    The delivery was good without issue. The POD had been recently painted as the paint was wet when I opened the door and as such I got paint on myself, my clothes and my hands. I managed to clean the paint off of my hands but ruined my pants and shirt.

    Drop off and pickup for me to fill my pod was excellent. Great communication. Only issue I had was scheduling delivery drop off and POD removal. Had to reschedule since there was a large gap between the two dates (2 weeks). I would recommend this service towards friends and family but I would ensure to inform them about delivery and pickup.

    Service was better than expected - drop-off and pickup windows were accurate and the container itself was well maintained. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional. I particularly liked that PODS sorted the permit for placing the container in Denver, CO. I wish they were also able to do that in Austin, TX as that part of the move was a giant hassle. I felt pricing was fair (after discounts) and wish there was a monetary incentive for recommending PODS to friends.

    I received a quote from PODS on December 11 with the cost of $2,436.22 for "Move and Discounted 1st Month Container Rental." That amount included the Transportation Mileage. I placed my order. The container was delivered on December 26, picked up on December 30, delivered to the destination on January 11, and picked up on January 16. Regardless of the stated and agreed-upon quote, on December 24, I was charged $2498.04 for the transportation. On January 1, 2025, I was charged $504.71, and on January 12, $99.66. I contacted customer service and asked for a legitimate credit of $624.51 (2498.04 - 1873.53), which was an extra charge for the transportation mileage. Nevertheless, I did not get my money back.

    My brother had used them previously, so we went with PODS to store our furniture until our new house was built. We got three 16-foot containers, which were the largest size they had.

    The customer experience was just great. They were very helpful and accommodating the whole time. Delivering the empty pods to us and then delivering the filled-up pods back to our new place went seamless. The quote was right in line with what we were expecting, and I would absolutely use them again in the future.

    PODS did a good job with scheduling but I was disappointed in their pricing. What I thought was my final bill paid up front did not include an additional $82 dollars for pick up. Their original quote did not include this, which I find to be a bit misleading. Read the fine print!

    Awful experience and total… Awful experience and total misrepresentation - booked POD and cost was over $700. We scheduled delivery and attempted to schedule pick up, “the center it is being delivered does not pick up 5 days a week”. I explained that that was an issue and had them take an empty container back since they did not explain at time of booking that only certain days would be available for pickup. It is 2 months later and $100 refund is all they would issue - we will continue to battle and not recommend. Our daughter had issue with general service and competence when she tried to book as well.

    Using PODS was a truly great decision. It was SO convenient having the POD right in our driveway - we could load and unload at our convenience and at times and durations of our choosing, with no need to drive anywhere, etc. The POD itself was clean and in great shape, and the gentlemen who helped us were very friendly and courteous.     Was initially told that the service would be performed at MY convenience and on MY timeline. Actuality is anything but! Delivery to my home was perfect. On the other end however, not at all. Moving approx 1300 miles away, I scheduled pickup for 5/22 to begin the journey to the final destination but the container can't be delivered until 6/2/25 (11 days from pick-up!!). I can drive my car the entire trip in 14 hours, WHY and HOW can it possibly take 11 DAYS!!! So, I'll be sleeping on the floor of my new home until they deliver my belongings to me..... How thrilled with this service do you think I'll be by then????

    We've had it for more than a year. I did PODS because I knew that I could keep it. Put all my stuff in the pod between moves because I had to sell my house. And we just settled on March 28th, and then we had to move the pod to our location. I like it. It was very convenient. It was user-friendly because I couldn't do any of that stuff, so if I could figure it out, it must have been pretty easy. Because I am not computer-savvy with any of that stuff. I usually have my daughters do all that, like, "Here, figure it out for me." And I had my bill paid through an automatic payment, so that made it very easy.
    He was very polite. He had gotten the wheel of the thing that lifts it stuck in the dirt, and he figured that out real quick, lifted it, and delivered it perfectly fine. I met him where we had it for him to take it to the house we bought. We had two guys because we had my pod at my daughter's house, and we had to move it because her landlord was complaining about it. We moved it to a friend of mine's house, then moved it to the house we bought. So we had two different guys for moving it, and both of them were fantastic. Everything was good. Even my curio cabinets that you would think would not survive moving because they get jostled around, and I couldn't believe that he had them well-packed in there too, packed very tight, but I didn't have a problem.

    Definitely order through PODS to use them. I thought for me it was convenient because all my stuff was in one place, and if I have to move it, you move the pod. You're not packing and unloading the truck, then reloading it and all that nonsense. It's all in one spot, and then you're only unpacking it once.

    I had scheduled my container delivery with PODS for April 26, 2025, and planned my entire move around this confirmed date. Throughout the day, PODS kept rescheduling my delivery without clear communication. At the end of the day, after waiting for hours, I received an email informing me that they would not deliver at all — and that it might take another 3 to 7 days to reschedule. This last-minute cancellation caused significant disruption, extra expenses for temporary accommodations, and major stress during an already difficult move.

    PODS’ handling of the situation showed a complete lack of professionalism, responsibility, and respect for their customers’ time and plans. I chose PODS because of their reputation for reliability, but my experience was anything but reliable. I would not recommend this company to anyone who needs dependable service, especially for something as important as a move. Very disappointing experience — I expected better. I’m.

    Quoted $2700 for longest move, got pod, filled it and ready to go after a couple of months once my house sold, now they’re going to charge me over $4600. They advertise $1000 to $3000 for a long distant moving. Unloaded pod and got another long-distance mover for half the price. My one month payment had already gone through and because I was 13 days into that month and not “10 days” they wouldn’t refund the two weeks. They said the quote was only good for seven days, which I agreed upon, but it was obviously not saved. What a joke! A waste of your money and your time! Beware!!!

    DO NOT USE THE COMPANY. Not clear about pricing and blame their errors on you and force you to foot the bill. You think they are until you store you pod and then when you go to move, the price to have the pod shipped it somehow costs twelve thousand dollars to ship my pod 1200 miles. I wish I was joking at the absurdity of this. They then blamed me for my account being listed as local even though when I initially got my quote, I was very clear that I would be moving long distance and needed to store my pod for a couple months. Because of this they said I had the wrong pod and that's why it was 12,000 dollars to ship.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Cannot state this enough. This has been the worst trying to move I have ever had. After 3 hours of a phone call, they were able to bring the price down to 4,000 dollars which was still absurd especially when I was quoted 1,500 when I booked the pod. You're better off selling your furniture and buying it new if you cannot immediately move into a new location. I kept trying to ask for specific prices and what my next expected bill might be and they couldn't even provide me with that information. STAY AWAY. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Horrible experience. I wish I had just sold my stuff and bought new furniture when I finally moved into a new place. Let me be the one to have learned this horrible lesson and try and make sure you don't face the same horrible fate as me. I genuinely had to rent a UHAUL to get my items since PODS screwed me over and lied about their pricing or it "changes" whenever they feel like it.

    I was having renovation on my home, needed some things moved out temporarily, and PODS was the most convenient way to do it. I started out online, but the website wasn't the easiest to maneuver, so I wound up doing it over the phone. The delivery went well, but I had problems with the pick-up, and I’m still in the middle of trying to solve payment on the pick-up issue. They were supposed to pick it up on a Friday, so it wouldn’t coincide with movers bringing the rest of my stuff in. They couldn’t do it and rescheduled it for Monday. The driver came by, there was a trash bin in front of the pod, he decided he couldn't pick up the pod and left. After a long conversation with the PODS people in Baton Rouge, they still came to pick up the pod when the movers were here. It worked out, but I was trying to avoid that.

    In the interim, when they had to cancel the Friday pick-up, they were gonna give me a $50 credit for the $81 charge to pick up the pod. But when all was said and done, they never gave me the $50 credit. I called them, spoke to a customer service rep who said they would give me the $50 credit, but it turned up in my checking account as a $50 debit. They said they were gonna reverse it, but they sent me a check for $50. It should have been a $100 reversal which included the $50 credit, but they sent me a check for $50, which only makes it even.

    My adult son, his baby mama, and their three-year-old had to move in here for a while. They brought all their stuff so I needed a place to put some of it. I used PODS due to availability and price. We got a pretty big pod. It was clean and sturdy. If there was a sticking point, it would have been the way the roller doors sometimes stuck from time to time. But it was really not a problem. You just recognize what's going on and give it a little nudge.

    We had the pod for over two years and it was $273 a month. What would be really cool for me as a user would be if PODS told me upfront how much it would cost to buy this thing. When you rent it and then exceed that by some kind of profit margin, 15%, then it's yours. I wasn't quite done with the pod but I got rid of it. It was thousands of dollars just for the one thing. That's the only complaint I have. Everything else was awesome. The people were good and so was the pick-up was good and delivery.

    I used PODS for moving and storage. I had a previous company that I had arranged for long in advance, and they canceled at the very last second. I went to PODS and booked them over the phone. The customer service rep was excellent. They were able to accommodate me very quickly. I used a medium and a small pod. They had barely enough room, though.     I ordered two 16-foot PODS containers, and it was convenient because they could go in my front yard or my driveway. The website and ordering process were really nice and easy to use.

    During the drop-off, I somehow made a mistake on the dates. I had one scheduled for delivery on one day, and the second PODS was supposed to come three days later, but that would have been too late. I probably made a mistake online when I changed the date.

    The driver who delivered the first POD arranged for me to have the second POD delivered the next day early in the morning because that’s when I needed it since my furniture was being moved. He was amazing. The second driver who came out was just as good. When we realized that the POD had to be reversed to access the doors, he went through the extra steps to turn it and get it in the driveway just right. These guys were amazing. The PODS were clean, and they even gave me two free locks.

    I had the PODS for about a month, three days beyond what would then be recharged. For the price, I wish it were a little cheaper. Overall, PODS is wonderful if you need it for furniture or even for a move.

    I chose PODS because it was convenient for my move. I fond that the 16 foot container was big enough or my needs. The drivers who picked up ang delivered my pod were fine. The one issue I ha was with the door mechanism. There's a roller mechanism and a corrugated door, and some of my stuff got jammed up in it, and we couldn't open the door. They need to really fix that mechanism.

    I was remodeling out of my city and I wanted something that I could rely on. PODS seemed like the right answer. It seemed easy. It’s for when you're in need and you wanna do it fast and professionally. They had a really good website and setup. The communication was stellar too. The crew arrived two hours early, which was fine. I was four hours away. I wanted to be there because placement was so important because of our HOA rules. At the last minute, I decided to drive down the night before. It was good because they were there at 8:00. It would have been a disaster otherwise. They told me they were gonna be there at 10:00.     I needed a storage container quickly to handle some garage overflow. I made all my arrangements via the PODS website, which was very straightforward. I liked the explicit instructions for preparing a drop zone in my driveway. I had rented a container from a competitor in 2017, so I knew the routine. A tow truck with a container on the back blocked my street to unload it. I thought it was efficient. Well, when PODZILLA showed up to deliver my container, I was really impressed!

    "PODZILLA is a hydraulic lift system used by PODS (Portable On Demand Storage) to deliver and pick up their portable storage containers. It allows drivers to maneuver the containers onto and off their trucks while keeping them level, even in hard-to-reach locations." --The Internet. The driver parked across the street, not blocking anyone. With a tethered controller he used PODZILLA to lift the container off the truck, across the street, into my driveway accurately, and lowered it while making small placement adjustments. The whole process took only 20 minutes from arrival to departure. The driver was super, we had a great chat. I kept it for 3.5 months and just as simply requested it to be picked up. My billing was taken care of quickly and the invoices were easy to understand.

    The devil is in the details and every sales rep that I spoke with never mentioned that the contract would not be prorated at termination. I was billed for a month storage fee only using 2-days. The coordination from CA was a nightmare with calls to several call centers in Puerto Rico, Philippines and no answer or call back when requesting to speak with a Supervisor. Yes, it is an alternative to a major moving company, but there is package deal short term v long term storage fees.

    I needed PODS to deliver and pick up a POD at the home I’m leaving and deliver to a PODS storage facility 400 miles away. I will be living with relatives while I look for a new home in this area. But I need the storage nearby to get needed medical supplies for my disabled wife. Seems simple enough. The representative gave me to good a price. I actually argued with him that the $149 he was charging for the pick up and delivery to the storage 400 miles away was too low and remind him this was long distance. He repeatedly said that being it was the same state that was the price. So I didn’t shop around and locked in.

    Day before the PODS are to be delivered I get a notification that when I return the POD it will go to a local storage place. I call again and they assure me it is fixed. I receive and fill up the PODS. Again They send notification that it will returned to local storage. I call again 2 more time before someone tells me that they can fix it but the new price will be $4,500 more. Then after me getting angry they give me 1K off and say that I can cancel if I would rather. I’m not even living there anymore to unpack two 16 foot containers. Now I’ve wasted 4 hrs on phone calls and thousands of dollars that wasn’t planned for. The representatives, their computer system are terrible AND/OR this is a big bait and switch scam. Beware.

    I was remodeling my garage, and everything from it went into the pod. I chose PODS because of the price, the ease of scheduling, and because I liked everything about them. I had also looked into PODS years ago for friends who were moving to Florida and recommended them. They didn’t use PODS and ended up spending five times as much.

    Their customer service was great, very personable and knowledgeable, which was really nice. I was able to get an actual person on the phone. I had a question about scheduling a pickup, so I called and immediately reached a young man who was very helpful and set it up for me.

    He said, “Okay, done,” so it was a very pleasant experience. Both drivers, Mark and Lionel, were great. The pod was placed exactly where I wanted it in my driveway, and everything worked out really well. I had it for a month, but I only ended up needing it for three weeks.

    I’ve already recommended PODS to four friends. I told them you can’t beat the price and the service. Plus, you talk to real people. There were constant reminders also. I received reminders by email and text, like notifications about when the pod was being delivered and when the driver would have it.

    They were constantly in touch, and I was very impressed. I even told two people over the phone that I was extremely impressed with the amount of contact. To mess this up, you’d have to be deaf, dumb, and blind.

    I probably could have used two pods, but we made it work with the one I got and fit a lot of stuff into it. One of my neighbors had already used a pod, and I’m sure they saw mine too. Where my house is located, it’s a residential area with a lot of traffic, and my house sits right in the middle of the street.

    Because of that, PODS is basically its own advertisement. You don’t even need a sign. I had the pod here for about two weeks, and then my neighbor got one. After that, I heard there were two more pods in our development. I’ve recommended PODS very highly.

    Booking the first and third pod was easy. Everything went smoothly when I talked to someone and got it set up. The second pod was different. After they picked it up, it stayed in Maryland and never made it to South Carolina like it was supposed to.

    I had to call back and tell them it was supposed to be delivered with the other pod. PODS said it didn’t show that it was supposed to be delivered, and I didn’t understand how that happened. I did eventually get it down here, so it worked out. It came a day later than the others.

    The only issue I had was when I talked to a lady from PODS about the pod that didn’t show up. She said the website shouldn’t have let me move it and that I should have had to call someone for PODS to move it. I didn’t understand that, because the website showed that I could move it.

    The pods were clean and unmarked when I first got them, and they weren’t damaged. When we received them in South Carolina, it was the same way. They were clean and undamaged, so none of our things were damaged. It was really good.

    Once we had a delivery date, the driver called me personally, and each time they came out, I met with them. He placed the pods exactly where I wanted them. It only took a couple of minutes to drop the pod, and then they were gone. No issues at all.

    Pickup was the same way. It took us a couple of days to load it, and they picked it up exactly when I asked. They called before coming, let me know they were on the way, and picked them up.

    There are people around here who are moving because they’re building new houses. I’ve already told them they should use PODS because it’s simple, easy, and you can do everything on your own time.

    I'm in the process of finalizing my move from Virginia to Idaho falls. I put in the end city as I didn't have an address. The website didn't alert me that they do not service this city and it auto converted my order to a local move. After all of my belongings were packed in the container and they picked it up I looked into when it would be able to go to Idaho. I ended up calling as I was told by the chat that it was a local move and would need to be converted to a long distance move. The guy said there was no storage location at that zip code. He suggested Boise and Salt Lake City which are both 3 hrs away.

    Now that I have an address I'm still unable to get the pod delivered as it's outside the service area which is 200 miles. All they were able to suggest was that Lowes and Home Depot have cheaper moving vans than Uhaul. They have made no attempt to refund any of the $3k+ that I paid to have my belongings delivered. I will be contacting my lawyer to learn what options I have to collect the final delivery reimbursement as I now have to rent a truck to drive 3 hrs, unpack the pod and pack it into a truck then drive 3hrs back and unpack into my place. I used Upack when I moved from Michigan to Virginia and had no issues. Pods is more expensive, has worse customer service and has a smaller delivery service area. I will never use Pods again and would never recommend them to another person!

The area that I stay in and my yard, a lot of groundhogs, raccoons, and possums come through. The pod is made where those animals cannot get in. That was the best part about it. Ratchet straps were popped, furniture broken, boxes smashed, front door could not be opened. $1400 worth of damage, and yet they claim it was my fault. Never again. Avoid this company

    We moved from GA to SC using a 16’ pod and an 8’ pod along with a U-Haul truck. We used Pack and Load to load and unload the large pod and the truck. We were limited with delivery and pickup days for pod move out of GA. The load crew did a very good job with one exception, they caused some small damage to two of my picture frames because they put too many pictures in the same box. Other than that they did a great job.

    I paid extra to have Pods pack my pod. I took out insurance that I paid monthly. I hired movers to unpack the pod. My $6,000 cherry headboard for my king size bed has been severely scratched in multiple areas. I was told Pod was not responsible for furniture shifting. Pods just gave me “sorry “ letter and said goodbye. Didn't give me any consideration for the damages they caused.

    We looked into using PODS because, unlike prior moves, we needed to move our belonging in one month to a new residence across the country, but we were not going to be able to get to the new location until several weeks later. PODS showed up with a container right on schedule. We hired movers to fill the pod, including a grand piano. Four hours later, the driver took our pod to a storage yard in Los Angeles. At the agreed date, they moved the pod to Wisconsin. When we were ready, they delivered the pod to our new address in Oshkosh WI. There we hired another crew to offload the pod. A few days later a truck came and picked up the pod. Maximum flexibility for us. And the move was a lot less expensive than if we had hired a straight moving company.

    I enjoy using PODS when I have to. The service is very thorough, very professional, and real quick. I usually book it over the phone, and the customer service is terrific. They always talk about the outside dimensions though, and they never tell you how big it is on the inside. They're not prominent enough.

    The only problem I had this time was, when we got the pod delivered, we couldn't get the door open because stuff shifted on the inside. The tie-downs on the inside are different than they were the last time I did it, which were better. The new ones don't take up as much space, but they're harder to get to, and obviously didn't work as well as the other ones. But that was probably more my fault than anybody else's. I've got more straps for the next time. I'm ready to use them again because they're prompt and the service is great. I plan on ordering another one in another month or two.

    I heard about PODS through advertising on television and radio. I looked up several different situations because I needed something to store my furniture in because I had sold my house. The other sites that I had explored were more expensive for the same type of unit. PODS was less than what the others charged. I need it to sit in my son's driveway for a few months. I was trying to have a house built onto some property across the street from him. I thought I was going to only need it for six months but I wound up using it for almost two and a half years and had it returned just recently.

    Booking it wasn't hard. I called and talked to someone and they explained to me what all would happen and what all I needed to do, and asked me some questions about when I needed it and where it was going to be set. After that, I made the reservation for them to drop one off at the house that I used to live in. Once I got it filled, they took it from my house to my son's house and put it in the driveway there at his house. And that's where it sat until I recently moved again into my own place.

    The unit was very clean. I like the way I could just have everything put in there. The only problem I had was that there was a leak somewhere towards the back of it. Some moisture got in there and broke a couple of things. But I kept it clean and since I had it in there for so long, I still had to clean out some things because it was outside.

    They made sure that it was delivered correctly. And they positioned it exactly like I wanted them to. It was a good experience because they did what they said they would do. I was able to use it without any problems.

    I was very impressed with PODS. I had them take the units to the place where I thought I was going to move, and it ended up being over an hour’s drive from their storage facility, so they made a separate trip out to deliver the pod. When they delivered the pod, I couldn’t open the doors. Stuff kind of shifted around, so it wasn’t their fault, and they came out and opened it up for me. I also needed the pod for another week, and they didn't charge me for the extra time I needed the pod.

    I used a 16-foot and I was totally convinced that that was all I would need until the very last minute when I could no longer deny that I needed a second one, and they had strongly advised that I put a 8-foot on reserve, which I did ‘cause it didn’t cost anything to put it on reserve, and they brought that 8-foot out, and I filled it.

    Everybody that I dealt with was very professional and friendly. The price was higher than I liked, but it was still a lot less than doing a full-service move. Their site wasn’t that great, but you could always call them, and they'd help you over the phone.

    We just got the large 16-foot container and did a cross-country move. Receiving the empty pod was great. Having it picked up was great. There was a little bit of confusion on getting it across the country, where your guys' system kind of freaked out. It had said originally that it was gonna be picked up on the 7th and then be in the new area on the 14th. Then out of nowhere, on the 12th, it said it wasn't going to be picked up for three more days and won't be delivered for another week and a half, which freaked us out. But when we called and spoke to someone on the phone, they said that, in fact, it was already in Maryland. So, no idea what happened with your system. Well, that's one. There is an issue in getting it delivered to us at our final destination from the receiving facility, where I don't know why. But the two different people we spoke to over the phone through the main line both told us that the facility where it was being stored only did pickups and deliveries on one day of the week. And of course, we were calling the day before that day, which is too soon to put in a request. So we had to wait an additional week and a change to get our pod. But when the driver brought it out, he was very confused 'cause his facility works all five days of the week. Overall good.

    I hired PODS because I was getting my garage floor epoxied, so I used it for storage. Getting a pod was as easy as apple pie. I did everything online.

    They texted me a day or two before delivery, and then I got a call from the driver when he was about a half hour out. The pod was the perfect size and I got all my stuff inside.

    When it was time for pickup, I set that up online as well. I got an email the night before saying what time they’d be there, and then another call about a half hour before they arrived. It was no pain whatsoever.

    I had a very disappointing experience with this company. From day one, I encountered issues and miscommunications. First, I was promised 30 days of storage at the drop-off location, which turned out not to be the case. Then, I was informed that I would receive a month of storage for free, but it was actually included in the bill. The most frustrating part was the delay in receiving my container at my new location, which was supposed to take 6 to 9 days but ended up taking over three weeks.     Getting a pod from PODS is simple and fairly straightforward. I had used them before when I had some flooring installed and got a pod for a couple of days while that was happening. For this particular occasion, I was having my house remodeled, so I had everything put into a pod for storage.

    I did most of the booking online. The mouse I was using was a little too sensitive and it clicked the wrong date. I wasn’t able to change that on the website and had to physically call the next day to have them change it. I also spoke to someone to clarify the size of the pod. I had a two-bedroom home and wanted to verify if the larger one was going to be sufficient. Unfortunately, it wasn’t, but whatever wouldn’t fit in the 16-foot pod, I was able to store elsewhere.

    The pod was delivered exactly how it was described. We had the street cleared, the guy delivered it, we signed for it, and off he went. Everything was totally fine, except I used PODS recommendations for movers, and that particular part was not as great. The pod wasn’t exactly brand-new, but it was certainly in good condition. It was clean, there was no damage, and I had it stored for a year. When they returned it, it was in exactly the same condition.

    I did not have a good experience with pods, lacking, basic customer service. I scheduled a POD to be delivered, the day of the delivery I received an email stating my order has been canceled. I called and asked why, they said the card I had on file would not go through I checked the account in funds were available. I rescheduled the POD delivery, checking that particular account again to make sure funds were available and they were.

    The day before the second pod was supposed to be delivered, I received an email stating it was canceled again, calling the second time I was told that my bank was flagging their request for payment as fraud. I asked if that is what happen on the first cancellation they said yes. I asked why I wasn’t told that the first time, they said “I don’t know.”I asked if there was any way they could help me out because I have movers scheduled they said no sorry and hung up the phone. Their customer service center is obviously not in the United States. As I could barely understand the person I was speaking to who was quite rude and short I will not use pods again.

    As a member of the military community, I was referred to PODS as a recommended moving solution. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but satisfactory. I am deeply disappointed that a company recommended to the military community has provided such a poor level of service and transparency. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to better serve your customers, especially those who have served our country. The problems started with miscommunication regarding the pod pickup.

    The representative suggested dropping off one pod at a time while picking up the full pod upon delivering a new empty one. However, this was not what transpired, despite our daily confirmations with PODS about the pickup date, all while knowing that our HOA would charge us for having a pod longer than five days. They delivered the new pod but showed no intention of collecting the initial one. This led to penalties from our HOA and restricted parking for our vehicles. On the day of our open house for the property we needed to sell, two pods were in the driveway, forcing us to cancel the event and leaving the house on the market for yet another week!

    I discovered that I needed to adjust the closing date of my home purchase after a supervisor mentioned there was a limited delivery schedule of only two days per week at my new location. To avoid incurring additional charges for extending into the following month, I insisted on the delivery date being five days before the end of the month. Consequently, I had to move my closing date earlier, which resulted in change fees. The lack of transparency and flexibility in your delivery schedule caused me considerable inconvenience and unexpected expenses.

    The overall rates charged by PODS were exorbitant, particularly given the issues I encountered. Even when informed that this was on the expensive side, I still opted for pods as I did not want to confront the reality that you get what you pay for. The lack of transparency in your pricing structure and hidden fees has left me feeling taken advantage of as a customer. To make matters worse, your customer service representatives have been unresponsive and unhelpful in resolving these problems. I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to get a satisfactory resolution, to no avail. Every dispute was filed, yet the best that PODS could offer was an $84 refund. The penalties and fines I incurred due to all the pods' “mistakes” exceeded that amount! Do Better PODS!

    I had someone who was supposed to help me with the packing and moving of my stuff, but he pulled out at the last minute. Around the same time, I saw my neighbor using PODS and said, “Okay.     I initiated the delivery with PODS online. If it’s long-distance, you have to call. All the customer service was good. I would definitely use them again. It’s easy to use and cost-effective. I like the way that the pods are able to be delivered and picked up. And it was easy to open the door of the actual storage container. Their flexibility is another factor.     I bought a new condo and it was furnished so I didn’t need all of the furniture that I had.     I would have given this review 5 stars - from the start PODS made everything easy and apparently transparent. The customer service was always good whenever I called the customer service line with questions, and the contract seemed clear. Pick up and scheduling were well communicated and they were right on time each time. The reason for the 3 stars is for the final delivery of the Pod. They held the Pod in storage for us until we got to our new home, and then scheduled the delivery date to the house. The contract stated the price for the final delivery, which was under $200. However, before deliver we got a final invoice for more than $700.

    When I called to inquire, they said we get charged for mileage for the final delivery from storage. That was not clarified, and certainly the price was not clarified. When I calculated the miles, we charged at a rate of more than $8/mile. Really put very sour period at the end of what was otherwise a good experience. Ask lots of questions and get everything in writing in advance.

From start to finish, after researching MANY other companies, they had the BEST prices, BEST options for what we were needing, BEST customer service accessibility and BEST flexibility!     We put my daughter's belongings into a PODS container in October 2023 pending a move into a new home. Due to some problems she was not able to move into the new home until March 2025. I paid about $3,400 in storage fees over 17 months in addition to initial pick-up and final drop-off fees. Overall the service was good, but problem occurred with the drop-off. The driver backed over the outside water shut off valve to her home which resulted in her not having water available. The driver was aware of the problem and even recorded the damage by taking pictures. Fortunately a subcontractor plumber for the builder was on-site at the time and was able to do a quick repair for $120. Because this was an emergency situation, I was only concerned with getting the problem corrected quickly, paid cash for the repair and never bothered to get a receipt for the repair.

    The PODS claims department refuses to pay the repair costs since I didn't have a receipt. I would think that over having paid over $3,600 for PODS' services that they would be more cooperative in paying for a problem caused by their driver. It is as though once they dropped off the POD and got paid, they no longer even want to communicate on the issue.

    Ordering a PODS container is easy. They make it that way intentionally. They will deliver it whenever you want. After you order it and it's on its way, they start making a profit you your customer service goes out the window. Upon delivery, I asked him to put it in a location about 36" from my carport so the entrance faced the carport. Of course I had to sign a waiver that basically gives PODS permission to destroy your property without retribution... and that's what they did. Left a big dent in my barndo carport. C'est la vie. They did promise me a monthly military discount which they later reneged and said it was for the first month only.

    Finally, scheduling a pickup was a nightmare. I work in Austin, TX five days a week and near Greenville, TX. I think it's fair to assume the pickup was as easy as the delivery; on a Saturday. I was informed they only pickup on Tuesdays but I didn't have to be present. Oh but I do... I have dogs and a locked gate to my property... Someone has to be there to put the dogs away and unlock the gate for truck entry.

    After attempting to call them several times and getting put on hold with a wait time of four minutes (weird that it was always four minutes) the option is to push "1" on the keypad to hold your place in light and get a call back. I push "1" and the recording says "due to high call volumes, it may take several hours for a return call". So now the ability to talk to someone live is unpredictable at best... but they never called back anyway. Several times I went ahead and waited the "four" minutes and miraculously, it was four minutes. I say several times because twice during a transfer, the call dropped, and twice I was told they would have the "local" area supervisor call me back to work a Saturday delivery - this never happened, no one called me back. Finally I settled on Tuesday Deliver just to get rid of it - but since I am running out of characters, that's a boondoggle story for another day.

    We got an 8 x 8 pod from PODS. I called them up, got a price, and it was better than other ways, so that’s the route we went. The pod was big enough, but there were a few things that we couldn’t fit. We probably could have used a little more room, but the alternative was like a 16 x 8, so it’s a huge jump.

    Our experience was great except for when we couldn’t open the door of the pod. My husband got completely black and blue all over his forearms trying to open it and still couldn’t get it open. I called PODS and asked them to come out and fix it because everything had shifted.

    Another contractor came over and they were just relentless in unloading boxes. We couldn’t open the door no matter what until several boxes were unloaded all over the driveway and they were able to lift it up. Other than that issue, everything was fine.

    With PODS, it was awesome. I would absolutely use it again and recommend it. We had a great experience. We were moving, and it was through HireAHelper, with which we did not have a good experience.

    The PODS delivery was fine. They came and dropped it off, and the guy was very professional and excellent. They put it right where we wanted it to, and there were no issues at all.

    We had it here for a week. We hired two men from HireAHelper to come the following Saturday and unload the pod for us, but what I got was one man, one 12-year-old boy and a woman. My wife and I – both with chronic illnesses – had to assist them, doing two-thirds of the work, and they charged me full price. If two people actually showed up, it would have been fair, so I feel like I was grossly overcharged.

I didn't have to hurry up and get it all there. And then when we were ready to definitely pass the papers and we knew when we were gonna be down there, I could have PODS take it down. We then could take our time unloading it as well.

    They were very nice. The gentleman that delivered it asked me where I wanted to put it and what way to face it. Same thing when we got it delivered in Florida, so it worked out very well.     I needed to move some belongings but didn’t want to drive a moving truck. So I decided to book with PODS. The booking process was done over the phone and everything went fine and the representative I spoke with was good. I’m totally satisfied. I don’t have any complaints.

    I got two 16-foot pods. One was much older, it had a wooden floor, wooden side timbers, and hardly any tie-downs. I had to buy eyelets and add them myself to secure my things, and the floor wasn’t strong enough for my toolboxes, the wheels even went through it. The second pod was much better built, with aluminum uprights, plenty of tie-downs including welded corner ones, and a solid composite floor.

    I heard that when other moving companies get long distances, they deliver on their own schedule and people wait a very long time for their merchandise or belongings. But I didn’t want that, I wanted deliveries on my own schedule.

    For the first phase of my move, I got an 8-foot storage unit and had it sent down to where I am and had it held in storage. I ordered a second pod and had people help us for all the larger items and for the rest of our belongings. I was able to get it here within seven days. It was two days after we moved into the house so we didn’t have to wait that long. They dropped off and picked up when they said they would and it worked out very well.

    The booking process was decent. I didn’t know my way around how to do the order and the first person helped me schedule it. He explained how the payments work, the rental and the drop off.

    When I ordered the second one and had that sent down directly, he realized that I had a unit in the storage. They actually arranged to swap them out on the same day. I didn’t know I could do that and I thought I had to do it on separate days. They didn’t come at the same time but that’s okay. One got picked up and then the other one got dropped off later on that same day.

    The pod was clean and had no issues with it. They were careful not to drive the contraption on the grass. There was a slight indentation but nothing that ripped up the lawn. I was also surprised that there was no moisture in the units, even the one that was held in storage.

    I would rate PODS a 5 for the service. It was a little pricey but they did come a long way. They went from New York to North Carolina so that’s expected. I got everything on my schedule. Overall, I had a very good experience.

    I called four companies and had a different one scheduled but they never showed up. The other one was a little cheaper than the PODS, but then they gave me a discount, so it made it the same price as the other one. First I asked for a pod big enough for 4 bedroom house and still had to rent a second pod and use my shed for storage. There was no way 4 bedrooms worth of furniture would fit into one. I would have also appreciated knowing that if you use your pod for a long period of time it must be aired out regularly to keep mildew from forming on all my belongings. The pod is gone now and I would have to seriously think about ever using another one. The price is outrageous and had I any clue that my remold of my home was going to take so long I would have rented a storage building much more efficient in price.

    The PODS move was very good. There were many communications, which was good. However, it felt like there would be added charges for any needed changes. There was some damage of the goods upon arrival, but nothing too bad. Interestingly, the delivery driver recommended using mats to help limit the amount of marks on the driveway. The driver who picked up the POD did not use them and left some pretty significant marks. Curious why there is an inconsistency there. Overall, however, the move was productive and probably less expensive than having a moving company complete it. Still a bit more than expected, but it was good exercise to move the household goods ourselves.

    We needed something where we could store because we were moving out of our place but we did not have a place to go. And we looked at the prices of storage units, and so we chose PODS because they would bring the pod to the house, we could load it up, and then it could be stored until we found a place.

    Our real estate agent Tyler was the one who made the booking for us when they were brought to the house. When they were delivered after being in storage for almost a year, I went online to find which one of the three pods I wanted delivered, pick the day, pick the pick-up. I had two large 16-foot long pods, and the third was a 12-foot long one.

    There was a little bit of rain damage that must have come in through the roof because one of our boxes was well soaked at the bottom. So, we did have a little bit of damage to that one box. Fortunately, it was nothing that could not be replaced. For what we needed, PODS was very good. It was convenient to use.

    I used PODS for the first time back in 2015, and I have now used them three times. At that time, I was relocating from Florida to Denver for a job and I was looking into cross-country travelers. PODS came up as the most inexpensive that allowed me to store my items in one place without having to get a storage unit. I interacted with the driver to acknowledge that I was there. They were quite equipped and professional to do their job. We did have a conversation about how far I wanted the pod to be in the driveway. They came and did their job. I didn't even know they were there at one point, from picking up and dropping off. They were very efficient.

    I could tell the pod definitely had been used. I had a little trouble with the door guard and putting my lock into place. The door handle was bent. The pod gentleman had left. So, when I went to put my lock on it, my comment was, “Oh, these have been used.” PODS should make sure that the sliding door for the locks are usable. But overall, I absolutely recommend PODS to friends. I have already done that with two friends who are also moving. So, I've tried to take advantage of the referral opportunity when it's been offered.

    This is the absolute worst way to store or ship your items. I was given a quote of 1400+ to ship my stuff from CT to Cape Cod. I had the POD delivered at the end of October. I called today to have them pick it up - because it costs 375 dollars a month on top of the 1400+ -- But the ** woman I spoke to 'Abby' said they had already charged for March--- Bringing the total so far to over 2k to sit in my driveway for 4 months.

    To start off, they recommend a POD that far exceeds the space I needed - it isn't even half full. They kept billing the wrong card. I originally paid with one card and called them within 2 weeks to give them another card for all future charges--- Twice they charged the wrong card. They don't know how to give accurate information on what POD size you need - they recommend the most expensive. They can't get billing right and charge your card 2 days early and their customer service seems to be outsourced to somewhere in Asia. Would never recommend this company to anyone.

    We were selling our home and needed temporary storage for some of our furniture. I've seen Pods around the town, read about it, seen commercials, and people have used it. My wife called one other option (a moving company), but that was too expensive. I also checked out a few other options, but Pods was the most straightforward and cost-effective choice. I rented a pod and found the booking process to be extremely simple. All I had to do was go online and enter our requirements, including how big of a unit we needed and when. It took minutes. We're in the south of Portland, Maine, and the system matched us with a local provider.

    Two drivers handle this area. We had them on each end and they were very nice guys. They managed to navigate our long driveway without any issues. Watching the machinery move the pod was fascinating. A driver asked us to move a car, which we did, to make more room, and he spun the pod in and put it down. The pod itself was spotless inside, almost like new. We put some of the furniture in it, kept it on our property, and they were very helpful. We were only moving a few houses away, so they came and took it over to our new house when we were ready for it.

    Overall, using Pods was an easy and hassle-free experience. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

    I recently used Pods for a move, and although the overall experience was good, there was a hiccup with the pricing. I felt they should have honored the special for all the pods, but they didn’t due to this oversight.

The pods were in good condition, although the 12-foot pod had a wooden interior, which was different from the others, as they mentioned these were being phased out. It also didn’t have the same tie-on, but it wasn't a major issue.
