without my authorization or notification and charged me close to $4000. Rescheduled delivery of "guaranteed dates" without my authorization or notification and charged me an additional month of storage....Twice. I was assured the permit to deliver container on city street was "obtained" and "authorized," and I was provided with a"record number." In actuality, no permit, no delivery. I was provided with misinformation on countless occasions, hung up on when trying to clarify misinformation, and one "representative" changed my email after said call.
There has been no accountability or acknowledgment of poor business practice, deceptive practices, poorly informed employees and horrendous customer service. My "case" was abruptly closed after expressing my dissatisfaction with compensation and lack of communication. I have been profoundly inconvenienced, and I still don't have my container.

They are not straightforward with the pricing. Very tricky process. You can get a quote only if call them and wait for at least 40 minutes to ask you so many questions and details and options in order to add more to the price. In the very end after you spend so many minutes waiting for the quote the offer is very pricey in comparison to other companies that you can go on their website and get a quote instantly. Very disappointed. It was a really bad customer experience.

We need pods for moving and storage, so I went with PODS because I liked the design of their pod. I really did my research, and I’m good with these things. The price was amazing compared to a storage facility where I would rent a space at another location, so it worked out. I could have it right in my driveway. I had a really excellent experience. Everything was positive.
The pick-up and delivery were excellent. I dealt with two gentlemen, and they made sure that I was happy with the area that it was going to go in. It was neat watching them move the pod. They were so nice. Everything was great.
I had a yard sale, and a couple of people asked me about the pods. They think that pods are a new way of doing storage and would be super expensive. I told them the prices are the same as those of a storage place where you pay for a place you have to drive to, and you don’t have your items with you. But with pods, you can watch your items. They’re very secure, and there’s no way to get into them.

PODS is the best and most convenient way to move. I didn't wanna drive the 1,500 miles with the U-Haul and using PODS was cheaper, not having to fill up for gas and spend for meals and overnight stays in motels. We flew home in three hours, stress-free. All the people I dealt with were friendly, and I had good communication with them. They kept me updated on what was going on. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Going with PODS was the best decision I ever made. I was happy with what I paid, and they got the job done.

During the setup, all I did was call PODS and they asked me a bunch of questions about my needs and they estimated the number of pods I would need and the sizing. I didn't heed their advice when I should have because we ended up having to move a lot of stuff ourselves that would have fit in the pod that was the size that they told us.
The delivery and pickup were super fun to watch and really convenient. We moved out of the house, had the pods there for about a week, and then loaded everything into it. They were in storage for two months and then they were delivered to our new house. We unloaded everything. The pods were here for another week because I forgot to schedule the pickup and that was the only availability they had. But everything worked out pretty well.
I think the only thing that was a bummer was we pushed back our delivery date seven days because our house closing got delayed. So they charged us another month of rent and we didn't get that month back even though our pods were delivered two days later. We still had to pay the whole month and that was. annoying. But overall, we were happy.

I heard about PODS because a neighbor’s daughter used them for her move, so I just booked it online. It was fine and it worked. I liked that I could leave it stored right in my driveway. I didn’t have to have all my stuff carted away.
I talked to the driver when he was here, and they were both very nice and very professional. The pod itself was clean, but the door wasn’t as smooth operating as I would have liked. Opening and closing the door was actually really difficult. The latch that you close to put the lock on was slightly bent, so it was hard to move, and the tracks could have been lubricated. I eventually had to have my husband do them.

I am very aggravated and disappointed with the customer service I received from this company and the driver. On their website it strictly says a driver will contact you when delivering pod about placement details. I received no call when the driver arrived at my house, he just placed the pod wherever he wanted as he placed the container on our concrete which is not stable. It’s very concave and in the way of the remodeling construction crew. I asked for a driver to come back out to move the pod again and no one has responded back or made that happen. Also the driver when I called to speak with him about where he was said he had dropped off pod and was unable to place in grass where I requested as online it has the option to place on non-paved surface. Sounded like he wanted to get done and out of there as he did not care what happened.

I had an issue when I first started the process. I called and spoke to a very nice person. I wasn’t ready to go ahead with it right then but she did give me a quote. When I went to call back, I spoke to someone different. It was completely different, from the way you paid and the amount. I wasn’t happy with that so I hung up. I called back again another time and I got a person that was closer and easier to understand the third time. That’s why I went ahead with PODS and after that, everything went smoothly.
The communication was very good. They let you know when they were coming and they gave a three-hour window. Then the guys that came were very nice. The guy that dropped the pods off originally gave us some tips about the door. We were asking the driver when they delivered it if he would mind opening the door, which the man did without me asking. Everything went well.

PODS is the most convenient way to move because they just drop the pod, you load it when you can, and you're not limited to this day and this time. The flip side is if you're not there, for example, when they delivered my pod, I wasn’t there, and even though I told the driver to push it way to the left of the drive so we can at least get one car into the garage, he was about two-thirds of the way over. But the pick-up driver was excellent. I was curious about how he loaded the thing with the PodZilla, and he was very open to showing it. Customer service is not the world's best. Just calling to schedule the delivery date took a 20-minute phone call. So, it's some good and some bad.

I am very impressed with the PODS services. Everyone was very helpful and informative. Everything was delivered with advance notice (Text & email) and on time! Delivery people were easy to work with to find best placement of PODs in the driveways of both the old and new house. I was very impressed with drivers in Chula ** and with Don **in OKC. I highly recommend and will definitely use them again. I rate 5 stars for people and delivery, but 4 stars for cost. I have found that anything leaving California is much, much more expensive than leaving any other state! (Too many of us fleeing CA?)

It was a good experience getting everything done, but the website should be more honest with its communications and what it can actually offer. I ordered the pod because it said I could get it delivered in two days. I needed to have it picked up in a week, and there was nothing there that said I needed to wait two weeks. So, I ended up on a bunch of phone calls to see if I could get it picked up sooner. The lady that I talked to at the local building was amazing. She was able to get the pod picked up, get it all scheduled and straightened out for me. They were here on time, and they were in constant communication with me. They brought it to my new place, and everything was great, until I started getting phone calls saying that I owe them a bunch of money for a pod that I don't have anymore.

I’ve seen PODS around for years. Then I happen to run across it on online, and I thought it was a good idea for moving. Setting up the pickup and delivery was perfect. The move was from Plymouth to Maple Grove, and it did not take long as it was from one suburb next to another. The cost was also reasonable and I was fine with it. They did it the day they were supposed to. I would do it again if I had to move again.

Hired PODS to move from FL to TN. Did not have exact zip code but was told, "No problem. We will ship to TN and call us when ready." What was not said, but is buried in fine print is that they will determine if they will ship to the zip code. Which in my case they will not break the 50m radius (my house is 78m), mostly highway. 2 calls to out of country phone center and requests to talk to supervisor yielded no results. Their solution is, "Easy sir!!! Just get a moving van and come retrieve your stuff. Oh no. We won't pay for this but we'll make it easy for you to repack a 4 bedroom house into a moving truck."

Overall I am happy with the experience, however the beginning wasn't without it's issues. Good stuff - POD was clean and spacious. Had plenty of room for my needs as the largest available container. It also had plenty of anchor points for bungee cords and strap downs to attach to. Once delivered it was picked up, moved to new location and removed when scheduled with notifications as to a time frame of pick up. Website is fairly easy to use to place orders.
Negative aspects - Initial delivery didn't happen on date scheduled. NO communication informing me that it was late or delated. Only upon myself emailing, was I informed of the delay to a later time frame. Two additional delays in delivery time frame with no communication unless I reached out directly to a PODS team member. At the end of the delivery day I was informed that it wasn't being delivered on my last email. I was informed that a new delivery date would be delayed by days... I informed the team member that that wasn't acceptable as they already processed my payment and I was on a tight schedule for loading and moving purposes.
They did process an exception and had the POD delivered next day. I do understand that issues happen however there is no excuses for the lack of communication and customer service. Lost a full day of loading with no compensation per original contract. The expense of the POD and poor experience in the beginning was enough to drop this to a 3 star review. This is not cheap however is convenient.

I relocated from Albuquerque New Mexico to San Antonio Texas. The experience was Great until the final drop off in San Antonio. Instructions were given in advance on the placement of container. However, instructions were not followed and the container was placed several feet from the instructed location. I contacted PODS and after review of the instructions that had been given, I was assured that someone would come out to reposition the container and I would not incur a repositioning fee. I received an Invoice from Pods on 4-19-2025 which includes a reposition fee of $199 tax included, which is in dispute!!!

I was hesitant to use PODS for my move based on a few of my neighbor's experiences, but when they assured me upon booking that there was enough complimentary insurance to cover any damages that may occur, I decided to give them a try. Upon delivery, I watched the driver tilt the units at a 30-45 degree angle and then drop/slam it onto the ground. This resulted in damage to multiple items, including a very stout, dining room table. When I tried to file a claim with PODS, it was rejected by the claims manager because the damage wasn't caused basically by an "Act of God" such as a hurricane, lightning, etc. Do not use PODS. They mislead their customers, damage your items, and leave you in the wind.

Great customer service, such as today when "Josh" picked up our empty POD in Roseville, Minnesota. Great communications and friendly, professional service. This was the completion of a two POD delivery (from Washington state to Minnesota); this POD was delivered to our Minnesota home and we emptied it and Josh picked it up today. The second POD is being stored at the PODs facility in Minnesota.

I initially contacted PODS to attain a moving estimate that I compared with several other moving company services. I thought I received a great value with my military discount. My problem started when PODS scheduling claimed they could not deliver my two 16 foot PODS the same day. So, I had to incur an additional expense waiting another day. I just sold my house, so I was in a short time window to get packed and out of the house. What I noticed was the condition of one PODS container was rusted and needed the PODS sign replaced. It did not provide me with a great "first impression." However, on the receiving end I was thoroughly impressed with your PODS drivers who took exceptional care in delivering my two PODS and retrieving them. I was so moved that I wrote an excellent review.

Everything went well with my move. POD showed up on time. POD was clean and door worked well. The only complaint was I had to keep the POD in my driveway for a week when I emptied it. I had it emptied the day after it arrived and Lakeland Fl Pods only picks up and delivers in Sebring on Wednesdays. That makes it difficult in a condo community.

PODS made moving a breeze! Scheduling container drop-off and pick-up dates was easy, even when I had to make a change. I loaded my possessions at my own pace and secured everything in the container to my satisfaction. The drivers were friendly, punctual, and very helpful! I was renovating my home, and I had to live in it while that was being done. That was why the storage container was extra helpful because I was able to have everything right here. I could load things when I needed to, and I felt secure. I did not want to be away from my items, and I wanted the container on my property. I booked over the phone and it was not complicated. It was excellent. The drivers were perfectly fine. PODS explained everything, and the videos were very helpful. But, we all like lower prices. Overall, I couldn’t ask for better service, and it was the perfect fit for me for my needs.

I first heard about PODS because it’s all over the network, on television, and everywhere. I like the fact that they deliver the container and come to get it when we have it packed. Our move spanned over 6 months from packing our lives/belongings up in PA storing until our home was done in NC. Customer Service was very helpful and truthful about the process and the expense. The delivery and pick-up drivers were on time, friendly and respectful of our property. We always knew where the POD was with all our belongings. Now that it is unpacked and we are settled I am happy to share that NOTHING was damaged. This was a first for me so I can't speak if this was the best deal but honestly receiving all of my belongings back and just as I packed it, it was well worth to me.

We used a PODS container to empty our garage so we could put in a new floor and paint it. We booked it over the phone and got a 16-foot container. They delivered it and picked it up after about two and a half weeks. For what we paid, it was a fair price.

This is my third experience with PODS, and I’ve loved every second of it. This time, I used them for an out-of-state move, and everything went just like it was supposed to. The delivery of the pod went flawlessly. They put it where I wanted to. And then they picked it up on time.
The customer service with PODS was fine, but it depended on who I talked to on the day I talked. I also had a communication issue. I’m from the south, and I don’t talk that great. Sometimes my redneck comes through. So, maybe I was not communicating. But I finally got through, and they understood, and we worked it out. And I also had some navigational issues with their website, so I mainly relied on talking.

I was having renovations done on my house, so we had to empty the top floor. I booked a storage unit from PODS online, and it was pretty easy. I got a text message from the driver when they were close, and it’s kind of tricky to get to my house because I live in the city. I just told him where to come, and he found it pretty easily.

I’m 65 years old and don’t have the ability to move myself. When I called PODS, the woman who answered the phone was extremely efficient and helpful. I used the moving service and the storage bins, and the guy who helped me move was very good. The ones that unloaded it in McDonough were perfect in every way. They were very efficient, organized, helpful, and in tune with what I asked for. Their price, however, was a little expensive, but sometimes, a girl needs to spend some money to get the job done.

We did a bunch of remodeling, so we needed to empty the place out and put our stuff in storage until we got the remodeling done. I was adding on to my detached garage, and all of my toolboxes and power tools were put in. It worked well with PODS, and pickup and deliver could not have been better. The price was fair too. The delivery was good without issue. The POD had been recently painted as the paint was wet when I opened the door and as such I got paint on myself, my clothes and my hands. I managed to clean the paint off of my hands but ruined my pants and shirt.

Drop off and pickup for me to fill my pod was excellent. Great communication. Only issue I had was scheduling delivery drop off and POD removal. Had to reschedule since there was a large gap between the two dates (2 weeks). I would recommend this service towards friends and family but I would ensure to inform them about delivery and pickup.

Service was better than expected - drop-off and pickup windows were accurate and the container itself was well maintained. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional. I particularly liked that PODS sorted the permit for placing the container in Denver, CO. I wish they were also able to do that in Austin, TX as that part of the move was a giant hassle. I felt pricing was fair (after discounts) and wish there was a monetary incentive for recommending PODS to friends.

I received a quote from PODS on December 11 with the cost of $2,436.22 for "Move and Discounted 1st Month Container Rental." That amount included the Transportation Mileage. I placed my order. The container was delivered on December 26, picked up on December 30, delivered to the destination on January 11, and picked up on January 16. Regardless of the stated and agreed-upon quote, on December 24, I was charged $2498.04 for the transportation. On January 1, 2025, I was charged $504.71, and on January 12, $99.66. I contacted customer service and asked for a legitimate credit of $624.51 (2498.04 - 1873.53), which was an extra charge for the transportation mileage. Nevertheless, I did not get my money back.

PODS seemed like it was the most affordable one in our area that I can find. I booked online and the process was easy. I interacted with the driver who delivered it, and he was good. My brother had used them previously, so we went with PODS to store our furniture until our new house was built. We got three 16-foot containers, which were the largest size they had.
The customer experience was just great. They were very helpful and accommodating the whole time. Delivering the empty pods to us and then delivering the filled-up pods back to our new place went seamless. The quote was right in line with what we were expecting, and I would absolutely use them again in the future.

Awful experience and total… Awful experience and total misrepresentation - booked POD and cost was over $700. We scheduled delivery and attempted to schedule pick up, “the center it is being delivered does not pick up 5 days a week”. I explained that that was an issue and had them take an empty container back since they did not explain at time of booking that only certain days would be available for pickup. It is 2 months later and $100 refund is all they would issue - we will continue to battle and not recommend. Our daughter had issue with general service and competence when she tried to book as well.

Using PODS was a truly great decision. It was SO convenient having the POD right in our driveway - we could load and unload at our convenience and at times and durations of our choosing, with no need to drive anywhere, etc. The POD itself was clean and in great shape, and the gentlemen who helped us were very friendly and courteous. Was initially told that the service would be performed at MY convenience and on MY timeline. Actuality is anything but! Delivery to my home was perfect. On the other end however, not at all. Moving approx 1300 miles away, I scheduled pickup for 5/22 to begin the journey to the final destination but the container can't be delivered until 6/2/25 (11 days from pick-up!!). I can drive my car the entire trip in 14 hours, WHY and HOW can it possibly take 11 DAYS!!! So, I'll be sleeping on the floor of my new home until they deliver my belongings to me..... How thrilled with this service do you think I'll be by then????

Definitely order through PODS to use them. I thought for me it was convenient because all my stuff was in one place, and if I have to move it, you move the pod. You're not packing and unloading the truck, then reloading it and all that nonsense. It's all in one spot, and then you're only unpacking it once.

I had scheduled my container delivery with PODS for April 26, 2025, and planned my entire move around this confirmed date. Throughout the day, PODS kept rescheduling my delivery without clear communication. At the end of the day, after waiting for hours, I received an email informing me that they would not deliver at all — and that it might take another 3 to 7 days to reschedule. This last-minute cancellation caused significant disruption, extra expenses for temporary accommodations, and major stress during an already difficult move.
PODS’ handling of the situation showed a complete lack of professionalism, responsibility, and respect for their customers’ time and plans. I chose PODS because of their reputation for reliability, but my experience was anything but reliable. I would not recommend this company to anyone who needs dependable service, especially for something as important as a move. Very disappointing experience — I expected better. I’m.

Quoted $2700 for longest move, got pod, filled it and ready to go after a couple of months once my house sold, now they’re going to charge me over $4600. They advertise $1000 to $3000 for a long distant moving. Unloaded pod and got another long-distance mover for half the price. My one month payment had already gone through and because I was 13 days into that month and not “10 days” they wouldn’t refund the two weeks. They said the quote was only good for seven days, which I agreed upon, but it was obviously not saved. What a joke! A waste of your money and your time! Beware!!!

DO NOT USE THE COMPANY. Not clear about pricing and blame their errors on you and force you to foot the bill. You think they are until you store you pod and then when you go to move, the price to have the pod shipped it somehow costs twelve thousand dollars to ship my pod 1200 miles. I wish I was joking at the absurdity of this. They then blamed me for my account being listed as local even though when I initially got my quote, I was very clear that I would be moving long distance and needed to store my pod for a couple months. Because of this they said I had the wrong pod and that's why it was 12,000 dollars to ship.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Cannot state this enough. This has been the worst trying to move I have ever had. After 3 hours of a phone call, they were able to bring the price down to 4,000 dollars which was still absurd especially when I was quoted 1,500 when I booked the pod. You're better off selling your furniture and buying it new if you cannot immediately move into a new location. I kept trying to ask for specific prices and what my next expected bill might be and they couldn't even provide me with that information. STAY AWAY. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Horrible experience. I wish I had just sold my stuff and bought new furniture when I finally moved into a new place. Let me be the one to have learned this horrible lesson and try and make sure you don't face the same horrible fate as me. I genuinely had to rent a UHAUL to get my items since PODS screwed me over and lied about their pricing or it "changes" whenever they feel like it.

I was having renovation on my home, needed some things moved out temporarily, and PODS was the most convenient way to do it. I started out online, but the website wasn't the easiest to maneuver, so I wound up doing it over the phone. The delivery went well, but I had problems with the pick-up, and I’m still in the middle of trying to solve payment on the pick-up issue. They were supposed to pick it up on a Friday, so it wouldn’t coincide with movers bringing the rest of my stuff in. They couldn’t do it and rescheduled it for Monday. The driver came by, there was a trash bin in front of the pod, he decided he couldn't pick up the pod and left. After a long conversation with the PODS people in Baton Rouge, they still came to pick up the pod when the movers were here. It worked out, but I was trying to avoid that.
In the interim, when they had to cancel the Friday pick-up, they were gonna give me a $50 credit for the $81 charge to pick up the pod. But when all was said and done, they never gave me the $50 credit. I called them, spoke to a customer service rep who said they would give me the $50 credit, but it turned up in my checking account as a $50 debit. They said they were gonna reverse it, but they sent me a check for $50. It should have been a $100 reversal which included the $50 credit, but they sent me a check for $50, which only makes it even.

My adult son, his baby mama, and their three-year-old had to move in here for a while. They brought all their stuff so I needed a place to put some of it. I used PODS due to availability and price. We got a pretty big pod. It was clean and sturdy. If there was a sticking point, it would have been the way the roller doors sometimes stuck from time to time. But it was really not a problem. You just recognize what's going on and give it a little nudge.
We had the pod for over two years and it was $273 a month. What would be really cool for me as a user would be if PODS told me upfront how much it would cost to buy this thing. When you rent it and then exceed that by some kind of profit margin, 15%, then it's yours. I wasn't quite done with the pod but I got rid of it. It was thousands of dollars just for the one thing. That's the only complaint I have. Everything else was awesome. The people were good and so was the pick-up was good and delivery.

I used PODS for moving and storage. I had a previous company that I had arranged for long in advance, and they canceled at the very last second. I went to PODS and booked them over the phone. The customer service rep was excellent. They were able to accommodate me very quickly. I used a medium and a small pod. They had barely enough room, though. PODS is also not any more overpriced than anybody else, but everything is way overpriced.

I ordered two 16-foot PODS containers, and it was convenient because they could go in my front yard or my driveway. The website and ordering process were really nice and easy to use.
During the drop-off, I somehow made a mistake on the dates. I had one scheduled for delivery on one day, and the second PODS was supposed to come three days later, but that would have been too late. I probably made a mistake online when I changed the date.
The driver who delivered the first POD arranged for me to have the second POD delivered the next day early in the morning because that’s when I needed it since my furniture was being moved. He was amazing. The second driver who came out was just as good. When we realized that the POD had to be reversed to access the doors, he went through the extra steps to turn it and get it in the driveway just right. These guys were amazing. The PODS were clean, and they even gave me two free locks.
I had the PODS for about a month, three days beyond what would then be recharged. For the price, I wish it were a little cheaper. Overall, PODS is wonderful if you need it for furniture or even for a move.

I chose PODS because it was convenient for my move. I fond that the 16 foot container was big enough or my needs. The drivers who picked up ang delivered my pod were fine. The one issue I ha was with the door mechanism. There's a roller mechanism and a corrugated door, and some of my stuff got jammed up in it, and we couldn't open the door. They need to really fix that mechanism.

I was remodeling out of my city and I wanted something that I could rely on. PODS seemed like the right answer. It seemed easy. It’s for when you're in need and you wanna do it fast and professionally. They had a really good website and setup. The communication was stellar too. The crew arrived two hours early, which was fine. I was four hours away. I wanted to be there because placement was so important because of our HOA rules. At the last minute, I decided to drive down the night before. It was good because they were there at 8:00. It would have been a disaster otherwise. They told me they were gonna be there at 10:00. In the end, it worked out really well.

I needed a storage container quickly to handle some garage overflow. I made all my arrangements via the PODS website, which was very straightforward. I liked the explicit instructions for preparing a drop zone in my driveway. I had rented a container from a competitor in 2017, so I knew the routine. A tow truck with a container on the back blocked my street to unload it. I thought it was efficient. Well, when PODZILLA showed up to deliver my container, I was really impressed!
"PODZILLA is a hydraulic lift system used by PODS (Portable On Demand Storage) to deliver and pick up their portable storage containers. It allows drivers to maneuver the containers onto and off their trucks while keeping them level, even in hard-to-reach locations." --The Internet. The driver parked across the street, not blocking anyone. With a tethered controller he used PODZILLA to lift the container off the truck, across the street, into my driveway accurately, and lowered it while making small placement adjustments. The whole process took only 20 minutes from arrival to departure. The driver was super, we had a great chat. I kept it for 3.5 months and just as simply requested it to be picked up. My billing was taken care of quickly and the invoices were easy to understand.

I have ordered a POD 3 times. Only one of the times have I been able to open and close the door at will. At other times the door hangs and I can’t open the POD. Otherwise I am happy with the PODS experience. Communication at every step is very good.

Delivered on time, as promised. Used extra care with my trees, driveway, and other obstacles. Always polite. Sent someone to assist when I was having difficulty operating the door. Picked up pod as promised, on time, which these days is pretty rare. I found loading it easier than a truck, because it’s at ground level, having it on the premises was great, and I took my time. I will definitely use PODS again!

I moved from California to Texas using PODS. Then, this February, I moved from Texas back to California using PODS. I loved PODS the first time , and I loved PODS even more the second time. Using PODS is much quicker than a traditional moving Van company. And scheduling was a breeze. Each time, the packing and unloading crews were absolutely exceptional. The devil is in the details and every sales rep that I spoke with never mentioned that the contract would not be prorated at termination. I was billed for a month storage fee only using 2-days. The coordination from CA was a nightmare with calls to several call centers in Puerto Rico, Philippines and no answer or call back when requesting to speak with a Supervisor. Yes, it is an alternative to a major moving company, but there is package deal short term v long term storage fees.

Very pleased with the entire process. Everyone I spoke with was fantastic and would highly recommend Pods to all. It was very painless for me as I am 80 years old and the process was simple. All of my contents arrived safely and on schedule. I called when the Pods was unloaded and asked for removal. It was removed the next day, as we live where there is a HOA and the Pods was parked in ours and our neighbors driveway. That was extremely helpful.

I needed PODS to deliver and pick up a POD at the home I’m leaving and deliver to a PODS storage facility 400 miles away. I will be living with relatives while I look for a new home in this area. But I need the storage nearby to get needed medical supplies for my disabled wife. Seems simple enough. The representative gave me to good a price. I actually argued with him that the $149 he was charging for the pick up and delivery to the storage 400 miles away was too low and remind him this was long distance. He repeatedly said that being it was the same state that was the price. So I didn’t shop around and locked in.
Day before the PODS are to be delivered I get a notification that when I return the POD it will go to a local storage place. I call again and they assure me it is fixed. I receive and fill up the PODS. Again They send notification that it will returned to local storage. I call again 2 more time before someone tells me that they can fix it but the new price will be $4,500 more. Then after me getting angry they give me 1K off and say that I can cancel if I would rather. I’m not even living there anymore to unpack two 16 foot containers. Now I’ve wasted 4 hrs on phone calls and thousands of dollars that wasn’t planned for. The representatives, their computer system are terrible AND/OR this is a big bait and switch scam. Beware.

We’re happy with PODS. We needed their pod because we had a water problem in our family room. We booked it online and then spoke to someone on the phone who helped us through the rest of the process.
It was fun to watch the pod being delivered. We got the medium-sized one, and they placed it on our driveway. The people who dropped it off and picked it up were very nice.
We got the pod in September and kept it until around April. We didn’t think we’re gonna have it that long, but it was worth it. There were several pods down our street, so we felt pretty good.
The price was reasonable, and the pod was sturdy.

I was remodeling my garage, and everything from it went into the pod. I chose PODS because of the price, the ease of scheduling, and because I liked everything about them. I had also looked into PODS years ago for friends who were moving to Florida and recommended them. They didn’t use PODS and ended up spending five times as much.
Their customer service was great, very personable and knowledgeable, which was really nice. I was able to get an actual person on the phone. I had a question about scheduling a pickup, so I called and immediately reached a young man who was very helpful and set it up for me.
He said, “Okay, done,” so it was a very pleasant experience. Both drivers, Mark and Lionel, were great. The pod was placed exactly where I wanted it in my driveway, and everything worked out really well. I had it for a month, but I only ended up needing it for three weeks.
I’ve already recommended PODS to four friends. I told them you can’t beat the price and the service. Plus, you talk to real people. There were constant reminders also. I received reminders by email and text, like notifications about when the pod was being delivered and when the driver would have it.
They were constantly in touch, and I was very impressed. I even told two people over the phone that I was extremely impressed with the amount of contact. To mess this up, you’d have to be deaf, dumb, and blind.
I probably could have used two pods, but we made it work with the one I got and fit a lot of stuff into it. One of my neighbors had already used a pod, and I’m sure they saw mine too. Where my house is located, it’s a residential area with a lot of traffic, and my house sits right in the middle of the street.
Because of that, PODS is basically its own advertisement. You don’t even need a sign. I had the pod here for about two weeks, and then my neighbor got one. After that, I heard there were two more pods in our development. I’ve recommended PODS very highly.

Booking the first and third pod was easy. Everything went smoothly when I talked to someone and got it set up. The second pod was different. After they picked it up, it stayed in Maryland and never made it to South Carolina like it was supposed to.
I had to call back and tell them it was supposed to be delivered with the other pod. PODS said it didn’t show that it was supposed to be delivered, and I didn’t understand how that happened. I did eventually get it down here, so it worked out. It came a day later than the others.
The only issue I had was when I talked to a lady from PODS about the pod that didn’t show up. She said the website shouldn’t have let me move it and that I should have had to call someone for PODS to move it. I didn’t understand that, because the website showed that I could move it.
The pods were clean and unmarked when I first got them, and they weren’t damaged. When we received them in South Carolina, it was the same way. They were clean and undamaged, so none of our things were damaged. It was really good.
Once we had a delivery date, the driver called me personally, and each time they came out, I met with them. He placed the pods exactly where I wanted them. It only took a couple of minutes to drop the pod, and then they were gone. No issues at all.
Pickup was the same way. It took us a couple of days to load it, and they picked it up exactly when I asked. They called before coming, let me know they were on the way, and picked them up.
There are people around here who are moving because they’re building new houses. I’ve already told them they should use PODS because it’s simple, easy, and you can do everything on your own time.

I used the storage service of PODS. We had to move out of our house for a couple of months for renovations and we got two pods. They were size 16. They delivered those and they moved everything into them. I didn’t think it was going to happen but there was some room left on the second one. After a couple of months they brought the units back.
Everything was in good shape when they brought it back and there were no problems. Their pricing was good and was within what I expected. Their drivers were great and I called their customer service for schedules. We had a great overall experience.

The delivery of the original POD resulted in the door not being able to close, with snow on the way. My first phone call to customer service resulted in the representative suggesting I "put a tarp over it" and wait. Obviously this was unacceptable. I called back and explained to a different representative that it was about to start snowing and all my belongings were already loaded. They graciously put me in touch with the local storage facility. Kevin promptly sent someone to my home to fix the door. The delivery of my POD to my final location was efficient, accurately placed, and I appreciated the flexibility in scheduling pick-up. I am happy to report all contents were damage free.

I'm in the process of finalizing my move from Virginia to Idaho falls. I put in the end city as I didn't have an address. The website didn't alert me that they do not service this city and it auto converted my order to a local move. After all of my belongings were packed in the container and they picked it up I looked into when it would be able to go to Idaho. I ended up calling as I was told by the chat that it was a local move and would need to be converted to a long distance move. The guy said there was no storage location at that zip code. He suggested Boise and Salt Lake City which are both 3 hrs away.
Now that I have an address I'm still unable to get the pod delivered as it's outside the service area which is 200 miles. All they were able to suggest was that Lowes and Home Depot have cheaper moving vans than Uhaul. They have made no attempt to refund any of the $3k+ that I paid to have my belongings delivered. I will be contacting my lawyer to learn what options I have to collect the final delivery reimbursement as I now have to rent a truck to drive 3 hrs, unpack the pod and pack it into a truck then drive 3hrs back and unpack into my place. I used Upack when I moved from Michigan to Virginia and had no issues. Pods is more expensive, has worse customer service and has a smaller delivery service area. I will never use Pods again and would never recommend them to another person!

PODS' tech was very professional. I called to give her some kudos for such professionalism. I had a very good experience. The pod was roomy. I liked that we can walk into it and store our things. It was very useful for the time that I had it. After we stored a few things in there, we were able to add throughout the month, if needed. I liked that. The area that I stay in and my yard, a lot of groundhogs, raccoons, and possums come through. The pod is made where those animals cannot get in. That was the best part about it. I stored canned goods in there and I didn't need them to get into that and chew through certain things. Also, it's good for the types of weather that it was in during the winter months and the rain. It's very sturdy where nothing can get in and destroy what you have in it. I just wish that you all were able to fill the containers. If someone just wanted to right-out buy one, it can be made sellable.

Updated on 05/20/2025: After denying my claim and closing my case for 1 month, they suddenly responded saying they would repay me 44 cents on the dollar, but I would have to sign a confidentiality clause (gag order) and threatened me with legal action. I did not sign. I wish to change my star rating to ZERO. Clearly, I cannot and do not recommend this company.
Original Review: 2nd time using PODS. Also have used another pod like company. With no issues. This time, as usual, I used ratchet straps, moving blankets, towels, moving boxes and paper. Nothing in the container was loose. My POD must have been dropped or struck very hard. Ratchet straps were popped, furniture broken, boxes smashed, front door could not be opened. $1400 worth of damage, and yet they claim it was my fault. Never again. Avoid this company

First time using PODS and I was very impressed. Much better experience than dealing with traditional long distance moving companies. The drivers were prompt and courteous. Pricing also makes it much more attractive than traditional movers. My only complaint was the initial ordering process as the size recommended was much too small for a regular one bedroom apartment. So my move was delayed and cost added due to having to swap out the container for a larger one.

I cannot believe I have not used PODS more than I have so far. My experience was GREAT. I packed MY STUFF at MY PACE one time. It came back to me 21 months later, and it all looked like it did the day I packed it. Nothing was damaged or broken. There were no signs of moisture or extreme heat. I even left a small Allen wrench sitting on a box in the POD, and it was still sitting there. It was super easy and super convenient for us!!

This was the 1st time I have used PODS and I was moving out of state. Ca to Texas. I called to get a quote and they were a bit higher than a competitor so I said Thank You time but got a better quote elsewhere and hung up. Less than 5 minutes later a customer service specialist was on the phone with me from Pods. Not only did she match my cheaper quote, but came in a little under that quote just to get my business. I was impressed they took the time to do that. Everything went smoothly in CA. The Pod was delivered on time for me to pack it and then picked up on time for the pickup date. They stored my Pod in CA facility for 3 weeks and then I arranged my delivery date for my new address in Texas.
In Texas everything went smoothly as well. Dropped off on the date arranged and the empty Pod was picked up on the exact date arranged. The pod drivers were extremely good at their jobs and very professional. I loved the whole experience working with Pods….if you can say that when moving is stressful anyway. They made it much easier. I had many moving parts. PODS service agents were phenomenal and helpful. The on-line chat was so very handy. Each agent knew exactly what I was asking and they were so helpful!! The PODS drop off team were great too! I used Pack and Load in Carmichael and Williamsburg. Carmichael end was so great!! Brock and team were phenomenal, prompt, efficient and fun.. Williamsburg was good but they had challenges having to navigate 100% stairs.

We moved from GA to SC using a 16’ pod and an 8’ pod along with a U-Haul truck. We used Pack and Load to load and unload the large pod and the truck. We were limited with delivery and pickup days for pod move out of GA. The load crew did a very good job with one exception, they caused some small damage to two of my picture frames because they put too many pictures in the same box. Other than that they did a great job.

I paid extra to have Pods pack my pod. I took out insurance that I paid monthly. I hired movers to unpack the pod. My $6,000 cherry headboard for my king size bed has been severely scratched in multiple areas. I was told Pod was not responsible for furniture shifting. Pods just gave me “sorry “ letter and said goodbye. Didn't give me any consideration for the damages they caused.

They did exactly what they said they would on time and at price quoted. Initial contact person was very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with setting up my payment method. I moved from Nashville to CA and required two pods, one for storage and for loading and unloading. The planning and actual moving and loading process went lock clockwork. The Pod arriving in Seal Beach for unloading was about an hour late and cost me an extra $112 for the extra hour of labor as the movers had to wait around doing nothing. I was highly dissatisfied with that part of the move experience.

Stress free move from beginning to end. Great customer service. I have recommended PODS to my friends. I shopped around the other container companies and PODS was the most cost effective for our mileage long move. Everything in the container was just as my husband packed it. No shifting and nothing was damaged or broken.

From start to finish the move was easy! I was provided information relevant to my move. The person who talked to me about the service was knowledgeable and knew all the right questions to ask. I was guided step by step without pressure or fear. The techs who delivered my POD and picked it up and who delivered and picked up on the other end were efficient, friendly, and very knowledgeable. All four engaged with me, asked if I needed any additional support, and carefully maneuvered the POD with ease. They were respectful of my property and of my neighbors. I will never make another move without them!

I was using their services to transport some office furniture from one of my projects to another. They were extremely helpful and courteous to my needs during the moves. When things changed, they were able to pivot very quickly and efficiently to ensure that my moves went smoothly. I had a total of two moves, and the associates, dispatchers, and drivers were all very courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to move.

Everyone I worked with was friendly and professional, and everything was handled as scheduled. I needed storage without having to move my stuff off-site. Having the POD in my driveway was perfect. I could move things in and out as needed before the movers picked everything up a couple of months later. And I could pack things up at my own pace.

I am extremely happy with my decision to use PODS services during the sale of my house and move to my new home. Scheduling the service was easy, the communications from PODS helped to ensure that the process stayed on track, and the process overall was stress-free. We looked into using PODS because, unlike prior moves, we needed to move our belonging in one month to a new residence across the country, but we were not going to be able to get to the new location until several weeks later. PODS showed up with a container right on schedule. We hired movers to fill the pod, including a grand piano. Four hours later, the driver took our pod to a storage yard in Los Angeles. At the agreed date, they moved the pod to Wisconsin. When we were ready, they delivered the pod to our new address in Oshkosh WI. There we hired another crew to offload the pod. A few days later a truck came and picked up the pod. Maximum flexibility for us. And the move was a lot less expensive than if we had hired a straight moving company.

From scheduling, for which I had to make several changes, through final pick up, it was outstanding. The people were great at every step in the process. The drivers called and were friendly on arrival and took great pains to make sure that I was satisfied. I had to make several changes to my schedule and every time I call the scheduler was helpful and understood my concerns. All of the drivers communicated, made sure the unit was clean and all of my items were accounted for. I highly recommend your company to anyone moving or just storing items while home remodeling.

The gentleman who delivered the Pod was very professional and extremely accurate in the delivery and placement of our Pod. It is amazing to watch and so quick! I wish my grandkids could have been here to watch but neighbors certainly enjoyed watching the experience! We rented the Pod while we had some renovations done at our house and I highly recommend renting a Pod!'

Very positive experience. From del to pu and del to new house. I have to give an exceptional rating to the man that delivered the pod to the new house, I believe his name was Stacy. He went above and beyond. When he arrived he saw the pod was going to be in the wrong direction when he placed it on the driveway so he drove to a parking lot somewhere turned the pod around on the truck and made unloading much easier because the door was placed very conveniently to the garage. He was exceptional!!! I've already recommended your system to another friend. That's moving.

Smooth transactions from placing order to receiving delivery at the end of our move from NC to TX. No issues or complaints during the entire process. PODS staff were professional, polite and punctual throughout. Website can be a little slow when updating requests. Drivers who picked up or dropped off PODS were the best!

It was so nice to be able to pack up my items and walk them out to my driveway to store in my POD. Since I was a hurricane flood victim, it was only going to be for a short period of time until my house was dried out and repaired. I will use PODS again if needed.

The entire process for pick up from old home, storage at PODS’ facility and return to new home was excellent. The communications were timely, they positioned the POD correctly at both homes and everything fit correctly with no damage to any items. We used them 20 years ago and now the system again with their newer PODS.

Overall, the service was great. However, I’m quite disappointed that you don’t offer prorated fees. I was only one day late for my pick-up due to a lack of available time slots, yet I was charged for an entire additional month. That feels unfair and a bit like a cash grab.

Good communication from the call center and from the delivery/pickup drivers. Used military option as we are retired. Smooth transaction and highly recommend. As always, moving is expensive but having PODS move our items was a savings compared to driving a truck and the gas cost to do so.

I enjoy using PODS when I have to. The service is very thorough, very professional, and real quick. I usually book it over the phone, and the customer service is terrific. They always talk about the outside dimensions though, and they never tell you how big it is on the inside. They're not prominent enough.
The only problem I had this time was, when we got the pod delivered, we couldn't get the door open because stuff shifted on the inside. The tie-downs on the inside are different than they were the last time I did it, which were better. The new ones don't take up as much space, but they're harder to get to, and obviously didn't work as well as the other ones. But that was probably more my fault than anybody else's. I've got more straps for the next time. I'm ready to use them again because they're prompt and the service is great. I plan on ordering another one in another month or two.

I needed a storage container for a couple of months, and we chose PODS because they deliver it to your house and take it away while you’re doing what you need to do. It was convenient. I booked the pod online, and that went well. I got the 8‑foot pod, and it was the perfect size for me. The PODS drivers were great, both at delivery and pickup.

I’ve used PODS in Albuquerque and had excellent service, especially Timothy, he’s a gem. I booked by speaking with him directly, we arranged it, and it was taken care of.
I got three 16-footers and one 12-footer. The delivery went excellent, I coordinated with Timothy and it was in and out. The pods were strong and sturdy, they did what they were supposed to do.

I heard about PODS through advertising on television and radio. I looked up several different situations because I needed something to store my furniture in because I had sold my house. The other sites that I had explored were more expensive for the same type of unit. PODS was less than what the others charged. I need it to sit in my son's driveway for a few months. I was trying to have a house built onto some property across the street from him. I thought I was going to only need it for six months but I wound up using it for almost two and a half years and had it returned just recently.
Booking it wasn't hard. I called and talked to someone and they explained to me what all would happen and what all I needed to do, and asked me some questions about when I needed it and where it was going to be set. After that, I made the reservation for them to drop one off at the house that I used to live in. Once I got it filled, they took it from my house to my son's house and put it in the driveway there at his house. And that's where it sat until I recently moved again into my own place.
The unit was very clean. I like the way I could just have everything put in there. The only problem I had was that there was a leak somewhere towards the back of it. Some moisture got in there and broke a couple of things. But I kept it clean and since I had it in there for so long, I still had to clean out some things because it was outside.
They made sure that it was delivered correctly. And they positioned it exactly like I wanted them to. It was a good experience because they did what they said they would do. I was able to use it without any problems.

I was very impressed with PODS. I had them take the units to the place where I thought I was going to move, and it ended up being over an hour’s drive from their storage facility, so they made a separate trip out to deliver the pod. When they delivered the pod, I couldn’t open the doors. Stuff kind of shifted around, so it wasn’t their fault, and they came out and opened it up for me. I also needed the pod for another week, and they didn't charge me for the extra time I needed the pod.
I used a 16-foot and I was totally convinced that that was all I would need until the very last minute when I could no longer deny that I needed a second one, and they had strongly advised that I put a 8-foot on reserve, which I did ‘cause it didn’t cost anything to put it on reserve, and they brought that 8-foot out, and I filled it.
Everybody that I dealt with was very professional and friendly. The price was higher than I liked, but it was still a lot less than doing a full-service move. Their site wasn’t that great, but you could always call them, and they'd help you over the phone.

I used PODS for moving from San Juan Capistrano, California to Oak View, California. I talked to some guy in Florida. He was awesome. We then scheduled the pickup. Both drivers are great so, everything worked really well. It was a great experience. Everything was done on time. Nothing was broken.
